<v Speaker 1>This is WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre and you're listening to <v Speaker 1>the WWE podcast. <v Speaker 2>The show, the one that everybody wants me God tell. <v Speaker 3>You stand for sixteen said just what your ass is mind, <v Speaker 3>you can acknowledge me. <v Speaker 2>Happy Fourth of July, everybody. I hope you all doing well. <v Speaker 2>I hope you had a great day, safe, fun day, family, friends, <v Speaker 2>by yourself, whatever the case may be, I hope it <v Speaker 2>was a good fourth for you. And we've got a <v Speaker 2>fun show for you tonight. Because it's all about you, guys. <v Speaker 2>It's time to hear what you have to say. Time <v Speaker 2>to hear what you're thinking about this past week in <v Speaker 2>the in the WWE and looking forward. We have thoughts <v Speaker 2>about SummerSlam. We even have a common and I believe <v Speaker 2>about the world rumble moving forward. Comment about suggestion about <v Speaker 2>the show. I preread the emails today, as you can tell, <v Speaker 2>so quite a wide variety of topics we're going to <v Speaker 2>discuss today. But I'd like to first invite you to <v Speaker 2>go add free at Patreon dot com. Slash WWE podcast <v Speaker 2>like to go add free, Good Place to Go as <v Speaker 2>well as Apple Podcasts, both offer ad free experiences and <v Speaker 2>they offer seven day with trials. If you want to <v Speaker 2>just give us a try and get everything for free <v Speaker 2>for a week and then bounce, that's cool too. But <v Speaker 2>I think I'll stick with us because we post a <v Speaker 2>lot of content every week and I think that you'll <v Speaker 2>definitely get your money's worth. Now let's jump into the emails, <v Speaker 2>but before we do one last housekeeping item. Actually two things. One, <v Speaker 2>I'm on vacation this coming week. Doesn't mean I won't <v Speaker 2>be able to post. I'm not going to have this microphone. <v Speaker 2>I'm going to be using my MacBook's microphone, which actually <v Speaker 2>isn't terrible. And I have to record from my car, <v Speaker 2>so there is that. But still I'll be able to <v Speaker 2>record and get you guys, albeit a probably weird schedule <v Speaker 2>coming up this next week, so it's a full week. <v Speaker 2>But I will be doing the best I can and <v Speaker 2>coming to you from an undisclosed location somewhere in the <v Speaker 2>United continental United States. So that really narrows it down. <v Speaker 2>But the other thing is we still have the Nxt <v Speaker 2>position open. If you are interested in joining and providing <v Speaker 2>an Nxt review for us, you have that opportunity. Just <v Speaker 2>email me mail bag at WWE podcast dot com and <v Speaker 2>essentially throwing your hat into the proverbial ring. Because the <v Speaker 2>only thing that's really required a couple things. Number one, timeliness, <v Speaker 2>I'd prefer that it's done by the next day after <v Speaker 2>NXT airs. And also, a quality microphone doesn't have to <v Speaker 2>be a four hundred dollars mic. It can just be <v Speaker 2>one that's USB and that usually is fine. So audio <v Speaker 2>quality is a big deal. So that is a requirement. <v Speaker 2>Now let's jump into it. Let's hear what you guys <v Speaker 2>have to say. I know that we do have a <v Speaker 2>few emails. Again, why variety, as I kind of teas <v Speaker 2>at the open. Let's start with the patrons though, because <v Speaker 2>they get priority. We're gonna start with Matt and Matt Bee. <v Speaker 2>He says, I just wanted to email in and give <v Speaker 2>you an in person review of Ron SmackDown that was <v Speaker 2>in Pittsburgh this week. Raw was live, then they taped <v Speaker 2>SmackDown right after, and I must say they were both <v Speaker 2>good shows in my opinion. Crowd was pretty hot, but <v Speaker 2>Raw definitely cooled down for SmackDown. It had its moments, <v Speaker 2>but after four hours, yes, four hours of wrestling, it's <v Speaker 2>expected to cool down. Lots of families there with kids, <v Speaker 2>Jay and Punk I think got the biggest pops. A <v Speaker 2>ton of j and Cody's shirts, but also Stone Cold <v Speaker 2>shirts were everywhere. Overall, I think the shows were really good. <v Speaker 2>I won't give any spoilers to SmackDown, but there were <v Speaker 2>two returns that were pretty unexpected. Sorry again about the <v Speaker 2>long email I have and have a good Fourth of <v Speaker 2>July weekend. Yeah, thank you, Matt, and I have not <v Speaker 2>seen SmackDown. It is airing as we speak. I don't <v Speaker 2>know what's going on, but I will find out who returned, <v Speaker 2>and yeah, that's that's to be expected. So the lackluster <v Speaker 2>crowd reaction that we're gonna hear in Pittsburgh is I mean, <v Speaker 2>that's that's good to know you because sometimes a lot <v Speaker 2>of us don't know that it's taped ahead of time, <v Speaker 2>and it's obviously smart on a holiday, so that's totally excusable. <v Speaker 2>So if the crowd isn't exactly hot, I will totally <v Speaker 2>forgive you guys for your lack of enthusiasm after four hours. <v Speaker 2>I mean, it's just it's just too much. It's too much. <v Speaker 2>But that's cool. Thank you if the tease, and thank <v Speaker 2>if the notes there and the fact that they're still <v Speaker 2>selling Stone Cold T shirts or people are wearing stone <v Speaker 2>Cold T shirts and Austin has not been in a <v Speaker 2>wrestling ring again. I know WrestleMania thirty eight was a <v Speaker 2>return match, but it wasn't a long build. It wasn't <v Speaker 2>build as a return match. You didn't have a long run. <v Speaker 2>So in all tenpsive purposes, his last real full time <v Speaker 2>match was WrestleMania nineteen when he wrestled against the Rock, <v Speaker 2>and he still has this impact today twenty years later. <v Speaker 2>It's incredible, absolutely incredible. So but thank you for that. <v Speaker 2>And lots of families there with kids. That's to be <v Speaker 2>expected to with these TV tapings, less so with the <v Speaker 2>plus because Stuck's too expensive for most people to afford. <v Speaker 2>All right, thanks so much for the notes, and let's <v Speaker 2>go to the next patron. <v Speaker 4>I believe. <v Speaker 2>DJ. He says after watching Knight of Champions, it's kind <v Speaker 2>of insane to see that the bloodline in twenty twenty five, <v Speaker 2>in this new iteration, it still continues without Roman, Jay <v Speaker 2>and Jimmy. However, not to spoil the next episode of SmackDown, <v Speaker 2>but there are some familiar faces to come to the <v Speaker 2>a of Jacob Fatu. Well, there you go for a <v Speaker 2>teaser speaking of Jacob Fatu, although by the time you <v Speaker 2>guys hear this, it SmackDown has already aired, so it's <v Speaker 2>not really a spoiler. I'm not recording this, you know, <v Speaker 2>this isn't a live stream. But speaking of Jacobatu dropping <v Speaker 2>the US title the Solo, I was absolutely surprised because <v Speaker 2>I assume that Jacob is going to retain after recently <v Speaker 2>winning the title at Wrestle mainy forty one. However, Solo <v Speaker 2>winning this title, even though it is a mid card title, <v Speaker 2>could be a big boost for his career because Solo <v Speaker 2>has had a lot of losses stepping back from when <v Speaker 2>he got pinned by twenty by Cody Roads in early <v Speaker 2>twenty twenty three and Monday Night Raw. Anyway, I hope <v Speaker 2>that's not the case for Fatu, but at this point, <v Speaker 2>with the loss to Solo and Solo's army adding members <v Speaker 2>with guys like Talatanga and the infamous Tongaloa, Jacob will <v Speaker 2>need help. I think at SummerSlam there will be some <v Speaker 2>sort of bloodline rules match for the United States Championship. <v Speaker 2>But at Summer Slam there will be some sort of <v Speaker 2>But the question is is Jacob FA two going to <v Speaker 2>regain or to Solo retain because looking farther ahead to <v Speaker 2>Suber a Survivors series in San Diego, I like that <v Speaker 2>this current storyline could lead to a Team Jacob versus <v Speaker 2>Team Solo in a possible five on five Wargames bloodline <v Speaker 2>rules match, with a returning Tomatanga to join Solo. But <v Speaker 2>then yet again, Jacoba two will need help. Yeah, lots <v Speaker 2>of moving parts here, I will say, by the way, <v Speaker 2>because I apologize. If you can hear the bangs, maybe <v Speaker 2>you can't. I can hear them better than you Probably <v Speaker 2>can hear that. Maybe maybe not, depends how it's coming <v Speaker 2>through in the micro fireworks outside. So that's what's popping <v Speaker 2>in the background. Uh, that's very possible Jacoba two and <v Speaker 2>Solo in a five on five again another bloodline in <v Speaker 2>another Survivor series wargames match. Totally possible. Is anybody though, <v Speaker 2>getting bored of the blood line. I know that they <v Speaker 2>keep keep mutating it, but it's kind of it is <v Speaker 2>like a virus that you can't seem to kill, and <v Speaker 2>every time you come up with a vaccine for it, <v Speaker 2>it mutates and you don't know how to stop it <v Speaker 2>from continuing. I liken it to a virus, partially because <v Speaker 2>I'm tired of the bloodline. I don't care how they <v Speaker 2>kind of mutate it anymore. I just don't. I'm tired <v Speaker 2>of it. I'm tired of it being the centerpiece of SmackDown. <v Speaker 2>There is a part of me that feels that way, <v Speaker 2>probably about half of me feels that way that I <v Speaker 2>don't even care who joins anymore. I don't care if <v Speaker 2>the entire family rises, the Samoan bloodline family rises from <v Speaker 2>the grave and joins, if they're able to be resurrected <v Speaker 2>and Roman reigns is on one side, I don't care. <v Speaker 2>I mean, I just part of me is really feeling <v Speaker 2>that way. That doesn't nothing really affects me. There's no <v Speaker 2>big surprises anymore, and even if there is, it's kind <v Speaker 2>of like, oh well, it's still entangled in this bloodline <v Speaker 2>story that just won't die. I feel like, no matter <v Speaker 2>how yes they keep kind of they keep able. They're <v Speaker 2>able to adapt and bring new people in and change <v Speaker 2>the story. And I appreciate that, and they're trying to <v Speaker 2>get everything out of this bloodline story that they can. <v Speaker 2>But it's been going on for five years now and <v Speaker 2>it just won't stop. All right. So that's the part <v Speaker 2>of me that wants to complain and say enough please, <v Speaker 2>I surrender. I'm waving the white flag. The other part <v Speaker 2>of me is feeling okay, cool. This is giving guys <v Speaker 2>like Talatanga Tangaloa Jacob Fatu a great platform to jumpstart <v Speaker 2>their careers that they otherwise might not have gotten. So <v Speaker 2>there is that, and it's it's I get it, and <v Speaker 2>I'm here for the star building process a lot of fans. <v Speaker 2>And I'm not saying I'm better than any fan. I <v Speaker 2>just I've become numb too and can appreciate the star <v Speaker 2>building process. Not everyone needs to be a big star <v Speaker 2>all the time to hold my interest. And you'll see <v Speaker 2>those fans come in around Royal Rumble time, Russel anytime, <v Speaker 2>where all they want to know is, oh my God, <v Speaker 2>is take her coming back? Is Austin coming back? Is <v Speaker 2>the rock showing up? All they know are the household <v Speaker 2>names that they want to be able to see at WrestleMania, <v Speaker 2>you know, or the big pls or if it somehow <v Speaker 2>pops into mainstream culture, if something happens, they'll, you know, <v Speaker 2>they'll they'll peek in and go, what's going on? What's <v Speaker 2>going on guys, huh, and then they'll go back out <v Speaker 2>and do obscurity. But from a lot of us hardcore fans, <v Speaker 2>we are more passionate. I don't care about the label. <v Speaker 2>We appreciate this process. We can appreciate what the bloodline <v Speaker 2>is providing for new talent. It's a it's a perfect <v Speaker 2>place for them to springboard. So all right, anyway, one <v Speaker 2>final thing to mention about Knight of Champions. Jade Cargill <v Speaker 2>winning the Queen of the Ring Finals against Oscar was <v Speaker 2>not thrilling. She didn't get a pop from the crowd. <v Speaker 2>The crowd was absolutely silent during her post match celebration <v Speaker 2>and her interview with Byron. In my opinion, Jade's postmatch <v Speaker 2>promo was confusing, and then she said and then when <v Speaker 2>she said quote a storm is coming for SummerSlam, that <v Speaker 2>part sounded so cheesy and weak to me. It's like <v Speaker 2>she did not believe her in her promo. And at SummerSlam, <v Speaker 2>it looks like Naomi is going to cash in at <v Speaker 2>her money in the bank contract and the match of <v Speaker 2>Jade versus Tiffany turns into a triple threat and Naomi <v Speaker 2>wins the title. Jade in year two and WWE still <v Speaker 2>needs more work, especially with her promos. Plus, Jade all <v Speaker 2>along has given off quote a sense of entitlement when <v Speaker 2>she first arrived in WWE almost two years ago. She's <v Speaker 2>not getting that full crowd support because one, she gives <v Speaker 2>off that I'm better than you vibe, which turns the <v Speaker 2>majority of the WW crowd off. And two, wwwe never <v Speaker 2>took the time to build a backstory about her as <v Speaker 2>to why the fans should emotionally invest in her. Jade <v Speaker 2>in the WW creative have a lot of work to <v Speaker 2>do to help Jade get over with the majority of fans. <v Speaker 2>And one final thing that still bothers me about Jade <v Speaker 2>and the company is that I don't understand why WWE <v Speaker 2>did not let Jades start in NXT like they did <v Speaker 2>with Julia and Stephanie Viccor because having j start an <v Speaker 2>NXT for at least two to three years would have <v Speaker 2>given her a basic in ringing experience in wrestling and <v Speaker 2>cutting promos in WWE. DG cuzmos signing off thank you DJ, Well, yeah, <v Speaker 2>you mean you've pick up some great points. I mean <v Speaker 2>I've hammered home the fact that there's no emotional connection, <v Speaker 2>which is what's causing the lack of reaction that she <v Speaker 2>feels entitled to simply because of her look. And let's <v Speaker 2>be honest, if you were able to put true serum <v Speaker 2>in her and not have her be able to think <v Speaker 2>of an answer that doesn't make it look like she's <v Speaker 2>extremely narcissistic, she would tell you, no, I should be <v Speaker 2>getting this reaction. I mean, look at me. That's what <v Speaker 2>she would want to say. That's what her brain wants <v Speaker 2>to say, you know it, because that's all she's leaned on. <v Speaker 2>At the same time, and I continue to say that <v Speaker 2>she has improved generally in the ring enough to the <v Speaker 2>point where we should feel like she's ready for to <v Speaker 2>hold a championship. No, she's not there yet, And that's <v Speaker 2>what the fans are telling her. Hey, Jade, like, hey, <v Speaker 2>we get it. You look like you know, you're created <v Speaker 2>from wrestling gods and goddesses. We understand that. And that's <v Speaker 2>it's great. You look the part, but you don't feel <v Speaker 2>the part. You don't play the part well, right, So <v Speaker 2>you look on the outside like you could move mountains <v Speaker 2>and be sculpted out of stone all of that, and <v Speaker 2>that's incredible and that's wonderful, But boy, that does not <v Speaker 2>that in and of itself has never and will never <v Speaker 2>ever pull out the heartstrings of fans. Ever. You can <v Speaker 2>sit there and say, oh my gosh, or what did <v Speaker 2>she say in her tweet on X What did she say? <v Speaker 2>Something like? <v Speaker 5>Oh? <v Speaker 2>She said quote like wow, Yeah, we're thinking the same thing, Jade. <v Speaker 2>We're thinking the same thing about you. Can we get <v Speaker 2>a little backstory? And that's uncreative. But if I were Jade, <v Speaker 2>I'd be pushing it too, and she does. She inherently <v Speaker 2>gives off the on better than you vibe. And if <v Speaker 2>all she says is her tagline, I mean I could <v Speaker 2>do that. That's not an acquired skill. We know what <v Speaker 2>your tagline is. A storm is coming. You got a <v Speaker 2>great entrance. I like your I actually really enjoy your entrance. <v Speaker 2>I really like her music. She's got that going for <v Speaker 2>her too. But see, all of these are superficial. All <v Speaker 2>of these are things that should trigger your mind to <v Speaker 2>cheer for somebody that you authentically can relate to. That's <v Speaker 2>what she's missing, that's what the company's missing. And it's <v Speaker 2>clear she's not good at promos unless there's something we're <v Speaker 2>hiding or that they're hiding, and they just they're gonna <v Speaker 2>spring it on us, but I doubt it. So, yeah, Jade, <v Speaker 2>I'm not giving up on her. But I mean, Naomi's <v Speaker 2>light years ahead of her light years I mean Naomi <v Speaker 2>I may not you know, some things in the Ring <v Speaker 2>she's done, like I'm glad she changed her rear view finished, <v Speaker 2>thank god, and now Oscar has adopted it. But nonetheless, <v Speaker 2>Naomi has just clicked into her promos just I mean <v Speaker 2>her look, she's been rebirthed. That's what Jade needs. She <v Speaker 2>needs to stop thinking about her taglines and how she's <v Speaker 2>looking on camera and just go out there and try <v Speaker 2>to pull some part of her real personality onto the <v Speaker 2>show and magnify it because then you don't have to <v Speaker 2>try to act, you just are yourself. That's what she <v Speaker 2>needs to do. And this is not you know, this <v Speaker 2>is not rocket science. When it comes to what needs <v Speaker 2>to be done, is it easy? No, Simple and easy <v Speaker 2>are two different things. What's simple isn't always easy. So <v Speaker 2>you know that's what she needs. We all know it. <v Speaker 2>Thank you, DJ. Well, let's go to let's see Dino. <v Speaker 2>Dino has been a while, my friend, he says at <v Speaker 2>seven am here in Scotland on July fourth. Here is <v Speaker 2>the earliest correct prediction you'll ever hear. Sammy Zaye will <v Speaker 2>win the twenty twenty six Royal Rumble. You heard it <v Speaker 2>here first, Dino. That is a very good prediction. I <v Speaker 2>haven't even actually thought about the Rumble yet. What are <v Speaker 2>we is the Rumble in February this year, which is <v Speaker 2>just again it's sacrilegious to me. I whatever it is, <v Speaker 2>we're almost halfway to the Rumble again. I think he <v Speaker 2>is in the top three of contenders if I'm being honest, Yes, <v Speaker 2>it is. I mean, again, we don't know the landscape <v Speaker 2>of the company in the next few months to start <v Speaker 2>to think about it. I mean, who's champion is when <v Speaker 2>Sina drops his title in mid December, if he holds <v Speaker 2>it that long, who does he drop a two? And <v Speaker 2>are there injuries that are unforeseen? All of that stuff. <v Speaker 2>But if all holds true, sam He's in is absolutely <v Speaker 2>a top contender. Yes, I mean they're laying the foundation <v Speaker 2>work now. They're laying the foundational work with all these <v Speaker 2>people telling him you'll ever be champion, Yes, you will <v Speaker 2>be champion, No, you won't be champion. They are laying <v Speaker 2>it right now for the underdog from the underground to <v Speaker 2>come out and win the twenty twenty six World Rumble. <v Speaker 2>I think, if done right, the fans will really be <v Speaker 2>behind this and support this and believe this. Jay Uso <v Speaker 2>winning last year, I know a lot of people supported it, <v Speaker 2>but there were a subset of fans, including myself, that <v Speaker 2>just felt it didn't feel right. We understood why, yes, <v Speaker 2>he's over, but it felt like he was over in <v Speaker 2>a way. How do I describe this? So there's being <v Speaker 2>being over as again, this is a fan speaking, So <v Speaker 2>what do I know. I've never been in a wrestling ring. <v Speaker 2>According to Triple H, I shouldn't have an opinion, but <v Speaker 2>at least a preapproved one. I feel that being over <v Speaker 2>with the crowd doesn't always mean that the crowd is <v Speaker 2>ready to accept you as champion. There's and I can't <v Speaker 2>eloquently put it into words, where Jay has always been <v Speaker 2>over with the fans. They have been with him with <v Speaker 2>the crowd reactions and the yeat and the arm movements, <v Speaker 2>and he's coming through the crowd all of that. But <v Speaker 2>just because you're over to that level doesn't mean that <v Speaker 2>it's it's super deep, like fans can still really enjoy <v Speaker 2>being with you, being a part of your entrance saying yeat. <v Speaker 2>So it's almost like a participatory connection, like you do this, <v Speaker 2>we do that. You've got a lot of high energy, <v Speaker 2>you're fun. But when you get beyond all of that, <v Speaker 2>do fans really care? And can can they actually see <v Speaker 2>you being a champion? Do you feel like a champion <v Speaker 2>to fans before you get the belt? The answer for <v Speaker 2>a lot of fans is no, And it ended up <v Speaker 2>panning out where Jay didn't feel I mean, ww management <v Speaker 2>something felt clearly felt the same way when they corrected <v Speaker 2>course by giving Gun through the belt back. So Sammy <v Speaker 2>winning next year With the connection that Jay and Sammy have, <v Speaker 2>maybe Jay and Sammy are the last two next year? Yeah, <v Speaker 2>maybe they are? Okay, good to hear from you. Do <v Speaker 2>you know been a while or as the kid say, <v Speaker 2>been a hot minute? All right, let's go to Steven <v Speaker 2>Stevie g and he says, I thought it was noteworthy <v Speaker 2>that Cody made comments about the finish from SummerSlam after <v Speaker 2>acknowledging the horrible WrestleMania finish. If I can make a prediction, <v Speaker 2>I kind of feel like the groundwork for seeing his <v Speaker 2>baby face turn is little by little getting laid out, <v Speaker 2>and I almost feel like Cody is turning heel on <v Speaker 2>the horizon and it needs to happen. I feel that <v Speaker 2>I got that Rock will have some sort of involvement <v Speaker 2>based on the statements Cody made. I'm not sure how <v Speaker 2>they would do it, but I predict Cody takes the <v Speaker 2>belt in a heelish fashion and Sina will lose the belt. <v Speaker 2>I think that losing to Cody will also set up <v Speaker 2>Sena and The Rock going head to head at a <v Speaker 2>pl in another Last Match ever fashion. All right, so <v Speaker 2>before I continue, you've only got another quick thought, but <v Speaker 2>I want to respond to this first. Cody has talked <v Speaker 2>about the acknowledgment of yeah, the WrestleMania sucked, you know, <v Speaker 2>not of course in a not in a corporate suit <v Speaker 2>way that he the way he speaks, but yeah, he <v Speaker 2>is so much pretty much acknowledged. Yeah, I wasn't a <v Speaker 2>great finish, and you know, my bad hour bad. You know, <v Speaker 2>we'll do better, and we got a mulligan coming up <v Speaker 2>at summerslat and I hope they like. Look, I'm fine <v Speaker 2>with if The Rock wants to come out and they <v Speaker 2>want to do what should have happened at WrestleMania by <v Speaker 2>all means, Doug have at it. It's not going to <v Speaker 2>change the fact that you guys done ft up in <v Speaker 2>the biggest spot in the biggest WrestleMania of all time <v Speaker 2>according to them. But again, every WrestleMania is the biggest <v Speaker 2>WrestleMania of all time until the next WrestleMania, which is <v Speaker 2>the biggest WrestleMania of all time. Yeah, of course, I <v Speaker 2>don't know how they measure big, probably by dollars and <v Speaker 2>cents these days, but this is certainly possible. Stevie, this <v Speaker 2>is definitely possible. And Seena's look Sina's turning baby face <v Speaker 2>no matter what, they could do whatever they want. John <v Speaker 2>Cena could end up unaliving people's grandmothers on a weekly basis. <v Speaker 2>He could turn it into a segment un raw where <v Speaker 2>he you know, he takes the person you're with, say <v Speaker 2>you're with a family member and he unlives them in <v Speaker 2>the middle of the ring and you're standing there, and <v Speaker 2>you know, eventually people would not care. I mean, just <v Speaker 2>it's an extreme, just dramatic, ridiculous example. But my point <v Speaker 2>about all this is like people aren't gonna care once <v Speaker 2>they get to really it's already starting to happen now, <v Speaker 2>and with how good Sena is at promos, which we <v Speaker 2>saw in his reverse pipe bomb promo on Punk that <v Speaker 2>was just outstanding. People are just realizing, I don't care <v Speaker 2>what you say, what you do, We're gonna see through it. <v Speaker 2>Go ahead and run us down, Run our city down, <v Speaker 2>run our sports team down. Check off all the typical <v Speaker 2>the boxes of being a healed to get heat, cheer <v Speaker 2>for the opposing you hated rival sports team, wear their <v Speaker 2>jersey when you come out, talk about how we're spoiled <v Speaker 2>and we're in an abusive relationship. What I don't care. <v Speaker 2>I don't care, go down the list. People aren't going <v Speaker 2>to care because they have realized John Cena has fifteen <v Speaker 2>dates left, and if I'm in a city where he's at, <v Speaker 2>I don't care what he says or does. We're here <v Speaker 2>because we can appreciate him being here, and the fourth <v Speaker 2>wall is broken and it should be people should just <v Speaker 2>appreciate John Cena. Now, if you want to go there <v Speaker 2>and boom, by all means, but I think it organically <v Speaker 2>will happen because we're human beings and the reality is <v Speaker 2>starting to set in that John Cena is leaving and <v Speaker 2>leaving for good. He's not here on a kind of <v Speaker 2>half ass retirement to it. No, he's done after middle December. <v Speaker 2>He's just stated it that his final match is in <v Speaker 2>mid December, not the end of December, mid December, whatever <v Speaker 2>that means. I looked at the Ple schedule. There's like <v Speaker 2>a Saturday night main event that's to be determined squeezed <v Speaker 2>in there. There's an NXT event that's squeezed in there. <v Speaker 2>I think it's called what's the NXT event called? I <v Speaker 2>can't remember, but there's an NXT event. But there's no <v Speaker 2>big pl in December. Let's they want to make a <v Speaker 2>December to remember, But I don't think they'll go there. <v Speaker 2>I just really believe that there's nothing they can do, <v Speaker 2>and they can do whatever they want to keep him heal, <v Speaker 2>but it's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. <v Speaker 2>They don't even need to set the table for him <v Speaker 2>to turn baby face. It's going to happen no matter what. <v Speaker 2>And his photos. As far as Cody turning heel, I mean, <v Speaker 2>I've been on that boat for years. He literally years <v Speaker 2>that he is made to be a heel. His mannerisms, <v Speaker 2>his outfits, just the way he speaks, everything, the dude's <v Speaker 2>a heel. He I mean, even the Undertaker season and <v Speaker 2>has said it as such that his best days are <v Speaker 2>going to be as a heel. And you know, time <v Speaker 2>will tell. But everything about him screams heel. Everything from <v Speaker 2>the stupid blonde hair and and you know his tappered <v Speaker 2>tapered suits and his you know, the way he speaks, <v Speaker 2>and he's so self satisfied and he's always trying to <v Speaker 2>play the good guy to a to a point of nauseum. <v Speaker 2>I mean, the dude is just he's a heel. You <v Speaker 2>take his music out and I think he could turn heel, <v Speaker 2>but I don't know. So your scenario though, the Rock <v Speaker 2>comes back and Cody turns heel, I mean, what is <v Speaker 2>Cody gonna sell his soul to the Rock? Was this <v Speaker 2>all the russ with Cody and the Rock? I mean, <v Speaker 2>then it gets just preposterous. So I don't know how <v Speaker 2>exactly that it happens. But okay, last point here. Also, <v Speaker 2>as I write this email, I found myself laughing at <v Speaker 2>your tangent about Jade during the Raw review, and you're <v Speaker 2>noting that she wasn't even on Raw. You do tend <v Speaker 2>to go off the rails, but you always have a <v Speaker 2>lot of great points, which is why I listen you <v Speaker 2>and the gang do a great ship. Well, thank you, yeah, <v Speaker 2>thank you, and happy fourth to you as well, Stevie. <v Speaker 2>I mean, I go off the rails. I how you <v Speaker 2>guys are getting an inside look for better or worse, <v Speaker 2>A lot of times worse into my brain. I really <v Speaker 2>try to stay on task. I try, but I just <v Speaker 2>sometimes I just go way off and then I just <v Speaker 2>go down this rabbit hole and I have to remember <v Speaker 2>what the hell was I even talking about. But I <v Speaker 2>think wrestling is inherently like that, because there are so <v Speaker 2>many scenarios that could play out that you go down <v Speaker 2>a rabbit hole of one of a million, and then <v Speaker 2>you forget what road you're even on. That's wrestling though, <v Speaker 2>you know, if this, then that, then that, then this, <v Speaker 2>Well what if I did this and then try to <v Speaker 2>tweak this, and what if we did this now but <v Speaker 2>then later we do that? Like it's it's a topic <v Speaker 2>that has infinite solutions, which is why I think it's <v Speaker 2>difficult to stay on task. All right, thank you, Let's <v Speaker 2>go to. <v Speaker 6>One. <v Speaker 2>I think this is my last email, and then we <v Speaker 2>have a few voicemails that we will get to so <v Speaker 2>let's oh, this is this is a good one suggestion <v Speaker 2>on my show. So this one is from Scotty. He says, <v Speaker 2>what's up, Matt. I hope you're having a good day. <v Speaker 2>So I have something to get off my chest about <v Speaker 2>the show, and I hope you don't take it the <v Speaker 2>wrong way. I have a suggestion. Would it be possible <v Speaker 2>to do a co host when you do reviews? Not <v Speaker 2>to take anything away from you, you're doing a good job, <v Speaker 2>but I feel like you go off topic and long <v Speaker 2>rants that you've already talked about before. Complaining of WWE <v Speaker 2>is fine. I have no problem with that, but it's <v Speaker 2>when you talk about the same stuff multiple times, like <v Speaker 2>Rock and Cody and Triple H and now Jade. I'm <v Speaker 2>a fan of your show. I know I talked about <v Speaker 2>this in the discord before and someone told me to <v Speaker 2>watch a different podcast. O jeez, if I don't like it, <v Speaker 2>that's like me telling you to watch a different wrestling <v Speaker 2>show if I don't like it. If I don't like WWE, <v Speaker 2>I'm trying to give my opinion like you do with <v Speaker 2>this podcast. If I have to look like the bad <v Speaker 2>guy to post a negative mail bag, then that's fine. <v Speaker 2>I'll be the heal. I want the show to be <v Speaker 2>better and attract more listeners. That's my suggestion. And let <v Speaker 2>me know what you think. Scott. You know absolutely, here's <v Speaker 2>what I'm not going to say. I'm not gonna tell <v Speaker 2>you listen to another show. You came to me very <v Speaker 2>respectfully and said, look, here's something that I find annoying. <v Speaker 2>Here's what you can do better. I can take criticism <v Speaker 2>in a way that's done professionally and with a respect. <v Speaker 2>So I'm no. I know some people are thinking I'm <v Speaker 2>gonna say, oh, you know, oh my god, then go <v Speaker 2>watch No, I mean you can You're more the I mean, <v Speaker 2>you do you bro. I mean, if I'm not your flavor, <v Speaker 2>go to Wade Keller, go to Jason Powell. They're both great. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>I really enjoy both of them. I mean they're they're both. Yeah. <v Speaker 2>There are actually a lot of the reason I started <v Speaker 2>doing this ten years ago. Uh So, you know, certainly <v Speaker 2>there's options out there's a zillion wrestling podcast, but you <v Speaker 2>know the big ones. We all know. We all you know, <v Speaker 2>if you're if you're listening to this show, you probably <v Speaker 2>listening to more than just this show. Right, You've got <v Speaker 2>what is it bust it Open? They're I think one <v Speaker 2>of the number one, number one, number two, they're they're <v Speaker 2>huge bust it open. And I have mixed feelings on them, <v Speaker 2>you know, nothing personal I I have mixed feelings on them. <v Speaker 2>You know what did I see today? Was it something <v Speaker 2>about Bubba Ray Dudley. He he's talking about I'm gonna <v Speaker 2>pull back the curtain a little bit about Gunther and Goldberg, <v Speaker 2>and I'm like, dude, there's no curtain left. What do <v Speaker 2>you mean You're going to pull back the curtain? He <v Speaker 2>thinks he's being some guy. He's like revolutionary about pulling <v Speaker 2>back the curtain on something when the product itself on <v Speaker 2>a weekly basis pulls back the curtain and does it <v Speaker 2>without shame. So there, I mean, hey, but I mean <v Speaker 2>I really have nothing personally. They're very successful, very successful. <v Speaker 2>But back to my point, I absolutely if you you know, <v Speaker 2>if you think that that would help the show. And <v Speaker 2>I've I used to do cost co hosted shows and <v Speaker 2>it just was really tough with my schedule to coordinate, <v Speaker 2>and you know, it certainly would be a good thing <v Speaker 2>to kind of mix it up and not just hear <v Speaker 2>me rant for fifty minutes I get it. I get it, <v Speaker 2>and I'm well aware too, you know that that bringing <v Speaker 2>on another voice to talk with me would be a <v Speaker 2>good thing. It absolutely would be. And then I keep <v Speaker 2>trying to do video. It's here's the thing, Scottie, It's <v Speaker 2>not a matter of will, it's a matter of time. <v Speaker 2>And everybody seems these days pressed for time. Everybody's got <v Speaker 2>their own life thrown I've got so what's going on? <v Speaker 2>You don't even know. I've got this, I've got that, <v Speaker 2>I've got this stress. I've got that stress. We all do. <v Speaker 2>So I guess, you know, I don't really explain anybody. <v Speaker 2>I mean, I've got kids, even if you don't, you <v Speaker 2>have a you know a lot of people with busy lives, <v Speaker 2>even if you don't have kids, Like, yeah, I understand, <v Speaker 2>you know. And so it's really it's just a time thing. <v Speaker 2>It's a time thing. And honestly, though, Scottie, I am <v Speaker 2>trying to grow the show. But the hardest thing I've <v Speaker 2>realized over the last several years is not actually creating <v Speaker 2>the show editing it. That's time consuming. It's marketing because <v Speaker 2>by the time you're done editing and you're posting it <v Speaker 2>and you're exhausted. You're like, I don't want to promote <v Speaker 2>this thing, so you just leave it out there and <v Speaker 2>you're just like you kind of hope people somehow stumble <v Speaker 2>on it, so you know, or you could pay to <v Speaker 2>have it market it, but that gets expensive real quick. <v Speaker 2>So the self marketing is also more time consuming. It's <v Speaker 2>a matter of time, just time. And yeah, I appreciate it, though, <v Speaker 2>I appreciate Scotty, no harm, no foul. I'm not gonna <v Speaker 2>not gonna be nasty because no, you were very respectful. <v Speaker 2>So okay, I encourage you to continue to listen. But <v Speaker 2>I hear a loud and clear I don't disagree with you. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>if I were a listener of this show, I'd be <v Speaker 2>thinking the same thing. All right, let's get to those voicemails, <v Speaker 2>and we're gonna start with Alex the French Guy as the. <v Speaker 4>French guy here, your current European Champion. I'm not the <v Speaker 4>biggest Cody Roads fan. Let's be honest. I'm not a <v Speaker 4>fan of his character. I think sometimes he feels forced <v Speaker 4>and his promo doesn't feel natural. But at night of Champion, <v Speaker 4>just after the match against Randy Orton, you have a <v Speaker 4>untaated a to the core, which could be what we <v Speaker 4>are looking for in the Coding Roads character, cutting a <v Speaker 4>good promo and after match promo, after facing Rainy Jorton, <v Speaker 4>and I completely completely am with this side of his character. <v Speaker 4>Let's hear it a little bit, not all of it, <v Speaker 4>but the main part, what is the most important part <v Speaker 4>for me. <v Speaker 7>Completely get how you feel as an audience when I <v Speaker 7>go up against these beloved characters, but I want you <v Speaker 7>to hear it from me. <v Speaker 8>I was born to do this. <v Speaker 7>Whether it be Ceam Punk or John Cena, they are <v Speaker 7>holding onto that belt for themselves and they are holding <v Speaker 7>onto it for me because that Summer Slam, I get <v Speaker 7>the ball back. <v Speaker 4>You see. That's what I'm talking about about the Cody <v Speaker 4>Rules character might as well be a baby thing face <v Speaker 4>for at least one to two years, but might as <v Speaker 4>well untend to fire yourself because when you see this <v Speaker 4>cocky Cody Road singing that saying that he's born for this, <v Speaker 4>you can see that he's thinking about this. He knows <v Speaker 4>and he absolutely thinking what he's saying when he's saying <v Speaker 4>I was born for this, with this cockiness, with the suits, <v Speaker 4>with everything. Of course, you have the line that is <v Speaker 4>very thin between a heel and a face character. So, <v Speaker 4>in my opinion, the Cody Roads character should definitely go <v Speaker 4>to this route when doing the promo, when articulating the character, <v Speaker 4>and especially with this tune of voice, that was absolutely great. <v Speaker 4>You had a little bit of fatigue in the voice <v Speaker 4>as well. That was really great. <v Speaker 6>For once. <v Speaker 4>I got to say that was a great let's say <v Speaker 4>not promo because it was just about a minute or two, <v Speaker 4>but it was great after match promo. Cody Woods should <v Speaker 4>definitely incline into this character. That absolutely aligns within myself <v Speaker 4>what I think is the real Cody World's character. <v Speaker 2>Bye guys, Alex, So you and I different a little <v Speaker 2>bit on this. Here's where I agree with you. The <v Speaker 2>passion in his voice. We'll call it a promo because <v Speaker 2>we'll just that's what we're gonna call it right now. <v Speaker 2>He was very passionate. It came from a real place. <v Speaker 2>There's nothing phony about that. I don't think this was <v Speaker 2>really forced. So yeah, in him saying he was born <v Speaker 2>for this, Yes, cool. I want to hear that. That's <v Speaker 2>a good thing to hear as a babyface. That will <v Speaker 2>get the crowd behind you. I can you know, I <v Speaker 2>can relate to that. I can understand that. So that's great, <v Speaker 2>and that's where you and I agree. The part of <v Speaker 2>this that I don't agree with, and I've already hammered <v Speaker 2>Cody on this in the post review, him calling the <v Speaker 2>wrestlers beloved characters, because I mean, I don't mean to <v Speaker 2>rehash it, but since you played it, I don't want <v Speaker 2>to hear that they're beloved characters. Can he just call <v Speaker 2>them competitors wrestlers? Are we really gonna say beloved characters? <v Speaker 2>I know what he's saying, we know what he means. <v Speaker 2>He's saying, Look, I'm a babyface going against other babyfaces. <v Speaker 2>I know that that puts you guys in a weird position, <v Speaker 2>but still love me and understand why I have to <v Speaker 2>fight them. But don't call them beloved characters. That's the <v Speaker 2>part that really set me off. I know this good stuff. <v Speaker 2>I gave you the good stuff. This this spoiled the <v Speaker 2>whole promo for me, though, because again it's it's pandering. <v Speaker 2>It's like acknowledging. Hey, the thing is, if you felt <v Speaker 2>strong enough in your character, you wouldn't even have to <v Speaker 2>acknowledge that, you know what I mean, You wouldn't even <v Speaker 2>have to if you were very confident that the fans <v Speaker 2>would stick with you and wouldn't have to feel like <v Speaker 2>they are a little bit like, oh man, we gotta <v Speaker 2>choose sides. What do we do? Let's choose the guy <v Speaker 2>that understands the position we're in. That's a sign of <v Speaker 2>weakness in his character. I would argue, it's a little <v Speaker 2>bit of I think, a little bit of self consciousness, <v Speaker 2>a little bit of a little bit of I think <v Speaker 2>lack of confidence in his character to be able to <v Speaker 2>go against these guys that he knows are coming down <v Speaker 2>the line that are also mega babyfaces, and he's gonna <v Speaker 2>have to beat them, and the crowd's gonna have to <v Speaker 2>decide who they're gonna cheer for. If your character was <v Speaker 2>that solid and you were that confident, you wouldn't even <v Speaker 2>have to acknowledge this. It would just happen. So that's <v Speaker 2>how I dissect and psychoanalyze this one. But anyway, no, Alex, <v Speaker 2>I understand it. Totally get what you're saying. It's the <v Speaker 2>first half of that promo that completely murdered anything else <v Speaker 2>that happened after. I mean, it just it just sucked <v Speaker 2>the life out of anything else that it could have taken. <v Speaker 2>Positively out of it. All right, let's get to our <v Speaker 2>next one. <v Speaker 6>This is DJ colesmel Back added again on your mailback <v Speaker 6>show records. <v Speaker 2>You live on the Wednesday board, and you know what <v Speaker 2>time it is. <v Speaker 8>It's time to see his name. Man, he appears. I <v Speaker 8>believe in Joe Hendry. I believe in Joe Hendry. That's right, folks, <v Speaker 8>Joe Hendry is his name. <v Speaker 6>As I take you to my fifty first episode of <v Speaker 6>The Judger for and like always, coming to your life <v Speaker 6>from an undisclosed location. Before we start today's show, I <v Speaker 6>must mention two quick things. The first thing, in response <v Speaker 6>to your coming mat about Joe Hendry not getting a <v Speaker 6>loud pop on his recent appearance on NXT I have <v Speaker 6>to view with you. I saw that clip a couple <v Speaker 6>of times and it was very bizarre, very strange to <v Speaker 6>me that Joe Hendry did not get a loud pop, <v Speaker 6>especially the fact that this was his first return sends <v Speaker 6>his loss to Trick Williams at NXC Battleground. He comes <v Speaker 6>in on this episode, the music hits, but he comes <v Speaker 6>from behind and attack Trick Williams. But yet there was <v Speaker 6>not a loud pop for Joe Hendry. <v Speaker 8>I don't know what was going on. <v Speaker 6>Hopefully it was just for that episode, because it looks <v Speaker 6>like Joe Henry will be on a couple of episodes <v Speaker 6>on NXT as the road to his contraction rematch for <v Speaker 6>TNAY Semer Versary continues. And let's talk about this updated <v Speaker 6>card for TNA Summer Versary, which will be happening on Sunday, <v Speaker 6>July twenty live from Elmont, New York and Long Island <v Speaker 6>at the UBS Arena. So far, we have Joe Hendry <v Speaker 6>versus Trick Williams for the TENAY World Championship. <v Speaker 8>It is Joe. <v Speaker 6>Hendry's contractual rematch. We also have Leon Slater versus Moose <v Speaker 6>for the TNA Ex Division Championship. And also we now <v Speaker 6>have a four way tag team ladder match for the <v Speaker 6>TNA World Tag Team titles of the NEMA Brothers, which <v Speaker 6>of course they are the tag team champions of Ryan <v Speaker 6>and nickname It. We also have the Rascals of Trey <v Speaker 6>Miguel and Zachary Winz. We also have the Hardy Boys <v Speaker 6>of Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy and of course First <v Speaker 6>Class of AJ Francis and K C. Navarro. All four <v Speaker 6>of these tag teams are going to be in this <v Speaker 6>ladder match. In my opinion, I believe that the favorite <v Speaker 6>is the Rascals of Trey, Miguel and Zebra wins to <v Speaker 6>become the new TNA World Tag Team Champions. Now, let's <v Speaker 6>take it back to a TV tapping from TV for <v Speaker 6>Wrestling from last week as they were in Pittsburgh. We <v Speaker 6>had Joe Hendry as he thanks the crowd for their <v Speaker 6>support during this tough time for him and for TNA. <v Speaker 6>After when he dropped it the TNA Championship to Trick <v Speaker 6>Williams an outsider at NXT Battleground, he vows that he <v Speaker 6>wants to get back to TEENA World Title not just <v Speaker 6>for him, but to bring it back to TNA for <v Speaker 6>the fans as they continue to believe in him, as <v Speaker 6>they believed in him through his ascension, as he made <v Speaker 6>an appearance at the Royal Robo, as he had his <v Speaker 6>match against Randio and at WrestleMania forty one. Of course, <v Speaker 6>what he won the TNA World Championship at TEENA Genis <v Speaker 6>in January, and then when he made an appearance at <v Speaker 6>Triple Mania Regia a couple of days ago. With all <v Speaker 6>of those appearances, with all of those amazing things that <v Speaker 6>happened for Joe Hendry. He asked the question to the crowd, <v Speaker 6>can you support me once again? As he's now on <v Speaker 6>the road to his redemption to regain the TNA World <v Speaker 6>title at Slammiversary And it is official, like a dimension, <v Speaker 6>It's going to be Joe Hendry versus Trick Williams for <v Speaker 6>the TNA World Championship. But before we get there, Joe <v Speaker 6>Hendry must face Wes Lee on the episode of NXT <v Speaker 6>and let's get to that match, folks, of Joe Hendry <v Speaker 6>versus Wesley to open up the NXT show. This match <v Speaker 6>lasted six minutes and thirty seconds. But let me quickly <v Speaker 6>paint a picture for you guys. As obviously we had <v Speaker 6>Wesley the challenger, we also had Trick Williams, the TEENA <v Speaker 6>World Champion. He was sitting at ringsight at the commentating this. <v Speaker 6>And then we had Wesley's two huge lackeys, Entyson and <v Speaker 6>Tyreek of High Rise to help none other than Wesley <v Speaker 6>try to get the victory. But as he fasts forward <v Speaker 6>to the course of this match, we see Joe Henry <v Speaker 6>delivering a fisherman's carry. That's right, folks, Joe Henry delivers <v Speaker 6>a fisherman carried to Wesley. Then Joe goes for the cover, <v Speaker 6>but then Tyson puts Wesley's leg at the bottom rope <v Speaker 6>to break the count. Then we see Tyson and Tyreek <v Speaker 6>of High Rise as they stand on the ringside apron <v Speaker 6>to distract both the referee and Joe Hendry as wes <v Speaker 6>Lee was getting ready to do his come from behind <v Speaker 6>attack on Joe Hendry. But then all of a sudden, <v Speaker 6>we get the appearance of a new person that has <v Speaker 6>been added to the storyline, and that is Mike Santana. <v Speaker 6>Mike Santana appears, he pulls down Tyreek to the ringside <v Speaker 6>area and he attacks both Tyson and Tyrek of High Rise, <v Speaker 6>and then we see Joe Hendry. <v Speaker 2>He ducks out of. <v Speaker 6>A potential insurgury from Wesley and then Joe Hendry goes <v Speaker 6>for the standing ovation and one, two three, Joe Hendry <v Speaker 6>gets the victory against Wesley in six minutes and thirty seconds. <v Speaker 6>But the question you may ask is who is Mike Santana? <v Speaker 6>And I'm glad you asked, because one full week ago, <v Speaker 6>in the main event on an episode of td P Wrestling, <v Speaker 6>we had aj Francis also known as top Dollar. He <v Speaker 6>had a match, a street fight match against Mike Santana. <v Speaker 6>Mike Santana got the victory in that main event in <v Speaker 6>the street fight match. But the key thing I want <v Speaker 6>you to remember here is that Mike Santana gets on <v Speaker 6>the microphone and declares that he wants to be involved <v Speaker 6>in the TNA World Championship match at Slammer Versary, which <v Speaker 6>of course we have Henry and Trick Williams. And then <v Speaker 6>early on yesterday, yesterday afternoon, we see none other. Then <v Speaker 6>the Director of Authority missed the said Tita Morella, adding <v Speaker 6>Mike Santana to what is now a triple threat for <v Speaker 6>the TNA World Championship at tena Slammer Versary. But I <v Speaker 6>got to say say, as much as I believe in <v Speaker 6>Joe Hendry, I too believe in Mike Santana. This guy <v Speaker 6>is from the Bronx, New York. If you haven't seen <v Speaker 6>him wrestle, this guy has charisma. This guy he cuts <v Speaker 6>really good promos and he's very good in the ring, <v Speaker 6>very scrappy. He's kind of a street fighter, kind of <v Speaker 6>similar to Damian Priest. And of course he's from Puerto <v Speaker 6>Rican heritage. I waitness Mike Santana last year in September <v Speaker 6>at a House of Goring Wrestling show as he successfully <v Speaker 6>defended his championship. Also, this, my friend, is going to <v Speaker 6>be a very interesting triple threat of Mike Santana, Joe <v Speaker 6>Hendry and Trick Williams for the TENA World Championship that'll <v Speaker 6>be happening on Sunday, July twenty eth live from Long Island, <v Speaker 6>New York at the UBS Arena. Then we get a <v Speaker 6>backstage segment, and this backstage segment is an interview of <v Speaker 6>Kelly interviewing both Joe Hendry and Mike Santana, and Hendri <v Speaker 6>says to Mike, I appreciate you coming out and helping <v Speaker 6>me take our high Rise Santana interrupts Joe Hendry and says, <v Speaker 6>you and I are going to be throwing hands in <v Speaker 6>two and a half weeks at TNA Slammer Versary. But <v Speaker 6>the reality is that we are united when it comes <v Speaker 6>to defending TNA against guys like Trick Williams and high Rise. <v Speaker 6>Kelly quickly mentions that Ava Rain, the general manager of NXT, <v Speaker 6>schedule a tag team match of Joe Henry and Mike <v Speaker 6>Santana going up against Tyson and Tyree for the next <v Speaker 6>episode of NXT Hendry, Dan Tel Santana. We are completely different, <v Speaker 6>but we do have one thing in common, and that's <v Speaker 6>a quest to bring back the TNA World Championship back <v Speaker 6>to TNA. Santana acknowledges that Henri reps TNA to the max, <v Speaker 6>but he says, let me make myself perfectly clear. I'm <v Speaker 6>going to be the one to bring back the TNA <v Speaker 6>World Title back home to TNA, So get ready for <v Speaker 6>Slammer Versary. Joe Hendry close it off with this statement <v Speaker 6>to mister Mike Santana and says that job is fit <v Speaker 6>for one man, and you're looking at him, and that <v Speaker 6>is official. Folks. We have two things coming up on <v Speaker 6>the pipeline in this Joe Hendry storyline. Next week, we're <v Speaker 6>gonna have Joe Hendry and Mike Santana against Tyson and <v Speaker 6>Tyreek of High Rise. And then at the Great American Bash. <v Speaker 6>That's why, folks, the Great American Bash, which will be <v Speaker 6>happening on Saturday, July twelfth, We're gonna have a contract <v Speaker 6>signing for the TEENA World Championship and this will include <v Speaker 6>in this contract signing Trick Williams, Joe Hendry, and Mike Santana. <v Speaker 8>Always remember to believe, say his name, Always remember the <v Speaker 8>words that Joe Hendry says anytime, any place, at any show, <v Speaker 8>and most simporly, most simporly, always remember to do this. <v Speaker 9>Strong sight science, Welcome believing Jew Hendry Jukes. <v Speaker 6>Once again, this is your guy, DJ Couzmo, have a <v Speaker 6>blessed week, Big kai to one of the stays in <v Speaker 6>my friends. <v Speaker 2>Believe and peace Well, DJ, thank you, and Mike Santana. <v Speaker 2>There you go. There's a name that I betch a <v Speaker 2>lot of folks that watched just the main roster haven't <v Speaker 2>heard before. Good to hear what his characters about who <v Speaker 2>he you can equate him to. I believe he said <v Speaker 2>Damian Priest. That is something that you know a lot <v Speaker 2>of us obviously can and that I would say is <v Speaker 2>good to know because he potentially is a guy. He's <v Speaker 2>got a good look. I'm looking at him right now. <v Speaker 2>I could see him in WWE. I previewed a little <v Speaker 2>bit of his work as you were talking, just so <v Speaker 2>I could familiarize myself with who the hell I'm talking <v Speaker 2>looking at. But and as far as Trick Williams goes, <v Speaker 2>and Joe Hendry. I will say too that the idea <v Speaker 2>that we should be concerned about Joe Henry's lack of reaction, <v Speaker 2>I mean, I'm not. It was something I know I <v Speaker 2>brought up last week and it was just surprising to <v Speaker 2>hear because everything leading up to that point you had <v Speaker 2>seen just Joe Henry getting massive pop after massive pop, up, <v Speaker 2>a massive pop, and then you hear this and you're like, <v Speaker 2>oh boy, but I'm not too concerned about it. Everybody <v Speaker 2>has an off night or two, but good to hear <v Speaker 2>what's going on there. And you saw him at the <v Speaker 2>House of Horrors. You said, uh, with your first time <v Speaker 2>seeing uh seeing him and uh, I think this is <v Speaker 2>gonna be something to keep an eye on. With Trick <v Speaker 2>Williams and Joe Hendry in Santana. I appreciate the up <v Speaker 2>update because I know a lot of us don't watch it, <v Speaker 2>so this is how we're getting our updates. Keep an <v Speaker 2>eye on the star building process, guys. I know it's <v Speaker 2>not always the most interesting because everybody wants the big <v Speaker 2>stars and they want them now. But the big stars <v Speaker 2>got to start somewhere. Not everyone becomes one, but in <v Speaker 2>order to start on that journey, you gotta we gotta <v Speaker 2>watch them from something. So thank you, DJ, and hope <v Speaker 2>your fourth was good in your undisclosed location. Let's go <v Speaker 2>to a couple more and close out the show here. <v Speaker 2>So let's see who who this is? <v Speaker 10>He's there. Hey, I just wanted to comment on the <v Speaker 10>Sammie Zane match this weekend. I think he's gonna lose. <v Speaker 11>I think this is gonna give Sammy's Zain the turn <v Speaker 11>to a heel that he needs to have. But he <v Speaker 11>loses to Cross, and Cross and him are somehow going <v Speaker 11>to going forces. <v Speaker 10>So Sammy's gonna turning away. That's gonna make him a. <v Speaker 11>Real bad guy. <v Speaker 10>Also, I think because Cross has also gone off the <v Speaker 10>paster aj style, possibly that could be his next target. <v Speaker 11>I don't know. <v Speaker 10>I'd really like to see Cross pick up what Raven <v Speaker 10>did back in the day where he craids the Ravens <v Speaker 10>flock and basically beat up guy and the next thing <v Speaker 10>you know, they were following him like a cult leader. <v Speaker 10>So I think that would be a cool thing for Cross, <v Speaker 10>But I don't know. <v Speaker 5>We'll see. <v Speaker 10>That's all I got. <v Speaker 2>Hey, Wiss not a bad idea, but the question isn't Again, <v Speaker 2>there's two schools of thought. Here is WWE laying the <v Speaker 2>groundwork with some of the guys telling me you never <v Speaker 2>be champion, Oh, I'm looking at a future world champion, <v Speaker 2>and with I believe it was Dino from Scotland who said, hey, <v Speaker 2>this is a guy that we're setting up to win <v Speaker 2>the rumble. <v Speaker 1>It is. <v Speaker 2>If you read the te leaves that way, you wouldn't <v Speaker 2>be necessarily wrong. I mean, you could make the case <v Speaker 2>that they're laying groundwork for that right now. But as <v Speaker 2>you said, with carrying Cross lurking around, maybe poisoning the <v Speaker 2>mind of Sammy's ain, he could end up doing that, <v Speaker 2>and I would actually argue that's the better path right <v Speaker 2>now because it would help elevate carrying Cross. Sammy would <v Speaker 2>bring up carrying Cross, So there is that to be said, <v Speaker 2>and carrying Cross, I hope does something more significant other <v Speaker 2>than just trying to get in the head of Sammy's <v Speaker 2>a and ultimately it going nowhere. All of these you know, <v Speaker 2>poisoning thoughts that he's trying to get into the mind <v Speaker 2>of Sammy have really not manifested themselves anywhere or into <v Speaker 2>anything at this point. So yeah, I would have to <v Speaker 2>go that's the more interesting road unless they feel that <v Speaker 2>Sammy is being kind of groomed right now to win <v Speaker 2>a world championship. So tough call. This is a tough <v Speaker 2>call of what they're gonna do with Sammy. But Sammy's <v Speaker 2>a major player either way. Sammy's a major player moving <v Speaker 2>forward in the next four to six months, no question <v Speaker 2>about it. Thank you, WOS all right, one final voicemail <v Speaker 2>and we'll wrap it up. <v Speaker 5>It's tough for baltimorecelldis to just talk about like the <v Speaker 5>Woman's Division of FA and that's my major favorite scene <v Speaker 5>they have to talk about. But Jake car girl wedding <v Speaker 5>I don't like because I don't like that choice because <v Speaker 5>she's not good in the ring. Her match with uh <v Speaker 5>with Oscar suck, and we know how good I know <v Speaker 5>how good Oscar is in her with other people the <v Speaker 5>time did all that invested in Jake Carper at all? <v Speaker 5>And this thing with Naomi doesn't interesting. Their match with <v Speaker 5>Wrestle Media was was it good? <v Speaker 4>So? <v Speaker 5>And the idea of them doing and because now on <v Speaker 5>the stand is it's Jada Tiffany. That doesn't excite me <v Speaker 5>as a match. You know, I just feel like the story, <v Speaker 5>the storyline in the militarism. Mostly invested in is what <v Speaker 5>Becky is doing with both Lyra and Bailey. Eel has <v Speaker 5>been a nothing champion, which been which has been a <v Speaker 5>wake up of kind of still sex. I'm a big <v Speaker 5>heel Skystan, but he's not done anything that she won <v Speaker 5>the title back in March and doesn't has been nothing <v Speaker 5>coming out of WrestleMania, you know. There the whole thing <v Speaker 5>was was injury kind of gonna derail the thing, whether <v Speaker 5>it do with Roxanne or what Roxan is gonna be doing. <v Speaker 5>I mean, at this point, I would have had that. <v Speaker 5>I would have pivoted her to be included into the <v Speaker 5>women's icy titled picture. I would have done that, would <v Speaker 5>have had like Roxtan and Lyra feed with each other. <v Speaker 5>That'd be cool to see. Maybe at some point, David, <v Speaker 5>that will end up happening. Then whenever Becky turns baby face, <v Speaker 5>they could be Roxy and Becky because that was Leo' <v Speaker 5>feed people to see tree rox and Becky at some point. <v Speaker 5>So that doesn't excite me. But beyond that, Eo has <v Speaker 5>nothing to do right now. Rhea is kind of in <v Speaker 5>the background and doing nothing. Neither she's super over, but <v Speaker 5>nothing to do, and it's like this whole Live injury <v Speaker 5>and it's kind of derailed the plans with the Women's <v Speaker 5>di visit heading into Evolution and want I don't and <v Speaker 5>I don't know what we would do that evolution too, <v Speaker 5>because there's been no type of peas at all what <v Speaker 5>they're going to do with that show, and it's a <v Speaker 5>month away, so you know it's it's uh or I <v Speaker 5>guess this in a couple of weeks at this point <v Speaker 5>is Jesus almost over with But yeah, it's just it's <v Speaker 5>it's weird. I don't know what they plan on doing, <v Speaker 5>but I thought the show was buying for what that. <v Speaker 5>The Nine Champs was fire for what it was, but <v Speaker 5>I think the women's division in general, on both Raw <v Speaker 5>and Snackdown, it's just kind of not interesting of the <v Speaker 5>major champions that are involved. Because if I five Becky <v Speaker 5>super interesting as icy champion and Eale, that's the problem. <v Speaker 5>I thought that way when Becky was the NFC Wom's <v Speaker 5>champion too, when I when real champion a couple of <v Speaker 5>years ago, but think failed with this kind of stacks. <v Speaker 5>Like again, I do love EO, I don't know what <v Speaker 5>she does moving forward headed into summer Slam and evolution, <v Speaker 5>but that's with Wayne and See but I just dro <v Speaker 5>look Beck you's doing and west Lyra and Bailey, but <v Speaker 5>I don't know what they plan on dealing with EEL <v Speaker 5>moving forward. But that is it. Just real call. <v Speaker 1>Cole. <v Speaker 2>I'm glad you brought up the women's division. <v Speaker 5>Yeah. <v Speaker 2>I haven't spent a lot of time on it, and <v Speaker 2>that's not a good thing because the women have an <v Speaker 2>evolution pl E coming up just a couple of weeks. <v Speaker 2>It's a big deal, women only pl E, and there <v Speaker 2>has been little to no promotion. I don't feel excited <v Speaker 2>about it, and I should nowhere near the first excitement <v Speaker 2>that we felt when this happened. I forget when the <v Speaker 2>first evolution was three, four, five, six years ago, but <v Speaker 2>it was. I remember coming out of the show saying, Wow, <v Speaker 2>this is maybe one of the best pls of the <v Speaker 2>entire year. It was awesome. I didn't like how everyone <v Speaker 2>came out and bowed like it was a community theater <v Speaker 2>play at the end, with Stephanie in the middle. I <v Speaker 2>hated that. But other than that, you take that piece <v Speaker 2>out of like, hey, thanks for thanks for the enjoying <v Speaker 2>the performance. Everybody, what you just saw wasn't real. That's <v Speaker 2>essentially what I hated that. But the actual wrestling matches themselves, <v Speaker 2>awesome storylines, everything just clicked that night. This feels like <v Speaker 2>an afterthought. Now we're also in a environment now where <v Speaker 2>ww's cranking out ples on a bi weekly basis. I mean, <v Speaker 2>this is going to come and go boom. Then we <v Speaker 2>got the next one. We have a Saturday Night Man <v Speaker 2>event the night before, then we got the uh evolution <v Speaker 2>pl E boom now, then then we got Summer Slam, <v Speaker 2>and Evolution is going to be forgotten and it's like, okay, yeah, <v Speaker 2>we'll check it off the box that we did another evolution. Okay, <v Speaker 2>we'll see you guys in another five years. It's it <v Speaker 2>does not feel like this has been exactly a priority <v Speaker 2>for WWE. And I understand they have multiple priorities. They <v Speaker 2>can't have the evolution pl E be the end alb all, <v Speaker 2>but the fact that it's the second ever women's only <v Speaker 2>pl E yeah, it should be a feel, It should <v Speaker 2>feel bigger than it is. I'm not excited for it <v Speaker 2>because they've given me no reason to be excited for it. Okay, fine, <v Speaker 2>we've got Rhea and we've got EO. Great fine, we <v Speaker 2>know that's going to be a fun pl matchup. That <v Speaker 2>I mean, and I don't mean that in a pandering way. <v Speaker 2>That's going to be fun. But other than that, like <v Speaker 2>what you're doing, mhmm it it's not exciting. And sure <v Speaker 2>they've got two weeks, which in WWE land is a <v Speaker 2>pay per view cycle. Now, I mean, that's just how <v Speaker 2>that's the the time stamp that we have, you know, <v Speaker 2>the the uh the increment of time that we have <v Speaker 2>now between pls. So they've they're like, hey, we haven't <v Speaker 2>even started promoting for it yet. We haven't even you know, <v Speaker 2>we haven't entered Evolution season yet. We gotta wait till <v Speaker 2>we're two weeks out. So maybe this past, this coming <v Speaker 2>week and next week before the ple e the following week, <v Speaker 2>we get a decent card and all of a sudden <v Speaker 2>it's boomed. Okay, okay, great, okay, now we're starting to <v Speaker 2>really build towards it. It doesn't help, though, the Saturday <v Speaker 2>night main events right on its heels. That does not <v Speaker 2>help because then it doesn't have its own spotlight. It <v Speaker 2>has to share the spotlight with Saturday Night made event. <v Speaker 2>That's poor booking. I don't need another Saturday Night made event. <v Speaker 2>Why is there? I don't want more Saturday night man events. <v Speaker 2>I want Saturday Night main event to be like once <v Speaker 2>a year. It's like this random thing that pops up <v Speaker 2>and you're like, oh cool, they're doing like a Saturday <v Speaker 2>Ight main events. Quasi pl e, let's go. They're shoving <v Speaker 2>them in a schedule that already is jam impact full <v Speaker 2>of pls to the point of just it's too much, <v Speaker 2>and it takes away the spotlight from Evolution that should <v Speaker 2>have its own weekend. I don't like it. So I <v Speaker 2>don't care if it's headline my Goldberg and gun Through, <v Speaker 2>I don't care. No one's really interested in that match <v Speaker 2>from the perspective of it being a good match. We <v Speaker 2>know what it's going to be. But yeah, that's a <v Speaker 2>good point. I mean, Evolution has been really just an afterthought, <v Speaker 2>and I really don't I don't like that. But we'll <v Speaker 2>see what happens in this next these next couple of weeks. <v Speaker 2>Maybe they blow us away. I know there's talk about <v Speaker 2>stars coming out of the woodwork, and oh maybe Molly <v Speaker 2>Holly or you know, Trish Stratus and you know who <v Speaker 2>really has never left. I mean, so no one really <v Speaker 2>lose their minds over Trish's coming back or Tory Wilson <v Speaker 2>or you know, okay, fine, you bring back the stars <v Speaker 2>of yesteryear. Fine, Okay, Nicki Bello is gonna get her <v Speaker 2>two minutes of fame again. But you know, liv that <v Speaker 2>whole injury, it derailed a lot of things, more than <v Speaker 2>I think we realized. Live was more of an important <v Speaker 2>part of that women's division, and I think a lot <v Speaker 2>of us even realized until she's now out, gone and out, <v Speaker 2>and I'm I can't wait till she comes back. She <v Speaker 2>is just a centerpiece of the company, one of not <v Speaker 2>the only. But yes, Ria is quote unquote moreover, Riea <v Speaker 2>is still a bigger star. But Live is. <v Speaker 6>Boy. <v Speaker 2>You talk about a rocket shit being strapped to her <v Speaker 2>and deservingly so, and she has proven it and she <v Speaker 2>I mean, but the dominic story and taking over Evolution <v Speaker 2>and telling Ria I'm gonna take everything from you and <v Speaker 2>she did, and the revenge to her that she actually <v Speaker 2>completed and made it worthwhile. I mean, Live has just <v Speaker 2>been so fun week in and week out, and then <v Speaker 2>she gets hurt and you're like, oh crap, and w <v Speaker 2>W's like, oh crap, we got Evolution what do we do? <v Speaker 2>Who's you know, Who's NICKI bella gonna face just so, <v Speaker 2>this is a ple that I am sad to say <v Speaker 2>as of this moment, and that could change in two <v Speaker 2>weeks time. Two weeks from tonight, I could be like, man, <v Speaker 2>I can't wait for evolution this week, this weekend, but <v Speaker 2>as if it was tomorrow night, I'd be like, nah, <v Speaker 2>you know, and I don't want to feel that way. <v Speaker 2>So all right, everybody, thank you so much for joining <v Speaker 2>me here on this mailbag show. Again. I'm on vacation <v Speaker 2>this coming week, so times of publishing should be close <v Speaker 2>to the same as usual with our publishing of Raw <v Speaker 2>and SmackDown and so forth. But we'll see. But I'm <v Speaker 2>gonna be trying to record. I will not have this <v Speaker 2>microphone that's right in front of me here, so the <v Speaker 2>audio quality will be a little bit less but not horrible. <v Speaker 2>So keep that in mind as you hear my shows <v Speaker 2>over the next seven days with the Raw review on <v Speaker 2>Tuesday night that I'll be doing, and if I do <v Speaker 2>the mailbag on Friday night, It'll be in front of <v Speaker 2>a you know, not this microphone, but again a semi <v Speaker 2>quality microphone, So all right, thank you. <v Speaker 7>Everybody. <v Speaker 2>If you want to go add free Patreon dot com <v Speaker 2>slash ww podcast, or go to Apple and click on <v Speaker 2>the subscribe button and get add free experiences right there. <v Speaker 2>Happy forth, everybody, stay safe, we'll talk next time. <v Speaker 12>Thanks for listening to the WWE podcast.
