<v Speaker 1>talk about it. This is what John Cena said about
<v Speaker 1>the criticism. This is according to CBS Sports. He said, quote,
<v Speaker 1>now I've heard the perspective of wins and losses don't matter.
<v Speaker 1>That's a very valid point. I love listening to feedback.
<v Speaker 1>That is such a political way to speak, a very corporate,
<v Speaker 1>hr sanitized way to speak. I love that question. I
<v Speaker 1>love that feedback. Shut shut up. No, you don't know.
<v Speaker 1>People don't actually speak like this. Normal people don't talk
<v Speaker 1>like this. But let's get it gets worse, and I do.
<v Speaker 1>I'm a big fan of John CNN, his work and
<v Speaker 1>his contributions. But all right, let's continue. He said, quote,
<v Speaker 1>we we've got to figure out the fan votes. There's
<v Speaker 1>still a lot to be done. But you can vote
<v Speaker 1>for the winners. You can also vote for everybody. That's
<v Speaker 1>a first time, and that's a first Okay again, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>let me just say that when you are a massive
<v Speaker 1>organization like WWE owned by TKO, and you have one
<v Speaker 1>of your biggest stars coming out there on a pl
<v Speaker 1>you can't present a half baked product. At least you shouldn't.
<v Speaker 1>This shouldn't be a quote unquote work in progress. This
<v Speaker 1>should have been thought through. And if you're such a
<v Speaker 1>fan of the product, how is this not one of
<v Speaker 1>the most glaring issues that wins and losses don't matter. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>you think that fans can just vote on whoever they
<v Speaker 1>want because they just willy nilly decide that they like
<v Speaker 1>this person the best. And by the way, Babyfaces will
<v Speaker 1>have the distinct advantage in pushing somebody forward. So it's
<v Speaker 1>not even based on any kind of merit or some
<v Speaker 1>story that w is trying to tell us. It's a
<v Speaker 1>popularity contest that Babyfaces are overwhelmingly going to win. So
<v Speaker 1>it's just horrible storytelling. This is a fatal flaw. This
<v Speaker 1>is not just a flaw that can be fixed. I
<v Speaker 1>mean it could if you just get rid of the voting.
<v Speaker 1>But this is not a oh, a bump in the road.

<v Speaker 1>need to be a stand a little event. Why can't
<v Speaker 1>that just happen organically? Call ups from NXT are so
<v Speaker 1>much more fun and unexpected than just forcing the NXT
<v Speaker 1>talent to be a be in a matchup with the
<v Speaker 1>main roster talent. It also takes away potential dream matches
<v Speaker 1>down the line, because you're like already I already saw that.
<v Speaker 1>Remember that with that John c in a thing, it
<v Speaker 1>takes away some of the magic. I understand that his
<v Speaker 1>whole thing, his whole thing is trying to give back. Well,
<v Speaker 1>figure out another way to give back. Okay, this ain't it,
<v Speaker 1>And maybe I'm totally wrong, maybe this will be a
<v Speaker 1>rousing success. But I have watched wrestling longer than John
<v Speaker 1>Cena has been a part of it. Now, it's not
<v Speaker 1>to say I'm more qualified than John Cena, although as
<v Speaker 1>a fan, I'm more qualified to speak because he being
<v Speaker 1>a part of it. Inside the business, being inside baseball,
<v Speaker 1>so to speak, it distorts your view of what the
<v Speaker 1>general public wants and what a fan wants. You can't
<v Speaker 1>get in the eyes of a true fan because you're
<v Speaker 1>not one of the true fans in the sense of
<v Speaker 1>being on the outside. For as long as I have it,
<v Speaker 1>many others have. Yeah, you may be inside the business,
<v Speaker 1>but you've been poisoned by the business. You have bought
<v Speaker 1>into the corporate bullshit, so you actually don't have a
<v Speaker 1>clear view of what the audience wants and you don't
<v Speaker 1>see some of the massive flaws because you are drinking
<v Speaker 1>the kool aid. All right, So again, an XT should
<v Speaker 1>be an organic call up, not a forced part of
<v Speaker 1>the event. It should be and I actually like the
<v Speaker 1>call up part of it. And I know that this
<v Speaker 1>isn't going to force them to be called up, but
<v Speaker 1>it's going to take away some of the magic of
<v Speaker 1>potential future matchups. And he says the fans are going
<v Speaker 1>to be able to vote everybody qualifies. Again, everybody should
<v Speaker 1>not fucking qualify. I know, in today's world, nobody should
<v Speaker 1>be excluded. Everything's about inclusivity, which is total bullshit. I
<v Speaker 1>think there should be more exclusivity than ever, you know why,
<v Speaker 1>because then the system would be based on merit, not
<v Speaker 1>just on who likes who? How is that? How is
<v Speaker 1>you being liked? Some kind of overwhelming bullet point on
<v Speaker 1>your resume? Overwhelming qualification to be a champion's it's the
<v Speaker 1>toxicity of twenty twenty six culture that everybody gets a trophy.

<v Speaker 1>People should feel bad about not qualifying and making it,
<v Speaker 1>you know why, because that forces you to work for

<v Speaker 1>respect that he's trying to do something new. I will

<v Speaker 1>led with that instead of just going into hammering this
<v Speaker 1>whole thing. I respect him trying to give back. I
<v Speaker 1>appreciate his effort to try something new. That's his whole
<v Speaker 1>life view is to try something new, go after it,
<v Speaker 1>go all in. I understand that I can respect that,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm not being hyperbolic. I'm not being sarcastic. I'm
<v Speaker 1>being serious. I actually do appreciate that new is always
<v Speaker 1>good for fans most of the time. Well, fans want
<v Speaker 1>new just as a default. But sometimes you just have

<v Speaker 1>by the fans. He just took this idea AND's like, hey,

<v Speaker 1>at the same time, I appreciate he's trying to do
<v Speaker 1>something new. So he says in ends closing, that's going
<v Speaker 1>to come with some praise, it's also going to come
<v Speaker 1>with some critique. And as one of the most polarizing
<v Speaker 1>figures in w WE for over the past twenty three years,
<v Speaker 1>it wouldn't be normal if there wasn't folks that were
<v Speaker 1>cheering in folks that weren't. Well, yeah, except you're not
<v Speaker 1>performing in the ring. John And I know he's he's
<v Speaker 1>speaking like a corporate stooge because he is. As I've said,
<v Speaker 1>this is no there's no way better to position where
<v Speaker 1>Johnson is at in his career now than propositioning him
<v Speaker 1>as and labeling him as a glorified corporate cheerleader. And
<v Speaker 1>I get it, he's being paid by the company. He
<v Speaker 1>loves pro wrestling, or at least sports entertainment, as he
<v Speaker 1>would probably say, because he's been involved in just really
<v Speaker 1>the sports entertainment part of it, and he's been one
<v Speaker 1>of the legends of biggest legends of all time. Absolutely,
<v Speaker 1>but he's not in the ring anymore. You can't just
<v Speaker 1>take what criticism you're getting now and just kind of
<v Speaker 1>brush it off like you did with your wrestling matches.
<v Speaker 1>In your personality, this is not just about you right now,
<v Speaker 1>right like you could take that criticism and booing you
<v Speaker 1>get in the arena and going, well, people love this character,
<v Speaker 1>people hated whatever. No, this is a concept you're trying
<v Speaker 1>to push that changes the schedule of WWE, and you
<v Speaker 1>said you're going all in on it. This is not
<v Speaker 1>just affecting you, so you can't. You actually have to
<v Speaker 1>magnify the criticisms and realize, Okay, we're not going to
<v Speaker 1>satisfy everybody, but what are some of the very common
<v Speaker 1>thread theme themed problems that we're hereering over and over?
<v Speaker 1>How do we address that? How do we take the
<v Speaker 1>wins and losses and actually make them mean something. I
<v Speaker 1>can't believe that John Cena did not see this to
<v Speaker 1>begin with, kind of impossible. As intelligent as he makes
<v Speaker 1>himself out to be and is well spoken and corporately
<v Speaker 1>hr sanitized language that he likes to use, which is
<v Speaker 1>how he speaks now, at least publicly. I'm sure privately
<v Speaker 1>he doesn't talk like this. I've heard private conversations off
<v Speaker 1>the mic and he's very much an F bomb normal dude.
<v Speaker 1>But when he's speaking publicly, he's adapted this human Resources
<v Speaker 1>approved like vocabulary, and it's annoying. It's so I hate
<v Speaker 1>hearing him speak, not because he's not well spoken by
<v Speaker 1>today's quote unquote definition of how you should speak as
<v Speaker 1>a corporate stooge, but just as a human being. Like
<v Speaker 1>if I had somebody in my life that spoke like this,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I tell I wouldn't even talk to them,
<v Speaker 1>I wouldn't be friends with This is not relatable. I
<v Speaker 1>hate the way he speaks. Hearing him speak is painful
<v Speaker 1>because you know it's an act of how he's speaking.

<v Speaker 1>like this because he's not a wrestler. He's trying to prove,
<v Speaker 1>he's trying to put forth an image. It's no longer
<v Speaker 1>about just his character, and he's spoken like this for
<v Speaker 1>a while now, but hearing him speak is just it
<v Speaker 1>physically pains me to hear him speak, because it's worse,
<v Speaker 1>almost worse than hearing politicians speak. Okay, I promise I'm
<v Speaker 1>dumb with that for now unless somebody else brings it up.

<v Speaker 1>the potential of Live getting attacked by Roxanne, yes, which
<v Speaker 1>we all know is coming. That tensions building with Roxanne
<v Speaker 1>and Live could end up being a SummerSlam match. The
<v Speaker 1>bringing up of Joe Hendry and soul Ruka. Yeah, although
<v Speaker 1>I would say that Joe Hendry's call up has been
<v Speaker 1>lackluster because they missed the boat by about two years.
<v Speaker 1>When it comes to his peak popularity and interest, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>this should be much a bit more of a big deal,
<v Speaker 1>and it's not. Feels kind of like, oh, they finally
<v Speaker 1>brought him up. Huh, they didn't strike when the iron
<v Speaker 1>was hot. It's cooled off significantly and now they need
<v Speaker 1>to figure out a way to heat it back up.
<v Speaker 1>But soul Ruka has been a really fun addition. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>she had a horrible botch on Raw, like embarrassing, but
<v Speaker 1>it happens. But overall, I think she's going to be
<v Speaker 1>a big big player on Raw or on SmackDown wherever
<v Speaker 1>she ends up. Ultimately, breaker versus rollins, I would agree
<v Speaker 1>a lot of fun. Gunther. Yes, when he actually shows up,
<v Speaker 1>they keep him off TV like much too often. I
<v Speaker 1>want to see more of Gunther. To me, he is
<v Speaker 1>like one of the sole men on the roster that
<v Speaker 1>makes it feel like a pro wrestling show. You know,
<v Speaker 1>he's not a character, He's just Gunther. He's this badass
<v Speaker 1>dude that has an awesome look, a great facial structure.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, he's just got a great facial structure that
<v Speaker 1>just just he's born with badass looks and he's worked
<v Speaker 1>his ass off to get his physique in line, and
<v Speaker 1>he is just pro wrestling. He is what pro wrestling is.
<v Speaker 1>I love it. Now. One thing that I will mention too,
<v Speaker 1>and this is this is my final thought, I promise
<v Speaker 1>on the John Cena Classic. Okay, if you have the
<v Speaker 1>fan voting, I'm gonna say this in a convoice. If
<v Speaker 1>the fan voting goes through as described on at Backlash
<v Speaker 1>by John Cena, if it actually is true that fans
<v Speaker 1>can vote through whoever even though that person's that said
<v Speaker 1>person lost, and they can vote on losers, which again
<v Speaker 1>is just so horrible, then why even have a wrestling
<v Speaker 1>tournament or whatever they end up whatever structure it ends
<v Speaker 1>up being, Why even why even go through the wrestling
<v Speaker 1>part of it, because all that matters is the votes.
<v Speaker 1>Ultimately they can supersede and veto any decision in any
<v Speaker 1>of the matches. The matches are actually useless. If the
<v Speaker 1>fan votes are really what will determine who wins and loses,
<v Speaker 1>then it's just stupid to put wrestling around it because
<v Speaker 1>that doesn't have any say in the ultimate finish, in
<v Speaker 1>the ultimate winner, you know, like the wrestling you could
<v Speaker 1>just have a bracket if they do tournament style. You
<v Speaker 1>could have a bracket with all the people that WWE
<v Speaker 1>has decided to put into this. Again, we'll pretend it's
<v Speaker 1>a tournament, in this tournament, and all you would have
<v Speaker 1>to do is just ask the fans, who do you
<v Speaker 1>want out of these I don't know twenty people to
<v Speaker 1>be champion. That's it. That's all you'd have to do,
<v Speaker 1>because ultimately the matches don't fucking matter. You see what
<v Speaker 1>I'm saying. That's how flawed that is. That's how flawed
<v Speaker 1>that whole premise is for the John Cena Classic that actually,
<v Speaker 1>you don't need to have any wrestling. You just throw
<v Speaker 1>twenty pictures up and say, vote on who you want
<v Speaker 1>to be champion. That's really what you're asking. You don't
<v Speaker 1>even need the wrestling. Okay, moving on, said that kind
<v Speaker 1>of com but not really all right, all right? The
<v Speaker 1>cons Cody, Yeah, I know you're still I would agree,
<v Speaker 1>but I would say I would think, here, here's a
<v Speaker 1>prediction for twenty twenty six. Excuse me, Cody Rhodes turns

<v Speaker 1>solo so CoA, Yeah, I would agree. I don't need
<v Speaker 1>to see any more tribal warfare, inter family samoan rivalries.

<v Speaker 1>versus Ja Ja versus Solo, solo versus Roman, Roman versus Jay,
<v Speaker 1>Jacob versus Roman. I don't need any said combinations. I
<v Speaker 1>know they're trying to bring Jacob Fatu up to that
<v Speaker 1>next level, but here's what I'll say, They've stifled it
<v Speaker 1>by putting him against Roman. Reigns one of the biggest
<v Speaker 1>baby faces of all time right now, arguably the biggest
<v Speaker 1>baby face in the company, and now the fans don't
<v Speaker 1>know what to do with Jacob. The reaction is like,
<v Speaker 1>it's kind of it's negative because he's attacking Roman and
<v Speaker 1>the fans are going to side with Roman if they
<v Speaker 1>had to choose. But also the reactions kind of dulled
<v Speaker 1>for Jacob just generally because the fans don't know what
<v Speaker 1>to do anymore. They had a nice organic push for Jacob.
<v Speaker 1>He was the guy that the fans were supporting, especially
<v Speaker 1>coming out of the MFTs, and now that he's faced
<v Speaker 1>Roman once and he's face he's gonna face him again,
<v Speaker 1>and he's attacking Roman. He's being vicious, the deathlock whatever
<v Speaker 1>it is, like they have put the fans in a
<v Speaker 1>position to go I don't know what to do here,
<v Speaker 1>like this is confusing. Things are going well and then
<v Speaker 1>you put him against Roman and what am I supposed
<v Speaker 1>to do with this? It's weird. It's weird. I don't
<v Speaker 1>like them. It was too soon to do that. That's
<v Speaker 1>a story you build up for over a year behind
<v Speaker 1>the scenes or whatever, and then it would have worked
<v Speaker 1>and the fans could have eventually got behind Jacob. But
<v Speaker 1>it just happened much too quickly. But the tribal stuff,
<v Speaker 1>I don't need to see any combination of anyone at all.

<v Speaker 1>you should be arrested if you are put in a storyline.
<v Speaker 1>Whoever comes up with the storyline to make Simoonan versus

<v Speaker 1>fun little combo. Imagine Umaga versus Jacob Fatu. What the

<v Speaker 1>knew they had more of the show to go. So
<v Speaker 1>people may have walked out. But if they walked out

<v Speaker 1>the bathroom, got merch whatever, walked around, even if they
<v Speaker 1>really didn't want to see the segment, they just left.

<v Speaker 1>don't want to watch something, what do they do? They
<v Speaker 1>sit on their phones? You know. So not only would

<v Speaker 1>default reaction for people who are bored or need constant stimulation,

<v Speaker 1>interest in Raw than SmackDown. SmackDown had less matches at

<v Speaker 1>which is too much on one show. I like some
<v Speaker 1>comedy on wrestling, but not too much. Well, again, that
<v Speaker 1>just reiterates my point that they TKO executives, not Triple H.

<v Speaker 1>seeing this trend, especially on SmackDown, towards the comedic, non serious,

<v Speaker 1>Kit Wilson. It is a bit skewed, no doubt, and

<v Speaker 1>if there's something that they're like, hey, we don't want
