Gone montoa calling the bonwa it's late. Actually, oh nonji tesca uh itchi
juny oh highest hill am I right kutsu wa? Uh so called this?
Oh hi hey, well like a kid's show. It's like a kid's It's
like a Japanese kid show. Very basic color or my shoe? How you
doing? I was mind very instantly went to try and ender I know,
I know, I can, I can hear the I know two colors,
and I was hoping they were either red or white. Welcome in. It
is eleven thirty PM and we are sat in the wolf Den podcast location.
Bro H. This podcast, like my own channel, never films in the
same place twice in a row. Very confusing for the video audience. The
audio listeners are having a blast. Yeah, we have a super fun episode
today. I'm actually looking forward to this one. Yeah, get your lists.
Yeah, what happens? Where about? We did a lot today.
Is it on your camera because you were using it as a different Okay,
you're gonna find it. I can hold the fort for a second. I'll
explain what's happening me. Uh So an idea. We actually have like a
list of video topic ideas for when we don't have something to talk about,
just like back up evergreen kind of ideas. And we were looking through that
list and we saw ports we would love to see come to the Switch.
It's a fun conversation, but we've never really had a good time to talk
about it. But we figured now, looking at that title and that conversational,
all right, we don't need that right now. That's what was on
That's what was on my phone when I opened it up. We would't even
explain what that is. We thought that would be a great time to do
that because we got all these rumors about switch to everyone's pretty much confirmed that
a new switch is coming next year. We're getting some last minute ports now
like red dead, redemption to one sorry coming to the switch, So emergency
situation, turn on the red light deaf Con five. We have very limited
time now to fill out the Switches library. The library is amazing, with
like fifteen thousand games and ports from everywhere you can imagine. So why not
just top it off with a couple of cherries before we go out in a
blaze of glory. When I said that the Switch had I think I said
sixteen thousand games. I think I posted in a TikTok somewhere a lot of
comments saying it doesn't have sixteen thousand games. It does, though it actually
does. You was saying, oh, it's a lot of DLC and stuff,
but okay, a lot of shovelweary what it is only fourteen thousand games,
it's not all dl six. No, it's probably there's five thousand games
and ten thousand of them are DLC. That it's insane. I would there's
a there's I would say thousands of playable games. Also you can sort by
DLC. I would say most of that fifteen thousand you wouldn't want to touch.
Oh yeah, but if you even got a track without boasting my own
toast too much, I've done thirty episodes now of my e Shop series with
ten games. That's three hundred games right there that I've deemed at some point
worth buying. And then you have any Shop series. Yeah, that's not
going that. It's an inside thing that's happening inside. Uh. Not only
that, I have like a bunch of other random videos, like reviewing games
at random physical games. Because my Shop series is just digital games. There's
got to be thousands of great games on the switch at this point, but
not enough, but not a lot more. Yeah, there's a lot.
Again, there's a lot of crap. I'll want some good stuff. There's
a lot of games I've been wishing would come and they just never did.
There's a lot of games I wished come and then they come. Always gonna
a joke about the word come, also like a good com joke. We
also tweeted on our Nintendo podcast Twitter. Sorry, let me say that whole
sentence again correctly. We also xed on our Nintendo podcast x page and we
got like two hundred replies of people telling us what games they would like ported.
I want to go through our lists first, though, so it doesn't
look like we're stealing from that because I don't know about you. But I
haven't even looked at it yet. I haven't looked at it either. The
Twitter. It has less on here than I thought I did. But I
listen, I got I got some bangers on here. I got a good
chunk. We also had a really fun day to day. I've been at
your house and we filmed. We refilmed two videos for each of our channels
that we already filmed about a month ago. And I think we talked about
how all the footage got deleted. Yep, we talked about it. We
talked about it multiple times. It's very it's very smart subject. Yeah,
we finally refilmed it all. It wasn't a lot more to felt about it.
So my video is you's going to be fine, and mine's not done.
I got a lot more I want to do, but you yours.
Your whole video was was banking on that reaction to the opening stuff. So
yours is a little I'm a very very reactionary channel. Yep, you're a
very technical putting in work channel. Yeah, I gotta do work for this.
When are we releasing these videos? Whenever you're done, because mine will
be edited in a day, probably I will pick a date. I don't
and I think it's obvious. I don't like the re record as much as
the original. Yeah, but I think what we did today was still pretty
funny. It do some more stuff then, No, it's fine. We
also got dinner and we got Bulba and I feel very full right now.
And we're going to Long Island Retro tomorrow. We are going to a convention
tomorrow. Also, if you haven't noticed, we're in the wolf Den studio.
You already said that, yes, and we don't have a crew,
which just us. Yeah, and I got you've got a thing set up
that's auto switching between us. Yes, why do we even have a crew?
I asked that all the time. This is You can see more of
this auto switching on the wolf Den podcast every Tuesday at eight pm on twitch
dot tv slash wolf Then, but you know why we have a crew because
you're a little out of focus, and we would have a guy who would
fix them next time it switches to you all fix more fun having a crew.
It's a lot more fun having people reacting stuff, and it's a lot
less stressful, and it's it's very nice to know that if something goes wrong,
someone else has to deal with it. Except last time something went wrong,
all the foods to buy someone a the crew. We also, we
could have times it out of your hands. We could have a small crew
in here right now. I mean, Hannah and Kim are under this roof.
However, they didn't seem to have any interest in listening to us talk
more today. I don't blame that. They just had to sit through us
filming that other stuff. Also, we were gallivanting around long island talking the
whole time. Anyway, why would they want any more to do with this?
It's just like people. What do people wait weeks to see me talk
and they're missing it for free? They don't want there's too much of a
good day kidding, I'm kidding, I'm kidding, all right. So I'm
very curious to see what games do you want to come to switch. I'm
also curious to see what overlap, if any, we have. We're definitely
gonna have overlap. I've pulled games from all over the place, but honestly,
I'm really kind of in like the last couple of generations, maybe going
back as far as GameCube. I don't know if you go any for the
back to Oh I do? Actually okay, yeah, I'm ill somewhere around
there. You want to stop or do you want here? I don't know
what the first one should be? The first one I have? You can
you don't have to go to the first Maybe I should do the first one.
I don't know if it's gonna be as exciting for the viewers at home
as it is for us though, narrocably, Oh my god, that's so
funny. Did you have you don't have that no, not even think about
that. So that is a game meaning actually, yeah, Weirdley, we
both really like that game. It's a free to play wifoo game that uh
yeah, uh. It's a fighting game, but it's a it's a battle
royale. It's a third person battle royale fighting game. That you said the
combat is kind of like Sekiro, and I think you're right. Yeah.
Every time we tell someone that we're playing that, or we tell twitch chat
that like, oh, that's like Fortnite with sam or Fortnite with Samurai's or
something, which I don't love that comparison because you kind of build an image
of Fortnite. It's really like Securo if it was a Battle Royale, yeah,
which you can also say Fortnite Battle Royale. But it also has like
it was more like the other way. It also has like contracts like you
would do and call of duty like our Zone. You pick up most there's
bounties what you can search for other players, and there's the thing where you
go and open a chat that's in a certain spot like lot out of it.
It's basically the same missions as you would do in war Zone. It's
super fun. You do pick a cute wifeo girl. But it has like
a League Legends Dot to Valoriant aspect of each have these abilities and then ultimate
abilities. I really like the fighting feelers, attack is, defenders, tanks.
Yeah, every character has a cool ability and the fighting game aspect is
really cool because it's like rock paper Sissy. It's like a fighting it would
because you have perry, you have a parry, you have the light attack,
and you have like a charged attack and depending on what you do with
the other person can counter it in a certain way. It makes pretty good
and you have a grapple hook like INSECU. Yeah, it's it's really cool,
but it's not. It's one of these weird games where like I love
it and we're playing it a lot and we're having fun. But anytime we
try I feel like anytime I try and explain it to someone or explain it
to twitch chat, they zone out instantly and they do not and then they
look at it and they're like, no, I don't know, man.
So something about actually playing it feels pretty good. Though it's free, it's
on everything, butt Switch, It's on Xbox PlayStation. It was in the
last PlayStation showcase, which is why I even it came into my brain at
all. I think it could come to switch, but it actually is pretty
pretty like visually, there's actually a lot of foliage and assets going on.
Might look a little some graphics you look a little. Last night, when
I was playing it, I looked up for the first time. I noticed
there's a massive, gigantic dragon. You've never seen that, No, I
always hear it, but I never looked up. It was like Schenern.
There's a freaking dragon staring down to your old time grants you a wish if
you find out the dragon ball if you rub his belly. So it's on
everything. We've been playing it on PC. You've got the Steam version.
I've played PC game Pass for some reason. I actually came here today surprising,
and I brought three things. My laptop to play Valeriant, my Switch
to play Smash, and my Steam deck to play in the Rocker if you
wanted to play. And it's almost midnight and we haven't done any of that
because we don't work. But I've been playing it on my PC, and
I started playing it on my Asus ally, so kind of like the Steam
deck. It ran really well on Steam Deck. Yeah, the reason I
played it on game Pass is because I wanted to stream it before I played
it, because I just wanted to play something quick. I didn't want to
have to download it, and then I liked it, so I downloaded it
and it runs good natively on the ally also, so I think it would
be fine on the Switch if if they just made a seven twenty again.
It's free, so like, why not? Probably I would love it to
come to Switch because every time I make a video on free games, it
bangs on, so I would just like it for selfish reasons. Yeah there's
no cross save though, Yeah, I'd probably just play it on Steam Deck.
Yeah. Yeah, they wouldn't need cross dave if they're going to put
it on Switch because I can't even play the Steam version. I can't play
it on steam Deck evenoayed cool they just did a crossover collab with Near or
if they brought it to Switch, they might be able to do a cross
over a colab or something like Zelda Ah. What's a Samurai Nintendo ip Samurai
nin could they do? Would Ninja Jaha would be too weird and wacky?
Do you need like humanoid characters? There's no Samurai nao, so not really
Mario gets a samurai outfit. I think you just you'd have to go Zelda
a yeah, all because you could do Gannadorf with a Samurai saw it that
he has. Now, this would never have sick no no no can I
maybe a hat, maybe like a Mario hat like they did with Rocket League.
Yeah yeah, or like elf is one of the wife fish probably already
has elf Is. Rocket League was like the first like free to play switch
Port, and they gave Matt they put Mario cars in it. I don't
think that's true, okay, because when Rocket League came to switch you had
to pay for it for like the first couple of years, then it went
free to play. That was definitely free to play games before that. It
might have been the first cross see and a cross play across play. It
was definitely the first game where you play soccer as toy cars. T Can
I do one? No get out? We made everyone sit through Naraka,
so I kind of want to throw away at handball at them like an easy
lay, like okay, like keep their interests. Yeah, I'm bring them
back around to our side before we go off on a tangent again. Zelda
win Wicker and Twilight Princess's Yeah, that's like an let's give them that one.
Though, I obviously really want this to happen because at this point,
someone pointed out to me the other day, we have essentially every mainline Zelda
title on the switch, including even like some wacky game Boy ones and most
of the Game Boy ones, even getting Oracle of Ages and Seasons pretty recently.
So it feels like just oh waste or a gap or just a letdown
to not have the whole library on the console, and even like going forward
and looking years back, knowing you can play every Zelda on the switch,
it's just a really cool thing to say and be able to do. So,
just for that reason alone, I'd love win Waker and Twilight Princess to
come to the switch, because at this point, if that wasn't my way
of thinking, I would say just hold out and do it on the switch
too, and make it like four K sixty or something insane. It feels
like there's got to be a reason why it's not on the switch, Like,
yeah, why wouldn't it be there? We got in so many we
U ports, Why is that one the holdout? It doesn't make any sense.
I'm wondering if it's just timing because because they don't, like they've never
released HD remakes of like the three D games too close to the new Zelda
coming out. It's usually a buffer. It's usually two or three years away
from or in between the next Zelda. And I think because they had Tis
a Kingdom in development for so long and pushing it back and pushing it back
and pushing it back, they never really knew what the buffer was going to
be. And I didn't think that they didn't want to drop it and then
reveal the new Zelda like six months later. Zelda had a lot of stuff
the past two years. Yeah, I just think it was a timing issue.
I don't think it just ever lined up to drop those games on the
system. Yeah, but we have a year and a half ish here to
get it near the tail end of the lifespan, just as like a little
cherry on top of me at this point, At this point, it's a
switch too thing. Yeah, But I mean I still like, well,
I'm still betting a lot that you'll be able to carry games over like shot
purchases. It wasn't stuff. He's a wacky Zelda obviously launched with the Switch
and helped project its sales, and it was a cross release schmishmashish smash.
We keep saying, or I keep having this theory that the new Switch will
launch with Mario this time shades of Mario sixty four. But also when looking
for a new Mario three D game, what if one of the other launch
titles with the Switch too, is Zelda win Waker and Twilight Princess doing a
smishmash between Switch and the new console just releases the same day and you can
just pick it up on the Switch to alongside O Mario. Oh and it
comes out for both. Yeah, maybe just want just an extra like because
people are buying the Switch, they need some filli games to add to the
library early on. Most people are saying that are speculating that the next Switch
will launch with a new Mario. Yeah, so you're saying, also,
yeah, so wind Waker. Yeah, I mean, because they're older,
they're not like, it's not gonna I don't think that's going to compete too
much with Mario. People are gonna buy Mario. Yeah, No, I
agree, that makes but having Mario and Zelda day one on Switch too,
that would help. I looked in my way, like a week if if
when the Switch came out there were seven games, and then a week later
there were a lot more games. They like kind of spaced out releases for
some reasons. They out it's steaven rolling pretty quickly. Yeah, I just
think it would be cool, you know, like the switch two versions that
have higher resolution and better upscaling, all of that, but then we still
get them on the Switch, so we can still say we have every Zelda
on the Switch. Yeah. Again, I think it's ridiculous that it's not
there. There's no reason for it not to be. It already ran on
the WIEU. What's the I think it's I think it's timing. I think
it is. Yeah. I think that their Nintendo is really good at holding
their old games and releasing them at a time where it's going to sell a
lot of money, holding their old games and then for a time taking them
away. You know, it's funny. When we were looking up for this
video, I was looking at some like online articles and threads of people asking
for ports because I wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything, and so
many people even from this year, well like I would really love to play
Sunshine on switch, and people were having to comment, it's on switch,
You've just you've got to find this, yeah, and they were like,
oh, I had no idea. I didn't even think about this. This
was just here from the Wolf and podcast. This is a super Mario three
D all Stars and drawn freaking you can't buy this game anymore, she looks.
You gotta get the physical now. They don't have it on on the
shop. Absolutely, lover, you can't play Mario sixty four. That's on
the switch. It's yes, it's a well no, actually that's actually I
think it's oh, well, okay, I know those two. It depends
on crappier. This is the newer version with updated hate I hate HUDs and
better frame rate. Yeah, this, I think you. This is the
one that's harder to speed run because you can't backwards long jump. I believe
the bass Show version. I think I like the one on the Nintenna Switch
online better because of the speed running aspect, but this has a better hud
and stuff, So this is like a little better. But other than that,
you cannot play Sunshine right now, and you cannot play Galaxy, and
there is no Galaxy too unless you buy this on Amazon and I think it's
expensive. Now. I don't even have Galaxy two in my list. I
don't either. I completely forgot Galaxy two and one because I came fucking play
it. No, that's we have that. You can find this you can
still find Let me look it up on Amazon, because last time I checked
it was like eighty bucks. Really, yeah, I see it in like
game stop in stores all the time. I don't think, I don't.
I think that was like over a year ago, when when that was one
hundred and thirty five dollars. Dude, was the European version one hundred thirty
five dollars for the You version? I bought two of these because I thought
maybe they would go up. And why are there so many listings? Australian
version hundred and twenty, German versione hundred thirty, don't even have that American
version. My head looks horrible today. Sorry, if I keep playing with
it, stop playing. I was doing my head in It looks good there,
and then I'll look back and it looks horrible. The WE version,
remember the WE version of Mario All Stars. I feel so bloated that we
ate a lot today and a lot of so much and the bulba was so
milky. And then I had coffee, and then we had snacks. Baby,
it's a good day. I got a little bit of terramasula. You
did, yeah, yeah, the whole You had a whole term cake.
I had a whole cake. We want to go Bulber and this guy goes,
I don't like Bulbo. I'm like, I never said I don't like
Bobo. I just didn't want it. And I said, you don't like
Bobo, And I'm like, all this guy, he's not a sweet sky
and then he goes and buys like three doughnuts. I like different. I
like my sugar intake to be different. I get what you're saying. Actually,
I don't like a big sugary drink. I'd rather use that for a
pastry. I one thousand percent agree with you. I don't drink sugar ever.
Bulba is my one exception, and I always get no sugar. The
only sugar is the bowl. The bulls have sugar. That's so much.
There's still so much, I know, but the bulls are so good.
I mean, there's a lot of sugar in a doughnut, but I'd rather
have the donut. It's my thing. I agree. But that's the thing.
The bulls. It's kind of like food, like I'm chewing on them,
so it is like candy, you know what I mean? All right,
do you want to do one? Yeah? Super Mario Galaxy too.
Oh you don't do another one? Or do you want me to go?
My list is bigger, so I could go next if you want it.
I have kind of a bunch of old stuff. Okay, let's do this
one right out of the gate, because I guess it's relevant to some recent
news. Pokemon games, Man, Pokemon game, Pokemon games. Where are
the original Pokemon games? I don't know if you're getting those at this point.
I don't think they gotta come at some in some way. I think
the Pokemon company wants to release their own collection, but they gotta have some
sort of bing bang boom with uh stadium that would be very very cool.
I just think they've clearly expressed they would read rather remake things, even if
it's a shoddy mobile game developer remake, than just rerelease something for ten bucks.
I think they know they can make way more. They can make like
sixty bucks on Diamond Pope, crappy Diamond Shining if they just casually remake it.
They could make that money on both of them. They could. Yeah,
they had the original Pokemon games for sale on the three DS up until
three months ago. I don't disagree. So there's really absolutely no reason for
them not to have those games available in any capacity on any platform. Pokemon
Company and Nintendo must have this theory, and I'm sure a Pokemon Company go
by a lot of what Nintendo says or what their theories are. That rereleasing
old stuff isn't always a good idea. There must be something they time it
right. I don't think the Pokemon Company has any inkling of an idea.
I think that they have a stance on releasing old stuff and it's antiquated and
wrong. I think Nintendo has a stance that can be wrong sometimes, like
with Earthbound and in the Mother series. But I think that Nintendo ultimately thinks
if they hold things for long enough, they can make a lot of money
if they release it at the perfect time. The Pokemon Company doesn't have the
timing figured out. I agree with that. I think we would have had
it already because I just think that collaboration with Stadium would have been sick.
Yeah, but now it's like, well, the stadium thing is to make
the Nintendo sixty four online games seem like a big deal. Pokemon would have
made the Game Boy Online be a huge deal. But I don't know.
I don't know why they decided like no, we rather, I mean,
they know they can make a lot more money than they can if it's on
Nintendos. Would if it was on Nintendos, which online, they would make
less money. They can release those games individually for a lot more money.
It would be really cool, really cool. So you got a collection of
Pokemon games on a physical cartridge sixty bucks. It'd be really cool if they
made every a little tiny console that's less powerful than a Nintenno switch, that's
a lot cheaper, maybe like a hundred bucks, and then that has a
low powered games like Pokemon. Yeah, stop with that, you really?
Okay? My turn, My turn, my turn? Uh Oh what should
I pick? I'm gonna I'm gonna do two because I'm gonna breeze past one
real quick. I want and then it's happening. But I want Metroid two
and Metroid three, the Primes. Oh I want that's obviously happening. I
would have also have said Red Dead. If we had made this video two
weeks earlier, I would have been, oh yeah, I would have been
pushing for Red Dead. That would have been a big one for me.
So I mean, so don't even worry about those. Here's a wacky I
would like one of the very few we U games we don't have a port
of Star Fox zero to be ported to the which I hated that game.
Okay, who likes Jackson, But I want all of the wacky controls stripped
out, all of the silly gimmicks from the WI you, and I want
to be able to actually experience that game because I remember that game. I
remember playing it when it came out, really liking the concept and enjoying the
game, even as someone who didn't like previous staff Bocks games. There was
one that I liked, and we'll get to that because it's on my list.
But I just was fighting the controls the whole time. I was trying
to do dog fights, and I was just like spinning around in circles and
trying to get like re gain where I am, and it gets so mad
that I gave up. And everyone at the time that actually liked the game
was like, you've just got to get good at the controls. It's not
that hard. Suck it, it's bad control. They were really trying to
ride the Wii You game. Yes, and I think that game deserves a
second shot, a second chance, and they could re release it as a
deluxe version and like add like maybe a couple of characters into it with streamline
controls like they do for the Pickman. I think it'd be interesting to try
it out in an emulator and mess with the controls to make it feel better.
I feel like this probably they do that pretty good. I don't really
remember how the two how it worked. It was two so you had the
screen on that your TV was normal star fucks, and then the game pad
was the cockpit view yeah, and you moved it around to shoot and you
had to look at both. It was horrid what I played it at E
three before the game came out, and I was waiting online to play,
and then I played it, and when I was like, I was like
looking down and looking up, and you know, I'm at a kiosk,
so it's not like I'm my home with my with my TV a standing at
a kiosk looking down, looking up. And then I died and I like
put it down. And then the lady you know who's like like a like
like a union words were like hired for the week to work for nintender.
She goes, what do you think we're taking feedback? And I was like
that was that was pretty bad. She's like, what's wrong? What was
wrong with it? And I was like I kept looking down and looking up?
It was hard to like balance that. I think it should just be
regular. Star Fox was fine. It was fine the way the game was
before. That's pretty much the issue that everyone had with the WIIU. For
any game that made you look down and up and down and up all the
time, it was just annoying. You shoehorned in the game pad aspect.
It was stupid. The thing that's annoying to me is it does, actually,
on paper, sound cool that on the screen you have the third person
view of the ship and then you look down. Now you're in the cockpit.
So maybe you can like aim better. But if you try to have
to look at the game pad to aim, I know it should just be
like that's what I want. It's a cool idea, but in practicality it's
kind of annoying. And it gets old really quickly. There were some games
that used it pretty well, people still hated it. I remember my roommate
and I were both playing Zombie You at the same time. He's him on
his in nine of Mind. He hated ever having to look down at the
pad. Ever, he's just taking his eyes off the screen, ruin the
emersion for him. For me and Zombie You, they used it really well,
like when You the best. I liked it whenever you took off your
backpack. And this is why it was so cool. When you took it
to backpack and you looked into it to try and make things, crack,
things, pull something out, it brought up on the screen, look at
your pad and you couldn't see the screen anymore, and you had to look
at your pad and you you had your whole inventory and your backpack in your
hands like you are looking into the pad. That might sound annoying, but
why it was cool it is because if you don't make sure you're safe,
all you hear is zombies and you can't see them because all you can see
is your backpack. But that's like real life almost. It's immersion of like
in a real life situation, while the whole world is going You can't just
like in a zombie apocalypse, tell the zombies to take a second again while
you craft, and it added that emersion. He hated it. I loved
it, but Star Folks was constantly like bang bang bang bang bang bang,
and it gives you whiplash. It's like in Doom three or one of the
biggest criticisms was you had to have the gun or the flashlight. But it's
like that was part of the game, was like you're vulnerable when you have
the flashlight up. You can put a flashlight on a gun. Yeah,
but that was part of it. And then when they had the DLC,
they duct taped the flashlight to the gun. It's like, all right,
well then you're not sticking to your guns here. Well they are literally still
literally sticking. Yeah. Anyway, stuff Fox zero would be cool. Star
Foks zero would be cool. Thank you. It's coffee time. We got

coffee roasters, this one got shipped fresh to my door from New York City.
Did not have to travel baby about an hour and a half to get
to my house. Can we talk about this in the last one, I
think we did no, okay, and I might might have been Joe's coffee.
But this one is fig. We've definitely gotten Joe's coffee. Oh.
I get Joe's coffee a lot, because I have told trade that I like
it Fig dark chocolate and orange. Is this one? So it should have
notes of Terry's chocolate orange. I don't know if I can say that chocolate.
I have some chocolate oranges in the fridge so that I can put one
in the coffee when I pull the spresso shots. So I have a little
orange chocolate. You should put that in this and make double chocolate orange.

that. I don't know where that came from. I don't like it.
I don't get it. It's a twitch me, it's a twitch mean.
But I also emerged it with a meme from our own podcast. It was
wow, those times are over now. Oh yeah, it's Miamoto. All
right, thanks, thank you, thanks? Who did the last game?
Was it? You? You have less than me? I think we should
two for one, Okay, do whatever. Hey man, you got a
game on deck, you put it out there in the world. The way
I said that made it sound like I really wanted to do the next one,
and in my head, I was trying to tell you you need to
No. I in my head, I wanted you to go next. But
I realized the words I said sounded like I was just going next. I'm
gonna fire two out at once. Okay, this is kind this is kind
of a lot of games at once. You're not gonna be interested at all
Sonic Advanced Trilogy because you can't buy one of them anywhere. You can't buy
any of the Sonic Advance anywhere right now. Yea, and they're some of
the best Sonic games that not a lot of people got to experience. When
you're done blabbing about these, I have one that pays with this, Okay.
Is it a Gameboy Advanced game? No? Okay, never mind,
there's not a lot of I mean, there are now Gameboy Advanced games on
the Switch. You got the Nintenno Switch Online stuff. You got companies like
Konami put Castlevania, those Gameboy Advanced games on the Switch, and that's a
great collection. I agree, capcom as the MegaMan Zero, which are also
some of the best game Way Advanced games, and the MegaMan Battlenetwork collection,
which you love. No, okay, So I don't know why Sega hasn't
done anything with the Sonic Advance games. Maybe there's like a licensing issue,
but you currently cannot purchase them anywhere. You would think that has to be
a licensing issue, Yeah, because it doesn't make any sense. They've been
really good at putting out their older games. They have like a million different
ways you can play Sonic one, so many that will made it a trivia
question on one of these podcast episodes. Sonic is pretty egregious about using fun
music from all over the place, right, do the advanced series really no?
Sonic. The big issue is that Sonic three has some of the best
music in video games because Michael Jackson had a hand in some of the songs
that now there's a licensing issue. Is that uncredited? It's uncredited? Yeah,
well then why would that be a lisson sing issue? I don't know.
Is that might be why it's an issue? Maybe? Is it all?
Is it all original music in all three games? There's no like wackys
or like pulled from other places, because every Sonic I've played has had like
some weird rap hip hop tracks. Those are those are written for Sonic Yeah,
but they're weird, they're weird. How long do they license the ones
that get written for them for though? I don't know. I don't know.
I'd imagine they purchased them, like the Crush forty songs arts are Segas
and well they might. I don't really know how that works, but you
can you can pay a band or someone to write a song for your game,
but you might only be paying for the licensing. In that regard,
you might not own their song forever. I don't know how that works.
There's two different ways to do it, and I'd imagine that they did it
in the way where they own the song. What if one way is cheaper
the only Yeah, you're right. The only issue so far that I know
that Sonic has is with Sonic three, and it's because of the Michael Jackson
thing. It is because they didn't want to be associated with Michael Jackson.
Right before the release of the game, all the controversy about Michael Jackson came
out and they decided, we don't want any part of that, so they
didn't credit him, and then they put the songs in. Anyway, Michael
Jackson is dead now, but he would have claimed what he would have claimed
that he didn't like the sound chip on the the Sega. But he would
have claimed yeah, I think his like guy, his like producer guy said
that Michael didn't like the way the audio sounded. Well, no, probably,
no, he's very particular. It's awesome though, I bet, but
he was very much an audiophile and a and a very stickler about I can
imagine there's a video somewhere where he's singing with I think it's Huey Lewis.
Oh my god, I want I say they did, like I think I'm
getting that right, whether in a sound booth together and they're doing a song
together, and every time HUEI tries to like, I think it was Hughie,
but every time the other guy tries to hit the notes. You see
Michael in the background going every time, and he's trying to like it's more
it's more like A and then like Hughie's like oh, like ah, I
was like, no, no, no, I can't imagine. That's one
of the greatest singers of all time. Imagine having to Yeah, he was
singing with him. He was one of the greatest, and he knew it.
Yeah, that's the problem. It sucks that there is around him because
man, whenever one of his songs come on, I mean, I love
his bangers. Can I do one off the back of that or you double
banging? H oh? The other one is Sonic Rush. Oh, I
can bang off that too, Sonic Rush one and two. I've never played
the second one, it's like more of like an adventure. I don't even
have an image of what those games are. Sonic Rush and two Rush two
it's called something else. Those both are DS games, and there's some of
the best DS games, and there's some of the best Sonic games. And
the music for Sonic Rush was written by the guy who did Michael jacks not
that jet Set Radio. Oh the music slaps I love. I love jet
Set Radio music. I put one of those songs in my Zelda review.
Cool U. Yeah, those are other games that you currently cannot purchase,
so it'd be nice to have those port again. Sega has been pretty good
at port and they're old stuff. The Sonic Origins collection was bad, but
they fixed it and now it's good. So except for the Michael Jackson songs
that I'm missing, but otherwise they've been pretty good at post up re uploading
their old stuff making them available. For some reason, those two collections of
games they haven't really cared much about. Let me hit you with an actual
good Sonic game, Okay that I want to come to switch. Okay,
Sonic Adventure one and two one is not on the switch. No, I
don't think so. Google it for me. Two. I feel like I
would know which one has the chow Garden one two too, that's the one
I really want, to be honest this, Yeah, that's not so.
In my notes, I wrote Sonic Adventure, whichever one has the chow Garden,
because that's the one I had when I was younger, and I mostly
only want it for the chow Garden. I really have no interest in playing
the actual game there. It is not on the switch. Yeah, I
didn't think so. Yeah, that's ridiculous. It's on a lot of other
costs. I know it's on Xbox. Actually have it on Xbox Live Arcade.
Yeah, and it walked on three sixty. It got upresed and like
runs better on Series X and stuff the first one. I play the second
one more than I play the first one, but I think both of them.
And I have it on Steam and it's on PlayStation. I think it's
on PlayStation. It's on a lot of stuff, and it's not on the
switch. For some reason, people love the Chow God and I don't know
why it died in Sonic Adventure too. I don't know why they hit such
a gold mine. Yeah, they saw freaking all the success of Pokemon and
they were like at Digimon and they were like, let's just have it here
and then never talk about it was so cool. It was unique enough and
different enough to be captivating. A lot of people only played the chowd God
and even back in the day, that could have spun off into it.
It could have sun. They could have used that in more. They could
have made Little Time Agotchi things. But also Sonic Adventure, that series was
so good and so I those were actually pretty good. Yeah, and they
never made anymore those. No, they took ideas from it, but made
shitt of your games and from what I kind of. I'm not a big
Sonic guy, but whenever I think of Sonic, I always think the last
time I actually liked and enjoyed Sonic was Sonic Adventure two. Like since then,
it's been pretty downhill for me. Frontiers was actually relatively fun, but
still not. Sonic has struggled in three D, and Sonic Adventure two is
what I think they had something going there. Sonic Adventure two is I think
the best they got in three D, and they just gave up on it.
They gave them and they just went to a whole other weird things.
I still love Sonic Adventure two. Yeah. I like the way Sonic controls
in that, and I think the levels are very good. The chow Garden
is also just a massive bonus. Yeah, the chowd guns really fun so
without I mean, I always assume people who know what certain things are.
But the chow Garden was like this little garden where you collected chows and they
like come in eggs, right, and you hatch them and then depending on
how you treat them and raise them, they grow differently. They get different
personalities different so people would take the eggs and they would throw them around really
badly. They become like like really cool like evil chows. Yeah, and
they have like dragon wings and stuff and they're all black. They so to
collect them all you literally, if you want the evil one, you have
the best one. SHA need to be kind of abused a little bit.
That's such a cool premise and idea and hasn't been done and it's not coming
to the switch that there's actually a kickstarter that's finished now that I support it
because I want this so bad called Pugglings. It's actually backed by Chad Tronic.
I believe was he kind of like helping produce it or publish it.
And the whole idea is it's a it's a more fleshed out chow garden with
these little pugglings, And it's the same idea. Depending how you raise them,
you get different colors. See, like, I appreciate that, and
I like that people actually looks good though Okay, like I don't because we
see that a lot with Pokemon. People are like, Pokemon's popular and everybody
likes Pokemon, but everybody wishes Pokemon was more like this, so they try
to make that game and it just nevers. I think why this is actually
and the reason why I'm excited for it is because we've only ever had one
chow Garden. Yeah, so it's not like an oversaturated Pokemon series when someone's
trying to do their own take the chowd Gardens still left a lot to be
desired, and this is like a spiritual successor in a way where it's like,
Okay, we're gonna redo chowd Garden, but what else can we do
to improve it and add exploration and other fun things to it? So it's
it's and there's nothing else. It hasn't been done like I haven't seen anyone
else try and do chow garden, So it's not like we have a ton
of these fake chowd gardens and it's like, oh, well, maybe this
one will be good. So I'm hopeful that this will actually be good.
Another part of what made the Chowd gard so good was the VMU on the
game on the Dreamcast. Hannah, we don't even know what that did.
So we saw a VMU at too many games and Hannah was like, Hannah
was like, look, tomagotchis on GameCube, right, So, yeah,
so they didn't have it. Yeah, thank you. That's why I don't
know about that. Yeah, somagotchis so. And I was like, oh,
look tomagotchis. Or I think somebody had a backpack of a VMU and
I was like oh, or like oh look that control has a screen in
it. And I was like, all right, look let me tell you.
Let me tell you messed up. Yeah, She's like a So the
Dreamcast had a memory card that goes into the controller, kind of like the
N sixty fourth did, but the controller of the Dreamcast had a hole in
it and you could the memory card had a screen on it was really before
it's time. Yeah, so's there was a whole like bicolor LCD screen in
the controller, and a lot of games will show a graphic when you're doing
certain things, like I think in Dino Crisis at a life bar, there's
one where it shows you a AMO account on the controller. Uh probably a
bang Bang SHOOTI House of the Dead. Yeah. So in in Sonic,
uh, you could unplug the VMU, the whole memory unit and use it
like a tamagotchi. You could raise the chowl like a tamagotchis so cool.
Yeah, that is insane. Yeah so people. So again, it was
around the time when Tom the Tomagotchi and Digimon crazy. That's literally merging two
really cool things. Yeah, and that has never been replicated because we don't
have screens in our cards. I don't know, I can can. The
only way to do that now is to have it port. I'm trying to
think, yeah, yeah, just play the Sonic game and then have a
challenge. That's the way that the party developers can like kind of hack into
those Pokemon Go plus bowls or anything, right and like kind of do it
that way. I mean, a developer can sell a peripheral for sure.
Yeah, I'd be interested in. I think the best way to do it
is to just have functionality with an app on your phone. The switch is
already portable though, so you're kind of just like adding a step to have
a cool thing. You can just take your switch. I don't think that's
an important if they're going to port Sonic Adventure, it's not an important function
to have. But Sego really fucked up by not having more chow garden stuff
and by not capitalizing on the fact that you can raise the chow outside of
the game. I know that's so cool. Yeah, and I think about
it. It is not necessary because that's literally how I played it on GameCube.
I kind of want a time. You're making me want to try it.
You're making me want to play the Dreamcast version of the game with the
VMU and raise the child. Now I don't have a Dreamcast, but tomorrow
when we go to this game convention, maybe we'll try to find some people.
I got to make sure I have a VMU. I for the longest
time had one in my collection. I don't think I think I still have
a VMU. I think it's in my boxes in the what's your next game?
Because while you talk about it, I'm gonna go right over there and
look in a cabinet that I think it's in and pull it out. Okay,
go get it. I want to hear the game first. Okay,
well I gotta pick one. Let me try and pick one that's really going
to hit home for these people. Well, I've got some good ones on
here. We also have a lot on the list, and where talks from
more than I thought we would. All Right, I'm gonna I'm gonna give
there's so many I want to hear it. All right, I'm gonna throw
I'm gonna throw them a bone. Okay, this isn't my most requested one,
but I would like this paper Mario in the thousand Year Door, so
I agree. I saw this on Reddit. I think, yeah, I'll
hit you with one. I saw this and decided I wanted super paper Mario.
I almost put that on this list. But if I was to pick
one, thousand Year Door is the one I love the most. Which one
is that GameCube? Yeah? Okay, yeah, the GameCube one. I
honestly, I haven't played it since GameCube, so it's all nostalgia. I
never replayed it, but it was the story, the battling, that everything
about it. It was one of my favorite games I had played up until
that point. And you gotta remember I wasn't much of a Mario guy.
I liked the original Marios in NS, but after that I kind of fell
off plus Ratio on Mario, I became a Zelda guy. So this was
like, now I was on GameCube. It was five ten years since I
played a Mario game I actually liked, and this one was like awesome,
Like it brought back to know how much of that game I played, or
if any at all. I think I played the N sixty four one.
I was like, this isn't what I thought Marrio. Because I was nine,
I wasn't like. I was like, this wasn't I think Mario was.
And then I didn't. I don't think I played any Paper Mario until
Super Paper Mario and I got it, and I played it with very low
expectations because I was like, this is Mario, but not it's different.
And then I played it and I was like, this is really good and
I liked it a lot. So I think I skipped thousand year Door,
so I would like to play it on this one. I am a little
surprised they haven't put Super Paper Mario on the N sixty four library yet.
On switch that seems like a showing no super Paper Mario is the wei version
Super Piper Mario. Oh yeah, paper Mario's paper. What's the sixty full
mark? I think that's just paper Mario. Oh and that would be Is
that not already on it is? Yeah? Yeah, okay, I was
gonna say, I'm pretty sure that's already on there. Let me just put
my paper Mario. Yeah, this is super paper. Oh I'm so dumb.
This is like it switches between two D and three D. I forgot
that one existed. People don't like that one, and I really I don't.
I have not played it. I actually, legitimately, if you had
given me a thousand dollars right now to name every paper Mario, I would
not have I would know. I would have forgotten about that one completely and
totally. Yeah, the first one is just called paper Mario. Damn.
Yeah, Super Paper Mario is really good. I know it's not people's favorites,
but I liked it a lot. I played it off. When did
it fall off for people? Was it after a thousand year door. Everyone's
just wanted it to go back to a thousand year door. Ever since thousand
year Door, I would like to play that, So I would like that
ported because I want to super Mario. It was after a thousand year Door,
and I don't. I haven't played it, so maybe it's got some
merit to it. All I know is I've played Oregonmy King and colors Splash,
and no, Oregonmy King was bad. I didn't like it. It's
got fun characters and stuff, but it was no. I agree it's bad.
I was gonna say Color Splash is worse, but I actually disagree with
myself there, and I think I'm going against most of popular opinion on that
one. But I really really despised the turning in Oregonmy King. That all
turning mechanic. Some people did kind of like it, and I agree.
It's more strategic and technical and more of a battle mechanic than whatever the hell
was happening in color Splash. It was very easy, but at least Color
Splash I didn't have to think about anything that will just it was so boring
and did my head in. I don't think it was. I mean,
I didn't get that far into the game, maybe it gets a lot more
complex, but like it didn't absolutely nothing for me. I was like,
I was like, it's obviously this goes here and then we're done. It
does get a little bit more complex and boss battles and they find more ways
to kind of like twist the ideas, so you do it untraditionally than what
you have been doing. But it was always just a hindrance more than anything.
It's like, I can do this, it's not that hard, but
it's gonna take some time. Yeah, and I hated that I have right
here my Dreamcast controller. I have not taken this VMU out in like fifteen
twenty. I can see the dust around like this, like it's like some
get it. I'm like a little afraid. Mine's blue, my VMA mine's
green. So it has button It literally looks like a little it has little
buttons on it, and oh god, it's really everybody. I remember,
I definitely need to put a battery in here. I remember even at the
time when that console was out, people were saying it's ahead of its time,
and nobody has ever since not said that console was ahead of its time.
It really really was, and it's such a shame that it failed.
It's not going to focus on Oh, it's not focusing. It's such a
shame that it It was such a miserable fail. Yeah, it failed really
hard for having such great games and having just a cool control. How did
this not do well in the nineties, given ninety nine, this is such
an early truth. I don't even understand how it failed. It was so
cool. Oh look at this. It has two carton to put yeah,
which arguably might not have been a great idea because it made the control a
very big it did, yeah, pretty thick. Also, the button layout
is like very modern, yeah, I know. And it had a pretty
nice stick and it has an aged no no, no, that my man
is a whole sensing thumbstick. Now everybody's copying that. So that means that
that thumbs uses magnets, it doesn't rub, so that stick will not drift.
I was about to say, unlike a sixty four controller, it is
still tight. Yeah, I just don't like how like it feels. Yeah,
I mean I feel but everybody's copying that. Now. Everybody everybody's all
about all my controller needs to have a whole sensing stick because I don't want
it to drip. This honestly almost feels like if it had shoulder buttons.
I could use this in a game today. Yeah, and I would be
fine. Yeah. You know that company Retro Fighters that remakes UH and sixty
four controllers, They remade a Dreamcast controller. I was like, why it's
perfect? I kind of I kind of like where the triggers are like a
little down lower. Yeah, it just needs two more at the shoulder boat
Simpson's Hit and Run, Okay, I kind of want that to come to
sweat. I know that's a weird and whacking. There might be licensing.
You should have a fan made remake that guy immediately. Yeah, m that
game is such a hit. Not really even a hidden I don't think he
can't even call it a hidden gem. It's better than what people even remember,
and funny enough, I noticed recently that the price on the game,
like the physical from GameCube PlayStation two, has skyrocketed over the last few years.
It's over one hundred dollars now. It was pretty cheap for a long
time, but it's it's uh the Simpsons answer to GTA, Yeah, which
is insane. Yeah, it's such a bizarre thing, but it's actually fun.
And it feels like you're exploring the world of the Simpsons. That's a
great game and it would be a nice little rump down memory lane. So
I threw it on my list. We gotta start plowing through some of these.
Uh, my next one is, let's do this one. I saw
this on the reddit thread. I think I saw Half Life. Yeah,
so I was like, how about just the Orange Box with Gary's Mud.
Yeah, so we we have Portal and Portal too, which is awesome that
that came because those are some of the best games of all time. Why
not the whole Orange Box though, because that's how it came out on Xbox
I to this day, and you also get Counterstrike and all that not played
through Half Life two an entirety. I played the first half hour a couple
of times. Why haven't you finished it? Were you late? Were you
too late? Way too late? The first time I played it might have
been like six seven years ago at this point, and I kind of I
kind of had the bad mentality of like, this is what everyone's been talking
about this. The thing with Half Life is that it was so far ahead
of its time. Yes, it took so long for every other company in
the industry to come out with similar games that they have aged so well.
Yeah, but I mean it has been a long time. At this point,
it's like going back in time and playing something that has been refined and
done so much better by now. But I need to go back in You
have to understand that Half Life one is the first game, the very first
game to have wa as D by default as your movement on a PC game.
Now what I would say to you if you weren't going to already throw
back at me? But I played it in its time. This is the
same argument I try and give people when they play a Karina for the first
time now and they're like, I don't get it. This game sucks.
Yeah, but if you played it in its time, I did. I
know I did play it. I know you don't count because you're wrong.
I say about Golden Eye. Golden Eye in its time was awesome, but
now people know how the first person shooter should feel. I agree with that,
But it was awesome. So Half Life was in that same time but
controlled like a modern game. Yeah, So that's how much better the Half
Life games? Also, one was on sixty four one was on PC.
I give it, not even PC games controlled like modern PC game for sure,
only half Life at that time, But what were you gonna do on
sixty four? Yeah? Uh, I started TikTok the other day of I
guess like a newer audience discovering the double O seven pause menu music for the
first time I've seen that. Yeah, for music slaps, so it does
slap. Really the elevator music, I'm sure it's been done already, but
it needs to be done in actually know a rat beat or something. Yeah,
the pause music. There's the pause music, and then there's also a
James Bond elevator. Like every time that pause music hits, it's like it
gets my face or like scrunched uff like that it hits. Also had an
amazing soundtrack that game for being a licensed movie game, it had so much
great stuff going on with no pause music. Should ever be that good.
There's a spider right there or something. It's Oh he's jumping. Oh my
god, I'm I'm witnessing this. It's happening. He's getting ready, he
smacked it, he got it. Yo, it's dead. He's gonna go
wash his hand. Let me blast through a couple here because I don't know
where much time much time. What are we doing over here? We're done
with? God? I got so many more. Yeah, all right,
let me hit you. Let me hit you with Let me hit you with
a couple of fun ones. Maybe maybe fun for me. Mass Effect Trilogy.
Bobby, he's washing his hands. He probably can't hear me. Yeah,
that's what I told him. I told him you were washing Mass Effect
trilogy. That would be cool, It would be really cool. The third
Mass Effect was on Sweet Wi You randomly on its own, which is very
annoying because if you played the games, you know it's one of those series
that your safe file carries over, and to this day, I think it's
the greatest example of a safe file carrying over. I don't think any game
series has ever done it better. And to just stop on three on the
WIU and not be able to do that, you're missing the whole experience I
feel. I mean, three is still a great game, but I really
wanted to get into it because of that, because I wanted I loved the
idea of having the safe file playing all the decisions. I played a decent
amount of the first game, but way after it came out, okay,
because I wanted that safe file transfer and the first game is not great.
Now, so here's the thing. Let me tell you, I should have
just started straight from the second game. Yes, so the first game I
was playing games, I was avid game, and when it came out it
always looked tits boring to me. My friends loved it, though. It
was like the second time I had to drive the car around, I gave
up. It's not good. The second one came out and they were all
picking it up, and I had massive farmo. So even though they were
carrying their safe files over, I was like, screw you, guys,
I'm gonna pick up and play it anyway. I didn't even understand what I
was missing. I didn't care, it didn't matter. I didn't feel like
I was missing something. The second game, to this day is one of
my favorite games of all time. I have never played a game like that.
The world they built, the decision making actually mattering, and the gameplay
being fire. I played that game so much I made sure to get the
best ending. And then when you start the third game, which isn't as
good as the second one but very close, and all of your decisions and
all of your characters and all of the story you've been building up for a
hundred hours. Being immediately carried over was revolutionary for me. And then that
game was sick. But I finished it on the week it came out,
and the ending was so bad. Patched it and they did a new ending,
and they fixed it and updated it is the new ending better. It's
better. It's better, but it's still not. People still put one too
happy with it. So I didn't play any mass Effect outside of a little
bit of the first one. Somehow, through some weird reason, I got
to play Andromeda before it came out. I know you said you liked it.
I liked it. I hate you the reason the reason I liked it
was because I barely played its effect. It isn't really good. Well,
imagine how good two and three is then, because those are better than that.
Yeah, Andromeda. I tried playing that. I got a little bored
and fell off, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
While I was playing it, I went back to try and play the
first one after I finished the third one, because I was like, I
love this so much now I'm going to do a whole play through. Every
time I've ever tried to play the first one, I've got like through the
tutorial and the first mission and I just get so bored they should remake it.
Doesn't hit that they should remake it because it was actually a different kind
of game. The second and third one were like action adventure story driven games.
The first one was more I forget what they call it, but it
was like way more story driven and choice driven, and the combat was a
lot more stiff and not really the focus. But anyway, I got another
Space one Destiny too. We can just breeze away through that that what like
cloud streaming, just put the whole thing on there. It's very optimized on
handhelds on Windows handhelds and pretty linear. It might yeah if like Panic Button
did it and like Doom actually was. Yeah. I mean it's not a
particle effects and stuff, butch is nerve the particle effects have it run like
a really low end PC, and I think that they could do it.
I think you could get that game on Switch, but it would take a
good team like Panic Button to do it. That would be a switch to
situation waited it out and have Destiny three run on all platforms. The Switch
doesn't really need anything because it's doing fine. On its own, but it
does need more MMO online multiplayer experiences because there really isn't any. It's just
not the kind of place people go for those kind of games, I think.
But there's a big lack in that month it has. It's it feels
so good to have a game that is online where your account transfers between devices,
like taking a game between your PC, your Steam down RG ally your
other PC. It's so it feels awesome to have a seamless experience on my
list. But there's no reason to not have games like fat A, Fantasy
fourteen and other MMO games on the switch. In fact, the only MMO
I can think of right now. That's probably actually good because I'm sure someone
will tell me there's some crappy free to play AMMO that no one cares about.
But what's I always go to, say, Star Ocean. I did
this in our episode with Will Fantasy Star that is on the MMOs on switch,
but only in Japan, which is so annoying. I think the Switch
needs more, and I think Destiny too, he's more always online games,
I agree. I think people just think it's portable. They're not gonna have
Wi Fi all the time. That is the reason. Yeah, that's the
reason. And there's a doc there's no reason Final Fantasy fourteen. And now
you've got companies like PlayStation releasing streaming only handhelds, so like they know,
people know, people are smart enough to know I need to be tethered to
the Internet in order to play this game. That's the reason Nintendo gives for
not having chat because it's guys, it's always on. You need to always
be online. Yeah, that's not the reason. That's the reason, they
say, Yeah, because that's why you have whatever. I still have done.
Can I have two Metal Gears on here? I had? Then my
next one is Snakes. That's our first crossover. I think, let's go.
Yeah, I want that because you keep telling me, and everyone keeps
telling me that's a great place to stop playing. We are getting Metal Gear
games, which is sick. But twin Snakes is I think the best way
to experience the first game, and a lot of people would disagree with me,
but I don't care. For some reason, I already thought that with
no preconceived notions, and I just want to play that one. Yeah,
and I can't. You should, that's an emulation. That's a problem.
Emulation will solve for you? Was the other one? Can I guess?
Yeah? This weed? This might be four? No? Wow, can
I guess again? Yeah? The Game Boy one. No. Oh that
I'm done. Metal Gifts of I get the fun. No, not really?
Okay, metal Gear Rising, Okay, Yeah, I like that game,
but I never want to play it again. I've never played it.
That's such a weird game because it's the story of metal Gear is so important,
and this is the farthest in the future you get in the timeline and
it's its own thing, and it's Yeah, I love hacking slashes and the
story is really really wacky. It's the wackiest metal Gear it gets. Everyone
has told me based on what I like in games, I would love that
game, like I love Devil Maker. I liked it. It's very good.
Yeah, yeah, but it's not metal Gear. It's it's metal Gear
only that there's a character I know from it, and I want to play
it, and I have no reason to not play it anywhere else. But
if it came to switch, I would feel obligated to finally play it.
Uh, this is just a selfish one. I would like Lost Kingdoms one
and two to get remasters, even if it's just a HD slap it on
the switch Master. They are my favorite GameCube games. We're getting baiton Kados
remasters, and I always felt like, kind of google what this game is,
go for it. It was something that it's one of those games.
There's two of them that only I know about and very very rarely, and
there'll be people in I mean, these episodes go out to thousands of people,
and there'll be people in the comments that are like, well, I
can't believe what thinks He's the only one that knows about these. Come on,
you might know about them. Think about how many times you tried to
tell your friends, your family, people online about these games and everyone's like
huh. It always feels like no one knows these exist. But they're so
much like the Bait and Kados games that even still barely anyone even knows about
those games, but at least some people did, and these are like the
Underdog. I liked them more. No one ever talks about them. I'd
love to get them on Switch that I could review them and make people play
them because they're so good. But anyway, that's just a selfish thing I
have. I have a star Fox Adventure. I think we talked about Star
Fox I have that too. Yeah, we didn't talk about that. Yeah,
what's the game? It was gonna be Dino Adventures, right, it
actually might be called that, but it was just a generic dinosaur third post
an action game. I wish intend I mean I say this, but they
literally did this. I wish Nintendo would revisit games that they threw away just
for just for the sake of which for history's sake, like redo the Dino
game, like what they did with star Fox two. They totally scrap star
Fox two at the very end of development, and twenty five years later they
were like, here it is, so you want them to rerelease the dinosaur
version of it? Yeah? I doubt it was done. The ram exists
really yea, so it was done and they just reskinned it. Yep.
I felt like it at some point in production they will like take this,
but like stuff. I don't know. I don't know how done it is.
But I have the rom wow, so like you can play. Have
you played it? I haven't. I have not. That's interesting. I
have said this before and it's done A popular take. Don't like star Fox
the only one I do like is adventure and I actually love adventure. Yeah,
that's very strange. I think it's a good game. I think it's
underrated. I loved it when I played it at the time, and I
didn't love it, but I would like to try it to get like I
like the idea of it. When I think back to playing that in the
time, I don't have the same excitement for things like all Karina or even
mass Effect that we talked about, like playing it in its time and being
like WHOA, I just remember really liking it. I'm like, this is
a good GameCube game. I finished it, which I didn't do for all
GameCube games back then, and I liked it and I never understood why people
didn't like it, and it makes me want to be more passionate about it
than I am and defend it. But I think star Fox is really struggling
right now, and I think that there's some really I don't want to say
easy ways, because I mean every game development's hard, but there seems to
be some ideas there that would bang right now, and they just keep missing
and missing with star Fuck that It's funny that staff Fox was one of those
franchises they could never really figure out after the first couple, they literally made
the first star Fox and then they were like, we gotta just do this
again on N sixty four, and then they did, and then everything else
they did was baddened, and they were like, we gotta just rerelease the
N sixty four version on the three ds, and then everybody loved that.
Really, the only good one is the one that they keep rereleasing. But
then they really released it on the you and called it star Fox zero,
and they fucked that up. Somehow can I give an even spicy a take?
And I mean this insincerity, and I don't know how you're gonna feel
about it. I know you don't like. The only Star Fox game I
have liked is Stuff Fox Adventure. But the best Star Fucks game in its
most traditional form, Battle for Atlantis or whatever. That game is called the
Ubisoft game. Oh that game sucks where they added you were going to say
that shocks, but it was the best staff Foks because staff falks. The
story that they got was great, but also the way it played, the
way the ship's hand played like dog shit, It was Ubi on rails,
it was Ubisoft go to the tower, unlocked the map bullshit. You could
land on a planet and then fly out into the atmosphere and the Solar System,
or seamlessly go to space flight. It was a space game that somehow
felt exactly like The Division, which felt exactly like like in the Air watch
Dogs, which felt exactly I will agree with you. I will that it
did suffer from some Ubisoft tropes, but it felt different. It felt different
enough that I did enjoy it, and I did finish it, and it
was the most fun I've had with the staff. Foks ip My next game,
Ribbitt King Plus, you know that one. He didn't like that.
Ribbitt King has uh this golf like let's called Froth. I think it's like
a golf mini game. That's no idea. The golf is the only one
I understood so far. They have their own version of like a golf mini
game, and it's really fun in ribbet King Plus it's called Froth. I
think my last game, Ribot King. Do you want to get my last
game Ribot King? Yes? Last I have war Zone. No, I've
wanted that for Soul. That is not It is so badly optimized. It
is very badly hopest it's so badly optimized on every computer that I played.
I would just take a cool of Duty campaign. I wouldn't play it,
yeah, called duty in any capacity, but I mean there's no so war
Zone one is badly optimized. War Zone two is still not great, but
it's a little better. War Zone three is coming out this year, Yes,
Call of Duty, Modern Warfare threes coming out this year, and they're
gonna have their own version of war Zone? Are they gonna make Zone a
yearly thing? Now? I don't know. That's insane. That just tells
me that war Zone two really did bomb as much as it seems like it
did. They just want to move on. I would like to move on
too. I didn't like that. I would definitely play a new one if
they I mean, I played it a little with you, not you with
although Nicki Minaj is in it now, I know you got big booty.
I played a hit box. I played it quite a bit with fry Biscuits
of my friend Zepp Or when it came out for like a few weeks,
but not the first war Zone. We grinded that. Yeah, dude,
I played the ship out. That was so much fun. That also that
was kind of like magic in a bottle Lightening in a bottle because of the
pandemic. That was like the best way for me to like True Interact Wars
and Animal Crush. Also, Hannah, we are basically our whole relationship was
through war Zone. That's cute kind of uh, But yeah, the war
Zone two came out and I didn't like it at all. Yeah, I
don't like three. Hopefully that's better and hopefully it's better optimize put that ship
on the switch too. Now Microsoft is gonna have some say in that did
you ever play war Zone two? I played with you like one time,
a couple of times, and you just didn't like it. I played off
the rip when it came out and I immediately hated it. I was like,
I don't want it's it's not that good. Actually, I don't like
it. I fell off of war Zone one when when Caldera the new map,
the new map, and I was like, Caldera wasn't a good map
either. I didn't like it them it was still it was still better than
two. Let's get off war Zone. These people don't care about war Zone.
I'm done, Okay, I'll just blast through some of these. I
can't believe I took me this long to do the top of my list,
which is full out three, New Vegas, full out four. Honestly,
I'd even take full out seventy six. I'm that desperate. I don't even
like it. I feel like New Vegas gotta re release, not on Switch
Baby, Honestly, I out of all of those, the one I would
want to come to Switch the most is full out for please and thank you
take it when you do you uh concress bad Furda. I would like to
see come to that would be sick. Yeah. I never actually not coming
in antenna Switch online no show. Yeah, I never actually got to play
through that one. I played it at a friend's house a little bit,
but I would love to actually play through it. You know how first four
figures makes all the things that you have like the big thing I've seen it.
They have the great big poop, the big poop. Yeah, it's
what a weird one. It has corn teeth, What a weird one to
pick? And then why not the sunflower with the boobs. I don't know
what I want that one right here? Okay, you never played consad F
my final one stick with you. It's also going to go out to a
lot of people watching. I'm sure where the brick is Gensen Impact. Yeah,
people have been wanting that for a really long It was a game that
the developers themselves said they made because they were inspired by Breadth of the Wild,
which is why it's not on the Switch. That is the only reason
that game got made in the first place. And it clearly looks like a
Breath of the Wild. It looks like it was designed with the Switch in
mind. It's been on mobile for three years. That has some of the
best cross play I have ever experienced, one thousand percent and on release.
Before release, when it was announced for the first time the consoles, it
was coming to a Nintendo Switch was the first one, and then it just
dropped on PlayStation in PC after a little while Mobile happened. They haven't talked
about it at all coming to Switch, like, not even a little bit
since the first time they said it was coming. No delay, no talk
about what is happening not They didn't say it's canceled. It's still happening as
far as we know. I think that it. I think Nintendo is blocking
it for some weird reason why. I don't know. It doesn't make sense.
I think there is a diplomatic reason why it's not. It is enough
that it's not copyright, and Nintendo have let many other clone games and Breath
of the Wild looking things slip past or they're afraid that they're gonna get sued
for some reason. There's there is no reason. There's no reason why.
I think of a reason. Yeah, I can't think of a reason unless
unless Nintendo really is worried that it's free and it might take sales away from
actual Zelda. But it's not that much like Zelda. Yeah, I'd like
to know the conversation. There is a reason this doesn't This hasn't happened.
It's on mobile. That's an easy switch over. So yeah, it's on.
It runs great, It runs great on everything. And again it has
some of the best cross say I've ever experienced, because you just you stop
playing on PlayStation and you pick up your phone and you are in the exact
same spot you just stopped playing from. And being able to do that between
consoles and your switch would be amazing. I've been waiting to play this game.
I want to play it so bad, and I've been waiting to play
it. It's very now, it's very good. It takes a little too
long to get to multiplayer though. Yeah, I started it and I never
I didn't even realize it had body player because I never need to be like
a relatively high level that is the way food collecting game. I'm still holding
yep, I'm still holding out for it to come to Switch. I'm going
to keep holding out at this point. It might be launched day switch too,
but that's it. That was my whole list. Oh wait, I
do have one more, uh stop port begging and get a steam Deck baby.
And I actually saw that in the reddit in the reddity because you guys
steam Deck it's got all these games, literally every single game we said can
be played on the steam Deck. Yeah, it is kind of funny that
we had, maybe not legally at this point, so many ways and avenues
to play games. I mean, even between Bob and I we have the
wrong the steam deck ego, so many different things and a computer and why
this time is so exciting as a gamer or even just a handheld game.
So, without getting too into it in the hour and a half mark,
why do we want these games to come to switch so bad? You just
ruined the whole idea of the whole episode. That's the thing is the thing
I've been trying to talk about all year is that the Steam Deck ruined the
Switch for me because it has all of that stuff that I wish would be
on the Switch. And being able to bounce, having my Steam account and
being able to bounce between games on my computer and then on my handheld on
my Steam Deck. It feels like I'm playing a Switch to be fat though.
It does everything that Nintendo did, but a little better to be fa
though. There's no red dep redemption on PC, so that's one I'll have
something over Steamed. We got one. I just wanted to come to Switch
because I love the Switch and I want to I just want the library.
And there's something about collecting it physical and having that red label and putting it
on my shelf that I appreciate more than downloading it digitally on my Steam Deck
and being like I can play it now. That's not the same. Yeah,
you like physical stuff. I like. I like the digital because I
like I don't like having a lot of stuff, and I like being able
to have it on all my different accounts, you know, and and just
having all of my games in my hand without having to grab them off the
shelf, you know, like when I take my switch away with me,
it has like all library RAM jealous about that I have to bring my cartridges.
I will say of these games, all of the retro ones that I
said you can play on the Steam deck because you could just put a ROM
on it, I would still play it on the switch. Like Super Mario
Advanced four. I've been playing that a lot on the switch. That was
what I was playing on the flights I was recently taking. I could play
it on any device that I have because it's just a RAM, and I
have the RAM. I have the physical cartridge too. I could just play
the game. But playing it on not switch online, the emulation quality is
amazing. The I like actually the CRT filter that they have, it's it's
it's perfect on there. The switch is better. So for I'd say for
retro games, if they're available officially, I'd rather play them on the switch
because the switch is the best for retro stuff. Sure, yeah for everything.
No, don't, he's trying to pound me. I want to pound
you. You gotta get in your fist in the frame for the meme to
there you go. Yeah, I don't want to get it out of my
face when you ask for it. Okay, Uh, we actually had that
whole tweet thread that we were going to go through. Oh my god,
forgot it. Yeah, me too, But you know what, we get
to do it now on the bonus Okay that I'll pound you for, like
I do a bonus episode now, and I guess what we'll do is we'll
go through that tweet and see if there's anything we missed. But if you're
not gonna watch the bonus because you don't subscribe to the Patreon, which is
a low low price of five dollars a month, and you get sixty five
episodes right now for not for free. I always go to say for free.
It pretty much for free. It's like free sentence an episode at this
point. Yeah, you pay for one month and you get all of them.
But if you don't watch, if you can't watch that episode, just
let us know. Down below, there's a whole comment section down there.
What do you want to see come to switch? And if we already said
