Speaker 1: You are listening to the Dan Patrick Show on Fox Sports Radio.

00:00:04
Speaker 2: You would think after yesterday's devastating news that everybody would pitch in and say we'll get him next year. I walked by Fritzie. Fritzie goes, I'm not feeling it today, and I go, no, that's not the attitude. Come on, I wait till we're nominated.

00:00:19
Speaker 3: Then I'll get that good.

00:00:20
Speaker 2: Okay, But you said you're nervous, you're not feeling it today, and I got March Madness coming up. We got more baseball today. There's a lot of things going on.

00:00:30
Speaker 3: Can we have nothing to do with any of the things you just said?

00:00:32
Speaker 2: Do you want to tap out?

00:00:34
Speaker 3: Never?

00:00:35
Speaker 2: Okay, all right, I need all hands on deck.

00:00:38
Speaker 3: We are We're ready to roll big show today.

00:00:40
Speaker 4: Yeah, Paul, could this be like a pitcher who doesn't have a great bullpen session before the game but then throws a no hitter.

00:00:47
Speaker 2: That happens sometimes it does, And Paul Skeens is pitching today on NBC against the Mets.

00:00:53
Speaker 5: Yes, Marvin, can you not say that term anymore? All hands on deck? Trying to be funny?

00:01:00
Speaker 2: Oh man, where's the sensitivity police? Are they coming in today? You have hands. Yes, you're not handless. Yeah, I mean, I guess. All right, so Todd is here, kind of Seaton's here, Marvin and Paula years truly, and the backroom guys as well. We're ready to go. It's hour one on this Thursday. We'll dive into the I guess it's now a controversy or at least a strong take by Dan Orlovsky with Ty Simpson as the best quarterback in the draft. Chase Daniel, former quarterback, will join us coming up momentarily, and I know that he's looked at film on both of these quarterbacks. We'll get his honest opinion. Mac McClung is going to join us. He's now the all time leading scorer in the history of the G League. How do you celebrate that? It'd be like the all time home run leader in the minor leagues. He's crashed Davis, and we'll talk to him. I mean, he's had two games over fifty fifty four in fifty nine points and still kind of waiting to find his spot somewhere on an NBA roster.

00:02:06
Speaker 6: Yes, Tom, even if he tried to break about it, the first thing anyone would say it wasn't a Jilliague though, Yeah, that wasn't the NBA, right as the Julie.

00:02:13
Speaker 4: Yes, Paul, I'm looking at Mac McClung's basketball reference. He's played for five different NBA teams. He's played a total of ten games in five years. When you watch the NBA, it feels like there could be a spot for a guy who could score off the bench.

00:02:28
Speaker 2: But I want to know what he's been told, right, like, why aren't you on a roster? Why can't you stay on a roster? Now, I've been told certain things, but I want him to tell us why he can't stick with the team in the NBA. Danny Hurley, Now, Dan Hurley on his best behavior in March Madness. He will join us coming up in the final hour of the program. So Sweet sixteen Tonight you got Texas, Perdue, Iowa, Nebraska, Arkansas, Arizona, Illinois, and Houston. I love it baseball last night the Yankees over the Giants seven nothing. I think most people will focus on Aaron Judge going zero for five with four strikeouts. Full slate of baseball today and tonight. Speaking of the Sweet sixteen, I always look at the point spreads as we get ready for the games to start. What kind of movement in the betting lines. Houston is now a two and a half point favorite against Illinois. They were three and a half yesterday. Iowa State was a four and a half point underdog against Tennessee favorite. Now they're three and a half point favored against Tennessee. So those are the only two betting lines that have changed. Purdue by seven and a half, Nebraska by one and a half, Arizona seven and a half against Arkansas, Duke by six and a half against Saint John's and then Yukon one and a half point favorite against Michigan State. Now you can't help but look ahead. If Connecticut would win and Saint John's would win, and then they would get another rematch in that rivalry. Now you're not supposed to look ahead, especially when Saint John's is a six and a half point underdog and Yukon is only a one and a half point favorite against Michigan State. That won't stop us from looking ahead, But Danny Hurley, I'm sure, and Rick Pattino are not looking ahead. Stat of the Day is always brought to you by Panini America, the official trading cards of the program. We say good morning those watching on Peacock. That's our streaming partner. Also the NBC Sports Network First Hour, brought to you by the folks who've been doing it for over forty years now. Tire Rack helping you get the right tires for how and what and where you drive, ship fast and free back by free roade, hazard protection, convenient installation options like mobile tire installation, tirerac dot Com, the way tire buying should be, have a poll question, play of the day, stat of the Day, all of that coming up. Operator Tyler is sitting by. He'll take your phone calls today eight seven seven three DP show. You know, I was thinking about this watching the game last night. And look, it's easy to criticize Netflix for trying too hard, and they did try too hard last night. But when you have bells and whistles, you want to showcase that, you want to wow the audience. It's you know, Thursday night football didn't start out well. The sound quality was terrible. Now we just kind of accept it. But that's what happens when it's something new. We have to go out of our way to watch it on Netflix. So you're going in already with an attitude of okay, it was just too much Netflix. It was as if I was tuning into a kind of a power point on Netflix that there was a baseball game inside of that, like, look at all the things that we do, and you're trying to go, I'm kind of here to watch the baseball game. Well, Netflix wants to sell you on Netflix. But this happens on the other ship, or NBC or Fox or CBS. You know, remember the World series where you say, hey, party of five happened to be here at the Yankee game, and there's the cast of Dawson's Creek or whatever. Malcolm in the Middle sappen happens to be here. Okay, it happens product placement. And I thought El Duncan did a great job hosting. Kind of strange to hear Barry Bonds say anything. He did say, hey, I was a good teammate. I took all those walks for my teammates. As soon as he said it, I spit out my beer and I go, hold on, this is the guy who told me years ago, I don't tell my teammates any information because they could be the opponent the following year. That's not a great teammate here, Barry. And you told me that because I said, you know, do you give information to players about hitting or pitchers? And he goes, no, next year they could be my opponent. Like okay, so he said he was a good teammate last night, Matt Veskershon does you know always good quality baseball gives a big feel to it, but you know you're watching bells and whistles. I hate the end game talk to the manager, especially when we missed the first ever challenge for ABS that didn't help it. I'm like, okay, here we go. Wait what just happened? Okay, I got to see somebody tap their helmet or I miss seeing somebody tap there. It was the first one, and get that moment back. Never yes, Todd, and you.

00:07:41
Speaker 6: Know who also hates the in game coacher manager interviews the coachure manager, just like in halftime.

00:07:47
Speaker 3: In pregame and postgame of any game.

00:07:48
Speaker 2: I'm sure the reporter hates it too, because you're like, uh, hey, hey, skip, gim me no, no, we got to do. Will come out of commercial break and then I got two questions for you. Okay, okay, all right back here. And then Giants Dug out there. I go, Okay, yeah, Pauling.

00:08:05
Speaker 4: I thought the star last night might have been the Giants ballpark. They it was like a showcase of what a beautiful place and location. And it's becoming like an antique, a classic.

00:08:14
Speaker 2: Okay with a car. Is it twenty years that makes your car and antique?

00:08:19
Speaker 3: Yes?

00:08:19
Speaker 2: Correct, it is twenty by the DMV. Yes, okay, okay. So that's a classic ballpark.

00:08:24
Speaker 4: Now, and it was the sun was going down.

00:08:27
Speaker 2: It's a beautiful place to watch a game. There's a lot of different ballparks, and when you go like Dodgers Stadium, like an afternoon, that sunshine afternoon, everything is just gorgeous. The Giant's location, it is you want to talk about. Okay, the stadium product placement, they nailed it. They did. Now. I'm not as big on that right field wall. I would like for it to be a little more friendly. I mean, that's a big wall out there, and it felt like Bonds was the only guy who was hitting it into mccubby cove. But still, it's a beautiful ballpark. The vista's there, and there's a few of those obviously, I mean Wriglely. You still go in and it's magic because most of these stadiums because become antiquated. Fenway. So I'm going into a neighborhood at Wrigleyville, I'm going into a neighborhood in Boston. And you get that feel of you're walking from your hotel or a restaurant and you go to a ballpark, And I love that. San Francisco same way. You could stay at your hotel, you could walk, you could go get something to eat, you could go into the ballpark.

00:09:39
Speaker 7: Yeah, it's exactly what it's supposed to be. It's exactly how it's supposed to be laid out. We saw a day baseball game the Giant Stadium years ago. Barry Zito pitched that day and we were like right behind home cleate and He's watching his curveball drop like that was one of the craziest things I've ever seen. I hear a lot of good things. When you look at lists of best ballparks in the country. I see Petco at the top or near the top of a lot of those. In San Diego. I've never been there. I'd really like to see a baseball game there, but I see that as as top five almost all the time.

00:10:15
Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't like it. It was too sunny. Can the weather just be kind of crappy? So nice? I think. I went to the ballpark and I didn't think they took advantage of the water. Like you go to Oracle you get to see I mean, it's beautiful, but San Diego I was like, Okay, Pittsburgh to me is a better stadium as far as walking to the ballpark across the bridge and the view back to the bridge in the city. Pittsburgh is one of my favorites. I think it's well done and we'll see it on display later on this after noon as Paul's schemes goes up against the Mets. Yes, Todd, can we go to a Pirates game at the NFL Draft? Okay, I said to Paul. If we get in there on Tuesday, there has to be a Pirates afternoon game before the draft starts on Thursday night. Paul goes, the Pirates aren't home during the NFL Draft.

00:11:20
Speaker 4: I didn't want to bum you guys out. I looked this up a month ago. I was gonna see if we could all go on Tuesday, sit there, get sunburn, check out the Pirates. Maybe skiings on the Mound. They have eighteen home games in April. None of them are the week we're there.

00:11:35
Speaker 2: This has to be by design by the NFL.

00:11:39
Speaker 4: Or the the Pirates schedule had to be decided after the NFL gave Pittsburgh the draft. Yes, we're gonna check with the Pirates because they're at the Rangers and then at the Brewers, but everywhere around it they're at home.

00:11:53
Speaker 2: That would have been great for an afternoon game. Imagine a Thursday afternoon game. And I know the drafts in town, so you'd have to have Friday, Saturday, Sunday or But if you could do a Thursday game, afternoon game and then roll that right into the draft, everybody's downtown. Yes, Todd, And that's how powerful the NFL is.

00:12:13
Speaker 6: They can just call Major League BASEB on the Pirates, just to let you know there will be no Pirates home games while we're out of the draft.

00:12:18
Speaker 2: Yeah, let's check on that. And I'd like to check on that. See who's calling this?

00:12:23
Speaker 4: Yes, what if we just go to the PNC park, the Pirates Ballpark, grab some beers, sit there and watch the road game on the jumbo tron. It's a different experience, but I'm up for it.

00:12:33
Speaker 2: How about we just get together and maybe you know, have some infield practice, maybe some VP, Yeah, that'd be nice. No batting practice, shag something, Yeah, yeah, I'll make some pack yet. How broad we do that run around the bases? Oh? Yes, Tom, we can bring out whopletball equipment from the back.

00:12:51
Speaker 6: We're always playing here. We could just bring it over. Well, you don't because I had that injury. You got hurt, hurt my elbow?

00:12:59
Speaker 2: Are you retired from wiffleball? I'm not retired from wiffleball.

00:13:02
Speaker 6: But I came close to Tommy John surgery because I swung a little too hot with the thin back and the airless ball that I was trying to hit, got a little too excited, and next thing I know, like my arm and shoulder had like numb tingling sensations.

00:13:14
Speaker 2: What what is the uh is that sandwich shop? Is it Jimmy John's or something? But what what is it? What is what is it? Paulie Jimmy John. Yeah, that's the only surgery you've ever had. You hurt yourself with Tommy Jimmy. Yeah, you had Jimmy jhonesgery. It was a failure. I do like my giant jersey. It's not pretty.

00:13:37
Speaker 7: Heavy for the Jimmy Johns.

00:13:41
Speaker 2: Huh yeah, yeah, your career not these days.

00:13:45
Speaker 4: Double meat, Doc, double meat.

00:13:47
Speaker 2: Uh give me a give me a sample of a pole question and then we'll take a break. Chase Daniel will help us understand the uh these rising love affair with Ty Simpson. What do you have to see? Well, why don't we start with a simple one? The NFL season opener on a Wednesday night.

00:14:06
Speaker 7: Love it, hate it or don't really care either way.

00:14:09
Speaker 2: But this isn't in Australia, so that one is going to be in Seattle. So Seattle, you win the Super Bowl, you get to host the first game of the season, and it opens on a Wednesday night. Thursday is the Niners Rams in Australia? Correct Amunda, correct Amunda. Okay. I got a little bit more on this coming up, but we'll take a break. By the way, if you're watching on Peacock or NBC Sports Network, what you're going to see during the commercial breaks is the Sports Emmy reel that Mario put together that we didn't get nominated for, but he wants you to see the different segments that he put on the Emmy reel that apparently the voting committee didn't think much of. So you can judge yourself as I think this is Mario's way of saying, hey, don't blame me, blame us. I got that feeling today. He could try, but that's not gonna work. No, it's not, it's not. I appreciate the effort, but it's not gonna work. And by the way, he's moved on. You know, him and Anthony are so excited because the Mets are playing today. You got their little T shirts on, probably gonna be watching, you know, this afternoon with all their friends here. It's gonna be cute, gonna be really.

00:15:24
Speaker 7: A little like a school day like Okay, today's teams Jersey.

00:15:29
Speaker 2: Yeah, guaranteed to be disappointed later on this year, Mets fans, All right, take a break. Chase Daniel will join us coming up right after this.

00:15:40
Speaker 1: Be sure to catch the live edition of The Dan Patrick Show weekdays at nine am Eastern six am Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio wapp.

00:15:50
Speaker 2: Paully Fools Go ahead with Tony Fools Go Yeah.

00:15:52
Speaker 8: As everybody knows, we're of the hosts of the award winning Paully and Tony Foodsco Show. But instead of us telling you how great we are, here's how Dan Pack described us when he came on our show.

00:16:02
Speaker 2: Quick, knowledgeable and funny, opinionated.

00:16:06
Speaker 9: What are you doing?

00:16:06
Speaker 2: Were interrupting our promo?

00:16:08
Speaker 1: Yeah, you wasn't talking about you.

00:16:10
Speaker 10: You took those clips totally of context.

00:16:12
Speaker 8: Oh yeah, well after this promo, I'm gonna take you out and beat you.

00:16:16
Speaker 2: Let me put this into context.

00:16:18
Speaker 1: Shut up.

00:16:19
Speaker 8: Yeah, anyway, just listen to the Pauly and Tony Fusco Show on Ietradio, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.

00:16:25
Speaker 2: Yea age seven to seven three DP. Show operator Tyler is sitting by. He'll take your phone calls. We were talking about we're going to Pittsburgh. We'll be there for the draft. We'll be there Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. We'll give you the location and I think we can have about fifty to sixty people there each day. But we'll give you h information as we get a little bit closer. And we were hoping the pirates would be at home, we'd be able to go see even you know, an afternoon game. Pittsburgh is so overtaken for the NFL Draft. Pittsburgh public schools are canceling in person classes around the dates of the draft, so maybe it's gonna be a people crunched there and they got their hands full with just the draft. Yes to how'd you find that so weak?

00:17:13
Speaker 6: I grew up in New York, where I remember trudging to school snow above my knees. I kept the school open in like eight to ten inches of snow. The NFL Draft is in town and they're closing the school for I think multiple days no school because they're making picks in the National Football League.

00:17:28
Speaker 3: That's insane.

00:17:29
Speaker 2: And you went a mile both ways uphill right, I had a long It.

00:17:34
Speaker 6: Was a horizontal walk, but it was several blocks and the freezing called it snow.

00:17:37
Speaker 3: It would take a foot of snow for New York are closed the schools.

00:17:39
Speaker 2: Are you calling Pittsburgh soft? I will stop short.

00:17:43
Speaker 6: Of playing yourself, because we're gonna be there in person in the coming weeks.

00:17:46
Speaker 2: But I think it's pretty after we leave Pittsburgh. Will you call Pittsburgh? Yes?

00:17:49
Speaker 6: And I'll say that decision makers whoever was involved with that decision week Yes, Paul?

00:17:53
Speaker 4: Or is it cool that the kids and their families will be able to get a jump start on coming downtown and seeing the draft festivt Because.

00:18:00
Speaker 2: Of this, Pirates Steelers have a first round pick, correct, like in the top fifteen.

00:18:07
Speaker 4: Yeah, so it times out a couple hours into the draft before the Steelers pick.

00:18:10
Speaker 2: Okay, we'll get to your phone calls. We'll settle on our poll question. Man, we were kind of easing into the draft and all of a sudden, dani Rolofsky starts to fall in love with ty Simpson, calls him is QB one over Fernando Mendoza, and then all of a sudden, now we care about the draft a little bit more. Chase Daniel ESPN NFL and college football analyst. He joins us on the program. What would you say to those who are critical of dani Rolovsky's opinion analysis of Ty Simpson over Fernando Mendoza. Yeah.

00:18:48
Speaker 3: Look, I.

00:18:50
Speaker 9: Talked to Dan quite a bit that after that thing that he said with ty Simpson over text, and you know, he's just explained to me. I'm like, dude, you don't have to explain to me, like you have an opinion and you're one of the few people that watches every single snap. I mean, there's quite a few that are out there, but then to be able to regurgitate it to the public. Here's where I told him that he was a little bit unstrue and when he went on the Pat McAfee show, because I have no issue whatsoever, and I told Dan this to his face, like I like that, like I tend to agree, like I think Tysonson is way closer to QB one. I don't think he's QB one than he is QB three. But here's where I went and got on him a little bit because we're friends. I said, you said to you know, millions of people out there, whether social media, Pat McAfee show, whatever, that Mendeza didn't play in any big games. Yeah, I'm like, I'm like, Dan, did you see his college football playoff run? Did you see him against the number one defense in the nation in the Big Ten Championship game? And then he went on to be like, I'm like, no, Dan, you don't understand ten touchdowns one interception during those four games. It is the greatest, one of the greatest runs that we've seen in history. Plus you did it with Indiana against blue Bloods. I mean that was a row of teams that, and so I think that's probably like I don't really care, Like there's a lot of people I've talked to some teams. I've talked to a few teams last night that have Simpson over Mendoza. And that's fine, but we just got to understand that quarterback evaluation sort of a crapshoot. I appreciate Dan in his opinion and the platform that he's given, and I think it's I think it's absolutely ridiculous that you know, people are saying Dan's represented by CIA, ty Simpson's represented by CIA. Look, I don't play any attention to that. I just got onto Dan for him segment doesn't and play any big games.

00:20:58
Speaker 2: What does ty Simpson do better than Fernando Mendoza.

00:21:02
Speaker 9: Yeah, I think he's a more natural thrower of the football, Like like when you taught what does that mean?

00:21:07
Speaker 2: Yeah?

00:21:08
Speaker 9: Well, when when I talk to people in the league still or or former players who are analysts, it just like his throwing motion, his mechanics from the ground up just look beautiful, Dan.

00:21:23
Speaker 2: Like like like yesterday it is prota.

00:21:25
Speaker 9: It was like everything you would ever teach a young kid on how to throw a football. This is what you want it to look like. And so Mendoza is a little bit more robotic. I think Mendoza has a little bit of a stronger arm, and so when you're throwing it and you're watching it in shorts, you're gonna be like, man, I like, look, I get Mendoza six', FIVE i Get Ty simpson sixty one six. Two but like people who have played the, POSITION i think more so gravitate towards that and get lost in. That although that's not that's not even remotely all of the. Evaluation but WHEN i, HIM i feel the same. Thing i'm, like, man he's really really good within the, pocket got really good. Mechanics now he's only played fifteen. Games AND i saw your take AND i thought it was. Right a couple days. Ago i'm, like you want your quarterback to have more than fifteen? Starts, LIKE i totally agree with, you, Right but you watch the quality of those starts at the beginning of the. Year And i've said this before AND i don't think this is a. Reach and you can go back and look on my x, account fittzy or whatever and pull this up, because LIKE i, said When Ty simpson after LIKE i think The missouri, game which was game eight or nine of his. Season i'm, like there's nobody playing better in college? Football like is he is locked in to like a very high top pick and he is probably gonna win The heisman if he continues. That that's not being, facetious that's not being hot, take that's not being clicked. Bait like you just watch it and it's like, wow and then all of a, sudden it's like a huge drop off and. Play yes he got, sick guess, Rightus, yes he got hurt a little. Bit the offensive line didn't play very, well no run, game and in the last four or five games he really. Struggled got a lot of happy. Feet AND i think if you're taking Ty simpson in the draft in that's the number one thing.

00:23:12
Speaker 2: That you have to.

00:23:13
Speaker 9: Ask And i've talked to teams that have, asked, like what? Happened was it just because you were? Sick was it just because you were down to one hundred and eighty five? Pounds he just looked like a completely different. Player that's my issue on Why Ty simpson's not.

00:23:27
Speaker 2: Quarterback.

00:23:28
Speaker 9: One there was a massive drop off in.

00:23:30
Speaker 2: Play where Would Tom brady's arm today rank among the starting. Quarterbacks. Wow you, know.

00:23:40
Speaker 9: For, ME i never thought Of Tom brady as like this like huge arm type guy Like John. Elway, RIGHT i would say it's probably be middle of the. PACK i mean that's not What brady was ever gonna win you. With brady was always gonna win you with his brain and his. Arm AND i feel Like i'm getting back into a little bit of a hole ride Because i'm, like, Well, brady like he's like not the strongest, time like the goat for, sure but there's AND i think this is a good point because it's like there's so much more to playing quarterback than looking good in, shorts LIKE i said With Ty, simpson and AND i think that's Where Fernando mendoza really crosses that line for me as.

00:24:22
Speaker 2: Quarterback, yeah BUT i was bringing Up brady because he played in that flag football and he still he looks good man for a guy who's what what is he forty eight now forty? Eight, Yeah, yeah it's. UNBELIEVABLE i mean he's still he's still slinging. It he really is still got. It. Man we're talking To Chase, DANIEL ESPN nfl college football. Analyst you, know we look at this. Draft it's not a sexy. Draft you got you Know mendoza's going. On the curiosity Is Jeremiah. Love is he a top five? Pick and then you're gonna Have Ty. Simpson other than, that you got you, know a few wide receivers from edge rushers. There But i'm curious about your philosophy of drafting a running. Back AND i don't look At Jeremiah love as a running. BACK i just look at him as an, influencer like he's he's going to be out there returning, kicks catching, passes and he can hit home. Runs would you take him in the top five if You're? Tennessee do you take? Him if he's?

00:25:23
Speaker 9: There, yeah that's where it gets interesting for. Me if You're, TENNESSEE i think you have to really look at taking an offensive weapon for a Cam ward BECAUSE i, like for the most part what Cam ward put on. Tape, now it was a tough season and a lot of, change a lot of all. This he just doesn't have any. Weapons AND i would agree with you there's not many backs out there that do the type of things That Jeremiah love. DOES i just think he's a, really really good prospect and a really really like shallow draft class of like top tier. Talent, right you got the edge, rushers you got the, quarterback really one that's in the top five in my. Opinion so then you're, thinking, well you, know do you want to get an EDGED i don't think an offensive tackle necessarily goes in the top, five and SO i think you're sort of backing yourself Into Jeremiah. Love here's what's interesting to me is like his contract's not going to be that much compared To Saquon barkley or compared to all these other guys if you take them and you get them for five years in the first round, Regardless but if you can have a guy that can come in and be a three down. BACK i think he's a lot better blocker than people give him credit.

00:26:29
Speaker 2: FOR i think he's really.

00:26:30
Speaker 9: Good out of the. Backfield like there's no way he's gonna make it. There but like The, saints to me make a ton of sense because LIKE i was With Alvin kamara When Sean payton drafted. Him, NOW i don't think they're the same. PLAYER i Think love's a little bit, bigger but he can have that kind of impact that early on out of the backfield catching the, ball and just the type of person he, IS i would absolutely be interested in taking them If I'm Tennessee.

00:26:57
Speaker 2: Titans is there a third? Quarterback?

00:27:01
Speaker 9: Yeah look that Is that is the thousand dollars, question, man because when you look at, it it's like for me at, least right it's, like my opinion is Like mendoza And, simpson AND i do think they're. Close LIKE i do think they're. CLOSE i Think mendoza's, ONE i Think simpson is is. Two and then to, me there's a huge drop off to where it's maybe maybe end of day, two beginning of day, three and that person to me would be Either Garrett nessmeyer Or Drew. Aller, Now Garrett neusmeyer to me is an interesting one because he's a little bit you, know coaches. Kid he's gonna, interview, well he's gonna look good in. Shorts but when you watch the film this past, year, YES i know he was, Hurt, Yes, elis it just wasn't very. Good you go back two years ago in twenty twenty four and you're watching, it you're, like, okay LIKE i can see some traits of a high quality. Backup maybe in the right, scheme and right. Fit if you have to, play you can be. Successful and Then Drew ALLER i mean to, me LIKE i really liked them two years, ago but he's probably the most frustrating Prospect i've watched in the past couple of years when you break down, quarterbacks because he has all the traits in the, World, like, like you look at him just, Physically, dan and you would have said in twenty twenty, FOUR i, mean this is WHAT i want my guy to be made. Of and then you watch the film you're, like what are you? Doing like there's these dope plays here and there that you're just, like. Ah and it shares the sentiment of SOME nfl Teams.

00:28:32
Speaker 2: I've talked to with.

00:28:33
Speaker 9: It but, like if you have good coaching and if you feel really good about Developing i'm not gonna say he's gonna come in and play right, away but if you develop them high level backup can be a. Starter and then obviously Like Carson, BECK i think like there's there's hit or miss on. Him it's just a really it's, like if you want to back up quarterback After Ty simpson And, mendoza this is possibly your.

00:28:53
Speaker 11: Draft how Does Kyler murray work In. Minnesota, yeah that's a great. ONE i really like it a. Lot to be honest with, YOU i think the second that you, KNOW koc Signed kyler and then re Sign Carson, Wentz, LIKE i just THINK jj McCarthy's going to be quarterback three and could be you, know on the move in the draft if someone will take, Him LIKE i JUST i don't think his as far as as as you, KNOW jj McCarthy, GOES i think his time With minnesota is sort of probably done now With. Kyler here's what is really good About kyler BECAUSE i like the way he, plays but he's very MUCH i want to do it myself type, quarterback right so Like.

00:29:35
Speaker 9: I'm gonna put it all on, Me i'm gonna do all.

00:29:37
Speaker 2: This he doesn't have to do that.

00:29:38
Speaker 9: Anymore like you look at the offensive system he's going, to plus the playmakers around. Him If kaos can get him to just be like, hey just throw an out route to the field on. Time you don't want to take his stinger away by, scramble but like just throw a three step. Pitch let's just let's just move the ball down the. Field he's never done, that but With, kyler it makes a lot of. Sense you're getting him for one point three, million but he could turn his career.

00:30:02
Speaker 2: ROUT i mean he really.

00:30:04
Speaker 9: Could and the fact that he's going to a guy like Koc, MAN i really like.

00:30:07

Dan whatever happened to the big panic over torpedo bats the beginning of the last, season after The yankees had their nine home run game and all the talk was torpedo bats are going to ruin. Baseball that lasted a couple of weeks and you haven't heard. ANYTHING i think it had more to do With yankee, HAATERS i, agree and the bats. Themselves And, dan remember it was probably some fifteen years. Ago ALL i said my call was that The yankees were arguably arguably the greatest sports franchise. Ever and you Had Peter king on right after my call and he was. Livid he written my take. Shreds it was. Classic and AS i, said, then methinks The springfield Mass native doth protest too. Much And, dan you mentioned yesterday that you once had the station wagon where you had to roll it to get it, going just like The Karate kid and his. Mom SO i guess that makes you the O d the Original Daniel son And dan Like Karate, kid did you ever take dates out in your?

00:32:04
Speaker 7: Prostitute sometimes it takes a little while to get, there but when you figure it, out it.

00:32:09
Speaker 2: CLICKS i kept thinking the women have to figure it, out not, Me and THEN i realized nobody wants a unibrow dated, guy you, know unless You're Anthony. Davis and of Course marvin Loves Anthony. Davis, Yes. Martin first of, ALL i. Do and then second of, all it's kind of Like Steph. Curry Steph curry and hit his striding two year. Five, yeah you're kind of Like Steph curry the dating. World, yeah, yeah that's that's, yeah that's, right UNANIMOUS mvp one.

Speaker 14: You, HEY i got. This made a comment about the game On netflix last night and you're always talking about letting the game breathe and just didn't feel like that last. Night there would be a hammering of the pitch and it goes right to a camera angle of a, fan and then another and then the coach and then go right back to the. Pitcher you never got to see him like set up and for check Base, runners you, know.

00:39:14
Speaker 2: So uh that's ALL i, yeah it was Bumpy. Andrew there are elements that were. Good this is what happens when you have all these new toys and bells and whistles and you want to showcase all of. It it's normal and then they'll settle. In but they don't have that many games that they're. DOING i don't think, now is that. RIGHT i don't Think netflix is doing a lot of baseball. Games at LEAST i didn't get that. Feeling but, YEAH i was a little inundated with NET flixi and things and. Personalities baseball is a game that You it shouldn't be a lot of different camera. Cuts it should be let it just kind of breathe a little bit. There but if you're trying to, showcase hey look at our. Graphics look at this camera. Angle hey hey we got a big inn out in mccobby. Coke, okay we got. It we gotta shuttle. Down, yes are you saying it needs to be net. Fixed i'm gonna give you a bluep on that. One i'm gonna give you that to. You jacob In, Oklahoma, Hi, Jake.

00:40:34
Speaker 12: Stadium and Then Barry, bonds he hasn't even been around the public for a. While and then his comments about being a good. TEAMMATE i know you said, that BUT i was JUST i immediately thought of you BECAUSE i had no idea what he was talking, about AND i don't think he did, Either and it just felt like the other people in the broadcast were like defending.

00:40:57
Speaker 2: Him it just felt.

00:40:58
