<v Speaker 1>You got to get there. It's the internet. You're busy. <v Speaker 2>Let's do this for February seventh, twenty twenty five. For <v Speaker 2>the next hour or so, let me help you sort <v Speaker 2>through the world of gaming on Game Mess Mornings Live <v Speaker 2>with me Jeff Grubb. Today, Grand Theft Auto six is <v Speaker 2>still coming out this year, rock Steady is back working <v Speaker 2>on single player Batman and the Wonder Woman game is <v Speaker 2>in turmoil. But first please join me and welcoming today's <v Speaker 2>co host a Game Mess Mornings. <v Speaker 1>It's tomorrow. Who's saying, everybody, Tam, how are you doing? <v Speaker 3>Man? Yeah? <v Speaker 1>There he is. He's a bat you're wearing You're wearing <v Speaker 1>a gain garment. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I'm wearing again garment. I've been wearing this a lot, <v Speaker 3>to the point where I definitely should have watched it <v Speaker 3>at least two days ago. Still wearing it. But like <v Speaker 3>I I'm just like two comfy. It's too cold. I <v Speaker 3>don't smell. I very rare. I sweat a lot, but <v Speaker 3>my sweat doesn't smell, which is very weird. <v Speaker 2>I don't know if that's I've never I've never never <v Speaker 2>been my around Tim thought this man smells in any <v Speaker 2>negative way. <v Speaker 3>So yeah, I don't know. <v Speaker 2>Sounds like a crazy person, but it's been true. It's <v Speaker 2>always been true. <v Speaker 3>I don't know. I don't know how I've got away <v Speaker 3>with this, but people have told me this, Like I've <v Speaker 3>come back from the gym sweating and They're like, how <v Speaker 3>are you not stinky? And I have no idea, Man, <v Speaker 3>I don't know. So I'm I'm comfortable with wearing this <v Speaker 3>for I know at least six days. <v Speaker 2>I mean there's and there's like a chart, right, and <v Speaker 2>it's the more comfortable the garment, the less frequently you <v Speaker 2>need to wash it come on like. <v Speaker 3>I did wash So this is always supposed to be oversized. <v Speaker 3>I washed it one time and it shrank and I <v Speaker 3>was like, never again, I'm not sure scared again this <v Speaker 3>is going to be stinky. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I have the other stuff that I like that, like, oh, <v Speaker 2>one time I went through the washer and I'm like, oh, <v Speaker 2>it is the print on it fading a little bit already. <v Speaker 2>And then I get I get paranoid. I don't worry <v Speaker 2>a lot, and so yeah, it kind of defeats the purpose. <v Speaker 2>I think I need a new washing machine. I think <v Speaker 2>my watching machine is eating my gin garments. And no <v Speaker 2>that you stand up to it, but apparently not. Damn <v Speaker 2>you've been You've been traveling a lot already this year. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>And have you felt like, hey, you got your footing <v Speaker 2>with playing some games or anything like that. Got anything <v Speaker 2>that happen right now that you're super into, because I'm <v Speaker 2>I'm still I feel like I'm just kind of getting <v Speaker 2>my footing on that I still haven't. <v Speaker 3>Like, I don't think I've I've not played nearly as <v Speaker 3>much games as I want to be playing, or not <v Speaker 3>played nearly as much of the games I'm playing the game, <v Speaker 3>but I'm not playing enough of it, if you exactly, <v Speaker 3>which is very very annoying. I play like because I <v Speaker 3>try and play games too when reviews are coming in, <v Speaker 3>and I want to make sure that I've got a good, <v Speaker 3>good grasp of them so i can, like, you know, <v Speaker 3>check reviews and stuff like that. But I always want <v Speaker 3>to go back to some games I just haven't had <v Speaker 3>the chance to go back to, like Kingdom Come for example, <v Speaker 3>right same, Yeah, and a few other games. But I'm hoping, <v Speaker 3>like I'm off to a little more traveling this weekend, <v Speaker 3>but I'm hoping I can get a couple of days <v Speaker 3>of decent you know, poop soft game and and you <v Speaker 3>know what I'm saying. <v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, right, of course it's the only way to <v Speaker 2>do it. And then of course every time you're on <v Speaker 2>the show, it feels like some more stuff happens. With <v Speaker 2>with blood Born, there was all those dmcas, and then <v Speaker 2>Katakawa CITHSTONI is going to publish some of their games. <v Speaker 2>You feel in any type. <v Speaker 1>Of way. <v Speaker 3>Over it. <v Speaker 1>I just like, I want you to not be over it, <v Speaker 1>I think, But yeah. <v Speaker 3>They want me to know. I've had enough. I've had enough, <v Speaker 3>you know, I thee I saw the DMCA stuff. I'm <v Speaker 3>just hoping that they don't come for my boy from <v Speaker 3>soft stuff, who's out there still modern things and making <v Speaker 3>cleaning up the way from software games look and making <v Speaker 3>them nice and shiny. But I expect that they'll come. <v Speaker 3>So you know what's gonna happen. It's gonna be like, oh, <v Speaker 3>the Bloodborne that maybe it's everyone's on copum right now <v Speaker 3>where they're like, maybe this means something totally, And you <v Speaker 3>know what, they're gonna announce that they're making like a <v Speaker 3>Bloodborn coloring pencil set or something like that, and everyone's <v Speaker 3>gonna be like, for Fox's. <v Speaker 1>Sake, Yep, listen, I'll buy it. Sure, why not? <v Speaker 3>A yah bloodborn happy meal partnership with McDonald's things. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, any minute, it's pretty good. Actually like that a lot. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, let's explain what we do here most weekdays, I, <v Speaker 2>Jeff Grub will help piece your gaming life back together. <v Speaker 2>That includes breaking news and maybe even some of our <v Speaker 2>own original reporting. For all these topics, I'll get the <v Speaker 2>input of a bona fide expert who will make me <v Speaker 2>look smart. You are watching live on twitch Welcome. You <v Speaker 2>can always listen to the show later on podcast feeds <v Speaker 2>by searching for Game This Mornings or find the RSS <v Speaker 2>on giant bomb dot com. You can also catch the <v Speaker 2>show later with chapters and timestamps on YouTube. <v Speaker 1>Hello YouTube. <v Speaker 2>All right, we have a to get into, so let's <v Speaker 2>start the morning mess with Grand Theft Auto six is <v Speaker 2>on track to release in fall twenty twenty five. Take <v Speaker 2>two says. This is from Chris Scullion at VGC. Grand <v Speaker 2>Theft Auto six is still on track to release this year, <v Speaker 2>Take two says during an investor presentation discussing its Q <v Speaker 2>three earnings for the financial year of twenty twenty five, <v Speaker 2>the publisher confirmed that the game is still listed as <v Speaker 2>a launching fall of calendar twenty twenty five. It also <v Speaker 2>says Borderlands four is still planned to release later this year. <v Speaker 2>Take two hasn't given any more concrete release dates for <v Speaker 2>either game, however, however, which may prove frustrating for other <v Speaker 2>publishers who are reportedly deciding not to nail down release <v Speaker 2>dates for their own products so as not to clash. <v Speaker 1>With the release of Grand Theft Auto six. Yeah. <v Speaker 2>I think Tam that they probably are still definitely planning <v Speaker 2>to get this game out this year right now. Also, <v Speaker 2>it's like, even if they're not one hundred percent sure <v Speaker 2>it's a bit early, they have some time and if <v Speaker 2>they feel like there's a chance they can get out, <v Speaker 2>I'm sure that that that's what they want. <v Speaker 1>I think this game slips anymore. The furthest that slips <v Speaker 1>is into very early twenty twenty six. <v Speaker 2>So I really do feel like we're at the we're <v Speaker 2>running up to this game actually coming out now, right. <v Speaker 3>I Yeah, I think that. Yeah, I personally believe they'll <v Speaker 3>slip into early twenty twenty I do too. Six. I <v Speaker 3>mean like they're not gonna they're not gonna come to <v Speaker 3>a you know, investor call and you'll be like, well, <v Speaker 3>we're gonna delay this bad boy you feel about that, I. <v Speaker 2>Mean, especially not like it's the this is the report <v Speaker 2>for Q three of their fiscal year. This game will <v Speaker 2>come out in the next fiscal year, so they don't <v Speaker 2>even really have to say much about this game yet. <v Speaker 1>Next time, maybe they have to, like say a little <v Speaker 1>bit more. <v Speaker 2>But you're right, like, even if it does slip into <v Speaker 2>early twenty twenty twenty six, that would still be their <v Speaker 2>next fiscal year, so they don't have to start warning <v Speaker 2>investors about anything if there if there. <v Speaker 1>Is reason to panic, which they're they're implying there isn't. Though. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, and like they said, they have Borderlands planned for <v Speaker 3>this year, right, and Borderlands is a pee that for <v Speaker 3>better or for worse, it does gang bust in numbers, <v Speaker 3>not GTA numbers, but good enough or high enough that <v Speaker 3>they could, you know, just kind of rely on that <v Speaker 3>to do the heavy lifting for the financials to a degree, <v Speaker 3>which means it's much more palatable to them if you know, <v Speaker 3>they decide if someone comes along and is like, hey, <v Speaker 3>we want to move this into next year. If it <v Speaker 3>was a case of we have nothing else, we cannot <v Speaker 3>do that, that would make sense, but they could go, <v Speaker 3>we're going to make a trillion dollars off this thing, <v Speaker 3>so let's just move it the way they want to <v Speaker 3>move it, and we have Borderlands which will pick up <v Speaker 3>some of that slack, so we're good. And then you know, <v Speaker 3>they have other small games, smaller games that they're probably publishing. <v Speaker 3>If they did this, it would be the least if <v Speaker 3>they delay, it would be the least surprising thing and <v Speaker 3>probably the most beneficial thing for them as well. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, and it's I mean, these massive games, it's just <v Speaker 2>it's pretty usual. It's a standard for them to get <v Speaker 2>like that. One last delay. And right now they're planning <v Speaker 2>late in the year, so delay probably could push it <v Speaker 2>early next year. But yeah, I just I guess, you know, <v Speaker 2>it's worth pointing out that they kind of internally delayed <v Speaker 2>it as far as we're aware, because this game's revenue <v Speaker 2>was going. <v Speaker 1>To be reported. <v Speaker 2>They put it in their outlook for the current fiscal <v Speaker 2>year that we're in right now, and then they basically <v Speaker 2>a couple earning supports that go said, Okay, actually we're <v Speaker 2>moving that stuff out because some stuff has changed. And <v Speaker 2>then after that they said and then Grand Theft Auto <v Speaker 2>six is coming out later in twenty twenty five, so <v Speaker 2>we kind of know that they shifted that game around <v Speaker 2>previously internally before they announced any date or kind of <v Speaker 2>talked about the game in any public way previously. So <v Speaker 2>I guess it's already had a big delay, and I <v Speaker 2>do think that they are most of the way there. <v Speaker 1>Like again, this is not going. <v Speaker 2>To be one of these delays that puts it into <v Speaker 2>late twenty twenty six, so chance it does come out <v Speaker 2>this year, And as you pointed out, take to you <v Speaker 2>us a lot else going on this year. I mean, <v Speaker 2>they did just release Civilization seven. I suppose that's in <v Speaker 2>early access, but it's coming out this week. Mafia the <v Speaker 2>Old Country is coming out in summer, and then they <v Speaker 2>said Borderlands Force coming this year as well. And this <v Speaker 2>is all in the calendar year, so before the end <v Speaker 2>of December is when they're promising all of that. So <v Speaker 2>they're talking a big game to investors, and I think <v Speaker 2>they really really want to hit that if possible. <v Speaker 3>So my question for you is, what's off to GTA. <v Speaker 3>Are we doing another Red Dead or are we bullying <v Speaker 3>it up or. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean, god, I think they should take the <v Speaker 2>chance to do bully but I don't know if they <v Speaker 2>think that way. <v Speaker 1>I mean, you know, what it really is is a <v Speaker 1>lot of support for GTA Online for the next several. <v Speaker 3>Years, right, that's absolutely yeah. <v Speaker 2>So it's like it's kind of like, do I even <v Speaker 2>want to start talking myself up into like what else <v Speaker 2>they could be doing. They'll they'll do another Red Dead, right, <v Speaker 2>I mean they'll. <v Speaker 1>Get around to that eventually. Yes, eventually. <v Speaker 2>I don't I don't think they're rushing to it or <v Speaker 2>anything like that, but yeah, I think there's a chance <v Speaker 2>they try to like squeak something else in there. It's just, <v Speaker 2>of course these days, a major developer like that trying <v Speaker 2>to squeak another game in. We're talking five six, seven <v Speaker 2>years of development, and maybe that is too much of <v Speaker 2>an opportunity cost wasted spent on something like Bully when <v Speaker 2>they're like, well, we could be spending that time on <v Speaker 2>more GTA stuff and then Red Dead. <v Speaker 1>So we'll see. I don't know, what do you think? <v Speaker 3>I mean? I would love for them to do Bully <v Speaker 3>or even a new IP, you know sometimes, I mean <v Speaker 3>new ips doesn't seem super likely, but I would love <v Speaker 3>for them to do Bully. And I feel like, of <v Speaker 3>all the developers that I mean, like they can make anything, <v Speaker 3>and it was probably so extremely well at least to <v Speaker 3>begin with, Like they would have to put out a <v Speaker 3>series of duds before anyone goes, eh, maybe we shouldn't <v Speaker 3>be buying games you know that they put out without <v Speaker 3>considering them too hard, and. <v Speaker 1>They just like have such high budgets. <v Speaker 2>That's like it's gonna look shiny compared to every other <v Speaker 2>game by the fault because they just spend so much <v Speaker 2>time and money. <v Speaker 1>On their games. <v Speaker 3>Yep, exactly. I'm yeah, I would love to see another Bully. <v Speaker 3>I think it could be really very cool and le's <v Speaker 3>some I feel like Bully is like a very different <v Speaker 3>type of game, Like it's a little more contained. It's <v Speaker 3>not as like a vast as the GTA games tend <v Speaker 3>to be, So I could it could be them like <v Speaker 3>flexing some you know, technical skills as well and that <v Speaker 3>kind of stuff. <v Speaker 2>Right, Like, I think there's something to be said for Okay, <v Speaker 2>we're gonna make a whole open world, sure, but then <v Speaker 2>let's take that same level of depth and apply it <v Speaker 2>to just like one city block that contains school and <v Speaker 2>make that like the deepest simulation possible and then let <v Speaker 2>people mess around with that. You could see that being <v Speaker 2>very I don't know, I would like that a lot. <v Speaker 2>I think it's something like the Hitman series was doing <v Speaker 2>really well. So hey, we're just gonna take this one <v Speaker 2>building and give you a lot to do in there. <v Speaker 2>And I would like to see rock Stars take on <v Speaker 2>one little city block that they just go throw everything into. Yeah, exactly, <v Speaker 2>all right, let's move over some stories that broke earlier <v Speaker 2>this morning. Rock Steady is back working on a single <v Speaker 2>player Batman game, it is claimed. Not too surprising. This <v Speaker 2>is from Jordan Miller at VGC by way of Jason <v Speaker 2>tryer Over at Bloomberg. Rock Steady Studios is working on <v Speaker 2>a Batman game, it's claimed, according to Bloomberg, as part <v Speaker 2>of a report explaining what each of Warner Brothers Games <v Speaker 2>Studios is currently working on. It's claimed that the studio, <v Speaker 2>which made its name with the Batman Arkham franchise, is <v Speaker 2>going back to work on the Batman license. Rock Study <v Speaker 2>is looking to return to Batman for a single player game, <v Speaker 2>but according to people familiar with the timeline, the new <v Speaker 2>project is years away from landing. The publication states rock <v Speaker 2>Steady Studio's last game, Suicide Squad Killed the Justice League <v Speaker 2>was a commercial and critical failure. Rock Steady Studios suffered <v Speaker 2>layoffs earlier this year, making making it the second time <v Speaker 2>in recent months the company has undergone job losses. It <v Speaker 2>was reported last September that numerous rock Steady employees had <v Speaker 2>been made redundant over the previous month, including its Q <v Speaker 2>and A department or its QA department excuse me, being <v Speaker 2>more than halved from thirty three staff to fifteen. As <v Speaker 2>the latest title from the studio behind the celebrated Batman <v Speaker 2>Arkham franchise, Suicide Squad was once was once one of <v Speaker 2>the industry's most highly antestipated games, but that didn't work out. Yeah, okay, <v Speaker 2>I mean I think fair to just assume this at <v Speaker 2>a certain point, but now basically confirmed, this is the <v Speaker 2>move if you're if you're them, you kind of go back, <v Speaker 2>you know, you go to ground right if you are <v Speaker 2>under assault and you put out something that makes you <v Speaker 2>feel like, okay, we have we're panicking. We got to <v Speaker 2>figure out where what we can do. A new Batman <v Speaker 2>single player game makes a lot of sense. <v Speaker 1>What do you think? <v Speaker 3>Yeah, it does. It does make a lot of sense. <v Speaker 3>Is going back to the thing that they're known for. <v Speaker 3>I think the issue now not issue is like the <v Speaker 3>concern is people the the tumultuous nature of Suicide Squad <v Speaker 3>put a big spotlight on them as a studio, and <v Speaker 3>over the course of the process, people who probably ordinarily <v Speaker 3>wouldn't have paid attention to who's there and who's leaving <v Speaker 3>probably have paid attention. So I think folks are a <v Speaker 3>little more aware of what kind what the state of <v Speaker 3>rock Steady is right now where you know, I don't <v Speaker 3>think Sefton's there anymore, Like there's there's some key Batman <v Speaker 3>creatives that are no longer there. That's not to say <v Speaker 3>they can't make a good Batman game. I have faith <v Speaker 3>in them as a studio to make that, but I <v Speaker 3>think there's going to be a little more scrutiny. And <v Speaker 3>I said, I would say that my faith isn't like unimpeachable. <v Speaker 3>I'm slightly concerned. But you know, there's a bunch of <v Speaker 3>people there who probably deserved a short long time ago <v Speaker 3>and may have some good ideas that are gonna finally <v Speaker 3>get the opportunity to make the thing that they want <v Speaker 3>because Suicide Squad damn sure wasn't what they wanted to <v Speaker 3>do just know that inside and out. <v Speaker 1>When do you think we see this game? <v Speaker 2>I mean right now, you know, twenty twenty five, they're <v Speaker 2>probably just really getting started. Games take forever now. It <v Speaker 2>has to live up to the Batman Arkham legacy. So <v Speaker 2>it's gotta it's gotta be real good. Can't come in <v Speaker 2>half baked. When do you think we see it? <v Speaker 3>I think that it's probably like at least three or <v Speaker 3>four years away, maybe more. And like I I'm not <v Speaker 3>one hundred percent confident that will make it to release, <v Speaker 3>if you know what I mean, Like I hope so, <v Speaker 3>but the economics of making a game are so unpredictable <v Speaker 3>right now, the kind of appetite for making games changes, <v Speaker 3>especially at a company like Warner Brothers, Like right now <v Speaker 3>they can they might be in on games because you know, <v Speaker 3>more combat does well for them, and Batman has previously <v Speaker 3>done well for them, but it did very well Harry <v Speaker 3>Potter did with them. It's it's also the kind of <v Speaker 3>company that, regardless of how well games are doing and <v Speaker 3>how invested they are, it's not their main business and <v Speaker 3>any sort of like minor bump in the road could <v Speaker 3>be a potential bump that has them just killing off <v Speaker 3>their entire game business. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, they feel the drag on gaming harder than they <v Speaker 2>would feel like movies. They can't give up movies, right, <v Speaker 2>You're right, So if there's a drag on games, they're like, well, <v Speaker 2>why are we even doing this? <v Speaker 3>Yeah? Yeah, And like you know, Zaz Love is not <v Speaker 3>known for making the most you know, not a visionary, <v Speaker 3>consumer friendly kind of decisions. Not really a visionary. He's <v Speaker 3>a numbers man or if he gets him like a <v Speaker 3>one percent better numbers, he will kill everything to make <v Speaker 3>that happen. So I hope, So, I hope. I would <v Speaker 3>love for rock Steady to restore his former glory. It's <v Speaker 3>a British studio, so I'm super invested in that they're <v Speaker 3>working on probably my one of my favorite ips of <v Speaker 3>all time. I love Batman, so I would love to <v Speaker 3>see them come back with a good Batman game. I <v Speaker 3>do wonder what it is, Maybe that Damian Wayne game <v Speaker 3>that they originally had knocking about, I hope, or you know, <v Speaker 3>a Batman Beyond. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I'm like, we talked about Batman Beyond previously. It's like, hey, <v Speaker 2>that's what they should go do, I think, And then <v Speaker 2>someone reached out to me is like well, whatever they're <v Speaker 2>working on, it's not Batman Beyond. <v Speaker 1>Don't worry about that. <v Speaker 3>No, I don't think a Batman Beyond game will ever <v Speaker 3>be made. People you say the words Bruce Wayne, people <v Speaker 3>go Batman. You say the word Terry McGinnis, and people <v Speaker 3>go drunken man at a bar. Question mark is. <v Speaker 4>That like a television lawyer like what, Yeah, yeah, it's <v Speaker 4>fight for you. Yeah, I'm Terry McGinnis retro game core. Yeah, <v Speaker 4>sadly is Yeah. The kind of Beyond the universe is <v Speaker 4>isolated to the hardcore audience, the people who really cared <v Speaker 4>about that kind of stuff, and it's gonna I think <v Speaker 4>it's only really gonna manifest in certain places, like you know, <v Speaker 4>comic book, New Comic Book, small. <v Speaker 2>Little elements of that and use it in their own way, <v Speaker 2>and it's like, okay, we see how you're inspired by <v Speaker 2>Batman Beyond. <v Speaker 3>I think best case scenario pathway to a Batman Beyond <v Speaker 3>game is putting out a Batman game with Bruce or <v Speaker 3>more recognizable characters and starting to lay the kind of <v Speaker 3>foundations and crumbs to a Terry McInnis game where you know, <v Speaker 3>you have a file in the cave that says Terry <v Speaker 3>McInnis on it, and like, you know, it says something <v Speaker 3>about keeping an eye on this kid, and eventually, you know, <v Speaker 3>the next game, maybe two games down the line, they're like, <v Speaker 3>you know, Bruce is old now, but we've got that <v Speaker 3>guy who you've been hearing references to constantly. <v Speaker 2>You said it, But like WB's interest in this, I mean, <v Speaker 2>we known, We've known for years. We've heard the stories repeatedly, <v Speaker 2>Warner Brothers trying to sell its gaming division can't find <v Speaker 2>a buyer. That has not just happened once. At this point, <v Speaker 2>it's been two or three times, and no one wants. <v Speaker 1>To buy it. <v Speaker 2>So we know Warner brothers interest only goes so far <v Speaker 2>into gaming, and really, right now it seems mostly disinterested <v Speaker 2>and kind of just hates the cost of these things, <v Speaker 2>regardless of the success they might have had with anything. <v Speaker 2>So yep, the four or five six years it might <v Speaker 2>take to make a Batman game, who knows, who know <v Speaker 2>anything can happen, and who knows what. <v Speaker 3>Batman could get canceled in that time? That's right, man, <v Speaker 3>who knows? <v Speaker 2>Honestly, by the time the game comes out, isn't there <v Speaker 2>a strong chance Batman will be in the public domain. <v Speaker 2>Is Batman in the public domain like twenty thirty one <v Speaker 2>or something. <v Speaker 3>Like that, and that is never happening. It's zero. <v Speaker 2>Listen, if it happened to Steamboat Willie slash Mickey Mouse, <v Speaker 2>it'll be. <v Speaker 3>Anything about steamboat willing. No one knows who Steamboat Willie <v Speaker 3>is old and graying, like no one knows who steamboat <v Speaker 3>you think Mickey saying the laws around public use copyright <v Speaker 3>will be changed before Batman gets they could be changed. <v Speaker 3>I wouldn't be surprised if they are changed, because Batman <v Speaker 3>could become like a publicly available with you. <v Speaker 1>If Disney can't, well, okay, you know what. Here's the thing. <v Speaker 1>Here's what happened with Disney is they. <v Speaker 2>Were responsible for the law changing previously, and everyone got <v Speaker 2>like was like, you know, fuck you Disney, like how <v Speaker 2>do you have this much power? And so they got <v Speaker 2>afraid to wield it, like when when the expisson did <v Speaker 2>come up. Now we're in a kind of a different <v Speaker 2>place with how corporations care about what we think about them, <v Speaker 2>So you're right, maybe maybe this is a different situation <v Speaker 2>and they could extend it once again. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I would be extremely surprised if Batman goes into <v Speaker 3>public domain, because let me tell you, I want to <v Speaker 3>be writing some stories and they are gonna be disgusted. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 2>Well, listen, if it's a parody story involving lots of <v Speaker 2>terrible sex. <v Speaker 1>Acts, you can already write that. Don't worry. It's transformative. <v Speaker 3>Sure, No, I don't need to do the other people <v Speaker 3>taking care of Yeah. <v Speaker 1>They got your back there. All right. <v Speaker 2>We're sticking with Warner Brothers Wonder Woman the game. The <v Speaker 2>Wonder Woman game has reportedly been rebooted and is still <v Speaker 2>years away. This is from Jordan Miller of VGC as well. <v Speaker 2>WB's Wonder Woman game is years away from release. According <v Speaker 2>to a new report, wonder Woman, which is being developed <v Speaker 2>by Monolith Productions, will use the Nemesis system from their <v Speaker 2>acclaimed pair of Lord of the Rings games released during <v Speaker 2>the last generation. The game was announced in twenty twenty one. <v Speaker 3>They said, acclaimed pair. Yes, I'm not sure about that one, chief, <v Speaker 3>Let's try though. <v Speaker 2>Jordan Miller sneaking that in the number one yeah, number <v Speaker 2>one Shadow of mort or two fan what I can't <v Speaker 2>remember the name of that. <v Speaker 3>Game, war Shadow of Wool. <v Speaker 1>Oh my god, now. <v Speaker 3>It was fantastic Wool like what yeah? <v Speaker 2>Now, According to Bloomberg, the project has been rebooted last <v Speaker 2>year and has switched directors. One of the company's biggest <v Speaker 2>bets in development, a video game based on Wonder Woman, <v Speaker 2>has struggled to according to people familiar with the project, <v Speaker 2>early last year, it was rebooted, rebooted, and switched directors. <v Speaker 2>The game has already cost more than one hundred million dollars, <v Speaker 2>said the people, who asked not to be identified discussing <v Speaker 2>non public information, and it's still years away from release, <v Speaker 2>if it ever makes it to market. Elsewhere in the report, <v Speaker 2>it's claimed that both Harry Potter Quidditch Champions and Multiverses flopped. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. I don't think I've ever seen a single human <v Speaker 1>being talk about that Quidditch game. Yeah. <v Speaker 2>So Warner Brothers, man, they have some real misses, and <v Speaker 2>they've got some big hits for sure, and then they <v Speaker 2>have a lot of big projects in the works that <v Speaker 2>are years away. <v Speaker 1>Some of them have been in development since twenty twenty one. <v Speaker 2>Basically it breaks down to here, Tam Warner Brothers doesn't <v Speaker 2>have any major games coming out for the next two <v Speaker 2>years because of stuff like this, and now we're like <v Speaker 2>wondering if this Wonder Woman game ever actually comes. <v Speaker 3>Out again, I think it's subject to the same kind <v Speaker 3>of whims of corporate whims as potentially a Batman game could, <v Speaker 3>Like they have nothing coming out, You're right, they could <v Speaker 3>either you know, stay the course and let Monolith make <v Speaker 3>this game which day is completely unproven with the character <v Speaker 3>that has some appeal but is quickly diminishing. Like I <v Speaker 3>feel like, firstly, Galigad has done irreparable damage to the <v Speaker 3>DC universe with her absolutely dogshit acting, so that character <v Speaker 3>people are like, ah, but if you've been reading the comics, <v Speaker 3>then maybe you have a little bit more interesting Wonder Woman, <v Speaker 3>or you watch I don't know, you accidentally stumble your <v Speaker 3>way into watching Justice League and limited on on Max <v Speaker 3>or something like that. But Wonder Woman isn't a very <v Speaker 3>exposed to the public character, if you know what I mean. <v Speaker 3>The comics are fantastic, but everything else outside of that <v Speaker 3>she don't exist on me is like, what who's this for? <v Speaker 3>So there is there is a I I love the <v Speaker 3>DC universe, so I am I would love to play this. <v Speaker 3>I do wonder if a certain points soon, you know, <v Speaker 3>the next bump in the road for this development cycle, <v Speaker 3>someone goes there is anyone actually care about this character <v Speaker 3>in the video game world. And then that's the kind <v Speaker 3>of like the the the the pund, the stone in <v Speaker 3>the pond that results in you know this game right, <v Speaker 3>and that's canceled. <v Speaker 2>Upon already being that has been severely disturbed by Suicide <v Speaker 2>Squad right where they're like, hey, we've been through this <v Speaker 2>already with Okay, we bring it a game because a <v Speaker 2>movie did really well, and then we put out a sequel, <v Speaker 2>and the sequel was in that case, was actually better <v Speaker 2>but was less well received just because for a bunch <v Speaker 2>of reasons. But people felt burned by the first Suicide <v Speaker 2>Squad and it's like, uh oh, no one cares about <v Speaker 2>Suicide Squad. <v Speaker 3>Did you say the one second Wonder Woman movie? <v Speaker 4>No, the second Suicide Squad movie in that case, okay, <v Speaker 4>wonder one Woman movie. <v Speaker 1>Damn literally, I find that movie vile. That movie watch. <v Speaker 3>That is a war crimes so it is so it <v Speaker 3>is atrociousness. The first one is pretty bad. <v Speaker 2>Like when I was watching it, I was trying to <v Speaker 2>watch it, I was like, I gave it a real shy, <v Speaker 2>but I had nothing against Wonder Woman. The first one <v Speaker 2>in the movie Woman movie is fine. I'm sitting down <v Speaker 2>to watch the second one, and I'm feeling like, actually repulsed. <v Speaker 1>By it, and I had to turn it off about <v Speaker 1>forty minutes in. <v Speaker 3>I watched that one. I watched a little bit of <v Speaker 3>that one. I was like, I cannot, I cannot do <v Speaker 3>this to myself. I respect myself just enough to stop this. <v Speaker 3>The first one I watched all the way through and <v Speaker 3>I was like, that was gross and terrible, like like <v Speaker 3>it had its moments, but like I was just why <v Speaker 3>why do they do this? Why do they do this? <v Speaker 3>The last like I can't remember all the last good <v Speaker 3>DC universe movie was like in my genuine will be <v Speaker 3>like Birds of Prey. Birds of Prey was at least <v Speaker 3>one praise fun. Maybe it is that Suicide Squad. <v Speaker 2>Suicide Squad. The second one is very good. There's there <v Speaker 2>had to be one recently that did all right. <v Speaker 3>I don't count like The Batman because the Batman is <v Speaker 3>not really in that same universe. Also, I love The Batman. <v Speaker 3>I think it's a I've seen it many many times. <v Speaker 3>It's also not a particularly good movie. Like I think <v Speaker 3>it's got a lot going for it. El Rata Alta <v Speaker 3>is one of the stupidest things I have ever experienced <v Speaker 3>in all my years as someone who can read words <v Speaker 3>and is a Batman. Fans like fuck, you know, like <v Speaker 3>that is some stupid as shiit, what's greatest detective? Embarrassing? Embarrassing? <v Speaker 3>I've seen that movie many times. I love it. I <v Speaker 3>think I own it on Blu Ray. I've seen it <v Speaker 3>with a live orchestra. I just got good vibes. <v Speaker 1>Yes, the ra. <v Speaker 3>Alta is the stupidest shit I've ever heard of by life. <v Speaker 2>I think I am fully where you're at with that, <v Speaker 2>where it's like it's a movie. <v Speaker 1>I'm fine watching. <v Speaker 2>I enjoy it in some but when I assess it <v Speaker 2>as a film, it comes up short in a lot <v Speaker 2>of ways. Either way, what we're saying is people have <v Speaker 2>lost interest in Wonder Woman compared to the Zen if <v Speaker 2>it was at when it when it that first movie <v Speaker 2>came out. Same thing happen with Suicide Squad, and now <v Speaker 2>we saw what happened Suicide Squad. <v Speaker 1>You're right. <v Speaker 2>If these pebbles get thrown in this pond over and <v Speaker 2>over again for this game, eventually they're just gonna, you know, <v Speaker 2>go home, and they're not gonna go They'll see this <v Speaker 2>thing through. <v Speaker 3>They'll take this as far as it can go, and <v Speaker 3>if it gets if it gets canceled, they'll just swap <v Speaker 3>it out for the Xeno Warrior Princess liscense. Okay, and <v Speaker 3>as we know, Xeno Warrior princesses perennially popcast. Everyone loves <v Speaker 3>Zeno Warrior Prince. <v Speaker 2>Never declined that that that Xena Warrior Princess game for GameCube. <v Speaker 3>That's something incredible. Yep, everyone loves Zena and Gabrielle and <v Speaker 3>other characters in that show. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, Bruce Campbells the Joxa, the Mighty Bruce Campbelluh huh Yeah. <v Speaker 2>Wednesday, Ivan Ramie, Sam Raimi's brother. Yeah, Carl Urban's in there. <v Speaker 3>I watched the lot. I think I've seen every episode <v Speaker 3>of Xeno Warrior Princess. <v Speaker 2>So I always have that era of TV. Yeah, okay, <v Speaker 2>all right, you know what, We're gonna take a break. <v Speaker 2>When we come back. Let's talk about Hey, that Nintendo <v Speaker 2>Patton that confirmed that thing's gonna work as a mouse. <v Speaker 1>We'll talk about that right after this. <v Speaker 2>All right, we're back. We're getting right back into it. <v Speaker 2>And here we are with Nintendo thing. You're saying, really <v Speaker 2>really hello, Hi, Tam. You can't hear me. I think <v Speaker 2>I'm lighting up in discord. You have your ears? You <v Speaker 2>really you really can't hear me? I can hear you? <v Speaker 2>All right, let's see here. I'm not sure what to <v Speaker 2>do about this, tam. Uh we even come back? <v Speaker 1>Maybe? All right? Season chat and come back? <v Speaker 3>Wait wait wait ye back you back. <v Speaker 1>You back? Okay, all right, I don't no idea what <v Speaker 1>happened there, Tam. <v Speaker 3>I was yeah, okay, I said some absolutely disgusting shit <v Speaker 3>about you know, worried princess. So it's probably best that. <v Speaker 1>Okay, Well we could hear you the entire time, is <v Speaker 1>the thing. <v Speaker 3>Okay, gotcha? <v Speaker 1>All right. <v Speaker 2>Nintendo patent applications seems to confirm switch to joy Con feature. <v Speaker 2>This is from Blair Marnell at game Spot. Earlier this year, <v Speaker 2>Nintendo debuted a brief first look at switch to which <v Speaker 2>didn't offer many details about the new console. However, there <v Speaker 2>was a moment in the teaser video where the next <v Speaker 2>generation of joy Cons appeared to move over a flat <v Speaker 2>surface like a mouse. <v Speaker 1>Now. <v Speaker 2>A Japanese patent application filed in August twenty twenty three <v Speaker 2>appears to confirm that the joy Cons will have mouse <v Speaker 2>capabilities or at least that Nintendo patented that idea. The <v Speaker 2>application was publicly revealed on February sixth, and it includes <v Speaker 2>an early schematic for new the New JOYCN, which it <v Speaker 2>describes as the input device. The patent also states that <v Speaker 2>it has a sensor for mouse operation, which functions in <v Speaker 2>a similar way that normal what normal mice work with computers. <v Speaker 2>I think at this point most people have like looked <v Speaker 2>at that trailer, looked at their early rumors, and accepted <v Speaker 2>that this is probably happening. But this is this all <v Speaker 2>but confirms it. Nintendo will likely show off some of <v Speaker 2>the functionality for themselves when we get to that switch <v Speaker 2>or that April second switch to event that Nintendo directed <v Speaker 2>at that point. But yeah, it looks like this is real, <v Speaker 2>and I'm getting more excited about because I think this <v Speaker 2>is a good like sort of zone for a Nintendo <v Speaker 2>gimmick of I had to, I do have one question. Yeah, why, Well, <v Speaker 2>because you know, Nintendo's always feels the next like it feels, <v Speaker 2>but they. <v Speaker 1>Want to have a gimmick, They want to have something. <v Speaker 1>They want to set this uparate themselves a little bit. <v Speaker 3>And no one's going to play Football Manager on your <v Speaker 3>console or civil wherever it may be. Well, give us <v Speaker 3>Metroid Prime and shut up. <v Speaker 2>Well, okay, hopefully they do give us Metroid Prime. If <v Speaker 2>this is the reason we don't get Metro Prime before, <v Speaker 2>I will be deeply upset, of course. But a lot <v Speaker 2>of people do play SIF six on switch. I don't <v Speaker 2>know if those people would like switch over to the <v Speaker 2>mouse though, because I think you can already plug in <v Speaker 2>a PC mouse yeah, usb into a switch and play <v Speaker 2>some games. <v Speaker 1>Like that with like with that method. So that's been there. <v Speaker 2>I think what this really is, Tam, is there will <v Speaker 2>be three to seven Nintendo published first party games from <v Speaker 2>their weird studios that are along the lines of Mario <v Speaker 2>Paint and game Maker Garage. <v Speaker 3>If this results in a Mario Paint game, I'm I <v Speaker 3>take everything I'm I will have said, and we'll say <v Speaker 3>about this mouse thing back. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, very real, weird dumb stuff like the suite of <v Speaker 2>Art art games for the sixty four D D. <v Speaker 3>Or like the cardboard boxes that you put together to <v Speaker 3>play video games in which my laber I'm sorry, I <v Speaker 3>am sorry. Okay, what the what were they doing? <v Speaker 1>You mean they were they were They were like raising <v Speaker 1>up a new generation of stem lovers. Tam. <v Speaker 3>Uh, you know, genuinely for two months. I two months, <v Speaker 3>like that thing was about and like the amount of <v Speaker 3>cardboard bullshit that's probably knocking around the earth because of. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I had a key either the piano. I did <v Speaker 2>that one. I did a few of them at this point. <v Speaker 2>But building that piano was a lot of fun. And <v Speaker 2>eventually I did have to throw it out and it <v Speaker 2>made me feel bad because it's like, I've spent so <v Speaker 2>much time working on this, but. <v Speaker 3>I created a disposable video game. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, okay, when you put it like that, like. <v Speaker 3>They made that ship knowing that it was gonna get <v Speaker 3>chucked away. It has no durability and they're not gonna <v Speaker 3>support it beyond a couple months. That's wild. <v Speaker 1>I don't want them to raise expansion cardboard, tam. That's crazy. <v Speaker 3>I don't do that, crazy, man, that's crazy. At least <v Speaker 3>Left's Tap was one box and you could just tap it. <v Speaker 3>Was that was that called tap one one to switch? <v Speaker 1>Is that what you're thinking out? <v Speaker 3>No, there's that one game where you put the the <v Speaker 3>we remote on the bucks and then tap the bucks <v Speaker 3>and was that a horrifying thing. <v Speaker 1>For the Wii. Let's tap on Wi. <v Speaker 3>Okay, yes, that's what I said. Let's tap it. <v Speaker 4>Yes, yes you did. I didn't know you're talking about <v Speaker 4>that the Wii game. Okay, yes, reinstated. <v Speaker 1>Let's let's bring that back. Actually that that's that sounds <v Speaker 1>like fun. <v Speaker 3>And also, if I remember correctly, they didn't give you <v Speaker 3>that stupid ass box. They were like, you play this <v Speaker 3>with the bucks, but not giving you the bucks. <v Speaker 1>To your own. Of course you did. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, let's you asked why it's the answer is just Nintendo. <v Speaker 2>I mean, you just gave all the reasons Nintendo's gonna <v Speaker 2>do this because they've done stuff like Labbo in the past. <v Speaker 4>Oh god, Oh no, Tam, You've been hit with the <v Speaker 4>fuddy duddy that's usually exclusively, exclusively, rever reserved for Mike Manatti. <v Speaker 1>How does that make you feel? <v Speaker 3>I don't know. I don't know I should take away <v Speaker 3>from this. I think if it's in response to my <v Speaker 3>thinking about LABO, I stand proud of it. I'm proud <v Speaker 3>of being a fuddy duddy. <v Speaker 1>You know. <v Speaker 3>Also, like using the word the phrase fuddy duddy automatically <v Speaker 3>ages you by fifty years. <v Speaker 2>Mike did refer to himself as a fuddy duddy first, <v Speaker 2>and yeah, so we just kind of ran with that. <v Speaker 3>I know Michael did it. That's why Mike is the <v Speaker 3>most Grandpa energy ship I've ever seen. Definitely, he his <v Speaker 3>his like family members. When he's old, they're going to <v Speaker 3>be like Grandpa tell us story and he's going to <v Speaker 3>be like, there's a mouse named Mickey, like as this <v Speaker 3>fucking Vietnam War style recounting of Mickey Mickey Mouse's adventures. <v Speaker 1>And he loves it. <v Speaker 2>He loves his opinion takes and everything. So everyone should <v Speaker 2>definitely carry on with that for sure. All Right, he <v Speaker 2>says he's still catching strays. I think these are directly <v Speaker 2>aimed at you. <v Speaker 3>Actually, this is a sniper rifle point it directly at <v Speaker 3>Mike Manati's forehead. That's so I operate, Okay. <v Speaker 2>Anyway, switch to joy kind features they're real, let's move on. <v Speaker 2>GTA six publisher fully expects to support switch to going forward. <v Speaker 2>This is from Jordan Miller of VGC. This is another <v Speaker 2>thing out of that take to earn Interport. SIP six <v Speaker 2>did do very well on switch. They're launching a SIEVE <v Speaker 2>seven on switch. It'll work on switch to. So like <v Speaker 2>they're definitely talking about stuff like that. Do you expect anything. <v Speaker 3>B I I my sweetest son much child. I know <v Speaker 3>that you thought, Oh, they're gonna support SIEV on this. No, <v Speaker 3>they're getting ready for the age of we Slop returning. <v Speaker 3>They're gonna put out like every every rubbish like compilation <v Speaker 3>of moveable you know, motion controlled games. Again, that's what <v Speaker 3>we're getting, right. <v Speaker 2>This is this doesn't mean like the Borderlands for They're <v Speaker 2>probably not thinking like we got to get that on <v Speaker 2>switch to necessarily, right. <v Speaker 3>I don't think. I mean, like I'm sure they will <v Speaker 3>because isn't isn't like the the leaked specs of it, <v Speaker 3>like it's a little beef here. Then then you know, <v Speaker 3>it's like you would. <v Speaker 2>Have AS four and PS four pro we'll see, you know, <v Speaker 2>with the tech features. <v Speaker 1>On top of that might be better. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, so maybe like they're able to put some games <v Speaker 3>on there. But I think like the only thing that <v Speaker 3>these gimmicks really do is create a short period of <v Speaker 3>time where everyone tries to make these gimmicks work because <v Speaker 3>they remember what it was like with the Wii and <v Speaker 3>the deep well of money they generated by just making <v Speaker 3>ping pong and clean this glass game, you know, I mean, <v Speaker 3>it's like weird shit like that so. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean they let's see here that they did. <v Speaker 2>They released the WWE games and the NBA two K <v Speaker 2>and that stuff. They don't like super support on Switch, <v Speaker 2>but they do it every year, so they must sell enough. <v Speaker 2>I don't think I think you're right where It's like <v Speaker 2>when they're talking about switch to and it's you they're <v Speaker 2>probably talking about. They'll continue doing that stuff as like <v Speaker 2>a gesture, and then it will be like, hey, how <v Speaker 2>else can we reach this specific audience and then not <v Speaker 2>put a lot of money into it, just like Nintendo does, <v Speaker 2>only realizing Nintendo also puts a lot of effort into <v Speaker 2>it while not spending a ton of money. <v Speaker 1>All right. <v Speaker 2>One of Nintendo's weirder games is coming to Switch Online <v Speaker 2>this month. This is from Evan Campbell at GameSpot or <v Speaker 2>as I wrote here, game Spoot just in time for <v Speaker 2>Valentine's Day. Nintendo's dropping Warrio Land for on Nintendo Switch <v Speaker 2>Online plus Expansion Pack on February fourteenth. The weird game <v Speaker 2>Boy advanced platformer sees the gassy anti hero turning into <v Speaker 2>zombie Warrio and bouncy Warrio, just a couple of the <v Speaker 2>transformations he's capable of. This is a really good game <v Speaker 2>Boy advanced platformer. I love Warrioland games. This so really <v Speaker 2>it is a weird one that's got a lot of <v Speaker 2>fun ideas in it. From two thousand and one and <v Speaker 2>day now it's going it's going to be available later <v Speaker 2>next week. <v Speaker 1>On Nintendo Switch Online plus expansion pack. <v Speaker 3>That's a good platform. <v Speaker 1>Yep. <v Speaker 2>I like I like all the warrio Land games, and <v Speaker 2>there's a lot of differences between. I guess like one <v Speaker 2>versus two and three are pretty similar. And then Forrest <v Speaker 2>got some new ideas as well, and Forest is like <v Speaker 2>the one like the Anton Blast seems to be even <v Speaker 2>the most inspired by these days. <v Speaker 1>All right. <v Speaker 2>Smite two dev lays off staff apparently ends work on <v Speaker 2>three games, including Smite one. This is from George Yang <v Speaker 2>at GameSpot. Smite two developer High Res is apparently laid <v Speaker 2>off fifty to sixty employees in stop development on three games, <v Speaker 2>Roague Company, Paladins and Smite one. Several now former employees <v Speaker 2>of High Res took the social media saying that they <v Speaker 2>had been laid off and the layoffs look like they <v Speaker 2>impact a variety of departments from designers, QA, marketing, and <v Speaker 2>social media. A Twitter user posted a message presumably from <v Speaker 2>High Res CEO Stewart Shazam that stated that the reduction <v Speaker 2>impacted the rally Here, Evil Mojo, and Titanforge game divisions. Additionally, <v Speaker 2>Rogue Company Paladins Smite one will no longer receive major updates, <v Speaker 2>but the servers will remain up for the foreseeable future. <v Speaker 2>Snite two is currently in early access and looks to <v Speaker 2>be High Res's sole focus going forward. The aforementioned message <v Speaker 2>also stated that the reductions are meant to enable a <v Speaker 2>steady flow of new content for Smite two. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 2>This is one of one of those developers that I <v Speaker 2>was always like, man, they have a lot more games <v Speaker 2>than I always remember. It's like, yeah, they're the Smite team, <v Speaker 2>and it's well, they made Paladins, which is like the <v Speaker 2>first kind of Overwatch clone that really popped off, and <v Speaker 2>then they went to Smite too, and then in between <v Speaker 2>that they had that Rogue Company game, which was that <v Speaker 2>online shooter that launched a bunch of stuff, including Switchy. <v Speaker 2>I think they've already stopped working on the switch version <v Speaker 2>a long time ago, so the fact that they've had <v Speaker 2>to reduce to focus on just Smite two isn't too surprising, <v Speaker 2>because it does feel like the time for like Paladins <v Speaker 2>and Rogue Company has has come and gone. <v Speaker 1>But I don't know. <v Speaker 2>Do you think a studio like this working on something <v Speaker 2>like Smite can make things make sense because it feels like, man, <v Speaker 2>they are really just trying to keep these things together. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I don't know, man, I think it can make sense, <v Speaker 3>but perhaps not operating at the scale that they have <v Speaker 3>been for a very long time. Yeah, I forgot about <v Speaker 3>Smite if I'm being honest. Obviously, like people losing their <v Speaker 3>jobs sucks, yep, But yeah, it's hard to say whether. <v Speaker 3>I mean, like even the most like well supported and <v Speaker 3>resource devs are struggling right now, so a studio like this, <v Speaker 3>like Hirase is probably going through it a bit more <v Speaker 3>than most. But yeah, I feel like it's it's sad <v Speaker 3>to see people losing their jobs. But sometimes like these companies, <v Speaker 3>they I mean, unless they're being shitty, they try and <v Speaker 3>kind of like focus it to make sure that they can, <v Speaker 3>you know, have some sort of sustainability. But yeah, I <v Speaker 3>don't know, man, it sucks. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, fifty sixty employees, it's that that that is just <v Speaker 2>devastating to see. As always having several games are all <v Speaker 2>kind of Sunset at the same time. That's clearly they <v Speaker 2>were trying to keep these these projects up and going. <v Speaker 2>Like that's the only reason that this is all happened <v Speaker 2>at the same time is because for they've been they <v Speaker 2>were just trying to brute force their way through this <v Speaker 2>and keep all those projects going and support it because <v Speaker 2>they definitely still have players. I think Smite one still <v Speaker 2>has a probably a decent player base, not like anything massive, <v Speaker 2>but I know that's like one of the mobives that <v Speaker 2>people are still into. We'll see if they're able to <v Speaker 2>pull the nose up with Smite two, but it's just <v Speaker 2>such a different environment. It's not like they're going to <v Speaker 2>be able to go find investors to the you know, <v Speaker 2>smooth things over, because no one's investing in games right now, <v Speaker 2>especially at this scale. So we'll see how it goes <v Speaker 2>from there. All right, last headline and then maybe we'll <v Speaker 2>do a couple of grub snacks questions. <v Speaker 1>To end out the week. <v Speaker 2>Football Manager twenty five canceled after multiple delays, dev. <v Speaker 1>Moves on to the next game. <v Speaker 2>This is from Georgiana Game Spot as well Sports Interactive <v Speaker 2>and Sega have announced that Football Manager twenty five is <v Speaker 2>canceled and will and the developer will instead focus on <v Speaker 2>their next release. The developer provided a lengthy explanation as <v Speaker 2>to why Football Manager twenty five was canceled. While many <v Speaker 2>of the game's areas hit the developers internal targets, the <v Speaker 2>overarching player experience and interface weren't up to its standards. <v Speaker 2>Through evaluations in play testing, the development team was confident <v Speaker 2>in a new direction, but the desired standards were ultimately <v Speaker 2>still too far away. However, the team will take their <v Speaker 2>learnings onto the next project. Basically, they're just going to <v Speaker 2>skip right over and start working on a Football Manager <v Speaker 2>twenty six. This is the first time they haven't put <v Speaker 2>out a Football Manager in a year, in thirty two years. <v Speaker 2>That's what you always gonna be, like, Oh man, there's <v Speaker 2>no way that they were hoping that this would happen. <v Speaker 2>They were trying to avoid this as well. <v Speaker 3>But this kind of people in absolute shambles right now. <v Speaker 2>Yep, exactly. I'm have you talked to your family, have <v Speaker 2>you checked in on them? Is everyone all right? <v Speaker 3>Cannot get through to anyone then, like it's just like <v Speaker 3>everything's on fire, like twenty eight days later over there. <v Speaker 2>I mean, hopefully they are able to just get the <v Speaker 2>next one, get everything improved and ready to go. But <v Speaker 2>it didn't work for what was the NBA game NBA <v Speaker 2>Live that EA had, and it's like they never could <v Speaker 2>get those together. Although I hope this isn't quite as <v Speaker 2>much of a mess as. <v Speaker 3>That in the elite. Yeah, I think I think there's <v Speaker 3>enough of an incentive to to keep making these games. <v Speaker 3>Aren't going with they they make an absurd amount of money. <v Speaker 3>And also, last time I checked, I don't regularly keep <v Speaker 3>a football manager as a game is pretty integrated into <v Speaker 3>the actual real industry of football. So like a lot <v Speaker 3>of coaches and assistant coaches will run sims using football <v Speaker 3>Manager to kind of figure things out, and I don't know, <v Speaker 3>like it's it's it's an important part of the actual <v Speaker 3>sport in a lot of ways. So I think it's <v Speaker 3>got some longevity because of that. But yeah, we ain't <v Speaker 3>seen this is not the last. We haven't seen the <v Speaker 3>last of football Manager. I can assure you of that. <v Speaker 2>I think that's right, and I think that also does <v Speaker 2>it for the headlines. We have a little bit extra time, <v Speaker 2>so I've opened up the field for questions from the audience. Hey, <v Speaker 2>if you have something. There's an ask a question button <v Speaker 2>there at the top. If you're in twitch chat, we'll <v Speaker 2>check in on. <v Speaker 1>That as well. <v Speaker 3>Just you know, ad us anything. <v Speaker 2>Ask us anything. Let's start here with God. Say what <v Speaker 2>I believe? Nikki from chat says, why does my back hurt? <v Speaker 1>Sam? Do you have an answer? Oh? What is? <v Speaker 3>It? Could be a posture. Just double check your posture. <v Speaker 3>Make sure you're sitting on a good chair. Good chair <v Speaker 3>can mean many things. You make sure you have lombar support. <v Speaker 3>You need a little bit of that. You don't have <v Speaker 3>to be sitting in like just a wooden you know, <v Speaker 3>dining chair or whatever it may be. That's important. You <v Speaker 3>may need to take some vitamins to kind of strengthen <v Speaker 3>the old bones. And also you might just be old <v Speaker 3>as hell man. Sorry, yeah, it happens. <v Speaker 1>It happens to everybody eventually. <v Speaker 2>Also, you know the phone, when you hold it like this, <v Speaker 2>it's like, you know, the further away from your face <v Speaker 2>it is. <v Speaker 1>The more you know. <v Speaker 4>It's like the ladies, So I always talked about like all <v Speaker 4>the bad back pains and stuff like that, because they <v Speaker 4>have to carry stuff out in. <v Speaker 1>Front of their bodies. That is the same thing when <v Speaker 1>you're holding the phone. <v Speaker 2>It's going to hurt your back, So maybe try to <v Speaker 2>bring it in kind of or put it down every <v Speaker 2>once in a while. <v Speaker 1>I don't know, Get off your phone, you damn kid. <v Speaker 3>Go to the gym and walk out. You'll back. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I already don't use the phone. Well, Nicky, then <v Speaker 2>God hates you. Have you considered that that's a possibility <v Speaker 2>as well? All right, so let's see someone from the <v Speaker 2>twitch chat asks, have you played my in Street Fighter six? <v Speaker 1>I have not yet. <v Speaker 3>That's putted me. Me and my. <v Speaker 2>Perfect ne Luck asks where is the fire Emblem remake <v Speaker 2>on a shelf somewhere? Completely finished for more than a <v Speaker 2>year now, a lot longer than a year now. Nintendo <v Speaker 2>at this point, I'm assuming is just saving it for <v Speaker 2>switch to I just like to plug in a development <v Speaker 2>gap over there at some point, because it wouldn't make <v Speaker 2>a lot of sense to release that, I. <v Speaker 1>Think at the very end of the Switch one. <v Speaker 2>But who knows, maybe maybe this direct that they're gonna <v Speaker 2>have if if they're gonna have one this month, actually <v Speaker 2>is is gonna be like okay, and Fire Memory make <v Speaker 2>is the last thing that will come out on. <v Speaker 1>The switch I guess it's possible. All right, let's see. <v Speaker 2>Here, Donch Eagle. This one's through you, Tam Eagles or Chiefs. <v Speaker 3>What are you talking about? <v Speaker 1>Eagles or Chiefs? What do you like better? <v Speaker 3>I like eagles. Eagles are pretty cool. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, Egles are pretty dope. I like calling people chief though. <v Speaker 1>That's a good that's. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, I don't. I don't. I <v Speaker 3>don't really call people chief. I like boss. <v Speaker 2>Now you're not an elderly gentleman like myself. It's like really, <v Speaker 2>it really comes like falls into place as you get <v Speaker 2>to be like forty two, forty three, sixty seven. <v Speaker 3>Oh was that was that? Was that an American egg <v Speaker 3>Bowl question? <v Speaker 1>Yes? <v Speaker 2>The super Bowl matchup is the Philadelphia Eagles versus the <v Speaker 2>Kansas City Chiefs. <v Speaker 1>Uh so, Yes, Taylor Swift is in the Super Bowl. <v Speaker 3>Again, which one? Which one is she supporting? <v Speaker 1>She supports the Kansas City Chiefs and her boyfriend. <v Speaker 4>Kennedy definite egos man, you sonic fans the Taylor Swift fans, <v Speaker 4>which I just I. <v Speaker 3>Just everyone needs to relax about Taylor Swift. <v Speaker 2>Okay, this one's also for you from Slay mcgonstain and says, greb, <v Speaker 2>what's your fucking deal. <v Speaker 3>That's my question. <v Speaker 1>What's my deal, Tam? <v Speaker 3>Uh, I like, get buy one, get one free. I <v Speaker 3>think it's probably your favorite deal. <v Speaker 4>That's that's pretty good, uh, Toy Soda, Wonder Woman, tell <v Speaker 4>Tale game with the Last soo of Truth. Sure that <v Speaker 4>kind of that style game could definitely work. <v Speaker 3>L but with the truth. Yeah, everyone like this is <v Speaker 3>the speed run game. <v Speaker 1>Okay? Ali Miracle asks Tam, how's the workout process going? Looking? <v Speaker 1>It's going looking philly looking fly looking fly? <v Speaker 3>I see, Okay, thank you, it's going well. I have <v Speaker 3>been working out pretty much six days a week, altering <v Speaker 3>between waits and cardio and then just cardio days. I <v Speaker 3>also try and go and play basketball on a court <v Speaker 3>for a bit minimum, burning about one thousand and three <v Speaker 3>hundred calories a day. So yeah, just trying to keep <v Speaker 3>it in a consistent I also have been working seeing <v Speaker 3>a personal trainer every now and then, checking in with <v Speaker 3>nutritionists that I know to be like hey can I <v Speaker 3>have this or no? But yeah, I've been doing my best. <v Speaker 3>I'm trying not to die. I got diabetes, so. <v Speaker 1>I think you're doing awesome. <v Speaker 2>Every Instagram, how do I see you in the gym, <v Speaker 2>I'm like hell. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's awesome, so good work. Dam thank you. Jan <v Speaker 1>asks how does tam fuel about Jimmy Butler? Oh boy, how. <v Speaker 3>Much time do we have? First of all, Katie, you <v Speaker 3>could have come home. Yeah, grow up, Just come home, <v Speaker 3>win a chip and then go away. You know what <v Speaker 3>I'm saying. I'm extremely sad that we lost Andrew Wiggins <v Speaker 3>in this trade. Andrew Wiggins I had. I've had the <v Speaker 3>pleasure of meeting a couple of times, just the nicest <v Speaker 3>human being you'll ever ever meet. Like he when he smiles, <v Speaker 3>it like melts your heart. You're like, this guy is <v Speaker 3>so nice. He had a rough rough time last year <v Speaker 3>with the unfortunate sickness and passing off his father. He <v Speaker 3>got a lot of shit for his lack of play <v Speaker 3>that that season, but it's understandable. But we are playing <v Speaker 3>atrociously right now. We cannot hold onto a lead. We <v Speaker 3>keep losing games in the final quarter. The fire is gone. <v Speaker 3>Every NBA team just triples or doubles Steph Curry and <v Speaker 3>that is it. That's the end of it. He hasn't <v Speaker 3>had a comfortable shot in like thirty games at this point. <v Speaker 3>So getting Jimmy Butler in I think if we get <v Speaker 3>Jimmy Butler, who's locked in, we have a real for <v Speaker 3>this season, right, Yeah, I think I'm hoping this season <v Speaker 3>and next season. The thing that is exciting is like <v Speaker 3>he committed to two years, right right, So he's on <v Speaker 3>two years technically remaining. Staph's on two years, Draymond's on <v Speaker 3>two years, and I think Kerr is on a year. <v Speaker 3>So that is a bunch of people that are motivated. <v Speaker 1>I don't want to make it happen now. <v Speaker 3>Make an impact now. And Jimmy is Jimmy, Like he's <v Speaker 3>incredible with playoff Jimmy's legendary. So if we can get <v Speaker 3>to the playoffs, that'll be fantastic. At this point, it's <v Speaker 3>not looking like we'll even make the play inns. But yeah, <v Speaker 3>I'm I Also, I'm very aware of the fact that <v Speaker 3>Jimmy gets up set and when Jimmy gets upset, he <v Speaker 3>starts acting out. Yep, Jimmy was getting upset and you know, <v Speaker 3>he got upset at the Miami Heat and this is <v Speaker 3>now he's unorious. So but he's he's a good he's <v Speaker 3>a good player. It's a fantastic player. So he's he's <v Speaker 3>he is I would say like his ability to read <v Speaker 3>the core is pretty genius. So I'm hoping that he <v Speaker 3>comes in and is and he's like lights a fire <v Speaker 3>under a few asses. He's got the same energy as Draymond, <v Speaker 3>So I'm my only concern is like will they come <v Speaker 3>to blows or will will the locker room culture change <v Speaker 3>in any meaningful way? But I don't know he was <v Speaker 3>He was brought on by a former teammate, which is crazy. <v Speaker 3>Mike dunleyy played with him. <v Speaker 2>And now like that's is mad man? Sports are weird <v Speaker 2>red Wings? Seven games in a row for the second <v Speaker 2>time in a month basically, so I'm doing pretty good. Ah, <v Speaker 2>let's see in this one, asked her the oilers going <v Speaker 2>all the way here? I really think so, So yeah, shout. <v Speaker 3>Re naming yourself oilism man, grow up. <v Speaker 2>I think that's like the one thing they had in <v Speaker 2>Edmonton man back then. Yeah, oil that's it, Okay, And <v Speaker 2>then let's do this last one from Dougman. What are <v Speaker 2>you guys excited about at GB for the year. We <v Speaker 2>had some things in the works as always. I oh, yeah, <v Speaker 2>there's and there's like excitement. We're going to try to <v Speaker 2>like do things that kind of force everybody to work <v Speaker 2>together even more, which I think will only be a positive. <v Speaker 3>Right. Yeah, there's things happening now that are going to <v Speaker 3>be very unexpected for a lot of people. But I <v Speaker 3>think we'll also be things that will make a lot <v Speaker 3>of sense. Yeah, especially the folks that like John Bomb <v Speaker 3>And yeah, it should. It's a little bit of experimentation, <v Speaker 3>a little bit of like reading the room and a <v Speaker 3>little bit of looking around around us to see what <v Speaker 3>other people are doing, and trying to put it together <v Speaker 3>into something that's a little more exciting and and you know, <v Speaker 3>we're gonna ramp up and hopefully grow it from there. <v Speaker 3>And yeah, yeah, that would be it if you if <v Speaker 3>you like this show where yes, everyone away creating a <v Speaker 3>pickleball league. <v Speaker 1>Man, we should we probably should. <v Speaker 3>I definitely think that we should. I have been thinking <v Speaker 3>about GB sports for a really long time. But we <v Speaker 3>just played a series of different sports and see what <v Speaker 3>the hell happens? <v Speaker 2>Yep, that would be fantastic. Acid Net Is GB ever <v Speaker 2>going to do anything in New Jersey? Not allowed back <v Speaker 2>there anymore? <v Speaker 1>All right, pol. <v Speaker 2>Is, let's see this one's from yesterday. What do you <v Speaker 2>want most from a new Castlevania? A new two D Castlevania? <v Speaker 2>Or a new three D trip a blockbuster, and sixty <v Speaker 2>seven percent said they. <v Speaker 1>Want a new two D Castlevania. <v Speaker 2>Now, I think part of that is that's the thing <v Speaker 2>you trust the most, Like that's the thing that you <v Speaker 2>think they can actually deliver and like do right by Castlevania. <v Speaker 2>But I mean, I think a Casylvania Soulsborn game could <v Speaker 2>work from Konami. <v Speaker 3>Even it's not gonna work, I. <v Speaker 4>Think it could work. No one would you know, tam <v Speaker 4>about Salsborn games, Soulisburne games. <v Speaker 3>Nothing. I feel like the two D approaches is the <v Speaker 3>smartest starting point before going into the three D one again, <v Speaker 3>you know Mercury's team. I'm playing all the Castle video <v Speaker 3>games currently simultaneously. It seems I'm playing like Portrait of <v Speaker 3>Ruin on on on my ambinic device, and I'm also <v Speaker 3>playing I think Ari of Sorrow. I'm playing on the <v Speaker 3>the collection on switch, which is those games are good, man, <v Speaker 3>I'm doing that. I'm playing a what I think of <v Speaker 3>as a nuzzlock run of Castle Vania, where every time <v Speaker 3>I encounter a new enemy, I'm not allowed to progress <v Speaker 3>until I get that enemy's soul. Ohay, is it tests <v Speaker 3>your patience to say that like people just going back <v Speaker 3>and forth in between rooms to respoil them and killing <v Speaker 3>them and trying to. <v Speaker 1>Get random people who don't know. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, but it's I was thinking about <v Speaker 3>actually streaming it because it's driving me so mad. <v Speaker 1>That people would love. <v Speaker 3>Back and forth. I'll give where it's this fucking thing. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, people love that to watch the streamers. <v Speaker 3>Dominas collection is on PC right. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, every it's everywhere I think collection. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, maybe I'll maybe I'll stream that. <v Speaker 1>That would be that would be excellent. <v Speaker 2>Uh all right, let's see her new pole question, or <v Speaker 2>actually before we get a new pole question, Tam, what <v Speaker 2>do you have going on? <v Speaker 1>Where can people find you on the internet? All that <v Speaker 1>good stuff? <v Speaker 3>You can find me out to more H everywhere, Twitch <v Speaker 3>the horrifying you know, must platform, which I try to <v Speaker 3>use as little as possible. I'm to more H dot <v Speaker 3>com on Blue Sky, which I try and use more Instagram. <v Speaker 3>Please follow me there. I'm trying to do some sneaky <v Speaker 3>ship with don't worry about it, just follow me. Just <v Speaker 3>everyone follow I need to pump up those numbers for <v Speaker 3>reasons that are important to my life. <v Speaker 1>Uh. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, we've got what we've got going on? What is <v Speaker 3>my TikTok demolition, Tam. We have UPF today, do we <v Speaker 3>have a Yeah. <v Speaker 4>We're gonna do a Monster Hunter on UPF today. We're <v Speaker 4>going to do the Beta pole. <v Speaker 3>Bomb cast is happening. <v Speaker 1>BombCast is happening, Yes, because. <v Speaker 3>I Show Speed got fucking destroyed. <v Speaker 1>It was beautiful thing. <v Speaker 3>I really like I Show Speed. I know when I <v Speaker 3>initially started looking at watching I Show Speed, he seemed <v Speaker 3>like a really annoying one of those shoeople. But it <v Speaker 3>seems like he's he's kind of mellowed out and and <v Speaker 3>and become a more entertaining and well balanced person. You know, <v Speaker 3>he's a he's a good lad and we're seeing him <v Speaker 3>just get wrecked on the stage in the Royal m <v Speaker 3>But was very funny, all. <v Speaker 2>Right, New Paul question take two said g TA six <v Speaker 2>is still coming this fall. Do you think it will <v Speaker 2>launch in that window? <v Speaker 1>Yes or no. We'll get the results of that. <v Speaker 2>On Game as Mornings on Giant Bomb on Monday, speaking <v Speaker 2>a Giant Bomb. As Tamp pointed out, we'll have a <v Speaker 2>power Bomb cast happening. We will have a UPF happening. <v Speaker 2>I'm gonna go get Monster Hunter working right now. Actually, <v Speaker 2>I might also yes, I might go play this game <v Speaker 2>called a game about digging a hole, which I have <v Speaker 2>no idea what it's about. So I'm gonna go download <v Speaker 2>it now and find out for myself. <v Speaker 3>Dan, don't stream snatch a. <v Speaker 1>Stream? <v Speaker 3>You know, you know that's a big reading game, right, Uh, <v Speaker 3>you know. <v Speaker 1>Don't tell I want him to I want him to <v Speaker 1>play Stature. <v Speaker 3>It's a huge reading game. <v Speaker 1>But it's it's koja words, you know. <v Speaker 2>Like who was just saying they wouldn't know? I think <v Speaker 2>Jam was saying he wants to play police k notts. <v Speaker 2>You guys are just in a mood right now. <v Speaker 3>Should we just do it? Like at we should just <v Speaker 3>turn this into a series called it the Reading Game series. <v Speaker 1>Reading Reading Gamebo does that work? <v Speaker 3>Reading read? <v Speaker 2>All right, let's get out of here. We need to <v Speaker 2>start the weekend tomorrow. Say thank you so much for <v Speaker 2>hanging out with me and talk about video games. Man, <v Speaker 2>I really appreciate it. <v Speaker 3>Thank you for having me as always.
