For The Dads is for every guy who needs a place to talk, vent, and laugh about all the insane, hilarious, and chaotic sh** (sometimes literal) that comes with being a dad.

Hosted by Will Compton–NFL Vet, creator of Bussin' With the Boys, and proud dad of two. This show isn’t about expert advice and how fatherhood is the greatest thing on earth—it’s about embracing the love and suck of parenthood every day. From balancing work and family to battling the mental load, fears, and the moments that wreck you in the best way, we dive into it all with honesty, vulnerability, and a sense of humor. Cause at the end of the day... us dads have no idea what we're doing.

Alongside Will is his producer Sherman Young, a recently new father who’s currently deep in the trenches of Fatherhood and loving every minute of it. Together, they’ll break down everything that can go right and wrong (...usually wrong) when you bring tiny humans into this world.

Expect funny parenting stories, laughs, call-ins, advice, weekly themes, and the kind of conversations you’d have over a cold beer in the garage. Whether you’re raising teens or still Googling “how to install a car seat”, For the Dads is the ultimate podcast for dads who are in it, about to be in it, or just trying to do their best while screwing it up along the way.

If you are international on foreign soil, ya six to oh one the Dads at gmail dot com. You can write in. You can talk about a win when you're calling in, writing into the Boys you can. You can talk about a win, you can talk about a loss. You can talk about a dad hack, something that you're seeing out there that some dads. You want to put dads on some game. If you want to talk about products or tools or things to put in a survival kit, whatever you want to do, call in a six on one the Dad's leave a voicemail or again, if you're international, right two six and one, the Dad's at gmail dot com and you can reach us that way. Continue to leave comments. The comments have been unbelievable. I'm looking at one right now for another reason, you know, shouting out the pod and everything else. This is from Mason M thirteen, first time Kentucky dad. Kentucky dad, a six month old boy, found this show when my son had just been born, and it has totally changed my mindset when it comes to fatherhood. It's so nice to have a community of dad sharing their struggles and wins. Wednesdays are now my favorite day of the week. Keep up the good work, go big Blue. That's another massive reason community this pop a team six S crew. We got they're the best. There you go, shure, Yeah.

00:02:04
Speaker 2: The PT sixth grade that we have is undefeated, and some were even calling for heads on social media. Just this last week in defense of William Compton.

00:02:13
Speaker 1: I saw that which which thing was it under? It was with all the Josh paid stuff. Oh hey, the job buddy.

00:02:23
Speaker 2: Hey, you want to talk about resilience, hard work, coming in there defending a guy that's a blue collar guy who does that sound like is going to defend that PT.

00:02:33
Speaker 1: Six PT six. They were ready to go. They were at the forefront. They were letting me know what to do. They're attacking me. Where are you sure? Because that was a that was a race. That ratio was coming at very fast, at a very fast speed. Yeah, very fast speed. I want to say. I responded to that dude like twenty hours later from his post and within hours like the ratio was coming because it was like a very popular tweet that was going around about Josh Payton just hating on our boy, Josh paipe. Yeah, and we put this dude six feet under with the ratio, you.

00:03:06
Speaker 2: Put him twelve feet under and it just put the final little piece of dirt packing the dirt in and PT six going you sureman.

00:03:14
Speaker 1: Shoot him, shoot him? I'm like he's dead. Yeah, I do. Then the boys opened the casket, they say the body's gone. Dude deleted his account, went to private. Okay, he was ratio, this was public. I want to say his username was having fun online. It was it was having fun, I having fun online. I want to say he paid for the blue check mark, like this was an operational account. Yea, And the ratio was coming so fast, and PT six and the Payton Staters Tier ones bustled with the goom berets. The goon berets were on full force to where then the dude took his public account, he made a private couldn't get to him. I still take a screenshot saying, like, just know what battle was won today? This coward went from public to private and then he deleted his account, didn't signed off permanently. And people out there who have no context on what's going on might might just be sitting there thinking if really c just bullied somebody.

00:04:09
Speaker 2: No, nay, he never came in defense of a friend who was being bullied.

00:04:15
Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. This dude was trying to come at Josh Pate saying that he's essentially a nobody. He has zero credibility. He did nothing in his life, He didn't play football, heating coach. He's never been on an administration. He has a set of production meetings. He's just a bald dude with a white tea and a mic. It was just trying as a post to where you're you're knowing Josh is gonna read it, and you're doing your best to make this dude feel bad about his success.

00:04:41
Speaker 2: You just gave him like the biggest compliment of all time in that it was truly a eminem like tell me something they don't know.

00:04:49
Speaker 1: About me moment. Like he's like, yeah, you just you put it all on paper, and guess what. I still get clicks. Yeah, I still get clicks.

00:04:58
Speaker 2: Hey, somebody else that's coming into find of bullys. I don't know that for sure, but I know that. Isaiah mgana dash q Zac two to one on YouTube. He said, Hey, great, so jents absolutely love watching this every week.

00:05:14
Speaker 1: Thank you for all that you do. Pt.

00:05:16
Speaker 2: Six out just a nice, happy fun comment, nice happy fun comment. Also Steven kaphone or got a fall on four seven one five on YouTube. Man, I needed this today. I worked three to three to twelve ours. I worked three twelve hour shifts.

00:05:38
Speaker 1: There.

00:05:38
Speaker 2: You got a week for the most part. The rest of the time, I'm a stay at home dad. I don't know why, but I was feeling down and I just got the biggest smile on my face, ready to take my daughter out when I get home from the gym this morning, to go to the playground and the Dollar Tree and watch some Clifford the Big Red Dog.

00:05:56
Speaker 1: Thank you boys. What a dude. That gets me going. So the soad picked him up. This picked him up a little bit.

00:06:04
Speaker 2: This soad picked him up, And I felt that exact same way, Stephen, that exact same way this weekend.

00:06:10
Speaker 1: Or you're just kind of feeling lethargic, dove lethargic, but just kind of down, just kind of like.

00:06:18
Speaker 2: Run down to the point where you're like you're not excited for the fun stuff and you're almost wanting to like cancel fun stuff plans.

00:06:27
Speaker 1: You careful of daylight saving time? Yes, dude, I see, I don't. I know, I know that's a real thing. I know, just my own my own Jocko Willie, No one's yeah, I don't like buying the daylight saving stuff. To me, I like I was, dude, I was, I've been feeling that vibe a little like you came in here last week and I was just over there, reclined on the Yeah, on the love seat. Yeah, just like exhausted At times sometimes you're just like, dude, I'm over it right now. It catches up to you. Yeah, life does. Yeah, And you got to do such an intentional job of just like recalibrating, you'd like, hardest, hardest. Fuck did you got to recalibrate insanely? And just I don't. I like, for me, I always know to the core of me, and this dad did it. It's saying it sounds like he got under the squad rack, he got under the bench pressure. He's just thrown around some dumbbells. I know for me, when I look as closely as I can to Will Compton, when I am feeling run down, exhausted, kind of irritated, kind of just annoyed about a few different things. For me, it's always my It's always like my health. It's always like physical exercise and eating. Right now, I will say daylight safe when the sun does go down and the candies out and Spootober's happening, Thanksgivings coming up, Christmas is coming up. The treats, the foods, the meals, it gets pleasurable. It does. It gets pleasurable, Like I start eating for sport because it tastes good for whatever reason. When it gets a little colder outside, I just get more excited about eating food. But then I eat the food, I feel bloated, I feel lethargic. I know I didn't work out earlier in the day. I didn't work out yesterday. Yeah, any like steam rolls to where I can start. I don't really start projecting hard. I'll just start like coming, I'll just start getting quiet. Yeah, because I'm irritated, mostly with myself.

00:08:22
Speaker 2: Yeah, I get I get very defeated with myself, and then I retreat in words and don't express that defeat. Yeah, which if I express the defeat, it would then people in my life that are willing to like talk me through something like hey, Sherman, it actually you're worrying way too much about that, and then oh boof it goes away.

00:08:45
Speaker 1: But instead I sit and I fester and oh was a dad's name who wrote in Steven Steven shout out, Stephen, thank you for sharing that man. It's got Stephen Catofphon. Yeah, I just want you to know where You're not alone, brother.

00:08:58
Speaker 2: I just love how wholesome that is. Dude, just sitting there watching Big Red Dog, watching some Clifford.

00:09:04
Speaker 1: Clifford, sweetheart, you know, little girl was just fired up. I don't want to dive. I'm glad he's juice back up. I hope you had at least three plates on each side on that squad wreck. I hope you did too. This is one from Katie Josen Hans. Another one from Katie facts just a little remit. The fact that you were surprised people showed up to our bootha zoo is crazy. This show is so great. It's such a massive positive thing for dads and moms. Y'all are so fun and real about parent thing. I'm not surprised at all. Sad we missed it though, Katie, thank you so much. Thank you so much. Peter and Hans repeater fantigame for new viewers and listeners out there. There's multiple ways to reach the boys. I told you about the hotline told you can write an emails. We love reading fun comments. You can follow us on social media for the dad spot. You can leave comments on YouTube. We love reading them all. I have another. I have one more good vibes. One okay, one more good vibes. So mom, listener here and appreciate what you learned from the workshop, and we'll use that very formative and love the dad perspective. What Aaron is referring to is we did like a Core Values exercise last week. If you did not catch that episode, strongly encourage you to. Wife was laughing at me after she listened to the episode, like you were trying to get you getting in like teach, like trying to get and teach your mode and regurgitate all the stuff, and we just had it. We shared a good laugh about it. I was like, I know, I was doing my best. I was, you know, consumed it all that day because I was super like it tapped in, you know what I mean. I wasn't lolotched back kind of like why are we here just like surviving through it? Yes, I was like tapped into it. Dude. I'm like trying to write stuff down, and as I'm writing it down, I'm like something clicked about like the goals in marrying the challenges to the goals, and I'm like, we're about to do Core Values before the dads, Like this is like a sign.

00:10:49
Speaker 2: I love when people get into those moods. You one time you had discovered in screenwriting the hero's journey.

00:10:59
Speaker 1: And script writing. Yeah.

00:11:01
Speaker 2: Yeah, unbeknownst to you, I took a screenwriting course in college and was well aware of the hero's journey.

00:11:07
Speaker 1: But you had it on a whiteboard.

00:11:09
Speaker 2: And we're giving just me on this side, a solo breakdown of the hero's journey. I just let you go because you were stoked, and I was like, dude, I love watching people just like when they learned something and then they're teaching it.

00:11:23
Speaker 1: I was like, okay, I'll get a refresher on this. A long herose journey, the hero's.

00:11:27
Speaker 2: Journey, they come across the challenge, the gatekeeper. Yeah, that's where the journey begins. Where's the challenge in our story? It's this part right here.

00:11:38
Speaker 1: And you did a good job of applying to your busting together, to your transition fans, you know, the fando stuff.

00:11:45
Speaker 2: Yes, and the video turned out great. You wrote the whole script. It was fantastic. Oh, don't be modest.

00:11:53
Speaker 1: You murdered. I edited it. Yeah, but you thought of all the shots, all the creative Like, I just gave you some scripting and some storytelling, like we can go back and forth, and we go back and forth. You're so good. Oh my god, get your bowls in my mouth. It's a dad spot. This is what dads do. We bust balls, we have fun. This is the dad podcast. Yeah, the good guys, don't be modest. Get your pants down. Let me tell you how good you Ally.

00:12:26
Speaker 2: Somebody else that needs to get their pants out so we can tell how good they are.

00:12:31
Speaker 1: Best Stove, best so Mystic.

00:12:34
Speaker 2: We kind of an Italian thing going on right now, Best so Mystic. Hey, new job in five minutes from my wife's. My new job is five minutes from my wife's. First day is right now, making breakfast for the wife and before we commute together.

00:12:50

00:12:53
Speaker 2: And felt the baby cake for the first time this weekend, feeling incredibly blessed. Thank you for the boys. Shout out, shout out, we got a baby on the way. And then Sam Burb on YouTube, Oh, we're shouting out the new parents right now.

00:13:08

I could be shout out, justin, shout out Justin Doherty to SHUTU, justin shout out reading dourtey shut out.

00:13:49
Speaker 2: Sam Burb says on YouTube, currently watching on the couch pulling night duty after getting home from the hospital with my first Congrats, dude, congrats nine months ago having sex wife, he delivered him sunny side up after a thirty five hour war in the trenches. She's an early front runner for the Toughest NT six or Award of twenty twenty five. Oh truly grateful for having the show to watch leading up to fatherhood and now joining it. Yeah you are, Sam, You've been knighted into PT six.

00:14:25
Speaker 1: Welcome dude, Dick and knee they good knee hit each shoulder. Benny from Oregon. My boy was born four days ago. Panic ensuing, good, good, Am I fit to raise this little man. We don't know, We don't know what if I'm a shitty partner for my wife. You could be, it could be. Can I handle the hard moments in the sleep deprivation? Yes? Sorry, that was throw me away. I just want to go sleep deprivation, sleep deprivation. Hang on, let me read that part again. Can I handle the hard moments and the sleep deprivation? Maybe you can't. You can't. Then I have the moments like right this second, where this little ball of flesh is taking a bottle wrapping his hand around my finger, and I think what else can I possibly do but be the best dad possible for this little dude. Appreciate you boys and sickles out there, could use your prayers and encouragement for real dude, Benny, shout out you man, Congratulations on your little boy. Life is just beginning, my friend.

00:15:24
Speaker 2: God, dude, life is so chaotic, and it really does slow down. It slows down when they wrap that little hand around your finger.

00:15:31
Speaker 1: Dude. Oh, I tell you what. Locked the fuck in though, lock in for wifey.

00:15:38
Speaker 2: I have to have to lock in for wife Locke.

00:15:43
Speaker 1: Lock in, buddy.

00:15:44
Speaker 2: Oh man, I so I had a I had a crazy packed weekend.

00:15:50
Speaker 1: It was really really good. Uh yeah, you had you had scarlet on by yourself on Saturday.

00:15:55
Speaker 2: Yeah, on Saturday, which is gonna be that's gonna be the new norm with Jill's work schedule. I'm gonna have solo scarlet Saturdays. So it could just be a new thing on the show, which is nice.

00:16:09
Speaker 1: I'm loving it. I wanted to mix it up. Uh.

00:16:13
Speaker 2: I got an invite to these stars Predators to game Go Stars.

00:16:18
Speaker 1: Uh, they caught the dub.

00:16:20
Speaker 2: I went with Cooper Comstock that's here in the shop raving a plus record.

00:16:26
Speaker 1: I saw that too. You gotta you know, you know, you guys can always hit us up if you need some help with getting tickets, because I saw.

00:16:34
Speaker 2: You like in the notes, Oh if we need help getting tickets. No, No, You're saying like, hey.

00:16:41
Speaker 1: Yeah, I saw the video. You know. I had a smile on my face. Here you do this and then you whip it around and I'm like, oh shit, we're in the bleeds high up operate this week.

00:16:53
Speaker 2: I do like, I'm not trying to defend those seats like we bought them because they're cheap. But I loving hockey the bleeds that are on the like you're behind the goal, you're behind the net. I love those seats because you can truly see the offense develop.

00:17:11
Speaker 1: So look, if you don't want to bang on the glass and be in the front, I mean.

00:17:14
Speaker 2: Hey, you don't like those seats some glass, Yeah, I'll fully take you up on that.

00:17:23
Speaker 1: I'm just letting just letting you know, just for future sake, what if you go to a ball game, just think I wonder if the boys have any type of connection where we could get some seats.

00:17:32
Speaker 2: Hey, that's a that's the kype of ticket that's going to keep you in somebody's pocket.

00:17:38
Speaker 1: Keep you in somebody's pocket. Uh, that's a that's Pete six fraternity right there.

00:17:44
Speaker 2: That is that is Yeah, I know that you would you know that was a joke to keep you in somebody's pocket. Yeah, I would not think that Will would do.

00:17:54
Speaker 1: Yeah I know. Okay, okay, but we were in the bleeds.

00:17:59
Speaker 2: Uh, dude, Scarlett just absolutely enjoyed the hockey game.

00:18:03
Speaker 1: We could pull up that video Will.

00:18:05
Speaker 2: I'm telling you the entire time, she's literally like this fired up, oh, fully glued to the ice where I just had her sitting in my lap like watching the game and I'm holding her arms and she did not cry once.

00:18:20
Speaker 1: It was impeccable.

00:18:22
Speaker 2: So I'm sure that you're sitting there wondering why does Sherman have this under his dad losses this whole.

00:18:29
Speaker 1: I didn't know we were all in the category of well, I'm just we you're wondering why I failed? How did Sherman screw this one up?

00:18:41
Speaker 2: Cooper Comstock and I want to get his thoughts on this for a social clip because I would love to hear him candidly when I'm not around, his thoughts on what happened. But he is a diehard Stars fan, like a true sicko. This whole thing was his idea. I was with him and his girlfriend. Shout out his girlfriend, She's incredible, was helping watch Scarlet. They came to the house early because they knew I had to feed Scarlet at one and the games at two thirty. I pretty much had everything together, but we I couldn't find her headphones, So then Coop's helping me on the changing table watching Scarlet. I'm digging through the headphones, like looking for him Jills at work. She finally tells me where they are because she knows where they are. I didn't amy at the Texter. Yeah, I texted me little tew. I hated that that right, there's a quick go.

00:19:32
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a quick al geah that you never want to be the dad that's like, hey, where's this at? I do it all time, but anytime I do it it like pains me. I'm like fuck. And Coop's like, hey, you we don't need to rush. It's all good games at two thirty, it's all good.

00:19:46
Speaker 2: It's one fifteen. Like where you say, I know Cooper? I like, I don't want to miss discuss. That's a good teammate right there. That's a good teammate staying poised in the pocket. Great teammate. Tell me not to stress. ADDIE's like playing with the dogs. She's being so sweet with Scarlet. They both were really good with Scarlet being so sweet. We get out the door. We're driving. We got the Lullaby remakes playlists. I have to put you on. It's called Rockabye Baby. Have you heard it. It's just it's all stay on course. It's stay on course, down course, stay on rock a Bye Baby playlist is bumping. We're in the car, vibes are so high. We get to the parking garage. We're about to be ten minutes early for this game. I forgot the diaper bag. I forgot the diaper bag with the headphones, the blanket, the diapers, the bottle, the formula, the extra the extra change of clothes in case she shits herself. Everything that is vital to this day being successful, left it at the house. Get on stuff hub to the transfer the tickets to Kuperinatti, so they don't have to live in my shame and my own personal health that I've created for myself. Can't transfer the tickets. We gotta all walk in together.

00:21:15
Speaker 1: And the you're a real piece of shit.

00:21:20
Speaker 2: Can I tell you the look of forgiveness on Coop's face. That's when I knew, like, you really are a good friend.

00:21:29
Speaker 1: He was the entire time.

00:21:31
Speaker 2: You don't even worry about it. It's all good. What the game goes into extra periods, Hey, free hockey. We'll get to watch three periods if it goes into OT. This this game could go into OT. Both these teams are good.

00:21:44
Speaker 1: Just sitting there trying to make me feel so good.

00:21:46
Speaker 2: I'm literally death gripping the steering wheel out of embarrassment. And then, of course, because we're in the car going there, back there, now, Scarlet's getting fussy, So now you know the cry are starting to happen.

00:22:00
Speaker 1: I'm just like, now the cries are really they're touching God. I'm just spiraling in the driver's seat. This is where you just staring at the road and you hear nothing. The crying's happening, but the cry starts fading because like a dog whistle, noise starts coming in your ear as you watch as you're looking at the road.

00:22:21
Speaker 2: Truly, bro the amount of forgiveness that Coop showed me in that moment, how chilly was about everything. We still ended up We did make great time and we got there right at the end of the first period. So did we miss a period of hockey, yes, but we got to watch two more periods of hockey. The Stars ended up coming back with four minutes left in the third and one. It was a great time. Uh but godly, dude, I have never felt like such a bum. I guess who's always gonna double check for the bag?

00:22:55
Speaker 1: Now? Always you? I say that? Do you say good? So many times?

00:23:04
Speaker 2: And there's some more on here. Dog ran away in the front yard. Good went to go get him. As I'm coming back carrying him, holding and going what are you doing, what are you doing? Stepped in his poop?

00:23:14
Speaker 1: Good?

00:23:14
Speaker 2: Good? God threw those shoes away. Good because I was so pissed. I just threw him. Do you want to clean them? And Porch Pirates stole my dinner on what was that Sunday?

00:23:25
Speaker 1: When I tex good? Yeah, you did text me. You were like, hey, what was that number? Yeah? We yeah, we'll keep it tight. Yeah, we'll keep it tight. But we'll keep it tight. We don't know the enemy, which enemies are out there listening?

00:23:34
Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, but uh and I know this is a kid show, but just a huge fuck you to Porch Pirates.

00:23:41
Speaker 1: Just wanted to say that. Just apparently he had his entire meal dropped off within a minute.

00:23:47
Speaker 2: Three minutes of my meal being dropped off. Porch Pirates have to well, God gets simply safe, simply safe.

00:23:58
Speaker 1: Got to get it simply safe. Hey, that's a tough beat over the weekend, the forgetting the diaper bag, especially when you're rocking solo and you're like, I'm the guy, Like, ain't nobody coming to save me? Dylan Reilo goes down. It's this is this is TJ latif.

00:24:14
Speaker 2: Time and I could have come back to the office with that story just coming at me from all angles, Like Coop could have come back and just told everybody about what a fucking bomb I was, and instead I have everybody coming up to me going, dude.

00:24:27
Speaker 1: Coop said, you were killing it. That's a good star right there, because you didn't just throw a pick six like you ran around the pocket a little bit and threw it across your body to the other side of the field like a muffin, and somebody jumped and pick it off and took to the house. Everybody's watching. Like before before he picked it off, I hit him with the.

00:24:45
Speaker 3: To the sideline. I was letting him know. Yeah, like, oh kids, kind of got it. That says a lot about the character of Cooper Comstock.

00:24:53
Speaker 1: Again, yes it does. There's another instance yesterday.

00:24:56
Speaker 3: I'm not going to name who it was, but this person backed out on an event with Coop.

00:25:02
Speaker 1: Coop wasn't gonna say anything. Backed out on an event with Coop.

00:25:05
Speaker 3: Yeah, it wasn't his fault, but he and then he publicly told the office and all year Coop say is I wasn't gonna say anything. I was just gonna let it, let it all out, because that's the guy Coop is Coop's a Foxhold guy.

00:25:16
Speaker 1: He is a Foxhold guys. It's big ups to him too, because he doesn't he's not a parent. He does have kids. Yeah, you could get a magnitude a range of reaction there.

00:25:25
Speaker 2: Yes, and is so good with kids, so good with Scarlet.

00:25:31
Speaker 1: I need I need to see what he's like with little scott Zilla.

00:25:33
Speaker 2: Oh dude, he would kill He loves babies and he's really good with them.

00:25:38
Speaker 1: He's like holding Scarlet as I would. Dude. Coop was so on it.

00:25:42
Speaker 2: Hey, any ST sixers at home, when you go hang out with your PT six friend that's got a kid, be a Cooper Comstock when I'm going to go change my little girl's diaper, which that went awesome?

00:25:56
Speaker 1: Like that was great. At the game.

00:26:00
Speaker 2: What do you want to eat? What do you want to drink? We'll go get food for you. I come back with freshly changed Scarlet. He's got my food. He's like, hey, let me hold Scarlet while you eat.

00:26:10
Speaker 1: I'm like, that's a that's bro right there, Bro, that's an ST six. That's a that's a that's an ST six. Or you can be proud of chef Cooper Coms high in the ranks. He's high in the ranks. He's he's helped carrying out the standard team. He's two star general.

00:26:27
Speaker 2: The two star general right there, dude. And you know his girlfriend. I'm telling you this, dude. You know his girlfriend's sitting there taking notes. Yeah, she's going. I like what I see is boy nurtures.

00:26:39
Speaker 1: Oh well loves Well, that's a good good friend, good loyal dog.

00:26:45
Speaker 2: Stayed like you said, and Chaos stayed poised and your boys. Shrom was as frantic as hell. Frantic as hell. I had shaky hands going when we were driving back home.

00:26:58
Speaker 1: Oh I can imagine, I can you already know? Sherm. He was beating himself up.

00:27:04
Speaker 2: But I digress, I digress. How is your weekend, sir? Weekend was phenomenal.

00:27:09
Speaker 1: On Friday, we did Pizza Friday because we had this November Gillett event we had to do on Friday night for busting, so we ripped Pizza Friday a little early. Then not Cinderella, a Peter Pan movie, brutal, which he didn't like. Did not like. Yeah, don't blame the acting, terrible story, Like it sucked. Saturday. What did we do on Saturday? It's such a blur. Date night with wifey, Date night with white. Indie movie. Indie movie, Bad, bad Bad, don't go see the Mastermind. We had a great family morning. We went to Hanks down in Franklin. Awesome coffee shop, highly recommend, good vibe. Then we went to the Franklin Farmer's Market, another great vibe. We hung out there for a pretty long time and got the kids back, did naptime, all the fun stuff. Rue Uh. Just she's on arts. She's in arts and crafts mode, bro, she really is. She's all about coloring, she's all about drawing. She's all about getting on the what's it called easel. She got her a little easel and she's just on it all the time. She's all about it. Man. She wrote Opah, which is Grandpa Filipino, like the Filipino word for grandpa. I believe, or maybe it's German. I could be off. I know Opah's German. Lopa is German. She's a Filipino. I believe Lola is like grandma from in the in the Philippines.

00:28:31
Speaker 2: Did they have German descent as well? Charles Dad, Yes, oh okay, I didn't.

00:28:37
Speaker 1: Charles mom Philippine Philippines.

00:28:40
Speaker 3: Is there respectful way to say yes in Filipino used when speaking to an elder or someone of a higher status. Okay, yes, ma'am, Yes, sir about op that's o po it's a spelling.

00:28:52
Speaker 1: I don't know. Oh gotcha. Yes, we're out of our depths right now. Listen Lola and Nopah. But Rue was writing Opah a birthday thing. I have no clue. It's just a bunch of scribbles all over the place. And she's like basically equating it to a poem. And she's talking about this poem and if you're gonna do this, she got a rite happy birthday and just gets in the storytelling mode. And you got to sit there like I'm talking the arts and crafts she makes like you know very much. The butterfly. Yeah, but the line like you got those there's lines on the butterfly, Like that's just coloring. She's tightened up her coloring. She can kind of color. Yeah, she gets outside the lines a little bit, but she's tightened up the coloring. Good with what color she uses. Now, just like that, you know, I don't know what make it rain? Yeah? Yeah, it's like hey, a bat. But when she growing she drew the family, like at school last Friday, she came home, dare you gotta look at my pictures? And opened it up and it's like, Dad, it's just like a big circle and a guy with like massive eyes and like a frown and she's like, there's you off to show you the photos, but buddy, the fake and you have to do in front of your kids be like, oh my gosh, you no, you didn't. So if I call your teacher right now, she's gonna say you drew that. Yeah, dude, that is awesome. And I'm looking at it and just like my eyes are slowly zooming in on this photo like what she had you frowning? Yeah, I might, I might. I might have grabbed a photo of it because I need to post it. I meant to post it because she also drew waffle waffles like waffle kind of like picture of that cheap yeah, but obviously without all the cot but just kind of like a circle, like a broken circle, and then the legs were just four lines under like that cheap is Oh hell yeah, yeah, okay, So she's getting dialed in. Yeah, she was getting dialed in.

00:30:41
Speaker 2: Also, we need to update our fridge.

00:30:45
Speaker 1: And that's not.

00:30:46
Speaker 2: Like, oh, y'all need to like we need to we need to provide stuff.

00:30:50
Speaker 3: We're doing a lot of production. That looks incredible. I mean, that's incredible. Did she actually draw that?

00:30:58
Speaker 1: She drew that?

00:30:59
Speaker 4: Man?

00:30:59
Speaker 1: If I call your teacher, like your teacher is going to say, rude drew that he texted dang, Yeah, I'll text it to you. And that's uh, that's data. Yeah. And there's Scotti up top.

00:31:16
Speaker 2: There's scott Zilla making a Godzilla turn them one.

00:31:20
Speaker 1: Yeah, bro, Scotti is a Scotty's officially. One man. Got a little birthday party this weekend on the fence, on the fence, you know, passing out and invites the yeah yeah yeah to the boys of the shop. No, I feel you because I believe the family's coming in town and I'm like you, I'm so hit or miss and everybody view and are listening. Help your boy out here. Thoughts on a birthday party for a one year old go ahead, Jeff speak for seeing a small story from my family.

00:31:52
Speaker 3: My parents threw a big one year old birthday party and they bought a really nice cake. This back when we lived in Dallas, I forgot the famous cake shop. Sure you know it?

00:32:01
Speaker 1: Uh? Who turned one? That's it? Is it Blue Bond Baker? That might be me? This is one my parents always tell the story. They can't shut up about it.

00:32:10
Speaker 3: They bought a three hundred dollars birthday cake and my mom said that although it was the greatest cake they've ever had, they said why. The joke is like, why the hell did we do that for a one year old? It's always been a discussion was like why.

00:32:23
Speaker 1: Did were there? Did people come over? I think so I don't remember, so here here here, he's like my here's like my vibe on it because I think I'm like, what are we doing for a one year old? Like I think we do like a what's the cake call? Where you can like mush it smash cake, get them a little smash cake that they can kind of mess with. Oh yeah. Two. And then Charles got like this board to have like all of her monthly photos two month old, three month old, and it's like Lama theme because she loves her little stuff Lama. So we don't do a whole lot. But my thought is always like why are we throwing a birthday party for a one year old? Like they're not gonna remember. They don't know any of this. But now that we did it for Rue and family came, the town of friends came over. Like uh Now, My thought is like, dude, it's just an excuse for the adults to hang out, yeah, celebrate and get around each other, especially in these months where it gets a little darker early, it's gonna be a good vibe.

00:33:12
Speaker 2: I've seen a little VHS tape of my first birthday. It could have been my brother's first birthday, but it was really just an excuse me.

00:33:23
Speaker 1: The exact point.

00:33:24
Speaker 2: It was like all of my family is in Fort Worth, Texas absurd amount, and it's they're all just jam packed in this house and it's so loud, and everyone's having drinks and stuff, and like whoever the baby was that was turning one is just lost in the moment, like they're just being held. It's not like a celebration for them. It's more so everybody's just hanging out.

00:33:46
Speaker 1: Yeah.

00:33:46
Speaker 2: Yeah, So which is if that's what you want, like, go for it.

00:33:51
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what you is. It's kind of like that's that's how my mind's wrapped around it. Because before rou turned one, and she was talking to me about a birthday party for ru. I'm just like, I mean, birthday party for what. Then it happened. It was fun, and that was Scotty coming up again. It's like I I think about it a little bit, but I'm like, oh, this is just such a reason for Hey, come out to Nashville, Hey come over the house. Yeah, you just get to hang out with some friends, some family and friends.

00:34:16
Speaker 5: The baby book, I think would be like a glaring miss if there wasn't a one year old birthday. And there's how my mom always viewed it, like it's for the parents. But like when she gave me a book of like all my birthdays, Like if she would have started at birthday three, I probably would.

00:34:27
Speaker 1: Have had some questions.

00:34:29
Speaker 5: So that's kind of where my head's about it, Like do it for yourself, but the whole story.

00:34:33
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, outside looking in, I think it's great to do and it's a big celebration.

00:34:38
Speaker 1: Maybe a little bit on the parent's side too, But I think I've just told.

00:34:43
Speaker 3: What I was more reverencing is some people do like really extravagant one year old birthdays, and that's where I was always like, that's where you go, Yeah, like let's just have a gathering and yeah, that's you gotta draw a line.

00:34:52
Speaker 1: No reason to get a bunch like why have we written out of place for those one year old celebration exactly, And that's a good call too, on more of a it can be more of a celebration for the parents. Yeah you've survived a year. Yeah, you survived a year. You can ask it alive for a year.

00:35:08
Speaker 2: I like that scope of like, yeah, hey, well done, mom and dad, Well done, well done, mom and dad. This is to you, guys, because I will look up when she is one years old and I will feel a bit of that of because those first two weeks, if we just look over to wife and you just give her a dap, like, hey, we did that, We did that. I had that thought this morning as Scarlet was Jill did her ceremonial. Bring Scarlet and put her in between us in bed, and you both just kind of lay on our sides and.

00:35:43
Speaker 1: Oh, it's the best that you lay on your side and you just kiss the shit out of them, bro, And.

00:35:48
Speaker 2: They're so happy in the morning, they're so so you.

00:35:51
Speaker 1: Kiss them so much you want them to start pulling their head away. Yeah, go all of you.

00:35:57
Speaker 2: And this is probably bad radio, but it's the little ones too. I hit it like a machine gun with the I get like five hundred in there. Dude, didn't stand a chance. Yeah, what what else this weekend for you? Did you have a crack a cold one from this weekend?

00:36:17
Speaker 1: Man? So I get my crack a cold one. So we finished off the weekend on Sunday morning. Sunday morning, got up, put it around the old house in the morning. We had a rough night on Saturday night. Scotty's going through this, uh, not like sleep regression, but she's waking up a few times in the night and kind of crying and uh, she won't like put herself back to sleep. She's always been good at putting herself back to sleep. But I guess what we're learning is when they're going through something big developmental, it can cause some like uh, you know where they're waking up in the middle of the night or call some things like while they're sleeping. And Scotty's been you know her her walking. She's every where, bro, I'm talking everywhere. She's one of those ones where do what. She's a menace. She really is a menace. She just walks everywhere, Like I'm I don't feel like I was this way with Rue, But with Scotty, I'm like, I'm like the parent that's like standing up and kind of like walking with her because all she wants to do is walk. Like last night, for example, Rue was on her easel doing some drawings, like doing some more coloring, and Scotty kept going over because she wanted to be like big sissy. She wants to pick up the markers and pretend like she's drawing. Rue doesn't want her to like kind of nudges around having a teacher. Hey sweetheart, Like we're not pushing like Scotty. She just wants to be like you. She wants to be She wants to hang out with you. She wants to be like you. Look at her. She wants to be like big sissy. And we're just kind of sitting there. I can tell she do I wont her. So I pick up Scotty and bring her over. And so this easel, this easel, you've been in my house? Have you guys been in my house? So this easel's back in like the kitchen or back in the dining room area. Okay, I'm picking Scotty up from the dining room area and bring it all the way over to the living room. She gets up, she walks over to Rue, and I'm trying to distract her. I'm trying to play flash cards with her. I'm trying to play like, hey, let's dick in this box and try to pull out the balls. Just put the balls in the hole. She might do it for a couple of things. But she gets up and she just starts like she's like walking, She's like doing her little walk. She's like ah, and she's like going over to Rue and Roue from afart. You're like, Scotty, no, no, Scotty. I'm behind Scotty laughing. But Scotty walks over again, and Scotty walks over. No matter how many times to tell her no, no, Tom, I how many times I pull her back to looking and try to work with her, it probably happened eighteen times. I'm not exaggerating. And to where I just look at room. I'm like, Rue, I'm telling you, can I please just bring your easel. I'll just move it into mom and Dad's room. Yeah, and you can. You can. You can have some privacy. You can draw by yourself. Scotty won't bother you. I can shut the door. After about the eighteen time it finally happened. But Scotty is just up in mobile everywhere. She just wants to walk. Yeah, she just wants to walk. You just gotta she But she's vibing.

00:39:03
Speaker 2: So my go ahead say were she looks like Charo but is all willye see?

00:39:08
Speaker 1: And really looks like you. But it's all mom, You're spot on. You are spot on with that. And so I would say, like a Sunday morning comes around, and since we had kind of the rough night on Saturday, probably slept to like eight thirty. That's badass. Yeah, I got to sleep in, but Charro woke up and Charli was operating with Rue. We did a sleepover on one of the nights. It all kind of jels together. We did a sleepover on one of the nights. All this stuff. Anyway, Saturday Sunday morning, I'm up punning around. I'm about to make breakfast because at the farmer's market, I got some steaks. I want to do steak eggs. We got some sweet peppers. I was gonna cut up some sweeteppers, kind of put it with the steak and eggs. And she's like, we got to be out of the house by ten, and I'm like, be out of the house by ten. We're talking about we were going on a hike with my dad, and I'm thinking of myself. I thought you were going on a hike with your dad, Like you were talking about what am I gonna do for my next birthday? And maybe we're going to hike with them or something like that. I'm thinking I'm out of that equation. I'm like, yeah, that'd be you, that'd be awesome. Glad you're think about your dad. Glad you want to do something with your dad. Dad seems fun. And once she's like, we're going to uh, we're gonna go on a hike with my dad and we got to be there at ten thirty. So I'm thinking, all right, it's a thirty minute drive. We gotta be out of the house at ten and we're going on a hike. Like nothing. Nothing chaps my ass more than spontaneous plans that I don't feel like i'm privy to. And when I'm thinking, due, we're gonna have a nice like lazy Sunday. We're gonna be hanging out and now I got to get out of the house and go on a hike. So my attitude before we got to the hike, it's not like I had a bat or I had a projecting attitude. I was more of just quiet, like a couple of times, charl like we walked in front of each other, like when we're passing a goat, like in a room or something like that. She looks at me next smiles or try to give me a kiss, like I'm not smiling. I just kind of give her the cheek if anything, because I want her to know, like, you know, that's bullshit. Yeah yeah, like you know you should have told me, like this should be in my head, like this is too This came out of left field, old Willie See, and it's a hike.

00:41:17
Speaker 2: There's a lot entailed in a hike. Getting the kids ready for a hike. Yeah, it's cold outside.

00:41:24
Speaker 1: It was very cold. The Willie one shoff mentality was coming in my brain. What what is it? I know this might like diverge from the story. I want to hear the rest of the story. The story was my loss is my attitude that all I feel I feel like those those will always be kind of my losses. Yeah, my crack a Cold one was the hike because I had an incredible time and I had to write a caption about you know, we had some fun photos and it was great memories. I'm smiling looking at it, and I'm like, God, I'm mad that I enjoyed that hike so much because it was my wife like getting us out of the house. So my Cracker Cold one to my wife is still my wife and getting us out of the house and going on a family hike.

00:42:08
Speaker 2: I think my cracker Cold one is the exact same mentality.

00:42:13
Speaker 1: Here's your Liquid IV by the way, willye see?

00:42:15
Speaker 2: Oh, because crack a Cold one, I'd tossed it as soon as you looked away.

00:42:19
Speaker 1: I'm so sorry you're going.

00:42:22
Speaker 2: My crack a Cold one, brought to us by Liquid IV guys, is more hydrating than just sixteen ounces of water alone. You get a packet of Liquid IV you pour into your water bottle. You can also use code Bustin' at liquidiv dot com for twenty percent off your first purchase. We are using this stuff around the shop so much that we honestly need to reach back out the Liquid IV and be like, hey, can we we really do use.

00:42:53
Speaker 1: Up a lot of Liquid IV and the cotton candy is by far my favorite.

00:42:58
Speaker 2: There are sponsors where like you can't use their product on the day to day. This is one where I not only myself or will, but I see everybody in the office every single day somebody's using a Liquid IV.

00:43:12
Speaker 1: Yeah, tastes good, feel good three times the electrolytes, it's great.

00:43:16
Speaker 2: But that's my Cracker Cold one. My Cracker Cold one goes through the exact same thing.

00:43:20
Speaker 1: I know.

00:43:20
Speaker 2: We already talked about the Stars game, and we talked about this in the intro as well, but like, I don't know.

00:43:27
Speaker 1: What that feeling is that like pissed.

00:43:30
Speaker 2: Off to the spontaneity of like the moment like when Taro kind of breaks the news that you're going to be going on a hike that morning and you're pissed, or like me going into the Stars game, like not wanting to go to the Stars game when I woke up that morning, like not being excited for it even though it was in my plans.

00:43:55
Speaker 1: Yeah, And like you're trying to say, you're trying to figure out like to the core of what that is. Wait, is that now working through it?

00:44:02
Speaker 2: That is my crack of cold one like going to the Stars game and then you're leaving the Stars game. You're walking out and you're like, I had so much fun. My kid had so much fun. Coop and his girlfriend had so much fun. You're talking about how much you love the high you hated, how much you loved the hike, cause you're like that was awesome.

00:44:21
Speaker 1: I'm walking out there and it was it was a frigid, but it's like I'm walking out there and as I'm walking and trying to Like, Lola had this challenge for Rue, like, hey, she had a bag because she thought it could be like Rue hike and we had to go up a mountain. Roo wants to be carried a lot, but just to keep her engage and keep her going, she brought a bag. And this is a here we go. This is a dad hack. Yeah, yeah, survival kid, dad hack, whatever you want to call it. But she brought a bag along and said, hey, we're gonna find as many colorful leaves as we can and then we give home. We'll do arts and crafts and kind of put it together like on a on a what's the paper called construction for construction paper, put some glued to some construction paper, like just have like an activity or have a chat as you do to keep her engage. So as I'm walking and finding leaves with her because I got bought in, we're skipping rocks in the water, We're throwing rocks at the waterfall, We're looking at leaves like as I'm doing it, and I'm like, I'm having a quality time. Yeah. Do you think it's that feeling of like it was a Sunday, right, Yeah, it was a Sunday.

00:45:18
Speaker 3: So you're thinking before as you're going to bed Saturday night. Naturally, although we know the hike will be fun and stuff, you're thinking, man, it's gonna be football is gonna be on Sunday. Maybe you know a little bit of R and R, and then it's the hike and you're like, okay, you know what the hike in tails with kids. And then that initial thought, because I think every man has this on a Sunday or Saturday, you're like when you get pulled out of the house or maybe even you know for all our people out there when worked all week, you're like, man, that's that's my time. Maybe you're having this idea of it and then it's a sudden change to That's.

00:45:56
Speaker 1: That's exactly what it is.

00:45:58
Speaker 3: It's not the activity itself, because that's not like you know, clearly, it all sounded like a hell of a time, But it's that that change of like you had this expectation for the day and then now you're having to pivot.

00:46:09
Speaker 1: I feel like that's the heart.

00:46:11
Speaker 3: That's that in what Sherm you're talking about, that initial like you were kind of like that initial thoughts, like, ah, because it'd be so easy to sit on the couch and watch football.

00:46:21
Speaker 1: Yeah, it'd be so easy too to just watch Scott Scarlet at the house. Because Sherm knew they had the hockey game plan. We had it planned. I didn't hear, like I didn't know, like I heard Cheryl talking about potentially going on a hike, but I didn't know it was happening on Sunday, like Sunday morning, like when I woke up, and so yes, it kind of caught. It's like you go through the entire week. We were talking about my state of mind when you came in here, was that Thursday or Friday when I was sitting on the lane online. Oh yeah, that might even been Wednesday where I was feeling exhausted. It was before you went to ESPN. Yeah, but you go through you know, you go through this entire week. I mean you think of bust and like, what was yesterday nine thirty in the morning to three thirty in the afternoon. Then we have four the deads this morning. That's a couple hours. We'll be doing k Adams. That'll be about thirty minutes. We're gonna do the locker Room. That's a couple hours. We're going to do ESPN. That's a couple of hours you're doing. Then you're gonna sit on the stream, Like that's twelve to fifteen hours of being in front of a camera to whe when Then when you get to Friday, it's we have this Gellette November thing, which is an incredible cause and we wanted to do it, and then the day is coming up and it's kind of like, damn, why are we Why do we commit to this because that's a Friday now where it's usually pizza Friday, and you're just relaxing because you got through the entire week. Yeah, so now I'm getting out of the house and going to do this Gillette thing that I was like I'm excited to do because of the cause, but I'm not excited to do like personally and selfishly. Then Saturday, it's like Joe's like, what do we want to do today? And it's like, yo, let's we decide we're gonna hit coffee, We're gonna hit the farmer's market, like we're gonna have a day. Then we do it date night where we get dinner, we get a movie. Come back, You're just kind of exhausted, and then you're Scotty's having a tough time that night. Then when Sunday comes and she hits me with you know, we're going on hike comps, just thinking, come on, bro, can't we just sit around and be lazy? But again, happy we did it. That's also my crack.

00:48:14
Speaker 2: A cold one's life is starting to feel like this revolving door somewhat to me, you know, and not in a bad way at all, but like I need to embrace just to grind.

00:48:30
Speaker 1: Yeah, I need to start to embrace it more.

00:48:33
Speaker 2: I know, we like jokingly say good on this podcast, which I can say that to like stepping in dog poop and stuff like that's funny, you know, but like truly those moments of like why the hell am I sitting there on a Saturday that morning, being like there's literally nothing that I want to do less than go to the Stars game, Like why do I feel like that? That just kind of bumps me out. I'm trying to like challenge myself to be like I.

00:48:59
Speaker 1: Gotta roll with the punches. Yeah, yeah, I gotta roll with the punch. I gotta go live life.

00:49:04
Speaker 5: Something that I know I've said to you and I probably said on the show, and it's something I have to like say in my head so many times, but like and it is, it's such like a mental thing more but you have you don't have to you get to like, yeah, I'm always like, oh dude, I have to do all this stuff. When I get home, it's like no, no, no, Like I live in a house that I really love with a woman that I really love, and I get to do all these things and I have to say it so many times.

00:49:26
Speaker 1: That I get out of this like oh we got to we have to.

00:49:28
Speaker 5: Go on this hike. It sucks, but yeah we get to go on this hike. And like how cool is it that she's that close to her grandparents? Ruined Scott.

00:49:35
Speaker 1: That shift of mentality is huge. So that's yes, and nail on the head.

00:49:44
Speaker 2: That's where I need to be. That's truly where I need to be. I'm being dead serious, dude, because.

00:49:50
Speaker 1: This family right here, this community, this family vibes right now.

00:49:55
Speaker 2: Because I have been thinking that way a lot, dude, and like going into like going into the Monday this week, there is no reason why I should have been worried going into this Monday. But I'm just racking my brain and racking my brain of like, oh, what could go wrong? And what did I not do enough of and what could not be prepared?

00:50:15
Speaker 1: Constantly feel like you're behind the eight ball and I'm not.

00:50:19
Speaker 2: It's okay, Like I'm going to show up on Monday and like everything's gonna be fine. And what what happened on Monday? I mean, do we hit any snags? Not to my knowledge, I.

00:50:30
Speaker 1: Mean I can't remember. Again, it's it, it all goes so he had almost so it's all so fleeting fast.

00:50:35
Speaker 2: And even if we did hit snags, he literally doesn't remember. Like my boss's I'm sitting there like taking tabs.

00:50:42
Speaker 1: On Sherman of yeah, yeah, I think what day I'm thinking of my aid. How can we get the spots where we're not we don't have like three or four interviews and the intros do everything. Yeah, because I mean yesterday we were on the bus for six hours.

00:51:00
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a long day.

00:51:03
Speaker 3: More months of football and then it all well, I mean really two more hard months college football ends back in the NFL. But I can tell, like when you guys started her like wait till football season. It's a grind and I'm we're kind of outside looking in because I try yesterday, I try to help. I'm gonna try to help more with busting now with the way our schedule is. But it's like we do for the dad's content. And honestly, this is kind of like because football takes present it here and this is a football facility, I get to see how hard it is for Will and Taylor, like for anyone, Like I think anyone here would be like we're so blessed all around that this is what we get to do for work. Yeah, but Will and Taylor like it's hard for and I'm not trying to glacier, but it's it's a hard job to just be on. And you can tell, like you got to be you know, it's not you just don't show up and go through the motions, whereas I think some people for work, you know, you can have a down day.

00:51:56
Speaker 1: There's certain days where you gotta be good to go. Like they're like you can get away with whatever attitude you were kind of wanting to selfishly have, but still grind out what your work is. That is true, dude.

00:52:05
Speaker 2: When I was working at that call center, it wasn't a call center, but when I had that cubicle job where I was just basically answering phone calls, if I was having the week from hell, nobody would know about it because I'm in my cubicle and I can just kind of like chill, relax.

00:52:21
Speaker 1: You know.

00:52:22
Speaker 2: Maybe I don't take sixty calls that day like I usually do.

00:52:26
Speaker 1: Maybe I just take twenty.

00:52:27
Speaker 2: I'm just kind of kicking it that week, and I'm not going to hear about it from my manager, not that we would ever, like hey, d da du that's not how it feels around here.

00:52:37
Speaker 1: But with the cameras on, you like, do kind of have to be on?

00:52:40
Speaker 3: Yeah, even production like today's day where I can't because this is going out tomorrow, Like I can't have a bad day. Yeah there, you know, like we're all around like Mitch runs the pod, can't have a bad Monday or something.

00:52:51
Speaker 1: There.

00:52:51
Speaker 3: It's like even if you are just who cares you gotta be ready to go. Yeah, so good dad talk right here, good dad talk. We just boways be boys, just leaning on each other. We get Hey, it's a little exhausting right now. We get to we get to we get to do it.

00:53:09
Speaker 1: We get too. Shout out there.

00:53:15
Speaker 2: That was really nice, very nice. What you just heard there was the opening of the Ollipop SpongeBob collaboration. Guys, this is the Pineapple Paradise, brought to you by Alli popa Team six, also known as Ollipop. This flavor specifically I'm a huge fan of. However, grape is Will's favorite flavor. That does not take away from how good this flavor is. The SpongeBob collaboration is really really good. If you like something fruity that feels clean when you're drinking, it feels light, but it's also like a sweet treat. I feel like that describes almost every single Lollipop flavor. But the one that I like, or the part that I like most about this one is that it does feel very light and crisp and just like guilt Free, I don't know, I digress. Ollipop has a collaboration with SpongeBob. The Pineapple Paradise is a juicy pineapple with a splash of Mandarin pure liquid joy, just like SpongeBob himself. They have five limited edition SpongeBob can designs hidden in each four pack. Each pack is a little treasure hunt and you never know which one you're gonna get. Collect them all and unlock sweet rewards at drink lollipop dot com Forward slash SpongeBob. We talked about before the love for Lollipop Will Compton and he is wanting to play video games with his boys.

00:55:04
Speaker 1: There's one thing that.

00:55:04
Speaker 2: He always does. He does his gas station run. He does his store run for snacks and drinks, and every single time he's getting Lollipop Grape Classic Grape. I love the Lollipop Vintage Cola. You also have heard that my wife loves the banana cream.

00:55:27
Speaker 1: With some creamer in there. I'll leave the.

00:55:30
Speaker 2: Name of the creamer company out, but she throws a little creamer into the banana cream, flavor mixes it up, gets it real nice and cold. With some ice in there, and that thing truly is like a milkshake. Do not heavy whipping cream in your banana cream lollipops. Guys, get two dollars off a four pack of lollipop at drinkollipop dot com.

00:55:55
Speaker 1: Forward slash Bustin.

00:55:58
Speaker 2: Works on any flavor of four, including the SpongeBob pack, and you can get that any retailer as well. Lollipop is sold online drinkollipop dot com. Plus it's on Amazon and available in almost fifty thousand retailers nationwide, including Costco, Walmart, Target, Publics, Whole Foods, Kroger, and HGB. Guys, go drink some lollipop. It really is. It's becoming the ship. Well, it's becoming the shop's favorite. It is the shop's favorite at this point.

00:56:32
Speaker 1: Ollipop.

00:56:33
Speaker 2: Also, if you're listening, to please send us some more lollipop, because we are desperately trying to keep these cans around for these ad reads to have on camera because everybody at the shop is control all deleting these lollipops. And hey, something I'm curious, well, please I want to hear from Okay, good.

00:56:53
Speaker 1: Something I'm curious about. Yes, because Scarlett is I keep almost calling her Scottie Scarlett is four months. Four months, So Jilly Bean's back at work. She's back at work, dude, how is how is Jillie being doing? How's mom getting back to work? I know, like Charos, she was like itching to get back to work because again during postpartum, and you know, for men, I don't know how everybody's paternity to leave is. Obviously yours is different than the majority of America is when you have small business. And I know when we had Scotty was in the middle of football season. When we had Rube, that was in April, so it was a little bit more of a lax time. But I was pretty much right back in the saddle with work, and it's very much you kind of feel like a guilt doing that. Yeah, the dad, because mom's got to be lockstep with the baby, with the newborn for you know, at least what is it eight weeks, twelve weeks, yeah, or maternity to leave. I don't know who everybody has something different, yeah, yeah, but I know it's always like draining because women like feel like they lose who they are. Like one of Charles's biggest fears was like losing her identity or not like losing her identity, but her identity being fully wrapped into motherhood. Anytime anybody would talk to her, she's almost like she didn't resent it or she didn't like push away from it, but like something internal like hated that. Now it's just everything motherhood. It's not like check on how's everything going, how's work, or how's this. They feel like they lose part of themselves. So I know when they get their body moving again, they can work out again, they can go back to work. It's almost like life gets to be like breathed back into them a little bit. Yes, that's exactly.

00:58:30
Speaker 2: Charro's journey sounds very much like Jill's. To the tea al mess of just Jill was itching to get back. Here's a little bit of anxiety that comes with it, I'm for.

00:58:40
Speaker 1: Sure because now it's like your first time away from the kid too. That was hard for Jill.

00:58:46
Speaker 2: That was really hard for Jill that first day of uh not being with Scarlet. A lot of face timing during her lunch breaks. Yeah, a lot of face time, which I've loved, the.

00:58:58
Speaker 1: Amount of photos that would have to come of the phone. The expectation for like dude, I want photos. My wife would be like, I want photos all day because the for like when you're away from the kid, it's like you're excited to go back, and then you're like, I kind of feel bad that I'm going back because I don't want to leave the kiddo.

00:59:14
Speaker 2: Yes, I did so many photos going back and forth. Uh to Jill, and I would say the only negative is she's in pediatric nursing and so the kid said, she's singing on her floor. It's hitting a bit harder emotionally for her because now she has scarlet and just like imagine it, because she sees some car rag you know, bad situation, bad situations, and she's now like attributing that to oh my gosh, what if that was scarlet? And so that kind of stuff's been hitting her really hard lately. I would say that's her main struggle is just like if anything happened to my sweet girl scarlet, like, oh my gosh. But she's loving being back. She has a very supportive team. Shout out to all the nurses on her floor. I've gotten to meet a lot of them, and they just have a really tight unit.

01:00:11
Speaker 1: They have a fun unit. Jill's been on some other floors.

01:00:15
Speaker 2: Where like everything doesn't click and said, this is other hospitals, but she's met on other floors where they don't mesh. I'm talking about all the girls don't mash on this floor, like they are all buddy buddy and they just are how can they help Jill? They want to hear about the kid. You know, it's cool, like she's really enjoying being back, but she's missing Scarlet. But I think her going back to has presented an opportunity for me to excel as a dad with the daycare drop offs and pickups. She is very like she did say, not that she was proud of me, but she was like, you've been you know, super dad lately with the drop offs and the pickups, which it's not all that hard, but it has been fun to like be able to show her like, hey, you can go work and I can make sure that Scarlett is getting to the daycare, that she's getting picked.

01:01:17
Speaker 1: Up on time.

01:01:18
Speaker 2: And so it's been a really good it's been a really good experience.

01:01:23
Speaker 1: Yeah, there's always there's always like blind spots that as as dads, we don't quite pick up on until it's like, hey, you've been super dead or hey, I could really use some help X, Y and Z, And you're not like realizing that there is help to be given. Yes, I do. I like with a with a Charro, you realize that the mom just takes on pretty much everything. Now, I'm not saying that dads don't do their best, aren't intentional, Like I feel like I'm intentional. I feel like I'm I'm I'm doing my best to figure out work I can help, how we can be a good team. We have a very good like partnership. But you just realize, like when they're working and they're on like a tough work schedule, like I can assume with Jill and being a nurse Charlie with being a business owner, it's just like their mind is constantly thinking about everything at all times, Like I'm that way with busting. It's like I feel like I'm just I feel like I'm just busting with the boys and dad. Whereas we got to carve out those times where I could be husband, where I could be boyfriend, where we do date nights or staycations, and we both got to be intentional. And Charo feels like she's business owner. Bar three in mom but with us the whole dad and mom thing, like if there were to be a scoreboard, there is no scoreboard. But when you do score gentlemen, you do have to let them know the details that they have to think about surrounding the kids at all times, compared to what I feel like we think about as Dad's like, we think about a lot of stuff, but as far as like the details in having the list of everything if if a new person comes over our babysitter, or they're gonna need this food or that bottle, or has the grocery store or what are we gonna have? What are we doing for dinner at all times? Like at all times every meal, everything down to a tee? Are we getting childcare for this? Okay, that's awesome if we want to go on a date, but you know, when we go on a date, will I'm the one who has to do the childcare? And then I'm thinking like an aha thing like okay, I got to figure out how I get the numbers of these people. So that way, it's like even though I'm saying, hey, I want to spend time with you, and you know, let's go date night Saturday, set up a date night it's like, all right, I'm having to do to put together the entire date night with coordinating childcare, coordinating these people, schedules of nanny, schedule of everybody. Yeah, and so it's like you just you learn over time as I have learned over time as husband as dad. When I am like, okay, well let's go do this. Yeah, you realize I have to be the one that puts this together. She's like, it doesn't just happen. I'm like, all right, all right, how can I you know? And then it's like, well, it'd be great if you just we're knowing it. I'm like, okay, yeah, you are right, Like, let me at least give me step one here, shoot me the numbers too, where I can talk to the people. But all to say, it's like, yeah, what women have to deal with, what women go through stress level wise? Yeah, I had all times with work, with career and being a mom. Hats all have hats off. We love Milk Team six. We love Milk Team six.

01:04:25
Speaker 2: And I had a moment of weakness over the weekend where I was just like I was feeling all the stress of everything and I.

01:04:35
Speaker 1: Was letting Jill.

01:04:35
Speaker 2: Now, I was like, you know, I feel like I do all these things right, and then I get like nitpicked for the little things and body and it's like you're telling her that yes, And I was like, get the bottle cap and make sure you have the extra towel thing, and you got to put the water in first before the bottle, before you put the formula, and you have to make sure that the cap and all this stuff is in there. I'm like listening all those things that like I get nippicked on to Jill. And she was like, and but what about now you know how to do it. She was like, that's why I'm hard on you, because you can do it now. I'm teaching you, like I'm not just trying to like I'm not just trying to nippick you to nitpick you, like I'm telling you the things that you need to know in order to be a good dad. And I kind of like she did a full like reversal on men.

01:05:27
Speaker 1: She sabing you.

01:05:28
Speaker 2: She did, and I was sitting there, I was like, I was like, damn, yeah, she really has been like I am good at this because of Jill in her coaching and all those little things. I'm thinking, I'm so stressed trying to remember all these things.

01:05:44
Speaker 1: You know, does she to your point? And it's fast her all day, every day, And it's fascinating just how on top of it they are where there was no playbook for them before it happened. Yeah, but right, they like, you know, they weirdly like teach you and challenge you at the same time. Yeah, shout out the moms.

01:06:04
Speaker 2: Shut up the moms, dude, char I love you, Jill, Love you, Jill. I love you, charl I love you, dude.

01:06:11
Speaker 1: Shout out teamwork and parenting too. We will get to the phone call shout out to teamwork and parenting. I wanted to. That's another crack of cole when it's just good teamwork in parenting, whether you're setting each other up for success, like say you're all nighttime duty and then you're kind of setting up the feed or the next feed for your partner or just in the mornings. I know in our household, it's like charl will get like rude dressing ready, Like that's that to me. It's like I get two out of my depths of what exactly Ruth's gonna want to wear, because rue can be particular and I can give her options and everything else. But then when I get her dressed, she always wants like a certain hairstyle. And that's like I can do a ponytail. And if I can't do a ponytail, we're gonna get you a headband. Yeah, because my bag's not that deep. I can't do the braids. Like this morning, she comes down and she's got a ponytail, but in like not in the ponytail. The ponytail was just normal, normal look at ponytail. But before the ponytail, she had two braids going to the ponytail. I'm like, I can't do that, bro. So the way we operate for our teamwork success is I'll be getting the lunch ready, I'll be making breakfast. I'll be getting wifey's breakfast, going setting up you know, if we're gonna Scotty's gonna eventually eat, like getting her rolling. So just shout out to teamwork and just picking up slack for each other, picking up slack for your partner. There are times where I feel like Charo does something big time for me where I just feel like a stress is off, Like she'll know when we go out and fly to ESPN on Wednesday she like, hey, do you want to go? We want to go out to eat, and part of me is like, bro, I don't want to because then I miss We'll get home and I don't actually get to do bedtime, and I know that's going to eventually, Hey, I've done all these bedtimes and then that kind of falls back on me. So if I'm trying to strategize and play chess here, I would rather do bedtime so that way I don't have that guilt weighing on me at some point when you got to do two or three bedtimes in a row. But then when she has like the Cooper Coock mentality of ahead of time, how I've kind of expressed that and it's like, dude, I'll rip the I'll rip the bedtimes. Like here's the conversation I've had with myself about it to where it's made me feel alleviated stress. So shout out partners like picking up slack for each other. Shout out teamwork and parenting.

01:08:16
Speaker 2: Shout out teamwork and parenting. There there is no better feeling than falling short or feeling like you're going to fall short and somebody swooping in and being like, hey, even if you do fall short, I'll pick up the slack for you.

01:08:31
Speaker 1: We're a team like that.

01:08:32
Speaker 2: There's no better message, there's no better message. Or hey, it looks like you have a lot of stuff on your plate. What's one thing I can take off? What's one thing I can do the feeling of waking up and taking Scarlet to daycare? And there's all these little minute things that I have to do to get Scarlet ready for daycare. And every single morning when I come in, I see her little outfits already laid out, and I see that the bottles are already made and they're in the refrigerator in her.

01:08:59
Speaker 1: Little set up her success.

01:09:01
Speaker 2: And her backpack is hanging right there by the door with the extra blanky, the extra outfit.

01:09:06
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, Jill, I love you. Thank you for doing that.

01:09:11
Speaker 2: Because she does that on nights where she's about to go into work the next day. You know, she could be like, Hey, I want to go to bed and I'm sleepy, I'm tired, and yeah, she's doing that extra step on those nights of how can I said sherman up for success?

01:09:25
Speaker 1: And overall we don't realize it, but we're also modeling this teamwork in front of the kids. Yeah, you're also modeling this teamwork in front of Scarlet, front of Scottie and Rue. They see mom and dad working together. Well, give our being affectionate in front of them. Where we got the family, you know, Charling, I'll sit there and do our like eight second hug and I'll give her a kiss and a Roo runs over and she's like, Oh, it's it's group hug time. It's group hug. But just like modeling, all this teamwork is like a very good thing for the little ones. Yeah, let's get into some six and one. The Dad's the hotline hot line do you want to be featured on the show? Calling to the voicemail six and one The Dad's leave a voicemail can be about anything, will feature you on the show. We also have a couple of emails we will go through and if you are international or you just feel like you'd be more comfortable writing to us and using your voice, that would be six to one. The Dad's at gmail dot com.

01:10:14
Speaker 2: First call in this one is titled Ali Papa Team Sick, Oh Ali popa.

01:10:22
Speaker 1: Shout out, Ollipop boys, What up? It's Adam from Florida here. Holy shit? I not. I'm just I should you not.

01:10:32
Speaker 4: I tried the ollipop grape, uh, just to try it because you guys talked about it.

01:10:37
Speaker 1: It's fucking good. Yeah, I'm not even kidding you. I got the little boy here right now.

01:10:43
Speaker 4: He doesn't know words yet, so guys, I gotta watch the swearing.

01:10:46
Speaker 1: But holy fuck, this is good. Mom's on a little late duty nursing out there.

01:10:51
Speaker 4: We're hanging out little olli pop classic grape. Holy shit, rely one shelf.

01:10:57
Speaker 1: You're not fucking around.

01:10:58

01:11:10
Speaker 1: I don't know what to say.

01:11:11
Speaker 4: This ollipop great life changing. Hell yeah, boys, PT six out, keep it rolling.

01:11:16
Speaker 1: That was an awful sign out. That's all time. Hang the banner a banner.

01:11:25
Speaker 2: I want Adam in the shop immediately, immediately.

01:11:30
Speaker 1: Papa Team six oh in ollipop.

01:11:33
Speaker 2: That's hey, we get the dad ollipop going. That's that's it right there. That is the well what do we what do we want to call it?

01:11:44
Speaker 1: Do we want to call it Papa Drink six.

01:11:49
Speaker 5: I think the only teams she said is Papa and then Ollipopa team six, So we've done both of them.

01:11:53
Speaker 1: I'm cool with Alli Papa team six. That's a great one. God, we gotta make it happen. That right there. His name Adam, Adam, thank you for bringing the vibes. Well, we just did an entire pot number one. Happy birthday again to scott Zilla. But we just did a nice vent session with the boys kind of bitching and complaining a little bit with each other, which just you kind of need that in camaraderie community because no matter what, we're gonna embrace the suck, but sometimes it's good to just talk about the suck. Yeah, with each other. Then we're sitting here, we just we spinning around. Sweetheart, drop them, let us tell you how how much we love you. We're just hyping up all the moms. We go into this weird phase of complaining, shout out the moms and then just to get a vibe, a vibe check like Adam, that was deal. Hey, by the way, it didn't click in my head to where the mom's saying drop them. I was thinking of the shirm part where I'm like, let me give you a compliment. But then it's like, okay, that's a different, different visual. I'm so sorry, what a different visual of what? Nothing? Okay, this is this is me and my own mook. You were thinking out loud. Yeah, yeah, I'm thinking I'm doing the joke mom, like, Mom, drop them, like you know, sure them earlier on the compliment, drop them, let me give you a compliment. Oh god. Then I say that, yeah, mom, dropping them. When I said that, I kind of was like studying a little bit more like, oh, that's a different yeah, don't drop your packs. Good, Oh my gosh. Then you guys were really responding. I'm like, okay, maybe this is just me fighting my own fight mentally right now. Thank you, Adam, Thank you, Polly, Poppa Team six, thank you Adam. Uh one more or we can move to emails. One more. Let's we can't. Yeah, we got it. We need another one. Here's a guys trip question.

Speaker 6: Fellas a long time listener, first time caller. I I love your guys to show you guys do an awesome job. I really appreciate it. I'm assumed to be expecting father my wife's twenty four weeks pregnant, so I got a little bit more time, but recently calling todays, I really wanted to ask your opinion on this specific issue, which is me and my wife have a great relationship. Married life without kids been great, but I am super excited about being a father. However, I'm thinking about some of those annual trips i'd gone with my boys, you know, the hunting trips, the golf trips, that type of thing, and when is it appropriate to talk about, you know, continuing those traditions with my friends, and how to approach that conversation with my wife. You know. The one specific instance is like every year in May, I do a fishing trip with three of my best buddies from growing up. It's like a four day trip. It's never anything crazy, but we're going to have a two month old baby when that trip comes around. How do I approach that conversation. I can't wait to hear from you guys. Thanks.

01:14:54
Speaker 2: That specific situation that he brought up is way harder than just the conversation of having a boy's trip, because I feel like that is a very fair thing to want. I feel like girls want their girls trips, like completely normal thing to want. To do an annual trip with your boys or empty six ers with their girls. I think don't have any fear going into that conversation. But the one that he just brought up, Yeah, the two months, that's hard.

01:15:31
Speaker 1: That Yeah, that's a slippery, slippery slope, my friend. Yeah. My advice number one would just be, what's the worst that could happen if you bring it up to talk about it? You just you have to be prepared. Your mentality has to be prepared and open to You might miss your first one, but that might that'll be the only one that you miss. Yeah, but you're gonna miss. I could see you missing this first one. It truly depends where wife he's going to be. Let's say, if she's open to it right now, I think though this is gonna be this is gonna be a process. I think step one is if she's open to it this early, I think that's a win to set up the next conversation because if you get her open to it or saying even if she says yes, I want you to slow her down and say, I honestly, this isn't even something I'm wanting to commit to right now. It was more of like wanting to just start the conversation because we don't know where you're going to be eight weeks postpartum, two months into to being mom. So I love you for saying yes now, but I just want to pull you back because we can circle back to this conversation conversation in the future. I think that is where that's a double win if you If you let her say yeah, I'm down for you to do it, and then you hold her to it, there could be you. Truly, I'm telling you it. Postpartum is just a different beast man hormonally, mentally, it's just a different animal. I'm not saying good, bad, and different. I'm just saying it's just a different person that's going on because having this new child.

01:17:06
Speaker 2: I would list everything that made you want to call in and ask us, like how do I go about doing this? You obviously have some worries in your head of and list those things down of like I'm worried, how is she going to be able to do this?

01:17:23
Speaker 1: How how can I set her up for success?

01:17:26
Speaker 2: Maybe he lives twenty minutes from his in laws, the in laws can come over and help, et cetera, et cetera. Start off that conversation with a write it down and sure that you wrote it down of these are things I'm worried about if I did do this trip. It's we're two months into our new child. Or do you feel comfortable with that, like let her know that you are worried about this stuff and that you're not just coming to her going hey, I go fishing with the boys or like what you know what I mean, you got to anchor her emotion first, So you need to start off by just saying, hey, can we have.

01:18:01
Speaker 1: Would you mind if we have a serious conversation. Yeah. She might chuckle, she might laugh, but you keep a straight face. And then you say, I'll be honest, like, I'm terrified to bring this up just because it's it's important, but it's also not important at the same time, and I'm just scared of what your reaction might be. You're now anchoring her in to where what is he about to say right now? And then you just simply let her know you know that I have this. It's honestly, it's you know, I have this annual fishing trip with the boys that lands in May, and I'm not looking for you to say yes, I can do it. I'm just truly my fears in bringing up could it be a conversation when that time starts to come, like once this baby comes and we get into a rhythm and we figure out all the things that might be needed in this situation. But would you be willing to have that conversation or is it just completely shit? I just put her off the table right now. I'm willing to do that. I'm just I'm wanting to know. That's why I'm bringing it up to you. Maybe, sweetheart, you go on that trip every year. Of course, I want you to still go on that trip. And even once she's doing that, you might think you're winning, But the ultimate finish is you got to rain. You gotta rein it back in to where you get her to say, Sweetheart, I'm not wanting you to say yes right now. I'm just all I was truly wanting to do is if it could be a conversation when that time comes. I want us to wait till the baby comes and we get in to think of it for a little bit and we start to get a feel for what this rhythm is going to be like, because there would be a lot of work to be done for me to even consider going on a trip like this and.

01:19:32
Speaker 2: Set you up for success in these ways, and may is okay if your mom's coming in, that's where the list comes in. That's where the list comes in. Yeah, Like I've gained planned a little bit.

01:19:44
Speaker 1: What are you?

01:19:45
Speaker 2: How do you feel about these are some steps that I think we should take in order to make this comfortable and doable. And you may even come across just by having the conversation. I know, with certain types of fishing, there's season the rivers thaw out in Colorado if you're like fly fish or whatever. So maybe it's not something that you can push. But let's say you do have this conversation and Wifey says, hey, at the two month mark, I don't know, but what about it three months because then my mom's going to be in town and can help me.

01:20:18
Speaker 1: Da da da.

01:20:19
Speaker 2: Then pitch that to the boys of like, hey, y'all don't have to say yes this, but Wifey's saying it's a for sure yes if I can do these dates, Like, everybody can kind of come together and find a solve if you communicate. But if you wait till the last second and then go eh.

01:20:36
Speaker 1: Yeah, don't wait, bring it in now, yeah, anchor in the emotion. Yeah. And again, we're not trying to get her to yes right now. If she says yes, that's beautiful, now rain her back in and just say no, this is a no. I don't even think we consider it unless we have these things lined that we don't know. We don't know when this newborn comes. Now. I want to be fully equipped to make you. I want to feel like I'm setting you up for six for setting you up for success, even if we do such a thing. And then what a move by you see if we can create more options within the boys, like does the trip have to be on this weekend in May every year? Can you move it one week back? Can you figure something else out? And my man, this will be the only year you have to do this, that's the only year your guide trips are super important. I will say in the future, you're gonna have to think about family trips that go along. You have a hunting trip, you have a fishing trip. You're gonna have to figure out a family trip in the middle of the year. So that way the family, the wife knows like that's always gonna be priority. She needs to have a girl's trip every year. You're in a good spot, appreciate the question, and you're not asking anything crazy. Yeah, you ain't out of it. It's never over till it's over. Hey, don't and don't skip over that for any and slip that we had.

01:21:47
Speaker 5: Shout out the wording of his question. Two, not hey, guys, should I go on the trip? It's hey, how should I have this discussion? So I just want to say, shout out the wording. His mentality is already correct.

01:21:56
Speaker 2: He's already correct, and I feel like we're in the think tank with him. We are, and keep us updated. Let us know how the conversation set us. An invite says around. I like fishing.

01:22:05
Speaker 1: Oh, twist my arm. All right, we got we got about ten minutes left. Let's dive in. I might have time for an email or two. I got one that has a photo. There's a photo with this one I have written in blue. I do as well. Fellas longtime listener to the bus since the og Vrabel and Quentin Nelson pod in twenty nineteen, and recently got into for the Dads for a nice little change of pace. My wife and I got married in February and have recently fallen on some dog shit hard times story for another day. Parentheses good, but your pot in this community of bros and dads has truly giving me some grounding since I started listening. My wife and I do not have any kids, but I'm writing this as our two year old, sixty pound pup naps on my chest, so I believe this is what happiness feels like as a father. I work in law enforcement across the border in the great state of North Carolina, and last week was involved in a shooting. To make a long story short, we were chasing a double homicide suspect who had just kidnapped a woman from home. During the chase, he shoots at us. Turns out turns out that shit pisses you off more than anything. The boys and I wind up taking care of business. In the middle of all this, I cannot stop thinking of my wife and how we have so much life left to live and how much I need her in my life. As I'm sitting in the hospital uninjured, just a precaution, I throw some headphones in and listen to the most recent episode of Dads. That episode just so happens to be the one where you both are gushing over your wives, truly driving the point home that I love mine with all my being and cannot wait to get past this funk so that we can live the happiest, healthiest life together. I don't know how religious you all are, and sometimes I struggle with it myself, but at the end of the day, there's a reason for how and why everything happens, and this blip on the radar will make us stronger than ever. Thank you both for everything that all you do and for keeping those of us on the straight and narrow when it really feels like life is out to get us. PS. Since that above story is still like an ongoing thing, could you keep this all anonymous? I appreciate it. You all the homies love you. Did he say his name it all? And that Nope? He did not? So show the photos? Yeah, okay, him and a dog dog laying on his chest. Law enforcement got a car right there in the garage. Thank you for your service, dang. And then bullet holes on the windshield. Tight pattern on those bullet holes. Hey, thank you for the email, sincerely. That was that was cool to read. Yeah, that was a very I'm glad you're ok. Yeah, glad you're okay, and thank you for your service to the community. Truly. Yeah you want to rip?

01:24:35
Speaker 2: Yeah, buddy, Budy girl Dad times three, six, two and a one month old. I thought you guys would enjoy this photo of my oldest and I on the Shockwave. Totally different, totally different meaning from the one on the pod, but nonetheless a heck of a ride. I caught the Good Reel about a month ago and went to check out an episode on YouTube, and I'm hooked binge the podcast with Windshield time, family vacation and early morning runs, I'm current and can't wait for those hump day drops, the laughs, the cries, the raw emotion. Just tell me you guys are doing it right. I've definitely cried with y'all too many times to count, but I think that what raising girl slash kids does is allows us to get in touch with our emotions for the better. Hell, I cry watching old and New Disney movies. Nowadays, I even get the old lady listening when we're in the car. She's already said, I better get a Milk team shirt whenever those drop. With the newborn, it's needed more than ever. My dad hack for you guys, especially a girl. Dads to yourselves is to take each daughter on their own days slash dates. They grow into their own personalities and have their own unique likes and dislikes, have fun and make them feel as special as you can because they will grow up before your eyes. As Will said, you want to set the standard of what it looks like to love. No chasing it. It's something that's there no matter what. They'll keep surprising you each and every day. Remember the days are long and the years are short. Pt Siko out. That comes from Thomas Anderson, who's a dfdub guy because he's on the Shockwave. Baby, look at that. Look at those two loops. Oh I love that good photo. Look good those two loops on this Shockwave and shot.

01:26:31
Speaker 1: Out his daughter too. Hey you want to get your hands up, bro.

01:26:34
Speaker 2: Shockwave is the best. Just a very side note, Shockwave is the best intro coaster of all time because it's just two loops. It's a fast coaster and those loops are nice and easy.

01:26:48
Speaker 3: It is.

01:26:49
Speaker 2: It's a bright and sunny like fun themed roller coaster, so it doesn't scare him.

01:26:54
Speaker 1: But those two loops, they're kind of imposing.

01:26:56
Speaker 2: You're staring at it and you're like, oh, I don't know if I could do it, and saying do it, They're like, oh man, I want to go again.

01:27:04
Speaker 1: Those loopsos, those do loops are imposing. Dude, shout out two good lessons in there. Yeah with those emails.

01:27:13
Speaker 2: I do have a lesson of the week to close this out. We got five minutes, Yeah, close it out.

01:27:18
Speaker 1: And also just want to let people know we are operating. We will get a Milk Team six shirt going very soon. If you're looking at Sherman and I right now, we're ripping our our for the dad's merch for Christmas, for holiday season coming up. Bwtv dot com is where you can get all of our merch. That is how you solidify yourself as a PT sicko. But yeah, go ahead, knockout, knock out the lesson for us, this one comes with enjoying the moment. Being in the moment.

01:27:45
Speaker 2: A dad who learns to let go of stress also gives himself the gift of clarity. When he stops trying to control every outcome, he begins to see the small, beautiful moments that make fatherhood meaningful, the way his child's eyes light up with curiosity, or how a quiet evening turns into a memory. In those moments, he realizes that the presence, not the perfection, is what his family needs the most.

01:28:11
Speaker 1: And I have an anonymous quote.

01:28:12
Speaker 2: Here that the greatest thing a father can do for his children is to be fully there, because time given with peace is worth more than anything bought with worry.

01:28:24
Speaker 1: That's damn good. That's damn good. I couldn't help but think like controlling every moment and enjoying the little parts. That was the hike on Sunday. We get to, we get to, we get to, we get to, well said Sharan. Hey, thank you, thank you all right, make sure you take out of your trasks. We love you so much. Continue to engage, continue to leave comments. We're on social media at for the Dead's Pod, Spread the good word, get more pt sicicos on board, Milk Team sixers, Seeman Team sixers, be proud, which are the goon Berets Berets and we will see you next week.
