Sign up at truegreen dot com, then sit back and relax. Good news for the San Francisco forty nine ers. Okay, they have a mainstay back in the building. Trent Williams is back. He is agreed to a reworked two year deal with the Niners. There's a lot of speculation how's this going to go? But it's two years, fifty million dollars thirty seven fully guaranteed twenty two million dollars at signing. And his agency was quick to point out and post this to social media that Trent Williams he becomes the first non quarterback in NFL history to surpass four hundred million in contracts and two hundred and twenty five million in guarantees. Good for him, That is good for him. Well done by Trent Williams. John Lynch spoke about the return of Trent Williams yesterday. 00:01:54 Speaker 3: Yes, I can confirm that, and we're really excited about that. 00:01:58 Speaker 4: You know, Trent's a phenomenal player. 00:02:01 Speaker 3: I remember being on the phone with Ron Rivera during the COVID days at my house do in the draft, and that's where that thing came together and was thrilled. Then we still remain thrilled and really happy to have that behind us and trend in the fold and you know, as I told Trent when we started this thing, my hope is that you know, his name, his number are up in those rafters with a lot of great players that have played here and you know where we couldn't be that. 00:02:28 Speaker 1: There's a there's a buzz in the building. 00:02:30 Speaker 4: The players are back. 00:02:31 Speaker 3: It's the first stay back for phase one, but there's a buzz because what Trent means to this place. 00:02:36 Speaker 2: So we're very excited and maybe we'll go to an off season without hearing about how he might leave for once, because that's been going on for the last three years, seemingly three four years. 00:02:46 Speaker 5: Well, it's what you have to do in order to get the team to financially, come up with an offer that makes you feel good about what you've accomplished. I mean, let's be honest about this, because there's a lot of people out there who could probably relate. You know, you've been your company for a long time and it might feel staggered. It might feel like you're not valued as much as you once were. There's probably some uncertainty too, if you're getting closer to retirement and you want there to be a commitment that they're going to help you kind of see this thing through. 00:03:10 Speaker 4: So that's what we've got here. 00:03:12 Speaker 5: But more so than that, I mean, I just I was thinking about just how good it feels when you're a player, you're back for that first day phase one offseason. It feels like the start of something, you know what John Lynch is talking about, Like you really do tap into this sense of optimism, the sense of the beginning of a chance of going to winning a Super Bowl. And if you look at a lot of the moves that the forty nine ers have made this offseason, they've been centered around trying to provide that sort of foundation and stability for a franchise that's. 00:03:42 Speaker 4: Been rocked by injuries. 00:03:44 Speaker 5: And I think this is a huge signing for a guy who's a future Hall of Famer, who's arguably the best left tackle in football probably over the last. 00:03:52 Speaker 4: What six years. 00:03:53 Speaker 5: So there's a I think there's a set of optimism in San Francisco, and there should be, because this is a team that's been able to do more with less of times. And if they're back one hundred percent fully healthy, and they stay healthy without the season, there'll be a contender. 00:04:10 Speaker 1: Go ahead, Jonas, go I'm gonna let you go. 00:04:13 Speaker 2: I just I think that this also is another example of a guy who got out of Washington and it was better for it, because if you go back and you look at the trade, I think Washington he was great, and then he gets to San Francisco and he's just been as consistent as can be. 00:04:29 Speaker 1: And I don't know that. 00:04:30 Speaker 2: I mean, how many other tackles would you take over him right now, even at his age. I don't know that you'd take any over him right now at his age, and you look at just sort of where his career was at. Now he's with the Niners, and he went from a situation he just didn't want to be a part of to a place to where's John Lynch put it, They're gonna be in a historic place like that, where they've got all of those retired numbers and great all time players. He's going to go up there with all of them. And it may that result in the Super Bowl, the window may be closed, but just a phenomenal career for Trent Williams. And I also think you guys owe him, both of you guys owe him an apology, and I think you owe the forty nine ers organization and apology because you guys were trying to tell me nobody wants to be at a place where you've got to practice next to a nuclear reactor, and clearly Trent Williams does, and that's why he's back for more. So, LeVar, if you want to for the right price, okay, to. 00:05:26 Speaker 5: The earlier point, for the right price, you'll work next to that nuclear reactor. 00:05:31 Speaker 6: Okay, that's fine, Yeah. 00:05:32 Speaker 1: Fair enough. 00:05:34 Speaker 5: The other thing that fair enough is when they're walking out with the big boom box. Oh yeah, if he's not there for that, it just doesn't hit the sound. I'm sorry, it just it doesn't. It doesn't look as cool. What doesn't hit as hard? Like he's got to be there for the walkout the boom box otherwise I'm out. Like if I'm one of those players in the team, it's kind of uh, this doesn't quite feel like it used to. 00:05:56 Speaker 2: By the way, how do you get up to the front there? Because I've noticed Jones has been there a couple of times. Deebo is there, like how do you how do you get to be. 00:06:05 Speaker 5: A part of the you can I And this is just a white guy's opinion on this. I feel like for Mac Jones if you know the lyrics, because because here's what you know, this is going to happen when you're walking out, you know someone's gonna take a video, They're going to see you up front, and you've got to be on the bars just like everyone else. And if you're not, it makes the whole thing look bad after the fact. So I think, how do you get up there? You got to be able to know the lyrics. You have to actually be able to like rap the song too, otherwise you can't be a part of it. 00:06:35 Speaker 4: Is that fair enough on something here? 00:06:38 Speaker 5: I mean, because if you have a white guys, Like, if a white guy's up front, though, and he's not saying any of the right lyrics, it looks terrible. 00:06:48 Speaker 4: I mean maybe just white guy. 00:06:50 Speaker 7: It just depends if he's like a soft looking dude, you know, Like like if if a J Hawk were walking down while that music was playing, I don't think anybody'd be like that, don't. 00:07:04 Speaker 4: Look, wouldn't wrap though, he wouldn't say anything. 00:07:07 Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. 00:07:08 Speaker 7: He's gonna be walking to go whoop somebody's ass. I don't think anybody's gonna look at him and be like, oh, they bopping behind him, d DA this that, and look at the way like you know what they're gonna say, like, oh they lose right there. That guy's about his business right now, the one that is walking with them because he wants to be down with that motion. Yes, if he ain't bopping with him, there's a problem, like if his listen And for what is worth from a black guy's perspective, when a white dude tries to bot with a black group and and it's kind of like doesn't fit, that's the best. 00:07:51 Speaker 1: That's the best. That's that's number one. 00:07:53 Speaker 8: Why because you can't bop like us, But I think that that's really cool. 00:07:59 Speaker 1: That you're rocking with us. 00:08:01 Speaker 9: Though the number Jonahs try to bop real quick, Johnas, you'd have to throw some music on, like you have to have what would be the proper I mean, I mean you. 00:08:12 Speaker 7: Could throw on that poppet by to change like that. I used to play for my but but some of. 00:08:17 Speaker 4: It that's that's for that's not for Jonas to tak to. 00:08:21 Speaker 1: I mean, but that's how well. 00:08:22 Speaker 5: I mean, that's how about how about t I hey, t I let him know see if you can. 00:08:27 Speaker 2: Find a you know, I'm a big neo guy. Why can't you just something out there? 00:08:34 Speaker 7: I don't know, that's old, that's not really like, that's not Mark Mark. 00:08:38 Speaker 4: This is like back when you were listening to that. 00:08:40 Speaker 1: That's like it's not a it's not new school. 00:08:43 Speaker 7: But all I'm gonna say is all I'm gonna say is like Mac Jones, like that's dope. 00:08:50 Speaker 1: The way he looks like he does it is. I mean, it's I like it. 00:08:56 Speaker 7: He has street cred. I mean, I mean cats, cats, they're going they got him. I mean he's like one of them. He's one of us. Hey, hey Tyrone. I mean there's that come a little swag. But there are some white boys that really have straight rhythm. There are there, they are out there, they do exist, and when they in the mix, he's just like he grew up around you. 00:09:21 Speaker 1: Act like a to us. He grew up around us. 00:09:23 Speaker 4: It's like just like the dr. 00:09:25 Speaker 10: Now you just move on from him. He's no fun. You act like it's a UFO. Oh my god, I saw one. Yes, yes, okay, yes, that is correct. 00:09:37 Speaker 7: So the point I'm making is the number one is when they don't have the rhythm, but they they witch you like I love that we we love that if it's a dude that that he's a. 00:09:47 Speaker 1: White dude that really has rhythm and. 00:09:49 Speaker 7: Is like like he's doing it the same way they doing it, Like like he grew. 00:09:54 Speaker 1: Up around this is like it's just hey trash. 00:09:56 Speaker 7: Travis Kelcey used to that, you know how certain animals can't get around certain animals because of the smell of them or whatever. Like it's like, man, they sit there, they hanging out, They cool, they don't have no problems. Right another animal comes up they disrupts them because it's is it danger? Is it fight or flight? Like there's all those different things, right, Like how do you ever wonder like how is a I just saw a whole family of skunk yesterday. I meant to tell y'all about this, right, these skunks were as big as like small coyotes. They were big. I ain't even know skunks get this big. But anyways, I see these skunks out. They're hanging out, like a whole bunch of them, and one feels like four of them. It's crazy looking at them. It's crazy seeing all these skunks. But if something else moved into their space, you know what they doing. They're gonna light them up. They're gonna shoot up the club. They're gonna let it, let it go. I tell them Telves is gonna go to work, right. So it's like the same thing. It's like, oh, you're a skunk. I'm not gonna spray you. You're a skunk. 00:10:57 Speaker 1: Like you're hanging out right. Aw, you're skunk. 00:10:59 Speaker 7: So when you get a guy and he can dance like you, like like hold on, like we out in the spot, we're in the club. I got my teammates with teams, and it's usually alignment, by the way, it is. 00:11:13 Speaker 1: Usually alignment that can do it, and that junk be like I grew up around us. You just keep it moving. 00:11:20 Speaker 7: But the one that does it and they they have no rhythm, like, but they love the song and they getting after it. 00:11:27 Speaker 4: They're the best. 00:11:28 Speaker 1: They're the most entertaining. They're the best, I think. 00:11:31 Speaker 2: For people that are not familiar with our show, Two Pros and a Cup of Joe. The reason why skunks are near and dear to the heart. 00:11:39 Speaker 1: I got sprayed pout on. 00:11:40 Speaker 2: He literally couldn't come in studio or he couldn't do a show one day because he got sprayed. 00:11:46 Speaker 10: My dog got sprayed by skunk and got darn skunk. 00:11:49 Speaker 1: The worst part about it is not the fact that you got sprayed. 00:11:52 Speaker 2: It's the fact that you let them roam around without any any punishment. 00:11:57 Speaker 1: Tell you something. 00:11:57 Speaker 2: If I saw four skunks in the field, I'm throwing fireworks at them. 00:12:01 Speaker 1: They bruh. They run Redondo. You could say that. 00:12:04 Speaker 7: You can say whatever you want, You say whatever you want me. I'm gonna tell you right now, they are winning that gang war in Redondo. They the animal control needs to get active because there's too many of them. It's too that that scene the other night, it was Monday, today's Tuesday. It was just yesterday. It was just yesterday. It was like five of them, and they were big. They're eating good. That means they're walking into the yards where people keep their dogs. I wear in California, people might keep their dogs. I can hear them barking here and there from time to time at night. They're going into people's backyards and punking their dogs. We're taking your dogs, and you guys, we're drinking your water. 00:12:47 Speaker 2: Why can't you can't you do something like they've got all these news you know, helicopters around and they're chasing. You know, uh, guys running away from cops and they're chasing all these high highway, high speed chases. Do you do this, hire one of those people, go to Redondo Beach, drop a net down from the helicopter to capture all those skunks and then throw them in a fire somewhere, just like in a fire, throw. 00:13:13 Speaker 1: Them in the ocean. 00:13:15 Speaker 2: Anywhere. That's fine. Hey, they'd probably be like you see how they're they treating animals. 00:13:22 Speaker 1: That You got a new incense Jny Brady sent it over. You saw they're treating dogs down there. Oh that's crazy. Try that on a skunk. 00:13:31 Speaker 7: That's crazy. That's crazy. Hey, they ain't they ain't losing right now. Raccoons they bowing down kyotes, coyotes, like I see like one coyote here and there, and they like they're hungry, like you could tell they just they're not eating. Well, them skunks have changed the game over where. 00:13:52 Speaker 6: I live, man, and nobody wants to eat. 00:13:53 Speaker 7: He would have never thought that. But if you think about it, they're like a wolverine. They're weasels, aren't they Like, aren't they weasels? Same thing family as like a wolverine? Right or a badger something like that. I think they're weasels. I could be wrong, but I'm just telling you they ain't playing around. 00:14:08 Speaker 6: Man. 00:14:09 Speaker 7: It's a different type they come in with it. It's a difference, like a mutant skunk. Like it's they're just different and they and they they're deadly accurate. 00:14:19 Speaker 5: Let me give you an example of the human form of a skunk. 00:14:22 Speaker 1: Okay, okay, it's those. 00:14:24 Speaker 4: People walking around with holatosis. 00:14:26 Speaker 7: You know what, I'm bad breath because they're the ones that light them to get up on you and spit on you and stuff like when they be talking, all kinds of spits comes out of it. 00:14:34 Speaker 6: Yeah, that's a good point. 00:14:35 Speaker 5: Like other people think it's the other end, but it's not. It's it's halatosis. 00:14:40 Speaker 4: That's what it is. 00:14:41 Speaker 1: Funky breath is the worst, bro. 00:14:43 Speaker 2: I mean, they're the reason the mask mandates were around for as long as they were. The people are like, just keep it on man, man. 00:14:49 Speaker 5: But the problem was then everyone started thinking it was okay to not brush their teeth or have bad breath. 00:14:55 Speaker 7: Which is crazy. You could smell through some of the you're gonna smell it. You should smell it now. Wearing a mask. It's really it's really unfortunate. Man. 00:15:06 Speaker 1: Why are they the ones that want to get up in your face? Though? 00:15:09 Speaker 7: Like I like to have a healthy distance when I'm talking to you, Like right here, we're more than arm's length away, probably like two arms lengths away. 00:15:16 Speaker 1: Yeah, this is comfortable. Like what's wrong with that? Why do people with. 00:15:21 Speaker 7: Funky breath want to be talking to you right there? Their hell be right up on your nose? 00:15:26 Speaker 2: Like, hey, man, so people see you, Hey, feel free to water pick and brush your tongue for anybody. 00:15:32 Speaker 8: To scrape it. Scrape that tongue? What you got to that's where that starts. 00:15:37 Speaker 2: The next thing, you know, you got some guy in your face like he's been gargling funions all day. 00:15:41 Speaker 1: Just awful nasty. Hey, and be aware of the skunks, man, they're trying to take over damn skunks by the way, lover sprap me. 00:15:55 Speaker 7: Man, My dog is a big dog too, out of borble like they're they're bred to like protect livestock from lions, tigers and bears. 00:16:05 Speaker 1: He running like he done got shot up to what's he wearing now? 00:16:09 Speaker 7: Like he's got to be close to two hundred by now, about one ninety small from. 00:16:13 Speaker 4: What I'm as big as your old Doug. 00:16:16 Speaker 1: Yeah. At the time of my Mastif's death, he was four to seventy three, so he's like a lion size. 00:16:24 Speaker 6: Yeah. 00:16:25 Speaker 1: So, but. 00:16:27 Speaker 7: I'm saying the videos though he looked grossly overweight, he's like he was. He was in my yard. That's that's uh. He was eating good totally uncalled for. That was not a yoked up big four hundred pounds. Was a fat ass dog. Sorry, boss, Yeah, sorry boss. He got to twelve and a half. 00:16:47 Speaker 1: That's good. That's a good. That's pretty good. Yeah. 00:16:50 Speaker 2: They seven to nine years average age range seven and nine, got big breeds, get the eighth and. 00:16:56 Speaker 1: That last meal was cheese. 00:16:58 Speaker 6: It's nice of him, some cheese. It's man, big time. 00:17:02 Speaker 7: Thanks for bringing it up, shouts out the boss, hog Man, Rest easy, my guy, yeah, man. 00:17:08 Speaker 4: Not that he died recently, and he also what fourteen years ago? 00:17:11 Speaker 1: Uh yeah, something like that, all right, something like that. That's all good. 00:17:14 Speaker 5: But you'll never find someone else talks about their dead dog more than put it this way. Fourteen years later, Abe, Lincoln was alive more recently than my dog. But you know, we still we still seemingly bring it up all the time. 00:17:26 Speaker 1: Stop you brought boss hog up. I just was he comes up because you bring them just your your potent borbal. I was just admiring your petit. 00:17:35 Speaker 7: I does love how you spun it around as me me, and you brought it to you like you Friday up? 00:17:42 Speaker 4: Well, how much sticks? Were you bringing sticks? You just let him attack Johns. 00:17:47 Speaker 1: I almost brought him into work this week. 00:17:49 Speaker 7: I almost brought him in because when I do the show from home, he's with me when I do the show from home. Like I almost brought him in, I might bring them in. Wanting to tell you, yeah, you just lay down. 00:18:01 Speaker 6: He won't. 00:18:01 Speaker 1: He won't mess with y'all. All right. 00:18:03 Speaker 7: He might hike his leg on you because you know, might smell the pheromones coming off of you. 00:18:07 Speaker 1: Damn uh. 00:18:09 Speaker 2: By the way, maybe you can bring that on Thursday night because Fox Sports Radio's Draft Night Live is this Thursday night, eight pm Eastern Time throughout the first round of the Draft. Hey, apparently we could have ourselves a reunion in the world of football. The Giants apparently worked out Odell Beckham Junior, and so there's a thought that they might go ahead and rekindle this old flame and bring back obg A to the Giants to start maybe catching touchdown passes from Jackson Dart there at MetLife Stadium and be fired up and ready to go. Who says you can't go back to an old friend. And apparently Obj and the Giants might actually this might actually happen again. 00:21:18 Speaker 1: Who to thunk it? 00:21:21 Speaker 4: Did? 00:21:21 Speaker 5: Giants fans want this, And I look at this and I say, all right, how does this make sense? I don't believe he started a game in three years. He set out last season right, and then the season before he caught went nine balls for like fifty five yards of Miami. I just I feel like the version of him that he once was for the Giants is a long time ago, and this is a young team, new coach. I'm just trying to figure out how this makes sense. Now, maybe you want a veteran guy who works his tail off. I mean, that's the one thing about Obj no one will ever question. He's got an incredible work ethic. I think, for you know, a lot of people out there, he does the right things when he's in the facility, and I think a lot of the drama maybe outside of it. Maybe I've missed some stuff, but it feels like it's not as much there anymore. So maybe that's why it makes some sense, or it's at least worth kicking the tires on. But again, he's a long long ways from what he once was, back when he was at as pride for this organization. 00:22:29 Speaker 7: I don't I think it's a I think it's a conversation because OBJ was such a a gravitational pool for the sport for a moment in time. His catch in prime time against Dallas, right, I mean, it couldn't have been a better setup to become a megastar. We talked about Steph Curry earlier on in the show. I don't know at this point now the relevance of Obija probably has has subsided so much, but he changed the way receivers play receiver Like, oh my god, if I had to tell you how many times I had to tell a guy stop trying to catch the ball with one hand, If I could tell you the amount of times I heard coaches say the same exact thing, it will blow your mind. He totally revolutionized which by the way, Chris Carter was doing it for a long time, Randy Mods was doing There's a few guys that were doing it. But OBJ made it a It was a movement I could turn it, turned into its own thing, and now nobody has a problem. It's actually celebrated, like look at him. 00:23:56 Speaker 1: He caught it. 00:23:57 Speaker 7: Like it's almost even common now to see guys catch the ball with one hand. Now it's like, how do you catch the ball? As if you could imagine, you could outdo Obj's one hand to catch has been outdone by other one hand to catches since that's happened. So I think the relevance of OBJ is connected to him having a moment in time that that kind of crystallized how we viewed OBJ. He became a larger than life figure. His his brand was larger than football. It went beyond the parameters of football. But in terms of football wise fellas looking at it where it's at now, that's more sentimental value more than anything else, because I think at this point, I mean, he didn't even play a snap of football last year. And if you guys recall, I believe he has a situation with pds, so he you know, he's trying to catch. 00:24:54 Speaker 1: On the game. Let's see he did. Let's see objp eds all right, let me look at that. 00:25:02 Speaker 4: Listen. 00:25:03 Speaker 7: All I'm saying is is that he's trying to capture a fountain that you probably still loves playing the game. I got six games, doesn't want to stop playing the game. And I'll just elevated testosterone levels. 00:25:15 Speaker 4: That's speculate, Jonas, what do you think it was? Come on this stuff? No one? No one loves when guys test. 00:25:22 Speaker 2: Positive rep Oh yeah, because I'm I just harken back to the old days, the good old days when you just meet up with some random guy who had a brown paper bag with the goods in it. You give him some cash and next thing you know, you got a needle in your ass. Like yeah, literally gassed to the gills. 00:25:37 Speaker 5: Jonas also believes that the oil change they did in the movie The Program, if you recall, he still thinks that goes on to I mean, like, was a Bill raman. 00:25:49 Speaker 4: His room and they're giving an oil change, but. 00:25:52 Speaker 1: They did say Bill suitcase. 00:25:55 Speaker 5: That's that's what Jonas thinks that you were doing the night before game. 00:25:59 Speaker 1: Never, it's like never used. 00:26:02 Speaker 11: Yeah. 00:26:02 Speaker 7: Look, although I feel like I rethink it, like if I could have done it all over again, maybe I should have. Man, you know, you start to hear things after you've retired, you start to learn about what what people's habits were. 00:26:14 Speaker 2: Can you use peptides in the NFL? Is that is that banned there as well too? I'm pretty sure. I'm pretty I think I think it is. I think it's banned. But there's a lot of people who look at it and go. 00:26:23 Speaker 1: Why it's a big thing right now? 00:26:26 Speaker 7: Pepides anyways, and even getting off on talking about this at this point, no offense to to him, but as it applies to being a relevant. 00:26:39 Speaker 1: I mean, you just called him a drug addict. 00:26:41 Speaker 6: No, I didn't. 00:26:42 Speaker 7: I was just I was just stating factual information of the fact that he didn't play last year and he was using pds, I mean, popped for pds. 00:26:54 Speaker 6: I wasn't you. 00:26:55 Speaker 4: Know if you ain't trying. 00:26:59 Speaker 2: I mean, that's what they say was that when he got kicked off the flight, I mean that flight, there's that that happened. 00:27:06 Speaker 4: What was this he was just tired. 00:27:08 Speaker 1: He didn't want to wait, well, they was trying to wake him up. He didn't want to be bothered. 00:27:11 Speaker 7: You know, you put your headphones on, you go under your your deal and they're like, listen, we got to be able to see your your seat belt, and you have to be responsive when we need you to be responsive. 00:27:22 Speaker 5: So in his defense, by the way, if someone takes like an ambient or something, I feel like I've never done that, but I feel like you'd be pretty songs. 00:27:30 Speaker 7: I had because I have a horrible back, And yes, you are sleep. You are sleep, and you might not even realize somebody's trying to wake you up. But yes, ambience, which is that's a great point because they were putting it on the fact that they thought that he had a substance and this, that. 00:27:46 Speaker 1: And the other and bla, and that's why he was Maybe he stacked down the ambience or whatever you call it. 00:27:51 Speaker 6: What test I mean, that's. 00:27:53 Speaker 1: What you tripped out. 00:27:54 Speaker 6: Man. 00:27:54 Speaker 7: I hope it works out for him if he gets the opportunity to retire as as a giant, like that'd be cool because that's where it all started for him. Like I said, he is one of the more polarizing figures that has played in the National Football League got his super Bowl. You know, he was able to get a super Bowl. 00:28:14 Speaker 5: You just you hope he's not getting in a fight with a kicking net. Some of the things that we saw. 00:28:19 Speaker 1: He's probably beyond that. 00:28:21 Speaker 4: You know, I had hope. I mean, I don't think we need that for a young quarterback. With Jackson Dart. 00:28:26 Speaker 7: Yeah, that there was some classic battles between him and Josh Norman and then sometimes they carried over to the kicking net and the kicking net. Yeah, I mean, he wanted that smoke with everybody. But you know, he's probably older, wiser now obviously it's fighting to keep that that testosterone level up so that he can actually get after that kicking net if he wanted to. 00:28:53 Speaker 2: Now, I think this also shows that there was some real value in that flag football game. 00:29:00 Speaker 1: You know, I think, oh, that's your that's your angle. That's interesting. 00:29:03 Speaker 2: Yeah, that's where that's where they really figured out that hey, this guy still got it. And uh and by the way, if you didn't see it, don't worry. You were just filled to the brim on social media with OBJ highlights. They made a concerted effort to try and get that out there and pump highlights from that game out and his highlight was one of the ones that made the rounds. There also Tom Brady's elusiveness in that flag football game, and I think it speaks volumes to the value of flag football and why I think that it's a key member of the football discussion. 00:29:33 Speaker 7: You know, can I throw this one out at you guys? He is and I've talked about how influential he is. He's super influential. Dude, who are they trying to reel in and get the most out of on that Giants team at the receiver's position Neighbors? Right, So is that an angle? You know, Molik Neighbors is an LSU alum and star receiver from there they consider themselves DBU and and why a receiver you maybe maybe the idea is you kill two birds with one stone. You're able to bring OBJ back home to finish out his career, and you talked about how hard he works and how good of an influence he could be. I mean, maybe the idea of it is a is you bring him in to make sure that Malik Neighbors is getting that guidance and maybe is getting that help. You got a new head coach and Harball there, Maybe Harball like seeing what we saw is Zay Flowers kind of throw him under the bus a little bit. Maybe maybe he's looking at it from the perspective of, you know, having player leaders and that could minimize what he. 00:30:37 Speaker 1: Has to do. 00:30:38 Speaker 7: Maybe that could be the potential of what the idea of thinking this could possibly work would be. But I don't see him coming in and being, you know, a guy that's going to change the fortunes of your offense or of your team at this point, and with the way he plays offense, is gonna have a lot of swag though, Yeah, they'd have that with him in Scataboo and Jackson Dart they have that going on there now. 00:31:05 Speaker 5: Scataboo could be at the front of the line bopping right absolutely. 00:31:09 Speaker 7: Scataboo was walking up hitting his head off with a wall when he was in college. 00:31:14 Speaker 1: They showed a video of that. 00:31:15 Speaker 5: He just he Yeah, he might be listening to like heavy metal, though he might be more in like Jonas's genre music. 00:31:22 Speaker 4: I don't know that he'd be bopping to, like. 00:31:23 Speaker 1: You know, I don't know what he would be listening to. 00:31:27 Speaker 2: He just a little fear Factory or Pantera. He just wanted them, dudes, man, Mara hate Breed. You just love to love him because he has that hate pretty that. 00:31:38 Speaker 6: Yeah, it's a real band. 00:31:40 Speaker 1: He fits that profile, like he fits the profile. 00:31:45 Speaker 5: How do you if you listen to a band named hate Breed, how do you justify that to yourself? 00:31:51 Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a great quest. 00:31:53 Speaker 4: I mean, you know, like it kind of starts with a what's the name of this band? Hate Breed? I'm out. 00:31:58 Speaker 2: Well, it's like one of those things you just say back to yourself out loud and go really like, I remember what was that HBO show They Want the Vampires? 00:32:08 Speaker 1: True Blood? That show I never watched. 00:32:10 Speaker 2: I never watched either, but I had my roommates try and convince me at the time to watch it, and I was like, so, let me get this straight. This is about some vampires and some not vampires who take over a diner in Louisiana. Like, yeah, I'm good, I'm not interested in that. So yeah, it's one of those band names where you look at and you go, hey, yeah, I don't know. 00:32:32 Speaker 7: But but the fact that you just pulled it right out, like off the top of your head, like. 00:32:36 Speaker 6: Is kind of band. 00:32:37 Speaker 2: I think Jamie Josta was the lead singer. You hosted a show on MTV for a while, and. 00:32:42 Speaker 1: That's your thing. 00:32:44 Speaker 7: Clearly, I just know that. But no, you don't just know that that's your thing. It's got to be your thing. Well, no, I mean they're not my favorite band, but that's your genre. 00:32:53 Speaker 1: That's what you like. 00:32:54 Speaker 2: No, I like all sorts of stuff, everything from Ramstein to Beethoven. 00:32:59 Speaker 6: You know you name it. 00:33:00 Speaker 7: All right, name another composer other than Beethoven, Mozart outside of those two, exactly like you was running off like every heavy metal band ever to play. 00:33:15 Speaker 2: I mean, look, you know it's what we're talking about music here. I mean, hate Breed, hate Breed, Beethoven. 00:33:22 Speaker 1: What do you want? It's the same thing. It's a difference. 00:33:25 Speaker 6: Johnny Cash. Johnny Cash. 00:33:28 Speaker 2: By the way, Brady used to call me back when I was winning a bunch of bets on DraftKings. 00:33:33 Speaker 4: He used to never won any any bets. 00:33:37 Speaker 5: Brady used to cash Noxtra, Damis, you'd be better off just donating all your every opportunity or every time you think yourself I should bet on this. You should just donate that money, you would do a lot of good in the world. 00:33:51 Speaker 4: Jonas. 00:33:52 Speaker 5: Yeah, well, look, if I Draftking gets it instead of them, why don't you just figure out some charities or something and. 00:33:58 Speaker 1: We're working on it. You know, you know, drop because you're not gonna money with it. Drop a few pass in the donation. Why are you going to pass? Man? 00:34:07 Speaker 6: What do you want? 00:34:07 Speaker 2: It's a home game for me. They're lying around everything you really has. Uh, there're somewhere Yeah, what. 00:34:16 Speaker 1: Hey, man, you tripped out. A little bit of a breaking news out of the NBA that Billy Donovan has stepped down as head coach of the Bulls after six seasons. That was a guy who was being discussed as potentially a candidate for North Carolina and there was a thought that with the restructuring of the front office there that maybe he had won a little bit of a power struggle and apparently not so. Billy Donovan is out, So who knows. Maybe that's somebody in play for the Golden State Warriors if Steve Kurr does decide to walk away. 00:37:43 Speaker 5: So the fact that they were looking at North Carolina that has to lead you to think that things weren't head. 00:37:51 Speaker 4: In the right direction. 00:37:53 Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a uh. 00:37:55 Speaker 5: That doesn't make sense to go from the professional level to college. I know we are acting like now, oh yeah, college and the NBA or it's all the sense, Like, no, it's not. You have way more rules and parameters at the NBA or NFL level than you do at the college level. In the nil world, Like I think once a coach gets down there, they think they might have an advantage because of their experience in pro sports, but once they started operating within it, they're like, no, no, this is a whole different world. Like I don't even know how to what to do, how to do it, Like everything's too too new, too green, Like they're still figuring it out and it changes every year. So that was the first time I thought to myself, all right, like, maybe he's not gonna be around anymore. I mean, they haven't made the playoffs since what twenty twenty two is the last time the Bulls when the playoffs. 00:38:43 Speaker 2: It's also a job to where you're never going to match or even come close to doing what happened in the nineties with Jordan, and that team was so good and so dominant and so historic that I just feel like it you're never going to compare to that. So it's almost like a novation. 00:39:04 Speaker 5: So are you never going to be able to take the Celtics job because you're concerned about all the history they had of the Lakers now? 00:39:10 Speaker 2: But I think that that run that they were on the Jordan, the impact in that city. I just don't think anybody views the Bulls since then Derrick Rose got his jersey retired, and there were people in Chicago going really like, are we're really trying that hard to get something from that era of dominance? That we're doing this for Derek Rose. Not that he wasn't a great player, but he had nowhere close to the impact anywhere close to that run that they were on. And I just feel like that job, you're you're just you're never going to be in the conversation with what that team did. 00:39:52 Speaker 1: I just don't think anybody matches. 00:39:54 Speaker 4: Up on that. That's a tough example to make. 00:39:56 Speaker 5: Derek Rose was on the path of being one of the great just to ever do it. I mean, he's the Rookie of the Year, he was the MVP in that four year span. H and that injury dramatically changed his career. Like I know, you're a Chicago sports fan, you go there a good amount family and mam with Illinois. 00:40:16 Speaker 9: Thank you. 00:40:17 Speaker 6: That's a good point. 00:40:18 Speaker 5: I do think that's a bit unfairly because he was such an incredible player up until that injury. But and also that might have changed that the direction of the franchise. I mean, if he continues on, I don't know. I just think that would have looked a little different and his career would have looked a lot different. 00:40:41 Speaker 1: Yeah, they were, they were exciting. 00:40:43 Speaker 2: They had a joke him Noah, they had all there was a lot of potential there. I just think that was the height of post Jordan, post that era, and it was I mean, they never came close to winning a title. 00:40:56 Speaker 7: You're going to have to get at some point a star that like how you mentioned the Lakers. I mean Kobe Bryant became that guy. They brought in other stars that were able to fill that bill. I feel like Chicago tries it, but until they win, because you're right, the standard is the standard in Chicago and and just the way things went with Jordan and that that era of time, it's just going to take them winning. They're going to have to win championships and and one would be would be a great start, and it'll be received differently, but it is hard to try to recreate the momentum that the Chicago Bulls franchise generated at that point in time during the during the NBA. 00:41:42 Speaker 2: And you know what, man, if you're a Bulls fan, don't worry about it. Football seasons right around the corner the Bears are going to go seven to ten. 00:41:51 Speaker 4: They were the Cubs, the White Sox. 00:41:56 Speaker 1: Six in a row for the Cubbies.
