<v Speaker 1>This is WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre and you're listening to <v Speaker 1>the WWE podcast show. <v Speaker 2>The one that everybody wants me. <v Speaker 3>God tell you I'll stand three sixteen, So just we. <v Speaker 4>Your ass is my. <v Speaker 1>Yn you can acknowledge me. <v Speaker 2>Hey, guys, welcome to the WWE Podcast. <v Speaker 4>Yes, it's Wednesday, February twelfth, twenty twenty five day late, <v Speaker 4>hopefully not a dollar short with this review from an <v Speaker 4>A Night Raw. I know him all happened nearly two <v Speaker 4>days ago now, but I'm getting my head screwed back <v Speaker 4>on straight with coming back from my vacation, so forgive <v Speaker 4>me for this being a little bit late. We'll get <v Speaker 4>through Raw here, maybe a bit of an abbreviated version, <v Speaker 4>but we'll get through it. We'll be back on track <v Speaker 4>this week with all the regular shows and then as <v Speaker 4>we look towards Elimination Chamber just a couple of weeks away. <v Speaker 4>Two weeks from this Saturday is Elimination Chamber from Toronto, <v Speaker 4>so there's a lot to discuss here as we get <v Speaker 4>through the next couple of weeks, which will be the <v Speaker 4>final pl before WrestleMania, and then there's like an eight <v Speaker 4>week gap. It it's just crazy. So we're gonna go <v Speaker 4>through raw here in just a minute, but I want <v Speaker 4>to give a shout out to our newest patrons, Reese <v Speaker 4>or I think it's how you pronounce it, Reese L. <v Speaker 4>Thank you for becoming a patron, and I think might <v Speaker 4>I thought there was more, I guess not. All right, Well, <v Speaker 4>there's there's one shot out for Reese who became a <v Speaker 4>member of our NXT plus level, which means they get <v Speaker 4>access to the after Dark show, which is exclusive to <v Speaker 4>those on the NXT plus and above. They also get <v Speaker 4>everything ad free and a Patreon or excuse me, our <v Speaker 4>Discord server that's also exclusive to all patrons as well. <v Speaker 4>So cool, let's job jive or dive right in to <v Speaker 4>Monday Night Raw and let's start from the top. So <v Speaker 4>we had jay Us so as always shown in the <v Speaker 4>concourse because that's how he walks to the ring. Now <v Speaker 4>all on the shield, I guess, but he comes to <v Speaker 4>the crowd and Pat McAfee checked in on commentary and <v Speaker 4>jay Us found a young fan and pumped his arms <v Speaker 4>with him, and Jay hopped the ring side barricade slap <v Speaker 4>fan hands with a broadcast team and then world everyweight <v Speaker 4>Champion Gunther showed up O don't know where trip Jay <v Speaker 4>on the broadcast table. <v Speaker 2>He fought back. <v Speaker 4>Gunther fought back to him and drilled him with a chop. <v Speaker 4>Gunner then got Jay in the ring. Security showed up <v Speaker 4>gun Through powerbombed Jane in the middle of the ring, <v Speaker 4>and then he left and we had Jay essentially get <v Speaker 4>trashed by Gunther. Jay said maybe he shouldn't say what <v Speaker 4>he's about to say me and you at WrestleMania, Jay said, <v Speaker 4>and then gun Through returned to the ring. Apron Security <v Speaker 4>pulled gun Through to the floor and then Jay hit <v Speaker 4>him with a suicide dive. So this to me was <v Speaker 4>short but effective. We had Gunther come out and attacked <v Speaker 4>the baby face from behind, and then we had Jay <v Speaker 4>USO essentially say okay your mind at WrestleMania, which I <v Speaker 4>think most of us thought was going to happen anyway. <v Speaker 4>I didn't think there was anybody who was on the <v Speaker 4>on board with Jay versus Cody. That doesn't make a <v Speaker 4>whole lot of sense. But they had to tease it <v Speaker 4>for at least a week with Jay going to smack down. <v Speaker 4>But we had Jay choose gun the officially, so it's <v Speaker 4>no more rumor, no more maybe TNA Championship. None of that, right, <v Speaker 4>So Joe Hendry not an option, Cody Roads not an option. <v Speaker 4>It's now Gunther and Jay at WrestleMania for the World <v Speaker 4>Heavyweight Championship. You can pretty much bank on Night one. <v Speaker 4>It's pretty much lock it up, throw it away. The <v Speaker 4>key Night one main event Jay versus gun There for <v Speaker 4>the World Heavyweight Championship, and Night two will be Cody <v Speaker 4>versus whoever wins the elimination Chamber, and we'll see who <v Speaker 4>that person is. Perhaps it's Drue, perhaps it's Punk, Perhaps <v Speaker 4>it's Rollins, although I doubt Rollins given the fact that <v Speaker 4>it's going to be Roman Reigns who likely screws Rollins <v Speaker 4>in the chamber somehow. So there are some options here. <v Speaker 4>We don't have the full list of those in the <v Speaker 4>elimination chamber yet, but as expected, the winner of the <v Speaker 4>Elimination Chamber will face Cody for the WWE Undisputed Championship <v Speaker 4>at WrestleMania in the Night two main event. I mean, <v Speaker 4>I don't think I'm giving away any state secrets here <v Speaker 4>by saying what the Night one Night two main events <v Speaker 4>are outside of some insane returns and you know, like <v Speaker 4>the Rock or Austin, which aren't gonna happen, especially Austin <v Speaker 4>or brock Lessner, which is almost a zero percent chance <v Speaker 4>outside of some insane fantasy matchup. It's those two, which <v Speaker 4>I would say a ninety nine percent chance for both <v Speaker 4>main eventing Night one and Night two. I will still <v Speaker 4>say Jay versus Gun through main eventing WrestleMania Night one. <v Speaker 2>I just don't. <v Speaker 4>I don't feel it, and it's not one of those <v Speaker 4>second guests you know, fans where the night after, you know, <v Speaker 4>Monday morning quarterbacking. <v Speaker 2>That's not what I'm doing. <v Speaker 4>I wasn't on board for Jay winning only because it <v Speaker 4>didn't I know the fans were behind him, but not <v Speaker 4>Just because the fans are behind him doesn't mean they <v Speaker 4>have to make him the main event of WrestleMania. I <v Speaker 4>don't dislike Jay. I think his character is solid. I <v Speaker 4>don't know where people are thinking that he's good on <v Speaker 4>the mic. I don't think Jay Uso is good on <v Speaker 4>the mic. I can't understand his words half the time. <v Speaker 4>I think he's okay, too good at times, but he's <v Speaker 4>not made for a long form promo. Not that he <v Speaker 4>needs to be, but he's not. I don't think He's <v Speaker 4>good in the sense that he can cut a good <v Speaker 4>wrestling promo. He's just good in short burst with his <v Speaker 4>phrases and half understood sentences that to me, and he's effective. <v Speaker 4>He's got a lot of energy. I'm not saying he <v Speaker 4>doesn't deserve this, given the fact that he's been here <v Speaker 4>for so long and that he hasn't really put the <v Speaker 4>company under any fire doing anything crazy outside of wrestling, <v Speaker 4>or you know, he's been here for how long multi time, <v Speaker 4>we're a tag team champion and a continental champion. But <v Speaker 4>I just I don't know it does I look at <v Speaker 4>this and I go, there's no way this is a <v Speaker 4>Wrestlemdiam Maine event. You know, if you had told me <v Speaker 4>six months ago, I'd be like, eh, that's a main <v Speaker 4>event of Raw, of which, by the way, it was <v Speaker 4>okay at one point, and then you had a main <v Speaker 4>event of a ple fine, okay, but you know, gut <v Speaker 4>there's gonna win, and he did. And then it's just <v Speaker 4>crazy to me that they're putting this back as the <v Speaker 4>WrestleMania Maine event. We've already seen this, and it's not <v Speaker 4>like we have already seen this, you know, all a <v Speaker 4>year ago that would feel kind of fresh. It was <v Speaker 4>like two months ago, and now we're supposed to get <v Speaker 4>excited about a match again that we've seen. This is <v Speaker 4>a crazy choice for me. That's why I didn't pick Jayuso. <v Speaker 4>Not because he doesn't have fan support, not because I <v Speaker 4>don't think he has a good character, not because even <v Speaker 4>his promos are okay to good at times, just that <v Speaker 4>it doesn't seem to make sense. I mean outside of <v Speaker 4>the idea that, okay, he fits the bill, and he does, <v Speaker 4>but there's an intangible that isn't there. It's maybe star power, <v Speaker 4>I'm not sure. It just doesn't feel like your typical <v Speaker 4>WrestleMania main event where they've been building to this match <v Speaker 4>and Jay's been on his path, Gouther's been on his path, <v Speaker 4>Gother's been unstoppable for a year. No, it's a little <v Speaker 4>it's kind of weird. Now their match isn't for another <v Speaker 4>my god, two months, like nine weeks from now, ten <v Speaker 4>weeks from now until WrestleMania. Okay, there's a lot of <v Speaker 4>television to go between now and then, and maybe they'll <v Speaker 4>get me more excited, But for a match I just <v Speaker 4>saw where Gunther beat him handily, I don't know. <v Speaker 2>I'm not feeling it. <v Speaker 4>I'm not like, I'll watch it and I'll I mean, <v Speaker 4>I don't want Gunher to lose, though. I think Gunther's <v Speaker 4>got more in him his run if it gets if <v Speaker 4>he loses to Jay, Gunther's run to me will feel incomplete. <v Speaker 4>It'll feel like there's way more than Gunther could have done. <v Speaker 4>Gunther has been I mean, when's last time Guntherer even <v Speaker 4>had a match on Raw? Gunthertern never has matches on Raw. <v Speaker 4>He's just he'll show up, he'll cut a promo, he'll <v Speaker 4>attack somebody, or I mean, it just feels like Gunther's <v Speaker 4>a semi absent champion in a way. Now Roman Reigns <v Speaker 4>redefined what it meant to be an absentee champion, But <v Speaker 4>with Gunther, it just feels like he hasn't gotten fully <v Speaker 4>the run that he deserves before he decides to hand <v Speaker 4>it to Jay and let him run with the ball. <v Speaker 4>So it sounds like I'm hit trashing on Jay. Not Okay, <v Speaker 4>this isn't me and Cody Rhodes. Okay, this is not <v Speaker 4>a character I despise, But I don't know that's how <v Speaker 4>I feel. If you guys disagree with me, cool, I <v Speaker 4>just in your Heart of Hearts. You know that I'm <v Speaker 4>right that this doesn't look like a WrestleMania main event, <v Speaker 4>and we've just seen the match, so it takes a <v Speaker 4>lot of the steam out of it. We just saw <v Speaker 4>this where the baby Face lost clean, so okay, fine, <v Speaker 4>even if he overcomes Gunther, it's not that exciting. I'm sorry, <v Speaker 4>it's not that exciting, and you know they're probably gonna <v Speaker 4>do it. It just it feels like, oh, we went <v Speaker 4>to it, and guess what we're gonna go back to <v Speaker 4>in a couple of months. <v Speaker 2>I don't know. All right, let's go on. <v Speaker 4>So we have the official again wrestle Media made events here, <v Speaker 4>So then we got backstage rear Ripley interviewed by Kathy Kelly. <v Speaker 4>Ripley said she would deal with Live Morgan she makes <v Speaker 4>it to WrestleMania, and then grumbled about Charlotte Flair making <v Speaker 4>everyone wait for her Wrestlemanian decision and Live In Raquel <v Speaker 4>made their entrance here to face eo and Dakota Kai, <v Speaker 4>and this match ended up being fifteen minutes crazy. I <v Speaker 4>thought it was a really good match. It ended with <v Speaker 4>Eoski and Dakota Kai beating liv Morgan in Raquel Rodriguez, <v Speaker 4>and the finish was Kai hitting her big corner kick <v Speaker 4>on Rodriguez. Morgan put Kai down with a code breaker, <v Speaker 4>Sky rolled up Morgan for a two count live. Morgan <v Speaker 4>came back with the roll up of her own, but <v Speaker 4>Sky rolled through and double stomped her, and Sky went <v Speaker 4>up top to hit the over the Moon Salt and <v Speaker 4>got the victory. <v Speaker 2>So a good match. <v Speaker 4>This I think is good for both EO Sky and <v Speaker 4>Dakota Kai, who needs some momentum here. Eoski, who many <v Speaker 4>picked to even win the women's were all rumble, Dakota Kai, <v Speaker 4>who has been largely absent and invisible since program with <v Speaker 4>Bailey last year, and this was fine. <v Speaker 2>If they are going to. <v Speaker 4>Be in contention for the women's Tag Team Championships, then <v Speaker 4>so be it. I mean, once again, you notice the <v Speaker 4>Women's Tag Team Championships have been essentially forgotten along with <v Speaker 4>the US champion shins kin A Kamura. I just saw <v Speaker 4>a stat that shinsky A Kamura hasn't defended his United <v Speaker 4>States Championship in seventy three days other than a dark match. <v Speaker 4>That was a dark match seventy three days. What is <v Speaker 4>it with them putting the belt on shinsk and then <v Speaker 4>they put him, you know, essentially underground and hide him. <v Speaker 4>They did hit that with him when he was Intercontinental <v Speaker 4>champion a couple of years ago, and they're doing again <v Speaker 4>with him as the United States champion. He just gets <v Speaker 4>a belt. He actually altered his character to be a <v Speaker 4>little darker. His music's a little altered as well. He <v Speaker 4>comes back, he assaults La Knight, we're off to the races, <v Speaker 4>becomes us champion, and then they're like, okay, well we'll <v Speaker 4>see you later. How does that work? How does La <v Speaker 4>Knight get more TV time then the guy that just <v Speaker 4>took the belt from him. I'm not against Elle Knight <v Speaker 4>at all. I enjoy the hell out of Ella Knight's character, <v Speaker 4>but my god, shinzkt Huckamburro. <v Speaker 2>Just goes away. <v Speaker 4>I'm not understanding a talent like this who is aging <v Speaker 4>like we all are, and has more days behind him <v Speaker 4>than in front of him. How do we just do <v Speaker 4>this every time Shin's gay becomes champion. It was a <v Speaker 4>way to just get La Knight, get the belt off <v Speaker 4>of Ella Knight, but have no real plans for the <v Speaker 4>person that's taking it. <v Speaker 2>I don't know. <v Speaker 4>It's a pattern with Shin's key and I'm not I'm <v Speaker 4>not a fan really, all right, So what do we <v Speaker 4>have next? We have shots of Bailey and Lyra and <v Speaker 4>Cole hyped up the premiere of WWE on Sunday for <v Speaker 4>A and E. And oh, by the way, Gunther throwing <v Speaker 4>the T shirt at the kid. If you haven't seen that, <v Speaker 4>I mean, my god, go see it. Gunther threw his <v Speaker 4>T shirt and we had Pat McAfee duck perfectly and <v Speaker 4>it had hit a kid behind him. <v Speaker 2>Oh my gosh. <v Speaker 4>All right, so we had George Kittle in the crowd <v Speaker 4>from the San Francisco forty nine ers tight end, and <v Speaker 4>then we had Lyra Valkyria, the Women's at ore candinental <v Speaker 4>champion versus Bailey. This is for an elimination chamber qualifier. <v Speaker 4>This match went twelve minutes and fifteen seconds with Bailey winning. <v Speaker 4>Now here's the finish. Lyra gets up to the ropes. <v Speaker 4>She gets cut off by Bailey, who had an avalanche. <v Speaker 4>Bailey to belly blocked. Valkyria picked up a couple of <v Speaker 4>near falls on Bailey, who then tossed Valkyria aggressively into <v Speaker 4>the ropes. Belly went for the rose plant and Valkyria <v Speaker 4>avoided it and tried to roll Bailey into a but <v Speaker 4>Bailey hooked Valkyria on the mat and got the free count. <v Speaker 4>So this was I mean, I like the fact that <v Speaker 4>they're given the women longer matches. Like I said, we <v Speaker 4>just had a fifteen minute women's match, now a twelve <v Speaker 4>minute women's match. This is good if you want women <v Speaker 4>to get more minutes, and I'm a fan of that <v Speaker 4>because I don't think that they often get enough minutes, <v Speaker 4>especially for the fact that they now have two additional <v Speaker 4>championships that they're trying to create some value for some <v Speaker 4>equity in and this match was. While the minutes were good, <v Speaker 4>it was a bit clunky, especially the finish with their <v Speaker 4>roll ups kind of weird, but it was okay, and <v Speaker 4>Bailey getting the victory is a bit surprising given the <v Speaker 4>fact that Lyra just won the Intercontinental Championship once again. <v Speaker 4>Same here with the Women's ice Belt. They have her <v Speaker 4>become champion and then it's like, okay, she's in an <v Speaker 4>elimination chamber of qualifier. She loses, which is on a <v Speaker 4>weird Now it's weird in the sense that she just <v Speaker 4>won the belt and she's now losing matches, and you <v Speaker 4>want to prop up your IC champion. <v Speaker 2>But two things. <v Speaker 4>One you lost to Bailey and there's no shame in that. <v Speaker 4>Two her in the elimination chamber, meaning Lyra in the <v Speaker 4>elimination chamber match doesn't make a ton of sense because <v Speaker 4>she'll be then chasing a belt that she doesn't have <v Speaker 4>and she's already got one and they're not going to <v Speaker 4>make her a double champion. So she's automatically, even if <v Speaker 4>she's in the elimination chamber match, just completely disregarded as <v Speaker 4>a possible winner, I mean zero percent, because she's already <v Speaker 4>Intercontinental champion. So that's the couple of reasons. And again <v Speaker 4>losing to Bailey is there's no shame in that. So <v Speaker 4>well then we have Penta. He said his Sarah Miado. <v Speaker 2>I don't know what that. <v Speaker 4>Oh that means no fear, that's what that means. Yes, <v Speaker 4>I'm just learning that now as we speak. He spoke <v Speaker 4>how he has no fear of cowards like Ludwig Kaiser <v Speaker 4>and Pete Done, who attacked him from behind. Kaiser was <v Speaker 4>then interviewed backstage by Jackie Redmond and Kaiser spoke briefly <v Speaker 4>about Penta, but Pete Dunn interrupted him, and Dunn said <v Speaker 4>he wasn't trying to help Kaiser last week and never <v Speaker 4>helped someone like him. Kaiser asked if Dunn thought he <v Speaker 4>needed his help, and Dunn spoke about facing Penta next week. <v Speaker 4>Kaiser said Penta is all his and done, told Kaiser <v Speaker 4>to stay out of his business business and walked away. <v Speaker 4>Kaiser smirked, turned in locked eyes with AJ Styles, who <v Speaker 4>briefly with briefly while Cole and Styles appeared after the break. <v Speaker 4>All right, so are we gonna have Ages Styles and Kaiser? Fine, <v Speaker 4>But the way Kaiser's been going, unfortunately, he's just gonna lose. <v Speaker 4>Kaiser was on a roll for a small amount of time, <v Speaker 4>for literally a few weeks, and you got some hope, <v Speaker 4>at least I hope that they did more with him, <v Speaker 4>and he's just been losing and losing and losing and losing. <v Speaker 4>So Butt's go to see AJ Styles and he has <v Speaker 4>a promo here. He said he had deja vu. He <v Speaker 4>said four months earlier, he came in the building with <v Speaker 4>a smile on his face because this was my stomping grounds. <v Speaker 4>He said it was going to get his career back <v Speaker 4>on track. But then he suffered an injury, and Styles <v Speaker 4>said he thought his career was over when he suffered <v Speaker 4>the injury, but he realized he has gas left in <v Speaker 4>the tank and something left to prove. He said it <v Speaker 4>was tough to get back, but so is anything that's <v Speaker 4>worth doing, and he said he has a long to <v Speaker 4>do list and looked at the WrestleMania sign. Dom and <v Speaker 4>Carlito come out, and Dom spoke as they walked to <v Speaker 4>the ring, and he was booed as always, and once <v Speaker 4>in the ring, Dom mentioned something about how things have changed, <v Speaker 4>and yeah, he said that basically the Judgment Day runs raw, <v Speaker 4>which is of course, is just hilarious at this point <v Speaker 4>given they have really fallen in terms of focus of raw, <v Speaker 4>like the focal point of raw, and Styles told Dom <v Speaker 4>He'll always be Raymisterio's punk ass kid. Styles then blocked <v Speaker 4>a punch from Dom and hit a paylot kick on Carlito. <v Speaker 4>He got the better of Styles for the minute, and <v Speaker 4>then he Styles fought back beat up Carlito hit him <v Speaker 4>with a phenomenal forearm as Dom escaped the ring. So <v Speaker 4>we're building, I guess to an AJ Styles versus Kaiser <v Speaker 4>and or AJ Styles versus Dominicant Mysterio program. <v Speaker 2>Which would be fun. <v Speaker 4>I mean, given the fact that Dom is unfortunately a <v Speaker 4>heel that always gets beat all the time, we have <v Speaker 4>aj Styles in there to work with him. If they're <v Speaker 4>going to have a one on one match over the <v Speaker 4>next month or so, fine, I think that's that's a <v Speaker 4>good idea be given given the fact that people may <v Speaker 4>hate his character, Dom that is, but he is damn <v Speaker 4>good in the ring. And I say this wholeheartedly. Dominic <v Speaker 4>Masterio's World champion would be epic dominicant. You know what <v Speaker 4>Dom should do. Win the money in the bank. That's <v Speaker 4>how Dom's gonna win a championship. That's the only way <v Speaker 4>he's gonna win a championship is simply by winning money <v Speaker 4>in the bank. That's what I would do with Dom. <v Speaker 4>He is the perfect candidate to win money in the bank. <v Speaker 4>So that's my vote this year. And then, of course, <v Speaker 4>if you have jay Uso as world Champion and ray <v Speaker 4>Masterio is still on Raw, are dom Asterial still on Raw? <v Speaker 4>You're gonna have jay us So potentially get cashed in <v Speaker 4>on later in the year by Dom. <v Speaker 2>I don't know. Thought here you heard it here first? Okay. <v Speaker 4>We then have Jackie Redman interview Seth. He spoke about <v Speaker 4>his Elimination Chamber qualifier with Finn and well, that'll take <v Speaker 4>place next week. Rowlins played up winning the Elimination Chamber <v Speaker 4>match and then challenging Cody Roads at WrestleMania. Ain't gonna happen, <v Speaker 4>but we all know you're on a clinsion course with Roman, <v Speaker 4>which I love. I just don't want Punk involved, as <v Speaker 4>you heard from me two days ago. Finn then showed <v Speaker 4>up and spoke about the downfall of Rollins. He said <v Speaker 4>everyone saw Rollins lose to Punk on Netflix the Netflix debut, <v Speaker 4>and then lose his mind at the rumble Baller said, <v Speaker 4>Lucky for him, the only thing standing between excuse me, <v Speaker 4>the Elimination Chamber and him is the guy falling apart. <v Speaker 4>Rollin said, he and Balor go back a long way, <v Speaker 4>and they put on a show wherever they meet. <v Speaker 2>I hate that line. I hate that. <v Speaker 4>I don't want I really don't want fan or wrestlers <v Speaker 4>ever talking about putting on a show or stealing the show, <v Speaker 4>as Dovsigo did for twenty years. The reason is that's <v Speaker 4>a byproduct of your work rate, and the fans will <v Speaker 4>decide that. I don't want you telling me how good <v Speaker 4>your match is going to be. Your primary goal is <v Speaker 4>to win. If you have a great match as a <v Speaker 4>byproduct of that, then cool. But that's something that should <v Speaker 4>never be talked about. It's like an actor in the <v Speaker 4>middle of the movie saying, you know, aren't we doing <v Speaker 4>a great job? <v Speaker 2>Here? <v Speaker 4>Are we doing a great job acting? I know, aren't <v Speaker 4>I making you believe? No, like it's a byproduct of <v Speaker 4>what you just should be doing anyway, So I hate that. <v Speaker 2>I and same with. <v Speaker 4>Any of the women's division competitors who are always saying <v Speaker 4>we want to make history. Do history, make history the <v Speaker 4>house down. <v Speaker 2>Stop it. No. <v Speaker 4>That tells me if you're trying to put on a <v Speaker 4>good show, you're not trying to win. Primate winning is secondary. <v Speaker 4>I know that it's is totally over the heads of <v Speaker 4>most of the wrestlers because I'm smarter than all of them. <v Speaker 4>But I I mean that with all sincerity, that I <v Speaker 4>not that I'm smarter, but that I just they don't <v Speaker 4>see the take me out of the moment line that <v Speaker 4>that always produces. Okay, anyway, but ROY mean, I love Rollins, <v Speaker 4>I love balor nothing against those guys. It's just the <v Speaker 4>line that I hear constantly, and it's just you shouldn't <v Speaker 4>be saying that. So anyway, Balor said, lucky for him. <v Speaker 2>I said that. <v Speaker 4>We have Rollin saying that Balor is standing in his <v Speaker 4>way now, but. <v Speaker 2>He won't be standing after next week. <v Speaker 4>Logan Paul was shown backstage. Red Mysterio was shown warming <v Speaker 4>up in his room for their match later in the <v Speaker 4>night and qualifier that is. And then we have general <v Speaker 4>manager Adam Pierce giving AJ Styles a match with Dominic <v Speaker 4>that's going to be hell next week. Adam Pierce left, <v Speaker 4>and then a cowboy hat wearing bron Breaker enters and <v Speaker 4>went face to face with Styles and he said, I'll <v Speaker 4>see around. So AJ Styles now has three potential opponents <v Speaker 4>lined up, one of them for sure next week with Dom, <v Speaker 4>but we have Kaiser Dom and bron Breaker who could <v Speaker 4>potentially be working with AJ. I love all of this. <v Speaker 4>I love all of it. All of these are fresh matchups. <v Speaker 4>All of these are going to be really good to great. <v Speaker 4>Given you know that AJ Styles is involved. Say with <v Speaker 4>bron Breaker, right, I enjoy the hell out of his intensity. <v Speaker 4>So see, as a fan, we can talk about how <v Speaker 4>great the matches are going to be. As a wrestler. <v Speaker 4>You should be focused on e fing winning and that's <v Speaker 4>what you talk about, what winning means and what losing <v Speaker 4>will mean. Okay, so we have the war Raiders Eric <v Speaker 4>Ivar versus Julius Creed and Brutus Creeb with Ivan Isle <v Speaker 4>for the war Old tag team titles. This match went <v Speaker 4>twelve minutes and twenty five seconds with the war Raiders winning. <v Speaker 4>And the way that they won though, is the war <v Speaker 4>Raiders setting up for the war Machine finish on Brutus. <v Speaker 4>But Julius hit Ivar with one of the tag team <v Speaker 4>titles and was disqualified. I love that there's not enough <v Speaker 4>belt shots anymore. I know that the head shots have <v Speaker 4>been banned, and if there's no safe way to do it, <v Speaker 4>then they should be. But boy, I wish there was <v Speaker 4>a safe way to do head shots. I know it's <v Speaker 4>impossible unless it's like completely you know, it's like aluminum foil, right, <v Speaker 4>But I do miss belt shots to the head, so <v Speaker 4>that's a nice thing. We don't see that as much <v Speaker 4>as we should sometimes. But having Julius hit Ivar with <v Speaker 4>the tag team title belt was a good finish. This <v Speaker 4>is a dequ finish. I'm not going to complain about <v Speaker 4>dequ finishes over the years, I think been overused. You've <v Speaker 4>heard me talk about on the show and other shows. <v Speaker 4>I'm sure you listen to. DQ finishes are often a <v Speaker 4>crutch for not committing to a storyline, so you have <v Speaker 4>a DQ finish as kind of a crutch. But in <v Speaker 4>this case it makes sense because it sets up a rematch. <v Speaker 4>They have a claim to get a rematch, and they <v Speaker 4>work really well together, and quite frankly, there's not a <v Speaker 4>lot of teams in the men's division as tag teams, <v Speaker 4>same with the women that are really in contention or <v Speaker 4>makes sense to challenge for the world tag team titles <v Speaker 4>on Raw. All right backstage, Finn enters the clubhouse where <v Speaker 4>live Dom and Carloto and everybody else is there. Balor <v Speaker 4>said they should listen to him. Dom spoke about how <v Speaker 4>things are looking up, and Dom and Balor bickered together, <v Speaker 4>and Dom mentioned the idea of introducing a new member. <v Speaker 4>They've been shorthanded since Jad got hurt, and Balor blamed <v Speaker 4>Dom for McDonald's injury. Morgan defended Dom. Balor spoke about <v Speaker 4>winning the Illumination Chamber and becoming World Champion of WrestleMania. <v Speaker 4>Boy First of all, Live, Morgan has an ugly cut <v Speaker 4>above her eye. I mean, just that was she put <v Speaker 4>pictures of it on Instagram. Brutal, not fake real, that <v Speaker 4>was a yikes. I mean, she got stitched up and <v Speaker 4>she's fine, but it's a nice, brutal little cut on Live. <v Speaker 2>All right. <v Speaker 4>Backstage, Rhea approached EO and Dakota and said she doesn't <v Speaker 4>owe Sky anything. She says she wasn't giving Sky a <v Speaker 4>title shot because she had to. She was giving her <v Speaker 4>a shot because she wants to. And Ripley said the <v Speaker 4>match will be held on Raw after the Chamber, and <v Speaker 4>Sky said she can't wait. Okay, that tells me there's <v Speaker 4>no women's championship match, which is fine. At the Chamber, <v Speaker 4>it makes sense. There's probably gonna be four matches, just <v Speaker 4>like at the Rumble. The women will open the show <v Speaker 4>with their Chamber two matches in between, and then the <v Speaker 4>men's Chamber match will close the show, likely with the <v Speaker 4>returning Roman Reigns to screw South rollins. All right, we <v Speaker 4>then have Punk stand in the ring, and he said <v Speaker 4>two weeks ago he would have spoken with great confidence <v Speaker 4>about winning the Rumble. He said that he did, in <v Speaker 4>fact speak with confidence about winning the Rumble, but sometimes <v Speaker 4>he talks too much. He's disappointed he didn't win, but <v Speaker 4>he's not disappointed that Jay one. He spoke about the <v Speaker 4>elimination Chamber being his path to the championship match with <v Speaker 4>Cody and Punk brought up John Cena, stating he would <v Speaker 4>enter the chamber rather than qualify for the match. He <v Speaker 4>said he's no longer upset because Sina deserves to call <v Speaker 4>his shot, but at some point he's going to cross <v Speaker 4>paths with him during the chamber and said he will <v Speaker 4>beat the crap out of him and added he's coming <v Speaker 4>for Cody. He spoke about facing Drew in the chamber <v Speaker 4>and said he doesn't like to name drop Seth Rollins, <v Speaker 4>but he's also in the match. He said it doesn't <v Speaker 4>matter who else is in there, He's going to win. <v Speaker 4>And he said wrestleming he belongs to him. But then <v Speaker 4>we get Logan Paul come out and he said he <v Speaker 4>can see what they call him Punk and can think <v Speaker 4>of a few other names for him. And we have <v Speaker 4>Paul question why fans cheer Punk and boo him, and <v Speaker 4>Punk recalled eliminating, eliminating, I'm sorry, Paul recalled eliminating Punk <v Speaker 4>from the Rumble and said that that was the greatest <v Speaker 4>fifteen minutes of fame in Punk's career, and Paul said <v Speaker 4>he has Punk's number. He said, it's time for Raymisterials <v Speaker 4>fifteen minutes of fame. It ended with Punk saying that <v Speaker 4>Paul pulled the number tonight and it's sixty one nine. <v Speaker 4>And Punk said, if Paul is lucky enough to get <v Speaker 4>by Ray, he'll see him in Toronto and put him <v Speaker 4>to sleep. Ray Asterio came out and that's where we <v Speaker 4>get the fourth and final match, the main event here <v Speaker 4>Logan Paul versus Ramisterio and in and in n elimination <v Speaker 4>Chamber qualifying match. By the way, the men that are <v Speaker 4>in the Mensuel Rumble match right now as a recap. <v Speaker 4>I had to just confirm it myself, John Cena see <v Speaker 4>him Punk, Logan Paul Drew McIntyre two more to go, <v Speaker 4>and I love how they tease Punk and Cody a <v Speaker 4>few weeks ago on Raw. That would be a hell <v Speaker 4>of a matchup and hell of a really the match <v Speaker 4>I don't think would be as good as the promos, <v Speaker 4>but still really good. Logan, Paul has no chance of <v Speaker 4>winning this he's here to just put on a show. <v Speaker 4>I think really that so far, out of the four <v Speaker 4>of the six who have been announced, John Cena and <v Speaker 4>Drew McIntyre I think have the most realistic opportunities. <v Speaker 2>Again, we don't know who the other two. <v Speaker 4>For sure are, but with Sena and Drew, those two <v Speaker 4>are realistic. But if John Cena is here to just <v Speaker 4>put everyone over, which which is what it seems like <v Speaker 4>he unfortunately is here to do, then Drew seems the <v Speaker 4>most likely to me, and I think he should win. <v Speaker 4>If it's Drew and Cody Roads at WrestleMania, can I <v Speaker 4>sign up now? Drew and Cody Row would be awesome. <v Speaker 4>I mean, he got transferred to RAW. I'm sorry, Trump's <v Speaker 4>moratus SmackDown, and his first statement was to declare he <v Speaker 4>was here to challenge Cody and he's here to come <v Speaker 4>for the belt. That would be awesome. On top of <v Speaker 4>the fact, again you tease Punk and Cody on RAW <v Speaker 4>several weeks ago with their epic promo together. I mean, <v Speaker 4>there's just so much to do. I don't think Sena <v Speaker 4>and Cody is a good place because Cena versus Cody. <v Speaker 2>Would be a bit of. <v Speaker 4>A challenge for the fans, and if they don't want <v Speaker 4>to turn Cody, and they they have no interest ever <v Speaker 4>in turning Cody Heel, then the fans would be challenged <v Speaker 4>as to who should win this because you have a <v Speaker 4>legend like John Cena, who's in the final, you know, <v Speaker 4>waning days of his career, challenging your guy that everyone <v Speaker 4>wanted last year as champion. I don't think it's going <v Speaker 4>to be John Cena out of these four, I think <v Speaker 4>the one right now then what's most likely is Drew <v Speaker 4>mctyre to win this, I do because you're gonna have <v Speaker 4>maybe Roland Rains come in Seth Rollins will probably be <v Speaker 4>the other competitor after he beats Finn, and then the <v Speaker 4>last one. I don't know yet for sure, but to me, <v Speaker 4>Drew Drew Drew versus Cody, because Drew has been on <v Speaker 4>a damn role for a year now. All right, let's <v Speaker 4>continue with raw here then we'll get some final thoughts, <v Speaker 4>wrap up thoughts. So this match was seventeen minutes and <v Speaker 4>it ended with Logan Paul winning, and the way it <v Speaker 4>was ended was Paul punching Ray with his I guess <v Speaker 4>uh iron supported wrist and then hit him with a <v Speaker 4>pulverizer DDT. So Logan Paul winning here made the right <v Speaker 4>It was the right call, and the match was I <v Speaker 4>think it was good. I know a lot of people <v Speaker 4>had some criticisms about the match, but overall, I think <v Speaker 4>it was really good. I mean, when's the last time <v Speaker 4>Logan Paul made invented raw? I know he's made invented <v Speaker 4>pls before, but Logan Paul being inserted here. He's had <v Speaker 4>what a dozen matches on TV that we've seen, and <v Speaker 4>every single time he's delivered more often than not. This <v Speaker 4>to me is Logan Paul if he's truly in this <v Speaker 4>for the full time. Now and in this long term, <v Speaker 4>Logan Paul is a world champion in the next twelve months, <v Speaker 4>or at least, well, he's already been US champion. Maybe <v Speaker 4>he'd become intercontinental, but I could see Logan Paul winning <v Speaker 4>a world title in the next twelve months. I would <v Speaker 4>even say, dare I say he's a contender to win <v Speaker 4>the twenty twenty six World Rumble. At least he's in <v Speaker 4>the conversation. I mean this year he was, he was <v Speaker 4>in the final. Few made sense. He's a heel, So <v Speaker 4>I like this. I know a lot of people don't <v Speaker 4>like Logan pol on personal level. Yeah, I understand all <v Speaker 4>the personal things, and seemingly what kind of person he <v Speaker 4>is doesn't. <v Speaker 2>Seem to be great. <v Speaker 4>But if he's dedicating himself to this, the sport that <v Speaker 4>we all love, and he's delivering and taking it seriously, <v Speaker 4>we have to respect that. You don't have to respec <v Speaker 4>him on a personal level. That's totally different. You don't <v Speaker 4>have to understand or respect or like everything he's done <v Speaker 4>in his personal life. <v Speaker 2>I certainly don't. <v Speaker 4>But when he comes to just looking at this through <v Speaker 4>a professional lens, what Logan Paul has brought thus far, <v Speaker 4>you have to respect. You don't have a choice. Yes, <v Speaker 4>he may be just slingshotted into the main event, and <v Speaker 4>that's all true well, with seemingly no way that he's <v Speaker 4>really earned it yet. But if he's delivering and he's <v Speaker 4>catching on this quick, and every match he's had has <v Speaker 4>been incredibly good, more than he ever deserves to be <v Speaker 4>at this point, then we have to let it be. <v Speaker 4>I'm sure there are a lot of guys backstage that <v Speaker 4>are extremely in real life resentful of Logan Paul and <v Speaker 4>his position because of the fact that he's been here <v Speaker 4>for five seconds and all of a sudden, he's doing <v Speaker 4>all these things, and he's being put in main events, <v Speaker 4>in title matches, and he hasn't won a world title yet, <v Speaker 4>but he's been US Champion, and he's been US Champion. <v Speaker 4>Him being US Champion is more than a lot of <v Speaker 4>guys will accomplish in their careers in terms of accolades, <v Speaker 4>right in terms of things you put on your resume, <v Speaker 4>which is incredible. I'd be resentful backstage if I was <v Speaker 4>here for ten, twelve, fifteen years and I'm thinking I <v Speaker 4>haven't got my damn shot. But this YouTube star comes <v Speaker 4>in and thinks he's just going to main event. It's like, well, <v Speaker 4>he's delivering, are you? You have to go with what <v Speaker 4>the fans react to with what is here? Comes the trope? <v Speaker 4>Best for business you do and Logan Paul especially, he delivering, <v Speaker 4>which to me is the most important, and he's taking <v Speaker 4>it seriously and he's not injuring anybody, and he's improving <v Speaker 4>week to week on his promos. But he also has <v Speaker 4>a massive YouTube following and that can't be understated. WWE <v Speaker 4>loves to bring in people who have a ton of <v Speaker 4>crossover potential, crossover audience, and Logan Paul's checks that box. <v Speaker 4>I mean, look what they did with I Show Speed <v Speaker 4>got like what one hundred million followers on YouTube or whatever. <v Speaker 4>I see why they brought him in despite the fact <v Speaker 4>he has no business being in there. And I love <v Speaker 4>that bron Breakers split him in half, but that you <v Speaker 4>can't discount that today. And I while I definitely get <v Speaker 4>the resentment that a lot of fans and especially talent <v Speaker 4>backstage probably have for him, you have to you can't <v Speaker 4>love it, or you don't have to love it, but <v Speaker 4>you have to understand it. <v Speaker 2>It's business man. <v Speaker 4>So Logan Paul's in, you can pretty much paint Seth <v Speaker 4>Rollins in as the fifth member and then the final <v Speaker 4>we don't know for sure who that could be. <v Speaker 2>We'll have to find out. Maybe it is Roman Reigns. <v Speaker 4>I don't know, Maybe the Roman is able to compete <v Speaker 4>for the chamber somehow he qualifies or I don't know, <v Speaker 4>but Seth Rawlins in there is number five, who again <v Speaker 4>I don't think has a chance. But these are right <v Speaker 4>now five out of six we can pretty much say <v Speaker 4>we know because there's no way Finn Balor is going <v Speaker 4>to beat Rawlins. So the other thing I want to <v Speaker 4>mention quickly because I didn't get to talk about it <v Speaker 4>on my mailbag. Is the fact that we have seth rawlins. <v Speaker 2>I'm sorry. La Knight. <v Speaker 1>L A. <v Speaker 4>Knight on SmackDown talked about how he wants to take <v Speaker 4>a minute and talk about how, oh, you know, it's <v Speaker 4>okay for men to cry, and it's so I don't <v Speaker 4>know what proposition that or propagated that. <v Speaker 2>I don't know. <v Speaker 4>Maybe he knows someone in his life that maybe committed <v Speaker 4>suicide and that men hold in their emotions because society <v Speaker 4>says we should, and that we need to be stern <v Speaker 4>and emotionless and absorb all these things. I you know, <v Speaker 4>part of me wants to barf ait this only not <v Speaker 4>not because I don't necessarily agree with it's principle that <v Speaker 4>men can't show emotion. And I'm gonna try to stay <v Speaker 4>on task here talking about wrestling. But since Elly Knight <v Speaker 4>literally not just brought it up in some post interview <v Speaker 4>or some podcast, he brought it up on air wallin <v Speaker 4>character on SmackDown, it kind of gives me a platform <v Speaker 4>to talk about it. Maybe I'm missing the origin of <v Speaker 4>why he said this. I'm assuming it's because he knew <v Speaker 4>someone that committed suicide or through association he knew somebody <v Speaker 4>who knew somebody. <v Speaker 2>I don't know, but. <v Speaker 4>I'm not sure what this was. That he wants to <v Speaker 4>be a force of good for change, which is all fine. <v Speaker 4>And again I don't disagree with this message on principle <v Speaker 4>that it's wrong. <v Speaker 2>I don't. <v Speaker 4>I just I don't need to hear this on air. <v Speaker 4>I don't need to hear it in a I don't <v Speaker 4>need to hear it on And this is my personal opinion. Now, <v Speaker 4>if if anyone was to hear this and they were <v Speaker 4>on the verge of, you know, harming themselves, and this <v Speaker 4>saved their lives, well I don't I mean, that's great <v Speaker 4>and I would be fine with it. I'm not saying <v Speaker 4>that this message shouldn't have been said if it even <v Speaker 4>saved one life, But did it I don't know, I mean, <v Speaker 4>or was it him just trying to be a really <v Speaker 4>good guy. I'm not sure, but it was. It was <v Speaker 4>kind of out of place. It's like, hold on, I'm <v Speaker 4>in character. Let me let me cut my character. I'm <v Speaker 4>all about k fabe. I know it's dead today, but boy, <v Speaker 4>if we could ever bring it back, that's what the <v Speaker 4>heart of the business is is making you believe. And <v Speaker 4>when they are in character and then he points to <v Speaker 4>the camera and talks to the camera, goes completely out <v Speaker 4>of character. Again, I don't like that in principle. But <v Speaker 4>the message I don't disagree with. The message itself is saying, oh, <v Speaker 4>if you're a man, this and that in a society, <v Speaker 4>and I don't want to hear thing about toxic masculinity <v Speaker 4>right to me. I mean, you can have toxic masculinity <v Speaker 4>if you can have toxic femininity, which I think there's <v Speaker 4>actually a lot more of. How about that for pissing <v Speaker 4>off some people, but I just do I mean, because <v Speaker 4>feminism is essentially anti man. But it's saying that basically, <v Speaker 4>if you're masculine in any traditional sense, that that's a <v Speaker 4>bad thing, which I don't disagree. I disagree with wholeheartedly. <v Speaker 4>I mean, our species survived and thrived because of men, <v Speaker 4>not that women didn't have a role. I'm not saying that. <v Speaker 4>I don't get I'm trying to get too deep here, <v Speaker 4>but it's just a cultural shift that I think, unfortunately <v Speaker 4>we had to Masculinity of any kind is toxic. It's <v Speaker 4>bad telling boys not to be men, be more like women, <v Speaker 4>be softer, be you know all this, which I don't <v Speaker 4>think is true. <v Speaker 2>I don't. <v Speaker 4>I don't think that's a good message to send because <v Speaker 4>men and women are inherently different. They have different traits. <v Speaker 4>They both have advantages and disadvantages, strengths and weaknesses. And <v Speaker 4>then that's why they go together so well, is because <v Speaker 4>oftentimes they balance each other out. Not saying men are <v Speaker 4>better than women. I'm not saying women are better than men. <v Speaker 4>But I think I see I'm going off the rails. <v Speaker 4>When you have a message like that brought into the forefront, <v Speaker 4>it is a sign of the culture. That's I have <v Speaker 4>no problem with men letting out of motion. But if <v Speaker 4>you saw a man weeping, I mean, I'm sorry, outside <v Speaker 4>of some tragic event, right, like you have a family <v Speaker 4>member die, right, I don't think if I see a <v Speaker 4>man just weeping and it's for a reason, that is <v Speaker 4>not you know, tragic, right. If it's just because I'm <v Speaker 4>so stressed I need to cry and we all get stressed, <v Speaker 4>I don't know if it feels like I just lose <v Speaker 4>a little respect for that person. Again, everyone's going through <v Speaker 4>differ things. I understand that, I am. <v Speaker 2>You are. Everyone listening to this is. <v Speaker 4>But anyway, everybody should just of course do whatever you want, <v Speaker 4>not telling anyone to act anyway that they want. It's <v Speaker 4>just how I personally feel. Men should be men, women <v Speaker 4>should be women. Doesn't mean ones better than the other. <v Speaker 4>I just don't like people trying to feminize men. And <v Speaker 4>it's fine if women want to cry, that's fine. But <v Speaker 4>it's seeing a woman cry and sob is different than <v Speaker 4>seeing a man like a man. <v Speaker 2>Sob It just is. <v Speaker 4>And if you tell me it's not, you're lying. I'm <v Speaker 4>not saying that you feel the same way I do <v Speaker 4>as far as losing a little respect or feeling that <v Speaker 4>person's you know, you never know what someone's going through. <v Speaker 4>And I know people are going to say that, but <v Speaker 4>just objectively, if you saw two people sobbing in front <v Speaker 4>of you, and one's a man, one's a woman, it <v Speaker 4>would feel a little bit out of place that the <v Speaker 4>man is sobbing, right, feels a little more awkward and <v Speaker 4>kind of uncomfortable, you know, it just does. So I'm <v Speaker 4>going I'm gonna get some funny emails on this one. <v Speaker 2>It's gonna be fun, all right. <v Speaker 4>Well, now that I've angered some subset of my audience, <v Speaker 4>I mean, it's just how I feel. Look, guys, you <v Speaker 4>may feel differently, but I want to stress before you <v Speaker 4>guys come at me. I'm woman hating. I've said four <v Speaker 4>times now. Man is not better than a woman. Woman <v Speaker 4>is not better than a man. Okay, but that doesn't <v Speaker 4>mean we're the same. It just means we both deserve <v Speaker 4>the same level of respect. Doesn't mean that we have <v Speaker 4>the same traits or we need to have the same values, <v Speaker 4>which is unfortunately what culture has told us today because <v Speaker 4>of factors I won't get into here, but that men <v Speaker 4>should be softer and it should be okay to just <v Speaker 4>cry anytime you feel like crying. I mean, imagine sitting <v Speaker 4>at your desk at working and just sobbing because you're <v Speaker 4>stressed out and you're a dude. I'm sorry, it's I <v Speaker 4>couldn't do it. Men handle stressed differently than women, but <v Speaker 4>see different, not better. <v Speaker 2>Different. <v Speaker 4>So while I'll have the women on my show who <v Speaker 4>were just like, oh, he hates No, different doesn't mean better. <v Speaker 4>It just means different, that's all it means. And I <v Speaker 4>just don't want men acting like women, and I don't <v Speaker 4>want women acting like men. <v Speaker 2>That's why we are separate. That's it. <v Speaker 4>That's essentially the message at my core, We're at its core. <v Speaker 4>So that I know that came all from Ellen Night's <v Speaker 4>message on SmackDown, but since he brought it up, I <v Speaker 4>wanted to give my two thoughts on it. So all right, Well, <v Speaker 4>if anyone's still listening, I'll end it here and I'll <v Speaker 4>wait those lovely emails if I wanted to respond to <v Speaker 4>your women hating, which is of course preposterous, but anyway, <v Speaker 4>thank you so much everybody for listening. I will be <v Speaker 4>back on Friday with the mail bag. But you'll hear <v Speaker 4>from our NXT host Jay.
