<v Speaker 1>This is WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre, and you're listening to <v Speaker 1>the WWE podcast. <v Speaker 2>Stop the show, the one that everybody wants me God tell. <v Speaker 3>Stand three sixteenth says your ass is mind. <v Speaker 2>You can acknowledge me. Hey, it's going on, guys. It <v Speaker 2>is the Weekend Review. A little bit, a little bit <v Speaker 2>late for the first time in a long time. Last night, <v Speaker 2>I just it's too tired prioritizing my sleep last night. <v Speaker 2>So yeah, this is a little bit late, but we're here. <v Speaker 2>It's Monday morning, the fourteenth of October, and we are <v Speaker 2>ready to roll here with the Weekend Review as the <v Speaker 2>Crown Jewel event that can't come soon enough because then <v Speaker 2>once it comes, it can go away. It's just a <v Speaker 2>couple of weeks away, the early November date, the first <v Speaker 2>Saturday in November, right before election Day, and we can <v Speaker 2>say goodbye to Crown Jewel and get back to the <v Speaker 2>events that we really care about, which is of course <v Speaker 2>Survivors Series, which it has been circled on our calendars <v Speaker 2>a lot of us for many, many months just because <v Speaker 2>of the storyline with the bloodline and what could result <v Speaker 2>there and the potential big returns, which one of them <v Speaker 2>we've already seen of the Rock and we'll see what <v Speaker 2>his role is as he kind of came and went <v Speaker 2>with no real explanation. I mean I didn't really I <v Speaker 2>guess I didn't expect him to be on SmackDown this week. <v Speaker 2>But it would have been nice for him to just <v Speaker 2>at least give us even of, you know, via satellite <v Speaker 2>or a you know, a pre taped promo of some <v Speaker 2>sort of what you thought, why you're back again, even <v Speaker 2>though why you know why you're back. It would just <v Speaker 2>be nice to have seen something. And you know, it's <v Speaker 2>not really a complaint for those tallying my complaints throughout <v Speaker 2>the show, It's not just kind of I guess it <v Speaker 2>stalls the momentum. Stifles the momentum a little bit when <v Speaker 2>you have your biggest star on the roster and he is, <v Speaker 2>whether you like it or not, come back and then <v Speaker 2>it's like another week or two before you hear from <v Speaker 2>him again or more, and you know, hell, well, what <v Speaker 2>can I say? Because guess what they did with Roman Reigns. <v Speaker 2>He returned a SummerSlam. He didn't speak for like six weeks. <v Speaker 2>Remember that I'm old enough to remember that. We didn't <v Speaker 2>get an explanation, and to be honest, I mean, this <v Speaker 2>Bloodline story is going exactly as many of us had expected. <v Speaker 2>I still would have liked a little bit of a <v Speaker 2>I guess, a chapter between Roman returning and just instantly <v Speaker 2>attacking Solo. I would have liked him to just have <v Speaker 2>some kind of conversation with Solo, maybe Solo dupes him <v Speaker 2>in and then he gets beat down, you know, something <v Speaker 2>like that, instead of just rushing to the physical part <v Speaker 2>of the program. I know that was months back now <v Speaker 2>at SummerSlam, but it felt like we missed a chapter. <v Speaker 2>He just returned and instantly started attacking, and then we <v Speaker 2>got no explanation for six weeks and we still really <v Speaker 2>haven't gotten one. I guess it's just implied that he's <v Speaker 2>angry because he tried to pretend he's the tribal chief <v Speaker 2>when he's not. I guess that's the whole thing. I <v Speaker 2>don't know that all said. I still am enjoying it. <v Speaker 2>It just felt like we skipped a few chapters to <v Speaker 2>get here. I'd like a little bit more cohesiveness that <v Speaker 2>That's just my preference. So you know, you guys do <v Speaker 2>with that what you will, and maybe some of you <v Speaker 2>don't care. But this week in WWE, of course, we <v Speaker 2>got a returning Roman Raines to smack Down kind of <v Speaker 2>a I guess by definition a rare return by Roman reigns. <v Speaker 2>And he came back and he spoke with Jimmy and <v Speaker 2>that went as expected. I mean, I didn't expect these <v Speaker 2>two to have any kind of altercation. We've been down <v Speaker 2>that road too many times there. If they ever go <v Speaker 2>that road of tension between Roman and Jimmy and in <v Speaker 2>the returning Jay, I no, if they go that road, <v Speaker 2>that's a massive mistake. There's no need to do that. <v Speaker 2>But there does need to be some reconciliation and some <v Speaker 2>explanations being you know, being presented to us as to <v Speaker 2>who and why people are doing what they're doing and <v Speaker 2>how they're coming back together. And having Roman called Jimmy <v Speaker 2>Big Jim on SmackDown was that was a new a <v Speaker 2>new deal. And Jimmy, it's amazing. I mean, he went <v Speaker 2>essentially disgraced after his match with Jay at WrestleMania. That <v Speaker 2>were all supposed to and I would recommend highly that <v Speaker 2>we all forget and you know, he was the fifth <v Speaker 2>wheel in the whole story and he comes back and <v Speaker 2>people are you know, buzzing like crazy, and it's amazing <v Speaker 2>what a little little time away he can do for <v Speaker 2>a star like Jimmy us So who desperately needed time away. <v Speaker 2>He got it. He's back after what six months. And <v Speaker 2>you heard at the beginning of SmackDown with the with <v Speaker 2>Jimmy and Roman speak. You heard the yeat chance and <v Speaker 2>Roman said no yeat and that got some booze from <v Speaker 2>the crowd. But we all know Jay's coming. We all know. <v Speaker 2>I mean, that just makes no sense because we also <v Speaker 2>at the end of SmackDown, as we saw saw Jimmy <v Speaker 2>and Roman get beat down by the Bloodline. That's exactly <v Speaker 2>how it should play out. It's how we all anticipated <v Speaker 2>it playing out. It's how I called it for many, <v Speaker 2>many months, how it's going to play out. That the <v Speaker 2>numbers game gets to them and they need help. And <v Speaker 2>even Wwe themselves on their YouTube channel labeled that segment <v Speaker 2>as Jimmy and Roman need help. So Jay's coming, Yes, eventually, <v Speaker 2>the wise man, I think he may be the maybe <v Speaker 2>the final piece. Perhaps he could be the second to <v Speaker 2>last or final piece when they all finally come together. <v Speaker 2>Because Jay Jay, I think is coming at Crown Jewel. <v Speaker 2>That to me is you know, you have Jimmy return <v Speaker 2>to help Roman at the at the last pl e <v Speaker 2>at Bad Blood. Then you have Jay returned to help <v Speaker 2>Jimmy and Roman at the next event here at Crown Jewel, <v Speaker 2>and then perhaps after that before Survivor series, you have <v Speaker 2>maybe Sammy at Survivor series being a mystery fifth person <v Speaker 2>although we all know who the hell it is, or <v Speaker 2>they just don't play stupid, and they have Sammy beast <v Speaker 2>that last puzzle piece for Solo's bloodline versus Romans blood line. <v Speaker 2>And then you have Paul Hayman come in toe maybe <v Speaker 2>he comes back. He doesn't even have to be there <v Speaker 2>for Survivor series, but it would make sense that they're <v Speaker 2>a total complete unit at Survivor series. So this all <v Speaker 2>makes sense to me. I think that this is a <v Speaker 2>storyline that is really hard to screw up. I say <v Speaker 2>that with a tepid tone here, because sometimes things that <v Speaker 2>are easy or appear easy are easily screwed up. But <v Speaker 2>I think it's something that they have, especially Triple H <v Speaker 2>at the head of creative here. I think that they <v Speaker 2>have this well underway and under control, pretty easy. It's <v Speaker 2>pretty simple where they're going, and this is an example <v Speaker 2>of something that I want to bring to those of <v Speaker 2>the tension that are often complaining about predictability. A lot <v Speaker 2>of you complain about predictability, and at times it is <v Speaker 2>predictability can be a bit boring. I mean that by definition, <v Speaker 2>sometimes predictability is boring, but that doesn't mean it's not <v Speaker 2>the right thing to do predictability. It's the right thing <v Speaker 2>to do. If it's the right thing to do, I <v Speaker 2>will take predictability over something that makes no sense, just <v Speaker 2>for shock value, that is unpredictable. But some of you <v Speaker 2>are the opposite. Some of you love unpredictability, even if <v Speaker 2>it's at the sacrifice of logic. I don't, But many <v Speaker 2>of you, I think, would agree that we're all waiting <v Speaker 2>for this, and based on the crowd reaction, even though <v Speaker 2>we saw this coming six months ago, it's enjoyable and <v Speaker 2>it's fun to watch play out. So this is a <v Speaker 2>perfect example exhibit A of predictability being a good thing. <v Speaker 2>So there you go. Also, this week in WWE, how <v Speaker 2>many championship matches did we get? My God, did I mean? <v Speaker 2>Did we get? I think nearly every championship was on <v Speaker 2>the line, except for the men's tag titles and the <v Speaker 2>the Undisputed Championship with Cody Rose as the title holder. <v Speaker 2>I'm pretty sure everybody else defended their belts. We had <v Speaker 2>a US title match, we had an Intercontinental title match, <v Speaker 2>we had a World title match. Uh yeah, and that's yes. <v Speaker 2>The women's tag titles of Jade and Bianca, that is <v Speaker 2>just my beloved tag team. <v Speaker 1>Uh. <v Speaker 2>They are as obnoxious as ever. I have nothing left <v Speaker 2>to say about it. I have beaten this into the ground. <v Speaker 2>I hope the crowd turns on them at this point, honestly, <v Speaker 2>and this is not to bury both Jade or Bianca. <v Speaker 2>It's to send a message to Creative likes. Enough is enough, <v Speaker 2>Please stop the pain. I hope the crowd does turn <v Speaker 2>on them and not ruin their careers. That's not what <v Speaker 2>I'm aiming for. I'm aiming for a message being sent <v Speaker 2>to Creative. They're all about sending messages all the time, <v Speaker 2>they tell us all the time, the messages are sent. <v Speaker 2>And here's one that we can send back. Okay, we <v Speaker 2>don't always have to receive them. We can also send them. <v Speaker 2>And here's one we should send, and that is loud <v Speaker 2>and clear. Break these two up, please please, And this <v Speaker 2>is of course my own my own issues, and you <v Speaker 2>hear the crowd reactions that aren't overwhelmingly positive for both women. <v Speaker 2>It's just mildly positive. And Jade is clearly the benefactor <v Speaker 2>of this. But even at this point she is. We <v Speaker 2>all know why she's in a tag team. This is <v Speaker 2>not for Bianca's sake. This is for Jade's sake, to <v Speaker 2>protect her weaknesses, because they can't have her in a <v Speaker 2>singles role yet. So do they just decide, Hey, let's <v Speaker 2>put her in a tag team, no matter how long <v Speaker 2>it takes, whatever the reaction is, let's just do it <v Speaker 2>because we need to bring her into the singles role. <v Speaker 2>And no matter what happens with the crowd, we don't care. <v Speaker 2>It's just this is the goal at all costs, and <v Speaker 2>seems like they're going that road. <v Speaker 1>Now. <v Speaker 2>Did I expect Jade and Bianca to lose this week? <v Speaker 3>No? <v Speaker 2>No, especially against a team many of us haven't seen. <v Speaker 1>No. <v Speaker 2>Hell no. This is just about giving them minutes, giving <v Speaker 2>them are time. And I will say this too. Many <v Speaker 2>of you have been advocating for a women's mid card belt. <v Speaker 2>I am not of that belief and I'll get into <v Speaker 2>that in a minute, But first I want to thank you. <v Speaker 2>Welcome to the ww podcast. We're here almost almost every day, <v Speaker 2>even if it's retro shows, throwback shows. We're here nearly <v Speaker 2>publishing every day, and we are going to be continuing that, <v Speaker 2>and this week we're going to be joined hopefully with <v Speaker 2>a new after dark show. Although I will say, if <v Speaker 2>you have an after dark show, here's what I'm gonna do. <v Speaker 2>I will take open calls or open shows being sent <v Speaker 2>to me for after dark, even if you haven't contacted <v Speaker 2>me before, right, even if we've never spoken before, Here's <v Speaker 2>what I'll do. If there are people out there who <v Speaker 2>are just like, oh, well, I'd love to have a <v Speaker 2>show about this, let's just send me the show. You <v Speaker 2>don't even have to introduce yourself to me. I won't <v Speaker 2>necessarily publish what you send, but what we need is <v Speaker 2>some after dark shows in the tank to be able <v Speaker 2>to go. I don't want to republish after dark shows. <v Speaker 2>I want those who are going to be hearing them <v Speaker 2>and on the NXT plus and above tier on my <v Speaker 2>Patreon to be able to get those shows because you, <v Speaker 2>well you deserve them. So let's do this. Anybody that <v Speaker 2>wants to send me an after dark show, just send it. <v Speaker 2>To me, Okay, I'll listen to them, and if I <v Speaker 2>feel like they're you know, good, good enough to be <v Speaker 2>able to put on our feed, then I will, all right. <v Speaker 2>And what's after Dark? If you ask, well, it's an <v Speaker 2>after it's an adult only version of the show. Doesn't <v Speaker 2>have to be about wrestling. But it also doesn't have <v Speaker 2>to be grotesque or profane just because you can be. <v Speaker 2>So the only thing I ask is it's not ridiculous, right, Like, <v Speaker 2>let's not go overboard with racial political stuff. That's saved <v Speaker 2>for another podcast I do, okay, which is called the <v Speaker 2>War on Truth. If you want to check that out, <v Speaker 2>by the way, that's that's what I'd say. Stay away <v Speaker 2>from that stuff, and don't cuss just to cuss. If <v Speaker 2>you want to cuss, go ahead because it's on a <v Speaker 2>feed that's closed and locked behind a paywall of Patreon. <v Speaker 2>But don't just cuss because you can, which means like <v Speaker 2>every third word is the F word. You know that <v Speaker 2>that that becomes more of a distraction than anything. And <v Speaker 2>the only other thing I ask is that we keep <v Speaker 2>it at a quality zone, meaning you have a external <v Speaker 2>mic of some sort. It doesn't need to be a <v Speaker 2>five hundred dollars sure microphone or you know a yetie microphone, <v Speaker 2>even those are about one hundred bucks. Doesn't need to <v Speaker 2>be those. I've heard quality audio from very inexpensive external mics. Okay, <v Speaker 2>so it can't be a laptop. Sounds like you're in <v Speaker 2>a warehouse or in you know, a in an aluminum basement. <v Speaker 2>You know what I'm talking about, terrible audio quality. We <v Speaker 2>can't have that. So here's the requirements. Again, send the <v Speaker 2>show to me if just want to send it to me. <v Speaker 2>It can be fifteen twenty minutes or longer. It can <v Speaker 2>be about anything. Doesn't have to be out wrestling. It <v Speaker 2>can be about aliens, bigfoot life experiences. It can be <v Speaker 2>about science, it can be about true crime. I mean, <v Speaker 2>take your pick. Don't be profane just because you can be. <v Speaker 2>If you throw in some F bombs, then that's fine, <v Speaker 2>but don't do it just because you can. And no racial, political, <v Speaker 2>cultural stuff. That's again saved for the show that I do. <v Speaker 2>And I don't think people tuning into this are tuning <v Speaker 2>into it for that. So if you want to send <v Speaker 2>it to me, please you can send it to me <v Speaker 2>mailbag at WWE podcast dot com. All right, so back <v Speaker 2>to the women's mid card belt stuff. So I know <v Speaker 2>a lot of you, a lot of you are advocating <v Speaker 2>for that, and that's what many of you thought the <v Speaker 2>other week when Triple H unveiled the beloved Crown Jewel <v Speaker 2>Championship that's going to be defended once a year and <v Speaker 2>we're told it's the beginning of a new era, which <v Speaker 2>is the most hilarious statement I've heard from Triple H <v Speaker 2>since he took over. That many of you thought that <v Speaker 2>the mid card belt was going to be introduced there, <v Speaker 2>and I thought for a moment too, but it wasn't. <v Speaker 2>And here's why I'd say they should not do that <v Speaker 2>right now. I continue to say they should not do <v Speaker 2>a mid car women's championship right now. And you're asking, well, <v Speaker 2>why the men have won the women have done it. No, <v Speaker 2>it's not about a quality here, all right, many of <v Speaker 2>you who are screaming, all the men should everything the <v Speaker 2>men have, the women should have? How about this? How <v Speaker 2>about everything that the men have the women should have? <v Speaker 2>When it makes sense when WWE continues to show us consistently, <v Speaker 2>I can't stress that word enough that they value the <v Speaker 2>women's championships and that they make them a priority consistently. Okay, <v Speaker 2>how can we say that with the Women's Tag Team Championship. <v Speaker 2>They have made that a priority. At times, they've even <v Speaker 2>taken then known as the SmackDown Women's Championship now knows <v Speaker 2>the ww Women's Championship. There have been many times that <v Speaker 2>that has disappeared for months on end, and you forget <v Speaker 2>who it is a La Eo Sky's run as champion again, <v Speaker 2>she was then known as the SmackDown Women's Champion. They <v Speaker 2>have taken her at times, taken that championship at times <v Speaker 2>and made it disappear. They've become magicians in abercadabra, it <v Speaker 2>doesn't exist. They've done that. So when they're doing that <v Speaker 2>to a top championship, and they do that the Women's <v Speaker 2>Champion Tag Team Championships, then what the hell are we doing? <v Speaker 2>And at even even with Rhea Ripley winning at last <v Speaker 2>year's WrestleMania WrestleMania thirty nine, when she won it, you <v Speaker 2>had her not defended or even be talked about that <v Speaker 2>She's the Women's Champion for a good five to six <v Speaker 2>months until Zelena Vega popped up and was one of <v Speaker 2>her challengers when they went to Puerto Rico for one <v Speaker 2>of their who was a backlash. I think it was <v Speaker 2>backlash and you know the crowd was going wild for <v Speaker 2>was Zelena Vega. And after that though, like you forgot <v Speaker 2>that Rio was even champion because she was so involved <v Speaker 2>in the judgment day business. All of that to say, <v Speaker 2>there have been many examples of WWE throughout the years, <v Speaker 2>especially with the Women's Tag Team Championship, that they have <v Speaker 2>given it little to no time. It disappears for extended <v Speaker 2>periods of time. They never seem to make it a <v Speaker 2>top priority. And I'm not saying it needs to always <v Speaker 2>be the main event of Raw like suddenly they just <v Speaker 2>flip no, but they need to show you that they <v Speaker 2>can manage the current championships that they do have before <v Speaker 2>introducing new ones, and they have not shown that to me. So, yes, <v Speaker 2>Nia Jacks, I think is a better champion then Bailey <v Speaker 2>has been. Not that she's a better wrestler, but that <v Speaker 2>it is just her character seems to be more of <v Speaker 2>a priority. Her in ring has improved immensely, Her character <v Speaker 2>has improved immensely from whence she returned to WW at <v Speaker 2>the Rumble last year. All of it has been much <v Speaker 2>better than Bailey's run but yes, Rhea Ripley has was <v Speaker 2>Women's championship to forfeit it because of her injury. Live <v Speaker 2>Morgan has done wonder with that, her career has skyrocket <v Speaker 2>at all. That and that's true. But the consistency here <v Speaker 2>is the factor here. It's the biggest thing. And they <v Speaker 2>go from, oh, yeah, we had the women's tanking titles, <v Speaker 2>let's defend them, and then they disappear. It happens time <v Speaker 2>after time, literally year after year. So before we start <v Speaker 2>talking about bringing a women's title into the mix, that <v Speaker 2>will be a mid card belt, let's manage the championships <v Speaker 2>we have now to the maximum that they can be <v Speaker 2>because also not only that, not only will the mid <v Speaker 2>card belt be mismanaged, but that would mean, given the <v Speaker 2>time that the women are given in total every week, <v Speaker 2>that every feud going on in the women's division will <v Speaker 2>be about some championship all the time. How do I <v Speaker 2>know that because that's almost the case right now, given <v Speaker 2>the time that men are given versus women, the women's <v Speaker 2>division is always almost always about the women's the women's <v Speaker 2>tag team titles at times, or the women's world title, <v Speaker 2>or the women's title. So that would mean if they <v Speaker 2>introduce a US or Intercontinental equivalent for the women, that <v Speaker 2>every single championship, every single match, every single program will <v Speaker 2>be about about a belt. And that shouldn't be the <v Speaker 2>case because oftentimes programs are not about championships and shouldn't be. <v Speaker 2>There are times when a belt is introduced that it <v Speaker 2>actually detracts from what's going on in the program because <v Speaker 2>you want it to be about a personal score to <v Speaker 2>be settled, a blood feud. Look at Drew and Punk, <v Speaker 2>look at Roman and Rock. Eventually a Roman and Solo. <v Speaker 2>That's not about a championship. Yeah, these are top top <v Speaker 2>programs going on right now, or with Punk and Drew <v Speaker 2>it was, and with Seth and Punk that will not <v Speaker 2>be about a championship when we get to that, probably <v Speaker 2>at WrestleMania forty one. So so many programs are not <v Speaker 2>about championships with the men, and it's very and it <v Speaker 2>changes things up. And yes, the structure of WWE and <v Speaker 2>pro wrestling in general is about championships because you're supposed <v Speaker 2>to believe that the guys and gals there are there <v Speaker 2>to compete for those belts, but they can get sidetracked <v Speaker 2>with blood feuds, personal scores, just the things that have <v Speaker 2>nothing to do with the championships. And if they introduce <v Speaker 2>a mid card belt, now, with the little time that <v Speaker 2>the women do get comparatively to the men, you're gonna <v Speaker 2>have everything about championships, and that women's title you can <v Speaker 2>guarantee well nearly to be competed or defended on a <v Speaker 2>weekly basis. They're going to make a whatever the US <v Speaker 2>Championship equivalent for the women is defended weekly. All right, <v Speaker 2>So I don't want that right now. I hope that <v Speaker 2>makes sense to you, guys, And that's the argument against it. <v Speaker 2>The only argument for it is that many of you <v Speaker 2>are like, well, that'd be that makes sense because the <v Speaker 2>men have one, why can't the women. That's it. That's <v Speaker 2>the whole argument is the men have it, so the <v Speaker 2>women should. That's the whole argument. Because some of you <v Speaker 2>may say, well, they give something for so and so <v Speaker 2>to do or so and so to compete for. Again, <v Speaker 2>I will turn you to deep storylines programs, and I <v Speaker 2>think having a women's championship mid card belt introduced is <v Speaker 2>a crutch. It's a it's a it's an out for <v Speaker 2>having to actually create good storylines that people care about, <v Speaker 2>because with a championship, it deodorizes a little bit of <v Speaker 2>the bad creative because you're like, oh, well, okay, the <v Speaker 2>belt's on the line. I don't really know what the <v Speaker 2>hell's going on here or or understand the program that well, <v Speaker 2>or it's kind of cold, but okay, the belts on <v Speaker 2>the line. So it deodorizes a little bit of the <v Speaker 2>I guess lack of storyline development. So I could see <v Speaker 2>why WWE would, but as fans, I hope you kind <v Speaker 2>of come to your senses here instead of just oh, well, <v Speaker 2>the men have it, so the women should. It's like, <v Speaker 2>that's a that's a bad argument. It's a bad argument. <v Speaker 2>All right, Well, I want on a rant too much <v Speaker 2>about that. Let's move on. That did happen this week? <v Speaker 2>And that is the US time of match La Knight <v Speaker 2>versus Carmelo Hayes. And this match was nine minutes, a <v Speaker 2>little bit short from my liking, but nonetheless still a <v Speaker 2>good still a good match, a good exposure for Carmelo Hayes, <v Speaker 2>which I still don't know what he is. I guess <v Speaker 2>he's a heel. They flip flopped many many times, kind <v Speaker 2>of just putting him in whatever role they need him <v Speaker 2>to be at that moment. But you know that he's <v Speaker 2>going to be good in the ring, and he always <v Speaker 2>seems to deliver that. My god. Though the finish here <v Speaker 2>of La Knight winning isn't the surprise. We all knew <v Speaker 2>Ella Knight's gonna win. But that bft that Carmelo Hayes took. <v Speaker 2>I thought that Carmala Camalo Hayes died on the spot. <v Speaker 2>I mean, I'd love to see that in slow mode, <v Speaker 2>to see how he covered himself. I would imagine that <v Speaker 2>he didn't put all of that load on his actual <v Speaker 2>head and neck. But oh my god, and you see <v Speaker 2>those spikes from time to time. Aj Styles has done <v Speaker 2>it many times and you see him and you're like, <v Speaker 2>am you know, like you are. Even if they do <v Speaker 2>it safely, right, they still are putting an unnecessarily amount <v Speaker 2>of risk on themselves, even though it does look awesome <v Speaker 2>and it does bring the crowd to, oh my god, <v Speaker 2>is that person dead? Is the X going up? Are <v Speaker 2>they pulling the stretcher out? Did they break their neck? <v Speaker 2>It does have that reaction, and nine times out of <v Speaker 2>ten it's done safely and the way it should be done, <v Speaker 2>But there is that moment you're just like, oh my god, <v Speaker 2>and it does increase the risk and significantly to sell <v Speaker 2>it like that if they're trying to sell it like that. <v Speaker 2>So when Carmelo Hayes did that, I'm like, whoa. You know, <v Speaker 2>I don't think anybody sold the BFT that way. It's <v Speaker 2>supposed to be sold more like just kind of a <v Speaker 2>face plant instead of like a DDT. But very very <v Speaker 2>well done by Carmelo Hayes there, La Knight and the <v Speaker 2>Alec Carmrla Hayes really fun finished. They rehearsed that pretty <v Speaker 2>well and it wasn't the smoothest finish there will like <v Speaker 2>slight slight botches, but La Night getting the victory made <v Speaker 2>total sense. Andrede ringside did distractays a little bit. And <v Speaker 2>you know, Andrede seems to be in the mix here. <v Speaker 2>La Knight at the upper mid card is still getting <v Speaker 2>big reactions. You do wonder if they're eventually going to <v Speaker 2>put him back, you know, into the the not just <v Speaker 2>the world title mix, but the undisputed title. I mean, <v Speaker 2>this is why, this is, this is why I have <v Speaker 2>been a big advocate and was a big advocate many <v Speaker 2>of you were too of putting l A. Knight on <v Speaker 2>raw during the the shakeup during the draft because he <v Speaker 2>was already on SmackDown. You're like, all right, perfect place <v Speaker 2>for Raw. He can go compete for the world title. <v Speaker 2>Even if he doesn't win, he's in the mix. And <v Speaker 2>they didn't and they made him US champion, which is fine, <v Speaker 2>and it feels like he's a year behind though what <v Speaker 2>many of us wanted him to be. You know, before <v Speaker 2>this whole thing, or when it started, the whole La <v Speaker 2>Knight movement, we were you know, he got into the <v Speaker 2>ring with Roman Reigns when he was still the champion, <v Speaker 2>and you're thinking, well, maybe but probably not. And he <v Speaker 2>doesn't win, and you're like, all right, make him US champion. <v Speaker 2>And it took forever in a day to get there. <v Speaker 2>Even La Knight said, this feels like way long overdue, <v Speaker 2>and it does. It feels like they're a year behind <v Speaker 2>the or what the fans have wanted. And now he <v Speaker 2>is US Champion, But I still believe that he should <v Speaker 2>be competing for the world title over on Raw because <v Speaker 2>you're not gonna have Alla Knight versus Cody Rhoads. It <v Speaker 2>introduces a whole host of problems because they're both baby faces. <v Speaker 2>You don't want Cody to be turned on yet. And <v Speaker 2>also he just became champions So even if there was <v Speaker 2>a case for La Knight to win or for him <v Speaker 2>to compete for the championship, you're not gonna have him <v Speaker 2>win because Cody just won it in April. Just it's <v Speaker 2>a mess, so he would fit much better over on Raw. <v Speaker 2>That said, Gunther's also seemingly just won the belt a <v Speaker 2>couple of months ago. He's not ready to drop it, <v Speaker 2>not anywhere near it. So you have champions both in <v Speaker 2>La I'm sorry, both in Cody Roads and Gunther that <v Speaker 2>are well established champions that you don't see any reason <v Speaker 2>why they should drop the belt. Even within the next <v Speaker 2>three to four months up until WrestleMania, I could see <v Speaker 2>both men still holding the belt. I think here's an argument, <v Speaker 2>or here's a conversation you could have or one that <v Speaker 2>I tossed to you guys to maybe email me with <v Speaker 2>on your mail bag. Who drops the belt first? Cody <v Speaker 2>or Gunther? I would argue it could be Cody because <v Speaker 2>if the Rock is not competing at WrestleMania forty one, <v Speaker 2>pretending he's not again, we went through that whole Rigamar <v Speaker 2>role last week. If he's not, then you could have <v Speaker 2>Cody versus The Rock, and the Rock could potentially win <v Speaker 2>the belt and if he doesn't compete at WrestleMania, that <v Speaker 2>would be a bit of a shame. But I guess <v Speaker 2>I don't know, Maybe I'm talking myself out of it, <v Speaker 2>because if the Rock wins, then why would he go <v Speaker 2>away and not compete for defend the belt at WrestleMania. <v Speaker 2>That would make no sense. So well, that was embarrassing. <v Speaker 2>I was gonna. I was trying to make the case <v Speaker 2>that the Rock could beat Cody and then Cody competes <v Speaker 2>with Randy Orton in and WrestleMania. But I don't know. <v Speaker 2>Lots of ways to go here as we get through, <v Speaker 2>but there is a case that we made that Cody <v Speaker 2>drops it before Gunther. I don't want to go through <v Speaker 2>to drop it for like another year. I mean, I <v Speaker 2>don't even know if I ever do I have? You <v Speaker 2>never want gun through to drop the belt? I mean, <v Speaker 2>like ever, I don't know. I don't see a reason <v Speaker 2>a need. Gunther continues to show how good he is <v Speaker 2>on the microphone, his new look of the suits. It's sharp, <v Speaker 2>sharp looking guy. He doesn't have any heel backup like <v Speaker 2>it doesn't have any Yeah, he has Ludwig Kaiser, but <v Speaker 2>he come and go. He's coming and going. He's not <v Speaker 2>really a mainstay in his matches. Ludwig is kind of <v Speaker 2>on his own a little bit. The Giovanni Vinci has <v Speaker 2>gone into oblivion, so guntherer doesn't need anyone, but he <v Speaker 2>is continuing to thrive without help. So moving on, Okay, <v Speaker 2>we let's see had something about here. Oh, because I <v Speaker 2>don't want to miss anything. I'm reading a description because <v Speaker 2>I don't want to miss anything here that was big <v Speaker 2>that happened. We had Jimmy Uso walking backstage. He was <v Speaker 2>encountered by Cody Rhodes, who thanked him and Jimmy told <v Speaker 2>him to consider it a favor but not expect more. <v Speaker 2>Cody warned Jimmy that Solo isn't the same guy. When <v Speaker 2>Jimmy left, Jimmy said it's family business, and Jimmy said <v Speaker 2>it looks like Cody is handling things on his own <v Speaker 2>and said respect before walking away. So right, that this <v Speaker 2>should be the case. It's essentially just telling the crowd. <v Speaker 2>Look that we're not going back to bloodline versus Cody, <v Speaker 2>like Jimmy and Roman are not going to attack Cody rhads. <v Speaker 2>There's no reason to do that. It would it would <v Speaker 2>be insane. So we're not doing that. It's kind of <v Speaker 2>mutual respect. We're not friends, but mutual respect. You have <v Speaker 2>your business, I'm taking care of my business. We're going <v Speaker 2>our separate ways. This is essentially what this is saying, <v Speaker 2>and it should so all right we have Then Lash <v Speaker 2>Legend and jack lerwic Jackson come out, and they were <v Speaker 2>interrupted by Kevin Owens, who rolled inside the ring in <v Speaker 2>a Dusty Roads shirt and said he was not he <v Speaker 2>was told not to come to smack down. He said <v Speaker 2>that was crap and he couldn't let that happen. He said, <v Speaker 2>people are asking why he turned on Cody, and the <v Speaker 2>producers came out and Cole explained the fan footage angle <v Speaker 2>from Bad Blood. Owens rolled to ringside and put on <v Speaker 2>a headset, and Owen said Rhodes actually turned on him. <v Speaker 2>Cody came out and was held by Randy Orton, and <v Speaker 2>Orton out came out, pushed Owens, Orton grabbed him. Owen's <v Speaker 2>elbowed Orton. Orton then punched Owens in the face and <v Speaker 2>told everyone calm down. So tension between Orton and Owens <v Speaker 2>boils over here and boiled over even more later in <v Speaker 2>the show. So then we get though Bianca and Jade <v Speaker 2>versus Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson for the women's tag titles. <v Speaker 2>First of all, beyond the preposterousness of this being two minutes, again, <v Speaker 2>the disrespect of the championships, and no better way to <v Speaker 2>have the crowd turn on the on these two than <v Speaker 2>have two minute matches over and over and over, really <v Speaker 2>just supporting and accentuating Jade Cargill's limitations, or at least <v Speaker 2>perceived limitations by fans. No better way to do that <v Speaker 2>than have two minute matches. We have two women who <v Speaker 2>how the hell did they earn this opportunity? I guess <v Speaker 2>just by being breathing human beings. By being female and breathing, <v Speaker 2>I guess is the qualification. Now you have to just <v Speaker 2>be standing in some kind of within a certain radius <v Speaker 2>of one another. You have to be alive, and you <v Speaker 2>have to be just backstage, and you know CREATI will <v Speaker 2>come up and say, Hey, oh my god, we got <v Speaker 2>new we got new tag title contenders. You guys are <v Speaker 2>the number one contenders essentially. I guess that's how they're <v Speaker 2>choosing now. I guess that's how they're they're anointing who <v Speaker 2>is the who have the challenger for the women's tag <v Speaker 2>titles used to be alive and female. That's it, so <v Speaker 2>pretty high bar here. But they did attack from behind. <v Speaker 2>They attacked Jadeen and Bianca from behind, and then Legend <v Speaker 2>bumped Bellair at a ringside Jackson dropped off the apron <v Speaker 2>held bel Air. Legend followed and ended up booting Green <v Speaker 2>over the over the broadcast table. Belair kicked Legend and <v Speaker 2>then elbowed Jackson. Belair turned returned to the ring and <v Speaker 2>tagged out. Cargill hit Jackson with a big boot and <v Speaker 2>then super kicked Legend off the apron, and then they <v Speaker 2>hit their finish for the victory. And uh, yeah, that's <v Speaker 2>that's that's kind of it. I guess that's that's it. Now. <v Speaker 2>The idea that Green continues to smell like a dumpster, <v Speaker 2>I guess you know the the I I don't. I'm <v Speaker 2>not a fan of it. Most of what Chelsea Green <v Speaker 2>has done on air has been entertaining. This is because <v Speaker 2>you got put in a dumpster several weeks ago. We're <v Speaker 2>all supposed to just pretend she still smells like a dumpster. No, <v Speaker 2>I mean if they're even if the talent are doing <v Speaker 2>that to mock her, It's not funny. You know, we <v Speaker 2>all know obviously she doesn't. Even if the talent and <v Speaker 2>storyline know she doesn't and they're trying to be funny, <v Speaker 2>It's not funny. Like, no matter how you interpret this angle, <v Speaker 2>it's not funny. They should drop it because it's it's <v Speaker 2>it's sophomoric at best. Okay. We then have Jacks in <v Speaker 2>the ring with Stratton and gave credit she gave. Jacks <v Speaker 2>gave credit to Bailey for being a trustworthy contender and <v Speaker 2>adding that she even worked up a sweat during the match, <v Speaker 2>and Jack said no one had SmackDown the locker room <v Speaker 2>has beaten her, and nor can her raw counterpart, live Morgan. <v Speaker 2>Jack said she will annihilate Morgan at Crown Jewel because <v Speaker 2>they're two champions, so they're facing one another. Jack said <v Speaker 2>she will become the first Crown Jewel champion. That's that's that. <v Speaker 2>I don't say that, please, Jack said, grabs Stratton in <v Speaker 2>a headlock and said then it will be tiffy time. <v Speaker 2>Jacks released Stratton and said that's when you cash in <v Speaker 2>and live Morgan. So she's demanding when Live should cash in. <v Speaker 2>Diomi made her entrance and spoke from riggside and said <v Speaker 2>the only reason Jack's had the title was that she <v Speaker 2>was quote a little broke down barbie. Naomi said Stratton <v Speaker 2>wasn't even a good sidekick, and Naomi said she pinned <v Speaker 2>Stratton just as she pinned Jacks. And Raquel Rodriguez came <v Speaker 2>out and she was followed by Women's World Champion Live <v Speaker 2>Morgan in dominic pasterio. Morgan said they came all the <v Speaker 2>way to SmackDown to make an example of Jackson, said <v Speaker 2>she and her crew would watch Jacks lose just as <v Speaker 2>Jacks would lose a crown jewel. So we got a <v Speaker 2>match here with Nia Jax versus Naomi in a non <v Speaker 2>title match, and the match lasted nine and a half minutes, <v Speaker 2>and we had Naomi beat Nya Jax. But here's the finish. <v Speaker 2>Stratton wound up to hit Naomi with the money in <v Speaker 2>the bank briefcase, but Raquel Rodriguez took it way and <v Speaker 2>Naomi then put Jacks, put Naomi down and set up <v Speaker 2>for her finish, but Rodriguez distracted the ref while Morgan <v Speaker 2>hit Jacks with the money in the bank briefcase and <v Speaker 2>Naomi slipped under Jack's power, bombed her and pinned her. <v Speaker 2>So that was kind of an interesting finish here, with <v Speaker 2>Jack's taking the pin by Naomi making her trying to <v Speaker 2>make her I guess at a future women's world title contender. <v Speaker 2>I guess is or women's title contender, but we all <v Speaker 2>know Naomi sorry, probably has no chance unless Naomi turns heel. <v Speaker 2>Naomi should turn heel, just because she needs a shot <v Speaker 2>in the arm in the worst way. It's just the <v Speaker 2>same old Naomi, and that's not necessarily a bad thing, <v Speaker 2>but it's a just stale at this point. I want <v Speaker 2>to see what a hel Naomi looks like. So all right, ayway, <v Speaker 2>all right. Rio views of Ria Ripley's music entrance played, <v Speaker 2>and that's where Morgan, Dom and Rodriguez were standing on <v Speaker 2>the stage. Rea Ripley ran out, roughed up Rodriegus, and <v Speaker 2>then Ripley glared at Morgan and Dom, and Morgan and <v Speaker 2>Dom rolled inside the ring. Jax grabbed Morgan, Ripley entered <v Speaker 2>the ring and cleared Jacks with a big boot. Ripley <v Speaker 2>threw punches at Morgan until Dom distracted her and Rodriguez <v Speaker 2>pulled Morgan to the floor, So what the hell? I <v Speaker 2>have no problem with liv being there because while I <v Speaker 2>am a big nerd when it comes to adhering to <v Speaker 2>brand rules and the split, you guys know that it <v Speaker 2>makes sense that they're both allowed to be on each <v Speaker 2>other's shows simply because they need to build to the <v Speaker 2>event at Crown Jewel, because they're just supposed to face <v Speaker 2>each other, which I still find stupid. Man, They're trying <v Speaker 2>to make Crown Jewel as big as possible because the <v Speaker 2>money from Saudi Arabia says so. But it just it <v Speaker 2>really hurts a lot of what's going on. It stifles <v Speaker 2>the momentum what's going on on each brand that suddenly <v Speaker 2>we're supposed to have a co branded event, We're supposed <v Speaker 2>to have the champion face each other. It stops all <v Speaker 2>the momentum going on with all the storylines on each <v Speaker 2>show and says, oh wait, no, stop, everybody stop, we <v Speaker 2>gotta have the champions face each other. So that means <v Speaker 2>everything going on on each show individually stops. It's the worst. <v Speaker 2>I hate Crown Jewel on so many levels. Okay, but <v Speaker 2>the fact that Live is there again fine, even Dom <v Speaker 2>While I don't agree with it because he's not a <v Speaker 2>part of the show. He is in tow he's part <v Speaker 2>of Liv's personality. Fine, but what the hell's will live <v Speaker 2>a Ria Ripley doing there? She has nothing to do <v Speaker 2>with the event at Crown Jewel. I I'm done with. <v Speaker 2>I mean, I don't know. I sure Leria Ripley's a <v Speaker 2>big star. Got the crowd booming. She was unexpected to <v Speaker 2>be there. But why why is Riha there? Okay? She said, <v Speaker 2>to chase dom and live. She could do that on raw. Okay, <v Speaker 2>before I go into oblivion, let's move on and again <v Speaker 2>the announcers don't even care. There's no security. Announcers don't care, <v Speaker 2>no one, No one gives a damn All right, So <v Speaker 2>Carmelo Hayes then complained to all This about Andrad's involvement <v Speaker 2>in his title match. All this point outed that Hayes <v Speaker 2>and Androtte were tied three to three in their matches <v Speaker 2>and booked them in a game seven. All this said <v Speaker 2>the winner of the match maybe in line for US <v Speaker 2>title shot. All this told Hayes not to miss so fine. <v Speaker 2>I mean, Androde and Carmelo Hayes, they work very well together. <v Speaker 2>I have no issue with these two going into a <v Speaker 2>quote Game seven again, trying to really pin it on <v Speaker 2>the current or really, I guess draw from the current <v Speaker 2>baseball playoffs, and they're you know, because we're getting into <v Speaker 2>the NLCS and ALCS games now and there could be <v Speaker 2>theoretically a game seven. It's so fine. Maybe it's just <v Speaker 2>coincidental timing, but if it's not, I don't care, all right, <v Speaker 2>And I'm fine with watching these two wrestle again. I <v Speaker 2>don't think anyone's gonna complain, all right. So we then <v Speaker 2>had Solo Soicla shown holding a Nu lafala and Soloica <v Speaker 2>said that Jimmy was looking for an advantage, but he <v Speaker 2>wouldn't get it. So CoA said Jimmy might be big brother, <v Speaker 2>but he's the travel chief and Jimmy will acknowledge him. <v Speaker 2>And there was then a video package showing the letters <v Speaker 2>MCMG and concluded with a quote next week graphic. So <v Speaker 2>I don't know what that is MCMG machine gun can No, <v Speaker 2>I don't know. I don't know. I don't know what <v Speaker 2>this is. Maybe you guys can crack the code, all right. <v Speaker 2>So we then have Randy Orton backstage attacking Randy Orton. <v Speaker 2>I'm sorry, Kevin Owens backstage attacking Randy Orton. All this <v Speaker 2>was calling for security and asked what Owens was doing. <v Speaker 2>So he has gone full heel. I mean, Randy Orton <v Speaker 2>and Kevin Owens looks to be a thing. I have <v Speaker 2>actually no issue with Randy Orton and Kevin Owens facing <v Speaker 2>one another. I had said for weeks and weeks and <v Speaker 2>weeks that Kevin, Randy, and Cody cannot co exist for <v Speaker 2>too much longer. They were there to thwart the bloodline <v Speaker 2>before Romans returned. Now that Romans is back, Roman Reigins <v Speaker 2>is back, you can't have four massive baby faces. It's <v Speaker 2>an imbalance with only Solo and Jacob Vatu on the <v Speaker 2>other side. Yes, you have the other two that are <v Speaker 2>essentially Jane j Security equivalents of Tomatana and Tongoloa. But <v Speaker 2>you need bigger names to turn and Kevin Owens is fine. <v Speaker 2>I don't have a massive issue with him turning heels. <v Speaker 2>It fits his character and historic turns well. They needed <v Speaker 2>somebody to turn and it could not be Cody and <v Speaker 2>Randy Orton is not ready to turn heeled just yet, <v Speaker 2>but we all know that that's coming. With Randy Orton <v Speaker 2>turning on Cody that we're all waiting for. I mean, <v Speaker 2>that's a just a hell of a storyline waiting waiting <v Speaker 2>in the wings. So sure, Randy's the next one to turn. <v Speaker 2>But now he has a program a little bit of <v Speaker 2>a detour here with Kevin Owens. So Kevin Owens and <v Speaker 2>Randy Orton, Fine, it's fine, it's fine. I don't have <v Speaker 2>any ill will towards Kevin though its I don't really <v Speaker 2>like hate his character. I find his character entertaining. He's <v Speaker 2>been a decent to very good babyface. Randy Orton we <v Speaker 2>all know, has the same capability to turn on a dime, <v Speaker 2>so I don't really trust his character either. And that <v Speaker 2>whole arkaot to Cody Rroads is coming very soon. So fine, <v Speaker 2>you want to have these two duke it out on <v Speaker 2>a pl e cool, I actually have no I'm not <v Speaker 2>being patronizing. I have no issue with it. They'll have <v Speaker 2>a very good match. The promos will be fine, everything <v Speaker 2>will be here's the word for this program. Fine, He'll <v Speaker 2>all be fine. Like that's it. That's not good or <v Speaker 2>that's not outstanding, that's not bad, it's just fine. It's <v Speaker 2>like a B program because people know that this isn't <v Speaker 2>really going to result in much. It's just something that <v Speaker 2>we needed to do for for something, for someone for <v Speaker 2>Randy to work with, without turning on Cody just yet. <v Speaker 2>So it's all. It's all fine. And putting Kevin Owens <v Speaker 2>back in the heel roll does open up more opportunities <v Speaker 2>for him. So fine. I hate to overuse the word, <v Speaker 2>but that's how I feel about it. It's just fine, okay. <v Speaker 2>So Jimmy versus Solo Socoa then took place and we <v Speaker 2>uh that was the main event, I believe, and we <v Speaker 2>had a decent match, you know, to again, very good match. <v Speaker 2>We had the finish of this with Solo beating Jimmy <v Speaker 2>in fourteen minutes exactly if you're counting at home, and <v Speaker 2>the finish was Soka tried to take advantage of the distractions. <v Speaker 2>Jimmy hit him with a Simone drop for another near fall. <v Speaker 2>Jimmy went up top Toma Tonga distracted the referee, Jacob <v Speaker 2>Fattu tripped up Jimmy, and Sokoa hit Jimmy with a <v Speaker 2>Simoan strike Simoan spike and pinned him. After the match, though, <v Speaker 2>Tongaloa Toga and Loa attacked Jimmy, while Fatu stood with Socoa. <v Speaker 2>Roman reigns music entrance music hit, which, by the way, <v Speaker 2>can we please go back to his previous His current <v Speaker 2>one is it's okay, but it doesn't. As a emailer <v Speaker 2>or a listener who email us a couple weeks ago, said, <v Speaker 2>it doesn't lead to anything. It's it's like a it's <v Speaker 2>a build that doesn't lead to anything. It's like where's <v Speaker 2>the big drop. If you guys are in a techno <v Speaker 2>or electronic dance, there's always that like there's the drop. <v Speaker 2>There's no drop here. It's just like an an introduction <v Speaker 2>that of an entrance music that keeps just looping itself. <v Speaker 2>There's no like definitive boom here. It is. Whereas his <v Speaker 2>previous music was perfect. I had no need to change it. <v Speaker 2>I know he turned baby face, but his music would <v Speaker 2>have been cheer regardless this, this additional change to his <v Speaker 2>music doesn't get him over any further. It just makes <v Speaker 2>me wish for the previous entrance music. It makes me go, <v Speaker 2>why did they change this again? Don't I don't get it, <v Speaker 2>I don't hate it. I just go there's no need <v Speaker 2>for it. The previous music worked just fine. And he <v Speaker 2>was getting cheered with that music anyway, all right, anyway, <v Speaker 2>the whole story here was Roman Reigns cleared the ring, <v Speaker 2>but he couldn't you know that the numbers game got <v Speaker 2>to him. He couldn't overcome the numbers game. He eventually <v Speaker 2>got Samoan spiked. It continued the narrative of they need help. <v Speaker 2>That was Jimmy's plea a Roman, we need help, we <v Speaker 2>need help, and yes, that leads to Yeat, It leads <v Speaker 2>to Jay, it leads to Roman reconsidering his no yeat <v Speaker 2>comments earlier in the night. That's what they're going for. <v Speaker 2>That's what they're going for, and it'll we'll get there. <v Speaker 2>They'll get there. So of solid effective SmackDown championship, a <v Speaker 2>couple of championship matches, and a continued build towards Crown <v Speaker 2>Jewel that I think will call him it into a <v Speaker 2>You know what, if it wasn't named Crown Jewel, I <v Speaker 2>probably wouldn't hate it as much. I think the Crown <v Speaker 2>Jewel brand has been stained so much that if we <v Speaker 2>called it something else, even if they called it like <v Speaker 2>great Balls of Fire, I probably wouldn't hate it as much. <v Speaker 2>But there's just so much political crap in the background, <v Speaker 2>and you guys can do your own research. I won't <v Speaker 2>talk about politics on the show, but go do your <v Speaker 2>own research on the Saudi government. And when they use <v Speaker 2>WWE as a propaganda arm during their events to talk <v Speaker 2>about how beautiful the city is and how far they've <v Speaker 2>come with women's rights, just go do your own research, right, <v Speaker 2>That's all I say about it. Do your own research <v Speaker 2>and you'll go, oh my god, yeah, this is something's <v Speaker 2>not right about this. And when they still have women, <v Speaker 2>they talk about women's rights and how far they've come, <v Speaker 2>yet they still make women wear essentially potato sacks when <v Speaker 2>they compete on the show. They get almost no reaction <v Speaker 2>when they're out there. I mean, remember when Kyrie saying <v Speaker 2>she debut re debuted last Crown jewel if you recall, <v Speaker 2>I think it was Crown Jewel. The crowd didn't get it. <v Speaker 2>Give a damn bad place to have any return for <v Speaker 2>the women, really bad place for them to do anything significant, <v Speaker 2>just because of the history of things there with the <v Speaker 2>women and the last of seemingly interest in the women's <v Speaker 2>division generally over there. Based on the reactions and I <v Speaker 2>don't know, just bad feels overall again, just say do <v Speaker 2>your own research and you will go, oh boy. So <v Speaker 2>I'll just leave it that and so anyway, let's talk <v Speaker 2>though quickly, very quickly. I am running a little bit <v Speaker 2>out of time here. Let's go to raw very quickly. <v Speaker 2>In some of the highlights, I'm not going to go <v Speaker 2>through every match like I normally do. But the big <v Speaker 2>highlights were Punk coming out and essentially teasing retirement, essentially <v Speaker 2>teasing that he could be done. He's sore, he's beat up, <v Speaker 2>he does no one will see us again. And then <v Speaker 2>he came face to face with Seth Rollins, which tells <v Speaker 2>us everything he just said is a bunch of nonsense. <v Speaker 2>Of course they're going to get to Seth and Punk, <v Speaker 2>but Seth goes away. Drew didn't even make it on <v Speaker 2>the show. But that's great for both men. I said <v Speaker 2>this in my last show. I think was that Punk <v Speaker 2>and Drew not only makes sense character wise to take <v Speaker 2>a break, but on an actual human level, they deserve <v Speaker 2>time off to heal their bodies, recharge through bad is mentally, physically, psychologically, spiritually, <v Speaker 2>all all of the things. They deserve time off. Give <v Speaker 2>them four weeks off, five weeks off, get them ready <v Speaker 2>for Survivors series. I don't need them on my TV. <v Speaker 2>And I don't mean that disrespectfully. I mean that in <v Speaker 2>an actual like. I appreciate all of what you guys <v Speaker 2>have done for this program, especially Drew McIntyre over the <v Speaker 2>last six months. You guys have killed it. Get a <v Speaker 2>hell of a hell in a Cell match, and it's <v Speaker 2>time to just take some time, reset, recharge, come back <v Speaker 2>for Survivor series and let's go. So if we don't <v Speaker 2>see Punk or Drew for the next five weeks, I'm <v Speaker 2>cool with it. You know, I don't need them returning <v Speaker 2>at Crown Jewel even shortly after anytime before Survivor series <v Speaker 2>or at Survivor series. That mean could be that long <v Speaker 2>that we have Ceampunk and or Drew return now. I <v Speaker 2>don't want them intermingling and in their programs. They can <v Speaker 2>coexist on the show, they just have separate stories. That <v Speaker 2>to me is where you go. You don't go to <v Speaker 2>a fourth match at all, it's done, it's over. So yes, <v Speaker 2>that's cool with me. But Punk and Rollin I think <v Speaker 2>is happening, and it's happening at Wrestle Media forty one. <v Speaker 2>I don't see any other place for it. I guess <v Speaker 2>you could do Survivors series, but there's more of a <v Speaker 2>build there than than a few weeks that that you <v Speaker 2>can get out of those two. So Punk and Rollins <v Speaker 2>to me is a WrestleMania forty one matchup. So outside <v Speaker 2>of that, let's see what else we got. And we <v Speaker 2>got I'm gonna do some high level stuff, Jay versus Xavier, <v Speaker 2>with Jay beating Xavier for the Icy Championship and Xavier, <v Speaker 2>you know, continuing his slow turn into darkness, which is <v Speaker 2>brilliant or not brilliant but long overdue, that's a better <v Speaker 2>way to describe it. We got, well, what else? We <v Speaker 2>have a good old fashioned Donnie Brook match that was <v Speaker 2>pretty brutal for both men, the Seamus and Pete Dunn. <v Speaker 2>We had, let's see a ten women tag team match. <v Speaker 2>I'm sorry, I don't care because they gave us nothing <v Speaker 2>out of that. It lasted seven minutes but still didn't <v Speaker 2>really do much for me. The guntherer versus Samy's Ain <v Speaker 2>World Title match though exactly what you'd expect the moments <v Speaker 2>of the Hallufa kick and oh my god, Sammy could <v Speaker 2>do it again. You got exactly what you expected to get. <v Speaker 2>It was exactly as advertised the close but no cigar <v Speaker 2>story with Sammy is exactly what you'd expect and hoped for, <v Speaker 2>and that's what you got. Sammy's Ain didn't win. My god, <v Speaker 2>he shouldn't have won. Gunther should have won, and he did. <v Speaker 2>This is a match that was physical. It was to me. <v Speaker 2>I never had a moment where I'm like, oh my god, <v Speaker 2>Sammy could win. I didn't have any of those moments <v Speaker 2>because it just it's so far fetched, given how awesome <v Speaker 2>Gunther's doing and how Sammy Zain just never seems to <v Speaker 2>win the big one, all of those factors put together, <v Speaker 2>it made no sense. So Sammy goes back to who knows, <v Speaker 2>As I said, probably the upper mid card, challenging for <v Speaker 2>the Icy title. Maybe him and Jay will have a <v Speaker 2>little bit of a you know, a scuffle. Maybe him <v Speaker 2>and Jay will even though they're friends backstage and all that, <v Speaker 2>they'll probably have some kind of interaction of oh, I <v Speaker 2>don't know, man, that belt looks pretty good. And maybe <v Speaker 2>they'll end up having a program of a very kind <v Speaker 2>of a gentleman's program, and maybe Sammy will take the <v Speaker 2>belt from him. I mean, who knows. So Jake can <v Speaker 2>go over to the Bloodline reunion. There's also a chance though, <v Speaker 2>that Jay still remains his Icy champion even though he's <v Speaker 2>going to reunite with Roman. So maybe it's just a <v Speaker 2>one night only reuniting with the Bloodline for Survivors series, <v Speaker 2>and that's to me a better way to do it <v Speaker 2>if instead of having him drop the belt, I think <v Speaker 2>that's a better way to have Jay have his cake <v Speaker 2>and eat it too, where he's still Intercontinental champion. He's <v Speaker 2>not moving to smack down and nor should he. It's <v Speaker 2>a one night only reunion of the Bloodline to take <v Speaker 2>out Solo Sokoa and then Jake could you know Boom <v Speaker 2>resume his Intercontinental title storyline immediately following Crown Jewel. I'm sorry, <v Speaker 2>a Survivor series, not Crownjewel. So so anyway, I do <v Speaker 2>you expect fully for Jay to come to his brothers <v Speaker 2>and Romans aide at Crown Jewel. That seems to be <v Speaker 2>where they're headed. So all right, Well that'll do it <v Speaker 2>for me here on the w W podcast as we <v Speaker 2>roll through this week in WWE. Well again, for those <v Speaker 2>of you that want to send me a after dark show, <v Speaker 2>please keep it as well. I don't want to say <v Speaker 2>it's not PG, but you know, keep it within the <v Speaker 2>realm of reason when it comes to cussing and stuff <v Speaker 2>like that. It is after dark. There are no rules. <v Speaker 2>But you know, as I said earlier in the show, <v Speaker 2>send it to me at mailbag at w B podcast <v Speaker 2>dot com. So just send it to me again. Audio <v Speaker 2>quality is key. I don't want it sound like crap. <v Speaker 2>You have to be honest to you. I mean, when <v Speaker 2>you hear shows and we've published them sometimes where they <v Speaker 2>don't sound great, it's not a fun listening experience. So <v Speaker 2>if you guys can give me as good of audio <v Speaker 2>quality as you can and make it fifteen twenty minutes <v Speaker 2>or more. You can make it longer, but at least <v Speaker 2>i'd say the around twenty minute range for a show <v Speaker 2>is good for after dark, and send it to me <v Speaker 2>and any of those that are good, yeah, maybe we <v Speaker 2>can continue on with that, or maybe we can publish <v Speaker 2>a few of them that are good. I mean, so <v Speaker 2>it all depends on how many I get, how good <v Speaker 2>they are, what the topics are, keep politics and you know, <v Speaker 2>religion out of it, and that's really all I ask. <v Speaker 2>So all right, I hope everyone enjoys the rest of <v Speaker 2>their day. Here on this Columbus Day, and many of <v Speaker 2>us have it off as a federal holiday, so enjoy it, <v Speaker 2>enjoy the rest of the week. I'll be back tomorrow <v Speaker 2>night with our Raw review, so enjoy yourselves, guys, and <v Speaker 2>I'll talk to you next time. <v Speaker 3>Thanks for listening to the WWE podcast.
