This is from California inside California Politics, and Emerson polling Bianco in second place, tied with Tom Steyer for fourteen percent each. And then it's Bessera scrub It tied with Katie Porter in third place for ten percent each, followed by may Hen at five via Goo sent three, Boring Betty at one, and Tony Thurmand at one.

Speaker 1: Okay, couple of things that jumped to mind after looking at that poll. One is, and this is probably my background in political science that causes me to say this. I do believe there was a problem in the methodology of that poll. What's the problem in the methodology, Well, they did not include Eric Swalwell's name on the list, and you go, well, John, he dropped out of the race. He's no longer campaigning. He is not going to be showing up with the debates, he's not going to be campaigning around the state. He's not going to be raising and spending money. Yes, but his name will still be on the ballot. And I bet you anything, if you were to do a poll on the name ID of all of the candidates, he would have the highest name ID of all of them because he's been in the news for all the wrong reasons. But his name has been repeated over and over and over again. And Randy, if you go back to a race for Secretary of State many moons ago, when there was a Democratic candidate for that office, a state senator by the name of Leland Yee who represented San Francisco in the state legislature. He was running for secretary of State and then he got caught running guns for terrorists. Remember that, Oh, I remember Leland Yee. And then they charged him and then he went to prison and someone told me he just got out, so welcome back to the world Leland. But his name was still on that ballot, and not only did he generate votes, he did better than Dan Schnurr, whom all of the newspapers endorsed. He did pretty good. So I bet you, I bet you that even though Eric Swalwell has dropped out of the race and many people, including yours, truly believe he's probably a rapist, he's going to get thousands and thousands and thousands of votes and he's going to do better maybe than Tony Thurman and Betty Yee and maybe some of the others. That is so wild, his name still should be included on all of the polls. The other thing that jumped out at me is that even with Eric Swalwell not actively campaigning, everyone assumed that meant it was the end of the Republicans finishing in the top two. Well, if the election were held today, there would be two Republicans making it to the November ballot and no Democrats, which means that Katie Porter is probably going to have to get whacked because she was pulling at what eight percent something like that.

He was in awful Attorney General in California, and before that, he served in the House of Representatives for a long time, and Nancy Pelosi hated him. In fact, if you go back to when Joe Biden named him the Secretary of Health and Human Services, which was totally a DEI hire by their own admission, Pelosi was pissed that they didn't come to her first, because she said she would have told him to stay far away from Bakaia. We also know in that Mean Girl piece on CNN where Gavin staffers were talking about how Gavin feels about all the candidates, Gavin doesn't like Bakaria because Gavin didn't think Bakaria did a good job, as ag did an.

Hilton, Bianco, Stier and Porter had already cleared that bar, but with this latest survey, Bassetta and San Jose Mayor Matt Mahon now joined them, officially locking in their spots on the debate stage.
