Ep. 352: 'TNH' Sex Tapes and Aces & Eights (2012) Part 2

Well, boss, it's time to get on with this dirty business. If
we're going to impeach the idea of Aces and Eights around here at TLF and
on the TNH journey, we don't just talk shit. We subject ourselves to
the material. We bury ourselves and shit, maybe harry ourselves and shit.
I couldn't have said it better myself. We need to maintain intellectual honesty around
here. And if we're going to say the television around Aces and Nates and
this storyline that's the next chapter of Hule Coogan's career in life in TNA was
the shits, then we need to be willing to get into the mud a
bit and make an honest assessment. Are you ready to watch the Aces and
Eights epic unfold before our eyes here on t No, I'm no, I'm
miserable about it. I'm so I'm so depressed about this ship so great.
I mean, let's just off the top. For those that might just be
listening to part two first or haven't heard your thoughts in the tail end of
the last part of this episode, why did you come away from watching all
this Aces and Ate story line progression, solid fundamental storytelling, The structure,
the formatting right, the principles of reality television, Mark Burnett, et cetera.
How were you not compelled? Sons of anarchy? Hello? I mean,
what didn't you like about it? Written large? I mean I think
you said it all right there, that's pretty much all. Why didn't I
didn't mean too no, no, no, I mean all those all those
bishopisms. We're certainly it. But number one, it's the same shit they've
been doing the last year. Yeah, I know that's the thing. I
think it's like this, this graduated creative kind of inspiration. Here's a line
at Hogan says, I'm along the way here to stay as a brother.
This is this is this is something different. Dude says the same thing,
and he says that about every single one, like this is the most dangerous
thing we've ever had at this time are different? This time is different.
Broad all started when he told Hall and Nash that of the first impact he
did, and he said it like six times in yet it's the same companies
under siege, Like can we stop with the company being under siege? I'm
so over that? Like, isn't there a time after that? And everybody
knows I love a good invasion. I love a good invasion, except but
a TNAH invasion of your right of your waking moment. I know, I
did not expect six months of this ship and I didn't either, And then
people wonder why we were looking for a hundred grand to do a TNA show
or teenage journey more accurately. Right, right, No, this is it.
This is as much as you're gonna get. But I mean, you
don't think the Aces and Eights are cool with their masks and they're like leather,
No, I don't. I don't think they're cool. I think they're
I think they're completely like it's I'll tell you why. Okay, So here's
here's the thing. This is what I said before, what the only thing
you could possibly do? And here I was. I was like, okay,
this could be kind of cool because there are a lot of people who
we haven't seen in a while, or maybe that I didn't know, kind
of made the jump or something like that. At once they they reveal who
they are, it's like, okay, it leaves impact. Well, that's
great, but this fucking storyline is a slogs. It's disciplined story slow,
slow burns slow. It's not listen. I love long term stories and I
love a slow burn. This there was no burning. They were like burning
of cash and good will. Yeah. They waited to strike the match to
start the burn for like a months at a time, and and then and
then the reveal. I mean it's it's black Scorpion worthy. Yeah, well
the black Scorpion inspired. Yeah, that's true too, all the way down
to Bischoff, just like Olie did voicing over one of the keys. Did
not he did not. Oh yeah, I hope you captured it. You
may not have known too. I don't know. I tried, I was
I was so disgusted. I probably didn't get it because I was so just
disgusted by the ship. Well, when we last last talked about this,
when we last left you, Sting was getting attacked in the middle of the
ring after being saluted as the first ten A Hall of Famer by these mysterious
masked men. They weren't called Aces and Eates yet. That would come the
next week. But this sudden attack in the summer of twenty twelve leads us
into the Aces and Eight's era of TNA and of course therefore t n H.
So we go to the July fifth, Impact, right after Independence Day,
and one scene, there's a camera in the office at you know,
one of those conference tables, not Hogan's administrative office, and there is Jason
Hervey, though his face is obscured by the camera and he's got a baseball
cap on. I don't know why he took the effort to mask his face
this time, when in just a couple of episodes we'll see him like two
or three times backstage because he's the person that runs up on wrestlers and these
on the fly interviews and asks them questions and all the questions we want answered.
And he's here at the conference table talk in the Hulk who says it's
on fire. Other with these two young with these two guys spearheading this pay
per view, the company's moving in a direction. He's still you want to
talk about repetitive. He's still saying these things about TNA being finally catching a
groove. I mean, don't you have any like self respect, Like,
don't you ever stop and think like I said the company was on track a
year ago. I said it was on track two years ago. I said
it was going to be on track when I came in, like if you're
still saying it. In the summer of twenty twelve, he makes predictions about
about rudenaries. I don't think so, not quite yet. Okay, this
is um. This is when he's talking about, you know, to the
cameras he's supposed to be doing an interview, and then someone comes in and
says, help, this is for you. Oh yes, yes, um
Wait a minute. I I could swear that I had this all right,
while you look, I'll try to give people a sense. So it's it's
an envelope and it says, we're not cowards, we got something for you,
Hogan. It's some guy with a and a white polo, and you
can tell he's not necessarily a friend to whole Cogan that's making this delivery.
And hey, he asks the camera crew to shut down the interview because he's
got to open this envelope. He of course doesn't ask the camera crew that's
shooting the camera crew to turn off that cameras. But I didn't have it.
I thought I had it, but I don't have it. I guess
we're flying the wall. And he opens up the envelope and there it is
and aces and eights playing card display taped on a piece of paper and it
says see you next week, and he goes, what in the hell,
And of course they lave Michael or I mean maybe as a boom mic but
whatever. Man, can you hear the breathing through the nose? And these
fucking backstage tnas gets oh my god, it's so vile. It's all you
hear. And so Hogan freaks out and so somebody stop that guy who came
in and delivered the message. But maybe if you didn't kick him out,
weren't such asshole, you can get your hands on him. Very concerned,
very concerned. And this is the first time we see Aces and Eights as
the name of this group, and it's just kind of as if by Osmosis,
Mike, Tinee and Taz on the announcement kind of understand that that is
what these people want to be called, that it wasn't just something they put
on a piece of paper, but that And that's a huge problem I have
with the Aces and Eights angle. Honestly, is they they they're allowed to
blend in to the main narrative of impact way too seamlessly, like there's little
point to this. Is the aces an eighth segment and it ends and we
don't even talk about it for the next match with different wrestlers in a different
program. I mean, I guess that's part of it too, is like
has to be encompassing, It has to freak everybody out there there there Also,
again, I think that here's something another thing that bothered me about it.
Why are they and why are they trying to take over a wrestling company?
Right? What is that fucking you know, there's no I guess I
guess there's no clear focus. And that's what, you know, I think
that's what people to kind of take for granted if with the nWo at times,
is that the focus, especially the very beginning, was that they were
implying that they were WWE and that they were you know, that's what that's
different if these guys were you know, some WWE rejects. See this is
yeah, this is really hard for Eric though, because don't don't don't forget
they got sued. I'm now they got sued, and so he has to
tell himself that the nWo was not designed to make you think these are WWF
guys invading and so if he's going to repeat it with the Aces, Nates.
He can't bring himself beyond that though, Like I mean, does he
can? He really not like talk about it. Well, he's got he's
got to stick to the story they put out there. Yeah, I mean
there is there. I think there was a m ultimately a settlement in the
case. So there probably are terms where he can't, you know, describe
it as such, or he could suffer a penalty if he describes it as
such, because that's why they sued him. Is creating market confusion about whether
WWF was actually working with WCW. And of course everybody knows and Eric knows
this too. I gotta think, Yeah, that's the whole reason it was
money is because people who right had a negative animus towards WCW, wouldn't watch
them for years, suddenly felt like it was okay because there seemed to be
this all of a sudden. Nitro was all about the WWF. Right,
It's like you looked at Hall of Nash and you saw the WWF. That's
what you saw when they invaded, and that's what they designed it to look
like, and it was brilliant. I'm not you know, there was obviously
tremendous stuff. It's kind of a shame that has to go down in history
as this like fake. You know, they were mad about not being respected
when they first came through WCW, like anybody remembers OZ and video. Yeah,
I know, come on, Diamond stud like, give me a break,
knock it off with that shit, so so embarrassing. So here we
are, and yeah, I know if it was a bunch of WW guys
and you know Festus is a next WW guys not good enough for you,
I know. I mean we're already in Michael wall Street joining the nWo territory
and it just started. I mean, I just don't care about none of
these guys matter, sorry Dudley fans. And you heard Bischoff in some of
those clips from the podcast he did about the angle, kind of suggesting that
because there were so many guys, young guys, they wanted to have a
reason to be on the show and get over because they didn't matter, they
were put into aces and eights. Try to get them to matter, and
that is so asked backwards. For an angle like this, you have to
put people who matter already in the spot to start, and then you can
bring in Imagine if like some rookie that had never been in WW television joined
the nWo, which is what is about to happen in a lot of cases
here or not even necessarily a ship jumper, I mean Aces and Nates is
like what would have happened if the first members of the nWo were like Scott
Norton, Michael wall Street, Stevie Ray and Vincent and that eventually, you
know, Hogan joins in like a year, you know, But we're supposed
to care or on the front end instead of Hall of Nash with these Oh
the fuck brother? Brother? What's going on, dame at Houston's calling?
You see it's La brother LA's calling. I'm telling you probably is, or
it's with the other one. Brother. What's going on? Dude? What's
his LA attorney's name? The the agent there. I can't believe I'm already
forgetting his name. Henry Holmes. Thank you, Henry Holmes. Later on
this episode of Impact, Bobby Rude gets in Hogan's face backstage and says to
Hogan, you have given nothing but false hope and promises to these fans and
the entire X division. Uh yeah, I just totally true. Welcome to
Hogan. Yeah, So he's preparing to lose the championship to Austin Arri's at
Destination X. We moved now to the next week, the July twelfth Impact,
where Austin Arri says, oh, yeah, but there was an there
was a thing in his office where these here hold on. Maybe this is
the whole thing and I just didn't write all the information down. Here's this
bite, uh with Hogan. You gotta get your prediction there. It is
Jason Herdery's first Bobby Rude Destination X. It's on fire, brother, I
mean, well, these two guys spearheading this pay per view company's moving action.
Hogan. Hey, this is for you, yo. We're not cowards.
Oh so this is how you come to me. We're not cowards.
We got something for you. Hogan. Yeah, you don't sound like a
coward. This is what you got for me. I guess I'm sorry.
Shut the thing down. What the hell does this mean? What's going on?
One in the hill? What was that? I don't know, brother,
or somebody fun somebody stopped that guy. All right, see if you
can get it, all right, Catt, that's not the first that's not
the only cut. We're gonna hear in this fucking and it's not the only
cut Jason Hervey's about to hear and hisn't. But you know, there he
is Hogan paranoid. It's all there. I kind of realized when we started
TLF it was after this. Of course, it was after Hogan TNA run.
Yeah, and as we sort of caricatured Hogan as being, you know,
sort of office minded and political minded and paranoid, and picture this Hogan.
This is the one I had in mind, right because we had we
saw Hogan who had to express himself in a way that wasn't just building a
match, but someone who had to try to show some acting range in the
context of a wrestling show, not playing a character like in a movie.
But what would help Hogan the character do if he was suddenly right in a
position to have to worry about being out politicked and stuff. And yeah,
it all comes from these little segments and then these little moments. So the
next week, Austinaria says, we're ready for the next boom period, and
Austinari's is the man to lead us into it. It won the championship by
this point, and that's the boom period. Hard Stop if you find yourself
saying that on a wrestling show, you've lost the plot. A wrestler should
not care about boom periods. That has you know that happens organically because a
wrestler is interesting to watch beat the shit out of people. Okay, and
when matches you don't. You don't declare a boom period before there's any evidence.
It's just so sad. So Hogan and Stinger back in the old office
now. Sting says one hundred and fifty percent aces and eights. Something is
telling him it's time to go old school here. Okay, I don't know
what that means. He does. They never explain what they mean by half
of the things they say. Um, but this time's different, Sting,
to your point, this time's different, Sting, I think I'm I gotta
have this one too. Sorry, you know I labeled them differently. I
I everything happened. I fuck this, fuck this too, fuck this story
right here here. I think this is here here, this is that?
This is that I mean, Yeah, I pretty much like fuck this shit.
I've been in the gym one hundred aces and I'm telling you what something's
telling me that it's almost time for you and me to go old school.
Yeah, but this time's different, sting, I mean old school. It's
fine. Yes, oh, Steven Dudley Man. We saw what happened to
you a couple of weeks ago when they jumped you, and we saw what
these guys did when they made the threat to you. Garrett and myself,
we came here to say that basically, well, look, gave me a
chance for this title. I owe you. I want to let you know,
and we've got your back no matter what. We're here for you.
All you got to do is let us know. I know who you're I'm
a brother, and Garrett, I know it's trust me. We got this
one and this is ours. Thank you though, all right, thank you,
we got it. But you know you can. You know you can
trust us, You know you can count on us. I don't. I
don't know who you are, brother, all right, old school I'm telling
you this is different though, in real deep this time so stupid. First
of all, I don't think that Devon character sounds very trustworthy, do you,
brother? Kind of just all of a sudden, punching above his weight
and offering his help. It's almost like he's got an agenda. Um,
old school. What does that mean? Hulk can't move, he can barely
throw a punch, and what do you mean he's gonna go back twenty was
twenty fighting in bars, Like what are you talking about? I hate that
in wrestling. I hate well, just because an old guy who with a
lot of cred and legendary status says something. It's it's supposed to mean something
to us, like say like explain yourself, like say things that explain,
like don't speak in a shorthand that no one's ever heard before. And you
know, and that's that's the same thing with Hulkan, the Rnoli and the
fucking ten is a and yeah, all that shit. And Holgan has his
fists taped in the office, so you know what that means. Rude gets
in his face again and they talk about open fight night, sting comes out
of the ring, looks about that special moment being shattered at the hands of
these heels um this gang Hogan has described as cowards. They they're sensitive about
the word gang. As Eric Bischoff mentioned there in that podcast interview, because
I think this is this y six, this is July twelfth. Okay,
we're still July twelfth, Okay, um so, Sting says, you know,
now we got a crew that loved to play games. I'm thinking,
what the w W locker room at this time? Aces and Nates? You
say, same play, same time, and this is this feels like a
good time. Um And I'm thinking to myself, how does Sting already know
that the whole group is called Aces and Nates? Because Hodan got an envelope?
Yes, and I know for sure this is the right place. And
I didn't come alone. I brought Hulkamania. Sting continues the trend of calling
Hulkogan, not Hulkogan, but Hulkamania. It's not good for you, it's
not healthy. So come on out, Hulk holds music hits nothing, Come
on out? Where is he nothing? Where is Hogan? They at the
music hits again? We want Hogan nothing. Stand Stings in the middle of
the ring, frozen with his joker paint and a T shirt, and they
hit the music a third time. Like, guys, if he's not back
there, why do you keep hitting the music? Like, don't hit the
music? Do you see him? It doesn't The guy who presses the button
stand at Gorilla and can see if he's there, And then we hear Brooke
screaming, and then we see up on this video screen get off him,
Get off him. And the Aces and Eights are attacking Halt in his office
and they've turned furniture over and Hogan's clutching his leg. It's just my like,
it's all right, he tells Brook. As they scram there's like the
playing cards on the ground, aces and ads because they carry playing cards around
like children. And he's bleeding, it looks like, and they're all hovering
over him, and Sting goes up the ramp and then when he goes to
check on Hogan, he gets ambushed from behind in the building by the Aces
and Eights. The guy and the guys in masks and leather vests, jeans
and flannel. Just what we need. And yeah, we just go off
the air in silence. The announcer's laying out his Sting gets assaulted again.
Now Hogan hasn't had enough surgeries. I think we've established that by now in
TNH Boss, Yeah, I think you can use another one. He's got
to go in for a shoot hip surgery around this point in time. So
that's what this is about. But it's not the kind of surgery that's going
to lay him up for months. He's back in a couple of weeks.
But they they shoot this angle to explain it. July nineteenth Impact. They
opened with silence after the hokiest voiced over recap. That's another thing. They
suck the life out of these angles by recapping it the next week at the
top of the show. Right, Oh, I know, yeah, right,
this is story guys. Look how much time we spent in studio producing
a highlight video to give spotlight to people who are supposed to be from You
know, I am uh for my days. You know when I worked with
Mark Burnett. You know one thing that we always have is a recap.
Yeah, you always going to recap on it. I need to remind the
audience where the story let off and these things, what are they're supposed to
be asked? What are the beats that we're going to focus on. If
you're not asking questions, you've lost most of what you're trying to accomplish.
If if you're not if you if the audience isn't asking questions, you've lost
the audience. What if one of the questions is why am I still watching
this show? What if one of the questions is when is Hulkoken actually going
to make a difference. What if One of the questions is why am I
alive? Yes, I think it was on your side of the fence at
a certain point on this one, man, what anarchy is coming? What
do these attackers want? Like, you can't have it this way? Don't
care? Don't care. That was such a problem. You know. They
had this this Kevin Sullivan who was excellent, these video packages, and he's
going to do them no matter what, even if the tenor of the storyline
dejor does not call for it at all. There there will be production,
you know, there will be dissolves, there will be between scenes, there
will be stylized backstage vignettes and shots. There will be these production elements,
even if the angle were doing calls for all of that to be thrown away.
So it feels different, you know, nbo man, you felt like
even the production team, who you couldn't even see, but you felt like
the guys in the truck were nervous. Yeah, right, that's what made
it so great. Everyone was scatter shot, things were unpolished. Nobody was
taking the time to like, unless I'm not remembering this well is how it
felt. No one like did a highlight video of the nWo That wouldn't make
any sense. No, maybe they did, and I just don't remember,
but it just didn't feel that way. Why And when you watch Impact,
it just feels like they move, they compartmentalize aces and eights, just like
any other storyline. And that's not how you do something like this. You
have to have the mood of these attackers wash over the whole show. It
doesn't help that they look like a bunch of fat homes people. Don't you
understand He's not interested in telling your wrestling story. He just wants to fucking
yeah, Okay, all right, he want I want to know why Rob
van Dam didn't get the belt back or didn't get a championship shot after he
vacated it for no reason. I want to know what happened there. I
want to know how when mcfoley taking over the I want to know about that
whole thing. Who's Rob van Dam exactly? Um? So they you know,
Tonay and Tasse, both Hogan and Sting where targets of a gang known
as Aces and Eates. Who the hell are these guys? Who is behind
these attacks? What's their motivation targeted by a gang. Yeah again, what
are they? What are they after? Well, what we don't know.
They're just after anarchy. They're sons of anarchy. Really. They show a
still image of Hulk in UM and a Johnny in a shower cap do in
the peace sign after a surgery. That's one thing about TNA man, they
made it. They made fodd or out of every time Hogan went under the
knife, you know, they showed him right and the back surgery they show
him here. They explain how he recently underwent surgery among them for a fractured
pelvist. And everyone here at Impact really wants Hogan to get back here.
They say, get better, Hulk, we need you back in the house.
And they show a screenshot of Hogan's tweet that says Aces and ATE's pay
payback time brothers sign of course. HH great, I'm glad this is wonderful
today's As as far as Sting is concerned, the extent of his injuries is
unknown. Neither is here to night at the Impact, Jone, Sting nor
Hogan. And then they say that in like a silent hush tone. For
some reason, Um, the Aces and Nates later in this program attack Kurt
Angle as well. What's the connection? But right, we just have so
many questions. Um. Later on, Jason Hervey, who now is comfortable
showing his face on camera, asks Bobby Rude if it's him, if he's
the one running the Aces and Aids group, because he seems to be the
one that is talking like he's going to try to make life difficult for whole
Cogan. Um. He of course is blowing off the questions and doesn't want
to hear it, and they hit the ring and attack Austinaries in the main
event as he's wrestling Rude. So this is a this is a note Bishop
strikes six or seven times where you think that where everyone accuses a guy of
being behind the Aces and Eights and then the Aces and Eates attack that guy.
Right, that's the whole gimmick. He does that like four times.
It may maybe three, but here it's Um, it's h Bobby Rude and
Austinari's turn, and eventually they attack Bobby Rude. They drop him when he
offers his hand to the Aces Nates and we realize everybody is behind Aces and
Nights. Of course, when all the revealers, I am too, right,
you know I'm behind Aces. Yeah, well it doesn't sound like you're
behind them at all. I am ahims can roll them up, brother.
Now why this is despositive, I don't know, because everyone who was eventually
revealed, not everyone, but many of the people who were revealed to be
part of Aces and Ates were also attacked by Aces and Eights on television,
just like Bobby Rude was here and James Storm is later after being accused of
running the group. So it's not like you are they are they in Aces
and Eights? Eventually? Who Bobby Rude and James Storm? Oh? And
that's that's what I'm trying to say. I'm telling you that people who do
later get revealed to be part of Aces and Nates are also attacked just like
ruden Storm were. But in ruden Storm's case, it totally proves they're not
behind the Aces and Eights. It's like, if these guys are so Macavellian,
you don't think they could work a scenario where they attack somebody to throw
people sent off the trail, you would say, yes, And in fact
that is exactly what happens in the actual storyline. But in the early days,
that level of a thought. You know why, you know why that
happens because they don't know what the fuck they're doing. Brock Cogan later updates
the announcers via telephone on her father's condition and she was sad and they wished
her the best impact your life. Twenty six Sting comes out says, Hogan's
at home with titanium plates and screws and mesh. Yeah, I got this,
I got this one for you, haces and Ates. Paul Cogan is
at home right now with titanium plates and screws and meshing everything else in a
shattered him, all like your hands. Dixie Corner has asked me to step
in as general manager in place of Paul Cogan, and my first order of
business tonight is to say this Aces and Ates. I'm one man, I'm
alone, and I'm calling you out so exciting. I mean, I'll say,
the only thing I can say about about this is that staying at least
is still great on the promos. Yeah, he's great on the stick.
Yeah they were lying him in a lot of things, you know, but
yeah, that's the way it is. Like when Hogan was a heel,
Bischoff was the one out there that they could just plug in lazily to just
say all the things that needed to be said to get the story right out
there without having to find, you know, ways to actually show instead of
tell the story. And here Sting, now that Hogan's on the face side,
is essentially in the same role say most of the things Sting that we
need said and calls him out. Austin Areas, though, comes out with
the championship and says, I admire your courage, but as you and I
know, when everyone else has seen it's about a numbers game. They jumped
on the world champ and when you do that, you're trying to make a
statement. And I got a statement. If anyone of you shows here tonight,
I'm jumping on you and I'm making a statement. And they're with them.
They like to see Austin Areas stand up like this, He says,
that's a promise angles me punk, Oh for sure. Well they're both from
Chicago first of all. Oh all right, well there you go, and
they're cut from the same wrestling clause and they have the same kind of like
you know, sour plus look on their face. You know, I mean,
that's for sure, Austin Areas. It looks like an absolute grumpy Angle
comes out, says, last week Days, Nate's trying to take away two
things, try to hurt me physically and take away my chance and win the
championship. So Cord Angle wants to fight these suns of bitches too. Bobby
Rude comes out in a suit, hughes there, huge feedback noise from his
MICUs, we're a live bal we are live now impact. It actually got
a good it got. It got a kind of a funny line from from
Austin areas here. I'm not out here to fight anybody. I'm stally not
out here to have your backs. The reason why I'm out here, gentleman,
is to point out the obvious. You see, I know who the
man is behind these attacks. That's what happens when you're out the champ anymore.
Bobby, I say I'm gonna take you. I like that. Yeah,
he's he's grabbed his feet. Doesn't that the mic doesn't working because he's
not a champion anymore. And Kurt, despite you know, hating Bobby Root
and storyline, has to extend the microphone to him. And and so this
is where Bobby Rood goes in. Well, they have a mutual enemy now,
so it's all, you know, we have to put our we have
to put our hatred on the hold so we can get out there and take
care of business. It's pro wrestling for you. So now it's like,
you know, James Storm is behind it. Bobby Rood's making the case of
James Storm is behind these attacks, and they're gonna start trying to prove that.
And Bully Ray says he's not concerned with the aces Nates. They'd be
schmucks to come after me. Angle beats Bubb and the main event on that
show with an Angle slam to score seven points in the ongoing Bound for Glory
Series tournament, which again crowns the number one contended for the championship. On
the big show Bound for Glory, aces Nate hit the ring later on the
show. There's more of them now, and now they have skeleton faces on
their masks. They've already got They've already got uh, you know, an
army. It's like, where's uh. You know, you're not worried about
who the thirteenth and who the third guy is? You want to know who
the thirteenth guy is? So true, the thirtieth guy I mean they're so
indistinct, indistinguishable in the beginning, like, how could we possibly care they're
indistinguishable? Later, God, they look the fucking same. They look like
karate kid villains is what they look. Oh, I mean in their dreams
they do. They swarm on Angle tenasas someone is behind, someone's allowing these
guys to get in and out of the impact zone. So again, just
like the old band days with all in National Sex, it's about access to
the buildings, right. That means you have you know, that means you
know there was something, you know, there was an idea. It's like
they make they make certain things out to be the most important things, and
it's like, that's not what made these kinds of stories important in the past.
What's an example of something they make out to be the most time?
I mean it was, well, like this thing, it's about access,
you know, it's about how someone's letting them in. And it's like,
yeah, but you know, I guess that's part of the problem. Why
are they always in? Why can't they do their business from the outside?

they can get in, they find a way to get in, Then that's
interesting. But in the fact they're just getting in. They could buy tickets
and then go to the fucking can or get a turkey leg and then come
out with this fucking it's all free admission there even better, you know,
it's like there's no you know, they don't they don't, actually they just
it just kind of happens. It's like, I hate I hate it.
I can't stand. It's impossible to get it's so lazy, it's so lazy.
And I guess that's that's where I kind of I really question. It's
not even that Bischov had one idea, it's that where did it? Where
did his idea deteriorate so far, so so much that it sucks like this.
I think he just he forgot the wrong things about why the nWo worked.
He like he wanted to make it like this. He's trying, he's
trying to fold in the lessons he thinks he's learning by selling some reality shows.
You know, I mean, listen, when it comes to reality shows
and when it comes to regular television and wrestling, the only thing the only
thing that you can use from that in terms of the actual lessons from it,
and I'm not talking to like basic storytelling is technical stuff. Yeah,
well that's always his thing. His thing was always who are the announcers?
What does the set look like? That's fine, that's where you can use
from fucking from from from your television shows. But when it comes to actually
telling the story from a wrestling standpoint, and in a wrestling company, you
can't do television. Yeah, you have to make you have to find a
way to blend the sports and the drama, right, that's what makes it
a wrest yourself. Like sports is sport. Sport first presentation is boring old
wrestling, and we're evolved past that. We're telling stories. It's like,
no, the only stories worth telling are the ones that sprout from then.
It's the only way, right, that's the thing. It's the only way
to get to make it all kind of makes sense because otherwise, like I
said, I don't know what these who cares about getting a wrest like invading
a wrestling company, Who fucking cares If you're going to make such a stink
about the fact that they're gaining access, then when they do get access.
Shouldn't there be a hundred uniform security guards swarming these guys right right? Because
if you don't call attention to it, then maybe I would give give you
some license to have that hole in your story. But if you're calling attention
to the fact that it's abundantly clear that this group has been told to not
that they're not allowed in this building. The fact that every time they show
up, everyone just stands there and watches them do whatever the fuck they want
and maybe like six baby faces run out to do something about it is completely
ridiculous, Like they should be fighting cops and stuff, you know, and
would cops out there and that'd be interesting too to see them have to battle
real shit. So um aj and aries make a save for sting later to
a pop, all hell breaks lose. They have the big you know,
bench clearing brawl, if you will, and then James storms music hits and
he hits the ring and starts swinging on them too. So that's supposed to
be the big moment where is he coming out to help bass and eates or
fight them and he fights them and they still don't believe them. They they're
still questions and they're still in his face. They just fucking let it all
happen. It's kind of funny. Pack Dog is second um Stick Sting grills
James Storm. I'm still being a part of Asis Nates. Yeah, because
the thing was when Storm came out and made the save, they didn't try
to attack him, And it's almost like, why why did it take you
so long? Right? Are you just pretending to not be on their side?
That's the pro wrestler mindset for you. You know, here's here's evidence

So West tell's Kurt he's been trained and working hard, and he hopes
to get a chance to show him what he's got. I want to be

He says that to West Briscoe and Kurt Ingles says, what do you doing
to Night and West says he's about to hit the strip club? So,
although, why that had to be in there? You down it out?
Dude? What do you mean, brother? Where are you going? You're
closing the place down? Were you doing? Dude? Hey, let me
just tell you West? Check your gas cap, dude, dude, just
you know what you know? Brother? Maybe Hogan bought this whole thing too,
because he remembered getting in that feud with the bikers that we're gonna put
the gas cap blow them up. So Angel and Storm wrestled each other.
Bully comes out looking around for the intruders as do a garapishof and Devon Storm
wins the match. You get some Mike calls him out. Rude says,
this is a little odd. There's no aces and Eates because you don't need
him. Now you beat Kurt Angle, you didn't need them tonight, So
all of a sudden they don't show up as in that convenient I told you,
Kurt, this is proof that James Storm is behind the Aces and Eates.
You're guilty, James, You're the man behind the attacks. Don't even
try to deny it. The whole world knows it. And at this point,
Bully touch a Storm's arm and Storm throws on him and they have goofy
brawl and they whoa dude, Yeah who brother. It's as if they're fracturing
impact wrestling from the inside out, these Aces and Ates. It's almost as
if I don't give a shit impact. August ninth, Bully comes out to
open with the hook him horns and the chain on his neck and a baseball
cap. I don't know where you got that look from a and it's all
right. So he flexes the calves that was a big thing. He's working
out in his calf muscles. He's losing weight, so he's got to be
a top guy. I love the grandmothers in the audience, Yeah, sure
love these fucking people, These women who are surely dragged there by their fucking
grandsons organically, right, m Bully doesn't interest sure, you know what.
I'm sure one of them is actually named Surely as well, almost without a
doubt. Bully does something interesting. He tweets on his way to the ring

It's funny they say, be careful what you wish for. I didn't wish

in the ring. They shout at each other. Storm tries to super kick
Bully but hits Jeff Hardy, and Bully shouts, it's always been you.
I know it and they know it. Bully bounces and the Nates return,
four of them now and they all do a slow clap behind James Storm,
and Storm turns around like they're clapping for him like a Bravo moment, and
then they deck James Storm as well as the show goes off the air.
So that's supposed to be the closing of the loop and whether James Storm is
behind Aces and Nates check another one off the old list there, boss,
I know you're keeping keeping score. Impact August twenty third, hilarious rip off
of the Suns and Anarchy in the back lot, skulls everywhere and a bunch
of bikes pulling up to the building. It's like the beginning of the show,
the opening of the actual lessons of Anarchy shop and it's like an nWo
thing was this hog. While arriving at the building, Sting comes out with
Kurta and Devon, Jeff Hardy and Bully Ray. We invited them to fight

the ring and they all get jumped by the TENA wrestlers, and then one

it's just very it's a very weird thing going on here. Like I
don't understand why this is, Like you, why we're seeing this guy's face
all of a sudden, I know, and he means nothing for the future.

throwaway backstage moment with a camera trick to mask the fact that Hulk can't throw
a convincing weapons shot. So yeah, Stings fired up. Hogan coming off
the hip surgery loves that that position he's in. Later we go back to
the poker chips and aces and Nate say, well done. You see,
you guys have been wanting to fight all night long, but you see,
we've been playing our game, and in about three minutes and thirty seconds,
the Aces and Eights are going to unleash hell and do what we do best,
and let's give out the dead Man's hand stings and music hits again.
He's coming out again. On the same episode. I can't time for the
threats and the time for warnings is over, Mike Tenay says. The United
locker room is ready to fight. They all stream out again. Where are
you calling you out? No more disappointments, get out here? What about
Hogan? Hogan's not there. He just shows up in the back to swing
a baseball bat and at that, but they're still chanting form. We wait
and wait and wait and listen to we want Hogan chants, and finally that's
all we you listen to. That's it. Maybe we need to do a
Nace's Nates chan or something. Sting says, and they just show up with
their mouths covered and start tussling just like that. It takes about ten minutes
for them to come out. I mean, that's an exaggeration, but you
know what I mean. And when they do come out, there's no explanation
of why it took so long, they just do and they'll start tussling,
and there's hardly any response to this full on brawl breaking out from the crowd.
There's who cares, right, who cares? Everyone doing their best kind
of brawling offense. Anderson says fucker at one point, and they miss the
bleep on that lays into one of them, that makes it over the air.
No idea who these guys are total Jabron's. I mean, I'm saying,
like even trying to assess the shape their body and try to figure out
who they might be under the hoods, no idea. They're probably just dressing
up, you know, the same people they'd cast as like security extras for
now to make this look like a big, voluminous group teams. It's so
stupid. It's just not going anywhere. Every week. It's like, you're
gonna come out. We've had enough this time, and they come out and
fight right, We've always we always have enough. They go, They go
in the back where Hogan is comfortable this week, and he's throwing one of
the aces and Aids into a locker and missus a baseball bat shot. Storm
is battling one back there as well as his AJ styles. It's like the
Last of Us. Like I said, have made that reference a couple of
times where they show, you know, these fucking zombie people show up and
the whole community's got to fight them off. RVD, Aries and Hearty are
just standing in the ring like there's nothing to do while all this fracas is
unfolding. Hogan's choking one with a bat. Backstage, Mike Tenais's Hogan is
in an absolute rage. Aries does the toepay to another one. They're all
dressed like they're in a construction site in early winter, with the hoodies and
the fucking vests over the hoodies just make those vests like orange and it suddenly
looks like a highway construction. It really does. You know, like they
brought their lunch, they got the fucking the coolers. You know that fold
over everything is embarrassing. Um Back to Hogan throwing people around inside the ring.
One of them turns austin Ais inside out with a lariato, and then
the Aces and Ates load a piece of guard rail into the ring. Austin
aias the teenage champ, is surrounded and they hold him down on the rail
from underneath. This is kind of a cool spot. You haven't seen I
haven't seen this before. They kitty corner the rail and then one guy goes
underneath and pulls the guy's arms down and holds him in place. Yeah,
like racking him across the front of the guardrail. And then another rings down
a chair shot to austin Ari's arm. Fortunately this is before whoever has the
bright idea and the creative to arm Aces and Ates with a ball peen hammer.
They walk around digging people in the head with a fucking hammer. They
do that like it's a firearm. Austinary's screaming and wailing and he's suffered an
intreating the arm. And that's pretty good. That's extra violent. Look good.
They're chaining Hogan again. That's all TNA is like he said as a
rolling Hogan chant. At this point, Bully hits the ring and runs them
off as aries ales on the outside. They cut backstage to an incredibly cool
revving of the engines as Aces and Nate's mound up and drive off into the
night on their motorcycles. And the last thing I wonderful. One guy say
Devon's better in the crowd. That was really funny. That was really funny.
Because they're so invested in what happened that they're just heckling bully instead of
appreciating the gravity of the moment. So I'd say a good night for races
and Nate's all told here on this episode of Impact Boss. Yeah just not

just calls him out and uh, it's like okay, yeah, be right
there, pal, that sounds good. And then Hogans music hits and he
comes out with Stinger and the crew. Here we go, Child said at
the beginning of all this craziness. We're only here for support, my brother
about at the end of the day. At the end of the day,
we all are asked one in the impact zone. So if aces and eights
are what they say they are, must have a blood bath, my brother.
And let's see what aces and eights are all about. I want to
see all their faces. Now, yeah, me too, you heard the

Actually, and they all stand in the audience like a bunch of awkward

So the aces nates deliberate and a lead guy lifts his hand and to open
the gate and a big boy steps in against Austin Airies, Aery circles him.
They clinch up Airy's drives shoulders into whom in the corner. This guy
has a chain wallet on and he drops Austin Aries with the right hand.
Aries does the double legg and here we go. They all stream in and
it's a free for all. Pretty good moment, well orchestrated. I like
the way they they kind of unfolded the chaos a little bit. Sure.
Hogan standing around occasionally swinging the bat he brought to the ring, and Aries
drop kicks the big from Mace's and Nates in the corner says he's going to
take his hood off. And then some guy gets up on the apron and
covers his mouth after it's revealed and kind of taps Aris with a gimmick in
his hand, but it was mostly his wrist and Aries is splayed out,
so a mask comes off. We see someone who saw the face, but
we don't see the face, and then Aries gets knocked out and the guy
can obscure his identity again. Bullies around screaming it was that one over there
with the flap jack. So it's Chris Park Musby right, oh my god,
aries doing a really good cell on the mat, snoring like like you
see when a fighter actually gets knocked out in a real fight. With still
with Bellatoor fighters in the front row, by the way, because we're not
going to make a lot of hay out of this on TNH. But the
synergies Boss, between Spike and Bellatore fighting and TNA wrestling are very much in
play. They have fighters on the show every week, and they have the
promoter of Bellatoor doing color commentary and all this shit. Real. Yeah,
yeah, they're trying to They took the principle of you know, the ultimate
fighter coming on after Monday Night Raw in two thousand and five exploded UFC's popularity.
Let's let's go a step further. Instead of putting Bellatour on after wrestling,
let's have Bellatoor guys all over the wrestling, which of course does not
work, and that's how they go off the air. Leaves are starting to
turn. In twenty twelve, it's the September sixth episode of Impact and austin
Arius is in Hulk Hogan's office. Hulk is a new shirt. It has
h on it with a great it's kind of like in gray Scale. He's
got his face on it. Yeah, I'll love that one. There he
is. Harry says, oh this is all bullshit. How many weeks we
have to put up with this? Yeah, I know Austin. I know
first my arm Now in the back of that he and how are these guys
even getting in here? And Hulk says, they're going to be accountable.
You've got a target on your back. You're our champ, you're our star.
That's why it happened. The little guy who tried to kill you from
Aces and Eates, he was on the payroll. Hulk reveals the guy that
hit Austin areas with the hammer, he was just the flapjack. Rather,
he was a guy who was pulling cables for the handheld. They're talking about
production now, they're referencing equipment. So basically, he says, Assnates put
this guy here just to take you out exclusively. So this isn't a real
Asis and Nates member. This is a guy who took a payoff who was
on the TNA production crew. And we just know this because Hulk just says
it. It's not like they reveal it or anything. The fuck what the
absolute fun ass and Nates had to pay off a cameraman to knock out Austin
areas, That's what I hear. But it was the big guy, Hulk
says that came through the crowd and fought you. That we need to find
out who he is, who the rest of Asis and Nates are, because
they're trying to steal the deal and ruin this company. Steal and ruin this
company. Right, I'm thinking a big guy trying to steal and ruin this
company, you say, Brother Folk says, we're going to get answers.
I pulled the records. He says. This guy is spending way too much
time with attorneys. I mean, he really is starting to admire attorneys.
Is what's happening? Yes, he says, the little guy, he's going

the big guy who's running this whole scam on us? Hmmm, who's running

so Hogan here reveals that not only did he find out that the guy
who knocked out Austinaries was this paid production crew member. But also he has
somehow gotten his hands on this guy and has him tied up for Austinaris to
interrogate and think this guy's gonna offer up info, and Hulks says, do
me a favor, break his legs old school style as long as I have
your permission. Austin Ary says, to do what I have to do,
and Hulks says, break both of them, okay, and then Austinari says,
I hope he only has two. I don't know how many more legs
he could have, but I mean I guess yeah, Aces and Ates found
a four legged man and to attack you, I mean, hey, that'd
be pretty fascinating. That would be to waste. That would be pretty crazy.
Later, Hulk is in a meeting and he needs someone leading Hulk.
By the way, despite being totally undersieged by the Aces and Aids and completely
freaked out by the fact that they approached his daughter, he still has time
during all these impacts to administrate all the other divisions in the company and argue
with the tag team title contenders, and argue with the X division title contenders,
and deal with Joseph Park. Although that's kind of asis and aids adjacent.
You could argue it's so stupid, like he just steps into like ten
different skins. It's like why who what? What are you looking at on
paper that's telling you that Hulk Hogan needs to be in every other segment of
the show, Like where is the evidence for that? But where isn't the
evidence? Brother? What? What do you what? I didn't mean to
suggest anything, Terry. I don't have any I don't have any evidence in
my possession. Were you been, dude? Well, I've been a lot

the same concerns right now, the Aces and Eights. I know you spoke
with Hogan and Staying last week trying to find some stuff out. Did you
find out anything? Bully Ray is really interested in what it is that Joseph
Park is finding out about this group. N He's got things going on.
Mark says, are you familiar with at Tourney client privilege? Hogan and Staying
told me to do my investigation. They hired me to do it. But
I don't see where it's much any of your business. He tells Bully Ray,
I'll be getting back to Holkan Sting when I find out what's going on,
and Bully backs offices. That's fine. I'm just telling you be careful

careful, brother. So here is the guy being held hostage backstage, and
Austin Ais walks in and says, you're gonna answer some questions for me.

got no loyalty, or we can do this, and he takes off his
jacket and slaps him in the face and says, because no one's here to
say save you right now. You work with tools and cables. Well,
he works with tools. We know that familiar with these. He takes out
a pair of pliers, and of course the way he says that in the
Chicago accent, he's his players, players. Um. He grabs the tongue
of this fucking poor guy, this this grip. He grabs his tongue almost
with the fucking pliers Who's running the deal? He says to him, who's
running the deal? God, isn't that that the most wrestling way to put
it? Yes, who's running the deal? And then uh, Hogan bust
in. He goes, Champion Chip, whoa brother and your finest hour?
That's not the deal. You and I cut brother. We said I would
get a little piece of him, but you know I can go this far.
And then uh, he says, two's a party and three's a bitch,
and he paintbrushes him. Hogan gets a shot in and this poor bitch
as well. What he's talking about is play day compared to what you're in
for. My man, you've boxed in my daughter, corner her with the
rest of your thugs, and for that, my friend and I for an
eye. And he's about to do something to him, and then his phone
rings. Terry's phone rings, and he answers and he goes, oh,
a VP of Asis and Eights is on the phone. Oh yeah, I
want to talk. You want to play? We'll play? No, no,
I don't. I'm glad this motorcycle group has a vice president. By
the way, do they have a chief financial officer? Do they have a
chief diversity officer. Do they have a chief people officer? Do they have
a chief brand? If I ever asked Eric bisch Off, a question is
going to be who is the chief diversity officer of Aces and Nates? The
questions these are the questions. Ari's whispers, I want to play with the
guy who broke my arm, Hogan says, Or you want this piece of
crap back, the arm breaker, send him down alone and we'll make a
trade in good faith the armbreaker. Right by the end of the show,
the armbreaker, my champ gets him this Sunday at no Surrender and blah blah
blah blah blah. We're gonna take good care of this piece of crap.
Or to let him live, Hogan says to the guy on the phone,
until you show your face. If not, I can't guarantee anything. So
Hogan's going to murder him. Then he hangs out and he says, Austin
Airius, he's all yours brother, and he gives him a slap. The
Aces Nates guy. Let him live, he tells Austin Airis until the end
of the show. There's a reason stay tuned. Will this guy fucking die?
What's wrong with that it sounds so heavy, but when you're watching it
busts, so it's awful. It's awful awful how I mean if people haven't
seen it, Like what what visually is happening to you watching this revulsion?
Yeah? I said, why does it miss the mark? Like, is
there a way to do this that doesn't miss the marker? Is it's just
completely a hopeless concept for wrestling in the first place. I mean, it's
stupid. You shouldn't you shouldn't be doing this kind of shit, all right,
Like what the fuck? This is so like torture essentially, and like,
right, it's so bad to get these guys to show their face,
I mean right, and then after this intense here's the thing, you know
what, you know what you should be doing? Calling the police, you
know, calling something like this is not a hard thing to deal with at
this point, Like, as a TENA fan, I could only reach one
conclusion that actually TNA has no problem with these guys being in the building every
week. I mean, that's really what it is, because not only do
they have access to the building, they also have access to the feed because
their propaganda keeps playing on my TV show. They don't fucking care like slightly
produced. Yep, this is before the iPhone could make videos of this quality,
so I know these guys are dealing with high end equipment. Right and
after that, after sanctioning potential murder for this fucking nobody, this guy who
runs a camera from New York helped gets back involved in the tag title drama
between Daniels and Kazarian. They retained over her name. This is a This
is as convoluted as it was in twenty ten. It's worse where they're dealing
with way too much shit and like, honest to god, if I were,
if I were in charge, if you're actually if if there's an actual
threat like this, tag titles don't matter, nothing matter. Titles don't matter.
Right, you have to you have to talk about You have to be
concerned about the safety of not only the people that work for you, but
also the fans. Yes, because you do not know. Just stand there
and laugh at the aids every time they come out in their Halloween You don't
know. If these guys your threats are not right to the people, just
t and A just not that would be that would be fascinating television. What's
that the idea that we don't actually know if these people, if our fans
are safe. Yeah, yeah, that would be I mean, that would
be very interesting. Yeah, just like do anti impact zones. You know,
for like three weeks. It doesn't like like you're sacrificing any money or
anything, right, and you'll really get people hungry to come in finally,
and when they do get in, they're gonna shiittle over. You know,
they're gonna be that much more heated, Nates, that much less apathetic.
I like it. I like it better than one they came up with.
It's just tenac. It has this aura of not seriousness. It can't pull
off an angle like this because it's not there's no serious version of impact that
these guys are disrupting. It's always this kind of light and airy and overproduced
and stupid and goofy and derivative and w W light fields everything. You know.
It's just there was no there was nothing sacred for Aces Nates to violate
in the first place, right, you know, they just show up and
like a gang of wrestlers attack them. Right. So, later in the
show, Daniels and Kazarian retained the tag belts over Hernandez and Chavo Guerrero and
they say this Sunday, the guy's match against Aj and Kurt for the titles
is going to be the match. So that's not good news for Daniels and
Kazarian. That's hull Cogan who delivers that message again. He's got the time
to do this. So later in this program, Austin brings out the guy
they had kidnapped, and he's handcuffed and on his knees and says, I
was more than happy to be the information out of you, but it seems
like you hold some kind of value to the Aces and Ates, So I
want the guy who tried to break my arm for an exchange for this guy.
And Ari says, I'm done getting railroaded from behind, brother, what's
up boss? And then he goes, is this mic working? You know?
My patience is about wearing thin? And he throws him in the corner,
barks at him, says, no one's here to save you, grabs
his hair and slaps him, grabs his hair and gets in his face,
and he says, I want everyone to hear this. He grabs the mic
and then a guy grabs him and pulls him out with a hammer. In
his hand. Oh Jesus, and the guy melts the skinny guy with a
right hand and Aries does a suicide dive on him. So the Aces and
Hates guy that saved the skinny guy then punched the skinny guy in the face
and knocked him out. Austin's problem. Austin dives on the guy. This
is the armbreaker guy, we're told, the guy who smashed the chair in
his arm. And yeah, we know this because Tas calls the Aces and
Eights armbreaker guy, and that's how we go off the air. This just
keeps getting better. Impact septet huh impact septe Yes, Aries is fighting hard,
he's involved. They call the cops and say lock every damn entrance,
so that both who cares? Like here this is this is the other issue
with this. Nothing is progressing. Nothing is progressing. That's right, Like,
this is the same thing that's happened every single fucking week on the show.
You don't realize it until you go back, like we're doing it because
because you know week to week, you kind of can hide it. I
feel like a little bit, you know, yeah, because you're probably forgetting
something. You've probably forgotten most of what happened the week before. The patterns
aren't as apparent because you're not watching a show after show, But when you
watch it, when you binge it like this, you're like, this is
the exact same rhythm, every show same and it's just they switch the characters
around and make it seem like something new, but it's the same angle it.
They hardly switch the characters around. They hardly do, that's true.
So Aris comes out and welcomes his Bound for Glory opponent. It is Jeff
Hardy. Jeff Hardy has won the Bound for Glory steeries and he's gonna get
a world title shot a Bound for Glory in twenty twelve. He says,

ran Ran Bully comes out says you're lucky, and you're luck. Bully's pissed
that. Uh. Jeff Hardy ended up being the one to win the Bound
for Glory series and get the title shot. Later, they show christ is
this now? What's that? What week is this now? This show is
September thirteenth. So Chris Daniels is in Hulk Coogan's chair in the office with
a pick of Hulk. Uh. He's shaking the picture of Hulk Coogan like
he's pantomiming with it. And then Kaz comes into the Hulkamania's shirt and says,
does this shirt say respect or suck up Daniels because he's going to press
Huxter. Hulk walks in, whoa, whoa brother? No, go ahead,
brother, put your feet back up on my desk. No problem,
I do all the time. He tells Chris Daniels, what's the diesel?
Brother? He's got an apple tini for health teeny boss, apple tiny for
Brook tiny. What are you scoring? He takes a sip and he goes
that sounds like ghastline. No wonder you guys are on fire out there.
I know about walking that edge. No substitute for victory. Do whatever you
have to do to get wins. But two teams digging that, dude,
I'm digging it, brother. Oh, he's digging Daniels and Kaz for sure.
He says, two teams deserve a rematch. Put him in a singles

When I think back about three grueling months of a tournament and twelve superhero
superstars, it just blows my mind how intense that series was. He's seeing
all this to hardly any response from the crowd, But you got to understand
the creatures of the night come out on top. He wiggled his fingers,
and when he said that, you got to understand Jeff Hardy dances to a
different energy. He's not from this planet, man, He's from a whole
other solar system, a whole other universe. And I'm not saying I understand

it is kind of It's just kind of jarring for a company that always wants
to show you everything that happens, right, you know, I get that

I know the rules, you know, I don't mind playing Aces and Nates.
And when you talk about baiting the hook, there's more terryisms. Oh
what's like? Honestly, like what happens? He's like I one of the
great promos, you know, like one of the great guys who could get
a going across a great story. And he's just a cartoon, yes,
like not a good one. Like he's just a voice machine. He's like

be about it. And actually like make your whole show feel like this is
how it would feel if this actually happened, because also think about it,

idea. Don't do this at all the stage, what are you doing anyway?
Like, what's the point of this of him being kidnapped? It doesn't
serve a purpose, so it doesn't it Ultimately it goes nowhere, right And
Hogan, it's just standing there watching the video as people boo like a Jerry
Springer crowd. They're not booing like they're really mad at Aces and Eates for
doing what they just did on video to Joseph Park. They're not. They're

next week, and then boom right onto a video about actually he might want

pay per view It just makes no sense, like like there's no there's no
real concern and and and it's you know, and you kind of you know

TV producers instead of wrestling bookers. It's just like they're all trying to like
win awards in their own head for like the way they lit the scene.
I mean, folks, just accept what you are that's the biggest problem.
It really is people totally. They're taking risks in all the wrong areas because
they they have they they seek the validation of people who don't want to validate
correct Like, you're not going to be seen as a legitimate producer. So
can we at least have a believable wrestling show in exchange? Can you just
focus on the wrestling four hundred and fifty grand a year? But they want
to be something beyond it, like they're opportunity in front of their just a
springboard to the next tussle. It's never right worth the undivided attention. It's
never like, hey, guess what. This is the end of the line,
man, this is this is your peace, This is where you belong.

swinging and smiling and cupping, not worried at all about Joseph Barks playing

Wrestling is definitely a turning point for this company, because Bound for Glory is
just three stink and wakes away. Brother, I've been just a little distracted
as of late. Business at hand. This is Championship Thursday, the business
at hand. In other words, let's completely take this moment to compartmentalize the
storyline that I care most about and am so emotional about and ready to kill
somebody over just so I can make some matches here for a moment, says
The TV title hangs in the balance because it is announced on this episode of
Impact that Devon Dudley has been stripped of the TENA Television Championship that he's held
pretty much since its entire inception as a belt. And as far as I
can tell, it was a legitimate parting of the ways between TENA Wrestling and
Devon Dudley just three weeks out from Bound for Glory, whereas contract came due
and they didn't renew him. Now, as we know, and as we've
already forecast, he will re emerge in short order. But and I'm not
sure he's ever really specified. He did do interviews at the time confirming that
he was no longer with TNA, didn't have a contract anymore. And they
did say this on television and it comes out of nowhere, but I haven't
heard him say sort of after the fact, all these years later, kind
of thing looking back, that you know, it was crazy that I ended
up getting this huge opportunity in Aces and Eights when just you know, a
couple of weeks before this, I didn't have a contract. Is it starting
to ring a bell where like the key player and the key storyline heading into
the key part of the year is not locked up contractually and fucking bounces here
we go. This case, they got him back, though, unless the
whole his contract expired. Was Kabe to try to get the Aces and eights
reveal it down for glory over That is possible, and I'd love if someone
out there in the Solar system could run down anything anybody's ever said about closing
that loop. But I mean, that would be an absolutely tremendous attempt to
But I don't think they had that in them. It's what he did with
Brian Pillman, and that's how he lost him in WWF was right. He
was so Bischoff, that is so dedicated to selling to the locker room that
Pillman's contract was up, or that he was going to release Brian Pillman because
he was such a fucking maniac to get the loose cannon gimmick over that he
was doing an ECW that he actually went ahead and faxed him or whatever sent
him a legal release paper that Pillman signed and executed and made totally valid,
and he fucking went to WWF. He worked Bischoff in the end, who
thought he was just you know, keeping up this. I know we've talked
about it was was that the did he have an intentions to to leave the
company or did it? Did it just kind of all hap Pillman? Yeah,
Yeah, they made a huge offer and they kept the offer on the
table after he shattered his ankle in the car accident. No, no,
I know, but like did he I know that that's what happened. But
was that why he asked for his release? Was he? Yes? Yes,
he claimed that he did that all that with the intent of getting out
of his contract early. Wow, he'd be able to take tighten up on
their offer. That's your damn right, mankind of a nice CounterPunch to the
lex Luger leaves yeah and shows up on the first Nitro yep, amazing stuff.
And Bischoff was so in his own head about working the boys. Is
that being like the peak achievement you can achieve in wrestling is manipulate your employees
into believing something. You know a lot that never believes anything. And he
went, he'd worked himself into a shoot. You know, he lost Brian
Pillman. I'm sure he told himself didn't want him, but right there was
a headca you know, he was a headcase. So yeah, is it
in Bischoff's resume to indicate that maybe they work the Devon contract thing? Maybe?
Yeah, I mean there's there's more reason to believe to entertain the possibility
with Bishoff at the Helm than with others at the Helm, I would say,
but I'm not sure that's ever been settled one way or the other.
And people just don't care enough about this angle to ever ask Divon about it,
as far as I can tell um. So then they show um that
he picked some mooa Joe and Garrett Bischoff and Magnus and mister Kennedy, all
these guys to defend him, or rather to get involved in a match to
determine who's going to be the new television champion. He guarantees a new television
champion as Hulk Hogan, and he said that Bobby Rude, James Storm Debacco
has been spinning out of control. So to straighten this thing out, I'm
going to have these two in a street fight. It bound for glory,
and I'm bringing in a special enforcer, and that's a man. Hogan says
that he'll snap, crackle, and pop all your bones. The MMA champion
King Mo King Mo Lawal, who was fighting for Bellator at the time.
It was a huge pro wrestling fan growing up, starting with Sting versus Rick
Flair at the first clash of the champions. As a matter of fact,
is coming in to up interest clearly because he was so exhausted from you know,
it's just like this, I don't know that I've seen. I guess
we probably have, but I think maybe because it's been it's been miss after
miss after well, I think because it's been so you know, we've watched
two years worth really three years of just Hogan segments, by the way,
right, and not even all of those, right, and we hate it
and we just haven't seen a single thing that, oh, this is something
is turning this company around, not the spark of hope anywhere. It's just
miss after miss. It's just like underwhelming announcement after underwhelming announcement. It's not
all cast a failure, but it's just like, guys like, this isn't
this doesn't feel fresh, This doesn't feel like anything different than what we just
didn't watch last week. According to the numbers, especially as we talked about
in twenty twelve, there is no denying and the second half of twenty twelve
that ratings really fell off a cliff and they struggled to get above a one.

the shift of the you know, traditional start time. You can point to
the fact and someone message does this which I hadn't realized that Apparently sometime in
twenty twelve Spike lost to clearance on some satellite systems, maybe even UM Direct
TV. I think I had Direct TV at the time, and I don't
remever recall having any issue watching Impact, but maybe I got my timelines mixed
up a bit. Nonetheless, they may have lost penetration, thus more difficulty
those old numbers. But again hit three million on that first Impact penetration,

do something for them. They have whoever that bloodied mouth guy was that we
never saw again. They have this woman who they never really explain how they
got production crew members to be involved, because because like you know, Devon
doesn't really have in with the crew, does he. I don't know,

They said he was a freelancer, which is probably their way of saying,
like, you know, he has no particular loyalty to TNA and he just
goes to the highest bidder. It might be a sly little way to knock
the independent contractor nature of wrestlers as well, perhaps, But I don't know,
man, I don't know to tell you. The woman who maced them
was Leava Bates. She went on to wrestle. She was a a w
for a while, and she was recently on a w's Unrestricted podcast and recalled
this about this moment. TNA called and said they would like me to do
a little segment for us with Ace's Nates. I said, okay. I
got there and they said I was going to Mace stinging Hulk Coogan in the
face. Eric Bischoff was directing the scene. Okay, Bischoff was directing this.
I'd invite you to he Oh, you know, can I tell you
something. He's sitting there behind camera and he's got his hand in his fucking
cock and he is so happy. They said, we need you to sign
these forms. We took two takes. They had two separate cans of mace,
and the first take, the acting was fine, but they didn't get
the boys jumping them right. They said they were going to do a second
take. They gave me the other can. She's saying, tell fake.
By the way, the first time, the first time I sprayed them in
the face, it was just water in a mace can. But for the
second time, Hogan told me to make sure you really get it in my
eyes, to look wheel, Are you serious? I said, okay.
They gave me the second can. I sprayed him in the face and they
jumped him. At the end of the take, Hogan was like, oh
my gosh, there was actually pepper spray in that can. You Apparently they
didn't clean up the bottle very well and there was some pepper spray in the
can of water. It was deluded, but it was still there and his
eyes were burning. Okay, leave a couple of things. First of all,
there was no pepper spray in the can. We're talking about whole Cogan.
Okay, sniffed an opportunity to have a story to tell and he took
it. There's nothing in the can. Second of all, if there was
something in the can, what the fuck are you using actual mace cans for?
I mean, seriously, just get some fucking you know, get some
whatever aerosol, Kike, you know, get a woden an empty bottle of
wooden decks. I don't know, Like please, Okay, it wasn't mace.
They didn't buy mace and empty it out and then hope that filling it
with water. What would be uh sufficient to protect hull Coogan? I mean,
okay, if that did happen, then I'm wrong. But that's fucking
stupid. Okay, that's beyond stupid. Oh my god, you actually caught
me with that thing, just like the Undertaker actually hurt me with the tombstone
at Survivor series. Brother, he actually broke my arm. I might have,
right, I couldn't. I have no feeling in my fingers. I
might have to sue you, dude, not to my lawyer. Brother.
Wait a minute, what do you what's hold on? All? Right?
So that's what happens there? Okay? Um, they get spray painted,
and after that happens, the Aces Andnates attack them, throw hoods over their
heads, staying in Hogan, and load them into the back of the bang
bus and away they go, I saw the graffiti on the on the ceiling
um, So yeah, wait, are you serious? Is that what you
say? Oh? God? So they abduct just like remember in Samoa,
Joe was kidnapped and we never got an explanation that impact all those years ago.
Now what happens to Hogan and Stag and they have. It's funny because
they can't really throw Hogan in the back of the vans. He's kind of
still walk in there. Did they go? They promised to take plenty of
pictures as they close the doors, and all Mike to Nakan say is we're
going to endeavor to stay on top of this breaking story. Well, I'm
going to endeavor to correct see choice of words, Mike. Later they're in
the back with hoods on, coughing, staying in Hogan because of the pepper
spray. The hoods are lifted and Hulk looked like he's unfetanel and they're told
the boss They're told the boss Man is on his way, which definitely gets
Hogan concerned because he thought you put that threat in their rear view mirror decades
dude, what's going on? And then welcome to the sitdown, boys and
Hulk makes a face. Now they're back at the table, and the voice
says Batman and Robin Butch, Cassidy and the Sun Dance Kid. I gotta
tell you, is it Nash, It's Eric Bischoff, oh man. And
you could hear it only now, because you know we have hours and hours
of him doing a podcast. We know that the subtle inflections of his voice.
Back then, all we really had was Bischoff scream and a promo in
the ring on a microphone, and it's not I'm not sure you'd be able
to pick up in twenty twelve if this was Eric Bischoff's voice like you can
today, But there is no mistaking it when you hear it today. And
so he's just like going back and thinking, want shit, I don't know
what happened ww and now is there? Well Ollie Anderson voiced the Black Scorpion.
Maybe I'll do that. And I'm wondering, boss, if, in
fact the Devon contractual situation was a late stage correction and maybe even I don't
know. To keep Divon in the company, they sweeten the pop by saying,
all right, fine, not only will we bring you back, but
we'll put you right in the middle of this main event storyline and you'll be
the big room. Wow, would Bischoff have been behind the Aces and eights
at a certain point because this character here in this moment is presented as the
Haunt show and we only hear Bischoff voice over an aces and eight's character once
as far as I know, and it's this segment and where the thing goes.
It ends up having nothing to do with Eric Bischoff. When we said
he left television getting thrown in the commode last time, that was the last
time he was on TNA television. But if you don't count this, first
of all, if you don't count this, but I'm willing to entertain,
that's a crazy thought because all it ever is is Hogan verse Bischoff and or
Hogan and Bishof together. That's the only storyline TNA has had since January twenty
ten, realistically, And if there seems to be another storyline, it ends
up being related to that power struggle or lack thereof. So I mean,
if perish the thought that Bishof even entertained for a second, I hope this
is just something where they needed a guy to voice it over, you know
what I mean? Now if he thought for a second he was going to
come back and be the higher power like Vince in nineteen ninety nine. Nope,
I'm not believe it. I not believe it. Close the fucking impact
zone at that point, as far as I'm concerned, condemned the building.
But here he is. This is Bischoff. Bischoff was the Ace and the
eighth Batman and Robin Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. I gotta tell you
what, metaphorically speaking, you guys are just so predictable. Who are you?

line at Bound for Glory, flux of what a You're gonna pay for this
show? No, Hogan's ready never This is the I mean, look,

on the line, So yeah, just a different threat. It's different this

I mean, Jesus Christ, Hey, I wish the mayor of Brooklyn Park.
Right. Do you want to point a state agency the overseas? Let
me ask you what's in it for you? Are you interested in working for
the departing Parks Recreation hold signs for me, terry of fighting? Are you
all about here? Here's a thing are you about? Grassroots campaign? And
by grass I mean marijuana, which I've done it, I've done. I've
eaten marijuana, I drank. I drank marijuana and I ate alcohol. Is
you Aces and eight alcohol? Hey? You know why Ace and I aided
alcohol? I aced and I ate it. I finally you ated something said
it made it worse. Huck Chelf goes ha, haha, you don't trust
us, You've got something to worry about. And then one of the guys
clicks a thing that makes us smoking, that sends up smoke, and it
looks like they're gonna burn Joseph Parks with something like scald him. Don't forget
all those years ago what Abyss was going ape shit and ripped rob and damn
to smithereens with that studded board. Remember he also just took a random guy
from the production team and strapped them to a table and branded his skin and
nothing happened, No one found the guy, Abyss suffered no consequences. We
just don't see the problem, and they move on. They move on from
this incredibly tense moment where Hulk fucking Hogan is fucking kidnapped, but we got
matches to get to. There's no timber in the announcer's voice. There's no
change and you know tone, there's nothing to acknowledge that what we saw would
even really happened. Yeah, they're a bit somber when they come back from
commercial and replay everything and to natalks up how Bound for Glories our biggest pay
per view of the year, in the future of Vases and etangs and the
balance, and there's more into the steps than the fact that Hogan and Sting
are kidnapped. Somewhere he's he's more into the stipulations of the match than he
is the fact that Hogan and Sing are kidnapped. There's like an assumption they're
going to be let go. It's like, until we have confirmation of that,
these guys should be thinking of nothing else. Right then to name moves
to what else we have in store for you and Phoenix when we go there
for Around for Glory and the world title matches just pathetic, Just a pathetic
lack of follow up at the end of the show. They um at the
end of the day to day, they had load Sting and Hogan with the
hoods on at the at the Impact zone, they take the hoods off and
Sting coils to fight them and and they have to be reminded by Hulk Cogan.
He has to be reminded not to do that because they'll hurt park Um.
Sting says, we're gonna find our best and and we're coming for you.
Hogan's hair is all frizzy from being under the hood and on the side
it's like sticking out. It looks great. Um, where are you then?
Ye? Where did you? Where did you take us? Like you
imagine driving Hulk Cogan around with a blindfold on. He would he would convulse
in the backseat, not knowing where it was going, absolutely no question and
awaits him when when the engine turns off. So Sting says he's coming to
bound for glory and he's bringing somebody with him. Hogan's like, get me
untied, and as soon as he is, Hulk falls behind Sting and that's
the end of this episode of Impact, Thank god. October fourth, Hogan
and Sting in the office tell Sting, you're leading the charge works for me.
I just wish I could be there. We've got to play by the
rules. Everything we work for disappears off Aces and Nates wins. If they
get inside TNA, this could take forever. You've got to put a bullet
in him, he says. Sting says everyone's approaching him to be part of
this match. Says he's gonna watch every match tonight to see who's going to
be his teammate. A bound for glory, Hogan says, everyone in the
roster feels the same way you do. They want Aces and Nate's gone for
good? Yeah, me too. Can I put my hand up for that?
Yeah? Seriously? Can we Can we do that? Now? We
need someone with a killer instinct. Stings says, if you see something,
buzz me on it. A lot a cell phone conversations in TNA at this
point in time, as we've talked about, Hogan says, I got your
back. Ever hear that before, and he nods Stings backstage talk a lot
of different candidates, card angle among what's that but a lot of back surgery?
Yeah, so things bad about his back, about being back about back
on track about surgeries on the back eating baby Bully walks up to them,
This is Sting talking to Angle back stage. He says, you and everyone
else knows I should be in the world title match. It bound for glory,
but I'm not because the Aces and Ate screwed everything up for me.
I want them worse than anybody else does. What do I have to do,
Sting to convince you that I should be your patna in that match?
Sting says, if you want that more than anything else, make something happen

about Bruce Pritchard backstage with Elo Brown, both in polos i um and a
tablet. Bruce Bruce Pritchard has a tablet in his hand. I don't even
I mean, it's this whole thing they're doing is so fucking so. He's
got He's got footage from a recent live TENA event, a house show in
which Matt Morgan jumps in after match and kicks one of the wrestlers in the
face, and Pritchard asked Elo when was the last time Matt Morgan was in
TENA ring? And Delo has to answer is an agent five months and it
says, why is Matt Morgan doing this? Dealo says, I have no
clue. Prichard says it did have a clue because right before this there's footage
of you throw with security throwing him out of the building, so you knew
he was there. Where the hell were you? Then in the backplane video
games, he says to Delo Brown, I'm right to the live event.
Delo responds, I didn't realize he had gone back out there to the ring.
Richard says, you're doing a hell of a job. This cannot happen
again. So Dilo Brown taking his eye off the ball man, there's his
his head at what's he focused on? Probably anything but this Hogan with papers,
saying everyone's got an edge tonight. I already he's not. He never
came into na Yeah. Sting tries to take paper and Hogan slaps the hand
and goes, you've got to hear uh something first. Sting wants to watch
Bully before he decides who his opponent's going to be. Hogan's got to shoot
of paper that he's been circling and crossing out to decide who would be best
suited to help Sting it down for glory, and then Hogan Um says to
sting Or a leopard doesn't change his spots. Visaf he bully Ray. We
get a replay in Sepia tones of what happened to Joseph Park last week and
now he's still in captivity. A week later, there he is, and
they got the fucking things. You know, what do you call him the
clamps for the battery, the car battery? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah, the right that you mean for the to jump the car.
Yeah, jumper cables, jumper cables, but the things on the end with
the teeth on him. Yeah, sure, I mean that's part of the
john. I don't know if that's actually called, but I know that's part
of I think of that as being the jumper cables. Things are sparking.
Okay, they're gonna fucking hook abyss up to this apparently, Yeah, but

mister Hogan. I'm sorry. As you see here, mister Park is just

to see which two of you are going to face the Aces and Eights.
When I pose the question here to the Brotherhood, I don't have to look
very far to see who's going to volunteer. You see, we are all
ready to die for the Brotherhood, mister Hogan, can you say the same
thing in ten days where we're to reveal who you two, who our two
guys are? And they rip open Abyss's shirt which is soaking wet, and
his wet tits are everywhere, and he starts screaming and convulsing as they're apparently
going to shock with a car battery after dousing him in water. Most problem,
what does Mike Tenay say about this when they cut to him, Wow,
what could you? I mean, Come on, that's as much as
you can. That's about it the end of the show. Tenay's this is
going to be one of the most important decisions that staying in our general manager,
Whole Coke and ever will make, because the possibility exists that aces and
AIDS can be eliminated at Bound for Glory if they make the right pick.
So they walk out, calm and acknowledging all the people and pointing and doing
the things you do at an autograph session, even though Abyss is being electrocuted
somewhere. Hogan gets on the microphone and says, well to say, Aces
and Aids has been running rough shot as a little bit of an understatement,
man, we're going to play by their rules. They've got Joseph Park and
we've got something set for bound for glory. That's always worried about, like
that, what's happened to Joseph Parks, but what it means for the rules
of how they can return fire that they're doing going this far to Joseph Park.
But at the end of the day, can't help but think how personal
this whole thing is getting Stings had his run ins. The talent and the
back had their run ins. But at the end of the day, to
single me out, brother, this is more than personal. And you want
me to watch, while I will watch. But the man in the trenches
you're going to have to worry about is the Stingman. We did not pause
enough when he said Stingman the first time. We really we didn't. And
he keeps doing it what does he think he's got here? Really inappropriate?

even and even weapons matches, even like hardcore matches. It doesn't work because
you because you don't even want to see webb. You want to see like
a crazy ass fist fight and happen in wrestling, oh, because they're about
gang warfare. They're about like yeah, it doesn't work the other way either.
It never worked for me to have like you know, like street gangs,
like inner city street gangs like Crips and Bloods represented wrestling. That never
works for me, right, No, No, I agree, can't because
those you know, like gangs are about knifing people and shooting people with guns.
Right, there's no reason. First of all, the people in these
gangs should know how to do arm bars and shit like that's absurd enough on
its face that they know wrestling technique in addition to being gang members, but
further than that, just the kind of reason that those gangs have aura about
them and have emit a sense of dangers because they kill motherfuckers. They don't
just supplex them. They don't just crush their arms with a chair or ding
them over the head with a stupid little kid's ham or toy. They kill
motherfuckers and leave them bleeding out right right. And if you're not going to
go there, which you shouldn't, just don't even touch that in wrestling.
It's almost like people who get involved in that should never become pro wrestlers.
That's what the bookers should be telling themselves. It just doesn't make any sense
to bridge those two worlds. Yeah, you know, the reason you become
a gang members because you fucking can't make it as a pro wrestler or star
in your own right. I know Johnnykinine who wrestled for Smoky Mountain and was
like one of the most notorious biker gang members in Canada and went down in
a fucking hail of gang related gunfire glory and blew up a police station,
or was implicated in such It's a great colorful story. But the guy who
went nowhere in wrestling, and he was as real as it got in terms
of biker badass, as real as it got, boring, kind of entertaining,
no career really to speak of. I mean, come on, folks,
what are we doing here? Yeah? What are we doing here?
Well, Holts wants you to know that everyone has the same vibes about Aces
and Nates, Angles, Angle wants to rip and limb from limb. Joe
feels the exact same way. Even Bully, who comes out here every week
and says do you know who I am? Holgan starts to mock Bully around
this time for saying do you know who I am? Hulk? I'd be
careful about that, because there's no shortage of things we could call you out
for saying every week as well. These are all people lobbying to team with
Sting. But at the end of the day, there's another one, Terry
that was number five or six. We need someone who can get the job
done, someone, Hulks says, who can deliver not one, but two
might checks here. I think I got this one for you too. Well,
the same has has been running roughshot around the impact zone is just a
little bit of an understatements. But you know what, we're to play by
their rules. You know, they've got Joseph Park and we've got everything set
for bound for glory. But at the end of the day, I can't
help. I can't personal. This whole thing is getting between me and aces

we need somebody three times in this prom when it needs to be done.

little bit of a situation since last Impact Stay mind, you know aces and
eights. I'm not a good card player, but I don't know if you
call it six or seven aces or a full hand aces and ates back to
the ind a corner that I kind of deal with these guys. And my
man here, the man that keeps it right in Impact Wrestling, the maid
of the Icon Stay is getting in that ring, brother, and he's getting
that in that ring. And I'm gonna have to watch as he fights to
keep aces and eights out of this company. The whole gan on. He
tell you something to know. The thing is we don't care about that.
I'm pissed off two that Aces and Eights. We gotta live by their rules,
and the rules say that you have to watch it bout for glory.
Last week they took out our first choice Anderson, but then Bully stepped up
to the plate. And now you and a you gotta run with it.
Well you don't staying the way this goes is now that even back to the
corner, and I gotta watch this go down to keep Aces and out of
this company. I guess I guess you could say we had to make a
deal with the devil. Brother, I guess you could say. I guess
you could say. And then Daniels and Kazarian, Oh, I'm so sick.
They're so annoying your favorite superheroes solved the mystery here, Hulk, He
says, let me tell you something, brother, we're days away from bound
for Glory, but we could still write the ship of all the people in
the Impact locker room to pick you pick the most untrustworthy son of I'm not
going to say it guy in the locker room. That's a bad decision,
Hulkster, they say of Bully, they're trying to warn Hulkster that he hasn't
made the right choice to team with Staying. He says, you could have
picked anybody, But what boggles my mind is why you didn't pick your favorite
tag team. His favorite team there the fans favorite team, the world tag
team Champions of the World. That used to be their gimmick. They'd call
themselves the world Champions of the World. Cassas listen, Heath thunder lips,
our feelings are not hurt. We came up with solution One. You canceled
our tag title match. It bound for glory to tell Bully thanks, but
no thanks. Three, you call upon one man who would put an end
to the Hess and Nates threat, and that's Kurt Angle. Bullies music are
actually Sabu's music remixed as was his TENA theme hits. Bully comes stomping out
looking like fucking are the rugged man? Don't you ever talk about my brother
again. I agree with you, guys, Kurt Angle would have been a
great choice, but this is not going to be a wrestling match. This
is going to be a fight. Do they ever have wrestling matches instead?
Or is every promo it's all fights, because that's what makes it unique.
Gets a pop. If you're going to go into a wrestling match, you
pick the greatest pro wrestler out there, Kurt Angle. But if you're going
to get into a fight, you want the baddest mother trucker in the company.
Right now, I don't really care. Actually listen, this is the
wrestling business, he says, wrestling like Vince Russo. By the way,
so we know where in New York he's from. This is not wrestling,
friends, he says, I don't need to be your friend, Hull,
Coogan and Sting. I need to be your partner and have your back.
He's so fa annoying to its exaggerated fucking accent. Yeah he does laate on
knock it off man, just being a normal human being. Okay, Like,
make me care. The common business that we share is we're trying to
get rid of the aces and eights, and if I got to earn your
trust, Hogan Strokes the foo Manchu, here's what I propose, the World
Tag Team Champions of the World of the Whatever versus Bully Ray and partner Sting
tonight so we can prove we can operate on the same page and Sting whisper
something into Hogan's ear. Hogan cuts to the crowd and Daniels is trying to
shush them down, but Hogan says, you know what you're on? Okay.
Later in the clubhouse, aces and eights, mister Hogan, I have
to tell you from the club we were all impressed of how good of a
chess player you are. You put us in check there? What what does
this mean? He's done nothing but talk? What put who in check?
How? I said? These are the things you know? I mean,
obviously I get it. But the game is far from over, mister Hogan.
It's back to business like we promised. Mister Park is just fine getting
takeout. I swear to god. They show Abyss eating out of a white
styrofoam takeout container. It's probably like a madman. It's normal. He's a
normal human They're they're playing up the idea that they have. He's a regular
guy. I fed him all this time, and if he's a regular human
being, he's just starthing. That's a shirt. So let me let me
ask you. That's the sounds of a person who's a regular human being but
just starving. What you just did there, mister Hogan, isn't it funny
how a common cause can bring former enemies together fully red. Oh my god,

and stares for a second and blurts well, and Hogan ah, And then

two years. Run your con around here, okay, Terry whatever, talk
about guilty conscience, talk about fucking Freudian slips. What kind of con have
I've been running around here? Bully says, what have I been doing?
That you haven't been doing your whole career. I shook your hand last week.
I'm gonna say it in a respectful tone. Do you know who I
am? Hulk says, yeah, I know exactly. You get one test
run. If you slip up, you're gonna pay for it. And Sting
screams, we gotta get on the same page right now. We gotta get
the big, bad, evil bully we desperately need right now. I love
you, Hulk, but I need your endorsement. Everybody does. Hulks says,
you got one chance tonight. Bully. Bully says Ari told you I
won't let you down, and Staying through gritted teeth says you better not let
anybody down, Bully. That's right, that's right. Brooke is administering things
backstage, Oh God, saying things accusing women of involvement in high school like
drama. I think I've got I think I have this. I wasn't expecting
that, Okay, So I'm just making sure that you're ready for Sunday.
Oh yeah, it's been like high school drama with Tara and test Mocker.
I mean, I am Tara in my hair out. I'm gonna give everything

Oh my god. So if you're wondering kind of what we're missing on
the Brook Hogan side of the equation as we go through all of Hulk segments,
it's that kind of stuff. Okay, So don't ask again. An
event of the show, Staying Bully Rave vers Daniels and Kazarian, Taney calls
it a very intenuing taglat which you agree we're underway tackle from Staying down,
goes Christopher Daniels. He rolls out, points to his brain and then gets
brained with a bully lariat to the other corner. Interesting, his hands are
over the road. Were people intrigued by Daniels and the other more on or
shore they were? They liked them? Yes? Why? Great workers and
wonderful personalities and entertaining promos. I had a good enough answer for you.
No, they were very of the moment. They were sort of like it
was kind of weird in this hogan bishof regime where their style of work was
out of favor. They found a way to just say fuck it. Then
we'll just be total goofballs until someone notices us and Daniel starts walking around with
a scarf and drinking apple teenees and embracing the things people would have snickered behind
his back about and just owning it. And they were just they just went
with it. Okay, they're not fortune for anymore. Unfortunately, indeed,
unfortunately it was on four exactly. So how about some wrestling on our fucking
TNA dive. This feels good? Oh god, I don't. I'm kind
of I feel a little I don't know about this. I kind of like
when Bully gets the guy in the corner, wraps his arms over the top,
grabs the wrists from underneath, and drive the repeated headbuts to the chest.
That was interesting. Yeah, I'm fine with that. And he starts
through on open hand slaps. They get to rise into the crowd. They
want Sting and he pumps his fist for the Sting chan and they oblige and
he makes the tag like a good doo beat does. Bully Sting comes in,
drops everybody with rights and whips and hip tosses and clothes lines. Bully
comes back in double hip toss. They're working very well together as a well
oiled machine. Ahead a bound for glory high backsupplex on Kazarian by Bully gets
to corner, chest slaps Sting. It's a supplex for two double whip double
clothesline by the baby Faces and a tremendous high vertical suplex by Bully. Sting
hits a splash in the corner that slouches down kaz He goes for another,
but Christopher Daniel pulls Cas out of the way and Sting crashes into the buckling.
Daniels then pulls stings crotch into the post and Bully goes over with a
chair to stop that. Yeah. Daniels then outside him with the elbow drop
and cas with a leg drop for two sting elbows out of the position.
A Caz hits him with a heel kick, though as Daniels comes in,
works over sting, but he gets cut off and tossed and Daniels almost lands
on his head on the outside. Then he springs back up and eats a
double clothes line. Bully comes in with a hot tag crowd with him.
House of fire. Not me? What's that? Not me? This is
where this is the show It turns because as we've played for you, you
know, Bully is singing baby face things, but the crowd is the shit
out of him and they're yeah, you know, they're, uh, completely,
what's the word I'm looking for? Um, It's it's kind of weird
because you know, he he he never really became a baby face again.
He just kind of like they're they're, yeah, it's very odd. Yeah,
yeah, he's um, you know, he's he's pissed off like he
would be as a heel, except he's pissed off at aces and eighth instead
of pissed off at a right. It's kind of a pretty good, tried
true formula and wrestling for getting someone who's over as a badass heel to be
slowly embraced as a baby face. It's kind of a crusher kind of thing,
and not on like a Steve Austin kind of thing, of course at
a much lower level. Sure, um, but this is the show where
it clicks as he comes in and works with Sting and they have good baby
face fire as a tag team just in time for Bound for Glory. Here
as he's running wild house of fire rights and backdrops, sending the Daniels and
Kazarians sailing around the ring into the corner, does the stack running barge and
a Samoan drop on kaz for two. Sting comes in. It's a pure
four brawl as Stings since Kas sailing over the top to the outside, Daniels
runs in above his big boot, cast comes off the top and Sting hits
a right hand to his gut. The baby Faces shake hands and Bully's gonna
walk away, but Sting slaps his chest and says get the tables. Bully's
confused a bit, but does it fishes one out looks to the people like,
really, I'm gonna do the table spot with Sting. They loaded in
the ring, scorping death drop on Kaz. Bully goes to the middle rope,
They feed Daniels to him, and he power bombs Christopher Daniels through the
table. The bell sounds, Bully points to staying all intense, and the
crowd is very much with it. Even though Kaz and Daniels win via DQ
in this main event of impact, it does definitely get the message across that
Bully and Sting or going to Phoenix to kicks him ass so pretty good stuff.
I mean, when they wrestle to get the story across, it's right,
I mean, like that's what you're supposed to do instead of have essays
about it. So they posed cheers. Tess says, hey, Hulkster,
you gotta love this brother, Tony says Aces and Nate's got to get busy
ready for war? Can they eliminate the gang for good? We're going to
find out at t Anda's biggest show of the year, Boss Bound for Glory.
There we go. Let's get are we bound for glory? We are?
We're going for Phoenix, Arizona. The side of this year's Bound for
Glory. October sixteenth, twenty twelve is the date, so they take the
show on the road again. This first time they've been in Phoenix, certainly
for a pay per view. I'm not sure if they had ever run,
if they'd ever done a house show there or not. They probably had some
kind of test run. The attendance was listed at twenty nine hundred, which
is actually pretty paltry and a nut at all. They they just can't fucking
get a crowd to save their life. They did really well in London at
the beginning of the year. That's that's something you have to say for them.
I'm sorry an American Crowdmerican crowd. Yeah, they have struggled. They
have struggled. And Hogan's supposed to make this difference in this regard. Well,
you know, when he's going and trying to promote the show and all
he's talking about his sex tapes, whether he wants to or not, that
that that doesn't necessarily drive the point home. The down Pound for Glory is
a show you need to get to. He's gotta, he's gonna, he's
gonna, you know, work, people want certain things. It's correct um
sting was inducted into the TENA Hall of Fame the night before, and they
show a little bit of a montage video during the pay per view. They
do sort of like the original w W Hall of Fame ceremonies, where it's
like in a ballroom, you know. Yeah, it's only like family and
friends in the audience, and including Hogan, who's not dressed for the occasion
at all, sitting there with a T shirt on, probably no doubt his
mind racing with implications for all the headlines around his sex tape. So I
just, I don't know. I just it's it's amazing to me to look
at his face and at this exact time period and realize what's really on his
mind. I mean, well, brother, do you not know? I'm
just wondering, dude. You know, I'm thinking about everything going on.
I'm just trying to figure out, dude, if I want to have time
to tan. That was a twist I wasn't expecting. Awesome, well done.
The building looks good the way they said. The arena the entryway has
fans kind of hanging off the aisles like they're rabid and excited. Yeah,
I mean they look if you can get excited people to come watch this ship.
I give you credit different, you know, in a different If you
get people to pay to come to this fucking ship and to actually be excited
in a place on the opposite side of the country, then Florida, I'll
give them a little bit of credit. And for all the knocks they took
for never leaving the impact zone and kind of being limited in their vision,
whenever they did go on the road with the tape, they did a really
good job dressing up the said and you know, configuring the fans even if
they were limited capacity to really look like a relatively full arena and a lively
arena and a well lit arena. Love the entranceways they built in a second
and twelve, So I gotta say that for him. Yeah, absolutely,
get to the tag match Sting and Bully Ray against Aces and eight. Sting
comes out in the purple robe doing his outsider his finger point because nothing's more
pathetic than that, and bullies behind him with his back to the camera,
and what does Bully doing. He whips around and there's the Stinger face paint
on. Bully Ray gets to have his why it's an old Sting mark the
most recent want to do that CM punk and aw it's not alright, well
not a pretty site because he went for the surfer sting paint with his black
hair. Oh yeah, that wasn't wasn't great, Bully ray Chan as he
looks to the people. They liked the paint, they liked that touch.
They're fired up. And then the depressing Aces and eights music. They entered
through the crowd and they have Joseph Parks in their possession. They've had him
for weeks and they've been allowed to not only keep him hostage, but drag
him across the country as a hostage. You know what's amazing too, how
many weeks it's been like four weeks out. Yeah, he hasn't lost any
weight. That's not amazing to me for being for being a hot but he
doesn't have free rain over what he eats. True, you're right about that,
you know, just has free That's that's very true. So there he
is, and he's been health hostage. Apparently TSA let him on the plane
and had no signs of distress. They get there and they just handcuff him
to the ringside railing and he's got a stain shirt on and can't stay at
his feet and he's a mess, and they just punch him in the face
one one time for good measure for him and then Sting comes over the opportunity.
Yea, so um. In terms of spoilers, the two guys that
are wrestling for Races and eight here under the hood. They're not revealed,
but it's um uh Festus, Luke Gallows, Drew Drew Hankinson. River's name
is and uh Mike Knox. Do you remember Mike Knox from ECW. Oh?
Yeah, he's THEWS version of ECW. And yeah, he came in
and they put him in the Aces Nates and they called him Knox eventually,
but here they're just the two faceless members of Aces Nates. God, I'm
on the biggest show of the year. I'm not not intrigued in the least
a Saturday Morning job rick match. So into the rail and the steps go
the Aces, Stinging Bully go nuts early. They brawl all over ringside as
tenay re first to these guys as Aces two big physical guns and they're battling
all over the place. They are also two big physical puns. I don't
know what happens, but something happens in the announced position where Taz moves the
equipment or something. It hurts Mike Tenae and he goes out and Tasco sorry
and it makes the air. I don't know what happened there, but I,
on the off chance did anybody listens knows I would love to get that
story. So Bubba smacks knocks on the head with a piece of a table.
There's a we want tables chant. Naturally, as Earl Hebner presides over
this tag team chaos, Bubba reversed into the steps and Sting misses a sting
or splash, crashing rip first into the rail. Sting never hits the splash
on the floor. I'll never understand why he goes for it. In the
ring this time a Knox does one slam and stays a slam Sting and after
a hard right hand, takes over Knox with a short arm clothesline and Sting
gets to Park. Joseph Park all sweaty and greasy haired, huffing and puffing
at ringside is Sting is splashed and killed with a clothes line for two.
He's whipped in off a big boot for two and Sting is bumping incredibly for
his age at this point. I mean, I've said it a million times.
He is a true leader, Marvel and a leader, that's what he
is. I mean, he is bumping like just as well as anybody else
on roster in twenty twelve. Totally, totally, It's really really something.
And remember there's full access to impact wrestling on the line. In this match,
they're driving a hulk Cogan crazy Tas says the aces and eights and he
clarifies that Hogan is not allowed to compete and says Hogan wants to be out
there with Sting right now, but can't be. Knox misses the elbow drops,
Sting hooks the Scorpion deathlock, but he's blinded and Bully does nothing even
though it's no DQ. As he's blindsided, he stands on the apron like
he's obliged to observe the tag team rules. Big hole there, as they
went out of their way to say this would be no DQ yet the tag
rules rain. Knox tries to suplex, but Sting does the go behind and
scores with the Scorpion death drop. Bully stomps the hell out of the apron,
trying to get the crowd clapping and rallying Sting. Sting then does tag
Bully and gets a big pop as he comes and throwing lariats and right hands
and a hangman's news neckbreaker and goes to the middle rode for flying shoulder block.
That's very nice. He's moving great around there, as Bully. He
gotten great street for this work. Whip is reversed and Knox with the knee
of the kidney from the apron stops Bully's momentum. Double whipped to the corner
and you better believe road warrior animal style, Bubba fires out of the corner
with a double clothes line. That's you know when when when you it's it's
good shit. Stick to the basics. He should have done it right away,
but it was not too little, too late. Bully with the splash
gets two tas calls it the big Boy splash for some reason um and also
notes the stench of Joseph Park handcuffed at ringside. The guy can't catch a
break knocks with a steel chair. Bully lends a yaku's a kick on him
to prevent being hit with that. The chairs now loose, Bully grabs it
at another aces Guy hits the ring and Low blows him. Then this guy
lifts his mask and spits over towards Joseph Park, and Park starts freaking out
at this disrespect suddenly and then realize his Holy shit, if I get mad
enough, I can just yank these handcuffs off and break them. And that's
what he does. It's a good pop. He climbs in the ring and
sure, I gotta give him a credit. Band. He knows how to
wrestle and look credible while he's wrestling, But he also knows how to look
credible and appear to not know how to wrestle, right, that's not that's
an easy thing to do. Yeah. Yeah, the way he lumbers around
like he's got two left feet, it's great. Yep. So he tackles
one of the Aces and aids and he's throw hands on him and he punches
like he doesn't know what he's doing, but he's spazzing out almost and he
runs over West on the ramp, which is very nice. West Briscoe comes
out, he runs him over, writes and laughs, backing him up back
in the ring, and the Aces blindside Sting and Bully as they watch that
all play out, Bully then smacks Mike Knox, puts him in the piggyback
position on his shoulders, and Sting flies off the top rope of the doomsday
device. So I might not have been reading too much into it when I
call the animal spat on the double clothesline. Bully may have consulted some Road
Warriors tapes for this one. As they hit the doomsday device and Test says,
what's that remind you of? Talk about brothers in pink, Sting beats
his chest and they're on their feet in Phoenix. Corner to corner, Bully
hits the running corner charge Sting with a stinger splash. Bubbases get the tables
and he does. He loads the table, knocks, he yanks out Sting
out of the ring, and then another one gets in there, another ACE
member, all black, and he busts Bully through the table and the other
one covers him. One two, three, Bully count takes the fall throughout
for glory and the ass that's right. The silence as their music plays,
as the announcers to cry because he gained access to the impact zone. Because
I mean so like every week, it's like every week they they will be
at the impact zone. There's nothing new about it. And so this is
basically so this is them winning. This is the nWo winning War Games in
ninety six and now having whatever like except it's stupid and nobody cares. No
one walked away like Sting did. So they're in the ring just stomping the
hell out of everybody. And you know what they're trying to set up here
as a bunch of ass hit the ring and they play the music. We
need to reveal, we need to know what's going on first. The Holt
sort of got to make the walk brother big Pop and Phoenix for as he
comes out and line him up boss one by one. Yeah, that's what
he does. Run up the ramp, right hand block, Boom down yougo,
down, Ugo, down yougo. And then we get a big U
rips, rips the oh yeah, that's right, rips there. And actually
he looks like he looks pretty good, honestly, you know, he looks
like he lost some weight from his uh from from that U England trip,
the UK trip. You know, he looks he looks a little more you
know, he doesn't look like old school Hoging, but he looks a little
more like old school hold it in a bit, you could say in brother
jeans and the black bandana does the U blocks right, hands backs him up
here. I got it here the big reveal, right, pretty good boot
Actually, uh yeah, I mean he got up to the chest way better
than the one in England. The fight in this match because as matches to
move the mask do it. Let's single that jobs take the mask off,
it's ring out. Who is it? Who are you thinking? All these
idiots? It was always great Devon is in Nace's Nates. I would say
I didn't see that coming, and then I'd say, well, probably for
good reason. Yeah, I would say I didn't care if that one can
gets a pretty good reaction. Hogan sells it like you saw a ghost.
I mean I get I mean he better. Honestly, they all better fucking
sell it like like a ghost, because that's probably one of the more underwhelming
reveals ever. Did you have an expectation that it would be a bigger deal,
Yeah, because they don't really promise and unmasking. No, no they
don't. But you know, I imagine that Downford Glory it was going to
happen, and you know, because we hadn't seen it, and it's like,
come on, it's the biggest show of the year. You gotta fucking
do it. And then it's like, was it to be Eric Bischoff At
one point, I'll entertain the possibility because it's I mean, I honestly I
would have preferred that, Yeah, really a little more interesting. I just
don't care. Well, he's getting a chance to run with the ball.
You know, it's like at least at least you know, with Eric Bischof,
I'm like, oh, fuck, here we go again. Totally,
Yeah, that would have been fucking death. I would have I would have
appreciate it that more actually than this shit, because this is just I don't
care. Well, I know, in rest don't care. I know on
that night, I didn't care, but interested to see how it's going to
work out for him. What he's got, he does, he counts pretty
well for himself. That's pretty much the biggest position he'll get the in Bubba
too. On his side, I mean, it's clear that Bully has sort
of ingratiated himself to Hogan and Bischoff and has a seat and at the table
for production and creative and you know what I mean, He's like he's probably
in a position to get Devon a hard push, and that's probably what this
is more than anything else. Plus the supposed leverage Devon had with a contract
expiring plays a factor as well. I don't know, it's weird. It's
like, no one, it's weird when you make someone a main event heel
that no one really even saw as a mid card heel in the first place.
You know, yeah, yeah, but we'll see what totally totally comes
out in pretty good shape and he cuts decent promos. It's I guess,
you know, in a way, it's good that he had this moment for
himself in the career, but it's not. It doesn't make for very memorable
moment necessarily, it's probably the most memorable moment of his career. Though as
certainly as the singles, I would imagine that this is probably Yeah, you're
absolutely right. I would imagine that is very true. So there is there
is perhaps that and in the main event, Jeff Hardy, after all the
trials and tribulations literal and figurative, after doing jail time over the drug distribution
charges, after just a constant stream of headaches, and basically making a mockery
of TNA's policy around substance abuse since coming into the company or returning to the
company, we should say, after leaving the last time due to drug problems
and then having that tobacco with sting at Victory Road that we talked about here
on TNH, having the arrest, and then constantly shifting court date now behind
him, Jeff appeared to come back to TNA in twenty twelve, clearheaded,
with no issues and ready to perform and ready to become the world champion of
the company again. Now we want to talk about the day Javu of TNA
boss. That's another big one. Jeff Hardy coronation happens at least four times,
it seems like. But I don't know, maybe I find myself in
a particularly biased position visa v. Jeff Hardy in twenty twelve, because I
actually had the chance to talk to him in twenty twelve, all right,
as he was building the Bound for Glory campaign that was clearly the tournament.
Was he high? What's that? Was he high? Oh? He was
great? And I remember doing the interview feeling like I actually don't feel like
a complete you know, dufus, acting like this time it's going well I
feel like enough time had passed where his prior slip ups, when they would
have happened, had come and gone, and they were clearly positioning the booking
to give him a run at the championship at Bound for Glory, and we
talked about that. So here's a clip from one interview Jeff Hardy in twenty
twelve that's on YouTube as well, but I just excerpted one part of the
conversation where we talked about his stature and his status in TNA one Impact Wrestling's
Bound for Glory series, which I believe puts you in a position to challenge
for the championship on the biggest TNA pay per view of the year, which
of course is Bound for Glory. And about how you're seeing this run and
this run at the belt because your last run of the title you were heel,
you were kind of trying different things. Now you're more back in the
traditional baby face role. Well, what does this run me to you here
as you're back toward the top of the cards. No, it's crazy exciting.
Um, especially like if you look back to you know, when the
Immortal title first dropped, and you know, and all that was going on
with the anti Christ and and then you you envisioned what it would be like
if that happened. Now, just that's really exciting. And and I've always,
um, I've talked really strong about Austin areas uh for the last ever.
And you know, because I've watched him on the live events, even
back when he was just the ex division champion on Oh my God, this
guy is fun to watch. He is so confident and so talented and so
innovative all that good stuff. A lot like myself. Um. So it's
going to be a great main event at Mount for Glory in Phoenix, And
if I can pull this win off, I got something huge in store for
this run. Very very good. Now, Jeff, It's been a long
road for you. Your trials and your tribulations have been well publicized throughout your
your this point in your career, and it looks like now you're decidedly back
on track. You know, you don't hear any stories about you know,
you're showing up late or missing shows or coming in you know, a questionable
condition. You're honest about these things. And I wonder kind of how you're
feeling from that perspective these days, because they even made it a storyline on
impact where you had to rebuild trust that seemed to me like art imitating life.
That's exactly what it was, and it was. It was real nerve
wracking man. Like I think it was Huntsville, Alabama that first night last
August when I came back and I pretty much had to I'll gl out there
in front of the world and you know, spill my heart and admit that
I hit rock bottom. But that was kind of the point where I started
over, and I said many times, I've just I've been a steady incline
since that moment. I got that out and let some of the guys around
here to get their true feelings out. And when that came across on camera,
well, and I just sat back and took it. And I knew
it was going to take a while, maybe years, to prove myself to
these guys. But I'm a year over a year into it now and everything's
going extremely well. What are you attributed to? What was it that because
you would you'd come back a few times, you know, and had very
high profile opportunities not only an Impact but in the WWE, and you still
it seems like it couldn't you couldn't write the ship. Was there something in
particular that made the difference this time? Ultimately? Fatherhood? Oh? Really?
Yeah? Yeah, my dad. We just filmed my third Enigma DVD,
which is going to be crazy good, and they interviewed my dad and
he he pretty much he said it. He thumbed it up real quick.
And then they asked him pretty much the same question. He said, Ruby,
he said, she straightened him up. And when it all comes down
though, that's yeah, that's that's huge. What do you think about being
in this era of the business, Jeff, where your pro promoter, the
company you work for, does a DVD addressing such personal issues, you know,
bringing the reality of your personal life into the marketing of your character.
Is is that something that you're totally comfortable with? I mean, what do
you think of it? Yeah? Yeah, I mean I'm comfortable with it.
Um, you know, it kind of helps with recovery. I mean,
it kind of gets especially when I mean half my life I've been a
professional wrestler, and I think the fans, especially you know, after the
arrest, I mean that's like he can't get much worse than that of you
know, me facing all those charges, and I mean that was bad,
and so I pretty much my song Resurrected was about having one more shot that
t Anda gave me to come back and do great and and I've been doing
great, and I think the fans overall looking back at me talking about my
suspensions, I mean, I think it's it's to be respected in the long
run, and uh, it just I'm so confident and in love with life
again right now that uh I think that. I mean, I feel like
I'm more popular than I've ever been now and I think it's helped for me
to be honest and open and admitting my mistakes and uh and continue to u
incline like I've done since Hunts Alabama. So I've been good. There you
go. Jumped back on track for a while talking to a pre pubescent,
pre pubescent interviewer. Yes, yes, yes, indeed, different time.
It really was. That was I did that in studio when I did an
MMA talk show with Ariel Hawaani, and it was like the only day they
could do it, so I had to like leave the leave the desk,
go into a back room on my Skype and like bang this thing out and
like the lead that's hilarious, but it was very hard to get interviews back
then with them. They were very like it wasn't hard and that they didn't
want to do it, but it was hard to get a time certain and
stuff. It was like, okay, how about now? What right?
And and Mike today? I asked for him like a hundred times and they
never got him for me. So I thought that was but never gonna get
that, Never gonna get that. That's that because he's because because he's had
other fish to fry. Man, if he's not calling wrestling, he's fucking
watching. If Duke's going to cover the spread, you know, he's exactly
I understand that now. I didn't understand that then. Necessarily Yeah, because
he's eyeballing so much, including threats potential three. That's right to his livelihood
in person. Shifty eyed motherfucker. So you better believe the next impact.
Right off the top of the Aces and aids come rumbling in with their headlights
on and they play that stupid music. It's time to celebrate their big victory.
Abound for glory. Security gets in their face, but they can't say
shit. They're allowed in now they have access. I don't know why they
got in their face in the first place. If it was, I just
say the same things that we're going on. I'm just gonna go and yeah,
it's fake shit, and I gotta get over to Denny's. Here he
is, Donnie, still on the job, and they step into a side
door. They stream in like a clown car, one at a time into
the impact zone. Today, says Aces no longer have to sneak in.
It's full access for the enemy and there's nothing we can do about it.
So they'll get the ring and form a line, and they look to the
tron and one guy says, that's a beautiful sight. And the members of
the Brotherhood standing tall in the middle of the impact zone. Last Sunday,
we beat you at your own game. And we got one man to thank
for that. It's our president. And President wants me to send a public
thank you to the newest member. And one man we all just call another
part of the Brotherhood. You know him as Devon, and they all toast
guy has him one. So he's new. He's new. He's not the
president. He's not the okay, right, okay, this is designed to
make us wonder, well, who's the president then? If not for Divon?
They hit the music again of Asis, Nates and Divon comes out in
his new look with the leather biker vest and a gold chain and the long
black undershirt. Pretty strong reaction to him. They they bow him big time.
He hits the ring and hugs all of him one by one and Yeah,
if not now. When Yeah takes the mic and says number one,
shut the hell up, you sold out, chant, he says, of
course, come on, say it, Devon, Say I didn't sell out.
I bought it, and say it, or say rather what Jeff said,
Say what Jeff's had bound for glory twenty ten. I sold in.
Oh my god, these guys I didn't sell out. I sold in.
Guy's right here in this ring have had my back since day one, Since
day one, these guys here like six months ago, if that joined,
When I was down and out, they were there to pick me up.
He says, you people most no good and bread pieces of crap I ever
seen. Thanks to them. Without you, I wouldn't be standing here in
this ring testifying. You'd be somewhere else testifying. Then, brother, what

on with the patches on it. God, I'm very bored. He says,
this is the group that will destroy TNA, and I'm thinking, uh,
that's already taken. Yeah, you suck chance, Devon getting riled up
for sure. Real heat here. I have to say, you say,
so, what did you think two years ago? I forgot? He says,
when you cheap shot at me in this Ring Bubba when you put my
son through a table, because remember they had their feud there. We didn't
talk about it much on TNH, but they feud with each other in the
beginning of the Hogan Bishavira. Oh yeah, they hit there retirement match where
they lost to the MotorCity machine Guns as a tech remember yeah, and afterwards
Bully turned heel right on him. Peffer and I a tooth for tooth.
He says, paybacks a batch, isn't it? And Bully and it is
Bully's better chant breaks out, although I thought they were changing fruity pebbles for
a moment. Sting comes out with Bully and kurtsmo Joe and all kinds of
people all the rest, stinks his ass and Nates Cangrat. You midto the
impact zone unscathed, and it's perfect because it's time to do some formal introductions.
And as they begin to brawl, Holtelgun's music plays and he comes out
in the red and yellow with the bat. You know, he needs to
decide who he's going to be. True every week it's a new he's He's
either wearing the red and yellow, or he's wearing nWo stuff or he's wearing
Impact colors or you know, I can't handle this, sope, I can't
be not even that is it's just because what he wears determines what character's So
there are certain things that you should get across in the red and yellow.
Yeah, it doesn't seem to pay that much attention to that, which is
surprising. M So he comes out here and says, you better get out
here, raises and Ates and they re emerge. I'm not even sure where
they went in the first place. They were just out here, but they
re emerge, and Hooks and hulksays, all right, guys, let's do
what we need to do, and that's jump into the crowd and stand there
and face them and do nothing. Of course, that's what happens, not
what he says, right, he might have said it. He says,
you Ates and Addvon, it don't work this way, brother, Bound for
glory. You guys got full access, not not to our lives, but
to the Impact Zone and TNA, and that means with full access, you
got to fight. Sting says, if you say Devon's got to fight,
then I'm saying Devon, I want to fight you right now. Devon says,
it ain't happening. Bully's screaming at Hulk. I want him, I
want him. Hulk says, you're either all the way in or all the
way out and to night me. Either fight staying in the main event,
Devon, or you get your ass out for good. So wait a minute.
All this time they've been fretting about aces and aids getting unauthorized access to
the Impact zone, and you're telling me that, by virtue of his role
as general manager, Hulk Hogan can just have them thrown out anyway. And
it's it's apparently such a serious threat that he leverages that to get Divon to
agree to fight what he doesn't even want to. How are the aces and
eights in any way subject to all of these things, these rules that Hulk
have put in place about open Fight night and all this shit. How can
they possibly be beholden to that. They're not wrestlers, they're not supposed to
be contracted wrestlers to TNA. They're like the invading force, and yet Hogan
can threaten to kick them out of the building. Well, you're just looking
too much such shit manding ninety day are Story Bible, New York and Scott
Fishman. But fuck, that's like the weakest shit I've ever heard in the
wrestling the world. With Mark Burnett, all right, I worked with Mark
Burnett. We discuss how you're turning it on me. I didn't see you,
and the last one you do the exact same thing, and it fucking
infuriates. It negates anything positive, evasis nates. It makes the whole thing
the positive evasis and nates. It's a complete waste of time. So let's
not talk. Let's not look back reverently on this thing. Do people look
backround? I just think I worry that they are starting to the more time

is remembered, and look, if he takes pride in some of it,

about who they're going to attack tonight. While Hogan keeps going, he says,

Tara and godders Jesse Godters her boyfriend guy back. Then they talk kind of
goes nowhere. Tara beats test Mocker and Brooke comes out. Her music,

even means? Then? Opened next week is open fight night And I just
got off the phone with a very FEISTYODB, she says, and she wants

Meanwhile, Joseph Parks barges into Hogan's office. These guys are gangsters. Flubone
killers brother Park. With all due respect, you are not the one who

he didn't do it. Devon getting in the kid's face for hitting him,
and the kid goes ashen. When Devon turns around like he's legitimately pissed this
kid, slapping him on the back. That's about finally they all stream out,
all the heels all the Aces and Ates and Bubbas swing in a chain
to keep them all at bay. He's totally surrounded staying Angle Storm, aj
Chavo, Hernandez. They all come out. They do a big brawl.
Devon and Bully are alone in the ring and Devon has his back to him
and he turns around and Bully is coiled and drops him with the right hand.
Gets in the chant tables tables, and then Naces Nates gets behind and
tosses Bully to the floor. Joseph Park slips in and his jump suit and
the big member of Aces and Nates, who we come to find out is
is the former festis Drew Hankinson. Luke Gallows goes to his gut and starts
hauling off with the right hands. He still has his mask on. However,
the brawler continues around ringside and his doc starts throwing. Park reaches outside,
grabbed his hood and yanks his mask off. And here's today's incredible reaction,
because nobody seems to give a shit. Joseph Park, Oh God,
I know, I know. That guy's a big man with an even bigger
reputation, an enforcer for some of the biggest names in the business unmasked.
It's a member of ACES at eight and Joseph Park just slammed right through the
table. It's the enforcer for some of the biggest names in the business.

of TNH, we bring you to the November eighth episode of Impact in twenty

this. As you hear the crinkle of the leather lugs and the vest,
it sounds like sixteen people like squirming on a leather couch because where they placed

I let you guys down. I know, I got to do a
lot to do tonight, and I'm gonna make this right. And the main
guy has a gavel and he gavels in is a wrestling court. Well,
they've added adds to the canvas. So renaming it from TNAT, Impact Wrestling
is still paying apparently because Kyra Veteran and something else, like a company that
was making headsets called DNA Camp has a logo on the mat as well.
You get it pack wrestling, you know, Impact because we're gonna happening exactly.
It actually sings in a lot of ways. Yeah, you think good
bye, are you? So? Hogan is on aries for walking around with
the old TNA belt. Jeff has the new one obviously. Yes, I
don't know why Austinary still has possession of the belt. I lost track of
caring about that back in the ring. Hogan comes about that something. It's
not just losing track of what's going on, but you're losing track of caring
everybody about it. That's what's key. Part comes in the ring, Hogan
comes out. You gave us momentum to keep finding up against the aces,
and when you pulled the mask off, you made us all proud. You
were very, very lucky. You're not a wrestler. You should not be
in this ring. You're a very very good lawyer. But for you to
ask me if I could put you at risk, the first thing that comes

He's fought me and also got a lot to prove in this clubhouse or
whatever, and Hulk is not believing in Joseph Park and he says, brother,
I no, I do. I do believe in him, but I'm
running this company, not you. Bull. He says, Hulk, we
know. I just want you to listen to me and trust me for one
second. I believe in him, and they believe in him. And there's
a big pop and Hogan looks around in hoofs and they chan't let him fight
and bell He say, Hulk, these are your fans, these are our
hulkamaniacs. He makes the hoof dash very bushy is the stash. Hulk says,
why say no when it feels so damn good to say yes? And
he does a hip thrust and they chant yes, and Hogan says, Joseph,
just this one time, and they shake to a pop and Joseph Park
embraces Hogan. Bullie Ray has talked the Hulkster to doing something he wants him
to do great. Later, in a tag match, Bully sets up a
table, but he gets beat away from using it. The dcge hoakes lam
staying through a table and the big One, the Big Eye in Aces of
Eights, I think Mike Knox uses the ball peen hammer on him and they
crushed Sting's arm with the hammer and lay into him pretty big, and they
played up as a big injury angle on the Sting or as they stretcher him
out. Later, Hogan's on the phone talking about how bad is he hurt
and says he's in more trouble than he thought, um with staying out of
the picture. And he says to the guy on the phone, every five
minutes, call me wow later. Um. In his office there's talk that
um he wants to give Hulkogan a chance to congratulate him. This is a
Joey Ryan on winning the X title because he hadn't yet. And then Morgan
comes in. He gets in Hogan's office chair and gets in Hogan's face.
He Hogan backs off Hogan. He gives Morgan that credit still have no idea,
He says, who you're message, but you're gonna find out yet Again.
Ogan smiles and he says, but I do know they're playing this idea
like before when he attacked him in the beach shop but got in his face.
They showed Hogan watching on the monitor right back at the impact zone.
Yeah, and he's like, oh, he's starting to learn. So Hogan's
acting like he's bringing Matt Morgan into a more intense place more than anything else.
And what is a significant development on this final episode of Impact this week.
At one point, Austin Aires is walking around talking on the cell phone
backstage. I got I got this. I didn't it only because it I
didn't really realize it's a significant thing. But it intrigued me because, well
not in a good way, but mainly because I thought it could be deplorable
if what happens, what could happen happens. But here is always a loophole.
You expect me just now, I'm down. I gave you father my
world, look through it again. That's fine. There's always a loophole,
man. Come on, you know that Brooke and a bully arguing about something
that they're hesitating to tell Hulk, and then they kind of and they move
away like they were just fucking. As soon as Aries looks at them,
they break like they weren't talking at all. Brooke buries her face in her
phone like she was texting. Bully makes it in a quick exit, what's
