I Was Supposed to See That Bigfoot - My Bigfoot Sighting Shorts Episode 7

My Bigfoot Sighting

On September 7th of 2021, tonight’s guest, Dean Beardmore, was driving an oil truck down the Sierra Rd., at kilometer marker 167, in Alberta, Canada, when he had his Bigfoot sighting. He had just unloaded a load of oil and was heading down a dirt road, a fair distance behind a pickup truck when it happened. As he was approaching a sweeping curve, that went to the right, he noticed movement in the tree line close to the road. As he focused on the movement, he couldn’t believe what he saw. We hope you’ll listen to Dean share the details of that sighting and other Sasquatch-related experiences he’s had. As hard as it might be to believe, his friend just might have been right. Maybe he was supposed to see that Bigfoot.

My big foot siding happened in two thousand and fifteen. In two thousand and
fifteen, a fellow truck driver and I were hunting southwest of Grand Priirie,
Alberta, Canada. We were out scouting a local clear cut area. We
encountered a moose on the edge of the tree line. He stayed in the
vehicle, and then I went out and moved closer to the moose. I
got two good shots in on the moose. The moose went down. I
called my friend over to come help me with the moose. We kind of
sized things up, and then we decided we had to go back to town
and get his four wheeler to get the moose out. And that took probably
another hour to go out there, loaded and then come back to where the
moose was down. I think it was believed in the morning, so it
was probably about nine am when we saw the moose. So by time I
got back to the moose with the four wheeler to pull it out, and
got it and pull it out of the bush, I say it was probably
about ten thirty quarter eleven, nice sunny morning. When my buddy was loading
the four wheeler, I kind of walked into where the moose was, and
that's when I heard two big thumps in the distance, like trees hitting one
another. I didn't know what quite to think at first, and then with
all the internet stuff that has been watching they need two videos and how sometimes
they communicate through knocking on trees, and this wasn't two little trees knocking.
It was two fairly big trees hanging like two good sized knocks sounds probably within
less than a kilome or distance. Like I know he didn't hear it because
he was on the four wheeler, but I could hear it think where I
was with the moose, and that definitely sped up the process of processing the
moose there gutting it. And then as we finished doing that, I kind
of got in the rush because I knew what could be out there either or
there, or like we could be a big foot that was doing that knocking
sound. We actually forgot one of our big filet knives out there somewhere,
but we ended up getting the moose loaded onto the trailer. But I was
definitely a little wary of what was probably lurking around us there, so I
didn't say anything that was hunting with me, But I believe that was yeah,
twenty fifteen hunting season in the fall with September, and that was kind
of my first experience with potentially coming in contact with the big Foot. I
was an oil field driver. I was heading south of Valleyvue, Alberta,
Canada, down to the Seminette Road, which goes back into the back country
into the early part of the mountains. I guess foothills, I guess they
would call them. I encountered a driver coming out at a round kilometer of
ten and this would be probably January, so there's still snow on the ground
as temperatures are pretty cold around that time of year, so it'd be like
minus twenty usually. And I happened to talk to the stella and he goes,
well, if you're radio with all me in the as we're passing,
you said her radio. Then he goes, well, if you're going past
kilometer I believe it's forty seven, there's a big hill on the Ceminette and
sometimes like the chain up to get up the hill, and sometimes you don't
climb up. I was driving a transport sandholler type transport and this guy coming
out was a flatbed low boy flatbed. We were talking back and forth about
o'clambers, and he just said, in a kind of a shaky voice,
he says, yeah, you might want to look out on that hill there.
I saw something big and dark and upright walking along the tree line going
down the hill. And I've been down this road before, so I know
where exactly where he was talking about. The road kind of slopes up pretty
steep and then comes around a corner and on your left hand side going up
the hill, there's a they called pipeline where they's all the grass is cut
and the trees are cut low, and there's a pipeline that runs down alongside
of the road underground, and the bush line was all spruce. So it's
kind of dark. And this was around nine o'clock, so the sun doesn't
come up too early in this part of the country, so it was probably
around eight thirty when he saw that what you thought was a big foot when
what's somebody? He was telling me it was. He said it was upright
and walking down the hill in about probably four and a half five for your
snow, And he said that it was big, dark, but you couldn't
tell the cover because it was just sunrise coming up at eight thirty around that
time, and he was you could hear a little bit of shakiness in his
voice and he could say, okay, yeah, I was well, when
I get down there, I'll when I get down to the clown of forty
seven, or I'll check it out too, and I'll see what I can
see because it will be more daylight by tom I get down there will be
probably quarter after ken by Tommy get down in that area. So he kind
of faded off in the distance off the radio and get all I guess when
I get down there, I'll check it out for sure. So I got
down close to that area, and I looked up the hill and I could
see where it came out of the bush line went down along about five feet
out from the bush line down the hill, and then you could see where
the snow was pushed to the side, and then he went back in the
bush almost at the bottom of the hill. It was his siding, it
wasn't mine, but I could see where what he was talking about, how
the snow was deep, because we're right at the edge of the foothills,
and you could see where he had come out from the tree line went down
and probably about I would say about seventy feet, and then he went back
into the bush the trail. Now I had seen that, and I would
over talk the hill, but I couldn't stop because you would spin out if
you had to stop and put chains on. But I continued on to lease
and I unloaded my load of sand. When I came back out, it
was even more light out, so he could see better. I came down
the hill and once again he could zoo exactly where he came out. Came
down the hill and then back into the tree line, and I didn't stop,
just because it's a busy hill in the wintertime and it's no real good
places to stop to get out. The snow was deep too, so I
would never be able to get over into that area where the fellow had told
me where he saw this. But in his words, a big foot upright
was walking down the side of the hill. September seventh, twenty twenty one,
I saw a big foot come out from the tree line. But leading
up to this sighting, probably about two weeks prior to that, I was
driving the same road to Yer Road north of Fort Nelson, BC. I
was at kilometer eighty nine and greater operator and the water hauler. They worked
together as a team as they greade the road. He wets the road and
then the greater kind of flattens everything out for the greater man. And then
I could hear them talking on the radio. It is kind of in and
out because I was probably thirty ko forty kolos from them, but I could
hear one of them saying that, oh, did you see the tracks on
the gravel this morning? It came out from the Marshy area, crossed over
and went back into the marsh area. And the greater operator Ranswer said,
no, I did not see that this morning. And the other fellow on
the railbos did you take pictures of it? He goes, No, I
didn't because I didn't have my camera. So neither of the guys took pictures
of the footsteps that were in the gravel at Klounder or. I believe it
was one twenty two on the Sierra that that happened. That I could hear
as I'm talking about it. When I got up there, I couldn't find
any tracks or anything because the greater guy had graded over it. But the
one fellow did have a tape measure on him, and I could hear him
talking about that, and he was like, yeah, the stride from heel
to toe was three and a half feet in length. And I did have
a tape measure in the truck and when I did get the least, I
did end up measuring out three and a half feet and that is quite the
stride between footsteps. So I was two weeks before I saw my big foot
and that was quite the eye opening conversation that I listened in on. I
didn't answer anything. I didn't want to interrupt the full information going back before
between these two fellows talking on the CD radio. So that day had ended,
and then two weeks later I was heading back up on the same road
to the Serra road and I had gone into Lease to unload my load of
oil. It was kind of an overcast day, partly cloudy that it was
probably around eight o'clock when I finished loading, so I had come out and
being not far north, the sunset stays stays day like quite a bit longer
than down in the lower parts of Canada there, so I left Lease.
There was a pickup that left just ahead of me, and I think we
were at Klounder one, one eight year sold so we still had a few
kilometers to go to where I've seen the sighting, so I let that pickup
go around me, and he got up ahead of me, and the road
was a little bit dusty, so I had to stay back from a little
bit so I could see where I'm going in the dust. And he got
ahead of me, coming up to a long, right sweeping corner, and
that's where I kind of got sight of where the dust was going. It
was kind of flowing off to the right hand side of the road with the
slight breeze that was going on. The sun was setting. This is about
eight thirty or so in the evening, so the sun is setting. He
went past into the corner, and that's when I see the big foot.
He was huge. There's no other words to say that. He was just
big in the shoulders, just outstanding the big I only saw him for about
probably three the five seconds, and I never saw his face during the encounter,
so I basically what I saw was a movement in the trees aheaded me
in the corner, and as I was towards it, it kind of turned
its back to me and kind of walked back into the tree line. This
time of year the trees are starting to lose the leaves. They're colored yellowish
greenish. Everything's in transition, so he did stand out against that orange greenish
type background that the leaves were. He must have seen me, obviously seen
me, but I never saw him tell his back was turned to me.
And then he walked into the bush, and that's when my job the steering
wheel. I like, Wow, that thing is big, and there's no
other thing that it could be. I've seen bear stand up and walk and
they're not as smooth as somebody turning and walking away. So I knew right
away. It wasn't a black bear. It wasn't a moose, It wasn't
an elt. Wasn't the caurb where all these animals are in that area because
they're not that big. Somebody said, oh, it could have been a
grizzling. No, the thing was just built like a human. It had
an arm, had legs. I could see everything. I only saw about
three quarters of them. That his left shoulder was in the tree line when
I just started to see him, so all I could see was the back
of him as he turned and walked in the bush. Now, as this
is happening, my truck is still rolling ahead. I'm trying to figure out
what to do who I kind of put the truck in the neutral and then
roll up onto the scene with the key off. I turned the key off
so I could roll in quietly with no engine, And as I rolled into
a stop where the big foot had gone in, I could hear him walking
away, like there was probably eight nine steps that I could hear, and
I could hear the trees moving as he walked past the popular trees into the
spruce trees. And I had my window down and I could hear him walking
away, and I was like, wow, I was this in all what
I just saw and what I'm hearing. And then probably I would say those
steps probably took him about from the time I saw him until I stopped walking.
Was all within about probably ten to twelve seconds of me rolling up,
him rolling away from me and walking into the bush. I just stopped and
listen. And when he stopped, that's when I got a little bit of
panicky and I started up my truck again and I started the drive away.
Now at this point I'm thinking to drive away or should I just keep listening?
But the fear instincting me because I see how big it was and potential
damage that they could do to me. I started the truck up and I
said, well, I'm not going to stick around it too long because this
animal is just too big to have an encounter with. So I rolled up
the hip road probably another two or three kilometers, and that's where I called
my wife and she she was trying to calm me down because I was quite
excited, and I said, I can't believe what I've seen this. She
was I calmed down, Let's go over what you saw, and so she
she calmed me down and I told her what I've seen and said, well,
it was like a reddish brown color, had long hair on its arms,
and didn't see its feet because the grass was just high enough that you
could see just above his calf, so I couldn't see any feet. I
said, there was a white streak just above his but and probably about two
feet long. There's a little white streak from what I see when he turned
and when he walked away from me. Now I've had my encounter here.
I've talked to my wife, and the night I was running out of hours
on my log book for the day, so I only went down to about
clumber one twenty and when I usually part from the night, I usually turned
everything off, my truck, lights, everything, and I just sleep in
silence. But that night I ended up sleeping in the truck with the lights
on the truck running and raided a role if something decided come out with the
bush. So it definitely didn't have my hair on end and had me on
my word for sure. The following day, I had got back into cell
service and I ended up calling and a native fellow from my reserve, White
Dog, and he had told me, so this is meant to be like
you were supposed to see this big fellow and he was going through he had
a sighting as well on the reserve. Back home, I said, oh,
I didn't know. No one ever talks about it. Goes well,
that's thing sometimes you can't talk about and people like to talk about it,
and that there's people don't like to talk about it. Say okay. But
the main thing out of that conversation that I had with my native friend on
the reserve, he said that, well, now the next day when you
go back, you had to offer him some salmon. Put some salmon down
where you saw the sighting. And then that leave him some tobacco as well.
Okay, yeah, So I went down the Fortune John unloaded the following
day and came back up, and that's when I had stop break where I
saw my sighting. I went in and I put my tobacco offering down and
my salmon down. I didn't stay too long. I looked around. I
tried to see if there was any hair on the tree that you touched,
or there was a slight imprint, but you couldn't quite make it out.
The ground had been dry. I hadn't rained in the wall, so the
ground was a little bit hard. But just behind those trees, those rolls,
leafy trees, pine trees, you could actually see a little trail that
went down through the bush. And whether it was the beer trail, but
that's imagine that's where the big guy went down, down through that trail.
When I was hearing him walk away the previous day. Like I said,
it was an overcast day, it was evening, and it was just an
unbelievable experience to see that. I know, the pick up in front of
me didn't see it. He was probably about ten seconds ahead of me.
So I imagined that that big foot probably started to walk out of the bush
thinking it was safe, and then he realized it wasn't. That I was
coming along next, and that's when I saw that movement and he walked back
into the bush and yeah. I contacted a few people afterwards about it.
I talked to him about it, and a couple of them arend. It
was one of my co workers, and I talked to him about it.
It goes well. I said, he's never seen one or heard of anybody
seen one. And I told him Tony, so he was quite happy to
hear about it. And I talked to my kids about it the following week
and he said, what you see one? I said, yeah, And
I told him about it, and they were quite open to the idea of
it. And I haven't told too many people. I talked to a couple
of my close friends about it and they say, wow, that's pretty amazing
that you saw one. I said, yeah, it's seeing is believing for
sure. Like I heard stories, I watched the YouTube videos on big foots
and all that kind of stuff, and the doctors see one is pretty incredible.
I did talk to my dad about it, probably his only a couple
weeks ago. He was out for a visit and he was quite taken by
the story and he goes, well, that's quite the story. In his
words, he was saying, so, I'm quite pleased with my big Foot
setting. And so with all that talking with friends and family about it,
so I've only talked about it about seven people altogether about it. So this
is the first time actually talking about it on a recording. So I my
friend who is a singer in a Canadian band called One bad Son. He's
a comic drawer. He does comics for different companies. So we had emailed
back and forth saying, given my description of what I saw, taken it
from a picture that I took of the area, he did a drawing of
my big foot and it's just bang on like it's massive. It's just a
great drawing and something that I can hand down to my family with a story
to go with it, a picture and the story to go with that drawing
from Shane Volk, And yeah, that was my big Foot setting. In
