Yeah, it's the Internet. You're busy. Let's do this. I'm Jeff grab I right for GamesBeat dot com. Hang out over here on giant bomb where I do grub snacks. This show where we talk about video games. We try to go in depth, we try to hit all the subjects. We try to bring some news whenever we can. Uh, it's it's a fun time. One thing that makes it especially fun is you can go to giant bomb dot com slash chat and you can answer or you can ask your questions yourself. You could be part of the show. There's an ask a question button there all the way at the top of the page. Just go up there somewhere and if you can click on that you could. It will just shoot right to me and I'll do my best to get to it. If you were watching on twitch, first of all, hello, thank you. I appreciate you. You want to ask a question? Hop over GiantBomb dot com. Slash upgrade enables you to become a member of the community and interact with us in fun and interesting ways. Yeah, I got a few things I want to talk about. Not much. There's there's a handful of things, but in general, I kind of wanted to like do like an update on what's happening with the game mess overall. So, as many of you are aware, E three you canceled this year not gonna happen in any way, shape or form. We are going to get Jeff. We are going to get Jeff Keeley's summer game fast of course. So where does stuff stand when it becomes to either doing your own show or doing something with Jeff Keeley like what a lot of publishers designed to do. Well, you know, I kind of had a hunch that this week is when we would be hearing about Xbox. We found out today Xbox confirmed that they are going to be doing their show on June twelfth, just like we talked about on this show a few weeks ago. Like they are going to maintain that same E three timing that they always had a lot of this comes down to momentum. They have teams in place, you know, I think we had this exact conversation last week when we were kind of leading up into this. They have teams in place that sort of just operate on these schedules. It's why people always look to like, well past Nintendo has done this, so we expect them to do that. Again, a lot of that is just work momentum, where like they are budgeted out to do things like these things, so you kind of just end up doing them. Also, I just think that Xbox has put a lot of effort into getting E three right, and they're not going to just give up on that just because E three gave up. So yeah, I would expect their showcase to end up looking a lot like last year's showcase, hopefully though even better. I thought last year's show was pretty good for them. I think if they could go all out with Starfield and then have a few other nice surprises, I'll be really excited about what they have to offer now. I know people are going to ask about it. I so far, I don't know too much about exactly what's going to be in the show. But even when I do, it's not the exactly the kind of thing where I'm like, let's just you know, spoil this thing that you're gonna get to see for yourselves. Anyhow, last year, what we did is as people were talking about, oh, pretty sure Vowed's going to be in there, I'm like, guys, a Vowd's not going to be in there, Like let's just let's rip that band aid off. It's not gonna be there, please stop expecting it. That's kind of where I was, like trying to put my knowledge that I had put it to use, helping people set their expectations correctly. At the end, it worked out pretty well, and I think that's probably what ILL end up doing this year, if I'm even able to track this stuff down. There's no guarantee overall, though it does seem and maybe this is me taking a leap from I'm not hearing about much too. Therefore there isn't much. But in the past, when I've made those leaps, it's usually been pretty accurate. So let's I'll be completely honest. I haven't heard much about what other companies are doing. When I have heard, the answer has been, we're not planning to do anything ourselves. Now. I think EA is a good example. Is a good one that we understand because they've confirmed publicly they're not going to be doing their EA play showcase, which what has been their stand in for E three for the last several years. But they were also not trying to like put their other games in other big showcases that other companies probably will like say, hey, Xbox play stage Summer Game Fest, where can we fit in our stuff with you that they're not necessarily always Look, the rule reason eas not doing that is they found a home for their one big game that's kind of coming up, and that's Star Wars Jedi two. We'll talk a little bit more about that, because one of the things I think I said on the show weeks ago start of popping up again on Twitter and then on reading I see it was like reading gaming leaks and rumors. It's like one of the number one stories there. So we'll talk about that's that game here in a second. But it's a good example of like, these companies aren't necessarily trying to force an E three showcase when they don't have one themselves. So what does this mean for you and for me covering this stuff and trying to keep track of the game mess. I think my gut here tells me that we are going to be dealing with a situation where most big announcements will find homes at showcases that we will all be watching. Anyhow, I would expect the Xbox showcase to be pretty big. That's when we do know for sure is coming now. I would expect a summertime to know direct to be pretty big. Even if it's gonna have a lot of its own games, and they tend to partner with a lot of their familiar like third party smaller developers, they will also find a way to bring in some big games. The big question mark there is is will PlayStation have its own showcase in the summer time frame. They will have another one this year, I think, but will it happen in the summertime frame. I'm increasing of the opinion that they will, but that's not based on anything that I've heard for sure. But you know, it's kind of like it just makes sense because with Godivor sort of still in limbo while we wait for that, they'd be nice to have some other stuff for people who are at MPs fives to look forward to. And you know, they're also still going to have like the call of duty like co marketing thing and you want to show off, you know, the campaign thing at some point. So these big companies probably still are going to have their showcases at some point. I just think all the publishers below there seemed less and less likely that they're going to do their own thing. Like I don't see Ubi Soft running their own showcase, and we'll talk about you be Soft as well before we get to the questions. So, uh, it's it's still gonna be a mess. My hope is it's it's a little bit less of a mess. And and then the big thing there is to sort of facilitate the you know, that clean up process is Jeff Keeley has proven himself last year, uh, you know, with the with the Summer Game Fest and with the you know, the Game Awards. He has shown repeatedly that he knows how to draw a crowd and to put together a show. And so if you are one of these companies that has won two games and you were like thinking about putting together a showcase around those one two games and then trying to force some other stuff in there that didn't even make sense, well, why don't you just go to Jeff Kelley and see if you could fill out the Summer Game Fest with him. He will likely find a way to accommodate a big publisher. So uh, that's the way it seems like the industry is trending fewer specialized shows from many of these companies. Maybe some like packages that they send over as assets to Jeff Keeley or Xbox or PlayStation or maybe Nintendo something like that. So kind of maybe just a bunch of big shows and not a million well, okay, on the other side, I say not a million little shows. On the other side of that, there will be a lot of little independent shows run by you know, Future Publishing and whatever. The wholesome game show. We'll get a million of those, and I'm sure like Randy Pitcher will find a way to put one of his new games in every single one of those shows again this year as well, so we'll do our best to keep tracking that. Once we start getting some more of these dates, I think I'll begin bringing the Game mess calendar onto this show. I'll get that set up in obs here so we can like go over that each week and make updates as needed. Okay, let's talk about Star Wars Jedi two. Star Wars Jedi two is kind of the name I'm going with because I'm pretty sure they're gonna be dropping. They're gonna be dropping the fall in order name and yeah, well yeah, they're drop of the following. So it's Star Wars Jedi two. H it is. It is next gen only, new gen only. I say new gen, some people say next gen, people say it's a misnomer because it's current gen whatever. It doesn't really feel like current gen because very few games have been only on the current gen h So it's gonna be new gen only where it's PS five, Xbox Series x ands and then of course PC. And one of the reasons that they were going to be able to do that is because it's not coming out till twenty twenty three. This game is for sure now not coming out till twenty twenty three. That is, you know, I guess a slight disappointment, but I feel like we've been like preparing people for that on the show every time we talk about it, every time it comes up. I said they were targeting twenty twenty two, but no one should really get their hopes up for that. It almost certainly is gonna be twenty twenty three. Well, now, for sure, we could say it is in definitely twenty twenty three. But you know that that does has some upsides. They don't have to worry about trying to like straddle these generational lines. They can just launch it, and I guess they could have done that late twenty twenty two is what you would say to that, But still it makes it easier to just you know, disassociate yourself with those millions of PS fours and Xbox ones. I guess out in the world when you are in twenty twenty three, and it's gonna be what you're gonna have several months of making it very easy to get an Xbox Series X probably a few more months between now and then where it's actually okay to get a PS five. So yeah, and then at the same time you can take advantage of it and do something that feels new. You know, that was a pretty late generation game last time, so yeah, you could try to just do that all again. But if you're gonna push things forward, you probably want the new hardware. Uh, that's a game that we will be hearing about at again. You know. I said this last week, but then Star Wars Celebration put out their agenda and it's nowhere on the agenda. They don't see anything about Respawn. They don't say anything about that game nothing. It's gonna be there, don't it's just not on the agenda. It'll show up there. It'll be a pretty big deal. It's not going to have its own panel you know, I think when they did Star Wars Jedi one, right, they had its own its own panel right where they're like, Okay, we're gonna sit down and talk about what this game is going to be and all that stuff. That's not happening this time, but they will be showing off new stuff from the game. I think, probably announcing the name. I guess, I guess we'll all see, We'll see. Uh. And then this Ubisoft thing I wanted to talk about because early earlier this year, after Activision, after Microsoft announced it was acquiring Activision, I mentioned on this show that every publisher that I was able to get any word from, like from the teams that handled their their like executive positioning about how they want to position themselves in the marketplace, we're having panicked meetings about what this meant for their future. And it's not just at like one publisher. This was true across the board. Ubisoft was definitely one of the those companies at that time. And and and by panic, I mean I think they were immediately considering every possible option. Everything was on the table, not just like going to Microsoft hat in hand saying please buy us, sir. It was every possible scenario was on the table, and I think that means that something like private equity was a possibility. A lot of the things that applied to Activision, a lot of the reasons Activision wanted out. The executive leadership at Activision applies to you be soft, to variant, to like differing levels, but like it checks all the same boxes. They have had many reports of a toxic work environment that they've struggled to uh to justify and then replace and and to put other people in charge that will eliminate the tox of work work environment. They've struggled, and they seem to not have the will to undo a lot of that damage. They are in a situation where they're getting into a routine with many of their games, and they're trying to like shift away to this other way of doing things where they have a lot more live service stuff, and in the process they're sort of losing. They're taking fewer risks, it seems like. And they also don't necessarily know what like the future of Assassin's Creed looks like right now. They don't know what the future of all of their big franchises look look like right now, and when they do have a stumbling block, like when not it was a wild Lands when wild Lands comes or the other one what I can't I can never remember it. It's such a bad name. But when that Ghost Recon game comes out and it stumbles out of the release block and everyone's like, oh yeah, it's it's kind of just kind of boring. I don't want to play at breakpoint, thank you, thank you chat Like when people see that happen, they're like, Okay, it doesn't seem too exciting. I guess we'll just wait and see what yourself has next. Ubiself was like, oh my god, this is bad. One game didn't do well. We have to delay everything, we have to rethink everything. This is really bad. And it was like, wait, what, why is it this bad? Why are you panicking this much? And I think that goes to show how much risk is involved with every single one of these games. If every single one of these big games doesn't hit, ubisoft growth is shot and we go back to the situation of where we talk about like, hey, if you're not growing year over year, you are not satisfying with the investors want they're gonna want you out, and the path for growth for Ubisoft going forward is a question mark. We they have grown pretty much through the current strategy as much as much as they can. It seems like to keep growing they would have to regularly be introducing new franchises that are as big as Assassin's Creator Far Cry, and that's that was their plan through the last decade. They were repeatedly doing that, getting new things at place. They were like, hey, we're gonna do this with Watchdogs, But then Watchdogs didn't quite become one of those things, right, We're not everyone's clamoring for the next Watchdogs. It's hard to do that. So and even when you do do that, now you have to hire a huge new teams and it takes even longer to make games, and you're even more bloated. And then even if one of these games doesn't hit and another game gets delayed, you're in your baddodo again. So the pathway forward for you Wesoft isn't obvious. So if you are in charge of that company and you've kind of succeeded at at the strategy you implemented a decade ago, and now you are at that point, and we talked about a couple of shows ago. We stopped moving from that blueprint model of Okay, here's a Watchdogs IP blueprint. We're gonna keep making games in that blueprint. Here's an Assassin's Creed blueprint. We're gonna keep doing that. They've moved from that to the mother Ship and then you know the little attack ship model where the mother ship is going to be like a big live service game in each one of these brands, and then they're gonna have a lot of offshoot games that come out more frequently. Well who they don't really know if that model is gonna work yet, and they knew the last one did, but it's sort of reached its zenith. It's sort of reached its you know, the diminishing returns now, So they don't know. And when you I have this uncertainty and then you have this toxic work environment and you have and Yves gamos Son left the company a few a few months ago, which I think I meant to talk it up on on this show, and I never did. I feel like I didn't have exactly the right angle on that. But now we do. Yves gamos Son left Ubisoft. He's not at like game Loft or whatever anymore either. Whatever it is, like the weird mobile version of Ubisoft. I actually don't know the exact relation, but yeah, so it seems like, hey, instead of keeping this business in the family and like passing on to my my progeny, I'm just gonna sell to whoever's gonna pay the most. And that might be private equity, and that would be really bad. I'm not exactly an expert on private equity, but every time I look about what look at what private equity does to companies like this, they tend to all right, we're going to take them on, and we're gonna take out a bunch of loans using their credit, and then we're gonna pay ourselves a bunch of bonuses, and then we're gonna go bankrupt. All right, peace out. That's what they did with Toys r US And again that's this is not a great I don't have like a lot a huge body of evidence to look at all. I mean, and who knows private some private equity firms might be good guys. It seems like a weird thing to say. Probably not actually right, But that doesn't mean that's the only option on the table for you. Be soft. Like I said, they're they're probably considering everything they are probably considering ten Cent. I don't know how much ten Cent's going to be willing to spend on them. Maybe they will, but they'll probably They're probably like looking around, like if this is a different industry, they would probably be considering something like a merger. But uh, there's not a lot of suitors out there that makes sense for you be soft where it's like, hey, we're about the equal size. If we can come together, we could sort of be this mega company that really could take on the future, and our growth would be more certain because we have a lot more variety now and we have we own more of the market. And I don't know, I just don't know if the companies that sort of fit that bill would be into that. But but I have no insight, so I don't know. But yeah, either way, I do. I think Ubisoft probably will continue looking at this stuff. That doesn't mean that it'll it'll go through. Every company's always looking at these things. You know. We saw Microsoft hire put up a job listing this week for someone to help them with more acquisitions. And that's just like the reality of the world right now that it's a full time job at most of these companies to figure out, you know, can we be acquired, can we merge who can we acquire? And there's people on these staffs just working on that stuff constantly, so it's like they will probably continue doing that. And when it comes to Ubisoft, I don't know. I would play it like a fifty fifty point flip about whether or not they continue the way they are. Is this public company or if they do get acquired turned to private by private equity or whatever, we'll see. Yes, the super Embracer Eurogroup, right, but I believe that the nation in robot jocks right or robo jacks. Okay, that does it for what I wanted to talk about. Let's get to these questions. Let's get to the questions. I'm gonna scroll on down here from Nylock here, let's start there. Who will fill the Tom Nook role role in Disney's Dream Light Valley. I hope I get to play as Tom Nook where I am handing up the loans to Goofy and I show up at his door and say, you didn't pay, motherfucker, give me those knees. And so it's just a dream of mine. From Christian arg Major League two is better than Major League one. I will have to watch him again. I don't think that's true, but you know, they're both fun movies. I do remember liking them both his kids A Major League one was rated R though, so I probably didn't watch it quite as much. But still, yeah, I have like both movies from joeju twenty two. Who should be the father in the It Takes two movie? And why should it be Kevin James. That's just a beautiful, beautiful notion right there. Yeah, that's absolutely you should be Kevin James. I guess who should be the mom? I don't know, Oh, it should be the wife from all his shows. Remember when he did that one show with that wife and then that show ended, and then Kevin James started another sitcom and had a different actress play as wife on that show, and the show didn't do very well, so they replaced that wife with the wife from the old show. That's one of my favorite things. That's like, oh, hey, they just want the old wife, Go get the old wife. God, Kevin James. What an American hero From Doug Foot, Good Morning, mister Snacks. Even though the Red Wings are out, are there any teams you're rooting for in the Playoffs. As someone who lives about an hour from Toronto, I hope the Leaves lose in the first round again just out of spite. I kind of want to see the Maple Leaves win because I think it would be I think that country would just get set on fire, uh and that would be fun to watch. But I also like, kind of want to see Austin Matthews winks. A lot of other people hate Austin Matthews, and I think they hate him because he's American and they're like, ah, already he's on the Toronto It's not even real, which is weird. But I don't know, really, I'm I think I like a lot of the people on Florida Florida Panthers, I think i'd like to see them win. But if Colorado Avalanche win, I won't be mad either. It's it's come a long way since twenty five years ago when they were like the biggest rifle against the Red Wings. Let's see from Dude long couch, good morning, Mr grub Any. Idea if Fumutu from Fumito Yueita is working on these days. I don't think we've heard anything from him or his team in quite a while. Yeah, I was actually starting to go through some of the the old questions I had that I put on my my follow up list and I had I didn't really have time, but I was kind of like this show. I didn't have much earlier this week, so I was like, let me look and see if there's anything here. And Fumittoa has been on that since the very beginning, and I was like, I'll begin poking. And I haven't heard anything yet, and I'm not sure if there's much to hear. But I mean we've we've seen that companies kept work on stuff and secret for a couple of years. Now. What was the last example that Ron Gilbert working on the new Hirate game, the new Guybrush Threepwood game Secret of Monkey Island, So that can happen. Maybe he's working on Secret of Monkey Island seven or whatever. Few way does Secret of Monkey Island seven from Tom Payne Well, Eternal Darkness ever come back in some way. It's probably the single best game that you can't play on PCU or modern consoles. I don't think so. I think that Nintendo is probably not going to try to like bring it back, and they don't have Dennis Dyak around anymore yelling at them to bring it back. So I really don't think it. I mean, it does work on an emulator, he I think. I think Tomas Payne here means that it doesn't it's not available on Steam or whatever. But but yeah, it's probably just gonna remain uh an archive or you know, an artifact of that time, and that's it. I think it's very unlikely that that particular franchise comes back from THEO Hucks. What's a controversial game opinion you have, either games or the gaming industry in general. I don't know. Well, I mean, I think mine are pretty well known, and I try not to like rub Mix, and most of the time it's just it sounds like I'm trying to rain up people's parade, and so sometimes I do that with I have let myself do that with Kingdom Hearts, where it's like, okay, this is like a it's a fun thing. I don't I don't actually mind that you like that game. I do think it's bad, but if you're having fun with that, I don't mind. But playing it up for laughs is a good time. But I don't like many of the games that have been like getting Game of the Year awards recently, Prestige games, for the most part, they don't click with me. God of War is a good example last of us these things that are I don't know, I don't know. They just feel like Prestige TV, and I like a lot of Prestige TV's kind of rubbing me the wrong way lately as well. I played God of War. I could tell it's a well made game. It wasn't fun to me. It was boring. I was bored, so I put it down. And I think that's pretty controversial. But also I think most people are like, oh, that's okay. You don't like it, that's fine. A lot of people also just move on, so I'm fine with that. From Wibblefish, three pounds seems like a good price for Locke's Quest on Xbox One. Am I right? I guess it's too late either way, I've already ordered it. Yeah, I guess you'll. You'll have to tell me because I don't know what that is. I was actually just gonna google it locks Quests Quest. It looks familiar. Was this like an on another system before? Yeah? Get it, just get it, Just buy it. Three dollars. You are three pounds. You let me know, three pounds. It's like fifty bucks right from zekrits. Let's reverse roles. What question would you like us to answer? Yeah? What's if I had the power to get every one, like you know, most of the people from like the Giant bomb Extended Universe to play one game? What game would you want me to get them to play? And why is it? Echo? Not not that one, go look it up on steamy desert. But yes, Eco, that's right, Christian knows kicking them hearts obviously. Yeah, the dollar, No, not Echo, the dolphin Echo. It's it's like if Minecraft had a giant asteroid that was gonna hit the planet in three thirty real world days, and then you have to use a bunch of like interlocking systems that people can special lies in, like capitalism, and you have to work together to build a thing to shoot down the asteroid so it doesn't destroy your your your your Earth basically in thirty real world days. It's it's fantastic. Uh, there's a lot of systems built into it where it tracts some pollution and stuff like that. So if you are doing a lot of industry to try to destroy this thing, well, you might destroy the planet yourself. And if you are like killing a lot of deer to get their bones or whatever, you could depopulate the deer down to zero and they'll never come back. And if you deforce their area because you're you need the wood to build something, well, no, now you don't have any more wood, and you're screwed. So you have to like strategically go every ten feet and like get every other tree so the tree you leap behind can populate the repopulate the earth with more trees, so you can come back a few days later, and now a new tree is there, and again real time time. It's it's such it's such a good idea. It also creates opportunities to really mess with each other. I created the politicals or an economic system, or I controlled the money, and then when I wanted everybody to move to a universal coin, uh, there was a lot of problems because people thought they should get more of those coins because they had more of my money. And so I I crashed the entire system by flooding the market with my dollars with grub bucks. That was fun, and then someone to get revenge on me, and I can't remember what four They took like almost this radioactive polluting agent and dug it under a part of my property because I gave them like a permission to like dig my property to help me out with something. And then later in that night they came and put that underneath my stuff, and so it was like polluting my land. It was. It's it's incredible. It's such a good game. From mister mccrigidi, Jeff, what's going to be in Xbox this summer show in June? I'm Starfield Starfield to be there. I don't know exactly, but it does feel like we're gonna get Starfield. Does feel like we'll get Readfall again there. I bet we still get Forts a Motorsport. I think those I think all three of them games still come out this year. I suppose there's a possibility, uh like they could get delayed a little bit, but I know the plan was to get all three of those out this year. I mean they've said as much with Starfield and Red Fall. We haven't heard much about red Fall. They haven't said much at all about Forts and Motorsport, but again that the goal was to get that out this year. Uh. Yeah. From cap Tuba player any hot takes on Donato's Pizza. No, I just like it. It's good pizza, Donatos Pizza from It's from Ohio, right, It's you know, I remember it like being everywhere when I was in Ohio and they have it here. Now you can like order it from Red Robin, which is weird, but I'm fine with it. It's good pizza. It's it's it's thin crust. It's but it's like really crispy, nice threat thin crust. It's like really it's like a snacking pizza. They also cut it into the square shapes like the rectangles, and I like that too. Snacking pizza from the Unseen Shadow. When can we see mister Grub on the bomb Cast again? I really enjoyed your previous visits to the podcast. Yeah, we'll make it happen again soon, I think, uh, you know, especially as we get into the summer and stuff's happening. I'll be there as they as they need me. But usually I'm just kind of like, you know, I get a message from like back of our somebody saying, hey, help us out, and I'm like, yeah, I can, I could do that, or hey, Tuesday's really busy. The one thing. The one problem right now for me is Tuesday's are my busiest day. I got I do a podcast that day already, but we can move that, like that's fine, I can move that, But I also set to like drive a kid to school. So this is my Tuesday. I wake up, I get the kid, both kids ready, to get them fed. I drive the youngest one or sometimes take her in the wagon to her preschool, which is right over here, not too bad. But then immediately after that, I got to take the older one to speech therapy. And then we're there for an hour. I can't just leave her there, and I can't just go like work in another room. I gotta be there to help her out. Uh. And so that's an hour, and then I drive her back home. Usually we get some some breakfast or something if she was like forgetting to eat in the morning, and then like a couple, like an hour later, we gotta go pick up the other one. Come back. Then I do less than ten dogs. No, no, I no, I'm sorry. I drop off Emmy back at her preschool, come back home, do less than ten dogs. And then as soon as that ends, I gotta run out the door to go pick her up. Come back home and then I could do a little bit of work. That's kind of how it goes. It's a hell of a day. But summer's coming up and all all those things will be done, especially as we move from future Creep. Does the Quarry have too many endings? I? That's how many Indians does with the Corey have I've only slightly been keeping up with the Quarry all night endings one hundred and eighty six endings. No, it doesn't have enough. It needs one hundred and eighty seven endings because one eight seven on a mother fucking gop. I'm sorry. I apologize from Tokota. Was balin Wonder World bad because Eugenaco is fired? Our voice you fired because valin Wonderwold was bad? I like how you asking me this because the last time we talked about this, Mike, you said some really just cruel things about eugen Naka. He probably never forgave you. Why not both? Why not both? It's uh, it was probably shaping up to be pretty bad. Like six months out and all of the characters still only have one button control, Like, no, that's not what happened. Like that was your design ethos for this game is every button does the same thing, and so yeah, that's bad, inherently intrinsically bad. But I think that it was also bad because Eugen Naka got kicked out in those last six months when maybe he could have cleaned up a few things. But yeah, I mean, I'd like to blame both Square Knicks and Eugen Naka for this. That's where I'm at from. Hey, it's Dale Happy Thursday. Have you heard anything about the supposedly upcoming remake of Patrick Panzer Dragoons? Why make a Pixel Studios just released that House that released that House of the Dead remake. Should we assume z why is still coming? I think so that first pans the Dragon game I think did really well with its remastering. Even though it had issues, they cleaned up a lot of those issues, but I think I think it ended up doing very well. Let's see from the dome any updates on the multiplayer control thing. How many teams does Remedy have at this point? They have a lot of people, a lot of teams. No updates on that specific project that they're working on, but they've grown a lot. They have a lot of people. They're probably also working with quite a few contracts studios, I would think on some of these projects. So yeah, it's still it does seem like a lot. It seems like too much. And they they're not a studio that's like, oh, every game is a massive hit from them. Some of them are missus. So well, we'll hope that taking on a lot does not decrease the numb that that hit the miss ratio. Hopefully they can kind of maintain their quality or even in from talking buddoof. So we're deep into the off season for Arcade Pit any league shake up scoops can Team Fancy Cats even keep two champions and still saying the stay in the salary cap. I'm not involved in the negotiations, but I did yell at Jeff Backlar that he needs to expand it next time. I don't know the you know, the team that puts that together seems like it's a lot of work, so I don't know what goes into it. So me screaming at Jeff Backlar, I don't know how effective that is, but I did scream at him. I'm like, hey, you gotta do this, motherfucker. He listened. He might have been he might have been ripped, but he was listening, uh from the Marmalade, Hey grub what a better What's a better investment in television? Amiko? Or a mortgage? I mean, listen that, Amiko. If no one ends up buying that thing, could be there could be some real cheddar down the line. And a mortgage is just like, come on, that's just the thing where it's like, even once you pay it off, you still have to pay a thousand dollars in property taxes every month. It's gonna be a nightmare. Yeah, buy house instead of a meek definitely from sev word. How many licks does it take to get to the center of a batman? Calzoni oh man? Oh Man three? From dog Face Pig. What's the deal with Sony owning Evo? Is it for brand recognition? Seems weird to not have a first party fighting game under their belt pun intended. Yeah, I mean I think that they do have like a lot, like a really strong relationship with a lot of the fighting game developers, and even if many of them aren't first like if none of them are first party, that doesn't mean that they don't want to like own that space like PlayStation is synonymous now with fighting games at at specially at EVO, everything's played on a PlayStation. I think they just want to kind of maintain that momentum and they probably grow on it in the future. Like I think having a a link to a strong community that isn't ever going to go anywhere can never be a bad thing for these big companies where it's like, Okay, no, we're just gonna own fighting games. And we always know there's gonna be a fighting game community. There has been a strong one for thirty years now, and it's gonna keep growing. And because it because if it's shown that it's grown every year, especially in the last decade, so we expect that growth to continue and uh, and there will be ebbs and ebbs and flows, but we think overall the trajectory is going up into the right. From Zekritz, what's the better portable Mario games, Super Mario Land one or Super Mario Land two? It is Super Mario Land two. Super Mario one Land is actually a surprisingly good game for what it was at the time, Like they like, if you compare it to other launch games for the Game Boy, there's a lot more going on in that game game than than some of the other ones. Where they though some of them end up looking like Atari games. I guess, not not Tetris, but but some the other ones. Super Mario Land who gets the feel of Marial right, and it's just kind of an all around really good game. Uh, and like you know they uh and then they also still had some great music. I'm super Mario Land ones music is baller, but then you know, uh, Super Mario Lands two. I think was it Tataca? I think I just was looking at this up the other day because I was like, listen to a Super Mario Land two track and it was so good, and I'm pretty sure it's Tataca. All right, super super Mario and to Tatanga? Is that? What is that? It? No, that's that's the that's the antagonist? What is composer? Yeah, Totaka? Yes, okay, all right, I got all right from Ravens Fire. Hey, Jeff, I've seen rumors that Xbox maybe announcing the controller refreshed this year. Any word on what that might look like. Well, they've been moving away from rubble embracing and embracing haptics, et cetera. Thanks. I think it's very likely that they will. That's the one big thing that they would do is haptics. I mean, haptics is in everything. Haptics has been in your phone for years. The switch has HD rumble, which is just haptics for the most part. I think virtual reality headsets that you know, the controllers for them, have had haptics for years and they've been it's been really good. I mean I think I didn't. I did an interview with the company that's basically the one company that like defined what modern haptics is years ago, and they're like, hey, here's an app where you could just like we've built a library of effects and you could feel how realistic it feels. The I'm like, oh, yeah, okay, pretty good. I know this is not going to be popular. I almost hope they put a speaker in the controller because that's actually what does it for the PS five And people are like, oh, it's the it's the haptics. It's so good. You're like, yeah, okay, I get why you think this feels like like someone running across sand. The real reason you feel that way is because when the haptics happens, it makes a foot in sand sound effect coming from your controller, and that is way more effective. But uh, and I know a lot of people hate that speaker. I do have numb hands. Okay, yes, it's just as numb hands. And it's the conversation we have all the time because I'm not as impressed by the haptics as other people. It just it does to me still mostly feel like mechanical worrying. But whatever from seb word, give us a hot take. What's a good game that you think is kind of bad? Oh? Oh, I mean elden Ring. Elden Ring is actually a bad game in many ways, and yet it's so much better than everything else. Like that's the way I would put it. It's like, this is kind of a bad game, and yet I'm having way more fun with it than I would have with any game that is like actually polished and good. So yeah, maybe maybe I should go the other way. What's uh? Yeah, Aladdin for a for a Genesis is a good game, and I think it's it's actually okay, it's that's not bad earthworun Jam, all those all those shiny games from that time. And although you know that from that team, I know Aladdin wasn't shining, But yeah, the jink is the charm. Absolutely, yes, the jink is like you'd be built a relationship with the jink and something like elden Ring and it becomes like a part of you or something. And when when you polish off those rough edges, it just feels so more so much more sterile to me. From major Mitch u one of that Major Mitch Manati. One of the early promises of the Switch was that Nintendo could could solidate its first party console and handheld i'll put onto a single device. Has this worked out in practice? Has the Switch had higher first party output than past consoles? Now, I won't say, I don't know if it has had higher I'll put it does feel like it, but I guess I would I would want to look at the numbers side by side. I would bet that if you're compared to the N sixty four, so that's going way back. But I remember the N sixty four having several droughts of first party releases and that being a major pain point for that console. So it probably has worked out. But it's also just enabling the studios to bring their like what was their their design ethos to one system. So we do get like the new uh like Warrior war game on the Switch, and you know, some people don't love that Warrior Wear game, but it's like, okay, we are going to still continue get those kinds of games just on this system that's supposedly just a home console. But you know, it works out because they can do Zelda Breath of the Wild and Zelda you know, the Link to the Past or I'm sorry, Links Awakening remake and put them ball all out. And for Nintendo, they could sell Links Awakening four sixty dollars, so a game that they probably would have sold for forty. Maybe if it was like a new handhold, a new hand a new generation of DS or something, maybe they would have moved up the price to fifty dollars or something like that. But no, they're still They're selling for sixty dollars now, so they get more money for it, and they they tend to sell even better than they do they did on handheld, So yeah, it worked out for them. From JP turps Fan PSVR two was present at GDC, and presumably there have been a plenty of dev kits out there for a while. Have you heard any initial oppressions of it from dev's The word I've heard is that it's very impressive and people really like it, and they think the haptics are very cool. The haptics in the PFVR two had set itself, so yeah, and that that should be very cool because again they are pairing it with the visuals and the audio all at once and getting that whole experience working. That should be like you're gonna feel like you have rain drops fallen on your head and that's gonna be something that's gonna be in every game early on. But beyond that, I haven't heard much. I think we will probably get a blow I mean, maybe that is what Sony does first this summer, is a PSVR two blowout. And if they launched PSVR two this holiday, like, is there any word that they might do that? And maybe that's a bit early, maybe they launch it in March or something, But either way, Matt's still coming up relatively soon. They're gonna have to blow out for this thing. I would expect that to probably happen here in the next few months. Uh from Tart it's from Tar Tiaran. Yeah, So no AVOUD this year then, huh if you mean we'll we'll avowed to be a release this year, No, we'll avoud get like revealed again, this year. We'll have a big thing at E three. I don't know. I think there's a strong possibility, but I don't. I would not expect to see Avowed at Like, it's not it's not coming out this year. It's not going to launch this year and it never was from Kane High Winds zero nine, which is better than Which is better between Alien and Aliens in your opinion? Also best Arnold Arnold movie? And why isn't it Predator? I'm Predators pretty high up there. Best Arnold movie is probably just Terminator or Terminator two. But I mean there's He's got a lot of good ones. I really really, really really love running Man. Running Man is kind of perfect. It just nails every beat and it needs to nail. It's got the really good cheesy one liners from from Arnold, like the wink at the camera kind of one liners that I really like. And the character designs are fantastic. Total Recall is also fantastic. Yes, Total Recall is also great. Arnold's got so many great action movies between Alien and Aliens. I think Aliens is the more fun movie. It's the more it has establishes more of a universe. There are more blue collar characters, which I always love. James Cameron's always great at that, uh, And I really like being with these blue collar characters in this environment and or the like. You know that that there weren't blue collar characters in the first one. There were, but like they feel more blue collar, more realistically blue collar in Aliens. But both movies are great. They're just going for different things. They're like different genres. Like Alien is a horror movie. Aliens is this sci fi action movie. They just use the same structure of you are contained with this thing, what do you do? And when you are you know this this lone woman who who mistrust everyone around it, around you, that you're in a horror film, and when you are, uh, you know, with all these marines, it's it's a different situation. And I like that they explored both both different situations. If I had to pick one to watch at any one time, I would probably more often pick Aliens. But Alien is also really good. And we're losing frames. All right, let's get the feature creeps question. Will there be any program interruptions during your move? Possibly, we'll see. I let's take a look at the dates. One of the dates I have, there's what's windows Where's windows eleven? Put the calendar right there? Right? No, oh, there it is. It just took a second to pop up a laggy calendar. Always a really good operated system. Okay, so we're at the end of April right now, at the end of May, I will be moving. So on Thursday, I might actually so on yeah, on June second, that Thursday, God, that might be. There could be events happening by then. I could be in a hotel. I might be in a hotel or or on the road. If that happens, I will I'll, you know, we are planning this, I'll if I'm in the hotel, I'll probably just don't just do it. It's just it's gonna depend on the internet. I know that they have a wired business thing where we're going, so I'll just go plug in and we'll do a show, a show on the road, which I don't mind doing. I like that sort of thing. I like taking work with me and doing it on the road. But I'll to double check. We got a month to figure it out. That's the only day that we should really have any big issues. When we get to the new house, the new people or the people that sold the house to us, we'll have just like left, but there will be a gap there where I'm gonna have my family come in and like get us, get our internet and set a stuff set up, so we should just be able to hit the ground running. There'll be a bit of a mess, but whatever, So yeah, go do our best to keep the show going, all right? Where am I at? From? Luther Jennings, Mario and Sonic in a ladder match with Bubsy as a special guest reff who wins since we lose. I think that here's how it goes. Like all three of these creatures hate each other, right, Mario, it pretends he doesn't. He pretends he's above it, but really he also like he he would put the boot to each of them because he's always been on top and he thinks so little of them, but he still like wants to keep them in their place. Sonica of course jealous of Mario. Bubsy jealous of both of them, but he's gonna portray himself as being more jealous of Mario because Mario is on top, right, and so the whole match you're gonna see Bubsy kind of like being unfair to Mario. But at the end the turn is that actually he is more mad at Sonic because Sonic push like with the cool character and didn't allow any of the other cool characters to ever have a chance. And so Bubsy betray Sonic. Let's Mario win, and uh and then Mario said I always liked you better, Bubbsy anyhow, and then and that's how the match ends. So I will pay for that pay per view. I don't know about you from Big Denham. I got a Steam Deck last week and have been using your videos to learn the ropes around the emulation set up. I should do an updated one because it's changed a lot since I didn't mind, so thank you. I'll probably start. There's like some good like pointers in those that you can still take from, like navigating the desktop environment and setting up the track pads for shortcuts and emulators. But honestly, at this point, just go to EMU deck. Just go download EMU deck front right on your Steam Deck from the desktop mode, and just follow the instructions and you'll be good to go. I'll probably start with some trash games like Aladdin on Genesis, just getting that game's amazing. You're a monster hart and fair enough. I listen it's fine. It's fine for one of those games. It's one of the better ones of from from like Dave Perry's Team. I played it again recently, though, and I'm like, I'm just bored from feature Creep. This is Miamoto. Will the Mario movie be fully CG or a mix of live action like Sonic? I actually wanted to talk about this, you guys, Okay, you guys want the leaked here? Should we do this as the last thing in case anyone wants to like leave. I got like what apparently could be the leaked like a bullet points the beats for the Mario movie. Let me see if I could find it real quick. I don't think it's who knows if it's real. I think it. I think there's a chance because it's it's coming from like a pretty similar source that like that had a lot of the Sonic stuff. Also pretty sure the movie is just gonna be called Mario. That's not a guarantee, but it seems like it's gonna might just be called Mario at least if I could find this. Oh, I think I have it right, you know what I mean? I know I'll have it an email? Okay, Let me. See that's all right. As I try to find it, Let's let's do a few more questions and then I'll finish up with this. Okay, So yes, I think it's gonna be fully cg. I don't think it's gonna be live action in the in the Mario movie, and the reason is because this story. But uh, we'll talk about it. I don't think they're gonna do the kidding King Arthur's Court was the ice Ak thing where it's like, oh, I got sucked into the Mario world. I'm Chris Pratt. Really, I'm I'm actor spre Now and Mario weird. I don't think they're gonna do that isakasakasakai icy cake kid in King Arthur's Court. Let's just say that, easy, guy. I see, okay, you're all just saying different things. Now. What is not helpful at all from Bannett Games? What are the odds that Street Frighter six is not on the PS four? Pretty low? I think it's pretty low chances that it doesn't end up in the PS four. I think, at least for now it's launched. I mean unless Sony I guess, I mean, even Sony wouldn't pay to keep it off PS four to like to make at PS five only. I don't think they would do that. I think it's the kind of game that you want to have run on everything, so it's probably gonna be on everything. It's pronounced and then a bunch of Japanese characters, thank you very much. From feature Creeps, Faceballs or Robin Hood men in tights at this point, Robin Hood Men in Tights. I would rather watch Troup in a minute. I think it's a more consistently funny movie. Spaceballs has very good moments though. From t dot. Do you think Microsoft would make some sort of giant crossover game considering they have a bunch of IP now like a cart racer or as a Smash Bros. Who would you mane Clippy? I would consider remaining Clippy. I think they definitely do this. I think there's going to be some sort of metaverse game, and not that that's my term, that's their term of saying, like, oh, one of the reasons we're getting Activision is for the metaverse. I think there will be an example of Microsoft using all this IP in one centralized game at some point, whether or not it's actually fun. Who knows all right from propaganda pandit. Any thoughts on Bloomberg reporting on stockholders thinking Activision across microst deal will not go through. Sorry, if I asked, already asked, I was late to the party. No, No, no worries. I think some stockholders probably do think that there's there's plenty of examples of big deals not going through. Uh and not just because you know, regulators said it couldn't happen. Eventually, regulars just put up enough hurdles that these companies begin having second thoughts and they pull out that that has happened before as well. I think Microsoft have to pay a lot of money if that happens still to Activision, I believe that's how it works. So no one wants the deal to fall through necessarily at these companies, at least for the most part, it seems like. But but yeah, I still think it's much much much more likely to go through if the if the big hurdle is regulation, if there's some reason inside these companies that people start standing up and saying we need to end this, we need to not do this, well then that will change. But we haven't heard anything about that. Not really, stockholders is one thing. If it's the people in charge of making the deal happen, let's start talking that way. Then it's a completely different thing from being CPM. Have you heard anything about Arc two? No? Not, that's the one with then Eaesel Right, Vin diesel Is was like as part of that trailer for the reveal of that game. No, I haven't heard anything about it. They'll they'll reach out once they have something to talk about though, all right, from Optimist Subprime, whether it be more fire in Canada, if they win or lose in the Stanley Cup finals. I think if they if they win, there'll be a there will be a lot of rioting. I think if they lose in the Stanley Cup Finals there will be a lot of rioting as well. But we'll see from final DASA, what's up with Stadia? Is Google just going to let it die along and quiet death? Yeah, it's it's shifting to that white label model. It's shifting to we're going to provide technology for other companies and let them call it their streaming Like just say, oh, you buy the streaming version of this game and it's running on Stadia, but it doesn't say Stadia anywhere, you know, they made the tech, it didn't work as its own business model. They'll find ways to slowly build it up again, and they'll find other ways to grow their their infrastructure so that it makes sense. Like I said, Like I said from the beginning, these companies want to have these cloud consumer facing products. So when you pay a lot of money and it gives them more money to put nodes like the connection nodes closer and closer to everybody swims around the world, so that they can just build out their cloud network and then they can sell capacity on those networks to companies that where they would make the real money. But you know, Google just have to find another way of doing that from MCP. Any chance Bungee is still putting some effort into a Mara, into a new marathon game, I don't know. I don't think so I met that new game that they're working is probably not marathon, but I don't know for sure that would be that would be fun, I don't know. From shadow with Hey, Jeff, please join mastadon. I need people to follow on Mastadon. I tried to join masdon years ago and got confused and didn't know what to do. I didn't know how to do it, so I'll try again. Maybe you can give me and actions from Luter Jenning's Kingdom Hearts obviously is the probably probably referring to the good game that's bad. Now, that's just a bad game that's bad from Catapus. Why have we allowed DLC to standford download downloadable content when it's only two words? Yeah. I feel like there's a time on the Internet and the early Internet when downloadable have like a like a hyphen in it, like upload download. It was a it was a bad time. We didn't know what we were doing. But also I think maybe I don't know, but the way these initialisms can happen, there's no rhyme or reason behind them most of the time. Uh. From sev word over under on the first mod for Starfield, and all it does is changed the title to Garfield. I mean, I think there's a really good chance that that's that. You're absolutely right about that, I bet, although I bet a lot of like old mods from older but that's the games just end up working. They just work and so and so those will be the first mods. But the first new mod, yeah from Gunslinger. Do you think we'll ever hear anything about in the Valley of the Gods, remember that trailer. I do, even though I'm wrong and we won't, I do believe that we will. I've said this is the last couple of weeks where I just want to I want to continue believing that we're going to get that game, even though there's no real chance that we will. From Tartian, why did Jeff greb ruined Bell in Wonder World? I'm a monster. I'm a true monster and uh and I see something beautiful and pure and I can't let it live, so I destroyed it. That's a bad game and people should feel bad for liking it. From Gunslinger, I think we'll we'll hear anything about any new hardware upgrades to the Xbox Adaptive Controller. I know it wasn't made to be sold for profit, but my nephew gets a lot of use from it. I think we will eventually. I don't know if it's gonna happen anytime soon. I know that's the thing that they don't want to like become obsolete or suddenly a new protocol comes along and doesn't work with it. They will do their best to make sure that it stays modern and current and uh, and that everyone can get used out of it. The PlayStation and switch both still still don't work with it. Right. That should be the next big step where you could just plug it into a PlayStation, just plug it into a switch and it just works. I hope that's where where they're headed with that, where Microsoft can make that happen. From Luter Jennings, if you had to guess, how much would you say a factory sealed Uyah sells for on eBay? Because because it's more than you think, is it really okay? How much did it cost when it came it was? Wasn't it like eighty dollars? How much do they cost when you had to buy it? I'll say if it's more than I think, I'll say it goes for ninety dollars on eBay. Actually it was sixty dollars. It's a sixty Any kind of more than ten ten dollars is more than I would think. I'm on two bills. Yeah, I don't know. Well, I'll look it up. I'm gonna just gonna look it up eBay. B one hundred and fifty dollars seems to be the going rate, one hundred and twenty five if you used twenty five dollars for some listings, man, and those are like ones that have actually sold. Are people actually buying factory sale? Yus, It's got to just be content creators. Let's see from big Denham. Do you think Microsoft would ever acquire a fighting game studio? That genre seems like a perfect fit for game Pass, considering the reliance on character packed DYLC for additional revenue. I don't know. I think they would possibly do that, but I don't know if they would ever just like acquire that fighting game studio, expecting them to only ever make fighting games period forever. But you're right that it doesn't make sense for kind of like putting that out on game Pass and then providing a long tail for a Yeah, you're right, it makes sense. I think one thing that the problem with the fighting game is you want it everywhere, And I suppose micro Stuff I had no issue with putting their game everywhere if it needs to be everywhere, right, So maybe that isn't a problem. From Brenty. Apparently the Nintendo had almost an eighty five percent share of the game market in Japan last year. Is that gonna have a big effect on how Japanese deps target their stuff, or is everyone globally minded enough now that they'd want to be on the big boy consoles. I mean, I think it affects them somewhat. I think, I mean, it's definitely gonna mean more Switch games. It's definitely gonna mean more people looking at Switch is the one viable console option. But I think that there's still Yeah, a lot of these studios know that they need to be globally minded because if you make a big budget game, you sort of can't just rely on Japanese sales, especially if you're not putting on the switch, like Stranger of Paradise. You can't just put that out and not have it on the switch and then just have like rely on Japanese sales. That needs to do well everywhere. Kind of okay to bad honestly in its first month on MPD, So we'll see h From Luther Jennings speaking of weird Nintendo games, when are we getting a rub Rabbits sequel? I was more of a what was that launch game for the DSU Touch generations? No, that's the name of the whole thing DS Touch game about dating see if I could feel the magic x x x Y. Thank you Britton I was more of a I was more of a Field the magic guy than rub Rabbits. All right, let's get to these last few and then I'll see if I could find that Mario stuff. What are your thoughts on Battlefield twenty forty two? Do you think there can even be another Battlefield? There will be another Battlefield. I think that they really need to rethink the whole process though, of like making one and how they release it. I think the next Battlefield game is going to be free to play, at least the multiplayer. I think that it needs to sort of be a much more even much more of a platform than what twenty forty two was planned to be. And yeah, I think that's that's gonna be a tough, a tough pill for EAT to swallow because they've been used to selling that game for a lot of money each year, you know, each time it comes out, and making millions of dollars off of it, And maybe twenty forty two still did that to some extent, but I mean, just put it out. Twenty forty two came out in the fall, right, so March twenty twenty two MPD. I didn't even kind of like, I haven't even been thinking about Battlefield, but by this point, from like previous Battlefield games, it would still be doing pretty well. Let's see the top the top ten best selling games of the last twelve months, and Battlefield twenty forty two is number five. So it's ahead of far Crist six, behind Proke Pluck him On, Brilliant Dining Slash, Shining Pearl, behind Mad and behind Elden Ring Pine, Calderty Vanguard. So that's okay, but it's not it's not great. You would expect Battlefield actually be in that number two slot behind Call of Duty. So I don't know if it, but I guess they're still making that much money from it. Maybe they do continue to trying to sell it, but I just don't see how the game can really thrive the way it needs to if it's not everywhere available for everyone, like like a free to play game. It is more than the FARCRST six though, yeah, yeah, more than the FARCRST six, more than FIFA twenty two more and this is over the last twelve months, so more than Call of Duty, Black Ops Cold Where of course from higher Neubes. When the Sony acquisition was announced, Spongee stated it will bring Destiny two to other platforms. The allegedly we're in talks with Google to launch their own streaming platform with Steady Attack. But do you think they could release for the Switch? Yeah, I mean yeah, they could put Steady It would work on the Switch. I think it should should work pretty well as well. I mean a lot of these streaming platforms are third party companies providing back end streaming technology for developers, and Google would just be another one of those options. Now, so I I totally think that's one way that that could happen. And then from Wandi, do you know when Contrabands targeted to release? I don't think I think they like back in twenty twenty one. I believe they were thinking that game would come out in twenty twenty three, but that always seemed aggressive to me. So twenty twenty three, maybe early twenty twenty four. We'll see though. Okay, let me see if I could find this Mario thing. Okay, so we're wrapping up. I'm gonna read from this post that I think is pretty accurate. There could be some things wrong here about the Mario movie. So if you don't want to be spoiled about the Mario movie, goodbye, We'll see you next week. Everyone else, Let's let's go for this. Let's see. The art style is cartoonish and full of life and color. It's said to be similar in art style to Hotel Transylvania, but with Mario. Makes makes some sense. The humor has puns, and it does have some meta stuff for people who are aware that it's a game or coming from a game series. But there's no dabbing, no fart jokes, so it's not like one of them. It's not gonna be minions. Mario and Luigi have slight redesigns. They also start off the movie with more worn and dusty suits with muted color schemes. Mario has a bluish purple shirt instead of brown, and Luigi with has green overalls and a bluish purple shirt as well. They switch over to their more iconic colors later in the movie, and they have Brooklyn accents. They have Brooklyn accents. Nowhere in this does anyone complain about the voices. It just sounds like it's an okay Brooklyn accent. Let's see. For other characters, DK, Junior, Pauline, and Toadsworth are said to appear Daisy as name dropped. There are female Toads, but not sure if any are specifically named Toadet. There is a non villainous character referred to as Spike who shows up at the beginning and again at the end to congratulate them. He is kind of a greedy, bossy character. And Spike, is that the one from the Wrecking Crew? And that's yeah, I think that's right. When it comes to enemy types, you're gonna find you're gonna see goombas, Koopa's hammer brothers, bullet bills and their towers, Bonsai bills, Lacatoo's fuzzies, and ninjas. And here's the plot, yeah, foreman Spike. Okay, cool, here's here's the plot. Let's just let's just go, let's do it. The movie opens with a narration by Charles Martine as he goes through a different jobs Mario has had before working with the Wrecking Crew. He fights Donkey Kong and saves Mario in the real world still animated from the sounds of it, so still animated, uh, and then he goes to the new Dino City. The fight is said to be choreographed really well, and it is quite fast paced, especially when Mario gets the Golden Hammer, and it can be blink and you'll miss it. Kind of it will be a blink and you'll miss reference. In the President Mario's famous when he hears reports of guerrillas and turtles fighting, he goes into the sewers to investigate. Underground, there are a ton of gorillas, some party and others playing drums. He runs into an older cranky donkey Kong and tries to communicate, but he can't can't because Mario doesn't speak gorilla. They end up falling through a pipe into the Mushroom Kingdom. Some point in the beginning, we hear the first song. It is a musical. There will be a handful of songs in this song. Bowser sings as we see his younger years and is desired to meet takeover Mushroom Kingdom. He then kidnaps Princess Peach, blows up Mushroom Kingdom, and heads for his ship. Mario and Captain Toad go on a journey to stop Bowser. At some point we get a second song about plumbing. I can't wait to hear the plumbing song. Luigi. Luigi is concerned because Mario has been gone for quite some time, so he goes into the sewers to investigate and ends up in Mushroom Kingdom, specifically the Forbidden Forest, where he runs into Yoshi. Mario goes to fight Bowser but is defeated. Kamik drops him off the ship into the Forbidden Forest, where he ends where he meets up with Luigi and Yoshi. They get new costumes with their more iconic colors and head for Bowser's castle. At some point they come across these three Bowser clones. They are mostly there to tell jokes, but once they are defeated, they shape shift into this gross, indescribable combination of enemies. At some point before the final battle, the final song plays, where basically everyone sings. The toads sing about saving the princess, Mario Luigi sing about not losing hope while Bowser and Peach argue to the beat of the song. And the end comec gives Bowser a mushroom. Let's see, and the end come gives a Bowser a mushroom, causing him to grow. He chases Mario and Luigi through this pipe maze across many different locations, a desert, ocean, forests, a cloudy area, to name a few power ups like the Fireflower and Star making appearance here as well, but they don't appear anywhere else in the movie. Yoshi also fights with Comec because they have some history. Comec uses his wand to mess around with Yoshi, altering the environment and whatnot. At the end of the chase, they trick Bowser into going through the last pipe, ending up in his own lava pit, where he burns the death. Apparently. Mario decides to open up a plumbing service in the Mushroom Kingdom, and this is pretty much where the movie ends. Post credit scene is If anyone want to guess what the post credit scene is based on what we just heard, I'll give you guys a second. Let's see it kind of sounds like the Lego movie in a way, with the plot themed songs and many different characters and locations. Again, this is from the person leaking this stuff. No Bowser returns as Dry Bowser is the post credit saying apparently so far so he pops back out of the lava. He's not really dead. It's Dry Bowser, so that'll be fun. Doctor Strange shows up. I don't know. I mean, here's the thing I'm not too this The reason I believe this. One of the reasons I believe this is because of the reason delay. They probably have been showing this to test audiences and and they're probably they're probably not, you know, super happy with this, although it sounds fine to me, sounds okay. So yeah, that was a lot to take in. I know I talked fast, but I don't know. Maybe I can find a way to put this up beat by beat up somewhere on the internet and everyone can read it. Yeah, okay, I think that's gonna do it for our show. Now that we've all seen the Mario movie. I feel blessed to have done that for you. Yes, I definitely perform moist bowser as well over try Bowser. Okay, let's let's wrap this up. Thank you everybody for tuning in. I really appreciate it. I will have another show next week. Until then, though, take care of yourself, have a good one and goodbye.
