<v Speaker 1>And she said she has been killed. She has been murdered, <v Speaker 1>and she has been buried around somewhere in the forest <v Speaker 1>by her own family members. <v Speaker 2>The child iSER mother, but she isn't really there. Then <v Speaker 2>a voice from the forest leads to a buried truth. <v Speaker 2>Tonight we follow one listener's lifetime of encounters with something <v Speaker 2>that refuses to stay in the dark. My name is Eddie, <v Speaker 2>and here is Nitika. It's true scary story. <v Speaker 1>What are you about to hear? Are not stories that <v Speaker 1>I've ordered from people, our books or urban major legends. <v Speaker 1>These are like real experiences. And there was times when <v Speaker 1>I was like question myself, is it real? Is it not? <v Speaker 1>But then as I grew up, I sort of just <v Speaker 1>went with the flow. Some happened to me when I <v Speaker 1>was a child in India, That's my motherland. I grew <v Speaker 1>up there, I was born there. Others followed me years later. <v Speaker 1>I don't ask people to believe what I say, I <v Speaker 1>just ask you to hear me out. I was around <v Speaker 1>like four or five years old. At that age, the <v Speaker 1>world feels huge. Every staircase feels taller, every shadow feels deeper. <v Speaker 1>We were in a very larger family, like ancestral properties <v Speaker 1>in India, they're huge, so I was living there. It <v Speaker 1>was almost three stories high. The ground floor has a <v Speaker 1>living room, the kitchen, the bedrooms. The second floor was <v Speaker 1>mostly an open space that has few rooms here and there, <v Speaker 1>and the top floor is terraced. In India, most of <v Speaker 1>the terraces they're open terraces. They're very huge and they're <v Speaker 1>completely open with lower boundaries. Now, the terrace was my <v Speaker 1>favorite place. Every afternoon, I would go up there with <v Speaker 1>my smaller twice cycle with my mom and we would <v Speaker 1>have like a mother daughter's time there. But I would <v Speaker 1>always be warned by my mother, don't go near the edge. <v Speaker 1>It's lower boundaries. You will fall down. And that day <v Speaker 1>also felt normal. I remember climbing up the stairs, sunlight <v Speaker 1>was there, it was it was a very familiar feeling, <v Speaker 1>and my mother was already there. She looked like my mother, <v Speaker 1>she sounded like my mother. But something felt off, something <v Speaker 1>felt wrong. I was too young to explain at that point. <v Speaker 1>It wasn't fear exactly, it was just discomfort. It's like <v Speaker 1>a quiet feeling in your chest, you know that's it. <v Speaker 1>Something is not right. I was like, Okay, maybe I'm <v Speaker 1>just overthinking, So I kept riding my twicelecle, just enjoying, laughing, giggling. <v Speaker 1>I don't know where. My mother just called me. I <v Speaker 1>looked around and she is calling me to her. She's like, <v Speaker 1>come to me, come to your mama, and she had <v Speaker 1>her arms open as if calling me to her. I <v Speaker 1>remember answering, almost automatically. I said, but mom, the boundary <v Speaker 1>is low, right, I'm not supposed to go there. Her <v Speaker 1>expression changed when I tell you, at that moment, I <v Speaker 1>don't know what I was feeling. I felt as if <v Speaker 1>somebody just took the remote. I was watching her TV. <v Speaker 1>Somebody took the remote, and it's like a horror film <v Speaker 1>out there. I was feeling scared, like genuinely scared. Her <v Speaker 1>expression changed and she became angry. The light in her <v Speaker 1>eyes it just went away. Her face became completely something different, <v Speaker 1>and she said, don't disobey me. Come here. I don't <v Speaker 1>know why. I just ran out. I went downstairs, took <v Speaker 1>my breath, I just drank some water, and I came <v Speaker 1>back up. There was nobody there. It is empty. Entire <v Speaker 1>terrors is empty. Nobody's there. I went downstairs, in the <v Speaker 1>exact down the ground floor. Everybody was there, my mother, <v Speaker 1>my father, the extended relatives. It's like a big family <v Speaker 1>get together, so everybody was there. I went there. I <v Speaker 1>ran to my mother and I was like, Mom, you <v Speaker 1>were just upstairs with me, right She's confused. She just <v Speaker 1>looked at me. She's like, no, I thought you were <v Speaker 1>sleeping in the second floor. I'm down here. And I <v Speaker 1>started crying. I'm like, no, mom, you're with me. Please <v Speaker 1>tell me you were there with me. At that moment, <v Speaker 1>my mother looked at me. She just gave me a <v Speaker 1>half She's like, it's okay, I'm right here. I'm just <v Speaker 1>with you. And then I had a fever. When I <v Speaker 1>tell you, I had a high, high fever. I was ill. <v Speaker 1>I was not eating well for a whole week. Is <v Speaker 1>just like that. I don't remember much after that, but <v Speaker 1>we didn't leave the house. My family pecked up. They <v Speaker 1>were like, okay, we're not leaving here anymore. We just <v Speaker 1>left the house. When I grew up, I got a <v Speaker 1>little older. I was ten or twelve. That's when one <v Speaker 1>of my relatives they told me that there was an <v Speaker 1>ancestor in our house, somebody who was not a good person, <v Speaker 1>and he could not see people being happy. And I <v Speaker 1>was the child there. I was the youngest in my family, <v Speaker 1>so he wanted to hurt me, to make sure that <v Speaker 1>nobody in the family is happy staying in that house, <v Speaker 1>and that is the reason that he was calling me <v Speaker 1>towards the low boundaries. He probably would have killed me. <v Speaker 1>I don't know, but that's one of the very first <v Speaker 1>things that happened. And sometimes I do wonder what would <v Speaker 1>have happened, right if I had obeyed that instinct fear <v Speaker 1>that I had. It was real that stopped me from <v Speaker 1>going there. Even now, the event doesn't stay with me much, <v Speaker 1>but it's the feeling that stays with me whenever I <v Speaker 1>talk to people about it. It's the event, is the <v Speaker 1>feeling that happened with me. That's what it is. And <v Speaker 1>I think that's something that stays with me even today. <v Speaker 1>When I'm telling you I'm having busebounds right now and <v Speaker 1>I'm telling the story, I'm feeling scared, I'm feeling suffocated. <v Speaker 1>It's a very story that has left to mark on me. <v Speaker 1>The house is locked up. It's an answer forul property. <v Speaker 1>Nobody's taking it. It's just there. It's locked up. It's <v Speaker 1>just there. Nobody is there, nobody goes there. A priest <v Speaker 1>who when there after a while, DIDs some I don't know, blessings, <v Speaker 1>I would say, but our family's too scared to go <v Speaker 1>there because I was the youngest. I was a kid. <v Speaker 1>Everybody loved me. Everybody was like very protective of me. <v Speaker 1>So they're like, nope, bad news, So they're all just left. <v Speaker 1>My grandmother used to live there, my mother's mom, basically <v Speaker 1>my maternal grandmom. She would hear noises like she would <v Speaker 1>hear some one calling her to the upper floor. She <v Speaker 1>would live in the basement area the ground floor. Somebody <v Speaker 1>would call her upstairs with her name and ask her <v Speaker 1>to come up there. Then one day my mother heard <v Speaker 1>somebody crying upstairs, somebody in pain, you know, as if <v Speaker 1>someone is being burnt alive. That's what the pain sounded <v Speaker 1>like to her. Once after a while, one of my <v Speaker 1>family members have felt something or the other, but it <v Speaker 1>has never directly attacked anybody. This is the first time <v Speaker 1>something like this has happened where I have seen like <v Speaker 1>a manifestation of something which would have hurt me personally. <v Speaker 1>And I think that word shocked them and scared them, <v Speaker 1>and that's why we moved away. Every month, a priest <v Speaker 1>would visit us for blessings, and it's like a ritual. <v Speaker 1>In my culture, a priest would visit you some blessings, <v Speaker 1>talk to us, feel like God is with you, stuff <v Speaker 1>like that. I was around ten. I would say, that's <v Speaker 1>when a priestole my mother. Your daughter has like a gift. <v Speaker 1>She can see things. She can sense things which others can't. <v Speaker 1>She doesn't know it yet, but she has the ability <v Speaker 1>to see through what naked eyes can't. Those spirits, God <v Speaker 1>people can communicate with her. So I need to be <v Speaker 1>careful because you don't know. Right, even the devil dresses <v Speaker 1>up as a gentleman, that can happen. My mother didn't <v Speaker 1>pay attention to that at that point. But this is <v Speaker 1>the story. Happened. When I was twelve years old. I <v Speaker 1>had a very close aunt of mine. It was my <v Speaker 1>mother's elder sister. She was battling cancer. It was a <v Speaker 1>very bad breast cancer case and chemotherapy had reamed a friend. <v Speaker 1>Everybody in the family was worried about him. After three <v Speaker 1>years of time, doctor said that she will become well. <v Speaker 1>She's responding to chemotherapy and she'll get better. Everybody was <v Speaker 1>a happy, Right, Okay, she's getting better. That's a good news. <v Speaker 1>But during this period I had a dream. It felt <v Speaker 1>like a dream, more of it felt like reality. For <v Speaker 1>some reason, I found myself in her house. In my dream, <v Speaker 1>I'm in her house, but everything felt wrong. The air <v Speaker 1>was darker, the room was colder, it was heavier, like <v Speaker 1>the atmosphere itself was pressing down on me. I walked <v Speaker 1>down towards her bedroom. I passed the kitchen, the living area. <v Speaker 1>Nobody was there. I opened the door to her bedroom, <v Speaker 1>and inside the room, my aunt and her husband were sleeping. <v Speaker 1>Beside my aunt stood a huge, huge, shadow like figure. <v Speaker 1>I couldn't see the face. There was no clear face, <v Speaker 1>but I could see just the eyes. It was white like, <v Speaker 1>shining white eyes, and the figure had horns, pointed horns, <v Speaker 1>and I had a crown. That figure was wearing a <v Speaker 1>crown and a large mustache, and he was wearing very <v Speaker 1>heavy jewelries. Around Besides the figure was a massive bull. <v Speaker 1>It was silent, watchful. It was not moving. But the <v Speaker 1>bull had red eyes and it was like looking right <v Speaker 1>at me. The figure then spoke. It said I should <v Speaker 1>prepare my family and myself because it was going to <v Speaker 1>take her away. Soon asked who, and the figure pointed <v Speaker 1>out at my aunt and said her He said that <v Speaker 1>she would be leaving the world, going to heaven very soon. <v Speaker 1>That's it. I woke up. It was around four in <v Speaker 1>the morning. And in Hinduism, in my religion, that period <v Speaker 1>for am it is considered one of the most auspicious <v Speaker 1>moments period of your life, so a lot of rituals, <v Speaker 1>a lot of worshiping moments, it takes place at that point. <v Speaker 1>I didn't tell anybody about this. Later, in almost six <v Speaker 1>months period, my aunt passed away. The chemotherapy failed. Apparently <v Speaker 1>when she died, she was in a hospital. I had school, <v Speaker 1>so I was in my house. My mother and father, <v Speaker 1>my parents were the one who went to her, you know, <v Speaker 1>to the family, to you all the last rites. I <v Speaker 1>had dreamt of the hospital, that she was in, the bed, <v Speaker 1>that she was in, the room that she was in. <v Speaker 1>Nobody told me where she was, Okay, I was the <v Speaker 1>one who dreamt it. Later, when I told my parents, <v Speaker 1>they confirmed them, like, yeah, this was the same hospital, <v Speaker 1>the same bed everything. I told my mother after a while, hey, <v Speaker 1>look I had dreamt this thing. She took me to <v Speaker 1>a temple and she told the priest She's like, she's <v Speaker 1>dreaming these things, like what's going on? The priest just <v Speaker 1>looked at me and he goes, You dreamt of your brage. <v Speaker 1>Yourmorrage is the god of death in our religion. He's <v Speaker 1>the one who takes the souls towards heaven or hell, <v Speaker 1>or to next lives whatever. That's Yourmorrage. So the description <v Speaker 1>that I gave was exactly what he is supposed to <v Speaker 1>look like. I don't know whether dreams are sometimes more <v Speaker 1>than dreams, whether I received messages from somewhere. I don't <v Speaker 1>know what it was, but it's just me, you know. <v Speaker 1>I was the one who who dreamt it and it <v Speaker 1>turned out to be reality. Honestly speaking, this experience changed <v Speaker 1>something in me because till then, whatever experiences I had, <v Speaker 1>I'm not communicating with them, but I can see them. <v Speaker 1>This is the very first time something because we consider <v Speaker 1>jam Rash divine. It's a god of death in our <v Speaker 1>culture's divine. I dreamt of that. I dreamt of divinity. <v Speaker 1>I've never told the story to anybody apart from my <v Speaker 1>mother till today. Growing up, I thought it was a curse. <v Speaker 1>Why am I dreaming this? Why am I the one <v Speaker 1>being seeing this? Nobody in my family has that. So <v Speaker 1>to some extent, I was scared because I thought my <v Speaker 1>family members would think differently of me. Very religious people, right, <v Speaker 1>So what if they questioned me? What if they see <v Speaker 1>something different in me? But my mother told me. I <v Speaker 1>remember talking to her one day and she said that <v Speaker 1>God chose you for a reason. Maybe maybe there's a <v Speaker 1>reason you can see these things. Maybe you can help others. <v Speaker 1>I was an atheist growing up. I never believed in God. <v Speaker 1>I never believed in divinity nothing. I never prayed. I <v Speaker 1>was against all religion, all rituals, nothing. Once I started <v Speaker 1>these dreams, these events, that's when I became closer to God. <v Speaker 1>That's when I started praying to God. That's when I <v Speaker 1>started feeling God around you. Maybe that's the reason. I <v Speaker 1>don't know. I don't see it as a blessing or <v Speaker 1>occurs anymore. I just see it as an ability that <v Speaker 1>I have. Maybe God will tell me later how it <v Speaker 1>will help me. That's what I feel now. So my <v Speaker 1>village in India was surrounded by forest. I would go <v Speaker 1>there during holidays and stuff, you know, to visit the <v Speaker 1>people there, the extended relatives. Most houses had large backyards <v Speaker 1>that connected directly to the forest, so houses have backyards <v Speaker 1>and their fences, a big metal gate. When you cross <v Speaker 1>that fencing on the gate, it's fatest, it's dense forest. <v Speaker 1>The forest, you know, it always carries stories, that carries whispers, warnings. <v Speaker 1>It's unexplained things that people don't generally talk about, but <v Speaker 1>everybody knows. So I was around seventeen at this time. <v Speaker 1>It was around two thirty night. I was not able <v Speaker 1>to fall asleep for some reason. I was just tossing, turning. <v Speaker 1>So I just went outside in my backyard. It's pitch black, <v Speaker 1>but I was just on my phone doing something. I <v Speaker 1>noticed a figure right by the fencing and the gate. <v Speaker 1>I saw a young woman, maybe she was around in <v Speaker 1>her twenties, early twenties. She was standing there. She had <v Speaker 1>a very distorted like look on her face. Her hair <v Speaker 1>was matted, her clothes were ripped off or something like dirty. <v Speaker 1>And she called me by my name, and she did <v Speaker 1>not call me by Nteka. That's my government name. That's <v Speaker 1>everybody in my workplace and in professional setting calls me. <v Speaker 1>It's my nickname, which my family member calls me. City <v Speaker 1>that's what she calls me by. I looked at her. <v Speaker 1>I just started going in said okay, I don't want <v Speaker 1>to deal with this. I just go inside whatever. But <v Speaker 1>then she said, stop, don't go. She was talking in <v Speaker 1>my native language, of course, she said, please just listen. <v Speaker 1>I need your help. Just listen. I don't know. Something <v Speaker 1>in me just told me I couldn't just leave right. <v Speaker 1>So I was like, I just looked at her, and <v Speaker 1>she said, she has been killed. She has been murdered, <v Speaker 1>and she has been buried around somewhere in the forest <v Speaker 1>by her own family members. Why because she fell in <v Speaker 1>love with someone who is from a different family name <v Speaker 1>and cultural background. So the family members do not approve it. <v Speaker 1>You might sound weird to some people, but it's a <v Speaker 1>very common thing. Unfortunately, in a lot of places in <v Speaker 1>my country. It's called honor killing. But the family members <v Speaker 1>kill decades if they fall in love with somebody who <v Speaker 1>was not of the same last name, same cultural background, <v Speaker 1>or same family background. It's a very unfortunate thing, but <v Speaker 1>it happens. So she told me that, and her voice <v Speaker 1>felt desperate. She was asking me to help. She said, <v Speaker 1>just inform the authorities do something. And she was crying. <v Speaker 1>And while she was crying, she disappeared. I was just <v Speaker 1>standing there for a second for a minute. I don't <v Speaker 1>know what to do. It was around early in the morning, <v Speaker 1>around seven or something. I was like, maybe I should go. <v Speaker 1>Something within me, like a voice told me you should go. <v Speaker 1>So I did. I went to the authorities. Nobody believed me. <v Speaker 1>Of course. I took my father with me. I'm like, Dad, <v Speaker 1>this is what happened, and I'm glad you have such experience. <v Speaker 1>They believe me. They'll like, okay, we'll go with you. <v Speaker 1>My dad went with me. We went to the authorities. <v Speaker 1>Around one of the police officers, the higher inspector, was there. <v Speaker 1>He's like, okay, there's nothing wrong in checking it out. Okay. <v Speaker 1>So they went to the exact area where she told <v Speaker 1>me her body was there. They were human remains there. <v Speaker 1>It was bones, of course, but there were human remains. <v Speaker 1>The circumstances match what she had told me. So they <v Speaker 1>went to the family. They checked around. The family had <v Speaker 1>fled back then or something. I don't know, but it's true. <v Speaker 1>The family members had filed a missing complaint to sort <v Speaker 1>of like cover up what they did, I guess. So <v Speaker 1>they found it. They matched it. The DNA samples were done. <v Speaker 1>It took like almost a year or something, but they <v Speaker 1>figured out what had happened, and whatever she told me, <v Speaker 1>that's exactly what had happened. I remember she requested one <v Speaker 1>thing before she vanished. She said, make sure I will <v Speaker 1>am cremated. In my religion, premission is the way you <v Speaker 1>get to the other side. So we did that. But <v Speaker 1>that's what happened. This moment forced me to question what <v Speaker 1>is wrong with me? You know, am I the one <v Speaker 1>who has been chosen by God? Is it reality? Is <v Speaker 1>it psychological? What is it? Maybe that day I had <v Speaker 1>damped this, but I did went through the authorities. They investigated, <v Speaker 1>it happened, so it's the reality. <v Speaker 3>Right. <v Speaker 1>This is back in my university. I was in the <v Speaker 1>New Delays, the capital of India. I'm twenty twenty one. <v Speaker 1>I'm in my second or third year of my university <v Speaker 1>and I'm living in a hostel in the university. My <v Speaker 1>university was in the outskirts of the city, so more <v Speaker 1>closer to the huge grounds and farm lands. And there's <v Speaker 1>a humor every college. I feel our university, your school <v Speaker 1>has like a rumor that there is a ghost here. <v Speaker 1>But I didn't believe much. Whatever it was my exam <v Speaker 1>sessions going on, and I never studied in libraries or <v Speaker 1>in my classes, I would always like doing my room right. <v Speaker 1>For some reason, I felt more comfortable. At that day, <v Speaker 1>there was some celebration going on in the hostel, so <v Speaker 1>I was getting disturbed. I went to one of my <v Speaker 1>one of our classrooms. So people who stayed in the <v Speaker 1>hostel near the college, they have access to use the <v Speaker 1>university after hours, so one of the one of the <v Speaker 1>classrooms those quiet. So I started studying. Then I hear <v Speaker 1>so I looked back. I saw a guy, a very <v Speaker 1>handsome guy, who's sitting there and he was just smiling <v Speaker 1>at me. He's hands right, his elbows were on top <v Speaker 1>of the table and I could just see till his <v Speaker 1>chest area. I couldn't see anything beyond that. This is <v Speaker 1>looking at me and smiling. Just smiled back, and I <v Speaker 1>continued doing what I had to do. A minute passed, <v Speaker 1>I heard this down again. I looked back again, and <v Speaker 1>the guy he's in the same way that he was, <v Speaker 1>but in a different position. He's nearer to me. Last <v Speaker 1>time I saw, he was in the last eight leg <v Speaker 1>bench in the chair. Now he's a little nearer to me, right, <v Speaker 1>So I turned around again, didn't pay much attention, started <v Speaker 1>studying again. Again, he heard the same noise. Turn around, <v Speaker 1>saw that guy. He was like behind two three tables, <v Speaker 1>was pretty near. Now I'm scared. I didn't think ghost <v Speaker 1>back then. Honestly, I thought this one creepy guy, I <v Speaker 1>should go. So I tacked up my bags and as <v Speaker 1>I'm leaving, I hear the sound again and I looked back. Immediately. <v Speaker 1>I don't know what this person was. He was moving <v Speaker 1>from one table to another using his elbows. Like his elbows, <v Speaker 1>he was using that to move. He had no body. <v Speaker 1>I could see the head, the neck, the chest to <v Speaker 1>some extent, but that's it. He was using his elbows <v Speaker 1>to move. And that's why I could hear the doctutut <v Speaker 1>sound on the table. That's what was going on. I ran, <v Speaker 1>I left everything. I just ran from that place. I <v Speaker 1>screamed so much. The security came running in. They're like, oh, yo, <v Speaker 1>what's going on. Okay. I was like, just take my <v Speaker 1>stuff from the classroom. I'm not going there, and I <v Speaker 1>just went and slept in my friend's bedroom. That day. <v Speaker 1>I didn't I didn't live alone from that moment. When <v Speaker 1>I told my one of my friends backed then, I <v Speaker 1>was like, yo, this is what I saw, and she's <v Speaker 1>like yeah, a lot of people see or hear noises <v Speaker 1>in that classroom. Apparently somebody, like a guy or something, <v Speaker 1>he was not able to do well in his studies. <v Speaker 1>He was very under pressure because in India, education is <v Speaker 1>a very pressured thing. Families have a lot of expectations. <v Speaker 1>If we don't do well, a lot of students commit <v Speaker 1>to suicide. And India is there number one or two <v Speaker 1>positions in students suicides. This guy, he committed suicide in <v Speaker 1>that classroom. And from then on, people do hear weird stuff. <v Speaker 1>They see chairs movings, they might see books flying off, <v Speaker 1>they might hearways. And I saw a manifestation of that thing. <v Speaker 1>Of course, I stayed away from that classroom. The moment <v Speaker 1>the sun went down, I'm out. I'm very wary of <v Speaker 1>gravey els and cemetries. I stay away from them. I <v Speaker 1>stay away from the last rites area in my country <v Speaker 1>where the body is burned and permitted. I stay away <v Speaker 1>from those areas. I stay away from hospitals. I don't <v Speaker 1>like hospitals. I don't like visiting these places because I <v Speaker 1>might say something I don't know. I feel a very <v Speaker 1>strong presence of something. I feel vibrations, I feel extreme <v Speaker 1>either heat or cold. When I'm in these areas and <v Speaker 1>I can feel shivers running down my spine, I can <v Speaker 1>feel whispers around, I can feel somebody maybe touching me, <v Speaker 1>somebody maybe just rests standing beside me, somebody standing behind me. <v Speaker 1>I can have these feelings really strong, so I avoid <v Speaker 1>these places as much as I could. This happened to <v Speaker 1>me in Canada. Okay, now I'm in Canada. It's been <v Speaker 1>three years. I live in Ontario, so even after moving <v Speaker 1>to Canada, experiences don't stop. A couple of weeks ago, <v Speaker 1>almost a month back, I was walking home from work <v Speaker 1>really late, so I lived really near to my workplace, <v Speaker 1>but it's like a ten minutes walking distance, so I <v Speaker 1>was doing night shifts. It was around two thirty or <v Speaker 1>three in the morning when I finished my work, and <v Speaker 1>I was working now. For some reason, I took a <v Speaker 1>different route than necessary. It was very snowy, so one <v Speaker 1>of the routes that I take was very slippery, so <v Speaker 1>I thought maybe I should take another route just to <v Speaker 1>be safe. I don't want to fall down. But I <v Speaker 1>didn't know that this route passed smetry a wave yard. <v Speaker 1>I'm walking, I'm listening to a music or something. The <v Speaker 1>sweet sempty. Nobody's there quite in the way that almost <v Speaker 1>feels unnatural, I should say. As I walked past, I <v Speaker 1>looked at the cemetery. I noticed a figure just standing <v Speaker 1>inside the graveyard, near a gravestone, a long French coat, <v Speaker 1>a hat, head lowered like as if staring at the ground. <v Speaker 1>He had gloves on. He had the huge boots that <v Speaker 1>you wear that comes still your knees, very black and <v Speaker 1>leather boots. He was wearing those. I glanced once, and <v Speaker 1>I kept walking. I told my son not to think <v Speaker 1>about it. I told my son not to look again, <v Speaker 1>but something made me look again. I don't know what <v Speaker 1>it was. I looked again. I glanced at the figure again. <v Speaker 1>He was not looking down anymore. The figure was staring <v Speaker 1>right at me, directly at me. His eyes were red, <v Speaker 1>literally red. His skin was cracked. His lips were extremely dry, <v Speaker 1>as if it would just fall out at any moment. <v Speaker 1>He had long hair that I can see now. Slowly, <v Speaker 1>he shot a crooked smile in my direction. He looked <v Speaker 1>at me, and he had a smile on his face. <v Speaker 1>And it was not a welcoming smile. It was a creepy, <v Speaker 1>creepy smile. It was a scary smile. The moment that happened, <v Speaker 1>I ran before I could think anything else. I ran <v Speaker 1>in the opposite direction of the place, and I saw <v Speaker 1>a nearby church. I don't know why it was open <v Speaker 1>so late, but I went there. I just stood near <v Speaker 1>that and I prayed till I could feel my breath <v Speaker 1>to come back. I called my mother up and I <v Speaker 1>was like, Mom, I saw this. She's in India, by <v Speaker 1>the way. I'm like, I saw this. I'm so scared, <v Speaker 1>and my mother is like, it's okay. God is with you. <v Speaker 1>Don't worry, it's okay. Don't think about it. I did <v Speaker 1>not wanted to go back home because I was scared <v Speaker 1>that thing will follow me. So I stayed there till <v Speaker 1>it was around five in the morning and I could <v Speaker 1>see some cars passing by. I could see a little <v Speaker 1>bit of light coming up. That's when I felt comfortable <v Speaker 1>enough to go back to my place. When I did, <v Speaker 1>of course, I prayed, I took a shower, I ate something. <v Speaker 1>I told my friends about it. I don't think about <v Speaker 1>it anymore, and of course, as you know, I don't <v Speaker 1>take that route anymore. These things happen, and it's not <v Speaker 1>just nighttime. In daytimes, I can see stuff that I <v Speaker 1>feel it's a human being, but then I say, okay, <v Speaker 1>it's not. And there's a way I check these things. <v Speaker 3>Now. <v Speaker 1>When I'm walking down the road, it's twelve pm, it's <v Speaker 1>like the afternoon, and I see somebody standing there. But <v Speaker 1>then I cross that person, look that nobody's there. So <v Speaker 1>these things happen here and there, and I've learned to <v Speaker 1>ignore it because I don't want to. I don't know, <v Speaker 1>get involved with this anymore. I don't have my family here. <v Speaker 1>I feel i'm alone here. I have my friends, sure, <v Speaker 1>but it's a foreign country. I have a lot of <v Speaker 1>responsibilities on my shoulder. I don't want this anymore. So <v Speaker 1>sometimes I just cry out to God. I'm like, just <v Speaker 1>take this ability away, whatever this is. But then it's <v Speaker 1>still there. So I've learned to I guess control it. <v Speaker 1>I take in certain precautions of men, to avoid certain <v Speaker 1>places as much as I could, to avoid certain things <v Speaker 1>as much as I could. Does help to some extent. <v Speaker 1>But as this happened, right, I saw this thing out <v Speaker 1>of nowhere. I've met people who have validated me for <v Speaker 1>sure that there's nothing wrong with you. You know, it's a gift. <v Speaker 1>I've met with priests or spiritual leaders or some sort. <v Speaker 1>I don't know how much of truths they have within <v Speaker 1>what they're doing, but they tell me they're like, yeah, <v Speaker 1>it happens, there's nothing wrong in it. But I've not <v Speaker 1>met anybody who has experienced things just like I have, <v Speaker 1>or experienced this thing just like I do. Maybe in <v Speaker 1>the future, I. <v Speaker 2>Hope these kinds of stories of people who have experienced <v Speaker 2>things from a very very young age. As we were <v Speaker 2>talking with Natika, like during the actual call, we were <v Speaker 2>talking about how certain cultures you'd call them, certain regions <v Speaker 2>where people have different ideas of what the paranormal or <v Speaker 2>the supernatural is like In my family, for example, when <v Speaker 2>I can say something like I saw something out in <v Speaker 2>the fields, turns out I'm not going to get a <v Speaker 2>You're just seeing things right, They're going to be like, WHOA, <v Speaker 2>tell me more. And this is a similar thing that <v Speaker 2>I received with Natika during the phone call, that her <v Speaker 2>experiences were acknowledged. People already assumed, you know that there <v Speaker 2>is a supernatural realm, there are things that are happening <v Speaker 2>out there. So I feel like that itself reinforces more <v Speaker 2>of our minds to stay open about the paranormal. I mean, <v Speaker 2>it's just a theory that I have, but I'm interested <v Speaker 2>in knowing what you think. I mean, I received phone <v Speaker 2>calls about scary stories in English and in Spanish, and <v Speaker 2>I know that some of the mentality that goes behind <v Speaker 2>the paranormal in I guess, in Latin American countries so far, <v Speaker 2>and also people from India and other countries, it's very <v Speaker 2>open to other things happening. And I always feel like <v Speaker 2>this openness is what sharpens our I guess, sensitivity to <v Speaker 2>the supernatural, you know. But again it's just it's just <v Speaker 2>my own perspective and I'm very interested in finding out yours. <v Speaker 2>But yeah, that was Let me know what you think <v Speaker 2>about this episode. Let me know what you thought about <v Speaker 2>the stories. And if dreams can become premonitions, can dreams <v Speaker 2>tell the future? Can they predict something that's about to happen? <v Speaker 1>Let me know. <v Speaker 2>This episode was edited and sound designed but Sarah Vorhez <v Speaker 2>Windel a BW sound with additional production by me Edwin Karubias, Jackashavis, <v Speaker 2>with scheduling and also scheduling from Sophia Petes.
