<v Speaker 1>Imagine moving into what seems like the perfect family home,
<v Speaker 1>only to find yourself face to face with an eerie
<v Speaker 1>presence when that whispers to your child and leaves chilling
<v Speaker 1>signs that you're not alone. My name is Edwin and
<v Speaker 1>here is Sean. It's true scary story.
<v Speaker 2>My name is Sean, and I've actually been on the
<v Speaker 2>show before. I told a story about when I experienced
<v Speaker 2>some paranormal type situations in my childhood homes. The experiences
<v Speaker 2>had dwindled off for most of my early adulthood until
<v Speaker 2>around twenty twenty July of twenty twenty, I lost my mother,
<v Speaker 2>shortly after the COVID pandemic had started to peek. My
<v Speaker 2>mother took a turn for the worst and passed away unexpectedly.
<v Speaker 2>Shortly after that, I found out that I was pregnant.
<v Speaker 2>This was not something that me or my boyfriend had planned.
<v Speaker 2>Was very unexpected, and I kind of took it as
<v Speaker 2>a gift kind of from my mom because we had
<v Speaker 2>been talking before she passed away about how excited she
<v Speaker 2>was at the idea of becoming a grandma, and I
<v Speaker 2>told her, you know, I don't even know if I
<v Speaker 2>can have kids, so we'll see what happens, and then
<v Speaker 2>shortly after she passed away, I found out I was pregnant.
<v Speaker 2>We were in a one bedroom apartment at this point,
<v Speaker 2>and we decided that it was time to try to
<v Speaker 2>find ourselves an actual house, you know, a space where
<v Speaker 2>we would be able to grow as a family, and
<v Speaker 2>I started house shopping. We were looking for houses for months,
<v Speaker 2>but then one came on the market that happened to
<v Speaker 2>be on the same street that my childhood home that
<v Speaker 2>I had originally experienced a lot of the paranormal activities
<v Speaker 2>was on.
<v Speaker 3>I decided to go take a look around.
<v Speaker 2>There wasn't anything particularly special about it, yet there was
<v Speaker 2>something that drew me to it. I can't explain what
<v Speaker 2>it was, but there was just an energy in the
<v Speaker 2>house that pulled me to decide to try to convince
<v Speaker 2>my husband that this is the house that we need
<v Speaker 2>to buy. He was not a fan, but when it
<v Speaker 2>came down to it, everything seemed good about it.
<v Speaker 3>There wasn't like a whole lot that had.
<v Speaker 2>To be done to the house before we moved in,
<v Speaker 2>so we decided to put down our offer and we
<v Speaker 2>got the house December of twenty twenty one. We moved
<v Speaker 2>into the home and that first night things got weird.
<v Speaker 2>I actually can't recall entirely what happened that night that
<v Speaker 2>happened to me, and I was in a state that
<v Speaker 2>I can't really explain. So I'm gonna let my husband
<v Speaker 2>Gordon take over for a moment.
<v Speaker 4>The first night in the house was a hectic one,
<v Speaker 4>unpacked everything as we could, and we were decided, let's
<v Speaker 4>just go to sleep. We're all exhausted, let's just go
<v Speaker 4>to sleep and relax. And we're laying there, we finally
<v Speaker 4>pass out.
<v Speaker 2>Felt like minutes.
<v Speaker 4>Early morning comes and I feel this jolt on my chest,
<v Speaker 4>like someone hit me. I look over to my right.
<v Speaker 4>My girlfriend at the time is right next to me.
<v Speaker 4>She looks funny. Her eyes are open, but she's not
<v Speaker 4>really saying anything. She's kind of just like looking at me,
<v Speaker 4>and I'm like, yeah, you okay, and she's not responding.
<v Speaker 4>It was strange for like a second or two, and
<v Speaker 4>I was just like trying to, you know, nudge her
<v Speaker 4>and stuff, and all of a sudden, she just starts
<v Speaker 4>speaking in like tongues, almost saying different names. I didn't recognize.
<v Speaker 4>She was like speaking multiple languages all at once. It
<v Speaker 4>was a very strange situation, and I'm thinking, Okay, maybe
<v Speaker 4>she's having like a stroke or something. I wasn't even sure,
<v Speaker 4>so I'm like, okay, so try to wake her up
<v Speaker 4>or something. So I'm just trying to wake her up,
<v Speaker 4>and she's just flapping her arms around and yelling and
<v Speaker 4>trying to get my attention even though I'm literally staring
<v Speaker 4>at her. It felt like she was almost possessed or something,
<v Speaker 4>like she was like being taken.
<v Speaker 2>Over by something.
<v Speaker 4>This is early in the morning too, Sun's barely coming up,
<v Speaker 4>so I'm trying to hold her up or physically had
<v Speaker 4>to hold her up with my shoulder in the bed
<v Speaker 4>to try to keep her up without laying down, trying
<v Speaker 4>to shove apple juice into her throat, and then finally,
<v Speaker 4>as I get probably a cup and a half down
<v Speaker 4>in her throat, she's finally kind of saying English words.
<v Speaker 4>The weirdest part is she had no recollection of anything.
<v Speaker 4>We had full different language conversations trying to decipher what
<v Speaker 4>we were trying to say to each other, but she
<v Speaker 4>was just only halfway there and her eyes were just
<v Speaker 4>glazed over. One of the weirdest situations I've ever experienced
<v Speaker 4>in my life.
<v Speaker 2>The weirdest part about it was that the only thing
<v Speaker 2>that I can recall was feeling like I was freezing
<v Speaker 2>and I was trying to tell Gordon, I'm so cold, Gordon,
<v Speaker 2>I'm so cold, but the words wouldn't come out, and
<v Speaker 2>that's all I remember from that experience. I finally kind
<v Speaker 2>of came to and he told me that that had
<v Speaker 2>all happened. I thought I was just having like a
<v Speaker 2>bad dream, and then from there I just proceeded to
<v Speaker 2>experience other weird events. One in particular that still sits
<v Speaker 2>very heavy with me was we had probably been in
<v Speaker 2>the house three or four months. At this point, I
<v Speaker 2>had moved my son into his room. He was around
<v Speaker 2>eight or nine months old, and that was really hard
<v Speaker 2>for me because when we were in the apartment, we
<v Speaker 2>had one of those sides sitting cribs and he was
<v Speaker 2>right there next to me, and the doctor was like, well,
<v Speaker 2>you need to get him in his own room and
<v Speaker 2>his own crib, and just being in this new environment
<v Speaker 2>it was difficult for me. So there were a lot
<v Speaker 2>of nights where I would wake up very easily from
<v Speaker 2>the slightest noise, the slightest creak in the floor, anything
<v Speaker 2>like that. And my husband is the complete opposite. He
<v Speaker 2>could sleep through an explosion. One night around the summertime,
<v Speaker 2>we were sleeping and I was woken up very abruptly
<v Speaker 2>by a large banging sound like something had fallen downstairs.
<v Speaker 2>I didn't get freaked out too much at first. I
<v Speaker 2>assume maybe one of my pets knocked something down. We
<v Speaker 2>have a couple of cats and had a dog at
<v Speaker 2>the time.
<v Speaker 3>But then.
<v Speaker 2>I heard footsteps coming up the stairs. They didn't sound
<v Speaker 2>like pause or anything like.
<v Speaker 3>They were like loud.
<v Speaker 2>Boots stomping on the creaky wood of my stairs. I'm
<v Speaker 2>sitting up in bed at this point, I'm trying to
<v Speaker 2>wake up Gordon. He's not reacting, and I'm like panicking
<v Speaker 2>because I'm thinking somebody broke into my house. Since we're
<v Speaker 2>in an older house, there's about an inch or so
<v Speaker 2>of space between the floor and our door, so you
<v Speaker 2>can see people's feet and things. I saw a pair
<v Speaker 2>of feet boots settle in front of the door, and
<v Speaker 2>I am fully panicked. At this point, I can't get
<v Speaker 2>my husband to wake up. He's snore and having a
<v Speaker 2>great time, and I'm like I'm about to die, And
<v Speaker 2>all of a sudden, as things seem to quiet down.
<v Speaker 2>My door starts to aggressively shake and shake, like somebody's
<v Speaker 2>trying to get in but they can't figure out how
<v Speaker 2>to turn the knob, and the door is slamming and
<v Speaker 2>slamming and slamming, And finally I'm like Gordon, he wakes
<v Speaker 2>up and it stops. I'm crying at this point, I
<v Speaker 2>am in tears, begging him to do something, that someone
<v Speaker 2>is in the house. Someone's gonna hurt us, someone's gonna
<v Speaker 2>hurt our baby. So he gets up in a stupor,
<v Speaker 2>goes and opens the door and there's nobody there. He
<v Speaker 2>goes and checks downstairs. Nothing has fallen, nothing's out of place.
<v Speaker 2>To this day, that still sits with me, because there
<v Speaker 2>are still times where I will wake up in the
<v Speaker 2>middle of the night and I can hear the door jiggling,
<v Speaker 2>not as violent as that first time, like somebody's trying
<v Speaker 2>to figure out how to get into my room. At first,
<v Speaker 2>when some of the footsteps started, I put it in
<v Speaker 2>my head that maybe it was my mother keeping an
<v Speaker 2>eye on us. She was always like a huge believer
<v Speaker 2>in the paranormal. She always believed that the ghosts or
<v Speaker 2>entity that we were dealing with in my childhood homes
<v Speaker 2>were my grandmother. She always kind of put it in
<v Speaker 2>my head that the people that we care about most
<v Speaker 2>stay with us for a while after they're gone. But
<v Speaker 2>the way that it behaved in that moment, it didn't
<v Speaker 2>feel like something safe. It didn't feel like something that
<v Speaker 2>was there for a good reason. As time went on,
<v Speaker 2>it seems that whatever this thing is that we're dealing
<v Speaker 2>with has taken a liking to my son, Alec. My
<v Speaker 2>son turned one. He was just learning how to talk,
<v Speaker 2>and he would just like giggle and kind of like
<v Speaker 2>whisper to himself in bed. We didn't think too much
<v Speaker 2>of it at first until one particular night. We have
<v Speaker 2>this video baby monitor that when a sound goes off,
<v Speaker 2>it'll turn the video on so that you can see
<v Speaker 2>into the room. We had it at the time face
<v Speaker 2>down right so that we could see him in his crib.
<v Speaker 2>This particular time, the monitor turned on and I just
<v Speaker 2>heard like a grumbling I couldn't figure out what it was.
<v Speaker 2>At first, I thought maybe it picked up like the
<v Speaker 2>air conditioner or something in his room, but it was
<v Speaker 2>kind of like a.
<v Speaker 3>Bra bra bra kind of sound.
<v Speaker 2>So I went to look at the monitor, and I
<v Speaker 2>see my son just sitting up in his crib talking
<v Speaker 2>to the wall.
<v Speaker 3>He's giggling and whispering.
<v Speaker 2>And having a babbly conversation with something in the wall.
<v Speaker 3>And at this point he wasn't.
<v Speaker 2>Old enough to really be talking talking, so I couldn't
<v Speaker 2>ask him about it. But this was something that continued
<v Speaker 2>to happen for the last two years, where the monitor
<v Speaker 2>would pop on and he's sitting up, sometimes asleep, sometimes
<v Speaker 2>not talking to someone or something. One particular night, when
<v Speaker 2>he was around two and a half, he was in
<v Speaker 2>a twin bed that we have in a frame that's
<v Speaker 2>like on the ground because we didn't want him to
<v Speaker 2>fall out of bed, and this night, the same kind
<v Speaker 2>of thing happened where the monitor turned on. There was
<v Speaker 2>a weird, scratchy, grumbly sound, and when I went to
<v Speaker 2>check Alec, my son was sitting up in the middle
<v Speaker 2>of the bed, just staring straight ahead, and I'm looking
<v Speaker 2>at him and I see the room is dark, and
<v Speaker 2>yet there was just in the corner of his room
<v Speaker 2>behind his bed there's just this giant black figure. And
<v Speaker 2>I'm thinking I'm seeing things at this point, and I'm
<v Speaker 2>getting ready to go up there I put one foot
<v Speaker 2>on the step and my son looks up at the
<v Speaker 2>camera and he goes, mommy. In that moment, the darkness
<v Speaker 2>disappeared and he just laid back down and went to sleep.
<v Speaker 2>But I was just frozen on the stairs, not sure
<v Speaker 2>if I actually saw what I saw. It's unsubtily because
<v Speaker 2>I don't know whatever this thing is is friendly, if
<v Speaker 2>it's got a motive, or why it seems to suddenly
<v Speaker 2>be attracted to my son. My son's obsessed with ghosts.
<v Speaker 2>I'm not sure where he even got the knowledge of ghosts.
<v Speaker 2>He asks my husband to play ghosts with him every night.
<v Speaker 2>He wants him to put like a sheet over him
<v Speaker 2>and go and like pretend to be a ghost. No
<v Speaker 2>idea where even learned that word. Just this morning, I
<v Speaker 2>went in to get him to go to daycare and
<v Speaker 2>he gets up and he goes, Mommy, guess what my
<v Speaker 2>friend did exercises with me after Daddy left, and I
<v Speaker 2>was like, who's your friend?
<v Speaker 3>And he just goes. I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>Part of me wants to think that maybe it is
<v Speaker 2>my mom watching over him and coming to see him,
<v Speaker 2>But the way that whatever this is treated me and
<v Speaker 2>treated my husband, it's hard to be confident.
<v Speaker 3>In something like that.
<v Speaker 2>There was a time recently Alec was in the living
<v Speaker 2>room playing. We were cleaning up the kitchen. I had
<v Speaker 2>just let the dogs out the back door. I turned
<v Speaker 2>my back to where we have like their water bowl,
<v Speaker 2>and when I turned back, there was a dead mouse
<v Speaker 2>lying next to the water bowl. And I come up
<v Speaker 2>to it and it's a mouse, and so I'm freaking out.
<v Speaker 2>I get my husband to come and look at it,
<v Speaker 2>and he's like, this is stiff.
<v Speaker 3>This has been dead for a while. It looked like
<v Speaker 3>something had spit it up. But my dogs were outside.
<v Speaker 2>The only ones that could have possibly like had a
<v Speaker 2>mouth big enough to transport this thing were not in
<v Speaker 2>the house. I had my husband throw it out. I
<v Speaker 2>go to open the back door to let the dogs
<v Speaker 2>back in, and there's another one in the exact same position,
<v Speaker 2>in the exact same state, right on the backstep of
<v Speaker 2>my house. We clean that one up. The next day,
<v Speaker 2>there's another one in the exact same spot. I can't
<v Speaker 2>explain that either. One time I was trying to get
<v Speaker 2>him out the door and it got to the point
<v Speaker 2>where he was getting very very upset, and I'm like.
<v Speaker 3>Dude, we've got to go. We've got to go.
<v Speaker 2>You have a doctor's appointment, like, we can't be late.
<v Speaker 2>And he got very upset and he looked at me
<v Speaker 2>and he went, mommy, no, And as he yelled no,
<v Speaker 2>my bathroom door slammed shut. I've heard a lot in
<v Speaker 2>the past about how ghosts will react to emotions of
<v Speaker 2>the people in the space that they are residing in.
<v Speaker 2>So I can't help but wonder if that was the
<v Speaker 2>ghost taking his side to try to get me to
<v Speaker 2>leave him alone. But a lot of the times, when
<v Speaker 2>there are arguments happening in the house, or my son
<v Speaker 2>is throwing a fit, that door will slam. I don't
<v Speaker 2>know how to explain it. In my previous story, I
<v Speaker 2>had talked about the house that I lived in that's
<v Speaker 2>on the same street, and at that time when my
<v Speaker 2>mom and my aunt were fighting, the lights all shut
<v Speaker 2>off and things were slamming, And so part of me
<v Speaker 2>feels like it could be the same thing, where it
<v Speaker 2>seems like whatever it is reacts when there's a lot
<v Speaker 2>of negativity going on in the house or negative emotions.
<v Speaker 2>It doesn't feel the same, if that makes sense. This
<v Speaker 2>whole street is just weird. There's been a lot of
<v Speaker 2>rumors between neighbors about seeing figures just standing across the
<v Speaker 2>street looking into windows.
<v Speaker 3>Whatever we're all seeing.
<v Speaker 2>Don't seem to be aggressive or threatening, but they're there.
<v Speaker 3>Watching.
<v Speaker 2>So I don't know if I made a mistake moving
<v Speaker 2>back here, moving back into this space where I had
<v Speaker 2>once dealt with this stuff before. But that's a genuine
<v Speaker 2>fear of mine, and a genuine fear that I have
<v Speaker 2>now accidentally passed. Whatever this is from me to my son.
