00:01:52
Speaker 3: Great read by you, Thank you, thank you, thank you.

00:01:55
Speaker 2: I've done a new thing. This is called growth. I read them before. I was going to say that you weren't reading anything before. Oh, yeah, we show the growth. Keep it down the line, boys say, listen, I read him before because I know how bad I am a reading at the top of that.

00:02:10
Speaker 3: How we you see old man Lebron out there still getting scrappy? Oh you're the Lebron fan. Yeah, I saw this little clip of him getting a steal late in the game. They dished it over to me at the game winning shot or to tie it up to going to ot. I don't even know if they ended up winning the game, but I'm like, oh, Lebron's still out there doing his thing.

00:02:28
Speaker 4: The Lakers and the Rockets played last night and the Rockets won one hundred and fifteen to ninety six. I believe is it over I think this is a different clip.

00:02:35
Speaker 2: It's not over going most of the results of the game. An individual performance still plays.

00:02:40
Speaker 4: He's still he's still averaging right now, like twenty eight points a game.

00:02:44
Speaker 3: Like eight assists.

00:02:45
Speaker 4: He is, dude, He's Ford or however he is forty one forty something.

00:02:48
Speaker 3: He threw it or throw an oop to Bronni too, Yeah, he was.

00:02:51
Speaker 4: He was boxing guys out for Bronnie to get him getting shots. So there's a clip out there where he's at the top of the key, gives to Browny and he fully backs a guy up and he's like.

00:02:59
Speaker 3: Shoot, No, he didn't say shoot his son. I mean.

00:03:05
Speaker 2: A little bit, dude.

00:03:07
Speaker 3: I'm still doing it though I know.

00:03:08
Speaker 2: Lebron has had a lot of like people like, you know, very polarizing people. Some people hate him, other people think he's a goat, like not a whole lot in between. It's really a hater love. But his interview he had I don't know if it was a week ago, when he's talking about playing basketball with his son and how how cool it is to have your son on the court. I think it's just it was just awesome from from a dad moment a perspective.

00:03:29
Speaker 3: In the NBA playoffs with your boy.

00:03:32
Speaker 2: With your boy, and it's like, could you imagine the dynamic. I mean, we'll get to Jeremy Clump and his son and how they played this past weekend, and that's gotta be an awesome down between like you're coaching your kid. But now Lebron who's essentially been a coach to his NBA players while also play in the end the NBA long enough and not even stuck around like dominated, like truly dominated. Whether you know, we always talk with the polarizingness, polarizings. The guy is people absolutely incredible.

00:03:56
Speaker 3: Is just the flopping, which I get. It's like sometimes it's it's so dramatic.

00:04:01
Speaker 2: Right, but that's just basketball players in general, dude, dramatic cats.

00:04:05
Speaker 3: Yeah, he really takes it to the next level.

00:04:08
Speaker 2: Oh what right? They want to He wants to show them. Look how much I'm fighting through for the fans.

00:04:14
Speaker 3: Yeah, Like he'd be in the hospital if he had on his body with Clump has on his body.

00:04:18
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, Clumb stuff boy, though not stuff is Jered Beman, but still a very very tough boy.

00:04:23
Speaker 3: I got a couple of big updates. We got a completely new setup right now in the bus. Shout out Jared Demon everybody who is involved in cleaning up the bus. Our table is not present. We're getting a new table. Yeah. We're looking at this awesome screen in front of us right now. Yeah, what a photo? What a photo?

00:04:42
Speaker 2: And also I mean just just the frame of lebron Man. Yeah, I know he's sitting on this specimen and we can look at a couple of things and nitpick about what's going on in this photo right here, but a specimen, Yeah, he's you. Of all people love to look at a good special.

00:04:55
Speaker 3: I love I love some good quads. Yeah, love a good tear drop the VMO.

00:05:00
Speaker 2: Yeah, when we first met and you told me that, I thought, oh, we'll never make it because of my tear drop quads.

00:05:04
Speaker 3: You get some tear drops. Yeah, they're just they're just starting sad question because you're wearing something right now, this right here. You know why you're wearing the a Michigan Man earring. Well.

00:05:17
Speaker 2: Our guests this week is none other than dani Or Loft let's give a rid applause for Dan Oh called his shot. Took a lot of heat in this draft coming up. He was right, everybody else was wrong. He had a great statement saying, if I'm if I'm wrong, the system is broken. This system is broken. Truly a bulletproof statement by him. But we had a bet to show off how wrong Dan can be sometimes. It was the National Championship Michigan versus Yukon. He went to Yukon and he has to wear a dangly Michigan earring. I can tell now it's been you know, it's been a while since the National Championship of Basketball took place. Dan is on TV every.

00:05:50
Speaker 3: Single people can They're gonna hear the entire breakdown because he is game in the system. He didn't get in the fine print.

00:05:58
Speaker 2: It's disgusting. Yeah, And it's just like you think about character, you think about integrity, all things that danren A Loofski says he stands for. He says he is a man of integrity. But now he loses this bet. He wants to kick the can down the road to the middle of summer and the dead of sports.

00:06:11
Speaker 3: Yeah, no, you're the one wearing the earring.

00:06:13
Speaker 2: Well, I'm just showing it off because I did. I did kind of kicked off the bet like on his behalf. I exactly, I did go look up earrings for Michigan and like, apparently there's not a lot of clip ons going on. So our boy, Ryan Nolan, he went out went to Etsy, found some earrings we had we have by the way, there's not the only one we have. I think three or four sets we're gonna send him. You can wear a different one every single day. Yeah, no your shout outs to Etsy, phenomenal website. Phenomenal website.

00:06:36
Speaker 3: No for shoutouts.

00:06:37
Speaker 2: They had the piercing. Nolan's like, can you turn those into clip ons for me? They said, no problem, And here we are right here.

00:06:42
Speaker 3: Look at that.

00:06:43
Speaker 2: It's not even it's not even plugged in. And that's all he has in the old ear So there that's what we have.

00:06:48
Speaker 3: He's he found a good loophole in the in the in the contract. Yeah.

00:06:51
Speaker 2: And then Dan's got some good ears, you know what I'm saying. He's got some good ears to show off some earrings, So we'll take that for sure. But boys, hey, let's get a it's got a ride of a plus for all the kids that were drafted this past weekend.

00:07:02
Speaker 3: Yea, those draft week dreams came true.

00:07:07
Speaker 2: Dreams came true. We got some amazing callbacks. We'll get into the draft experience in just a little bit.

00:07:12
Speaker 3: Yeah, so here we go. We got different callbacks last week. We had on coach head coach Mario Crysta Ball Miami Hurricane, head coach of the Miami Hurricanes. You want to check that out. He was phenomenal. Uh, But we got one here from Johnny Lagoon on YouTube. Hey, fellas, been in Miami fan since you guys have been in your daddy's nutsat Okay, thanks for checking out Miami subscribed. Love seeing all the access to the school. So great reminder right now, if you are tuned in, whether you're on Spotify, Apple, YouTube, wherever you get your podcasts, make sure you're subscribed to the Boys and welcome aboard. If you're a Danny O fan and you it's your first time listening to Bus with the Boys, give a little subscribe, all right, and you can go check back.

00:07:47
Speaker 2: There's a whole roleodics things you can go check. Yeah, maybe you don't know too much about Miami. You want to know a little bit more about Miami. Guess what we had that opportunity for you.

00:07:53
Speaker 3: Yeah, the vlog is incredible. The interview with Crystal Ball is incredible. Go check all of it out. Yeah, and we did Texas Tech Notre Dame. Yep, all of our Spring tour has been done. All the head.

00:08:02
Speaker 2: Coaches, all the Spring tour is done. Makes me sad. It's my favorite time of year. Spring tour is my favorite time of year. We might have a couple of things cooked up. I don't want to say anything else, don't say too much. A couple of things might be cooked up right now. My favorite part of the Mario Crysple episode is him trying to get me a fake idea to become a freshman. I mean, just you get that kind of compliment after what I had to go through at Notre Dame where somebody got offered and I didn't get offered. So it was a nice comeback for me. But it's great in the vlog. Check it in the blog. This one comes from Nick Giles fifty one forty nine six Willie one shelf as someone who is also afraid of heights but has also gone skydiving. Your logic is one thousand percent correct. Being in a plane and jumping out is so much different than looking down from thirty plus feet. That callback is brought to you by CTE. There's no way that makes sense.

00:08:46
Speaker 3: Look that's his truth, and I'm glad that my shirt. It's something that I think about. So again, we were talking about the volog and everything else last week in the Miami vlog, We're on a ten meter diving board like the Olympic diving board for the for the diving team, and I was scared and I struggled to jump off. You thank you. You were my You were my little duck in the Big Slide children's book I'm a Little Pup. You were a little duck. You helped come to the top with me. You made me feel brave, and you helped me jump off by counting to three. But I was up there for a good four minutes, scared to jump off the ten meter diving board.

00:09:17
Speaker 5: Right thought it was seven minutes of you up there.

00:09:20
Speaker 3: Okay seven. I remember when I was looking at the GoPro that ilso and I was like, I've been up here four minutes. And maybe that was the time where you're like, I'm gonna come up there with.

00:09:30
Speaker 2: You, because I did want to hit a couple, you know, I want to get a couple for me with this, With the jumping off a high dive thing, it's like is the water deep en off? The answers yes, it's like I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be alright.

00:09:40
Speaker 3: Yeah, And then the question came up like what I do or maybe I just brought the question up on doing skydiving or jumping off of a high dive. I feel like I would skydive more than jumping off somewhere really high because again, you're, however, many thousands of feet in the air. I think it would make a little bit more sense until the parachute got pulled. But by that time you're already up there, you've already living in your fears.

00:10:01
Speaker 2: For me, it's a floating down thing. It's when you're so high up in the air and you're like, yeah, these strings are just holding this mass me in the air for that long as I slowly flow down. That's like, hey, left your legs up down.

00:10:12
Speaker 3: No matter what, you're not making the decision, the conscious decision of okay, I'm about to do it, I'm about to jump. I already see the ground no matter what, it's getting pulled and you're just in the air at that point. Yeah, and somebody's wishing when you're your heat, it's gonna be okay, stay brave, you're brave, You're strong.

00:10:26
Speaker 2: Here's a question for people that have gone skydiving. When you do a high jump or a cliff diving or anything like that, you get that tummy up thing right a roller coaster, it's like, ooh, what a feeling. That's the fun feeling. Yeah, we're kind of all chasing. At what point does that end when you're skydiving? Yeah, because I feel like there's no way.

00:10:42
Speaker 3: It just keeps going. Eventually.

00:10:43
Speaker 2: I think your body's like, all right, your body gets used to flying through the air. Because on the wait nine point eight two meter for a second square.

00:10:50
Speaker 3: On the ten meter dive, my belly wasn't having a come to moment, right, But that's only the sphere.

00:10:55
Speaker 2: Yeah, just fear. Imagine that it was double triple and then all of a sudden you're five thousand feet in the air.

00:11:00
Speaker 6: I think you just get comfortable, right, it becomes your reality. I would assume, right, you just get you that fast. No, I'm saying like after you're up there and you're floating for a little bit then and say, all right, well I'm up here, it's all good. Yeah, Like it's like I feel like your reality is now. I'm in the air and you'm going to have a plane.

00:11:16
Speaker 3: Like there's so much time in so much space, and you just can't see the tangible things on the ground, like I'm gonna die here. That makes en?

00:11:24
Speaker 2: That makes sense.

00:11:24
Speaker 3: Depends Yeah, depends on your jumping partner too.

00:11:28
Speaker 7: If the guy you're strapped to is just an absolute vibe, it could.

00:11:32
Speaker 3: Be telling yourself what she wants on the other side of the far.

00:11:35
Speaker 2: Dude, just gon just crushed from finding Nemo the Turtle, Like, imagine that your ringer sky and every night that kind of attitude. He's just in your ear. We're crushing it, Dude, You're like, yeah, we got all crushing it, are we? That's kind of how I want my skydiver to be. That's all.

00:11:50
Speaker 3: We have a callback here from Courson. This is on Spotify again. If you listen on Spotify, you can leave comments on the Spotify episode Where the fuck is Shane Gillis? Yeah, this is six days ago because Shane came on the bus. We post about Shane being on the bus. People want to know where the focus Shane. The dogs are barking.

00:12:05
Speaker 2: Yeah, well keep the dogs barking. You got one more week ahead of you, Yeah, one more week.

00:12:09
Speaker 3: I know that's going to be a leadown for the dogs that are tuned in right now.

00:12:11
Speaker 2: Now I will give the viewer some inside ball. Obviously, the idea was to have Shane out this week. We got Danie Rolofsky right before the draft because of all the draft talk, how relevant it all is, his Ty Simpson call shot that we now know worked out for him. We thought this would be better to have Danier Lofsky on this week because of the relevant time frame. That's great, Shane will live on forever, right. A lot of things we talked about with Danny. Oh, it's so in this past week, these last seven days. So we want to get this out.

00:12:36
Speaker 3: To the fans in the the ear ring that's on, Like there was a bet that happened that took place. It was good that we had to. We had to talk about it for people. So that's a hey, clean breakdown, clean breakdown, clean breakdown. We have another call back from Peyton ha Underscore ten also via via Spotify as well, So if you want to comment on Spotify, looks like we're looking at those two.

00:12:58
Speaker 2: Huh. Sure it goes to yeah, come on now, come on, babe, y'all getting too loose with the clean takes. Can't be a clean take. If everything is a clean take, clean tank, that's.

00:13:10
Speaker 3: A clean tude.

00:13:10
Speaker 2: That's Chemi's datchal fruits, clean tank, clean clean, be a clean take, and that is, unfortunately another point. You're trying to say, Peyton Hall, but that's a clean take, Peyton Haw. I'm just sounding it out, brother, like you know me, I'm I'm I'm hooked on phonics over here in the brain. You know what I'm saying. I'm annunciation here those complex words in front of me office on scrambled eggs.

00:13:33
Speaker 3: We do have tear talk later in the episode. However, I do feel like it'd be good to read this tear talk from Kyle Riley seven because it was he's leaving this comment last week and this is hashtag tear talk. So again the questions that we we answer, all you have to do is leap hashtag tear talk. We answer them with Danny Oh, those will be in that interview. But this is a tear talk that I thought would be relevant for right now hashtag tear talk. This from Kyle Riley seven on YouTube. When you hear your name come out of the mouth of your favorite podcast so that you've been listening to since the gravel parking lot days original Tier one give you all free shoutouts all the time. Truly fell out of my chair. Love you guys, big hugs, tiny kisses, Go bluey, shut out cow. That was nice.

00:14:14
Speaker 2: That was super nice and also called go Blue, Go Blue. Nothing better than a Tier one family finally being heard, right. Yeah, we start twenty twenty six, Year of the Audience. We're letting the audience king to be a part of it.

00:14:25
Speaker 3: It's just nice on the Year of the Audience. You did open a god pack on your live stream last night.

00:14:30
Speaker 2: Dude, tell me what a god pack is.

00:14:32
Speaker 3: A god pack like the pack of all packs. Like before you open this pack, you hit the Father's son in the Holy e Spirit and you put out your hands like you even commuter the whole thing.

00:14:43
Speaker 2: Yeap bread.

00:14:44
Speaker 3: Yeah.

00:14:44
Speaker 2: Yeah, So here is the deal. For those of you that don't know. I've been doing streams every Sunday, seven pm Central Time. As I've been doing these streams, I've been ripping packs, Pokemon cards and NFL cards as well. Along the lines, like a company called Courtyard goes. We like what you're doing. How do we I'm a part of it because we know you're giving away a lot of cards. Why not give away some stuff on our plant. But we got not only cards but basically everything. Basically go to rip open and if you speaking of callbacks, you want to go back to the last intro we did about Mario Crystoball. There's really no end game. There's there's no dead end to what Courtyard can be. Eventually, we're selling selling land in Arkansas. We came up with it last week. In real estate's going to be on the append you can rip essentially anything. It's really just stepped them to diversify their portfolio. So what we do on these live streams is we choose three fans when they drop their username in the comments of the posts that I make on my personal page, we give them five hundred dollars rips three opportunities. And it's kind of this game, it's a little bit of a it's a thrill shopping situation where hey, I'm gonna rip this pack for you. Might be more than five hundred, it might be less than five hundred, but you get three cheame.

00:15:45
Speaker 3: When Taylor says more than five hundred or less than five hundred, there's a worth the pack is worth five hundred. You could rip something like last night you ripped one where somebody got like a thousand dollars.

00:15:55
Speaker 2: Twelve hundred dollars, yet clump twelve hundred dollars pack eleven hundred. Some kid got a eleven hundred dollars card. The value of that car was eleven hundred dollars cost them zero dollars. I think overall we ripped fifteen hundred dollars worth of packs, or two thousand dollars to the packs, and people got the value of over I think three thousand dollars in total of their cards.

00:16:15
Speaker 3: So when they get to that moment pack spans as does this awesome grand reveal, grand reveal, they see that they're five hundred dollars pack that they just got to rip for free with you. Now this card or whatever it is sitting in front of him is worth a thousand dollars.

00:16:29
Speaker 2: Yes, then what then they I will send them that card, so I can literally transfer in real time, like, oh, shrm, just won a card. I can put in Shirm's use your name. It transfers right to him. He refreshes his profile. It's now in his bank. He can do multiple things with it. He can send to somebody else, he can send it to his house, so he has it. The Courtyard even has a marketplace. You're like, I like this, but I like the money better. I'm gonna put this on the marketplace where somebody can buy. And I know somebody who's just been a pack connoissewer as of recently, Jared Beeman.

00:16:59
Speaker 8: I didn't know you could say. I listed it for sale and I was like, no one, they'll pick this up. Maybe it'll sit that. It sold within like twenty four hours for more than it was worth. I was like, let me just mark this up.

00:17:08
Speaker 3: Sold.

00:17:08
Speaker 8: Kalyn Caitlyn Clark.

00:17:10
Speaker 2: Madson cash made some cash, made some cash just sitting in the old Courtyard bank right there. So, like we said, opportunities an endlest But let's get back to the real thing we were talking about, which is the God pack. So Pokemon, we all know it as kids, we remember the chars are the Blastoys, the Venus or all those things. Once it got past the one fifty one, your boy kind of bowed out of the race of trying to catch them all. I was all about at one fifty one, and then I kind of bowed out. A couple of months ago I started to get back into it. The pack I started a rip was a pack called Ascended Heroes. Now Sendate Heroes is fantastic. They say the Gangar is the number one hit you can get in it. But now everyone's kind of starting to realize that this, this forced Pikachu is the hit. So the Gangar raw is twelve hundred dollars Carter's worth twelve hundred dollars raw, the Pikachu is like twenty, like two thousand raw, and in a PSA ten Your Boils, by the way, is like close to five thousand dollars. Now, so I've been trying to rip this damn Pikachu forever now with the Senate hero Is damage, Yeah you got that's a battle that's catch Pikachu.

00:18:17
Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.

00:18:18
Speaker 2: So the Sendate Heroes usually you flip these packs around and the last three cards is where you're hitting to be a god pack is is when you turn the pack around and it's already a hit.

00:18:28
Speaker 3: S I R.

00:18:28
Speaker 2: Special Illustration rare is the hit you want. So it's gonna be just a full art view like you saw with that Pikachu, but of different characters.

00:18:36
Speaker 3: I turned this pack.

00:18:37
Speaker 2: Around, and if the first card is a s I R, you're in your You're in You're in god packed territory. You check one more, it's a full s ir.

00:18:46
Speaker 3: So when you get this god pack, you don't know you have a god pack in your hands until you see the bag, until you see like the first card.

00:18:52
Speaker 2: The first card. Once you see the full card and it's an s I R. You're like, oh my, this is this is so you know that every single card in this pack is going to be of a lot of times they're bulk the throwaways, and hopefully there's one card in there that has some sort of value to it. So there's like what nine ten cards in a pack. Every single card had value to it, and dude, when you pulled it. I've seen three godpacks pulled one. I was at Nash Cards. Some kid pulled it and got the chew and I'm literally sitting there because my wife said, don't buy those ones. There's not big hits in those ones. Turns out Kid bought one. That's what The Godpack was all good. We don't blame Tailing for that. We just learned from our experiences. The next one was last week, Tailor hits a godpack. Bro Tailor hit her own godpack, but no Chew. So it was like, that's awesome, But we've been chasing this Chew for so long. When I hit this godpack, dude, truly, I thought that Chew would be in there, and I thought my journey of Assented Heroes would finally be over because I'm getting to the point where I'm like, I want to rip something different, but now it's personal. It's pride.

00:19:46
Speaker 3: Yeah, I keep hitting. You got to get the chew.

00:19:48
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I got to get the Chew. No Chew, but we did get the gang guard. Talk about a heart rate boost, all right, talk about endorphins city, Yeah, it was awesome.

00:19:57
Speaker 3: Sod the god Pack.

00:19:59
Speaker 2: Yes.

00:20:00
Speaker 3: The only way to get a god Pack is by getting some Ascended Heroes packs.

00:20:05
Speaker 2: I think every set has a Godpack. The Ascended Heroes is the only god pack up.

00:20:10
Speaker 3: And then when you open this whatever, the pack is and there's an si R card starting off. That's when you know I'm on the steps, You're in Godpack territory. Pearly gates are in front of me, Pearly gates are in front of you.

00:20:20
Speaker 2: It is truly, it's a one in a million chance. Okay, it's a one in a million chance. And I've been able to see.

00:20:26
Speaker 3: Three of them. I've been able to see it.

00:20:29
Speaker 2: And they do also doing football stop chrome. They have god packs. Everything kind of has a godeback. Then there's the Demi god Pack. We don't have to get into all that today. We don't forget into all of that today. But clean breakdown, Clay breakdown, clean breakdown, Clean. Kevin's at your foods. Yeah, there's a lot of protein in that breakdown, right, And dude, I will give a shout to the fans. Every week, more and more people are joining, more and more people are about it, spamming the chat, having fun. So we're building a nice little community out there. I see this, I see a little runway in front of us. Let's just take off and take it.

00:21:00
Speaker 3: Speaking of community, about the community that feels like they're celebrating that. Diego Pavia didn't get drafted.

00:21:07
Speaker 2: I say, shame on them. I don't I want no part of that community. Yeah, yeah, where I was surprised.

00:21:14
Speaker 4: Oh, I mean, what were you all expecting him to go time out?

00:21:20
Speaker 3: Nobody was expecting that, right, all right. I think I've been on here a couple of times saying that, uh, I think he is going to be a low round or an undrafted cat. The speculation that he was going to be a high round guy or anything like that, Like, I never bought into it. However, I was surprised to see that all it was was a rookie mini camp tryout for people that don't do not know what that means. So I was undrafted. So when you're undrafted, you get a phone call right after the draft, right like they're rounding out their ninety man roster. They have vets that are already there. They've made acquisitions and free agency in the off season, they've traded, now, they've drafted their guys. They're trying to round out a ninety man roster. So any holes in that ninety man roster, they pick up the phone and to fill it, start donald with preferred undrafted free agents. So what a preferred undrafted free agent is is essentially like for me, after draft, I did not get drafted, teams called, I want to say it was the Chicago Bears, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Washington Redskins, and they were offering deals for me to be an undrafted free agent. I get to pick where I go. They said, they gave me like a five thousand dollars signing bonus. My agent calls me, I don't even know what's going on, I don't know who I'm going to be with, and he just says, congratulations, you're a Washington Redskin. So I essentially signed a contract to be on that ninety man roster for a little five thousand dollars signing bonus. Now you have rookie mini camps this week. All the draft picks, all the undrafted preferred free agents that got picked up on a team, they are now attending this rookie mini camp. So in your brain, there's about if a team just only has seven draft picks and let's just say three undrafted free agents, that's ten guys that's going to rookie mini caamp. To have practice and to fill out this entire camp situation, you need a field like an entire team, so you can see your draft picks work, you can see your undrafted guys work, and you can see these rookie mini camp tryout guys work as well. So a bunch of offers go out to all the rest of the guys who didn't get an undrafted contract. They asked him if they want to do a rookie mini camp tryout. They accept, They feel this entire team to do rookie mini camp this week. For I want to say, it's three days, right, and where Diego Pavia landed was he didn't obviously he went undrafted, he didn't get a preferred free agent contract, which was surprising to me. And now he's at the spot. It's with the Ravens, right, He's doing a rookie mini camp tryout this week with the Ravens.

00:23:35
Speaker 2: And then someone posted here, Karen Howell, she said root of the Ravens to invite Diego Pavia to their mini camp instead of their regular six camp. Okay, that's a nasty comment, cans comment. That's a nasty comment because he's because he's not very tall, and it's not as funny as how you laugh Jack Ready funny. It is funny that's not as funny as how you laugh.

00:23:54
Speaker 4: I was an hour ago on Twitter. So that's fresh on the bird.

00:23:57
Speaker 3: Oh wow, that's fresh, good tweet, strong tweet clean.

00:24:04
Speaker 7: That's not a clean test take.

00:24:09
Speaker 2: Kevin's Natural food feels people of all shapes and sizes. That's what Kevin's Natural Foods does. That's not a clean take. That's not a clue.

00:24:16
Speaker 3: Were monny take? Were you surprised that it just got a it was just a mini camp tryout?

00:24:21
Speaker 2: Yeah, I was very surprised. Is just a mini camp trial. I thought that the very at the most, how bad it would be for Diego. It would be just an undrafted undrafted free agent, preferred undrafted.

00:24:32
Speaker 3: Free maybe a small market. When I say small market, you might be thinking anywhere from twenty five hundred to twenty thousand dollars signing bonus to go sign with the team to kind of round out their depth.

00:24:41
Speaker 2: Were now he's basically just he's going you're paying your own airfare to get there type of thing. When it comes to where he's positioned himself out with the rookie mini camp that they know was so surprising to me as I started to listen to all these people these draft experts talking about the draft and where it's heavy, because there's a lot of drafts like hey, first runs a little light, but the meat and potatoes, like the third to the sixth round, a lot of strong candidates in there. For the value this draft. People were saying, the top fifty picks is kind of where everything's at. And then after that, it's kind of like, you know, because of anil era, because of the COVID, all these kids are now older, the draft isn't as strong as it needs to be on the back half. So a lot of a lot of teams are a lot of things that I saw are people saying after the fifth round, everyone was kind of like, we're ready to go home, Like we don't really need more guys. We're kind of just picking because we're in the slot to pick right now. That's what it surprising me that a guy like Diego Pavia, who is regardless of people want to say like that's a football player, wrestler, brain, football player body. I understand the reason why people don't take them, and that's because of all the off the field stuff. You see the Heisman thing take place. After the Heisman, there's a bottle fuck whoever, whatever it is, caves that take place. And I get that from a pr perspective, especially in the football world of the NFL world, you want to limit distractions as much as possible. I think that's what happened to Shedr Sanders going in the fifth round last year. I think from his talent standpoint, he deserved to be in that fifth to seventh round because you got a guy that inevitably it can be an emergency quarterback for you, but he's gonna find his way in the special teams category. Shorter, smaller, but he's gritty, he's willing to lower shoulder, and the kid, regardless of what you want to say about him off the field, willing to learn as well, and loves ball. Like this might become a spoiler for a lot of people, Not every football player in the NFL loves football. They love the paycheck, they love it comes with it. But it's a little more you see it. You don't see it as much than when you do see this. Guys love playing the game. He loves playing the game of football. What I see this is now is the same position we said in this time last year with Shadus where hey, you got your foot in the door. It's not the exact foot you want to get in the door or how you wanted to get in, But now it's an opportunity to have a chip on the shoulder and show everybody I can do X, Y and Z. And if you love the game as much as I think you love the game, you'll find your way somewhere, whether it's practice squad for a couple of years, find yourself in preseason. So huge opportunity for growth in Diego Pavia is what I would say.

00:26:58
Speaker 3: Yeah, did you say bad route for him to look at a UFL CFL option and like really not at all as of right now, I would say yes, as of right now. Bad you say bad option as of right now, as of right now, it's a bad op yea yeah, not like jumping in. I'm not gonna do rookie Meunicamp trout. I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go in the CFL or the UFL.

00:27:16
Speaker 2: Right because the UFL, CFL guys, everybody's North Stars of the NFL. Everybody, some guys get the CFL. I had a teammate of mine at Michigan, Craig Row ri Ip Craig Row. He was with the Panthers for a little bit, and then he went to the CFL for the play for the BC Lions. I get on the phone with him, like two three years into it, and he's like, Dude, I love this. I kind of understand where my strengths and weaknesses lie, and they kind of they perform much better here. I can support my family. I'm not bounce around all over the place. I love it here. So some guys find a home there and they love it. But for a lot of these guys, ninety nine percent of guys, it's like, hey, this is a stepping stone to get to the NFL. So if there's a there's a crack in a door for you, even if it is a hey, rookie miniicamp tryout situation, you're gonna take every op you can possibly get to make it into the NFL.

00:27:59
Speaker 3: Yeah. The thing with Diego is just keeping your head down and not creating any fodder that would deter you from an NFL team looking at you to bring you in, because that's the game. It seems like the grittiness the kid believes in himself, he works hard. If he does all that stuff and keeps his head down and not make any like headlines or comments or things like that. Like again for us, like I like Diego, it's for us, it's like entertaining. You kind of love Diego for who he is all that stuff, but now you get a look inside of like how that stuff can hurt, can hurt you in the in the grand scheme of things. Because we're not in the front office, right we can be like, Yo, Diego's a worker. I love that this dude loves football all the stuff that you've seen when he did the Gruden camp and everything else. Like, Diego's a football player. But it's gonna be up to him now to try to figure out, you know, what is next, what his route is going to be, now that he's gotten the Rookie Mini Camp try out where there's UFL or CFL. Dude, I was with a cat again. This the rookie Mini camp tryout is always interesting. Like when I was in my rookie Mini camp, we had gotten done with ours and I was a locker next to somebody I forget his name, and he's like, I'm about to get on a plane and go to Green Bay because I got another Rookie Mini Camp try out tomorrow to where guys are just they're on the they're hitting the road, on the hunt, going to as many rookie Mini camp trials as possible because some guys, like I've seen a Keen Davis was one. He was somebody who was a safety and he was phenomenal on special teams and he made a name for himself at the Rookie Mini Camp tryout because he could, he was he looked the part. He could run like a deer and uh, create enough chaos at Rookie Minicamp to where they signed him while he was there to be like, hey, sign a rookie contract with this, you're going to join the ninety man roster to try and make the team. And he ended up making the team through special teams.

00:29:42
Speaker 2: I know you look at the like just the team he was able to go to too. Clearly hardball is not the Ravens anymore, but the culture, the toughness and then who's playing quarterby dare Lamar Jackson kind of that zone read type of thing. It is a good fit for Diego. If he's able to get his foot the door post Rookie Mini Camp. Now then it's up to him, like can you stay, you know, away from the people that have kind of put you in the position to be yes man for you when you want to go to the bars and go around. Listen, guys like the boost, guys like to have a lot of fun. But NFL stands for not for long for a reason, like you had to realize that you've been humbled. Now let's get after it because because this team he's at now toughness.

00:30:18
Speaker 3: Great.

00:30:18
Speaker 2: You got Lamar Jackson, who is a you know, a dual threat quarterback. You are also a dual threat quarterback. You could find yourself a home there. You could find yourself in a position. So would you find yourself in that punt team, that personal protector. Now we're running a bunch of fakes throughout the year. I mean, Taysom was it? Tatum Taysom Hill arguably the greatest athlete of all time? Arguably arguably that's a clean take. That's a clean take.

00:30:42
Speaker 3: Yeah, where you're.

00:30:43
Speaker 2: Gonna find somebody they can play every position. I was ready to you saw that. Hey, I'm ready to swing on the boy right now for days of melt like you gotta you gotta like if I'm Diego Pavia, I'm getting a poster of the Mormon Missile. I'm putting it up in my locker and I'm like, this is my God.

00:30:59
Speaker 3: Now that's what you got to do. Clean debate, clean debate.

00:31:02
Speaker 2: Nah, I'm just saying, Mormon missile, Diego po, if.

00:31:06
Speaker 3: He's able to do more than just play quarterback, that would obviously help him a lot. Yeah, because that's not your game now. Yeah. Yeah, it's just dude, it's a It's always so interesting because then you got a cat. What's what's the dude from Nigeria we got drafted, hasn't played any football? Run like the win massive cat? Who are Bernard? He's drafted? Then you got guys. You know, people will be like, well, how about these people that had off the field issues or this, but what it didn't amount to what Diego was doing. It's just like, dude, it shows that the tangible stuff that NFL teams look for, like, Okay, this guy would be worth the risk because his ceiling is extremely high. Whereas Diego. Where I feel bad is it did feel like he was under the understanding that he wouldn't like fall out of the second day or not get drafted. It's like, well that that just sucks.

00:31:50
Speaker 2: I think the biggest one of the issues we could work on is like, we want to be confident in ourselves, but we also have we need somebody around us to have a little more reality.

00:31:57
Speaker 3: Yeah, a little bit more awareness, a.

00:31:59
Speaker 2: Little more awareness. Like Diego, I'm pretty sure when he was with us, and I'm gonna be first overall or I'm going in the first round. It's like, I love your head's at keep that forever, but you also need somebody behind you going hey, just so you know, like, who's your agent?

00:32:14
Speaker 3: I don't think he has an agent. He has an agent. That is that it's been, it's been all that stuff you see on the internet.

00:32:21
Speaker 9: Right, Why do you say that he did not That was cut up wrong? Oh okay, yeah he said he did not have an NIL agent. But he does have an NFL agent. And I'm going to mess up his name right now, but it's Malky something UFC guy, you know, Malkey probably.

00:32:34
Speaker 3: Probably Diego's, Like, yeah, it doesn't have an NIL agent because NIL agents take like anywhere between like ten and twenty percent, which is an NFL agent? Who that he he does have an NFL agent. They do all your contracting at three percent so Diego's like, I'm not gonna he did. He just didn't have an nil agent during college. But he does have an agent.

00:32:53
Speaker 2: I'll say this to a lot of these NFL agents for first round picks are taking one and a half percent now, not even three percent.

00:32:59
Speaker 3: That's because the the boys are aware that they're gonna go in the first round no matter what. So everybody who's hunting them to like wrap them and be their agent, you can kind of have some leverage to be like, well, what do you do it for this percentage?

00:33:10
Speaker 2: I'll say this. I called my agent and I said, can I get one and a half percent back of my rookie contract? And they politely told me to kick rocks. All good, you missed one hundred percent of the shots you don't take. Yeah, yeah, let's let's let's check in with our our Pittsburgh Steeler because there was a very unique thing that happened in the first round of this draft.

00:33:28
Speaker 3: Oh yeah, matter of fact, we do it. We have a tear talk. Do you mind if I read the tear talk?

00:33:31
Speaker 2: I had read it.

00:33:32
Speaker 3: This is from Dick Richard rich a on x hashtag tear talk. I would love to hear the Boys take on Philly sniping mackay Lemon while he was on the phone with Pittsburgh during the NFL draft, hashtag we love Shane. Hey, Howie Roseman have a plus for how I rose I mean that is OK. Yeah, that is a tangster move. Is a friend of the show fish the Eagles. But I loved watching it go down.

00:34:02
Speaker 2: Yeah. I hated the Eagles season this past year. But the roster, how he operates, Charles and tribulations, all of it. Dude, Just Howie Roseman doing Howie Roseman thinks find the gray.

00:34:12
Speaker 3: We're about to lose a J. Brown. Hold my beer. Let's see what you do here? Watch what I do right here? Yeah, now, Derek, we had some conversations during the draft. There are moments you were excited. There are moments you were really sad, some more more and more sad than happy. But go ahead and talk me through a bubb Yeah. Hey, make sure to walk people through who didn't tune in for the first round, or they might not have every all of the context to what we're talking about. Yeah.

00:34:34
Speaker 7: Sure, So the Pittsburgh Steelers just started right there. They call all of their draft picks before they're on the clock, they call them, they check in with them, and pretty much every time Omar goes, hey, if everything goes according to plan, we're taking you. And that's the lingo he uses, just to the bunk anything Clump could say for the rest of the episode. The other thing in there is we go from wanting McKayle lemon being on the phone with McKayle lemon. Because we brought in Michael Pittman, we have Deacon Metcalf. We will bring in Aaron Rodgers eventually, I hope. So we were trying to get another receiver that was different. They went after Lemon. Philadelphia is over compensating for the lack of quarterback position in house, so they get another receiver, the fifth receiver, I believe this offseason. So they bring in another receiver. He's fine. So then we're sitting there, me, Will and JP and I'm just you know, I was poisoned testing a couple of bud lights, so I was making sure they were good, and so I was a little excited and happy.

00:35:20
Speaker 3: And Steelers are sitting there right one pick, right before their pick, they're on the phone mackay, Hey, you're.

00:35:26
Speaker 7: And the Eagles slid in because Dallas was going defense. So mckaye lemon off the board. I'm looking at the names. I'm begging for a couple guys, hoping a couple guys don't go, and then we take Max. Max Uh. It's a hard little swing tackle out of Arizona State High prospect, didn't play football on high school Juco. Guy comes out, massive human being, upside upside is there, It's just that position we didn't need. It felt like a panic pick at the time because he wasn't a really guy that we had brought in. I will say hindsight going through the rest of the draft. Tailor we had a long talk that night about my ups and downs of Max. Big upside.

00:36:00
Speaker 3: Well, Pittsburgh's the Steeler fans that were there in Pittsburgh, like they're not flooding to the exit. Yeah, we have that pick, Dick. After that pick went down, like Steelers fans were what.

00:36:08
Speaker 7: I don't think it was a reflection of Steelers fans hating that pick.

00:36:11
Speaker 2: They left.

00:36:12
Speaker 7: They were just ready to go home.

00:36:13
Speaker 3: If you guys end up getting McKay lemon, it's not people aren't flooding in the egsit. It's bud Lights being passed around left and right celebrating happening.

00:36:21
Speaker 7: I can't speak on that timeline, like it's not a real timeline and where we are, I can only speak on what happened. I would assume there were a few more bud lights cracked if we had MacKaye Lemon. I can agree with the assumption there. So we take Max and I wasn't happy slept on it. We need a left tackle. Roger Jones' neck is basically mush at this point. We need to get I wanted Roger Jones.

00:36:42
Speaker 3: We need that guy. Was there a part of you that when you saw the because we were at the draft, so we weren't seeing all this stuff with MacKaye Lemmon, the phone call he was on the phone with the Steelers going you just catch it up with the bird after Yeah, when you woke up the next day and saw that the clip that they were looking to get mikayle Lemon, and then how we just sniped in while you guys were on the phone, mackay saying, Hey, you're about to be a Pittsburgh Steeler. Matter of fact, no you're not. Eagles traded up into Dallas, a spot sniped him right before were you at least be like, Okay, at least I know the Steelers their heads were in the right spot.

00:37:12
Speaker 7: I actually woke up that morning and went back to my rankings and realized I forgot I had listed Mackay Lemon as a bust, and so I was happy that it didn't happen. I had forgotten that I ranked him so low in my personal rankings that morning, and so when I woke up, I was like, Wow, we dodged a huge bullet.

00:37:28
Speaker 3: Fair enough.

00:37:29
Speaker 5: You've been hot with your wide receiver bus too, I have.

00:37:32
Speaker 7: He's not the guy I named, but I will say I don't want to throw out names, but I am about six for seven in the last drafts with naming my bust. I did not name him as the guy for it, but when I woke up, I remember that it was him, though. So we're getting there. Second day day two, we got the guy that we talked about, Taylor. Yeah for me receiver that is a stude that I love. And we get the sexiest man in America, Jennings Dunker, who I think we can all agree is the greatest. That guy.

00:38:01
Speaker 2: Yeah, anytime you get an Iowa offensive line, that guy's starting for the next twenty five years.

00:38:04
Speaker 3: That's a Pittsburgh Steeler.

00:38:06
Speaker 2: That's a Steeler right there. He's literally the same colors. You have to do no editing on that photo at all.

00:38:10
Speaker 3: He comes in.

00:38:12
Speaker 2: Here's what hey, listen, the mkayle lemon tough situation looks optically, looks real tough on the burd. I think you can catching a lot of heat. Pittsburgh Steeler fans. Jeremy Bernard though, and we talked about this in the pre pro I think that's your steel of the draft right there. We had the opportunity this year watch a lot of Alabama games. During those Alabama games, like anytime they got Jermy Bernard the ball, it's the yards after catch, it's his ability to throw the ball on the perimeter. Very tough, balance, wide receiver. I like him a lot. Reminds me body type. He's got that frame of AJ Brown. I don't know how tall he is. I don't think he's as tall as AJ. But ball skills, bodying other dbs like this is a cat. This, this is a tough.

00:38:52
Speaker 3: Pittsburgh steel Steel're about to have. I will say, I don't know if we can just throw around labels like, this is AJ Brown type cat. No the bill do you look at the bill and you go a J Brown?

00:39:00
Speaker 5: Tim He's built and like runs kind of like AJ.

00:39:03
Speaker 3: He built runs like AJ.

00:39:05
Speaker 2: But I feel like more I would put it more on a Debo as well, Like you can hit him on the perimeter quick, little screen, bubble screen out there, and he's gonna get you eight to ten, a couple of good some good blocks. He's popping one for six years.

00:39:16
Speaker 5: I want you don't want to put these expectations on him though.

00:39:18
Speaker 3: Right right? Oh my ba, my bad. I thought iron sharp and iron but okay, yeah.

00:39:22
Speaker 5: But if you're comparing him to AJ and Debo and he doesn't have an AJ or Debo type year, then it's like, this guy's a bust.

00:39:29
Speaker 3: But I like it's a good football player.

00:39:32
Speaker 2: It's a good AJ was the second round pick. He's a second round pick. They look the same if they don't have the same production, bust, That's what I'm saying. So we don't know Whoburks quarterback is yet. But this guy, if he does have a thousand yards this year, I'm calling him. We might have to call him this guy.

00:39:49
Speaker 3: If this kid doesn't end up with the Eagles and trying to bake his way out of that contract, and everybody wants him. It's a bust. Exactly, how do you dare? I did Howie Rose been trading for this guy in three years? And then I need this guy blowing it up? Yeah, exactly give me.

00:40:02
Speaker 5: Also kind of interesting with the Steelers. It's also kind of interesting the Steelers drafted arrival of a quarterback you already have on the team with Drew Aller and Will Howard, now that they're on the same team. Because Will Howard's from Pennsylvania, from like fifteen minutes away from me, wanted to go to penn State. Penn State never offered him because of Drew Aller. So these guys have been in the same orbit for three four years and now they're on the same team and they probably hate each other good.

00:40:29
Speaker 2: I'll be honest with you all. Once you get to the NFL, you're not really looking at like you have your chirps during like Saturday after a walk through, people walk in the noonslate of college football is going on and if your teams are playing, you're busting chops.

00:40:42
Speaker 3: Yeah, or like the old are you talking like high school days?

00:40:46
Speaker 5: Drew's from like the northeast area and Will is from Pennsylvania, so it's.

00:40:50
Speaker 3: Like it'll be busting balls. No, I'm sure Will. Will Howard will be like, do you know you're fifteen minutes away from Mitch Carsley. Yeah, yeah, like we're all in the same scope. Like let's put our swords down and become a team.

00:41:02
Speaker 2: If anything, Mitch, you're not there's an opportunity for you to be the mediator on all of this.

00:41:06
Speaker 5: I'm just trying to get invited to a rookie mini.

00:41:08
Speaker 2: Kid had listen, you got Diego Pavia a type of.

00:41:13
Speaker 5: Upside summer saying I mean Titans give Jack and I call I don't know if you.

00:41:17
Speaker 3: Don't know what Jackson.

00:41:18
Speaker 4: Don't know what Jackson watch. If you guys watched though, absolutely.

00:41:24
Speaker 5: If you guys saw Jack during the pun passing kick competition had last week.

00:41:28
Speaker 4: Ship don't maybe for maybe three days, so my hammy goes pop.

00:41:33
Speaker 3: You just need the invite, you need the invite.

00:41:37
Speaker 2: I'll say this due I saw Ryan Stonehouse a couple of days ago. Just great to see him. Great to see him. I breaks my heart because of his rookie year and how amazing it was I forgot what. I think he's a free agent right now. He's doing real est no ship.

00:41:53
Speaker 4: Yes, now we have Tommy Townsend chiefs punk bro.

00:41:59
Speaker 3: That is crazy. The Stonehouse did just take over.

00:42:03
Speaker 2: He was bombing like sixty seventy yard punts his rookiear second year got That's when he got the A c L. But it wasn't just that was a bad injury. So he hasn't fully recovered from that.

00:42:14
Speaker 3: Because again, Titans moving on from Kerr like he's historically I mean he's the best play of the Titans I've ever had.

00:42:19
Speaker 2: Historically, I think Brett Kurr is the best player of the Titans have ever had. Yeah, like he knows he like right Jack. I mean it's hard to argue that Brett Currn's not the greatest of all time.

00:42:28
Speaker 3: I mean hard to argue people, but people know what Brett Kerrn ad meant to the team in the organization.

00:42:33
Speaker 4: What's cool is when Brett Kerr retired, the next guy who is the longest tenure Titan at that point? Do you know the answer to that?

00:42:42
Speaker 2: I was so excited when Brett got out of there. I was like, hell, yeah, dude, I'm the I'm the guy now, Brett, I love you. I watched his son little grow up in our locker room together. It was really cool to see us some do that. But once he was gone, I was like, I sit on the iron throne now.

00:42:58
Speaker 3: But knowing too that Stone out, I took over for that and everybody was kind of like, this just has Toad because the dude is a baller, and I didn't know that he wasn't with the team right now, dude.

00:43:06
Speaker 2: And it's yeah, because Brett as long as he I think it was like fifteen years something crazy with the Titans. And then Stonehouse comes in. You could feel a little bit of friction there because obviously Brett Sell he's on the last leg. And then Stonehouse coming in, You're like, oh, this kid's incredible. He's not only bombing these things like sixty seventy yards, he's putting it inside the five when you want. He had incredible accuracy, like the guy had as much as you can get excited about a punter, like you're like that excited about him. This He's flipping the field for you, regardless of where you're at, and it just it sucks. Dude, Andrew's my right boys. Yeah, right, they come for us, all, they come for us, all come for us all. There was a uh, do you want to get into this breakdown here? That Sherman's flashing in front of our face. Oh we can talk about that, Love. I'd love to just kind of since we're on the Titans, talk real quick. But did I just have a conversation real quick how we feel about that first run? But I know it too, But that first Cardinal Tait, I know a lot of people wanted Jeremiah Love. I was surprised to see Jeremiah go three was the Cardinals correct? Three of the Cardinals. Surprised to see that. I thought it was all but secure that Jeremiah Love was going to be the guy Cardinal Tait. Great football player, incredible routes, finds those holes in zone. A lot of people. The big knock on him was he was the number two receiver on his team last year. What happens when you don't have a guy like Jeremiah Smith taking all the attention away from you, Jack, I want to hear your thoughts.

00:44:22
Speaker 4: Well, the whole argument with him being the number two in Ohio State, it's like you're behind Jeremiah Smith. People are tracking him to be the next Megatron, like he could be the next great receiver of like the whole Ta Yeah, and so if you're number two to that guy, I don't think that's a bad thing to hang your hat on. Also, his separation and downhill speed, I think is gonna be that like Star Power Pop that cam Warden needs people also for again, we picked up Wondo Robinson, like we're loading up the wide receivers. I think will be nice. I do wish the Titans had addressed our o line issue a little earlier that I think we took fifth, which was people are saying the best Fernando in the draft, which is Fernando Karmont Carmanda Junior came out of Arkansas. So hopefully he's going to be a dog. Uh the I'm forgetting his name. The linebacker from Texas who is Anthony Hill. He's going to be a monster. And then from Penn State, I think it's going to be a great. Yeah, Keldrich Fall I think he's going to be a development player that he's going to get in there because at Auburn people have issues that he only had two career sacks, but he was also with Auburn. I think for only two years maybe, and he.

00:45:29
Speaker 5: Was more like a played.

00:45:32
Speaker 4: He played a lot of like functionality. He wasn't just an edge guy, but I think he could be someone. And at the end of the day, man, I do trust Mike Burgonzi. This is the second draft of the Titans. I think he knows what he's doing, especially now with Salah and and everything that we've got going on.

00:45:48
Speaker 3: I have a big trust with these guys.

00:45:51
Speaker 4: So moving forward, Yes, Carnal Tates scares a lot of people.

00:45:56
Speaker 3: Could be too early.

00:45:57
Speaker 4: I know that makay Lemon won the Belinda Office last year. I still think Cardinal Tate was the best receiver in that draft, even though he's the number two guy in Ohio State. I think if it pans out, it's gonna be great. But obviously, if you look back in you know, three and sixty five days and we're went four and three. I mean not four and three, but you know what I mean, four wins, people are gonna be upset. I do believe that Cardel Tate is going to have star power. And you put them with cam ward It's like Kim Warden needs these weapons right now more than ever or else, he's gonna burn out quick and we're we're gonna have another issue with.

00:46:28
Speaker 5: Quarterback cardif ty would be at number two or number one on literally any other time.

00:46:32
Speaker 3: How sick are the Oha State Buck guys? And I'm sorry, I know you were on but the mestact that you got that you're like the number two on your team. You went fourth overall in the NFL draft and they got Jeremiah Smith, who's going to be supposedly better than Carnell Tate.

00:46:50
Speaker 2: Yeah, barring a quarterback going one overall, like jeremih smiss your number one overall guy.

00:46:54
Speaker 3: Next year, talented's flooded on that team. It's incredible.

00:46:57
Speaker 2: And yeah, for coming from a Michigan man himself, I'll be honest, like, if you're a GM and you're looking at Ohio state wide receiver, you're probably safe. You're probably you're probably safe. But the kids getna be I I think. Yeah, Now, Jeremy Bernard, if he doesn't get a thousand yards, he's a bust. Carl Tat, I give him a little bit of time. I canta give him a little bit of time. But one thing that you said, Jack, that I completely agree with, and Orlovsky talks about this on the interview. Was this year is extremely important for camp Ward, extremely important. You need to him as many weapons as possible. He's a confident man. You gotta get that confidence to an all time high going this year. The offensive line adjusting that dude, you have so much money already in your offensive line, it'd be difficult, I think, to be like, all right, let's go invest more in a first or second round pick in the offensive line. When you have an eighty million dollars to your uh, your left tackle you just picked up with the fifth year option for your left guard, you get fifty million dollars to your center. You have a vet I mean in JC Latham like you have multiple first round picks, multiple second contract heavy guys on your offensive line. We got to get going there. We gotta get moved in a little bit. Got to get them boys going a little bit. And it's not always the individual, it's cohesive unit.

00:48:06
Speaker 3: Boys.

00:48:07
Speaker 2: Go out, have a couple of butt lights together, you know, Go go have a nice dinner, get a little get the camaraderie. Go buy a house, all of you guys, go living it together. Goat house, get yourself a goat House. You know what I'm saying, oh Linehouse, keep boardy safe, keyboardy safe.

00:48:27
Speaker 3: Onward.

00:48:28
Speaker 5: I think Ohio State had four guys in the top fifteen picks.

00:48:31
Speaker 3: Bro. Yeah, I mean Sunny Styles going to Washington. I think he's going to be a monster. Bro.

00:48:37
Speaker 5: I think cayleb Downs in Dallas is actually awesome.

00:48:39
Speaker 4: I think that that kid's gonna be there for ver, gonna sell a million jerseys. Yeah, I mean Notre Dame having their one and two running backs go in the first round.

00:48:50
Speaker 2: Yeah, man, kind of nuts.

00:48:52
Speaker 4: Crazy.

00:48:52
Speaker 5: Darium Price is going to be a stud and seat.

00:48:54
Speaker 4: People are saying he's going to have more production because ken Walker's gone. He's going to you know, Super Bowl Raining. It's it's gonna be fun to watch both.

00:49:02
Speaker 3: I didn't know how State now win the Natty with those freaks man coaching, right, but dude, Jeremiah Smith, Carnell Tate, Sonny Styles, Caleb Downs Reese.

00:49:13
Speaker 4: Y'all see, Fernando's brother kind of get got he was going for the DAP up and apparently they re they refilmed his his announcement because the youngest brother who's like the sweetheart of America, right, now tried to go for the DAP and then he's just held in the corner and goes back and now they literally the NFL gave him a segment with Fernando called the Fernando Minute or it's like the Mendoza Minute. And he wants to be a broadcaster and he's probably like thirteen or something. He's got a little bit of a lisp that he'll grow out of cue, but you can tell he does have star power for broadcast abilities.

00:49:44
Speaker 2: I love that.

00:49:46
Speaker 4: I do hope the best for that kid.

00:49:47
Speaker 2: Dude, Fernando Mendozo. Do you see his uh when he got to the Raiders hit him with a let's fucking go. Oh yeah, everybody it hit a let's fucking go. And literally I'm just seeing like forty kids in there too. I'm Fernando's already changing, man, He's all He's already.

00:50:04
Speaker 3: Like once it's set in that he said let's fucking go.

00:50:06
Speaker 2: People like yeah, yeah, dude, I'll tell you what Raiders are sneaky to me? Dude, I think, like, don't look at the process because all this stuff to have on Max Crosby, but the result is you have Max Crosby, who's an absolute gangster, like he's an incredible leader. You're bringing Kirk Kirk Duggans, who's gonna help for Nana Mendoza in his process. Koobi Ac Dude, I think is an awesome OC. I can't wait to see how how they do this.

00:50:29
Speaker 4: You're the Raiders top receivers right now, that's that's your pro that's I think.

00:50:33
Speaker 3: Who did get in the draft because you're right, that's where it because it's like, well, they also have holes.

00:50:37
Speaker 5: In the old line Zobe Meyers last year.

00:50:40
Speaker 3: But as far as like semi skill guys with the running back spot, they've addressed quarterback that the pairing with Kirk, Cousins and Mendoza is going to be elite. Brought Bauers, Michael Mayer, Ashen Genty.

00:50:54
Speaker 5: What do you guys think because me and my me and fowarre arguing about this. How long you think Kirk starts before Fernando gets in? Do you think Fernando plays a game this year or because he was on I.

00:51:06
Speaker 3: Think Fernando will play because I don't think the Raiders like again this is gonna take again. They just got in Kubiak, so I think it's gonna You're still a year or two out from being where you want to be from an organization standpoint. But I feel like they've started to trend in the right direction from where everything was kind of falling apart with the Mac stuff the historically the last however many years with the Raiders. But I do think they're trending the right way. I Fernando will go in at some point, like it's not just gonna be Kirk Cousins the entire year.

00:51:35
Speaker 5: With my opinion, I was saying, like, let's just say the like the Raiders are out of the playoffs, there's like five or six games left. I think they throw from Fernando in there to get him some NFL experience going into.

00:51:47
Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, I assume and think it'll be something like that because you got Kirk, Like, you don't have to rush this dude to start now. He does seems like he's very much like a neck up guy. And again he's in the room with Kirk like he's gonna mentor him. You also got Tom Brady part of that organization. Kubiak is a genius on the offensive side, Like Fernando will get going, but you don't have to rush it since you do have Kirk, and unless you're sitting there and you're in a spot to where, say the Raiders take off and they're winning games and they're out front, and it's Kirk doing it, like I could see him staying with Kirk.

00:52:21
Speaker 7: Uh.

00:52:21
Speaker 3: But if they get it to where they're at, like a breaking point in the year, you very much can get Fernando going because he will be ready at some point this year.

00:52:29
Speaker 5: No bad ideas in a brainstorm for the Raiders, Brandon Ayuk would be an awesome trade for them to bring in as a wide receiver.

00:52:35
Speaker 3: Could get him very cheap.

00:52:37
Speaker 2: I saw John Lynch talk about that tore their phones are open and just because it didn't work out the forty nine ers doesn't mean it can't be rekindled somewhere else. Like it's because the leverage that the forty nine ers have in the draft, like you could probably give up something real low like a seven to six for them and seventh round pick. I think that's worth looking into. Oh yeah, gentlemen, I'm gonna say something. This just might be a little uncomfortable sex. Right, let's get it out of the way. 00:54:10
Speaker 3: We do have a tiar talk speaking of Raiders, speaking of Titans with this one comes from Christopher Dawes CT DAWs at Bust with the Boys WTV. You can poul us everywhere of the four teams with three wins this past season, the Jets, Titans, Raiders, and Cardinals. Who posts the best record this year? Hashtag tiar talk.

00:54:27
Speaker 2: Titans one, Cardinals two, Raiders three, Jets four. That's how That's how it ranked. That's a clean take, clean debate, clean debate. We talked about the Raiders already and how they have too many holes. I don't disagree that the Titans have a lot of holes still, but I love I've fallen in love with the coaching staff. We are biased, we are biased, Sala Dable. I just think those two, the leadership, the culture of the locker room, like creatively, they're going to find ways to be competitive. Big here for Cam Woard, you get your one wide receiver. I love that the Raiders. We talked about Cardinals. I don't know where to put them, Like, Who's their quarterback right now, Carson Bark and yeah, and listen to Cardinals about the state of their franchise there and look at their social media team what they say, Chris Chase, Chase, Chase beck l Right now, we can look in the past a little bit and go over to twenty twenty one. We can see where they got a massive w with Chandler Jones owning busting with the boys in the middle of the game they played Week one against the Titans. That was a great post by then. Objectively, that's funny. Still hurts my feelings, but I don't know where to put the Cardinals in that and the Jets looking for interception right now.

00:55:38
Speaker 3: Cardinals and Jets is organizationally like we're biased and more familiar with Titans and Raiders. It does feel like to me the Titans will post the best record this year because again, these teams they fucked it up so much. The two that I feel like are trying to trend the right way, try to get everything cleaned up in house is the Titans and the Raiders. I am optimistic with Sala day Ball and Gus Bradley being the three headed monster, the coordinators in the head coach of the Titans. The way that they've drafted, they do need to put up with the old line that they have money into in their first round picks. It does seem like the Titans have the best chance for the best record this year. And again you're in the division with Texans defense gonna be insane.

00:56:19
Speaker 2: Hopefully well weigh down a little bit by the money Jags.

00:56:23
Speaker 3: But then again, look at the Raiders, like you got what the.

00:56:25
Speaker 2: Chiefs, Chiefs, Chiefs, Brocos Chargers.

00:56:29
Speaker 3: I mean, they're they're gonna be that, like they're all three of them are gonna be tough.

00:56:33
Speaker 2: Bro.

00:56:34
Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.

00:56:35
Speaker 2: You put the Titans in a better division for them to be just.

00:56:38
Speaker 3: Again, organizationally, I just feel like they always kind of have no shot, right Cardinals, they just don't think about a whole lot, because again, you got Seattle, they're gonna be awesome. Rams are gonna be awesome, Niners are gonna be awesome. It feels like out of any of those, it feels like Titans. To me, it feels like Titans. Yeah.

00:56:55
Speaker 2: Yeah, I like the Titans. I like the Titans being sneaky competitive this year, sneaky competitive.

00:57:00
Speaker 3: I do have some college football talk here. This one comes from on Spotify bb Himmel. SEC had the most players drafted every year since two thousand and seven. Hashtag tier talk nineteen years, nineteen years. Is this the first year the SEC hasn't had the most draft in the first round? I don't know, because the Big Ten had the most drafted in the first round this year. I want to say the SEC was down there with like the ACC Big Twelve. But again conference breakdown this year's draft. SEC had eighty seven, Big Ten at sixty eight, ACC had thirty eight, and the Big Twelve at thirty eight. Here's a big gap between one and two. Here's where I needed to get you going on AI right now. Shurham is the Big Ten closing the gap. Here are most players drafted? Eighty seven and sixty eight is where we're at this year. How close has it been in years past? If we can find that information.

00:57:52
Speaker 2: And if you're an SEC fan, this is even more cause for concern, like how do you have this many this much talent get drafted?

00:57:58
Speaker 3: And you know we can't.

00:57:59
Speaker 2: We got get more active in the playoffs, right.

00:58:02
Speaker 4: Because the guys are leaving, there won't be as many good players.

00:58:06
Speaker 2: No, no, I'm say, had a good tweet about nineteen years. Nineteen years you guys have owned the draft and how many and then nil hits and all of a sudden we got this weird thing going on where the big ten's won the last three in a row. Like, if you are the SEC, something's got to give because things.

00:58:19
Speaker 3: Aren't adding up.

00:58:20
Speaker 2: You have all the talent, but you know, but we can't get over the hunt. I don't get it. I don't understand it because I'm clearly I'm a very unbiased individual when it comes to like college football. I love watching the games. Obviously I'm bias towards Michigan. Than that, it's like, hey, but not really bias towards Michigan, not really. No, you cover it pretty objectively. That's that's what I try to do. Yeah, that's because what we're where this is sports journalists, exactly. I just look at it from afar and we are in SEC country, living in Nashville, Tennessee, and it's like I hear every year about these wide receivers, these all these look how much talent we have five stars everywhere, and it's like, hey, win it. I just don't wonder. I guess I'm having a hard time. Maybe so many in the comments could help me understand why the SEC can't get over the hump and the New Anisle era.

00:59:03
Speaker 3: You know, you know, I have a Kevin's Natural Foods Clean.

00:59:08
Speaker 2: Take hold on, Hold on time out. It looks like we're getting farther and farther away.

00:59:11
Speaker 3: Yeah, it seems pretty Yeah. So last year there was seventy one in the Big Ten drafted seventy nine in the SEC. Now do ask this question too, how many first round picks? What's the question boys by conference.

00:59:31
Speaker 5: The last five years?

00:59:33
Speaker 3: Let's go to the last week about you in five years? Which conference has had the most first round picks since twenty ten? It's going to be head and shoulders SEC.

00:59:45
Speaker 2: One million, head and shoulders.

00:59:47
Speaker 3: But what I'm saying is I'm trying to build. I'm trying to build something here to where this is the first year the Big Ten has had the most in the first round. So it is changed the tightest shifting a little bit because Peyton had a good tweet about saying it represents college football, top heavy, Big Ten, all the people in the middle. That's where the SEC lives. As far as depth talent across the board. It's the SEC.

01:00:09
Speaker 2: Oh, I hope that's not true.

01:00:13
Speaker 3: What do we got here?

01:00:14
Speaker 2: Because even if you look at the Bowl games, it's like where do we hang the hat? Where do we hang the hat?

01:00:21
Speaker 3: This year? Jack?

01:00:23
Speaker 2: Because I feel you, dude, it's like, man, what's the movie where they It's called K two. If you in the movie K two where they're they're climbing like it's a yes, son and daughter and the dad and they're all climbing this face of the rock and the rope slips and the sun and daughter are laying there or like they see that the ropes breaking and the dad cuts the rope, so him and two other guys fall to save the other two. And I just feel like, when are you gonna put the knife to the to the rope and cut yourself away to save down? You?

01:00:54
Speaker 3: You know what are you gonna save? Your opinion? Here's what AI, what's actually happening? Go down? Go down? What's actually happening? That what that part with the brain emoji? What is actually happening? Yeah? The SEC has been the dominant NFL pipeline for elite top thirty two towns for fifteen plus years. We all know that the Big Ten is closing the gap recently, especially in the last three to five drafts. In twenty twenty six, the Big Ten actually beat the SEC in first rounders ten to seven, snapping the long SEC streak. So this is the first year Big Ten's rising. I do want to say. The next one is Sunny Styles, Bro, have.

01:01:31
Speaker 2: You seen dude? I hate that this has become like a massive like Ohio State podcast, But like the next one is Caleb Downs. Yea yeah, objective in my life back projectively, here's my favorite prospect in this draft. Like, barring injury, off field anything, this guy, Yeah, put a jacket on him. In my mind, that's the kind of jack of guy. This this is, that's the state of in my opinion, I've never watched film seeing guy being able to deserve the field and react and be in the right place at the right time as well as Downs has since Luke Keikley and they.

01:02:08
Speaker 3: Talk about how his ability playing from the neck up to like the dude is brilliant.

01:02:14
Speaker 2: And I had himself a little podcast this year like kids kids figure him. Yeah, he's impressive. And be in a place like Dallas where their defense was such an issue last year, couldn't be a better fit, could not be.

01:02:27
Speaker 3: A better fit. Man.

01:02:28
Speaker 2: That is awesome. Shout out to Dallas Cowboys, which I'm learning Welcome to the team, Welcome to the team. If I learned anything in the last week, dude, it's Will Compton and Dallas Cowboys.

01:02:40
Speaker 3: I was relearning it too when we're doing that interview with with r J and he was bringing up old tweets of my fandom with Dallas where one of them read like if we don't beat the Rams, I'll kill myself. Back in my younger days, Back in my younger days and the younger days, every draft that would happen, I would tweet about the guy and put welcome to Dallas, Tyron Tyron Smith, welcome to the team.

01:03:04
Speaker 2: Hashtag Hey did you see that offensive lineman from Arkansas? I go drafted the Titans and like, if you can meet one guy who would be and he said me and Paulka Harsky.

01:03:12
Speaker 3: Just bagged me.

01:03:13
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's kind of while he's like, uh, what's the kid's name?

01:03:17
Speaker 4: Fernando Carmanda, So.

01:03:19
Speaker 2: Fernando Carmanda said that the celebrity he would like to meet is Tayo Lawan and paulka Harsky was like, he needs to have better, bigger dreams of who to meet.

01:03:27
Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, like his celebrity baggage or something.

01:03:30
Speaker 2: Yeah yeah yeah. And I was like, that's a Taylor Lloyd sent me that tweet and was like, I miss Paul and his chirps towards you, So shout out Paulkaharsky.

01:03:38
Speaker 3: Piece of I was gutsing shrapping alone sunny styles because there's Washington fans being like I have I had to watch this up for the last two decades and just naming all the linebackers that have played, just like Will Mason Foster, which, by the way, we had some good year We had some good games, some good memories, some good moments. Yeah, it's stopped after me. That's where it started when it was me. D like, the list that was going on was like Will Compton, Perry Riley, Mason Foster, John Bostick, like all the backers who have played essentially since twenty thirteen, since the London Fletcher stopped playing. That's far anyway, boys, we feel good? Do we feel great? Do we have other stuff? We do have Rookie of the Year odds here that's on the FanDuel Sportsbook right now ap NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year twenty twenty six, twenty twenty seven, right now leading the leading the package Jeremiah Love, which I at plus three twenty. I do like Jeremiah Love. I love Jeremiah Love. What Juderian Price is fifth on this list list at plus one thousand. Mackay Lemon plus twelve hundred, Jordan Tyson plus seven fifty, Carnel Tape plus six fifty Mendoza plus three eighty Bernanda Mendoza wouldn't let's stay away from that one, because again, I don't think I think Kirk is going to start the year off as the starter, but who knows.

01:04:56
Speaker 2: I have no clue on the offensive side of the ball. If it's not Jeremy Bernard, right bust. I'm on my Fanuel Sportsbook. Futures are putting Jeremy Bernard, and I'll be watching his rookie season extremely closely. From an offensive or rookie MVP.

01:05:16
Speaker 7: A thousand yards is your bust meter for him, and.

01:05:19
Speaker 2: It's got to be, man, it's gotta be like he's got he's got too many comps. He's got too many comps.

01:05:23
Speaker 7: Right now, okay, and the team right now, and he beat out Wilson.

01:05:28
Speaker 2: Right now, and Roman Wilson National champion hundred and absolutely, so once again, you're kind of just adding the list of why Jeremy Bernard needs to be your offensive rookie of the Year, and I do want to put in my defensive rookie of the year. It's gonna be Ruben bin I know, but listen, I know I bring year. This is why I'm choosing Ruben band. I've already had said the Caleb Downs thing and how he's going to be incredible when you watch. I saw a clip and I think I sent it to a couple of you guys. These guys get drafted, right they grabbed that, they grabbed the hat off, they put it on, They look at themselves a little bit, and it's just cheery music. When Ruben Bain gets drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he walks by, snatches the hat and doesn't even stop in the mirror to look at it, and You're just like, this motherfucker's out for blood. He's got the craziest He sits there, dude, he sits there. Does this dasts up? Goodell and it's like this boy's all about business, like he is going to fuck some human beings up this year. I have never been so happy to be out of the NFL my entire life than watching this guy enter the league. Like, short arms are not like that bend, that ankle mobility along with that power. Praise God, Praise Jesus. I'm not the league right now. Okay, I can't. I couldn't handle that. Ain't nothing wrong with short arms. Ain't nothing wrong with short arms, Nothing wrong with short arms.

01:06:52
Speaker 4: Hey, people also loved your breakdown on how you would potentially block Ruben Bain. They want more content in that vein, So maybe coach.

01:07:00
Speaker 2: Lou is always up for grabs. If there's one thing I love, it's going and pumping my hands on some lads, teach them a little bit about the game. Now, that would be my game plan, and it would work for three quarters that four court. We better be up, you know, we better beat God forbidder down by ten points. You're going to two minutes halfway through the fourth. You have a couple series.

01:07:19
Speaker 3: There ain't no more. Let's play basketball.

01:07:21
Speaker 2: We gotta set back and pray to God out here a little bit, right, but you think the Yeah, think of Marcus Davenport, get rid of the injuries, add a.

01:07:29
Speaker 3: Little bit more bend.

01:07:30
Speaker 2: Okay, don't want that in my life, all right, Ruben bains built to beat a tailor of the one dame over that being said, ladies, gentlemen, it's the last day you can possibly get Mother's Day merch on BWTV dot com. All of us are dumb men. All of us are dumb men. And except for the women that are watching here, moms they need gifts. We want to give them gifts. You want to show them how good of mothers they are. So go to pwtv dot com. Hey, get some Mother's Day merch and just get it out of the way right now.

01:07:57
Speaker 3: And this is a great reminder because we covered it last week. And you know how with the with the male brain, it goes one year out the other. This is another reminder. Get on ordering your Mother's Day merch. Milk Team six for the mom's Mother's Day stuff. It is all out there. You want a wineglass, you want a coffee mug or a t mug. Yeah, anything you want.

01:08:13
Speaker 2: At this point, since you've gotten this reminder, it's now on you if you forget buddy, like we're doing the best we can because next week when I remind you again, you're gonna be like, shit, I'm late. I'm gonna say, shit, you're late, and I don't want to ship you're late, dude. I want to patch you on the back. You know, just don't shit in my hand.

01:08:29
Speaker 5: I'll say it again. Pause the podcast right now and go to the store.

01:08:34
Speaker 2: And Mitch and I'll say this clean advice. Mitch is out a three week heater and that's a clean take by Mitch Carsley. Shout out Chemn's Natural Foods. Anybody else have any clean takes before we get out of here.

01:08:44
Speaker 7: I was just gonna say Pittsburgh Rips.

01:08:49
Speaker 2: Rips in city had an absolute blast at the draft and Derek, you crushed it being our tour guide taking us around, walk them through parks, spots, the what was it meat and potatoes.

01:09:04
Speaker 7: Yeah, dinner, meat potatoes, lunch at Sinderland's. Shoutouts, these are just fast. Got some rubs at Modern Cafe. We went in there and uh and then we I think we ordered from Burger.

01:09:16
Speaker 3: King very late.

01:09:17
Speaker 2: What was that? Yeah, that was a bad move. What was the sandwich we ate? Yeah?

01:09:24
Speaker 7: The only thing about that I know. Dano brought up astronomy. Anybody going get the capit cola with that.

01:09:34
Speaker 3: Derek was getting into full character too. He's like, we're gonna walk down the street here. Yeah, in the Pittsburgh you're really getting.

01:09:43
Speaker 2: Cute ass town, like if you want to call it a town, but the hills reminds you of San Francisco a little bit, but it's got the blue collar grid about it. You start, what was that street we walked down with all the shops, don streets and the Strip district gave me like a little bit of New Orleans vibes with the iron gates on the ball, these people sitting out there food on the street. We got to sing with the with Buddy, which I'm so glad I was able to display my voice for Rocketman and Eulton Giants. Just letting you guys know, I got it, I got I got the juice. I got the juice a little bit.

01:10:12
Speaker 7: He's got a lot of people were really happy you guys went the Randy Land too. That meant a lot to the city of Pittsburgh.

01:10:18
Speaker 4: Jealous watching that place looked unbelievable.

01:10:20
Speaker 2: Jack, You would have left, Yeah.

01:10:25
Speaker 4: Would have got a separated I've never been to Pittsford, but I did a little reason. Is it like a museum of art or it's.

01:10:33
Speaker 7: A guy named Randy's actual house and it was two blocks from the airbnb and it is he literally his backyard. He just has it open and then dumped basically everything from what you would assume is a worldwide garage sale in there. But it's orchestrated chaos and it's beautiful. It's all just his outside, but it's it's awesome.

01:10:49
Speaker 3: It looked awesome, dude. And we got to hit the local lemonade stand. Yeah, but their neighbors he had the stoop kids. Took some photos with the stoop kids photos.

01:10:57
Speaker 9: Yeah, candy, Uncle Jared got them some candy.

01:11:03
Speaker 2: You guys got a candy?

01:11:04
Speaker 3: Yeah, not anymore so creepy.

01:11:08
Speaker 2: Walking away, I was like some grown ass man walked up to my kids and was like, you guys want candy. I'd like, get the fuck?

01:11:12
Speaker 3: What idea these these We were cool with the parents, like.

01:11:16
Speaker 2: We were we were. We were cool with the parents. That said, as cool as we were with the parents. If shoes in the flip like no, remember, thank you so much. We appreciate that soon as you guys watched, I don't know what's in this candy. I gotta protect these chilling's. Yeah, but we went and like introduced ourself first. They were kind of setting up, are you guys gonna be out here later in the afternoon.

01:11:34
Speaker 3: We will be back. We'll be buying up some lemonades. Got to meet the got to meet. The parents are like, oh, what's the camera doing? You guys do content? They probably figured out who we were and what we did. Who's the old boy? Old boy? The guy's name, Yeah, yeah, I'm forgetting his name. I'm forgetting his name. So I hate that I'm forgetting his name. But anyway, we come back the second time when we bought the lemonade, fired up, buying all the lemonade, tipping them well, and they, you know, everybody was fired up that we were there visiting the lemonade stand. We figured out they were out of candy, so we went and bought them candy. So there was a relationship. There's a rapport there.

01:12:09
Speaker 8: Yeah, and then it wasn't weird until Will was like, hey call him uncle Jared.

01:12:12
Speaker 3: It's like, what the hell are you talking about? We were coming over like Uncle Jared's giving you candy. I'll tell Nicoll you Uncle Jared.

01:12:18
Speaker 2: The whole time you're talking, I'm listening, but I'm also just thinking about the movie Prisoners, and I'm out.

01:12:24
Speaker 3: Have you seen Prisoners? Yeah, it's a scary movie. It's got to watch that movie. Shout out, Brian James, Shout out the movie Prisoners, Dude, that's clean. Great movie, great movie.

01:12:32
Speaker 2: Clean.

01:13:18
Speaker 2: Ladies and Gentlemen. It is a very special time of year. It is draft season Draft right now when we're filming this. The draft is tomorrow. We have a very special guest in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Gentlemen play at the University of Connecticut. Lost in the National Championship this past year. Is a mainstay on not just ESPN, but also the Pat McAfee show. He has his own show. He goes on to the show when we go on there on Thursdays, he goes on eight hundred. He goes on eight hundred shows. Just lost a bet to myself. We have to wear an earring for a whole month.

01:13:48
Speaker 10: Let's give it up for.

01:13:49
Speaker 2: Danny oh lossuit.

01:13:52
Speaker 10: Hey, please address the not only lost that bet, I also lost a worst bet in the last week than that one. Cultrick, So the bet that Taylor and I made, or I initially wanted you to be a part of it because I kind of like thought you guys were a tandem. You quickly were like, I don't want any action you did you bailed on it.

01:14:14
Speaker 2: Can I just real quick get a quick thirty on that. There was a moment there where Will did try to break bust them with the boys into this, like let's make this a let's get busting. Yeah, a little bit more, and I basically held up the knife. I go, I want this kill.

01:14:28
Speaker 10: This is that you were very confident. I wasn't like overly confident going into Well, if I was that confident, I would have done the piercing part of the bet, but I knew I didn't know, but I was like, this is a long shot, so we went with the clip on. The wording of the bet is the big part because it doesn't say I have to do it a specific month. It says I have to wear it for a month straight. So I get to choose the month, which is a win for me. I'll probably do it one day in June or July. That'll probably be the only day that I'm on TV and it'll be done.

01:15:00
Speaker 3: And so you knew, Hey, the devil was in the details. You kind of I get the control.

01:15:06
Speaker 10: You guys are business man. You should have You've worked the contracts before.

01:15:09
Speaker 2: I'm sure I agree with you. Know what sucks about what you're saying right now is I spent probably too much time going over there.

01:15:17
Speaker 10: He texted me like three or four times.

01:15:18
Speaker 2: I was with JP and we were flying to the National Championship and I was like, hey, I need you to read over this. I went over edited a bunch of things. I'm like, I got to make sure that he thumbs up this exact text so there's no way for him to get out of it or be like no, I thought you said this or that. And we had that final text. I have you to find a loophole of like, I'll do it one day and then.

01:15:38
Speaker 10: Well, it says for a month straight. It doesn't say for the next month, piece of content. Correct that you're on correct month straight, right, and if you miss a day, it restarts the month.

01:15:48
Speaker 2: Yes.

01:15:49
Speaker 10: So once I saw that, I was like, I'm pretty much good. I'll do it one day in June or July.

01:15:54
Speaker 3: And you're also thinking to yourself, like, even if I stop and the month starts over, it's it's up to you. You can do this. Year's down the road.

01:16:01
Speaker 10: No, I'll do it. I'll do it, but I mean again, I'm gonna do it, like I think in June and July. I work one day each month because there's not a ton going on football wise. That's a little bit of like get away and get ready for the season and push. So I'll do it one day for that month.

01:16:16
Speaker 2: Does that do you feel any type of way that Adam Schefter retweeted it. The public eventually wanted to text. I almost texted shefty legit and I love shifting. I almost texted him. I said, are you done?

01:16:28
Speaker 10: Like are you have? You had enough? But I didn't because he's shifted. I don't want to disrespect him, but yeah, people had to run with that. That was like a that was a good twenty four hours.

01:16:37
Speaker 2: Cheft, he's like he's got I don't. I'm not saying he does, but he could definitely have connects. Like he's the type of guy you don't want to cross.

01:16:47
Speaker 3: I hit him.

01:16:48
Speaker 2: I did him with the Hey, just so you know this breaking news just released when it was dance thing always like retweeting. Now came back in six seconds like family guy as kids, how do you? How does he have time?

01:16:59
Speaker 10: Scheft is best person to my two of my favorite Shifty stories. One is really a story one once probably like four years ago, I was listening to Schefty tell a story and he I don't know who he was talking to. I think Greeny was one of the people, and he was just like ninety percent of the stuff I hear, I don't share. Right when he said that, I was like, you run the NFL, like you know exactly what's going on with the NFL. But when I first started working adiospn so like eight years ago, I sent out a tweet with the emojiis just that I don't remember for what. He called me. Within thirty seconds He's like, what's that. I'm like, what do you mean? He's like, what's your tweet about? And I was like, oh, I don't know. I just I think I'm being stupid or something like that. And he was like, don't do that.

01:17:46
Speaker 3: Really.

01:17:47
Speaker 10: Yeah, He's like, don't don't do that because if you do that, it makes me think that something's going on, and you know, and I was like, I will not, I.

01:17:54
Speaker 3: Will I'm sorry, I will not do that. Yeah, he's that. You think he's on it. You think he's got a lot of people's not if you can, he's just started on.

01:18:02
Speaker 10: I don't know. I'm sure some people. I'm sure the people that he thinks matter. I don't think that was the case with me, because I was.

01:18:08
Speaker 3: Well, maybe maybe is the notification popped up?

01:18:11
Speaker 10: Maybe he was like, yeah, I don't do that.

01:18:13
Speaker 3: I was like, got it?

01:18:14
Speaker 2: Do you have an urge when you're around a guy like Chefty to be like, I kind of want to know some inside ball. Maybe I could bring something into Chefty that he might not know. Have you ever brought information to him him being like, oh, I haven't heard of that.

01:18:23
Speaker 10: No, So this is the thing. Someone asked me about this a couple of weeks ago in regards to like some of the draft stuff that certainly the Tye Simpson comments that I've had and.

01:18:32
Speaker 2: Insane would you say no, go, I was letting you finish.

01:18:35
Speaker 10: Yeah, particular, And I don't like talking to like coaches and gms for information. I feel like excus the way that I do my job or would do my job, Like during the season, if I'm watching tape and it's something on the tape says something to me, I just want to do it, Like I don't want to like call the coach confirm if is what I'm seeing, because every organization and every coach is going to try to could look better than it might be or whatnot. You know, it's like, I don't ever do that. I didn't this past after I said some of the ty Simpson stuff. I did reach out to a bunch of people like coaches, general managers, executives kind of like like am I out of my mind here? But other than that, like I I don't, I don't like to do that. I and I also don't want to like ever want I don't ever want those people to feel like I'm using our friendship for that stuff.

01:19:28
Speaker 3: Yeah, have you never done that? You've always operated that way when you first came into it, where you kind of helped try to get utilizing coaches or anything.

01:19:36
Speaker 10: Like, No, I've never done that. I don't want to do that again. I just I think that would just it would change my vantage point. It would scume my vantage point. Now, I've gone on TV and done some stuff and had coaches reach out to me. And I've had a coach or too like read me the Riot Act a little bit. I've had friendship's been what's.

01:19:53
Speaker 3: Been your crazy story? Where you don't you're not like labeling anything or labeling anybody or tell his name, so yeah, or if you or do you feel like they'd be okay with it.

01:20:02
Speaker 10: I don't know if they'd be okay okay with it, But I've done some like film breakdowns, and I've been fairly critical. And then I've had coaches reach out to me and be like, you don't I've got a family. This isn't right what you're doing. You're trying to get me fired. I've had a friend do that, and I've been like, you think I'm trying to get you fired? Dude, Like, seriously, I've known you for twenty years. You think I'm trying to get you fired?

01:20:25
Speaker 2: Seriously.

01:20:26
Speaker 10: It's the balance of the job and trying to do it as good as possible. But yeah, I mean I've had coaches probably two or three times reach out and been like, dude, what the heck? I wish you would have reached out to me first, And I say, I always say, like, I get that, But then I'm not doing my job.

01:20:46
Speaker 2: I don't.

01:20:46
Speaker 10: I'm not an insider, so that's not my job. Like my job is to analyze football, you know, and have an opinion on the football.

01:20:52
Speaker 3: So has there ever been a moment where somebody reached out to you and then it weighed on you afterwards, where you're like, I kind of messed that up, or I should have framed this better because I see where he's coming from.

01:21:07
Speaker 10: No, I would say this. I think every conversation I've had is like afterwards, within a short period of time, you sit there and be like, dang Man, did I did I cross the line? Or do I do I regret saying it that way. I think the one of them I probably could have worded something a little bit differently. I used the phrase coaching malpractice in one that was probably aggressive. I don't know if I regret using it because I felt that way in the in the time, but I understand like how that can come across. I would tell you the only regret I ever have in doing the job on TV was early on. I regret the way that I talked about Dak. I was like pretty hard on Dak early on, not not hard like critical of the performance. I probably went to uh buffoonery over the top one him and Carson WENTZ And that would be the only one that I would probably truly regret, Like, Yeah, if I ever met Dak, I've never met him, I would walk up to him and shake his ind and be like I was wrong. I crossed the line. If he told me to go kick Rocks, I would understand why type of thing?

01:22:18
Speaker 2: Did he ever? Did he ever say anything about the buffoonery that was taking place as Dak Could he ever tweet about it?

01:22:24
Speaker 3: You know?

01:22:25
Speaker 2: Like, no, I don't think tweets.

01:22:26
Speaker 3: I don't think No, I don't think so anyhing like that.

01:22:30
Speaker 2: Dallas fans, Yeah, you might have been one of the was a coaching male practice? Was that referring to the Philadelphia Eagles this past year?

01:22:39
Speaker 10: No? No, but I had I did Siriani did call me? Have I ever told you guys that story? So my wife's a Philly girl, diehard Philly girl, maniac Philly fan. Oh there's one. They're all the same. And so we went out to dinner, and I was pretty critical of the Eagles, and I was pretty critical of Sirianni. And all of a sudden, we're just about pulling into our driveway and I didn't have his number, so I don't know how, but a phone call pops up and it says Nick Sirianni, And she looks at me from the passenger seat and she's like, oh my gosh. And I look at him like what, And she's like, are you going to answer that? And I'm like, of course I'm going to answer that. So I pull into the garage, I answer the phone, and she is like sweating. She she will not move, She's out of her mind, nervous. And we talked for fifteen minutes. It was a great conversation. That's the only time I've talked to him on the phone type of thing. Great conversation. No, no bad feelings, nothing like that. But she would not move, she would not get out of the car.

01:23:42
Speaker 3: She was so nervous.

01:23:43
Speaker 2: I love that the Philly fan base is out of hand their maniacs. That that's the best company you can get as a fan base. Oh, very nice, very Either they don't get very loud all those things, or you can put that to the side. Psychopaths, grease the polls, you better watch out. If they win something, then cars are getting flipped over. That's the kind of fan base I want.

01:24:03
Speaker 3: He can talk about our team, you can't talk exactly.

01:24:06
Speaker 2: Yeah. The fact that they're booing the they're booing their home team at halftime when they're up by only three points is just that's the kind of fan base wouldn't want to play for it, probably couldn't handle it very well.

01:24:17
Speaker 10: Yeah, dude, but when you're good, it's awesome.

01:24:19
Speaker 2: Yeah. But yeah, if you're Jason Kelsey, you might have the best life. Hey yeah, of all time. So you're a.

01:24:25
Speaker 3: Regretful phrase is coaching malpractice? It's not.

01:24:29
Speaker 10: I don't regret that phrase. No, but I can understand, like from a coach's perspective, having someone go on TV and say that, Like, I can understand him being like ticked off about it. Yeah, But I don't know if I regret it because I felt it, like I truly felt it.

01:24:43
Speaker 3: What about how many big games does he won?

01:24:47
Speaker 10: But that that was so taken out of context, dude, And it doesn't The reason why I haven't explained it because it doesn't make it doesn't do anything. It doesn't make sense, Like it's wrong. No, So this is this is the story of that. That's the story of that. I think I had made the Simpson comments the day before Pat FaceTime to me, you're an idiot, you're dah blah blah. Come on the show tomorrow, I said, I got a ton to go on, but I I'll there's a group of people that I always say yes to like Greenie Greeney. He my first chance on TV, essentially, like I always say yes to him, Schrager, steven A, Pat because they've given me so many opportunity. Okay, I got it, run, I'm in my car. I obviously know what Patt's gonna get into, so I have done my research as well. And so in the moment we're having the conversation and he makes the comment of all these big games, and I say, in the literal sense, okay, what big game? Because I wanted to talk about what specific big game and it just went like deep butts in a back ron going to college football player, and then Pat went forever I was trying to talk. That's when you see me look out the window. I'm like, I know how this is gonna go, because I was like talking about a workman Iowa Penn State Big Ten title, Natty, Like I wanted to know what specific big game he wanted to get into, because those big games, to me, I don't.

01:26:07
Speaker 3: Like.

01:26:07
Speaker 10: I watched the Iowa game and I'm like, I don't think Fernando plays well, has a nice comeback. He throws a slant versus cover zero, and it's a broken tack over sixty five. But I'm not like the Penn State game. He doesn't play good. Now, great drive, great drive, great drive, the lead drive, but he doesn't play good in the game, big game, the big ten title game. Doesn't play good big game. It makes a big throw late. Yeah, but like, yes, yes, he gets he's clutched. He's national title again. Doesn't play good. He's clutch, no doubt.

01:26:37
Speaker 2: Nice run, but he got eating up a couple of times, got back up.

01:26:42
Speaker 10: But that was that was the big game.

01:26:45
Speaker 2: Other than the national championship.

01:26:46
Speaker 10: I don't know, but that was the big game thing. It wasn't like whoo big games. It was like, okay, what what literal big?

01:26:51
Speaker 3: How fun for you? Going viral? You're probably in great swap with the profile photo as well. Yeah, that's it.

01:26:57
Speaker 10: I stole that from d But I think the internet's a funny place to be. You mean, you guys live on it, right for you. I grew up on it as well, right because that's how I got the open opening to go work at ESPN and auditions was I started posting breakdowns on social media. I was never a big social media fan, so like I, I have great appreciation for it. I give an awareness of like the power of it, and I know, I know, don't go on, but sometimes I just get sucked into the vortex of it. I was top twenty four hours.

01:27:32
Speaker 2: Man, oh you got stuff to the vortex at that point that when I said that, that was a twenty four to forty eight hours stretch where it was like, this is a lot everyone.

01:27:41
Speaker 3: Then he drops the kindness quote. The next morning.

01:27:44
Speaker 10: No, that was that night that day that I was taking my son to tennis practice and he had to get his thing as racket restrung and it was right like walking into the tennis store and I was like, all right, I'll fire this one out there. Probably shouldn't have.

01:28:00
Speaker 2: Your worst feeling and putting out a tweet just trying to put out a fire or somebody you're like the.

01:28:04
Speaker 10: Dumbest thing, Like it's the dumbest thing. It's because I'm I know, don't go to the mansions, don't do it, but I do.

01:28:13
Speaker 2: Yeah, especially when you get older, it's more fun though.

01:28:16
Speaker 3: Especially when that situation that what big games and the the meme photo, like the meme that came of it, it was it was peak.

01:28:23
Speaker 10: You texted me. I think I said, how you doing. Yeah, you texted me like a nice shoot, and then you sent me a voice a voice thing because you texted me, and I fired back at you like something.

01:28:34
Speaker 3: I forget what it was, but you were and then you're like end of me.

01:28:38
Speaker 2: Here. There's been a couple of times that will Is put you in a box, push you in a corner. During ESPN, you and Hawk love the kind of.

01:28:46
Speaker 3: You're talking about like a breakfast club.

01:28:48
Speaker 2: No, right afters after the show, after we finished the show, you're talking about around top ten. Don't dude, you sound so sometimes you've had some take one that was going around when we were talking about yeah, and then I'm like, name me. I was like, here, I got a list right here, but fourteen.

01:29:04
Speaker 3: But you're not, You're not breaking And then you're like and then you're like, you gotta stop thinking to some context.

01:29:15
Speaker 2: So we are there's an argument about Jalen Hurts the season that he had this past year. People are kind of going at the o C. But is it also Jealen Hurts and look at aj Brown. All these guys seemed mad at him. So at some point during the season, you're talking about Jaileen Hurts, stop in quarterback. Will took the stance of no, he's not right now, that's not that's not the case. Once that started to go down, during commercial breaks, I would just see Will looking up things and writing down thingspeds. I'm like, dude, we've done the work, like we know what's coming out. We've already talked about all the things. I have no idea. As soon as that show ended, you just hit it with fourteen people. And now just I want to give context to the to the viewer out there, because I was like, you.

01:29:52
Speaker 3: Think James is the top ten coura. He's like, yeah, no question, but you.

01:29:57
Speaker 10: The show. I brought a list all right, Like all right, let's go with these, because here's my thing on it is this dude. It's it's an outrageous thing to say that a guy who in the last I think he's been starting for four or five years, I don't know the exact number, is like top five in yards, he's top five in touchdowns. He's gone to the Super Bowl twice, he's been the best player in the Super Bowl both of them, and one MVP and one and won the Super Bowl. It's an outrageous thing to say at that position.

01:30:24
Speaker 3: When you're talking about achievement. Yeah, first, but that's my point.

01:30:27
Speaker 10: But and I also said, if we took them all out, all the quarterbacks out into the field and just threw it, I wouldn't have Jalen as a top ten player.

01:30:34
Speaker 3: No, you eventually said that when you realize.

01:30:36
Speaker 10: No, that's always been my stand.

01:30:40
Speaker 3: And then all we do, like our crew, all we do is just talk about how you're so dumb, get better, be better. Yeah.

01:30:46
Speaker 2: And then at breakfast Club, Dan, we'll just hear a question, he'll just answer it. So a matter of fact, So a matter of fact, Hey, if this receiver was on the same he goes sixteen hundred yards. Shit, Dan, as you way, if there's too many analysts are scared of being wrong, that's my true belief.

01:31:03
Speaker 3: Because what was the game? Was it the Packers game going into their playoff game against.

01:31:08
Speaker 10: The Bears, And I was like, I don't think that. I don't see how how the Bears went.

01:31:13
Speaker 3: Yeah, I think. I came up to you breakfast Club and I was like, hey, who you got this weekend on the Packers Bears. You're like, well, Packers, they're going to kill him.

01:31:19
Speaker 2: I was so right.

01:31:20
Speaker 3: So You're like, they're going to kill him.

01:31:22
Speaker 2: I was right for three quarters.

01:31:26
Speaker 10: I was so right, dude, I was so you've ever been.

01:31:31
Speaker 2: So.

01:31:32
Speaker 10: On the background of that is when I first got into TV, someone was like, you're not expected to be right in this business, Like that's not your job. I totally disagree with that. What's the fudging point of doing all the work If I don't want to be right? Anybody can literally go say anything and be not not worry about being wrong, Like I want to be right, dude. So the most wrong I've been. I mean, this is a little bit of a in the moment, I was like, Carson Wentz is better than Dak. I was right for a year. Felt good about that.

01:32:05
Speaker 2: One apologize to Dak on this show. Ten minutes later, it was like, Carson Wentz is better than that.

01:32:12
Speaker 10: I was right for the year. I Anthony Richardson could be up there. I thought Richardson would be a better player. I was like, I would. I would highly like entertain taking him number one overall that year? Other than that, has there ever been a struggle other than that?

01:32:35
Speaker 2: And even if he's talking with his losses, he talks about how right he was for that final has there ever been Have you ever had a struggle getting into this business after being an athlete for most of your life being critical of athletes? Oh yeah.

01:32:48
Speaker 10: I think the two hardest things for me are one being critical of people that I have relationships with because I know you have to do it, and those relationships are important to me, and like loyalty and friendship, and I mean I only played team sports, and I come from like a broken family, so my teammates were my family. Like I loved my teammates more than I loved my family. So like if you are a teammate of mine, it is that those those are some moments that are hard for me. I think the second thing, it's probably the most prominent thing, is like it was a little bit of a struggle and I still conscious of it, Like I gotta go on and be critical. Patrick mahomes me, I was a backup for twelve years, Like that's a.

01:33:32
Speaker 3: Little bit in the forever. Well, but that's true.

01:33:40
Speaker 10: Yeah you know, yes, of course, yeah dude, yeah, yeah, Like you actually you're telling me that this guy's not playing good, or you're telling me that I gotta like, I gotta be critical of guys that are obviously clearly. I mean, everyone's a better player than me essentially at that position, you know, if we're talking about them, So I'm conscious of it. It was probably something that was on my mind a little bit more before or starting of my career, but nowadays, I just want to do the job better than everybody else. That's all I want to do. And if guys hate me for it, they hate me for it. If I crossed the line, I will be honest with myself and apologize, like I did with the CJ stuff this year.

01:34:21
Speaker 2: But is there how long did that take you in the eight years you've been in the industry to like get to the point where you're like, at the end of the day, I'm just trying to be the best at mindself. Yeah.

01:34:30
Speaker 10: I think it was probably my third or fourth year into business.

01:34:35
Speaker 2: It was.

01:34:35
Speaker 10: I think it was the twenty twenty or twenty one season was when first NFL Live first kind of got together and started to gain a little bit of traction of like, Okay, we're trying to do this show the right way. We're halfway through the season. I don't think Patrick was playing well, and I remember just having the thought in my mind of previous weeks of being like, man, mechanically he's really bad right now, and mechanically he's really bad right now, mechanically bad right now. And it got to the point that I called our producer Mike Eisman, and I was like, Hey, I want to do a tape on Mahomes. I think right now he's mechanically the worst quarterback in football. And he was like, you sure you want to do that? And I said, I'm completely aware of who I am. I'm completely aware who Patrick is. You just got to trust me, like this is, this is I've got to do this, like this is what's going on. And I did it and I felt like I did it the right way. And yeah, so I think like that was a turning point for me to be like, just do it the right way, Like if you do it the right way and if you're if you show why you are saying what you're saying. I always believe, like the tape that we know that ex player. So like three or four years.

01:35:45
Speaker 2: Maybe all right, always right up this episode to bring you form energy. Form Energy delivers best in class taste with natural flavors and zero sugar. Form Energy has natural caffeine to write from green tea form comes in a variety of flavors, so I'm about screaming freedom, grape smashed, blue Blitz, orange free. It is perfect for those who put in the work form energy. We do the work.

01:36:05
Speaker 3: We are also brought to you by Neutral. Neutral tastes great. It tastes so much better than any other celtzer that we've tried out there. It's maybe a real Vodkan and real juice. That's what makes it taste delicious. It comes of a variety of flavors like pineapple, watermelon, black cherry, and their new boys peach and blueberry. It's perfect for social occasions because it is such a crowd pleaser. As the weather warms up, think patio backyard hangs, day drinking, golfing with the boys, beach lake weekends on go and find a bucket deal near you. They're perfect to celebrating being outside again aka time to find a bar with no patios, so text the group chat, grab a bucket of Neutrals and kick it with the boys. It's the perfect time of year to grab a twelve pack of Neutral for the game, or grab a bucket deal in your favorite bar as you root on your team neutral, keep it tasty. What is the ultimate goal in this business for you?

01:36:53
Speaker 2: It's a great question.

01:36:54
Speaker 3: Yeah, a star.

01:36:56
Speaker 10: I think it's always a moving target. I mean, you guys know the media, escape lands gape changes literally by the year, so it's a little bit of a moving target. I've always wanted to be on the most important stuff at the place that I'm at and respected and doing it so right now, like the ultimate goal. I mean, I'm at ESPN, so the ultimate goal would be able to call money in their football. But that's always ever changing thing, you know. So it's like, if I could be on the most important stuff at whatever place I'm employed at and and be respected with what I'm doing, then that's the goal.

01:37:33
Speaker 2: Moving target.

01:37:34
Speaker 3: What's your own show? The Danio.

01:37:39
Speaker 10: Being, I'm being dead honesty. I don't think I would be good on my own show. I don't have I I'm better like being around people that are better than me. Like then, I don't think I could like run my own show, command my own show, be good on my own show, Like I'm much better on TV when I'm with Marcus. Then I'm not with Marcus, And I don't know why because I think, well, because Mark is just like he brings just out the best.

01:38:03
Speaker 2: Of you type thing. Yeah when did so we goalb about them home saying essentially it's like, Okay, I can be critical without being insulting. That's that's essentially with the line you came across and uh, when I when I just think about our experience you've had this past fall with you, what was so impressive to me? Obviously as the operation that ESPN as incredible Greeney the way he's essentially OCD, but he like runs the entire room the whole time, and you'd sit in your little zoom called dark Liit and you just have a you have a tape for everything? Yes, Like how what is your process like to find this tape? Because there's I mean, every single week, there's so many games that take place. How do you fixate on Okay, I need to watch these games? Do you watch every single game? Then do you break down you find the games that are most important to you and then break down the film of those games and through those you're like, hey, what's the leading storyline here? For me? Like? How is your process? Truly? I'm just trying to get inside ball from my own self? How do I kind of grow in this. I never watch I'd never go into a game trying to find anything. I just watched the game, kind of like how I did as a player. On Sunday.

01:39:09
Speaker 10: I usually have a pretty good idea on Monday morning from our producers that will be on Monday Morning shows, of like these are the games that we're most likely going to talk about. There's usually a group of five to seven, depending on the time of the year. Sunday, I'll start rewatching the games that happened at one o'clock. At about five o'clock, I will rewatch all the important Sunday games. Sunday night I start at five. I probably go to about eleven or twelve. I don't watch Sunday night football. I wake up at four o'clock on Monday morning. I watch Sunday Night Football five o'clock five thirty or so, hop in the car will I will rewatch And after every one of those games, I take videos to make those tapes. So I take videos of every game, two different videos, one my thoughts on the game, and I give like one of the thing things that I learned at Get Up was I don't I don't like watching football or sports analysis, and the highlight is a generic highlight and the person's talking about something that I'm not seeing. So like, I'll watch the game, okay, second quarter Commanders versus the Eagles, and I'll say, like, hey, the Commanders ran the football really well to the perimeter, and so I'll sell them second quarter eight thirty three, third quarter nine forty one, fourth quarter six fifteen. So like the highlight is what I want it to be type of thing. So I'll give them that in my thoughts on the game, and then I'll give them tapes that i want breaking broken down, like I want not every game like three.

01:40:37
Speaker 2: You know, at TV, you.

01:40:38
Speaker 10: Gotta prioritize things, So I'll break down literally like four or five minute videos that get cut into like ten second tapes, Like I want you to highlight this receiver when he gets the five yards. I want you to point an arrow going in give me the quarterbacks eyes, and so I send those so the editors overnight can cut those for Monday morning. On the ride in Monday morning, I'll watch another game. So usually by Monday morning I've had like six to seven games watched. Do Monday TV hop in the car, go to Bristol, that's two hours. I'll watch two more games on the way in on the ride home from NFL Live. It's about an hour home from my house, and this is if we're not traveling, so I'll watch another game. So usually by Monday night, give or take, I've seen eight to ten games with the same process, and then Tuesday wake up, watch three or four more. Wednesday, usually finish the games every snap. So by Wednesday you're cooking, yeah, when by Thursday I'm dead. But that's why Thursday morning for me was like such a blessing with you guys this year, honestly, because like it was a lot of fun. You know, it was still a good amount of football for me because I am a little bit like on the nerdy football side, but a good balance of like just having fun and saying crazy stuff. I don't think you can go on TV and say wrong things nowadays because of social media. Like I think, if you're a sports analyst, you go on TV and you say something that's wrong, you're dead. You can say something that's maybe opinionated, and people are you're out of your mind. But if I went on TV and was like man, Jalen Hurts, a AJ Brown's connection. It's just absolutely perfect. You're you're dead. Like because of social media, it gets clipped off, it gets spread like wildfire, and like you're gonna get disproven. So like I don't have a comfort level of talking about stuff unless I've seen it, So like there's a there's a paranoia about it in that as well.

01:42:29
Speaker 3: Is there a wall that you hit during the season?

01:42:31
Speaker 10: Oh yeah, like middle of November, second week of November. I'm like, please God, just get to November. Are the Thanksgiving and then you get to the middle of December. It kind of sucks because more often than not, like you know who the playoff teams are and you know who the playoff teams aren't, but you still got to watch the non playoff teams because you just never know. Team could win four in a row, later three in a row, late, team could lose, and then all of a sudden, you're going to the playoffs and you look like an idiot because of my ego. Well, I also like to shoot my shot, like on this team's three and six, but I can see them getting into it, you know, and if you're not watching tape, I don't think you can do that.

01:43:10
Speaker 2: So yeah, how much after the football season, because so as we get the Super Bowl and my brain is that was a lot. I can't wait to get a little essentially a break from football for a little bit. When do you start to get the bug again? Like right now, I'm sitting here at the draft and I'm like, you know what, I could use some ball right now. But you catch me in the middle of March Saint Patty's Day, I'm not thinking. I don't even want to talk about ball. I'm not thinking about ball at all. What's your How long do you get away from the season before you're like, oh yeah, probably like good three weeks.

01:43:42
Speaker 10: I would be longer if I could, but I can't because of you know, like the draft coming up. I think one of the things I learned and probably my second or third year at ESPN, and I say this respectfully and so hopefully people don't take it out of context. The best thing about ESPN is it's twenty four to seven, so great opportunity. The worst thing about ESPN is it's twenty four to seven, so like there's a lot of work, you know, and I think if you're not. One of the things I learned was like you got to be so disciplined to get away, because if you're not disciplined getting away, you can work for years straight and not turned it off, and then I think your work suffers. Like I remember again my second or third year calling Seth Markman, who's one of the executives at ESPN, and I said, I need time away, like I need and he was like, that's not necessarily how it goes. And I was like, if you want me to be the best in October, like I have to get away. So I try to do it as much as I can. And then probably like second week of March is when I'll start to really dive into the college kids, and that takes a good month or so. And by the middle of April like very confident going into the draft stuff. But and then after the draft probably still stay somewhat locked in to like schedule release, and then literally from middle of May to try to be like the middle of August, like turn it off, turn it off.

01:45:08
Speaker 3: Do you enjoy doing the draft?

01:45:10
Speaker 10: I love it.

01:45:11
Speaker 3: To break it down the college prospect, I love it.

01:45:13
Speaker 2: I love it.

01:45:13
Speaker 3: You feel like you were good at it? Yes, like guys that are who are guys that are flourishing right now in the league that you're like, I knew that was gonna be a fucking guy.

01:45:21
Speaker 10: I was a okay so I started in eighteen. So going back to then, I was a Josh guy. I was a Lamar guy. But like I also liked Josh Rosen. I thought Josh Rosen would be a better player than he was. I was a Sam guy, was a Baker guy. I was a love guy cam Wood last year. I loved Jaden Drake. I was a fan of Calebs. But you know, it was controversial because I was like, I like Jayden Moore. I also like JJ McCarthy. So I've had missus for sure. But those guys, now, you're a Ty Simpson guy I am.

01:46:09
Speaker 2: And he didn't bring up Jaalen Hurts once. I was critical of when Philly took Jayalen fourth round, right, that's they had second they had his boy Carson, that's right, and he was swinging the flag for Carson. Yeah. Yeah, So what is going on? Why do you dislike Panda Mendoza? That is, I don't dislike him. You look at that guy on the field. How do you not just be like that.

01:46:30
Speaker 3: I've never seen him in your mind? What is uh, banana Mendoza's overall rating in Madden.

01:46:37
Speaker 10: Oh Man, trying to give me in trouble again. I don't know what our rookies generally scaled lower. I don't play video games generally scaled low like in the seventies.

01:46:49
Speaker 3: Could be uh, it would be higher, like he's going higher if you were like what was camis low eighties eighty three?

01:46:56
Speaker 10: Probably I would probably.

01:46:59
Speaker 2: Eighty four to.

01:47:00
Speaker 3: Seventy eight range in these first round Yeah, I would have like seventy five. Then you'd have Mendoza seventy five, eighty four to seventy eight. You're saying seventy five.

01:47:10
Speaker 10: I like caim Ward as a prospect better than Fernando.

01:47:12
Speaker 2: Yes, what are the what are the discrepancies you're saying where you got Ty Simpson?

01:47:18
Speaker 10: I would probably have Ty Simpson probably around seventy five.

01:47:22
Speaker 2: S last year before Thanks for.

01:47:26
Speaker 10: Clarification there, we go. Can't just be wrong. So yeah, yeah, seventy two before the season season it went up. Then I would probably have him at seventy sixty eight, seventy something like that.

01:47:38
Speaker 3: What do you want to say? Sixty nine?

01:47:40
Speaker 10: That's where my thermostatus sat in the house.

01:47:42
Speaker 2: Nice, nice, cool.

01:47:45
Speaker 3: So you got you got ty, you got Ty Simpson. My wife's too cold in the same vein. So if you got Fernando out of seventy, you're putting tied at a seventy.

01:47:52
Speaker 10: Yes, this is the way that Like, I okay, So I just watched the tape. When I started watching Fernando's this year, I was like, ah, okay, Like I'm not. I wasn't blown away. And then as I watched it more and more, I was sitting there going, man, every throw is like a one on one throw to the perimeter. It's a hitch rout, it's a stop route, it's a go route, it's a back shoulder and they're well executed. But I'm like, I don't know, that's not real life in the NFL that consistently you got to make those throws occasionally, yes, And then you know, I thought like at times when you know, everyone talks about the accuracy and no doubt it's there, but like I feel like he knows who he's throwing the football too, more often than not before he gets the ball. Because one of my notes, I've got my notes with me. One of my notes, I'm like, yo, why does everyone run man coverage against them. I think Indiana saw so much man coverage now in part because they ran so many RPOs and they would get a five yard hitch would turn because surrat was a difficult tackle. Coop Junior Becker came on, Like the five yard hitch would turn into a fifteen yard game. So then you got to play man. But then they're gonna become the go route back shoulder out and so like I think a lot of times he knew he was gonna throw the ball too, so he'd get his body in good position. He'd make good throws all that. But then I thought sometimes where he would like go to set the one one wasn't there because maybe a guy backed off or cover change, and I would immediately see this, Like I always like, if you do this, that's a concern of mine. Like your head goes down, your eyes are going down because you look at yeah, and I'm doing a tape on that tomorrow, So like that's a that's a concern of mine. No prospects perfect, And I think that when you when you take away that first read for him, which just didn't happen a lot. He just doesn't have a lot of experience of having to go through progressions like that where like they're down the field and ty Simpson's going deep post to deep cross the backside in like those are real, real reads that we see guys, and he's just clip clipping them off, you know. And so maybe it's like a style of quarterback that like I see a lot on Sundays, or we see a lot on Sundays because I'm like, oh, this is what party looks like. And Baker looks like and C. J. Stroud looked like, and Matthew Stafford looked like, and Jordan Love looked like like I'm watching those guys go fee and I'm like, oh, yeah, that's that's so that's kind of where I got to. And I didn't think the ty Simpson fall off was nearly as exaggerated and bad as people made it out to be.

01:50:24
Speaker 3: Personally, yeah, because you kind of fell in love with him during this problem.

01:50:27
Speaker 10: I think he's a good player, man, I don't. I wouldn't take him at one, you know, people again I said I would, he would be my first, my QB one. I couldn't take him at one because the fifteen starts, but I would take him at twenty. Absolutely I'd take him at fifteen to twenty absolutely, absolutely.

01:50:44
Speaker 2: I think there's just a specific bet you can make on that, right obviously when this is out, yeah, over under twelve, pick twenty eight, twenty eight and a half under twenty. So basically you're saying, like, it's Fernando gonna be a second round pick, our first round pick or not for Ti Simpson and I just there.

01:51:07
Speaker 10: If he had twenty three starts, no shot he'd be a second round pick, and he doesn't. So I get that. I get that, but fudge, dude, the tape is the tape man?

01:51:19
Speaker 2: Do you don't think to fall off? Like I'm a huge Ty Simpson fan, friend of the show Young Wolf, the whole thing. But to me, when we were watching college football, I don't know if it was like after the Georgia game. I don't know what game specifically it was, it was like, holy shit, like this guy's for real.

01:51:34
Speaker 10: It's first Georgia game probably yeah for oh yeah yeah.

01:51:37
Speaker 2: But then like I think it was like week eight nine something like that, like it really started to kind of do this.

01:51:42
Speaker 10: We ten maybe yeah, but dude, they like I think one of the things that and I don't want to be an a hole, but like Alabama stunk. Yeah, they were not Alabama that we know of Alabama, like we we ran because we did it on the show today. They were one hundred and tenth in college football in pass protection this year, one hundred and tenth. They were one hundred I think in thirtieth running the football what and they were one hundred and twenty ninth in drops. They were bad. I think like I think Alabama was like a very very being kind average football team this year.

01:52:19
Speaker 2: They Yeah, they had a lot of talent which got them to the nation. Oh yeah, I think they're incredibly talented football team. Look at Ryan Williams. He hit the year he had clearly was not the year you needed. But the year before that's like everything has to happen.

01:52:30
Speaker 10: Yeah, so I get for both.

01:52:31
Speaker 2: Booke nd tackles or five stars athletes. One guy was a redshirt sophomore. You look at their their defense, at their front sevens always in the upper four, upper five. Like from a talent perspective, sure, they're always going to be a top fifteen roster.

01:52:43
Speaker 3: I just they want to play it. They shouldn't have been a playoffs.

01:52:46
Speaker 10: Notre Dame should have been in timeout.

01:52:48
Speaker 2: WHOA, that's not true, bro, you know that's true.

01:52:52
Speaker 10: And Miami going to the national title only stamps that.

01:52:57
Speaker 3: I believe that.

01:52:58
Speaker 2: Notre Dame was a better football team at the game of the year than what Alabama. Then Alabama, however, the biggest knock on Alabama was the SEC championship. Who earned the right to go to a championship game?

01:53:08
Speaker 3: And they got their Florida State.

01:53:10
Speaker 2: About everybody else in the first game of the year, Alabama the first game of the year with Notre Dame in Miami in the second game then too, and then look at the rest of their You're talking about the totality of Miami three or four points Miami and then A and m and they didn't play anybody after that, They didn't play anyone.

01:53:26
Speaker 3: I'm getting their ship pushed in the SEC championship game and getting.

01:53:31
Speaker 2: Gets their ship pushed in Yes, but while Bama and Georgia are playing, every other team in the SEC is sitting at home. How is that right to.

01:53:38
Speaker 10: We're in a different time of the college football too.

01:53:41
Speaker 3: I'm not arguing that point.

01:53:42
Speaker 10: Who are the good who are the really good SEC teams this year?

01:53:46
Speaker 3: Out of Miami, Notre Dame and SEC really good SEC teams.

01:53:52
Speaker 2: Georgia, Georgia. I thought Texas A and m O Miss Miss. I think Old went on a rage run though Texas.

01:54:02
Speaker 3: You can't Texas.

01:54:04
Speaker 2: So it's like it wasn't like the SEC was like this, Yeah, the SEC has kind of been you know, and I alas changed a lot.

01:54:11
Speaker 10: Greeney was saying to me today, me and Marcus. He thinks there will be one SEC kid drafted into the first thirteen picks. Really, it's crazy.

01:54:21
Speaker 2: Change the guard, man, change the guard for real. That being said, the point you just tried to argue was how college football structure. The point I'm arguing is based on the landscape.

01:54:30
Speaker 3: We live in now.

01:54:31
Speaker 2: You can't hurt a team for affording the ability to go to a place and play in a game that every other team wants to get into.

01:54:39
Speaker 10: What do you mean because they're all they're all bodies of work. A couple of years ago, Florida State Jordan Travis gets hurt. They go and play in the ACC title game. They're awful without them, awful without him. I was on the next morning, I was like, cannot put them.

01:54:52
Speaker 2: In, and they weren't in. But that was when it was four picks. But then we get if we get into that same situation, there's twelve of teams, they're the seventh or eighth seed.

01:55:02
Speaker 3: But even out of Miami Notre Dame.

01:55:05
Speaker 2: So's it's the world we live in. You can't penalize. You can't penalize with the landscape we have right now, with how many playoff spots we have. And I know you see, I feel my boy feeling a little blood in the water right now because that.

01:55:16
Speaker 3: Blood in the water. I just know you also wanted Vanderbilt over both Miami and Notre Dame. When Vanderbilt and Diego Pave and Kane were sitting on the bus and they were talking about out of the three, who you have in I was like, my thought was Notre Dame. I was like, I mean, yeah, I.

01:55:30
Speaker 2: Seement doesn't play. It doesn't have legs because of what Miami was able to do in the playoffs. But if you looked at like the Conference of ACC versus SEC, which are more comparable now than they were when we were originally had this conversation, Vanderbilt was a more competitive team in my eyes than Miami at the time. Because Miami really wanted to play anybody. They did lose the Louisville they lost to sam here. So I'm thinking to myself, like, you lose to these teams, they know way you're doing ship in the playoffs, they're going to get in because they have to over Notre Dame because there's no way Notre Dame could get in Miami couldn't get in.

01:56:05
Speaker 10: And also, do we have to look at do we have to you guys are a little bit more entrenched into the college world. Do we have to look at how you're evaluating teams differently now because of the portal teams are so portal heavy now that your team it's it's almost like free agency in the NFL, where your team I think it carries a little bit away, but it can be very different.

01:56:26
Speaker 3: The year. Yeah, the year is still going to play out the way it plays out.

01:56:28
Speaker 2: Or like, do you have are you a team that has seven guys that have played college football for five years already and so and you're playing against the team in September that has five true freshmen starters? And like, do those true freshmen evolve over the course of ten weeks to become significantly better? And are they as good as those seven fifth year or six year seniors. You know, like, how do how do people evaluate what teams are now because the team roster changes so much that it you more than it used to.

01:57:01
Speaker 3: Yeah, I think just that inside ball right there, you know who you're gonna put your money on. But as far as developing, like the year is still going to play out the way it plays out, Yeah, you know what I mean, Like with Indiana where they're not a team can like start lower and then they just continue to climb the rankings and everything else. To me, it's all system are. I feel like the system is not is not in the right place to Again, you have two G five teams in Miami honestly only got in because Duke won the a SEC titles.

01:57:24
Speaker 2: Correct, and if they dated the Duke didn't win, they're not getting in.

01:57:28
Speaker 3: Yeah, Miami's not getting in. It would have been notre name in And who is Virginia. Virginia was in the a c C.

01:57:32
Speaker 2: Yeah, Virginia would have been the a SEC representative.

01:57:35
Speaker 3: So I feel like those elements need to be solved. In college football. It seems like we're going to twenty four teams next year.

01:57:41
Speaker 2: That is that confirmed or I think that's still alleged because I think that's the argument, because the argument that takes place is we're at twelve now. One conference, let's just say it's the Big ten want more, but the other conferences don't. So they propose a twenty four knowing.

01:57:58
Speaker 3: Big ten, big time one, knowing them big time once, a twenty fourteen playoffs, knowing they.

01:58:02
Speaker 2: Will end up at sixteen. The number they want is not twenty four. The number they want to sixteen.

01:58:06
Speaker 3: That's just the negotiation takes place.

01:58:08
Speaker 2: But as far as evaluating teams, yeah, I think that's gonna happen. We're in the process of that right now. Like now there is Hey, you got your recruiting class in top one, top fifty, whatever your recruiting class is. But there's a whole thing for the transfer portal as well, and that's gotten more of a microscope put on it because there's only one transfer portal this time. Last year, there were kids essentially transferring right now because there were two windows, one before spring and one after. So the I think the breakdown of like seeing the level of what team you could have, yeah, that plays a big part. But I think a lot of people are taking the easy way of being like who spent the most money LSU Texas Tech House state, Like, Okay, those teams are gonna be good. We know those teams will be good. Yeah, and so what's that? Yeah, it's staying out.

01:58:50
Speaker 3: I know this year? Do we know?

01:58:51
Speaker 2: Can you?

01:58:52
Speaker 3: Okay?

01:58:52
Speaker 2: They don't know the biggest problem to me is is the argument we're talking about.

01:58:57
Speaker 3: Might some ass no, no.

01:59:02
Speaker 2: A little something?

01:59:03
Speaker 10: Did you.

01:59:04
Speaker 2: Light of like a while ago? But I'm thinking, like recently I haven't. Maybe I'm adjusting and a fluffed stomach kind of got an iron gut dude, nothing really.

01:59:17
Speaker 10: Really do you ever get sick?

01:59:19
Speaker 2: No?

01:59:20
Speaker 3: I know?

01:59:21
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I guess. I guess red meat and sugar, red and meat rit Do you remember I couldn't make it one week because I had gout? Yeah?

01:59:28
Speaker 3: Wait do you? You did make it? Right?

01:59:32
Speaker 2: I made it that week and it started the week of Halloween when I halloween these outfits. The next week I was dying still like how is my foot still have this? The following week was when I was in the wheelchair, Derek was pushing me around.

01:59:43
Speaker 10: What does that have to do with red meat?

01:59:45
Speaker 2: So it's okay, So red meat's high and peering. There's a lot of different you can go. Yeah, you can go google a bunch of different meats or different foods that are high in peering peering. If you have too much peeriing or like your liver doesn't break down enough, it puts in. What period will do is it'll go down to the lower extremities, so like toes, foot ankles, sometimes even the knee. I've heard about people having in their hip, but the lower extremities. And what it'll do is we'll find a joint and it'll crystallize in that area. And that's essentially what gout is. So it causes this insane flare up that takes place. It's called the King's disease because like a bunch of guys in like medieval times, like kings all the wine. Yeah, you don't die from gout. You're just in excruciating pain. It's like it's it's the worst thing I've ever gone through. You could do right, Oh, I guess you could get septic, yeah, and worst come to worst, But yeah, gout, dude, it ain't no joke. In your foot balloons up and it's like if a draft of wind comes by your foot, it's like it hurts that bad. If a fly lands on your toe, it's like the worst pain you feel everything.

02:00:50
Speaker 10: Do you remember when do you remember in gosh? I was playing with Tampa Bay in maybe twelve or thirteen. Do you remember Carl Nix? You remember that name, a big.

02:01:05
Speaker 2: Guard from the Nebraska Boy Nebraska the Saints, and we signed him to a big contract.

02:01:12
Speaker 10: He got some type of like infection stars maybe or something like that.

02:01:16
Speaker 2: That sounds dramatic.

02:01:18
Speaker 10: He this is maybe like a little bit of trying to put all the pieces of a story together. I think it got so bad and he like cut open the infection on a boat or something like that and took like a spoon and like branded it or like seared the wound shut. Oh my god, yeah, cause he was in so much pain or something like that. For me, he like cut it open, put it on a flame, took a spoon or something like that and like sealed the wound and it became a big dang and whatnot. And I think it, like, you know, quickly ended his career type of thing.

02:01:54
Speaker 2: Yeah, no doubt. How to be alcohol involved in that, I don't know that. I don't know that, but he was like places it. Why do it on a boat? Dude?

02:02:01
Speaker 10: I think it got I think it was to a point where like the infection got so bad and he was so in pain with it or something like that. Dude, I get that.

02:02:10
Speaker 2: Nick what rcer? Okay? Yeah, yeah, what tears What tears you up? The most?

02:02:17
Speaker 10: Uh? Plant based proteins?

02:02:20
Speaker 2: Okay, brother, brother, you're the problem. Is just an alpha males.

02:02:27
Speaker 10: Man, watch out. I eat a lot of fruit, so I'm pretty good with that. But plant brace plant based proteins are like the thing that like at peas hard pass. Other than that, I'm pretty good because I don't eat a lot of food.

02:02:43
Speaker 2: You don't need a lot of food. Yeah, I could tell obviously, Why don't you?

02:02:48
Speaker 3: We got some fan questions here. It's one of some cow ripkin cow vy on Instagram. What are the Bills need to do to get over the hump and reach the super Bowl?

02:03:01
Speaker 10: There you go, Yeah, it's not that hard. Don't give up thirty on defense every playoff game. So I think that just like they've been searching for difference makers on defense, like closers. They tried it with Vaughn. They don't have a person or two people on defense that like you get into those big games late in playoff games and find a way to like hold somebody to a field goal rather than a touchdown. So you know, Josh obviously probably played maybe his worst playoff game of his career when it came to turnovers this year. But they gotta find ways to get my closers on defense.

02:03:39
Speaker 2: My big fan of Josh Allen. I cannot believe it halftime against the Broncos him running with the ball like the way he was and getting it stripped. Yeah, where they got to go and get three or right before half? Just I can He makes plays like that all the time. It just happened to be like in that moment ball fumbled. Yeah, but thirteen seconds left around like the twenty five yard line, Like where are you going your money?

02:04:01
Speaker 10: I mean, because he's the type of player that, like I somehow spin around again, throw it for seventy and he'll die.

02:04:06
Speaker 2: He'll die on the field. Yeah, gotta love that. This one comes from Lotus unders Sam. What was the most difficult part about the transition from professional athlete to being a dad and how did you overcome it?

02:04:19
Speaker 10: Uh, there was nothing hard from being for me professional athlete to dad. I knew early on. Like I mentioned, I come from like a broken family, so like wanting to be a dad and like be a great dad was like something super important to me from gosh, I want to feel like twenty maybe and so like when I met my wife, I felt instantly I was a yo, She's going to be an amazing mom. And I was obviously I found her to be beautiful and whatnot. But like there was no transition for me that was difficult with that stuff.

02:04:50
Speaker 3: Uh, transitioning out of football.

02:04:52
Speaker 10: In regards to dad stuff or I think the hardest part of trindising out of football was like it was like a you know, I lost the love of my life type of thing, Like football is the only thing I loved coming from the broken family, Like football truly changed me as a human being and it gave me by my family was my teammates, Like I mentioned before, so like when football ends, it's like it's over. The childhood dream is done. That's all I ever was. So you and media like who am I? What am I? Am I ever going to replace the competitiveness? Am I ever going to be able to do something like that?

02:05:32
Speaker 2: Again?

02:05:32
Speaker 10: Where am I gonna find my friends? I think like that was probably the biggest part for me, is like, dude, football was like literally gave me everything.

02:05:41
Speaker 3: Yeah, did you know when football was going to end?

02:05:45
Speaker 10: I tried to retire my tenth year. I was like, I'm done with it. I don't know how you guys felt, but like when I went into the NFL, and the NFL is amazing, like it's incredible, but like it got to be.

02:05:56
Speaker 2: I mean, I went to Detroit and we were fudging brutal too. So we two and fourteen, three and thirteen, it's twelve degrees out. We're in the middle of the economic recession. I'm like, the NFL sucks, you know. Like, so I went through so much losing. I got to a point where like I didn't really.

02:06:12
Speaker 10: Love the NFL anymore. It was a job, so I was doing the job, but I didn't love football anymore. So I tried to retire. My my wife was like, why are you going to retire? Like, just stop being so emotional way today. My wife knows I'm dramatic way today, and then kind of see how you feel and whatnot. So I ended up playing three more years and then my McVeigh cut stories great because I knew McVeigh like good game after games, but we were living in Philly. I kind of had thought this was this spring. I kind of thought my career was near the end.

02:06:46
Speaker 2: He called me.

02:06:47
Speaker 10: We were down in the city. He's like, Dana Sean mcvahmily Like, what's up.

02:06:50
Speaker 2: Man.

02:06:51
Speaker 10: He's like, hey, I need you to come my third quarterback this year. I'm like all right, And he was like, listen, you're not gonna take a single snap. You're not gonna play in any preseason games. I just need you to come. Be like a coach, but you're gonna be the third quarterback. And I was like, are you gonna keep three quarterbacks? Like is this a legit thing? He's like, we're gonna keep three quarterbacks. You'll be the third quarterback. You're not gonna do anything.

02:07:10
Speaker 2: I just need.

02:07:10
Speaker 10: I got this young quarterback, Jared Goff. He's a talented he doesn't know a ton of football. Fly out to La. I meet with Jared. I study with Jared every day for hours on hours on hours. In training camp, I went twenty three straight days without taking a rep in training camp. Not a rep the dream, not a rep. Dude goes to a day or two before the final preseason game at that point, No, I don't think so. Day or two before before the final preseason game, Sewan's like, hey, you got to start and play. And I'm like, what, Sean, I haven't done anything. He's like, listen, it is what it is. You're fine, like just going. I'm like, okay, I go play. I think like the second snap of the game, I fumble a snap, I bobble it. I like throw it out of bounds. I don't play good. Cuts cuts come. He calls me and hews off. He's like, hey, Brandon Allen got a cut from Jack said, but we're gonna sign him as our third and I only got Sean. He's like, I'm sorry, dude. He's like, I know what I said, but this opportunity presented itself. We talked football for like ninety minutes after that. He asked me all about football, the team, what needed to get better. And I was just like, thank you. And I called my wife and I was like, hey, it's done. Yeah, And I was like I'm coming home.

02:08:21
Speaker 2: It's over. Thank you. Yeah.

02:08:23
Speaker 10: I knew, dude. I'd like I knew I had run its course. I wasn't good enough.

02:08:27
Speaker 3: Anymore.

02:08:28
Speaker 10: I'm blown away by like Flacco, what he's doing so.

02:08:32
Speaker 3: Was doing his incredible philip Rivers.

02:08:36
Speaker 2: He that that was a bag play. That was an insurance bag play. Brilliant but investigative for insurance fraud. What he just took.

02:08:44
Speaker 10: Look at the philip Rivers an integrity guy, guy.

02:08:46
Speaker 3: Throw and through it again.

02:08:47
Speaker 2: Let's talk about at T Harris fifteen nineteen. Who is he picking to win the Standing Cup?

02:08:53
Speaker 1: Uh?

02:08:53
Speaker 10: Stanley Cup. I'm gonna go with the Who are the two teams that played last night?

02:09:05
Speaker 2: Then? And we're in a good game, Come on, Oilers.

02:09:07
Speaker 10: So the Oilers Pittsburgh's down too low? Are the Oilers good?

02:09:14
Speaker 2: Yeah, they're always They've got, They've got it's been, it's been. David Connor mc david. But we saw the Olympics.

02:09:20
Speaker 3: He's a little talk about hockey.

02:09:23
Speaker 2: Yeah, Connor McDavid. They say he's the next one. But he missed a wide up and uh, he missed a breakaway shot in the Olympics.

02:09:28
Speaker 10: So I'll say Edmonton. And then who has to play opposite I don't know anything behind you?

02:09:31
Speaker 2: You had them, you had them. I yet listen hockey. You did watch the Olympics though right, Oh god, yeah, how fucking nice was unreal? Sorry, let me face on fudging.

02:09:39
Speaker 10: How fudging nuts was that, dude?

02:09:41
Speaker 2: Elite?

02:09:42
Speaker 10: It was awesome, dude, it was awesome.

02:09:44
Speaker 2: There's nothing nothing better than just feeling American.

02:09:47
Speaker 10: Dude when those when that went down, it was like it like it was awesome to watch both. And my daughter plays uh sports with the girl who's got an older sister who goes to a private Rochester school for hockey. Her dad's a hockey guy, and three of the girls that were on that team are from that school, and so we follow it a little bit because of her, and so like watch the girls win and then watch obviously the huge goal.

02:10:11
Speaker 2: It's like, dude, there's a kid I play with. I play with that Michigan Michael Schofield. He was married. He's married to one of the girls that are on the okay A women's hockey team. So we fall a little bit there. But my wife is from Canada from this guy. Yeah, so house house divided four nations. Tournament almost ruined us. Sure, this almost ruined us. But when we won, dude and their family will never have an easy night sleep with me around anymore.

02:10:36
Speaker 10: I think those days are just so cool nowadays because like we live in a different time obviously. Yeah, it was forty fifty years ago, and I think it's like one of the rare days that everyone just feels truly like cool to be American. Yeah, and like we just don't have that a lot nowadays. I guess how we should feel every yea, dude, it's like, finally we're not arguing about the stupidest stuff in the world. Yeah, We're just like, this is cool to be American.

02:10:57
Speaker 3: Yeah, we get the best sports team? Yeah, are the best? This one here from a underscore more one. Which team could really surprise people next year if they have a great draft? For Dannie, which team could really surprise people next year if they have a great draft. I want to pick an actual surprise team. I'll say the Giants, you know, because they have five and ten Tennessee is not there yet.

02:11:28
Speaker 10: I don't think I know you were going like this to me, I know.

02:11:31
Speaker 3: But he did.

02:11:32
Speaker 2: Like last coaching staff, it's kind of like you got dable and you got solid out. Yeah, they're gonna find ways to win that. I still think you gotta get a really good receiver. Yeah, let them them in receiving it as a wide out.

02:11:50
Speaker 10: A chick is gone. So it's like, and I live. Wanda is a nice player.

02:11:53
Speaker 2: But inside I was pretty vocal about one. I'm a big one Dell fan.

02:11:59
Speaker 10: Nice player, but you're not this year?

02:12:03
Speaker 3: Yeah?

02:12:03
Speaker 2: True, but he's dicing anybody up man to man the slot.

02:12:05
Speaker 10: Not sure, but you gotta have outside players.

02:12:08
Speaker 2: Do you like who's a s U cat Jordan Jordan Tyson?

02:12:12
Speaker 10: He reminds me of b Odell. Really dude him or Tate? I'm a tight I would I would take Tyson, Yeah, even would take.

02:12:21
Speaker 2: Was he valub enough to take at four? Or would you trade back? Oh?

02:12:24
Speaker 3: I would take him at four? Okay, I think he's that good. Is that your pick for the Titans?

02:12:29
Speaker 10: I would take him if at four or if I were the Titans. There's a lot of people tie in the defensive Sonny styles or Rvel Reese to it, but like, I hired a defensive my head coach, who I have a track record of taking good players, making them outperformed necessarily their skill set. I spent a ton of money on defense. And it's also like, dude, these is like the next two or three years are really important for cam Ward like really important. So yes, they're important for my team, but like they're really important for the quarterback to take big steps.

02:12:58
Speaker 3: Yeah, sunny styles is going to be alien.

02:13:04
Speaker 10: Yeah in London. That was in London. Those are made from a suit guy in New York. I honestly don't pick my clothes. I swear on everything. I go to my wife, I say I need a suit or I need three suits for Pittsburgh for the draft. She'll go tie or no tie, and I'll say tie or no tie, and that's it. And so she just picks him out and I throw him a suitcase. So she just happened to pick that one out. It was like, I forget the top was like a navy maybe and this was like almost like a like a tan khaki light copper type of color. And I just remember I've had two moments like that on on Monday Night Football. This moment because I remember doing the pregame, going to my phone and being like why is all that activity and like fodge, dude, I'm.

02:13:53
Speaker 2: Like, what what is happened?

02:13:54
Speaker 10: And then the fart the that I did on Monday Night Football, when I think Big Cat did it, I was like fudge dude, this is gonna be another.

02:14:03
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's tough to go through. I have a question here from Underscore Jazz Duke Underscore, it's been over just it's been just over two years since his fart hurt around the world on that day. Has he learned to control his bawel movements on TV?

02:14:18
Speaker 3: I can do it right now if you want me to do.

02:14:21
Speaker 2: No, I'm not gonna fart. Dude.

02:14:23
Speaker 3: You think if you think you can't do it, I can.

02:14:30
Speaker 2: You got the chamber, got the chamber.

02:14:34
Speaker 10: This is like when you said, let's go take a walk.

02:14:39
Speaker 3: Dude.

02:14:40
Speaker 10: Dude, No, dude, the last thing I need to do is do that. I've got enough stuff on the internet about me. That was one hundred percent of winshow wiper.

02:14:51
Speaker 9: Go ahead?

02:14:51
Speaker 3: Man?

02:14:53
Speaker 2: Is that real?

02:14:53
Speaker 10: I just love them out too, But it was a little that better not smell dude his thing?

02:14:58
Speaker 3: Bro, it can't go ahead?

02:15:01
Speaker 2: No, man, say space s space, I'm not gonna do Okay, fair enough?

02:15:03
Speaker 3: Will This one is from Matt Underscore Will Confidence, Dan, When will you admit Jalen hurt?

02:15:15
Speaker 10: That was a gross one, Dude. That's a protein value.

02:15:21
Speaker 3: Hey, that's plant protein.

02:15:27
Speaker 10: And honestly, there's nothing to it, which is a good thing.

02:15:31
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's plant protein right there. Plant that's as ebol with truck. No, that that's a way protein, way protein. I won't do plant protein. Did you write this one? That one supposedly for me?

02:15:43
Speaker 3: Dan? When will you admit Jalen Hurts is not a top ten QB and is the problem in Philly?

02:15:50
Speaker 10: I never said he wasn't part of the problem. Oh, I'm such a good word smith. There's obviously issues. I think it's interesting, like I think there's two quarterbacks that are like highly highly successful quarterbacks that it just feels like massive years for them. One is Jalen Yeah, I'll give you a chance to guess the other one massive years for this like this a big year for him, for the team, for him and the team Joe Burrow without a doubt.

02:16:19
Speaker 9: You know.

02:16:19
Speaker 10: It's like, I know it might be so crazy, far fetched, but just hearing some of the stuff that's come out of Philly and then Chefty this week talking about like hey, the Dexter Lawrence trade they got, like it's these are like massive years for Jalen, Like could if both of those situations go poorly, whether individual performance or team performance, it's not in that league. Far fetched to see those guys not there in twenty seven.

02:16:40
Speaker 3: Would you feel do you feel similar to all with Lamar Jackson?

02:16:44
Speaker 2: No, I don't know.

02:16:46
Speaker 10: Lamar in Baltimore is the future.

02:16:49
Speaker 3: Yeah, like if he has a bad year, because obviously the Ravens underperformed last year. No, I know he was injured, but.

02:16:55
Speaker 2: Yeah, all of the early part of last year was everybody being like Ravens best roster.

02:17:00
Speaker 10: I don't think that the Burrow thing would be a team thing. I think that would be a Joe thing.

02:17:05
Speaker 2: I could see the Joe thing because Joe's issue is not his playing, it's his team where they lack in the other areas.

02:17:10
Speaker 10: I think keeping him healthy a Joe thing. I think that the same in the Lamar.

02:17:17
Speaker 3: It's not a play thing. It's the guys around him and keeping him healthy.

02:17:20
Speaker 2: I don't think Lamar that the guys around him are talented. I think Lamar was unhealthy last year. I think he's a great football player. Still, before a great football you're also talk about he was on track for four thousand whatever passing.

02:17:35
Speaker 3: Yards all that before you talk about Lamar before we got her.

02:17:37
Speaker 10: Yeah, Yeah, that's what I'm saying like he's, but he's They've had more success than Cincinnati as well Baltimore as an organization.

02:17:44
Speaker 3: You know, in their time together, Joebos and I guess on the inside of like when Joe's given his U pressors at times throughout the year.

02:17:51
Speaker 10: Yeah, it's also like Joe two years ago has this historical season. They don't get in the playoffs. Lamar has the historical season. They're like the two seed in the playoffs. Right, So it's like, I think that's the vantage point.

02:18:04
Speaker 2: Knowing everything you know now about football, if you were to go back to Yukon, do you think he'd be successful, Like, would you think he'd be more successful everything you know about the ball, everything you've learned.

02:18:16
Speaker 10: No, uh no, I was. I was about as good as I was going to be. I would like maxed myself out. I would tell you the only no, dude, like we I was so intellectually I had to be because we weren't as talented as everybody else and I wasn't like physically that gifted. So like I intellectually that was like the only reason why I was good. So I don't think i'd be that much like different of a player.

02:18:40
Speaker 2: I did a bad job serving up. This question is from at Real Seattle Mike. If Dan pulled a Chad Powers, does he think he could win a national championship? Have you seen Chad Powers? I have an a whole response, but I'm not going to say I have not seen Chad's powers. But I know it's actually a really Yeah.

02:18:56
Speaker 10: That dude's a good actor.

02:18:57
Speaker 2: I like him. Yeah, what's his name?

02:18:59
Speaker 3: Glenn Power?

02:19:01
Speaker 10: Do I think I can win to Natural? Right now?

02:19:03
Speaker 2: Wig on the whole thing? You put on the best team in the country. No, dude, I don't know what happened. I'm forty two. I try to take care of myself. I played catch with my son last week at the beach. I can't throw it thirty five yards. Really, I don't know how Tom Brady did it. I don't know Lebron's doing it. It's telling the go oh yeah, this question, no follow up, I have no more questions. Feel good about it.

02:19:33
Speaker 3: I feel good about this spot.

02:19:34
Speaker 2: Yeah.

02:19:36
Speaker 10: Oh godly, Hey, I have a question for you guys. I want you guys to tell me about what your experience with ESPN this year as much as you can say on camera.

02:19:46
Speaker 2: The camera it was awesome.

02:19:49
Speaker 10: Challenging, Yeah, why was it challenging?

02:19:51
Speaker 3: I think going in that world you have to be, uh, you have to be way more prepared, to be more on top of stuff like we you know, speaking for myself, like being an idiot and say it, having it, having fun, like doing things that you know or like you know where you're whether your trolling fan bases or talking well about a team like with that, you have to be kind of in the know on what's going on. So I feel like in the margin for air, like when Greenee all of a sudden throws something at me. Like I had a couple of moments throughout the year, yeah, where I had something dialed up in my head, Yeah, and Greenie asked something. I said something completely different. It was like, we don't even have a graphic for that. Yeah. Type of like professionalism and how quick it is and how it just flies by. It's like two hours. It feels like a long time, but as we get going, it kind of just like it flies by and you only have these pockets of time to kind of get your point across. It's not like a pod where we're sitting here. We can talk as long as one and.

02:20:45
Speaker 2: There can be a pause if we want to be a pause. There's another veers that they're there for the long haul because it's super long form. Yeah, the having to say your point and knowing you only have a certain amount of time to get your point across was a big change for me. Structurally, it was a massive change just how like every single segment, every single commercial break, this is what we're going to next, and then.

02:21:05
Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, it's the big leagues.

02:21:06
Speaker 2: Like you guys, did you enjoy the structure or was it like there was a piece that I think that Personally for me, I think it's it's too much structure, because I think the best times that we had was probably in that pocket of like like mid October to mid November, like the good Memetis season. We've had enough reps under our belt to where Okay, Greenie's taking us somewhere, but you get to cut me off and then Hawk Innergy and then we have like five minutes of just it's it's we're teaching the viewer or something, but everyone really feels like they're a part of it, which I feel like our chemistry started to get Yeah too, because Breakfast Club with all.

02:21:42
Speaker 3: Like Hawk is the best you got.

02:21:44
Speaker 10: You have more racist jokes in the group.

02:21:45
Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, absolutely the hardest. Like do you know, like your freshman year of college, when you go out to camp for the first like the first day of camp, and you go out and it seems like everybody knows what drill is going on except for you. Yeah, and so you're kind of like playing catch up for like three four days, being like, oh, okay, now we go to this drill, then that dull, then there's team, and there's this. That's kind of how it felt the first couple of weeks where you sit down, you're in the room, Greenie's there.

02:22:11
Speaker 3: I know who Greenie is.

02:22:12
Speaker 10: You and I have met, but I don't know you like that.

02:22:14
Speaker 2: I've met the same thing with Hawk, and it's like you guys all understand what's happening, and Will staking his notes and I'm thinking myself, I should have brought a notebook. What the hell am I doing? And then you get on the thing, it's like everyone kind of knows exactly how things are gonna work, and you're just you have so much anxiety about it, and then the show's over and the next time you kind of see it a little more and more more clear. That was the hardest part for me. It was this first couple of weeks of being like, Okay, what are we going to talk about? Why do I not get to know what I'm talking about until Wednesday afternoon? Yeah, I would love to know Tuesday. And then you realize, like how current events everything.

02:22:45
Speaker 10: When you guys talk about the time. That's why when I answer questions, I answer so strong yeah, because I like one of the things I say is you'll never know how short twenty seconds is do you do TV? Or how long twenty seconds is do you do like a uh to bottle workout? Dude, twenty seconds feels like a minute, but twenty seconds on TV.

02:23:08
Speaker 2: It's like, wait, I just like, that's why I that's I learned that from a guy who's a producer at ESPN.

02:23:13
Speaker 10: He's like, take the take the plane off. He's like, stop trying to live on the runway go.

02:23:17
Speaker 2: Yeah.

02:23:18
Speaker 3: The one thing I wasn't the biggest fan of is I did feel like each week you'd have to have a certain a certain amount of like takes or feel strongly about something to where you can get yourself in trouble. Well, yeah, it's in production kind of walks you into so culture overrated. I was like, oh, I mean, I'm not saying like they're overrated.

02:23:37
Speaker 2: This cult sting is so funny, you know what I mean? You were sitting I'm with you, because yeah, I'm with you, and I was there for the backstory of all that. There's a frustrating point to me as a player, even when you're watching ESPN or you know, any sort of sports show in the mornings on week seven in the facility and it's like these guys are like this team rips, that team sucks, this team's got, this team season over Yeah, exactly, And it's just like I just find it all so dramatic, like still being in the brain and the mindset of a football player, but well, yeah we're in week six. Things can easily get figured out and all that. So I always have a really difficult time of being super definitive this team's cooked, this team's going to be champion, that type of thing.

02:24:14
Speaker 3: Yeah, that was a very difficult going to be the MVP of the season, right, And I are not going.

02:24:18
Speaker 2: To understand the reason behind it because it's the game we all live in of Like how do we get people to be like, Whoaha, what the hell did Taylor just say let's go and chew that up.

02:24:27
Speaker 3: There's people that Bears are not making the playoffs right, stuff like that to where you know if you're on if we're on bus with the boys or we're on the locker room, the audience that's tuned in just knows us. They know when I'm just doing something that could feel a little bit more performative to lean into something more. Yeah, Versus when you're on national television, you got audiences. It's like when the Eagles fans are tuned in and I'm saying stuff about the Eagles, It's a different beast totally.

02:24:55
Speaker 10: There's an ESPN where it's like they're on every television everywhere. Yeah, the thing that like the show and totality, I loved it.

02:25:03
Speaker 2: It was incredible. My favorite part of the entire year was Breakfast Club.

02:25:08
Speaker 10: Oh, I totally agree.

02:25:09
Speaker 2: I remember.

02:25:11
Speaker 10: Probably a couple of weeks in texting one of the guys that you guys obviously know why and be like yo, this like they are so much fun. I loved it Breakfast Club, but I also loved being on with you guys, like because you guys brought out like a little bit more fun than me for sure, But there was nothing more because it feels like a locker room does.

02:25:30
Speaker 3: It does. Nothing that embraced my soul more than when we had like shifty giggling, like laughing at the table I practiced and even on the show.

02:25:39
Speaker 2: Yeah, and it felt like it felt like zero egos. I feel like everyone kind of understood the role that we were playing. I don't even remember the football we talked about right exactly, but it was like, you know, it was a little gossip girl. It was a little more like talking trash. It was just it was everything you could possibly want, that scratches, that itch at the locker room, that all we all fondly remember being a bunch of idiots together. Yeah, that was awesome.

02:26:01
Speaker 3: You wanta hit to b l I would love to hit the b LQ. So there's a bud light question we ask every guest, because you know anybody, everybody would do anything for anhigh school bud light. What is something that Dan or Lawsky would do anything for. I can't say family.

02:26:16
Speaker 10: I can't say family, and could not say family. I would do anything for. I would do anything. You're gonna give me it by fifteen seconds here now, because I would my natural reaction would be something from my kids, something from my wife.

02:26:44
Speaker 2: Right, but get off the runway.

02:26:45
Speaker 10: And I don't want to be over overly emotionally because I'm an emotional person. I think I would do anything. I would do anything to tee off at Augusta on the last week of May at three forty pm.

02:27:16
Speaker 2: I love it for you.

02:27:17
Speaker 10: That means you're finishing seventeen eighteen. Like sun we got thirty minutes of sun left? God, that would be glorious.

02:27:26
Speaker 3: With the light in a hand, what walking?

02:27:29
Speaker 2: What is your stepson with like seventy four degrees outside? Oh, that'd be amazing, dude, incredible episode. Loved everything about it.

02:27:42
Speaker 3: You're the man.

02:27:43
Speaker 2: We were here. We have a round of a plaus, give him around a plaus.

02:27:47
Speaker 10: We see June June, but you guys are going away now.

02:27:51
Speaker 3: I thought, or something like that.

02:27:52
Speaker 2: I thought that was like, what's happening in June?

02:27:54
Speaker 3: What am I doing in Jene or I or something?

02:27:57
Speaker 2: Okay, okay, but hey, I know there's so many things we could have talked about. I do want to say I've texted you about this every single time. It's happened your son on ESPN. Those moments. I'm just telling you. I look over my wife and I show I show my wife. We tear up together, and I go hug my kids right after.

02:28:13
Speaker 3: It is so cool.

02:28:14
Speaker 2: Thanks man, see you as a dad taking those opportunities. It's all time. Thank you.

02:28:18
Speaker 10: Yeah, you're the band make me cry. That was an awesome moment, man, it was.

02:28:22
Speaker 7: I was.

02:28:23
Speaker 10: It was a special moment. He's a special dude.

02:28:27
Speaker 2: I was joking. I went to the week after was the Masters. I'm not joking about this either. This is not embellishment. I was at Augusta on Wednesday.

02:28:37
Speaker 10: He was the talk of Augusta National, Like, I must have had a thousand people out of gust to come up and be like something along those lines. And I went home to my wife. I was like, yo, he was the most talked about person at Augusta. I felt like today, So, yeah, it was awesome. He's he's gonna doing some art for Backyard Baseball. Who Yeah, I was rich. He just drew two characters. They asked him to draw characters, so he drew two characters from last.

02:29:05
Speaker 2: Week and kel is bringing that back right. He's like one of the people investment. I think he's part of it. Yeah, now he drew in that.

02:29:14
Speaker 10: I think he drew two characters that already exist. Do you know mister Clinky the robot picture?

02:29:23
Speaker 3: Yeah, I think there's a robot picture out there.

02:29:25
Speaker 10: And then one character that I don't think has been revealed as a new character yet. Okay, off camera, off camera, okay, okay, Yeah, Yeah, he's the man. He's a good dude. He's a good dude.

02:29:35
Speaker 3: Did you play Backyard Baseball?

02:29:37
Speaker 2: No? No.

02:29:38
Speaker 10: When my wife sent, they reached out to my wife, and my wife scented me. I was like, I don't know this.

02:29:41
Speaker 2: And then we have a group chat with a dude who works buddy of min Dave Phelps, who works at Samsung, and he's a little bit more into maybe like the video game world or whatnot.

02:29:49
Speaker 10: And he was like, Yo, that game is enormous. He knew all about it.

02:29:52
Speaker 2: Bro, that's our that's our childhood. Yeah, get on their play. Yeah.

02:29:56
Speaker 10: My childhood was like Twisted Metal, same same, Yeah, twist.

02:30:00
Speaker 3: A Metal rift.

02:30:00
Speaker 2: I don't know backyard Baseball? Were you Super Smash Brothers sixty four?

02:30:03
Speaker 3: Roller Coaster Tycoon?

02:30:05
Speaker 10: No, dude, I was like RBI baseball. Uh, Madden e a sports twisted metal act.

02:30:12
Speaker 3: Are you a game day? Get? No NFL game Day?

02:30:15
Speaker 10: No NFL Blitz.

02:30:19
Speaker 3: Double O seven.

02:30:20
Speaker 9: No.

02:30:20
Speaker 10: I was never smart enough like these strategic games. They were like too boring for me type thing I needed like action, Yeah, you needed action, double action.

02:30:31
Speaker 2: My kids are now you literally walk around you have the gun and you're just wait.

02:30:33
Speaker 4: Can I tell you?

02:30:34
Speaker 10: I told you I had a debt that I lost that was worse.

02:30:38
Speaker 2: Yeah, please share this bet with you guys, because I'm battling with it. So I have We have the fourteen year old triplets. I'm not being offensive to anybody, but we have chose like for them, we don't have they don't have cell phones, and we've like totally made the commitment, like no cell phones tod the end of eighth grade. There's one other kid in eighth grade in our town who doesn't have cell phones other than our three sons, and it's one of their buddies' kid named bo So.

02:31:00
Speaker 10: And it's been a good thing all that. We're down at the beach last week in Seaside and my two sons, Hunter and Noah, who are Madden's brothers. They go us two versus you and mom and spikeball. If we win, we get cell phones.

02:31:14
Speaker 2: Next week.

02:31:16
Speaker 10: I'm sitting on the beach having a good time, and I'm like, there's no way you two idiots are beating me and mom.

02:31:21
Speaker 2: My boy is a good athlete.

02:31:22
Speaker 10: My wife could have gone and played college lacrosse.

02:31:25
Speaker 2: All that good athlete. They fudging boat raid up boat raced us, dude, So now I have to go get them cell phones, and I would rather get a baseball bat to the mouth.

02:31:38
Speaker 3: I'm with you, dude.

02:31:39
Speaker 2: Kids, kids and phones is just a terrible combination of all.

02:31:42
Speaker 10: The horrible we've held off for so long. Yeah, but I'm so mad we lost this bet. I'm way more mad than the middle of your son. When you're really not following through it, it doesn't be mad.

02:31:52
Speaker 3: Well, eventually your son's like, hey, dad, listen to bus with the boys. I heard bust with the boys. So if I can take this metal bat to your mouth, off, is.

02:32:01
Speaker 10: It a nineteen like nineties middle bat? Because those metal bats stunk? Sure, he said, we go in the backyard right now. You let me take this metal bat to your mouth for real. You can hold off not to my mouth. I'll take that back. But you can see who did sho Absolutely who did he shot?

02:32:17
Speaker 3: Yeah?

02:32:17
Speaker 10: Absolutely?

02:32:19
Speaker 2: Well what did you get in return?

02:32:21
Speaker 3: Make sure we clear it?

02:32:21
Speaker 2: If I if we had one, yeah, if y'all had one, they weren't going to get it till junior year. Body, that's all big l dude.

02:32:31
Speaker 10: That's I was yelling at my wife like I was Danny Hurley. I was looking at like what are you doing? And she was like, finally got to the point where she's like, yo, stop and I was like she couldn't she Her hand eyes stunk that day. I was so mad.

02:32:49
Speaker 3: So yeah, cell phones, cell phones start breaking. We appreciate you coming on the boys, big y kisses drop.
