Speaker 1: Welcome back Bash our Happy Hour listeners. It's good to chat with you again this week. I'm so excited to be here. And Michelle, we have a very fun episode with a very fun guest coming up. We really do. I'm incredibly excited to talk to this person. If you watch the show Vanderpump Rules, I know I have, Beckaha, you watched Vanderpump Rules before. Oh yeah, I'm not caught up on the current seasons. I hate to admit that, but yes, I have watched my fair share of the Rules back in my day. Absolutely, And so we'll be talking to Katie Maloney and I'm excited. I'm so excited and I and this is actually perfect timing because if you follow Vanderpump Rules, you follow any of the cast. Stasi, one of the cast members, just got married in Italy. Katie was obviously there as one of the bridesmaids. So I can't wait to catch up and get all the tea on that. And I do have to say I was actually just thinking about this when you were talking about Vanderpump Rules. I remember it was one of the first times I ever came to LA Right after my season, I was doing a press round there and the restaurant. I did actually go to the restaurant um, but as we were driving by and we saw Ken Lisa Vanderpump's husband walking out holding he was holding the dog, and he opened up his car door to get into the car and hit himself in the face with the car door, And I wish it was the one perfect moment in time that I wish I would have had my phone out and was recording this, because not only was I starstruck, but I was like, he's a celebrity there, just like us, and so yeah, it's it's in the face with the car door, just like we do, just like we do. And I feel like, now this is really a come full circle moment for me in the world of Vanderpump Rules. Could you imagine, if you know, like how at the end of every episode for the Bachelor and Bachelor, I like they have like those wonderful bloopers and the blooper ruels. I feel like those are always a highlight. Oh definitely, that would that would definitely be the vander Pump Rules blooper for an episode. I would love to see that. Oh my gosh. I really is okay though, and it was fine. He made into the car. He's still live and kicking. I don't think it was too traumatizing for him, but it was a special moment for me when I one of my first times in LA and that's what I remember. But yeah, it'll be a fun episode. But before we bring Katie on, Michelle, what's new with you? Catch me up? How is your week? Ben? You know, it's been a pretty chill week here. It's been wonderful weather. Been able to get out on the lake a little bit, so you can just I mean, Minnesota lake life has been amazing so far already, and so it's just it's so nice. It's so nice. My fifth graders. We are moving into our puberty unit, so that is great. That's going wonderful. But I'm excited because after this episode I get to take off and visit Ryan Claytour, one of my girls that I met a Matt season, and we're going to spend some time in Virginia. So oh that'll be fun. Is that where she lives? Yeah? So people can we People have been sending me their tiktoks that they want us to try. Oh my gosh, we'll enjoy it. And you're just there for a long weekend. Yeah, just a long weekend, just a yeah, this girl time and just I don't know, you know, get away for a little bit. Yeah, you need it. I want to go back to something real quick, because you briefly mentioned Stosse's a wedding, and I feel like there's been I mean, we talked to Hannah Gee about her wedding planning right and all that was going on, and then we have Stose's wedding take place, and then we have JoJo's wedding take a place, and it's like our own. Oh so much love in the air. And I saw so many pictures it looked absolutely beautiful. Yeah, yeah, shout out to Jojo and Jordan, congratulations on your beautiful wedding. You both looked absolutely stunning, glowing, so happy. Um yeah, I love seeing the photos. And of course we do have our bachelor at group chat that we always you know, congratulate all the girls, and we of course threw it out to Jojo, but here too for all of our listeners show them some love. It was beautiful, I think, and I think they're at on their honeymoon in Grease right now, so hopefully they're able to relax and just get off the grid for a little bit. And and did you see that dress change? I did? Okay, Okay, are you pro dress change? Like? Are you planning to have a dress address change at your wedding? Oh? I don't know, honestly, Like I'm I'm all for it. I you know, it's your big day, so do whatever you want. I you know, I grew up in dance and so I loved the costume changes for each each little number. So I'm like, if you want one for the ceremony, and that's what the reception also, I mean and heard both of the dresses were beautiful, but I can see why the first one that she wore to the ceremony would be very difficult to move and dance and it had quite a long train, So I do understand why she wanted something a bit easier to move in. But absolutely, but under even like going through being a bachelorette and like you doing Bachelor live on stage, like for every single piece, like you changed your dress, So why change that once you get to it? You know? Yeah, I'm all poor a dress, and especially like I love to dance, I want to be able to move and mingle and hug and I don't want to have to feel constructed and so yeah, you know, do do you? I know Rachel Lindsay when she got married, I think she had the outfit change and she actually wore like, yeah, this cute little romp or number underneath. What about you do you want to do? I'm going to call it a costume change, but a dress change. Yeah, I could see. Yeah, I could see because I could see myself like going when you go dress shopping, right, I'm sure. I feel like all girls have briefly at least thought about going. Just like the day that you go dress shopping, I feel like it's going to be really hard to choose just one. I feel like, what if I fall in love with two? And like this is the perfect reason to get both? Yeah, you know, well, it's your big day. It's like the one day that you can go all out as much as you want. And the only thing that sucks, I think is like wedding dresses seems so expensive that to buy two of them. I'm like, oh, does that make sense for only one day? But yes it does, you know, do you booboo? We'll all about the memories at this point. Okay, truly and the photos. I mean, yeah, like is if there's variety, I'm all about it. So I think we just will have to have Jojo on one of these days to catch up with her when she's back from scoop. Yeah, when she's back. So I'm so happy for them, so much. So many weddings. I feel like so many people are getting engaged, so many upcoming weddings. It's just, you know, and love is in the air this year. It's say you're so far. Yeah, it's in the water somewhere. And also to so many of my friends right now are getting pregnant or about to have their babies. I'm like, something definitely within the water. But it goes in phases. It goes in phases. It's like, I was just talking to somebody about this the other day, How okay, when you're in high school and all that, you remember those weekends where you would have like fifteen graduation parties to go to that weekend, right, and then your friends go through college and then that whole phase, and then everybody gets engaged at the same time, everyone gets married around the same time, everybody started to have kids. You know. It's just it's it's that segment, it's it's either really really single or really not single. Yeah, I know, I know, I remember like my single friends. I went through a phase when I was I think twenty five twenty six when the first half of my friends were all getting married and I felt like I was going to wedding after wedding, boucherette party, but after bouchette party. And now it's happening again, so it's like mid twenties, early thirties where this is happening. I'm like Thomas and I sat down the other day and we're counting how many weddings we have to go to in the next year, and I think we have nine. And of those nine, seven of them are outside of California, Like we have to travel somewhere. It's crazy, Oh my gosh. But that's I feel like that's so much fun too, especially like when you have a significant other, and like I feel like that it's just really hard to be in a bad mood when you're at a wedding and like you're around all that love and everything like that, and it's just and it's on vacation. Vacations you get to travel and all of that, but a lot I completely agree. So many of my friends have gotten engaged or even before I went on to be the Bachelorette, so many of my friends were in serious relationships. And it's so weird because it was like I thought at that point, like I thought I had met my person and it didn't work out, and so I was going through like, oh my gosh, all my friends are in serious relationships and like they're about to get engaged, and like I'm going in the opposite direction. And then of course, I, you know, become the Bachelorette, meet Nate, get engaged in like less than ninety days, and I'm like, haha, suckers, Yes, I asked you. I mean, I know we've talked a little bit about like any future wedding plans for you, but have you and they talked about where you actually want to do it, Like would you do it back in Minnesota. Honestly, we're really open to it because we just have so many friends and family that's all over and so it's like Minnesota is kind of the middle ground sometimes between Canada and Minnesota. I guess not really, I don't know, Like we just wrote a cover for most amount of like family and friends are going to be able to travel too. So yeah, yeah, it's still in the works for sure. I can't wait to see and hear more whenever you guys get started on that. But Michelle, I think it's time that we bring on the woman of the hour. Katie from Vanderpump Rules is here, so please welcome her to Bauchlor Happy Hour. Yes, hello, welcome to Happy Hour. It's so good to finally have you on. Michelle and I have been fans of you for quite some time and we've been dying to chat with you. So welcome and how are you? Hi? Thank you having knew that was a very nice form welcome. I'm good, very good. I think the jet lag has finally left me. How times did it take because you just got back from Italy? Correct? Yeah, like a Monday night quick turnaround. Um. I want to get into your trip and all about all about the wedding that you you were just at. But I want to start out by asking you, since this is Baucher Happy Hour, have you watched The Badcher or bachert Are you a fan of the show or are you just coming and blind with us? Um? I mean I remember watching from like day one, watching The Bachelor, Like, I mean, I don't I don't remember who was the very what was his name was, like the very first Alex No, like his name was, uh, everybody like Curly he had Curly here, Bro, Curly here, Bob Yeah, Bob guiney, Bob Guinea. And then I would like then I watch you know, Tristan, right, and then I've like popped in and out, um, you know, so not like religiously, but obviously, I mean it's you can't even if you don't watch, you can't you follow sort of via different social media accounts and everything that we're everywhere, aren't well. Yeah, and we can say the same about really any reality TV show, So the same for Michelle and I with vander Pump Rules. It's like, I mean, we've watched, we've we've been fans of the show, but even did you see all of you guys pop up? So that's why it's so fun. I feel like our worlds are colliding right now. Yeah, Oh my gosh, been like slowly making friends with people from this franchise over the years, and it is like once you're in the reality TV world, like there's no way getting away from it. Like somebody always knows somebody, somebody always has a connection. It's it's a big world, but like not at the same time, it's totally small. Yeah. Okay, So we have to jump back to this Italy thing though. So you were in Italy because you were in Stasi's wedding, correct, Yeah? That was How was that? Oh my gosh, it was. I mean, it was so beautiful. I had never been to Italy before, so I was really looking forward to that time. Yeah, And I mean I was also looking forward to just going on an actual like trip for the first time in years, because you know, obviously, but um, you know, also the wedding had been postponed and postponed again, and so to finally have it happened, it just it almost felt surreal. And we were talking before, like even the day before, even when we were at the airport, We're like, this still just doesn't feel real, Like when is it going to feel real? When is it going to feel like this is actually happening? And um, but everything went so perfectly. It was so beautiful. It was obviously very small wedding, and the attendance in itself was very intimate and small, and it just felt so special and it was so romantic and beautiful. I mean, just Italy and itself was just the perfect backdrop for a wedding like that. It looked stunning. And that's the thing, even when you say it was still small and intimate, I feel like you take anything in Italy and it's still gonna judge it up ten times and just be absolutely breathtaking. And so you were the maid of honor. How did your duties go? How did your speech go? I mean I felt like my duties were pretty you know, limited, because there wasn't a whole lot of events and things leading up to it. You know, I planned a little dinner prior, you know, for the first night that we were there, which is some of the girls, and so that was kind of like the main thing. And then the day of she just wanted me to come to her hotel and just sort of hang out with her and get ready, and but you know, she also had some help from other people there, so but yeah, and then I just had to write a speech, which it felt like a lot of pressure because you know, obviously wanted to make it really meaningful and heartfelt, but also, you know, when you have a friendship with somebody that feels like a sister and spans over a decade long. You're like, how do I even put this into words and really make it also entertaining and under and under a certain time limit. But I think I nailed it. I think I did pretty good. I got some tears, I got some laughs. I hit all the you hit all the points. I love it. Do you have a favorite line from your speech? Just a little sum give us a quote from your speech. I like the part where I said, I said, you know, um, something that her and I both have in common is we both think we know what's best for you. Seem have a point though, Yeah, especially especially when it comes to men, you know. But right, were you able to like stay in Italy a little bit after the wedding and like do some exploring while you were there? Yeah? So I stayed. So the wedding was on Thursday, and I stayed and I left the following Monday, So definitely got some sightseeing and I took a train with some friends to Venice for the day, which was really special and really, I mean it's breathtaking. Oh man, that's my favorite place in Italy. What was your favorite thing that you ate and drank? Throughout your entire time. There so much positive. It's so good. And me and Christina Kelly also randomly some of upon this pizza place, like around the corner from our hotel, Like we just were like, let's just go find something to eat, and we're like, should we have this pizza? And it was ended up being the best pizza. And then it's also fresh there. Everything just tasted good, even when I think it was like probably mediocre or touristy, it just tasted so much better than anything here. So and then obviously I just had I drank my weight in apperall sprints. But yes, I love it, Okay, Katie, I have two questions. One, first of all, it's still related to the wedding. Are there any fun or crazy wild stories that really stick out too that you want to share? And Two, how flirtatious were the Italian men? Were they over the top? I wish they were more? Really it was one So the last night we were there, Christina and I went had a picnic in this really beautiful garden park that was right by our hotel, and it was so it was just so beautiful and her and I was just sitting on this you know sheet, and this Italian fellow rides up on his bike and he just starts talking to us. But he doesn't speak any engle Ish at all, but he's like really trying. He's like speaking into his you know whatever so and translating. But like that was like the most effort was he saying, um, just trying to ask if I was you know, if we had husbands or were engaged. Did you give him your number? I think he like follows me on Instagram or something. But I mean we were like, oh, we're leaving tomorrow, like cut this is it? Um okay, okay, no, But I mean but I will say, like walking around just we did a lot of walking, and especially in the area we were in, it was definitely more of like a you know, local sort of residential vibe until we got into the more tourist area and I was just like, the Italian men are very attractive and very well dressed. I was like, so well dressed, wow, so put together. Yeah. We got into like it must have been like some kind of like banking financial area and I was like, lunchtime, just go there. Yeah, they're so put together. Oh my gosh. Yeah, they it's a place to be especially if you're single. Um, okay, so the wedding, Yeah, are there any fun crazy stories that stick out to you that you're able to share or want to share? Um, fun or crazy stories. I mean, it was just nothing that's like that's like, oh my god, this like really stands out to me. And it was just it was just all so it was all fun. I mean yeah, nothing like super outlandish. It just was just everything just went so perfect and nothing. Yeah, like exactly I was. I was nervous that I was not going to fit into my dress because I it was like basically like a core set up top and just everything just I felt like a little bit of like a Plato fun factory where it just pushed every bit of skin and anything extra just at the top of it. You looked beautiful. You looked so beautiful. But I would probably be the same, like, especially after eating all of the carbs and the pasta and the pizza and the wine and be like, is this still gonna fit? Katie have to say one thing that I loved that Saucy did and tell me was it. To close her wedding, she went out to Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas as you. Is that how she shut the night down? Yeah, that was the last song on the night. I love it. That's my karaoke song. So when I saw that on Instagramiz, I was like, I love this woman. Yeah, that's like she that is like one of her favorite songs. Like she'll put that on in an uber any time of the year, any doesn't matter. I never would have guessed that. I would have never guessed that that was her song. She loves holiday music and show tunes and doesn't she She's really like into Halloween, right. I feel like I saw that on an episode or something like that, Like she's like intensely decorates for Halloween, right or no? Yes, like she just she loves a holiday. She just loves getting into a theme and into a holiday, but specifically like Halloween and Christmas. Yeah, good for her. I love it. Okay. So pivoting it from the wedding and your trip, we have to say congrats on Vanderpump Rules getting picked up for another season. And there's been so much news in the world of vander Pump But are you excited to carry on into another season or at this point are you kind of like over it? Where are you at. Oh no, I'm totally excited. I'll do this till the wheels fall off. Ever. Sound good to hear though, that like it's like something that's like sustainable, right, and that like if you know what I mean, if it was too intense, you wouldn't want to do it. That's all right, that's awesome that you love it. Yeah, I think I think maybe, I mean, I'm sure maybe they'll come a day that I'll be totally over it or I don't, who knows, But um, I do love doing it. It's it's a lot of fun. And um, I'm very excited that we are going to be doing another season. I mean, obviously it's life is very different now, but um, you know, I'm excited about the future. So um the season, I think it is just going to be a good season. Yeah. And when does filming start play? Like where this filming start to take place? That's a very good question. Um, you know, typically in the past we would start in May, but that's all kind of changed in the last couple of years anyway. Um, so I don't I haven't heard of this like start date just yet, but um, hopefully soon. Yeah, I mean I would imagine some time in the next it's like six ssh weeks, but who knows. Oh my gosh, this is so having you on because I'm sure the way that we would film a season of the Bout Shirt or Botch Shirt or Paradise is probably very different from a vanderpump Rule season, and I want to get into that and pick your brain. But I also want to mention one of the reasons why we really wanted you on here and so excited to talk to you today is because, you know, being on a reality TV show, so much of your life, basically every aspect of your life is put under our magnifying glass, and everyone watches everything that you're doing, everything that you're saying, which we can relate to, and at times it's so fun and so worth it, and at times it's fucking terrifying and very very very scary thing to do. So overall, from filming all these seasons, you know, from the start of when it first began back in what was it, twenty thirteen, Yeah, twenty thirteen. It premiered in twenty thirteen, so we filmed in twenty twelve, twenty twelve, Okay, so almost a decade of filming. What what are like one or two things that you've learned most about yourself throughout this entire process. Um mostly too, I guess trust yourself and trust your instincts, and you've gotten listened to that the most, um, And then I guess to and to like really lean into that all um, and to not take it too seriously. You know, at the end of the day, I don't know if that's totally the most sound of the things I've learned, um, but yeah, well I can only sense oh a thou yeah, and especially I mean, you know, the way Vanda Pump Rules is filmed is vastly different from the Bachelort like we went on to find love. But also in the back of my mind, I'm like, this is still a TV show. They're still trying to get ratings. You're still trying to get certain aspects to make this show what it is and entertaining. So it's like, yeah, you'll take it seriously. But at the end of the day too, it's not like you know, like live or die, eat, breathe, like this is you know exactly what your life is right now. It's like you have to have some sort of I mean, like don't take it seriously, and it's in the sense of like some people are like, you know, this is like I guess, I guess some people just put themselves up too high on a pedestal and it's like literally like listen, like this this is what we sign up for. We're on a show. Like you can't put your take yourself too seriously in the sense of like being more important than anyone else. Yeah, in this cast or on this show, like this is what you sign up knowing what you kind of sign up for. Yeah, if you remember being in the spotlight and you know, kind of like Becca said that, when you are filming shows such as like The Bachelorette, Bachelor, right, like it's it's it's one person there who's you know, fine funding love amongst other people. But like when you're on this show with all of your friends together, do you feel like the show gets in between your friendships at times? Oh? I mean it can absolutely bring issues and problems to the surface. But I can't blame the show because it's it's just it's part of the process. When when there's an issue or something that comes up, we can't we have to examine it, we have to talk about it. We have to until we're blue in the face. But I think that's also kind of a good thing and been rewarding because we work through it. So I think I think, if anything, some of my friendships wouldn't be where they are today without the show. I think it's it's been a positive thing and in a lot of ways. You know, sometimes it can be frustrating, but yeah, just because like you're even if you're a person who doesn't like to talk about your emotions or what you're feeling or being vulnerable, you know, when you're sitting in those itms and you are having to talk about those situations, like it kind of almost like scaffolds it at least it dead for both Nate and I of like learning how to talk about things that are really not comfortable talking about. So it does challenge you and push you outside your comfort zone with that for sure. Yeah. Yeah, but if you if you can do it and you know, be kind of you know, resilient and and it's like therapy and a way and get to the bottom of it and get to the crux and find out like what the issue is and forgive and move past things, and you know, then you can be stronger than you were before. Yeah, who is somebody from just filming an overall in the past several seasons said has really surprised you where you win in you know, not necessarily being friends with them or thinking you'd be close with them and it pivoted. Or who's somebody that you were super close with that you kind of drifted away, Like who's had surprised you the most? I mean a huge obvious one would be Lalla because when she came on the show, she came in hot and like just with a full you know, and it just rubbed me the wrong way. And I you know, I can be slow to warm, but also just I kind of pick up on someone's energy and I just didn't like what I was getting from her almost immediately. And you know some people are just like, well, you're just jealous because she's younger and hotter, and it's like, well, I mean, I'm not blind. She was younger and she was hot, but it wasn't it wasn't a threat to me. I mean I have lots of beautiful, hot friends, but she just had this sort of like cockiness to her that just rubbed me the wrong way. Yeah, but I think kind of once we were able to like let the guard down a little bit between one of us one another. We kind of discovered that we have similar defense mechanisms and fighting styles, and we're more similar than we realize to begin with. And we but we had a lot more in common too. We're from the same state and we you know, similar backgrounds. So that was also surprised to become as close as we are now concerning where we started, that's huge. Yeah, you know, And I think in general with other people, you know, I think it's like seasons, you know, they come and they go, and they you know. And I think with everyone else, I'm still you know, friends with and close to, maybe not as tight with. But I don't think it's necessarily negative. I'm not like surprised by any really. Yeah, absolutely, And is it so okay? So, I mean we've both been in are we all three of us have been in a position right where you are going through these relationships with their whether it's friends, whether it's significant others. But I mean everything truly is out there on a platform, and you are truly showcasing everything in like those vulnerable pieces, and you know, we know and Becca knows, and we've we've understood that you you've recently had to go through an incredibly tough, you know, break up with just ending the relationship with Tom and all those different things, and so how would you how would you say that you handle that, or like, what advice do you have for people who are going through a similar situation. It might not be public, right, but you know people looking to you for advice because they've they've watched this kind of unfold. Oh, I mean, kind of going back to what I said about trusting yourself and trusting you know, listen and listening to your guts, you know, I think that's the that is your guiding lights that you have, and if you don't, you know, it'd be really easy to bury your head in a stand and just plug your ears and not want to listen to that. But I think that's doing yourself and mass just massive disservice because I think I did that for a long time and I think it just got too loud and it was just like, okay, where you're going to lose a lot of sleep now. Yeah, I think that shows so much strength for you though, just because like you know, you being in the public eye, you feel pressured to you could feel pressured to continue a relationship, right because that's what everybody else wants or that's what everybody else thinks is best. But like for you to make that decision for yourself, yeah, I mean incredibly empowering. Well, I think, you know, it's it's not being afraid of doing this, this this scary thing and making that's a hard choice because obviously what's in front of you is the unknown. And am I going to be okay? Like I was so scared of like starting over, like being alone. And once I finally realized like, okay, this is something I have to do and I have to do for myself, and I you know, I'm not happy and I want to be happy, and this is what's ultimately going to make me happy. The minute I made that choice, this thing I was scared of the most became like a gift, Like it became like an opportunity for opportunity, and I was no longer scared of it. And you know, obviously it's It doesn't mean it's not sad and not heartbreaking, because one hundred percent is it's like it was. It gutted me. But I think just leaning in and trusting your gut and listening to that um, you know, because it's about always, always about the relationship with yourself and nurturing that and taking care of that the most. I well, and I can speak from my experience going through a very public breakup and just knowing breakups are never easy there and no one wants it either heartbreak is heartbreak, whether you're in the public eye or not. Like that part is already difficult, and then to add on, I mean, it was so difficult going through just my personal breakup because everyone a before we even announced that, everyone thought that they were entitled to know exactly what was going on day by day, detail by detail, and I was still trying to process it on my own, let alone, like figuring out how the hell am I going to let the whole world in and know this? And it's it's a really scary thing. You kind of feel like you're jumping off a ledge. But do you feel like when you finally came to terms and had some time to sit in your decision and know what was best for you, you said something that like, you know, an opportunity for an opportunity, did it feel like you had this sense of now new freedom where you could just kind of breathe and be like, Okay, this decision is made, you know, whether everyone in the public knows or not, and so this is not how I'm going to live my life. Did you feel like a breath of fresh air after that? Oh? I felt a huge sense of relief because everything I had been doing I no longer had to do anymore. I didn't have to be concerned and live for someone else. There was a decision. I be like, Okay, well, now I get to make decisions for myself and everything. Every day I wake up, it's like, what am I going to do today to make myself happy or make myself You know, I no longer needed the validation of another person or I didn't have to worry about someone else, you know what I mean, and that I was bogged down by a relationship that wasn't serving me anymore, you know. And you know I also I had to train myself over the years to to really not give a fuck. Can I say what the public thinks, It doesn't mean I don't ever ever think about it. But when it came to this, I knew obviously people were gonna have opinions or anything like that, but I was just like, I this, it's this, it, So it doesn't matter what anyone has to say about this, because this is ultimately like my life, and like it's gonna there's gonna be people, we're gonna talk, they're gonna say things, but like this time, it really really really doesn't matter. So like you're gonna do what you want to do regardless, and so yeah, yeah, and once I got to the decision, I'm just it honestly is like I don't care, Like I don't care what. I literally don't care. I feel really good to the point where I'm just like I want to I want to ask you this too, because I know Laala is currently going through a divorce. So have you two been able to bond more through your shared experience of that right now? Like, has would you say that has brought you closer together? Well, she didn't get married, so she's she's not doing divorce, but she is going through you know, things with custody with because she has a child. Yeah, it's you know, they're our situations are very different. Um, I'm I feel fortunate that things with Tom and I are very amicable and very peaceful. And so there's still a lot of love between us and she you know, it's the complete complete opposite between her, yeah and Randall. Um, So there's that, but she's she's been amazing and so supportive of me and like my champion cheerleader everything. So like, like I love her so much for that, and I feel like I've been that to her as well. So even though like our situations aren't the same and there's not you know, a lot that we can like relate on that, you know what I mean, we are in some way, you know, not in some ways in the same way, starting over at the same time together. Um. You know, again, it's different with her because she's you know, has a baby and dealing with sharing custody and what in all the complications that brings along with it. But we're just trying to be supportive in the ways that each other needs it, right. Yeah, she's been amazing. I love hearing just women supporting women and I are huge for that. Yeah, everything, And so Katie, you talk about just everything and just being so liberating and kind of moving on to this new piece and you know, moving into this tenth season of vander Pump Rules. You know, as a as a single woman have you thought about that. Have you thought about what that's going to feel like or or what you want out of that, or what it's going to look like, and just kind of what you're thinking of going into this. I think about it all the time, really, I mean, like, yeah, how can I not. Well, So we're i mean, you know, we're in the process of literally in the next two weeks moving that's which is crazy because there's so much to do still. Um so yeah, I'm We're selling our house and I'm going to move into like an apartment downsizing, which is great because I don't you know, I don't want to have to make any like big commitments and buy a house or like, but it's going to be your apartment. Yeah, So I just want to have like a little space that's mine and then figure out like where, you know, take some time to figure out where I want to be long term. Do I want to like go to the beach, Do I want to go to the East Side? Do I want to you know? And I'm I'm so okay with just taking that time to like figure out like what what's the vibe for Katie long term? And you know, and so also you know, and just kind of reclaiming my identity and like who I am, because regardless of like how independent or individual you are, when you've been with someone for so long, like you do lose that a little bit. So just kind of like finding out the things that I really like and really enjoy and what I don't like, but more focused on the positive of what I like and what I want and what I like to do and and you know, and just yeah, just saying yes and being happy find what fuels Katie as an individual. Yeah, there's a hobby that you have that you've always wanted to do, and you're like, yes, this is how the time. I am, like the queen, I'm like a professional hobbyist. Like that's I get teased non stop because like I will pick up hobbies like it's my job. If you had to guess, what are you feeling? Oh, that's a doing good question. Um, I don't know. I think it's gonna maybe it's gotta be something like really just off the wall in random I feel like I could see you. Um, I don't know why these two things popped in my head. Okay, pottery, I feel like I could see you, like doing something with like ceramics, face yes or no, oh, I love yeah, pottery sexty, I would totally get into ceramics or this one's not as sexy. What are those ones where you like the pit the not calling you an old lady, but like the pin pin whatever? Stitch crosswork, Michelle, I'm sing cross stitch. What are you saying? I'm not that's what I'm saying. I'm not saying it's whatever. I just didn't know how I was to explain it. But I feel like a lot of people are moving into that now. A couple of years ago, a couple a couple of years ago, a couple of seasons ago, I attempted knitting and I got roasted so hard for that. I also knit, so I don't it's so hard. It's so hard. I'm not I'm not that good with it, but you know I could use it. We visit it. I actually was doing. I actually recently picked up doing embroidering, so that's easy. What do you embroider? Um? No, I just I'm following patterns right now to like learn, and you know that's kind of the easiest way to learn. Okay, to come up at Marshalls or you can order them on um, like eBay or like Amazon, there's like a bank off one and like the different ones that you can do mountain or like fields and things like that, just to like kind of like learn the skill of it. The basic stitches. Yeah, I love that long stick. But like, okay, so embroidery or um, I hear a word on the street there's something about like a sandwich shop. Well yeah, is that a hobby or like that's more like the business endeavor, but yeah, so to be a hobby. Yeah, Ariana and I are gonna open up a sandwich shop. It's been like it's been a long not I wouldn't say a long time in the making. We we kind of like had this idea pop up at the end of the summer last year. Um, after I got the boot from the Guy's bar, because it's something that I had always talked about Tom, but he's you know, a little busy, and so Ariane was like, I'll do this with you, and I was like, oh my god, let's do this. And so we've just been working with a consulting group who are amazing and brilliant and they've opened up spaces of their own and worked with some amazing restaurants around LA and bars, and since we've spent a lot of time just kind of like really crystallizing the whole vision and just what the whole concept is, like what is it's called something about Her? But like because it's gonna be more than just sandwiches, we wanted to have like its own like vibe, it's own personality, a little bit of like retail wine bar, like wine beer barber, maybe cocktails as well, depending on the space we can get and if it has department or but I could go either way. Do you know what area of Lle you want us to be in? Do you have that space in mind? The valley, the valley, Okay, valley needs the valley. I'm such a like valley girl. I do love it so much. Ever here and I we're gonna start our own taco trek one time, Yes, we talked about it. The advice that the consultants gave us or they said, they're like, if you want to be successful in opening up any kind of you know, a food establishment, go with three things. Piece of tacos are sandwiches, because those are three things that people will always try, Like new spaces always go back to you can't fail at it. That's actually super true. The triple whammy things that people always love. Well, Katie, I will say, once this is up and running, if you need a taste tester, I volunteers tribute. I will come in whenever you need me. And if you need to get wine into it, I have a sparkling wineline that you could you know, we'll just stock it full. Amazing. Yeah, because we we especially um, not that we're trying to disclude anyone, but because it's something about her. We're you know, we're all about supporting women and especially like a female owned uh businesses and products, you know. So it's like if it's like a female owned brewery or a female owned wine brand, or there's a female owned tea company that I really will just sit in and you know, our products or candles or you know, all of all of that sort of I love that business idea. Okay, wait, Katie, Katie, Okay, tell me I want your honest, honest opinion. Would you ever go on Paradise or Bachelor? At first? I don't know if I would do Bachelor that is like that is sound strettle, but Paradise I feel like would be like fun crossover. Can we get a crossover event? It is a very fun time. Let's do this. Speaking of that, So, and if you don't want to answer this, I totally understand. But where are you kind of at dating wise? Like are you open to meeting someone? Do you want to just take some time as single Katie to figure out, you know, next steps? Where are you kind of at in that space? I'm not trying to like like get a boyfriend like I was like a relationship, but like I'm having fun like meeting people, like I like going out like farting or like I've been like on a date, Like I'm like, it's like to me, it's just like it's like fun, Like I feel like all the guys are like twenty eight So it's like it's almost kind of good because there's no pressure there no dating apps. Oh, no app at least for like right now. I don't know the thin now I see. I was like by the time I was already like dating top that was pre apps, so I've had zero experience to it. But for me, like I'm i feel like I'm a fashion All the people that are on the apps are out in the world. I'd rather go to places that I like to hang out and I enjoy, and I imagine like that would be the company that I want to be in. And I don't have any qualms about like going up to a fella that I think is cute and being like hello, or if you know someone wants to come and let's say, okay, let's set the scene. Let's pickup line. People one set pickup line. I feel like she let me. She said that she does, she'll go up to somebody, and I'm like, yes, yes, yes, I love women like that. Let's say I don't want to be like cheesy about it or like I like your hair, Like I don't know, what would you like naturally say do you come here? You're at this place wherever you like to hang out, and there's a good looking dude and you're like okay, I think, like what would you do? Like hied like ask a question of kind so like you can make a conversation and it's not just like some weird awkwardness or like make them put them off in a weird way that you know, not like a do you come here often? But like if they're wearing something that like you can I don't know, just you gotta kind of like find like a starter, find that talking they're wearing a T shirt or something and there's like some kind of graphic on it or something, or I don't know, find something about what they have going on or their hairstyle or there's I don't know something. We gotta find that one talking point. Yeah, well you're gonna be good. I'm trying to think, Michelle, do you know anyone single in Bachelor Nation that you would really think would be a fit for Katie? Oh, that's kind of think of like you need a minute to think about. I feel like I need at this point. There's so many people that are part of Bachelor Nation that, like, I feel like it's a large dating pool, like I need, Like, yeah, what is it called like game cards? Like baseball cards, but bachelor cards with like stats, stats and everything. Oh my gosh, we can make a game out of that. Also would be like I feel like I It would also be potentially like attractive to or not tract I would be attracted to somebody outside of like reality world, you know what I mean? Yeah, I mean yeah. It can be a little weird when you start to like mix world, yeah, I mean not. But also sometimes it's it's also really hard explaining his world to other people and having them to be like, oh, yeah for sure, yeah you know it. And also sometimes people like don't want that either, And this is something that like didn't cross my mind til now I'm like, oh yeah, Like that's like, might be that might be a problem moving forward, Like some people might be like you're great, but like I don't, like I don't get down with your world. Yeah, but also at the same time, like you're not gonna want somebody who isn't willing to go for that, right, because if if I truly wanted to be with somebody, those things that guess it would play into it. But like that wouldn't be a reason for you to leave, right, So I mean it in the bright side, it's going to weed out the ones that you know are going to put an effort or that you know really don't want it. Yeah. But then it's also like but if someone wants it too much, then it's like it then it's wrong. Right, It's a balance, it's a balance. There's certain people that they there's on people like that at our show where I'm just like, you want this the thirst You can smell their right away. Yeah.
