Now I know you really educated about sports, do you? Dad?
When sports get with it all? So absolutely Okay.
My first job out of college was Vegas.
Oh yeah, imagine I didn't have anything to do with sports,
but tell us sports early.
Well, my first first job out of college, I got
a I did an inning of play by play for
the Padres Triple A affiliate. Okay, and then I eventually
led to a sports casting job, and Jerry Tarkanian was big,
Tyson was coming into his own yeah uh, and the
mob was still there Tony Spillon. So one night I
go to one night I did the eleven o'clock sports
on TV, and my best friend owned an Italian restaurant,
and so he calls me and he goes, hey, I
just got off you just got off the news. I
had a late close. Let's go down Spring Mountain Road.
I got to drop off some pasta because he not
only own a restaurant, but he made pasta for casinos.
He goes, I have a delivery at this Italian restaurant
on Spring Mountain Road. I said, okay, I'll meet you there.
So I walk in. There's four mob guys in the corner.
So at the time there was mob was covered by
the local news. What are you serious? And Vegas had
like as ned Day. Well, I got I got out
of college at eighty six, so I was in Vegas
like late eighties, early nineties. I was in the rubble
for Great Larry Johnny. So I had my first job
out was was So I go to this restaurant and
there was a reporter in years ago you could look
it up named ned Day. So he was a mob reporter.
He was from Milwaukee. Was a mob town at one point. Yes,
So I go to eat dinner at this restaurant and
I look over and there's the Joe Beshiet character. Oh
what okay? So but not Joe Beshy, the real monster.
Yeah.
So I look over in the corner and I'm like, oh,
wait a minute. He thinks I'm a news reporter. So
I'm like, I'm not going to the bathroom. So I
sat there. We sat there drinking wine for two hours.
I wouldn't peek because I'm I'm not going to the
bathroom and walk past because all the mob guys were
staring at me, and I'm thinking, they think I'm a
mob reporter, and you couldn't take your eyes off them.
They looked like mobsters. They were all like this, tall
and thick, and so so I get out of the
restaurant's measurements. I walked down to the restaurant and a
couple of months later, Tony Spillatro you saw it in
the movie Casino, got whacked in a cornfield in Indiana.
That's crazy.
Well, goddamn, Colin, that's the best hor.
Rock sopranos he might get.
Is crazy. You're not the only guy with great stories
being any of my stories.
I'm like my reporters and they see them by you ever.
Seen the movie Casino? Yeah, yeah, so I they asked
so the news people you see in the movie Casino,
that was my news team, So Dave Crevassier, Gwen Costaldi.
They asked me to do it. But at the time
of the filming, the rebels were good, and I was
doing road trips and I just I couldn't literally go
shoot it because I was so busy. The rebels were great.
And so when that movie comes out, the Newspeople that
was my Channel three KBBC in Las Vegas.
I know we haven't introduced you yet, but that has
to piss you off a little bit, like you could
have been a Casino.
It's one of my favorite movies ever. A lot of urs'
that's what a great movie. And so you know Roxy
Roxboro who's played by de Niro, Yeah, you know that's
that's a real thing. So so these are you people? Oh? Absolutely?
Oh shit? Is it? So the place where Roxy Rocksboro,
there's a there's a moment in Casino where Roxy Roxboro
gets blown out of a car, so he keeps door
open because he thinks he's gonna get killed. He starts
the car, it blows up, and it blows him out
of the car. That is in the parking lot of
Marie's Calendars, which is where I used to go to
dinner in between my six and eleven o'clock news. I had,
Literally it was the mob hit was right there back
when I moved to Vegas. That stuff was raw and real.
That's crazy.
You ever had Marie Caald oh, great, Papa Papa and
Cornrad swore to God, no talking about he got a
chicken pasta yet it tell you so what you do
is how it comes a little square.
It doesn't miss.
It comes like a little square. You just pulled up
just a little bit.
Yeah, four minutes tight smoke, right, God, that's crazy, don't My.
Man is already.
Interne say you never see John Groo break down film.
That's me here when it comes to food.
Like, oh yeah, man comes with broccoli and everything.
Bro So it's ah yeah.
I'll take your word for with that being said, shout
feeling all rock meant tap in for sure, be here.
Kind of lazy that you pay shout filming and stock
asked men live in l as. All right, man, we
got a legend in building. Introduce him lasted to my
far left. We got my dog Bishop be hearing out
the pearls.
How you what.
Let's get to it man. We got a big, big
guest today.
Man. Yeah, we had Mark Cuban on.
Yeah, guess yeah, that's the that's the guy too. But
pretty big yourself for sure.
But that's tall.
I mean we were family. I mean that's crazy.
Yeah, I remember when uh we hired you guys. You
don't even know the story of it. Introduced.
So we get let me tell you, we got the
legend in the middle make North Troy guy man.
For sure, when we're here, we're getting better story that
we was one.
How were lady here?
So we would love to know, No, we were we
were looking for. It was very competitive. There was like
podcasts everywhere. They were exploding and somebody had mentioned you,
and my step son's like, oh my god, these guys
are hilarious. He goes, he goes, you got to hear
these guys, and so I'm all right. And so my
whole theory on podcasting is there's two things that matter.
Number One, when we got into this business, we were
a small company. We're still a small company, but we're growing.
So my theory is we couldn't compete with NBCESBN or Fox.
So I said, we have to find guys who are
like rising stars in Triple A baseball. They're great, they're
going to get promoted to the bigs, but once they
get to the bigs, which we are now in podcasting,
but at the time we were a double AD or
a Triple A, I said, we've got to find guys.
We can't get into bidding wars with huge companies, So
we've got to do better homework. We're baseball scouts, and
so we heard you guys, and we're like, oh, they're
going to be in the bigs really fast. So we
got to move on it. And so I listened to it,
and my whole theory on what makes good broadcasters grinds.
You got to grind, so you know that we like
people that like busting with the boys. First time I
heard him, I'm like, those guys put in work. So
I listen to you guys, I'm like, Oh, these guys
put the work in. The second thing is, which is
I think is lost a lot of times, is you
guys are really what you are as storytellers. That's what
it's all about. My favorite baseball announcer all the time
is Vince Scully. He was a storyteller and it just
so happened baseball was in front of him, but he
was really a great American storyteller. Paul Harvey was a
legendary radio broadcast where he used to move the ads
into the broadcast. You couldn't tell what the broadcast wasn't
what the ads were. He was a storyteller. So the
first time I heard you guys. Logan Swain said, you
got to listen to these guys. I'm like, oh shit,
these are our best storytellers at the company. I said,
this is going to work. I said, they grind. I said,
they're going to get promoted. You were a Yankee hat
I said, six months here, they're going to be in
the show. And it was somebody's gonna go. I said,
we have to show them how good we are what
we do. A few weeks before, you get the September
call up, which baseball used to have. So then we
got Lucky, got you and uh and it's been great
and now we graduated that we're all growing together. Yeah. Sure,
but it was you guys are great storytellers, and that's
really your good listeners. Great storyteller. You guys think your
basketball and all that. My thing is, no, you could
put you in any environment, it doesn't matter what the
subject is. You tell good story just so happens. Basketball
is your thing.
Yeah, we appreciate that.
Man, we never knew. So.
Yeah, I just remember getting a call from Jamie. Yeah,
he said, think about it first. We talked think about
it first. He said, think about it first. I'm gonna
call you tomorrow. Just give me a chance.
That's the fact.
And it's funny as you say that's October, well September,
it was right at time, perire and I'll say, we
evaluate some stuff and then Jamie came in fourth quarter
was just.
Like, oh, you know, seems a guy gotta go.
But even call it back tomorrow. Yeah sounds our god man.
Let me just say we're a better option.
See going on out there, we're better than no.
Sounds of my god day.
We don't do a lot of our take is we're
really going to what we do. And we've actually told
people before like, okay, go do that for a year.
You're gonna circle back. That's not gonna work. It's not
gonna you because we don't think that comes. So we
we've like our whole thing is we're good at what
we do. Sometimes people make promises, and Mile I've always
told my Stef, don't make a promise. We can't keep
like we're good people.
We work hard.
You work hard. Since you guys have been I mean,
you guys have been great. Obviously you know that it's
been a huge success.
Did you see the vision like what podcasts like, where
you to start a company like this.
Yeah. Yeah, Well the way it happened was COVID. So
I don't want to bore your audience here, but COVID
COVID happened, and nobody nobody drove. So COVID happened, and
the cars in like Los Angeles, there were no cars
in the road. And so I was talking to my boss,
Julie Talbot ran iHeartRadio and she said, I said, she called,
and I said, God, we don't have an audience, do we?
And she said no. She goes, your audience has never left.
I said, there's nobody driving. She said, your audience is
the only audience. There was one other political person. They're
going home and listening to you. And I said, what's
happened to our revenue? And she goes, the show sold out?
And I said with COVID she goes, yeah, yeah, So
I went. I thought about it for about three days,
and so I called her back and I said, listen,
if you let me form a company, I'm not going
to give you any ownership, but I'll do a rev split.
If I can create two thousand hours a month, you
can get fifty percent of my revenue. At the time,
I said, because otherwise when COVID ends, I don't have
any spots to sell and that's going to go to ESPN.
So I said, if I'm sold out now, but the
hell happens when this pandemic ends. So I said, let
me start a company, and they, you know, they wanted
to own it. I said, no, I'm gonna own it,
but I'll give you a REVS split all do all
the creating. And then we had to get really busy
and find people. And we made some mistakes. I mean
the first couple of years, you know, you're just trying
to find people, you know, Yeah, but we we hired,
we got very likely the one thing this happens in
life whenever something often awful happens, the duality of it,
like you're like, oh, the good stuff happens. So the
one thing about COVID that was great is that really
good people got let go at companies, people that would
never be available in management, talent, acquisition, salespeople company, but
companies who have to answer the boards. We didn't small company.
We didn't have to answer the boards. We didn't have
to answer to the stock market. And I looked at Jamie,
I'm like, I can't believe these people are available. So
we started building a team. I said, I told Jamie,
I said, let's not take a salary, Jamie, and I said,
let's just go three years in Ronday salary. Let's just
go buy the best people on the market. And so
that's what we did. We went and found all these
people that would have never been available. So one of
the things I learned during COVID is on the grayest day,
in the darkest times, there will be a silver lining.
And there were all sorts of people available that would
never be It was almost like if the NBA said tomorrow, hey,
we're gonna get rid of four teams, where you're like,
You're like, I got sixty players available. I'm a new league.
Like.
So it was like, all of a sudden, there was
all these people on the beach because you know, NBC
is like a budget because everybody's earnings went down during
COVID economy stuff. They were there. We're like, Okay, this
is our only opportunity to make this company work.
Man, that was an a portal.
NBC ain't treating right.
All these ideos comes to the West Coast.
I said, everybody was on the beach.
What it's quatting in the now. Oh god, dam you,
happy birthday. How did y'all link go? Man?
Uh? Jamie's funny. So I was at ESPN for I
don't know how many years I was there. Yeah. Yeah,
So they didn't ESPAM was great. I mean I really
like what they did. They weren't. They didn't quite know
what to do. So, I mean, I've done play by play,
but I wasn't play by play. I can be a journalist,
but I wasn't a journalist. I wasn't your traditional anchor.
So I was like a generalist. I was an opinionist.
And so they didn't quite know what to do. And
one of one of the guys came up to me,
one of the managers said, you know what I'm gonna
call you. You got a lot of theories. I'm going
to call you the company theorist. I said, if I
was a pro wrestler, that sound like something you go
up the theorist. I'm like, that's a terrible brand. And
Jamie went to so Jamie was in management. He goes,
let me go talk to this guy. So Jamie listened
to me really intently for about two or three weeks,
and he went to management and he goes, yeah, he goes,
just you know, I don't want to say exactly what
he said. It was kind of braggy, but he said,
I know how to use this guy, and you guys
don't let me create a show. And so I told
him I'm not going to do a traditional show. I said,
I want to be with a woman. I want somebody
that gives me shit. I want, you know, I want
I tend to be like I mean to be honest
with you, kind of like older white guy bloviating King
of the Hill. I'm like, I need somebody to take
shots at me. I need somebody to I said, she'll
get a kind of a smart ass woman that'll take
shots at me. And we interviewed like seven and Michelle
Beadle was, I mean literally thirty seconds of doing it,
I covered my mic and I said, it's your job,
you've got it. And the other women were great, and
they they all had great jobs, but she was just
perfect and Jamie built the show, which and I said,
I said, you know, I literally talk all the time
by myself on the radio, criticizing and being critical. Somebody
has to hit me, somebody's got to throw pitches at me.
And so that show was kind of I was sort
of the target of everybody's criticism and that made me,
I thought, more likable. And the show was and we
were basically targeting young kids after school and so it was.
The show was light and fun, and we talked about
stuff that was just nonsense that nobody talked to. We
also talked about stuff no other show talked about because
I said, we can't compete with Sports Center. There was
a guy at ESPN, a great guy named Brian Kenny,
and Brian was one of those guys at ESPN. He
could literally do everything, ping pong, host reporting, and I said,
we have to create a show that Brian Kenny would
feel uncomfortable on so he could literally do any show
at ESPN. He could do play by playboxing. I said,
what if we had created a show that Brian Kenny
would do that doesn't work? For me? That doesn't work
And I said, that's the show. I said, we got
to create something that's so weird and so ridiculous that
our traditional anchors would be like, yeah, that's not going
to work me. I that shoulders, And that's the show
we created. Man, that's boot shots.
My guy jam Man, he's seen a vision for sure.
He really knows what he's doing. He's really different now,
you know.
I heard it say like saying, that's kind of like
our show. I was really interested. I know you say
you steps, don't put you on, But what demo did
I hear from us? I'm really interested. I'm thinking of
the time period we were.
Saying we was doing it in time back in im twenty,
like before we had a studio.
I'm like, well, what a day here to say? Sign him?
Because I don't think.
We ever cared about demo. Like we were like talent work, ethic, storyteller. Okay,
we didn't really care about We weren't like seeking blank
blank blank. I'm just like, dude, we're looking for funny,
we're looking for storytellers. We didn't really we weren't like
checking box. We didn't care. Like I've always looked at
us as a we're a talent company. We don't give
a ship. You can be a pro wrestler. I wanted
to hire Rick Flair Charlotte Flair, and I'm like, you know,
I was like, it's just talented. It doesn't matter if
it's true. I don't care, you know what, I don't
I'm into talent. It's not like I'm a baseball company
and if you can't play short I look at it like,
I'm We're a media company. You got talent. We think
we're good working with talent. So we didn't really worry
about demographics and stuff or age. If you guys were
eighty and and storytellers, you know, we don't care.
Arp pid baby sponsor my bing gay.
Now I answer this question if you were a different
times for you, you and you grow as a journaliman
at this time period, who is an athlete?
Did you would start your pot with?
There's it's interesting. There's a lot of interesting people. Chemistry
is really hard. So one of the reasons the show
works is you guys not only like each other, but
you respect each other.
Right, So.
One of the reasons I like old school. I had
Channing Fry on the other day. Channing Fry made good.
He didn't make Kevin Garnett money. Yeah, so I like
people who have been successful but still need to work.
Jamie and Ioways had this theory that when we hired people,
we didn't have to be your biggest income, but we
couldn't be worse than second. Like if you were a
basketball player, We're not going to pay what the Warriors are,
but we got it. If you have a big shoe deal,
now we're third. Eventually you won't care. So we've got
to be your second, or you know, you may have
a pension, or you got a local deal. I don't
have to outbid everybody. But if I'm not your second,
so I would have to find an athlete who made
good money but would need to put the work in.
So when you ask me who's the athlete I would
work with, it's really who would be the teammate I
would work with. I'd have to find a teammate. It
really wouldn't be sports specific, person specific gender. It could
be Charlotte Flair. It wouldn't matter, right, Wrestling pays are more,
but she didn't have a shoe deal. All be your
shoe deal. So that's kind of how I look at it.
And it's really interesting.
You know.

We basically we do it. Sometimes we don't create pods,
we find them, but we've gotten more into the pod
creation business, and that's the same thing. We're looking for
people that like need to work but have been successful
on their own, like the Sophie Cunningham pod. You know
she's got a real gig, but her and West. But
so a lot of it is. You know, it's like
when you when you go on a trip, Okay, if
you go on a trip with Lebron, he's going to
be like Okay, I'm gonna buy this twenty four thousand
dollars bottle of me noo, and you'd be all like,
oh shit, we got chip in for that, right, you.
Know, yes, Lebron, I got nothing for Lebron.
He ain't never not been on a magic deal.
He got this for sure.
Ain't don't know what my wallet is. They didn't bring
nothing on this ship. We're not even a shoe deal.
We go either too.
I'm not fa.
I'm not bringing up wallet.
Man.
Here was vacation. You want a vacation with somebody who's
kind of in the same realmless right, right, nobody wants
to go to Vegas and it's poor guys and then
the rich dude and everybody resents by the first dinner, right,
so you just got to find they're all right.
So we didn't get names. Now you got picked. Plenty
of two. People started to pop Miles Turner.
Miles Turner is actually interesting sounds Miles. He'll say, he'll
say stuff. You know, coaches don't say a lot. I
don't put a lot of coaches on my show. They're
not because it's coach speak.
Uh.
Most of them didn't make player money, so they're going
to be pretty protective of their fraternity, their tribe, you know,
like they got the coaching guys so like Nick Saban's rare,
like Nick sable and just call people out because Nick's
up here. He retired at the top. He doesn't know
anybody anything, So Sabans can really Urban Meyers similar like
Urban doesn't you know he golfs in, he broadcasts. He's
not getting back into coaching find a lot of It's
hard to find those NFL guys.
What about basketball though, you don't think it's my basketball
coaches in the com.
It's the same a little bit though. Yeah, Cicago's literally yago.
We need to hear about having in Portland, man, but
be a long term part.
Great.
Guess what the owner said, He ain't he ain't paying
him so ship he probably looking for the Lincoln, right,
Who about that man?
But Portland. So that's a great fan base. They have
a great fan base. I don't like the idea of
him hold them out of the city. That ain't bro,
We're just talking about the every well you guys, don't
you like the fan base?
Yeah, they set out every game. Portland was great to play.
It was super solic brother like we need that area
like they are that whole paying the coach a million dollars.
Him telling them, ain't no T shirts tonight. It's crazy
a play been.
This a long time.
Our coach is called Rico. We can't get a T shirt.
That was it. I know this team, Bro. You ain't
heard from brandad Man.
You can't get a black seat service two games And
you watched.
The jail Blazer doc on Netflix. Yeah, yeah, I was
the one covering that.
Oh shit, it just gets better investor everywhere, like every time.
That was I worked at the NBC affiliate. No, It's
funny was Damon didn't like me at the time. Although
I loved Damon and he was the only guy that
got in trouble. I had real sympathy for Damon because
he was in Toronto and they had a baseball team
and a hockey team, and Toronto maybe the most divers
city in the world. Yeah, I mean, so Damon five
ten could hide in Portland from there, and it was
his hometown, and I think there was nowhere Damon could
go and just just have a nice night out because
Portland's not like a wild I mean, is downtown Portland
and the boring Birds, so like she'd was young and emotional.
He was funny. It was actually funny. I liked covering him,
but the damon thing. I always had sympathy for him.
It's like, you can't go home again, and I felt
like he got he was a little trapped there, like
I said on Netflix, like, guys, I'm not a fucking
crime reporter, like I'm a basketball guy. Like So it
got to a point where every time I showed up
to a press conference, I was a bad guy and
I wanted to ask basketball questions, but my management's like, hey,
you got to ask about the recent time, you know,
arresting it. It got really tiring. But so Bob what's
it was a GM, and Bob was the Blazers were
in a weird spot where they were too good to
get good draft picks, so they always drafted are like fifteen.
So I used to say, Bob, guy this roster, and
he's like, try draft in fifteen. He goes, the NBA
runs out of players at thirteen, so they ended up
getting like Jermaine O'Neill, like middle of the first and
Bob's like, we get guys who can play. He goes,
we're not drafting four. I mean go, I mean like
this year's draft is rare. Next year's draft by three
year out of player, Yes, three years ago, you're out
of I mean the James Wiseman draft. It's Aunt and
LaMelo I think was in that one. So Bob's thing was,
we don't get real precious here. I got the seventeenth pick.
I'm giving you an NBA player. So and that was
his defense, is like we draft guys and they make
the league. I mean, Jermaine was a good player. So
and so they were in a weird spot. Where would
he been, Like would Bob have been? Like, really, if
Bob had a sixth pick, he could be much more
concerned about you know, characters like I'm just trying to
find a guy. Because that Portland team was so stacked.
I mean, if you couldn't play, you'd get sniffed out
in two practices. I mean it was I mean r
Vetas Sheen, Pip and Smith Bonzie, damit.
The Kobe Stopper.
I mean Jermaine. I remember going to practices and the
players wanted Germaine to play. He was out of high
school the eighteen and he was a dog at practice.
I mean killing guys. Oh, he was killing guys. He
was the only one that cared about practice. So in
practic this German would just get so much crushing and
the players are all like, he's gonna play, and you
know it took him time to do. So I had
a lot of sympathy for everybody I covered. They should
have beaten the Lakers, they should have cheated well. And also,
I mean, they just got tight shots in the.
Fourth they missed.
Yeah, yeah, it's cheated the whole game though, but.
They missed twelve shots in a row.
I'm frustrated.
I give you that.
We're talking about the draft. You just said that, like
this draft is a special draft.
I guess they will say, you got aj Debansa supposed
to be number one, Darren Peterson.
Who would you take number one?
I think the Bansa. I think Darren Peterson has a
higher ceiling. I worried that he's a silo player like
no assists like Kawhi when he broke into the league. Yeah,
Darren's gonna get twenty six. I mean, I remember before
the season, Dug lead coaches at Green Bay. He said,
you gotta watch Darren Peterson. So Kansas was on two
nights later, I turned it on three possessions. I'm like,
that's Kobe, and I'm no basketball scout, but I'm like, bro,
that's Kobe, and he goes, yeah, well we were playing
in a week. Yeah, and he lit him up. So
I saw him. But then I started watching him. I'm
a boot. He really plays in the silo. You know,
he doesn't really help. De Bon says, now, I think
Darren's more polished offensive player. But the hammy, they're now
calling it too much creatine. I was going, as I
just worry about it instead of the Boons. To me,
never be as offensively. But he doesn't play in a silo.
I think he's stronger. It looks like his structures bigger
and stronger. I worry though, when he goes to Washington
with Trey Young. Trey averages nineteen shots a game. Trey
can be tough to play with. He gets to the
ball late in shot clock. We're not gonna not going
to defend a lot. You know, his reputation, I mean,
remember when he left Atlanta, Jalen Johnson exploded. Remember when
Harden left Philly, Maxie exploded. So I think that I
think his first year two years, no league average twenty one,
and then they'll move Trey and the laverage twenty eight.
I was you don't like him.
I don't think he's going I like him any I'm
going to Utah. You think so they're gonna they're gonna.
Are you gonna give Washington Walker Kessler?
Oh, now you get a Bailey Bailey? Oh, I wouldn't
get pick in the future.
Pick you give a Paste Bailey.
I wouldn't if I'm getting a Yeah, they will not
for me, but that's what they want. I told him
they been grooming him for the last seven years. You
clearly want him more than what a Bailey. I mean,
he went to high school in Utah.
I don't know.
If I give up Bailey, I would free.
Oh Bailey's Oh Bailey say DJ speak what to speak? DC,
you're on your Way's better learn mumbo sauce. Brother, you
will be in the nation's capitol. That's what sent it
between me and A. J.
Advanson.
It's not a good idea.
Damn the best the best. There's there's two great there's
two great players in professional sports. Let's take out baseball
with no salary cap. The two greatest players you can
have in football and basketball or hockey superstars or really
good guys for free. Ace Failey is free for four years.
Dylan Harper, you gotta be kidding me. The Dylan Harper's
free or that guy's insane. So if you don't have
Lebron in his prime, or like I think Hallim Burton's
an amazing talent, he's I mean, he's an amazing talent.
I think he's my favorite player right now in the league.
You gotta get some more players, you know, I mean,
I just like it the well the way he plays.
But I'm saying, either have a star or have a
really good player who's free. There's no value in having
a B plus guy that's a fortune like well that
those guys are all over the league. They are going
to be free. You're not paying it for three years.
I know.
I'm saying, So to go to get aj who's gonna
be free.
I wanted to free she remember us, Remember salt Lake.
You can't get free agents, but they just have to overpay,
insult you know, free agency. That's why you trade for Yeah,
you gotta go for a store.
He's going to be a star.
George. Getting back to I don't think Bailey is a star.
I think he solid.
I think he's gonna be a good player nineteen A
game nineteen nineteen eight.
I think a j can average twenty.
Seven if as get the opportunity he can.
He's oh, bro, he's a good player.
He's similar.
But Utah so stagged like you're from you were you
pay so much money in but remember Utah you have
to overpay for you got to remember it.
AJ actually likes Utah.
Collng on, gott to look at me when you speak.
Thinking about it.
He went to a school where he couldn't have sex
in to be a jazz bro. They're going to get
this ship done, bro, He's ace. Didn't want to go
to Utah at all.
He did at all.
He wanted to go to Deca, that whole Utah.
That's true.
That is that's that was your best selling place.
We didn't want to be here.
He didn't want to go to you. That's pretty good.
He actually wants to go to now.
Colin, I got you here.
I've never asked you for anything, but I need your
help on this. You're a great journalist.
Can we please find out why the NBA hates my
fucking Pacers because there is no way in the world
at that lottery pig which just happenstance and what they
did to us and set us back. And I'm really
upset about this, but I would love to hear your
thoughts on if.
You were gonna rig the NBA, there is no way
you'd have Oklahoma City as the champion. No, it just doesn't, okaylecondly,
if you were gonna rig the NBA. I think everybody
looks at Halliburt and it's like he's kind of Steph
Curry Midwest, Like everybody's just a night. Well, you don't
walk to college, talk to college. They dispec my faces,
they just spell I'm talking. I know, I'm talking about
selling shoes, likable personality, plays with joy, not a score.
I'm not saying style, love tyres, that's bullets. Okay, Well,
I gotta respect Collins. I respect and I'm not saying points.
And I'm saying in the Midwest, if I said, I'll
just say this, say this out loud, there's this kind
of handsome, funny, playful, joyful leader of a franchise that
you can't help but like elevates his teammates. He's kind
of polarizing guys, but you can't quite figure it out.
You'd be like, like Steph Curry, No, no, no, be
that'd be Tyre's Halliburton. He's kind of polarizing because his
game doesn't have By the way, NBA guys liked Westbrook
over Curry because Westbrook had hops and was physical and tough.
A lot of guys thought, and then Curry came out
with the pharmacy shoes and people are like, eh, God,
you got no credibility. And so Halliburton. Halliburton got voted
most overrated player in the league by players. And you're
watch him, You're like, Okay, that's animosity. Yeah, tell me
that his hurky jerky. There's nothing else like it in
the game. It doesn't look like anybody else's game.
One of the best postseason runs. They be a history.
He's a damn good player. I just want used to
Steph current you think.
He better than try you?
Oh?
Absolutely, because I think what different? No? He So don't
confuse Okay, I have a theory in life.
Okay, don't can.
Don't confuse assists with you're a good teammate. That's like
confusing people in the family who give gifts, but you
can't stand There are good gift givers, but you're like, God,
Paul's it, but.
Everybody looks at.
Everybody looks and goes, oh my god, Trey's assists. Yeah,
late in the shot clock he deals that after like
Trey is not easy to play with. Halliburton's a joy
to play and I like Trede. Trey is a great
guy and he's he's a huge talent. But people look,
Marberry used to get a lot of assists. He got
his points first, then he hand out assists like people
people look at assists and think it's like steals. Iverson
leads the league in steels. It's a huge risks, right,
That doesn't mean you're a great defensive player.
Yeah, but I I don't know. I ain't messing with that.
Take Trey Young.
I'm not saying he's not a good player.
No, you didn't call him sad. He's better than Tyre's Halliburton,
though if for what score better he could pass better.
Tyrese ain't one of the biggest defenders in the world.
Ship Colin's talking like Tyre's Halliburton guard like run on tests.
You guys don't like Halliburton.
I love Haliburton, I s it, I love Halliburton, but
I just think it's I think, trade twenty more with less?
Yes, then how come they traded him?
Because you know, sometimes nothing he does less with more?
The King's straighted Tyre Telliburdy. But two poverty franchises, the
Hawks and the Kings. Whoa whoa, whoa whoa lightly.
And I remember the way another guy that gives out
assist James Harden leaves Philly. Maxie explodes, you'd think, well,
he made Maxi a better player. Maxie became an All
Star overnight twenty seven a game. M Trey Young leaves Atlanta.
Jalen Johnson explodes.
They learned already, trajict.
He got her, he went, he was going All Stars year,
he was averaging around twenty.
Thanks.
I didn't sell my takes your right. Thanks.
I that's funny trying to tray Young too, because they
were trying to go in a different direction.
And we thought he was blowing it up and they
didn't want to say, and he was injury pro Now
I have a question for you. We should says Hawks
and know and they got no right pick.
But I was telling him they didn't deserve no more
pick because of Zachary Richards said, Am I okay with
saying that? Because I feel like, as a fresh house
who never got a number one pick, if you have usualrs,
you don't get another one this new lottery saying I'm
hating right now just the draft.
I'm yeah, it's a lumbat. That was a they made
a fist poor decision. Well, there's a there is an
argument that you shouldn't get back to back number ones.
There there's Orlando did years ago. They remember they went
back to back bloggeries. There's there's an argument you shouldn't.
I see. I think the tanking things overblown. So this
year they're nine tanking teams. Oh what what's interesting is
that the draft has nine players viewed as all stars.
There's no reason to tank next year, so people so
organizations this year, nine teams were willing to kind of
screw with their culture. Why because there was nine great players.
There weren't thirteen tankers. Because they're not thirteen great then
you're gonna get in the Yacks. Llandeborg Diemarra good players,
not not franchise change higher. No, I think he's good.
On top seven you think so.
Yeah, yeah, well the point is next year is a
terrible draft. There'll be no tanking. You're not going to
screw your culture to get a fifth starter. This year,
people were willing to just say we're gonna lose on
We're kind of gonna kind of lose because the talent's
so good.
And I got mad because our best player got hurt
in Game seven and everybody else they were just the
same team. They was just sad, like we weren't really
taking we lost our best player, we had no choice,
weren't gonna windows games with right, and we got pit
a lost for it.
Yeah, yeah, that's crazy, but you guys needed a center,
so you went to the Clippers. You get mad and
let this ship go. It's over with. Yeah, I drave
I did you know bad?
I'm a Cowboys fan, so now I don't have ship
to look forward to, like it's about to be training camp,
and like I there's no sadness for another year like that.
Boys will be okay, Yeah they haven't been seas they're
always okay. Eight, it'll be around there was there'll be
nine and eight, but you know it's real.
Good man, How do you feel about boozer. How you
feel about the boozer kid.
I like him. I think really smart kid. You're gonna
get like I talked to a scout. I talked to
a scout in the Eastern Conference two weeks ago, long
time scout, and he said, I don't know if he'll
make an All Star team, but he'll make your team better.
He'll be your third best player. He'll be eighteen and ten.
He'll be a lot like his dad. He'll be a
solid starter. He's not going to be your one or
two starter on a championship team, but it'll be a
really good third starter. He may make an All Star
team in the East, probably not in the West. But
he's he's a really really.
How you said, what's that?
Well, the East is not very good.
Well, see that's probably my all starts.
It's correct. I got to feel a little way about that.
I don't want to admit it. I said before the season.
It was two years ago. The eight of Dean made
the finals. Last year, the four seed did this year.
The number one seed doesn't have a second score.
Don't worry about it, because New York is here to
save today. I want my knicks, said, oh you god,
the Nicks are bad.
I watched your real take on them.
Did they bigs are bad?
I missed it because they literally switched they made Kat
a point center. Yeah I never saw it. Yeah, I
didn't see it. Comes So my whole take was complimentary.
Roster can't have really can't he want? You want Mitchell Robinson.
You don't want Mitchell on the floor because he's an
offensive limited player, But you can't have cat On late
because he'll get worked and he creates. He does weird fouls,
so he's like a huge liability. And they decided We're
going to bring him outside, take the burden off brunts,
and make him a point center. And I'm like, oh shit,
he went from one assistant game to seven. He's a
totally different player. So he's always been skilled. He's always
been a little emotional, weird foul guy, but he's always
been a great jump shooter. So I think Mike Brown
deserves a ton of credit.
He didn't get it. Like a lot of slender basically
was going on by Like you said that some major adjustment.
It was.
I'm still a lot right now.
They remember at the end of the year, there were
all these leaks. I can remember listening. Was it Josh
Hart or somebody said, like, our chemistry is not good.
I was like twelve games to go, and I'm like, oh,
they're shot, and then all of a sudden, now their
chemistry is great. A lot of time, everybody always wants
to make predictions, but stuff, okay, like football, everybody was like, well,
Sam Donald, turnovers, Steahawks were second in the NFL last
year and giveaways playoffs start. Sam Donald didn't have a
turnover in the better conference. And you're like, well, nobody
predicted that because it never happened before. Everybody everybody liked Donald,
but like turnovers, we all like cat but you're like,
he kind of plays in the silo. Can't have him
on the floor. Well, he just change his game. So
it's like sometimes stuff happens that it's just good coaching.
Can you think do you think the Knicks can be okay?
I think they can play with them. I think they're
really a problem for the Spurs because the Spurs are
twenty years old and the Knicks got they got guys,
they got men. I think Okac is just too deep.
It's just waves and van Antonio is a little top
heavy at this point. I think the Knicks could take them.
I think it's a six game series.
Five second, they got a better bench than the Nio
they do.
That's why they would win the series. They would shut
it out and see I think Minnesota and Oklahoma City
are not great matchups for the next I think San Antonio,
because of their youth, they would win it. But they
New York would give them problems. I mean they beat
them in the cop Yeah yeah, okay, that take was
better than the Curry. While we're here, what's one take
you wish you could take back?
One take you ahead of? Oh this age like Ben Simmons,
I got you? Oh no, I got you.
I remember that, I said, And what did I say?
Is the problem? That's the way. Yeah, Simmons is here,
I said Benjamin at the.
Time, calling I'm with you.
No no, no, no no no.
You went crazy some Tarby's Outburt stuff Curry ship. He
had a moment. But at that time, Ben Simmons bro.
Was going up.
Man, I played against him. I said, have y'all know seen.
Lebron I got a little hot that day. I overheated
on the event.
Well what made you feel that? Well?
Well, because I was told I had my basketball college.
Guys are like, that's probably the best part. They're like,
it's magic. If Magic played defense. They're like Magic couldn't
shoot either. They're like, he's Magic, but he's maybe a
better athlete and he plays real defense, so people forget.
He comes into the league and you're like, he's six',
nine he's kind of a rim. Protector he doesn't need to.
Shoot he scores mostly at the. Rim he was, like
you know how Like joki is like a point. Center
he was like a center. Point you're, like, okay he.
Can he's like a big, guy and nobody matched up with.
Him and then all of a, sudden you, know once,
again just like, podcasting he didn't love the. Game he
loved what the game. Provided he didn't really loved the.
Game and then he had an injury that he lost
his confidence and you're, like, wow this is.
Bad we saw a dog before he pulled up one
of my favorite. Documentaries oh, Documentary i'm, CURIOUS i go.
Here, yeah you, know speaking To Trey, young he kind of,
rolled don't That Ben, Simmons he went to black a.
Shot oh, yeah that's that defense recovery By Trey. Young
that was talking about that was a turning.
Point that Was, damn you're, right.
They don't. Know, yeah that is The wizards are in good.
Hand the we're just gonna be really.
Good.
Though you don't think they canna make the playoffs next?
Year The wizards, students well A d he ain't gonna be.
There, YEAH i don't think he's gonna be there there
in The East, Colin, yeah they'll make the.
Playoffs.
Yeah the bouncil average twenty, one trail be twenty. Three
they'll be fun to.
Watch Damn alex Are, yeah ad gonna go keep saying,
this where is he?
Going, well if it, Wasn't i'm gonna.
Pick you have to get A. D so whoever Was
nobody's always looking how many years left on his?
Contract he, said he's still gotta WIN. Mvp do you
think that?
Way that's what he.
Said that's what he. Said we heard them as.
He's an all time great defensive, player all, time one
of the. Best call he's Like Cam, newton his best
college football player. Ever saw, Him Vince, Young Anthony, davis
Is cooper, Flag Anthony davis like women didn't play, Here
lebron didn't. Play if you gave me the best five
best Players i've seen in college. Basketball, oh he would
be your he'd be your power forward.
In the last.
Decade is ion to make? It? Yeah probably he. Does
you Put carmelo uh mellow makes. It it'd be it'd
be a we'd have a lot of.
THREES i would, say where does dur Go Kevin, durant
Where's Michael bees?
Going? Durant, Oh Kevin.
Durant, yeah yeahs it's a tough we give you all.
Be Cray young would be actually one of your. Best
oh my, god he was. Amazing, yeah he would be
like your, Point.
Well he'd be your. POINT i, know he'd be. Yours you.
Know it is, funny but what doesn't Transition in my,
HEYDAY i got a lot of gray. Hair Pearl washington
was the point guard of Neight no and the two
guard of note Was Harold. Minor oh, yeah. Yep so
it's interesting the guys that in like, transition very very
few points out of college have. Bombed most big guys
fail because, then you, know Like kwame didn't develop his.
Game he dominated high school because he was just physically.
Stronger most, points you got to have. Game you're not you,
KNOW i mean you were small when you were eighth,
grade very few. Points you, know.
Why don't you think Like christian, Letter, now why didn't He.
Well christian was actually good average nineteen one, year he's
Like chief Van. Horned people are, like, oh it didn't,
work and you're looking to look at his numbers and you're,
like it's actually. Okay he scored a lot of. Points,
yeah did, you says had a Great, no, no, No i'm,
okay But I'll i'll give you a Private how big
he was in? College, okay so again he was one
of the best college. Players Christian layner will be on
your starting five all. Time in college he outplayed.
Man we, SAID i found, Out So, chris, hey Dear Christian, Lake.
Kyle Christian, Layner layner maybe second or third. BEST i,
mean you gotta go To he Was Bill, walton Al.
Sander Christian layton was sheet you used the last team was, cheating,
bro they are. Chief Christian lanner was. IN i covered.
HIM i went to those final. Fours he. WAS i,
mean Even tark would tell you it was like there
was nobody WHEN i. Covered one TIME i covered A
Laker blazer. SERIES i think it was The it was
the legendary. Series AND i asked a Question Phil jackson
about how do you Stop Rashid wallace and he, goes you.
Don't we don't have an answer for. HIM i can
Remember tark talking asking the questions About Christian lightner is,
like we don't really have an answer for. Him nobody
can stop. Him he took shack a part in. College
they met. Once that's a.
Fact you think If Anthony davis would have played four,
years he wouldn't have.
It, yeah if he would have done, it Probably anthony
was a great, player.
Probably the greatest college defender of all.
Time, yeah oh for.
Sure, yeah lock the entire, Team, yeah.
Easily now another one of my favorite. Moms you uh
you in the bar Ball? Man oh, jesus, YEAH i
made Magic.
Man what was that moment like for?
You if you expect show that took place so, MEMORY
i know over there it's a very important.
Moment.
Yeah he sometimes you just gotta let me. Listen he
leaned into his, thing and SO i leaned into. Him
it wasn't. Journalism it was, like as a funny, guy
he's gonna say, stuff it's gonna go. Digital let him
have his run On.
Lois, Yeah, yeah that was.
Crazy he was set that up where somebody brought.
Him so somebody brought him. In they, said we're gonna
bring him on the show, Today AND i was, like you,
know he's not mean, spirited he's. Funny he's a he's
almost like a boxing promoter from the seventies or, Eighties
like half of it is just. Nonsense BUT i liked.
HIM i thought he was. Funny and you, know not every.
Guest i'm not doing heavy lifting, Here i'm not you,
Know i'm not sixty. Minutes it's.
In.
Sports you, know sports takes.
For, Sure legendary episodes for. Sure, man how do you
feel about the players in the media going back out
of so?
Much?
Now is that? New because what's going? On has this
been going on behind those?
Doors if you go to if you go To, europe
if you go the tabloids Of, europe the writers and
the talk show hosts and the athletes have been going
at each other for you, know we're way more sanitized over.
Here you go over To, europe it GETS i, mean
you've had it gets. Ugly so my take Is i've
always SAID i have a right to ask you a,
question and you have a right not to answer. IT
i ALWAYS i have a theory on my whole, career
which IS i have. Opinions you can have opinions on my.
Opinions i'm not going to have an opinion On. Europe
opinion on my OPINION i have it takes fire away on.
It you can feel any way you want rip me to.
SHREDS i don't. CARE i got another twelve minutes to.
Fill so my take is sometimes athletes hate, me sometimes they.
Don't my take is rip. ME i, mean, LIKE i LOVE,
kd BUT i think he And Aaron rodgers are sometimes high.
Maintenance AND i would tell both. That i'm, LIKE i
think you're. Great i'd vote for Your hall Of. Fame
but somebody said on my staff there DAY kd is
like a. Boat the best day is the first DAY
i have it and the first day of sell. It
the two best days of a boat are buying it
and selling. It and by the, way somebody else will
buy the boat because you have amazing. Moments it is.
Awesome you kind of feel like cool guy in the
neighborhood when you get the boat OR. Kd and then
after about a year you're, like, shit, man there's a
lot of. Work it's. Expensive it's a lot of. WORK
B kd think about, THIS KD k maybe say, WOW
i Know ka D Royal, Caribbee Jeff katie is as.
Good Mark hugh told me when he coached The olympic.
Team he, said even With, Lebron he, Goes i've never
And mark's been at Don zacher for twenty eight, years
had thirty. Pros he, Goes i've never seen, it never
got a bad shot in, possession could give him the
ball with two seconds. Left he, goes Even lebron gets bad.
Shots so think about. That IF i told you there's
a basketball player literally. Unstoppable how many teams have been
on one and that was? Six there's gotta be something.
THERE i, mean if you if you walked by and
saw the most beautiful, woman you're, like it's her fifth.
Husband he'd be, like, OH i, mean wouldn't you be, Like,
okay there's something? There, well how many of? Them?
Not because we got to go to the number. There,
Yeah i'll still. Here then we gots some talk about but.
BUT i, mean, honestly if you if you meet somebody
and you're, like, man a bad, Number i'd be, like
maybe See mike can light you for, THEM i can lie.
Him it wasn't.
Okay so prime example Is houston's net rating was higher
when he didn't. Play it's not because a lack of.
Talent there was clearly a disconnect between young guys and
kad Like lebron's never gone anywhere with a net rating
is better when he. Leaves, ever so you can bet
people always Criticize. Lebron i'm like time. Out he elevates.
Everybody he Made Matthew delavadova look viable in THE. Playff,
okay you can Say lebron's been on multiple. Teams so
that's Because lebron is the greatest talent in thirty. Years
And lebron has chosen where to. Go katie has, made you,
know choices that like you look at him and you're,
like that didn't make any. Sense Every lebron decisions made.
Sense no thing about this in basketball. Culture, okay, no,
NO i like that. Movie but then he Left Golden
state For brooklyn and the reason WAS i want to
play with my. Friend think about. This if my home
said Tomorrow i'm going to The, jets WHY i just
love throwing to my slot. Receiver you'd go funk out
of here when he's crazy Like Andy reid to go
and you'd be, like but the basketball culture is it's
understood where you, like but watch them about the.
Whole line and all the stuff that films.
Together with, That like they got ship over there exactly
if you're going to The jets, evaluated there's nothing over.
THERE i love. It at least he was going to
play With kyrie V.
Damn.
One, okay, okay long gas.
Feet there's the reason why.
They didn't go to THE.
Gyp, YEAH i mean they didn't get.
Hurt they probably would have beat My Milwaukee, bucks WHO
i led to a. Championship other than, that it WAS
i think me And nis had fifty. Points was held
to the. Bus, yeah you.
Guys THINK i don't Like. Katie i've said, before in
the history of THE, nba if you took out centers
and you played a one on one, tournament K d
would Beat lebron And michael he would be he would
win the all time you got to take out, centers
everybody plays lead, HISTORY i would say K d would.
WIN i Love, katie BUT i mean there's the net,
rating The houston, stuff the burner, phone there's a lot of.
Stuff why do you think that's? Wrong the burner, phone.
You could have left that.
Out was he? Wrong i'm not saying he. Was are you? Married?
No are you? Married? Yes, okay there's a lot of
questions you'll be asking the. Marriage it's not about being.
Right that's.
Good.
Okay so you're you're, you're you're saying there are ways
to answer, questions there are ways to do. Thing i'm
not saying he was. Wrong but it's a team.
Sport that's.
True, yeah that's. True so Is.
Lebron it's like a vet. MINIMUM i THINK i don't
know why everybody keep saying. That that's EVEN i won't
take a, vet HE'LL. I i Think lebron is. Conflating He's.
Lebron not that he's, confusing But lebron's, like, listen you
gotta gave me some respect. Here i'm not taking. This
lebron's using commerce as, respect and my take is the
ultimate respect as you age in my, space is giving
me better. Management LIKE i tell young broadcasters all the,
time don't chase. Money chase. Management there's a sea of.
Money there's a finite, Level, jamie there's a finite leg,
talent don't chase. Money So, LEBRON i think it's kind
of psychologically is chasing money for, Respect And i'm, like,
no the respect is we think you're so. Great we're
going to surround you with. People we think we can
win a title with. You that's what we. Think we
have so much. Respect we win a, title but we
can't win it if it's just you, three Because, lebron
you can't play forty four minutes some. Defense SO i
think you have To sometimes you have a, telescope you
have to just flip. It lebron's looking at it and,
going you're not paying me this and, That and my take,
is no flip. It it is. Respect we think we
can win the, title but we have to get two wing.
Defenders like they're just not athletic, enough like they are
not out Of LIKE i would go pay For hart And.
STEIN i would go BECAUSE i think he can run
a little. BIT i would go get him as a
rim defender and then go get a wing.
Defender you think they're he's staying In La we GOT i.
Do we think he's. Going we got a, theory we
got the. Homecoming we think he's going back To.
Cleveland, yeah.
He has to go in his last road and has
to be talking about The knight who has six. Husbands,
well this is his old.
Wife, man he loves to go back to. Her i've been,
separated buried. AGAIN i WON'T i know how to rain
feel get it.
Back i'm almost out of here, Anyway.
Elliot it's hard to go FROM la To. CLEVELAND i
think once you've EXPERIENCED, la you can hide IN. La you,
know there's just certain places once you go, there like
like D Wade. Miami So i'm gonna go back To.
Chicago it's like it's, cold Like miami is hard to.
Leave it becomes part of. It LIKE i have friends
who have lived In New. Orleans LIKE i go To New,
orleans it's it's two three, nights and THEN i got
to you, know stuff isn't firing like so. So but
if you live In New orleans and you, leave the
rest of the country is pleasantville Like New orleans is,
food drink, late there's a, voodoo the whole. Culture so
Like so my old take is when you live IN,
la it's built for, stars, gates, topography, hills hiding. Hedges
akron is it's your trapped It's.
Lebron though he gonna be bothered anywhere, though call you
can't use that as a reason.
Not to go.
Bad and we need to See bron and he's a
better and a better team That James junior is gonna be.
Nice another ring In. Cleveland, yeah.
That's How electures fans feel about. It they don't ring
Saying LEBRON i got one. Ring i'm, like, damn, man be.
Grateful we ain't never got whatever. Ship i'll take aim.
Over ring for. SURE i don't think he's GONNA i
MEAN i got one.
On you think because of the.
CITY i Think lebron's family loves. IT i Think lebron
was worth six hundred million when he moved To La
he's now worth one point two. Billion It's la. CHANGING
i mean he's gonna be back in the.
SUMMER i mean's just a six.
MONTH i act like his life has.
Changed his house will be. Finished but Then bro.
AND i think they can make a real.
Run he's just not That. Austin lebron's never been a
gold you, KNOW i should say IT'S i never been
to go backwards. Guy lebron's very. Aspirational everything About lebron
is going to a kind of growing his, brand and
it feels like to, me it'd be a step, Back
like he went To cleveland Because cleveland didn't have a,
Championship so that wasn't a step. Back that was a
step forward in kind of solving or redeeming his reputation
in the city he grew up. With now you're, like,
Well i'm going to go there's a lot of. PLAY i,
Mean i'll be honest with. You if he went To New,
York McHale Bridges, Laker lebron New york biggest. Stage New
york's not beating The spurs AND okc with the current,
run he goes To New. York winning In New york
is different than winning anywhere in THE. Nba The knicks
are going to make one hundred and eighty million. Dollars
The knicks are just based on their home playoff. Games
that's how much That's New york's, Different, like that's WHERE
i want to.
Go i'd be A nick that's.
All he got to give up Those and you, know
If lebron LEFT la for a, year he'd be the
most inspired guy in the. League for. Sure he played,
great and that roster has a lot of things that
you kid doing that straight in free agent Though coronto's
mchaal and a. PICKER i, mean, well, no he is
a free, agent so he he.
Is oh, shit so let me know THAT i thought
he had it one more.
Year do you Pay?
Lakers that's a good.
QUESTION i don't pay. Him The mac, questions.
Bro, no but you can't let him, go so you
have to pay him. Something but you don't pay the.
Max do you pay him Because luca wants somewhere to
just because you.
Pay him because you you can't get Do Alex. Caruso
he's better Than Alx crusoe, offensively but they Let Alex crusoe.
Go you can't let him. Go you got to get,
something so you signed to do it mostly team friendly.
Deal they've promoted, him they've marketed.
Him he averaged twenty. Seven ain't no team friendly, NOTHING.
I.
Know, no what do you get in be? Here? No?
Now can you acting like The?
Portland well, okay so you give me a team friendly?
Anything get ready to Speak Utah, jazz we are signing.
Trading if you, will.
You're gonna have to pay him though he had on
his way who else lawyer? Marketing look layd.
MARKETING i want you to give.
Well two forty's the. Max i'd give him one eighty
and that would allow me within a year to move
him IF i had to do.
Four years one because the mostly differentnother team is one
seventy for the four years, OLD i give him over.
THAT i got you extra, team but that's to give
what you get.
DONE i like that for.
YOU i ain't, Man, OKAY i am. MAN i just
your team friendly just sound like Too moucker. FRIENDS i
just didn't know where he was going with.
THAT i would say team, Flexible, okay to forty, eight
you're Not, yeah that's not, no, no, no you're.
Done you can't get nobody. Else, YEAH i don't think
That backport can win nothing at.
All, AUSTIN i can't win the. Title, no they're wildly
entertaining that it's a great like The knicks and The.
Lakers half court offense really fun to. Watch nicks have better,
players they have real defensive. Players Josh Mitchell ROBINSON O.
G lakers don't. Have you have one elite defensive, Player Marcus.
Smart that's, it and he's.
And oh we got.
Next that's as bad as my that's as bad as MY,
haliburtono we're.
Here how you feel about THE?
Ai? Man you are?
Here?
YEAH i mean, like, oh people's?
Relationships, man that A.
I think they. Created have you seen that At? Fox?
Oh it's Pretty, HEY i call it. ME i help
people their. Relationships pretty. Good, oh we'd be, here he'll
see with their. RELATIONSHIPS i think we need to make.
A ai on your. Phone if you go To Fox
sports and look, up, yeah, OKAY i want to check it.
Out it's pretty. Good you can ask. It so you
on the echo Like Steve. Harvey, NO i mean it's on.
Sports Is Steve harvey? Relationships?
Yeah well, Yeah steven to remember see what they did
the relationship stuff?
Too that was.
Odeed what? Happened what's your take on the greatest player
of all?
Time?
Yes he said the greatest town in thirty. Years it
was real.
SPECIFIC i say go ahead and say. It it's all
IF i said to, you let's just say this is
just Say lebron And michael one, possession who would you? Take,
well we doing one, possession one, two Take jordan one,
possession no matter, what one? Game who would you Take?
LEBRON i THINK i Take lebron one Series lebron has
had bad. SERIES i would Take michael so one one, Possession,
michael one, Series michael one Game, lebron because he'll he's
an additive for other. People one. Season michael wears people,
out one, Contract. LEBRON i, Mean michael wore guys. Out
lebron doesn't wear guys. Out SO i think there's moments
Were michael because of his killer. Instinct but With, michael
you got he wore people out, Right lebron. Doesn't, really
that's not really his. Vibe so if you told me
a season or a, contract.
You had the number one, pick you get to you
had a number one. Pick he stands in the draft all.
Time we just bought The seattle. Team you got one all,
Time you're number one. Pick to start YOUR frenchi he's.
Taking today is the basketball however you want.
It today's.
Basketball. Okay So michael can't hand, check And michael has
to be able to shoot, threes which he never did
except for the two years they moved it. In not
every not every player Like Bill russell doesn't work. Today michael,
today who you? Picked who you Got? Lebron. Lebron now, again.
We got.
Do all your stuff right now is in Weaf he,
Said lebron's every.
Two goes for. Sure, no you're saying and. Not let's
say it's ninety, One.
Okay then it's a hand. Check league three point shot doesn't.
Matter the pace is slower half, Court, MICHAEL.
I ain't met at.
That that is different.
Area thats a totally different. Era. Now the game's very
slow to half court Up. Lebron lebron is a. Good
one Of lebron's advantages is he just gets up the
court in his prime, faster and he's just he's a freight.
Train if you remember the first three years he was
in the, LEAGUE i didn't think his game was that
much fun to. WATCH i just thought he was, Amazing
BUT i didn't think his game was like. Clever it
was like he was like a defensive. End he would
his big play was running down the floor and blocking
the ball off the. Backboard AND i remember, Thinking, god
is he going to develop a? Jumper and then about
three or four years he's always been super. Bright three
or four years into the, league you're, Like, oh he's
now shooting jumpers and he doesn't have. To so the
game is. Changing But michael was only Because michael had,
hand big. Hands guys of big hands don't necessarily shoot.
Threes kawhi as, well So michael that THE nba moved
it for two, Years michael had his higher shooting. Percentage
remember The portland game when you guys like, this it
was so shocking Because michael wasn't that guy so in
that in the old, era when it was a more physical,
league slower, pace half court, offense That's michael's.
League well, said well get out, here. Guys so future,
questions who wins the tip to show AN? Nba, okay
see repeat for one more.
Year, yeah and then San antonio goes in a.
Run do you think it's one of the league after?
This? Yep AND i don't think IT'S i think it's.
Obvious do you think he's the greatest talent you ever?
Seen, NO i Think lebron's the greatest talent we've ever.
SEEN i Think wemby has some genetic. ADVANTAGES i don't
think he'll ever be you, know he's not he's inconsistent a,
little he's not always fluid. Offensively i'm gonna throw a name.
Out this is really going to date me that we saw,
no Not Ralph. Sampson we saw a little bit Of
wemby and a guy Named Sam. Bowie go YouTube Sam,
Bowie Sam Boo he was filling the lane at seven to,
three AND i mean pulling up hitting jumpers like Like ralph.
Wasn't ralph was a total post. Player Sam. Bowie the
first TIME i saw, HIM i was, like, man he'll
shoot a. Jumper but his body fell.
Apart do you think when you've seen, that did you, like,
YEAH i take him Over Michael. Wemby, No, no when
he's Seen Sam, Booie.
No because they Had, drexler so they were, trapped you,
Know AND i understood it at the. TIME i would
say About wemby is ask yourself This kobe did about
ninety eighty five percent of What michael, did but he
wasn't quite as. Strong he didn't have the hand, size
So michael was the stronger. Player there are, players some
would Say Elgin baylor did a little bit Of. Lebron
there have been players can do some of What lebron can.
Do there are things That michael And lebron can't do
That wemby. Can wemby does stuff those guys, like, YEAH
i just can't do. It so then you get into
a space like are we just judging on titles or
there are there are components To wemby's game that nobody's.
Done i've never seen somebody.
Four guys don't have. Handles they don't they're not that
fluid like. That stuff's never been done like. That That's
Tiger woods hitting out of the rough two eighty with
a three. Iron you're, Like, okay that's just Not nobody
else has done. That tiger, WAS i, Mean michelson hit
shots And nickel there. Was tiger had about a ten year.
Run you're, like, yep that's not been done and or
duplicated even with different golf equipment And. Bryson The shambeau's,
strength Like tiger was.
Different, NAH i like how you BROKE nfl win A Super?
BOWL i know it's early when he got.
Training, Buffalo oh, shit this is the YEAR i gave
up on The.
Bills this is the year Dush. Allen, Guess, JOSH i
don't let.
Me down every, year. Man. Yeah buffalo of The. Rams
The rams is Bet rams are really. Good buffalo of The.
Rams i'm surprised The.
RAMS i will say Dark Horse detroit because they went
and got a really SMART oc From, arizona and they
solved their left tackle and THEIR gm is brilliant homes
Of Brad. Holmes they have a really good. ROSTER i
Think detroit's going to be the surprise, team not surprised
because we know they're.
Good.
YEAH i think they can win fourteen.
Games Then niners will be Bat they're getting really old
now we, oh for sure is gonna be. Back i've
seen drinking beers At, WrestleMania so oh, yeah he's to be.
Back, yeah, Yeah i'm blue black round picks special for.
Sure, yeah The niers would be back out the way for.
Sure probably Not Super bowl for. Sure but, listen, man
it was. Great we got to do, this.
Man also glad we got to make this.
Happen. Man oh they told me two days. Ago i'm,

Me this.
YEAR i dumped a thirty two in vertical bro thirty. Two,
yeah you had a better combine this time around it
the first. Time, YEAH i don't know WHAT i was
doing and oh, nine BUT i need to relax BECAUSE
i was. BULLSHIT i don't know how they drafted.
Me i'm, like, HEY i got.
Drafted it was your vertical in Thirty.
Yeah THEN i had a running vertical of thirty six
AND i THINK i ran it was what thirty?
Four you have a better vertical? Now?
Yes?
