So just <v Speaker 2>with your ass is my iron, you're gonna acknowledge me. <v Speaker 3>Hey, everybody, welcome to the week Interview here on the <v Speaker 3>WWE Podcast. We are ready to roll here and we <v Speaker 3>are only one week actually less than a week from <v Speaker 3>Survivors Series Wargames. Obviously, there's a ton to discuss on <v Speaker 3>a big week if you're a wrestling fan or if <v Speaker 3>you're a wrestling content creator like myself, or both, because there <v Speaker 3>is just gonna be It's gonna be a week full <v Speaker 3>of news, stories and rumors and a course results, and <v Speaker 3>it's going to be just a loaded, jam packed week. <v Speaker 3>So we're ready. I'm sure you guys are ready. We're <v Speaker 3>now kind of unofficially ready for WrestleMania season as Survivors <v Speaker 3>Series has major implications that most of the time towards WrestleMania. <v Speaker 3>So we saw this past week, say on Punk return, <v Speaker 3>we saw Paul Hayman return, people speculating about what that <v Speaker 3>could mean, and yes I was wrong, by the way. <v Speaker 3>We'll talk about how this fits in and some of <v Speaker 3>the things I missed as to why this does kind <v Speaker 3>of make sense, so we'll talk about that. But anyway, <v Speaker 3>let's get to some new patrons. I want to welcome them, <v Speaker 3>Alan Smith, Whisper and the Wind. I think I know <v Speaker 3>who that is. You <v Speaker 3>can go VIP there and everything add free. Okay, Well, <v Speaker 3>with all the shameless promotion out of the way, let's <v Speaker 3>talk about the biggest story of the week. Biggest story <v Speaker 3>of the week, Paul Hayman brings back CM Punk is <v Speaker 3>the fifth member. Now, I don't know how much detail <v Speaker 3>I'm going to be going in this week to every <v Speaker 3>little thing that happened on SmackDown or on Raw. I'll <v Speaker 3>do my best, But this is such a big topic <v Speaker 3>here because there's a lot of spiderweb possibilities of what <v Speaker 3>could happen and the implications of bringing back Punk. And <v Speaker 3>when we looked at who could potentially be that fifth member, <v Speaker 3>I did say, not that this is about me, but <v Speaker 3>looking back as to why my logic was faulty, I <v Speaker 3>had I had heard a few possibilities as to who <v Speaker 3>that person could be, who that fifth person could be, <v Speaker 3>and I did say that Punk is the least you know, <v Speaker 3>makes the least sense. I had the least logic behind it, totally, <v Speaker 3>forgetting of course that earlier in the year, CM Punk <v Speaker 3>and Paul Hayman did have an interaction on TV where <v Speaker 3>CM Punk came to the aid of Paul Hayman. Paul <v Speaker 3>Hayman was totally stressed out. If you remember, before Roman <v Speaker 3>Reigns returned, he was lost. He was stressed out over <v Speaker 3>solo taking the helm, felt like he was betraying Roman Reigns, <v Speaker 3>and he had kind of you know, he was cracking <v Speaker 3>and he told Punk that you know, you know, take <v Speaker 3>me with you. Now, there's no secret, these too have <v Speaker 3>an actual long term friendship off the air, well documented, <v Speaker 3>and that translates well on TV. It's believable because it's true. <v Speaker 3>But in storyline I totally missed it. Don't know why <v Speaker 3>that it raised from my memory, but it did. Now <v Speaker 3>I was wrong about that. The other options were, of <v Speaker 3>course brock Lesner, who I would have been a little <v Speaker 3>bit more excited about, to be Frank. I know many <v Speaker 3>of you don't care about Brock. You don't want him back, <v Speaker 3>or you say you don't until hear the music and <v Speaker 3>you're like, oh my god, which is probably ninety five <v Speaker 3>percent of people that say they don't want brockback would <v Speaker 3>still react that way. But when you have a brock <v Speaker 3>Lesner there, I think it would have been kind of <v Speaker 3>wild seeing Brock Lesnar team with Roman Reigns for a night. <v Speaker 3>You know, Lord knows, we've seen Brock Lesner go against <v Speaker 3>Roman Reigns long enough we don't need to see it again. <v Speaker 3>So I actually was kind of hoping it would secretly <v Speaker 3>be Brock, but I did think that it would actually <v Speaker 3>be Seth. Seth did seem to be the most logical <v Speaker 3>given the direction they were going, given the direction of <v Speaker 3>Bronson Reed on one side, and you're thinking, oh, well, duh, <v Speaker 3>it's gonna be Seth Rollins on the other. Now wrong. <v Speaker 3>Unless they changed things last second, they still could. They <v Speaker 3>still kind of a mystery attack at the end of <v Speaker 3>Raw where Punk is laid out and Seth takes his place, <v Speaker 3>and you could still do that. But assuming things don't change, <v Speaker 3>Punk is now the fifth member aligning with Roman Reigns. Yes, <v Speaker 3>there's tension there. They's a little bit at the end <v Speaker 3>of SmackDown this week with Punk and Rains. They didn't <v Speaker 3>say anything to one another, They just had the stare <v Speaker 3>down And yes, they eventually will have a match. I <v Speaker 3>hope there's a lot of history there, especially prior to <v Speaker 3>see them, Punk leaving WWE, taking seven years off, going <v Speaker 3>to AEW then coming back to WWE. A lot of <v Speaker 3>history there, the famous Cult Cabana podcast, the very first <v Speaker 3>time that Cmpunk spoke in a public setting after his <v Speaker 3>debacle with WWE and the cyst that was on his <v Speaker 3>his his mid section, and w you know, he's claiming <v Speaker 3>that WWE knew that he wasn't medical and medically cleared <v Speaker 3>to go out there, but he still did anyway. And <v Speaker 3>then at the Royal Rumble that year, that's when things <v Speaker 3>came to a head, and you know, they still had <v Speaker 3>him work, hurt, work, sick, he was on Z pack, <v Speaker 3>he was, you know, crapping his pants and yeah, all <v Speaker 3>the things. If you guys remember the Colt Cabana podcast, <v Speaker 3>I would love to know the numbers for that show. <v Speaker 3>It's got to be millions of views or listens. Anyway, <v Speaker 3>he mentioned Roman Reigns by name in that podcast, saying <v Speaker 3>you gotta make Roman look strong. WWE telling Punk you <v Speaker 3>gotta make Roman look strong. You got to make Roman <v Speaker 3>look strong, specifically in that Rumble. So there's some history <v Speaker 3>there that I don't think fans have forgotten about. It's <v Speaker 3>not lost on them, and I think that they would <v Speaker 3>be a nice pairing down the road, down the road, right. <v Speaker 3>I don't need it now. Don't need it now. I <v Speaker 3>don't need I don't need Punk attacking Rains. I don't <v Speaker 3>need Rains attacking Punk. There's time. But Rains is a <v Speaker 3>much more mature performer now he understands who in what <v Speaker 3>he is. Are his promos still a ever ba plus? <v Speaker 3>I don't think so. But that's okay. He's already reached <v Speaker 3>Hall of Fame level. Rains is there. He could retire <v Speaker 3>tomorrow and he's there. So I'm getting a little bit <v Speaker 3>off the rails. But this is the scenario we're in now, <v Speaker 3>with all the spider web possibilities, and then the spider <v Speaker 3>webs lead to rabbit holes, and the rabbit holes have <v Speaker 3>spider webs. Because you could say, well, if this happens, <v Speaker 3>then that happens, then these things have to happen. It's <v Speaker 3>really difficult to foresee what's going to happen. But you <v Speaker 3>don't know maybe what's going to happen, but perhaps who <v Speaker 3>happens here? And while my official predictions are coming later <v Speaker 3>this week, with it being Survivor's series War Games a week, <v Speaker 3>I do feel compelled to discuss the possibility here of <v Speaker 3>one man and what he might do, and that is <v Speaker 3>Seth Rollins because he was saying no for a couple <v Speaker 3>of weeks and you're thinking, Okay, they'll finally get him Unraw. <v Speaker 3>They they'll get them, and they were already going that <v Speaker 3>raw road on Unraw, with having Solo distract Seth Rollins, <v Speaker 3>allowing Bronson reed to pick up the victory in the <v Speaker 3>main event of Raw. So you're gonna going, okay, I <v Speaker 3>say what they're doing. They're gonna anger Seth enough to <v Speaker 3>say okay, screw it and go to team with Rains. <v Speaker 3>And that's what I thought was gonna happen. They were <v Speaker 3>already going that road. So the question now is, with <v Speaker 3>Seth Rollins not having an opponent for Wargames, he's not <v Speaker 3>the fifth member unless something wacky happens and he has <v Speaker 3>nobody else to really work with, what does he do <v Speaker 3>with Survivors series? The question, more specifically is probably what <v Speaker 3>does he do in or after the Wargames match? What <v Speaker 3>happens here? I do wonder, now, what if this is <v Speaker 3>just something I've just invented out of my brain right now? <v Speaker 3>But at this point everything's on the table. Bronson Reid <v Speaker 3>doesn't make it a Survivors series what if he doesn't <v Speaker 3>make it? What if? How about this? You know what <v Speaker 3>I think, I've got it. I'm gonna spoil my prediction <v Speaker 3>for Survivor series right now, here's what I think might <v Speaker 3>happen Seth Rollins and Bronson Reid. That story's not done yet. <v Speaker 3>He's also made it clear he does not like Roman Reigns. <v Speaker 3>The next time he's in the ring with him, he'll <v Speaker 3>stop his head into the mat. He also has no <v Speaker 3>love loss for Phil Brooks Sampunk none. They keep teasing it. <v Speaker 3>They have been teasing this rivalry now for a year. Officially, <v Speaker 3>here's my thought about Survivor series, And let me know <v Speaker 3>what you guys think about this. Punk stays at as <v Speaker 3>the fifth member, no weirdness, no backstage attack. Punk is <v Speaker 3>the guy. We've got our final og blood line. Then <v Speaker 3>on the solo so CoA side of the blood line, <v Speaker 3>you've got Toma Tongo tongaloa solos CoA Jakofatu right, and <v Speaker 3>Bronson Reid. Now, either before the match starts or during <v Speaker 3>the match, Seth Rollins takes out Bronson Reid. Now that <v Speaker 3>makes sense. They've been in a program. They want revenge. <v Speaker 3>They're not shy about doing backstage brawls. If before the <v Speaker 3>match he attacks him, leaves him laying hits him with <v Speaker 3>the lead pipe. Seth Rollins takes out Bronson Reid, seemingly <v Speaker 3>helping the og blood line, and Bronson Reid, who maybe <v Speaker 3>was scheduled to come out last, is now not going <v Speaker 3>to be able to do so. In his place is <v Speaker 3>set Rollins. That way, he's true to his word of <v Speaker 3>you know, attacking Roman Reigns, and he has no love <v Speaker 3>loss for Seampunk at all. They haven't even started the <v Speaker 3>rivalry physically yet, and that makes sense to me. The <v Speaker 3>only concern I have is you're gonna turn Seth Rollins heel. <v Speaker 3>I mean, this is this is where you do it? <v Speaker 3>And how do you do it if you're still going <v Speaker 3>to continue the Bronson Reid program. Unless that's the conclusion <v Speaker 3>where these two just destroy each other, or he destroys <v Speaker 3>Bronson Reid and then he moves on to bigger and <v Speaker 3>better things. I don't know, or during the match, maybe <v Speaker 3>he takes out Bronson Reid and he you know, annoints <v Speaker 3>himself as the replacement for Bronson. So there you go. <v Speaker 3>I won't get too repetitive you're but you gotta see <v Speaker 3>what I'm saying, He's not gonna be on the side <v Speaker 3>of Roman and see Him Punk. He will be opposed. <v Speaker 3>But the question is are we ready for a heel <v Speaker 3>Seth Rollins again? Is wwe ready for it? They're desperately <v Speaker 3>in need of some good heels, I will say, and <v Speaker 3>Seth Rollins has proven he can be a very good heel. <v Speaker 3>So that's my thought. That's my thought about Survivors series <v Speaker 3>and how that ends, and does the Rock still interfere? <v Speaker 3>I mean, there conna be some really really big names <v Speaker 3>in this. We've already We've already got se Him Punk there, <v Speaker 3>We've got Roman Rains there, We've got some big budding <v Speaker 3>stars on the other side with Solo Skula, Jacob Fatu <v Speaker 3>in company. So yeah, obviously the USO's Paul Hammond's back, <v Speaker 3>But what about the Rock? Does he show up? Maybe? <v Speaker 3>I mean The Rock just said hello and goodbye at <v Speaker 3>Bad Blood. We haven't seen him in a month and <v Speaker 3>a half, so yeah, possibly the Rock does to show <v Speaker 3>up too. But I think the Rock is gonna make <v Speaker 3>a bigger impact that the Royal Rumble, and we'll talk <v Speaker 3>about that as the weeks go on here. But now <v Speaker 3>I know a lot of people are also looking at <v Speaker 3>the Paul Haman undershirt instead of his typical full suit, <v Speaker 3>which was weird to see. And I don't know about <v Speaker 3>you guys did beyond the red shirt which was yes, <v Speaker 3>maybe a tie to solo Soakoa. No. I don't need <v Speaker 3>him to turn on Roman. I don't need anyone turning. <v Speaker 3>I can't make this any clear. This is my personal opinion, <v Speaker 3>and you guys, some of you, some of my listeners <v Speaker 3>I know, do feel differently based on the emails you <v Speaker 3>guys have sent me in the mail bag every week. <v Speaker 3>And that's fine, it's fine. You know, wrestling certainly a <v Speaker 3>subjective conversation, a certain subjective topic that doesn't warrant everybody <v Speaker 3>to think the same. But here's my, here's my can't <v Speaker 3>make it any more crystal clear than this. Nobody needs <v Speaker 3>to turn on anybody in the og blood Line. Paul <v Speaker 3>Hamon's not going to have a match. Paul Haymond turning <v Speaker 3>is not going to do anything for anybody. It would <v Speaker 3>just disappoint people. We've seen a civil war for how <v Speaker 3>many months in the og blood line. Every combination you <v Speaker 3>could possibly imagine under the sun has been done with <v Speaker 3>the OG Blood line of everybody turning on everybody? Could <v Speaker 3>Sammy turn based on the cell phone thing from two <v Speaker 3>weeks ago? Could Could Paul Hayman be the mastermind behind <v Speaker 3>the collapse of the og bloodline at wargames because of <v Speaker 3>the red T shirt that is matching Soulo so coahs <v Speaker 3>or like Yeah? No, The answer is no. I hope <v Speaker 3>these two things, whether they were intentional or not, come <v Speaker 3>back to a big nothing burger because I don't want it. <v Speaker 3>There's no need for it. The Rock is the guy <v Speaker 3>that's gonna stir the drink here when he comes back, <v Speaker 3>he will be that straw, the proverbial straw that stirs <v Speaker 3>the drink. As they say. So, No, I don't need <v Speaker 3>anybody turning on anybody. No, no Jimmy against Jay, No <v Speaker 3>Sammy turning because of the cell phone thing. No Paul <v Speaker 3>Hayman turning, No Jimmy again, No Roman going back heel no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, <v Speaker 3>no please, We've seen it all. Now with all that said, <v Speaker 3>we do you have a returning John Cena who's going <v Speaker 3>to be coming back in a month, and we'll see <v Speaker 3>what he does when he gets to SmackDown. I'm sure <v Speaker 3>I'm guessing he's gonna be able to float wherever the <v Speaker 3>hell he wants, but apparently so can everyone else. And <v Speaker 3>that's the other thing I want to say, And yes <v Speaker 3>it's going to be mentioned because it's it's just it's insulting. <v Speaker 3>As a fan at this point, I'm just I feel insulted, <v Speaker 3>not offended, Okay, just insulted, like my intelligence a little bit, <v Speaker 3>because we're supposed to just pretend that no one has <v Speaker 3>anything to do with the brand split. Now Seampunk's just <v Speaker 3>showing up on on SmackDown. He's a raw guy. It's <v Speaker 3>just ridiculous. It's ridiculous. And the way the draft was done, <v Speaker 3>you remember, because you guys remember the draft, how they <v Speaker 3>actually made their picks was ridiculous. However, if you're gonna <v Speaker 3>do it, adhere to it, stick to your own effing rules. <v Speaker 3>And they don't. They just have anyone come over whenever <v Speaker 3>it's convenient for the story. They don't bother to explain <v Speaker 3>why they're there. It's infuriating because you guys want to <v Speaker 3>have a brand split, but only when it's okay and <v Speaker 3>doesn't hurt the story. When it hurts the story, and <v Speaker 3>you're like, oh man, I wish I could have this <v Speaker 3>person over here. WW is just like, yeah, screwt, let's <v Speaker 3>just bring them over. No one's gonna say anything, no <v Speaker 3>one's gonna care, but they're probably proven right. Their assessment <v Speaker 3>is probably proven right because I'm the only one sitting <v Speaker 3>here screaming into the ether about the damn Brands split <v Speaker 3>rule adherence. Anyway, all right, Well beyond that, I spent <v Speaker 3>nearly the first twenty minutes here talking about the bloodline. <v Speaker 3>But I told you guys, you know I can't make <v Speaker 3>this a very long show tonight, and so don't know <v Speaker 3>if I'm gonna be able to go into the weeds <v Speaker 3>like I normally do, but let's try. Let's try it here. <v Speaker 3>So what happened on the rest on SmackDown. Well, yes, <v Speaker 3>we had the Cody Rhodes Kevin Owens promo. Yeah, we'll <v Speaker 3>talk about that when we get there, but let's start <v Speaker 3>with Chelsea Green versus Bianca versus Blair Davenport and a <v Speaker 3>US title tournament match. I will also talk about Jade <v Speaker 3>in a moment. So this match did end with Chelsea <v Speaker 3>Green beating Bianca, Belair and Blair Davenport in about ten minutes. <v Speaker 3>So Chelsea Green getting a very rare victory here. But <v Speaker 3>the finish was this. Green avoided a charging bel Air <v Speaker 3>sent her into the ring post. Davenport then climbed to <v Speaker 3>the top. Green intercepted with her superplex, intercepted her with <v Speaker 3>a superplex, and Bellair capitalized with the four point fifty. <v Speaker 3>But Green threw her off and attempted a cover of <v Speaker 3>her own. Bianca managed to pull her outside and tried <v Speaker 3>another cover for a near fall. That's when camera's cut <v Speaker 3>backstage and they showed Jade Cargill thrown off a loading <v Speaker 3>dog onto a windshield of a car. Belair charged to <v Speaker 3>the back check on her. So this is what you <v Speaker 3>get here. You get Chelsea Green with the victory. I <v Speaker 3>have no problem with that, and you get now the <v Speaker 3>start of a who done it? And this is a <v Speaker 3>really good move here if the intent is as follows. Okay, <v Speaker 3>number one, you give it Chelsea Green a victory. When <v Speaker 3>you look at Blair, Davenpoort and Bianca Belair, who will <v Speaker 3>probably looked at as the number one and number two <v Speaker 3>possibilities to win this, Chelsea Green gets the victory. And <v Speaker 3>you know what she should You know why because this <v Speaker 3>is what the US title belt was created for stars <v Speaker 3>like her. At this point, Bianca is a current US <v Speaker 3>I'm sorry, a current tag team champion for the women. <v Speaker 3>Blair Davenport, while she is getting some exposure, is not <v Speaker 3>really ready for a US title match or a title <v Speaker 3>run for that matter. Yet her career is still kind <v Speaker 3>of in its infancy in the main roster. So given <v Speaker 3>that Chelsea, it's a perfect person to win this number <v Speaker 3>two and the importance is increasing here, you hopefully split <v Speaker 3>up Bianca and Jade as tag team champions because appears <v Speaker 3>Jade meant be out for an extended period with this <v Speaker 3>quote unquote injury, and that means you have to have <v Speaker 3>them defend it, or if they can't defend it, they <v Speaker 3>have to relinquish it. And that's how you get them <v Speaker 3>to split without feuding, right because I have said that <v Speaker 3>if you're gonna do Bianca versus Jade, you're gonna have <v Speaker 3>a very tough night for Jade because she will be <v Speaker 3>exposed for what she is and hopefully that's vastly improved. <v Speaker 3>But when you put her in a world class athlete <v Speaker 3>matchup with somebody of Bianca's caliber, it she'll be exposed. <v Speaker 3>Can't hide it in a one on one match, especially <v Speaker 3>with Bianca, So that's good, right. The idea is to <v Speaker 3>eventually in the coming weeks strip them of the championships <v Speaker 3>because they can't defend them and Bianca can't defend them <v Speaker 3>on her own. Then that makes sense to it and <v Speaker 3>there's no feud, not yet. Right. Three, it gives Jade <v Speaker 3>an effing singles program for the first time since she <v Speaker 3>debuted in September of twenty twenty three. She finally has <v Speaker 3>I would imagine a singles program that we can look <v Speaker 3>at and go, oh wow, who's done? Who did it? <v Speaker 3>You know who done it? If you do them every <v Speaker 3>couple of years and they're not overdone, it's fun. Who <v Speaker 3>done it? Is a very basic mystery kind of clue version, right, <v Speaker 3>like it's mister Green in the auditorium with a candlestick. <v Speaker 3>It's literally that when we have to solve who with what? Why? Now? <v Speaker 3>Basic questions. Nothing over complicated here. And I think it's <v Speaker 3>a good thing because now, assuming that Jade and Bianca <v Speaker 3>are done as a tag team for the time being, <v Speaker 3>Jade can finally have her own singles program. This might <v Speaker 3>be indicative of w having the confidence enough in Jade <v Speaker 3>to give her a singles program. So that's number three, <v Speaker 3>all right, And all of these are important, but none <v Speaker 3>more important than hopefully this mean girl's awful tag team <v Speaker 3>of Jane and Bianca are done and that it could <v Speaker 3>finally give us a Jade singles program. Number four, I <v Speaker 3>forgot about this. Number four is most important for me <v Speaker 3>Bianca in her own damn program out of the tag <v Speaker 3>team stuff. Now she may continue to defend it of <v Speaker 3>this week's go on, and she'll eventually do it in <v Speaker 3>a losing effort. Good. I want Bianca to lose so <v Speaker 3>she can do what she does best, and that is <v Speaker 3>excel in the singles division. We've seen it. This wasn't <v Speaker 3>like a two month, three month, four month, five months, <v Speaker 3>six month, hell even a year detour. This was This <v Speaker 3>has been a long ass time that Bianca has been <v Speaker 3>pushed aside for the sake of Jade. And even before Jade, <v Speaker 3>you know, she she was not getting the princess treatment <v Speaker 3>that I think that she should at times. And anyway, <v Speaker 3>so does my my take on this. This is a <v Speaker 3>good thing. This, this mystery attacker story is a good <v Speaker 3>thing right now for all parties, assuming that's their that's <v Speaker 3>their intent now, if their intent is to have it <v Speaker 3>be revealed. Like, you know, remember when Triple H attacked <v Speaker 3>Shawn Michaels in two thousand and two before SummerSlam. It <v Speaker 3>was Shawn Michael's first match back in four years. It <v Speaker 3>ended up being Triple H who was revealed in security <v Speaker 3>camera parking lot footage that he was the one who <v Speaker 3>attacked Shawn Michaels. It could be where Jade. You have <v Speaker 3>Bianca feigning like she's trying to help Jade figure out <v Speaker 3>who found or who who attacked her, and it ends <v Speaker 3>up being Jade herself. Jade to me is, I'm sorry <v Speaker 3>Bianca herself. Bianca is prime suspect number one in the <v Speaker 3>eyes of most people, which would make you believe that <v Speaker 3>it's probably means that she's not it's not going to <v Speaker 3>be Bianca. So alrighty, well, anyway, let's continue. So we <v Speaker 3>have we have let's say Santos Asca bar versus Ell <v Speaker 3>Knight for the United States Championship because Elle Knight is <v Speaker 3>a p currently defending this on a nightly basis. Boy <v Speaker 3>oh boy, I remember the days when championship matches felt special. <v Speaker 3>I remember those days. Those are long gone. So this <v Speaker 3>match was let me get the time it's gonna be <v Speaker 3>time limited here at a time on this matt eight <v Speaker 3>minutes and after the match with l A Knight winning, <v Speaker 3>which by the way, he won after he set up <v Speaker 3>for a phantom driver. I'm sorry we had Santos set <v Speaker 3>up for a phantom driver, but Night reversed it into <v Speaker 3>a BFT and got the victory. After the match, which <v Speaker 3>is really where the story lies here, shin skin Nakamura <v Speaker 3>comes in hits Night into the corner, delivered a running <v Speaker 3>knee to the back of his head, there his neck <v Speaker 3>cole and graves and introduced footage of Tomasso Champa losing <v Speaker 3>it on the street profits and we go into the <v Speaker 3>whole tag team division, you know, squabble that's going on <v Speaker 3>right now. But Nakamura attacks again, and I think that's <v Speaker 3>a good thing. I think it's it's something that right <v Speaker 3>now shinz Gana Kamura needs. It, gives a new opponent <v Speaker 3>for La and Knight to work with. They're both very <v Speaker 3>good in the ring. Shins Gana Kamura hopefully continues with <v Speaker 3>his evolution the of this dark character, maybe even does <v Speaker 3>more of his promos that he did with Seth Rollins <v Speaker 3>and Company when he found away Wwe found a way, <v Speaker 3>somebody found a way to give Shinsky a voice, even <v Speaker 3>though they think or thought they couldn't give it. They <v Speaker 3>never gave him any mic time for the first six <v Speaker 3>years of his run. All right, So that's a good thing. <v Speaker 3>Does Shinzka and A Kamara have an actual chance of <v Speaker 3>beating La Knight for the United States Championship? Yes, I <v Speaker 3>think he does more than anybody else has thus far, <v Speaker 3>but that's not saying much given that you know Santos <v Speaker 3>is never gonna win it. You know, Barto's never gonna <v Speaker 3>win it ever, at least, I'm sorry I shouldn't say ever, <v Speaker 3>at least in this current iteration of the United States Championship. <v Speaker 3>La and Night with you know, being a massive fan <v Speaker 3>favorite didn't make sense right now. But Shinske is a <v Speaker 3>real threat, real threat to I ultimately think it's gonna win. No, <v Speaker 3>because that's what they do to Shinske. They build them up, <v Speaker 3>make do good things, make you believe, and then he <v Speaker 3>falls short. So I would expect nothing less here, all right. <v Speaker 3>We've also then got a really good promo here, and <v Speaker 3>this is also maybe even for some people, the number <v Speaker 3>one thing that happened on SmackDown at least the number <v Speaker 3>one talking point. It's at least in the conversation for <v Speaker 3>the top talking point of SmackDown. Given how good this was. <v Speaker 3>Now Cody didn't come out in his typical suit. That's <v Speaker 3>a nice change. Cody Rose decided to, you know, dress <v Speaker 3>like for the occasion, which is great. And even Kevin <v Speaker 3>Owens pointed out he didn't have his politicians suit on, <v Speaker 3>so I don't know if he listens to the show <v Speaker 3>or what the case is. It's always funny that, you know, <v Speaker 3>Cody never really responds to that. It's like kind of like, yeah, <v Speaker 3>I know, I look exactly like a politician. A bit <v Speaker 3>of an admission by omission. But let's go through this <v Speaker 3>a little bit. So we have Cody Roads addressed Kevin Owens. <v Speaker 3>He said it was face to FaceTime, and he said <v Speaker 3>the only person not sure, not there for sure, is <v Speaker 3>Randy Orton. He demanded Kevin Owens come to the ring. <v Speaker 3>Owens appeared and he had on a shirt with the <v Speaker 3>tuxedo you know, drawn on it, and security stopped him. <v Speaker 3>Owens call things that happened for the fierce first few <v Speaker 3>months Cody's fault. Cody got upset that he insinuated that <v Speaker 3>Orton getting piled driven was his fault. Owens got closer <v Speaker 3>and told Cody that he had fought the Bloodline for <v Speaker 3>four years and they had attempted to end his career <v Speaker 3>more than once. He recalled celebrating with Rhodes at WrestleMania <v Speaker 3>thirty nine for quote finishing his story, and then Cody <v Speaker 3>teamed with him a few months later after Roman had <v Speaker 3>alienated himself from everyone around him, and Owens said that <v Speaker 3>Rains had tried to end his childhood dreams since he <v Speaker 3>was eleven years old and that you team with a <v Speaker 3>guy that tried to do this to me. Cody said <v Speaker 3>that Owens is obsessed with trying to be a victim <v Speaker 3>and him choosing to team with Roman Reigns had nothing <v Speaker 3>to do with it. He said, Owens has every accolade <v Speaker 3>possible in w WE, and the only one who doesn't <v Speaker 3>realize it is Kevin Owens. Rhodes addressed their match at <v Speaker 3>Bash in Berlin and said Owens couldn't pull the trigger <v Speaker 3>on his bad knee, but instead decided to pull the <v Speaker 3>trigger on Randy Orton and crossed the line with a <v Speaker 3>band move and tried to end his career. He then <v Speaker 3>said this wasn't going to get solved on the microphone. <v Speaker 3>He'd be forced to beat it into him, and he said. <v Speaker 3>Rhoades said, whether it's tonight at Survivor Series or Saturday <v Speaker 3>Night's main event, I think we know it's gonna be there. <v Speaker 3>The ball was in his court. Owens responded that they <v Speaker 3>would have their fight, but it would be on his terms, <v Speaker 3>and he said, to close the promo, he loved Randy <v Speaker 3>Orton and that's what he did to him, and he <v Speaker 3>hates Cody Rhodes, and Rhodes replied that he doesn't think <v Speaker 3>Owens hates him. He hates himself, and there's no line <v Speaker 3>he won't cross to get his hands on him. Really <v Speaker 3>good stuff here now, I think Kevin Owens was a <v Speaker 3>line short here. His his last couple lines were very <v Speaker 3>effective in that he's saying, look, I loved Randy Orton <v Speaker 3>and this is what I did to him. Where he <v Speaker 3>said and I hate you. Where he missed the second <v Speaker 3>part is and imagine what I'm gonna do to somebody <v Speaker 3>I hate. If I would do this to someone I love, <v Speaker 3>imagine what I would do to someone that I hate. <v Speaker 3>He missed it. Now it's not a slight on Ko. <v Speaker 3>This doesn't didn't ruin the promo in any kind of way, <v Speaker 3>but it's just kind of the last thing you hear <v Speaker 3>from Kevin Owans. I'm like and like, okay, it's implied, <v Speaker 3>but he didn't say it, so that kind of bothered me. <v Speaker 3>I'm like, and imagine what you do to somebody you <v Speaker 3>don't let fine, I know you guys, I'm nitpicking, but <v Speaker 3>the fact that it's like, oh, one more line, one <v Speaker 3>more line and then drop Mike, and he missed the <v Speaker 3>one line to me, But whatever, I'm a jerk, so <v Speaker 3>it's all good. I mean, this was an outstanding promo <v Speaker 3>between the two. I don't like though, this is a complaint. <v Speaker 3>You can put this on the record of I think <v Speaker 3>it was Cody who called this a promo. I think <v Speaker 3>he did. And he also said, oh, this is you know, <v Speaker 3>you know better than anybody. This is a this is <v Speaker 3>a team effort. It's not just one person. Okay, stop Cody, <v Speaker 3>stop with the meta crap. Yeah, it's a team effort. <v Speaker 3>We know that because you wouldn't be able to because <v Speaker 3>you can't work yourself, right, You guys are in the <v Speaker 3>ring working together. That's the whole illusion, thanks jerk. And <v Speaker 3>then again he said something about this promo. You don't <v Speaker 3>call your promo a promo in the promo. That's the <v Speaker 3>kind of crap. I know he's trying to he said <v Speaker 3>these things to get more quote real, but you actually <v Speaker 3>take people out of the moment when you get that <v Speaker 3>far out of the circle of believability. Those two little <v Speaker 3>comments officially did irk me. So Kevin Owens knocked it <v Speaker 3>out of the park. And to Cody's credit, he can <v Speaker 3>go with the best of them. He is a very <v Speaker 3>good promo. I just don't like his meta stuff that <v Speaker 3>he tries to be more real, which actually makes it <v Speaker 3>seem more fun, and it also takes you out of <v Speaker 3>the moment. It's like, bro, come on, no, I don't <v Speaker 3>want to hear you call which you're doing right now <v Speaker 3>with promo. We do that. You know WW will do <v Speaker 3>that in their production meetings. We don't want to hear <v Speaker 3>you call it a promo in the middle of your promo. <v Speaker 3>Stop it just it's a little thing. But the content, <v Speaker 3>guys really good. Both men, Yes, fired up. Well. Kevin <v Speaker 3>Owens shows you if there was any doubt which he's <v Speaker 3>better at in which I think he's more comfortable in <v Speaker 3>it's being a heel. He's very good as a baby face, <v Speaker 3>but he's just exceptional as a heel. And I don't <v Speaker 3>think there's any chance of Kevin Owens, much like his <v Speaker 3>title chances in the past and title matches in the past, <v Speaker 3>there's any real chance he's gonna beat Kevin Owens or <v Speaker 3>Cody Rhoades for that w B under speed a championship <v Speaker 3>whenever they fight, whether it is at Saturday Night's main event, <v Speaker 3>whether it's Survivors Series unlikely, or on a regular SmackDown, <v Speaker 3>there's just no chance. Sorry, Ko, we love you, we do, <v Speaker 3>but it ain't gonna happen. So that's kind of it's <v Speaker 3>a shame. It's a shame. Kevin Owens just can't time <v Speaker 3>his title challenges correctly. It never feels like it's you know, <v Speaker 3>it's about ready to be lost. It's always kind of like, well, <v Speaker 3>they're gonna keep the belt on him because xn X reason. <v Speaker 3>But okay, Sammy's aim was also on SmackDown, by the way, <v Speaker 3>because you know he's part of the bloodline, all right. <v Speaker 3>We then have Naomi and Bailey versus Tiffany Stratton and <v Speaker 3>Candas lrat eight minutes long here with Naomi and Bailey <v Speaker 3>beating Tiffany Stratton in Candas Lray. The finish was Bailey <v Speaker 3>rolling up Tiffany for a two count and Stratton took <v Speaker 3>over on offense and backed Bailey into her corner. Candicel <v Speaker 3>Ray tagged herself in and they began arguing. She prevented <v Speaker 3>a tag and landed a moon salt on Bailey and <v Speaker 3>then Stratton tagged in, landed a running stomp and made <v Speaker 3>a cover, but Naomi broke it up. Just as Bailey <v Speaker 3>was about to make a tag. Nya Jacks pulled Naomi <v Speaker 3>off the apron and caused a DQ. After the match, <v Speaker 3>Eo Sky ran down to make the save as the <v Speaker 3>heels beat down Naomi and Bailey. Eo succeeded for a moment, <v Speaker 3>but ended up getting a big boot from Raquel Rodriguez. <v Speaker 3>Liv Morgan was out there as well, and it was <v Speaker 3>a five on three. Rhea Ripley, you know the raw star. <v Speaker 3>Remember that she comes out big pop and ran down <v Speaker 3>with a pipe and ran off the heels and stood tall. So, uh, <v Speaker 3>you know, I think this is despite the fact that <v Speaker 3>the RAN rules that I'll shut up about. But it's <v Speaker 3>worth noting every time they do it, because I'm not <v Speaker 3>gonna forget the women's match doesn't nearly have the excitement <v Speaker 3>of the men's and sometimes with this as of late, <v Speaker 3>over the last five six seven years since, they've really <v Speaker 3>been making sure that the women get have a match <v Speaker 3>or two or have this have their counterpart match on <v Speaker 3>some of the bigger shows, like the World Rumble, they <v Speaker 3>have their own Royal Rumble, like the TLC, they have <v Speaker 3>their own TLC or their own Money in the Bank <v Speaker 3>Ladder match. They have their own War Games match, they <v Speaker 3>have their sometimes their own Hell Little Cell match. They <v Speaker 3>have now their own mid Card Championship. And that's fine, <v Speaker 3>it's all well and good, but sometimes it doesn't land. <v Speaker 3>And this time it doesn't really land, and maybe they'll <v Speaker 3>surprise me. Sometimes having a low bar allows it to <v Speaker 3>easily exceed those expectations. So it's not that I'm down <v Speaker 3>on the women like I think. It's it's going to <v Speaker 3>be horrible, But the crowd didn't really get into this. <v Speaker 3>They popped, as I said, pretty decently for Rhea, but <v Speaker 3>that's it. They don't have a ton to really hang <v Speaker 3>on to here. Also, to be fair, they just followed <v Speaker 3>a great promo between Ko and and Cody, and you <v Speaker 3>know you're kind of you need you need time to recharge, <v Speaker 3>and it wasn't great timing for this this matchup here, <v Speaker 3>all right, Tomasso Champa took on montese Ford, and montes <v Speaker 3>Ford beat Choppa in just a shade under eight minutes. <v Speaker 3>After the match, Champa tried to jump forward, but Angelo <v Speaker 3>Dawkins ran down to make the save, and Gargano ran <v Speaker 3>down and tried to play peacemaker, but Champa just attacked <v Speaker 3>Dawkins with a cheap shot, and then the Motor City <v Speaker 3>machine Guns entered and Champa got to make an escape. <v Speaker 3>He he asked Gargano whose team he was on as <v Speaker 3>he stood in the ring with the guns, and that's it. <v Speaker 3>So I think this is fine for the men's tag <v Speaker 3>team division. It's your status quo. Just not a ton <v Speaker 3>of time, get everybody in the same in the same <v Speaker 3>segment here, not a ton of promo time, but get <v Speaker 3>people excited for a good wrestling match. That's really been <v Speaker 3>the focal point of the tag teams generally for the <v Speaker 3>men has been not a ton of character development, not <v Speaker 3>a lot of emotional attachment. But hey, we got a <v Speaker 3>great wrestling match for you. That's been essentially the motto, <v Speaker 3>I guess for the men excuse me for the men's <v Speaker 3>tag teams. Now, on the raw side of things, the <v Speaker 3>Judgment Day haven't defended those championships in how long? I mean, <v Speaker 3>they defended them once since they won them. So the <v Speaker 3>Judgment Day certainly need to do more wrestling, no doubt <v Speaker 3>about it, when it comes to the tag teams raw. <v Speaker 3>All right, let's continue. Oh one big note here, Jade <v Speaker 3>Cargill was pulled from her US Championship match next week, <v Speaker 3>so a replacement will be announced to face Meechen and <v Speaker 3>Piper Niven. So Jade, who was going to be in <v Speaker 3>this triple threat next week with Meechen and Piper Niven, <v Speaker 3>is not. And as I mentioned a little bit earlier, <v Speaker 3>this should be a good thing for Jade, that she <v Speaker 3>was attacked. But what if the opposite's true? What if <v Speaker 3>and I don't think it is, but what if it <v Speaker 3>is where they're just kind of pulling her from stuff <v Speaker 3>and slowly writing her off TV. They don't feel she's <v Speaker 3>ready or will ever be ready. I don't know. I <v Speaker 3>hope not. For all my Jade bashing, it's still something <v Speaker 3>that I want to see, to see or succeed in <v Speaker 3>because I see with w SE's in her, I see it. <v Speaker 3>I get it. You can market the hell out of <v Speaker 3>her if she learns the actual important parts of wrestling <v Speaker 3>other than hey, look at my body, isn't it? Isn't <v Speaker 3>it great? Don't I have a great physique? Aren't I <v Speaker 3>so muscular for a woman? Look at my Look at <v Speaker 3>my outfit? Doesn't it show off my curves? But also <v Speaker 3>don't look at my curves. It's like, yeah, that's essentially <v Speaker 3>what she does, and she's lived and breathed on it. <v Speaker 3>But the crowd doesn't react crazily, you know, positive towards her. <v Speaker 3>So anyway, before I go back down the Jade Cargill <v Speaker 3>bandwagon here and soapbox, I will just stop myself. All right. <v Speaker 3>This is when we had the Paul Hayman deal. And again, <v Speaker 3>ladies and gentlemen, I'm a great way to reintroduce himself. <v Speaker 3>Even Roman Reigns seems a bit surprised by Paul Hayman <v Speaker 3>when he came out and saying it's not gonna be <v Speaker 3>four on five, It's gonna be five on five. Que <v Speaker 3>up Cempunk's music Big pop, by the way, really big <v Speaker 3>pop for cmpunk, easily the pop of the night and <v Speaker 3>deservedly so, because you know he's been away for a <v Speaker 3>little while, not too long, five six weeks whatever it's <v Speaker 3>been for his body to recover. And I really I <v Speaker 3>I don't know how you guys feel about this. I <v Speaker 3>personally love it, given that we all know what time <v Speaker 3>off can do to recharge our batteries. And when we <v Speaker 3>look at a sport that we love so much and <v Speaker 3>connect with so much, and you see these men and <v Speaker 3>women being driven into the ground sometimes and wondering how <v Speaker 3>they they work so much. Was no off season to <v Speaker 3>see them getting time off now, especially if you're an <v Speaker 3>older star, you know you need it, and you need <v Speaker 3>time off to rest your body, rest your soul, rest <v Speaker 3>your your mental state, everything. Your physical body is breaking <v Speaker 3>down because we're just getting older. That's all great. And <v Speaker 3>having them also do tapings with sometimes this sole intent <v Speaker 3>of just giving talent time off, like they're giving talent <v Speaker 3>time off with some Thanksgiving and for the Christmas holiday <v Speaker 3>they're gonna be taping shows then too. It's a great thing. <v Speaker 3>I'm not sitting here trying to blow smoke up ww's <v Speaker 3>ass or be some kind of raw Rah Union person <v Speaker 3>or anything like that. It's just just from a humane perspective, <v Speaker 3>I think it's great that they allow, unlike during the <v Speaker 3>Vince McMahon regime, allow the talent to go home and <v Speaker 3>spend time with their families and recharge. It is just <v Speaker 3>I know we may not get new, fresh content, and <v Speaker 3>you may not see your biggest stars all the time, <v Speaker 3>and I don't like reruns, but I don't like pre <v Speaker 3>taped shows any more than anybody else does. But it's <v Speaker 3>a small price to pay for what I think is <v Speaker 3>more than due to a lot of these men and women. <v Speaker 3>So there there's my I don't know if it's a <v Speaker 3>Robross speech, but anyway, kind of a weird thing to <v Speaker 3>feel as a fan that I should care about, but <v Speaker 3>I do. I guess I feel like we've all been <v Speaker 3>over work, we've all been burned out, and I guess <v Speaker 3>that's how I'm relating to it. On that level. It's <v Speaker 3>kind of like, oh man, I wish high time off, <v Speaker 3>and these these men and women do, and it's great <v Speaker 3>to see. It's great to see the w W is <v Speaker 3>taking care of their talent. I guess in a more <v Speaker 3>on a more human level instead of just doing the <v Speaker 3>Vince McMahon theory of burnout until you burn out and <v Speaker 3>then you'll go through the real burnout and then you know, <v Speaker 3>it's it's just to me. To him, it's like, you know, <v Speaker 3>working harder is is the only option, you know, and <v Speaker 3>it I mean, what am I here to sit and <v Speaker 3>critique Vince McMahon for, because he is one of the <v Speaker 3>most successful entrepreneur entrepreneurs in the history of the world. <v Speaker 3>But it doesn't mean that to me, it would be <v Speaker 3>worth all the hard work and sacrifice that you know, <v Speaker 3>miss and all the things that are you know, that <v Speaker 3>happened in your life that you're not gonna be able <v Speaker 3>to be a part of, especially if you're married or <v Speaker 3>you have kids, and the birthdays and the graduations, everything <v Speaker 3>you miss because you're on the road or traveling and <v Speaker 3>too bad. So sad you need no. No, that's there's <v Speaker 3>still some of that because it's just the nature of <v Speaker 3>the beast. But when time off is giving around the <v Speaker 3>holidays with the express intent of just making the talent <v Speaker 3>go home and spend time and and just you know, decompress, <v Speaker 3>it's a great thing they do. So Okay, what the <v Speaker 3>hell am I doing. Let's go on here, Let's move on. <v Speaker 3>So we all saw the end of the show. As <v Speaker 3>I mentioned earlier with the first fifteen twenty minutes, I <v Speaker 3>opened the show with it. But the raw side of things, Remember, <v Speaker 3>Reid and Rollins had their match at the end of <v Speaker 3>the show, in which Solo so co interfered that's what <v Speaker 3>we thought was going to get Seth Rollins to snap <v Speaker 3>and join Roman Reigns, but I don't think that'll happen. <v Speaker 3>Bron bra Baker and Seamus had a match for the <v Speaker 3>Intercontinental Championship. The war Raiders versus Dominic and Carlito were <v Speaker 3>also a thing, and yeah, so that was raw. In <v Speaker 3>a nutshell, bron Breaker ends up getting attacked sam as <v Speaker 3>Seamus by Kaiser. If you remember that, Kaiser is likely <v Speaker 3>poised based on what we've seen on television for a <v Speaker 3>singles run here. Even Gunther said, don't worry about me. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>you make a name for yourself, that's significant, and yeah <v Speaker 3>he he kind of did. He attacked Seamus, attacked brown Breaker, <v Speaker 3>stood tall. I think there's some big potential in Kaiser, <v Speaker 3>and I'm not saying that on the bandwagon of oh Man. Well, <v Speaker 3>obviously you're saying that now you saw what he did <v Speaker 3>this week, No listen to my shows. I mean I <v Speaker 3>definitely have been saying that there is more to Kaiser <v Speaker 3>than meets the eye here, and hopefully that's what they're <v Speaker 3>trying to show us and continue to do over the <v Speaker 3>next coming weeks and months. And maybe it'll be a flop. <v Speaker 3>Maybe he'll suck, maybe you will. We don't know. Only <v Speaker 3>one way to find out. Let him go, cut the <v Speaker 3>line and let him go see where he swims, to <v Speaker 3>swim up, to swim down. Of course he's a fish, <v Speaker 3>then he can't drown. Terrible analogy. I should probably edit <v Speaker 3>that out, but I won't. I'll just embarrass myself. So well, <v Speaker 3>that'll do it for you tonight, guys. I hope you <v Speaker 3>enjoy it again. Big week with sharrobersaries Wargames. We know <v Speaker 3>that we've got some interesting theories out there. I floated <v Speaker 3>one out there earlier for you about Seth Rollins and <v Speaker 3>how he could be still part of the match, but <v Speaker 3>not on the team that he was originally slated for, <v Speaker 3>And I'd love to hear your guys thoughts as the <v Speaker 3>mailbag will coincide with the predictions for wargames, so it's <v Speaker 3>always a dual episode on the pl e weeks.
