Sergio Garcia had a nice little meltdown that was cool. 00:00:59 Speaker 3: What are you snap a driver or something? 00:01:01 Speaker 2: You know, just broke it against like a cooler that was sitting nearby, and he had. 00:01:05 Speaker 3: A lot of those. 00:01:08 Speaker 2: Golf blowhards who are like, well that's that's that's really frowned upon it. 00:01:11 Speaker 3: Augustin as it's. 00:01:12 Speaker 4: Kind of hard to talk tough about a topic when you have music like this playing. I'm just saying, well, just thought I make that clear. 00:01:23 Speaker 3: The live golfers didn't didn't show up very well. That was very apparent. 00:01:29 Speaker 2: What about former live golfers Brooks Koepka, Well, that was Lvar's. 00:01:33 Speaker 3: Second pick and our and our hatch rawl and he he was representing those out there playing well, right, LaVar did not. 00:01:39 Speaker 4: I was loyal to one and he Fitzpatrick and he totally boned me, so so good, thank you. 00:01:48 Speaker 5: I had Hadeki in there. He kind of came back a little bit. He was started getting the mix. 00:01:52 Speaker 4: Okay, Justin Rose though named throw out there, forty five years old, relatable for you, relatable old. 00:02:02 Speaker 3: Head out there doing this thing. You know what about the it was it Haye tongue lee. You're you're burying the lee here though? 00:02:13 Speaker 4: What he finished third at forty five years old, Justin Rose, that's right, show some props to that. Like quietly has been a steady achiever. Maybe not every. 00:02:26 Speaker 5: Days though he had a couple of eventful holes. By the way, he's awesome. 00:02:30 Speaker 3: What do you do when you listen to his interviews? And stuff. He is he has so much fun. 00:02:34 Speaker 2: Did you hear he spoke on Saturday that he, I guess got a stomach illness or something like that, and he was talking about. 00:02:44 Speaker 3: How he a house. Oh no, he went and visited the law. 00:02:51 Speaker 5: And you are just after all the linebackers today, those are your people, they are my people. 00:02:58 Speaker 3: But hey, tongue Lee said that he had had issues and. 00:03:02 Speaker 2: He was just throwing up and and dropping bombs and then and then he showed up in Isaac Lohenkron, our Sports Update anchor over the weekend, pointed out the gutsiest move all weekend with the fact that he dealt with the stomach issues and then rolled out in white trousers. 00:03:18 Speaker 3: Not guts round, buddy, tang. 00:03:20 Speaker 5: There is no restrooms anywhere close to some of those holes. 00:03:23 Speaker 3: Oh no, So what you have to do? Tree? 00:03:26 Speaker 4: No way, you better find some depends. I mean, that's what it has to be, right. You can't you can't go find a tree out Augusta. I would assume what you bring, dude, what that is that is not a pro Why not? 00:03:40 Speaker 3: Why? 00:03:40 Speaker 2: Because it's it's a sophisticated place to be. I mean, even the deer, even the. 00:03:48 Speaker 4: Deer, and the raccoons and the and and the chipmunks go off the site, they go off the greens, they go off the rough, and they go elsewhere to handle their business before they come back. 00:04:00 Speaker 5: He was deep enough in the woods though at one point he easily probably could have and no one would have seen him. Yeah, I mean, that's there's a couple of holes that got pretty pretty dicey for him. 00:04:08 Speaker 3: Whereas pants white. 00:04:09 Speaker 4: Uh yeah, it wasn't just white Yeah, okay, white pants, Okay, ballsy man. 00:04:15 Speaker 3: That's I mean, he. 00:04:16 Speaker 5: Could have looked like he sat down on a fudge sickle. 00:04:18 Speaker 3: It was not It was not good. Yeah, yeah, well. 00:04:21 Speaker 4: It's really but Rory won again. He got another green jacket. Good for green jackets? Does he have three two two? 00:04:29 Speaker 2: By the way, CBS is getting all sorts of heat because the coverage wasn't great. They missed some shots like Haytong Lee's uh collapse not not you know, the uh the the defictdyeh. 00:04:42 Speaker 3: But the yesterday he had an awful couple of holes that you. 00:04:46 Speaker 2: Mentioned, and it was completely missed, like Rory's last shot, like people felt like that they kind of butchered that as well. 00:04:54 Speaker 3: Too so CBS. 00:04:55 Speaker 5: I mean it was I don't know why it was in hand, it was a very nic matic, you know, eighteenth hole unless he's going to completely fall apart, which I guess wasn't out of the question, but I don't know. 00:05:08 Speaker 3: I didn't have a problem with it. I thought it was. 00:05:11 Speaker 5: Look, it was an eventful Sunday for the most part up until about the last few holes, where you know, no one was going to catch him at that point unless he was going to fall apart and collapse, no one's going to catch him. 00:05:22 Speaker 3: And great credits to Rory. 00:05:23 Speaker 5: You could tell he he's figured it out because he doesn't make it easy and self admittedly, but he's been able to figure out a way to step up to the big moments. 00:05:31 Speaker 2: What's the next big one? Is it the British Open? Is that the next big one? Or the Open Championship that you blow hards like to call it? 00:05:38 Speaker 3: What is it? Does anymore really matter? 00:05:42 Speaker 4: It's like they'rether majors matters, like things like that's like the one that this one ends it, you know, like you keep playing it is what it is, but it's just kind of like it's not the same. I don't get the same type of attention, doesn't have the same type of lore. 00:05:56 Speaker 3: I don't know why. I mean, none of them have it for me. You know, hey, we appreciate your participatings on this top. You know. 00:06:05 Speaker 2: You know he's got plenty of time to golf. Moving forward, Old Doc Rivers, Yeah, I've got a whole bunch of time on his. 00:06:13 Speaker 3: Hand pulling the. 00:06:16 Speaker 2: Boy do it awful run how to do it for a Milwaukee and maybe has had as a head coach in the NBA with Honest to god, why do you want to go back? He's a great broadcaster, he's got a ring, he is, he's got a good player, Like, what what do you want to go? 00:06:33 Speaker 3: Deal with that crap? 00:06:35 Speaker 2: Go be a broadcaster, He's he's great at it. There's opportunities out there. You can make a good living and not have to deal with any of this crap that that that he was having to deal with with Janie and all the rumors and are they shutting him down? 00:06:47 Speaker 3: Are they not? 00:06:48 Speaker 2: Sham Sharani Apparently he's got a got an axe to grind with Doc Rivers and and the Bucks organization, Like the whole thing is it just didn't work at all for anybody there, Damian Lillard, Like none of it worked. And you just look back at their decision to fire Adrian Griffin when they did, and I think they were what thirty and thirteen or something like that. They had a really good record and they decided to move on from him, and they've just gotten worse ever since, and now they're probably gonna lose Giannis in the offseason. 00:07:18 Speaker 4: Do you realize that Doc did the same thing that Q's kids did in those soccer games? What do you mean, won one, lost one, won the championship, lost the championship. Oh yeah, He's going into the Hall of Fame this month. 00:07:33 Speaker 3: Yeah, and he got fired this month. Yeah. 00:07:37 Speaker 2: So all in the same stroke of time, he's won and yet he's lost. 00:07:43 Speaker 4: He's lost, but yet he's won. I mean, induction into the Hall of Fame. That's a big accomplishment. I mean Doc has been a figure of longevity and not only being a player but as a coach. I mean, do you guys realize. 00:08:03 Speaker 2: He's coached twenty seven seasons. Yeah, so long, five different teams. So I mean he's almost got a six hundred win percentage overall. 00:08:13 Speaker 5: So I mean it's not like he's you know, he won it with the Celtics obviously, but I mean he's been involved in the NBA since nineteen eighty three. 00:08:21 Speaker 3: Crazy man, you know, has up a long run to a few years off. 00:08:26 Speaker 5: But what it feels like Doc Rivers has been around forever. He's like that answer that a job comes open and people just go Doc Rivers, like Doc can take it. He's like that safe candidate for any job that opens up, which is maybe how he found his way to Milwaukee. But it does beg the question like is the next hire purely contingent on what Giannis wants? 00:08:49 Speaker 2: It feels like that ship has sailed. I don't know how you repair the relationship there between him and the front office because one of the things, you know, they're like people, well maybe it's a Doc Rivers thing, and Doc Rivers told everybody I get along great with the honest but it's not, you know, there's there's but I think the front office they're handling of him, the conversations they were having surrounding a possible trade. It just feels like it's run its course, and whoever is taking that job next, I would go in with the expectation that you're probably not going to have you honus that they're that there could be a deal done this summer, and most likely a deal done this summer, their relevance is done for a really long time. 00:09:30 Speaker 4: Just get get comfortable with being uncomfortable with how bad your organization is or your your team, your product. 00:09:37 Speaker 2: Welthough, isn't Aaron Rodgers still part owner of the Bucks. I think he's got a small stake in the team, so it's not great for him either. 00:09:46 Speaker 4: Just get comfortable with that because this is a team that's going to have to find a new leader. They're going to have to find and build a culture They're they're going to have to find because I don't believe you honest is coming back. There's no reason for him to come back at this point. He's he's exhausted, And you know what, I don't think people can be upset with him for not wanting to come back either. And if you have a problem with that and you want to hate him or do what fans have historically done, which is be a moron and burn the jersey, then you go right ahead and be that moron. But that is very, very singular to you and your feelings because the dude, gave you multiple MVP years. He gave you something. He gave you a championship, and he gave you a player that was worth turning on the television or buying tickets to go see play in person. He's given you all of that and and that what you haven't been You haven't been that good with the Bucks since what like what lou Ausender did? 00:10:51 Speaker 3: Lou Eusender even played for the Bucks? Maybe he did? Yeah, I think he did. Yeah, I mean about Jack Sikma, how about that? 00:10:58 Speaker 5: Well, the betting favorite is Toler Jenkins. He's a former obviosly Griffley's head coach, and he has got experience back when he was with Bulldenholzer Stat Milwaukee. 00:11:08 Speaker 3: That was the year Jannis won the MVP. 00:11:09 Speaker 5: One of the Jiankin Boys Taylor Jenkins. Yet he's younger, so maybe that's the direction they go. Maybe he's able to because the prior relationship. 00:11:19 Speaker 3: If he was going to stand. 00:11:22 Speaker 2: Did they make a movie about Roscoe Jenkins and that Martin Lawrence Probably, I'm just joking. Now, do you think that if there is a move and they do trade him, do you think people really will burn the jersey? I feel like that that helpe has sailed. And I would also say this for the like, I'm not saying that they were the originals when it came to burning jerseys. I think people have done it before, but I think full blame should go to to Brady Quinn and cav fans everywhere for burning Lebron's jersey. 00:11:52 Speaker 3: Yeah, that was bad. 00:11:53 Speaker 2: That was pretty You guys really started us down a path to where people thought that was the way to get it. 00:11:58 Speaker 3: I never burnt any Lebron. Let's just start off with that. 00:12:02 Speaker 5: I can understand why people had an emotional reaction because he went on national TV and despite raising what I believe to be over a million bucks for charity, basically just said yeah, table talents to South Beach. 00:12:18 Speaker 3: So I can understand their frustration. 00:12:22 Speaker 5: When you know you live in the Midwest, you really look forward to sports, you really look forward to your your favorite teams, your favorite players, and clearly the message was. 00:12:32 Speaker 3: Said that he didn't want to be there anymore. 00:12:35 Speaker 5: Now, he did come back and completely redeem himself the next time around, getting a championship, but then did once again leave to go to brighter pastures out in LA and not necessarily leave the team in a great spot, even though now I think Cavs fans are excited about the roster they have, the team they have at this point, so. 00:12:56 Speaker 4: They had, you know, Oscar robertson great names, Sidney Montcreef, great name in basketball. Another name Terry Cummings, Ray Allen, Yeah, Ray Allen played for Milwaukee Bucks. I forgot about that. 00:13:13 Speaker 2: Uh. 00:13:13 Speaker 3: Terry Cummins is a great name. 00:13:15 Speaker 4: Bro, what a that? That's another iron Man. We've been talking Ironman on what. 00:13:24 Speaker 3: Name it is? 00:13:25 Speaker 4: Terry Cummins is a great name in sports, Like great, great person, great human being? 00:13:30 Speaker 3: Like why why are you? 00:13:34 Speaker 2: Like? 00:13:34 Speaker 3: What was there something I'm missing? Terry Companys is a great name. 00:13:39 Speaker 4: I mean I was more in on him with with the Spurs, but you know, I like Terry Cummins, play hard defense. 00:13:47 Speaker 5: Jonas into a segment he used to call pro wrestler or porn start. 00:13:53 Speaker 3: Because he definitely is making these weird. 00:13:57 Speaker 2: Why am I getting the Terry Cummings poor star or real real basketball player. 00:14:02 Speaker 3: I don't think we need pro wrestlers. Pro wrestler. 00:14:05 Speaker 2: This is where things get gross, and I just don't think you got problem tho. 00:14:08 Speaker 5: This is like Jonas knows that I know, he knows that I know all about his little games. 00:14:13 Speaker 3: It went to a little dark place in his head. 00:14:15 Speaker 2: I could see it operating in his mind, Like his eyes went went in a different direction. His face was making different facial expressions, like we don't went to a different place, Joan, we don't need to bring up one of the great game shows in the history of sports talk radio. Pro wrestler or porn star. 00:14:30 Speaker 3: Which was the name that he used? 00:14:31 Speaker 5: I don't think it was Terry. I don't think it was Terry. That wasn't his first name. 00:14:35 Speaker 3: But what did you use? Oh so you actually use Terry Cummins? No, that was boy? Well, like this is the last name? Oh good? 00:14:48 Speaker 2: Like Johnny Depth. That was a good one. That was That was one of the more famous ones. 00:14:57 Speaker 3: Depth. 00:14:59 Speaker 5: Why would that be viewed as anything other than an adult film star? 00:15:03 Speaker 3: How would that be viewed as a wrestler. I don't know. 00:15:06 Speaker 5: If you think it's a great name, it's it's a great name for port, it's not a great name for wrestler. 00:15:11 Speaker 2: I don't listen, man, you believe like we used to have some fun on that. We had a Mormon couple, like two Mormon people call in play the game one time, and they were pretty accurate. We had cops call in. We had a police officer. 00:15:24 Speaker 3: He was on. It was a slow night. 00:15:26 Speaker 5: And to notice how he's being elusive about the names. He only wants to give us Warriors actually a terrible name for that game. 00:15:31 Speaker 4: All right, y'all ready, sure, all right, here we go, y'all tell me, y'all tell me does this pass or does this fail? 00:15:37 Speaker 3: All right? You are ready? Malik Hooker pass wrestler. 00:15:44 Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, that's that's going win, all right. 00:15:46 Speaker 3: Fletcher Cocks, how many excess three? That's oh yeah, adult film star. I gotta be kindle kindle fuller. 00:16:08 Speaker 2: Wrestler, yeah, pro wrestler, all right. Nick Chubb these are that's the former running back for the Cleveland Browns. 00:16:19 Speaker 3: Okay, okay, I'm just giving your names. I mean these were legit. You want to know what these are? Legitimate NFL names? Mariah Cherry. Here we go. It was another one, sky More. 00:16:36 Speaker 2: That's name that good. 00:16:37 Speaker 5: I mean, now you're just using you're using football players names. 00:16:40 Speaker 3: Yeah, they're all football players. 00:16:42 Speaker 2: I mean I could I could probably pull up, you know, a real list if you wanted one of these. 00:16:47 Speaker 3: I probably pulled something. 00:16:48 Speaker 2: I'll just hit you with a real list man, not the wrestlers corporm that we're all NFL players. 00:16:56 Speaker 3: I think it's funny as hell. 00:17:02 Speaker 5: The fact though, that Jonah's preparing for a show would like to sit there and think of different names, though, that tells you a little bit. 00:17:08 Speaker 3: About John That does into it. You know, the people wanted it, did they? Yeah, the one that you delivered. Yeah, let me see, uh, let me see what we got here? What you got? Cool? 00:17:19 Speaker 2: We're looking at it. 00:17:20 Speaker 3: I felt like I did pretty good. Just did he did? Nicholas Chub All right? How about this one? All what you get dirty Harry? That's a pro wrestler. 00:17:39 Speaker 2: That's a pro wrestler. I'm going porn Star Leavar, you were correct? Yes, yes, how about this one? 00:17:48 Speaker 3: All right? Oh no, if I should get them right? 00:17:52 Speaker 2: Black Mamba, that's uh, give your first crack at this one. 00:17:59 Speaker 3: I'm going to stay poor Star on this one. It sure sounds like it would be. 00:18:05 Speaker 2: That's a popular genre these days from what I hear. Brady Quinn, you are correct, that is correct. So again, I mean there was you know, but you know those were the it was a good old days. Yeah, that was the good old days. Here we go grown up since then, Steven A, We've we've grown up since then. 00:18:33 Speaker 3: The point is. 00:18:36 Speaker 2: Yannie is a Milwaukee Buck, that ship is sailed, that's going to do it. And I point I also wonder as well, too, what does that trade return look like nowadays? 00:18:47 Speaker 3: Because yeah, he's not he's not. 00:18:49 Speaker 2: A young guy with with a body that hasn't broken down recently. I think he's obviously still a very good player for when they'll let him play. But you know, he's not crazy old either, have A. He's been in the league. I think, what thirteen fourteen years something along those lines. He's been in the league a long time now. So I just look at it and I go, but. 00:19:07 Speaker 4: Does that matter when you're not that I mean, he's thirty one. That means he's probably got at least a good seven years to eight years where he can be like prolific. 00:19:19 Speaker 2: I think I think Lebron is kind of I think he's confused people into thinking that that's normal. What he's doing is what Lebron does is not normal, Like his ability to play at that level is not normal. 00:19:32 Speaker 4: Like at some point people really got to start giving Lebron his property. Oh my god, I mean just being yeah. You know, they don't say, hey, bro, they don't appreciate you until you're gone. 00:19:45 Speaker 3: Man, they don't appreciate you till you're gone. 00:19:48 Speaker 4: I just just at some point, like we got to stop with the whole comparisons deal and is he better than like at some point we you know, people are tired of his his act and all these other things, and that man Lebron like has rewritten how we should look at the NBA, how we should look at greatness in the NBA players in the NBA. 00:20:11 Speaker 3: He's rewritten it. 00:20:13 Speaker 4: And and people could come up with as many detracting arguments as they would like, But take a step back for a moment and realize that you're watching history, Like there'll come a point in time where people say the same exact things about about him that they're saying about Michael Jordan, Like you had to have been there to see it. 00:20:31 Speaker 2: They and and for people that weren't there at the time when he was coming out and there was so much hype and expectation for him and he exceeded it. 00:20:43 Speaker 3: How many times? How many times does that happen? 00:20:45 Speaker 4: Where you exceed, like, I don't think there's ever been a more hyped player coming out of high school. And I mean there's some good ones like Kobe's a good one, Kevin Garnett is a good one. That's a good one. Those are good names to throw out. 00:21:00 Speaker 2: I don't think anyone has ever been so hyped in terms of this is literally the next Michael Jordan that's coming in. 00:21:10 Speaker 3: Brady went outlived it. I overhyped it. 00:21:12 Speaker 2: When did you first hear about Lebron? Obviously you guys are in the same class, but was there conversations about him real early, like, hey, this dude's legit. 00:21:21 Speaker 5: Yeah, AU basketball back when we're ten, eleven, twelve years old, you you would know about some of the better AU teams. 00:21:28 Speaker 3: Did you see them, Like where you at in the tournaments with? Yeah, we play in terms so them. Yeah. 00:21:33 Speaker 5: I mean the tough thing is is everyone knew about him, so at that age, that was where your focus was. You're doubling him doing boxing one and then they had a shooter that was like lights out, so you know that was always the hard part is when and then obviously their entire team was super talented, but they know they were I mean, he was as advertised for as long as it's been And I think that's the. 00:21:54 Speaker 3: Other thing that's a lot of press and I. 00:21:56 Speaker 5: Know people have putted this out, but it isn't in credible the life that he's lived where there really hasn't been any controversies maybe outside of the ditty party or something, I don't know, but outside of that stuff, it really has been everything on the court. And this is starting from again a young young age where he was identified as being that sort of special, once in a generation talent. I mean like people are like, oh, it started in high school. Now I started way before that. You know, people knew about him way before that. So the fact that he's had to kind of carry that weight, if you will, or always have eyes on him, and he's done so in an era where you know it it kind of transitioned. Like I always said, we're in the same class, but like we didn't have social media until my senior year of college, you know, camera phones, all that stuff that really didn't come out to my senior year of college. So he has had to adapt to a completely different manner in which he's being covered. When he first got into the league, and you looked at how the league was covered versus how it's covered now. It's night and day, and he's been able to do so successfully without any sort of controversy and everything else that goes along with it. So I have no idea how we got on Lebron, but. 00:23:06 Speaker 4: Just talking about people and being the end of this season and you know, Joannice and how we should be viewing him. I mean, some way, somehow. 00:23:14 Speaker 5: Jonas thinks by the way that Luca's not coming back, so oh he's not, no, no, no, that's over because maybe he'll come back for the second round. 00:23:22 Speaker 2: The problem with that is that they're not going to get to the second round, so they've. 00:23:26 Speaker 4: Got I feel like there could be a three way win with that scenario. If they can win. Because of JJ's coaching, he wins. If they can win and get to Luca coming back, that means that Lebron did what he needed to do. If the if Luca and and who's my other guy that's out right now, Austin reeves, if they can come back and be the the cavalry, so to speak, then you get. 00:23:51 Speaker 2: A three way win at time of how far they go. But that's that's a big win. Yeah, big time for us. Get the up Tops coming in as the Cavalry. How about it? Also, DraftKings has odds on NBA playoff matchups. They got Houston first, Brady, if you had to guess Rockets Lakers, what are the odds to win that series? 00:24:11 Speaker 3: If you had to guess? 00:24:12 Speaker 5: Right now, I've got the Rockets at minus two hundred and Lakers at plus three hundred. 00:24:22 Speaker 3: I don't know. Oh wow, that's that's cool. Give them no change. 00:24:25 Speaker 2: Rockets minus seven to fifty, Lakers plus five to fifty. 00:24:30 Speaker 3: That's ridiculous. 00:24:31 Speaker 2: They sent them home. 00:24:33 Speaker 3: You got no chance. By the way, I think you guys you owe the NFL and NFL owners and apology. I don't know if you guys want to do it now or if you want to do it some other time. 00:28:14 Speaker 3: El us, why. 00:28:16 Speaker 2: Remember that whole collusion thing, the whole when Deshaun Watson got his contract and there was some talk and some speculation that maybe owners got together and colluded against quarterbacks and nobody else got a deal like that. Well, a three person appeals panel on Friday upheld an arbitrator's decision that there wasn't sufficient evidence of collusion by teams of negotiating the contracts of Kyler, Murray, Lamar Jackson, and Russell Wilson in twenty twenty two. According to a copy of the ruling obtained by multiple outlets, while the panel found that Teams were quote being invited to participate in collusion by the NFL and called the effort improper, it ruled that there wasn't enough evidence to prove Teams took part. 00:28:58 Speaker 3: In the leason. 00:28:59 Speaker 2: Okay, so all right, so I think you guys ow them an apology. All right, everything was on the up and up. There were no conversations. 00:29:06 Speaker 5: I need to go to that guy in Mississippi who got Chabliss some eligibility. One of those those judges got that home Cooking for you autograph after the after the verdict. 00:29:18 Speaker 3: That's you need. 00:29:19 Speaker 2: Well to that point, who was the who was the arbitrator? It's an appeals panel. 00:29:27 Speaker 3: But the idea where's that appeals panel gover? 00:29:32 Speaker 2: Probably soda, but the idea that the idea that there were no conversations of owners. When Steve Bashatti literally came out publicly and said, yeah, we understand that you know there's a potential of a contract like this, but we're really sure you want him to be the guy we give the contract to, and we're so publicly critical of it and the idea that owners didn't have a conversation or two about you know, maybe it would be better for everybody if we just didn't give that sort of contract. Ever, again, it's coming and people really like buy that story, like I don't know. That's why there's some of this stuff that comes out where I don't know if it's gas lighting, where everybody knows what is happening here, but they're going to tell you something differently, as if you're stupid and can't figure this out. Of course they got together and had conversations about it. Of course they did like the idea that Deshaun Watson's contract gets done, and we've never seen one like it since when normally once a guy resets the market, then everybody else tries to top that whenever there's a deal done. The fact that there has been no deal like Deshaun Watson, since, I think, tells you everything you need to know about whether or not there was some sort of collusion or conversation being had between owners. 00:30:50 Speaker 5: Here's the problem for the players is if Watson had if it had worked out in Cleveland, where he had played well, he was a pre pro bowler. They're going to the playoffs, winning games, hell, even win a super Bowl. I think you've got a better sense then, of questioning why there hasn't been more guaranteed contracts, because unfortunately, unless this year it turns around, it's been a nightmare for the Browns. It's hamstrung them. They've been tied to it, they can't move out of it, and it hasn't worked out well. And so instead of it being well, hey, this guy got a guaranteed contract. Every the quarterbacks asked for it and it's worked out well for Cleveland, now we look at it, we're saying this is arguably the worst contract from a team standpoint in NFL history. So because of that, every team is scared off. They're all looking at Jimmy has them going, see, that's why we don't do this. That's why we don't sign these guys to fully guaranteed deals for five years. Because there's injury risk, because there's poor performance. 00:31:53 Speaker 3: There's all these other things. Now, you could be like Kirk Cousins and you can. 00:31:56 Speaker 5: Sign shorter term deals that are fully guaranteed, but the reality is as much as this is a part of you know again, how things have worked out for Watson, and in that plays a rolling it. I think in my mind it's also the agents. The agents keep trying to perpetuate that these deals keep climbing, getting more and more and more and more, when in reality, the only thing that matters is the total guarantees, the guarantees, it's signing and the signing bonus. 00:32:24 Speaker 3: That's all that matters. 00:32:26 Speaker 5: But it's hard to be able to keep over, you know, going over top of the next guy at that position, or resetting the market, so it ends up being more of just a talking point for the agents to pump themselves up. So again, this is a more nuanced comp that we have time for. But m I look at it just saying is there collusion? Yeah, of course, but it's gonna be as hard as hell to prove because these guys are obviously rubbing shoulders and saying to each other, see, that's why we don't do what Jimmy did. 00:32:55 Speaker 4: Here's my my, my takeaways from it, and they're super quick. One is that you're now talking about a discussion where obviously, in the moment, the NFL gets a win in this situation because the ruling was it wasn't enough information. But that same committee use the word improper, and there's almost like an admission of the idea that these teams did collude, like it was improper what was taking place, even though we can't confirm it all the way through. Which leads me to my next two. My next two thoughts are when the CBA deal is renegotiated and that's that's handled, that has to be something that the NFLPA has to focus in on and they have to take their attention towards that because that could be a very very pivotal word for a pivotal moment as to how contracts are going to be done after this, after this has taken place. Second thing is we were just talking about the DOJ getting in that ass about the whole I don't know, maybe I did this on Saturday, but the idea of them having the antitrust on their side when they were negotiating their TV contract because this was a rule that was made in the eighties something to that effect. It was something super super long ago and it doesn't apply to how things are done now. So you've negotiated all of these big network situations and these deals, and you have to pay to be able to watch NFL football. Now, the NFL says it's like eighty seven percent of it is what they saying something eighty seven percent or I forget that the percentage, but they were basically saying this percentage of what they have going on is not charged, like it's free for people to see on TV. And the DJ said, ain't enough, Like that's not enough. So add another thing to the list of what the DJ is probably looking at in terms of antitrust as to how they may approach what's going on with the NFL. NFL is out here eating, Bruh. They're out here eating and they're winning wins after one after another. At some point, I mean, maybe the money is so big that that it isn't it doesn't change. But you think at some point, either the government has to get involved with some of these changes and how they're regulating things, or the CBA has to stand on business and not always flop and allow for the NFL to get what they want in these negotiations. 00:35:44 Speaker 2: I just think maybe there's more important things going on for the DOJ to worry about than whether or not Netflix has a fair shot of getting games next year. 00:35:53 Speaker 3: That's fair enough. 00:35:54 Speaker 4: But they want that tax money. I want that money. I want that cash, all right, I want that money. 00:36:02 Speaker 2: All I feel like there's you know, bigger issues going on. But all right, let's let's do a deep dive as to whether or not Amazon Prime's got the same opportunity as CBS. 00:36:11 Speaker 4: I want that cash. The deal is outdated. I want the cash. No protections here. 00:36:17 Speaker 3: Fair enough. 00:36:18 Speaker 2: It is the Dan Patrick Show here on Fox Sports Radio. LeVar Arrington, Brady, Quinn, Jonas Knox in for Dan and the guys. What up? 00:37:48 Speaker 7: Brady? 00:37:48 Speaker 3: Well, it's time for the leftovers? 00:37:50 Speaker 7: And I actually have a leftover for this one's specific for you Jonas. Yeah, so we have Coach Ella not saying that you were there wanting to go there, but we had Coachella, right well, a lot of people various you know, players, and everybody slept me there pretty much. 00:38:05 Speaker 3: If he's yes, well this one goes for you. 00:38:08 Speaker 7: Jonas, we had a Chicago Bear in attendance, which one, Oh, I don't know. 00:38:13 Speaker 3: The quarterback Caleb Williams. 00:38:14 Speaker 7: Is there, right, shocker, right well, the big story about him being there isn't just that he was there, it's who he was hanging out with. Jonas and well, he was hanging out with Kylie and Kendall Jenner. So a lot of fans they're. 00:38:29 Speaker 3: Losing their minds right now. 00:38:30 Speaker 2: The curse of the kardashi could have been well, I would have taken that anyways, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, who who are the other people? 00:38:43 Speaker 3: I don't know the other people. But he was hanging with Caleb Williams. 00:38:47 Speaker 2: And now how do you know that he wasn't there on a talking business about a new nail polish that they were designer. 00:38:52 Speaker 4: Yeah, he could be the kryptonite to the Kardashians. I wouldn't get too carried away on that. Caylup is cool. He's straight kryptonite. Baby, Yeah, put it together. I might have went over your head. 00:39:03 Speaker 2: Come on, you know, it's a kind of an interesting offseason for the Bears. Caleb Williams trying to trademark Iceman, they still don't have a stadium figured out, and then they're bitching because they didn't get compensatory picks for the Ian Cunningham. 00:39:21 Speaker 3: Hire in Atlanta. 00:39:22 Speaker 4: You best believe there's a correlation between him trying to get Iceman and being with the Kardashians. Though, Oh, I think that, come on, man, put that together. That one might have went over some of y'all's head. Put it together, man, Iceman one of them? What who Kylie and Kendall? 00:39:41 Speaker 1: Yeah? 00:39:42 Speaker 4: Yeah, so one of them is a billionaire off of beauty products. I'm certain that you could find a product that fits the terminology Iceman. 00:39:55 Speaker 5: I'm seeing the current odds for the Chicago Bears in twenty twenty six and half wins, the under is the slight favorite and minus one twenty. 00:40:05 Speaker 3: How many losses? Well, the under it depends. No, no, no, it's not how many long from from nine wins from nine wins? I got you. Nine and a half is the nine. So do you think they get to nine and eight? Do they do better? Than I think they'll do better than that next year eight nine. I'm taking that they'll take the under. You're taking the under. 00:40:24 Speaker 2: I'm taking the under by Would you guys feel different about this story hay towards Caleb? 00:40:28 Speaker 3: Would you guys just the curse? 00:40:31 Speaker 2: Would you guys feel different about this story if he was hanging out with Caitlyn Jenner? 00:40:38 Speaker 3: I mean, I'm just tryed. 00:40:41 Speaker 4: Hey mag, Hey, bruh, you waited until eight fifty four to throw out your best singer. 00:40:49 Speaker 3: I'm just trying to figure out where this hell like. 00:40:53 Speaker 4: Man, let's go to the next show, mag, I feel like these that dropped the microphone, it's all over. 00:40:58 Speaker 3: You killed it, like so good.
