00:00:02 Speaker 1: Hey, everyone, Welcome back to bet Your Happy Hour. I'm Joe and I am here with a special co host today, Charity Charity. Welcome to betcher Happy Hour. 00:00:11 Speaker 2: Thank you Joe. This is crazy that we're co hosting together. Who would have ever thought. 00:00:15 Speaker 1: I know, I know, well you've you've probably been on this podcast more than anyone. I would think a little bit. 00:00:22 Speaker 3: Yeah, I've had my fair turns of interviewing with you all, but this is a different this is a different side. 00:00:28 Speaker 2: I'm excited. 00:00:30 Speaker 1: You know, you have to show up now, you really really Yeah, Actually that's not true. I would say there's probably there's probably more pressure being the one that's being interviewed. 00:00:40 Speaker 2: You think, yeah, yeah, I don't. I feel like I'm a loose cannon. So when I'm interviewing, I'm just like or being interviewed. I don't really care. I don't think too much. 00:00:48 Speaker 1: I don't feel like yeah, but like when I could just like, since I'm doing the interview, I could just badger you with questions. If like somebody's like very like you know, they answer you know, very quickly, I could just keep going with question. Well, I don't know. 00:01:02 Speaker 2: Fin it depends, It depends on the person. 00:01:04 Speaker 1: It really does. I don't know what I'm saying. This is starting off starting off from Okay, let's let's get into it. So we have hometowns, and the first hometown is Juliana in Newton, Massachusetts. I will say, Grant is giving me like I'm tired energy. 00:01:25 Speaker 2: Okay, so I was. 00:01:26 Speaker 3: I thought it was just like I was like, okay, this is the first but like first hometown episode. What is my thoughts of Grant? But like I don't know, like his energy was. I'm sorry, I love Grant. 00:01:38 Speaker 2: But I'm like it was giving nothing. 00:01:40 Speaker 3: I was like, Okay, this poor man is probably exhausted, and like rightfully so his season is going by truly so fast. So I could only like I think I was on the same like recording or filming schedule as him, maybe one week longer. But it's just like I know at this point, you were like he's beat tired. So I saw it all over his face, his mannerisms, and I'm like, okay, is it just Juliana. But I think he was like that probably with everyone, which was like okay, every. 00:02:08 Speaker 1: Every single every single hometown. I was like, this guy, either, this guy is really exhausted or he's just. 00:02:13 Speaker 2: Like completely. 00:02:18 Speaker 1: So we go, we go to a pizza place. It's really like your stereotypical Italian neighborhood by the being about the boom, you know, the fucking pizza. Come, let's make a pizza. Yeah, they went. They they got Canole's. I don't like Connole's personally, never had. 00:02:35 Speaker 2: We Actually I've had one. I don't think I'm a fan either. 00:02:38 Speaker 1: To be honest, what's your favorite dessert? 00:02:41 Speaker 2: Italian dessert or in. 00:02:42 Speaker 1: General, let's do Italian dessert? 00:02:45 Speaker 2: Is cheesecake Italian? Right? 00:02:47 Speaker 1: No, does it sound Italian? Cheesecake? Couldn't be more American cheesecake. That is that cheesecake is America. That is what we would think that I. 00:02:59 Speaker 2: Said out with the most confidence ever, is a cheesecake. 00:03:03 Speaker 3: I don't even know if I've had an Italian desert, that's crazy, don't have. 00:03:08 Speaker 1: Have you ever had Tara Massu? 00:03:10 Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not my favorite though, Okay, that's feah fair like my mine's panacatta that's my favorite. 00:03:19 Speaker 1: It's just like heavy cream. 00:03:20 Speaker 3: Really literally not do that would do not wonders on my stomach truly. 00:03:26 Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's how Serena is too okay, So we go, we go to her hometown. We go to a family party. There's like a thousand people there. 00:03:33 Speaker 2: I literally was like, this is the biggest home. 00:03:34 Speaker 3: Like I don't know, maybe because I'm used to just not that many people, at least when I was a lead, but like, I was like, this is the biggest hometown I've seen In a minute. There was so many people in the backyard. I was like, this is crazy, like poor grand. 00:03:47 Speaker 1: And Latia's I mean, we'll talk about Latia's hometown, yes, but that also no insane. 00:03:53 Speaker 2: That's an I'm sorry. 00:03:53 Speaker 3: As a lead, that is a nightmare, like walking in knowing that you have to make your rounds to that many people. And keep in mind, we're we just got through talking about how tired Grant is. 00:04:02 Speaker 2: He's probably like, fuck. 00:04:04 Speaker 1: Okay, okay, but Harry, you were you were a lead, Yeah, for your first hometown. Ever, would you rather walk into a big party like that or more of an intimate setting with just like the parents and a brother. 00:04:20 Speaker 2: Intimate any day? 00:04:21 Speaker 3: Give me intimately, Like I'd rather have like substantial like conversations like one on one rather than like. 00:04:29 Speaker 2: Like I'm just not I'm good at small talk. 00:04:31 Speaker 3: But I don't, like, it's not something I want to do with like thirty plus people, not at all, Like that's so exhausting. I'm so sorry, And I feel like people, at least for me, it's like once you have those conversations like over and over, people can kind of like pick up like either you're like not feeling it or you're just like trying to get it over with, And that's not how I want someone to like read me, if that makes sense. 00:04:52 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's fair. I prefer to the other way. Yeah, I prefer to be thrown in the lions. Then I want my first one to be insane, because of course then I'll just feel good, like and then I'll feel like like I know what I'm doing after because then everything will be easier. 00:05:07 Speaker 2: Yeah, but no, you think, but it doesn't always go that way. 00:05:12 Speaker 1: I would just I don't know, I just I you know, I feel like talking to parents is just awkward in general, like that first meaning and then like having to do it. It is setting where like you're dating other people and they know and they know you're on a show, and they're like is this even real? And you're like, I think I'm in love, but I don't know if I'm in love. It's just like it's like what are we what are we supposed to say? Here? What did you? How do you feel about this hometown in general? 00:05:45 Speaker 3: Okay, So I like, obviously I think like Grant and Juliana are like compatible to a certain extent, but I feel like and they're very they're very cute together, so like I love them together. I just feel like, at least watch this episode or just like their relationship and how it's progressed up until this point. Like I feel like they're each other's like safe space, but I don't know if it's necessarily like the good safe space, if that makes sense. I feel like it's like the safe route or the safe option. Like I they obviously have like disclosed the law. 00:06:17 Speaker 1: Interesting, so you think you think this is they're like this would be like a settle, like they're settling. 00:06:26 Speaker 3: I don't like using that word because it sounds so bad when you say it out loud, like. 00:06:29 Speaker 1: I'm saying it does, but that's really what you're saying. That's what you're saying saying. 00:06:33 Speaker 3: I think it's like and you know, we still have a couple of weeks, so I'm like maybe like the depth of it will progress, and I think that's just what I'm waiting for. Like obviously their their last one on one date was like they you know, Juliana shared like what she went through like as a child and growing up, like things that were really impactful and it really aligned like very similarly with Grant, and I thought that was like, Okay, this is really great for them because they can definitely like resonate on that together. But to me, I still feel like I'm like I'm waiting for like I don't know, like it's. 00:07:04 Speaker 2: Just a spark, you don't, yeah, Like I feel I'm. 00:07:07 Speaker 3: Like, Okay, it's like it's cute, but I'm like I want to feel like, Okay, this is like hobby. 00:07:12 Speaker 2: I don't know. 00:07:13 Speaker 1: I will. I will say that was one thing we we always when we were watching the show always said about you and Dotton was there was there was that initial spark there yeah, and it progressed as the season went on. We were like, oh yeah, he used two really love each other where I I kind of agree. I feel like I think Grant really likes Juliana and I think she really likes him. Yeah, but I think they really like each other. 00:07:42 Speaker 3: No, it's it's without liking. No, it's they definitely like each other. I am not like discounting that at. 00:07:47 Speaker 1: All, No, but that's what I'm That's what I'm saying. When you were when you were talking to Dotton, I remember Serena and I were like, oh, Charity's like in love with this guy. Literally, yeah, but it could also be it could also be both of their personalities too, right, And that's the thing. 00:08:05 Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm like I don't really know. 00:08:06 Speaker 3: Like, well what we see from Juliana, but like, I mean, we've seen her in different roles like on the show already, so I'm like she seems like she's someone who is, you know, bold and like has a personality. But I think like when she gets with Grant, she kind of like what's the word I'm looking for, not like going a little bit of a shill. 00:08:26 Speaker 2: It's just like it becomes very like cute. See. 00:08:28 Speaker 3: I don't know, I sound really bad saying this, And I'm not like they're so cute. 00:08:33 Speaker 2: And I like they I love them together, but I'm just like, hmmm. 00:08:36 Speaker 1: Like it's like, yeah, something's missing. 00:08:39 Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. 00:08:40 Speaker 1: Basically, Juliana talks about like being hurt in her past. And I'm not trying to discredit that at all, but I feel like every season we have someone. 00:08:50 Speaker 2: I know. 00:08:52 Speaker 1: You did you you were someone that's been hurt in your past, like everyone. 00:08:56 Speaker 2: I was like I watched her package and I was like, yeah, same story. I was like me too, girl. 00:09:00 Speaker 1: Yeah, well, everybody that goes out the Bachelor, for the most part, has been hurt in the past. 00:09:05 Speaker 3: Or its almost like it's a pre work. You cannot get on this show without being hurt. 00:09:09 Speaker 1: So for sure, what did you think the parents? I feel I felt like the parents conversation was pretty solid. I think, yeah, I feel like Grant knew how to talk to her father and like they were kind. 00:09:21 Speaker 2: Of a really good job. 00:09:23 Speaker 1: Yeah, they were kind of on the same page. I think he like, like the Italian father really wanted. I feel like he knew like how to talk to him and he did a really good job. 00:09:32 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:09:33 Speaker 3: It worked definitely, Like yeah, set in that role like one hundred percent, Like he was like a little like you know very much, dad. But I think as a lead, I feel like it can sway either way with like obviously the conversations with parents and some people can get really intimidated and not answer those like in depth. But I think Granted like a phenomenal job, Like he was not backing out. I think he was very like transparent actually about his feelings, which I really admire because that's obviously parents number one question coming in. It's like have you said I love you yet? 00:10:06 Speaker 2: Like where do you know? Where does my daughter fall? Which I hate. 00:10:09 Speaker 3: I'm like, why are you asking to rank your daughter right now? Like is she never one? Is she number two? 00:10:15 Speaker 2: But like it's a fair question and from a parent standpoint, I get it. But he did really good. Yeah. 00:10:27 Speaker 1: I liked when he was showing the mom his. 00:10:29 Speaker 2: Tattoo, Okay, wrote that she looks like. 00:10:32 Speaker 1: A real housewife of like New Jersey. 00:10:34 Speaker 3: In my notes, right, I said the lone wolf tattoo showing to the mom sent me like I was like, not the mom getting a glimpse of the lone wolf. 00:10:43 Speaker 1: I was like, here, yeah that was I thought that was funny. I actually wrote that down too, Okay, and then uh yeah, Grant at the end says he's falling for her. Yeah, I mean, I mean I think I think he is. I mean it seems that way. 00:11:01 Speaker 2: Yeah, I do too. I think. 00:11:04 Speaker 3: I do feel like there is, and I'll get in depth. I'll like wrap up my entire thoughts once we like talk about all. 00:11:10 Speaker 2: Of the hometowns in that way, it'll make more sense. 00:11:13 Speaker 3: But like I think I still stand by what I said of like it just seems safe, Like it seems like okay. 00:11:18 Speaker 2: Like he feels safe with her, she feels safe with him. But it's like, is. 00:11:22 Speaker 3: It like full confirmation that this, without a doubt is my person? And I feel I might still have like a little bit of doubts with each other, but hopefully we'll see, Like you know. 00:11:32 Speaker 1: Overnights, I mean overnights could change that in. 00:11:35 Speaker 2: One thousand perc and we know we truly know. 00:11:40 Speaker 1: Okay, Moving GD to Zoe in New York. 00:11:46 Speaker 2: Yeah, I have a soft spot for Zoe. I'm not gonna lie. 00:11:50 Speaker 1: I like Zoe. I like Zoe. I thought, I mean, it's a hometown, but like also a date because they're like doing like she's putting on wedding dresses, like the wedding dress photo shoot thing. I just thought was a little strange for me too. 00:12:07 Speaker 2: I literally wrote, I was like, bad luck. This is not good. 00:12:11 Speaker 1: Yeah, bad luck for sure. And it felt like it felt like Zoe didn't get a one on one date and they're like, Okay, here's your one on one date. 00:12:22 Speaker 3: No, literally, I was like, this is like a copy paste of like a previous like Bachelor date that a group date would have happened, or maybe even a one on one day in previous season. So they're like, Okay, we'll use it for her hometown, which I did like that they emphasized and they focused on like what Zoe was like most comfortable with, and I did like that was like really nice to see. You can kind of see her stepping out of her like show. But I'm like, Zoe's never had a problem like stepping out of her show all season. Like she's been fine, Like girl has been standing on her own. She is quite independent, like she'll say what she needs to say. But I think, just like I could tell with Graham, like he was definitely a little like timid with that date. And I don't know why, but I read listen, I'm a reader of body language. 00:13:05 Speaker 2: I was like, I don't know if brands really like messing with this date. 00:13:09 Speaker 1: Well, I think I think Grant. I think Grant. I I don't know if he chooses Zoe. But I don't think he does. And I think he I think. 00:13:18 Speaker 2: You say that just because okay I say it. 00:13:21 Speaker 1: No, No, No, I just think I don't. I just don't think he's picking her. I I think I just she didn't get a one on one date, and I think Carolina shot herself in the foot, and it was like, I'll just take Zoe. I'll take Zoe over Carolina. 00:13:40 Speaker 2: Not like like that's what I'm saying. 00:13:43 Speaker 3: He also had Alex and Serafina, So I'm like he had options. 00:13:46 Speaker 1: Yeah he did, Yeah, he did have options. Maybe I don't know. Yeah, maybe maybe I'm wrong, But I will say, like the wedding dress, like having to put on a wedding dress. I yeah, that's bad luck. I don't like that. 00:13:58 Speaker 2: Yeah. No. 00:13:58 Speaker 3: And I could only imagine from his standpoint too, like obviously taking someone or going into someone's hometown without a one on one date, which that. 00:14:07 Speaker 2: Was his choice. Like I said, like obviously he sat. 00:14:10 Speaker 3: There at the Row ceremony and he had to make a like a decision, which I'm still to this day trying to figure out, like not in a bad way, because like Zoe's gray and she also deserves like you know her opportunity to like progress her relationship with Graham. But I'm in my head and just from what we've seen, it's like, Okay, well we had Alex or Seraphina. He also had one on one time with Like how how come they didn't get like chosen? And that makes it's just a giant question mark in my head because going into hometown without a one on one date, Like I I was in the same position last year. I was like, oh, it could be Tanner, but like I didn't, like it just didn't work. 00:14:45 Speaker 2: And I was like, I'm not taking I could have never been. But let's let's be real. It could have never But I was. 00:14:51 Speaker 3: Like, you know, I was trying to give everyone a chance, and like it didn't happen. 00:14:55 Speaker 2: So I was like, you're not, Like it's just not gonna work. 00:14:57 Speaker 3: You're not coming to hometown without a one on one and so like to see Grant handle this, like I just don't know. I feel like there was a lot of uncertainty, like a lot of like doubts. 00:15:07 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't think you're wrong at all. 00:15:10 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:15:11 Speaker 1: He Zoe's stepparents. She said she cut ties with them a year ago. She was adopted, but I have a question, is her sister was there? Is that her real sister or is that. 00:15:25 Speaker 2: I want to say, her real sister? I believe so Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think she mentioned it earlier on in this season. 00:15:35 Speaker 1: So the one thing that really stuck out to me during this hometown was when Grant was talking to the sister okay, and I personally think he was essentially like, yeah, like, I'm not choosing, I'm not choosing. 00:15:52 Speaker 2: So oh wait, okay did I wait? I need to know how did you pick up on that? 00:15:56 Speaker 3: Because I'm like, I'm looking at my notes and I'm like, okay, I said they were both voting back. Yeah, the parent conversation went well, but I don't I didn't make any notes about the sister conversation. 00:16:06 Speaker 2: Wait, tell me. 00:16:08 Speaker 1: Well, because he said he's falling for Juliana and he looked I think he really respects Zoe and I think he really likes Zoe, and he emphasized like he told the sister, I really like Zoe. 00:16:22 Speaker 2: That's a good catch because I also like. 00:16:26 Speaker 1: So I and I think she read it as well where she's kind of like, okay, yeah, I think he's just not going to choose my sister, but he respects her, and that's kind of That's how I read it. 00:16:38 Speaker 2: Interesting. 00:16:39 Speaker 3: Yeah, the sister seemed she's somewhat seemed oddly at peace after their conversation. I did get that vibe, but I don't think I it registered to me that in a way that she like had a way of knowing that her sister was going to be fine, but it wasn't going to be with him. 00:16:55 Speaker 2: I don't know. 00:16:56 Speaker 1: That's okay, watch it again, watch it again. 00:16:59 Speaker 2: I will have to go back. Oh like not the infantim won't really like okay, grand relax. 00:17:05 Speaker 1: Overall, What do you think about this hometown? 00:17:08 Speaker 2: I thought it was good. I mean it was it was good. 00:17:11 Speaker 3: I think it you know, I really do like how they emphasized, you know, a non traditional family like format, and like Zobe's story really is like super special in my eyes. 00:17:23 Speaker 2: And I think she does like. 00:17:26 Speaker 3: Carry herself well and like her aunt said, just as a very resilient person. 00:17:31 Speaker 2: So you definitely see that. 00:17:33 Speaker 3: But yeah, like I think it was definitely a little bit of like not tension, but just like, okay, we are both going into this like really unknown because like you said, it's like they didn't have a one on one they don't have like anything to kind of like come in with just singular time together apart from like group dates or whatever else. 00:17:54 Speaker 2: But their little conversations. 00:17:55 Speaker 3: I guess leading up is why Brant said he like chose her for hometowns, So it may make sense like they share similarities to some extent. But yeah, I think it was a safe It was a safe hometown. Again, I don't think it was like it didn't really. 00:18:08 Speaker 2: Like oh hit me. 00:18:10 Speaker 1: Okay, so yeah, same, I agree. So you put Juliana in as like safe, like the relationships like safe kind of settling. Maybe maybe that spark you're not seeing it yet. Where's Zoey? 00:18:27 Speaker 2: She's below that? But like so safe? 00:18:30 Speaker 1: Yeah, I get right. 00:18:32 Speaker 3: I'm trying not to use like in correct words, but like, okay, Zoe's is like a step below. But like what you said, Grant respects her. So I think to that if you like look at safe in that sense of like, Okay, I respect you, I have a lot of respect for you, and I I like you, But like I don't think it's gonna go like I don't know if it's anything more than this, you know. 00:18:53 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, No, that's how I feel too. 00:18:54 Speaker 2: I would feel like, yeah, I think I would be really shocked, but I don't know. 00:19:00 Speaker 1: So, okay, so now we're going into Mormon country. We're we're going We're going no, no, no, okay, So Letia is Mormon. 00:19:19 Speaker 2: Mm hmm. 00:19:21 Speaker 1: Do you think she should have shared that information with Grant earlier because I feel like she just dropped that before hometowns. 00:19:32 Speaker 2: Yeah. So the thing is is like part of me wonders if it came up, like maybe in like a small conversation, but it was like let's continue this later. You know how that happens. 00:19:43 Speaker 3: It's like okay, like I bring up something or you bring up something, and it's like we don't have enough time to really like dive into this, but I want to save this for like a space where where you are like alone. So I do wonder if it came up. Obviously, I don't know, but I do agree. I'm like, Okay, that is a little bit much. 00:19:58 Speaker 2: To like draw on him. 00:20:01 Speaker 3: But I think she they probably had like a mutual understanding of just like in her head at least, like Letia like knowing, okay, you take. 00:20:10 Speaker 2: Faith very serious. 00:20:11 Speaker 3: So like she probably thought not much about it, if if that makes sense, But I obviously now, like I've been reading up on Mormon religion, and I'm like, okay, I have never known Mormons, like any Mormons growing up, so I didn't realize how intensive a religion it is and all respect to it. But for Grant, who I don't think obviously is not Mormon, it could be a bit of a life adjustment. 00:20:35 Speaker 2: And I think when he well. 00:20:36 Speaker 1: I guess, but I guess only if if she like wanted him to convert to Mormonism, which it doesn't seem like she does, doesn't seem like that. 00:20:45 Speaker 2: I'm like, did she. 00:20:46 Speaker 3: Even mention that. I don't think she did. She just like I'm from, like you know, I am of Mormon faith. I gree at Mormon religion. So it's like I don't think she ever mentioned like I need this, like this is going to be a part of my life with you in it. I think she just was sharing, like this is how I have been raised. And so I think that's like a different lens that people should like consider because I think, like, obviously they're two grown adults, like she's going to make the best decision in him too. For their lives together if Yeah, and she. 00:21:13 Speaker 1: Did mention when she wants her kids to grow up in the church, so that's also that's also like his because he might be like, no, like I don't want that, and that that could be a deal breaker. 00:21:26 Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, no, so yeah, it's it's interesting, but I definitely do think that she could have or should have said it a little bit earlier. 00:21:36 Speaker 1: Are you are you religious? 00:21:38 Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm Christian? 00:21:39 Speaker 1: So you're Christian? Now? Is that now? It's none of my business what what you and Dalton want to do. But like if Donton was like, no, I don't want to raise my kids with the Christian faith, would that have been a deal breaker for you? Oh really? Okay? 00:21:56 Speaker 2: Yeah, okay yeah. 00:21:57 Speaker 3: And the thing is it's like I'm like, I take like my relationship with or my faith like as a personal relationship with God, and like so does so does Dawan, which is like where there is an alignment, like I try not to get to like caught up on just like you know, religion and like the code of all of that, because I think that's where a lot of people like it can get very tricky. But like ask me, I will talk about my relationship with God, I will talk about my faith and that's where it is, and I plan to do that for my kids. So I think that's where like the alignment happens. 00:22:30 Speaker 2: But yeah, like it would. 00:22:31 Speaker 3: Be a deal break if he was like absolutely not my kids that. 00:22:36 Speaker 1: You know, Yeah, absolutely that Okay. So we get we go to Wyoming, beautiful, beautiful house. Another another like we're not it's not intimate. There is one hundred people on the front lawn. 00:22:49 Speaker 2: No, it's insane. I was like, what is this acation? 00:22:52 Speaker 1: Yeah, it was. It was. It was wild. And they're doing like the Mormon thing where they make they make sodas, you know that's a big thing. 00:23:02 Speaker 3: Yes, I didn't even know. This is what I'm saying. I'm reading up on a lot of things. I'm like, SODA's a big deal. 00:23:07 Speaker 1: Yeah, ye Grant. Grant was. He was definitely panicking prior. This was the date. I thought he was the most nervous going into it. 00:23:16 Speaker 2: Seemed like absolutely absolutely his energy really off that day. 00:23:21 Speaker 1: But I thought, I mean, the family like they seem to be fully acceptant of him, and we're totally like, hey, like we're Mormon, this is what we believe. You don't need to do that. We're we accept you either way, just as long as you're a man of. 00:23:39 Speaker 3: Faith faith, which I like. I think that was the point in the episode. I was like, I really do admire them vocalizing that and verbalizing that to him. It was really important because I think in his mind that like definitely lifted a weight off his shoulders. He probably was like oh my god the whole time. But he's like okay, and like you can even tell that like his. 00:23:58 Speaker 2: Interview after Yeah, yeah, his energy. 00:24:00 Speaker 3: Definitely like it was a lot like looser and happier after having that conversation with the parents. 00:24:07 Speaker 2: And I really like, I love that. I just loved it. And her family is very sweet. 00:24:12 Speaker 1: Very yeah. I mean I would have walk in. I would have been like, all right, I guess fuck it, I'm lying, I'll be a Mormon, let's go, let's go people. But I really, I really, I really like Letilla. I think she's got a great personality. I I think they to me, I feel like they're the strongest, like they have the strongest connection. I agree for sure. 00:24:40 Speaker 2: Right one thousand percent. 00:24:41 Speaker 3: And I say this because I'm like, this is in comparison to everyone else. I feel like the conversation like substance, like the depth of it, it goes beyond surface level, and like that is what I'm looking for as a you were watching this like Okay, how can I like distinguish between who potentially is going to like possibly be or become the fiance the wife later down the road. And it's like I feel like they are conversations of what is shown at least is telling us like Okay, this is like solid material, like this is a strong relationship. 00:25:19 Speaker 1: Yeah, he really like opened up to her. 00:25:22 Speaker 2: I thought every time they're talking. 00:25:27 Speaker 1: I mean, he's shown up to everybody else's house half tired, and then letia, he's opening up his heart. So I'm just like, yeah, like this, this to me is a no brainer. And I and I felt I was like, Okay, she dropped you know, Mormon. I don't want to be like, oh, she dropped the Mormon bomb on him, because it's not that big of a deal, but she essentially opened up about about being Mormon. 00:25:51 Speaker 2: Mm hm. 00:25:52 Speaker 1: And I could sense like some hesitation, like Grant worrying if they were going to accept him or not. But then after the date, they were so good at being like we fully accept you regardless to me, I'm kind of like, oh, then, how do you not like Letia is who you're choosing exactly? 00:26:09 Speaker 3: And that's exactly how I felt, I will say, and I wanted to see if you closed this when watching that episode when he sat down with I don't know if it was Litia's mom or. 00:26:21 Speaker 2: Her stepdad when they were mentioning. 00:26:24 Speaker 3: Like her timeline of like how quickly she wanted to have kids? 00:26:28 Speaker 2: Did you did you mint? Like did you peep that? And I kind of yeah, so I made a note. 00:26:34 Speaker 3: It was like they had a conversation to where Again, we don't know if Lytia talked about it or I don't know, maybe I missed it if she talked about this with Grant, but like basically her timeline of wanting to have kids like very very soon, and I wonder like too, And he didn't seem like it was like off putting, but I could tell he was like a little like, okay, like this. 00:26:54 Speaker 2: Is possibly new information in me. 00:26:56 Speaker 3: I could be wrong, but like seeing him take that in, I was like, oh, really interesting to have her parents kind of introduce that new concept to him about like where she was at in her life of like Okay, she's gonna want to have kids like in the next year or two. 00:27:09 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah that could be. You know. The truth is now that you mentioned that Grant hasn't really vocalized much about wanting to like start a family and have kids on this in this entire season, and I feel like the most leads usually talk about that. 00:27:26 Speaker 3: Yeah, he says he wants a family, but like that's as that's as much as we get. We don't go in specific, so like I want to be like I'm ready to have like. 00:27:34 Speaker 2: Be a dad like soon. It's just like I want a family. 00:27:37 Speaker 1: Oh okay, I want a family in fifteen years. That's when I want a family. I also wrote out that they played tugle war. I just was like thinking that was crazy. 00:27:46 Speaker 3: That was a Grant please let go, like he like did not let go of the rope, and how he was getting dried. 00:27:52 Speaker 1: If this was my hope toil that I had something dare were playing tugle war in the front, he would lily be like, go fuck yourself. You think I'm getting up and playing war war? But yeah, overall, I feel like this is the strongest couple. Yeah yeah, okay, now now we go to Chicago, Dina, she says that her family's not going to be there, which her parents not being there. I hate that really bothers me. 00:28:24 Speaker 3: No, if I started, like I literally started crying for her and like also for Grant, but mainly for her, because you can tell that she was like slightly disappointed. I don't know if she knew that going into hometown that her parents weren't going to like show up or like be willing to participate, but like hearing her, like the whole, like the whole tone of the day was just it. 00:28:44 Speaker 2: Was very like said, it was just sad. 00:28:48 Speaker 3: There was nothing I'm sorry, like gorgeous, girl, beautiful, smart, all the above, but there was nothing that was like positive about it besides her friends being there and supporting her. It was really me, really sad because I was like, I just wonder like if it would have been different, if that makes sense, and I'm sure it would have. 00:29:06 Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sure would have. But for for me, it's like I I could totally get behind and understand you not even liking the show and being like somewhat against what the show is and what it represents, right, fine, but like be there for your kid, like this is your kid, like like be there. Like to me, that's like that's showing more immaturity than what you think the show is, right, right. 00:29:32 Speaker 2: I have to put all things aside truly, because I'm like, yeah, like it's your kid exactly. Like I was like, oh, like I mean literally same almost same. I was like, my like we. 00:29:40 Speaker 3: Obviously we just got through talking about my religion being of Christian faith, like we grew up in the church. Like obviously none of this the concept of this show is probably against everybody's religion, Like no one's supposed to be dating eighty eight people at. 00:29:54 Speaker 2: The same time, so like everyone loses, but. 00:29:57 Speaker 3: Like my parents would have never like just not and like, I just feel so much for her because I could tell like she was probably thinking in that moment, like is this going to change the course of our relationship? 00:30:09 Speaker 2: Like the whole day, and I wish she. 00:30:11 Speaker 3: Could have probably enjoyed it, and she was obviously really happy to like we see her friends come and support her. But I don't know, like I feel like in the back of her mind she was always thinking about. 00:30:20 Speaker 1: That, Yeah, yeah, I was nice having your friends there. I I actually thought, Grant, that was the most relaxed. Grant seemed to. 00:30:30 Speaker 2: Be okay, well, yeah, it was like it was nothing. 00:30:34 Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll hang I'll just hang out, let's like do whatever. Yeah, like zero pressure. I don't think like I don't think. I don't think he was picking Dina ever. 00:30:46 Speaker 2: Really well, yeah, I don't really have. I mean, from what I saw, like not a whole ton of chemistry. 00:30:52 Speaker 1: No, it just seems more of the it's more of the safe friendship. 00:30:56 Speaker 2: Like the colleague relationship. 00:30:57 Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like the relations like I trust, like he trusts the Dina. Like when Dina said something about Carolina, He's like, Okay, I trust what you're saying. So I think it was definitely more of like a friend zone. So I don't really think the parents being there were was make our break, But I just think for her, like it would have been nice to have that support. 00:31:20 Speaker 3: And like, yeah, it just was really sad when I think, well, we'll get there when we got back to once we get back to LA. 00:31:28 Speaker 1: But yeah, so okay, so we're there, we go to because we don't really have to talk much more about this. Yeah, we go to uh, we go to LA and he sends Dina home and she was kind of like, yeah, like it makes sense. 00:31:42 Speaker 3: She wasn't really a very accepting and I will applaug her on that because I was like, we didn't see a whole I mean, like it was sad, but we didn't see crocodile tears. 00:31:52 Speaker 2: It wasn't the dramatic. 00:31:53 Speaker 3: She was just very like practical about it, which I was like, yes, girl, absolutely like you you had. 00:31:59 Speaker 2: Your head in the right place this whole time. 00:32:01 Speaker 3: And the reality of it is like it's probably going to be very hard for anybody to like considering the basis of the show is like in two weeks you were getting engaged, and you would want your parents blessing. That would probably also if they chose to not come again, they would never like meet. 00:32:17 Speaker 2: The guy that you're proposed or who's proposing to you. That's crazy. 00:32:20 Speaker 3: So I I love that she just had a good outlook on that and it wasn't like a whole like super sad sad moment for her. It's more like empowering and just like okay, straight to the point. 00:32:29 Speaker 1: Yeah, and she she just comes up. She seems very intelligent and like pretty socially aware, and I think she just I just think she knew like I didn't like, like, I think like if if he sent Latilla home, I think we all would have been like shocked, including her. 00:32:43 Speaker 2: It would have been like what would have been gagged? 00:32:45 Speaker 1: Yeah, what the what the fuck? But now, okay, so now we have we have Latia, Zoe, and Juliana mm hmm. And to me, yeah, like the front runner right now is Latia, and then I would I would I would put Juliana ahead of her, and then and then Zobe. Yeah, but I mean overnights could change things. 00:33:07 Speaker 2: Overnights can change a lot of things. 00:33:10 Speaker 1: You think, so like overnight could change your decision, right, it really can. 00:33:15 Speaker 3: I'm telling you the conversations that you have and overnights if you're doing them right, Yes, a lot of things. 00:33:23 Speaker 2: A lot of things like. 00:33:25 Speaker 1: Or they don't that's. 00:33:26 Speaker 2: What they know one of the other. 00:33:30 Speaker 1: Yeah, but yeah, yeah, I think I think home or overnights could definitely change things. Overall. I think it was pretty pretty standard hometowns. I think this is the first time we got like two houses where we had like eighty five family members there. Yeah, but yeah, pretty pretty straightforward. 00:33:51 Speaker 3: Any else, I was like shocked at the girls got to see like we did not get to see each other after hometown. 00:33:57 Speaker 2: Oh really Yeah, I was like not them having. 00:33:59 Speaker 3: Like Kumbaya moment and like sip in like whatever, like at a bar. 00:34:04 Speaker 2: I was like, this is crazy. I was like, I love that they got to see each other. 00:34:07 Speaker 3: I would have really loved talking. But that's when I also knew that. I think Dina was like, yeah, it's not me or it's not going to be me, because the girls were sharing all of their experiences of like how good their hometowns were, and then she was like, well, like my parents didn't come, and then you can kind of see like Drianna's face like it was like she almost all ghost. 00:34:24 Speaker 2: She was like what, Like I couldn't believe it. 00:34:26 Speaker 3: So I think she knew and that that also broke my heart for her. But yeah, it was a overall decent hometown. 00:34:34 Speaker 1: It was a fast season, I it really. I know they said it was shorter, but it really felt shorter. 00:34:40 Speaker 3: No, it Like I also feel like the length of the dates were just or like maybe like again substance of the dates, it just didn't have a whole lot. So like that's also like we'll make it feel a lot faster. 00:34:50 Speaker 2: So God bless Grant truly. 00:34:53 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I agree. All right, that is it for our recap.
