<v Speaker 1>I was looking ahead driving my car, and as I
<v Speaker 1>passed closer to this swamp, I saw something out of
<v Speaker 1>the corner of my left eye. It moved really fast.
<v Speaker 1>I saw some motion. I saw a figure standing on
<v Speaker 1>the left side of the road kind of moved around
<v Speaker 1>a little bit, faced me head on, looking at me.
<v Speaker 1>And then right before when it got to the woods
<v Speaker 1>on the right hand side, it stopped, and then it
<v Speaker 1>turned and faced me again, and I locked eyes with
<v Speaker 1>it probably two or three seconds, it felt like forever.
<v Speaker 2>Just to start us off, how did you get involved
<v Speaker 2>and interested in the subject of Bigfoot?
<v Speaker 1>Well, growing up in Virginia. When I was in elementary school,
<v Speaker 1>I remembered I got a book from the library and
<v Speaker 1>it had some things, not just Bigfoot, but I became
<v Speaker 1>interested in you, oh, some of this stuff might be real,
<v Speaker 1>you know. I had some Bigfoot books and you know,
<v Speaker 1>lockness monster our research or not research, but I read
<v Speaker 1>books on it when I was a kid, for aliens,
<v Speaker 1>all kinds of psychics, all that stuff, and I thought
<v Speaker 1>it was interesting. And then I remember seeing like the
<v Speaker 1>Patterson Gimlin film, and I had these big Foot books
<v Speaker 1>and I read them so many times I could, you know,
<v Speaker 1>probably remember lots of the stories from them, and they
<v Speaker 1>fell apart and my parents taped them back together with
<v Speaker 1>some and but yes, but I had never I've always
<v Speaker 1>been interested in that stuff, and I've had some other
<v Speaker 1>little I guess, like maybe psychic experiences or things like that.
<v Speaker 1>I think in a lot of those books, I was
<v Speaker 1>more under the impression that Bigfoot was more in the
<v Speaker 1>Pacific Northwest or out west, although I did know about,
<v Speaker 1>you know, like some things in Florida, and I just thought,
<v Speaker 1>maybe Bigfoot in Virginia. Maybe maybe that's you know, maybe
<v Speaker 1>it happened sometimes or whatever. But back in the nineties,
<v Speaker 1>when I from the Internet first came out, I saw
<v Speaker 1>I found a story about a guy from Virginia who
<v Speaker 1>had seen un in Virginia. So then it got me thinking, oh, well,
<v Speaker 1>maybe maybe bigfoots are in Virginia, which is where I
<v Speaker 1>lived at the time. I grew up in central Virginia.
<v Speaker 1>So years later I went to my first bigfoot conference.
<v Speaker 1>I think it was back in it was before I
<v Speaker 1>came here, so it's been over fifteen years ago. And
<v Speaker 1>I met that guy at a bigfoot conference, the one
<v Speaker 1>in from Virginia. And then it leads me to where
<v Speaker 1>I am now, when I came to North Carolinas, where
<v Speaker 1>I had my fighting. But I personally I believe in
<v Speaker 1>it because too many people have seen them and you know,
<v Speaker 1>the too many witnesses. And then I didn't have my
<v Speaker 1>first excite, you know, encounter till I came to North Carolina.
<v Speaker 1>But that's how I first became interested in it.
<v Speaker 2>That's kind of a really neat story in a lot
<v Speaker 2>of ways, pretty similar to my own with the growing
<v Speaker 2>up and reading the books. And I tell people, back
<v Speaker 2>before the internet, whenever your only resources for this sort
<v Speaker 2>of thing were books, all those subjects kind of got
<v Speaker 2>mixed in together, and we're in the same books and
<v Speaker 2>sold in the same sections and at the same sections
<v Speaker 2>in the library and everything. So you didn't end up
<v Speaker 2>just reading about bigfoot. You ended up reading about all
<v Speaker 2>kinds of stuff. And that's really neat. I was kind
<v Speaker 2>of more into ghost stuff personally whenever I would younger,
<v Speaker 2>and yeah, you know, I had, like you're saying, I
<v Speaker 2>had a couple of books on bigfoot and it really
<v Speaker 2>interested me and everything. But I was from Oklahoma, and
<v Speaker 2>like you, I thought it was just you know, oh, well,
<v Speaker 2>that's kind of a thing out there in the Pacific Northwest,
<v Speaker 2>you know, it's probably not even here or anything. It
<v Speaker 2>wasn't until the Internet that my eyes were opened to
<v Speaker 2>the fact that these things are seen everywhere, it seems,
<v Speaker 2>not just in the Pacific Northwest. So that's really neat
<v Speaker 2>that you you know, read about a guy in Virginia
<v Speaker 2>and then actually got to meet him. What was that
<v Speaker 2>like that conversation.
<v Speaker 1>I think the actual conference, but it was funny because
<v Speaker 1>it was in West Virginia. So I think there was
<v Speaker 1>a mix up on the internet and I thought it
<v Speaker 1>was one date you no, and I think I can't remember,
<v Speaker 1>but I think I called it this is it this
<v Speaker 1>weekend or is it the next So I drove all
<v Speaker 1>that time. When I got there, I found out I
<v Speaker 1>probably drove four hours or something five hours or when
<v Speaker 1>I got there, I found out, oh no, no, no,
<v Speaker 1>that's somebody else. Can it's next weekend? So and they
<v Speaker 1>said they said, I wasn't the first that came here
<v Speaker 1>and drove all that. Uh. I came back the next
<v Speaker 1>weekend because I wanted to go to it. I drove
<v Speaker 1>out of the way because I had heard about this
<v Speaker 1>guy having a sighting up in Culpepper Virginia was kind
<v Speaker 1>of northern Virginia, not too far from where I grew up. Uh,
<v Speaker 1>But but I got I went. I went to see
<v Speaker 1>it was another guy I was an expert on wildlife,
<v Speaker 1>talking about bigfoot. And then this other guy who I
<v Speaker 1>had read about, you know, I'd heard his story. He
<v Speaker 1>happened to be there because he went to see it too.
<v Speaker 1>So I got to meet him, and uh, he showed
<v Speaker 1>me he was with another guy. They showed me I
<v Speaker 1>think a twelve inch footprint cast. I think it was
<v Speaker 1>from Maryland. It's a famous case from Maryland. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know if it was back in the eighties or the seventies.
<v Speaker 1>If you say the name, I'll know it. But I
<v Speaker 1>can't think of it off the top of my head.
<v Speaker 1>And but he showed me that it was a small
<v Speaker 1>footprint cast. But but you know, that was it was
<v Speaker 1>great getting to meet hum, I think, and then I
<v Speaker 1>think later on, I'm going to tell him about my fighting,
<v Speaker 1>but I think he had he had passed away a
<v Speaker 1>couple of you know, I don't know how long it's
<v Speaker 1>been now a few years ago now, but.
<v Speaker 2>That was enough to really uh get you going on
<v Speaker 2>the idea of going out and looking for these things
<v Speaker 2>or how involved in it were you at that point.
<v Speaker 1>I would say I would be interested in looking for him,
<v Speaker 1>but it was more like more of an on chair thing,
<v Speaker 1>you know. I would sit back and I don't know
<v Speaker 1>if podcasts were around too much back then, but I
<v Speaker 1>would read books. If I heard something on the internet,
<v Speaker 1>you know, and I found out this happened to find
<v Speaker 1>this thing, I would have gone out and looked for
<v Speaker 1>a big front. Only problem was I didn't know a
<v Speaker 1>lot of people back then who had, you know, who
<v Speaker 1>had seen a big foot. People certainly didn't talk about it,
<v Speaker 1>and I knew about people in books, but at that
<v Speaker 1>time I wasn't out, actually, you know, in the woods
<v Speaker 1>looking for a big foot. But you know, but as
<v Speaker 1>a kid, I grew up on a farm in central
<v Speaker 1>Virginia and we had a lot of woods around, so
<v Speaker 1>I had been in the woods a lot, you know,
<v Speaker 1>and I enjoyed taking hikes and such, and you know,
<v Speaker 1>wondering Even when I was a kid, I was wondering,
<v Speaker 1>you know, if there was a big foot around. But
<v Speaker 1>later on, as I got older, I was kind of thought, well,
<v Speaker 1>maybe there's not not any big foots around, you know,
<v Speaker 1>maybe they're out more West or something. But yeah, I
<v Speaker 1>hadn't they started looking for him as an adult at
<v Speaker 1>that point in my life because and I didn't have
<v Speaker 1>anywhere to go either, like it wasn't really a I
<v Speaker 1>guess a state park close or I didn't really have time.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, what got you past that hump? What got you
<v Speaker 2>to go out into the woods and seek these things out?
<v Speaker 1>So, as I said before, I didn't know about anyone
<v Speaker 1>around me who had seen a bigfoot. So when I
<v Speaker 1>moved here to North Carolina, I think was about twenty ten,
<v Speaker 1>so I had been here, you know, a few years,
<v Speaker 1>and I will say it's not the place where typically
<v Speaker 1>and of course i'll tell you later there's some things
<v Speaker 1>about bigfoot that I thought, which later on proof can
<v Speaker 1>either not totally be true. So I've come around, you know,
<v Speaker 1>full circle in my beliefs or expectations. But I was
<v Speaker 1>I think it was around. It wasn't. My sighting was
<v Speaker 1>in twenty seventeen, so it was a couple of years
<v Speaker 1>before that. I was working at a school and I
<v Speaker 1>saw something I don't know, I had to look at
<v Speaker 1>the newspaper or something, and it was something about, uh,
<v Speaker 1>strange footprints found at Medock Mountain State Park. So I
<v Speaker 1>did go to that state park, I think one before.
<v Speaker 1>When I was here, I just stopped by the ranger station.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't really go into the wood, but I knew
<v Speaker 1>where it was. And then I kind of saw that
<v Speaker 1>and kind of forgot about it. So I guess I
<v Speaker 1>think that was a lout of February of one year.
<v Speaker 1>So the next I'm talking from it, I'm saying, screw year,
<v Speaker 1>I'm a teacher, but I'm thinking about a year later.
<v Speaker 1>I saw seeing something on Facebook about a lady seeing
<v Speaker 1>a bigfoot down in the town of Littleton, North Carolina,
<v Speaker 1>which is in uh Halifax County to the Western Park,
<v Speaker 1>and so I was like, oh, my god, somebody somebody
<v Speaker 1>actually fall before that was my first experien around the area,
<v Speaker 1>and I researched this story. I found it, like, I
<v Speaker 1>think on the internet or something. It was in the
<v Speaker 1>newspaper I believe. Oh, you can find it on YouTube
<v Speaker 1>if you look at it. And looking in Littleton was
<v Speaker 1>the lady who had seen a big foot in her
<v Speaker 1>backyard one morning. After I found out about this, I
<v Speaker 1>kind of researched on the internet and I found out
<v Speaker 1>that I don't know not long after, there was this
<v Speaker 1>museum that opened up. It's still their day, only in
<v Speaker 1>a different building. It was down in Littleton, and I
<v Speaker 1>found out that. So I went down there, you know,
<v Speaker 1>to find out. I went to this museum and I
<v Speaker 1>met the you know, the owner and now I've gone
<v Speaker 1>out with the owner you know, and some other people
<v Speaker 1>on Bigfoot expedition. But I went there and I would
<v Speaker 1>kind of find out about this Bigfoot that people had
<v Speaker 1>been And then when I met these other couple of
<v Speaker 1>people there and they would tell me about they had
<v Speaker 1>had a fighting, yeah in Virginia, back in on the
<v Speaker 1>eastern part of Virginia. I don't know when, but they
<v Speaker 1>said multiple people in the van had seen it. So
<v Speaker 1>that got my hopes up. Okay, maybe there is something
<v Speaker 1>out there. So when I left the museum, you know,
<v Speaker 1>I drove up this road that was right behind the museum. Coincidentally,
<v Speaker 1>like probably island that probably one hundred hundred and fifty
<v Speaker 1>yard back, that's where the Bigfoot was seen. It had
<v Speaker 1>come up into the Ladies town right radio Lady's Yard,
<v Speaker 1>right on the edge of going out of the town.
<v Speaker 1>So I started that summer when I had a little
<v Speaker 1>vac time off. I was under the impression that bigfoot
<v Speaker 1>probably comes out mostly in nighttime. I don't know. I
<v Speaker 1>figured they were nocturnal so well. I remembered a couple
<v Speaker 1>of mornings, probably at five o'clock, I would drive my
<v Speaker 1>car up towards Littleton and drive it up that road,
<v Speaker 1>just wondering if a bigfoot would show itself. I never
<v Speaker 1>saw anything, so it wasn't until so it was about
<v Speaker 1>a year and a half because the ladies sighting in
<v Speaker 1>her yard was I think around January. So it was
<v Speaker 1>a year and a half later that I went. I
<v Speaker 1>just I made it, uh and I made it in
<v Speaker 1>my mind. I said, I'm gonna go ahead because the
<v Speaker 1>new school year is starting. Vaccine. It was in August,
<v Speaker 1>and I said, I'm going to go up to Meadock
<v Speaker 1>Mountain State Park. And the reason I chose this area
<v Speaker 1>it was because when they had found those tracks before,
<v Speaker 1>and I found out more information about it by that
<v Speaker 1>time from the people at the museum, the Paranormal Cryptosology Museum.
<v Speaker 1>I found out some of those reports from meadyk Mountain
<v Speaker 1>State Park into show like something with ears on top
<v Speaker 1>of his head walking up right. Some people said it
<v Speaker 1>was like a dog man a werewolf, and they had
<v Speaker 1>some tracks at the museum that were three they cast
<v Speaker 1>at that one of those sightings, it was had three
<v Speaker 1>three claws on it and some were what I understand
<v Speaker 1>to be your standard bigfoot. So I decided to go
<v Speaker 1>up there in August and I took my I said,
<v Speaker 1>what am I gonna do? Walk in the woods and
<v Speaker 1>expect to see a big foot? I had I've got
<v Speaker 1>to do something like they did on television. I've seen
<v Speaker 1>big foot shows on television and I saw, you know,
<v Speaker 1>people fried bacon, people sing, people play instruments, and I said,
<v Speaker 1>what can I do? And I'm I was a percussionist
<v Speaker 1>of you know, playing drums and everything in high school
<v Speaker 1>and band. So I'd gotten a Native American flute a
<v Speaker 1>few years ago, two of them, and I learned how
<v Speaker 1>to play some songs on it. So I said, why
<v Speaker 1>don't I just go into the woods, you know, and
<v Speaker 1>if I don't see any bigfoot, I can take my
<v Speaker 1>fleet and play some songs. Maybe that'll maybe that I
<v Speaker 1>was under the oppression. I said, maybe that will attract
<v Speaker 1>a bigfoot. And I got that in I got that
<v Speaker 1>idea from watching on a big foot show. Uh, there
<v Speaker 1>was this. I'm Notative American, but there was a guy
<v Speaker 1>on there, I think, playing a flute and a Native
<v Speaker 1>American playing a flute, and they were talking about how
<v Speaker 1>a big foot showed up. So I figured i'd do that.
<v Speaker 1>So when we go ahead and tell you what happened.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I'm really interested in this story because I too
<v Speaker 2>have taken a Native American flute out into the woods
<v Speaker 2>and played it trying to see if a bigfoot would
<v Speaker 2>be drawn in by it.
<v Speaker 1>So it was I don't know the date of the
<v Speaker 1>actual date I went into the park. So I went
<v Speaker 1>up to the park and it was probably in the
<v Speaker 1>middle of the week, like a Wednesday or something. But
<v Speaker 1>I walked around the park and I had never been
<v Speaker 1>in the woods there. I'd been in the woods once
<v Speaker 1>maybe for like two minutes, just because I was driving by.
<v Speaker 1>I wanted to see it. This is my first time
<v Speaker 1>actually walking out into the woods for a while. So
<v Speaker 1>I took the fleet. I played some songs. Sometimes i'd
<v Speaker 1>sit down, you know, I'd read this stuff on the trees,
<v Speaker 1>like this was a tree, you know, information about it,
<v Speaker 1>little signs everywhere. Once in a while, I'd play some songs,
<v Speaker 1>walk around. I didn't see any big foot, which I
<v Speaker 1>didn't think I would. I thought that maybe I would
<v Speaker 1>be slightly more likely, so I walked around. It took
<v Speaker 1>me like three hours, I think, just walking around out there,
<v Speaker 1>and then I realized I'd come full circle, but I
<v Speaker 1>had to walk back a different way to get to
<v Speaker 1>my car. One thing I did see was I saw
<v Speaker 1>the sticks. Some of them were broken off, and I
<v Speaker 1>don't remember how tall they were, but there was stacked
<v Speaker 1>like in a tepee formation, like against a tree. And
<v Speaker 1>I also noticed I don't know if I noticed it
<v Speaker 1>on that day, but I've seen a big tree, like
<v Speaker 1>a big tree out there that was bent and I'm
<v Speaker 1>not sure how the tree could have been bent like
<v Speaker 1>that without breaking. It was just like in a loop,
<v Speaker 1>like arched over. But I I did see some smaller
<v Speaker 1>trees that were bent like that, and just that I
<v Speaker 1>was like, hmm, that's interesting. And so after that day
<v Speaker 1>I didn't see a big foot. I said, you know,
<v Speaker 1>it was getting close to me having to go back
<v Speaker 1>to work again for the year for school, so I said,
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna come back one more time. So I came
<v Speaker 1>back the next time, and I think it was like
<v Speaker 1>a Wednesday or Thursday the following week, I took the
<v Speaker 1>fruit again into the woods. I walked around the only
<v Speaker 1>thing about this day that was different was that it
<v Speaker 1>was it was cloudy out and it started to rain some.
<v Speaker 1>But I said, well, I'll just put my hood on
<v Speaker 1>and walk around out in the wood. Prob went out
<v Speaker 1>in the wood playing the flute. I didn't go as
<v Speaker 1>far as I wanted to because the rain got so bad,
<v Speaker 1>but the trees blocked it somewhat. But as I was
<v Speaker 1>walking around playing, you know, I got this weird feeling
<v Speaker 1>like I was being watched. So I kept on looking around.
<v Speaker 1>I took my hood off raining, but I took my
<v Speaker 1>hood off because I couldn't. I kept on wanting to
<v Speaker 1>look around and see if something was there. I never
<v Speaker 1>saw anything. I just figured, okay, well i'll wrap that up.
<v Speaker 1>As you know, I went in the woods. I tried
<v Speaker 1>playing the flute to attract a bigfoot, but I didn't
<v Speaker 1>see anything. And so that's where I was at that point.
<v Speaker 1>So I was getting ready to start the school year
<v Speaker 1>and everything and go back to work, so I kind of,
<v Speaker 1>you know, forgot all about it. Just for a while.
<v Speaker 1>My sighting happened about it was either it was on
<v Speaker 1>a Monday, and it was either about a week and
<v Speaker 1>a half or about two and a half weeks later.
<v Speaker 1>I'm not sure which, because I don't remember the date
<v Speaker 1>of the second day that I went into the park.
<v Speaker 2>Whenever you were out there walking around and playing the
<v Speaker 2>flute and everything, did you run into other people? Were
<v Speaker 2>there other people out there at the time.
<v Speaker 1>I'm trying to think back, I think, okay, on the
<v Speaker 1>second I think on the first day, I'm trying to remember.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I don't recall anyone in the woods. It
<v Speaker 1>was more of a sunny day, and I may have
<v Speaker 1>come across a person. I saw people when I got back,
<v Speaker 1>because I got back to a place where it was
<v Speaker 1>an open field. So I'm sure that I probably ran
<v Speaker 1>into somebody. I want to say I did. I just
<v Speaker 1>don't remember. But the second day I was out there
<v Speaker 1>where the storm was, I didn't see anybody like in
<v Speaker 1>the rain. I was like the old as far as
<v Speaker 1>I remember, I was like the only person out there,
<v Speaker 1>so I wasn't even thinking about Bigfoot. You know, on
<v Speaker 1>this day it was on Monday, August twenty eighth, twenty seventeen,
<v Speaker 1>because I remember like yesterday, so and also I've been
<v Speaker 1>down the road that I traveled down. I traveled down
<v Speaker 1>the same road, but at the time where I was working,
<v Speaker 1>I would go down a certain road and i'd been
<v Speaker 1>by there. I think I think I had been there
<v Speaker 1>a couple at least one year, if not a couple
<v Speaker 1>of years. I've been traveling mostly in the morning, sometimes
<v Speaker 1>at night if I need to. But I'd never seen
<v Speaker 1>anything like I saw that day. And I was just
<v Speaker 1>thinking about getting to work. And it was light out
<v Speaker 1>at that time, because it was around seven o'clock. Might
<v Speaker 1>have been six fifty five, seven, seven oh five, I
<v Speaker 1>don't know exactly. But I was driving down this road.
<v Speaker 1>I come to this place where it's really swampy. There's
<v Speaker 1>some old dead trees and there you know, white bark
<v Speaker 1>and stuff picking out of the water on the left
<v Speaker 1>and on the right, and there are pine trees on
<v Speaker 1>the left upperhead and it's like I would think, my dear,
<v Speaker 1>a tree fall or something. There's some tree, a lot
<v Speaker 1>of pine trees on the right. So I'll tell you
<v Speaker 1>in general what happened first, like just so you get
<v Speaker 1>the idea of what happened that I can go back
<v Speaker 1>and tell you about the fix but I doubt the
<v Speaker 1>sighting was more than I can eleven twelve seconds at tops.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I haven't thought about I could probably sit
<v Speaker 1>down and think, okay, what are you doing this? Three
<v Speaker 1>seconds two, But I just never thought about that before.
<v Speaker 1>But probably I would say no more than twelve seconds
<v Speaker 1>if that, and it would started out. When I saw it,
<v Speaker 1>it was up ahead of me, and it was crossing
<v Speaker 1>left to right. So I was looking ahead driving my car,
<v Speaker 1>and as I passed closer to this swamp, I saw
<v Speaker 1>something out of the corner of my left eye. It
<v Speaker 1>moved really fast. I thought I saw some motion, so
<v Speaker 1>I turned, you know, I turned and looked up ahead,
<v Speaker 1>and I saw a figure standing on the left side
<v Speaker 1>of the road, and it just stepped into the road
<v Speaker 1>and walked across. This is not an interstate, this is
<v Speaker 1>just like a regular you know, yellow line highway. It
<v Speaker 1>didn't go straight across. It went diagonally across the road.
<v Speaker 1>And when it got on the grass on the green
<v Speaker 1>on the right hand side, it stopped and it turned
<v Speaker 1>like it turned and facing its mouth open, and I
<v Speaker 1>can see the black spot whether you know, whether the
<v Speaker 1>mouth was and then it kind of moved around a
<v Speaker 1>little bit and faced me head on, looking at me,
<v Speaker 1>and then it turned and walked across the grass, because
<v Speaker 1>there's a big grass strip on the left side of
<v Speaker 1>the highway and on the right side. Then it just
<v Speaker 1>walked on across the right side of the highway and
<v Speaker 1>the grass, and then right before when it got to
<v Speaker 1>the woods on the right hand side, it stopped and
<v Speaker 1>then it turned and faced me again, and I locked
<v Speaker 1>eyes with it probably two or three seconds, it felt
<v Speaker 1>like forever, but then it turned and it went to
<v Speaker 1>the wood. So that that's basically what happened. But I
<v Speaker 1>can tell you kind of what I was thinking, you know,
<v Speaker 1>specifically in a moment. I didn't know if you had
<v Speaker 1>any comments or anything.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, how far away were you whenever you saw it?
<v Speaker 2>And about how fast were you moving?
<v Speaker 1>I'm not sure how fast I was moving.
<v Speaker 3>Sometimes I'll drive sixty five, but I was probably Sometimes
<v Speaker 3>I'll drive like fifty, but okay, So it was further
<v Speaker 3>away when I when I first saw it, and as
<v Speaker 3>I was going.
<v Speaker 1>Towards it, it was crossing the road, and I would
<v Speaker 1>say when I got up at the closest point where
<v Speaker 1>it was about ready to go into the woods, I'm
<v Speaker 1>trying to think, because I'm not good at distances. But
<v Speaker 1>I would say, you know, if you're familiar with like
<v Speaker 1>a high school track, on one side, I doubt I
<v Speaker 1>would say probably maybe from one I wouldn't maybe not
<v Speaker 1>one whole side of the tract. Another probably about one
<v Speaker 1>hundred maybe one hundred yards. But even from that distance
<v Speaker 1>you could see you could tell it wasn't a human,
<v Speaker 1>So I would say probably about one hundred yards.

<v Speaker 2>spot where it crossed.
<v Speaker 1>Correct, correct, because I was my eye land okay, the
<v Speaker 1>winning right there, right, And I got up, you know,
<v Speaker 1>and I slowed the car down and was looking to
<v Speaker 1>the right, but I didn't see anything.
<v Speaker 2>And it was on two legs the entire time.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, m M. So I can tell you when I
<v Speaker 1>when I was traveling towards it and I first saw
<v Speaker 1>the figure on the on the left side of the
<v Speaker 1>road up ahead. I think it was there maybe for
<v Speaker 1>about a second. It was just standing still, and I
<v Speaker 1>wasn't thinking bigfoot, you know, that wasn't even on my mind.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't know what it was. But it's when it's
<v Speaker 1>it's stepped into the road. But it didn't look it
<v Speaker 1>didn't look like turn its head to see if traffic
<v Speaker 1>was coming. It just stepped into the road. And I
<v Speaker 1>know when it stepped into it was going diagonally because
<v Speaker 1>I did get a view of kind of like the
<v Speaker 1>back of its head, you know, and you know how
<v Speaker 1>you would and I'm telling you these things. All this
<v Speaker 1>stuff has happening in milliseconds, you know how you see
<v Speaker 1>like a lady or even a man with like shoulder
<v Speaker 1>lanked hit hair from behind. That's what it looked like,
<v Speaker 1>only where you would think that the hair would end,
<v Speaker 1>and like where you would see the shirt or whatever.
<v Speaker 1>It wasn't like that. It was like the whole body
<v Speaker 1>was brown and blonde. And I watched it, you know,
<v Speaker 1>went across the road. I would say it probably crossed
<v Speaker 1>that road diagonally, and I would say I went counting,
<v Speaker 1>but probably maybe four seconds is a guess. And it
<v Speaker 1>looked like it was moving faster. It moved faster just
<v Speaker 1>to get from across that highway. So when it when
<v Speaker 1>it gets the grass on the right side, it turned
<v Speaker 1>and it turned to me the same way that the
<v Speaker 1>pattern I know when it was crossing across the road
<v Speaker 1>I noticed that. Oh my god, you know, that's when
<v Speaker 1>all this stuff goes on. Mind. I'm like, that's you know,
<v Speaker 1>it's I'm coming to the realization it's not a human.
<v Speaker 1>But from where it was this nobody. I've seen people
<v Speaker 1>on the road like they parent or something before, you know,
<v Speaker 1>handing with aild. And I know from a distance how
<v Speaker 1>tall they Most people would probably fit in that five
<v Speaker 1>to six foot range. You know, some people might be
<v Speaker 1>short or taller. But and I know how thick a
<v Speaker 1>person's body should be, and this was much thicker. And
<v Speaker 1>you know, the head when I watched the walk, I
<v Speaker 1>think it was might have been looking down a little
<v Speaker 1>bit as it was crossed. And when it got to
<v Speaker 1>the right side, as I said, it turned and it
<v Speaker 1>turned just like the Patterson Gimlin film. The head didn't turn,
<v Speaker 1>you know, the whole body, upper body kind of turned
<v Speaker 1>and that's when it it saw me, I guess, and
<v Speaker 1>it went. It was almost as it was going, you know,
<v Speaker 1>the mouth open for a split second and it was
<v Speaker 1>you could see that black hole right there. Yeah, And
<v Speaker 1>I thought, you know, it seems like I remember maybe
<v Speaker 1>like and I didn't even know bigfoot head cane iron teeth,
<v Speaker 1>but it seemed like I remember seeing like the tips
<v Speaker 1>of the two canines, and I think they were on
<v Speaker 1>the bottom jaw. And that's all. That's the only two
<v Speaker 1>teeth I saw, So I'm left to believe that perhaps,
<v Speaker 1>you know, maybe the others are flat teeth or something.
<v Speaker 1>And then it that's when it it stopped and it
<v Speaker 1>turned towards me, and it was looking at me, and
<v Speaker 1>I'm still looking at it, taking all this in, and
<v Speaker 1>I was like, no, it's not a person. It's not
<v Speaker 1>a man in a gilly feet or something, because the
<v Speaker 1>legs are too thick, and you could see stuff hanging
<v Speaker 1>off of it. Well you know which was in the
<v Speaker 1>Bible's hair. It was all brown. It wasn't. It wasn't
<v Speaker 1>somebody who had on pants and you know, and a
<v Speaker 1>shirt that met it. They didn't have boots on. And
<v Speaker 1>then it was just looking at me, and I noticed
<v Speaker 1>it was fanning with its leg. It wasn't standing straight up.
<v Speaker 1>It was standing I know, the leg the knees of
<v Speaker 1>it were bent and you know, the arms along and
<v Speaker 1>and it looks you know, I guess where the hair
<v Speaker 1>was more like domeed, I guess, because you know how
<v Speaker 1>like the hair hangs off your neck like a person's net.
<v Speaker 1>And oh, and the neck that the head was this,
<v Speaker 1>I want to watch it grow across the road. The
<v Speaker 1>head was just set just like they were standing. The
<v Speaker 1>head was just set right up on top of the shoulders.
<v Speaker 1>You couldn't really see a net cursee. And then after
<v Speaker 1>it saw me, it just started walking across the grass
<v Speaker 1>strip on the right hand side, and I watched and
<v Speaker 1>it was it looked like it had flowed down and
<v Speaker 1>was deliberately taken flow steps. And I remembered at one point, look,
<v Speaker 1>I looked down and I saw as the foot, you
<v Speaker 1>know what, stepping and it looked like something like a
<v Speaker 1>foot like or something hanging off the end I got
<v Speaker 1>hair or whatever. Yeah, And it was walking across and
<v Speaker 1>then it was about ready to go in. And oh,
<v Speaker 1>I know also, I know when it was on the
<v Speaker 1>right hand side, I saw it back at some point.
<v Speaker 1>So I'm wondering if it was not I wonder iful
<v Speaker 1>it was going into a point of the woods where
<v Speaker 1>maybe there was a part of the woods sticking out,
<v Speaker 1>because I can't think of any reason why it's back
<v Speaker 1>would be to me at that point. But I did
<v Speaker 1>notice how wide the back was like no person would
<v Speaker 1>be that wide from you know, from that distance. And
<v Speaker 1>then it stopped and it kind of it stepped out,
<v Speaker 1>you know, spun around, so then it was facing me
<v Speaker 1>once again. As I was coming up, i'd gotten right
<v Speaker 1>at that a little bit past that bridge there with
<v Speaker 1>the dead trees and stuff, and it stopped and it
<v Speaker 1>was looking at me, and that's when I looked up
<v Speaker 1>and I looked at it. They of course I couldn't
<v Speaker 1>see details in the face, but that's when I was
<v Speaker 1>taking in the whole size of this thing, and you
<v Speaker 1>could see, like the must you know, the shoulders are
<v Speaker 1>really wide, and it looked like it looked like it
<v Speaker 1>was It looked more like it had more like a
<v Speaker 1>better better shape than like said a Patterson Gamblin film.
<v Speaker 1>It didn't have brust on it, but it had a big,
<v Speaker 1>wide chest. And I noticed there was a little strip
<v Speaker 1>of something, a strip of a darker color, up to
<v Speaker 1>the top of its chest. And I could tell that,
<v Speaker 1>you know, the head was the right round of the
<v Speaker 1>forehead would look like big, you know, like a brown ridge.
<v Speaker 1>And then when I looked in his eyes, that's when
<v Speaker 1>I that's when I remembered that oh my god, Like
<v Speaker 1>you know, I it had something to do with me
<v Speaker 1>going out in the woods playing my flute. And the
<v Speaker 1>funniest thing about it, I saw where it went in
<v Speaker 1>the woods, and I went up there because they had
<v Speaker 1>turned after it. The only stood looking at me too
<v Speaker 1>three seconds and they turned. It went into the woods,
<v Speaker 1>and I was going up there looking okay, went in
<v Speaker 1>right there, went in right there. But I didn't see anything.
<v Speaker 1>And I should also have mention that as I saw
<v Speaker 1>it go in the woods, I noticed I would filled
<v Speaker 1>down a little bit past the bridge. There were some blackbirds,
<v Speaker 1>like a group of blackbirds, and a circle on the
<v Speaker 1>left hands and the left lane moving around. As I
<v Speaker 1>drive drove past, they didn't fly away. Normally, if I
<v Speaker 1>see blackbirds in the road, they'll fly away as soon
<v Speaker 1>as my car gets you know. And there were three
<v Speaker 1>white or later found out they were I guess they're
<v Speaker 1>called egret kind of like I think were three of
<v Speaker 1>them in a triangle shape to the left side. Now
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what that means. But later on I
<v Speaker 1>found out about people talk about infrasound or something, and
<v Speaker 1>and people wondered me, how do I remember all these details?
<v Speaker 1>And like, because when I saw it, it felt like
<v Speaker 1>I was almost like, you know, I was mesmerized by
<v Speaker 1>the creek like everyone like a looked like I was hit,
<v Speaker 1>like in a trance or something. Because when I got
<v Speaker 1>to school, I was I was kind of a little
<v Speaker 1>bit of a shot. I stayed a shock. Then thinking
<v Speaker 1>about what I just saw, I was like, I can't
<v Speaker 1>believe that just happened like that. And you know, at
<v Speaker 1>first I was thinking, maybe you know, the big Foot came,
<v Speaker 1>you know, it actually worked, but and I didn't. I
<v Speaker 1>think I'm thinking that the big Foot might have that.
<v Speaker 1>I that it stopped to look at me twice maybe,
<v Speaker 1>But then I remember later in the day, Oh no,
<v Speaker 1>it stopped and it looked at me like I think
<v Speaker 1>it was like three times, because you know, when it
<v Speaker 1>got to the right hand side, then when it turned again,
<v Speaker 1>and then when it before it went into the wood.
<v Speaker 1>And but as it went on that day, you know,
<v Speaker 1>it came back to me. But yeah, and fence. Then
<v Speaker 1>every time I get in the car, I'm thinking, you know,
<v Speaker 1>am I going to see it again? It become I
<v Speaker 1>getting my call, am I going to see it again?
<v Speaker 1>But so far, you know, that hasn't happened. But that
<v Speaker 1>that's basically what had happened that day.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, you just kind of touched on it just now,
<v Speaker 2>and you mentioned it whenever you initially told me your story, Uh,
<v Speaker 2>you know through text about how it's almost like you
<v Speaker 2>went into that trance like state while it was happening,
<v Speaker 2>and then later on gradually the memories of the event
<v Speaker 2>started coming back to you.
<v Speaker 1>Well, most of the memories were in chact, but I
<v Speaker 1>think maybe the fact that it was like I just
<v Speaker 1>don't know. I just felt weird after after seeing it.
<v Speaker 1>But I think I knew I was thinking the big
<v Speaker 1>I knew that it turned and looked at me once,
<v Speaker 1>and I remember the part about it being by the woods,
<v Speaker 1>but I seem to have forgotten about when it when
<v Speaker 1>it the second time, when it turned around, I saw
<v Speaker 1>the whole body standing there. And also I don't have
<v Speaker 1>any way to tell how tall it was. But as
<v Speaker 1>I said, since I'm familiar with seeing people, you know,
<v Speaker 1>some every once in a while I'll see I will
<v Speaker 1>see people walking along the side of the road and
<v Speaker 1>such or standing and I know how tall a six
<v Speaker 1>foot person will be. But I think it was easy.
<v Speaker 1>I could think you could easily see something that was
<v Speaker 1>seven feet tall and not be able to tell if
<v Speaker 1>it was that much taller. But what struck me about
<v Speaker 1>this was that more about the size of it the
<v Speaker 1>thickness rather than the height. So the chest was much
<v Speaker 1>thicker than a person, and it was all, you know,
<v Speaker 1>all brown and blonde, and I could see stuff hanging
<v Speaker 1>off its back, like the hair was hanging on, and
<v Speaker 1>some of it was m maybe like almost like a rope,
<v Speaker 1>meaning you know, like maybe the hair was stepped together.
<v Speaker 1>And I knew I knew when it was standing the
<v Speaker 1>knees were bent. So I was thinking about it, and
<v Speaker 1>I was like, well, if I stand with my knees bent,
<v Speaker 1>I'm only like five five nine, and that makes me shorter.
<v Speaker 1>So I knew that whatever, you know, this thing still
<v Speaker 1>looked big. I'd worked out if I look at my
<v Speaker 1>house and my ceiling, knowing that's eight feet, I knew
<v Speaker 1>it wasn't like a whole foot or two bigger than
<v Speaker 1>the ceiling, and the way if it was only seven
<v Speaker 1>feet still and the thickness of it, I think seven
<v Speaker 1>feet would probably be a little short. So I think
<v Speaker 1>what I saw, I can make an estimated guess. I
<v Speaker 1>would say it was probably maybe anywhere from seven and
<v Speaker 1>a half then I would say, no more than eight
<v Speaker 1>feet my guess.
<v Speaker 2>I mean that's still really big.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, you also.
<v Speaker 2>Mentioned the birds. I think that's important because whenever I
<v Speaker 2>talked to people that experience things, you know, it's those
<v Speaker 2>little details that kind of stick to me, because the
<v Speaker 2>birds stick out to you specifically, And I think that
<v Speaker 2>if it wasn't anything to it, if it was just
<v Speaker 2>some birds in the road or whatever, I don't know
<v Speaker 2>why you would hold onto that and it would mean
<v Speaker 2>something to you, you know what I'm.
<v Speaker 1>Saying, right, because I mean I've seen like one turkey
<v Speaker 1>run across the road before. I've seen blackbirds in the
<v Speaker 1>road before, and they all flew away. But on that day,
<v Speaker 1>the fact that you know, there were there are three
<v Speaker 1>of those white egrets down in the swamp that I saw,
<v Speaker 1>and then the whole circle of those black I don't
<v Speaker 1>know if there were blackbirds, but there were black colored
<v Speaker 1>birds and they just were walking, you know, either still
<v Speaker 1>or this kind of and you know, kind of in
<v Speaker 1>a circle, not move the much and didn't fly away
<v Speaker 1>even when I drove past them. It stood out to me.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, And this was in the same spot that the
<v Speaker 2>bigfoot crossed the road.
<v Speaker 1>No, okay, you know the birds were down, I would say,
<v Speaker 1>when I crossed the road, and when I saw it
<v Speaker 1>over to the right, when it was looking at me,
<v Speaker 1>and it went right into the woods, and then that's
<v Speaker 1>when I noticed the birds. So the bigfoot had already
<v Speaker 1>gone into woods, you know, at that point.
<v Speaker 2>But you didn't see the birds like fly down onto
<v Speaker 2>the road or anything like that.
<v Speaker 1>I don't now thinking about it, I don't even think
<v Speaker 1>I don't even think I noticed them. I didn't even Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I didn't even notice them. If they were there, I'm
<v Speaker 1>assuming were there. I didn't even notice it until the
<v Speaker 1>big clot was gone. Then I looked then in my left,
<v Speaker 1>and that's when I noticed the birds, you know, for
<v Speaker 1>the first time.
<v Speaker 2>Right then, So after having gone out into the woods
<v Speaker 2>and uh, you know, looking and taking the flute and
<v Speaker 2>all that, and then having the experience where you felt
<v Speaker 2>like something was watching you but you never saw anything,
<v Speaker 2>and then a week later this happens, or however much
<v Speaker 2>time passed a short amount of time for sure, right,
<v Speaker 2>what do you think? Do you think this was coincidence
<v Speaker 2>or do you think there's something more to it?
<v Speaker 1>So at first I was at the moment when I
<v Speaker 1>looked into the thing's eyes, we locked eyes. That's when
<v Speaker 1>it That's when it came back to me, and I
<v Speaker 1>was thinking, you know, oh my gosh. You know, it
<v Speaker 1>was more like I was thinking this may here, like
<v Speaker 1>maybe it's thanking me or something. But then as rationality
<v Speaker 1>or seeming rational as my as I was consciously thinking
<v Speaker 1>about it, I'm like, maybe maybe there's a maybe maybe
<v Speaker 1>the Bigfoot just happened to be there on that day,
<v Speaker 1>you know, So I kind of moved away from that.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't I didn't say that the Bigfoot wasn't there
<v Speaker 1>to communicate with me. But one thing about the experience
<v Speaker 1>when I thought about it, it's mouth opened, you know
<v Speaker 1>when it saw me, which would to me indicate surprise
<v Speaker 1>that you know, that it didn't know I was gonna
<v Speaker 1>be there. And that's that's, you know, I kind of
<v Speaker 1>rationalized with my conscious mind, I said, well maybe, but
<v Speaker 1>maybe it is. I just don't know. But I will
<v Speaker 1>say also that these little synchronicities or things that are coincidences,
<v Speaker 1>which probably may not be, they happened to me a
<v Speaker 1>lot in my life, like some things I don't expect,
<v Speaker 1>and all of a sudden it happens, So I even wondered. Also,
<v Speaker 1>I was wondering because I've had like some kind of
<v Speaker 1>psychic like premonitions before, so I was wondering. Okay, maybe
<v Speaker 1>maybe a part of me was knowing that the big
<v Speaker 1>Foot was gonna happen. So maybe that's why the thought
<v Speaker 1>of Bigfoot entered my mind ahead of time, and I
<v Speaker 1>was just gonna, you know, go out in the park.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe that's why I thought about it and figured i'd
<v Speaker 1>go out in the park. So maybe it didn't have
<v Speaker 1>anything to do with that. It was just you know, coincidence.
<v Speaker 1>Thought I was going to fee the big Foot anyway.
<v Speaker 1>But later on, I've had some other in I would say,
<v Speaker 1>encounters later on, and then I kind of got to
<v Speaker 1>rethinking that maybe it was probably maybe the big Foot,
<v Speaker 1>because I just don't I just don't see any other way.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, why would I see the Bigfoot right there?
<v Speaker 1>I know there have been fightings over in that way.
<v Speaker 1>I've only heard about maybe two or about three in
<v Speaker 1>that area, But most of the fightings that I know
<v Speaker 1>about over like in the I think are kind of
<v Speaker 1>in the western part of the county. But yeah, I've
<v Speaker 1>come back around to think and now that I'm more
<v Speaker 1>certain that the Bigfoot probably when I saw it when
<v Speaker 1>I during my fighting, I think it looked like it
<v Speaker 1>knew or it was very curious about me, and like
<v Speaker 1>I just felt like it was there, you know, because
<v Speaker 1>it recognized me. If that sounds strange, but.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean this whole thing is strange. You know,
<v Speaker 2>there's no way to look into the Bigfoot subject and
<v Speaker 2>not eventually reached the point where you find out things
<v Speaker 2>are strange. They don't happen like they normally should. Did
<v Speaker 2>you tell anybody about your sighting that day? Or when
<v Speaker 2>was it whenever you finally told someone?
<v Speaker 1>Well, I told, you know, I think, well, I told
<v Speaker 1>somebody it's you know that threw walk like you know
<v Speaker 1>what I think maybe you'd be you know, because people
<v Speaker 1>of people, how I know a little bit more well,
<v Speaker 1>you know, and people my friends, you know, they know
<v Speaker 1>they know about it, you know, most people, you know,
<v Speaker 1>I get to open minded. But over the years, the
<v Speaker 1>music and see the museum played a big part in
<v Speaker 1>me finding out about all this stuff. Then I found
<v Speaker 1>out about other people, and then I've gone in the
<v Speaker 1>woods with them and I but after my fighting, I
<v Speaker 1>went back in the woods, and I think there was
<v Speaker 1>about I think it happened maybe on two or three
<v Speaker 1>occasions that I was in the woods, you know, and
<v Speaker 1>I didn't see anybody else around, and that's when the
<v Speaker 1>thought occurred to me. You know, I'm thinking in my mind,
<v Speaker 1>oh my god, you know, I know what I saw
<v Speaker 1>out on the road, and I'm sure glad that I
<v Speaker 1>saw it out on the road when I was in
<v Speaker 1>my car. What if and I was like down in
<v Speaker 1>the woods a little bit of ways, I was thinking,
<v Speaker 1>what if I see that out here in the woods
<v Speaker 1>and no one's around, how would I act? So that's
<v Speaker 1>when I stopped and I turned around and I walked
<v Speaker 1>back out. I couldn't know, but I'm into the woods
<v Speaker 1>just a little bit. And then I tried. I think
<v Speaker 1>it happened maybe two or three times where I'd walk
<v Speaker 1>halfway down the trail, but I couldn't go any furre
<v Speaker 1>that because the thought would come back to me, what, yes,
<v Speaker 1>it was out here and nobody, you know, what would happen?
<v Speaker 1>So I went back. But after that, I got it.
<v Speaker 1>I got over it after that, and I hadn't had
<v Speaker 1>any problem going back into the woods by myself, you know,
<v Speaker 1>if no one's around. That happened, you know, many times,
<v Speaker 1>but it was only like the first couple of months
<v Speaker 1>or so after the sighting that I felt, you know,
<v Speaker 1>like that and.
<v Speaker 2>How far away was the road crossing from where you
<v Speaker 2>went in and played the flute and all that.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, oh okay, yeah, because that was another thing. I
<v Speaker 1>was like, well, I didn't see that meat Out, but
<v Speaker 1>I saw it. Let's see. So I think if if
<v Speaker 1>you're driving down country roads, because I don't, I don't
<v Speaker 1>drive from that direction to meat Out, I kind of
<v Speaker 1>go around another way. I would say, it's no more
<v Speaker 1>than probably thirty minutes, but it's still in that county,
<v Speaker 1>but it's more where my sighting was was more to
<v Speaker 1>the eastern part of the county, and where Meatoc is
<v Speaker 1>it's almost like it's on the western side of the county.
<v Speaker 1>But yeah, but the thirty minutes, it's a really big county.
<v Speaker 1>It's like, I don't know, that's probably one of the
<v Speaker 1>biggest counties in North Carolina because I can drive for
<v Speaker 1>like an hour and still be in that county.
<v Speaker 2>You said it happened at an area where there's water
<v Speaker 2>and like a bridge and everything. Does that water connect
<v Speaker 2>to the park or anything.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think that creek does. But the creek is
<v Speaker 1>called Fishing Creek, and I know it's called Fishing Creek.
<v Speaker 1>But some parts of it it's really big. It's more
<v Speaker 1>like almost like a river, but it's called but there is.
<v Speaker 1>It's where I live in Halifax County. It's called Roanoke.
<v Speaker 1>It's the city of Roanoke Rapid. So the river that
<v Speaker 1>comes from, like I guess it goes through Roanoke, Virginia too.
<v Speaker 1>That river comes through here. So when I look on
<v Speaker 1>the overhead like the you know, the map or whatever
<v Speaker 1>satellite I saw back, you know that creek goes back.
<v Speaker 1>I think it goes back. There's a river that runs
<v Speaker 1>like Carolela, you know, a river on this probable how
<v Speaker 1>far it's back from where my fighting must probably no
<v Speaker 1>more than about five six seven miles probably, I guess.
<v Speaker 2>So in theory it could you know, follow the waterways through.
<v Speaker 1>There, yes, probably. And and before I had my sighting,
<v Speaker 1>I also knew I think over I think it was
<v Speaker 1>a couple of months before I had my sighting, right,
<v Speaker 1>it was in the actual town. So it's probably like
<v Speaker 1>probably about fifteen minutes from where my sighting was. I
<v Speaker 1>know another lady had seen some little small one down
<v Speaker 1>by another creek, and people had gotten the people from
<v Speaker 1>museum had gotten some track cast from that, and and
<v Speaker 1>they were telling me about somebody over and where I'm
<v Speaker 1>near my sighting. I don't know exactly where it was,
<v Speaker 1>but somebody in a tree stand had seen one, and
<v Speaker 1>then I knew, let's just say maybe within the last year,
<v Speaker 1>I found out from somebody else because they were somebody
<v Speaker 1>else to go to the park with. They were asking
<v Speaker 1>me about where did you Where'd you say that you
<v Speaker 1>saw that big footed? And I told them, you know,
<v Speaker 1>it's by that I told him where it was, So
<v Speaker 1>I think they were they were probably asking because I
<v Speaker 1>think that there was another sighting and it was somewhere
<v Speaker 1>over in that area where they got something. I think
<v Speaker 1>somebody had gotten I saw on another program. They'd gotten
<v Speaker 1>it on a like a head or something on a
<v Speaker 1>game cam on a but it was it was over
<v Speaker 1>near that, somewhere around that area where I've had my
<v Speaker 1>fighting are h. When I first started hearing about the
<v Speaker 1>big foots around here, most of the things were that
<v Speaker 1>I heard about there were black. That's the basic color
<v Speaker 1>that I think most people see. Some kind of black.
<v Speaker 1>But when I saw the one I saw it was
<v Speaker 1>a lighter color. It was like, you know, a brown,
<v Speaker 1>different shades of brown. And it had some blonde because
<v Speaker 1>I remember it had blonde hair some on its on
<v Speaker 1>its right shoulder and something on its head. And oh,
<v Speaker 1>I forgot to mention. But also when it was on
<v Speaker 1>the right side of the road, it walked through a
<v Speaker 1>beam of sunlight and I could see, you know, the
<v Speaker 1>hair or whatever on its on its back. It looked
<v Speaker 1>kind of shimmered, you know, shimmered in the light, like
<v Speaker 1>its like oil in it or something. But but yeah,
<v Speaker 1>and but I have heard because I knew someone else
<v Speaker 1>when they saw one, they said it was that the
<v Speaker 1>you know, same kind of color. And then I'd heard
<v Speaker 1>a couple of other things about that color. But yeah,
<v Speaker 1>but I was the first one that I first time
<v Speaker 1>when I saw that, I'd never heard of a lighter colored,
<v Speaker 1>big full around here. But some other people, I think
<v Speaker 1>have seen something like that too.
<v Speaker 2>And you said that you've had a few other encounters
<v Speaker 2>or run ins with something. What was that.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, So so when I go into the woods, I
<v Speaker 1>try to I've learned, you know, I try to be
<v Speaker 1>kind of objective, So there was. So I'm only going
<v Speaker 1>to include the ones that I think it was really weird.
<v Speaker 1>You know, I can't prove anything one because I didn't
<v Speaker 1>see anything in most of these cases. So there was
<v Speaker 1>a time, I don't know when, it was, maybe a year,
<v Speaker 1>a couple of years after I was playing a flute
<v Speaker 1>in the woods. It was a smaller one and I
<v Speaker 1>didn't hear anything or anything. I only saw some people
<v Speaker 1>who went in the woods, like right ahead of me,
<v Speaker 1>and but I didn't see anybody when I was in
<v Speaker 1>there and I was playing the thongs. And then I
<v Speaker 1>should I point this out because the fleet, I think
<v Speaker 1>it had gotten some some spit or something in it,
<v Speaker 1>and so it wasn't sounding right. So I had to
<v Speaker 1>blow in it to get the saliva out of it.
<v Speaker 1>I was. I was like, and it was like made
<v Speaker 1>this awful saying like it. Long after that I heard
<v Speaker 1>some it was like crackle, crackle, crackle, And I was like,
<v Speaker 1>At first I was saying, what is that something coming?
<v Speaker 1>A raccoon coming down the tree. Then I realized what
<v Speaker 1>I was hearing was the bark cracking. It was like
<v Speaker 1>and it was like boom, and this big tree I
<v Speaker 1>didn't see the tree, but it was sounded like it
<v Speaker 1>was right there. I got scared, so I threw it
<v Speaker 1>in the backpack and put my backpack on and I
<v Speaker 1>started like kind of power walking up the off the
<v Speaker 1>path and probably I would say after and then I
<v Speaker 1>started thinking, oh, you know what, a tree is going
<v Speaker 1>to fall in the woods sometime. So I'd probably walked
<v Speaker 1>for thirty forty seconds. So I stopped, and I was
<v Speaker 1>about ready to go back into woods, and then then
<v Speaker 1>I hear again off to my right, you know, on
<v Speaker 1>the same side where this was, but it just up
<v Speaker 1>closer to me. I heard another one go crack crack,
<v Speaker 1>crack boom, but this one's sounded like more of a
<v Speaker 1>smaller tree. But it was like, okay, okay, the two.
<v Speaker 1>How is it possible two trees will fall on that
<v Speaker 1>amount of time? So then I just went out of
<v Speaker 1>the park and I still played some fleet songs near
<v Speaker 1>the woods, but then I couldn't go back into the
<v Speaker 1>woods at that But the source, I mean, it could
<v Speaker 1>have been. I guess it could have been two trees falling.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't see anything, and then I think it was
<v Speaker 1>about I think it was I remember because I thought
<v Speaker 1>of it in my mind before. I remember about two
<v Speaker 1>years and three months after my fighting, I went into
<v Speaker 1>the woods one night. It was on the day before
<v Speaker 1>Veteran Day, because Veteran on a Monday, so it was
<v Speaker 1>November the camp on a Sunday, and I sat at
<v Speaker 1>this bench and I was just playing some thongs, playing
<v Speaker 1>some thongs. I wonder if something's gonna happen. I was
<v Speaker 1>out there probably forty five minutes, didn't hear a thing
<v Speaker 1>out ready to go, and then I all of a sudden,
<v Speaker 1>I heard, you know, you hear something across the creek,
<v Speaker 1>but you know, you hear rustling, and it sounded like
<v Speaker 1>whatever it was, it was too of them, because it
<v Speaker 1>was like, then I hear something on the other side,
<v Speaker 1>a little bit further off on in the bushes. And
<v Speaker 1>then and then I heard then I heard something to
<v Speaker 1>my right. It was sounded like it was running in
<v Speaker 1>the woods. Then I turned to look, but I didn't
<v Speaker 1>see anything. And keep in mind, at this point, it's
<v Speaker 1>it's in November, so I think I don't. I think
<v Speaker 1>it was around five or something it was. I think
<v Speaker 1>it was still light, but in the woods it gets
<v Speaker 1>darker quicker. So uh, and when after I heard that.
<v Speaker 1>I kind of looked. I looked up with there's this tree.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know, it's probably it's kind of a fig tree,
<v Speaker 1>is probably seventy feet away, and it looked like I saw,
<v Speaker 1>you know, I saw something like it was black, but
<v Speaker 1>something black, and it was on the from my perspective,
<v Speaker 1>on the left side of the tree. And it's only
<v Speaker 1>but it's only like three or four feet high, and
<v Speaker 1>so it scares me all of a sudden's no one
<v Speaker 1>around the top. Put my believe in the backpack and
<v Speaker 1>I put my backpack on. I started walking and I'm
<v Speaker 1>kind of looking out the corner of my eye, and
<v Speaker 1>as they get up, I get up afar and now
<v Speaker 1>so I can look that I can see behind that tree,
<v Speaker 1>but I don't see anything, you know, and I don't
<v Speaker 1>hear anything run away. And then as I'm almost out
<v Speaker 1>of the wood, I hear something in my left and I,
<v Speaker 1>you know, rustling. Then I stopped. Of course it stops too,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm walking. It's like, and I hear rustling. Then
<v Speaker 1>it stopped when I stopped. And then but you know,
<v Speaker 1>I went back. I went back because I only saw
<v Speaker 1>this the something that was black. I went back another
<v Speaker 1>day and looked to make sure, like, you know, was
<v Speaker 1>it just a you know, I I did hear something,
<v Speaker 1>but I couldn't tell if I really thought them I
<v Speaker 1>thought I did. I went back and looked to see
<v Speaker 1>if it was like something black, like a rock, big
<v Speaker 1>rock or a stick that I might have seen when
<v Speaker 1>I went back later. But I didn't see anything that
<v Speaker 1>I couldn't mistake it, you know, So I'm thinking that
<v Speaker 1>something was there, but you know, I never heard it run.
<v Speaker 1>I never heard it run away or anything. But that's
<v Speaker 1>what was weird about it. And then I think it
<v Speaker 1>was the same year, but it was at the end
<v Speaker 1>of February, because there was a guy walk working at
<v Speaker 1>the park as a volunteer, and he had been out
<v Speaker 1>in the woods, you know, looking for bigfoot. I think
<v Speaker 1>he had found some tracks and he was telling me that, okay,
<v Speaker 1>if you go down, you know, a certain area he
<v Speaker 1>said he had found, tell me about some think the
<v Speaker 1>six teen inch tracks. But these, most of the tracks
<v Speaker 1>found around here, and most of the prince I've seen
<v Speaker 1>have five toes on them. But of course I saw
<v Speaker 1>at the museum where they had they had some tracks
<v Speaker 1>that it looked like three well, it looked like they
<v Speaker 1>had three toes, like like what in these TCKs we
<v Speaker 1>have like clogs. You could see where in the impression
<v Speaker 1>where it goes down into the ground, and there might
<v Speaker 1>have been like a little fourth It looked like almost
<v Speaker 1>like a fourth toe out on the right of the foot.
<v Speaker 1>But so this guy told me here there was three
<v Speaker 1>code tracks, so he come to war if I said,
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna go down there. When I went there, I
<v Speaker 1>noticed there were two cars there in the parking lot,
<v Speaker 1>and I walked on down the trail. I didn't see
<v Speaker 1>anybody when I was there, but I went down to
<v Speaker 1>the bluff and I started playing my flute and only
<v Speaker 1>took like a minute or two, and then I hear
<v Speaker 1>at the top of the bluff something. You could hear
<v Speaker 1>the brush move and like, and I knew it wasn't
<v Speaker 1>just a squirrel. Squirrels canna be loud, but they're more
<v Speaker 1>like a scampering whereas this found is something like big,
<v Speaker 1>like a bear or maybe a deer or something. But
<v Speaker 1>you could hear the brush moving and it was and
<v Speaker 1>most of that stuff you would think would run away
<v Speaker 1>if it heard noise. But I started playing some more
<v Speaker 1>songs and I hear it moving, and I started getting scared,
<v Speaker 1>so I put the fleet in my backpack and I
<v Speaker 1>put it on and I started walking back to the bridge.
<v Speaker 1>I might have gone sixty feet, but all of a sudden,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if it was me or what, but
<v Speaker 1>a calm came over me. And even though I was
<v Speaker 1>scared of like a minute before, I turned right back around,
<v Speaker 1>walked back, took the flute right back and fed in
<v Speaker 1>the same spot and started playing again. And then I
<v Speaker 1>hear it. I couldn't really hear the stink footsteps like
<v Speaker 1>dump dump, but I could hear the brush move. And
<v Speaker 1>I thought about it after the fact and thought, maybe, well,
<v Speaker 1>maybe it was something so wide, you know, because it
<v Speaker 1>looks like their brush up there was really close together.
<v Speaker 1>It was something moving through it, you know, it says stick,
<v Speaker 1>but it sounded like it was something big, you know.
<v Speaker 1>I looked around, went up the trail and looked, and
<v Speaker 1>I couldn't see anything. I said, man, that's gotta be
<v Speaker 1>a bigfoot. But I never saw anything, so I didn't know.
<v Speaker 1>But the next day I found out that the guy
<v Speaker 1>who told me, you know where to go, he had
<v Speaker 1>and I asked him about it. He was telling me
<v Speaker 1>it was about So I'm thinking the time frame was
<v Speaker 1>about twenty to thirty minutes after I left, is when
<v Speaker 1>that person went down there, and that's when and they heard.
<v Speaker 1>They told me the same thing. They heard the rustling,
<v Speaker 1>and then they they actually thought it that was their
<v Speaker 1>first sighting. So I knew by do by them telling me. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>I knew I was right. I knew that was a
<v Speaker 1>big foot. And I knew how that brush sounded when
<v Speaker 1>it was going like it sounded like almost like a
<v Speaker 1>sliding or something like that. I guess it was just
<v Speaker 1>moving through the thick brush. So I knew whenever I
<v Speaker 1>hear that in the future, okay, that's probably a big foot.
<v Speaker 1>So that was at about the end of February. And
<v Speaker 1>then I have been in the park before. A lot
<v Speaker 1>of people here would not, but I don't really you know,
<v Speaker 1>I don't really hear that. But I've had a rock
<v Speaker 1>thrown one time. It came from across the creek, and
<v Speaker 1>I knew it wasn't just about acorn, because it was
<v Speaker 1>probably like about a two inch by two inch rock,
<v Speaker 1>but it went because it knocked the you know, the trees,
<v Speaker 1>the leaves on the tree, and it landed it like
<v Speaker 1>it was like this island of rush. I wasn't gonna
<v Speaker 1>go in there and look to see the rock. It
<v Speaker 1>might get a snake in there or something like. And
<v Speaker 1>the and then the only other time, I don't know
<v Speaker 1>how long it's been a few years now, I knew
<v Speaker 1>about some people had seen a bigfoot on the road there,
<v Speaker 1>like I think it was black and gray or something.
<v Speaker 1>So after that, some people went up there and I
<v Speaker 1>found out that a lot of people had been one
<v Speaker 1>by think through like a thumore or something. So I
<v Speaker 1>went down to the same spot where the other guy
<v Speaker 1>where I heard that rustling it was. It was an act.
<v Speaker 1>It was not long, probably within a week of where
<v Speaker 1>the where the other sighting was. And I was playing
<v Speaker 1>my flute at the cliff and a rock landed in
<v Speaker 1>the creek behind me, so I turned around and then
<v Speaker 1>I think they were like I counted five rock runs
<v Speaker 1>into the creek and I was just playing, you know,
<v Speaker 1>looking around. Then I heard the thalt found like it
<v Speaker 1>didn't sound like a tree break, and I don't know
<v Speaker 1>what it was as a big thalt sound. And then
<v Speaker 1>I didn't hear anything, so I think it was the
<v Speaker 1>exact same week after, I came back right up to
<v Speaker 1>the creek and I brought my I got a gym
<v Speaker 1>d drum. I said, I'm gonna take my DRUMA It
<v Speaker 1>was the first time taking the drum out. I played
<v Speaker 1>the drum that same type of fun, and I could
<v Speaker 1>hear some sticks cracking and stuff. And as I was
<v Speaker 1>playing it, I didn't see anything. I tried. I did
<v Speaker 1>not see a thing. All I could see I heard
<v Speaker 1>stuff rummaging around. So I came back about a week
<v Speaker 1>maybe a week after that, and I think I had
<v Speaker 1>my drum with me too, and I set it out
<v Speaker 1>there by the creek and I was slaying my flute,
<v Speaker 1>and I did I did think to turn my phone
<v Speaker 1>on that time when that when the cracking started up,
<v Speaker 1>because a rock came down. I could hear it coming
<v Speaker 1>to the top of the branches and it landed about
<v Speaker 1>twenty feet from me. And then I could hear the
<v Speaker 1>moving like, and I was looking around. I was playing
<v Speaker 1>some flute. Then I would hear I would hear move
<v Speaker 1>a little bit. I was looking around. I could not
<v Speaker 1>see it. And then I did hear A would not
<v Speaker 1>like and I could hear this thing whatever it was
<v Speaker 1>moving around and then I heard something like, you know
<v Speaker 1>how if you pick your finger in your mouth and
<v Speaker 1>do a cheek pop like you go, I can't go.
<v Speaker 1>That's and I heard that, and then it probably I
<v Speaker 1>was literally there. Probably maybe it stayed I'm saying ten minutes. Oh,
<v Speaker 1>and I didn't mention it. On the first time, I
<v Speaker 1>think it sounded like it was two whatever it was,
<v Speaker 1>because I here's some sounds in one direction, and then
<v Speaker 1>it was on the same side of the creek, on
<v Speaker 1>the opposite side of the creek from me, but it's
<v Speaker 1>kind of like two. On the third time, it sounded
<v Speaker 1>like maybe just one thing. And and I didn't know
<v Speaker 1>that a rock was thrown that time, and I didn't
<v Speaker 1>there were no people. Most people don't go another like
<v Speaker 1>you know, I would. I think I would have seen
<v Speaker 1>it if it was a person, but but yeah, and
<v Speaker 1>I never could see it. But yeah, those are some
<v Speaker 1>of the probably the other encounters which only in one
<v Speaker 1>instance was it verified by uh, someone seeing it after I,
<v Speaker 1>you know, I had left that it was a bigfoot.
<v Speaker 1>But there's a Those are pretty much my other encounters.
<v Speaker 2>Now, are you still going out there and playing the
<v Speaker 2>flute and the drum and all.
<v Speaker 1>That, yes, probably more so the flute, because if I
<v Speaker 1>take the drums kind of heavy, they want drums kind
<v Speaker 1>of a little bit heavy. But I haven't been back
<v Speaker 1>as much this year. I went back, I'm thinking about
<v Speaker 1>a month ago, and you know, I didn't I didn't
<v Speaker 1>hear or see anything out of the ordinary when I went.
<v Speaker 1>But now in the summer I'm gonna I'll probably go
<v Speaker 1>back out and I have. I have been out like
<v Speaker 1>because at the park it closes, like in the summer,
<v Speaker 1>it closes I think at nine. But I've been out
<v Speaker 1>there at night because if you get a camping spot,
<v Speaker 1>you know, if you if you pay for a camping spot,
<v Speaker 1>you can go out at night. And I went out.
<v Speaker 1>I don't you know, don't go by myself, but we
<v Speaker 1>rented like our camping spot on several occasions. And some
<v Speaker 1>of the other people that I've had that I know
<v Speaker 1>of who have fightings, we go out on the trail,
<v Speaker 1>you know, and so we hear, you know, they hear
<v Speaker 1>wood knocks and stuff. But I haven't seen anything at
<v Speaker 1>night myself, and I have since then. I've gotten U
<v Speaker 1>and name escapes me. It's like a bonic little dish
<v Speaker 1>thing that you can hear, I can hear far and
<v Speaker 1>I also invested in a thermal scope, and most of
<v Speaker 1>the people who go out there they have a thermal
<v Speaker 1>Now I forgot to mention. I said, when I heard
<v Speaker 1>the thing down by the creek, I had my phone
<v Speaker 1>on so I could record it. But when I went
<v Speaker 1>back and listened to it, that's when I came to
<v Speaker 1>the realization. But that I think a phone audio is
<v Speaker 1>probably more designed for talking with someone close up. Because
<v Speaker 1>I wasn't here anything, it would not capture the sound
<v Speaker 1>on the other side of the creek, except where it
<v Speaker 1>got really loud, where the stick started cracking. I might
<v Speaker 1>have got four or five seconds. But that's when I
<v Speaker 1>realized that the phone audio doesn't do a good job
<v Speaker 1>of recording from a distance like that. And then when
<v Speaker 1>I talked to another person that I know who where
<v Speaker 1>they had had a sighting out under the thermal, they
<v Speaker 1>were asking me. They were saying, so, where did you
<v Speaker 1>hear all that crunching stuff, you know when you were
<v Speaker 1>playing your flute. And I told them where it was,
<v Speaker 1>and they were telling me that that's the same place.
<v Speaker 1>So that's another verification. I was like, oh my gosh,
<v Speaker 1>that's where they had I think had seen something under
<v Speaker 1>a thermal. It was in the same spot where I
<v Speaker 1>had that thing where I heard it moving around and
<v Speaker 1>it threw the rock and when I was playing the flute.
<v Speaker 2>So are you trying to have another sighting with all this?
<v Speaker 2>Is that your main goal?
<v Speaker 1>Yes, I just want to go back, and you know
<v Speaker 1>I do have the desire even you know, even if
<v Speaker 1>I don't see it again, I still want to go
<v Speaker 1>out and what's playing the flute? Because I'm thinking maybe
<v Speaker 1>maybe that's why I had that first sighting. Maybe it
<v Speaker 1>it's it's because it seemed like it was really really
<v Speaker 1>curious about me when I watched it go across. And
<v Speaker 1>so yes, even if I don't see another one, just
<v Speaker 1>the fact that me going out in the woods and
<v Speaker 1>playing a flute may make this thing or things happy,
<v Speaker 1>that's that's a charge in it in it of itself
<v Speaker 1>to me, because I had seen something after the fact, saying,
<v Speaker 1>like some for some other researchers, I had seen another
<v Speaker 1>thing on YouTube where God was I looked it up.
<v Speaker 1>I was like a guy playing a flute and I've
<v Speaker 1>heard a thing about a person playing a guitar, and
<v Speaker 1>they that's that the charge knowing that something might be
<v Speaker 1>looking after as I'm I mean, like, while I'm playing
<v Speaker 1>out there, it seems exhilarating in a charge in in
<v Speaker 1>and of itself, even if I don't see another one.
<v Speaker 1>But I kind of, you know, there's a part of
<v Speaker 1>me that said, you know, I want to see it again.
<v Speaker 1>But there's another part of me when I'm in that woods,
<v Speaker 1>I was like, do I really big question? Do I really?
<v Speaker 1>I don't know how I would react if I did
<v Speaker 1>see it that close, you know, with no one around
<v Speaker 1>out in the woods.
<v Speaker 2>Like well, Kel, I appreciate you coming on here and
<v Speaker 2>sharing your story and some of the details behind it.
<v Speaker 2>It's a really good sighting. You're very fortunate, you know,
<v Speaker 2>especially to have a sighting like that. I know exactly
<v Speaker 2>what you're talking about. I think it's an entirely different
<v Speaker 2>situation whenever you're in your car and you see one
<v Speaker 2>cross the road like that, compared to if you're out
<v Speaker 2>in the woods by yourself and you just bump into
<v Speaker 2>one of these things. But yeah, man, keep in touch
<v Speaker 2>and keep me up to date on what's going on.
<v Speaker 1>And just curiosity. I think I didn't even know you
<v Speaker 1>said you had used a fleet before.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, a long time ago. I mean I haven't
<v Speaker 2>gone out into the woods looking for these things and
<v Speaker 2>years and years, but yeah, we've Whenever I say we,
<v Speaker 2>myself and the group of people that I used to
<v Speaker 2>you know, associate with and go out with, we we've
<v Speaker 2>gone out there and played flutes before. Not together or anything,
<v Speaker 2>but just you know, individually, I've gone out there and
<v Speaker 2>played a flute before. A friend of mine, Dan, he's
<v Speaker 2>played the drums. He made like his own drum out
<v Speaker 2>of rawhide and stuff, and I know he's played the drums,
<v Speaker 2>and you know, there's just I don't know how to
<v Speaker 2>explain it. I'm not Native American, but there's something about
<v Speaker 2>just the sound of that flute or the sound of
<v Speaker 2>the drums or something out in nature like that. There's
<v Speaker 2>something to it. It's almost magical. And even though it
<v Speaker 2>didn't if there was a bigfoot around observing us, I
<v Speaker 2>wasn't aware of it. You know, I can't say that
<v Speaker 2>it worked necessarily, but it's still worth doing. And to me,
<v Speaker 2>it sounds like you're definitely getting attention by doing it.
<v Speaker 2>I do think that if they are paying attention, that
<v Speaker 2>they do enjoy it. I think maybe it's something that
<v Speaker 2>they recognize from their past even But yeah, I would
<v Speaker 2>say from what you've said that they're there, they're paying
<v Speaker 2>attention to it, and they're probably associating it with you directly.
<v Speaker 2>They know that you're the guy that comes out there
<v Speaker 2>and plays the flute, and uh, I think if you
<v Speaker 2>keep doing it, you're gonna have a really special encounter.
