00:00:01 Speaker 1: Welcome to Reality the King. It's me Carlos King, the King of Reality TV and one of the most sought after executive producers in reality television with over ten years a production experience. Twice a week from Reality with the King, we'll sit down with my friends across the entertainment industry, recap our favorite reality shows and revisit unforgettable moments that we are still talking and tweeting about. 00:00:35 Speaker 2: Hey, rain drops. 00:00:36 Speaker 1: On today's episode Reality with the King, I am joined by very special guests. 00:00:40 Speaker 2: He's a friend of mine. 00:00:41 Speaker 1: I've been on his hugely successful podcast, and every time we're together we have a good time, just like we did at you know, just the party of the year, which is Kathy Hillton's holiday party. So give it up to Ryot Belly from the So Good Is Bad podcast? 00:00:59 Speaker 3: What is Uprates? 00:01:00 Speaker 2: What is up? King? 00:01:02 Speaker 3: I just listen you. I've gotta take I gotta take style tips from you. This man was all around Kathy Elton's party looking looking like a million bucks. I wasn't even paying attention to James Kennedy because I was trying to talk to Carlos And then I see the rest of the week you had like so many holiday part you had like a red suit number on that. I was like, damn, dude, leave a little for the rest of us. 00:01:22 Speaker 1: Carlos Scott Well Liz said, is not every day that I'm able to like, not record a podcast, not produce this show, not create shows, and not that stuff to really enjoy the fruits of my labor. So I was in Los Angeles this past week and I had such a great time. 00:01:41 Speaker 2: How fun was the Kathy Hilton party? Though? 00:01:43 Speaker 3: It was like rarefied air. I really thought I was dreaming. I thought this was this had to be AI watching Kathy sing with Lisa Barlow last. I mean, yeah, never in my wildest dreams did I think. I mean, all the Salt Lake City housewives were there. I was watching them in the wild and it was just it was incredible. 00:02:00 Speaker 1: It was incredible, No, it was it was. It was really really fun. I got a chance to meet a lot of the Salt Lake City girls who are super nice, and I had a great time. So then two days later I was also at a friend named Justin Sylvester. He's an amazing correspondent journalist on E News. He does Today's Show as well. He had a charitable holiday party that was hosted. 00:02:26 Speaker 2: By Erica Jane. Duranda Betley was there and was there, but. 00:02:35 Speaker 1: I miss Cole Rich just as my favorite housewife. But I will say this, riot, Erica Jane is a rain drop. She said, thank you so much for having my back yar podcast. 00:02:45 Speaker 2: I'm like, you listen to Reality with the King Erica. 00:02:48 Speaker 3: Well, she would not be thanking me for my podcast, but I'm so, I mean, listen, listen. I think Erica Jane actually is in a really sweet spot this year on Beverly Hills, and like she has actually become more empathetic as being a friend to Dureid and she all of a sudden is a shoulder to lean on. It's shoulder to cry on with. 00:03:07 Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, no, I love her, I love her. I love you. Erica Jane, thank you so much for your compliments. 00:03:12 Speaker 1: But honey, we have to get into what happened with James Kennedy. You and I both ran into him at the Kathy Hilton party. 00:03:22 Speaker 2: So there's lots of discuss there. 00:03:23 Speaker 1: But let me explain to the rain drops exactly what happened. So the night of Kathy Hilton's holiday party, James Kennedy was arrested for domestic violence, and according to a burd Bank Police daily arrest log, because we are journalist, Ryan, so we need to report nothing but the facts, okay. He an officer said that he made contact with the van the Punk Real Star and a woman inside the residents that evening, and the log entry for Kennedy's case is says the woman stated her boyfriend picked her up and threw her to the ground. As reported, James Kennedy was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery upon spouse slash co habit. So what we have learned though, is obviously James kennedy girlfriend Ali Luberg is the one that called the police, and she has since released a statement saying to everybody, thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support and for checking in on me. I'm okay and taking the time I need right now. I deeply appreciate all the kindness and respect for my privacy. 00:04:46 Speaker 2: During this time. Ryan, what do you make of all of this? 00:04:51 Speaker 3: Well, I mean, it's just really I mean, it's just very sad, and obviously we just want to make sure Ali is okay in all of this and that she has a strong support group. But it just really fascinating because we were there at that party with him, and you know, I was saying I was trying to think of things that I remembered or noticed, and I just say, he seemed really up, Like I was like, oh, this guy's pounding red bulls. Like I didn't really think anything of it. And I talked to Lauren Herbert, who works for Access Hollywood with the Housewives Nightcap podcast, and he had brushed by her on the red carpet and didn't stop to talk, so I was Then they had a conversation like halfway through the party where I was walking up and he was like, I'm sorry, what would I actually talk about? And she was like, well, you could talk about your sobriety, you could talk about your your residency in Vegas, and he was like, well, I don't know, I've got to go find Ali, and he was really kind of rude and brushed her off, and she was telling me the story and I was like, but at the same time, I kind of laughed at it because I was like, oh, that's DJ James Kennedy, the British like snobbery, and we were kind of laughing about it. This obviously not funny at all. I am still curious because you know, they don't mention Ali's name, they say the girlfriend, but also if a neighbor called, because that was the initial rumor that a neighbor had called. And but then when we got the Burbank police report, it said she stated that the boyfriend picked her up or James Kennedy and threw her to the ground. These are very serious charges. He still went ahead and performed his show in Milwaukee this weekend, but they are canceling what I understand, his Vegas residency has been taken down off the website, and I believe his Dallas promotoshop. 00:06:23 Speaker 2: Yeah, mine is that breaking news. 00:06:25 Speaker 1: So explain to the rangdops what happened with his residency. 00:06:29 Speaker 3: So I believe I'm trying to think of I don't know if it was live, but they have removed his residency from their website as of yesterday, and I believe the Dallas Komodo show has been canceled as well. But he went on as normal, and TMZ did an article yesterday with him performing, you know, pumping up the crowd, and then TMZ got him at Long Beach Airport arriving back in Los Angeles yesterday, but he just he he didn't say anything and just got in his, uh his ride to leave. So we have not had an official statement from James Kennedy at all, but it does look like shows are dropping in the new year. 00:07:05 Speaker 1: So what's interesting is we were at the same party and a friend of mine, and I'm stating this exclusively, a friend of mine had sort of a run in with James Kennedy that evening, allegedly, because you know, I alleged to put it out there, Allegedly, a friend of mine explained to me that allegedly James Kennedy like bumped him and brushed past him in a very aggressive way, and he didn't think anything of it, besides, that's just James Kennedy being James Kennedy, but said that his behavior was somebody that mimics what you were talking about Ryan on the Very Carpet. 00:07:47 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:07:48 Speaker 1: Yeah, and I saw him in listen. He his behavior was definitely one that you see on the show. And listen, I'm not saying I saw anything aggressed up. I did not see anything aggressive me either, but what I did see was somebody who does appeared to be a little bit moody. 00:08:09 Speaker 2: I'll say that where you know, he. 00:08:11 Speaker 1: Wasn't in the holiday spirits is what I'll say, Well, you know Carlos. 00:08:15 Speaker 3: And I also was like, well, you know, in my head, I was like that night, I was like, he's probably grumpy. You know, he's not Vanderpump rules OG's aren't coming back, so he probably doesn't have a lot to celebrate, even though I think his DJ career was flourishing. But I kind of just wrote those things off until I heard the news like a day and a half later, when it broke on Thursday morning, and then I was shocked. And then I was just trying to remember those little instances throughout the night. But I just remember him kind of running all around or like running over here, and I was having such a good time. I mean, listen the Salt Lake City ladies, I feel like they I was like, man, I'm watching characters right and left. So he was just another character that I've seen on that I've seen James Kennedy drunk in the past, Like I mean, I've seen eight years ago drunk James Kennedy. It wasn't that it was not him like being like I've seen him drunken, belligerent. I did not see that at all. He just seemed up and potentially a little annoyed. 00:09:09 Speaker 1: I would co sign that in terms of what I witnessed as well. What is unfortunate though Ryan is allegedly a lot of people close to production, even the cast, is saying that this behavior is familiar, that this is something that they aren't surprised by. 00:09:31 Speaker 2: Did you hear the same thing as well? 00:09:32 Speaker 3: Of course? I mean we obviously had Christian Doty reposting in her stories with the words finally at the TMZ article because he used to date Christian, and Christian's always kind of, you know, alleged or hinted at certain behaviors with James Kennedy as well as Rachel Levis. And my thought or my question to you, I was so curious just from a production angle, you know how wrangling these people with these personalities and these issues because you believe in them, you champion, and I know these people grow to love or already love the people that they're filming. But man, you have this history now that everybody goes back or even on the show you've seen, and it's just another example of this man potentially still being in a very dark place and harming others, allegedly or potentially. Yeah. 00:10:15 Speaker 1: I mean, that's the interesting thing because you know, when you are a cast member on a reality show and you know you have this reputation for being somewhat this aggressive. Again, all of this is alleged, because we haven't seen any of this ourselves, right, I believe, and you tell me if I'm wrong, Ryan, I believe that Ali is the first person to actually call the police and follow a police. 00:10:43 Speaker 2: Report in regards to him allegedly. 00:10:48 Speaker 1: You know, we have to say the word alleged allegedly physically slamming her down to the ground, which is, by the way, awful. Yeah, my boss and press go out to Ali and every woman who has experienced that. But listen, you also have to wonder too, similar to shots of Sunset not being back on the air, and you know the video that was released where you saw Mike. Listen, I have to say, allege you guys, because it's a legality situation. You saw the video, Ryan, where Mike allegedly was slamming down his girlfriend, and all of a sudden, shots of Sunset is not back on the air. You have to sometimes wonder is this part of the reason that the Pum Rules cast is not coming back. 00:11:35 Speaker 3: Well, you have to imagine that it becomes a giant headache at a certain point, you know, like you can only go so far down a road, and if you are dealing with like you know, obviously there's a fair amount of toxicity that already exists and that they can actually show. But it gets to a certain point and then when you throw like the sand of all situation, it really feels like it's run its course. And I don't think any of us would sign up to watch a season of James Kennedy defending d allegedly or any of these things. You know, I think it's a really hard and it's it's not twenty thirteen anymore. You know, you can't get away with Stacey slapping Christen Dodi on that one episode. You can't get away with with any court sort of physical behavior, and especially against a woman. There's a hard line stance that you have to take. And I would imagine if Bravo will have to completely distance themselves from him, because I at Leasa vander Pump just did an interview last week saying, well, I could see maybe James coming back for a little like a cameo with the ogs, and no. 00:12:35 Speaker 2: Longer that was that after the arrest, before they. 00:12:38 Speaker 3: Are before the arrest. Before. This was when she was doing the press tour for Pinkies in Vegas, she had mentioned, you know, maybe Schwartz or DJ James Kennedy could make a cameo. And I think at that point then that that's got to be out the window at this point. But he still has not made a statement, but he has hired his own lawyers. They say they are personally investigating as well, which is what lawyers, you know, do, And and you know, I think at the end of the day, I think everybody just wants to make sure Ali's okay. She seems like a really bright light. And I think we're all just sad because everybody's like, well, it makes us as an audience kind of question ourselves, like when you're rooting for somebody and then you're like, oh man, things things still don't seem like they're good. 00:13:19 Speaker 2: It doesn't, It doesn't, It doesn't. 00:13:20 Speaker 1: And speaking of Rachel, she also released a statement on her Instagram that stated the amount of times I convinced myself that the abuse I endure by James Kennedy was a misunderstanding is sickening. So James Lawyers, as you said, they stated that they are conducting their own investigation. So once again Ryan and I agree that obviously our thoughts in Presgralton Ali and any woman who has suffered through the hands of any type of abuse is uncalled for and it's not okay, and we both stand again against it. Child. We are just getting started. This is reality with the King, and I'm Carlos King. Let's get back into the show, shifting gears a bit to another than the Pun's real star is Tom Sandoval. 00:14:30 Speaker 3: Oh, make it stop. Make it stop with this man. He does not seem to like none of these God, this is what worries me. The women of vander Pump Rules. They got their s together a little bit way more than the guys. Like, how did we already get into another Tom Sandoval scandal before the end of twenty twenty four. 00:14:48 Speaker 1: It's just insane because listen, I think we were all just getting ourselves prepared for today's episode. And as the reality gospe upstairs would have it, Tom Sandoval, who who does can't seem to stay away from Tamz has been caught in another scandal, but this time it is allegedly with his girlfriend, and. 00:15:11 Speaker 2: We have the report. So Tom Santavalt went live recently. 00:15:17 Speaker 3: In Regardless last night for six minutes, and it was. 00:15:21 Speaker 1: So cryptic because well Ron explained to us exactly what was going on. 00:15:25 Speaker 2: Oh, it's weird to me watch so this. 00:15:27 Speaker 3: Is So it's like midnight last night. I'm trying to like unwind, prepare for reality with the King. It was gonna be a big day. And then all of a sudden, I start getting dms from people because I don't follow Victoria Lee Robinson, his girlfriend, and she has a private account, so all of a sudden I start getting screenshots and this is what she wrote. Wow, you guys were right. Tiger never changes its stripes dot dot dot. He loves the best friends. Apparently, I feel like a fool, completely heartbroken. So everybody's like, whoa because Tom Sandibal did his to like vander Pump rules trivia at City Winery this weekend or this past week, so obviously this is we all took this to mean he cheated with her best friend, you know, allegedly, or that's what we took it as they both unfollowed each other on Instagram, and then around six in the morning Eastern Standard time, Tom Sandibal went on live on ig live, smoking a cigarette, drinking a beer and he's like, listen, it's just crazy in very Tom Sandibal way. He didn't really He just dragged it out for six minutes, didn't really clarify anything, talked about getting her tickets to go see the nineties band Bush with Gavin Rossdale. He was like, dude, I got her backstage pathed with the whole thing, dude, and he's like smoking, Like, dude, I don't. I rarely smoke figarette, but it just crazy. And then all of a sudden he's like trying to explain the story and it's going nowhere. It's not explaining anything, and then the ig live goes dead and then this morning, or just a little bit ago, Victoria Lee Robinson wrote a new paragraph saying, I would like to sincerely apologize for my previous post. I had a true misjudgment in a situation Tom did not do anything. From my own personal trauma and experiences hearing false accusations about him all the time clouded my judgment and got the best of me. Please respect him and know he's actually been the most supportive partner. The internet can be harsh sometimes, and I'm learning how to block out the noise. 00:17:20 Speaker 2: Oh honey, the check was cleared, you know. I mean, girl, girl, listen, listen. 00:17:29 Speaker 1: This is the reason why I would never understand because. 00:17:32 Speaker 2: Ryan, are you married? 00:17:34 Speaker 1: No? 00:17:34 Speaker 3: Not yet? No? No? 00:17:36 Speaker 2: Do you have a girlfriend? Are you? 00:17:37 Speaker 3: Yes? Yes? Yes? Yeah, very close too. Yeah. 00:17:40 Speaker 2: Okay. The thing is this, I have relationships. 00:17:44 Speaker 1: I would never understand why a for one second that you have some sort of argument, lover's quarrel, whatever, and you immediately go to social media only to backtrack things. 00:18:00 Speaker 2: You put out there. Yeah, isn't it. 00:18:03 Speaker 1: We're gonna have a big bruther of cameras in your apartment for your condo and your rent at home, and there's. 00:18:08 Speaker 3: No Andy in a camera. And you're saying, I'm trying to stay away from the internet noise. You're creating the internet noise. She's the one creating the noise, and she's saying I'm trying to stay away from it. But they're acting like they're in high school. I don't know if they're auditioning for like a new reality show, but this is a mess, and it's it's extremely it's one of those other things of like, obviously there's trouble. I don't consider this paradise. But this man Schwartz and Sandy's is about to close by the end of the year. Vander pump Rules is done. He can't tour with his band anymore because I think the overhead is too long. And then every weekend it seems like they're in some sort of squabble. But she makes it public and we don't get a clarification from Tom because he can't really properly communicate, and so he kind of just rambles like I do until the ig drops out. 00:18:52 Speaker 1: You know, well, at least you ramble, you're making stiff Tom stand of all rambles does. 00:18:59 Speaker 2: Not make anything. 00:19:00 Speaker 1: But Ryan Tom had the audacity to say at the end of his live before it just cut off like a cliffhanger of a Salt Lake City episode, Tom said, big mistake, big mistake. 00:19:15 Speaker 2: So I took that ass like is that a threat? 00:19:19 Speaker 1: And then hours later the girlfriend apologizes it talks about what a great citizen he is, as if he was the one doing charity at Kathy Hilton's Christmas party, Like I don't know what's going on here. 00:19:34 Speaker 2: It's strange. 00:19:35 Speaker 3: But also in the same week that these devastating James Kennedy allegations come out, this happens like, I mean it really, I just I am scared that Tom might not have learned anything from these past couple of years and it seems like, I don't know, this seems like a toxic couple. From just an outsider's point of view, I have never seen them. I do not know them as a couple personally, but this is just this is high school stuffs behavior. How I mean, Carlos, if you were producing a show with them right now, is this something that you would be like, heck, yeah, good, like we can use this or would you stay away from this? 00:20:09 Speaker 2: Well that's a very good question. 00:20:10 Speaker 1: Listen, when it comes to the dynamics of relationships, you want to show the reality of it right when it gets too dark, where obviously someone's being slammed to the ground, like get out of here, like you don't want know parts of that. What is so cryptic about what Tom Sandoval and his girlfriend Victoria Lee Robinson have put out there? It is very strange. I mean, look, you you sort of like to see the inner workings of a relationship that appears to be a bit messy, but there is a fine line with how messy things can become. But that's the reason why I'm so thrown by this, because on one hand, it's sort of like, Okay, is Victoria allegedly trying to hop on the bandwagon of what happened with James Kennedy, right, Because like you said, it's so soon thereafter that incident that you're sort of like, well, what are you saying here? Like you said, Ryan, are you saying that he slept with your best best friend? Are you saying that he did something that he should be arrested for? But then to say he's a great guy, he's been there for. 00:21:25 Speaker 2: Me, leave him alone. 00:21:27 Speaker 1: It's like you brought us in the group chat girl, we want to take ourselves out of it. 00:21:31 Speaker 3: I feel like the little girl from the Exorcist. My head's just like flipping around because there's so much coming out from that relationship all the time, and it just seems I don't know what I'm curious about, though, is how do you well you were speaking about this conspiratorially. I hate that I've gotten so conspiratorially in these last couple of years covering Bravo, but it kind of does it to you. It's like I get the alien New Jersey drones. I can be conspiratorial about that, but but with these guys, like, is there an element of like, look at us, we're still dramatic, look at us there's good? Can't because this? Is there an element of this to it? Or is it just truly that they're toxic together? 00:22:09 Speaker 1: I think well, I think when it comes to James Kennedy, I think that's just toxic. 00:22:13 Speaker 2: Well that's different. Yeah, right right, that's totally aside. 00:22:16 Speaker 1: The thing with Tom Again, I would have to know the details specifically, because you just don't know what it is. It's one thing to have a toss of relationship, but how toxic is it? Is it the fact that you two just you know, you have an argument and you go on social media to, you know, give cryptic messages. Every relationship has its problems, every relationship. You may have an argument here or there, but there are a I'm sorry, there is a fine line though that you just cannot cross in terms of wondering if it's entertainment or not. So that's what's so interesting about this. But I will say this now, it may have been the best decision not to bring these people back. 00:23:03 Speaker 3: Carlos without a doubt. Could you imagine the headaches they're probably waking up and going, thank God, we're not about to go into production because I think it becomes a bridge too far, Like there's a healthy amount of toxicity that are on these shows. I think Salt Lake is doing a brilliant job this season. Beverly Hills. Obviously, we've had a snowball effect over these last couple of seasons that we're seeing resonate. But with vander pump Rules, it just seems like it's come to its end. And I worry about them as people, especially the men, because they have not seen to be able to grow at all. Think about it. We don't really know a bunch about Ariana's new boyfriend, and you know what, I love it. I love it. Go have a real relationship, go have like you know, we know Sheena and Brock, but we don't know Katie and her new boyfriend that she just announced lest I think that's refreshing and it means that they're probably going to have more successful relationships than the people that are out there monetizing throwing everything up on Instagram, continuing the fights even though the show doesn't exist. 00:23:57 Speaker 1: Agreed, agreed, Agree, And now that we know the original cast is not coming back, I just don't know what the future is for Tom Sandaval. I mean to be loves to bring us great movies, So maybe there's a to be opportunity for Sandoval. 00:24:16 Speaker 2: James Kennedy. His tour is allegedly canceled, so. 00:24:22 Speaker 3: We college, would you would you would you approach Tom Sandoval for a project down the line? 00:24:27 Speaker 1: This is the thing, and I'm gonna be very honest with you. He's such a whack of do And I mean that how I said he's a whack of do. He's such a whack of do that. 00:24:38 Speaker 2: Listen. 00:24:40 Speaker 1: Putting him on Traders made sense because he's an actual trader. He's a cheater or trader and an listened he's an asshole. 00:24:49 Speaker 3: Well, there's a there's an air of comic gold with Tom because he doesn't realize when he's being funny because he's so outlandish, and I think that serves for Traders and what it's all about. 00:25:00 Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not sure if I would be invested in following his real life. I just think he's such a ticking time bomb that you just don't want to get caught up in his mess. So my hope is this for these guys. I hope they get the help they need. Honestly, I really do you know, listen without. 00:25:19 Speaker 3: Law enforcement having to make sure they get the help they. 00:25:21 Speaker 1: Need, totally, totally, Because the thing is this, those guys were actual servers at a popular Los Angeles restaurant, and within a couple of years they are you know, their profile rays to being infamous at this point, right, And there is some sort of psychological change that happens to you when you literally are serving people and then you become a person where everyone's serving you. But you got to have the maturity and the discipline in order to understand what that thing does to you mentally. And I think mentally, not diagnosing them, I think mentally they in my opinion, need a break from the fame and really do some work. Because I'll tell you one person who's doing a good job at it, Mike from Jersey Shore. 00:26:14 Speaker 3: Yes, I talked to him last year for his book, and I was so impressed where he really seems to appreciate the life that he has built for himself, he's committed to his family, He's able to actually open up and tell, like, you know, how insane his addiction was during the show, and I think that kind of truth has seemed like it's set him free. I'll be really interested years from now, like I think right now it's so heated. I'm interested to see Sandoval a year from now, two years from now. And I always get scared because there's like a Boogie Nights element, like that movie with Sandoval, where like Mark Wahlberg's like at the top of his game and then all of a sudden, he's like in a studio making shitty music, doing like you know, like all sorts of alleged drugs. I just get nervous. I just want him to pull himself out of whatever vortex he's in and start like learning how to live a real life away from cameras. Like that's my best hope, all of them. 00:27:01 Speaker 2: Yeah, No, I think they need to stay with the camera. 00:27:04 Speaker 1: And the one person who I think need to always be in front of a camera is Tamra Judge. 00:27:11 Speaker 2: Oh I love look dude, she came on my show. 00:27:16 Speaker 3: She I will say, she played ball. She was like so ready, like even in my disagreements with her, she was like entertaining. She was able to argue like you have to. My audience gets upset at me because I've not softened on Tamra, but I've said she's an essential part of OC. You know, I said, you know, she goes too hard in the paint, and I do wonder how Tamra is in her real real life. But you've got to admit this season of OC was fantastic. 00:27:42 Speaker 1: H so good, so good, so good that the ratings increased by five percent from last season to this season. They announced it and Tamra just reposted the announcement and said her back hurts, and that's not because her husband Eddie did any thing in their cabin. It's oh hell, hey, it's because she is saying she carried the show on her back. Now, of course, anything Tamara does, she gets read of her filth on social media, and everybody said, well, if you're back hurt, honey, then Shannon needs these back surgery because she actually carry the show. So Ryan, I want to get your opinion. I agree with you one thousand percent. This past season that's just wrapped of the Real Housewives of Orange County was spectacular and it's rare that a season of eighteen years has gotten better and better for the past two seasons, which, honestly, let's be honest, it is because Tamara Judge did come back. However, a lot of people are saying, Tamara, last season, you carry the show, but this season it belonged to Shannon John Jensen. 00:28:56 Speaker 2: Let's talk about it. 00:28:57 Speaker 1: Let's talk about it because some may argue, Alexa, so give me your thoughts, my mind, because I'm gonna tell you my. 00:29:03 Speaker 2: And it may be unpopular. 00:29:05 Speaker 3: Well, okay, So first off, Tamar posted that as a complete troll, she knew she would upset people by like going, I'm tired of get on my back hurt's. Of course, that's classic Tamra. She knows it's going to upset people. I don't want them to make any changes to this cast. My question is, though, are they going to offer that to Alexis. We saw Alexis and mister Jansen at Kathy's holiday party the other nights, and I'm really curious. Like there was a point where I was like, I definitely want Alexis back. Then by the reunion, I was like, I don't know if we need this especially after Tamra men defences with Shannon. How do we do this logically and how do we incorporate her on storylines? Because I don't think we can have a wedding season without putting Shannon back in that dark hole. A wedding season with John Jansen. But I think they've got all the elements there, and these ladies are just let them cook, like Emily and Gina. Finally, I felt like really came together in terms of the audience reaction to them. But Hamra's going nowhere for anybody to like. That's what always like. As I get further into this, people are like, well, they need a fire Tamra. No, they don't. You need somebody like Tamra and what she represents on that show. Sometimes she's a little too egregious and like I said, hard in the paint, But man, you need that. It makes things happen, and you you need somebody that you can be enraged by at times. You need that and Tamra is so good at that. And I'm sitting there like yelling at my screen. You know, her going that hard on Shannon, But it made for a fantastic season and Shannon got through it. You know, Shannon rose above and we got to see her step into her power and her light, and I want her to continue that way. So I'm I'm really curious. But which, by the way, the Lexus Blino. I changed my opinion a little bit once you had your interview with John Jansen. I told you this. I thought it was a fantastic interview, and the show didn't highlight a lot of the things that you talked about on that interview. That gave a lot of things context. But by the end of the reunion I thought it was a really weird performance. Again, so I'm curious, what do you think? 00:31:04 Speaker 1: Yeah, well, thank you for that compliment. Ryan, I agree with you. Look, Tama Judge is a necessary evil. And no I'm not calling her evil because again I would never call a human being. 00:31:19 Speaker 3: That with full the quote, full quote right right right. 00:31:23 Speaker 2: Collins, we gotcha. Listen, she she's necessary. Without her on the show, it sucked. It just wasn't good. 00:31:34 Speaker 1: Anytime you produce a reality show, you need a villain, you need an antagonist. It is the it's one on one in producing reality television, and it's one on one and casting reality TV. You cannot have a reality show where everyone is just like Pollyanna. 00:31:53 Speaker 2: It's a boring show. 00:31:54 Speaker 1: Just like you can't have a scripted show or movie where everybody is likable. You need somebody that's sort of rubber feathers and you need somebody that the audience loves it hey or hate to love. And tamar Judge is that person when it comes to this season. Though my opinion is Tamra definitely helped carry the show. I would give the baton to Shannon and Alexis if I'm being completely honest, Really, I want to tell you why the thing is this. I was shocked, shocked, and I've been watching OC since day one, well maybe five. 00:32:35 Speaker 2: I was shocked. 00:32:36 Speaker 3: I was I was day one, by the way, I was the group that watched it first night when. 00:32:40 Speaker 2: It first Okay, I was like, what is this ship? I'm watching Desperate House? 00:32:44 Speaker 3: What is this? 00:32:45 Speaker 2: Yeah? Like where's Terry Hatcher? Like I'm not watching this? Okay. 00:32:50 Speaker 1: I was confused because again it was like one of my first reality ensembles. So but I got into it by episode five. However, I've been watching it since day five, and Shannon Badore surprised me in the season premiere when she approached Alexis and said, let's have the conversation, because that is not Shannon's behavior. As we know it's Shannon. She runs, literally, she runs away from every confrontation. So I appreciated that. I appreciated how she clocked in to the point where she was throwing Tamra. 00:33:25 Speaker 2: Under the under the bus. 00:33:26 Speaker 1: I liked the fact that she was exposing things, whether it was true or not, of what John was doing with the picture of her head being bled. 00:33:36 Speaker 2: It was, it was, it was. It was a lot to digest. 00:33:40 Speaker 1: But Shannon showed up, Alexis showed up in the first episode, and I just thought the Shannon and Alexis and John Janssen trifecta to me is what drove the season. 00:33:55 Speaker 2: And Tamra was definitely in the car. 00:33:58 Speaker 1: But if I have to put one person in the driver's sept I would give it to Shannon only because without Shannon, I don't think Alexis would have shine the way she did, nor would John. So you have to give it to Shannon, and I agree with you as well. 00:34:19 Speaker 2: Ryan. 00:34:19 Speaker 1: I don't think Alexis was given a chance, or maybe she was, I don't know, I don't know. 00:34:26 Speaker 3: Yeah, they might not have they might have had a lot of the actual peripheral scenes. 00:34:30 Speaker 1: Yeah, but I will say this Part three reunion, and I said this on my podcast. When they did that pickup scene after the reunion of the girls talking and whatever, I thought that I thought they were sending a very strong and loud message to Alexa and John that we're done here. 00:34:55 Speaker 3: I agree. But also that end scene was so interesting to me because it was almost like you felt this. You know, you always talk about force multipliers and things of that nature, and I you know, you saw Shannon and Heather really kind of going for Shannon in certain ways, and Heather questioning the photograph and all of that scene, the scene earlier in the season, and it almost felt like they were sitting on that information about John Jansen after the in night where he said he he did hear the accident. They were sitting on that for three weeks and it was so interesting. And if Shannon, if I was Shannon, I would still be a little like, wait, you waited three weeks, But it was interesting. It was like kissing the Ring at the end of The Godfather Part one with Albaccino, where they had to actually kind of bow to Shannon and Heather had have been like, I think you are an amazing mother and you've done this perfectly, And I was like, how like it all ended up showing up for Shannon. I like that you said you would give Shannon the driver's seats, but we want to make sure she's sober. We want to make sure she's sober in that driver's seats, right, And you are so sight suhery, But I love how you put it with the lexus though about out like alexis shine so bright, and I love how you put that because it reminds the audience of just because we dislike a character on a show doesn't mean that that doesn't mean that they're doing bad on a reality show. That means like we were able to joke about it, talk about it. She was you know, she she made things happen in a way that I don't even know if she was intending, but it gave us something to talk about and speculate about every. 00:36:24 Speaker 1: Week, And that to me is it is what makes a great reality star, is what we do when we're casting for a show. If you look at every single reality show, let's just talk about the Housewives franchise. Every franchise has someone that the audience hates to love or love to hate is by default on Potomac, is Giselle, on Beverly Haills, at least this season. 00:36:52 Speaker 2: Sadly, it's Kyle, you know which which I think. 00:36:59 Speaker 3: I think it's gonna get worse before it gets better for. 00:37:01 Speaker 2: Me too, and it makes me so sad because y'all know how much I love Kyle. She's my favorite housewife in the world. 00:37:06 Speaker 1: But dere is having a fantastic season, and I think, listen, I think the cast thought it would be Deres villain era and I don't. I think all of them are fucking shocked that Dart Kimsley is the fan favorite this season. 00:37:25 Speaker 2: And Salt Lake City, you know, you have your villains. By the way, I love. 00:37:30 Speaker 3: Brittany love you know, I col her Brittani, she spells her name. 00:37:36 Speaker 2: I think she's fantastic. 00:37:37 Speaker 1: But it goes to show you that at the end of the day, the Real Housewives of Orange County is great. I do agree with you don't fuck up the casting. However, I will say this, bring Teddy Mellacamp to the show, because that scandal she's living is insane. In the membrane and Ryan I have an update for you. I'm sure you saw the photo. 00:38:02 Speaker 2: Yah. 00:38:02 Speaker 1: So, as we all know, Teddy Mellercamp is divorced seeing her husband Edwin, and allegedly, allegedly it's because she had an affair with her horse trainer. 00:38:17 Speaker 2: Insert jokes there. I won't so Teddy did say, Okay, I will, I'll go ahead, Okay, okay. 00:38:24 Speaker 1: No, Teddy did say on her uber successful podcast Too Teas in a PA along with Tamer Judge, that she's not going to confirm or deny anything, and I said it is because she's waiting for Bravo to pay her to talk about it on the side of Horse County You Better Season, which I would love to see. But what happened recently is Teddy Mellacamp was pictured with her horse trainer amid affair scandal as they attend her daughter's equestrian competition. And if you look at the photo, the horse trainer and his teeth are in full form. 00:39:09 Speaker 3: Listen, this guy must have an amazing personality and really knows his way around a horse, because it's it can't I mean, but you know what I'm saying, Like this guy, I was just cudding up. No, but like, how erotic must horse riding be because like they allegedly have this affair like based around like they're the owning of the horse, you know, like because I believe it's Teddy's horse. But the picture this weekend, I was like, wow, to be photographed with him, you know, just weeks after these initial rumors. I'm waiting for this horse trainer to go live like Tom Sandoval's girlfriend on ig because didn't he just have a child with his I'm so confused in parts of this story, and also Carlos what I'm now. I'm I'm fully on board with Teddy coming back to Beverly Hills. And I know people sometimes are ticked that I say that, but she has now even said that she is living part time at Kyle Richards. How how much more perfect do you want it? How much more they're gonna be fighting over chemo sabby hats, They're gonna be fighting over like who's like single Kyle Richards and potentially single Teddy even if she's not with the horse trainer. I think now's the time. I mean, I don't know, I don't This is like a gift to Evolution Media and Alex Baskin like Merry Christmas, go capture this? 00:40:21 Speaker 2: No, I agree, I agree. Agree. 00:40:23 Speaker 1: Listen, we all know that unfortunately the Real housewisor Beverley Hills is there airing. 00:40:29 Speaker 2: They have not taped the reunion. 00:40:31 Speaker 1: They don't shoot the show or discuss any casting decisions until after the reunion airs, right, so that's a long time to sort of figure out what was going on with Teddy and this scandal. However, Teddy was living in the OC. I mean, she can take the drive. But the Real housewise of Orange County is about to film soon, so I think regardless, I want to see Teddy back on my screen. This affair scandal is so juicy. And listen, let's be very clear what made OC great this season is because we got the trifecta between Shannon Alexis and John Janssen. So to have an opportunity to see Teddy Mellencamp discuss her alleged affair in front of women like Gina and Shannon whose husband's cheated on them, right, it will be interesting to see how they handle Teddy. And because Tamra also doesn't like infidelity and affairs, will she have Teddy's back or will she have to tell Teddy like, girl, you're in the wrong. So that's the reason why I prefer her on Sea. I think when it comes to Billy Hills, unfortunately, those girls will only give Teddy so much commentary because they don't want her around them. 00:42:03 Speaker 3: But see Carlos, I always call it the Sandy from Grease effect. You want like Teddy to show up in leather pants or hair dune with a cigarette. Tell me about it, stud like, this is a new Teddy, This is a dangerous teddy. This is a teddy that's risking her family and her love life. And to me, that is interesting to see on Beverly Hills as well, because a lot of those ladies don't respect her. Sutton laughs at her what we've seen on the show. If she came back and maybe stepped into some sort of power, there is something interesting in that, at least for me as a viewer the OC. I'm warming up to it now that you're explaining it. But for me it would be Beverly Hills if at all, because I feel like they've got such a great dynamic right now. But I'm still wondering if alexisk is back, if that can hold another season of water without completely just spilling everywhere and just making it really completely toxic in a way that wouldn't work on the show. 00:42:56 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, And for me, honestly, I just think the story. I think the story has been told, if I'm being honest. When it comes to the Shannon of it all with Alexas, I think the story has been told. I would love to see Alexis do other things, but I also agree that. Look if OC and Beverly Hills were filming at the same time, I always said this, I prefer for Teddy Joe to be on Beverley Hills because Kyle Richards literally has no friends on that show. And I'm listen, guys, I'm being honest. I don't care get mad at me. Nobody on Beverly Hills Housewives this current season is Kyle's best friend. 00:43:35 Speaker 2: Okay, I'm not saying they're not friends. I'm saying best friend. 00:43:40 Speaker 1: And because Kyle is the force multiplier of that show, she's the face of it, I think it's only right that she gets a best friend. And I listen, I would love to see a scene with her and Teddy, like you said, in the house together Morgan stopping by them all like engaging in conversation. 00:43:59 Speaker 3: She won't even say more Morgan's name, she wouldn't say her name. And by the then we got those paparazzi photos of them hanging out with Lisa Rinna of all people, Lisa, Morgan and Kyle, and I was like, what is going on here? And would I ever allow my relationship with Morgan Wade, friendship or otherwise to be around Lisa Rinna, who I would like I always know, you know what I'm saying, Like she would then have have that information on Kyle in that personal relationship. But Kyle, you know, Dret's finally, you know, coming out with so much stuff and she's actually making sense and why she's hurt. And it's very interesting because I think, like I said, it's gonna get worse before it gets better. And I feel like Kyle is at some point going to be forced to open up and I don't know what that means essentially, but open up fully in a way that she hasn't before, just like we're seeing to reopen up in a different way than we've seen her open up before. And I sometimes wonder if this will be Kyle's last season and not because they would push her out, but because she would choose not to come back. And that's what I'm curious, because I'm just like, we're only four episodes in. Yeah, We're only four episodes in. 00:45:02 Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. 00:45:03 Speaker 1: And listen, I'm over the Derey versus Kyle at this point and I need something else to happen. 00:45:11 Speaker 3: Well, I mean, we're still getting it it. We just found out about Bose's relationship Sutton. 00:45:16 Speaker 2: Uh love. 00:45:18 Speaker 3: Love, Yes. But see that's what's exciting. We haven't seen Bose get into an argument yet. We haven't seen Bose get tipsy yet. We haven't seen Bose tell a secret behind somebody's back yet. There are so many things to explore with Bo's We already know we like her, but we haven't seen her in action. And you know, Sutton and Jennifer Tilly seem like they kind of like, you know, push each other in terms of like the insanity Erica Jane, you know, being this person that's all the sudden empathetic to other people on the show, which is still relatively a new role for her. And Kyle's the big question mark, like where does Kyle go as a character If she will not speak about Morgan if we have a half baked storyline about her potentially being jealous about Mauricio and buying sheets for his apartment, Like, what is actually happening in Kyle's life? 00:46:02 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, I'm with you, I'm with them, with you, so listen, real hoswas Beverly Hills is definitely still my favorite so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they're able to hopefully Ryan give us everything that you explain. 00:46:18 Speaker 2: But look, I thank you so much for stepping onto recals. Oh my god, it's over. 00:46:23 Speaker 3: Are you can't raindrops? Be kind to me, rayand thank you for allowing me to be here. I tell carl And by the way, Carlos cut this part out if you want. Carlos is one of those people that I He is truly one of my heroes in this game, and there is so much I don't listen to a lot of podcasts and uh because I try to stay away from copying other people's ideas, But like when I listen to Carlos's there's always something I learned, There's always something that makes me think in a different way because I don't share sometimes the same opinions that Carlos does.
