<v Speaker 1>Listen WWE Superstar Drew mcintylor, and you're listening to the <v Speaker 1>WWE podcast. <v Speaker 2>The show, the one that everybody wants me. <v Speaker 3>I st sixteen, So guys, work your. <v Speaker 1>Ass this mind you can acknowledge me. <v Speaker 2>What is going on? Every buddy, and welcome to another <v Speaker 2>episode of the Main Event Review. Thank you very much <v Speaker 2>for tuning in on this episode today. For those that <v Speaker 2>do watch main of you on a regular basis, I'm <v Speaker 2>talking the show, not the podcast. There is actually no <v Speaker 2>episode to review today. It was a full year compilation <v Speaker 2>of all the Main Event matches that occurred throughout most <v Speaker 2>of the year, just the main highlights. So I thought <v Speaker 2>I'd do something a little bit different on this Main <v Speaker 2>Event episode and pretty much want to wrap up everything <v Speaker 2>that's happened on Main Event and some just key highlight <v Speaker 2>moments I guess that have occurred. So don't think this <v Speaker 2>episode will be very long. Honestly, it's not something I've <v Speaker 2>prepared for either. Just went on Main Event today, tried <v Speaker 2>to watch a few of the matches and give my <v Speaker 2>sort of favorite match across the whole Main Event rosters <v Speaker 2>throughout the whole year, and then also pretty much caving <v Speaker 2>off I think the final year before we get to <v Speaker 2>January and Rural Ron will begins and everything else sort <v Speaker 2>of kicks on for WrestleMania. So I guess I do <v Speaker 2>want to start with probably the probably best crowd reaction <v Speaker 2>on main event, and that was most definitely and I'm <v Speaker 2>not trying to be biased here, but it was Grayson <v Speaker 2>Waller in Australia in Perth taking on Ray Phoenix in <v Speaker 2>a match that was a really really good match as well, <v Speaker 2>and it was actually awesome to see Grayson Waller being <v Speaker 2>on main event. I would have preferred that he was <v Speaker 2>on either SmackDown or Raw answered Samy Zain's Open Challenge, <v Speaker 2>which would have made more sense there, but he ended <v Speaker 2>up taking on Ray Phoenix and he did end up <v Speaker 2>winning the match there with an interesting sort of finisher. <v Speaker 2>As I've mentioned previously, it was like a nothing but <v Speaker 2>net sort of three sixty finish which was really good. <v Speaker 2>And Yeah, since then, he hasn't been able to really <v Speaker 2>get on the main scene. He's been doing stuff with <v Speaker 2>The New Day, but there's nothing really going on for him, <v Speaker 2>which is a shame because I think he's got the <v Speaker 2>characteristics to be a very good heel. I've mentioned it <v Speaker 2>on several occasions. I'd love for Grayson Waler to be <v Speaker 2>I guess the mis for the future. And people might <v Speaker 2>not think the mes is a legend or whatnot, but <v Speaker 2>he is a two time Grand Slam champion and he <v Speaker 2>was a very good heel in his time. He's certainly <v Speaker 2>not one of the best we've ever had, but he's <v Speaker 2>definitely up there, and I really think Grayson Waller could <v Speaker 2>could reach up to the levels of that. I miss <v Speaker 2>his show the Waller Effect as well. I think they <v Speaker 2>could definitely bring that back as well. And I just <v Speaker 2>love to see someone that's got pure Aussie pride and <v Speaker 2>he represents everything about Australia in negative and positive ways <v Speaker 2>as well. But I think that match for me was <v Speaker 2>probably the I guess best match, and in terms of <v Speaker 2>crowd reactions, the loudest crowd reactions of the year for <v Speaker 2>main Event. Then we have the most featured on Main Event, <v Speaker 2>and that's talking about the Alpha Academy. So we've spoke <v Speaker 2>about the Alpha Academy. I think every single week. They're <v Speaker 2>a feel good, fun team. I think while while they <v Speaker 2>continue to be in WW, they're probably just going to <v Speaker 2>be into backstage segments and primos, and when I'm talking <v Speaker 2>about Alpha Academy, I'm morally talking about Otis and a <v Speaker 2>Curate Tazawa. Maxine dupri herself has taken leaps and bounds <v Speaker 2>this year and is now currently the Women's Into Continental Champions, <v Speaker 2>so good on her for that. So I would say <v Speaker 2>that next year the Alpha Academy will probably continue to <v Speaker 2>be on the main event, be the staple, just get <v Speaker 2>the crowd going, get them energized, and just bring some <v Speaker 2>exciting moments as they normally do. They're fun and sort <v Speaker 2>of I guess I would say careless team. You know, <v Speaker 2>Otis has a laugh if the worm a Cura Tzawa <v Speaker 2>is the little small guy that gets thrown around by Otis. <v Speaker 2>So I don't think that that's going to change anytime soon, <v Speaker 2>if I'm honest. So I think, yeah, they've been on <v Speaker 2>main event every week and they'll probably continue to do <v Speaker 2>so as well. But they were the long the most appearances, <v Speaker 2>They had the most appearances on the main event show <v Speaker 2>in total as well. The next one would be the <v Speaker 2>biggest surprise main event appearance, and I would have to <v Speaker 2>go Damien Priest for sure. Him being on a main <v Speaker 2>event card was not signing I ever expected to see <v Speaker 2>and the fact that he was on there was simply crazy. <v Speaker 2>And well he won the match, he beat Kid Wilson, <v Speaker 2>But at the end of the day, I don't think <v Speaker 2>a person like Damien Price should be on a main <v Speaker 2>event show like he went on there and then he <v Speaker 2>ended up opening SmackDown the other day. Go check out <v Speaker 2>my SmackDown review by the way, But yeah, that was <v Speaker 2>a nice, nasty surprise for me just seeing Damien Priest <v Speaker 2>there and hopefully we don't see that next year superstars <v Speaker 2>of his level being back on main event as well, <v Speaker 2>and the same for women's I will go Stephanievakere. She <v Speaker 2>did take on Ivan Now and got the victory. But <v Speaker 2>the only difference between these two was that when Stephanie <v Speaker 2>Vakaire joined the main roster, she had her main event <v Speaker 2>run and that was like literally I think, a one <v Speaker 2>off from what we saw from Stephanie vakn I think <v Speaker 2>it was a good way to enter her into the <v Speaker 2>main scene and to give her a chance to compete <v Speaker 2>on main event, But I don't think she's going to <v Speaker 2>be near main event anytime soon. I think she's got <v Speaker 2>a very good stable place on Monday Night Row she's <v Speaker 2>currently the Women's A World champion, and yeah, I definitely <v Speaker 2>think it's going to stay like that as well. So <v Speaker 2>those are like my sort of final takes on main event, <v Speaker 2>the matches that occurred if you did want to see <v Speaker 2>the actual show. We had Ray Phoenix and Grayson Waller <v Speaker 2>Grace Waller getting the victory. We had OTM and the <v Speaker 2>Alpha Academy with the I believe the Alpha Academy getting <v Speaker 2>the victory here, and then we had Stephanie Vakere take <v Speaker 2>on IVY. Now you can see where the trend is <v Speaker 2>coming from, Stephanie va Kerre getting the victory. And last <v Speaker 2>but not least, it was the machine Guns taking on <v Speaker 2>as I bring it up Thraxium, which was a pretty <v Speaker 2>bad and fourth match as well. Again, sometimes on main <v Speaker 2>event you've got two baby faces going at it with <v Speaker 2>each other, and that's sort of at the end they <v Speaker 2>all raise their hands up at the motors Shitty. The <v Speaker 2>Motor City machine Gun's got the victory for that one. <v Speaker 2>But yeah, I don't know about like what's gonna happen <v Speaker 2>with the main event next year. The only thing I <v Speaker 2>do know for sure is that the Alpha Academy will <v Speaker 2>continue to be on there, so excited for another year <v Speaker 2>of main event. So this is you can call this <v Speaker 2>like a little bit of a wrap up, just a <v Speaker 2>small episode to come in. I'm not sure if they're <v Speaker 2>going back to normal episodes next week, but if they are, <v Speaker 2>I'll definitely bring one out or else I'll be posting <v Speaker 2>when the next episode comes out and we go back <v Speaker 2>to normal. But yeah, just a quick little episode to <v Speaker 2>sort of just give you a small recap. Thank you <v Speaker 2>very much for tuning into it. If you guys do <v Speaker 2>celebrate Christmas, Merry Christmas to you all. Hope you guys <v Speaker 2>have a happy new year. Here in Australia, we celebrate <v Speaker 2>a summer Christmas, which is which is quite the So <v Speaker 2>we usually have our Christmas during the day and we <v Speaker 2>normally have like a barbecue going off and a lot <v Speaker 2>of people say shrimp on the barbie, but I've never <v Speaker 2>had a shrimp on the barbie on my life. But yeah, <v Speaker 2>the barbecue's on and everyone's sort of in shorts and <v Speaker 2>t shirts rather than sweaters and at nights, so yeah, <v Speaker 2>that's sort of our Christmas. But Merry Christmas to everyone. <v Speaker 2>If I don't hear from yous next year, have a <v Speaker 2>lovely new year, and really excited to bring back main <v Speaker 2>event episodes once again in twenty twenty six in what <v Speaker 2>will be hopefully a big wrestling year on the calendar. <v Speaker 2>This year was good overall. I think if I bring <v Speaker 2>up the other stuff main shows, but obviously it was <v Speaker 2>centered by John Cena's retirement tour, and I think now <v Speaker 2>that that's out the way and it is sad that <v Speaker 2>Johnsena's gone, we'll be able to more focus on main <v Speaker 2>storyline too. Hopefully Triple H can learn from his booking <v Speaker 2>this year, because I think there was a few that <v Speaker 2>were overhyped and a bit disappointing. And hope hopefully if <v Speaker 2>the Rock does come back, he actually does something and <v Speaker 2>doesn't ruin storylines either. But overall, it's been great to <v Speaker 2>see all the superstars perform as well. You know what <v Speaker 2>one I'll do Men and Female Superstars of the Year. <v Speaker 2>For me, I'm giving my male award two. It would <v Speaker 2>have to be either Gantha or bron Breaker. I think <v Speaker 2>rome Breaker would be most emerging, but it have to <v Speaker 2>be one of those. And for the women's I would <v Speaker 2>give Tiffany Stratton given her run this year was pretty <v Speaker 2>it was pretty spectacular until she did drop the belt <v Speaker 2>and a close second being Stephanie Vare. But yeah, that's <v Speaker 2>it from me. I'll catch you guys next year. Once again, <v Speaker 2>thank you very much for tuning into these main event episodes. <v Speaker 2>I hope you've been enjoying them and take care. <v Speaker 3>Thanks for listening to the WWE podcast.
