If you'd like to talk about your own big foot encounter, or if you're
looking for help from a big foot investigator in your area, email me at
Bigfoot Crossroads at gmail dot com. No sasquats were harmed in the recording of
this podcast. Yeahwi Dan, Welcome to Bigfoot Crossroads. Well thanks for having
me. Yeah. I was talking to my best friend in the world,
Robert Dominguez, a Bigfoot club, and I said that I wanted to have
a yowie guest on sometime I never had, and he said, I've got
just the guy for you. So you come highly recommended, my friend.
How did you end up looking for Yaoi's Basically, I to cut a long
story short, I used to train greyhounds for racing, and there was a
there's a place called Appen and it's about seventy the south of Sydney and it's
your trial, your greyhounds up there and they do race. Man. I
was down the bottom because it's a straight track about four hundred meters long.
I was down the bottom. There's a lot of bush there, thick bush.
I think it was being July, I'm not quite sure, but in
two thousand and five, so it's really cold. Seven thirty in the morning
is fog everything, so you're just it's you're not comfortable. And next minute
there's all these uh bushes were shaking a bit, and my dog's turning around
just being at the bush, and I'm thinking maybe just a wallaby and stums
going through it are But then something just gave this massive, big like scream
raw and what I say is something with a chest size of Andrea Giant or
bigger, which she was a big, massive wrestler back in the day,
to make this noise, and my dog was barking, and my dog the
first time she'd ever barked. I was just shocked, like she's barking and
she was trying to protect me. She put herself in between me and Warner
was making this noise, and I knew something was really, you know,
strange here because grayons usually somethings in the bush. They want to go chase
it, that's their nature. But she was backing into me, and she
looked like she'd been struck by lightning, and all her hair was sticking up,
and I was just like, what's going on? And this thing screaming
out like I can't even get anywhere I can't even try to do a recreation
of it. I can't get the amount of air out of my lungs to
do the same thing. Then it shook her about probably a gum tree about
twenty at tall, and it was pretty thick that the base of the trunk
of this tree was about the round as a basketball, and it was just
cracking it and it was just like shaking it from side to side, and
you can hear the roots in the ground crack, and then it just lant
up against the other trees because it basically busted the tree, and then it
ran off through it a bush and you can hear all the bush just getting
smashed out of the way like a ball dazer going through and it's every footstep
sounded like a lasstime, heating like hard ground. And I was just like,
we're getting out of it. So me and a dog ran up to
the other boxes and I just said, the people did you hear that?
They just see that. They're like busy talking. So yeah, that's how
I got into research and Yawe's. Had you ever heard any what you would
consider credible stories about Yae's before your experience, Well, look, I wasn't
even into him. Like all I knew a Yawe was was an average and
all the Indigenous people to Australia their dreamtime stories about you know, hairy you
know, creature, they walked on two legs, all the little chocolate,
the yeawie chocolate. That's all I knew. You know, I never even
looked into him. I just knew like bigfoot yahwe's, you know, yeah,
the bushy yeah we will get you. Not until I had that experience,
I'm like, gita might be something out here, and I was just
really curious to what it might be, Like what was it that shook that
tree that day? Like, you know, like is how many of these
things are out there? So we've just been looking into it ever since.
So, yeah, what's like the typical description from witnesses of what yahwe's look
like. Well, they're pretty much the same as the big foot sasquatch,
you know, but they come in the range of colors like black or brown,
or they get the sometimes they're gray or they're kind of like that rangutang
kind of color, that kind of orangey color. And they're big shouldered.
You know, you've got that same kind of head as a big foot yeah,
just some people say they're not that big, like they're not really wide,
they're more they're musty, but they're like more athletic than being like a
massive, like weightlifter type preacher. So there's been a few descriptions over the
years. They do very but most of them are like pretty much the same
as the American big Foot. I had always heard that yalies are more violent,
are aggressive in their behavior. Is that true or is that just rumor?
Oh? Dean Harrison who's runs the Australian yeah we research page over here,
and he has a whole library of people with having encounters and you can
click on the on the Australian yeaw we research page and read thousands of encounters.
But he actually had one kind of run over the top of him and
he was bruised and batter than he was out in the Blue Mountains and researching
there. But he had this happened to believe up in Queensland, which is
the next date up from where I live. And I've actually had some friends
that have been heard it out, which is they've gone into an area and
there's been all these yes around them and they're all like bashing the trees and
making whoop noises and screaming and that pretty much to say get out of here
or you're going to be in trouble. So I did hear a story from
someone. Look, I'm not sure if this is true, but he told
me that he knew a police officer that was high up up in the Blue
Mountains in Katoomba and the police officers said to him, we found two bodies
over the years where the bodies their heads haven't been cut off, they've been
ripped off. Like how much strength for to take to rip your head off
your body. Yes, I'm not sure if that's true, but that's the
story that I heard. But I've never had any aggression shame towards me have
But then that day when I first had my encounter, I believe that was
aggression to say get out of you. Or maybe I just spooked the creature
and it just ruled back as it's defense mechanism, you know. But yeah,
they've been saying that they are dangerous, but there is reports here that
they've chased people but haven't hurt them, or they just followed them. So
yeah, they're really curious creatures and they know they had the fine when you're
looking for them. So like in North America, you know, bigfoot reports
happen all over the place, all over the United States, but most people
tend to think of the Pacific Northwest area whenever it comes to you know,
bigfoot or sasquatch. Is there a place in Australia that's similar like that with
the Pacific Northwest where if you're a Yali researcher, this is just where to
go to look for them or is it more widespread like it is over here?
Well, they are white bread. But most of the accounts over the
years if you add them all up the Blue Mountains where I go west of
Sydney, which is if you go if you go into the city of Sydney
and you drive straight west on the M four made Away, you'll just come
to the Blue Mountains. We've been about forty minutes and they're pretty much got
the most encounters over the years. That up in Queensland you have got a
place called Springbrook and the Gold Coast hint Land, which is really thick and
really the mountains are actually much higher and steeper than the Blue Mountains and it's
harder to get in and there's been a really like a lot of reports lately
in the last few years, so pretty much them two areas in Australia are
the most active. But daying that there's a lot of people that there's a
lot of bush in Australia from the right at the top of Queensland all the
way down to the bottom where Victoria is, and there's activity going from the
top to the bottom. So it's pretty much like you said, there's active
all over America, and we've got the same thing here. We have two
pretty much hot spots. Are there any certain situations that seem more common for
exciting like people camping out or hiking or fishing or anything like that. Yeah,
generally they're people just going on a hike. A lot of times,
Yeah, the people are by themselves and they're hiking and then they'll just one
I'll just walk across the trail in front of them, or they'll go to
a like a little creek to go refill their water and they just happened to
ones like on the other side of the creek. And yeah, a lot
of times people camping, they'll hear whoops and stuff like that, but it's
mainly people bush walking and it's not really they're in the middle of nowhere.
Sometimes they're not far from civilization with his houses, so it doesn't mean you
have to be right in the bush to see them. Do you get reports
of them like digging through trash cans and things like that. Yes, that
has happened up in the Blue Mountains. It's been a few reports where they're
they've gone through the bins and people have kind of come out to see who's
going through in my bin and they've seen a Yawe run away. So yeah,
that's happened, yeah, a few times. Are there a lot of
Yawi researchers in Australia? Is it? Is it fairly widespread or is there
just a handful of you people? No, there's there's a lot of people
researching because there's a lot of people that live in what we call the bush.
It's when you live out where there's not you know, the townships aren't
that big, they're not like the city, so we just call it the
bush. There's a lot of people the research there, but they don't they
don't want to give out any information, they don't want to be, you
know, speaking on the podcast. They just want to do it and do
it quietly and gave it their own information. There's a lot of people interested,
but they just seem to get on Facebook groups and posted pictures and think
that they found a yawe. It's getting yeah, said the kind of keyboard
warrior researchers. And they walk around a local trail, take a thousand photos
with their mobile phone cameras and then they go back and see shadows and think
they've seen a yawe. So we have that happening a lot in Australia at
the moment. It's and it's really bad because they're not researching the proper way.
And what I say the proper way is if I got a photo or
a video was something which was really weird and I thought this, look,
this could be what I'm looking for, which is the awe, I will
try to go back to that area, which I'll go back to that area
and I'll try and get the same weather conditions. So it was cloudy,
I'll get a cloudy day, if it was midday, I'll go back there
and midday I'll go back to the same angle and I'll start shooting a video
photo from the same angle and see if you know, it could have just
been a tree stump and then actually go up to the area and then check
out to see if you can see any signs or footprints or anything like that.
And these people don't do that. They just click click click. Then
they got back, Hey, look at this shadow, what do you think
of it? And then people say, oh, it's just a shadow,
and then I get angry, and then there's all these big fights. So
yeah, that's something that's been happening lately. And I'm not in any Facebook
groups because I just had enough of all the crap going on there. It's
basically just getting out of hand at the moment. It sounds remarkably like the
bigfoot community that I'm used to years ago. Whenever I was doing the research
side of things and getting out into the field of investigating and things like that,
there weren't a lot of yard your researchers around. I mean, Dean
Harrison of course comes to mind, and I think there might have been a
couple others, but it seems to really have gained in popularity or maybe just
exposure over the years, which the same thing has happened in the bigfoot world,
which isn't necessarily a good thing do you have. I know you're talking
about you know, people just you know, randomly taking photos and paradilia and
finding shadows that look like Yawley's and things. But do you have Yawy hoaxers
over there? Do people hoax stuff? Yeah? On the occasion, we
have people that have been busted, Yeah, trying to hoax. It's not
really common. I'm not sure about where you guys are in America about the
hoaxing, but here it's not really common. One thing we do have,
we have I'll just say one guy. I would't even say his name because
I don't think he deserves his name to be said. He actually runs a
Facebook group and a YouTube channel and he actually finds old yeahwe reports and then
puts him up word for word as a new site. Thing that's just happened
like two or three days ago. Oh so yeah, yeah, saying he's
been busted and yeah, someone busted him and said. There's an old newspaper
site and you're called Trove and you can write in there and it brings up
old newspaper reports from like, you know, the eighteen hundreds, the nineteen
hundreds, and this one was from about eighteen fifty and he's writing this report
as it's from a few days ago. So yeah, so we're getting problems
like that. Not people hoaxing, they're just bringing old report They're bringing old
reports in and saying that they're they're they're new ones. And yeah, so
once they get busted, they've got their name is tarnished and doesn't matter what
they do, even if they've done the right thing forever, they'll still just
get called a hoax. So it's um, he's actually been a bit quiet
lately, so it's a good thing that he got busted. Whenever you're going
out to invest again in an area, what are some of the research techniques
you use in your own personal investigations. So one thing I do use is
u previous Sightings and encounters, and I do use Deans AYR site a lot
when I look up and see what years these encounters happened and what actually happened.
So I'll pick it an area and I'll look up old reports and then
plus I'll go out there and I'll leave a few sound recorders and then leave
them out there for a couple of weeks. I'll have to go in there
once a week and change the batteries. And the card, and I'll do
that for a couple of weeks, and then I'll come home and I'll listen
to the recordings and if I hear anything really weird, because like over a
really two or three weeks, if there's something living in that area, it's
going to come past your recorder, or it's going to make a hour,
or it's going to do a wooden knock or something like that. So once
I research an area, we've sound recordings and look up past reports. I'll
go in there and I'll maybe spend a half a night or a full night
in their camp in the area. We have a friend or two and I
have a thermal monocular and parabolic dish that I did buy from the from America,
and they've been very good for picking up things in the bush for me,
and I have got a lot of really good sound recordings over the years
from doing this method. And it's the method I've been doing since I virtually
started researching ywis, So it has worked for me. I just don't go
into any area and go, oh, this will do, you know,
but sometimes you'll I might just go for a hike and I'll just see a
lot of like tree breaks, and you know when their tree breaks a pointing
uphill not downhill, you kind of start thinking what's doing this because usually gravity
we'll bake the trees go downhill, not uphill. Every time I've seen trees
bent uphill, I've always had some some sort of sound recording, like boy
Peter walking or some wood knocks around the area. And yeah, so that's
basically what I do. Do. Many researchers do, like yawi calls or
vocalizations or attempt to or like do wood knocks to try and a listen a
response, like bigfoot researchers do over here. Yeah they people have done it,
but I've tried it too. But look, I've only had out of
all my years, and I've been doing this since two thousand and five,
when that first encounter happened, I've only recorded like one how that we was
not a dog or a dingo or a person was just too loud and it
was it just didn't sound like a person or a dog. And that was
the one that we've recorded that Maramara National Park which is just north of Sydney.
We've been there a few times and I think it a record another kind
of weird sound vocalization there not long ago, but now no one's really heard.
They don't really make these howls like in North America. You've got a
lot of recordings of Bigfoot howling, and you know, vocalizations were the ones.
I'm here. Yeah, he's they don't seem to do it as much.
Um, I really haven't heard him make noises I had. I've had
like end recordings. I get rock clacking, m Like we're in places where
there's no one's going to be I've had the bush bash to get in there,
get rock clacking, you get wood knocks, you get whoops. You
know, I've had boy Peter walking. I've had a rock throat on my
tent, things like that. So yeah, probably they tend to do a
lot quieter here than they're more stealthy. You sent me some recordings of the
boy people walking and the howl that you're talking about, and I'll probably add
those recordings at the end of this episode for people to listen to with your
permission, of course, so they can check. Yeah, pretty impressive stuff,
you know, for sure, I've the bipedal walking. You know,
there's got to be a bit of trust that you know it wasn't a person.
Um. I can't imagine why someone would be out in the Australian bush
walking around in the middle of the night or anything. Um. The how
very interesting stuff. Indeed, it was pretty impressive, certainly not a person
or a dingo or a dog or anything like that. You can tell that
from the recording that once if you if you listen to this how that you're
going to play at the end, which I call it the Marramarrahu because it's
from Marimara National Park and that's Marramara's an indigenous word um and it's got a
meaning um, not quite sure. I think it's a place of many fish
or something like that. And it sounds someone said to me, it sounds
like the ninety ninety four Ohio house that they You can look them up on
YouTube and they're very similar. Definitely has some of those in qualities to it.
Kind of a siren tape cole. That's what I've always referred to them,
at least. Yeah. Well, unfortunately I only had a small parabolic
dish, like a real cheap one at the time, and it didn't record
it. It didn't look it didn't do justice to how loud these howls were
and they went on and off for forty minutes, and the howls were like
to me, it was like calling out to like, where's the rest of
the tribe, Where's the rest of the group. And then it ended up
coming down this cliff, which is no trail. They're pretty ship cliffs.
Is no one's up there. Come through the bush through a tidal creek which
was probably about chest deep freezing cold water in winter time because we only gather
there in winter. It's not safe in summer. It's too many brown snakes
and they're the second most dangerous snake in the world, and there's a lot
of them there. And it come out of the tidal creek through a long
brassy area and happened to be another fellow up there with his girlfriend camping at
the time, and it was my wife and my friend of mine, Adam,
where were researching. Yeah, he's and now we're just there for a
for a bit of fun. And he was fishing and then he got out
and put lit up a campfire because his girlfriend was crying that much because she
didn't know what that noise was and she was freaked out, and he was
a bit freaked out because he says he's done a lot of shooting in the
bush and he's heard all the noises of all the animals and he's never heard
that before. So we've put our torches on and we can hear it running
through the bush and he's looking at us and he's got the torch on the
same area and he's like, well, they know what they heard it.
They know they can see, like hear where it's going. And then it
ran up the ridge pretty much where we hiked down to come back to come
into marimary of the campsite, because it's about a seven kilometer hike from the
car to hike to that spot and there's only all you can get a boat
in there, but you've got to get in there on high tide. So
it's not like people can go down there and say we're going to go to
a fake howl like people just didn't do that. It's just too hard to
get into. So, yeah, it's an interesting area. And that guy's
name is Kurt. And we go down the Marramara pretty much two or three
times every year now and on my YouTube channel Australian Now, the last time
we went to Maramara, we got twenty five minutes of really weird things happening
there. And I actually it was the first time I saw a red eye
shine. It's something looking at me. And after I say, ah,
there's red eye shine, it's actually walks through the bush the other side of
this little this little freshwater creek that runs onto the salt water tidal creek,
and it actually was ripping grass out of the out of the ground and you
can hear it all kind of leaning in the water, and then it runs
over to the main creek and starts chucking a big like a rock or two
into the water. And yeah, that was a really weird night of that
one. Because we tried to keep at the campground Marimara, and the reason
why we couldn't camped there because people had booked it out because it was COVID.
We're just getting over COVID, so they were trying to only have one
or two tenths in the area and only letting I think four people and say
people wouldn't mix around and spread COVID. So we actually went to another campground
which was about two kilometers away and it's all flat area, so we walked
back there. No one was in the camping area. They just decided not
to go. So we were set up our parabolic dish and I didn't have
the thermal monocular, then I wish I did, and we just pointed to
them the parabolic dish around and we just happened to get all these recordings.
And I just happened to get the end of something that walked through that freshwater
creek and as it was coming out, the water droplets were hitting We're coming
off its body and hitting the creek and you can hear the water dropping off
the body into the creek, and I thought that was pretty cool. That
was a crazy night. Alan Marimara is a place that, just like I
said, just keeps give. You know, very rarely do you go there
and nothing happens. But Kurt had told me someone that he deals with in
business. He Kurt just happened to asking about you know about Yeah, he's
in it, and he said, funny enough, this guy's brother lived down
in marymar for eighteen months homeless in a cave and the reason why he left
that area was because of the weird things that were happening down there. And
he didn't say it was like Harry member, there was just things running around.
He just says they weren't kangaroos or wallabies and he just had to get
out of there. He just got spooped out and he was there for eighteen
months. Wow. I can't even imagine living in a cave and without Yaw
he's around, let alone with Yaw he's around, that would be terrifying.
Yeah, I know he got spiders and snakes and whatever else out there.
So what do the Aboriginal people say about these things? Are they a people?
Are they an animal? Is there folklore that goes along with them?
Yeah? Yeah, they've got their folklore. And you know, they said
the Yowees are the protectors of the bush and the indigenous people had an agreement.
They saying with the Yowees is like they'll protect the bush and then the
Aboriginals they'll they'll do stuff like that. They they burn, they do burn
backs of the bush so they keep the food coming into the bush, so
you know, native animals will come back into the area so they can keep
hunting them. But they have near their own folklore with the with the Yowees,
and they've got areas where they say don't go to that area because that's
the Yowe's area, and they tell their children to not you know, go
anywhere out of the campsite at night because the Yowees can get you. Yeah,
so they've got a pretty close relationship with the Yawe's over the years.
You mentioned earlier about the guy that was taking you know, all the articles
and stuff and posting them as new content and new reports. You said something
about taking one from the eighteen hundreds. How far back does Yai history go?
Well, pretty much not strange. There was seventeen eighty eight when the
first fleet arrived and that was we bore the Compics pretty much started Australia and
they just called it the New South Wales Colony. And not long after that,
within you know, a couple of months, still a couple of years,
there was people saying, you know what they called a Harry gorilla because
that's what they knew, what Big Ape was a gorilla. And I was
just saying, well, there must be gorillas, yeah, because we no
one had gone into Australia and searched it. They've only just got around the
shoreline, you know, even on the western side of their Australia where Perth
is. And the guy called Dirk Hartog he landed there. He was I
think he was from even They were Dutch and they landed there, landed there,
and I think it's from about sixteen the two or something. And there's
like a copper plate and they scratched their names in the copper plate and put
it maybe put it up against a tree that it died and then someone found
it on the beach. So we've had you know, different countries sailing down
here over the years, like hundreds of years ago, but never went into
the lane because well, the other side perfect, it's pretty arid area.
It's really dry. It's not like the eastern side where it's greener. So
yeah, it was a few pretty much a few months to a year or
two where they started seeing you know, these hairy but they called gorillas,
and they've thought, well, there's grillers here. So that's the reports kept
going through years saying a hairy gorilla, and then after a while it started
changing to you know, like some sort of hairy creature and a hairy man.
And then once the white men started talking to the Aboriginals, they were
saying, you know, they call them dula girls, and there's quinkins and
the small ones. We've got a smaller pipe called the Dungety, and he
had like more of I'd like to play tricks and stuff on you, or
trying to pinch your stuff. Where I was out in the Jamison Valley and
I turned my back and one come right up behind me, and I saw
where he was trying to grab my tripode and my parabolic just to run off
of it. And I got that really a six cents feeling like someone was
standing right behind me. And then I heard like a couple of little branches
cracker on the ground, and I've turned around and it's just shot off down
this ridge and it's pitch black. And I had a thermal there, and
I've got the thermal up, and i still had it on, but by
the time I've got the thermal up, I couldn't see it. I got
one little bit of a heat signature, but I'm not sure if that was
the top of it its head and it was hiding, or if it just
happened to be like a small rut or something and it just seemed to look
like that. But yeah, the Abriginals had a close relationship with the year.
He's over the years and like I said the year he's They are like
the boss of the bush and they keep you know, they look after that.
And then the aboriginals, you know, they've they've got the area where
they live, but they will do backburning and stuff like that, and they'll
do their part to keep the food in the bulls so the aweys and every
other animal can survive. And then the aboriginals can use spear them for food
like kangaroos and all the use, et cetera. Do you ever hear of
any reports from people claiming uh paranormal experiences with yoweys, like you know we
hear about mine speaking the big Foot community or cloaking or going through portals.
Do you have that sort of thing going on with the aweys? Um little
people are talking about you know, yeawe's with big yeahwy's with your foes if
they see or your foe. Yeah, there's yeawe around. Um there's interdimensional
yaws from an interdimensional um you know, like a somewhere in a different demand
echine. Then yeah, you get these um yeah we's can do like infrasound,
so they can make this noise that you can't hear, but it makes
you feel sick. There's all these different things, but no one's ever proven
it. But the only thing that I could say was I was at a
place called the water Agans and that's about two hours north of Sydney, and
I was there with Adam, who was at Marramara that time when we recorded
the house, and he lived up that way, so I said, I'll
come up your way and do some research. And the Wadigans had had a
few sidings and encounters over the years, and I said to him. We
walked away from our keepsite and I said, I've got to get to somewhere
that's greener because it's too dry here. There's nothing going to be here.
We've got to go where it's green, where water is, that's where life
is. So I've gone down this ridge into this um by myself, into
this little creek, and when I got to the bottom, we've got like
little handheld walkie talkies and and I said, doing something has just growled at
me in the h but it doesn't sound like a dog, just has his
gun oral growl, and he's like, well, I'm going yeah, And
then all of a sudden he just leaves, moving like something's running up the
ridge. I said, look, I can hear the leaves, like I
can't see him, but I can hear the noise of something moving up the
ridge and it's coming up towards you. And he's like, are you sure
I'll go yeah, you'll hear it, and it's like, yes, oh,
yeah, I can hear it. And then so I could hear boy
Peole running because I'm still down in the ridge. It's about two hundred meters
up to the top, and I can hear by Peter running from my left
going to my right, and about five six seconds later, I can hear
more by Peter running. So the first one was the yeah. The second
one was Adam, So I've gone all right, I'm going to go up.
So I've gone up, and he says to me while he's chasing it,
he says, I can't see it, but I can see all the
leaves move like the wind coming in and it is blowing the leaves up like
a little tornado thing, and then it just flying in the air and it
keeps happening while this thing's running along like it's just like it's predator mode,
like it's invisible, and I'm like, what, so, anyway, it
ran from my left to my right, but then did like a semicircle and
come back around to where I've come up the ridge. And it's come back
down to my left about thirty thirty five minutes away, and there was some
big gum trees there and I could see it walking really fasting but on the
other side of these gum trees, so I could see every second stride,
but like it was going as fast as as Olympic walkers in the Olympics they
go because you see people running next to them when they're racing in the Olympics,
and they go really quick down guys, and it was walking down like
them as fast and they had. It was doing like the Paddy from the
Patterson Gimlm footage, and that was swinging exams and it was really black and
it was like had no neck, this big fat head. It was the
jet black fur really like all the shoulders would have been at least four foot
wide. It was solid, and it was just walking down into the bush.
So I've just got Adam, Adam come back here. So we're shot
back to that area. We've tried to chase it down in the bush,
but there's too many vines there with little little thorns on them, and we
just got caught up. So we've just looked around for head, trying to
find some here that gets maybe get DNA. It's kind of thing. There
was no hair there. You could still hear it bashing through the bush way
down back into the into the creek. Wow. So what's your personal opinion?
Are they paranormal? Are they just strictly flesh and blood and got amazing
physical abilities. Yeah, flesh and blood and just blends really well with their
environment. Because the colors that people have said, they're grays, that orangutang
kind of orangey color like a chocolate brown, and the black all of them
colors are in the Australian bush because the Australian bush bush fires pretty like every
year this we've got bush fires again. Now not as bad as the twenty
nineteen twenty bush fires, but there's bush fires now. And the bush when
it gets burnt here, the gum trees that they the black part on the
bark stays there for years. It just doesn't fall off and you get new
bark within a couple of months. So the browns and the grays and the
blacks and the greens and or everything else is all mixed in. And look,
I've walked down trails where there's a wallaby pretty much three meters from me,
maybe not even that, maybe two meters, and they're like a brown,
gray, black, all mixed up, all different colors. So their
faces got parts that are black, parts of the gray, parts of the
brown. Most of their bodies brown with gray and on the side and on
the stomach area. And you walk past them and they stand still, and
until they move, you don't see them. So for a while'by standing out
in the open, you know, right out probably a meter front of the
tree line, and he's in the open eating some grass, and he's when
I come walking along, he just stays still. And if I get close
to him, then he news. And if I can't see him, how
am I going to see something like a yawee that's more intelligent. And they
basically most of the times that people see them there they're like right next to
a tree and they'll be hugging a tree and they'll be looking around the tree.
And what they do is they stand on the tree line. There's a
trick they do. So you're trying to look through that first tree line into
the bush to look into and maybe in there, but it's actually at the
tree lines. Your eyesight's going past them to see in the bush. But
they're basically right on the tree line and that's what they do. But they've
got the colors that they are. They're the same colors of the Australian bush.
And I've been out in the Blue Mountains just wearing green similar to like
what a ranger wears. And I've been standing on one side of the creek
where I filmed. I happen to actually film a yawee like by accident.
Really, I was just trying to check a tree break and in the background
there's this big rock ledgers about twelve foot high in some places, and there's
a yeah. He comes around and you can see it's nearly as high as
the rock ledge. And when you don't understand, you don't really appreciate that
film unless you go to that area and see the rock ledge where I would
had he would have to I'm nearly six foot not have to stand on my
shoulders to be nearly as high as a rock ledge. So yeah, they
blend in really well. And only because I've had that experience with Adam,
and he said he couldn't see it, but he could see the leaves in
that moving that. I believe that they've got some sort of ability. I
don't know what it is, but I just believe they are flesh and blood.
But they've got really really good like abilities in the bush to not be
seen. You only see them when they want to be seen, or you've
just happened to get them in an off moment when they're guards down. You
know, they might be having a drink at the creek and you just might
happen to be just coming down and see them. And it's happened a few
times here. So that's my belief. Just flesh and blood creature. I
don't think they're mixed with your phos. I don't think they're inter dimensional.
I don't think they're like quantum leap and they jumped from dimension at the dimension.
I don't know. I think I think some of them a bit far
fetched. But look, I'm not saying anyone's wrong. That's just my opinion.
Right, you have a pretty interesting cast of what looks like a handprint.
Maybe, Yeah, what's the story behind that? Well, this is
pretty much in the same area of that I said, I got that.
Yeahwe in the in the background. I was down on the creek bed and
I happen to see these handprints and this area. Look, you can get
down to this an area. Anyone can get down to this area. But
there's not as the trail's not straightforward. There's no trail there. You've got
to go around these big rocks and then you've got to know where you're going
to get down there. Though most of the people just go on this rock
ledge and they look down and that ship. Then they they're just a normal
sightseers, a normal tourists, and they just go back on the trail and
walk to this area called red Hen's Cave, which is all Aboriginal hands that
have been put up in the cave and they get the oka and they spit
the colored oka red and white ochre and that makes your handprint, and they're
over a thousand years old. That's the main attraction in that area. But
for me, I just go to this area and I've walked down and this
is when I was researching it for a few years. I've let it go
for a while because there's been bush fires in the area and I'm pretty sure
there's nothing there, so I'm not going to waste my time. I'll go
to another area. So I've gone down there and I've just seen this handprint
and it just didn't look like like a It didn't look human, and it
would just look really the things look really skinny, like really small, and
it looked like a child's hand. But it's just something's about it. Where
you know when you see the eighteens where in between a thumb, and they're
things that part of the palms, like the extra it's longer than our so
they can grip around the trees. That's what this palm print actually looks like.
But the print that I did see, unfortunately I didn't cast that one.
I had to cast another one, which is pretty good as well.
There was a couple of prints there like something had been squatting down and probably
trying to grab things. Like it's like yabbies. They're like the column yabbies.
They're like little mini lobsters and they're probably about a foot long, and
it was probably trying to grab one of them and had its hand in the
mud trying to grab one. Because I did notice one in the area,
and so I cast it and people have said it look it looks like like
a one bat double step. And what one bat double step is the front
foot going on the ground and then the back foot kind of steps right at
the back part of the of the front foot, so it makes the same
kind of shape. But I've gone to the Wallabies, sorry Wallaby one bats
actual where I live in the in the little barrows they dig holes in the
ground I live in there. So I've gone around and cast a front foot
and a back foot and I've put them together and look, it looks similar,
but there's different differences to the wombats prints to this. What I believe
is like a small Yeah, we're a small jungeti handprint. So yeah,
that's that's the Clint Brooks the area that I was researching. And yeah,
I've got some sound recordings, I've got the video foot each. I have
seen a small Jungedi there, and I've got the handprint there. Now I'm
no wombat expert by any means, but I mean it looks like very much
like like you're saying, like an ape type hand In my opinion, I
thought wombatsh pause were a little bit smaller than that. Maybe I'm wrong about
that, but either way it has like the elongated palm and the offset thumb.
I mean, it looks like some sort of primate hand that's certainly not
human and certainly should not be found in Australia. Well, the one bats
front feet and the back foot are very different. The back feet do have
that kind of shape like a you know, they've got that roundness at the
back like the heel like the human, and the front foot is like the
one. Bats can get quite big. But this was in the mud,
and sometimes when things go in the mutter makes the actual print look bigger than
what the actual you know, the foot was, So that was a bit
of difficulty. I had to check that out. But after just looking at
it, and then a fellow research up that research is down the coast,
he showed me a few um small monkey hands like I think bonobos and just
normal chimpanzees and all them kind of small monkeys, and this handprint just looked
like theirs. The long the fingers and the and the thumbs are in the
same area, and that palm was elongated like the cast I had. So
I'm you know, I did think one bat at start for some reason,
because I look at what I do is I try to be priful to myself
first, so I want to I don't want to lie to myself because if
I lie to myself, I'm loan to everyone else. I need to make
sure that I've got the right information in my mind. What I've got in
front of me is what I think it is, and that's when I won't
bring any anything out until I know for sure in my mind that look,
this is a print from something that shouldn't be in Australia. So and I
know no one in Australia has got a head print like that. So there's
been a few footprints. I've only come across one big long footprint. It
was about forty two centimeters long. I think I sent a picture of that,
and I had like the ball of the foot near the big toe was
about as round as a tennis balls. Really weird footprint. And I just
found out on hiking with I got twin boys are about thirteen at the time,
and we're just hiking along the trail and I decided to go along this
trail called Lindermann's Pass up in the Blue Mountains, and it's it's really delapidated
that they don't look after it, and you've got to be an experienced hiker
to walk through there. So I've taken my boys there until it started looking
a bit dangerous. But we found this print, and there was other footprints
of where pikers have gone through, and this one was way longer, and
it wasn't like all the other prints had, you know, the soul marks
of the boot, and this one just looked like a massive, big skinny
foot they just squished in there. There was a couple of others that were
the same, but the mudd had caved in on it, but it still
had the same length and the width of this print. And I wanted to
go get some casting material, but I wasn't able to get it, and
yeah, so I just took a photo and yeah, so I have found
a few interesting things over the time in the Blue Mountains. So that's really
close to where I lived, so and it's a hot spot. And they
were a few of the places in the Blue Mountains where we filmed the documentary
track Searcher Astrays, Bigfoot and a Bit of Tracking the Law, which is
the latest documentary up by Attilacaldi, and that's I think it's on Amazon Prime
and Apple TV and Google and Microsoft platforms, and it's still out at the
moment for people to watch. I was just thinking about the photographs of the
footprint and the hand print and everything. One bats have claws, aren't they
for the digging of the duns and all that? I mean, I didn't
see any claw marks with the prints, did you? Were you? That's
what I looked at. And I did make one back casts and unfortunately,
when moving from one house to another, they broke, but they did show
signs. The one bat one you could see the clown marks clear on each
finger. Where this one the claw marks should have shown up pretty well because
it was in soft mud where claws would have dug straight into that mud and
when it's come out, it would have just what do you call it,
the young plaster of Paris would have went straight into those little claw mark holes
and when you've when I've taken it out, they would be sticking on the
end. But no, it just looked like little fingers, little petite fingers
from like someone that was really short, you know, not a really big
bodied creature, you know something. And the junge ds are only about three
foot tall. And when I saw one that all the features like lips and
nose and ease and the whole like head and everything's just petite. Everything's small
about it. It just looks like about as big as a ten year old
kid. So yeah, so that's pretty much I think what these hands from
is it's junge or considered something entirely different than the awe. Yeah, yeah,
they're pretty much like the same kind of creature, but they're on a
different kind of tree, different branch. They're their own, they're not.
They could be related to the yahwe's, but they're they're not. They're not.
They don't get called they are yeawe type creature, but yeah, they
just get called dungetee where the yeawis. Oh yeah, we do the goal.
And there's other different names that I cannot pronounce. Some of the original
the indigenous names are hard to get your tongue around. But yeah, they're
they're they're out there and they're really mischievous. They've played tricks on people,
Like there's been times up far off Queensland where people have been asleep and they've
just had the door open to where they're living or sleeping because it's like there's
no one around. There's no reason to locked doors, and you know,
the junginees will walk in and then stand there, maybe shake the people,
and then when the person wakes up and get started, then the jungetees run
out. Yeah, so there's been stories of things I had happening. So
yeah, they're a bit of a They're not a creature that wants to who
are you? They just want to play tricks and then like trying they're being
the council. They have taken people's stuff, like grabbed the bag and run
away of it. So what happened with your sighting of one? Well,
this was all like Glimbrook as well. On this trail caught the Redhand's Cave
trail and it was raining. I go out in anywhether I don't unless it's
like the storm's too big or there's lightning, You're still going to be safe.
But it was raining, just drizzling, really foggy, and I've started
walking along the trail and I started hearing to my right, like, um,
it sounded like the indigenous talk, the Aboriginal speech, but it sounded
like it was overlapping, but it sounded like it was coming from little kids,
like five year old kids. And I'm thinking, who would have a
bunch of five year old kids out of the bush? And I'm looking around
and I couldn't see anything, but I could hear things, and I'm thinking,
am I just hearing things? Is like? Is it just water hitting
the leaves? And it's just making me think I'm hearing this? But then
that kind of went away, and I started hearing what sounded like teenage girls
talking but the same language, and I'm thinking, on what's going on here?
Like, I've never had this happened before, and I've been on this
trail heaps of times. So I kept walking, and then I started hearing
what sounded like male speech, probably half a kilometer away, but they were
talking really loud and yelling at that and I'm looking, what's going on here?
I'm like, anyway, I kept going, and then something started moving
in the bush, and I thought it might have been a wallaby, just
looking around for they wallaby's bring up the small plants and eat the roots of
the plant, because that's the sweet part. And but this one, this
thing was paralleling me as I was walking along this trail, and if i'd
stopped he had stopped, I'd walk into walk and I stopped a few places,
and I had my camera there, and I'm trying to film this thing,
and I kept going anyway. I got to an area where it was
more open, and there was paperback tree and there's not all these little bushy
trees. It was pretty much open. I would I'll wait here and if
it turns up, I can film it. But it already got to that
area before I got there, and I'm just looking around and then I kind
of just it just moved about an inch its head and then it blinked and
I had these big round, black armored shaped armord shaped eyes, and its
hair was like I think I was dark chocolate brown or black, and it
was like it was all combed back and had small nose, small lips,
but the face was like a blue gray and all I could see was its
head and a little bit of its neck just peeking around. The bullsh at
me. And so I've got my camera out and it's pouring down rain and
fog, and I got like a little towel over the camera and I'm trying
to film, but I'm overshooting. I'm shooting above it, and I wasn't
really good with a camera back then. This has going back ten years and
I'm shooting above it, and then I basically bought the time. I'm like,
you eatiot, You've got to point it down because the reds where it
was it was actually slamming upwards, so it was actually a couple of meters
higher than me, probably at least two meters higher than me. So I'm
actually pointing the camera too much of an angle. So I'm actually pointing it
where, you know, probably a meter or two above where it was standing.
And at the time I've come down to film editor already gone. I
did get a bit of footage of something moving. And then recently I put
up a video it says paradolia or yawie, and you can see a face.
But I think it's just I just happened to get a face on an
angle where it was a collection of foliage like a rock, different kind of
bits of bush, different colored bush, and the light coming through the clouds,
and it just made it look like a face. So I put it
up there and I did a video about you know, I did see small
dungy on this day, but due to my experience with a camera, I
stuffed it up like really a big time. I'll spilling my hours. I
was so upset. But then I've caught this like little paradolia face. I
made a video and I just made that recently because I only just saw that
recently, and it's just ten year old footage because I've don't know, in
twenty thirteen and and I just I go through me old videos and see if
I see stuff that I missed. You know, when you look at things
with fresh eyes, you pick up more stuff that you that you would pick
up. You know, then when you know when you've just filmed it and
you're really excited and you're just looking everywhere, you know, say, I'll
go through videos a few times, and then i might spend take two or
three years and I'll go, I'll get that video out and I'll look at
that again. And I've picked up a few weird things over the years.
So do you have a favorite uh Yale story that you've heard from another witness
or anything? Been a few stories people had sent me. I did a
magazine called The Yawe Times from twenty and seventeen to about June twenty and twenty,
and it was actually a friend of mine. He lived down. He
actually lived down an appen near the dog Track, and he was driving back
from Wollongong, which is there's like a city, probably about forty minutes south
of Appen and he was driving along Appen Road and has lined Appen Roads zig
zags around and it's just got massive, big gum trees either side of it.
Has been it's pretty dangerous for cars. People have killed himselves hitting the
trees over the years. But he was driving coming back home. He was
with his girlfriend at the time. This is probably the early nineteen nineties.
He's a bit older than me and late eighties, early nineties I think it
was. And then he driving on the road with his girlfriend and the yawe
wasn't yawe had jung. He ran across the road in front of him,
and that was the first time he'd actually seen one. And he ain't he
you know, stopped the car and got out and had a look and couldn't
see it, and just jumped back in the car and he said to his
girlfriend, you saw what I saw? She said, yeah, he's like
a little like this late creature ran across the road and he's like, it
wasn't a kangaroo, it wasn't a wallaby. She's no, it was running
on two legs. It wasn't hopping. So he gave me that report,
so I put it up as a yeah, we written witness report. And
then he actually said to his brothers that he saw one. And there are
like laughing at him and h had making jokes and you know, had a
good time making fun of him. But it was he said it was some
not long after that could have been a few weeks to a couple of mask
that his brother or brothers and friends are on horses and going down one of
the trails there and a junge ran right across in front of him and they
all saw it, and they all went back to him straight away. We
saw it, We saw it. We sorry for making it fun of you.
Yeah. Um, yeah, there's a there's a there's a lot of
stories out there, um and uh, you know it's they're good to listen
to, and a lot of them have the same you know, generalize stories.
Its same. You know the size of the creature and the color of
the creature and basically you know the creature pretty mostly. And he's seen it
for a few seconds because it was running faster the new same bolt and that
was upper Ridge. You know that a human couldn't do that. There was
one story the at the the AYR Witness Reports which is on YouTube, and
it's actually people recorded talking about their their their siding or encounter. There's a
lady driving a car and there was a yeahwe she said it was running alongside
her car at one hundred kilometers an hour. Wow. And then actually and
then they actually kind of ran across the road in front of the car because
he slowed down a bit and say, well, what the hell is this?
And then it just went in front of the car and then ran across
the road and went into the bush. That's what she said. So I
can only go on what what what the report says, But yeah, I
don't doubt it that they can run quick because the one that I heard with
the marimara, how that ran across the come across the creek, through the
bush, up the ridge like kangaroos when they go up I'm just trying to
dismiss a kangaroo here. Kangaroos when they go up a ridge, they don't
go straight up. They'll go up on an angle like a zigzag because they
just can't go up straight. It's just it's their body makeup just they just
can't get up this and they'll just go zigzag and all zig zag their way
out where this thing's just gone bang straight up and this ridge is like all
fallen logs, all rocks, massive boulders, and this thing's just gone up
there within about five seconds. That a ridge is probably thirty meters high,
And that takes us about forty five minutes to hike out to get up to
the plateau at the top before the track gets flat, to get up there.
And even though we've got backpacks, but even if you're going to got
a light day pack, which is maybe a couple of sandwiches and water,
it still takes you, you know, time to get up that ridge on
the trail. So I believe people when they say they move really really quick,
because I've witnessed it myself. Over here, there's a lot of talk
about the government actively suppressing the information or covering up that you know, Bigfoot
exists. Do you have that same sort of thing happening in Australia with the
awe. Some people have said things about the government must know, and the
government this and the government that, But nah, I'm pretty sure that Look,
if they think that they're there, they wouldn't let anyone know. Yeah,
but I've really not come across anything that's all any stories about the government's
having any to do with trying to find yaois or anything like that. People
here, I think more about the National Parks close areas for reasons other than
there's been a landslide in the area, there's something wrong with the track and
it needs upgrading, or they're planning some sort of like they do for the
wild dogs. They put baits out, so sometimes they close the areas because
of the baits and that out there. But yeah, but people have more
of an opinion that the National Parks will close areas because maybe they know there's
Yawe's there and they don't want people to be there and something like that.
But look, I don't think so. I think I'm not sure about what
your government does, but I haven't had anything to say that they've got anything
to do with looking for Yawees or anything like that. Now. The other
night, whenever we first talked, you know, Robert introduced us in messenger.
You mentioned something about an encounter with something that was in a Yawi and
I have been dying to talk to you about it. Tell me what happened,
man, what did you see? Don't look this. We've seen a
few things while we've been out filming track Search for Astra's big Foot and Tracking
the Law. But Masie, we've tracked Search for Astra's big Foot, and
every time something's happened, it's been not only myself see it, there's been
up to three to four people see. So we were virtually one of the
first nights filming for Tracking the Law, and nothing from this night was put
in the actual finished product because really nothing happened. There was no wooden knocks,
there was no yowee activity or anything of the sort. And we were
down in our valley. It was we had, you know, we had.
We're just quiet in the dark, sitting there waiting for anything to happen,
with our sound recorders out and everything that. So we've decided nothing's here,
We're going to go back up to the cars. So we spent about
half an hour hiking back up the redge to the car park and it's four
of us there and we're just having a chat before we go. And I
think it was something about midnight, maybe twelve thirty and something like, and
one of the boys Duo, who's in the track search forress Australia's big Foot.
He says, I just saw something run across the road, like this
little black thing, little black creatures that I'm like, I sure wasn't a
wallaby. And I've got out there with my torch. I've got a lead
lens and head torch which is really bright, and I've just shot it through
the bush there down the ridge. I said, well, we can't see
anything, there's nothing here, and I think you may send a wallaby just
hot through and he says no, no, he s ran on two legs.
I'm like, okay, So we've gone back to the cars. When
he walked about twenty meters away, and until us talking was one of the
other guys that was there with us. And then we've been a couple of
minutes, Duo said, can you say that that black thing it's there.
And by the time I've looked up at Tiller saw it. By the time
I've looked up, I was actually had my back to them. I was
putting some of my gear in the car at the time, and I've turned
around and as I looked up, they said, oh, it's gone,
And I said, what it looked like and they said, it's like a
little mini slender Man type creature. And it's jet black and it's just black.
Everything about it is black. There's no face or nothing. It's this
his black creature, like this black kind of like but they like a ghost
thing. It's not white, but it's black. I'm like, okay,
I'm thinking these guys seeing something. So we just stand there, look around,
and we're looking towards these two massive, big boulders that like the way
twenty times each. They're huge, and in between them his little gaps.
And then all of a sudden, I went, look, there it is.
And I actually said it myself, and I'm like, they're not.
They're not lying, they're not. You know, it is there. And
I'm like, what the hell is that? They were just standing there this
it's two arms, two legs, and body in the head and it was
just jet black. You couldn't see a face. There's no hair, you
could. It was just like someone just drew this thing, like you know,
you see slender Man on the on the internet. You know, they
might draw it. Someone's drawn. It just looked like that, but it
was it was only like two foot tall. It was like small and we're
a though really spun out, like what is this thing? Then it went
behind the rocks come out to the other side. And by that time Timon
was the other guy. He had a firm or monocular. But the type
I've got, I can just press a button and I can record and take
photos. But he's monocular is old and you need to get like an iPad,
an iPhone and Wi Fi to your iPhone and then press record on your
on your iPad on the iPhone. So we're just using it, and him
and Tiler and him were using it. They just swatch switch between themselves back
and forth, and they're looking at it and they go and it's not even
showing up as like bright like a bright yellow e color that's what a heat
signature under that setting would show. It said it was still jet black.
And so until I said, ntil, I give me the third one overlook
And as I went together, he said, oh it's gone. It disappeared,
and like to this day, I wouldn't have a clue what it is.
But until they's done a little bit of research into some kind of like
um these kind of could I say kind of like a like a ghostly apparitions
that got to do with like the indigenous stories that you know they're not white
like ghosts actually black, and you know that they've they've talked about and I'm
like, we just happened to maybe come across fun. I'm not sure what
they name him, but yeah, that's what we've seen. And that was
really weird. And like even while filming down the South Coast for a track,
um, I was a bit tired, and you know, we're standing
up for hours and hours and you know, it's about twelve two thirty again,
and I just sat down and I thought I just filmed micro bats.
There was heaps of microbats in this bush land, and I had my thermal,
was just about the press record and then this you'll foe just went poop
and popped up in the sky started flying over us. It was around and
had a white load in the on the bottom of it. So I got
the thermal and I'm filming it. And as I'm filming, I'm taking my
eye away and I'm trying to see if I could see it myself. I
couldn't see it. And I'm saying that the boys flying over us, and
they going, yeah, yeah, whatever. I'm going to tell you,
I'm filming it. So I kind of leaning back at my chair and I
couldn't get any further us. I had to get up, and as I
turned around, it was already zoomed away and it was probably you as a
couple of hundred meters away, and then it kind of zoomed to the ride
and went over the trees and it was gone. So um, we got
that. And then another one was we were down filming for a track and
we're out an area in the Jamison Valley and the boys had been there the
night before me because my son had played a football Grand final and I wanted
to watch the football Grand Final and I said I'll come down the next day.
So they already spent like an afternoon and a night there and they said
they heard are like a woman screaming and making a noise. And that area
was used for mining kerosene for the sorry the shale, Yeah, kerosene shale
may mine there. There was some coal mines at Katoomba, so there was
a lot of people working in that area and there was a lot of not
much occupational health and safety. There was a few people that died in the
area, so there's been a bit of a like ghostly activity down there,
especially at nighttime. And so I've come down and we've gone out into the
Jamison Valley, left our tents and everything there at the kampsite. Nothing really
happened, because a lot of times we go out to film for track there,
you know, a lot of things didn't happen. At times, everything
happened, it just went't crazy, and it was really good. So we've
come back to the campsite and the boys are we just started to put some
sticks to make a fire, and I had I was looking towards the west
in the chair, and I were looking towards me looking towards the east.
And we're in about a couple of minutes of sitting down and just talking about
what we're going to do and all that kind of things for the filming of
the documentary, and this big kind of white ghostly figure just goes flying through
the air along the trail from my right to the left, and we're about
twenty meters down from the trail and it just boomed gone, And as I
said, what the hell is that? Until it's like looked around and he
goes, I saw it, and it looked like you know, the ghost
from the first Ghostbusters when they first go into that library and it's floating going
through the books exactly like that, exactly like that, And it was probably
it's probably about a meter meter and a half like high in length. And
I got a good like five second look at it, and I can't say
it didn't really shape of a body, which just like this white kind of
it looked like ghost what can I say, look like ghost curtains or something
flying through the bush. The curtains were actually a ghost. I don't know.
I'm just trying to explain something of what I saw. I didn't see
any kind of body shape. I just saw like clothes or something flying through
the air. They looked like it was all really really white. And because
I didn't see any head or arms, and I'm like, what's that?
So the boy's got a bit breaked out because what happened to night before.
So we actually packed up, and I was happy to say, look,
I'll just stay here and see what goes on. You know, because I've
camped down the bush by myself, it doesn't bother me. And until it's
like are you really I'm going to have to stay there, and I can't
leave you here, all right, you guys are freaked. I'll come out
without. So anyway, we've gone. We're hiking out. We've got about
it's about two it's about three caves from that keep site to get to the
bottom of the ridge, and there's another eight hundred meters straight up called the
Golden Staircase to get to the cars. So we've got about three quarters the
way to where the golden staircases. And I'm about twenty meters in front of
the boys because one of the guys, how do we shoe lace up?
So the trail kind of bends around a bit, and I'm on one side
of it and just coming around when they stopped to do the shoe lace up.
And as I'm kind of like looking around, going oh yeah, they
stopped and I was just walking slow and the ridge above me a little bit
higher than me, and there's a couple of fallen logs and all the bush
there, and something just goes watch out this really big, like strong manly
voice, and I'm like what. And this is in a valley and it's
quite You can maybe hear like a bird, night bird, make a noise
or an hour in the distance. There's nothing. It's quite as there's no
crickets making noises, there's no frogs. It is just dead quiet, like
you're in a cave. And I turn around the tiller there getting closer to
me, and they said, do you guys just tell me to watch out?
Nigger? What what do you want about it? I'm like, it's
up to screened at me to say watch out. And I'm like, I
said, from then on, I should be walking around when I'm walking at
night and just have a sound recorder and clip it onto my backpack so if
something does tell me to watch out the future, I can get recorded.
So that happened. And then the last weird thing that happened was we were
in the Blue Mountains again and ruin a different area and we've been up recording
for the track, and we'd come down and it's probably one o'clock in the
morning and Unkiller's like, oh, who wants to make a cab of coffee.
I'm like, all right, well have coffee, And I just said,
ah, nah, If I were coffee, when I go home and
go to bed, I won't be able to sleep. So I'm just kind
of like standing on his dirt raid that we parked our cars on the side
and the boys are making a coffee and I said to it, Tiller,
is here a car coming down here? Because cars can go in through this
troll all night. The don't they don't fence it off, wash up the
gates. And we'll probably about three quarters away along the trail to the fire
trail that we're on the dirt road to the end where there's a big mountain
and there's a big gross valley and there's all the lookouts there where people go,
but there's no one there. All the cars had gone. And I
just said him, because he guess why you're asking. As a car,
you'd be able to see him come down the ridge down and it goes behind
another ridge and end around the corner, and then you could see it coming
directly towards us. And I said, because the whole bush lit up like
daytime, I'm going, not like someone's like high beams from their car or
you know, their full drive lights are real big one as the spotlights.
I'm going, it looked like a sun mini sun just turned up in a
natural light lit up the whole place. And they're like, what are you
talking about? I'm tell me now that that's what happened. So for a
swit second, now I went, do I get my camera out and I
pressed record, put it on night vision and just put it on the bonnet
of my car and point it that way. And I'm thinking it won't happen
again. But I stood on that road. I'm just looking and this looking
south down southwards and look and this is about probably eighty to about ninety meters
away. It's where this happened. And I'm just standing on the road thinking,
if that's something's appeared, it might appear again, but I'll just keep
looking. And about twenty minutes later, there's big like a beach ball,
big beach ball size ball, like a flames. We call him minimn lights
here where you can people have called him ball lightning. That's all I can
explain. So it's a big round ball, as big as a big blow
up beach ball, and I had a red ring around it, and it
was like it was like it was flames, Like it was like the sun
just turned up and just started floating across the road about a meter off the
road, and I just went, you know the same thing, what the
hell is that so Tyler's Tyler's like a tall guy. He's like six foot
three or six foot four, and he's just done. He's big leap and
he just right behind me. So he says he got about a two second
look at it and then it just blew up and lit everything up like daytime
in this for a split second. And I'm just looking at him and we're
quiet, and I'm just just seeking did I just see what I just saw?
Like? And I'm going to what did you see? And he saying
what did you see? I'm gone, what did you see? And we
just got to talk and I'm gonna go I saw like a like a mini
sun just come out of the bush, and I had a red ring and
it looked like flames. He goes, well, that's what I saw.
And I go and then it blow up and like I look, it was
like when it blew up, I was like, um, you like a
firecracker goes off. All those little sparkly things go everywhere. It was like
that, and it lit the place up like daytime. And he goes,
that's what I saw. So he got his camera and gone running up there
and he's trying and he's asking me what did you see? And I'm into
the camera going, this is what I saw, and it's like nighttime,
so it's in the night vision or green and I was He's played it to
me that part of the recording, and I was just like spun out.
I just like I'm going here trying to look for Yow's and there's like slender
man like creature turning up. Someone told me to watch out a ghost flying
on the trail and a little mini done comes flying out of the bush.
I'm just like I've seen everything, like there's nothing else. Nothing shocks me.
No more, I'm killing you. Nothing shocks me. I can't.
I've seen just everything that you could see. You're just going down the checklist,
marking them off left and right. It's like a bucket list, and
I've gone, yeah, done it, done it. It is crazy you
go out to look for something, and something else that you never thought possible
pops out of the bush. It's just crazy. I don't know. I
just can't get my head around that one. Like I wish I put my
camera and I wish I put my camera. I'm just so angry at myself.
It was a five second thing to do, and I would have had
it on bloody film. Oh spure mate. The things you do with the
things you see, the things you see when you're out look over. Yeah's
you don't get Yeah, we's to get every other crazy thing in the world.
Well, I will say this, it takes quite a bit to impress
me whenever it comes to UFO videos. And uh yeah, your UFO video
left me scratching my head. I don't have an explanation for that one.
I mean, what else could it have been? I mean, may,
we're in a we're in a state forest, and we're about one and a
half to two hours south of Sydney, and then we're about a good i'd
say, twenty five minute drive into the forest. There's no one out there.
Um, it's just quite as and I just happened to be, you
know, for I just want to sit down for a while, been standing
for hours, and I just thought i'd film the microbats and you can you
can see the microbats flying around like zooming past. Well, this was probably
i'd say a couple of hundred meters high, maybe three hundred meters four hundred
meters at the at the most above us. And it was quiet, no
noise and even like that little white light. You can see it when you
put it on a bigger screen like a TV. You can hook up your
computers up. You can see the white light on the bottom of it.
And it's not a drone because drones you can hear that even three or undred
meters above us. There's a guy in my area. He finds a drone
every three weeks over our houses. And it's three or four hundred meters above
us, and you can hear the noise clearly. So if I'm in a
bush area and it's like quiet as there's no noises from anything, you'd hear
that for sure. But it's to me, it seemed like when I was
filming it like it was big as a small car. Like that's that's that's
just my opinion. But yeah, that's crazy just to get get me thermal
out and say I'll just film up in the sky I can't find Yeah,
he's but there's a your phoe. Yeah. I don't know. I just
it's just these things that keep happening. I don't know what else can happen
to me out there. I really don't know what happened, like anything that
happens. Yeah, we just come out of the bush and stand right in
front of me. Then I can just go tick, yeah, yeah,
we right next to me. Though, Um, yeah, it's really weird
things. I it had me thinking, you know what, I don't know.
I had me thinking trying to comprehend some of these things, and hey,
it gives myself some answers, but I just couldn't. So I just
stop thinking about it. Right if I if I see something, I'll see
it. I'll try and think what is this thing and how like how could
like this little ball oft of like flames come out of the bush and what
made it? And where did it come from? And I don't know.
I would definitely start turning on a video camera every time I got out of
the vehicle and just leave it running the entire time you're out there. Yeah.
I've done that. I've done that where I've just I've thought I'm finished
researching, but I'll just leave the tripod near the tent, press them the
camera on habit a night vision. I'll just had a record till the battery
runs out. I've done that too, Yeah, but I haven't picked an
anything up. But it's just, yeah, these things happen, and it
don't happen for long. You know, everything I've seen was only for you
know, five seconds, but enough time for you to focus on this thing
and go, yeah, like what's that like? And you're look looking at
watching you go, this is something from a cgi special effects, you know,
in a movie, you know, but it's not a movie. It's
real and it's like funny meet us from me, or it's eighty meters down
the road like it's flying over me, and you know, and you're not
even you know, I'm not even looking for them things. You know,
if I went to try and look for them things, I'll never film him
in my life, not at all. You'd never even see one. Well,
Dan, I appreciate it. Where can people find you? You got
a YouTube channel? Yeah, I got a YouTube channel. It's called Australian
yawi um and all my videos are on there. Lately, I've just been
making some historical videos because I all my research as Blue Mountains, So I'll
just be making some historical videos about old railway lines and that have been made.
And there there's old tunnels that's still there that are not used, and
an old boiler that was used for when there were an old saw mill back
in an early nineteen hundreds, which is down in the valley and the interesting
things to to to watch and learn. And so I've just been making them
because look, in the summertime in Australia, Um, there's snakes. They're
really poisonous here, like the top I think twenty folk snakes in the world.
We've got like the top twenty one or something. And the brown snake
is the second most deadly snake in the world, but to us it's the
most dangerous because it's a pretty angry snake. And if you get bitten by
one in abortion you're in the valley, that's it. Unless you get someone
to get you quickly to a hospital. We've been about half an hour.
You're in real trouble. And a guy recently just died getting bit by a
snake bush walking because he couldn't get to the hospital quick enough and you only
got about half an hour. Their venom is really strong. So summertime I
just go out and hikes and when it's a cooler day. But look at
the moment, it's going to be over in the mid thirty degrees here at
Celsius, so you're looking at the high nineties too, up to around one
hundred I think in fahrenheit, so I think that's pretty hot even for you
guys. Yeah, there's too many dangerous snakes and that out there, and
I'd never get any I'd never get much activity when it's summertime. He hads
just too hot. So with the time, it's a lot. You can
just you know, you can walk through trails and bush bash it and not
have any faier of snakes. You've still got the funnel web spiders that if
they buy you, we're in real trouble too. It's like the most venomous
spider in the world. But very rarely do you anyone get bit by him.
I haven't heard anyone get bit by and for ages. But yeah,
I'm not on Facebook. I'm just on YouTube and it's under Australian yawee and
you'll see a picture of me standing on the log with my back with a
backpack on. That's the my YouTube channel and yeah, so I've got all
my stuff on there. But if you want to listen to an interesting video,
there's one. The last time I went to Maramara and I think it
was twenty twenty two, and that's got all the twenty five minutes of sound
recordings while we're out there in the bush, and you can hear the rocks
getting thrown, and you can hear the water driplets coming off the what have
a walk through that creek that time, and you can hear things getting ripped
out of the ground and getting chucked into the creek. So that's where you're
finding awesome. Man. Once again, thank you for coming on and sharing
your amazing stories and I wish you the best of luck your quest for the
Yawi. Thank you very much, and they've had a great time talking to
you about my favorite subject, the yawe. And if you've had an encounter
