Speaker 1: Reality with the King is hosted by me, Carlos King. I'm an executive producer who have produced some of your favorite shows from the Real Housewives in Atlanta, New Jersey and my own creation, The Love and Marriage Franchise and Bell Collective. Every episode, we recap reality television from the Real Housewives franchise to The Bachelor or Selling Sunset, in addition to celebrity guests, whether in the unscripted space or scripted as well.

00:00:36
Speaker 2: Hey Rain dropped on today's episode of Reality with the King. Listen, I am here with a new person because her last name has avisually changed, So give it up for me.

00:00:51
Speaker 3: Alexis Ballino, Jason. I'm not gonna say, are you keeping ball What are we doing here?

00:00:58
Speaker 4: Well, Hi, everybody, So, I'm I'm wearing a little this is this is the party. Favorite's funny that they did custom hats on that on this this this episode, because this is what all of my guests got to leave the wedding a custom cowboy hat.

00:01:13
Speaker 5: Look at that from the Rancher Hat company.

00:01:15
Speaker 4: In that cute Yeah, because we were doing a whimsical rustic wedding, so whimsical rustic cowboy is perfect for that but so with the name we are.

00:01:26
Speaker 5: I am legally Alexis Jansen, but for work.

00:01:30
Speaker 4: For right now, we're trying to like, Yeah, it's gonna be hard because it's like people won't know Alexis Janson. You know, I'm known for Blino. So we'll it will we'll face it in kind of like tamer did. I think Tamara took a year or.

00:01:41
Speaker 5: So to do it, So we'll see how We'll see how fully.

00:01:44
Speaker 2: Because because obviously Tamra's professional name, I think for the rest of our career will be Tamar Judge.

00:01:51
Speaker 3: But legally it's it's one an Eddie last name.

00:01:54
Speaker 4: No, it's je No, Tamar when she married Eddie was Tamarra Barney and had been that for ten or twelve years however long she'd been married to Simon and then and then she you know, married Eddie Judge and it took it took her time. She didn't do it right away. I think she's told me a year or more a little more. So we're just we're gonna slow roll it in eventually.

00:02:16
Speaker 3: Well look, but it works. Yeah, but.

00:02:21
Speaker 5: Alexis Jansen sounds good together.

00:02:23
Speaker 2: No, I think so too, And I would say I really thought Tama just has been her name since she got on the on the freaking show.

00:02:29
Speaker 3: So there you go, honey.

00:02:31
Speaker 2: It does work when you change it, and you when.

00:02:35
Speaker 4: I first started filming with her, she was Tama Barney for the first three years or yeah, because then on your four she married Eddie.

00:02:42
Speaker 5: I went to the wedding or no, it was a year.

00:02:44
Speaker 4: I don't remember, but anyways, I went to the wedding and then she was still Tama Barney for a little bit longer. And I've asked her before. I think she said a year, so we'll see.

00:02:51
Speaker 3: Okay, okay, and I know how was the.

00:02:54
Speaker 5: Wed the birthday weekend?

00:02:55
Speaker 3: Real quick?

00:02:56
Speaker 2: Oh? The birthday was amazing. I was in Cabo. We had a great time. I had so much fun. It was great, like absolutely zero complaints, like whatsoever, Right, this is my tradition, is what I do. So we had a really, really good time. It was nice just to be off the grid. So brain drops, thanks for hanging in there, because they're like, where's.

00:03:18
Speaker 3: Your episode of oh see?

00:03:20
Speaker 2: And I recorded it later I'm like, there's no Alexis and I'm bored. But you know, listen, I could keep my own some company. But it's better when I have you with me. So I'm happy that we are back in your wedding. Oh my gosh, the pictures from People magazine, your Instagram page as well, it looks so beautiful and the best part about it to me, just to be honest with you, it looked very intimate, like it like it was only for the people that you guys wanted there.

00:03:52
Speaker 4: You know, we started at eighty but that was barely like family and first group of friends, and then we got up to one hundred and fifty and that was way more than we actually wanted, but it was still intimate, and we did we did want something rustic. My last wedding was black tie every you know, tuxedos, everything black. So this wedding I asked for no black. I wanted things that matched the canyon and the drop.

00:04:14
Speaker 5: Setting that we had.

00:04:15
Speaker 4: We had done the wedding end and then we had instead of rows of seating, we did a circle of love, so everybody was in a circle around all the guests were in a circle.

00:04:23
Speaker 5: Around John and I.

00:04:25
Speaker 4: So that was a whole new concept and my wedding planner was not nervous about it at all, although we were because we were like, is this even possible?

00:04:31
Speaker 5: Is it going to work out? Okay?

00:04:32
Speaker 4: Can everybody still see us? And it won all it was. It was beautiful, It is amazing, so.

00:04:37
Speaker 3: Good, good, good, So listen.

00:04:40
Speaker 2: I want to ask you this before we get into recapping the latest episode of The Real House Wash of Orange County. I'm not sure if you've seen this or not, but heaf of the bro was on Wash What Happens Live last night and a fan did ask her if she attended your wedding. She said that she was invited, but that it was parents weekend and that although she's close to you, she is close to Shannon, and that she did a little bit weird, but she said, you know, she wished to do the best.

00:05:14
Speaker 3: Yeah.

00:05:15
Speaker 4: I saw it, and I'm a little perplexed by it. I haven't I haven't texted her or reached out yet.

00:05:19
Speaker 5: But it's funny.

00:05:20
Speaker 3: Because I.

00:05:22
Speaker 4: Don't understand it because we've gone to dinner with them several times, and I guess maybe it's a work friendship that I didn't think it.

00:05:27
Speaker 5: I thought we had a deeper friendship than that.

00:05:29
Speaker 4: But it's it's a kind of an awkward answer that she gave, and it sounded like, you know, like a couple of watch what happened live ago when she was trying to get me on the show. She said, well, I talked to Alexis more than I talked to Shannon, and now all of a sudden, yeah, she's filming with Shannon and I'm not filming. But we still just texted a couple of days ago and even a couple of days before that, and then she wished me well on my wedding day or after right after. I mean, it's like, so, I don't I know, we're both really busy. I was very perplexed by it, Carlos, to be honest, and I'm still I'm still kind of thrown off because I just heard it, you know what, ten hours ago last night after hed So yeah, I don't know. I have to get to the bottom of that. But yeah, it's awkward and weird. And she was very excited when she was knowing that she was, you know, when she found out we were get engaged. I even have to ask her to sing. I was like, do you want to sing at my wedding too? And she was like, oh my gosh, I was too stressful at Tamra's wedding. I don't want to do it again, and so you know, I don't know. I'm thrown off a little.

00:06:20
Speaker 3: So no, I could tell.

00:06:22
Speaker 2: I could tell no, Lessen, You're always honest, and I could tell and Listen, I will.

00:06:26
Speaker 3: Say this because we've been doing this. Oh my gosh, Pa, how many.

00:06:30
Speaker 2: Months now, and even last year when I was talking to you about the show, and again, based on our conversations a year ago, up until right now, it always appeared that listen, you, her and Tamra seemed to be the closest of the cast, and even even after the reunion, you were honest about my listen, me having Tamra had a conversation. I don't like things that I saw, but we were able to work through it. And I've seen pictures of you guys together since then. I've seen double dates since then. When she described your relationship that appeared to be a working friendship, I'll say this much. I had no idea and I watched the show colored me surprised that Heather's close to Shannon.

00:07:17
Speaker 3: I as a viewer, I was like.

00:07:21
Speaker 2: Oh, I didn't know that you and Shannon were close. I know that heathern and Tamar are close, and they've they've had their issues in the last episode, but I was surprised.

00:07:34
Speaker 3: I wanted to make sure to ask you because I don't know.

00:07:38
Speaker 2: I felt icky about it when I when I saw the response to me, felt very cold and very dry and listen, I'm not saying that, you know, you forego your parents weekend for your kids' kids come first, But I did feel that the response after that was weird. The parents think, okay, fine, the response after that when she said she was closer to Shannon, I was like, I found that out today and I was.

00:08:09
Speaker 4: I had the exact same knee jerk reaction you just said. I mean, when I was watching it, I was like, huh, Like it was like the I mean, it was so it was just it did feel icky, but it also felt like calculated and weird, Like I don't know, there was something weird about it, Like the whole thing is like it's like that's it didn't even sound like how they're really like, like, that's not how howther and I talk on the phone.

00:08:26
Speaker 5: So, so did something happen that I don't know about.

00:08:29
Speaker 4: I mean, we do have a couple episodes left to see on the show still I mean like, I'm like, you know, and that's probably when I'm in a text her, I'm gonna be like.

00:08:36
Speaker 5: Weird, ears up, like what what was that about? Like what that doesn't sound like you?

00:08:40
Speaker 4: And it doesn't sound like how we've talked on the phone and the friendship that we have. I mean, yeah, I haven't seen you in quite a few months, but I'm planning a wedding and you're off traveling to four different schools for your kids and filming a TV show. I get it, but it's like the whole thing was just bizarre. So I'll stay tuned. I'll try to get to the bottom of it. But yeah, change and reality TV does do weird things to you.

00:09:03
Speaker 5: And so if the alliance has to shift and she has to.

00:09:07
Speaker 4: Go all the way that way, then you know whatever I mean then that we really weren't friends to begin with. And I'm trust you me, I've got plenty of people that are real and true and those are the people I want around. So at the end of the day, whatever happens was meant to be. So that's how I look at it.

00:09:22
Speaker 3: That's it.

00:09:23
Speaker 2: And listen, at the end of the day, you married the love of your life and that is the concentration that you should be feeling anyway. And I just want to say this as your friend, I'm so happy for you. You know, I always tell people love does come around a second time for people who really had to just remind themselves that, look, this may not have worked out, but it doesn't means the end of me finding love.

00:09:48
Speaker 3: So I'm happy for you.

00:09:50
Speaker 2: You are such a good girl, and I in the smiles that I saw in the pictures and not only from you, and job with the kids, and that's all that matter, that's.

00:10:00
Speaker 3: All that mat earth And congratulations.

00:10:04
Speaker 5: Thank you, Thank you so much.

00:10:06
Speaker 4: No, I think the number one key to finding love a second time around is number one. You can't stay bitter about the past and about what has happened. They're transpired in other relationships and you can't bring your baggage to the next relationship.

00:10:18
Speaker 5: But you have to be open minded. And you know, I'm shocked.

00:10:23
Speaker 4: And it came when John and I were both broken and not thinking we were going to ever find love like that, and there it was. It's like God has his own plan. So hang in there, everybody looking for that second time around or.

00:10:33
Speaker 3: Third Yeah, there you go. There you got to go, so listen. Speaking up.

00:10:39
Speaker 2: This second time around, we have Gretchen and Emily meeting up again after last week's episode where we saw that Emily told Tamera, look, I'm gonna be honest with you. We had a conversation about the person we trust the least and me and Heather said it was you. And we didn't recap last week's episode obviously, but I will say this, I and I get in so much trouble for just being honest, but I just have to do my job. I was even shocked when Heather told Tamra, I do trust you the least, and I do feel like you know, you may say things about me. We're now on the same page, and I just thought like Tamra, in my opinion, has only defended herself for people that she has beep with, and it as a way to defend herself. So anyways, in this episode, Gretchen meets with.

00:11:44
Speaker 3: I'm sorry.

00:11:44
Speaker 2: Emily meets with Gretchen to talk to her about what happened at Tamar's house and to also stay back look. Tamar wants to meet with Katie to get down to the bottom of it, and Emily was not happy about it, and Gretchen seemed to be pissed.

00:11:59
Speaker 3: I meet really knew this, and I said this.

00:12:02
Speaker 2: Last week Alexis, Katie knows information that Gretchen does not want to come out.

00:12:10
Speaker 3: And now now rain drops, I will say this.

00:12:14
Speaker 2: I now am on Katie's side because it's obvious that Slade and Gretchen purposefully I stout Katie.

00:12:25
Speaker 3: Because she knew the truth.

00:12:28
Speaker 2: She knew the truth, and that's why Gretchen and Jen, who I think is still innocent in all of this, worked together to foot of Like I saw, Katie, what do you think?

00:12:43
Speaker 4: Well, the funny thing is is that you know, you think that the truth would always be what the girls want to hear. But in season eighteen, which I was the friend of, they had all the truth right laid out right in front of them. I had the evidence, I had the proof, the attorneys had the proof. We had the paperwork showing that John Pays were more than the other girl, the the other person. But it's like, it's like the girls don't really care about the truth, is what I'm finding out now watching season nineteen two. What they care about is doing what either the storyline is supposed to be doing. Or they they want to ice someone out for whatever personal reason they have on that person, they don't want to really listen to the truth.

00:13:18
Speaker 5: So that's another ick factor.

00:13:20
Speaker 4: Carlos, maybe we need to say this episode is called the Ick, But like, you know, I don't know, it just feels it feels off to me. It feels like, how can people not see the truth?

00:13:31
Speaker 5: I don't.

00:13:32
Speaker 4: I mean, I can see it watching it as a second, you know, sitting back being objective to the show, not being like I used to be on a TV show, but like just being.

00:13:40
Speaker 5: Objective about it. It's like wow.

00:13:42
Speaker 4: But I feel they don't care about the truth and they just they do want to ice Katie out. And I think that, Yeah, maybe the girls are rallying around Gretchen for whatever reason, but I think deep down the girls know that that what was said that night at Mastros or whatever restaurant they were at with Katie, that it Katie is telling the truth. I do believe deep down the women think that Katie's telling the truth on this one.

00:14:05
Speaker 2: Oh, I think so too. And I think so too. And look, I think what I've always said for years from this podcast that always sort of like made social media upset, I don't only give a shit. Was the fact that these shows are built on alliances, and we just talked about that earlier. It is so obvious that what feels icky and disjointed election that you're feeling. And that's the reason why I'm so happy to be having this conversation with you, because you were a part of that show. You know these women, and you know that world of being a reality star. Even you can can tell that things feel icky, and the ickness is the fact that it's selective. Outrage is not a situation of look, this is black or white, this is this is obviously an attempt to take someone down despite my life for them.

00:14:58
Speaker 3: It is what it is.

00:15:00
Speaker 2: And I think when it comes to Katie, the reason why Emily has a heart on for her is because and listen, I said this from day one.

00:15:10
Speaker 3: I one thousand and ten percent.

00:15:13
Speaker 2: Believe that Emily was talking shit about Heather around her kids and the nanny. Like I believe it because guess what it happens sometimes I think parents sometimes forget that the kids already their earshot.

00:15:27
Speaker 3: And you say shit over the phone. I don't think she.

00:15:30
Speaker 2: Said it to the kids, Like guess what that woman Heather's is of whatever. I think she was having a free conversation and the kids overheard it, and that's okay. And I think they iced out Katie because they just don't want the truth to be revealed, which is why I thought it was so funny that Gretchen called Emily a popstorer and she got offended and she left, And it's sort of.

00:15:54
Speaker 3: Like Emily your potstorer.

00:15:57
Speaker 4: Like you actually watched Are seven seasons over again a few seasons ago and keep seeing how much of the.

00:16:08
Speaker 3: Stirring is going on exactly. You have a pot line at Williams Sonoma. You are a podstarer.

00:16:17
Speaker 6: You know what.

00:16:19
Speaker 4: I respect people who just go, yeah, I am like when people say you're kind of dizzy.

00:16:23
Speaker 5: Yeah, I graduated with like.

00:16:24
Speaker 4: A four something from Bachelors of Marketing, But yeah I am dizzy sometimes. Okay, so I got a brain. But I'll own it and I'll laugh about it. It's like you could own it and not like get offended. If you get offended, you know what it means. It's true if you don't get offended and you go, I am not a potst or whatever. If you think that woul are, then you're not it's not true, you know what I mean, it's like your reaction. So the reactions tell it all for me. Like you know, people call me ditzy. I don't go I am not diffyt and walk off, you know, I'm like, yeah, I say funny things sometimes and I'm.

00:16:55
Speaker 5: Like, wait, did I say that really? And I didn't mean that.

00:16:57
Speaker 4: You know, my brain was going faster than my I mean, my mouth is going faster than my brain, And I like.

00:17:04
Speaker 2: No, But I think that's that's what's so charming about you, sort of like just all who you are. I like the fact that you know camera's sort of like, look, I was I was a big a bit in that moment. I was angry or or yes, in this moment, that's who I am.

00:17:19
Speaker 3: I like it when the women are able to say just that.

00:17:23
Speaker 2: And I think Emily has the only fact that listen, you are poster but you're also as reality star doing your job, and I'm I'm not upset with it. I'm only upset with Alexis and I can both see that you ladies aren't being normal because you're trying to ice out somebody and you're trying to build upon an alliance based on your likeness of somebody, not even a friendship, it's the likeness.

00:17:52
Speaker 4: I think what they're doing right now is they know that season twenty is a big season, and there's been rumors that there's going to be a huge recast.

00:18:02
Speaker 5: Okay, I think what the.

00:18:03
Speaker 4: Women are doing is figuring out exactly who they want to work with next year, and they're trying to build that cast on their own by saying, Okay, I'm gonna ice this person out because we don't want her. I'm going to ice this person out because we don't want her, and we're all going to act like we're friends. By the way, none of.

00:18:20
Speaker 5: Them are really friends.

00:18:21
Speaker 3: Can you see it?

00:18:21
Speaker 4: It's like every last episode we didn't get to recap on college that would have been thirteen, it's fourteen now last episode. In this episode, it is so clear as day that there is so much strife and just like none of them really really have a friendship. They're just really there to do a job. And the problem with that is you can't just have a TV cast only. There has to be some genuine true friendships in the cast to also then bring in some of just the TV friendships you don't have to be good friends with all of them. But the best time the TV show looks and works good, in my opinion, is when there are a couple that are you know, are true die hard friends.

00:18:54
Speaker 5: And they still get in the tips and do that.

00:18:56
Speaker 4: But I meant, watching the last two episodes, I'm like, there is I just know. It's like it's so much fighting, it's so much combative and so much Oh, let's act like we're friends now, even though I'm mad at you about this and I don't know. It just seems like there's no real glue or gel to any of it. But that's why I think the women are trying to behind the scenes, yeah, and behind production kind of like, go, this is who we want to film with next season. So here's here's what we're laying it out for you. Here's what we're gonna do, and we're gonna fake everything else. I saw people that don't even need to be iced out and do have some truth being told because this is what we want our cast to look like.

00:19:29
Speaker 5: That's what I feel.

00:19:32
Speaker 3: I have AHA moment, and you don't have to say anything. This is my opinion. Based on what you just said, I now understand why Heather said what she said and watch What Happens Live about her and Shanna being closed.

00:19:49
Speaker 2: I actually agree with everything you said about these women are trying to make it appear that I'm friends with this per so that we all can go together for season twenty, because season twenty is such an important season that news flash, rain drops.

00:20:07
Speaker 3: I'm gonna save this to you now.

00:20:08
Speaker 2: This is not me having insider information, it's just me being a producer.

00:20:12
Speaker 3: You will not see the same cast next season.

00:20:15
Speaker 4: Oh just what, Carlos, There's no way I could do this cast next season because, like I just told you watching last episode that we didn't get to talk about, there's no glue.

00:20:23
Speaker 5: There's no like true friendships.

00:20:25
Speaker 4: There's no And also it's gotten so dark and nasty between so many of them that it's like there's gotta be some kind of you know, like just two or three episodes ago that we were podcasting about together or recapping on, I felt like there was some fun and some some light. You saw some light and not such a dark thing. But I feel like the last two episodes are just like it's just fighting. Even though they sold some charity work and they showed, you know, the girls getting ready at their houses and the dog's psychic was funny and fun and cute, but it's like there's just too much not getting a long list, too much batting and not seeing eye to eye or even like trying to. Like, let's talk about Tamara and Heather. They're not seeing eye to eye at all. And this is what makes me the maddest about the whole thing is Tamar was that last year nineteen when Teddy first got diagnosed, Tamar was so broken. I'm talking like, like, can nobody understand how hurt she was and how hard that is to know that your best friend they didn't have. You know, Teddy's got a better you know, look it's looking better now or whatever.

00:21:27
Speaker 5: But it's like it's like you don't know what Tamer was going through.

00:21:30
Speaker 4: I think they would if you think you're one of your best friends is really really really really really really sick and possibly fighting for their life. And it's like none of the women gave two shits. Pardon my French, I'm not cussing. I you know, I say that every time, But nobody gave a care about that, And all they did was just to want to still tell tear Tammar down. And it's like Tamara has not been that awful to these women, more awful than they've been to everyone else on the show.

00:21:53
Speaker 5: Every single one of these women.

00:21:54
Speaker 4: If we go back and we recap any of the other up, we could go back Carlowshu and I and we could go, oh remember this scene, would you know when she called Shannon a bad parent and said that the government was going to or was that Shannon Degina whatever. But I'm saying, each person, what my point to this was, each cast member, we could go around and say you were not a good person at that point.

00:22:12
Speaker 5: You have been bad, You have been naughty, you have been mean, and you have been dirty. And now it's all going on Tamor's shoulders.

00:22:18
Speaker 4: When Tamara was having the hardest year of her life and nobody gave a crap about it, That's the part that bothers me.

00:22:23
Speaker 5: And it's not because I'm buddy buddy with Tamara.

00:22:25
Speaker 4: I'm saying, as I'm being an objective viewer, if somebody else had gotten in a car accident, Oh my god, like they wrapped around talk about a car accident.

00:22:33
Speaker 5: Shannon got a dui, They wrap around her. They sure care about her. But then and that's her.

00:22:38
Speaker 4: Own, you know, on her own, she decided to do that and made that choice.

00:22:42
Speaker 5: Tama's going through something she has no control over.

00:22:45
Speaker 4: But then they don't want to give her any kind of love or support like organic or true because you know, Heather tried to act like she was, but you could tell that she wasn't really hearing Tamora, and Tamara wasn't really hearing Heather. I mean, I understand where Heather was, like I was trying to explain to you and open up to you about my dad. But Tama is not in a place to go deep with someone right now. Tamora was in a play at that moment. I think Tamor is in a place she needs a hug. Tamar needs somebody just to cry on someone's shoulder, and none of the women gave her that.

00:23:11
Speaker 5: They just keep coming at her. I don't know.

00:23:13
Speaker 3: I agree with you.

00:23:14
Speaker 5: I don't know how she did it.

00:23:15
Speaker 4: This is why I know why she quit, because I would be on the other end of the line with her crying or when she's crying about it. I can see why she would want to quit, like there's no support in her darkest hour you know it's horrible.

00:23:27
Speaker 2: No, I agree with you, and listen, I was fucking to Tamar while she was going through the things with Teddy because you know me, me, Tamara and Teddy we are friends and even like I think two years ago, this is right, but this is really like maybe months before Teddy was diagnosed with having the cancerous tumors, we were going to go on tour, not not not not a tour, but we got a tour stop in the o C. And around that time we were talking. And then after that, you know, you know we don't have with Teddy. But Tama was very emotional, and look, I also think this.

00:24:05
Speaker 3: I agree with you that.

00:24:07
Speaker 2: Look, each of those women have had moments where they weren't the best of friends with each other. I told Tama to her ears, okay, you were not nice to Shannon, and when she was going through it, sorry, and she's like, but Carlos.

00:24:22
Speaker 3: Then you know she gave her reasons.

00:24:23
Speaker 2: I said, I understand it, but you also have to understand this.

00:24:27
Speaker 3: She is going through something so.

00:24:29
Speaker 2: Horrific that it doesn't matter what you may know and experience.

00:24:35
Speaker 3: In this moment.

00:24:36
Speaker 2: What happened was horrific, and I understand why the audience had a reaction. They all jumped on Tama's throw for that at the reunion. I find it quite funny that now Tamra, like you said, she didn't do anything self inflicted. Her best friend, co host of their hit podcast, has cancer bring to marks in the hospital, and she's she obviously seems a bit off emotionally.

00:25:04
Speaker 3: Tamra does on the show.

00:25:07
Speaker 2: Give her some grace for this moment, whether or not the audience thing she deserves it. Whatever, because the audience has selective outrage based on their favorites.

00:25:17
Speaker 3: It is what it is.

00:25:18
Speaker 2: But I just think, at the end of the day, this is my opinion. I don't think Heather is friends with anybody on that show. I think Heather's friends are a Beverly Hills and that's that's. That's she The logitective tests confirmed that she wants to be there. She she It is what it is, and that's why I said last week, Tamra and these girls are not your friends. I think the only friends on that show this season, honestly, by being real, will always be Emily and Gina. I think they're like each other.

00:25:47
Speaker 3: That's it. That's that.

00:25:49
Speaker 2: The rest of them. I see, we're here to work. It's an alliance and that's that. So I actually agree with you on that one. I want to move on though, because Katie came back in this episode.

00:26:01
Speaker 3: And Tamara said, look this, we're gonna sit.

00:26:04
Speaker 2: Down and have a Ponderosa and Alexis we have to get into the revelation that Katie revealed. Katie pretty much told Tamra that Slade pretty much orchestrated all of this. That Slade told Matt that Katie needs to stick to the story because it's.

00:26:28
Speaker 3: A legal issue.

00:26:30
Speaker 2: Is that Katie no, And we'll get to what happened later because everything sort of and rain drops. I want you guys to be able to always watch this show and kind of see like how everything comes together full circle. I believe Katie. I believe that Slade said that to Matt. It all makes sense to me. And that's the one thing they did not want to come out, is the fact that I do believe that Gretchen allegedly did tell Haiti and Jin that Tama drugged her.

00:27:06
Speaker 3: I believe it. I believe I believe it too.

00:27:09
Speaker 4: I believe I did too, and it's I I think, I mean, give it time. Maybe we'll find out more than you know. Maybe there'll be more about this on the next couple episodes. I'm not sure, but like it's interesting to me how once again there's evidence like that that text that Katie showed does show that, Okay, I was saying, I'll cover up for you. I promise I'll cover up for you. But it's like, there's the evidence. The proof is in the pudding. It's right there, and and people are deciding to turn the other way.

00:27:42
Speaker 5: So I I it's so baffling.

00:27:45
Speaker 4: And and you know, that's why I do think it does need a recast. I think it's going to be good to have a recast and and keep some and get rid of some or whatever they want to do or start all rush again.

00:27:54
Speaker 5: I don't know, but but I.

00:27:56
Speaker 4: Just feel like because of the fact that no one's really looking at the true or believing what's really out like that what's right in front of her eyes, I feel like it's just it's it's hard to watch it, Carlos, you know, because you're sitting there going but wait, but wait, you want to like come through the screen and be like, but look look at what's right here, Like you know, and the poor Katie.

00:28:15
Speaker 5: Because not poor Katie. She kind of caused herself, but she lied.

00:28:19
Speaker 4: At the beginning a couple of times that that that really have hurt her.

00:28:25
Speaker 5: The feeling that the women can ever trust her again, it has her.

00:28:27
Speaker 2: Yeah, the boy who cried Wall you know what I mean, It is my best story.

00:28:32
Speaker 3: Yeah.

00:28:33
Speaker 4: You and I both said before just because you've lied once or twice doesn't mean you lie all the time.

00:28:37
Speaker 5: It doesn't.

00:28:37
Speaker 4: Maybe she has learned, maybe I feel like for me, for Katie, when she first got on the show, she was like a deer in headlights. I've said this on another podcasts with you, and I think that she's learning now and she's kind of getting her getting her footing, you know a little bit more, because she even even though she's broken right now, that conversation she had with Tamra at the at the restaurant or the bar or whatever, I feel like she even seemed like she was more poised, broken but poised, but like like she's getting it a little bit more now, Like now she's like, look, I am so sick of covering up for people, and you know, YadA YadA. But so I think that that's what has to happen. I think that the recast, but I think that the women are never going to believe Katie now. I think she's unfortunately, but I'm with you. I agree that Katie's telling the truth on this one, one hundred percent.

00:29:22
Speaker 3: Yes.

00:29:22
Speaker 2: No, It's crazy to me because I love Gretchen. I've been watching OC since season two. When Gretchen came on, I was like, who is this bat chick?

00:29:38
Speaker 3: I love her. I don't care if her man is this age. I'm like, I'm like Gretchen, Gretchen is so likable and what's funny? Gorgeous? And I was like, yay, this is some fresh energy that this show. I don't know I needed it.

00:29:55
Speaker 2: So when we learned she was coming back, I'm like, yes, because I expected that same level of freshness.

00:30:02
Speaker 3: And and and.

00:30:03
Speaker 2: Like you said, like you know, she's fun, you know, like like let's inject some fun into this show. You know, she's a fun girl. I am worried about Gretchen. And I'm worried about her because who she was in this episode. When she's around Slade, I don't recognize her. I'm concerned about what influence Slade has on her. And and and The reason why I'm sounding so serious is because.

00:30:34
Speaker 3: It I'm just gonna.

00:30:38
Speaker 2: Say, she seems to be influenced by Slade, because I don't know any woman, especially the Gretchen that I saw years ago, that would gleefully want their male partner to confront a woman.

00:31:00
Speaker 3: I was.

00:31:01
Speaker 2: I was so disturbed by it. It's one thing, Listen, I've worked on a lot of housewives, right, Niini Leaks and Greg were married at the time, and so was Cynthia Bailey and Peter Thomas. The difference is those two couples were the best of friends, vacation together, off camera.

00:31:21
Speaker 3: Hung out.

00:31:23
Speaker 2: When Nini and Peter had their issue, it was never a situation where both of their partners weren't around. And again, they were really friends, so they also knew, like, look, there's love here in the midst of.

00:31:41
Speaker 3: Our disagreement, like brother and sister.

00:31:45
Speaker 2: Slave's attention and confronting camera who he does not and never did have a friendship with was weird, and it was weird that Gretchen was put up to do it. And now I've connecting the dots and what Katie said about what was laid told Matt, and now I'm seeing Gretchen lead the charge to have this man upfront camera is I was. I was extremely disappointed in that and I thought it was gross.

00:32:19
Speaker 4: Well yeah, and I don't feel like like the men really on this show shouldn't get involved like it really. I mean, if you if you haven't learned by you know, she was on it for for seasons before, and it's like it never, it never pans out well for the man. If it's it's called Housewives of Orange County, yes, the men are a nice little you know, you know, sidekick, but it's never the men should be getting involved in the fight unless it's an argument between two of the men. What if two of the husbands have an issue, no problem, right, it's it's that's respectable and okay, you guys have an issue and deal with it. But they're probably not going to air out of that because it's Housewives, not house Husbands of OC.

00:32:55
Speaker 5: So yeah, I don't agree.

00:32:57
Speaker 4: With it, But I the part that concerns me most is just why would they even try to go up to Tamar at that point, You're at a charity event, it's the end of the night. Why are you even going to confront anyone? It's just it's all about timing too, you know. And and what if Gretchen and Slaye had said, you know, Tamar and Eddie, can we sit down and have a talk, like let's talk, let's let's meet up next week for coffee or whatever, and let's have it. Let's sit it out and just hash it all out. Totally different, totally respectable. At the end of the night, when a couple of people have had cocktails, it's you're you're you're raising money forty something thousand dollars. Good job, It's like or maybe that was Heather's charity. I forget what that one raised, but anyways, you're you're doing you're there for a charitable cause. You don't want to start drama at that and and then to bring your you know, boyfriend into it with it, It's like, no, not okay, I'm with you.

00:33:45
Speaker 3: Yeah, you know it was it was. It was really weird to me.

00:33:48
Speaker 2: And that's why, look, Emily ride the fence, but whatever, that's just who she is.

00:33:56
Speaker 3: But I did appreciate her telling Gretchen and like, look, that.

00:34:01
Speaker 2: Was pretty you know aggressive what you guys were trying to do to Tamra, Like, I'm not here for it, and I'm like, yeah, it's not. And the fact that Gretchen didn't understand that she and she yells at her then yelling at each other, then they leave, and Gretcha's saying like, well, it's the fact that you know, Tamra is say things about Slay, and Slay has the issue.

00:34:26
Speaker 3: As a man, I would have done what Alexi just outline. As two couples. Let's all sit down.

00:34:38
Speaker 2: Let let Eddie, Tamra, Slay and Gretchen have a conversation.

00:34:43
Speaker 5: Then no one's no one's ganged up on.

00:34:45
Speaker 3: It's equal.

00:34:45
Speaker 5: It's like there's two men and there's two women. It's they're both, you.

00:34:49
Speaker 4: Know, couples, and you can hash it all out because otherwise it's it's slave and Gretchen on Tamera. It's not okay. Then no one likes the gang up. And it's also not okay for some man to be yelled in a woman's face. Like you said, it's not okay. But you can see that the anger seething from Slay, like he just is never going to be happy until he gets to scream at her or something.

00:35:08
Speaker 5: I don't know if he'll even be happy then, but.

00:35:11
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it's pretty deep.

00:35:13
Speaker 4: You can see it, and you can see Tamara not wanting anything to do with the issues they've had twelve years ago in this and that you can you could literally see her like I'm over it, Like when are they going to get over it? And then it's just I just can see Slade and Gretchen just hanging on to it, all of it, just hanging holding it, you know, like we're not going to move past this. When will they? That's what I'm going to ask Carlos. When will they get over it? They've already made their point. They've already made several accusations that have panned out to not be true. They've already yelled at each other like when is it going to be?

00:35:43
Speaker 5: Enough? Is enough?

00:35:44
Speaker 2: Like?

00:35:44
Speaker 5: What is it going to have to do?

00:35:46
Speaker 4: Like like that one season when Heather said, do you want me to give you my first born child? Like, like what do they want Tamar to do to move past this? Because it's obvious Tamar's ready to let's let's all do it.

00:36:00
Speaker 3: I can't believe.

00:36:01
Speaker 4: I can't believe yourers aren't sick of hearing about this. Also, I'm like so over it.

00:36:05
Speaker 2: Well, no, there's on a few things I've seen on social media. A lot of people are over it because it's sort of like the thing is this, there's no resolve, and it's sort of like there's there's there's no resolve because the difference is.

00:36:24
Speaker 3: Slave and Gretchen. They don't want to resolve this.

00:36:28
Speaker 2: They just they don't have any intention of saying, look, we've had this issu in the past, let's move forward, and I.

00:36:35
Speaker 3: Will say this bad move. I listen.

00:36:41
Speaker 2: What they should have done, alexis that would have been smart and iconic and would have guaranteed another season. I would have definitely made the beginning like, let's have this conversation. We could like argue whatever.

00:36:53
Speaker 6: But I would have shocked the world by by having Gretchen and camera be friends. I would have shocked the world by having all of them hang out and then being like, oh shit.

00:37:04
Speaker 3: This is this.

00:37:04
Speaker 2: This is the duol we didn't know we needed it was. It was named bad bluve of their part that they kept the beef on. We're talking about episode fourteen, and I'm over it.

00:37:17
Speaker 3: I'm over it. I'm over it.

00:37:20
Speaker 5: We got over the Katie stuff, now we're over this stuff.

00:37:22
Speaker 4: It's like it's like you do want, you want the story to move, so unfortunately it's not. It was we were hung up on the Katie thing for so overly long, and now we're hung up on this overly long.

00:37:32
Speaker 5: It's like, Okay, how many more episodes do we have?

00:37:34
Speaker 4: Because do you know, I don't know how many there are, but we've got that was fourteen.

00:37:38
Speaker 5: I know there's at least sixteen or seventeen.

00:37:40
Speaker 3: Yeah, I think of like seventeen eighteen. Yeah.

00:37:43
Speaker 2: Yeah, they're going on the trip we saw next week, and I think we have two more. They just take their reunion.

00:37:48
Speaker 3: Yesterday.

00:37:50
Speaker 2: Before I let you go, I do want to ask you this. They did release the seating chart. First chair went to Tamra. Surprised there, and the other first chair went to Gin.

00:38:07
Speaker 3: Yeah, I was. I was surprised by that.

00:38:09
Speaker 5: Why you're just the biggest fan.

00:38:11
Speaker 3: No, no, no, I loved it.

00:38:13
Speaker 2: But see, unlike look, unlike the cast, I out the Lions.

00:38:17
Speaker 3: So I can call shit out the way I see it. I was, I listen, I love Jen.

00:38:22
Speaker 2: I didn't think jin this this season last season, Jen, first chair, Yes.

00:38:28
Speaker 5: I who did you think should have had it?

00:38:31
Speaker 2: Okay, Carlos King my prediction was first chair camera obviously, honestly, you're about to gag I would have given it based on.

00:38:43
Speaker 3: Performance this season. Who kept the story?

00:38:46
Speaker 2: It would have been between Emily and Gina. If I'm basic in on story, first chair should have been either Emily or Gina, and I'm gonna gag you some more. I probably would have leaned more towards m if I'm basicing it off of just story. Emily was a was a podstar tepe shit going.

00:39:08
Speaker 3: Gina was great this season. Base on story, it'd been Emily and Gina. What about you?

00:39:15
Speaker 5: I don't agree with you at all.

00:39:17
Speaker 4: I think you know because because Gina and Emily, to me, their story was about their kids at work.

00:39:23
Speaker 5: And like that's it.

00:39:24
Speaker 4: It's like there was not or like the charities and this that I don't remember one thing a story like.

00:39:30
Speaker 5: I think it would be Jen. I mean, I was shocked.

00:39:32
Speaker 3: When I saw it.

00:39:33
Speaker 4: I'm not gonna lie, but I think it would go to Gen because I feel like Jen has enough beef with Tamera and and held her own and has you know, like it is like is like trying is like trying to become bff with Gretchen or whatever and bringing that into it. So I feel like Jen was such a catalyst and so many of the stories that it's like, you know, and she gets along with Shannon now really well when last season they weren't so close or you know.

00:39:56
Speaker 5: So I don't I don't know.

00:39:57
Speaker 4: I just feel like out of all of it, because honestly, the rest of them all kind of are in the same boat.

00:40:02
Speaker 3: Like there.

00:40:03
Speaker 5: I feel like, I feel like Shannon, we know, has.

00:40:05
Speaker 4: No storyline like zero, and then Heather is just kind of Switzerland and does her thing and wants to be in Beverly Hills. And then we've got and then we've got Gina and Emily, who I don't feel like, there was no like drama other than the family and the charities, and then there would be Katie. So I mean, honestly, Katie carried it up at the beginning of the show.

00:40:25
Speaker 5: Maybe she did a first chair you know.

00:40:28
Speaker 3: Oh, let's be clear.

00:40:30
Speaker 2: Yeah, if Katie, Oh, let's be clear, honey, if Katie was on the show for the rest of the season, Katie should for sure have been first chair, one one hundred and forty five percent for freaking sure. But I knew, based on being producer, I knew that they were going to bring Katie out towards the middle of.

00:40:53
Speaker 3: Filming the reunion, which I get although I listen.

00:40:59
Speaker 2: If I was producing it, I would have done this, Alexis, I would have started the the reunion without Katie.

00:41:09
Speaker 6: And by maybe.

00:41:12
Speaker 2: Twenty thirty minutes in I would have brought Katie out. I would have told Gina or Emily's school down. Katie sits next.

00:41:21
Speaker 3: To Andy.

00:41:23
Speaker 5: For that portion of when she was the most part.

00:41:26
Speaker 3: Of the biggest market.

00:41:27
Speaker 4: Yeah, and then eventually, you know what would have been cool about that?

00:41:30
Speaker 6: Oh?

00:41:31
Speaker 4: So did she I didn't ask him or this, But did she leave Hart way through the reunion?

00:41:35
Speaker 3: I believe. I believe.

00:41:37
Speaker 6: I believe based on her getting the last seat.

00:41:42
Speaker 2: I believe that they brought her back out towards like the middle of filming the reunion, and that she may have either either she stayed towards the end and toasted to them, or she left before the toast.

00:41:59
Speaker 5: Got it.

00:41:59
Speaker 4: And you know what would have been great about your idea about scooting everybody down and putting her there is it's never happened before, number one, so that's always you know, audience loves that, the viewers love the new thing that's never happened. And also it would have given Katie what Katie was doing, like she carried the first what ten episodes of the show, So yeah, that would have yeah, that would have been yeah, yeah, good idea of Carlos iadline at RHOC. They don't know who they're missing here. I mean, Dateline needs me, r h C needs you. We got we gotta put this in the universe.

00:42:32
Speaker 2: You know, I love you so much, Alexas Jansen, honey once again congratulates my love.

00:42:41
Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, look at my shirt. Girlfriend, no fiance, no wife.

00:42:47
Speaker 2: Yeah, happy for you.

00:42:51
Speaker 3: Give my life to John.

00:42:52
Speaker 4: You can only wear this cheesy stuff for like the first week and today it works my one week anniversary.

00:42:56
Speaker 5: By the way, everyone's questioning why we got married on a Friday. Let me clear the air car.

00:43:00
Speaker 3: Oh yeah, let's talk about that.

00:43:02
Speaker 5: Everybody is like, why they get married on a Friday.

00:43:04
Speaker 4: My friends got married on a Tuesday because they wanted the date to twenty two twenty two.

00:43:08
Speaker 3: That was back in.

00:43:09
Speaker 5: Twenty twenty two. It doesn't matter what day you get married on.

00:43:11
Speaker 4: But our resort that we wanted to be at didn't have a Saturday for two and a half years from when we back a year ago and we booked the resort, we had no choice but a Friday or a Sunday or a different date. So we chose Friday the third because the three is one of our numbers, and so we're like, Friday.

00:43:27
Speaker 5: The Third's perfect. It doesn't who cares what day.

00:43:29
Speaker 4: I don't know why it's such a big hook, Like what they think we saved money, honey bunny. Our wedding was way over six figures and more. So just no, okay, no, it was we did not save any money or need to do it for any other reason we wanted to.

00:43:43
Speaker 3: I that was so funny. I felt that getting married a Friday was a big is not a rule a day.

00:43:50
Speaker 5: I think that people think.

00:43:51
Speaker 4: I do know that certain resorts give discounts on different days, like if you do it on a Sunday because they don't have as many weddings. But when Saturday's book out for two and a half years, you get an establishment. You can guarantee you ain't saving any money on a Friday or a Sunday because then they know everyone's coming on a Friday or Sunday because all the Saturdays are booked so I mean, it's like, I don't know, but I think people just like to talk. But there you go, so everyone can now put their mind to rest and just know that we had to take a Friday people, and it worked out beautifully and or you know what we liked about it as our guests had to take off Thursday off work, but then the ones that needed to leave town and get back to work on Monday had Saturday to come to our chef brunch over here and then they could, you know, fly out on Sunday and make it to work on Monday.

00:44:31
Speaker 5: So they actually, some of them actually really liked.

00:44:32
Speaker 4: It because if you get married on a Saturday, if you get married on a Saturday, then they do the brunch.

00:44:36
Speaker 5: They have to miss work on Friday too, So.

00:44:39
Speaker 3: Yeah, I did.

00:44:40
Speaker 2: At the end of the day, there's no day when it comes to celebrating your matrimony with the person you love.

00:44:46
Speaker 3: I think I don't care if it was a Wednesday, Like, at the end of.

00:44:48
Speaker 2: The day, this is for the two of you, and if anybody wanted to be there, whether it was a Wednesday or Friday, Like, I don't think the day of the week matters. Was exactly appropriate or not, but whatever. Congratulations missus Janson.

00:45:06
Speaker 4: We will see we will see everybody next week and or what's next Next Friday?
