Yeah, it's it means nothing. I'm guilty of leaning into it. So this morning, I dressed up as the mascot in my kids elementary school. Oh, I thought it was some freaky Friday bedroom antics. Oh not at the school with my wife, I dressed up in a so I dressed up as as the lion. I'm in a big costume for my kids elementary school. Okay, it's, you know, a Friday, they give up little awards. So it's the school's mascot. Yeah, so I volunteer address up. You know, I'm pumping my fist. I'm having fun with the kids, giving high fives. All these little kids love the mascot. I feel like you were born to be a mascot. I don't know if that's an insult or nu In a different time, I feel like you'd be the town jester of sorts performing for King Joffrey. Yeah. So that's why I feel like in today's world, you're a great mascot, just like jumping around dancing with the kids, and I have fun doing it. Why not, right, I'm the fun dad that likes to do all these corny things. But I did lean in. I saw like the third, fourth and fifth grade as the little the older kids in the elementary school. The minute I went up to them, I started doing the hand thing six seven. They all lost their little minds, and I felt so, I'm like, I'm the idiot, I'm playing into it, but they all start screaming in unison like six seven and six. I'm like, they didn't even know what it means. They're schools throughout the nation that have banned it from the class. Like, you can't say that because kids can't control themselves. And I imagine moving forward, every high school lineman, every kid on basketball if he could, if kid's playing baseball, I'm sure he's trying to get a number sixty seven. Stop it, exactly, stop it, but stop it. If you're living that mom or dad life, or just in society, Danny g have you seen this at all with your your kids.

Speaker 1: Well, not everybody lives that life. Just say that if you have a nose picking nephew or a little kid, or you know some great schoolers or teenagers, they're uncontrollable. They can't stop saying. Did you see that viral video of that poor female sports reporter who's trying to do a story. She's trying to do a story, She's trying to just do her job, and these drunk or high buffoons. He's like, little college kids are just behind her the whole time, like shouting out six to seven and doing the little thing NonStop at the top of their lungs. Though it's wild, just insane, how that swept the Niche so just figured I throw that out there six seven, stop it. But let's talk some snell. Let's talk some you savage. We talked about how the Blue Jays pitcher started the year and has had like, wait, the most miraculous year a little kid could have. When I say little kid meaning he's a kid started the year at single a you mean Yesavich, you said, snell I said, yes, Savage, Yeah, okay. Start of the year at single A and progress through every stage of the miners, finds himself on the Blue Jays, pitches in the playoffs. Now he's pitching in the World Series. We're talking about a kid that didn't make the team out of camp, was on a bus playing single A baseball, but just put his head down, worked hard and is what takes a lot of minor league kids years to just keep moving up the system. This guy started the year and look at where he is now. Look at me now, mom, starting game, so good for him? Like that he lit up the Yankees. Man, that game was insane. Remember he uh he pulled a Schlittler on the Yanks, like he stepped up and dominated them. So he's pitching at home Game one, the first World Series game in Toronto in over thirty years, and he's the guy that takes the hill. That place is gonna be electric. Buggy Yogi Yogi. But then on the other side of things, we talk about dominating, dominating pitching performances in the postseason. We always love to go back to you remember with the Giants in the two thousands, Madison Bumgardner carried that team, or we love to talk about years where Randy Johnson and Kurt Schilling carried a team, or Don Drysdale back in the day. Right now, I don't think we're given enough credit to Blake Snell in the postseason three and zero zero point eighty six e RA twenty one innings pitched. He's only walked five guys, has given up like a run like Blake's. Now is everything Danny your Dodgers could have wished in dream for. Yeah, and he fit right in.

I'd love to see a competitive series, but I don't think the Blue Jays are gonna be able to handle this. The Dodgers just too good, too healthy at the right time. Blue Jay's got their hands full. I hate to say that, but is there a party of the things. Well, maybe the Blue Jays will be playing a little loose and the Dodgers, there's an expectation. Hey, they fight, they're scrappy. Here's their advantage. Here's what you're gonna witness. If you haven't paid close attention, you're gonna see still in the mountain. You're gonna see every Blue Jay falling off pitches, starting with andndro Kirk, who just fouls them off until until eventually he gets a hit. That's how great this team is. And it's contagious with them. They just keep fouling off pitches, falling off pitches, battling, battling, tough on two until they either walk or they make some cut. They're always making contact. That's what makes them dangerous. So you know they have that going for him. But they always say it good pitching stops good hitting, and the Dodgers got some pretty good pitching all lined up tonight. Game one. Excitement in the air, super pumped. But I'm like, buddy, that team is not good, you know. I'm like, you don't want to you don't want to be a Saints fan. He's like the Saints are cool, gold like golden black. I'm like, ah, buddy, I don't know. I feel for you guys.

It's going to be a good one, yesvich Like you heard Rich said, he climbed every rank in one year. What a year for that guy. And now he's on the biggest stage of Wall versus Snell, the Dodgers at Toronto. Gonna be a good one. I know you can say it about every pitch and every inning of every game in the regular season, but there's something about postseason baseball where every mistake, every fundamentally good play, things just they feel so amplified. I get it out obviously, but if you know, if the guy you know pops up with runners in scoring position instead of moving them. Over the regular season, yeah, bummer. In the postseason is so magnified when someone doesn't do their job. You know, it also is really magnified is how what happens in game one also plays a part of what happens in game two. Like if these guys, work your bullpen, Danny g and they're fouling off pitches and falling off pitches and found off pitches. Yeah, that that has implications on the next game. It's like a game of chess that carries over to the next game because then they eliminate that, eliminate that dude from the bullpen, and the Blue Jays are so noticeably good at that stuff, and that they're going to work the work the count, work the count. That's the only way the Blue Jays beat the Dodgers. If the Blue Jays get to the Dodgers bullpen, which and just which is the Dodgers Achilles heel and now Novessia? Yeah, no middle relief guys. Is there any update on that, by the way, because that's a really weird story.

Look, families, first, I get all that, especially if it's something serious like that. But for his sake, this is his chance to play in a world series, you know. So I know it doesn't matter as much as life in the big picture, but you would hate to miss out on some something specially like that. True, But I think I think like that's like such a minuscule thought in someone's mind when they have real stuff going on, respect if it makes that real thing worse than that, you know, when you're thinking back, like not only did this happen? But I don't think I missed the World I I don't think if my family had a personal traumatic situation, I don't think the World Series would be on my mind at all. Like, who cares, it's the World Series? This is real're also talking about that's what they identify as. I know that's a nice righteous thing to say. Your head wouldn't be in the right place, though. But you play your whole life and your whole career to make it this far and you're not even a part of it. You're gonna say that doesn't play a factor or matter at all, But of course it does. But you don't think you'd have the right stuff. Yeah, maybe not in the moment. In the moment, yes, you're you'd be focused on family and whatever tragedy or whatever severity is going through right now. But when he looks back, he's he's like, and I missed the World Series. I'll still get a ring. He'll still get a ring. But I like that. That's not an easy decision, So I think it. I think it is. I think as you get older, you realize like these are, like the World Series is important, but like pales in comparison to anything involving your wife or kid or I imagine that's why it has to be really serious. Yeah, that's so wishing him the best, but the only way But if you think that's not a factor, I disagree. The only way the Blue Jays have a chance in this series is getting to that bullpen, and Kavino's right, they take good at bats, they don't, you know, I don't think Snell is going to have fifty five pitchers through six innings. Like they work counts, they play good baseball, not so much so Like I said, you know how you say everything counts and everything matters, You're gonna see this matter and you're gonna see this count because I'm like, oh my god, these guys are they're they're they're what what's the word discipline? No, No, they're fundamentally sound. No, they're like they just keep coming at you. There resilience, they don't. There's assistants. I don't know if that's the tests rappy. No, I don't know if that's it. You know what, when I think about it, you know, I could you give you like seven It might be resilient, might be resilient. This team is resilient, but it's but it is a sense of I mean, watch tonight, We're gonna be totally wrong and Snell cruises. But if they get to Snell, if you could get Snell out of that game pitching six innings or less, I think that's a victory for the Blue Jays. If Snell get comes out of there five and two thirds, the blue Jays now get you get three plus innings of the bullpen. That's that's how you find a way to compete. You can't let snell Yamamoto Otani. You can't let these guys go in six seven innings. It's just seven to eight nine eight six seven. Yes, can't do it, but you just did, you little jerk it. So hey, enjoy your World Series Game one tonight. Yeah, and all comes down to this series. Man, It's been a fun season. We'll see what happens, and I do wish both teams the best. You know, we talked earlier earlier this week. I don't know who to root for. I wish they both could lose, But now I'm just wishing everybody a great series. Eventually, I'll be pulling for somebody, That's the truth. I'll be not rooting, but I'll be pulling for some and I just don't know who yet. All a fat Joe for your Yankees? Will the Blue Jays roll out Drake and then the Dodgers combat that with Kendrick That a rumor or? Is that true? Because I've seen that just.

Are you gonna watch a game solo style of run? Yes? I absolutely am, and I look forward to it. There's a lot of you know, chatter here in the studio. It's a lot. So when I go home or when I go get something to eat later on, I need to decompress. I got a teenage daughter, I got a NIX wife, I got a young girlfriend. I enjoy my alone time. I love it. I live for it. You talk to the person next to you at the bar, small small talk sometimes matter. Yeah, I mean, I don't want to be bothered, but yeah, sure, I'm not opposed to it. So I watched some of the game by myself later right after the show, Get something Neat, and then I got to do the homecoming thing. Today's actually for a lot of high schools around the country, it's homecoming. So I have a Friday night lights game to go to tonight here in California, and my daughter's cheerleading for a lot of people, younger kids, Trunk or treat weekend. Yeah, so it's a big weekend of that. So right before I do the homecoming football game at the high school out here, I'm gonna beating a burger by myself. Well, Joey fleck Ill talked about hanging by himself and that guy that you see sitting at the hotel bar.

Speaker 4: I think there's always a challenge of sitting in a room by yourself and being lonely. So for me, it's trying to find ways to maybe stay over here a little bit longer and then you know, just kind of take myself out of that mindset. Call home, go sit at a restaurant by myself and realize that, man, that's pretty enjoyable to do. You know, after there's not too many situations, tell you, I tell people all the time. I mean, I used to see guys sitting at a bar by themselves, or you know, just sitting by themselves, eating and grabbing a little meal, and like, man, I feel so bad for that guy. You almost want to go join them. And now I realize, like that dude was in heaven.

You can enjoy all the time with your kids, but everyone wants a little time. I feel like lonely is a feeling you have when you're feeling down on yourself and feel bad about yourself, or you're sad about something. Dude, I'm going to go eat a burger later and enjoy every second of it. Like, there are times lonely. There are times if I feel like, oh this is great. If I heard or serious XM sends you to go host something and I don't know, Minnesota. Those are cool moments and you do your event, you go back to the hotel and you're like, I'm gonna sit at the hotel bar and get a cheeseburger and a beer. That's sort of like a cool feeling. But there are certain things that I try to avoid by myself.
