Episode 92 - The War of The Beast pt1. A new threat arises.
On today’s cast we begin our coverage of the War of the Beast. We open with the setting of the imperium in the middle on M32, where the imperium was actually doing kid of great (thanks Guilliman!) Then we get into the invasion of the chromes and the appearance of the first attack moon. From there everything starts to fall apart as the Lords of Tera do Lords of Terra stuff. Thankfully their hands get forced by the Inquisition and Assassins and the imperium takes action. Only to find their great success undermined by a greater threat.

[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome to the Forty K-Lorecast. [SPEAKER_02]: Welcome to Forty-K-Lorecast with me, John Barsadian, Brad Justin. [SPEAKER_02]: On today's cast, we're jumping into one of the greatest turning points for the Imperium, the War of the Beast, the event that completely reshaped the Imperium that existed before it. [SPEAKER_02]: It's like this war. [SPEAKER_00]: The War of Terror still sucked to this day, but I don't think they've ever sucked as much as they did during this time. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: And we're going to spend a lot of time on that. [SPEAKER_02]: Before we begin as always, the Forty-K-Lore cast is a weekly podcast focusing the lower the warmer Forty-K universe, releasing every Monday at seven PM Eastern time. [SPEAKER_02]: If you like the show, please like and comment on it. [SPEAKER_02]: It helps spread us out to other audiences and blue improves our algorithm. [SPEAKER_02]: Also, for those who want to help us expand the show into other things, we have added a Patreon to the show that gives you the show ad free for four ninety nine a month. [SPEAKER_02]: I know in Canadian it's more than that and it Australian de bloons. [SPEAKER_02]: It's way more than that. [SPEAKER_02]: But whatever they have. [SPEAKER_02]: It's like my favorite country, but they're just because they're my favorite people. [SPEAKER_02]: Also, if you're looking to show notes, you'll see a links to our YouTube page, which by the time you guys are hearing this, we'll have quite a few videos on it, including some live streams of us playing the game. [SPEAKER_02]: How many of them, the plan is that you'll be able to see Brad and I playing, plus a lot of people playing in our event. [SPEAKER_02]: Unless the whole thing fails miserably, in which case you'll see portions of it. [SPEAKER_00]: And luckily, as usual, we plan this, to set up right before the event goes live. [SPEAKER_00]: So we're totally on target for our brand. [SPEAKER_02]: I will one hundred percent a lot of our notes. [SPEAKER_02]: We are recording this less than one week before the event is happening. [SPEAKER_02]: The streaming gear I purchased is arriving tomorrow. [SPEAKER_02]: In a period of about three days, I'm going to figure out how to stream more hammer. [SPEAKER_00]: We should be fine. [SPEAKER_02]: We'll be great. [SPEAKER_02]: We'll be great. [SPEAKER_02]: There's also a link in our show notes to our discord. [SPEAKER_02]: If you want to go to that, it is a wonderful place for interacting around the cast, Warhammer in general, everything. [SPEAKER_02]: We really do pump it because it does, we're really, really proud of it. [SPEAKER_02]: I love going in there every single day. [SPEAKER_02]: All the questions that are being in there, they're being answered not by me, but by the community. [SPEAKER_02]: All the help people are providing, especially to newer players who are interested in maybe learning how to play the game. [SPEAKER_02]: We're just understanding the game better. [SPEAKER_02]: The amount of support that sits in our discord could not give me more joy. [SPEAKER_02]: Big shout out to Salarsia, Snaz, Doc, Maestro, Query, Kthulu, [SPEAKER_02]: Girls back nougals are two new people curl and iron mega's and as always Steve. [SPEAKER_00]: I do love the fact that he's extreme name on it [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's just easier. [SPEAKER_02]: It's that way. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, because I truth that if I say there are real names and people like, yeah, I guess that's a mod. [SPEAKER_02]: Now you know who is modding you. [SPEAKER_02]: Doxing every one of them. [SPEAKER_02]: Go, of course. [SPEAKER_02]: By the way, Brass. [SPEAKER_00]: Accidentally, and not realizing it's a bad thing. [SPEAKER_00]: What? [SPEAKER_00]: I think if they want stuff. [SPEAKER_02]: People say they want to sense stuff to use. [SPEAKER_02]: I've listed all of your personal addresses, emails, and phone numbers, because that's never gone badly for Brad. [SPEAKER_00]: And you're schedule. [SPEAKER_02]: Let's get into M- thirty two. [SPEAKER_02]: So before we get into the war of the beast, we need to set the stage really well for what was going on in the galaxy at this moment, because that's the most important element in my mind of the change that the war of the beast created. [SPEAKER_00]: Now I'm not even mad. [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm just disappointed in you. [SPEAKER_00]: You had a chance to do a Star Wars crawl across the screen. [SPEAKER_00]: It was a time of creating a star. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you could have set it up with anything. [SPEAKER_00]: You could have used the voice, could have came in, yet a chance you could have been a contender. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, instead, I pulled a Star Wars episode one just to support everybody. [SPEAKER_00]: That's wonderful. [SPEAKER_02]: It just hurt. [SPEAKER_02]: It's just gross. [SPEAKER_02]: It's no ender's game. [SPEAKER_00]: You know what? [SPEAKER_00]: Played you over this. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: So the important thing at M- thirty two is the galaxy's actually a fairly calm and pseudo tranquil place. [SPEAKER_02]: The Horace Heresy is over a thousand years ago at this point. [SPEAKER_02]: And the inquisition and the Imperium have had a lot of time to have kind of craft and mold the story of the Horace Heresy. [SPEAKER_02]: Moving it away from the truth, which was the primarx turning against the Emperor and embracing evil and chaos. [SPEAKER_02]: Instead, it's to all the citizens of the Imperium, because remember, they don't live this long. [SPEAKER_02]: It's a story of a selfish individuals that couldn't see the golden light of the Emperor and stood up and almost destroyed the Imperium, but the Emperor of mankind sacrificed himself to defend humanity. [SPEAKER_02]: And doing so, stop the overdueers and regain the Imperium on the footing. [SPEAKER_00]: They're setting is very, very important because no one has been punished for their actions in a while. [SPEAKER_00]: The people that are in charge right now are so distant. [SPEAKER_00]: You're like, hey, this could have ramifications. [SPEAKER_00]: You remember that war of thousand years ago? [SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't. [SPEAKER_00]: And I don't, and I don't sell anybody that does either. [SPEAKER_00]: But also, nothing's been seen. [SPEAKER_00]: These are all fairy tales almost at this point in time. [SPEAKER_00]: The big evil of chaos. [SPEAKER_00]: This is everything else. [SPEAKER_00]: No, we have the guiding light of the Emperor and worship what you want. [SPEAKER_00]: The people in charge that are horribly corrupt have not been punished in generations for bad behavior. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, there is no outside force that's threatening the Imperium at this point in time at all. [SPEAKER_00]: It hasn't been. [SPEAKER_02]: That's the really important piece here, is that chaos at this stage has been chased completely into the eye of terror. [SPEAKER_02]: Lehman Russ has gone in half of them, so has Corex Vulcans, who knows where everyone has gone this way. [SPEAKER_02]: Even the space marine leeches at this point believe they've defeated the traders for the most part, because it's been a thousand years since any of the traders were sighted in the galaxy. [SPEAKER_02]: At the same time, the Zeno situation is almost non-existent. [SPEAKER_02]: The elder are still really, I mean, you obviously have some elder interactions, some true car interaction, but nothing to scale. [SPEAKER_02]: Because the elder at this stage are still focusing on making infinity circuits, solstice. [SPEAKER_00]: Right, not to die. [SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, well, well, well, pull that back. [SPEAKER_00]: They're trying not to be a turdily-disfowered by this lavish. [SPEAKER_02]: And they're trying to slow down what is going to be the extinction of their race. [SPEAKER_02]: So for this reason, they held our actually looking to avoid conflict, you know, because they are immobile fleet. [SPEAKER_02]: They're the imperium bumps into an exidite world. [SPEAKER_02]: They can basically do whatever they want, because even if they're on a crone world, the BL-TAN aren't organized enough to go attack them for it yet. [SPEAKER_02]: That is coming later. [SPEAKER_02]: That was just what I'm saying. [SPEAKER_00]: They really, they have something to say about it, and they've actually very few years on this one. [SPEAKER_02]: No, no. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: They're coming, but that's my point. [SPEAKER_02]: At this point, even the jukari, Vect is just now taking control of Comer. [SPEAKER_02]: So the raids that have been, and so the Vect thing in Comer is important because before Vect unifies Comer, the jukari raids were mostly very small. [SPEAKER_02]: It's because you couldn't, no one had that much power, and they were always afraid of doing a raid coming back from the raid and getting counterattacked. [SPEAKER_02]: So, you're looking at very, very small raids where a couple thousand dead civilians, which in the scheme of the Imperium is nothing. [SPEAKER_02]: Nothing. [SPEAKER_02]: To the point of no is even aware of it. [SPEAKER_02]: You also have no tear in it. [SPEAKER_02]: You have no towel. [SPEAKER_02]: The necrons are still asleep. [SPEAKER_02]: The Votan are a little bit tricky and we'll have to wait until they're coming. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll also wait until they're coming. [SPEAKER_00]: The new colleagues comes out to see what they say about that. [SPEAKER_00]: They either were present or know a new about it. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because they're either were the squads or are not the squads, because if it's the squads, the squads were there. [SPEAKER_02]: But if it's not the squads and then they're not there, that's another problem for another day for us. [SPEAKER_00]: And this is a, so it also in the court, I guess the core worlds you do Star Wars again on it, you know, on the core worlds of the Imperium, where which is where the High Lords and the most powerful of the being people in charge are, [SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing happening. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, at all happening, you know, there's not even incursions of anything because there's still, because remember right now, the Marines, you know, you've got, we just did the Templar cast on this. [SPEAKER_00]: You've got active Marines reclaiming the galaxy and they're pushing back anything that could be considered a threat. [SPEAKER_00]: And they've kind of dealt with all [SPEAKER_00]: dealt with, that does not continue to this day, but they, everybody's felt like we're all practical purposes. [SPEAKER_00]: We're good. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because even the other Zenos are not really a threat. [SPEAKER_02]: You're going to hit them because you know, you're going to have issues. [SPEAKER_02]: Don't get me wrong with Zenos, but they're all tend to be centralized in a single world or a system. [SPEAKER_02]: And the most important Zenos, because obviously we're talking about the war, the beast is the Orcs. [SPEAKER_02]: And I want to get back into this. [SPEAKER_02]: So at the conclusion of the great crusade, it ended with Horace himself leading the space marines in battle at the planet of Olinore. [SPEAKER_02]: The Olinore crusade, which was came named later, was needed to stop this rampaging force led by a great orc named Erlach Erg. [SPEAKER_00]: A literary horn. [SPEAKER_02]: And it's best. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly, Ullinore, for just because this is all going to be very important later, is in the ultimate sector, which makes sense as the sector has always been a home to the works. [SPEAKER_02]: And the human settlers had colonized the planets of the Ullinore system, the orcs sensing them arrived, wrecked the settlement, and turned into their own. [SPEAKER_02]: But what was interesting on Ulanor is the Orcs also cannibalized the human technology there and created war equipment that humanity had never encountered fighting the Orcs before. [SPEAKER_02]: So when humanity showed up to fight the Orcs at Walinore, there was a huge problem for them. [SPEAKER_02]: They got rebuffed. [SPEAKER_02]: They'd never been rebuffed before. [SPEAKER_02]: Space Marines were good at fighting Orcs. [SPEAKER_02]: They bounced the first couple times they went after them. [SPEAKER_02]: And this is due to a couple things. [SPEAKER_02]: First off, is they were actually repurposing the weaponry and the technology of the human colony for themselves. [SPEAKER_00]: I think it meant to say, [SPEAKER_00]: The loot is loot is yes. [SPEAKER_02]: The loot is did some looting there. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, the best part about this is they took tech human tech and period tech and put they use their own surface-dair missiles giant guns, but they made them or key. [SPEAKER_00]: So they made them bigger and didn't always make bigger. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well, they didn't always work, but they definitely made them bigger and they just aimed up. [SPEAKER_02]: And this is important because the experience of the Imperium had had with Orcs, this point was hand-to-hand combat, dangerous, range combat, hilarious. [SPEAKER_02]: And that's how they just said, okay, we'll just sit at distance. [SPEAKER_02]: They bring fleets into the orbits and all the fleets blew up because they got hit with the rocket that was actually larger than the ship it was shot at. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, so heads no business getting out of the atmosphere, but they just think. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: The next big problem that the Imperium had was the incredible number of works on Olinore. [SPEAKER_02]: The Olinore work and infestation was massive. [SPEAKER_02]: They'd never seen numbers like this. [SPEAKER_02]: And because the end they were organized, which is the biggest problem. [SPEAKER_02]: Because this wasn't like a, not again, let's say, organized. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the Prussian infantry fighting the French at Marleto, but I'm talking like, actually, just for orcs organized, instead of just randomly running in different directions, they kind of were near each other. [SPEAKER_02]: Cunning. [SPEAKER_02]: No, they were cunning, but brutal. [SPEAKER_02]: And so the Orcs ended up requiring an ulnar. [SPEAKER_02]: The Emperor did not take this well and said, no, we're wrecking this. [SPEAKER_02]: And he told Horace, go. [SPEAKER_02]: And Horace went with his luna wolves. [SPEAKER_02]: And he went with all of his luna wolves, along with all chimereens and white scars. [SPEAKER_02]: This ended up becoming the kind of the pinnacle moment. [SPEAKER_02]: for Horace in becoming the warmaster. [SPEAKER_02]: And it ends with Horace himself fighting Erloc Oog, stabbed him, then carries him to the top of the tower he was fighting in and throws his broken body off the top of it. [SPEAKER_02]: He gave the Achilles out of that. [SPEAKER_00]: He kind of just gave the, is there no one else? [SPEAKER_00]: And the Orcs went, yes. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that was the biggest guy we're out. [SPEAKER_02]: That was kind of the biggest guy. [SPEAKER_02]: So it's sort of Erloc broke. [SPEAKER_02]: It appears to be there was a psychic connection running through the orcs. [SPEAKER_02]: And so without him, much like we, and we know this is true because we have gazz and one friend, the war of the beast. [SPEAKER_02]: As soon as the, if the big war boss who's kind of powering the wild dies, the wild filters, filters out pretty quickly, which is a rule. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm glad you, W, didn't give me on the tabletop because I lose my work, my warlord as an orc player. [SPEAKER_02]: I lose my warlord constantly. [SPEAKER_00]: It's actually, I forever remember all the time in the middle of nowhere. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: It's the same as like the sergeant in my space Marine squad. [SPEAKER_02]: I forget which one is which. [SPEAKER_02]: I genuinely don't know which war bosses my warlord half of them play in the game. [SPEAKER_02]: I told someone at someone says, hey, did your warlord die and I go, oh yeah, it turns out he did whatever works go forward. [SPEAKER_02]: That's the rule. [SPEAKER_02]: So ABC always be charging. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: That's pretty basic. [SPEAKER_02]: But the Emperor views this as proof that nothing could stand against his forces in the galaxy. [SPEAKER_02]: This orc incursion was the largest Xenofite they'd had. [SPEAKER_02]: This was bigger than raggedan. [SPEAKER_02]: So he then organizes, effectively, a celebration. [SPEAKER_02]: It's a special parade. [SPEAKER_02]: All the primarks are present. [SPEAKER_02]: He's there, malkador, val dorm, members of the Council of Terra, sisters of silence, everyone is at this big parade. [SPEAKER_02]: And they, of course, lined the parade with the skulls of all the orcs that they killed in it. [SPEAKER_02]: And it was at this parade that the emperor declared as Horace, the warmaster. [SPEAKER_02]: Now, [SPEAKER_02]: The reason we're telling you this quick back story is because A, woolen ore is going to be coming up again in a couple of casts pretty heavily. [SPEAKER_00]: These bigger though, because B, it's the mentality that this set for the Imperium that there is no Xenos threat that we cannot destroy. [SPEAKER_00]: And exactly, this was the biggest thing they've ever got and we handled it. [SPEAKER_00]: Anything else is going to be even easier. [SPEAKER_00]: They're not a threat. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the victory effectively proved the supremacy of humanity in the galaxy. [SPEAKER_02]: And the Imperium just was convinced there will be nothing greater. [SPEAKER_02]: Now, obviously the Horace Heresy throws some of this stuff for a loop. [SPEAKER_02]: But what ends up happening is in the period of time between Llanor and where we are now, it's about middle of M-thirty-two. [SPEAKER_02]: The Horace Heresy's not forgotten about, but it's kind of sideline. [SPEAKER_02]: where when you're talking to the citizens of the Imperium and you're presenting the Imperium to the citizenry, the Horace Herisys treated almost like a little side quest that happened. [SPEAKER_02]: We're going from the incredible success and power that we all had during the Great Crusade into now. [SPEAKER_02]: And I want to talk about what happens post-heresy, which is also important. [SPEAKER_02]: The Emperor isn't tuned in the Golden Throne, obviously, and the Imperium goes in a little bit of chaos. [SPEAKER_02]: Because by Emperor's decree, the Council of Terra had to be remade into the Lords of Terra. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and the original lords of terror was the head of the Imperial Navy, the head of the Imperial Guard, the newly founded Ad Mac, who are totally different and in no way related in any way to the dark we got. [SPEAKER_02]: I want a hundred percent. [SPEAKER_02]: No crossover. [SPEAKER_00]: Why are yelling about this? [SPEAKER_00]: If you haven't heard the cast that we did about this, they needed at the end of the heresy. [SPEAKER_00]: You still had about half of the ad back being, and if they weren't turned, they were at least fighting on the other side. [SPEAKER_00]: But we needed them to start producing more than they could. [SPEAKER_00]: And they went, so anybody that wants to put on the hat, this is pro-imperium right now, we're going to just look the other way and pretend you were on our side the whole time, but also hit these quotas because we need a lot more shit. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they effectively went to all of the dark mechanic and player and said, hey, congratulations on never being dark mechanic them. [SPEAKER_02]: And the guy going to go, because what do you mean I told you about shut up? [SPEAKER_02]: Other lords of terror are the heads of the R by head of the Inquisition, which got formed during the Horus Heresy, the head of the Chartist, which is, you know, the, that's the merchant fleet we talked about last time. [SPEAKER_02]: They had to administer them because you got to have an administrator head of the Astral Telepathica. [SPEAKER_02]: the head of the navigators and the master of the astronomical. [SPEAKER_02]: So that makes up the original lords of Terra. [SPEAKER_02]: This actually shifts quite a bit between then and modern Forty K because obviously the Ecclesiarchy comes into play, but also some of these people lose some power and gain some power. [SPEAKER_02]: But this group was horrifically under-prepared. [SPEAKER_00]: Horrifically under-prepared is mad that you use that to compare to the lords of Terra. [SPEAKER_00]: They were, what did they, they must have had a vote in the vote was, who's the crappiest person we could put in each of these posts? [SPEAKER_00]: And they also had no idea how to do any of the things they were doing. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you're going to get my plans. [SPEAKER_00]: Because I'm going to give them the emperor was in charge of half of these things and didn't tell anybody how they worked. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, hold on. [SPEAKER_02]: The emperor was in charge of half these things and Mount Goodore was in charge of the other half. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's the whole thing. [SPEAKER_02]: These guys were literally there to stand there and not say a bad word about Mount Goodore the emperor. [SPEAKER_02]: And that will [SPEAKER_02]: Malkador's dead, the emperor is not speaking. [SPEAKER_02]: They then get saved because Gilliman shows up, takes a look around it, all of them and says, yeah, nope, and makes himself in charge. [SPEAKER_02]: Like just nope, but then in at one twenty one of M thirty one, Gilliman gets himself stad by full-groom. [SPEAKER_02]: So then he's out. [SPEAKER_02]: The plus side, and we all know I love Gilliman, so deal with it, is that Gilliman, in the period of time that he ruled the Imperium, put it on the right foot. [SPEAKER_02]: And not only just as a leader, he knows logistics. [SPEAKER_02]: Gilliman set everything up basically so the Imperium could reclaim itself, and it was doing that. [SPEAKER_02]: So even though he's in a coma, you know, the lion is stuck under a rock. [SPEAKER_02]: All the other Vulcan is TBD, [SPEAKER_02]: This, the Dorn, we have his hand. [SPEAKER_00]: Or he's, oh, maybe. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we'll let you be without all the other primate. [SPEAKER_02]: All the primarks are gone. [SPEAKER_02]: A lot of space Marines have actually retreated themselves into their own little life, is waiting for chaos to show up so they can punch them. [SPEAKER_02]: But it doesn't matter because Gillam and did such a good job that trade routes are being are still being established. [SPEAKER_02]: Not even after he gets stabbed. [SPEAKER_02]: It still continues because the Imperium had invested really heavily in infrastructure while he was there and it's paying off massively. [SPEAKER_02]: But this then of course creates a problem because this creates insistence success. [SPEAKER_02]: And that creates confidence in idiots. [SPEAKER_02]: You mean, and the fact of the Lord's, what are the lords of terror, Brad? [SPEAKER_02]: Morons. [SPEAKER_00]: They're basically had a squad of job freeze from Game of Thrones and charge. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, job freeze was more evil. [SPEAKER_02]: And these guys, these guys were saying competent. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they were both. [SPEAKER_02]: That's the thing. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, that's, well, some of them are and we'll get to them in a bit. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so the lords of [SPEAKER_02]: Brad, no, like the lords of terror. [SPEAKER_02]: This was by the way, everybody. [SPEAKER_02]: This is the only way you get Brad, do a lords of terror cast. [SPEAKER_02]: I could not get him to do a real one. [SPEAKER_02]: So we had to do it this way. [SPEAKER_00]: He said no. [SPEAKER_00]: He just said, I lie nine. [SPEAKER_00]: I was like, don't this. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was like, okay, so the only way we're getting lords of terror in Brad is if we do it as part of a story or the lords of terror keep getting stabbed. [SPEAKER_00]: You know what? [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to talk about how much I hate them right now because I want to set this on because of the fact that there was so much success and there was so there was almost no external threats what happened was the lures of terror just started back stabbing each other [SPEAKER_00]: Putting things wildly at risk, because anytime one of their rivals would need help, they would try to make sure that they didn't get that help to undermine that person so they could get more personal power. [SPEAKER_00]: And they haven't had anything bad happen to them by doing this in the last few hundred years. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's actually worse than that. [SPEAKER_02]: Not only is that bad happen to them, it keeps working because they're having these like shadow wars with each other behind the scenes. [SPEAKER_02]: And every day, the Imperium just does better and better and better. [SPEAKER_02]: And we say better, I don't mean like, oh, well, there was more money going in. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the lives of the average Imperial citizen had been improving almost [SPEAKER_02]: daily for a thousand years. [SPEAKER_02]: And so they're just going, they're all said they're going, we are the greatest leaders ever, but I'm still better than Ted. [SPEAKER_02]: So we should go undermine Ted. [SPEAKER_02]: And just this was all set up for failure. [SPEAKER_02]: And then eventually we get something. [SPEAKER_02]: First off, we get what are called the Crooms. [SPEAKER_02]: And the Imperium does a cool such a late name, by the way. [SPEAKER_02]: What? [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, we're going to lie or they call this the Crooms, John. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, because they've got a shiny X. [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, so the cool thing about the Imperium is when it comes to Zeno's, the Imperium catalog everything. [SPEAKER_02]: So every Zeno they encounter, they mark down what they are, where they are, how hostile they are, how to kill them and that kind of stuff. [SPEAKER_02]: One species [SPEAKER_00]: I really think it's actually worth saying in this, when we say they put down, this isn't like a couple of checklists. [SPEAKER_00]: This is a home on each race. [SPEAKER_00]: Every specific they do, the inquisition is crazy. [SPEAKER_00]: They're mainly in charge of this now. [SPEAKER_00]: They will go through and list everything about their lives, how to kill them. [SPEAKER_00]: But they go way in depth in this. [SPEAKER_00]: We have deep, deep dives and they send people to find this. [SPEAKER_00]: It makes a difference because they actually try to, they want to kill them, of course. [SPEAKER_00]: But they do a lot of capture and try to find out more about the race to find out everything that they can to kill them and do extreme. [SPEAKER_00]: We're real big on genocide. [SPEAKER_02]: But only to a point is that we're big on genocide, but we're not big on wasting resources. [SPEAKER_02]: So the crumbs are an important one. [SPEAKER_02]: The details of the crumbs is as I said, they're in insectoid with an exoskeleton and sharp claws not to be confused with the mega-racknids of the Horus heresy. [SPEAKER_02]: And by not being confused by, I mean, they're identical. [SPEAKER_02]: In fact, we can kind of do a drinking game if you guys want. [SPEAKER_02]: Every time you read a novel written by GW, and there's a Zeno in it, and the Zeno is an insect with pointy claws, drink. [SPEAKER_02]: It's going to come up a lot. [SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of their go-to. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's talk about what they're listed as when you're, when you're slay, you're putting all the Zenos in particular categories. [SPEAKER_00]: The Crooms are listed as non-Hastel Zeno's race. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, which means the GW, which means the Imperium was actually going to leave them alone. [SPEAKER_02]: As long as the Imperium didn't land on their invade their world, the Crooms would leave them alone. [SPEAKER_02]: Unless they decided the world the Crooms was on, was of significant value to make up for the resource investment in fighting them. [SPEAKER_02]: They just leave him somewhere, because who cares? [SPEAKER_02]: They're not a threat. [SPEAKER_02]: This isn't like the ragdand or something like that one's who actually expands throughout the galaxy. [SPEAKER_02]: It's like, it's a galaxy of planets. [SPEAKER_02]: There's going to be zenos there. [SPEAKER_02]: Suddenly out of nowhere, though, the cromes begin what appears to be a crusade on the left side of the ultimate segmentum, right on the edge of the segmentum solar. [SPEAKER_02]: billions of crumbs begin descending on imperial worlds there. [SPEAKER_02]: So the imperium says nope. [SPEAKER_02]: And they deploy the imperial fists out there because the imperial fist remember at this stage are effectively the space marine chapter that's protecting the segmentum solar. [SPEAKER_02]: Everyone else is spread around the fists. [SPEAKER_02]: We're also we're much [SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna follow the fights of the fish, they must be just their gene seed must be like take eleven seconds because during this time, they keep losing huge amounts of people and they have so many more. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, they run out of a certain point. [SPEAKER_02]: It's important number two of the fists are also sent now because the death watch don't exist yet, yet because this conflict we're gonna be getting into is where the death watch comes from. [SPEAKER_02]: The Imperial Fists arrive and they study the movements of the Crooms and they decide to intercept them on a planet named Adam Antua. [SPEAKER_02]: And it's right on the edge of segmentum solar. [SPEAKER_02]: This planet is a six week warp travel from Terra itself. [SPEAKER_02]: The Fists decide this is it. [SPEAKER_02]: We're going there and we're going to blast them. [SPEAKER_02]: This should have been a nothing battle for them. [SPEAKER_02]: The fists should have been able to arrive and just demolish the crumbs. [SPEAKER_02]: Because the crumbs had been encountered before, and each time the imperial forces dealt with them, they had no issue defeating them. [SPEAKER_02]: But this time was different. [SPEAKER_02]: The imperial fist land and they find themselves immediately overwhelmed by the crumbs. [SPEAKER_02]: During this, they realize why though. [SPEAKER_02]: The crumbs aren't conquering new land. [SPEAKER_02]: This is not a crusade. [SPEAKER_02]: Their entire species is moving from one side of the galaxy to another. [SPEAKER_02]: They're fleeing, and they are in between the flea. [SPEAKER_02]: This catches them so far by surprise that actually the imperial fist, the first imperial fist who go there, die. [SPEAKER_02]: Their chapter master, Cassas Mirin, gets killed by the crumbs. [SPEAKER_02]: And he sends a message back to Tara saying, we need reinforcements. [SPEAKER_02]: This is a much bigger battle than we would have thought. [SPEAKER_02]: And help. [SPEAKER_00]: Also in the past, again, we categorize them. [SPEAKER_00]: Anytime they've taken any damage or anything, they just leave. [SPEAKER_00]: Instead they're continuing running basically right past them. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: So what happens now is the call goes back and I'm going to kind of foreshadow a little bit. [SPEAKER_02]: The only people that are sent back to fight this are imperial fists and a small contingent of guard. [SPEAKER_02]: They don't send a large force. [SPEAKER_02]: The imperialists do get there though, and they're imperialists. [SPEAKER_02]: They've got this. [SPEAKER_02]: And they arrive. [SPEAKER_02]: And what happens though is as soon as they land on the planet, the planet starts to fall apart around them. [SPEAKER_02]: You get volcanic eruptions. [SPEAKER_02]: The continents themselves start cracking. [SPEAKER_02]: the oceans are getting thousand foot waves, whatever you want to call it. [SPEAKER_02]: And the crones enter this even greater fury. [SPEAKER_02]: They're just hurling themselves at the defensive lines of the Imperium, but not even trying to kill at this point. [SPEAKER_02]: Just trying to get over them to the other side so they can flee and get out of will be right back after a quick break. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's talk about why this planet is going to shit. [SPEAKER_00]: It is tightly wrecked, volcanic action is happening. [SPEAKER_00]: You're like, what would cause that? [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, maybe if like a moon just showed up outside. [SPEAKER_02]: And this is exactly what happens, right above orbit. [SPEAKER_02]: And by orbit, I don't mean like circling outside. [SPEAKER_02]: We have title breaking, keeping it in a nice, normal orbit. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm talking [SPEAKER_02]: partially in the atmosphere, a giant moon made of metal appears with guns. [SPEAKER_02]: Don't forget the guns with lots of go many guns. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's an and it's an orc death star in appearance and we'll do. [SPEAKER_02]: You know, let's do this now. [SPEAKER_02]: An orc attack moon is not really, it's just, it's a shape of a moon. [SPEAKER_02]: What it really is is a planet that's been poured out and then covered in metal and then the exterior is covered with equipment, armor, guns, void shields, everything. [SPEAKER_02]: And when we say hollowed out, the weird part about it is that it's not actually, well, it is hollow. [SPEAKER_02]: But the inside is a subspace tunnel to somewhere else that allows you to have like a web way or warp gate. [SPEAKER_02]: So you can, if you wherever, if orcs are on one side, you can just keep shoveling them through the tunnel to come out the other side. [SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes you got in vain. [SPEAKER_00]: Orcs versus humans. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: And so that's exactly what happened. [SPEAKER_02]: So while the imperial fists are fighting the crumbs and by fighting them, they're just shooting the crumbs that crumbs try to run past them. [SPEAKER_02]: All of the orgs start pouring out of this attack moon onto the planet. [SPEAKER_02]: And within literally a couple hours. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, all the problems. [SPEAKER_00]: No, the description of it's great because what said is a seemingly endless tide of orgs continue to pour out of this. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, all over the world. [SPEAKER_00]: Even though this is a boot, the boot is apparently a clown car because they don't know that a gate is getting sending us. [SPEAKER_00]: So this is a clown car. [SPEAKER_00]: Just a car shows up and seven thousand people get out. [SPEAKER_00]: You're like, that's not a real thing. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, what it occurs now is all the imperial forces are killed. [SPEAKER_02]: And I say, I look very forcely, all the guard. [SPEAKER_02]: all the ships in orbit, but more importantly, every single imperial fist, and this was for the record, every single imperial fist in the galaxy was on this planet. [SPEAKER_02]: They were all killed. [SPEAKER_02]: The imperial fist are now according to the As far as the imperial nose in extinct chapter. [SPEAKER_02]: So, not a great moment for the Imperium. [SPEAKER_02]: The other problem with the Orcs is that there's not just one moon. [SPEAKER_02]: Because for the Orcs, when things work once, that means they kind of work forever because the Orcs then believe in it, so you get more of them. [SPEAKER_02]: Suddenly, all across on the edge of segment and solar and out into the ultimate segment, more of these moons start to appear. [SPEAKER_00]: They're also wrecking the warp. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's what I think too. [SPEAKER_02]: You have incredible amounts of death, which always makes the work a little bit tumultuous, but more importantly, the orcs are a psychic race, in their own very weird way. [SPEAKER_02]: This many orcs moving across the galaxy, even though it's like a sub-galaxy travel, it's not really clear how this works. [SPEAKER_02]: It still disrupts the work. [SPEAKER_02]: It causes when a moon appears in a planet to have very fun effects. [SPEAKER_02]: One, the planet is the fall apart because of gravity. [SPEAKER_02]: Two, the psychic backlash of all this up going on actually fries the minds of astronauts and psychers. [SPEAKER_02]: And as we talked out with blanks before, if you have blanks, people around blanks are uncomfortable. [SPEAKER_02]: If you have enough psychic disruption, it actually affects the minds of people who aren't psychically gifted. [SPEAKER_02]: So even the regular humans, the human colonies all over the place just start falling apart. [SPEAKER_02]: People are trying to flee because, hey, there's a massive orcs above us. [SPEAKER_02]: Let's try to get out of here. [SPEAKER_02]: Trillions of people basically are trying to force themselves into any and every spaceship. [SPEAKER_02]: Our bites and planetary governors can't do anything to stop this because A, there's too many people in B, they themselves are also trying to flee. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's talk about the idiots. [SPEAKER_00]: Come on. [SPEAKER_02]: of the coming, this is the fun one. [SPEAKER_02]: You go. [SPEAKER_00]: Guys are barons. [SPEAKER_00]: So all of these things, these shits fall into power. [SPEAKER_00]: People are trying to flee, which is a perfect reaction. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's not a perfect reaction. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, this scary thing, showing up. [SPEAKER_00]: That's just dried stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, maybe they're all powerful new deity. [SPEAKER_00]: We should worship them. [SPEAKER_00]: And that worked out super well for them. [SPEAKER_02]: It didn't go great. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, out of nowhere a bunch of like we have chaos cults later or cults pop up or people begin worshiping the orcs fun story when the orcs showed up. [SPEAKER_02]: They still hit him with a stick. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know what to say college them. [SPEAKER_00]: They're just like [SPEAKER_00]: Like, you just assume it works just like mad that you're not fighting. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: It's like just so you're not running away. [SPEAKER_02]: Why are you bowing to me? [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: I guess I'll just cut your head off and then move on with my day. [SPEAKER_02]: So the planetary defense force has also can't do anything to these invasions. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we're talking [SPEAKER_02]: A planetary defense force might might be in the thousands. [SPEAKER_02]: Might be more realistically. [SPEAKER_02]: It's in the hundreds to maybe a thousand and here come a billion orcs didn't go well. [SPEAKER_02]: You know what else didn't go well? [SPEAKER_00]: Lords of Terras, idiot response. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Getting on my box again. [SPEAKER_00]: So all of this is happening and they start trying to figure out what they're supposed to do about this. [SPEAKER_00]: And none of the lords of terror want to lose any of their power and standing. [SPEAKER_00]: Also, any of the lords of terror that are have most of their base of operations close to this. [SPEAKER_00]: The other lords of terror just kind of want to wait a little bit and see if they can lose more power before they do anything. [SPEAKER_00]: And they just start bickering. [SPEAKER_00]: And they have no understanding of an incursion of this size. [SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think they believed it. [SPEAKER_00]: I think they just went [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, whatever. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a lot of random Zenos, but it's still just not a big deal. [SPEAKER_02]: These are administrators because again, there's no primarx, no malkador, no emperor. [SPEAKER_02]: And there are the custodians. [SPEAKER_02]: The irony is the custodians probably could have solved all this if they just popped out of the palace and wait, what's going on? [SPEAKER_00]: The custodians did not talk to anybody except for the emperor at this point in time. [SPEAKER_02]: Truthfully, the custodes could have popped out and been like, oh yeah, yeah, do this, this and this, you guys are good and they left. [SPEAKER_02]: But they did. [SPEAKER_00]: This also could have just been a big battle and been done with at this time. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: So let's talk more about the lords of terror at this time at Howard was. [SPEAKER_02]: So the lords of terror were split into almost a pseudo anarchistic three, three way for power. [SPEAKER_02]: One group, which is kind of like the worst of it, is that the Lord High Admiral of the Navy whose name is Lanson. [SPEAKER_02]: He is aligned, yeah, he is aligned with the master of the administrative at Carth. [SPEAKER_02]: What's interesting is that he's also aligned with the Lord Commander of the Imperiums, the person who oversees both the Navy and the guard, and that his name is Udo. [SPEAKER_02]: Udo is older, and so Lansung was setting himself up to take over for Udo. [SPEAKER_02]: and we'll get more than a second. [SPEAKER_02]: On the other side, you have the Lord Commander militant of the Imperial Guard Hef, who unfortunately went to Ardementa to help fight the Orcs, so actually, Hef is dead. [SPEAKER_02]: This new person who came in says a brand new person named Abel Veralt, who has just effectively been promoted up, and he's on day one of being head of the Imperial Guard. [SPEAKER_02]: He's also awful. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so they don't get along. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're also, but they are allied with the Incosition also. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, no, but they're not with it. [SPEAKER_02]: Those two. [SPEAKER_02]: So that's the problem is that you've got this group of like the Imperial Guard, and this is where like the R by a couple of the randoms that heads the Naviers, they're all in this other group. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not necessarily opposed to land sung, but they'll always get along with them. [SPEAKER_02]: The actual opposition comes from two very random places. [SPEAKER_02]: First is Van Gourge, who is going to come up a lot in all of this. [SPEAKER_00]: He's the grandmaster of the assassins. [SPEAKER_02]: Yep, then you also have Kubik, who's the fabricator general of the Mechanicus, who kind of just disappears, and then you have Weenant, who's the inquisitive ahead of the inquisition, and Weenant bounces around a little bit. [SPEAKER_02]: These are all kind of independence, because all of them are opposed to Lansung, but they're not necessarily aligned with each other. [SPEAKER_02]: That's why I say them this way. [SPEAKER_02]: They're all, they all realize Lansung and his group are bad, but up until this point, they never really were [SPEAKER_00]: Well, it should have been holding back forces and styming the response to this. [SPEAKER_00]: So he sucks so much. [SPEAKER_00]: He's like, let's go into. [SPEAKER_00]: Just like family sized, fifty percent more family-sized suck. [SPEAKER_00]: He sucks. [SPEAKER_02]: So let's go into Lansing. [SPEAKER_02]: Guy's Brad is really, this is really fun. [SPEAKER_02]: This guy's awful. [SPEAKER_02]: That's, it's so great. [SPEAKER_02]: He's not a real person, Brad. [SPEAKER_02]: This is a me. [SPEAKER_01]: Don't fear. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, Lensung is the head of the Imperial Navy, and it's before he expected himself to become the next Lord Commander of the Imperial. [SPEAKER_02]: Lensung assumed the workmenus they were facing was something that could be easily handled, but not easily handled without casualties and cost. [SPEAKER_02]: And so Land Sun's concern was that for his own personal recognition in this war, if he lost a large chunk of his fleet, it wouldn't reflect well on him. [SPEAKER_02]: And so time and time again, he does everything he can to protect and preserve his fleet. [SPEAKER_02]: In fact, when the call came to reinforce and supply our de Monta, Lansing was the one who told the fists to, hey, you guys go, you take your whole fleet over there. [SPEAKER_02]: Telling them, you guys are more than large with the handle this, and if you need me, I'll show up, but I don't think you need me, and it'll create confusion, so just go ahead and do it yourself. [SPEAKER_02]: Truthfully, had he gone with the fists, his fleet could have wrecked this moon. [SPEAKER_02]: And they were, because it would have been, it would have been just as it was appearing in orbit, they could have easily blown it up. [SPEAKER_02]: But instead, every imperial fist dies. [SPEAKER_02]: And by the way, flensing is just beginning to do horrible things. [SPEAKER_02]: Because the truth is, what Lansing was real gold to what Brian was discussing earlier, was to you serve the power of the other ones. [SPEAKER_02]: Their number one concern at this point was not the invasion of the orcs, but it's who they could control. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's going to be control. [SPEAKER_00]: And they also, who the other lawyers of Terry, he wanted to weaken by this force. [SPEAKER_00]: Hey, can I weaken the money? [SPEAKER_00]: adversaries by making them take the brunt of. [SPEAKER_00]: We're obviously going to win. [SPEAKER_00]: So how can I weaken my enemies by sending them out? [SPEAKER_00]: This guy sucked. [SPEAKER_02]: And he's got two big groups that he's afraid of. [SPEAKER_02]: First is the assassins. [SPEAKER_02]: And the second is the inquisition. [SPEAKER_02]: And the assassins you're afraid of because they could just murder you. [SPEAKER_02]: So spoiler alert, they might do that later. [SPEAKER_00]: Both of them operate outside of control of the normal, basically the things that he, the normal flow of anything, both of them are outside of this. [SPEAKER_00]: And well, it's a funny note on this is it is not later on. [SPEAKER_00]: At this time, the popular opinion of the inquisition is [SPEAKER_00]: They're here to stamp out the foes of humanity and keep everything great. [SPEAKER_00]: And they're good peeps. [SPEAKER_02]: And that's a really important thing here. [SPEAKER_02]: Cause I'm thirty-two of the inquisition are a force of good in the imperium. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not by propaganda. [SPEAKER_02]: They actually are. [SPEAKER_02]: And so Lansung is afraid of vanguardic the head of the assassins killing him. [SPEAKER_02]: But he's more afraid of the inquisition because in the quest for power, the inquisition is more popular than the Imperial Navy. [SPEAKER_02]: So he needs the figure out a way to deal with them. [SPEAKER_02]: Fun part about that is the head of the inquisition, Weenand, she hates him because she recognizes that Lansung is an idiot. [SPEAKER_02]: And she's super critical. [SPEAKER_00]: And he's an actual threat to the continuing [SPEAKER_00]: prosperity of the Imperium, because this guy could wreck everything by his sheer exponentially increasing incompetence. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because she realized very quickly that Lansung was totally fine with the Imperium burning, so long as he ended up ahead at the end. [SPEAKER_02]: The other one is, of course, Van Gourge. [SPEAKER_02]: And Van Gourge equally thinks Lansing is a nightmare. [SPEAKER_02]: But the fun part about Van Gourge is because he's the head of the assassins. [SPEAKER_02]: He's got his own little side thing that he's always working at all times. [SPEAKER_02]: So the reason I describe them that way is because Van Gourge and Weenond both hate Lansing and everyone with him, but they don't align. [SPEAKER_02]: They don't even talk to each other. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, they just both have their both waging their own shadow campaigns against him. [SPEAKER_02]: Now, then Goritch is the first one here to begin to act after the fall of Ardimenta. [SPEAKER_02]: So he uses his intense collection of spies and assassins to start manipulating the lords of terror behind the scenes. [SPEAKER_02]: Then Goritch then gets involved and he begins taking a leading role because at this stage, then Goritch is a really adamant supporter of the Imperium. [SPEAKER_02]: He believes in the Imperium and he wants the Imperium to succeed. [SPEAKER_02]: So with all that established, let's get back to the chronology of the War of the Beast. [SPEAKER_02]: After conquering Ardimenta, the Orcs actually leave it. [SPEAKER_02]: They move, they move off into soul segmentum. [SPEAKER_02]: The world is now abandoned. [SPEAKER_02]: In AdMec, whenever this happens, whenever anything happens, actually, the AdMec send the exploratory fleet to study the planet. [SPEAKER_02]: That's their number one system. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, we won or we lost. [SPEAKER_02]: But more importantly, there was something there we hadn't seen before. [SPEAKER_02]: Go call it. [SPEAKER_00]: What is it? [SPEAKER_00]: It was detect that we want. [SPEAKER_02]: Yep. [SPEAKER_02]: So the ad Mac one to understand how the orgs were functioning so differently from regular orgs and also spoiler alert to the head. [SPEAKER_02]: They kind of want to know how you can transport a planet around the galaxy. [SPEAKER_02]: They hadn't figured that one out yet. [SPEAKER_00]: With the gate inside of it. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes. [SPEAKER_02]: So when they get there, they find this planet completely wrecked. [SPEAKER_02]: The topography is totally chained. [SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't match any of their data. [SPEAKER_02]: And they're seeing power levels of work, weaponry, never before seen. [SPEAKER_02]: Because again, the Orcs believe their guns are more powerful. [SPEAKER_02]: They are more power. [SPEAKER_00]: Because you just need enough words to believe all of this. [SPEAKER_02]: They also discovered, concerningly, the ad-neck, this massive amount of psychic emanations all over the place. [SPEAKER_02]: The Orcs had left almost a wake of psychic energy behind them. [SPEAKER_00]: It actually describes that. [SPEAKER_00]: It's described as a psychic wake, and because it pulls other orcs forward with it, you know where you're going with this wag, but it also [SPEAKER_00]: caused physical, it's not even just harm, it was semi-harm, but like, especially if you're a psycho, you could actually be hurt, you know, because of this. [SPEAKER_02]: Being around, right. [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_02]: Now, they also discovered, under some rubble, three imperial fist space marines that had been placed in, you know, memory talked about the stasis thing, although fists don't have that, but that they were placed in stasis. [SPEAKER_02]: They don't have the weird pooped up. [SPEAKER_02]: External thing. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: the the admec then try to revive them and the first two die in the process and the admec tech priest goes well, you know what third times the charm guys watch this and revives the imperial. [SPEAKER_02]: Who's the second? [SPEAKER_02]: What's the second? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I can't remember his name from secret level. [SPEAKER_00]: It still lives. [SPEAKER_02]: Second Captain Corland, as who this is, is saved, making him the only imperial fist in the entire galaxy. [SPEAKER_00]: This is my favorite. [SPEAKER_00]: Corridor pops up and immediately just declares to whoever the hell's around, now the due chapter master of the imperial fist, due your by yourself, you're the chapter master of Corland. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's also the lead cook, the lead janitor. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's the lead munitions expert. [SPEAKER_02]: Like he is, you are in congratulations, man. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: He heard a lot of hats. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the imperial fists are currently not plural anymore. [SPEAKER_02]: You are the imperial fist of the galaxy. [SPEAKER_02]: Nice. [SPEAKER_02]: He then decides, because he can to invoke the last wall protocol. [SPEAKER_02]: Now, the last wall protocol, we cover this on the the fists. [SPEAKER_02]: as a secret code that Dorn created, when he broke the fists up into the part of the code ex-ostarties. [SPEAKER_02]: Under the last ball protocol, should Terra come under threat, which it was now. [SPEAKER_02]: All the successor chapters and imperial fists and the imperial fists themselves are in this case of the imperial fist. [SPEAKER_02]: have to meet on the planet called Fall. [SPEAKER_02]: And pH ALL. [SPEAKER_02]: Fall is early part of Horace Heresy. [SPEAKER_02]: It's where Dorn and Petta are fought and Dorn actually took the day and forced Petta robber to retreat. [SPEAKER_00]: Is this the bat signal or is he lighting the fires of God, Dorn? [SPEAKER_02]: I think it's the bad signal because the fires have gone to or take you a different place. [SPEAKER_02]: This is more the bad signal. [SPEAKER_02]: Hey, everyone show up. [SPEAKER_02]: Cornland, I know how he gets there by the way. [SPEAKER_02]: He's just. [SPEAKER_02]: He just is. [SPEAKER_00]: He just, he's, he's by himself. [SPEAKER_00]: He should know anything about anything. [SPEAKER_00]: He, this is, they kind of stretch this and win whatever, because he just pops up and he just knows about the shit that he didn't know before he got killed. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you're like how he was a second captain. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he was a second. [SPEAKER_00]: This stuff exists. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: He just pops up and goes, I got a good idea guys. [SPEAKER_00]: I know everything now. [SPEAKER_00]: You're like, do you matrix this? [SPEAKER_00]: What just happened? [SPEAKER_02]: The cool thing is he does go to fall and wants there a bunch of successors show up. [SPEAKER_02]: The black Templars, the crimson fists, the fists exemplar, and the excoriators of note the sole drinkers could not be found. [SPEAKER_02]: No one knew where they were. [SPEAKER_02]: And they all line and they just decide they take the codec to start is and they light it on fire and throw the trash can and they begin heading back towards terror. [SPEAKER_02]: which is good timing because terrorists getting really close to a serious problem. [SPEAKER_02]: But first, we have pork scent. [SPEAKER_02]: That's where you wanted your cruise ship to show up to. [SPEAKER_02]: Remember last week when we talked about the Martian fleets, just having just showing up somewhere, this is one of those types of scenarios. [SPEAKER_02]: Also, the art of menta, where you just show up, and it's like, oh, hey, guys, just translate it back out of the warp. [SPEAKER_02]: What's going on? [SPEAKER_02]: Oh. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, well, is anyone going to sign for this? [SPEAKER_02]: Because I need someone to sign for it. [SPEAKER_02]: So the orc manus is proceeding through the galaxy and the imperial forces keep kind of searching for ahead of the snake to cut off. [SPEAKER_02]: They decide finally that this attack moon appears in the sanctus system. [SPEAKER_02]: And this is where imperial forces, they kind of think this is the main attack moon. [SPEAKER_02]: So if we go and hit this one, [SPEAKER_02]: We can end this once in a hurry. [SPEAKER_00]: I have to, I have to psych up John. [SPEAKER_00]: I got to get my cheat together because there again is one man who sucks so much to bring about the downfall of multiple people. [SPEAKER_00]: And who is this? [SPEAKER_00]: Lansing. [SPEAKER_02]: So, as the invasion begins on sanctus, and it is absolutely gigantic. [SPEAKER_02]: There happened to be some black Templars and a couple of successor chapters nearby who began engaging, and they put the call back to Terra, because the fighting is terrible. [SPEAKER_02]: There's so many works. [SPEAKER_02]: Lansing, though, refuses. [SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't just refuse. [SPEAKER_00]: He sees that there's a giant space battle going on. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe the guy that has the imperial navy, you know, the space fleet could help with the space battle. [SPEAKER_00]: You're seeing what I'm saying here. [SPEAKER_00]: I feel like these things are going together. [SPEAKER_00]: So what he decides to put the car in reverse and go home. [SPEAKER_02]: What he does is he moves all his is entirely to a place called the Clause King Gulf, which is just actually outside of segmentum solar by the way. [SPEAKER_02]: And because what he wants to do is attack the orcs from the rear while someone else comes in from the front. [SPEAKER_02]: He wants someone else to take all the injuries and then he's going to come through and take the glory and the easy battle. [SPEAKER_02]: of fun note, some of his ships were in sanctus fighting with the Black Templars. [SPEAKER_02]: This is in the books. [SPEAKER_02]: They just notify the Black Templars. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, hey, best of luck, guys. [SPEAKER_02]: We got to go. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: And the Black Templars were literally fighting orcs now where you, that was some of their rides also, by the way. [SPEAKER_00]: Not even that you're bailing on me in the middle of the fight, but also you should call somebody if you want to go somewhere else because we're taking off now. [SPEAKER_02]: They just leave. [SPEAKER_02]: And the black Templars are left to fight in an orc incursion, basically solo with some guardsmen. [SPEAKER_02]: The rest of the Lord's Attara, by the way, are not much better, because everyone agrees the Orcs had to be stopped, and everyone also agreed it was someone else's job to do the stopping. [SPEAKER_02]: At this point, Van Goritch and Weenond take their own paths. [SPEAKER_02]: Let's put it that way. [SPEAKER_02]: To achieve this angle, Van Goritch goes first. [SPEAKER_02]: His idea is I'm going to unite the lords of terror against this. [SPEAKER_02]: And so his thought is, we've got there isn't a ecclesiarchy at this point. [SPEAKER_02]: It's different than the later ecclesi... This is the one that actually does worship the emperor, but not with all the psycho stuff we get later. [SPEAKER_02]: So he then gorged shape shifts into a priest of the ecclesiologist. [SPEAKER_00]: His plan is so convoluted. [SPEAKER_00]: Scooby-do style just like, hey man, you could have been about this and not having flight. [SPEAKER_00]: Why is your plan so complicated? [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to make it really simple here. [SPEAKER_02]: He pretends to be a priest. [SPEAKER_02]: He sneaks in to Mess Ring, who's the head of the Ecclesiarchy, and he poisons him. [SPEAKER_02]: And as Mess Ring is lying there in pain, then Gors tells him, you're going to die in the next three days if you don't get an antidote. [SPEAKER_02]: I have the antidote. [SPEAKER_02]: All you have to do is clear a holy war against these orcs. [SPEAKER_02]: So, of course, Messereng goes, yeah, right? [SPEAKER_02]: They probably could have just done it so much different ways, but he gets it done, because then Gorg knew that declaring a war of faith against the orcs would unify humanity against them. [SPEAKER_02]: And with that, with all of humanity aligned in one thing, all the bickering the Lord's of terror would stop. [SPEAKER_00]: By the way, he [SPEAKER_00]: I've been doing a lot of air quotes, even though no one could see me. [SPEAKER_00]: He knew that this was going to be the case. [SPEAKER_00]: Hey, sorry about the spoiler alert, but it didn't work out this way at all. [SPEAKER_00]: Wait a minute. [SPEAKER_02]: It did nothing. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, just did absolutely nothing. [SPEAKER_02]: It was declared and everyone just began shouting louder. [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, someone should do something. [SPEAKER_00]: Clearly, those guys are doing something. [SPEAKER_00]: So now I can do even less. [SPEAKER_02]: I also want to take a quick detour on Vengorik at this point because he also does something else. [SPEAKER_02]: Vengorik was a master planner and you surfer. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Malki ordered a good job of putting him in charge. [SPEAKER_02]: Vengorik is always scheming, not just now, but also for the future. [SPEAKER_02]: And what he knew was that he was going to have this was going to be a long protracted fight for him. [SPEAKER_02]: Then Gouric was originally a Venom assassin. [SPEAKER_02]: The Venom or Venom assassins are the Poison assassin. [SPEAKER_02]: I know, weird. [SPEAKER_02]: As the head of the Venom assassins, he had, obviously, access to everybody. [SPEAKER_02]: And there was a special Venenum, sorry, sorry about the Venenom assassin named E-Sad Wire. [SPEAKER_02]: And E-Sad was not only amazing at Poison, but also in combat. [SPEAKER_00]: This is making a... [SPEAKER_00]: Super assassin. [SPEAKER_02]: It does. [SPEAKER_02]: It makes him a super assassin. [SPEAKER_00]: Some of the writing here, guys. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was this is this is a little bit. [SPEAKER_02]: Let me. [SPEAKER_02]: He was he was cool. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, this this guy's badass. [SPEAKER_02]: He's like, yeah, that's my point. [SPEAKER_00]: Ninja James Bond. [SPEAKER_00]: He sneaks everywhere. [SPEAKER_00]: By the way, he keeps just walking through the front door. [SPEAKER_02]: Like, that's why I have no idea. [SPEAKER_02]: I have no idea who his name. [SPEAKER_02]: One is Tom Cruise's character in Mission Impossible. [SPEAKER_02]: Actually, Ethan Hunt. [SPEAKER_02]: I've seen the move. [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_02]: There he is. [SPEAKER_02]: So he's Ethan Hunt. [SPEAKER_02]: That's the man. [SPEAKER_02]: That's I was supposed to root for someone named Ethan Hunt. [SPEAKER_02]: How am I going to be such an eater, you know? [SPEAKER_02]: Jason Bourne was at least kind of a cool combo name. [SPEAKER_02]: James Bond. [SPEAKER_02]: Ethan Hunt. [SPEAKER_02]: Something a middle manager. [SPEAKER_00]: It's just why I know it noticed him. [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, the best is it all the story. [SPEAKER_00]: This guy just walks in, bond style through the front door as, because he keeps, shape, chain, you know, coming in his face. [SPEAKER_02]: He, he, shape, shift. [SPEAKER_02]: So you can do all this stuff. [SPEAKER_02]: The only one that's annoying to me about him is that he's known for half of that being really the hand-to-hand combat. [SPEAKER_02]: Could he had, he had plastic in his hands to make them like he could crush a skull. [SPEAKER_02]: Problem is that like, I actually do kickbox. [SPEAKER_02]: So I don't need more and retired from basic books. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not how hard your fists are that that break through bone. [SPEAKER_02]: It's the force you punch with. [SPEAKER_02]: Like a bear doesn't bite through your arm because a bear has titanium teeth. [SPEAKER_02]: A bear has eleven hundred PSI strength, bite force, whereas a human has like a hundred and twenty. [SPEAKER_00]: Unless you're Ivan Vandrago. [SPEAKER_02]: Let's try if he dies, he dies. [SPEAKER_02]: That is, again, John side note, the dumbest montage in the history of movies. [SPEAKER_02]: Look man, when he's training in the snow and the cold to go fight a dude who's on Russian level steroids, the best he would have gotten out of that is a cold. [SPEAKER_00]: Remember what it got. [SPEAKER_00]: Remember the punching power. [SPEAKER_00]: They mean it's so ridiculous. [SPEAKER_00]: He hit that thing. [SPEAKER_00]: You're like, so he just punches his biggest problem would be shaking the person's dead body off his fist after he punched through them. [SPEAKER_00]: You're like, that's not a real number man. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not a good move. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_02]: It's not. [SPEAKER_00]: You don't want the ghost of Apollo Creed is about to haunt you for that. [SPEAKER_02]: And I will tell the ghost of Apollo Creed. [SPEAKER_02]: The first Rocky was good. [SPEAKER_02]: The rest of them were terrible. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Rocky Bobbo is a really good movie. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_00]: It just was. [SPEAKER_00]: No. [SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't. [SPEAKER_02]: It's just was better than the ones that came off. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean Rocky five was awful. [SPEAKER_02]: But there we go. [SPEAKER_02]: That's the thing. [SPEAKER_02]: It's great. [SPEAKER_02]: Great on a curve. [SPEAKER_02]: Great on a curve. [SPEAKER_00]: Rocky Bobbo is a good movie. [SPEAKER_00]: It was very watchable. [SPEAKER_00]: Good movie. [SPEAKER_00]: How about that? [SPEAKER_02]: It's like alien four versus alien three. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it was better. [SPEAKER_02]: It was better than alien three. [SPEAKER_02]: That's all I'm saying. [SPEAKER_02]: They're both. [SPEAKER_02]: All right. [SPEAKER_02]: Okay. [SPEAKER_02]: Whatever. [SPEAKER_02]: Back to the cast. [SPEAKER_02]: So. [SPEAKER_02]: He said, why are who we were talking about had serve and gorge for an unknown length of time retired, which I didn't know you could do. [SPEAKER_02]: He was a retired assassin. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I thought they just serve until they die basically. [SPEAKER_00]: That's the whole thing. [SPEAKER_02]: Well, the part that's that's funny is that he then retires, which I like imagine that being your neighbor. [SPEAKER_02]: You got a new neighbor. [SPEAKER_02]: It's like, he's been retired. [SPEAKER_00]: It's been retired. [SPEAKER_00]: It's been retired ever. [SPEAKER_00]: So I said, Hey man, just like you put your bags out of the recycling day and he just ranges out because he's got the truck said him. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, hey, man, we, we had to move again. [SPEAKER_00]: I accidentally murdered everybody on the block because recycling ends. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I like it. [SPEAKER_02]: But although to be fair, he didn't retire and just go, you know, live in a log cabin on a hill. [SPEAKER_02]: He became an arbitrator, which is the head of the Arbites. [SPEAKER_02]: So judge dread. [SPEAKER_02]: And I will say, that's a pretty scary judge dread, where it's like, the normal, the normal art bites can fight. [SPEAKER_02]: This is a former best assassin in all of the venomous asses. [SPEAKER_02]: Imagine this is the judge dreaded. [SPEAKER_00]: It's your like local criminal thinking you're going to get up on one of the judges and you just like, yeah, I killed all of you, like yesterday. [SPEAKER_00]: Actually, you don't even realize your dad. [SPEAKER_00]: What? [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no. [SPEAKER_02]: I'll be a very quick funny story about this reminded me of. [SPEAKER_02]: So when I was living in California down the street for me someone apparently was selling pot out of their house, the spec when marijuana was not legal. [SPEAKER_02]: And so the people decided to do a home invasion robbery and steal from them. [SPEAKER_02]: They, what, what they do is one person knocks on the front door and two of them will jump the neighbor's fence, then jump in the back yard. [SPEAKER_02]: So when you open the front door, they came in the back with guns to rob them. [SPEAKER_02]: Problem is the fence they jumped, that person was home and saw two men with guns jumping a fence. [SPEAKER_02]: So they called the police where this story became funny to me is the SWAT team was practicing about a mile away. [SPEAKER_02]: whoops and so these guys three or four people went to do a home invasion robber on one person and the entire San Jose police SWAT team arrived within like sixty seconds [SPEAKER_02]: The best one was like, they hit one guy, runs out the back and there was an easement there with a little creek behind it. [SPEAKER_02]: He hops a fence, goes into the easement, hops the next fence to land into the yard, the yard of an off-duty police officer who saw the helicopters and was standing in his backyard with his pistol. [SPEAKER_02]: I actually felt bad for the criminals in this way, just getting caught with his badly. [SPEAKER_00]: Things did not work out in our master plan. [SPEAKER_02]: It did not go, it did not, their master plan did not work. [SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, kind of like having judge dread be the former greatest livingist. [SPEAKER_00]: Also Poisoner. [SPEAKER_00]: Again, hence the reason they said, yeah, I killed you guys yesterday. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you just know until today. [SPEAKER_02]: where Assad's important is not right now, but it's coming later. [SPEAKER_02]: At the start of all this work invasion, then Gorik went back to his formal pupil and said, hey, need you back and recruited him back in and sent him on a list of secret missions. [SPEAKER_02]: That's all we're told at this point in the book. [SPEAKER_02]: It's a list of go-do these things. [SPEAKER_00]: They're all going down. [SPEAKER_00]: Hey, for instance, hey, let's talk about one of the big things, Ed Mac, just not paying any attention to the thing that they should be paying a lot of attention to. [SPEAKER_00]: And not in a, we're not, we didn't know it's happening, but more of a, let's see what happens on the flop and poker. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to keep my cards to myself kind of way. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the admet got really weird. [SPEAKER_02]: And then Gorex sends actually one of his spies, two Mars, because the admet just seemed to be completely non-concerned. [SPEAKER_02]: Because remember, they're next to Terra. [SPEAKER_02]: So it's not like the Orcs can invade and not hit them, but the admet seemed to be like, yeah, whatever. [SPEAKER_02]: Back on set this. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's recap, guys. [SPEAKER_00]: We're not winning right now. [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, this is going terrible. [SPEAKER_02]: So back on sanctus, without reinforcements, the space rings there are about to die. [SPEAKER_02]: Blancing is refusing to send his troops. [SPEAKER_02]: Inquisitor Weenand just says, nope, I'm not putting up with this crap. [SPEAKER_02]: What she knew, though, is kind of what everybody knows. [SPEAKER_02]: The Imperial Navy is full of officers who are always jogging for a position. [SPEAKER_02]: And nothing will help you grow within the Imperium, like glory. [SPEAKER_02]: And she targeted specifically an admiral named Arkaya, who commanded a battle fleet that was still near Terra. [SPEAKER_02]: And she convinced Arkaya that, look, if you go quickly right now, [SPEAKER_02]: You know, the orcs are engaged with Black Templar. [SPEAKER_02]: They won't see you coming. [SPEAKER_02]: You land in. [SPEAKER_02]: You could take out the moon. [SPEAKER_02]: You will save terror. [SPEAKER_02]: You will be humanity's greatest hero. [SPEAKER_02]: And archaicos. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: That's it. [SPEAKER_00]: All this gets so much better because if he shows up with just his group, you'd get smoked. [SPEAKER_00]: But in a second. [SPEAKER_00]: But he broadcast is I'm going to secretly, you know, get these guys from the rear to everyone to talk about how awesome he is and everyone else goes, hey, wait a minute. [SPEAKER_00]: I want to be awesome and get glory. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to. [SPEAKER_02]: It becomes hilarious, dude. [SPEAKER_02]: He's just like, I'm going, I'm heading to Sanctus to save the Imperium and to Beth put other people and I'm also going to Sanctus to save the Imperium and this puts Lansing in a bad situation because Lansing can't order them, no stand out because then he's seen as a coward and a traitor. [SPEAKER_02]: And if he lets them go and they do succeed, they might actually use Serpim for power. [SPEAKER_02]: The whole Imperium might say, no, put our Kaya in charge. [SPEAKER_02]: Lansing's an idiot. [SPEAKER_02]: So Lansing has no choice and he comes over, you know, the radio for like a better phrase here and says, everyone's stop. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going, you're all coming with me. [SPEAKER_02]: And he brings the entire Imperial Navy to sectors. [SPEAKER_02]: And you're going to be grudgingly give this guy one tiny prop. [SPEAKER_00]: all he is sludge on my boot with you coming to actual space combat. [SPEAKER_00]: He's really good, actually. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's the greatest, he is the greatest naval mind of the time. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he got to this position because he has one enumeral naval conflicts, including once where he was grossly over a month. [SPEAKER_00]: I said he was good at space combat. [SPEAKER_00]: You can say all this other stuff you're saying. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm saying with good at space combat. [SPEAKER_02]: This was, they arrived in system and begin a direct assault. [SPEAKER_02]: All of the current ships and systems go, oh, you guys are here. [SPEAKER_02]: Thanks, but also cool. [SPEAKER_02]: We do need your help. [SPEAKER_02]: And it starts off pretty okay. [SPEAKER_02]: Lansing knows what he's doing. [SPEAKER_02]: And so he begins picking off all the outer lying orcs to kind of start shepherd in them back towards the main craft. [SPEAKER_02]: And the appeal Navy does have [SPEAKER_02]: really good guns. [SPEAKER_02]: When they bring firepower, is there going to do it? [SPEAKER_02]: Orc fleets really don't work like that. [SPEAKER_02]: Orc fleets are made up of offense, not a lot of defense, because it's really just a rickety spaceship that once you put a hole in, the orcs on the ship lose confidence in the ship, and then the ship becomes what it really is, which the giant pile of scrap, it doesn't do anything. [SPEAKER_00]: So it's, yeah, I just, it's pretty fine now, I just process. [SPEAKER_00]: It's one of my favorites is that [SPEAKER_00]: or space ships aren't airtight. [SPEAKER_02]: They're only airtight as long as all the works on it think it's airtight. [SPEAKER_02]: So when the orcs then see a big enough hole, they go, oh no, it's not airtight. [SPEAKER_02]: And the ships no longer airtight and breaks apart. [SPEAKER_02]: It's freaking awesome. [SPEAKER_02]: They begin. [SPEAKER_02]: So this lancing they're doing well. [SPEAKER_02]: As the fleet gets closer to the attack mode, the orcs break out their secret weapon. [SPEAKER_02]: the jump. [SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't called that in the books, but that's what it was. [SPEAKER_02]: The Orcs start teleporting onto the Imperial ships despite their void shields being up. [SPEAKER_02]: And you know it's not great for an Imperial vessel. [SPEAKER_02]: Hundreds of Orcs boys appearing in the middle of it. [SPEAKER_00]: They are not ready. [SPEAKER_02]: They're not ready for this. [SPEAKER_02]: And the tide of battle just starts to turn the other way. [SPEAKER_02]: Because the impercepts have to disengage from combat because they're fighting works. [SPEAKER_02]: Again, what to point this out? [SPEAKER_02]: These are imperial navy officers, naval, like these are, these are breachers, fighting and orc. [SPEAKER_02]: A space marine versus an orc is a bit of a fight. [SPEAKER_02]: This is not. [SPEAKER_02]: The orcs are slaughtering them inside the ships, and orcs are jumping or to jumping into it. [SPEAKER_02]: However, that's little maneuver actually helps the Imperium because as the naval ships begin disembarking, orcs are always going to work. [SPEAKER_02]: And the orcs have a lot of jealousy. [SPEAKER_02]: Orcs don't really like ranged combat. [SPEAKER_02]: They think it's lame and boring. [SPEAKER_02]: They like hand-to-hand. [SPEAKER_02]: So the Orcs know there's a crumping going on inside the big ships and they go on to go be part of said crumping. [SPEAKER_02]: And they begin following the imperial ships they're just engaging to jump more of them on to the ship to do more fighting. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, you talk about it in the books with it. [SPEAKER_00]: They're also not exactly making tactical retreats. [SPEAKER_00]: They're just going [SPEAKER_00]: Hey, I want to fight over there. [SPEAKER_00]: And just leave. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_02]: And what this does is, as the course, as you'd expect, the fleet, then is peeling off away from the attack moon. [SPEAKER_02]: Therefore, the arc fleet is also following them peeling off the attack moon and Lansing, who's sitting back, not because he's a coward, because it's actually how you do command. [SPEAKER_02]: You sit back with his massive battle group. [SPEAKER_02]: And notice, he's got a clear shot straight at the attack moon. [SPEAKER_02]: And just decides, and in a moment of actually pseudo heroism here, decides on what is a binary choice. [SPEAKER_02]: In the binary choices, I'm going to throw everything I have at this moon, and either we're going to blow it up, and we're going to win, or we're all going to die. [SPEAKER_02]: And he goes with it. [SPEAKER_02]: And the naval guns, they get close up, just open up on this thing. [SPEAKER_02]: And they [SPEAKER_02]: drop the void shield. [SPEAKER_02]: From there, Lansing starts targeting the gravity generators in the moon, knowing that if you can break these apart the moon, we'll just collapse on itself. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but it doesn't, he blows them up. [SPEAKER_02]: It does not go as he thought it would though, because, well, because he didn't know it was really incited. [SPEAKER_02]: He assumed this was a big, like death star. [SPEAKER_02]: I'll put a pop a hole in it and it'll collapse itself. [SPEAKER_02]: He didn't realize inside of it was a portal to another part of the galaxy that also would collapse. [SPEAKER_02]: and explore. [SPEAKER_02]: And so you get, like it goes supernova. [SPEAKER_02]: And it destroys mostly work fleet, but then also destroys a lot of the imperial fleet. [SPEAKER_02]: Lansing does survive with a small chunk of his fleet and they're able to hunt down and kill off all the remaining works. [SPEAKER_02]: It has now achieved the greatest military victory in the Imperium since the siege of terror. [SPEAKER_02]: This is it. [SPEAKER_02]: The works dispersed. [SPEAKER_02]: The battles around the galaxy start to lessen because it was a major attack moon. [SPEAKER_02]: and blessing heads back to terror, in heading back to terror, there's even a massive parade that was created in his honor. [SPEAKER_02]: He's sending, oh, but come on, this is this next episode. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's amazing for that, but he has evidence that there are more moons already. [SPEAKER_00]: There's like a guy with a camcorder going, there's literally way more guys than what you just thought. [SPEAKER_00]: And he went, yeah, I'm an ignore that. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: I've won, you're like, but we have video evidence that there's more guys and he's like, nope, kill them all. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm the best. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm the best. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm number one. [SPEAKER_02]: While having this huge parade on terror, that is to celebrate the end of the work threat, and more importantly, for lancing, to celebrate lancing being the greatest fetus ever lived, a newer tack moon arrives. [SPEAKER_00]: in orbit above terror actually specifically over the parade grounds if you read the book. [SPEAKER_02]: So we're going to break there. [SPEAKER_02]: Next week, we're doing a different topic. [SPEAKER_02]: We're talking about the pets of the Imperium, dogs, cats, whatever crazy animals people have. [SPEAKER_02]: Pretty cool, actually, because there's even some sonic parasites people will keep it actually take over their minds and the site parsley blitz forever. [SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, I'm kidding. [SPEAKER_02]: We're going to do more more of the basics. [SPEAKER_00]: I was like, John's lost his mind. [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the pets of terror could be fun. [SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure we'll get requests for it in this work now. [SPEAKER_02]: I'll offer it enough. [SPEAKER_02]: Gary to you. [SPEAKER_02]: That's coming by the way. [SPEAKER_02]: But next week, we're going to go into battle for terror in the return of Vulcan. [SPEAKER_02]: The battle for terror is long and very convoluted. [SPEAKER_02]: We should also point out this series of novels is twelve novels long. [SPEAKER_02]: And Brad will be the first one to tell you. [SPEAKER_02]: They're not all A's. [SPEAKER_02]: Some of them are really cool though. [SPEAKER_02]: Some of them are very good. [SPEAKER_02]: So just letting you guys know, we're covering about twelve novels and what's going to probably be about four casts is my guess. [SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, next one stuff goes down. [SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of stuff in them. [SPEAKER_02]: The twelve books, if you condense them down, there's incredible stuff in them. [SPEAKER_02]: So this has been John Barsadian, Brad Chester. [SPEAKER_02]: Let's see you next week. [UNKNOWN]: you
