<v Speaker 3>You're telling to give your present to your secret Sannah,

<v Speaker 3>gift unless we reach a dead end.
<v Speaker 4>All right, question Zach has Yes, I.
<v Speaker 10>Thought the whole point of secret science was that you're

<v Speaker 5>Eventually this.
<v Speaker 11>Give the gift and you still wonder.
<v Speaker 5>That's the British version.

<v Speaker 1>with you? Just what's it from?
<v Speaker 5>Wha present?
<v Speaker 1>Embarrassing you search? They're gonna think I'm a weirdo and
<v Speaker 1>bring me in for search.
<v Speaker 13>But he's never left lax one of these that you've done.
<v Speaker 5>It's weird.
<v Speaker 13>This is this is perverted.
<v Speaker 1>Oh god, you're.
<v Speaker 5>Such a weird.
<v Speaker 2>And how he's handling this.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, no, Wolverine, awesome.
<v Speaker 6>If you're taking me the red solo cups, it's really composition.
<v Speaker 4>If you don't take this, I will. He's taking it home.
<v Speaker 1>I'm going to be offended.
<v Speaker 5>Yes, don't do that.
<v Speaker 4>You're ready to be offended.

<v Speaker 4>Yeah, approach the day off.
<v Speaker 5>Just no, you disappear.
<v Speaker 1>Dan needs a mic examined.
<v Speaker 13>This show it to the camera.
<v Speaker 4>Get down there the.
<v Speaker 1>Further examination. Who does that?
<v Speaker 4>You know it's a bowl.
<v Speaker 1>That's sick. We were at to smoke last night.
<v Speaker 6>I walk in, I'm like, that's a goku and immediately
<v Speaker 6>dance like it's fifteen dollars.
<v Speaker 5>So it's so okay.
<v Speaker 13>But you wait, in the back of his mind, I
<v Speaker 13>know how bulls were.
<v Speaker 4>Here's the problem that I had.
<v Speaker 1>This is lovely, it's a key chair. The problem I
<v Speaker 1>see with this is that there's rubber weight. Yeah to
<v Speaker 1>where fires it's.
<v Speaker 4>A microplastic between friends. Yes, true, it might be.
<v Speaker 1>This is really cool.
<v Speaker 4>Can you descrit it for the audio listeners.
<v Speaker 1>It's like a little rubber goku and young goku.
<v Speaker 5>I don't know the difference.
<v Speaker 7>And it's disguised as a goku, but it's a real
<v Speaker 7>it's a it's a bowl for smoking weed.
<v Speaker 6>And the boys head there's a little carb up in
<v Speaker 6>his hair.
<v Speaker 1>Is there a car? Oh, there is a car.
<v Speaker 2>Look at that?
<v Speaker 5>That is really cool?
<v Speaker 1>Like this might be the coolest thing you ever done.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think smoking weed is bad for you, but
<v Speaker 1>I'm just saying no.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, Jesus, you don't give a present though, Thank
<v Speaker 4>you buddy. So now I have to do it.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, all right, So am I just going to put
<v Speaker 5>it on the okay, because I got something for Sean.
<v Speaker 5>Close your eyes, Sean.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, six it's a six foot sub.
<v Speaker 5>Past this the shawn please okay, now stand up.
<v Speaker 4>Now you have to stand out.
<v Speaker 1>Closed down there.
<v Speaker 4>Ok we can.
<v Speaker 1>We can look at the president and then put it
<v Speaker 1>on the pedal.
<v Speaker 13>Yeah, that's that's kind of the whole idea.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, okay, okay, right, you're good.
<v Speaker 1>You get to hear what little.
<v Speaker 13>Stuff curving grad where you graduated.
<v Speaker 3>From, because he has you graduation.
<v Speaker 4>President damn.
<v Speaker 1>I first college.
<v Speaker 4>I dropped out a long game of the year.
<v Speaker 8>There you go about Johnning, Giant boone would be finished.
<v Speaker 4>Here around here.
<v Speaker 13>I like it.
<v Speaker 2>Thank you, thank you, was.
<v Speaker 3>Done my turn.
<v Speaker 4>So far the circle has been broken.
<v Speaker 2>It has not.
<v Speaker 4>About the change.
<v Speaker 2>Who gets this circle?
<v Speaker 4>Be on bro By Tam.
<v Speaker 3>Okay, let's go fifteen bucks. You know it's gonna be
<v Speaker 3>a little chance. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think I'd done good.
<v Speaker 3>I think you're I'm excited because I didn't just a passage.
<v Speaker 4>You're starting to worrybout it. I didn't get it in
<v Speaker 4>your bucket.
<v Speaker 2>I didn't just buy you something. I need you something.
<v Speaker 5>Oh I'm gonna.
<v Speaker 8>Get it out, Okay, looking at it.
<v Speaker 14>Oh.
<v Speaker 4>My god, it is a gang.
<v Speaker 1>That's incredible, the Lego Gang.
<v Speaker 2>There's a little stand in there too.
<v Speaker 1>The best Pokemon.
<v Speaker 5>This is fantastic. Genuinely believe.
<v Speaker 8>I just readid my desk and there's a spot for
<v Speaker 8>him right now.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, you could smoke out of him too.
<v Speaker 2>What's a little plastic?
<v Speaker 8>My present is for Jeffy Grub. Grub got back at
<v Speaker 8>the book, all right, so some explanation. Obviously, we all
<v Speaker 8>went to Nicky Necho, which means the kind of scope
<v Speaker 8>of what we can get texture wise is limited, so
<v Speaker 8>it might not fit. So this is a physical present
<v Speaker 8>and also potentially an emotional presence. You can either keep
<v Speaker 8>this for yourself and enjoy whatever it is, or you
<v Speaker 8>can create it as the gift of giving and give
<v Speaker 8>it to other people and potentially make them happy. So
<v Speaker 8>you're My gift to you is the ability to make
<v Speaker 8>happy for you. You gave the gift of gifting and
<v Speaker 8>also the most hypocritical gift I've ever bought.
<v Speaker 4>Oh oh, I have no idea.
<v Speaker 2>His face.
<v Speaker 4>His face is.
<v Speaker 1>It's a pacas and Pokemon cards.
<v Speaker 4>Christmas. I really got chills.
<v Speaker 1>That is what you did for me, so we broke
<v Speaker 1>the circle.
<v Speaker 11>Go to you, I guess jan.
<v Speaker 5>I'm kind of sad I didn't get you.
<v Speaker 13>Anything to take back.
<v Speaker 4>I have enough stuff please.
<v Speaker 1>That was awesome thing.
<v Speaker 3>So this is just like placeholder gift placeholder because I
<v Speaker 3>couldn't find something at the shop yesterday and the smoke
<v Speaker 3>shop was not open at nine am like they said.
<v Speaker 3>So I will add the fifteen allotted and maybe another
<v Speaker 3>fifteen because this person is an award winner.
<v Speaker 4>Thanks, I am taking this. I feel like this. I
<v Speaker 4>will take you they kind.
<v Speaker 1>Of know it was fine.
<v Speaker 4>That'd be sick if you did.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't.
<v Speaker 9>I thanks Jan getting really worried that my name.
<v Speaker 4>Was Okay, that means it's my turn. Yeah.
<v Speaker 12>I think I had the hardest person here. I don't
<v Speaker 12>know this person very well. We've never spoken before. I
<v Speaker 12>don't really know what this person likes. But they're into
<v Speaker 12>the kinds of things that they do in their free time,
<v Speaker 12>the things that they talk about.
<v Speaker 4>So I gotta get from Mike.
<v Speaker 1>I think.
<v Speaker 15>Such a media I just got it.
<v Speaker 9>Okay, let's se let's say it though.
<v Speaker 4>Mony. Yes, there's what of these like for you?
<v Speaker 9>Okay, Now, I'm not saying that there's one I'm gonna
<v Speaker 9>be most excited to get, but Scrooge McDuck is a
<v Speaker 9>possibility here, and that's my favorite Disney character. They're all
<v Speaker 9>gonna be good. They will all be good. But we
<v Speaker 9>got there's more. Oh well, I think it sounds are
<v Speaker 9>popping them.
<v Speaker 1>Pats in a good sound.
<v Speaker 13>Ash, Yes, could.
<v Speaker 2>He be.
<v Speaker 5>He's the of Disney.
<v Speaker 1>Wow, I wasn't because I walked there.
<v Speaker 4>It's like I would like this, I would like I
<v Speaker 4>had many options.
<v Speaker 8>I had, Lucy, thank you.
<v Speaker 14>Welcome was like plashing.
<v Speaker 11>She had the passag whose name wasn't I'm so excited.
<v Speaker 13>Today?
<v Speaker 4>Thing s yesterday you were like.
<v Speaker 5>Did you put your own name and there?
<v Speaker 8>And you went yeah the.
<v Speaker 4>Way he said it.
<v Speaker 10>Yeah that's weird, but you were doing the team whatever,
<v Speaker 10>just because so what the flat thing is that the
<v Speaker 10>second gift?
<v Speaker 4>Okay, okay, is the first.
<v Speaker 10>Gift because it's the worst one.
<v Speaker 13>Yeah, I got red face.
<v Speaker 4>Fantastic, but use this tonight headache?
<v Speaker 1>This one?
<v Speaker 11>Why do you think I picked this?
<v Speaker 4>Uh?
<v Speaker 2>I think this is just me. There we go.
<v Speaker 11>It's like a little collectible. It's like a blind box like.
<v Speaker 1>Kind of looks like a lot like.
<v Speaker 4>So much.
<v Speaker 10>Okay, okay, we were at a different shop because we
<v Speaker 10>were waiting for all of you, and I walked in
<v Speaker 10>and I picked it up and I was like, oh,
<v Speaker 10>that's it.
<v Speaker 1>Put it back down.
<v Speaker 11>No, I can't get the first thing I saw.
<v Speaker 1>I will get it.
<v Speaker 5>That's awesome, which is like, which red beanie.
<v Speaker 4>Are you going to get?
<v Speaker 1>All right, a pactable?
<v Speaker 2>Let's go seriously, look at this little guy.
<v Speaker 3>Looks like a tiny terry pose almost like that's cute.
<v Speaker 3>Wait wait, nothing better than a figure.
<v Speaker 5>Need more of those?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, tam.
<v Speaker 2>Did you see be a little stand supposed to hear bag?
<v Speaker 4>Oh yeah, we can we.
<v Speaker 1>Just circle back?
<v Speaker 5>Uh, how this motherfucker freaked out about his gifts?
<v Speaker 1>Can we just like talk about that?
<v Speaker 4>Where's the box?
<v Speaker 5>I wanted to protected?
<v Speaker 6>I was under the pressure you would have to take
<v Speaker 6>it home, and now just feels like I'm being cheated
<v Speaker 6>out of my pressure.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, you're taking I'm doing.
<v Speaker 5>What do you think is going to I'm unsure you
<v Speaker 5>know what's illegal and what isn't.
<v Speaker 4>Late and sex toys.
<v Speaker 1>A lot of stories about committing fraud and like like.
<v Speaker 6>Also, you could have an entire suitcase filled with dildo's
<v Speaker 6>and no one's going to stop you.
<v Speaker 4>Do you know sex toy is okay?
<v Speaker 13>That's that's wrong. Whack off with.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know She's all right?
<v Speaker 3>All right, Now that everyone feels great, let's all tear
<v Speaker 3>each other apart by telling choices suck. Let's get two
<v Speaker 3>Game of the Year the top ten. We're going to
<v Speaker 3>do it differently this year because Sean pointed it out.
<v Speaker 3>We like each other too much, right, we got to
<v Speaker 3>add some boof to this mix. And also, since we're
<v Speaker 3>not doing this in front of a live crowd or
<v Speaker 3>a live internet studio audience. We're not going to do Eurovision,
<v Speaker 3>so we're going to right going to get down and dirty.
<v Speaker 2>That was the big one. I was like a people
<v Speaker 2>kind of want see an old fashioned top ten, and
<v Speaker 2>you know we have the capacity to do it this year,
<v Speaker 2>so why not.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, So we're going to go around in a circle,
<v Speaker 3>one by one, name a game that's going to go
<v Speaker 3>on the list for now, and then we'll eventually start cutting.
<v Speaker 2>Would you say two three rounds by two and.
<v Speaker 6>A half round because we'll see how we start peter down.
<v Speaker 6>If people like don't have anything after two and a
<v Speaker 6>half rounds, then we'll figure it out. But you know,
<v Speaker 6>people have a couple are like actually have like three more.
<v Speaker 6>At that point we can just ram all on and
<v Speaker 6>Nikki is the arbiter of the I'm the computer.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, all right right, Jeff, you know what ladies first.
<v Speaker 11>Lucy James, Rise of the Golden Idol.
<v Speaker 5>Huh hm. So when we do this, like first one,
<v Speaker 5>is it like your is it like your dark Horse
<v Speaker 5>or it's like your whatever you want to.
<v Speaker 4>Make sure is on the list.
<v Speaker 2>However, you want to talk all this out, So I
<v Speaker 2>just want to talk about.
<v Speaker 1>Sukey for edit access. Wait haven't you been added?
<v Speaker 2>What do you do.
<v Speaker 4>This?
<v Speaker 6>Yeah, it says viewer by bad look at that all
<v Speaker 6>right now it's everyone.
<v Speaker 4>Should be an editor, youn not have to refresh.
<v Speaker 2>I love this little guy, Lucy. Look at him.
<v Speaker 7>It's like he's so he looks like he belongs and think, goodness,
<v Speaker 7>your goodness your what's the what do you.
<v Speaker 2>Have with him?
<v Speaker 10>The flat like I did, look for some coffee or something,
<v Speaker 10>but I appreciate damn mm hmm game.
<v Speaker 8>I was like just thinking about gango.
<v Speaker 9>I can see f k oh wow, Bold just like
<v Speaker 9>you metaphor Refontasia.
<v Speaker 4>Pick butta, I gotta find my list.
<v Speaker 16>Jeff Beckler, lore Line and Dan Wild bastards Wild, shut
<v Speaker 16>up what I'm kidding.
<v Speaker 4>We're already fighting. We're old Nikki. Whenever you're ready, you
<v Speaker 4>know what fucking I can do it.
<v Speaker 2>I can do what I want.
<v Speaker 4>You want content warning? Yeah?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah?
<v Speaker 8>Is it updating very slowly?
<v Speaker 4>Or is it just I think.
<v Speaker 1>We're updating the other dock instead?
<v Speaker 4>I can't tell. No, I'm doing both. Okay, let me
<v Speaker 4>get handle one.
<v Speaker 5>You're doing both of them?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah?
<v Speaker 3>Maybe I should just go all right, whose turn is
<v Speaker 3>it sean Persona three reload okay, Jennifer.
<v Speaker 4>Silent Hill too, It's a good choice.
<v Speaker 2>Jeff Greb.
<v Speaker 4>Let's go with Prince of Persia the Lost Crown, shall
<v Speaker 4>we do?
<v Speaker 2>Serpentuine Yeah, background, yeah, sure, let's see here.
<v Speaker 1>Well then Astrobot.
<v Speaker 3>Okay, okay, at a thousand X resists taken eight hold
<v Speaker 3>the fucking okay?
<v Speaker 2>Okay? Uh huh, because Prince of Persia is the longest
<v Speaker 2>time ever?
<v Speaker 4>What did you say?
<v Speaker 2>Teken eight.
<v Speaker 4>Subway surfers.
<v Speaker 17>To teck in eight one thousand X resist in my turn,
<v Speaker 17>give me, give me, Thank goodness.
<v Speaker 8>You're here.
<v Speaker 5>Sure you can have it.
<v Speaker 4>Many shoot adventures, check Ackler whenever you're ready, Animal Well,
<v Speaker 4>Final Fantasy, ZEVN Rebirth.
<v Speaker 8>Okay, we'll see how this one goes. I might have
<v Speaker 8>to define some rules, held and ring Shadow of the
<v Speaker 8>Wet to some rules.
<v Speaker 1>That's a video game, so it can go on again.
<v Speaker 2>No, it's not a video games an add on for
<v Speaker 2>a video.
<v Speaker 4>Are you tying it's not all right?
<v Speaker 2>I showed me where I can launch Shadow of the
<v Speaker 2>Archery on my Tonel game and jump right into it
<v Speaker 2>and experience the video game.
<v Speaker 4>I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>Why is it why is that a distinction that matters.
<v Speaker 2>Because it's an ad on to a video game, so
<v Speaker 2>we need to find this.
<v Speaker 1>But then you play as a video game, you play
<v Speaker 1>elden Ring.
<v Speaker 8>Are we are we deciding what is a video game
<v Speaker 8>or what is the best video game experience you had
<v Speaker 8>this year?
<v Speaker 1>This is the section worth having?
<v Speaker 8>Yeah, it's it's not like it's just trying to say
<v Speaker 8>what is the best video game experience that you can
<v Speaker 8>have this year's and that's words words.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, we doing that.
<v Speaker 8>But I'm like millions and millions of people elder Ring
<v Speaker 8>Shadow of the Trees viable, Like people have played elder
<v Speaker 8>Ring available out there, they could buy it, they could
<v Speaker 8>play some people could buy elder Ring now and decide, oh,
<v Speaker 8>I've heard this tree game is real good.
<v Speaker 5>I'm going to play it.
<v Speaker 8>See I get there. Ultimately, it's a game that was
<v Speaker 8>released this year and like going saying, oh this is
<v Speaker 8>it's not a game because it's not on a disc,
<v Speaker 8>or I can't put a disc in and have that
<v Speaker 8>version of it work, or a click and executable diminishes
<v Speaker 8>all the work that it's done. Are we saying that
<v Speaker 8>we if I don't have an executable, the developers that
<v Speaker 8>worked on that do not get recorded.
<v Speaker 2>So if I want.
<v Speaker 3>Unless no, no, I as someone who's look, I'm not
<v Speaker 3>an elder Ring guy, I'm actually asking here, can I
<v Speaker 3>just play Shall the Urgery right now, right here, right now?
<v Speaker 8>No, you ain't got no PC.
<v Speaker 2>If I had a machine that could theoretically play elden Ring,
<v Speaker 2>can I just play Show the Urgery and nothing else now?
<v Speaker 5>Not without playing elder Ring.
<v Speaker 2>That's what I do.
<v Speaker 5>What I'm saying is what I'm saying.
<v Speaker 1>I don't feel any if.
<v Speaker 8>If that's the thing, you're disqualified unless you can, unless
<v Speaker 8>you unless you can actively play it immediately. Yes, why
<v Speaker 8>should all the work and all the effort that goes
<v Speaker 8>into making that thing be disqualified from a list that
<v Speaker 8>is designed to recognize the effort and work of a
<v Speaker 8>video game experience created this year's it is like a
<v Speaker 8>arbitrary bullshit. It's a very annoying game. I think I'm
<v Speaker 8>just not saying you're it's an annoying.
<v Speaker 4>But I'm gonna want to have this conversation.
<v Speaker 8>So it's an annoying game of conversation that feels like
<v Speaker 8>it's designed to just get people balked.
<v Speaker 6>It's because, like games are going to the way we're
<v Speaker 6>going to ask access games going for it's going to change.
<v Speaker 6>The kids go play Roadblocks and they play a little
<v Speaker 6>game inside of Roadblocks, and that's a video game.
<v Speaker 4>It's a video game.
<v Speaker 1>If you can play, it's a video game. I don't
<v Speaker 1>care where it exists.
<v Speaker 3>Every year, we could dominate Fortnite for this, Yeah, because
<v Speaker 3>it becomes like a new game.
<v Speaker 5>I know someone that did Yeah, of course, and I.
<v Speaker 6>Think it's And I also think that's completely fine because
<v Speaker 6>it's like it's a video game and they had new
<v Speaker 6>stuff this year.
<v Speaker 1>It's like a fifty hour Like this is longer than
<v Speaker 1>most of the games on this list. There's so much
<v Speaker 1>that goes into this and it is pretty self contained too,
<v Speaker 1>Like yes, you have to launch it through Elden Ring,
<v Speaker 1>but like once you go into that an area, it's like, well,
<v Speaker 1>here's a whole new a whole new inside of Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, let's be.
<v Speaker 5>Honest, we were just doing this that Nikki can catch
<v Speaker 5>up typing out.
<v Speaker 3>I appreciate anything. This is tangential conversation. But it's also
<v Speaker 3>the same thing that I have with Haities two.
<v Speaker 1>It's a video I know, but.
<v Speaker 2>It's the thing of talking about the same video game,
<v Speaker 2>the same package, the same release from a developer multiple years.
<v Speaker 8>I have I have no issues. We've talked about Hades
<v Speaker 8>two for this year.
<v Speaker 3>I know, no, no, no, But the thing is, what
<v Speaker 3>if we all love Hades two when it's at one
<v Speaker 3>point oh, we just have to like agree how much
<v Speaker 3>we can talk about the because it is it is
<v Speaker 3>a single release. Like, if you want to discuss it
<v Speaker 3>for the merits that brings to the table, I'm totally
<v Speaker 3>cool with that. We just need to define it because
<v Speaker 3>just like with Haities two, I see it in the
<v Speaker 3>same boat. Where are we going to say, like this
<v Speaker 3>game is eligible for top ten on multiple years?
<v Speaker 1>It may just work, work got that way, and it's
<v Speaker 1>just not the end of the world.
<v Speaker 5>I mean like it's not like I feel like we
<v Speaker 5>get there.
<v Speaker 8>And if I had to predict it and we're playing
<v Speaker 8>one point oh and we're having a discussion, we would say,
<v Speaker 8>Hades was discussed last year. Is everything that has happened
<v Speaker 8>this year meaningfully different?
<v Speaker 5>Right enough? And if it is conversation reassessing you.
<v Speaker 2>That's what I'm getting at here?
<v Speaker 4>Is that? Okay?
<v Speaker 3>So then we just need to run the definition a
<v Speaker 3>little bit to say like best video games here, it's like, yeah,
<v Speaker 3>we're saying the best game of a year or whatever.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, exactly, that's what we're trying.
<v Speaker 8>The spirit, okay is and I think that's a lot
<v Speaker 8>of why it's so frustrating to see it. People just
<v Speaker 8>look at the words and they're like that it doesn't
<v Speaker 8>count because it's not. It wasn't a game releasehip.
<v Speaker 4>I just it's a video game I played this year.
<v Speaker 8>How how many millions of people play that game and
<v Speaker 8>talk so much about it? How many thousands of developers
<v Speaker 8>spend all that time and we're not like, you know,
<v Speaker 8>big time in the way that you know it's going
<v Speaker 8>to change their lives.
<v Speaker 5>But it still means there about it.
<v Speaker 8>People care, like some people will consume our content, and
<v Speaker 8>if we say, hey, this is one of the best
<v Speaker 8>games of the year, there's a decent chance a few
<v Speaker 8>people out there will go, I'm going to go and
<v Speaker 8>play this because jan Bomb said it was good. And
<v Speaker 8>to exclude a game like Eldon Ring or Hades just
<v Speaker 8>because it's a technicality, I feel like undermines everything that
<v Speaker 8>gaming is about.
<v Speaker 1>It's just less fun.
<v Speaker 2>And that's why I wind out the conversation because it
<v Speaker 2>is a fact. Shell the Archery is not a video
<v Speaker 2>game in the traditional but it's our list We do
<v Speaker 2>where hell we want if you guys feel passionately enough
<v Speaker 2>about it. We can't spand that definition. I just want
<v Speaker 2>on the record that we are doing that. And hey, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>that's awesome. Right, it sounds good.
<v Speaker 4>That's good. Yeah that works.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, cool, we got it out of the way there.
<v Speaker 11>Thank you, Indica.
<v Speaker 8>How is that? It's good?
<v Speaker 4>Thank you?
<v Speaker 5>Would I like Indica?
<v Speaker 13>Yeah?
<v Speaker 2>You love India.
<v Speaker 5>I've played the wrong ship this year.
<v Speaker 2>I think, uh Lucy one more. Let's go back.
<v Speaker 11>Let's go back one more time, Yami.
<v Speaker 5>Path of the Gardens.
<v Speaker 4>O know what you just said? So gone me cool
<v Speaker 4>and Riseth.
<v Speaker 8>God Batman alcome shadow? Oh yeah, I wrote my listens Batman, O,
<v Speaker 8>come night.
<v Speaker 2>We can put that on there.
<v Speaker 4>My key our that jewel of fairmore.
<v Speaker 8>M hm he just made that's not real again.
<v Speaker 5>Mullet mad Jack.
<v Speaker 3>Oh okay, Danny boy, whatever you're ready, I'm flying really fast.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, no, of course. Wait sorry, what did you say,
<v Speaker 4>mullet bullet mad Jack? Oh yeah, for sure, all right,
<v Speaker 4>we're typing on mullet mad Jack right now. We're waiting
<v Speaker 4>for Okay, okay, damn, and I'll fight for the little guy.
<v Speaker 1>Call of duty, black ops.
<v Speaker 12>I'm really y'all really gotta fucking come come on this
<v Speaker 12>journey with me.
<v Speaker 4>Everybody, Okay, and if the three of you.
<v Speaker 12>Fuck up, then I think we still have to maybe
<v Speaker 12>go our won't work, no pride. Sure, I'm going to
<v Speaker 12>say college football twenty five Okay, I think.
<v Speaker 4>I'll talk about it. Yeah, fair, I went to college.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah we did say one. You have a degree five
<v Speaker 4>and a half years of it.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, he went to college for five and a half years.
<v Speaker 4>You just gotta watch movies for a long time.
<v Speaker 11>I have that history, minor.
<v Speaker 1>I have that history minor.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah. I didn't actually watch the movie, but about that
<v Speaker 4>thing's overrated.
<v Speaker 3>Stellar Blade Stellar bla on there.
<v Speaker 4>Hard anyway, right.
<v Speaker 2>Uh, maybe we'll just get through this, just put on there.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah for sure. That's why I was gonna Jones.
<v Speaker 1>I was gonna say, Indiana Jones, there's fine.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, there you go, Uh, tactical breach Wizards.
<v Speaker 4>I'll do a tiny Terries turbo trip please.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, Okay, is there anything grub?
<v Speaker 4>Oh? I just did one. I did two actually, so
<v Speaker 4>we'll obvious was going.
<v Speaker 3>To say, is there anything that has already one a
<v Speaker 3>category that we also haven't Yeah, let's take a look here.
<v Speaker 1>So let's there's Hades two, is Haities two on there?
<v Speaker 6>Doesn't want okay? Yeah, Frost Punk two. That was one
<v Speaker 6>that I think we kind of gave it. It's it's
<v Speaker 6>oppressive games specifically.
<v Speaker 4>So well, yeah, I don't know if we.
<v Speaker 1>Do Ladies to Eat Super Steam will Heist two, Steam
<v Speaker 1>World Heists two. Yeah, there you go, UFO fifty. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>like a Dragon, infodant.
<v Speaker 11>Wealth, I have a couple.
<v Speaker 4>Or et.
<v Speaker 11>A Ranger was cute?
<v Speaker 4>Oh?
<v Speaker 11>I like the Ranger A lot still wakes the deep
<v Speaker 11>little Kitsy big city.
<v Speaker 5>Oh yeah, sorry, I'm not gonna allow that.
<v Speaker 11>Treasure. Oh yeah, it was Botany manor this year that
<v Speaker 11>was Great Tails of Zarazo, Children of the Sun. Yes,
<v Speaker 11>Suicide Squad killed Justice League?
<v Speaker 8>Yes?
<v Speaker 4>Oh yeah, no, wait sorry, what was the one that
<v Speaker 4>still wakes the deep?
<v Speaker 1>You children of the.
<v Speaker 5>Children of the Sun.
<v Speaker 11>It was Pepper Grinder as well.
<v Speaker 2>M hmmm mm hmm.
<v Speaker 9>Okay, do we want Persona three reload on there? I
<v Speaker 9>do want thousand yard Door on there. I don't think
<v Speaker 9>that's on there yet.
<v Speaker 5>Nikki I think you're missing.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, we'll get Yeah, it's okay.
<v Speaker 11>I liked Farewell North.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, because we can have a conversation.
<v Speaker 2>Marvel Rivals.
<v Speaker 4>Oh oh right, yeah ship.
<v Speaker 8>All right, Buck short Roulette.
<v Speaker 4>That game came out last year.
<v Speaker 8>I did it, It did It was out for a.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. Okay.
<v Speaker 3>Currently we're standing at forty eight games.
<v Speaker 5>Damn.
<v Speaker 2>Maybe we can do a soft cap at fifty.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, I just want to add more.
<v Speaker 3>We'll do that later after we start cutting the sun
<v Speaker 3>Hill on the Hills, on the Silent Hills on.
<v Speaker 11>There, tailor conseras on that twice.
<v Speaker 2>Mike. Should we do Son Show Generations?
<v Speaker 13>Oh?
<v Speaker 9>I mean, we don't have to just throw it talk
<v Speaker 9>about your song show generations, especially just because Sego is
<v Speaker 9>doing so good.
<v Speaker 2>I think there's some obvious ones that we can just
<v Speaker 2>talk about in serapiece and then it gets sure that's
<v Speaker 2>that's why we're doing that.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, I really need to do it for
<v Speaker 1>a compilation like Mars Capoy Mars cap.
<v Speaker 4>All right, all right, one more for me, Tetris Forever.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. I was gonna say, okay, thank you, Nikki.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, cap Calm Marvel versus carm.
<v Speaker 2>Fighting Collection.
<v Speaker 5>I feel like we should add this game.
<v Speaker 8>It's not one I personally want on there, but I
<v Speaker 8>know that if we don't add it or speak about it,
<v Speaker 8>there's going to be a lot of like we'll just
<v Speaker 8>set people black myth woukong.
<v Speaker 4>Oh I never played it? Yeah for sure?
<v Speaker 8>Okay, all right, I fell off hard on that game.
<v Speaker 8>I mean, yeah, I don't. I'm not a super fan
<v Speaker 8>of it. But if we're I think acknowledging it and
<v Speaker 8>saying like, hey, I didn't didn't work for any opinion,
<v Speaker 8>or like no one played it. Yeah, yeah, I didn't
<v Speaker 8>like it that much. Yeah, it wasn't on anyone.
<v Speaker 6>That's what I just nothing we could do about that, yeah, right,
<v Speaker 6>But if we didn't say something about it, then.
<v Speaker 3>My closest exposure was watching a video of Bailey get
<v Speaker 3>a concussion from a monkey.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah while playing this Dan.
<v Speaker 4>In this very room, Yes, on this couch.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, okay for sure?
<v Speaker 8>For shoot, is it?
<v Speaker 12>I read the whole all of them, and then if yeah,
<v Speaker 12>go for it. Nicky Rise of the Golden Idol, Legacy
<v Speaker 12>of Caine, Metaphory, Fantasio Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, Wild Bastards,
<v Speaker 12>Content Warning Persona three reload, Silent Hill two, Prince of Persia,

<v Speaker 4>go Mullet, mad.
<v Speaker 12>Jack, Call of Duty, Black Ops six, College Football twenty five, Balatro,
<v Speaker 12>Stellar Blade, Indiana Jones in the Great Circle, Tactical Breach, Wizards,
<v Speaker 12>Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip, Back to Back, Hard Words to Say,
<v Speaker 12>Haities two Hell Divers two Like a Dragon, Infinite Wealth,
<v Speaker 12>UFO fifty at Tay Still Wakes the Deep, Little Kittie,
<v Speaker 12>Big City, A Ranger, Another, Crabs, Treasure, Tales of Canzera, Zao,
<v Speaker 12>Suicide Squad, Killed the Justice League, Children of the Sun, Shadow,
<v Speaker 12>Sonic and Shadow Generations, Pepper Grinder, Paper, Mario one Thousand
<v Speaker 12>Year Door, Farewell North, The Legend of Zelda, Echoes of Wisdom,
<v Speaker 12>Tetris Forever, Marvel Rivals, Marvel Versus Capcom Fighting Collection, and
<v Speaker 12>Blackmith Wucon.
<v Speaker 4>Congratulations, You're all game, of the year. Yeah, all right,
<v Speaker 4>Space Marine two please?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, okay, I don't think we had TCG Pocket on
<v Speaker 3>there either, Pocket Monsters.
<v Speaker 2>I'll do a quick ad. Removed to because Zendless Zone zero,
<v Speaker 2>a game I was really really looking forward to. Love
<v Speaker 2>the style. That game is way too shell to be
<v Speaker 2>anywhere nearest list.
<v Speaker 1>On that note, I will say echo point Novode, just
<v Speaker 1>saying the name out loud, but it's.
<v Speaker 4>Not going to be anywhere. Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, have a fun time. But I really like it,
<v Speaker 2>but I'm not.
<v Speaker 3>Okay, now that we've thrown a bunch of stuff onto
<v Speaker 3>the list, is there anything you want to immediately remove
<v Speaker 3>from the list?
<v Speaker 18>Yeah?
<v Speaker 4>Can I talk about college football please, and so we
<v Speaker 4>can take it off.
<v Speaker 12>I don't think that there has been a game that
<v Speaker 12>has like broken out into the regular people, Like people
<v Speaker 12>who do not play video games were like, oh, it's
<v Speaker 12>time for me to go buy a PlayStation five.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's the best selling game of the year.
<v Speaker 6>Yeah, and that has not been something other than Call
<v Speaker 6>of Duty or Grand Theft Auto or a Rockstar game
<v Speaker 6>in decade decade.
<v Speaker 4>What college is the best selling game of the.
<v Speaker 5>Year, the best selling the United States in college football sports?
<v Speaker 5>College football twenty five am.
<v Speaker 1>It's really We've got a physical therapist I've seen for
<v Speaker 1>a couple of year, and like he knows what I do,
<v Speaker 1>and he never asked anything about video games, and then
<v Speaker 1>he just excitedly told me a couple months he was like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>I'm good at PS five college football like that absolutely, it's.
<v Speaker 15>A mainstream what you remember when it came out, we
<v Speaker 15>were like, we should totally like do a whole season. Yeah,
<v Speaker 15>we know what you're saying, Like we should do something
<v Speaker 15>with it, because the same thing happened to me, like
<v Speaker 15>on my normy friends.
<v Speaker 5>Really, oh yeah I care, I care again.
<v Speaker 12>Yeah, And I think like, as a return to this franchise,
<v Speaker 12>I think they did a lot of things right. I
<v Speaker 12>think there's a lot of stuff that is not right,
<v Speaker 12>but that is endemic not to the game or that team,
<v Speaker 12>but it is endemic to the fact that they have
<v Speaker 12>to make a video game using a football video game
<v Speaker 12>in Frostbite. Still, but I don't think that there is
<v Speaker 12>a team that does presentation in a sports game better
<v Speaker 12>than EA Sports, especially in this college football situation.
<v Speaker 4>So great, great game, great return to form.
<v Speaker 12>Hopefully next year the football is better in it, But
<v Speaker 12>does wanted to talk about it because I do think
<v Speaker 12>it was huge.
<v Speaker 2>It was it was just big.
<v Speaker 3>I want to nominate something and then immediately take it
<v Speaker 3>down because we didn't add it to the little list.
<v Speaker 2>Can we call the little littler list the spoon?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, thank you, thank you for reminding me until then.
<v Speaker 3>It was a visual novel game made from folks in
<v Speaker 3>the Philippines, a lot of imagery straight.
<v Speaker 4>From the islands. Made me feel like I was back home.
<v Speaker 3>Uh, definitely a year where I played a lot of
<v Speaker 3>games that have made me have an existential and emotional crisis.
<v Speaker 2>So that was fun. It was cool.
<v Speaker 3>I don't think it has enough juice to make it
<v Speaker 3>onto everything. I just wanted to shout it out.
<v Speaker 2>It has been.
<v Speaker 6>Shouted, all right, should we go Do we want to
<v Speaker 6>go around in order and take stuff off or a
<v Speaker 6>challenge to be taken off?
<v Speaker 4>Or do we want to like maybe because we have a.
<v Speaker 6>Big list and then we have a space here where
<v Speaker 6>get start maybe in like here's once a week on locks.
<v Speaker 2>Does anyone does anyone have some that they added that
<v Speaker 2>they just want to talk about? And yes, yeah, I
<v Speaker 2>think we should do.
<v Speaker 8>That because you are more familiar with what you take
<v Speaker 8>them down.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I think we can take out black myth will
<v Speaker 3>call Yeah for sure.
<v Speaker 9>Yeah, you know, I want to add Mars's Captain Fighting
<v Speaker 9>collection because it is such a good collection.
<v Speaker 4>I'm so happy with that. Ultimately, it's a it's a collection, right, yeah,
<v Speaker 4>so you know I do.
<v Speaker 9>I would rather give a shout out to original Games here,
<v Speaker 9>but still, I was so happy with that.
<v Speaker 4>It is something I played a ton of. Really glad
<v Speaker 4>we got it.
<v Speaker 11>I was joking about adding Suicide Squad what I've.
<v Speaker 12>Already moved that to the column I've called locked Spoon Lockspoon,
<v Speaker 12>but I can take it off.
<v Speaker 2>If you would like.
<v Speaker 1>Make Spoon the lockspoon, we could. We could make that
<v Speaker 1>like the final over there.
<v Speaker 2>Speaking of collections, Pokemon TCG Pocket is more of a
<v Speaker 2>collection app, and I think it suffers because of it,
<v Speaker 2>definitely that That's why a lot of people love it.
<v Speaker 2>They like opening the pack and seeing what they got.
<v Speaker 2>The actual playing the game in there is dimish. I
<v Speaker 2>think I'm not a fan of some of the things
<v Speaker 2>they did to simplify the card game. I think it
<v Speaker 2>suffers because of it. So it's it's a fun time.
<v Speaker 2>It's something that's sort of like a daily routine thing
<v Speaker 2>for a lot of us. But I don't think it
<v Speaker 2>belongs almost. I think the problem with simplifying.
<v Speaker 3>It they still haven't figured out how to make the matches.
<v Speaker 4>Small or shorter. No, they're so like actually frustratingly long.
<v Speaker 2>They are so much shorter than Sanity.
<v Speaker 4>C No, for sure, and I still think they're too long.
<v Speaker 4>They're not short, yeah, exactly like. And also it's a
<v Speaker 4>really I do.
<v Speaker 3>Think that's I do think that's perception though, because you
<v Speaker 3>shouldn't compare it to Snap. You should compare it to Horrorstone,
<v Speaker 3>is what I think I see, and I think it
<v Speaker 3>is in the realm of a hearthstone. Sure, but again
<v Speaker 3>just yet, not for sure.
<v Speaker 11>Did anyone like Pacific Drive.
<v Speaker 4>I didn't like it.
<v Speaker 2>I didn't play enough of it.
<v Speaker 4>I want to for a minute.
<v Speaker 11>I'm glad you said it, though, give it a little mention.
<v Speaker 6>The Legend of Zelda Because of Wisdom is a game
<v Speaker 6>that really grew on me in a way that I
<v Speaker 6>didn't think it would. When I first started playing, it
<v Speaker 6>was like, I'm not sure. It's got a lot of
<v Speaker 6>cool stuff.
<v Speaker 2>I really like.
<v Speaker 6>When we were breaking it in a variety of ways,
<v Speaker 6>that's like my kind of stuff. It's not going to
<v Speaker 6>make this top ten. I don't even know if it's
<v Speaker 6>going to make my top ten.
<v Speaker 4>Either like ten or eleven on mine.
<v Speaker 1>I like the idea of, like, oh wow, we're doing
<v Speaker 1>a mainline Zelda game that is like willing to try
<v Speaker 1>something different with a different character, things like that, So
<v Speaker 1>I appreciate it.
<v Speaker 4>I'd like to see more stuff like it. But I
<v Speaker 4>don't think this one like not a strong idea game.
<v Speaker 8>I think it's a really good translation of the newfound
<v Speaker 8>freedom that they found with Breath of the World and
<v Speaker 8>Tears of the Kingdom into the other format of.
<v Speaker 5>The smart expression, very similar ideas. Yes, when you do
<v Speaker 5>you use that you have, it's like you're eleven or twelve?
<v Speaker 5>Is that what you said?
<v Speaker 4>A neither right now? It's probably like ten or eleven
<v Speaker 4>for me.
<v Speaker 5>How many games do you list a year for yourself?
<v Speaker 4>We do top ten lists.
<v Speaker 5>I understand, But you said, do you like do like
<v Speaker 5>twenty for yourself?
<v Speaker 1>He just wasn't like he's got as many games as
<v Speaker 1>you played?
<v Speaker 5>No, I understand.
<v Speaker 7>Oh yeah, I just wonder if like you have like
<v Speaker 7>your personal ranking of like everything you've played all year?
<v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, as I beat games. I put it on
<v Speaker 1>a dock and kind of shifting around as I play.
<v Speaker 7>Yeah, I was just asking I do that too, so yeah, yeah,
<v Speaker 7>I think people always just I'm looking for a way
<v Speaker 7>to make fun of you, but understandable.
<v Speaker 4>Why are you for the gift? I liked Ata.
<v Speaker 10>It's a very beautiful game about creating art in Montreal.
<v Speaker 10>I just don't think it's enough to stand in the
<v Speaker 10>dark ten.
<v Speaker 4>I agree, cool game, though we can remove tactical breach Wizard.
<v Speaker 3>No, it's a good game, though I don't think it's
<v Speaker 3>going to make it onto the spoon to top ten
<v Speaker 3>because it's such a packed year. It's definitely a high
<v Speaker 3>up on my personal top ten list. It's a very sharp,
<v Speaker 3>very smart tactics game, very witty. There's a specific quest
<v Speaker 3>where your healer. This is spoilers, but you've got this
<v Speaker 3>far so whatever, don't.
<v Speaker 2>Be mad.
<v Speaker 3>Where your healer character isn't really a healer. She can
<v Speaker 3>resurrect people by shooting them and killing them, so she
<v Speaker 3>goes on this sequence where to avoid the big bad
<v Speaker 3>she shoots herself, so she winds up in a limbo
<v Speaker 3>world where she has to constantly revive a dead version
<v Speaker 3>of herself. You just have to move her along the way.
<v Speaker 3>It's really smart. It's really cool.
<v Speaker 2>If you want the challenge of like a really tough
<v Speaker 2>tactics game, it.
<v Speaker 3>Gets up there. If you want to like pull back
<v Speaker 3>and skip all the story, just do the straight up missions.
<v Speaker 3>It's really good. Also, maybe we should have more tactical
<v Speaker 3>shooters with wizards.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, and that it was really cool.
<v Speaker 10>Yes, so you should defenestrate people more, always thinking, and
<v Speaker 10>I'll defenestrate tactical.
<v Speaker 1>Breach wizards out the window with you?
<v Speaker 4>Is anyone but me in two Wild Bastards.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't so what you liked about it? And I
<v Speaker 1>get there myself. Okay, I really really enjoyed it. That
<v Speaker 1>it was an excellent sceme back game and a real
<v Speaker 1>cool rogue light approach. But yeah, we can, we can
<v Speaker 1>take it off.
<v Speaker 2>That was a sequel, right, sequel.
<v Speaker 4>Too, Well, it's a spiritual suit. Yeah, I'm good to
<v Speaker 4>kill content warning.
<v Speaker 6>Also, I don't interesting like that does feel like a
<v Speaker 6>giant bomb number two?
<v Speaker 1>Okay, cute, so does tiny terries and you.
<v Speaker 13>I'm with you.
<v Speaker 4>I'm not right, so like okay, so let's let's let's.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, I'm so confident that they could be like top
<v Speaker 2>twenty that like doing it right now? Early?
<v Speaker 4>Great?
<v Speaker 2>It seems way too early.
<v Speaker 4>What a fun little I put my toe in the water,
<v Speaker 4>said no.
<v Speaker 5>No yet, Okay, I'm too cool.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, put out on the spoon, Nikki, Okay.
<v Speaker 11>I could lose Fowell North.
<v Speaker 10>I mean, I think it's a very sweet game game,
<v Speaker 10>but grief, I think the overall message is the.
<v Speaker 11>Thing that I took away from it rather than like
<v Speaker 11>the moment to moment for.
<v Speaker 4>Sure, but get a little dog play.
<v Speaker 2>That's the one with the border collie.
<v Speaker 4>Are we gonna?
<v Speaker 1>Are we gonna put hell Daverage two on the top ten?
<v Speaker 8>That's an interesting one because it is.
<v Speaker 2>It is.
<v Speaker 8>It's obviously a a very good quality game, like any
<v Speaker 8>one here going to be like I think it's I like.
<v Speaker 4>It a lot. I like not on my top ten.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if would be at my top I
<v Speaker 1>not on my top ten.
<v Speaker 2>These three are saying I was going to say I
<v Speaker 2>could see it there, but I wouldn't.
<v Speaker 8>Yeah, those are the three probably biggest advocates, and I
<v Speaker 8>really do And again, so it's not representative of us.
<v Speaker 1>It doesn't matter how you put it in the top
<v Speaker 1>three for games would like to stream.
<v Speaker 4>Maybe I think it didn't make it.
<v Speaker 5>No, I didn't make it.
<v Speaker 4>Maybe it's still really good, there's no way to know.
<v Speaker 2>I would like to move infinite wealth onto the spoon.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, or movie things in a spoon now, yeah, kind
<v Speaker 4>of how much? How many a spoon? Yeah, then the
<v Speaker 4>little spoon is getting cleared up. How much space in
<v Speaker 4>the next spoon, I'm sorry, we're gonna probably have around
<v Speaker 4>twenty ish.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, getting smaller, yeah, okay, still enough for a mouthful.
<v Speaker 11>I mean I was going to say things like, we
<v Speaker 11>don't know what the metre.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, Nikki moved over bilatro astrobot in metaphor should probably
<v Speaker 3>move over Indy in Indiana.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah. Yeah, we're going to have.
<v Speaker 1>A conversation and he's not going to get cut here now.
<v Speaker 2>No, I think we will be talking about File Fancy
<v Speaker 2>Sun a Red Birth.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, let's talk about it.
<v Speaker 9>It seems like Sean and I Sean really likes it
<v Speaker 9>and I really really like yeah, and then a lot
<v Speaker 9>of people are like until the end, right, I.
<v Speaker 13>Think I wouldn't say.
<v Speaker 8>I wouldn't say I liked it until a certain I
<v Speaker 8>would say, over the course of playing the entire game,
<v Speaker 8>flaws emerged continuously different parts of it, and it will
<v Speaker 8>culminated in a poorly paced ending.
<v Speaker 9>I would say for me, like I get where people
<v Speaker 9>are seeing flaws. None of that felt that way to me.
<v Speaker 9>I really enjoyed the pace of the game. I thought
<v Speaker 9>there was a good mix between these larger combat sections,
<v Speaker 9>the story focused section, and the goofs. And the goofs
<v Speaker 9>include things like the mini games and sometimes yeah, you
<v Speaker 9>have to do them, and that's this ten minute thing
<v Speaker 9>that you do, and it's kind of a fun, wucky.
<v Speaker 4>Thing, and I enjoyed that break.
<v Speaker 1>You know, the end is the end.
<v Speaker 9>It's more than anything, whether it's good or bad, it's
<v Speaker 9>a lot. And I think that's where it loses me
<v Speaker 9>a bit. It's always hard to have that at the
<v Speaker 9>end because that's the last impression you leave with people,
<v Speaker 9>so it becomes this big talking point. But for me,
<v Speaker 9>I kind of am able to put it to the
<v Speaker 9>side a little bit because it no issues with the ending. Yeah,
<v Speaker 9>it doesn't really match up like overall feelings of just
<v Speaker 9>how memorable and how much fun.
<v Speaker 4>Again, like that battle system is amazing.
<v Speaker 9>So freaking good. Each character has their own unique things
<v Speaker 9>going on there. They added a lot of depth to
<v Speaker 9>it with so many more playable characters. I care about
<v Speaker 9>Kate Sith now right, no one cared about Kate sifting
<v Speaker 9>the original voundin.
<v Speaker 2>Exactly.
<v Speaker 9>So yeah, that's just my you know, That's why it's
<v Speaker 9>one of my favorite for the year. But a lot
<v Speaker 9>of people don't feel that way.
<v Speaker 4>I think it makes it to the next spoon, That's
<v Speaker 4>what I'm saying.
<v Speaker 10>As someone who's never played the original, I found it
<v Speaker 10>Rebirth to be utterly tedious. I think it's one of
<v Speaker 10>the interests one of the worst paced games I've ever played.
<v Speaker 2>Do you mean that for main Quest too? Like the
<v Speaker 2>main storyline? Okay, interesting because I thought that was good,
<v Speaker 2>but you both over remake. I like to remake, but
<v Speaker 2>this one, oh yeah, remake.
<v Speaker 3>I like more than Rebirth personally because it is brisk, okay,
<v Speaker 3>But I think I do like reb.
<v Speaker 4>Before because I just love the expensiveness of it.
<v Speaker 9>I love that I am playing a JRPG, a game
<v Speaker 9>where I can actually wander around. Right, It's like the
<v Speaker 9>closest we got to actually translating a JRPG like Overworld
<v Speaker 9>into a real three D space.
<v Speaker 1>It's funny the overworld stuff in the mini games, like
<v Speaker 1>the stuff I hear people complain about, like, those are
<v Speaker 1>easily my favorite parts fit and that's what makes me
<v Speaker 1>like it more than Remake. And also there's more variety
<v Speaker 1>in just the environments than everything. I feel like Remake
<v Speaker 1>was all that midguar at night stuff, and I liked
<v Speaker 1>the openness.
<v Speaker 2>Of the same visuals and they go so it can
<v Speaker 2>get a little tiring.
<v Speaker 8>Yeah, I really liked the overworld stuff and like I
<v Speaker 8>thought it contextualized the menial, annoying over open world activities
<v Speaker 8>that everyone uses in all their games in an interesting
<v Speaker 8>way that made me care about and it feeds into
<v Speaker 8>the whole like live stream and connecting with the planet
<v Speaker 8>as well. I thought that was really really cool. And
<v Speaker 8>the mini games on them as they are, I don't
<v Speaker 8>have an issue with playing them. Sure, I have an
<v Speaker 8>issue with how they spread out when they're added, and
<v Speaker 8>the kind of where they're placed tonally is pretty.
<v Speaker 4>Poor for me.
<v Speaker 8>And then the fact that every part of it is modernized,
<v Speaker 8>which is really really cool. They looked at a game
<v Speaker 8>and they kind of took the the rough edges and
<v Speaker 8>smoothed them down to be modern and cool, except for
<v Speaker 8>forcing you to do these sections where I would think,
<v Speaker 8>like modern I it for me would be like, oh,
<v Speaker 8>let's figure out a way that people who don't want
<v Speaker 8>to get stuck, you know, doing these minigames can like
<v Speaker 8>get around it. And I understand that. I also like
<v Speaker 8>by doing that it potentially causes problems with characterization and
<v Speaker 8>relationship building and that kind of stuff. But there is
<v Speaker 8>a way to, like, I feel like lessen that stuff.
<v Speaker 8>And I feel like because of the pacing of it
<v Speaker 8>and the minigame stuff, and also like you know, even
<v Speaker 8>the bikini share, it's like you're watering down the experience
<v Speaker 8>as a whole. And that was the issue I had
<v Speaker 8>with it.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, that's fair. I think for a lot of what
<v Speaker 2>you would you were saying there, I think if you
<v Speaker 2>cut some of that stuff, it's not final Fancy seven anymore.
<v Speaker 5>I think it definitely is.
<v Speaker 8>I feel like that it is good at maintaining its
<v Speaker 8>personality and its spirit. I don't think it is crucial
<v Speaker 8>to you know, make people walk around these areas slowly
<v Speaker 8>picking up these certain like items to get everyone go
<v Speaker 8>in and then standing on a beach for a absurdly
<v Speaker 8>long time. That kind of stuff is like that that
<v Speaker 8>isn't that's not final offense. It's it's poor storytelling.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, there's some of that stuff that, Yeah, I agree
<v Speaker 3>with you, where the pacing could have been just.
<v Speaker 2>Picking up a little.
<v Speaker 6>I think this one stays in the little spoon and
<v Speaker 6>we get this out in the wash and that.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, so I think we have to have these conversations.
<v Speaker 4>So that's yeah, Tetris forever. I just want on.
<v Speaker 6>Like, I know we're kind of going back and forth
<v Speaker 6>and stuff, but I just say, I love this game.
<v Speaker 6>I've loved a lot of what Digital Eclipse, yes, Digital
<v Speaker 6>Clips has done where where they take these games turn
<v Speaker 6>them into little museums. There's some of their best stuff
<v Speaker 6>where it's like the history of the people that made
<v Speaker 6>Tetris and brought Tetries to the world, and you know,
<v Speaker 6>Mike Michael will then reprogram like one of these guys's
<v Speaker 6>first games has nothing to do with to do with Tetris,
<v Speaker 6>and they'll put it in the timeline and you get
<v Speaker 6>it in the context, so it's way more meaningful than
<v Speaker 6>if you were just to go find the rom somewhere
<v Speaker 6>and play it. And he does a great job recreating
<v Speaker 6>it as all though fun little features on top, it's excellent.
<v Speaker 6>It's probably the best one of these they've done, but
<v Speaker 6>I don't think it's going to have a chance of
<v Speaker 6>getting on the top ten.
<v Speaker 11>Sure, I would like to move Rise of the Golden
<v Speaker 11>Idol to Little Spoon.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah s got it, you got it, chefang it.
<v Speaker 8>Little Spoon is like twenty the next.
<v Speaker 2>Question, right, Yeah, top twenty ish maybe twenty also.
<v Speaker 11>Kind of in not really in that vein, but like,
<v Speaker 11>well in that vein, Larelei.
<v Speaker 10>But also I feel like there's gonna be fewer people
<v Speaker 10>arguing for Indica, and it's so good.
<v Speaker 5>I do like Indica.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I wound up checking it out because you you
<v Speaker 2>were glowing about it.
<v Speaker 5>It's very little Nuneah.
<v Speaker 6>I think when it's a situation like this, if it's
<v Speaker 6>like one person this this what's happened in the past
<v Speaker 6>is if you feel passionate enough, you can still get
<v Speaker 6>it on there.
<v Speaker 4>You have to be super passionate for the old Austin Walker. Yeah,
<v Speaker 4>the old Yes, in that I got thirty one.
<v Speaker 8>In the spirit of that, I would like to move
<v Speaker 8>Legacy of Canova.
<v Speaker 2>Sure.
<v Speaker 4>Wow, I don't think i've ever heard you talk about
<v Speaker 4>this one.
<v Speaker 5>Let me tell you about it.
<v Speaker 11>It's like I love Fields of Mystery, but it's it's
<v Speaker 11>only it's great.
<v Speaker 4>I like it a lot.
<v Speaker 11>They're adding a lot of big dates to it.
<v Speaker 10>I think it will be more in the running next
<v Speaker 10>year because like right now you can't even go to It's.
<v Speaker 1>Really good though.
<v Speaker 4>I just home Silent Hill to Astro moved and thank
<v Speaker 4>goodness you're here.
<v Speaker 5>Always some doubles double dip there.
<v Speaker 4>I've never done many shoot adventures.
<v Speaker 1>I would like Mini Shoot to be. I don't necessarily
<v Speaker 1>expect on top ten, but it's like my number five.
<v Speaker 9>It's going to be my top five, six, seven, Yeah,
<v Speaker 9>I love it, so I'd like to be like ten,
<v Speaker 9>but it will be on mine. Persona three reload that
<v Speaker 9>going over. That's you's favorite and I like it a lot.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 10>Duck Detective for Big Spoon, I like it so much.
<v Speaker 10>I think it's a really cute game.
<v Speaker 2>The Big Spoon Duck Detective.
<v Speaker 4>I don't think.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think.
<v Speaker 11>I put it in.
<v Speaker 9>Sorry, I personally would really like our z Jewel fairmore
<v Speaker 9>to move to the Big Spoon sure or Little Spoon.
<v Speaker 2>Sorry for now, at least now. I added this because
<v Speaker 2>I want I haven't had a chance to play it,
<v Speaker 2>and I hate that having because of why her about
<v Speaker 2>Mike tell me about Shower Generations.
<v Speaker 1>So Song Show Generations is actually very well done.
<v Speaker 2>Like it's that.
<v Speaker 9>It's a good remaster the Song Generations, which was definitely
<v Speaker 9>one of the better ones for that era.
<v Speaker 1>That Shadow campaign is actually really good.
<v Speaker 9>It's some of the best level design that they've ever
<v Speaker 9>done for three D Sonic like his like Shadows levels
<v Speaker 9>are more fun than Sonics are in that game. Now
<v Speaker 9>it's kind of made me like Shadow just a little
<v Speaker 9>bit for the first time ever.
<v Speaker 4>That's impressive. He's always had a gun in a motorcycle.
<v Speaker 4>You sunshine and rainbows both things individually not cool.
<v Speaker 1>Now it's pretty impressive. I don't know if it needs
<v Speaker 1>to go over.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, okay, does.
<v Speaker 4>Pepper Grinder make it into the Little Spoon.
<v Speaker 2>Like I played it?
<v Speaker 4>It's good, it's challenging. I like a little diversal stuff
<v Speaker 4>for sure.
<v Speaker 3>Oh Indica for Little Spoon, I think, yeah, yeah, we're
<v Speaker 3>almost a twenty other Little Spoon and then we'll reveal
<v Speaker 3>what is made.
<v Speaker 12>Over UFO fifty over. Can we talk about Marvel Rivals?
<v Speaker 3>Is?
<v Speaker 4>Oh? Sorry, go ahead?
<v Speaker 2>Oh no, no, I think in my short time with it.
<v Speaker 3>I've grown to really really enjoy it, and maybe it
<v Speaker 3>is like it's the honeymoon phase because it is a
<v Speaker 3>brand new game, so everyone else is also on the
<v Speaker 3>ground floor. But I think maybe it's not even appealing
<v Speaker 3>to like my Marvel pilled brain because I wind up
<v Speaker 3>enjoying characters I'm not super duper familiar with, Like I
<v Speaker 3>haven't really touched Captain America. I played a lot, even
<v Speaker 3>though it's one of my favorite comic book characters, Like
<v Speaker 3>I want to hang out with Jeff the Shark a lot.
<v Speaker 3>And then it's just like the abilities and how they synergize.
<v Speaker 3>They do that really well, and like the I really
<v Speaker 3>love being in the discovery zone right now. Of Like
<v Speaker 3>one game I was playing is Rocket Raccoon, and then
<v Speaker 3>I just like jumped in, like jumped onto a wall
<v Speaker 3>and realized.
<v Speaker 4>Like a wall crawl that was dope.
<v Speaker 3>Meanwhile, I see someone playing his iron Fist double jumping
<v Speaker 3>and then he completely whiffs it and jumps off the map.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it was great.
<v Speaker 8>Is Scarlet Spider in a classic Genji mind?
<v Speaker 2>I don't know if they have that skin. Yeah, I
<v Speaker 2>think we can move it.
<v Speaker 8>We can move it.
<v Speaker 12>It's a little shameless so okay, so that's exactly where
<v Speaker 12>I'm at. I think it's very good. My pushback is.
<v Speaker 4>That it is just Overwatch again.
<v Speaker 12>Yes, and the way that I feel is the way
<v Speaker 12>that I felt when I played Overwatch almost a decade,
<v Speaker 12>which is worth as good.
<v Speaker 4>Yes, which is great.
<v Speaker 1>I feel really good.
<v Speaker 2>I do think they remix it enough that doesn't feel
<v Speaker 2>like just a reskin.
<v Speaker 12>Sometimes I feel like I'm might as well just be
<v Speaker 12>playing Overwatch.
<v Speaker 8>I mean, also, it's worth pointing out that Overwatch was
<v Speaker 8>a a like Golden Egg. Yes, and to lay one
<v Speaker 8>of those is impossible. Deeply, it is not easy to
<v Speaker 8>find a make another chicken.
<v Speaker 2>You can do it.
<v Speaker 8>If they looked at that game and went, let's recreated
<v Speaker 8>enough to recreate that magic, that's pretty impressed.
<v Speaker 5>Absolutely.
<v Speaker 2>I like that. I mean they tried to make Overwatch too, Yeah.
<v Speaker 12>And they could write and I wouldn't say that this
<v Speaker 12>is better executed than Blizzard executed over.
<v Speaker 8>Their own too cool.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>Now that being said, as the person who added it
<v Speaker 3>to this point, I do think we could cut it
<v Speaker 3>here because I'm really liking it.
<v Speaker 2>I'm also not completely in love with in part because
<v Speaker 2>of what you just said. I do feel like I'm
<v Speaker 2>kind of just going back to open.
<v Speaker 6>It definitely feels like the one that's like most on
<v Speaker 6>the bubble at this pat Yeah, I have a less
<v Speaker 6>controversial probably shift anyways, with tech and aid right to
<v Speaker 6>go to go over that tech go over.
<v Speaker 4>The spoon's getting crowded.
<v Speaker 1>Called you because I want to about Batman.
<v Speaker 8>I would love to have Batman over there.
<v Speaker 4>I could take it on the animal Batman, Batman?
<v Speaker 3>Do you I think we need to start having these conversations?
<v Speaker 3>Do you think Batman makes top ten unlikely?
<v Speaker 5>Unlikely?
<v Speaker 2>But that I think maybe we talk about now and
<v Speaker 2>maybe it's.
<v Speaker 8>Yeah, like that's that's fine.
<v Speaker 6>Well, I think what we could do is let's read
<v Speaker 6>what we have in the Little Spoon and then read
<v Speaker 6>what's left over in the Big Spoon.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah for sure, Okay, Nikki, would you mind reading the
<v Speaker 3>little Yeah?
<v Speaker 4>Absolutely?
<v Speaker 12>On the Little Spoon, we have balatro Astrobot menaphor, ref Entausio,
<v Speaker 12>content warning like a Dragon, infinite wealth.
<v Speaker 4>Indiana Jones in The.
<v Speaker 12>Great Circle Final Fantasy seven Rebirth, Thank Goodness You're here.
<v Speaker 4>Rise of the Golden Idol, Legacy.
<v Speaker 12>Of Caine, Silent Hill two, Prince of Persia, The Lost
<v Speaker 12>Crown Ring, Shadow of the Urd Tree, Persona three Reload,
<v Speaker 12>Mini Shoot Adventures, Tiny Terries, Turbo Trip, Ufo fifty, Indica,
<v Speaker 12>are Zette, Jewela, Farymore one thousand Times, Resist and Call DDI,
<v Speaker 12>Black Ops six.
<v Speaker 2>Techn eight and tech In eight.
<v Speaker 4>Jeff Greb would you mind readyeah big spoon on it
<v Speaker 4>in the big spoon?
<v Speaker 6>Right now we have left Animal Well Kiditsugami, Path of
<v Speaker 6>the Goddess, Batman, Arkham, Shadow, Mullet, mad Jack, Stellar Blade,
<v Speaker 6>Hades two, SteamWorld Heist two Still wakes the Deep, Little Kitty,
<v Speaker 6>Big City Arranger, Tales of Canzera Zoo, Children of the Sun,
<v Speaker 6>Pepper Grinder, Paper, Mario, the thousand Year Door. I'm scrolling
<v Speaker 6>down just in case.
<v Speaker 4>I see Duck Detec Detective Yes, hanging out over there
<v Speaker 4>on his own.
<v Speaker 1>Yep, black quick quick.
<v Speaker 4>The things stand up to me. They are still in
<v Speaker 4>the Big Spoon.
<v Speaker 6>Mullet, mad Jack, maybe Steamwerl Heist two Hades two. I
<v Speaker 6>like Little Kitty, Big City, not going to try to
<v Speaker 6>move it over. Mike would probably want us to mention
<v Speaker 6>Paper thousand Years.
<v Speaker 2>I can make a cut right now, because I think
<v Speaker 2>I'm the only person I really loves Stellar Blade here okay.
<v Speaker 4>So, so anything you want to say about it.
<v Speaker 2>I think it is a great game. Again, like the
<v Speaker 2>review casts, I think it's an eight, a very very
<v Speaker 2>solid first attempt for this new IP. It is very
<v Speaker 2>reminiscent of some stuff that's done before, but I think
<v Speaker 2>they execute it on well. Does a lot of like
<v Speaker 2>the Bayonetta stuff of having these big set pieces set
<v Speaker 2>to cool music and stuff. But it does really feel
<v Speaker 2>like a good first entry and I really am looking
<v Speaker 2>forward to Stellar Blade two. I don't think Stellar Blade
<v Speaker 2>one makes sense and.
<v Speaker 12>I think, oh no, I was just going to say,
<v Speaker 12>I think it is really important to make note of
<v Speaker 12>you got to start somewhere so deeply you have to
<v Speaker 12>show somewhere, and like it is easier to rely on
<v Speaker 12>tropes when you are beginning because it allows you to
<v Speaker 12>get your footing so that you can end up the Yes.
<v Speaker 2>Sure, and they went from making, you know, like a
<v Speaker 2>gotcha mobile game to now making like a very very
<v Speaker 2>solid action game with like Soul's almost y Yeah, good
<v Speaker 2>solid first.
<v Speaker 3>I think we talked about it on the review cast,
<v Speaker 3>but I think I mentioned like this is one of
<v Speaker 3>those games where I am very excited to eventually see
<v Speaker 3>the second entry. Yes, also very unfortunate that this game
<v Speaker 3>got consumed by the fucking chuds of the internet.
<v Speaker 4>Ye go fun for blackmith go yea.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's that's the thing, Like it's not their game.
<v Speaker 2>It's not their game anymore, that's ours. So like a
<v Speaker 2>big Spoons game. Yep, that's right, Mike. You want to
<v Speaker 2>talk about bowsing your door?
<v Speaker 13>Yeah, gosh.
<v Speaker 9>I do just think it's incredible how well that holds up.
<v Speaker 9>And they did a very smart remastering Slash remake care
<v Speaker 9>they generally knew what needed touched up, and it wasn't
<v Speaker 9>much A lot of it really.
<v Speaker 4>Is more aesthetic things.
<v Speaker 9>I think the new music's great, but you can still
<v Speaker 9>listen to still do the old stuff, which it's fantastic.
<v Speaker 9>Just an amazing cast of characters. Shots like Vivian right,
<v Speaker 9>all sorts of these guys.
<v Speaker 4>Are super memorable.
<v Speaker 9>It, you know, And I know I'm like a big
<v Speaker 9>remake defender and last year was no for was my remake.
<v Speaker 9>But when you are more of a one to one
<v Speaker 9>remake like this, I feel a little bit less like
<v Speaker 9>really in a badge.
<v Speaker 2>Or rather, when you're more of a remaster, right, like this.
<v Speaker 9>Is like so yeah, and that you know, that's more
<v Speaker 9>of a gradient than a line remaster and remake anymore
<v Speaker 9>of these days. But it's in a certain spot there.
<v Speaker 9>So Yeah, that was Your Door was a fantastic game.
<v Speaker 9>I think it's an even better game now and that
<v Speaker 9>is great. I'm so glad that they did this project
<v Speaker 9>and this game is just now easily accessible forever doesn't
<v Speaker 9>necessarily have to move over.
<v Speaker 12>Yeah, there's on my own personal list of first party
<v Speaker 12>Nintendo games that I was like desperate, desperate, desperate for
<v Speaker 12>Nintendo to bring up to date for the switch, like
<v Speaker 12>bring it to the switch, thousand year Door in Windwaker.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, and when Thousing your Door got.
<v Speaker 12>Announced, I think it was earlier in the year, right
<v Speaker 12>when it was announced questions like that.
<v Speaker 1>Or late last year and then like this last year.
<v Speaker 12>Okay, but then the thing that was like interesting about
<v Speaker 12>it was that it was like they had three RPG beats, right,
<v Speaker 12>it was a thousand year Door and RPG and Brothership, right,
<v Speaker 12>and the one that they made twenty years ago is
<v Speaker 12>the one that hit the hardest, which I don't know,
<v Speaker 12>maybe make another one of.
<v Speaker 4>These, gang, Yeah, you're good, I'm good to take it off.
<v Speaker 2>I think I want to move Hades two to the
<v Speaker 2>Little Spoon.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, and it's the one that's yeah, yeah, yeah, like it.
<v Speaker 11>But it does feel like a weird given how highly
<v Speaker 11>mules both.
<v Speaker 1>Yes right and what about animal Well enough. I liked
<v Speaker 1>it a lot, and there were definitely some amazing aha moments,
<v Speaker 1>like at the disc when you realize, you know, like
<v Speaker 1>it's it's very cool. It nails that thing of like
<v Speaker 1>not really having to tell you a lot and super
<v Speaker 1>not holding your hand like cool in terms of like
<v Speaker 1>metro Venus and stuff. It is about one of the
<v Speaker 1>most open ones I've seen in forever, and not even
<v Speaker 1>being traditional like you know, someone running around with the
<v Speaker 1>gun shooting enemies type thing. I think it's it's worthy
<v Speaker 1>of a lot of praise. I didn't quite love it
<v Speaker 1>enough to do the like, you know, all the different
<v Speaker 1>endings and all that that'saw credits once and I was like,
<v Speaker 1>I feel satiated with that. Sure, So I don't think
<v Speaker 1>it goes to a little I agree.
<v Speaker 3>Is there anything else in the Big Spoon that still
<v Speaker 3>remains that people feel very strongly about to want to
<v Speaker 3>move over?
<v Speaker 10>There are just so many games in that I really enjoy,
<v Speaker 10>but I will put my bets on other horses, So
<v Speaker 10>I mean shout out to Kinisagami. Yeah, Little Key Big
<v Speaker 10>City and Duck Detective.
<v Speaker 6>Big City is also just a very good game that
<v Speaker 6>my kids are loving all the time that I enjoy
<v Speaker 6>helping them out with because I enjoy playing it.
<v Speaker 11>It's a game that my cats love.
<v Speaker 1>They just watched it just with me now.
<v Speaker 8>And Tales of Canzera Yeah.
<v Speaker 12>Yeah, absolutely beautiful, and another one where it's like a
<v Speaker 12>perfect video game.
<v Speaker 4>No, you got to start somewhere and it's great.
<v Speaker 1>It's a solid metro a venue.
<v Speaker 6>And then for me as someone who's like I come
<v Speaker 6>to these metro venues for a reason, I want to search,
<v Speaker 6>I want to get some action, and that's so solid.
<v Speaker 4>And then I was like, oh my god, I love
<v Speaker 4>this story.
<v Speaker 5>It was so it's got so much.
<v Speaker 4>It was so mony.
<v Speaker 8>Yes, you can see this seems give it more personality,
<v Speaker 8>right because you know this is the first game and
<v Speaker 8>this team who have not a lot of experience and
<v Speaker 8>they just wanted to well, especially Upbuboka, like he just
<v Speaker 8>desperately wanted to tell his story and he has a
<v Speaker 8>love of the medium. Yeah, and guys like against an
<v Speaker 8>against all odds story like we all wish that we
<v Speaker 8>have ideas that we could translate into the medium we love,
<v Speaker 8>but none of us have so a lot of us
<v Speaker 8>don't have the ability, the talent, or the resources to
<v Speaker 8>do that. And this feels like a sheer force of
<v Speaker 8>will game, like I made this happen, and it might
<v Speaker 8>not be amazing.
<v Speaker 5>To you, but I needed this to exist in this world.
<v Speaker 12>It's a piece of art, yeah, like legitimately, and actually
<v Speaker 12>so I think it is important.
<v Speaker 4>Two quick Children of the Sun was very cool.
<v Speaker 1>It's getting it looks like it's like stylish cyper verse
<v Speaker 1>and it's like a puzzle game, you know. It's really cool,
<v Speaker 1>and it's got very such a good gimmick. The whole
<v Speaker 1>game is this kind of one gimmick and then it
<v Speaker 1>kind of adds to things where it's like, oh, you
<v Speaker 1>can stop the bullet in mid air and turn around
<v Speaker 1>and redirect it and kind of gave me a little
<v Speaker 1>bit of that neon white, you know, kind of small
<v Speaker 1>trying to like, what's the word I'm looking for, Just
<v Speaker 1>optimize your route through it and everything. Really cool stuff,
<v Speaker 1>but I'm not gonna make it to the I think.
<v Speaker 5>That and Mullet mad Jack are the most like stylish.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, like just blew my eyeballs.
<v Speaker 3>If I had like the Soldier Boy category this year,
<v Speaker 3>think mullet Man Jack would definitely fit that.
<v Speaker 7>It's just so wild to see like such a very
<v Speaker 7>specific vision, Like like I look at that game and
<v Speaker 7>I only played it maybe for like three hours right
<v Speaker 7>before I was just like, I'm going to flop around
<v Speaker 7>the floor if it just just like you know that,
<v Speaker 7>like no sacrifices were made in that where you're just like,
<v Speaker 7>that's such a specific vision, really really cool. Those two
<v Speaker 7>games I think for me were like very important stylistically
<v Speaker 7>for sure.
<v Speaker 11>Sorry to bring up one more game, but Mouthwashing Gen.
<v Speaker 5>Mentioned it to him.
<v Speaker 2>The thing is, I just don't know how much.
<v Speaker 11>How much you can talk about it without.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, how much I can talk about it.
<v Speaker 3>There are portions of the game though, that were very
<v Speaker 3>frustrating where I almost wanted to put it down because
<v Speaker 3>I think they try and just make it too much
<v Speaker 3>into a game that it doesn't need to be. Like
<v Speaker 3>they had a very awkwardly paced stealth segment that didn't
<v Speaker 3>really need to be there.
<v Speaker 2>You could continue.
<v Speaker 3>I feel like they should have just stayed with the
<v Speaker 3>weird perspective of the story that they were trying to do.
<v Speaker 3>They also add a weapon later in the game, which
<v Speaker 3>was very frustrating and was another time I almost stopped
<v Speaker 3>playing the game completely. But I highly do recommend checking
<v Speaker 3>out Mouthwashing if you're looking for like more existential dread.
<v Speaker 3>If we had an existential dread category, I'd fill up
<v Speaker 3>everything on that list.
<v Speaker 10>I wanted to give a shout out to the Operator
<v Speaker 10>as well, which is a fun game and played over
<v Speaker 10>the summer.
<v Speaker 11>A couple hours long. You play as the man in
<v Speaker 11>the chair basically for.
<v Speaker 2>Like the FBI greb. Do you want to talk about
<v Speaker 2>that game that looked like Windows in eighty five?
<v Speaker 6>Oh yeah, yeah, Safety Home Hotline. Yeah, that was actually
<v Speaker 6>surprisingly interesting. I didn't get to play enough of it
<v Speaker 6>to put it on any list like this, but it
<v Speaker 6>was one that when you call in, you get all
<v Speaker 6>this like the normal things, ie, your house is infested
<v Speaker 6>with mice, let me help you out with that. And
<v Speaker 6>then eventually it opens up and starts having monsters, hob goblins,
<v Speaker 6>things like that, and it's very interesting to just like
<v Speaker 6>get the call and that's all the information you get,
<v Speaker 6>and they give like little keywords and they could be
<v Speaker 6>you know, positive keywords or negativecute keywords, and that if
<v Speaker 6>it's a positive, it means it's like going to positively
<v Speaker 6>identify something it could be and then some other stuff.
<v Speaker 6>It's like, but it's not like they're leaving droppings or something,
<v Speaker 6>so I don't know what it is. It's like, well
<v Speaker 6>then it can't be mice. It has to be something else. Oh,
<v Speaker 6>it is a hob goblin. It's one of these games
<v Speaker 6>you play in your head. It definitely fits in that
<v Speaker 6>category with with Duck Detective and Rise of the Golden Idol.
<v Speaker 6>It probably just just like if you like the vibes
<v Speaker 6>of it. It's Home Safety Hotline.
<v Speaker 5>Call it a process of elimination games.
<v Speaker 8>Yes, it's it's they're really satisfying.
<v Speaker 1>It's very satisfying.
<v Speaker 8>Yes, it's that was good.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 11>The operator gets you to do.
<v Speaker 10>Like you're running labs, you're running fingerprints, you're scrubbing through
<v Speaker 10>uh like CCTV camera footage to get suspects. It's really
<v Speaker 10>it's cool, it's tactile.
<v Speaker 11>It's fun.
<v Speaker 2>All right, Well, is it time to say goodbye to
<v Speaker 2>the Big Spoon?
<v Speaker 4>You can get it, Big Spoon, good night. Uh, maybe
<v Speaker 4>we start proposing eliminations where we can move a few.
<v Speaker 2>We have a we have three low clock loss for
<v Speaker 2>the next round. I think right, because the latro, Astrobot
<v Speaker 2>and Metaphor arem going anywhere.
<v Speaker 4>I think Indiana Jones isn't going anywhere.
<v Speaker 2>I don't.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think I think Britz of Persia's going anywhere.
<v Speaker 5>I agree.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, well, listen, if we just do ten right now,
<v Speaker 4>that we're good, we probably will probably do more than that.
<v Speaker 13>Is blood.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, let's any other for sures.
<v Speaker 8>I was going to say Sun and Hill too, is it?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah? I thought so.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, so I think we might need to discuss a
<v Speaker 2>small at Black Hop sucks.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's like my number three of.
<v Speaker 2>The It's very it's like top five for me as well.
<v Speaker 2>Oh okay, So I'm wondering how everyone else feels about it.
<v Speaker 4>I don't know if it will be my time. The multiplayer, Yeah,
<v Speaker 4>I think that's where it's really good.
<v Speaker 12>It's one of the best ones of these I've played.
<v Speaker 2>But also do a campaign and that's that's my lost right.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, I love what do you like more of the
<v Speaker 5>campaign and multiplayer?
<v Speaker 1>I'm normally a campaign guy, but this is the first
<v Speaker 1>one in a while that I got super Duper into
<v Speaker 1>the multiplayer I proceed for the first time. Preper did too.
<v Speaker 5>Really, thank you for your service, yeah yeah yeah, and
<v Speaker 5>that's my brain up.
<v Speaker 4>I don't do it for the compliments, right, yeah, you
<v Speaker 4>do it for the hardware. Thank you for the hardware.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. Like some of us here are hooked on this game,
<v Speaker 2>and that's that's not nothing like that.
<v Speaker 9>I am not a call of duty person really never was,
<v Speaker 9>even like that Prime three sixth year.
<v Speaker 4>I just played a bit.
<v Speaker 1>It's definitely the most I've been playing the multiplayer mode.
<v Speaker 4>I don't I mean, you're not a lock for the
<v Speaker 4>tiny snoll.
<v Speaker 1>That's not I want to say this though. I still
<v Speaker 1>think the game is hideous. I think it has some
<v Speaker 1>episode does look like like ever Yeah, yes.
<v Speaker 13>I think it was grounding.
<v Speaker 5>The fortnitification of it, like all that stuff.
<v Speaker 2>There's like goofy zombies as like.
<v Speaker 7>Excal like the way they try and cosmetic it up
<v Speaker 7>the way for like it's just selling skins, but it's
<v Speaker 7>all ugly and ship.
<v Speaker 1>I don't mind selling skins. I think that all the
<v Speaker 1>skins look very stupid, like literally this gross. I think
<v Speaker 1>they are stupid in a way that I made like
<v Speaker 1>I buy all the dumb Peter storm Ayer and now
<v Speaker 1>I got a raccoon. They're stupid.
<v Speaker 2>It's my favorite movie.
<v Speaker 5>There's one where it's like you're just like veins and bones,
<v Speaker 5>like it's yeah, very stupid.
<v Speaker 1>Is not a lock for the Tiny Spoons, Not for me?
<v Speaker 2>It was.
<v Speaker 1>I did not think it would be on my top
<v Speaker 1>ten this year and it's number three.
<v Speaker 2>Well, I don't are there any our locks?
<v Speaker 4>I think we're.
<v Speaker 9>When we all talked about thank goodness you're here, Yeah.
<v Speaker 11>Thank goodness?
<v Speaker 2>Is it?
<v Speaker 4>Is it weird for me to assume that Infinite World
<v Speaker 4>is also a lock.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think it's a lot. It's close, it could be,
<v Speaker 1>but like it might be in the Call Duty's own.
<v Speaker 6>Yeah, yeah's call duty and if it walth on here
<v Speaker 6>because these are the ones, we're going to definitely have conversations.
<v Speaker 4>Okay.
<v Speaker 8>I just think that them is the Tiny Spoon. I think,
<v Speaker 8>do you think that should be the mouth?
<v Speaker 2>Well to the mouth we need to put mouthwashing.
<v Speaker 5>And there's these others.
<v Speaker 8>I think the games that we want to discuss further.
<v Speaker 6>These are the games that we're trying to get to
<v Speaker 6>a top ten, very likely going to be in the
<v Speaker 6>top ten or conversation for the top ten.
<v Speaker 2>And then we can start whittling away at the little spook.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah haities two.
<v Speaker 9>Okay, so I am not like, I don't want to
<v Speaker 9>be like a big strickler about that whole early access
<v Speaker 9>saying I ultimately don't care too much, but boy like,
<v Speaker 9>why not just wait till the.
<v Speaker 4>Game And that's kind of where I'm at. I love
<v Speaker 4>it a lot, so he does not need to do.
<v Speaker 4>I think it would be it's.
<v Speaker 6>Really service one of the closest ever for an early accents.
<v Speaker 4>Yes, right, it's because it is. It is a full game.
<v Speaker 12>But I do think it will be a disservice to
<v Speaker 12>the other games that we are trying to get onto
<v Speaker 12>a top ten list to give it to a game
<v Speaker 12>that is deeply, by their own admission, not ready or
<v Speaker 12>done yet.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, I have no doubt it is great right now,
<v Speaker 1>but I do want to wait until it's at one point.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, I think this may be one of the games
<v Speaker 4>I've spent the most time.
<v Speaker 1>And when is it going to want? When is it
<v Speaker 1>gonna want?
<v Speaker 4>Sometime next year? Next year Switch To comes out. It
<v Speaker 4>is I think the best game that I'm going to
<v Speaker 4>be deleting off of this list.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, yeah, I think you're right.
<v Speaker 8>Is like a dragon on the next thing.
<v Speaker 4>Oh yeah, there's nothing's locked.
<v Speaker 2>Tice one is not locked.
<v Speaker 4>Nothing's binding.
<v Speaker 5>I feel like UFO fifty is. I didn't play it.
<v Speaker 5>I just know I can read the room here a
<v Speaker 5>little bit. I want to play it. I don't think
<v Speaker 5>enough of us have.
<v Speaker 4>Well.
<v Speaker 2>For me, it's more that I did play UFO fifty
<v Speaker 2>and I found like one game and then yeah, I
<v Speaker 2>was as incredibly impressive.
<v Speaker 1>I love the concept of it so much. It's like
<v Speaker 1>a ten out of ten concept for me playing through it.
<v Speaker 1>And I played all fifty games, not the completion, but
<v Speaker 1>like it played them all. There's maybe like five to
<v Speaker 1>ten that I was like, oh, yeah, these are good,
<v Speaker 1>and like maybe two or three where I was like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>I want to play a bunch of this one. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>So I think, yeah, concepts of ten out of ten.
<v Speaker 1>The games themselves ranged from you know, two.
<v Speaker 12>To eight, which is like that does kind of lead
<v Speaker 12>into the concept some of the games in the past
<v Speaker 12>use to fucking exactly.
<v Speaker 1>That's why the very first one when I grab Beat, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I like that that one suck because it's like I
<v Speaker 1>remember renting games based on box art and they sucked,
<v Speaker 1>and like it felt like an accurate portrayal like the eighties.
<v Speaker 2>You know. It's almost like with something like a Tetris Forever,
<v Speaker 2>where not every game that is included in there is
<v Speaker 2>going to hit, but the concept of what it is
<v Speaker 2>as experience is very fun. I would still recommend has like.
<v Speaker 4>Hattress and all that stuff. Yeah, this is just an
<v Speaker 4>interesting part of this history.
<v Speaker 2>You know.
<v Speaker 11>Yeah, where did Laura Lai go go?
<v Speaker 5>Where did she go?
<v Speaker 2>Oh? Mystery?
<v Speaker 4>All right, probably wrong, wrongly.
<v Speaker 11>Rise of the gold Il is Yeah, fantastic.
<v Speaker 2>I love it.
<v Speaker 4>It is okay, so well smart.
<v Speaker 11>It made me feel so smart up against everything else.
<v Speaker 11>It's like it's high on my list. I think it's
<v Speaker 11>sure three.
<v Speaker 10>It's like it's so many quality of life improvements to
<v Speaker 10>the first game, and it's continuation of that story.
<v Speaker 6>It's one that's like I love it. We did give
<v Speaker 6>like I feel like we gave the first game flowers.
<v Speaker 1>Dimly like yeah, yeah, yeah, but I really really loved it.
<v Speaker 6>And so it's like when I'm thinking about like the
<v Speaker 6>kind of slot that that's going to fit into, there
<v Speaker 6>are other games that I'm like, I'm more excited to
<v Speaker 6>push those on because people now know about right, so.
<v Speaker 8>People should be playing both of those games. And I
<v Speaker 8>didn't know until Lucy told me they are on phones.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah yeah, yeah, alright, and like that is.
<v Speaker 8>You should play these games.
<v Speaker 11>Yeah, they're really good.
<v Speaker 10>In the Indica as well is another one where I'll
<v Speaker 10>talk about it now because I don't.
<v Speaker 11>Think it's going to make it onto the Tiny Spoon.
<v Speaker 10>So Indika is a game where you play as a
<v Speaker 10>nun who literally has the Devil on her shoulder, who
<v Speaker 10>talks to you. It's a meta commentary about video games, gamification,
<v Speaker 10>about religion, oppressive governments and regimes, identity, identity.
<v Speaker 11>It's a really really interesting game.
<v Speaker 10>It's a wickedly funny game as well. You get into
<v Speaker 10>some really surreal situations with this devil with you know,
<v Speaker 10>there's one particular one of the very beginning where there's
<v Speaker 10>a nun and then she opens her mouth and all
<v Speaker 10>these little tiny nuns kind of spill out. There's kind
<v Speaker 10>of elements of horror in there. There's also I mean
<v Speaker 10>I'll put a content warning on there too. There's like
<v Speaker 10>depictions of some pretty.
<v Speaker 11>Rough stuff in there.
<v Speaker 10>I think it's one of the most interesting games I've
<v Speaker 10>played for years, very aware that it's not for everyone.
<v Speaker 10>There's I mean, there's a point in it at the
<v Speaker 10>very beginning where you're just getting you're filling stuff some
<v Speaker 10>water from a well. You're just going back and forwards,
<v Speaker 10>back and forward to it's super tedious, but you're doing
<v Speaker 10>it because someone in a position of authority told you to.
<v Speaker 10>And then when you do it, you get arbitrary points
<v Speaker 10>and those points that you put into.
<v Speaker 11>How religious you are.
<v Speaker 10>Basically you're leveling up your religion, and it's it's very funny.
<v Speaker 10>It has some really cool puzzles, but I think towards
<v Speaker 10>the end it kind of like some of the puzzles
<v Speaker 10>is just not that good.
<v Speaker 11>But overall just such an interesting game and I think
<v Speaker 11>more people should play it.
<v Speaker 8>A very David Lynch game in terms of like it's present,
<v Speaker 8>I'll be it will like transition into the scene and
<v Speaker 8>it's the most confusing, fucked up like a cinematic choice
<v Speaker 8>angle like and it's like you're like, what the.
<v Speaker 10>No one listens to me, so you put like there
<v Speaker 10>are puzzles where you basically pray to change the settings.
<v Speaker 5>You guys have to like nail me down and say
<v Speaker 5>you just listen to it exactly. Not about that.
<v Speaker 8>It's just like I need.
<v Speaker 19>I just need to be told sometimes yours. Yeah, I
<v Speaker 19>just need like you know, dress me right, like play,
<v Speaker 19>tell me what the player so Indica off off?
<v Speaker 11>Yeah, I just yeah again, there's just a lot of really.
<v Speaker 4>Good this year.
<v Speaker 9>As much as I love Fount Fantasy seven Rebirth, and
<v Speaker 9>I've talked about how much I love it, I may
<v Speaker 9>be getting the sense that it is not this group's
<v Speaker 9>top ten.
<v Speaker 5>It's not my cup of tea.
<v Speaker 8>I feel like Sean likes it enough that it shouldn't.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, I still I think we should talk about
<v Speaker 2>our games first, for cutting.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, yeah, because I was going to say, like I
<v Speaker 3>thought we'd be higher on Infinite Wealth, but it seems
<v Speaker 3>like it's around the same area.
<v Speaker 4>That I.
<v Speaker 3>Think Infinite Wealth has. You want to talk pacing issues, Yeah,
<v Speaker 3>that game.
<v Speaker 6>That got pack That game, oh yeah, is okay?
<v Speaker 2>Don't we say even more in that I fell off
<v Speaker 2>of the previous like a dragon because I was in
<v Speaker 2>a sewer for like an hour and a half and
<v Speaker 2>I was bored out of my mind. There are.
<v Speaker 4>It's a building the building site.
<v Speaker 6>Yeah, yeah, I don't know's I still think the game
<v Speaker 6>overcomes all that and is awesome because the characters in
<v Speaker 6>the setting and like didn't didn't dund Island.
<v Speaker 11>And Lovely Moment were visiting.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah right, all these characters with you.
<v Speaker 9>You know what turn based game is on this list
<v Speaker 9>that hasn't gotten moved over yet. It is persona three reload.
<v Speaker 9>I feel like that game has been overshadowed it because
<v Speaker 9>Metaphor came out and it's like that same studio and
<v Speaker 9>it's somewhat but personally reloaded.
<v Speaker 4>It's not the same studio technically the same publisher. Yeah yeah,
<v Speaker 4>real quick? Were we taking Rise of the Golden off? Yeah?
<v Speaker 11>Yeah, is just not putting it on the tiny spoon?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I got it.
<v Speaker 11>I got it, So leave it in the big spoon.
<v Speaker 4>So keeping yeah, just for.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, let's maybe maybe I'll bring up I think, grab
<v Speaker 1>a couple of bar babies. Here are mini shooting tiny terry?
<v Speaker 1>Do we feel like does anyone I think there's like
<v Speaker 1>I think three of us Mini shoot is like on
<v Speaker 1>the lower part of our lists, right like.
<v Speaker 4>My number ten? Yeah, I on mind really never mind.
<v Speaker 1>So I mean, yeah, I like a lot and I
<v Speaker 1>would be happy to seek go over.
<v Speaker 4>I'm not super attached to it.
<v Speaker 1>I would fight for Mini Shoot before Tiny Terry. I
<v Speaker 1>really like Tiny Terry almost is like a fun, novelty throwbag,
<v Speaker 1>you know, different take on that GTA open world style.
<v Speaker 1>But with Mini Shoot, I felt like within seconds of
<v Speaker 1>playing it, I had one of those like, oh shit,
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna love this feelings, like the way I do
<v Speaker 1>with like Vampire Survivor. It's like you can instantly grab
<v Speaker 1>the controller and be like, oh, I get it.
<v Speaker 2>I love this.
<v Speaker 4>You know, it's super fun.
<v Speaker 9>I wish it had a little more juice somewhere, like
<v Speaker 9>there's upgradation wise or like something aesthetically right.
<v Speaker 1>The aesthetic is not great. And then outside of like
<v Speaker 1>the upgrades, it's some pretty standard going around pressing buttons
<v Speaker 1>and stuff unlock parts of the map, dungeon like it.
<v Speaker 1>So I loved every second of playing that game.
<v Speaker 2>Percent of it.
<v Speaker 1>I think the realities neither of these games are gonna make.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, that seems list. I'd be fine with.
<v Speaker 6>Yeah, yeah, Tiny Terry, and I just people should go
<v Speaker 6>check out, like I said, three.
<v Speaker 20>Hours, Yeah, yeah, go ahead, Lucy Laura, I yeah, and
<v Speaker 20>the laser eyes it's such hard fucking cakes.
<v Speaker 5>I need to go back to you need a moleskin.
<v Speaker 2>But the thing is I love that.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, it's really like the last time I felt that
<v Speaker 3>I needed a moleskin to play game with.
<v Speaker 11>Not sponsored but.
<v Speaker 5>No, actually I'm not a fan of them, so for
<v Speaker 5>like calling notebooks, but there's.
<v Speaker 4>Was Tunic and Baba is you just like replaying those.
<v Speaker 3>My one knock against Loralai is not really on the game,
<v Speaker 3>but it's just how I approached it. It was near
<v Speaker 3>impossible to go back to it understanding something.
<v Speaker 5>I had to start it two times.
<v Speaker 8>Yeah, yeah, I fell off. I'm playing, but I had
<v Speaker 8>to do other things I wanted to carry on playing.
<v Speaker 8>And then I came back a few weeks later and
<v Speaker 8>I was like, I can either I have to restart,
<v Speaker 8>and I was just like, I cannot restart. I'm not
<v Speaker 8>doing all that over again.
<v Speaker 7>I think if they had really figured out a way
<v Speaker 7>to keep that, yeah, stay above water a little bit
<v Speaker 7>without sinking to the bottom, this would this, This will
<v Speaker 7>be on my top ten for sure.
<v Speaker 5>But yeah, I think, like, uh, what's that good game?
<v Speaker 8>Good?
<v Speaker 5>Good game?
<v Speaker 7>Love when you can show me a unique visual style
<v Speaker 7>that I've not seen before that is very uniquely that
<v Speaker 7>game and nothing else that's everything for Laura.
<v Speaker 1>Giving its flowers.
<v Speaker 4>Now, this is like.
<v Speaker 1>Laura di nic Yeah, and.
<v Speaker 5>Like fixt camera stuff, it's like sort of dead, but
<v Speaker 5>this kept it alive. And yeah, I'm I'm into it.
<v Speaker 6>Should we let's move that go? Maybe we want to
<v Speaker 6>go through the little spoon. Everyone say the game they
<v Speaker 6>want to.
<v Speaker 9>Click about to add something so annoying late, But did
<v Speaker 9>anyone else play Dragon Quest three HD two D I did?
<v Speaker 4>I did?
<v Speaker 1>Sorry, Oh that's okay. I freaking love it. It's fantastic.
<v Speaker 2>I have another time time.
<v Speaker 9>I think that is just one of the best ways
<v Speaker 9>to present an old school style JARPG.
<v Speaker 2>It's just such an amazing year for JPGs.
<v Speaker 1>Yes to me, it's one of my favorites though, and
<v Speaker 1>I'll find another way to talk about it.
<v Speaker 3>But oh, something that I totally got overlooked fucking Unicorn overlord.
<v Speaker 1>You know what, And I'll tell you what.
<v Speaker 9>I overlook it and I beat that game, yeah, the
<v Speaker 9>whole thing, and I somehow don't think about.
<v Speaker 2>It solid shank and it just didn't stick with me,
<v Speaker 2>which is weird because Willaware, you know, look at that game.
<v Speaker 2>It's pretty, but just so much about it just felt
<v Speaker 2>a little standard to me, So we have.
<v Speaker 8>A few transactions I'd like to make okay. I was
<v Speaker 8>going to say, make a withdrawal.
<v Speaker 5>Okay, can I see your card please? I was talking
<v Speaker 5>to the bank guy, not you fucking man in the
<v Speaker 5>line behind me.
<v Speaker 8>I'd like to withdraw sadly. Batman Rockham Shadow. I think
<v Speaker 8>that it is very, very very good as a VR game.
<v Speaker 8>It is one of the best implementations of a bunch
<v Speaker 8>of VR familiar VR mechanics but re imagined for Batman,
<v Speaker 8>and like that is the that is the spirit of
<v Speaker 8>what Rocksteady did, Like they created a game that was
<v Speaker 8>familiar parts of other things, but thought, how would we
<v Speaker 8>do this for Batman, and then put that together to
<v Speaker 8>make the greatest Batman trilogy ever created, may never be topped.
<v Speaker 8>And for Camouflage to come along and do basically the
<v Speaker 8>same thing again, it's like that capture lightning in a
<v Speaker 8>bottle second time, It's like it should be impossible. This
<v Speaker 8>is someone else's magic that you've rebottled, and for them
<v Speaker 8>to do it in a format that is completely different,
<v Speaker 8>and not to rag on it. I love the Batman
<v Speaker 8>Arkham origins, but the general consensus is they couldn't it's
<v Speaker 8>not as good as the Arkham games. And that is
<v Speaker 8>a format assets and a lot of design elements that
<v Speaker 8>are basically the same shared within the game that they're
<v Speaker 8>trying to you know, be a version of whereas the
<v Speaker 8>VR version is a completely different medium. It needs to
<v Speaker 8>be rethought in so many different ways. The fact that
<v Speaker 8>they pulled it off and it's so authentic, and I
<v Speaker 8>also love that they didn't go with like obvious storytelling choices.
<v Speaker 8>They leaned into the detective part of it. They put
<v Speaker 8>Matches Malone in there. They like did some real deep
<v Speaker 8>cut Batman shit, And that is the other part of
<v Speaker 8>it where it felt authentic because rock Steady cares about
<v Speaker 8>Batman and they care. They show they cared through the
<v Speaker 8>choices of characters, how they depicted them and like how
<v Speaker 8>they use them. And again that's something that Camouflage did,
<v Speaker 8>which is they know how to make a Batman game,
<v Speaker 8>but like rock Steady, they also know what makes a
<v Speaker 8>Batman game, which I think is super super cool. And yeah,
<v Speaker 8>to borrow the words of John Drake, iron Man walked
<v Speaker 8>so Batman could run. But like it's a hell of
<v Speaker 8>a hell of a game box and and that Camouflage
<v Speaker 8>it might not be on many lists, I mean won
<v Speaker 8>of the Game Awards. It might not be on many lists,
<v Speaker 8>but they should absolutely be proud of that achievement. As
<v Speaker 8>a Batman fan who like is very critical of Batman
<v Speaker 8>related stuff, I think that they should be super proud
<v Speaker 8>of it.
<v Speaker 2>Carrying VR this year, Yeah, it's giant bombs VR Game
<v Speaker 2>of It is.
<v Speaker 4>That was my withdrawal. I gotta say I've been winning
<v Speaker 4>in line. This is very.
<v Speaker 2>Yes.
<v Speaker 5>Usually usually there's not stories being tried.
<v Speaker 2>A down read the small life.
<v Speaker 8>I have two deposits i'd like to make.
<v Speaker 2>I like this.
<v Speaker 6>Maybe we could all pick the two that we want.
<v Speaker 6>I want to see there's a lot of common analogy.
<v Speaker 8>Okay, yeah, uh. These two deposits are entirely selfish. They're
<v Speaker 8>an uphill struggle.
<v Speaker 4>They're probably getting I want to hear them.
<v Speaker 2>Man.
<v Speaker 8>In both cases, I'm going to try my best to
<v Speaker 8>make them. And if I don't at least try, I
<v Speaker 8>think I'd regret and let down a bunch of people.
<v Speaker 5>And that's legacy of Kane and elder Ring.
<v Speaker 6>Oh my two are content warning warning and shadowed the
<v Speaker 6>ar tree we're going on.
<v Speaker 11>I was going to say, you shadow the Tree.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, I'm also going to say Shadow.
<v Speaker 5>Okay, okay, do you have another one to write?
<v Speaker 4>My other one would be taken eight Okay, okay.
<v Speaker 5>I didn't play Shadow of the or Tree, but I
<v Speaker 5>too am voting for Shadow.
<v Speaker 11>I like this guy behind.
<v Speaker 8>A bank.
<v Speaker 11>If you don't have any money, that there is anyone
<v Speaker 11>I don't have it.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, okay, let's fucking rip the band aid off.
<v Speaker 2>Y'all.
<v Speaker 4>Straps are coming down this year, all right, kidding, don't
<v Speaker 4>worry about it. More and more.
<v Speaker 3>If I could do an Indiana Jones style swap seas,
<v Speaker 3>perhaps removing like a dragon.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah for a thousand extra.
<v Speaker 4>Hold up, might not do a call duty.
<v Speaker 1>I think you might have a better chance there.
<v Speaker 8>But because.
<v Speaker 4>There's some logical conversations that day.
<v Speaker 8>Everything was doing on the discussion pop I'm sorry everyone.
<v Speaker 8>Just a bunch of people just said, yeah, Tree should
<v Speaker 8>be there, but.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, hang, hey, we need to resolve some things.
<v Speaker 2>I just yea, I think Tree just moves over.
<v Speaker 8>I would like to make the the case for like
<v Speaker 8>what legacy of kine.
<v Speaker 9>I want to say first before you do that, that
<v Speaker 9>I did sacrifice a couple of darlings because one of
<v Speaker 9>your door was a remastered or another one.
<v Speaker 4>Marbs's cap Fight collection is a collection. Cool.
<v Speaker 14>I know I'm just saying.
<v Speaker 5>I mean, I didn't make you sacrifice. No, I'm not
<v Speaker 5>doing that.
<v Speaker 1>That's terrible.
<v Speaker 11>That makes a whole wortle blind.
<v Speaker 2>Hang on, I think there's another one we need to
<v Speaker 2>talk about here, content warning.
<v Speaker 1>Let let's maybe stay on where we are before we're
<v Speaker 1>jumping around a lot.
<v Speaker 13>Well, that's the thing.
<v Speaker 2>I think everything else has left is I'll get to
<v Speaker 2>another one, but I think everything else has left is
<v Speaker 2>kind of babies that we're trying to move on. I
<v Speaker 2>think content warning is one where collective.
<v Speaker 4>I say content warning, Dan, you said maybe content warning.
<v Speaker 4>I enjoyed my time with it, but you know it's
<v Speaker 4>not one that I'm like sitting around.
<v Speaker 1>I'm trying to gage your ass feelings.
<v Speaker 4>You like it, super pro content warning. My argument for
<v Speaker 4>is that I do.
<v Speaker 12>It's our list, and I think that we should have
<v Speaker 12>a thing that we all had.
<v Speaker 4>On there. I know that it's not which is sentimental there,
<v Speaker 4>I think Darling, Yeah, yeah, I just think it does.
<v Speaker 12>It takes the Lethal Company moment, and obviously they were
<v Speaker 12>working on them concurrently.
<v Speaker 4>Like, it doesn't mean ideas have not come out, and
<v Speaker 4>they did not come in a vacuum, right, But.
<v Speaker 12>I think it it is such an interesting and fun
<v Speaker 12>and timely spin that for the job that we do
<v Speaker 12>and the ways that we play games, I think really
<v Speaker 12>allowed us to have fun in a space together.
<v Speaker 2>And I think that that is really important.
<v Speaker 4>Medium wise, because you can't do that with a book.
<v Speaker 11>I'm going to ask, because I have played it, I
<v Speaker 11>wasn't on that. I have zero connection to it. Did
<v Speaker 11>y'all go back to it?
<v Speaker 4>Did you think.
<v Speaker 1>Stream I appreciate what it's doing.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, Like it's like I feel like it's like I
<v Speaker 1>went to a house party and they had this fun
<v Speaker 1>drinking game and I did it once, so I'm like
<v Speaker 1>that was a fun time.
<v Speaker 5>And yeah, like I'm at home humanity.
<v Speaker 2>I think that the way we think about that game
<v Speaker 2>is more the other categories we've had where we talk
<v Speaker 2>about like best game we stream.
<v Speaker 4>That's why we had that category exactly.
<v Speaker 2>I think that that one fits more there.
<v Speaker 3>So I think for the top ten and like as
<v Speaker 3>a game, you know, they're doing cool stuff, but I
<v Speaker 3>think it's maybe not the greatest, so I think, but
<v Speaker 3>it's like I don't.
<v Speaker 4>Know it is what we brought to it, and that's
<v Speaker 4>still part of the game. So I don't know.
<v Speaker 6>I think dropping it because of it was going to
<v Speaker 6>be hard and not enough people really feel too strongly
<v Speaker 6>about it.
<v Speaker 1>I'm fine, let's got it. I would be willing to
<v Speaker 1>drop a thousand times for sist.
<v Speaker 2>I would not be willing to drop a thousand.
<v Speaker 1>Is there any reason techon It's not moved anything against it?
<v Speaker 5>I okay, it doesn't.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, Tech and eight has phenomenal presentation, it has a
<v Speaker 2>very very fun story mode a game. The more I
<v Speaker 2>play it, the more I hate it because it's horrifically
<v Speaker 2>imbalanced in a way that's not fun. My fighting games
<v Speaker 2>should not be balanced for the sake of you know,
<v Speaker 2>like esports and everything like that, and like, let's make
<v Speaker 2>it fair. But this game is in many ways broken
<v Speaker 2>in a way that is not fun. And more and
<v Speaker 2>more I want to play with friends and I don't
<v Speaker 2>because there's so many issues with the actual fighting in
<v Speaker 2>Tech and eight. If it maybe gets me some points
<v Speaker 2>a little bit here, I'm saying, maybe this is the
<v Speaker 2>end of the journey for tech and eight.
<v Speaker 8>Yeah, I also feel like it is a lot of
<v Speaker 8>what makes techn eight so makes it good. Is this
<v Speaker 8>stuff around the core of the game, which is quite
<v Speaker 8>familiar in terms of it's Tech and seven in a
<v Speaker 8>lot like I trade a movement of Tech and seven,
<v Speaker 8>even of Tech and seven, and like Tech and seven
<v Speaker 8>was great, techn A isn't a weird place. Everything around
<v Speaker 8>it is cool. But I feel like there's a disparity
<v Speaker 8>between the stuff that is good and the stuff that
<v Speaker 8>is questionable that is big enough that it kind of,
<v Speaker 8>like Shahn said, it might be the end of the journey.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I just think that. And again this is you know,
<v Speaker 2>I was talking about our experiences, but in such a
<v Speaker 2>multiplayer focus and community focus game, it is hard to
<v Speaker 2>get over the funk that's in techn A and how
<v Speaker 2>people can't just don't want to play it right now.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, it doesn't feel good.
<v Speaker 5>It plays a lot of.
<v Speaker 2>Like then I think that's it for teching community into
<v Speaker 2>the volcano. Dan, throw it nice.
<v Speaker 8>You made not at the exact moment, go deleted.
<v Speaker 1>Amazing we planned that actual, so okay, And then three.
<v Speaker 13>How do you spell that?
<v Speaker 2>After that?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah?
<v Speaker 1>Okay, we have five left here on the little spoon,
<v Speaker 1>and I feel like we need to cut ahold of them, maybe,
<v Speaker 1>like we have.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, old idiot, Mike, how hard do we want to
<v Speaker 2>fight for rebirth?
<v Speaker 9>I kind of I'm already kind of over it again,
<v Speaker 9>Like it's very important for me. I can tell it's
<v Speaker 9>not important to pretty much everyone else here, and that's okay.
<v Speaker 1>Where's our that on your Game of the Year. Why
<v Speaker 1>don't we talk about PERSONA three.
<v Speaker 10>For because I have seen bits of it, I have
<v Speaker 10>no connection to really stuff.
<v Speaker 4>It's yeah, right, it's funny in its own right.
<v Speaker 6>It is there are It takes those games and makes
<v Speaker 6>them playable in a way so it's fun and makes
<v Speaker 6>it fun to get to the stuff that's.
<v Speaker 4>Bad on purpose, and doing that is actually super impressive.
<v Speaker 13>It is.
<v Speaker 4>Probably not going to make the.
<v Speaker 1>Probably right, that's what if it's like your number one game,
<v Speaker 1>you're not.
<v Speaker 4>Line in my top five.
<v Speaker 1>I know I admire it.
<v Speaker 9>I admire it more than maybe any game I think
<v Speaker 9>in terms of having a vision and having passions see
<v Speaker 9>that vision through, Like I feel that on the screen
<v Speaker 9>more than maybe anything else this year.
<v Speaker 1>It tickles me more than a my.
<v Speaker 12>That crazy thing I'm going to say, as a person
<v Speaker 12>who has mostly watched our is that is that in
<v Speaker 12>my brain it occupies the same zone as Thank goodness
<v Speaker 12>year here.
<v Speaker 2>Shut up.
<v Speaker 5>I think that they are.
<v Speaker 4>They are.
<v Speaker 12>I think that's what I think I think we should
<v Speaker 12>do because we can get a thousand times and.
<v Speaker 1>Set has actual game mechanics. Yes, that's a real game.
<v Speaker 4>I think.
<v Speaker 1>A little more interactivity with It's a slap format, sure,
<v Speaker 1>but I think you can jump. You could jump it
<v Speaker 1>slop you.
<v Speaker 12>In regard to I think that they both nailed the
<v Speaker 12>very hyper specific niche thing that they are trying to do.
<v Speaker 11>Okay, being British is not niche.
<v Speaker 18>I think it is.
<v Speaker 2>Going in.
<v Speaker 8>This room. It is currently a niche.
<v Speaker 11>I think we count backlours one of ours at this point.
<v Speaker 1>Really know, because the people who wanted minders it anyways.
<v Speaker 5>I mean Jewish people use words right, sound different?
<v Speaker 4>Why is it lile?
<v Speaker 1>British boom? How to dig my heels? The fact that
<v Speaker 1>I could do a little bit of a stinker about
<v Speaker 1>it is good enough for me.
<v Speaker 6>If you if we want to cut it, goodbye, I'm
<v Speaker 6>going to make a stink taking a cane.
<v Speaker 8>Man. Listen, a lot of people have said you're only love.
<v Speaker 8>They want to cut their babies.
<v Speaker 4>They're not going to.
<v Speaker 13>You got to stop.
<v Speaker 8>They're going to dig their heel in, and they've chosen
<v Speaker 8>they're not going to dig their heal in, and they've
<v Speaker 8>chose to sacrifice it. I will dig my healing.
<v Speaker 5>I will not kill my.
<v Speaker 1>Really, I'll kill me.
<v Speaker 5>I'm not doing it.
<v Speaker 4>I'm doing I'm not doing it. I'm doing.
<v Speaker 8>Okay, okay, I'm not doing it to the point where
<v Speaker 8>I would take off shadow of the Tree for it.
<v Speaker 1>That's listen, That's what I'm.
<v Speaker 5>Saying, though, how I'm willing to fight for it.
<v Speaker 8>Wait a second, I would cut Tree behold ship.
<v Speaker 5>So you're still in line at the bank.
<v Speaker 4>You are too, I know.
<v Speaker 8>Like I mean, like, if this is the point where
<v Speaker 8>I have to make a case for it, I'll make
<v Speaker 8>the case for it.
<v Speaker 1>Make the case the case being I want to is.
<v Speaker 4>This your game of the year.
<v Speaker 6>No, it's not my game of the year. It's gonna
<v Speaker 6>be in my top top three. Yeah, that's pretty good.
<v Speaker 6>But I mean I kind of like, gett even your
<v Speaker 6>one darling on there. I just I need to know
<v Speaker 6>what's your favorite game this year.
<v Speaker 5>It's the most important game, to be sure.
<v Speaker 4>I get that.
<v Speaker 5>That's the reason is Tim do you play You played
<v Speaker 5>through the whole thing already, Both the chunk of both games. Yeah,
<v Speaker 5>it's been out for like four days.
<v Speaker 1>I know, you got em. Like that first one that
<v Speaker 1>came up, the Assembly.
<v Speaker 8>Legacy of Kine not a very well known franchise, so
<v Speaker 8>weather it had a small glimmer at his time, and
<v Speaker 8>since then it's just been forgotten. And it's like that
<v Speaker 8>franchise that's been like treated shitty its entire life. It's
<v Speaker 8>gone from like owner to owner. While others have been
<v Speaker 8>like pulled out of the vault, you know, reassessed and
<v Speaker 8>put back into the vault. Legacy of Kane has never
<v Speaker 8>even a Soul Reaver hasn't had that same kind of
<v Speaker 8>treatment after they did it dirty with like nas golf
<v Speaker 8>and that kind of stuff.
<v Speaker 4>So Ever, the world moved.
<v Speaker 5>On from Soulriva.
<v Speaker 8>And the thing with that game is it's so good
<v Speaker 8>that the community is it exists and it has remained
<v Speaker 8>healthy and they are self sustaining community. It's like alcoholics anonymous,
<v Speaker 8>like we keep each other going in just for the
<v Speaker 8>hope of it. And this is a game that has
<v Speaker 8>had like an uphill struggle always. It's never had its
<v Speaker 8>time in the life. We didn't when it came out,
<v Speaker 8>We weren't making like lists no one ever was doing
<v Speaker 8>as far as I remember.
<v Speaker 2>Just commandments here, I think.
<v Speaker 5>I think it's when you see your meeting like where
<v Speaker 5>where like your meeting.
<v Speaker 7>I'm serious, Like you talk about it being like aa,
<v Speaker 7>it's a metaphor, I understand, but I'm serious because you
<v Speaker 7>have the Communitians together.
<v Speaker 8>Somewhere, there's legacy of kine websites that people go away archives,
<v Speaker 8>there's YouTube videos, there's discords and that kind of stuff.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, like, no, we didn't.
<v Speaker 8>We didn't award games their flowers in the way that
<v Speaker 8>we do now back then, right, And it is like
<v Speaker 8>a game that is so important to me and to
<v Speaker 8>a lot of people that I feel like right now
<v Speaker 8>is probably the only time that it will have. It
<v Speaker 8>has had past and present where it could get something,
<v Speaker 8>you know what I mean, And for all intents and purposes,
<v Speaker 8>it probably is going to die from here.
<v Speaker 5>It will never be seen again because what was it?
<v Speaker 11>So I was gonna say that I know how much
<v Speaker 11>you love it.
<v Speaker 10>I want to know, because that's that's along a lot
<v Speaker 10>more zone how the game has been treated, what makes
<v Speaker 10>the games games?
<v Speaker 8>The game is as worthy worthy of that love from
<v Speaker 8>the is is as good today as it was back then,
<v Speaker 8>and with the new changes, if not better, it looks better.
<v Speaker 8>They added a new camera like controlled finite camera controlled.
<v Speaker 8>More than anything, the thing that makes that game good
<v Speaker 8>is and I'll say this and you'll be like, oh,
<v Speaker 8>of course. For me, it was my first souls like,
<v Speaker 8>it was the game that The reason I love from
<v Speaker 8>software is because of legacy of Kine Soular even it's
<v Speaker 8>like your story, it's my origin. It's my origin game.
<v Speaker 8>That is the game that made me who I am
<v Speaker 8>as a gamer. Now, I think that the reason is
<v Speaker 8>so good is because the writing is fucking out of
<v Speaker 8>this world like it is. I wish that you could
<v Speaker 8>like more people that played it. Like from the very
<v Speaker 8>first word that that fucking intro is I was telling
<v Speaker 8>down about it, like it pops off. It's really so
<v Speaker 8>hard that and then every line that is spoken is Shakespearean.
<v Speaker 8>They hired theater actors to give it the gravitas it needs.
<v Speaker 8>Those actors are either retired or dead now and like
<v Speaker 8>they never got to be told, like you fucking killed it, man,
<v Speaker 8>you were unbelievable. The dialogue in that game, the way
<v Speaker 8>it's delivered, the actual story. It's a game that looks
<v Speaker 8>like it's about vampires, but it's about like destiny. It's
<v Speaker 8>about your ability to take hold of yourself, how you
<v Speaker 8>can be manipulated by people you trust. It's also at
<v Speaker 8>the same time a time traveling game, a game about
<v Speaker 8>a necromancer, a game about literal how a soul can
<v Speaker 8>be used and abused and find a place within this
<v Speaker 8>world of its own. And it's in the framework of
<v Speaker 8>a game that looks like is very forgettable because we're
<v Speaker 8>looking back at it. It looks like just a platformer
<v Speaker 8>where you pay up some blocks pushing it around. It
<v Speaker 8>was the first game that was doing a lot of
<v Speaker 8>that stuff. It's a game where you're in an environment.
<v Speaker 8>You go to environment, you press a bun and Rozio
<v Speaker 8>moves his hands and the entire environment, without loading, completely shifts.
<v Speaker 8>The geometry change is not indeed, by these days, by
<v Speaker 8>our measures. Now, it's not complicated, like it's just some
<v Speaker 8>you know, verses or whatever about moving. But back then,
<v Speaker 8>when you press that button and everything around you just changed,
<v Speaker 8>and you're like, this is a different game, this is
<v Speaker 8>a different level. It was jaw dropping, and even now
<v Speaker 8>when you do it, you're like, this is pretty fucking awesome,
<v Speaker 8>like it's really cool, and then you think about it
<v Speaker 8>did it back then? And you're like, how did not
<v Speaker 8>Why wasn't this game treated the way it deserved to
<v Speaker 8>be treated, Like it did things that were so far
<v Speaker 8>ahead of its time and got nothing for it, And
<v Speaker 8>like I said it, it probably is dead from here.
<v Speaker 9>Like I've not heard one thing I wanted in like
<v Speaker 9>you know, i'd not push back against. But it's somebody
<v Speaker 9>like likes retro games a lot and was there skiking out,
<v Speaker 9>Like I don't know if I ever got that sense
<v Speaker 9>that like this game wasn't appreciated like at its time,
<v Speaker 9>I still was.
<v Speaker 8>I don't, like, I don't think it was appreciated. I
<v Speaker 8>mean it got it got it got some love because
<v Speaker 8>obviously there was a sequels, but it's no one when
<v Speaker 8>in the last ten years have you ever heard someone
<v Speaker 8>say Legacy Ken is really important too, Like it's one
<v Speaker 8>of the best written games ever.
<v Speaker 1>I do, But again, I follow a lot of retro
<v Speaker 1>channels a lot.
<v Speaker 8>Yeah, Like I've been talking about it for years and
<v Speaker 8>now people are like playing it and coming back to
<v Speaker 8>me and being like I don't understand, Like I've thought
<v Speaker 8>you were like doing the internet hype thing where you're like,
<v Speaker 8>you're a stand for this thing, and you know, you
<v Speaker 8>go overboard. But the stuff that you're saying is true
<v Speaker 8>is like really fucking good, And like now I feel
<v Speaker 8>like I've raised the expectations so hard because it is
<v Speaker 8>a great I think it has the greatest opening ever
<v Speaker 8>created for a video game, and I take that over
<v Speaker 8>every from soft game, every metal game game, every every
<v Speaker 8>game that I've played. I think it's the writing is here.
<v Speaker 8>It uses it has an economy of words that is
<v Speaker 8>like beautiful. It is like it's every line is poetic
<v Speaker 8>and it's not written to be a pretentious either. It's
<v Speaker 8>not like while you're listening to these characters you're like, fuck,
<v Speaker 8>I hate these fucking people. They are having conversations that
<v Speaker 8>are both understandable when you hear them. You're like, the
<v Speaker 8>way he expressed that is crazy. There's like this, there's
<v Speaker 8>this you speak to. Kane Kin is like the antagonist
<v Speaker 8>of this game, the protagonist of the previous game. He
<v Speaker 8>had to make a decision, which was do I sacrifice
<v Speaker 8>myself to save Nosgoth or do I not do that?
<v Speaker 8>And Cain is a fucking selfish dickhead, and he was like,
<v Speaker 8>I am not sacrimvising myself. I'm going to let this
<v Speaker 8>world crumble and I will rule it. And then you
<v Speaker 8>play this game and you're Rosiel, You've been betrayed by Kane,
<v Speaker 8>you're finding Kane, and then not to spoil it, but
<v Speaker 8>as you go along, you start to realize Kine had
<v Speaker 8>something he was working towards, and there's way more going
<v Speaker 8>on than you realize. And as as a player, the
<v Speaker 8>writing is so good that you only start to make
<v Speaker 8>the connections when Raziol does it. So it's not like
<v Speaker 8>a story that's predictable. It goes in some weird directions
<v Speaker 8>at times, but the way it presents and like the
<v Speaker 8>way it executes on the story, I don't think any
<v Speaker 8>game has had that kind of like good relationship between
<v Speaker 8>the way the characters speak, the way they evolve, the
<v Speaker 8>way they change, and how it unfolds in the end
<v Speaker 8>like it doesn't. These two games are probably if I could,
<v Speaker 8>like Fire best written game's most enjoyable experiences onto the Moon,
<v Speaker 8>so future generations could pick it up and try and
<v Speaker 8>make games based on these, that would be it like
<v Speaker 8>one of it would be one of those games. And
<v Speaker 8>it is, like I said, rudimentary. It's block puzzles, combats
<v Speaker 8>not great. It's that it's early stuff where it's like,
<v Speaker 8>you know, circling enemies and attacking them, waiting for your moments.
<v Speaker 8>Don't overcommit all the frum soft stuff it's there. But
<v Speaker 8>it's also got some really fun ideas. Like vampires, you
<v Speaker 8>beat the shot of them, they don't die. They will
<v Speaker 8>just stand there in a stun state. You give them
<v Speaker 8>enough time and they'll come back. And what you have
<v Speaker 8>to do is like you have to pick them up,
<v Speaker 8>throw them in sunlight, you have to haale them, you
<v Speaker 8>have to throw them in water. And then if you
<v Speaker 8>let their souls. If you don't immediately or quickly reave
<v Speaker 8>their souls, another enemy could like eat it and become
<v Speaker 8>more powerful, or they could go back into the body
<v Speaker 8>and you can like it will be resurrected. It's got
<v Speaker 8>interesting mechanics that it hasn't been done yet, but that
<v Speaker 8>that whole world is so rich. It's why I keep
<v Speaker 8>saying it's the IP with the most unrealized potential in
<v Speaker 8>all of games.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I think that you know that I see everything
<v Speaker 1>you're saying, and it stretch about its importance to you
<v Speaker 1>and how it's kind of been forgotten every time because
<v Speaker 1>you're right, like back in the day it was on
<v Speaker 1>magazine covers and things like that, and then it's when
<v Speaker 1>they kind of died off and you never really heard
<v Speaker 1>about again. But I feel like almost everything you just
<v Speaker 1>talked about, despite it being you know, so important to
<v Speaker 1>you and all this stuff it was doing at the time,
<v Speaker 1>if this is for a conversation about the best games
<v Speaker 1>of all time, I think.
<v Speaker 4>All of that clients I agree.
<v Speaker 1>I think that, you know, with it being best games
<v Speaker 1>of twenty twenty four, we look at other games thousand
<v Speaker 1>Near Door, the Caslvania Dominance Collection, Dominance Collection, which you know,
<v Speaker 1>these are beloved games that you know, weren't really you know,
<v Speaker 1>remand there's quality of life improvements and things like that.
<v Speaker 1>I think it's one thing if this got like a
<v Speaker 1>big you know, this is like a remix situation where
<v Speaker 1>it's like a new game. But I think we are
<v Speaker 1>looking at a hidden not a hidden gym, but a
<v Speaker 1>game from the past that is getting another light shine
<v Speaker 1>on it in twenty twenty four, like Caslvania Dominance, like
<v Speaker 1>Paper Marito a thousand near Door with some quality life
<v Speaker 1>improvements to the camera and things like that.
<v Speaker 6>But I just don't think it's just that there are
<v Speaker 6>a lot of classes. It's just like right there, and
<v Speaker 6>it's like, yeah, I guess it's a remaster. That is,
<v Speaker 6>it's an okay, remaster of really great games.
<v Speaker 8>That's where it like, yeah, I mean, like I I
<v Speaker 8>don't think of it in the same way that others do,
<v Speaker 8>so I understand that. Like for me, it's not like, oh,
<v Speaker 8>this is a game that came out and compared to
<v Speaker 8>other games is good. I can't do that. This is like, right,
<v Speaker 8>I got test my friend one last time before he
<v Speaker 8>goes away forever. So I realized that's just for me though.
<v Speaker 4>So I for I get it.
<v Speaker 2>But this is it's going to be impossible.
<v Speaker 8>It's a franchise that has never got the respect it deserves.
<v Speaker 8>This was my attempt to at least okay, some of
<v Speaker 8>that you.
<v Speaker 1>Got into respect for sure, and maybe it comes back.
<v Speaker 1>Everything comes back commed, He's coming back, Righting.
<v Speaker 5>Happened, Anything can happen.
<v Speaker 6>One thousand ext resists. That's times resist excuse me, Uh,
<v Speaker 6>it's it's time now.
<v Speaker 3>I think it's time to uh to say hecky grace
<v Speaker 3>hair to hair to my sister in the sky.
<v Speaker 2>Uh everyone, what the fuck? Yeah, Square, I get you,
<v Speaker 2>I get you.
<v Speaker 4>Dan knows what I'm talking about.
<v Speaker 2>I don't.
<v Speaker 4>Oh yeah, you're gonna make me cry.
<v Speaker 3>Chan A thousand times Resist would have been my number
<v Speaker 3>one game of this year. It's my number two if
<v Speaker 3>metaphor Defense has you didn't come out.
<v Speaker 2>A thousand times Resist.
<v Speaker 3>Tells the story of some now dealing with generational trauma
<v Speaker 3>and choosing what you bring with you to the next
<v Speaker 3>life and realizing that you are an amalgamation of all
<v Speaker 3>of your experiences and even if you try and forget,
<v Speaker 3>you try to erase the bad parts.
<v Speaker 2>And you only want to include the good parts.
<v Speaker 3>You need everything to be a complete version of you,
<v Speaker 3>because trying to do that erasing process and the deleting
<v Speaker 3>process of your soul or your being kind of erases
<v Speaker 3>who you are as a person. And not to get
<v Speaker 3>too personal, I'll get personal real later, but A thousand
<v Speaker 3>times Orsist one of those games that really just like
<v Speaker 3>made me really just stop and examine of like, okay, cool, yeah,
<v Speaker 3>maybe I should make some decisions on shit and really
<v Speaker 3>reflect on where I've been, where I want to go,
<v Speaker 3>and what I feel like defines me as a person
<v Speaker 3>I don't think it's going to be enough compared to
<v Speaker 3>every other game on the tiny spoon already, but I'm
<v Speaker 3>glad that I've been able to be quiet enough for
<v Speaker 3>it to make it this far. So goodbye to a
<v Speaker 3>thousand times resist hecky grace.
<v Speaker 1>And we cut Persona three before.
<v Speaker 4>Three before, so I'm just counting that came of the year.
<v Speaker 12>Yeah you want to, I'm joking, you want to get
<v Speaker 12>on the pedestal that these two event on.
<v Speaker 5>We cut our zet again.
<v Speaker 2>Like ten times for a.
<v Speaker 13>Yeah.
<v Speaker 4>Absolutely, You're s is actually really good.
<v Speaker 13>It's just insane that he thought he'd get it. This
<v Speaker 13>one got pretty far.
<v Speaker 5>You taking good work, Thank you, Nikki.
<v Speaker 21>Oh yeah, yeah, good mouthful. Watch look at how red
<v Speaker 21>it is inside.
<v Speaker 13>Why you do just take me instead?
<v Speaker 1>I don't know why.
<v Speaker 4>All right, Sean, take PERSONA three and take it up back.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah no, put my foot down.
<v Speaker 4>Uh, game of the Year.
<v Speaker 2>I have not finished metaphor. I wassperately racing to try
<v Speaker 2>to before this discussion. I was trying on the airplane.
<v Speaker 2>I was trying, like the past couple of nights didn't happen.
<v Speaker 2>So I don't know how metaphor if it does stick
<v Speaker 2>the landing at the end. So it is my number two.
<v Speaker 2>Persona three Reload is my gamely year right now, because y'all,
<v Speaker 2>I've had a year.
<v Speaker 4>I uh.
<v Speaker 2>I have not talked about this publicly, but just stuff
<v Speaker 2>that I don't want to talk about still I'm not
<v Speaker 2>going to All I'll say is, in a year where
<v Speaker 2>I've gone through a lot of ship, I need to
<v Speaker 2>see some friends again. And Persona three Reload was revisiting
<v Speaker 2>friends in a better way than they've ever been. They
<v Speaker 2>fleshed out these characters and the journey that they take
<v Speaker 2>all the way to the end, and everything we talked about.
<v Speaker 2>A little spoilery, every thing we talked about. At the
<v Speaker 2>end of that game. I was crying the whole night.
<v Speaker 2>And I need to see that game on the top
<v Speaker 2>ten because I love it so so much, and we'll
<v Speaker 2>do what I have to get on that top ten.
<v Speaker 1>Jeff, yep, sounds good.
<v Speaker 4>Let's cut Call of Duty.
<v Speaker 13>Then I'm not going to be good, all right?
<v Speaker 2>Sure, I think that.
<v Speaker 5>I think it makes sense to get rid of Call
<v Speaker 5>of Duty.
<v Speaker 4>Let's before to show the three over there and then
<v Speaker 4>mu's just figure it out.
<v Speaker 5>Let's figure out.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, kind of Wealth into the.
<v Speaker 8>Call of Duty.
<v Speaker 2>I like what.
<v Speaker 8>I don't know why infinitely so called that you will
<v Speaker 8>put our that back?
<v Speaker 3>Okay, Mike, if we convince them to cut two more games,
<v Speaker 3>you get our is it?
<v Speaker 2>I get a thousand times?
<v Speaker 5>Okay?
<v Speaker 4>Jones is racist.
<v Speaker 1>That's fun almost working for a while.
<v Speaker 8>Yeah, I like it.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, Like I feel like Black Ops six and Infinite
<v Speaker 2>Wealth are kind of on the same level.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, I really like both those games a lot. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>one we like where is a little bit of Wealth
<v Speaker 1>with the pacing and kind of the length and everything
<v Speaker 1>and somethings dragging.
<v Speaker 4>I did fall off.
<v Speaker 1>After like forty hours of that game, and I was
<v Speaker 1>loving it, and then Call of Duty. I've only gotten
<v Speaker 1>more into him. Yeah, yeah, you can cut infit. Well,
<v Speaker 1>I think I might like it better than anybody. But
<v Speaker 1>there's like we got five.
<v Speaker 4>We did it all right, and that's the order.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's gonna be close to it, damn.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, So let's read the Tiny Spoon.
<v Speaker 2>This is not ordered, but this is just how it.
<v Speaker 4>Is might be ordered.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, Okay.
<v Speaker 4>On the tiny Spoon.
<v Speaker 12>On their way into the mouth, we have blatro Astrobot
<v Speaker 12>metaphour Reefantasio Indiana, Jones in the Great Circle, Prince of Persia,
<v Speaker 12>The Lost Crown, Silent Hill two, Thank goodness you're here,
<v Speaker 12>Call of Duty, Black Ops six, Elvin Ring, Shadow of
<v Speaker 12>the Urd Tree and Persona three.
<v Speaker 4>And that's how you eat.
<v Speaker 1>You take a big spoon, You put in a little
<v Speaker 1>spoon the.
<v Speaker 4>Mouth.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, you go from the left end.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 5>Oh you see that right below that it says spider heck.
<v Speaker 4>So we technically have a ten.
<v Speaker 2>Do we want to take a quick bricky all right?
<v Speaker 2>Books stay two owned.
<v Speaker 3>We're going to crown and order the top ten right
<v Speaker 3>after this, and we are back with the top ten.
<v Speaker 3>Now we've whittled everything down to the tiniest, most precious
<v Speaker 3>of spoons. It's encrusted with diamonds and pearls and a
<v Speaker 3>little bit of rust because we've left it in the sink.
<v Speaker 3>Don't leave your spoons in the sink, gosh darn it.
<v Speaker 3>And then we're going to take all these ten games
<v Speaker 3>and we're going to make an order of them, and
<v Speaker 3>number one will be our game of the year for
<v Speaker 3>twenty twenty four.
<v Speaker 4>May I propose we take the top.
<v Speaker 3>Three here and just immediately push them over and we'll
<v Speaker 3>later a second control.
<v Speaker 5>You're in the mouth, kind of like sitting on the tongue.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I see, it's like when you get a crumb
<v Speaker 2>on your mustache.
<v Speaker 1>How about the top four?
<v Speaker 4>We leave Indiana jud at number four? No, I mean
<v Speaker 4>print some yea, okay, just a tough three then okay.
<v Speaker 1>Let's start with the bottom.
<v Speaker 4>That's yeah.
<v Speaker 21>Yeah.
<v Speaker 6>We'll put the three over to deal with them later,
<v Speaker 6>and then we work from our way up from the bottom.
<v Speaker 4>Now one all right, okay, okay, okay, from the tin.
<v Speaker 2>Now it's ranked, so oh yeah, so mouth is supposed
<v Speaker 2>being just the number one.
<v Speaker 4>We're no, no, no, the top those three we're gonna work.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, we're trying to figure this out.
<v Speaker 4>Do we want to order them in the mouth?
<v Speaker 6>No, not those top three, not yet. We're going to
<v Speaker 6>deal with those in a second. But move them over
<v Speaker 6>the mouth that those are not?
<v Speaker 2>Why don't we just rank?
<v Speaker 8>You make it.
<v Speaker 1>The mouth and the tiny number one.
<v Speaker 2>It's a joke, Mike, it's a metaphor.
<v Speaker 13>Only number one is ranked.
<v Speaker 4>So we never said that. Oh yeah, okay, we were
<v Speaker 4>scheming while you all were gone.
<v Speaker 6>Yeah we were, Yeah, there was to be number one. Okay,
<v Speaker 6>we're just going to order the list. Okay, let's start
<v Speaker 6>with number ten, Shadow of the Tree.
<v Speaker 11>I was going to say, shadowed the Yeah, I know it.
<v Speaker 9>I'm really glad it made it because it deserves that,
<v Speaker 9>Like you know that earlier conversation. I don't necessarily oh,
<v Speaker 9>it's not getting his account, but there's.
<v Speaker 4>A little bit of meal.
<v Speaker 1>It's like, it's more on a ring and.
<v Speaker 9>That's great, and they did an incredible job with it,
<v Speaker 9>and it deserves so much recognition for that. But I
<v Speaker 9>only want to get it so many more flowers on
<v Speaker 9>a ring has so many flowers, it's basically a garden.
<v Speaker 8>There is an arguments put it at ten?
<v Speaker 4>Why is there funny? Now, well that's where the games
<v Speaker 4>have to go.
<v Speaker 8>Okay, there's an argue to put it at ten, right, yeah, yeah,
<v Speaker 8>why why why is it at ten?
<v Speaker 4>For what he just said?
<v Speaker 5>He just said, I it's got fall and I don't
<v Speaker 5>want to give it any more.
<v Speaker 11>Credit because in the context with this ten, yeah, like this.
<v Speaker 8>Ten Shadow of the Trees not better than put on
<v Speaker 8>a three to reload, which means a lot to him,
<v Speaker 8>but is a remake of the game.
<v Speaker 2>I'm so here's the thing.
<v Speaker 8>Why you two, there's a bunch of games on here
<v Speaker 8>that you could make a case for like S two
<v Speaker 8>is amazing.
<v Speaker 3>I'm agreeing with so YouTube were yelling about this ship.
<v Speaker 2>If we are redefining what the top time means that,
<v Speaker 2>I'm sorry, my argument holds zero zero.
<v Speaker 13>I was agreement with you.
<v Speaker 4>What are you talking about it? Of?
<v Speaker 2>Like I only want to give it so many flowers.
<v Speaker 2>If we're going to three like a game, we are
<v Speaker 2>saying gain experience, you need to pick a lane. Dude,
<v Speaker 2>there is no no, we don't. There is no defined
<v Speaker 2>anything here. We're feeling this out. It's our list.
<v Speaker 1>I'm still hey, wait real quick, Oh this is made up.
<v Speaker 4>Guys.
<v Speaker 8>At the moment I leave this room, I don't give
<v Speaker 8>a show by any of the I don't get care
<v Speaker 8>of this list.
<v Speaker 4>Or you don't care about this list.
<v Speaker 6>But it's also we're just making it up and and
<v Speaker 6>so we don't need to pick a lane, define anything.
<v Speaker 9>Okay, the more important play What I said is I
<v Speaker 9>do think it is ultimately more out and you know
<v Speaker 9>there you Yeah, let's say that.
<v Speaker 8>You can say this PERSONA three is more PERSONA three
<v Speaker 8>from PERSONA three days.
<v Speaker 4>I agree with.
<v Speaker 8>Two from Sunny Hill too. There's two remakes at least
<v Speaker 8>here that okay.
<v Speaker 5>You could make it a.
<v Speaker 4>Three learning is fifty hours of brand new content. I'm
<v Speaker 4>agreeing with Tam on this.
<v Speaker 3>Like even I will say, like trying to get into
<v Speaker 3>the top ten and there we go. That's not what
<v Speaker 3>we're doing here is we are ranking the equality regardless
<v Speaker 3>of anything else.
<v Speaker 2>So if shallow their tree is number.
<v Speaker 3>There's nothing about quality regardless.
<v Speaker 4>And if you like Ray good quality be regardless of
<v Speaker 4>anything else.
<v Speaker 6>No, it's like all these little things do matter, but
<v Speaker 6>they matter as much as they matter in quality in
<v Speaker 6>the grand scot.
<v Speaker 2>I'm not I'm not I'm not trying to give a
<v Speaker 2>review score here. I'm saying we are deciding what we
<v Speaker 2>like the most.
<v Speaker 3>I'm just trying to say, if shadowy ur tree, if
<v Speaker 3>what we're doing here is like you know, it's it's
<v Speaker 3>eligible as much as anything else, there can just be
<v Speaker 3>zero qualifiers yelling to discuss.
<v Speaker 2>And I think I'll do it.
<v Speaker 1>Three game as if it started at the beginning of
<v Speaker 1>our tree and its last boss. It is like, forget
<v Speaker 1>about where it sits and what executables.
<v Speaker 4>I think it's just like here is.
<v Speaker 10>That all.
<v Speaker 5>I make you can make the observation that it is
<v Speaker 5>more elder ring.
<v Speaker 8>But you can't use that as a disqualifier unless it
<v Speaker 8>is unless it is a negative. Are you saying that
<v Speaker 8>as a negative?
<v Speaker 7>Just like.
<v Speaker 9>Yeah, you always in a sense that ownering was already
<v Speaker 9>a lot, and it was maybe most of that I needed.
<v Speaker 9>And I don't really mean that even as I say it,
<v Speaker 9>I'm glad we got more of it. But even here
<v Speaker 9>towards the end, you can kind of see it taper
<v Speaker 9>off a bit. There were some biggish areas towards there,
<v Speaker 9>especially where those like hur Old Furled Hands were.
<v Speaker 4>They were very empty areas.
<v Speaker 8>There wasn't much stylistic decision. That's the point of that area,
<v Speaker 8>most beautiful, stunning, there's nothing like what you're saying is
<v Speaker 8>like we've had you know this kind of thing, Sami?
<v Speaker 4>Do we want shadow the tree even higher than nine?
<v Speaker 4>Is that what we're saying. I loved it. Yeah, I
<v Speaker 4>loved it too, But okay, but I would I grew.
<v Speaker 1>With tam On like Silent Hill too, is like a
<v Speaker 1>really good remake. I would put or Tree above Silent Do.
<v Speaker 8>We play about Silent Hill. I'll put it off. Cold
<v Speaker 8>of duty that is scraped on by and it is
<v Speaker 8>again more cool of very good more.
<v Speaker 4>Here's here's what I'll suggest, then we move Call of
<v Speaker 4>Duty to ten.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah that's fine. Yes, I look at Dan Scrimmace. I
<v Speaker 5>hate to see.
<v Speaker 1>I feel like I'm surprised to hear that, because it
<v Speaker 1>seemed like numerous people were like surprised at highlight.
<v Speaker 4>Call of Duty. I'm enjoying a lot. If it disappeared tomorrow,
<v Speaker 4>I wouldn't think about it all that much.
<v Speaker 2>On that level. It is five for me.
<v Speaker 3>But it's like, again, you're talking about my baby here,
<v Speaker 3>which is that number one?
<v Speaker 8>So I yeah, yeah, I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I just like I am someone who like very much
<v Speaker 1>does not play online multiplayer games at all. So I
<v Speaker 1>feel like it's it's always like surprising to me when
<v Speaker 1>something is exceptional enough for me to really want to
<v Speaker 1>dive in andity that, Okay, I'm just going to play
<v Speaker 1>this for hours and the last time I hate putting
<v Speaker 1>a headset on and playing games online. And I've done
<v Speaker 1>with you a bunch.
<v Speaker 8>What do you mean?
<v Speaker 4>Oh, I guess it was the last Call of.
<v Speaker 1>Duty, but we do when we're streaming, you know, No,
<v Speaker 1>I mean the last time you nineteen one?
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, we had a ton of it together.
<v Speaker 4>We've had a good amount of that before.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, and then before that, it was many many years
<v Speaker 1>before the other one, and so it's it's rare, and
<v Speaker 1>I think that this one is just so between, Like
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, I think I even like the maps
<v Speaker 1>more than a lot of people do, because some people were,
<v Speaker 1>you know, criticizing that.
<v Speaker 12>And can you talk a little bit about the campaign
<v Speaker 12>at about the multiplayer on them?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, So the campaign I really loved both, Like
<v Speaker 1>the variety is the best I've ever seen in a
<v Speaker 1>Call of Duty because all of them, even though the
<v Speaker 1>individual games would have their things like okay, Advanced Warfare
<v Speaker 1>is the mech suit and Infinite Warfare is the space one.
<v Speaker 1>I feel like Mission and Mission a lot of it
<v Speaker 1>had those games had the same tone throughout, especially the
<v Speaker 1>like Modern Warfare ones and certainly World War Two. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>this is one where it's like I felt like I
<v Speaker 1>was going through like several Mission Impossible movies throughout this,
<v Speaker 1>you know, where it's just like huge, crazy set piece
<v Speaker 1>stuff and it's not just the obvious military stuff. You know,
<v Speaker 1>it starts with the standard like I think you're in kuwait,
<v Speaker 1>you know, it's a Gulf war, it's like, okay, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>this feels like your standard call of duty mission. But
<v Speaker 1>then there's one where you went through casinos and the
<v Speaker 1>ones where you're going through was in France with the
<v Speaker 1>like that's there's early nineties where you get picked up
<v Speaker 1>in a van and nine inch Nails is playing.
<v Speaker 2>Like really, we mentioned the stuff is very activated.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, so there's this huge writing and then it even
<v Speaker 1>try stuff with the format they usually don't see, where
<v Speaker 1>there's a couple open areas. One of them is like
<v Speaker 1>standard desert going around to outpost, you know, kind of
<v Speaker 1>fire cry style, but like open world call of duty,
<v Speaker 1>even if it's a pretty contained area. The other one
<v Speaker 1>is this very stealth focused thing where you're just on
<v Speaker 1>the ground. It's like this snowy military installation like Russia
<v Speaker 1>or something. You're sneaking around getting pass codes and using
<v Speaker 1>like social stealth stuff and like talking to guards and
<v Speaker 1>having to like examine the photos and stuff in the
<v Speaker 1>background of his office to be like oh, yeah, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>you and the kids. Yeah, I get like the things
<v Speaker 1>that you don't.
<v Speaker 4>Expect from a call of duty at all.
<v Speaker 1>And every time it was doing that stuff, I was like, wow,
<v Speaker 1>this is so cool to see them really shake it
<v Speaker 1>up and make it feel like a fun spy caper.
<v Speaker 1>Then it is just like, hey, I'm going to Afghanistan
<v Speaker 1>and killing a bunch of soult.
<v Speaker 2>You know.
<v Speaker 1>It's probably my favorite Call of Duty campaign ever.
<v Speaker 8>I think, yeah, okay, I spy that, And you can
<v Speaker 8>correct me if I'm mischaracterizing how it happened. It did
<v Speaker 8>just kind of scrape in, didn't it this title?
<v Speaker 4>No, I think it was higher. Yeah, I think it was.
<v Speaker 2>I think there was.
<v Speaker 4>Goodness you're here at ten?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, here's Yeah, that's what I was going to say,
<v Speaker 2>Thank goodness you're here.
<v Speaker 1>Whoa that's all three games.
<v Speaker 11>That Jeff has played.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, Like the Game of the year list is six games.
<v Speaker 5>Man, Okay, No, I actually found found, I foundain.
<v Speaker 2>You found ten?
<v Speaker 8>What is it?
<v Speaker 5>I played twelve games?
<v Speaker 3>So based off of the discussions we've had so far,
<v Speaker 3>I think perhaps we put thank Goodness you're here at ten.
<v Speaker 3>That's fine, Persona at nine, call of Duty at eight.
<v Speaker 4>Alan during seven, and Ring seven.
<v Speaker 2>I would like to discuss this a little more as
<v Speaker 2>someone who has both Call of Duty and Persona in
<v Speaker 2>my top five of the year. Persona is such a
<v Speaker 2>higher number one than like you know where Call of
<v Speaker 2>Duty is on top five.
<v Speaker 1>Somewhere by three. I mean, the thing is, it is
<v Speaker 1>tough to argue that, like I mean the way you
<v Speaker 1>talked about that, and it obviously.
<v Speaker 4>Was a very important thing for this year.
<v Speaker 1>I don't want to sit here and tell you that
<v Speaker 1>because I thought the like sniping was good or something
<v Speaker 1>that that overrides your feelings, like you know.
<v Speaker 2>It's still your feelings.
<v Speaker 1>Boy, Yeah, I'm not like, but I enjoyed it in
<v Speaker 1>a way that I know a really good video game.
<v Speaker 2>Me. It's here, here, here, here's what we'll do. Silent
<v Speaker 2>Hill eight?
<v Speaker 1>No, okay, where's call of Duty?
<v Speaker 2>Go?
<v Speaker 12>I think Call of Duty would have been gone just wait,
<v Speaker 12>hold on, is Silent Hill at eight? Move eleanering up
<v Speaker 12>to six? Called Duty at seven?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah?
<v Speaker 5>Son and Hill was amazing.
<v Speaker 8>Yeah, it's brilliant, But like I feel it is Son
<v Speaker 8>and Hill done again?
<v Speaker 5>Well yeah, but I don't remember the first.
<v Speaker 1>It's what you can just do.
<v Speaker 6>It's literally twenty years ago.
<v Speaker 4>Man, you remember what you did twenty years ago? I
<v Speaker 4>sure shouldn't.
<v Speaker 13>Games I played twenty years ago, I argued.
<v Speaker 1>For you played it since then?
<v Speaker 2>Mike.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, okay, so one year I'm talking twenty.
<v Speaker 9>I think I was Redone exceptionally well, right. I think
<v Speaker 9>that the level of performance and acting they brought.
<v Speaker 1>In so that you can it's very impressive. Right, Like
<v Speaker 1>I played the originally, maybe it was just who I
<v Speaker 1>was at that time.
<v Speaker 4>It hit me a little bit. It all hit me
<v Speaker 4>way more.
<v Speaker 1>This time around.
<v Speaker 4>It is.
<v Speaker 7>I think you could argue that it's like almost unrecognizable.
<v Speaker 7>I just think like when I've seen that game, like
<v Speaker 7>try to go back to GET or you're just like
<v Speaker 7>with the PC emulated version with like the hack together graphics.
<v Speaker 5>And you're like, I guess like budget as my way
<v Speaker 5>through this and I bounced off and I'm like, no,
<v Speaker 5>I'm not. And I remember this getting announced like maybe
<v Speaker 5>did You're right?
<v Speaker 8>Did it play okay for you?
<v Speaker 9>Yeah?
<v Speaker 4>Great for me.
<v Speaker 8>I was one of those people who got the annoying
<v Speaker 8>hitching thing. Why I'm not, Yeah, hitches like every five seconds?
<v Speaker 5>Don't we all have the same computer?
<v Speaker 8>I know, that's the way.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, you know, we're not by anything anymore.
<v Speaker 5>Anymore.
<v Speaker 8>And it has that on console as well, I believe
<v Speaker 8>a couple of them. Yeah, it's just like it would
<v Speaker 8>every five seconds, it would like hitch for like, and
<v Speaker 8>it was like stop playing because I was like, driver,
<v Speaker 8>can I.
<v Speaker 4>Make a proposal?
<v Speaker 2>Already?
<v Speaker 4>Put it in the computer? Okay, all right?
<v Speaker 3>So currently the proposed order would be six, Call of Duty, seven,
<v Speaker 3>Silent Hill two, Persona three at eight, Elden Ring at nine,
<v Speaker 3>Thank goodness you're here at ten.
<v Speaker 4>Swap swapped ring, and call of Duty.
<v Speaker 5>Yes, yeah, that's when I.
<v Speaker 2>Think for call of Duty.
<v Speaker 13>God damn, I love as well.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, there you go.
<v Speaker 2>That's you do you trust me?
<v Speaker 3>It's a bad Persona is better at being was trying
<v Speaker 3>to be than Call of Duty?
<v Speaker 4>Is that what it is?
<v Speaker 2>Trying to be?
<v Speaker 1>That something like comparing like apples and snickers.
<v Speaker 2>I'm saying, I want you know.
<v Speaker 8>That it is.
<v Speaker 2>It is not my list, it is our less. So
<v Speaker 2>I am trying to compromise here. I do think that
<v Speaker 2>Persona is a better game than Black Op Sex. I
<v Speaker 2>don't know how far that takes.
<v Speaker 6>It with you, guys, I know, I honestly I think
<v Speaker 6>this looks right. I think call of Duty at nine.
<v Speaker 6>I mean normally, normally the one game that like, it's
<v Speaker 6>the Person's Patch project. Getting higher than nine is pretty tough.
<v Speaker 6>But you're gonna eight and called duty totally.
<v Speaker 9>I mean out of yeah, out of Persona three or Tree,
<v Speaker 9>so t is one I like the least. Yeah, And
<v Speaker 9>I'll say, like the campaign understand reasons hit for you,
<v Speaker 9>it just didn't hit for me.
<v Speaker 5>I felt yeah, I mean I played for the campaign.
<v Speaker 8>It is definitely doing interesting things with what you're doing
<v Speaker 8>as a Call of Duty game, but it feels like
<v Speaker 8>different shadow puppets trying to chill.
<v Speaker 4>Never I'm not one.
<v Speaker 5>It's the same thing as if I'm not.
<v Speaker 6>It's like we got to hold back the whole game
<v Speaker 6>because the campaign, like I played, called for the multi
<v Speaker 6>show for sure.
<v Speaker 1>But let me I think I'm okay with this. I
<v Speaker 1>just I do want to know because you know, we've
<v Speaker 1>talked a lot about remakes to sign you know, legacy
<v Speaker 1>and everything, not knowing Persona, but well, what is the
<v Speaker 1>level like if you have to compare it to another
<v Speaker 1>reass like.
<v Speaker 4>This is uh, sex is terrible? Yeah? Is this a
<v Speaker 4>S report?
<v Speaker 2>Is this.
<v Speaker 4>It's like a step down from Mari four?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I would say it's not just below are even
<v Speaker 2>close to that?
<v Speaker 1>It's really.
<v Speaker 4>It's not.
<v Speaker 2>It's not residable too, where it's like, oh, this is
<v Speaker 2>the game completely reimaginedn't evel four is like the best
<v Speaker 2>version of four.
<v Speaker 4>This is like a little below that word graphically, graphic
<v Speaker 4>stuff music.
<v Speaker 1>This is an extensive remakes.
<v Speaker 2>It's extensive remate.
<v Speaker 4>It's just extremely disagreeable.
<v Speaker 9>I agree with the placement of like Princeton and three
<v Speaker 9>being above culture may say two steps below like and
<v Speaker 9>how much of a remaker RESI before it?
<v Speaker 10>Well, yeah, like gradient, it is like, Yeah, I think
<v Speaker 10>thank goodness your hair is great.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I do think we kind of throw that.
<v Speaker 8>Yeah, I would say it's controversial. I put thank Goodness
<v Speaker 8>your hair above quality black op six, Personing.
<v Speaker 4>Three, load, reload and hotel.
<v Speaker 1>I would you know what, I would back you on that.
<v Speaker 1>I would one.
<v Speaker 8>I feel like originally he pushes it way high.
<v Speaker 11>It's also very confident. It doesn't overstate. It's welcome, genuinely funny, transcends.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, again, you know what, I am fine with that
<v Speaker 1>because I do think that thank Goodness you're here deserves
<v Speaker 1>to be.
<v Speaker 4>It all worked out in the hand.
<v Speaker 8>It's an unbelievable encapsulation over culture.
<v Speaker 1>Let's bring over.
<v Speaker 3>No, let's not read the list, because I think we
<v Speaker 3>can take what is currently sitting at four and five
<v Speaker 3>and move it over to the left so it is
<v Speaker 3>cemented at four and five.
<v Speaker 4>We have a conversation.
<v Speaker 6>I'm surprised by that we can have a conversation what
<v Speaker 6>order they going because I think these guys are disagreeing
<v Speaker 6>with that, and I'm willing to hear this.
<v Speaker 5>Because I don't know what they are.
<v Speaker 4>That's over there now, that's what we're talking about. Yeah,
<v Speaker 4>so what is currently.
<v Speaker 3>Sitting at four and five on the tiny spoon that
<v Speaker 3>I'm suggesting to move into the mouth? Indiana Jones in
<v Speaker 3>the Great Circle and Prince Apperge of the Lost Crown.
<v Speaker 1>Can I I'm surprisitions, Yes, maybe those positions.
<v Speaker 7>Maybe I'm surprised, like I'm surprised that this group has principle,
<v Speaker 7>would be a okay with principle.
<v Speaker 1>I'm sure. I'm also that high I get tender for one.
<v Speaker 1>Prince Persia is in the top three.
<v Speaker 4>I think.
<v Speaker 11>The one thing that we.
<v Speaker 10>Talk the one thing that we have not said about
<v Speaker 10>Prince of Persia that I think we're all glossing over,
<v Speaker 10>is the fact that the story is absolutely shite.
<v Speaker 1>It is it is true, there's nothing going on there.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, I mean, I think some of the characters, but
<v Speaker 4>I don't care.
<v Speaker 10>This is.
<v Speaker 5>This doesn't excuse it.
<v Speaker 8>But like, I can't think of very many metro video
<v Speaker 8>games that's true, have a story that many means true
<v Speaker 8>anything to me, even something like Hollow Night, I'm not.
<v Speaker 10>Yes, fine, well, I think Indiana Jones sticks all of
<v Speaker 10>that stuff.
<v Speaker 1>I think you're right, this is this is where is? Yes, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I do feel like this is one. Like staring at this,
<v Speaker 1>I could see an argument for either one two. They're
<v Speaker 1>both so good at what they do. Yeah, but Lucy's
<v Speaker 1>totally right. The story is absolutely forgettable. It's just it's
<v Speaker 1>does every other Metro Advedea I think incredibly well the
<v Speaker 1>Escape patch there is. I never felt like the story
<v Speaker 1>was getting in the whale.
<v Speaker 8>Yeah, I didn't consider it and no, Yeah, for a
<v Speaker 8>moment did I think think I'm missing something here?
<v Speaker 10>Yeah, although I mean that's true, but I mean you
<v Speaker 10>are if you're comparing it against India Jones, where I
<v Speaker 10>think there isn't a week.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, so I'm looking for like I think any of
<v Speaker 4>Jones stuff have a weak element.
<v Speaker 6>I think I think that those opening areas are too
<v Speaker 6>big and there's too much The things that you're doing
<v Speaker 6>are too routine.
<v Speaker 4>They are and none needs to find a book.
<v Speaker 5>Some need to find a book.
<v Speaker 10>And there's a lot of stuff like they were the
<v Speaker 10>ramblings of a mad priest from the fourteen.
<v Speaker 6>It's funny if like the first couple of times and
<v Speaker 6>then the tenth eleventh time, it's like it is very saemy.
<v Speaker 6>Now you get out of those areas eventually, and you
<v Speaker 6>could do less of that stuff if you want to.
<v Speaker 9>So some of it's in your control. Uh, but it
<v Speaker 9>is weak in terms of pacing. Early on, we sack,
<v Speaker 9>what do you forget about?
<v Speaker 1>You just get behind me?
<v Speaker 22>Yeah, he's still in line of the bank played Indiana Jones.
<v Speaker 22>I haven't finished a good chunk to know what's going on?
<v Speaker 5>What's your what's your fault?
<v Speaker 8>You know?
<v Speaker 7>I didn't you know I was gonna talk about like
<v Speaker 7>the stuff that's like trivial, like getting the book for
<v Speaker 7>the nun I thought that, but I felt like it
<v Speaker 7>was impressive how it it made me feel like, oh,
<v Speaker 7>this is the thing that is very crucial to Like
<v Speaker 7>that's storyline there, like as much as like Antonio's model
<v Speaker 7>and all that.
<v Speaker 6>Too, Like it's do a good job of couching that
<v Speaker 6>stuff was just going back and forth the way.
<v Speaker 4>You may doing nothing totally the way.
<v Speaker 11>And you know it's back and forth in a metrove.
<v Speaker 8>That's fun when you're jumping in for indies.
<v Speaker 5>You know, it really worked out for him that that
<v Speaker 5>place had a lot of scaffolding. The other instruction going.
<v Speaker 3>Here's some maneuvering. I think it may be presumptuous to
<v Speaker 3>assume that Blotro.
<v Speaker 2>Was in the top three.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe I will offer I think it's let me dissess
<v Speaker 1>this metaphor A five.
<v Speaker 4>Nope, no effort.
<v Speaker 1>Someone who I will not play that.
<v Speaker 5>I will suggest.
<v Speaker 1>Someone who cannot play that I was told to not
<v Speaker 1>play that.
<v Speaker 8>I will suggest, I'm goodness, you're had one.
<v Speaker 2>Oh my god, Stranger of Paradise.
<v Speaker 4>Let's Astro bought it too? I agree? Chaos, Okay, question joke.
<v Speaker 2>Do we think that the three we've been talking about
<v Speaker 2>are just top three? And that is like jokes aside.
<v Speaker 1>Seeing anything else moving?
<v Speaker 4>I can see metaphor moving, but yeah, obviously.
<v Speaker 7>Straight up, I thought we were going to land at
<v Speaker 7>current of Persia at like a two or three.
<v Speaker 4>That's what I was hoping.
<v Speaker 2>Pretty interesting metaphors, Yes, that's why I was good at Forest.
<v Speaker 4>How much is Persia to be at like three.
<v Speaker 2>Let me finish what I was trying to be forest.
<v Speaker 2>I was wondering if Prince of Persia is like another
<v Speaker 2>one of these three guys things, or if it's all
<v Speaker 2>of us the more we talked about and so just
<v Speaker 2>making sure, let me do it.
<v Speaker 1>Test here, real quick show of hands, and we'll say
<v Speaker 1>for the audio listener, who here would put Prince of
<v Speaker 1>Persia above metaphor.
<v Speaker 4>That is five? He took it back.
<v Speaker 1>He took it back. Okay back, you're the deciding, here's voting.
<v Speaker 1>Here's why I say I wouldn't.
<v Speaker 9>I think that almost everyone seems to like Prince the
<v Speaker 9>person here, and there are some people here who do
<v Speaker 9>not care about metaphor. Yeah, and look the other seems
<v Speaker 9>like the other. I'm going to be number one. Like right,
<v Speaker 9>it's if metaphors five, if it's three.
<v Speaker 8>At certain points, like we all have our ideas of
<v Speaker 8>where we think it should be, we have to also
<v Speaker 8>fill that through what way it should be For giant bomb? Yeah,
<v Speaker 8>figure out and like for me, metaphor should be high up.
<v Speaker 8>But what Mikey is saying is for giant bomb, maybe
<v Speaker 8>Prince of Preasure should be high so so.
<v Speaker 12>Like and in a way where like the my involvement
<v Speaker 12>with the website at the beginning of this year was
<v Speaker 12>different relative to my involvement with the website prior to
<v Speaker 12>me obviously being here. But like, so, we were so
<v Speaker 12>fucking high on that video game. Yes, we came out
<v Speaker 12>at the beginning of this year.
<v Speaker 9>I love it pure Yeah, eleven months ago, and sometimes
<v Speaker 9>it's hard to remember.
<v Speaker 5>Just exactly twenty years.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it seems like we all like this Prince of
<v Speaker 1>per If someone said Game of the I would yeah,
<v Speaker 1>so high on it and we were all surprised.
<v Speaker 4>Should we make it our game of the year?
<v Speaker 8>Said I listen, I did this last year, Like I
<v Speaker 8>put my my elder ring aside, Like I think another
<v Speaker 8>game is better, deserves it. This is where I started
<v Speaker 8>being like, I think it deserves it, and I think
<v Speaker 8>it deserves it partly because each one of the games
<v Speaker 8>underneath it have so much recognition in all of our
<v Speaker 8>other awards.
<v Speaker 5>And it's not just that, and it's not just that.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah.
<v Speaker 8>At the same time, it is an incredible game that
<v Speaker 8>is only diminished by circumstances. It has no control release date,
<v Speaker 8>you know, other things, and you play, is right, Lucy's right.
<v Speaker 8>The story sucks, but it's a metro venu even that
<v Speaker 8>it's it's that not even that it's a metro venue,
<v Speaker 8>it's that everything else is so good that it elevates
<v Speaker 8>it beyond. It's not even a thought that you have
<v Speaker 8>while you're playing the game.
<v Speaker 13>Okay, okay, can I.
<v Speaker 1>Can I say some think please.
<v Speaker 3>Prince of Persia, Astro, Indye Blatro metaphor whoa Okay, times
<v Speaker 3>I'm not.
<v Speaker 13>Think Okay, you start with five metaphor Indy, Yes, I.
<v Speaker 4>Think that's yes, there's always been four to me.
<v Speaker 8>I love metaphor, but it is like a many Atlas games.
<v Speaker 8>The onboarding takes a while.
<v Speaker 11>It's also a very good evolution of everything that doesn't
<v Speaker 11>fix there. It's nothing about it that is like damn.
<v Speaker 11>That is like a new awesome.
<v Speaker 4>It's very good.
<v Speaker 9>Yeah, give its fires a little bit like before we
<v Speaker 9>put it on that number five. I think it does
<v Speaker 9>a lot of things better than almost any Yeah.
<v Speaker 8>Yeah, but it couldn't do those without doing the other stuff.
<v Speaker 6>I'm okay with, Like if you people are fighting for
<v Speaker 6>it metaphor at for Indy at five, okay.
<v Speaker 1>But I don't think that's what's happening.
<v Speaker 3>Given like how everyone has been talking and like we've
<v Speaker 3>kind of been skirting around metaphor.
<v Speaker 1>There's been a skirt.
<v Speaker 3>Uh, there's been more fervor with Indie, even though that
<v Speaker 3>came out so recently.
<v Speaker 11>And that's not even punching in the dick.
<v Speaker 8>Yeah, Nazis in the dick.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, Nazis.
<v Speaker 1>And that's I don't.
<v Speaker 11>Forget the Italians.
<v Speaker 4>Keeping in mind that this is Giant bombs list.
<v Speaker 5>Sure we hate fascists, right, And with that said, I
<v Speaker 5>do think we've got one to three?
<v Speaker 4>Correct, is Indiana Jones? YEA three is Bulatro.
<v Speaker 11>Yes, that feels good.
<v Speaker 8>That feels good.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, I think we can do. I think that sounds
<v Speaker 5>I was so worried I was gonna have to like.
<v Speaker 1>There was a very good choice.
<v Speaker 4>What's happening? Yeah, okay, okay, So three proposed proposed three
<v Speaker 4>is Bulatra.
<v Speaker 1>I'm okay with that.
<v Speaker 4>Proposed number two is Astrobot Go Ahead, would be the one.
<v Speaker 7>I don't remember a game as popular as astro even
<v Speaker 7>I played two months ago, let alone twenty years. I
<v Speaker 7>remember a game ever that came along, and I know
<v Speaker 7>Astrobot has gotten its flowers time and time again.
<v Speaker 5>It won a killes.
<v Speaker 7>It's ever, right, I don't think I've seen a game
<v Speaker 7>impact this group. Well, Nicky's in the way that Astrobot
<v Speaker 7>did you like almost you, I would say, like almost universally.
<v Speaker 8>Across the board here, I agree, and I think, yeah,
<v Speaker 8>I don't want to diminish it four as a lot
<v Speaker 8>of that comes from us, from activating nostalgia, and.
<v Speaker 1>I don't want to see I think that's a.
<v Speaker 4>Thing.
<v Speaker 5>I think, No, for me, it's a big part.
<v Speaker 8>Of it, right, Like the platforming stuff is fun, but
<v Speaker 8>it is good platforming, like good and other people have
<v Speaker 8>also done really good Platforming's.
<v Speaker 1>Mario on this level, I would say, yeah.
<v Speaker 8>It's it's it's the first game that feels like it's
<v Speaker 8>Nintendo quality that isn't. But the stuff that I don't
<v Speaker 8>want to lose sight of the fact that there's some
<v Speaker 8>part of it that is like activating on nostalgia, which
<v Speaker 8>nostalgia being nostalgia pushes it so much higher just automatically
<v Speaker 8>just by being there. Like for me, it's like I
<v Speaker 8>see the Bloodborne Hunter, It's it's just there and I'm like,
<v Speaker 8>this is fucking amazing. And then I go back to
<v Speaker 8>a level which is okay, sometimes cool fun that kind
<v Speaker 8>of stuff, you know what I mean.
<v Speaker 6>Like, I think there's a million great ideas in astrobat
<v Speaker 6>I think it is except Monkey Hands.
<v Speaker 1>Except for Monkey Hands.
<v Speaker 6>I think the thing with Astrobot is it's so surprising
<v Speaker 6>because it is the one platformer that is on the
<v Speaker 6>level of Mario.
<v Speaker 5>Yes, yeah, but that got me.
<v Speaker 6>But I don't think I ever was sitting there being
<v Speaker 6>like any that makes it so much better than everything else.
<v Speaker 6>It is just like, oh, I'm so glad this exists
<v Speaker 6>and that Sony can do this now. I felt very
<v Speaker 6>similar to Prince of Persia of the Lost Crown this
<v Speaker 6>entire year.
<v Speaker 1>And let me yeah, no, no, go ahead, I was
<v Speaker 1>gonna say that astrobot Is probably haven't cemented it yet,
<v Speaker 1>but Astrobaut is probably my number one game of the year.
<v Speaker 4>You've heard me talk about it. I think one of
<v Speaker 4>the best platformers of all time. Means a time to me.
<v Speaker 1>You love that genre so much, and I don't say
<v Speaker 1>it's as good as Mario lately, but just taking the
<v Speaker 1>read of this room and the enthusiasm levels and everything,
<v Speaker 1>I kind of feel like there's maybe more for Prince
<v Speaker 1>of Persia. I feel like, really good about Principia.
<v Speaker 13>But yeah, because I never thought I had a chance
<v Speaker 13>I would have.
<v Speaker 9>I've always considered that so happy if it did, but
<v Speaker 9>I just didn't think it could happen because I don't know. Again,
<v Speaker 9>I don't know if many game comes better, and like,
<v Speaker 9>I love Astrobot and it might.
<v Speaker 4>Be my number one. And I felt that really when
<v Speaker 4>I saw it win at the Game Awards and.
<v Speaker 1>I was like, I don't know what my number one is,
<v Speaker 1>and I realized how happy.
<v Speaker 9>I was to see it when they're like, oh, it
<v Speaker 9>probably is this. That game makes me just so happy.
<v Speaker 9>But no game makes me feel more alive, maybe.
<v Speaker 1>Than I agree.
<v Speaker 8>No game feels like it has the spirit of Giant
<v Speaker 8>Bomb in the way that Giant bomb Is has always
<v Speaker 8>been like we're owned, this is gonna, this is like
<v Speaker 8>getting we're owned by a corporation, whatever it may be,
<v Speaker 8>But like this is this is a website that started
<v Speaker 8>as an underdog story, right is. It's this little game,
<v Speaker 8>not even little game. It's this game that was up
<v Speaker 8>against all odds like Giant bomb is, and everyone here
<v Speaker 8>gets behind that story. We're all here because we eat
<v Speaker 8>that connected with us in so many ways, and it's
<v Speaker 8>what it's the energy we put out there into the
<v Speaker 8>world as well. In everything we do, like we are
<v Speaker 8>trying to put that kind of like we are underdogs.
<v Speaker 8>We're doing our best hair, We're not trying to play
<v Speaker 8>by all the same rules. We have our our way
<v Speaker 8>of doing things, and we're going to stick to our
<v Speaker 8>way of doing things, because once we start doing things
<v Speaker 8>that aren't entirely us, we're not giant bomb anymore. And
<v Speaker 8>for me, I look at that game Prince of Persia,
<v Speaker 8>I'm like, if we put that at number one and
<v Speaker 8>then put out there Prince of Persia Lost Crown is.
<v Speaker 5>Game of the year, I that in my mind is
<v Speaker 5>like the fucking most giant bomb.
<v Speaker 9>Move Ever, I agree, it's somebody has to give this game.
<v Speaker 2>The credit deserves.
<v Speaker 4>It's moving the team onto other things already.
<v Speaker 1>They're not going to make a sequel, even though that
<v Speaker 1>would have been amazing.
<v Speaker 8>And before we like make any decisions, I think we
<v Speaker 8>should spend some time, a little bit of time just
<v Speaker 8>talking about that game a bit, give it its moment,
<v Speaker 8>not so we just don't say like it's game of
<v Speaker 8>the end to move on, like I think it is
<v Speaker 8>such a it feels so good in that game, and
<v Speaker 8>like I talked about the combos as well. With that
<v Speaker 8>kind of stuff. I love hitting buttons and oh my god,
<v Speaker 8>there's no game this year that makes hitting buttons feel better.
<v Speaker 8>And there's been fighting games out this year, and that
<v Speaker 8>game is unfucking believed.
<v Speaker 4>There's a little challenge rounds, like.
<v Speaker 1>When they make you play Celeste in the.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, despite being two D, it's the Devil may Cry.
<v Speaker 8>Yes, yeah, it's it's And then like maybe it doesn't
<v Speaker 8>hit for some people, but the style of the game,
<v Speaker 8>like that, it was bold. They got shipped for it,
<v Speaker 8>and they went they took Prince of Persia in such
<v Speaker 8>a different direction that I mean, they made it striking.
<v Speaker 8>They gave Prince of Persia a personality that it hasn't
<v Speaker 8>had in many, many many years, even when they tried
<v Speaker 8>to do it by making it cell shaded, Like, this
<v Speaker 8>is a cool Prince of Persia game. Again, it hasn't
<v Speaker 8>been one of those in sounds of time.
<v Speaker 9>This is an important point to me, Like this game
<v Speaker 9>is optimized to hell right, This game runs fantastic on
<v Speaker 9>switch and a where nothing runs well on switch.
<v Speaker 1>It had the thing where you know, everyone's favorite thing
<v Speaker 1>and every Metroadvenea is like, oh you get the double
<v Speaker 1>jump and oh ship everything. I tried that like seven
<v Speaker 1>different times.
<v Speaker 6>Oh ship, I can do the emotional when I got
<v Speaker 6>to double jump, that was gonna be my one of
<v Speaker 6>the best moments or sequence.
<v Speaker 1>I almost cried when I got the double.
<v Speaker 4>Jump because it was so good.
<v Speaker 6>You like put it much later in the game than
<v Speaker 6>you thought it would be, and so you get all
<v Speaker 6>this awesome cool stuff, get to mess around with it.
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, am I even gonna get a double jump?
<v Speaker 4>And get it?
<v Speaker 1>It's like, holy shit, this is what you do? And
<v Speaker 1>a grapple whatcall?
<v Speaker 8>And the amount of times I've gone into like a
<v Speaker 8>really big tricky platforming thing, I've put one of my
<v Speaker 8>recall posts don and then like gone upwards it and
<v Speaker 8>they reached like a middle point where I'm keep falling
<v Speaker 8>and stuff like that, and I'm like, fun, how am
<v Speaker 8>I gonna get this? And I get higher and take
<v Speaker 8>a jump and fuck it up and I'm falling and
<v Speaker 8>I'm like, oh, I'm so pissed off.
<v Speaker 5>And then on the phone, I'm like, I have to
<v Speaker 5>recall it.
<v Speaker 9>Is like checkpoint exactly the boomerang chakrum type, so good fucking.
<v Speaker 11>Taking pictures on the map is Metridia.
<v Speaker 13>You know what we haven't really done in the last.
<v Speaker 1>Few hours is actually talk about Bilocho.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>I think because like it has dominated so much.
<v Speaker 4>It came out fourteen times this year.
<v Speaker 6>So every time, every time is going to be the game.
<v Speaker 6>I think in ten years, I'm still playing the most.
<v Speaker 6>There's definitely something to be said for that.
<v Speaker 8>It's like it's it's become I think it's come out
<v Speaker 8>and whether it gets on or not, but in my mind,
<v Speaker 8>it's like it's become Peggle like it always. It's going
<v Speaker 8>to be like anything that gets released, it's going to
<v Speaker 8>be the future's mind sweeper, like it's going to be
<v Speaker 8>everywhere and true, it's gonna be it's going to be
<v Speaker 8>as enjoyable years from now as it is today because
<v Speaker 8>it forever.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's part of the.
<v Speaker 8>It's in the dna O video games in a.
<v Speaker 9>Similar way, just like how my favorite Metroit Van is
<v Speaker 9>like Super Metroid Siphony Night. I'll go back to those
<v Speaker 9>every five you know, so years I will be playing
<v Speaker 9>Prince of Persia.
<v Speaker 1>Iime, I'm talking about this. I'm it's all coming back.
<v Speaker 4>I'm ready to play this again.
<v Speaker 9>Yeah.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, it's it's more of that game, and it's.
<v Speaker 12>Right too, and then a thousand times resist, gag.
<v Speaker 5>I think we have a ten.
<v Speaker 2>I like this.
<v Speaker 3>Agree, yes, all right, so pull up the doc I
<v Speaker 3>have listened names, and then we'll all read them together,
<v Speaker 3>all right, Yes, your name is next to the game.
<v Speaker 3>Yes here you know, all right, Dan, if you could
<v Speaker 3>do with stee owners by starting.
<v Speaker 2>Number two in Call of Duty, Black Ops six, number nine,
<v Speaker 2>Persona three, Reload number eight.
<v Speaker 11>Silent Hill two, number seven, Thank goodness you're here.
<v Speaker 23>Number six, elden Ring, Shadow of the Tree, number five,
<v Speaker 23>Metaphor Refuntasio number four, Indiana Jones in the Great Circle
<v Speaker 23>number three, Bloctro number two, Astrobot one.
<v Speaker 18>Number one, Brace Persia. You have now found your crown.
<v Speaker 4>You might not get to make.
<v Speaker 5>You made them for fucking amazing.
<v Speaker 13>Bombs.
<v Speaker 2>This is the game of the year.
<v Speaker 5>I handed Dan a piece of paper five minutes ago.
<v Speaker 1>He says, Prince of Persia is number one. Okay, it
<v Speaker 1>says number three, Balatro number two, Prince of Persia. As
<v Speaker 1>we were another game, we.
<v Speaker 13>Were guessing back of ours. Game of the year.
<v Speaker 1>We find out we can't find out. Now we can
<v Speaker 1>find out right now, just say your game of the year.
<v Speaker 8>There.
<v Speaker 4>I don't really.
<v Speaker 1>Big one now it's extra.
<v Speaker 3>I said that too.
<v Speaker 4>Yes, Number two, it's probably I got my phone.
<v Speaker 1>Number two is selling close.
<v Speaker 8>I went down Jones because I thought you'd like to
<v Speaker 8>white colonize.
<v Speaker 1>Told Jones, you said, after I said call of duty,
<v Speaker 1>I thought it was gonna be bioho.
<v Speaker 8>I was like.
<v Speaker 5>The same thing.
<v Speaker 13>All right, all right, folks, what a season?
<v Speaker 4>What a season.
<v Speaker 13>I wouldn't want to argue games with any other.
<v Speaker 2>Group than all y'all.
<v Speaker 13>I love all of you to death. Oh sorry, thank
<v Speaker 13>you everyone.
