<v Speaker 2>got a lot to talk about with this Monday Night
<v Speaker 2>Raw as it emanated from Saint Louis as we got
<v Speaker 2>a little bit more billed towards Survivor up. Sorry, Crown
<v Speaker 2>Jewel keep jumping Crown Jewels event because I want it
<v Speaker 2>over with. But we've got a face to face with Gunthron.
<v Speaker 2>We'll start off with that in just a minute. But
<v Speaker 2>I want to welcome all of you to the WWE
<v Speaker 2>podcast and welcome all of the new patrons who have

<v Speaker 2>event that had a Hell in Us all match, but

<v Speaker 2>let's get into the Monday Night Raw, and I want
<v Speaker 2>to talk about Cody and Gunther read off the bat. Now,
<v Speaker 2>this was a very respectful exchange. We didn't have any physicality.
<v Speaker 2>There's no need for any physicality here because this is
<v Speaker 2>something that is simply this match is happening because the
<v Speaker 2>schedule is saying it needs to happen. It's not happening organically,
<v Speaker 2>and that really hurts matches when they're just structured to
<v Speaker 2>happen instead of happening organically. And no matter what it is,
<v Speaker 2>it doesn't really lend itself usually to having a great
<v Speaker 2>memorable program. Well, let's go through it here. As Cody
<v Speaker 2>Rhoads comes out, and he came to the ring and
<v Speaker 2>he shook hands with Joe, Tessitore and Barrett before entering
<v Speaker 2>the ring. Because Cody shakes the hands of everyone, even
<v Speaker 2>the janitor, right, Like, I mean, that's the kind of
<v Speaker 2>guy Cody is. He just gets worse and worse every week.
<v Speaker 2>But Cody said, to know where you're going, you have
<v Speaker 2>to know where you've been. Oh my god, is he
<v Speaker 2>gonna start talking like Kamala Harris. Is he watching many
<v Speaker 2>Kamala Harra speeches. I mean, we're just gonna get a
<v Speaker 2>whole bunch of like empty platitudes now from Cody Rhads. Anyway,
<v Speaker 2>he said he's a sports entertainment traditionalist and he was
<v Speaker 2>immensely proud to be in a city with such a
<v Speaker 2>rich pro wrestling history. Cody mentioned Sam much Nick and
<v Speaker 2>wrestling at the Chase, and he said something happened in
<v Speaker 2>the building that changed his life for the better. He
<v Speaker 2>said it was in Saint Louis that there was the
<v Speaker 2>we want Cody chant the first one, and Saint Louis
<v Speaker 2>is very impressed and proud of themselves. I mean, like, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>it is if you're in person, it's kind of a
<v Speaker 2>cool thing to be known for. But they didn't invent it.
<v Speaker 2>It was going on, I mean before then, but it
<v Speaker 2>visually audibly happened most I mean from most people's perspective
<v Speaker 2>at first in Saint Louis. So he said he was
<v Speaker 2>sure someone would call him a politician, but there's nothing
<v Speaker 2>political about what he was doing. And he thanked defense
<v Speaker 2>very very much and delivered his what do you want
<v Speaker 2>to talk about? Yeah, Cody, there's nothing more political or
<v Speaker 2>less political then pandering to the audience, dressing like a politician. Uh,
<v Speaker 2>and then delivering your line that you always deliver that
<v Speaker 2>is still not catching on. Yeah, there's nothing more or
<v Speaker 2>less political than that. Sure, I mean, the only thing
<v Speaker 2>he's missing it is an American flag pin. That's it.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, that's it's literally all he's missing. So yeah,
<v Speaker 2>I mean, he can try to pretend that he's not
<v Speaker 2>very much like a politician. The way he acts, his mannerisms, everything,
<v Speaker 2>he dresses like one, he speaks like one. He is
<v Speaker 2>a politician, and people don't even see it, and they
<v Speaker 2>continue to cheer for him, which is just really it's astounding,
<v Speaker 2>and so let's let's continue here. He then had Gunther
<v Speaker 2>come out and he joined Code inside the ring. He
<v Speaker 2>said he normally would come out and dress down his opponent,
<v Speaker 2>but there wasn't much negative to say about Cody and
<v Speaker 2>said that Cody makes all the shows and countries on
<v Speaker 2>various continents called him the quarterback. Gunther said he has
<v Speaker 2>a lot of respect for Cody, and Gunther said, if
<v Speaker 2>he thinks about it, there might be one thing, and
<v Speaker 2>he said that you just want to be everybody's darling,
<v Speaker 2>don't you. Yes, exactly. Again, that's what politicians do. If
<v Speaker 2>you know anything about politicians, that's what they do. So sure,
<v Speaker 2>just because you say you aren't one Cody doesn't mean
<v Speaker 2>you own it and you aren't one, So say it
<v Speaker 2>as many times as you want. You are by definition one. Anyway,
<v Speaker 2>Gunther pointed to the issue with Kevin Owens. Gunther said,
<v Speaker 2>if he expects Cody to sort sort out his emotional mass,
<v Speaker 2>because he expects the best version of Cody in Saudi Arabia.
<v Speaker 2>And he said that what Gunther thinks is his greatest
<v Speaker 2>weakness is actually what he considers his greatest strength. He
<v Speaker 2>said he wanted to make an observation from one champion
<v Speaker 2>to another, which, by the way, he never explained how
<v Speaker 2>that's his greatest strength. He just tried to counter it
<v Speaker 2>by saying he countered it, but never actually countered it
<v Speaker 2>with any backup. Like it's like saying, I know you are,
<v Speaker 2>but what am I. It's just I don't know I
<v Speaker 2>just noticed he never actually supported why he felt it
<v Speaker 2>was his greatest strength. But Cody said he's seen what
<v Speaker 2>happens when guntherer throws everything at an opponent who keeps
<v Speaker 2>coming back, and said Gunther gets uncomfortable, and that Gunther
<v Speaker 2>broke at WrestleMania and said he could return a lot
<v Speaker 2>of things that Gunther said about him in terms of
<v Speaker 2>being champion in a workhorse and that he thinks he's
<v Speaker 2>swimming in deep water, but his feet are still touching
<v Speaker 2>the bottom of the pool because he's never been in
<v Speaker 2>the ring with him. Well, actually, yeah he has. I'll
<v Speaker 2>continue to point it out Royal Rumble twenty twenty three,
<v Speaker 2>the finish if you remember so. Sure, they never had
<v Speaker 2>a one on one match to best of my knowledge
<v Speaker 2>on television, but that they have been in the ring together,
<v Speaker 2>that's for sure. Gunther said that was spoken like a
<v Speaker 2>true secondary champion, and the fans booed. Cody said Gunther
<v Speaker 2>has become a frightening beast, and Cody took issue with
<v Speaker 2>being called a secondary champion, and he pointed out that
<v Speaker 2>he beat the most dominant champion in company history. He's
<v Speaker 2>already slain a frightening beast now interesting that brock Lesnar
<v Speaker 2>indirectly was referenced twice on the show twice and that
<v Speaker 2>Cody was one of them, so that was quite quite interesting.
<v Speaker 2>But anyway, Cody then dropped the mic and offered his hand,
<v Speaker 2>and Gunther accepted while saying good luck to me the champ.
<v Speaker 2>Oh that was it? So not really much to write
<v Speaker 2>home about here. Trying to create a program that is
<v Speaker 2>ice cold into something we care about is not a
<v Speaker 2>task I am jealous of taking on or wish I
<v Speaker 2>had one. I mean, it's not something that I It's
<v Speaker 2>just it stinks because you're trying to create something out
<v Speaker 2>of nothing. But these two are both so talented that
<v Speaker 2>I don't think there'll be any issue. But by the
<v Speaker 2>time we get to November second, I keep saying November second,
<v Speaker 2>isn't November second, I need to stop And anyway, so
<v Speaker 2>I think it is November second on that Saturday. By
<v Speaker 2>that time, I think we'll be all ready for this matchup.
<v Speaker 2>It'll be at the point where we're like, okay, cool,
<v Speaker 2>I'm interested. Now, nobody mentioned if you noticed the Crown
<v Speaker 2>Jewel Championship. The best of my knowledge, I don't think
<v Speaker 2>anybody did, which I appreciate. I appreciate that no one
<v Speaker 2>pretended that the Crown Jewel Championship is worth even men.
<v Speaker 2>And if it's so prestigious as Triple Ah tried to
<v Speaker 2>sell us a couple of weeks ago, you would imagine
<v Speaker 2>that both of these men would be having something to
<v Speaker 2>say about it. But they have nothing to say because
<v Speaker 2>there's nothing to pull from because it's a useless, just
<v Speaker 2>just a completely fabricated championship. And I'm glad it wasn't
<v Speaker 2>the focal point. I wouldn't even want it mentioned at all.
<v Speaker 2>So all right, then we had what else happened on
<v Speaker 2>RAW again. I'm not going to go in any particular order.
<v Speaker 2>I guess I'll start at the top of the show now,
<v Speaker 2>and that's where we had we Ripley walking backstage. She
<v Speaker 2>comes out and Ripley said she's not finished with liv
<v Speaker 2>Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez and called him out. Tiffany Stratton
<v Speaker 2>comes out with her briefcase and joined Ripley and said
<v Speaker 2>that she needs to stay out of Nia Jacks's business.
<v Speaker 2>And then Ripley said she didn't have time for this
<v Speaker 2>and she needs to get her hands on Morgan or Rodriguez,
<v Speaker 2>so she can welcome Stratton back to Raw her own way,
<v Speaker 2>and that's when Morgan and Rodriguez attacked Ripley and Stratton
<v Speaker 2>left them both laying. And so, yeah, I guess having
<v Speaker 2>this temporary crossover of Stratton, they're fine, you know, Tiffany Stratton.
<v Speaker 2>I don't think has any need to really cash in
<v Speaker 2>right now. I know that many of you keep predicting it.
<v Speaker 2>I don't want it. I think there's actually value in
<v Speaker 2>continuing to tease fans that she could cash in. I
<v Speaker 2>don't need it going the full twelve months, but there
<v Speaker 2>is value in remembering that she is the money in
<v Speaker 2>the bank briefcase holder for the women, and that she
<v Speaker 2>at any time could cash in. Now the place you
<v Speaker 2>want the audience ideally, anytime you cash in men or
<v Speaker 2>woman man or woman championship, whoever. The key is that
<v Speaker 2>you want the audience at a point where they've kind
<v Speaker 2>of forgotten that you are the money in the bank
<v Speaker 2>briefcase holder. You kind of want them at that point,
<v Speaker 2>and that way creates a little bit more of the
<v Speaker 2>surprise element as best you can. And I think, and
<v Speaker 2>I've been advocating this for months and months, if not years,
<v Speaker 2>at this point whoever the money in the bank. Briefcases
<v Speaker 2>holder are for the men and the women. I think
<v Speaker 2>they shouldn't be required or obligated to carry around that
<v Speaker 2>briefcase all the time. It suddenly just becomes a part
<v Speaker 2>of them. It's like a new appendage, you know. And
<v Speaker 2>I don't think it's beneficial for everyone. Now, sure that
<v Speaker 2>can use it as a weapon to win matches, like
<v Speaker 2>we saw a number of times with Trivity Stratton, who's
<v Speaker 2>used it as a weapon, And they can dress it
<v Speaker 2>up like Tiffany Stratton is done making it pink or
<v Speaker 2>whatever she's done, and you can do a lot of
<v Speaker 2>stuff with it. You can pretend it's a boombox like
<v Speaker 2>Bracklausner did. If remember that really weird moment was that
<v Speaker 2>SummerSlam like eight years ago. But anyway, my point is
<v Speaker 2>it doesn't need to be a third appendage. It can
<v Speaker 2>actually be something that they don't need to carry around
<v Speaker 2>every week. And the reason is, even if they want
<v Speaker 2>to cash in, the briefcase is symbolic. It doesn't actually
<v Speaker 2>have the contract in it, So all they need to
<v Speaker 2>really do is just use word of mouth. Now, maybe
<v Speaker 2>maybe the actual rules say okay, they need to even
<v Speaker 2>though it's symbolic, they still need to hand the briefcase
<v Speaker 2>of the referee and the rebell needs to ring. Fine,
<v Speaker 2>let's go with that. Then only have them carry it
<v Speaker 2>when they're about to cash in. I don't need them
<v Speaker 2>carrying it around all the time. It's a constant reminder
<v Speaker 2>because what you're doing is kind of undermining yourself from
<v Speaker 2>a storyline perspective if you want that surprise element, because
<v Speaker 2>when you had that person carrying it around all the time,
<v Speaker 2>it's a concept reminder. It's like, oh, yeah, I almost
<v Speaker 2>forgot they're the briefcase holder. Why would you want them
<v Speaker 2>to remember that if you're trying if the goal is
<v Speaker 2>to have an element of surprise, instead you have when
<v Speaker 2>the moment is right, that person come out, champions down.
<v Speaker 2>You have a perfect situation where they could cash in
<v Speaker 2>they had the briefcase. That's when you go, oh my god,
<v Speaker 2>I totally forgot they were the briefcase holder. That's what
<v Speaker 2>you want. So I don't know that. I'm not a
<v Speaker 2>big a big believer in having to carry around the
<v Speaker 2>briefcase all the time as a symbolic gesture that you're
<v Speaker 2>the briefcase holder in the money bank, brief case, so
<v Speaker 2>I don't need it, just my two cents and an opinion.
<v Speaker 2>Didn't need you didn't even ask for free of charge.
<v Speaker 2>All right? So backstage, Rhea told Adam Pierce that she
<v Speaker 2>wanted to face live and Raquel Pierce said he spoke
<v Speaker 2>with them and the match was on, but she needs
<v Speaker 2>a partner she wanted. Ripley wanted to go it alone,
<v Speaker 2>but she's gonna begrudgingly agree, and Tiffany Stratton showed up
<v Speaker 2>and complained to that nicko Aldis wouldn't have done this
<v Speaker 2>to her. Pierce asked Ripley about team with Stratton. Riply
<v Speaker 2>said fine, and Stratton wasn't sure what they were talking about.
<v Speaker 2>That's all. We get a tag team match there then
<v Speaker 2>then then then we get the beloved women's tag team
<v Speaker 2>titles on the line. At this point, I'm surprised when
<v Speaker 2>they don't have a women's tag team title match. Remember
<v Speaker 2>when championship matches used to feel special. Put aside the
<v Speaker 2>fact that the women's tag team titles mean about as
<v Speaker 2>much as a championship belt I buy from WWE shop.
<v Speaker 2>Put that aside, but the principle of having championship matches
<v Speaker 2>mean something has unfortunately been eroded away. And the fact
<v Speaker 2>that I am surprised when they don't have a women's
<v Speaker 2>tag team title match, or at least that when the
<v Speaker 2>women's tag team champions are on the show that they
<v Speaker 2>aren't just automatically defending them, is not a place I
<v Speaker 2>want to be. I don't accept it. We've all become
<v Speaker 2>complacent in this constant need, or this constant expectation, I
<v Speaker 2>should say, of having championship matches. I remember when it
<v Speaker 2>was there was a time, guys, back in the day
<v Speaker 2>where championship matches primarily took place on pls, not exclusively,
<v Speaker 2>but pretty darn close. And when you got a championship
<v Speaker 2>match on Raw Er SmackDown, it felt special. It felt
<v Speaker 2>like a big deal. Even the tag titles at one
<v Speaker 2>point when they were when they were put on the
<v Speaker 2>line on you know, free TV, You're like, oh my god, Wow, cool,
<v Speaker 2>we get a championship match. Wow. Now we've been re
<v Speaker 2>I guess recalibrated by w w A. This is their
<v Speaker 2>doing into expecting that were entitled to a championship match
<v Speaker 2>of many, so not just one, but we should get multiple.
<v Speaker 2>And anytime you see a champion when you're in person,
<v Speaker 2>you feel like we should get a title match. We're
<v Speaker 2>in title to one and as unfortunately that's the drawback
<v Speaker 2>of having championship matches all the time. It wears out
<v Speaker 2>as welcome. It reduces the value of what a championship
<v Speaker 2>match used to mean. It's it's importance because it's happening more,
<v Speaker 2>which means more of something means it's worthless. So you
<v Speaker 2>add on top of that that the women's tag titles,
<v Speaker 2>as I said, are about as you know, as actually
<v Speaker 2>valued as a used tissue. And I'm being serious, and
<v Speaker 2>it's not gets a little bit of hyperbole, but it's
<v Speaker 2>sure a little bit of an exaggeration, but it's to
<v Speaker 2>get my point across that the women's tag team titles,
<v Speaker 2>as I continue to say every week, are not and
<v Speaker 2>continue to not really feel that important despite the factor
<v Speaker 2>the round the waist of Jade Cargill and one of
<v Speaker 2>the greatest that w W has and Bianca bell Air,
<v Speaker 2>and I think that they could do better if they
<v Speaker 2>simply stop putting them on the line every single week.
<v Speaker 2>I mean they're putting them on on w television twice
<v Speaker 2>a week, defending them twice. They defended them a SmackDown,
<v Speaker 2>They come to their ow and defend them against the
<v Speaker 2>Sky and Kyrie saying, now, give ww credit here. This
<v Speaker 2>is the championship match that I think could have easily
<v Speaker 2>been on a pl E. If you want car Gil
<v Speaker 2>to get more spotlight, but have Jade be protected by
<v Speaker 2>Mother Bianca from any of her weaknesses, and you want
<v Speaker 2>also super credible opponents, that's what a PL spot is for.
<v Speaker 2>That's what a pl spot is for. But when was
<v Speaker 2>the last time, And this is a serious question that
<v Speaker 2>WWE put the women's tag titles on a ple in
<v Speaker 2>a match like having defended When is the last time?
<v Speaker 2>I don't know. I don't know. I think they've just
<v Speaker 2>gone around, gone by the wayside, and it's been mostly
<v Speaker 2>now just a they're not even competing. They just if
<v Speaker 2>you're a women's tag team champion, you are cursed because
<v Speaker 2>you yeah, you can call yourself a champion, but that
<v Speaker 2>means you're automatically not on the pl E, just like
<v Speaker 2>by by default. Now, maybe that'll change, and I hope
<v Speaker 2>it does, but that's why I don't want to make
<v Speaker 2>car belt. I went on that RNT the other day,
<v Speaker 2>so Okay, the match though, was fine. We did have
<v Speaker 2>the finish as follows. Eosky performed in Asai munsalt on
<v Speaker 2>bel Air and Cargill, and then Sky through bel Air
<v Speaker 2>back in their ring, argued with Legend and Jackson, who
<v Speaker 2>are a ringside, and Legend blasted Sky with a forearm
<v Speaker 2>to the jaw. Bel Air pulled Sky back in the
<v Speaker 2>ring hit the kod for the victory. I don't again
<v Speaker 2>Legend and Jackson on the outside to get them exposure. Fine,
<v Speaker 2>but I don't. I mean, let me just say one
<v Speaker 2>good thing about this, because I feel like I'm ranting
<v Speaker 2>a bit. At least it wasn't the typical finish of
<v Speaker 2>having Jade come in for the hot tag. She gets
<v Speaker 2>the pinfall. That's a nice change, although the bar is
<v Speaker 2>very low with all things said here, So there is that.
<v Speaker 2>But also, why do Jade and Bianca need help? Weird?
<v Speaker 2>Right again? I don't know if they even notice they're
<v Speaker 2>turning them heel, it's under their nose. I don't even
<v Speaker 2>know it's happening. It's happening, all right. We had an
<v Speaker 2>American made vignette with Chad Gable Julius Creed, Brutus Creed
<v Speaker 2>Ivan Isle and which was really funny, and they said
<v Speaker 2>they're sick of degenerates and asking for handouts, and Americans
<v Speaker 2>need a hero, and he said Gable did that he
<v Speaker 2>could be that hero. I just love American alpha, American Alpha, jeez,
<v Speaker 2>American maid. That there's a throwback American alpha. All right.
<v Speaker 2>Bron Breaker was then in a promo video. He played
<v Speaker 2>up the question of why he attacked Jay, and Breaker
<v Speaker 2>said he showed respect to Jay and he threw it
<v Speaker 2>back in his face and never said that he respected
<v Speaker 2>him as a champion. And he said he's not carrying
<v Speaker 2>on his family legacy, He's doing it on his own
<v Speaker 2>and said that someday his family will have the same
<v Speaker 2>amount of respect for him that he has has for them.
<v Speaker 2>And Breaker accused Jay of using his family legacy for years.
<v Speaker 2>So all right. Next was a Adam Pierce Bronson Reed
<v Speaker 2>sit down in a conversation. And I saw one of
<v Speaker 2>the YouTube streamers and it's I wish I could give
<v Speaker 2>him credit because I was watching some of his feed
<v Speaker 2>and and some of it I saw also on TikTok
<v Speaker 2>a lot of the YouTube streamers. I can't remember who
<v Speaker 2>it was. Anyway, he said that it felt very much
<v Speaker 2>like an HR meeting that was recorded and then published
<v Speaker 2>a national television That's what this felt like. It felt
<v Speaker 2>like an HR meeting that we probably shouldn't have seen.
<v Speaker 2>It was different. It's not a complaint, just an observation.
<v Speaker 2>So I'm not going to give myself credit for coming
<v Speaker 2>up with that. Another YouTuber did, I can't remember. I
<v Speaker 2>can't remember his name. Some of you he's very well known.
<v Speaker 2>I just can't think of who he is. And it's
<v Speaker 2>a yeah, it's not. What's his name from Long Island?
<v Speaker 2>The brash? I can't remember. I'm so right now. My
<v Speaker 2>recall memory is shot. I can't think of who he is.
<v Speaker 2>But he se wet and it felt like an HR meeting.
<v Speaker 2>That is true. But the purpose of this was read
<v Speaker 2>saying he wants seth Rollins. Yes, he's trying to make
<v Speaker 2>a name for himself, he said he's Reid said everything
<v Speaker 2>he's done is about proving he belongs on top. And
<v Speaker 2>Pierce said he would speak to Rollins about the match
<v Speaker 2>if Reid agreed to not cause more trouble, so he
<v Speaker 2>you know, basically, Adam Pierce is saying, look, I know
<v Speaker 2>you cost us tens of thousands of dollars, if not more,

<v Speaker 2>It's essentially what he said. I mean, it's just the
<v Speaker 2>narrative here just continues for WWE, where bad behavior is rewarded.
<v Speaker 2>And what am I talking about? You guys? Remember retribution
<v Speaker 2>during the pandemic era. They had chainsaws and destroyed everything.
<v Speaker 2>I mean they cut the ropes and smashed windows and
<v Speaker 2>they terrorized WWE for like weeks. Remember that. I mean
<v Speaker 2>they must have cost if this were real, of course,
<v Speaker 2>I mean hundreds of thousands of dollars of damage. And
<v Speaker 2>instead of using security to ban them, they rewarded that
<v Speaker 2>group with WWE contracts. They said, hey, instead of doing
<v Speaker 2>the damage here, why don't you do the damage and
<v Speaker 2>cost us money as superstars. It's just ridiculous. I don't
<v Speaker 2>I know, we're not talking about retribution that was five
<v Speaker 2>years ago, but still it's the same logic here. Bad
<v Speaker 2>behavior is rewarded and that's what we got here. So
<v Speaker 2>I have no issue with Seth Rollins and Bronson red,
<v Speaker 2>I mean, bring it on, but kind of funny. Okay,
<v Speaker 2>we had the war Raiders, No, not the Viking Raiders.
<v Speaker 2>The war Raiders, Eric and Ivar have returned decent reaction
<v Speaker 2>and they took on Otis and Akira Tazawa in a
<v Speaker 2>tournament match for the World Tag Team titles. So we're
<v Speaker 2>getting a tournament match, you know, Triple HS clearly a
<v Speaker 2>big fan of tournaments. Here. Eric and Ivar dominated and
<v Speaker 2>they won as you'd expect, and it was like two
<v Speaker 2>and a half minutes in which it took them to
<v Speaker 2>be victorious and move on in the tournament. The war Raiders,
<v Speaker 2>by the way, much better name, and it's just so simple,
<v Speaker 2>but I love it. Instead of Vikings and pretending to
<v Speaker 2>be Vikings, no war Raiders, they got a new little
<v Speaker 2>they look different, little tweak on the gear, the graphics
<v Speaker 2>are a little different. I like it, simple, makes sense,
<v Speaker 2>bolsters the tag team division instantly. Good stuff. I have
<v Speaker 2>no complaints with the war Raiders. I think that that's
<v Speaker 2>a good move. Simplistic move, but good move. And it
<v Speaker 2>feels like it's been a hell of a long time
<v Speaker 2>since we've seen these two together. Eric and Ivar, all right,
<v Speaker 2>Backstagejann and Pierce is talking to Seth Rollins about the
<v Speaker 2>match potential match with Bronson. Red and Pierce express concerned
<v Speaker 2>about the injuries that Rollins endured, and he said that
<v Speaker 2>you fight through the injuries to get to the top,
<v Speaker 2>and once you get there, guys like Reid will try
<v Speaker 2>to make a name off you. And he said he
<v Speaker 2>did it, and so did Pierce, So now Reid is
<v Speaker 2>doing it. And here's where the second mention of brock
<v Speaker 2>Lesner is. He said Rollins did that, He's slayed beasts
<v Speaker 2>and conquered kings and now hunting a monster sounds nice,
<v Speaker 2>interesting obviously referring to brock Lesner in Triple H here,
<v Speaker 2>but that's the second mention of brock Lesner indirectly, okay,
<v Speaker 2>not by name, but then like a drive by and
<v Speaker 2>just something of note. I can't remember the last time
<v Speaker 2>anyone even came close to referencing brock Lesner. Now, Triple
<v Speaker 2>H was recently asked in a I think it was
<v Speaker 2>like a I don't know if it was some kind
<v Speaker 2>of like on the street interview or something, where where's
<v Speaker 2>brock Lesner? Can you tell us when he's coming back
<v Speaker 2>or if he will and Triple H said, you're gonna
<v Speaker 2>have to ask brock Lesner that, and that he said
<v Speaker 2>he imagines he's up in Canada, living life, enjoying his family,
<v Speaker 2>and that if he ever wants to return, you know,
<v Speaker 2>he knows where to call. So seems like the balls
<v Speaker 2>in brock Lesner's court, as it always seems to be
<v Speaker 2>if you guys are looking for a Brocklesner return. Usually,
<v Speaker 2>now that we're getting on the second half of the year,
<v Speaker 2>we're already all looking towards WrestleMania forty one. Perhaps that
<v Speaker 2>may peak the interest of Brocklesner a bit. And it
<v Speaker 2>does tell you that from a legal standpoint, in all
<v Speaker 2>of the spider web of Vince McMahon's sex scandal, in money,
<v Speaker 2>hush money, all that that brock Lesner has been cleared,
<v Speaker 2>cleared of any wrongdoing. If w W is telling us
<v Speaker 2>that it's in Brock's court if he wants to come back,
<v Speaker 2>then that tells you from their perspective, it's all good man.
<v Speaker 2>So all right, So we got, as I said, that's
<v Speaker 2>after Cody Rhodes, we got the whole Cody Roads thing,
<v Speaker 2>and then we had bron Breaker versus Kofi Kingston, and
<v Speaker 2>bron Breaker beats Kingston in eight and a half minutes.
<v Speaker 2>Kingston as a finish here, I always want to describe
<v Speaker 2>it for those that may not have seen it, avoided
<v Speaker 2>Breaker who was charging at him. He went through the ropes,
<v Speaker 2>hit his shoulder, crashed into the ring post. Kingston hit
<v Speaker 2>a cross body block. He then followed up with an
<v Speaker 2>SOS and then he went for a move from the
<v Speaker 2>top but was caught by Breaker, who supplexed him. Breaker
<v Speaker 2>lowered the straps on his and then speared Kingston for
<v Speaker 2>the victory. After the match, Breaker t's going after Kingston,
<v Speaker 2>but he exited once Xavier Woods came in and Woods
<v Speaker 2>then turned his attention to Kingston. Breaker returned to the
<v Speaker 2>ring and knocked him down and then Jay Usa comes
<v Speaker 2>out super kicks Breaker. Jay followed it up with a
<v Speaker 2>spear and Breaker exits the ring and Jay joined Woods
<v Speaker 2>and helping Kingston to his feet. So this this was
<v Speaker 2>what it should have been. I have no complaints here.
<v Speaker 2>The quality of this match with Breaker in Kingston was
<v Speaker 2>good again for what it could be. In eight and
<v Speaker 2>a half minutes, it furthered bron Breaker in that heel
<v Speaker 2>role that he's in. It also furthered Xavier a little bit,
<v Speaker 2>and the announcer saying, well, why wasn't he here earlier
<v Speaker 2>to help Kingston? Why did it take him so long?
<v Speaker 2>And really just kind of planning those seats of doubt
<v Speaker 2>in the minds of fans with Xavier Woods and so,
<v Speaker 2>I mean, I'm looking forward to what that payoff is
<v Speaker 2>eventually going to be. Can't wait. So also having jay
<v Speaker 2>Uso come out and spear Breaker fun because jay Uso
<v Speaker 2>is not a pushover champion. I don't know how long
<v Speaker 2>he'll have that belt, but it's very possible the next
<v Speaker 2>time he does face breaker for it, he could give
<v Speaker 2>it back immediately. Very possible. All right, moving on, let's
<v Speaker 2>see we got our Truth versus the Miz, so a
<v Speaker 2>wide family graphic flashed on the screen and the final testament,
<v Speaker 2>which is at Carring Cross eight, con Scarlet and Paul
<v Speaker 2>Ellering walked to ringside and Truth rolled up Miz who
<v Speaker 2>was distracted, and Our Truth beats the miss In one minute.
<v Speaker 2>After the match, Truth hugged Miz and the referee while
<v Speaker 2>celebrating his win. Truth went to ringside and then cross
<v Speaker 2>Fist bumped Truth and let him pass, but then said
<v Speaker 2>get him get him right now, and that's when ACoM
<v Speaker 2>and Raizar grab Truth threw him back inside the Ring
<v Speaker 2>mis hit Truth with a skull crushing finale, and Cross
<v Speaker 2>and eller Ring were smiling and nodding. So, I don't
<v Speaker 2>know what the hell the deal is with the Final
<v Speaker 2>Testament having any vested interest in this program at all.
<v Speaker 2>But regardless of the fact that they don't have any
<v Speaker 2>logical interest in this from at least what the fans
<v Speaker 2>have been told about this story, there's just nothing to
<v Speaker 2>tie them to it, at least anything I can think of.
<v Speaker 2>Here's the good part. It gives something for the Final
<v Speaker 2>Testament to do, even if it doesn't have any logical tie.
<v Speaker 2>It's like, Okay, I don't know what you're doing here
<v Speaker 2>or why you even care about this, but at least
<v Speaker 2>you're here. I mean, that's how low the bar is
<v Speaker 2>for the Final Testament. Just do anything that gets you
<v Speaker 2>on TV, even if it has nothing to do with
<v Speaker 2>what you were doing or no one's explaining why you're
<v Speaker 2>here or care. The fact that you're just existing on
<v Speaker 2>television is where. That's the starting point for me for
<v Speaker 2>Final Testament. All right, So, and we get to another
<v Speaker 2>big segment here, and this happened a couple of times.
<v Speaker 2>Jimmy was going throughout the building searching for Jay. Jay
<v Speaker 2>ignored him the first time, and then Jimmy found him
<v Speaker 2>his second time, and Jimmy was trying to get Jay
<v Speaker 2>to hear him out, and Jay said, I said no,
<v Speaker 2>and he said, quote, get out of my face, man,
<v Speaker 2>and that's when Jay walked away. This is exactly how
<v Speaker 2>you should tell the story, Jay. It would make no
<v Speaker 2>sense if Jay just, without hesitation, went back to his brother,
<v Speaker 2>went back to the bloodline. It's gonna take some resistance.
<v Speaker 2>This is called storytelling. It would make no sense that
<v Speaker 2>he just goes, oh, okay, hey Jay, let's let's hug.
<v Speaker 2>I'll see on SmackDown with Roman and we'll reunite and
<v Speaker 2>take out the old the Rogue bloodline. Yeah, so I'm
<v Speaker 2>on your side, guys, let's do it. No, No, you
<v Speaker 2>need to build to it. So we're gonna get a
<v Speaker 2>couple of nos, maybe several nos before we get to that. Yes.
<v Speaker 2>Just like with Gunther refusing four times to give Sammy's
<v Speaker 2>a in a world title match, it's gonna be kind
<v Speaker 2>of the same thing until Jay and Roman are I'm
<v Speaker 2>sorry Jimmy and Roman are in a very precarious situation
<v Speaker 2>where it looks like they could have their careers ended.
<v Speaker 2>Maybe they have Roman's head in a chair, you know,
<v Speaker 2>like something extreme. And that's when Jay comes out and
<v Speaker 2>makes the safe, especially for his brother. I think that's
<v Speaker 2>probably where it is, where Jimmy is his brother rather
<v Speaker 2>than Roman is in a situation where he could, you know,
<v Speaker 2>be killed essentially, and Jimmy is about to be destroyed.
<v Speaker 2>And here comes Jay. He's like, I've seen enough, so
<v Speaker 2>that's what's gonna take. So he'll have you know, he'll
<v Speaker 2>be questioned about it. He might get texts from Jimmy
<v Speaker 2>and storyline, and he might even be contacted more times,
<v Speaker 2>you know when Eve and I when Jay is on Raw,
<v Speaker 2>Jimmy's on SmackDown, and you hear the stories still continuing
<v Speaker 2>about Jimmy trying to contact Jay and Jays still ignoring him.
<v Speaker 2>It's gonna go on for a little while because remember
<v Speaker 2>Survivors series isn't for another month and a half, so
<v Speaker 2>we got time. If they don't bring Jay back into
<v Speaker 2>the fold by Crown Jewel, they still got time. So
<v Speaker 2>I like it. Ray Ripley and Timothy Stratton versus Live
<v Speaker 2>Morgan and Rockel Rodriguez. This match was eight minutes and
<v Speaker 2>forty second ends to be exact and Rhea tags in again.
<v Speaker 2>This is the finish hit riptid on Morgan. Ripley had
<v Speaker 2>the pin, but Rodriguez broke it up and Ripley tossed
<v Speaker 2>Rodriguez to the floor and then tagged out. Stratton went
<v Speaker 2>for the prettiest Moonsalt ever, but Morgan rolled out of
<v Speaker 2>the way and Ripley went after Rodriguez at ringside and
<v Speaker 2>set up for her finish, but Naya Jacks hit Ripley
<v Speaker 2>from behind. Jax entered the ring. The referee call for
<v Speaker 2>the bell, so here we go, so Naya Jackson raw
<v Speaker 2>makes sense. After the match, Ripley headbutts Jackson starts to
<v Speaker 2>power her up, but Morgan clipped Ripley's knee and Jax
<v Speaker 2>attacked Morgan and put her down with a Samoan drop,
<v Speaker 2>and she followed up with another leg drop, and then
<v Speaker 2>Jax encouraged Stratton to cash in. Stratton rang the ran
<v Speaker 2>the ringside, grabbed her briefcase Dominic Mysterio ran out, pulled
<v Speaker 2>Stratton to safety to close the show. So it was
<v Speaker 2>weird seeing Ripley and Stratton team together. They're kind of
<v Speaker 2>an in between place with Tiffany. Even when they've booked
<v Speaker 2>her as a heel, how many times did the fans
<v Speaker 2>cheer for her? They have that connection with her, so
<v Speaker 2>it was interesting seeing her team with Ripley. They're also
<v Speaker 2>waiting for her to turn on Naya. I think that's
<v Speaker 2>eventually the place they'll go is Stratton turning on Naya,
<v Speaker 2>which everybody wants to see. So it was fine, you know,
<v Speaker 2>I didn't ever think there was a chance that Stratton
<v Speaker 2>was going to actually cash in and win the women's
<v Speaker 2>world title from Live Morgan, just there's too many layers
<v Speaker 2>of stuff going on here would have made no sense.
<v Speaker 2>So but fun. Nonetheless, still a decent, decent, decent matchup here,
<v Speaker 2>and that was the main event. That was the main
<v Speaker 2>event of the show. So a raw that didn't blow
<v Speaker 2>your doors off, but a raw that continued to progress
<v Speaker 2>towards the Crown Jewel event, which is only three weeks
<v Speaker 2>away in Saudi Arabia. So I do have a little
<v Speaker 2>bit of extra time here. I did kind of run
<v Speaker 2>through raw a little quick. There's been a lot of
<v Speaker 2>news circulating lately about a potential Goldberg versus Gunther matchup.
<v Speaker 2>Let me just say no, please no, And for several reasons.
<v Speaker 2>One Goldberg's matches, as we all know, especially if you
<v Speaker 2>don't like that kind of one trick pony type of
<v Speaker 2>wrestling ability, which is just what Goldberg is. And he
<v Speaker 2>made millions off of two moves, and good for him, seriously,
<v Speaker 2>but I'm not into that. I don't like his style
<v Speaker 2>of matches. Of everything, every maneuver has to be a finish,
<v Speaker 2>you know, not a big fan of that. Now. It
<v Speaker 2>would be on paper, a big headline match Goldberg versus Gunther.
<v Speaker 2>Of course sounds on paper if you don't think about anything,
<v Speaker 2>you just he had just look at the names and
<v Speaker 2>don't use any brain cells beyond that. It does sound enticing.
<v Speaker 2>And Goldberg is always keeping himself an incredible shape. Credit
<v Speaker 2>to him, and I'm sure he would love to be
<v Speaker 2>able to compete in front of a crowd again and
<v Speaker 2>get another match under his belt, and especially with his
<v Speaker 2>son Gauge now, and you know, at the age where
<v Speaker 2>he could know he's old enough certainly to remember that,
<v Speaker 2>and he would have a lot of there'd be some
<v Speaker 2>bonding there with his son and all of that's true, right,
<v Speaker 2>all the gushy stuff. But when you just dig a
<v Speaker 2>second an inchest, not even an inch, like you know,
<v Speaker 2>just take your nail and scratch a little bit beneath
<v Speaker 2>the surface, this would be horrible. The reason is I
<v Speaker 2>think the match quality, especially what we're used to with Gunther,
<v Speaker 2>would spit in the face of everything we know about Gunther,
<v Speaker 2>at least, I'm sorry, what we expect from a guntherer matchup.
<v Speaker 2>It's the complete antithesis of a Gunther match. Goldberg is
<v Speaker 2>all about finishes. Gunther is all about ring psychology, breaking
<v Speaker 2>down your opponent slower pace. Goldberg is explosive, spear spear, spear, spear, spear,
<v Speaker 2>jackhammer one, two, three, and I'll go home. Not a
<v Speaker 2>great matchup here with Gunther on paper sounds pretty please don't. Also,
<v Speaker 2>Goldberg hasn't wrestled a w match in what how many
<v Speaker 2>years now, and he just is suddenly anointed to be
<v Speaker 2>number one contender for the world title. He's done that before,
<v Speaker 2>not something I think is particularly exciting, So I hope
<v Speaker 2>they don't go that road. But that has been at
<v Speaker 2>the forefront of conversation here for the last well since
<v Speaker 2>since Bad Blood, when Gunther called out Goldberg and talked
<v Speaker 2>about him and his son. So I just hope that
<v Speaker 2>don't do it. I don't know, maybe you guys have
<v Speaker 2>a different view on that. All right, what other news
<v Speaker 2>is going on here? There's a potential too, and that's
<v Speaker 2>still talk of Nia Jack's joining the Bloodline. I still
<v Speaker 2>say no to this too. The reason, well, one of
<v Speaker 2>the reasons Nia Jacks is for the first time in
<v Speaker 2>her career, doing something on her own that she doesn't
<v Speaker 2>need help with. She's doing something very significant on her own.
<v Speaker 2>I don't want her getting lost in the sauce in
<v Speaker 2>the bloodline. Yeah. I understand Samoan heritage, that's her family,
<v Speaker 2>on and on and on, but she had nothing to
<v Speaker 2>do with the og bloodline. Nothing. Now they could if
<v Speaker 2>they want to bring her in after Survivors series for
<v Speaker 2>some weird reason and have a one off with her, fine,
<v Speaker 2>But also, who is she gonna oppose? Is she gonna
<v Speaker 2>join them? Why would she join them again? You're gonna
<v Speaker 2>sacrifice the storyline that she's got going on with her
<v Speaker 2>w W Women's Championship, which she's doing a decent job with,
<v Speaker 2>because then when she becomes part of the blood Line,
<v Speaker 2>the bloodline storyline immediately overshadows and everything any and everything
<v Speaker 2>that you are currently doing. Also, again, as I just said,
<v Speaker 2>who is she gonna face? You have to have a
<v Speaker 2>female component on the other side. Who is that female
<v Speaker 2>component on the side of Solo so CoA, no one.
<v Speaker 2>So unless they're going to start pretending that the men
<v Speaker 2>have to bow down to the women and start competing
<v Speaker 2>with them and all all the like, which I highly
<v Speaker 2>highly reject. I mean with every fiber of my being.
<v Speaker 2>I think there's a horrible idea. But outside of that,
<v Speaker 2>you have to have a female component and if she
<v Speaker 2>joins the and here here's what I ultimately think. Okay,
<v Speaker 2>here's what I think with the bloodline story Jay, of course,
<v Speaker 2>as we all know, is coming back. He's the Intercontinental Champion,
<v Speaker 2>though they'll round it out with Sammy Zain, who has
<v Speaker 2>gone into hiding. I think he is in hiding for
<v Speaker 2>a purpose because he's about to be that final piece
<v Speaker 2>for Survivor series in six weeks for the Bloodline to
<v Speaker 2>take on Solo's bloodline. And yeah, we probably will see
<v Speaker 2>the Wise Man come back, and it'll be fun and
<v Speaker 2>it'll it'll be a moment and all the rest. But
<v Speaker 2>I don't think it's a long lived reunion. I think
<v Speaker 2>that that Survivor's series matchup that we all saw coming
<v Speaker 2>six months ago is going to be fun. It's going
<v Speaker 2>to be entertaining and win loser draw. I think it's
<v Speaker 2>a bit of a one off because almost every single
<v Speaker 2>one of those members, with the exception of Jimmy, have
<v Speaker 2>major storylines going on by themselves, or at least could
<v Speaker 2>sustain a major storyline by themselves. Sammy's ain just wrapped
<v Speaker 2>one up, but we know he's capable at any time
<v Speaker 2>of being able to maintain a large profile story and
<v Speaker 2>Jay presumably will still be presumably will still be Intercontinental
<v Speaker 2>Champion again I emphasized presumably because he could drop it
<v Speaker 2>before rejoining the Bloodline, but I would advise against it.
<v Speaker 2>And you have Roman, of course, who can just kind
<v Speaker 2>of do what he wants. He's literally W's number one guy.
<v Speaker 2>He could inject himself at anything at any point. And
<v Speaker 2>you also have the Rock coming back, right, So there's
<v Speaker 2>a lot here. There's a lot here, and I just
<v Speaker 2>don't think that since all of these men, with the
<v Speaker 2>exception of Jimmy, have really forged their own ways, that
<v Speaker 2>bringing them back together for a long period of time
<v Speaker 2>would really be beneficial for them because they've made success
<v Speaker 2>in the singles front, and that's ultimately where the largest
<v Speaker 2>amount of success is found is in the singles run.
<v Speaker 2>So they could go on for multiple months, But then
<v Speaker 2>it also begs the question of what about the brand split?
<v Speaker 2>How does that work now? Or they just don't care?
<v Speaker 2>And that seems to be the answer I'm getting all
<v Speaker 2>the time is they don't care. Brand split? Yeah, whatever,
<v Speaker 2>what brand split? So all right, just want to bring
<v Speaker 2>a little bit of news, a little bit of around
<v Speaker 2>the horn rumors that I've been hearing, and of course
<v Speaker 2>we could get into a lot more, a lot more stuff.
<v Speaker 2>There's a lot more stuff going on. I mean, some
<v Speaker 2>of the headlines here are Rakishi weighing in on Cody
<v Speaker 2>Rhoades as a babyface, and we have a lot of
<v Speaker 2>the reaction of John Moxley and his heel turn the
<v Speaker 2>other night. And I don't really watch AW, but the
<v Speaker 2>attack on Brian Danielson, I e Daniel Bryant all that
<v Speaker 2>I saw some of it, and I know that many
<v Speaker 2>of you do watch AW and from what I understand,
<v Speaker 2>it was fairly well received and more power to you.
