<v Speaker 1>This is WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre, and you're listening to
<v Speaker 1>the WWE podcast show.
<v Speaker 2>The one that everybody wants Met three sixteen.
<v Speaker 3>So I just clipped your ass is my arm?
<v Speaker 1>You can acknowledge me.
<v Speaker 4>Well, we got our first heel promo from John Cena,
<v Speaker 4>the first ever of his career, at least since The
<v Speaker 4>Doctor of Thugonomics. And I know there's a lot of
<v Speaker 4>talk about it. Some of you loved it, some of
<v Speaker 4>you didn't. I thought it was exactly what it needed
<v Speaker 4>to be. It was vicious, It lacked responsibility for his
<v Speaker 4>own actions, blaming the fans for why he did what
<v Speaker 4>he did, even turning those that support him against him.
<v Speaker 4>So those that are half for him at the let's
<v Speaker 4>go see the Seeda sucks those people that support him.
<v Speaker 4>He even got to boo him and he is all in.
<v Speaker 4>So we've got that promo to talk about, which we
<v Speaker 4>will in a moment that did open the show. We
<v Speaker 4>had Cody Rhodes come out. We'll talk about that, of course,
<v Speaker 4>and so much more or less other things that happened unwrong,
<v Speaker 4>including an Intercontinental Championship match where Ripley presumptively enters the
<v Speaker 4>Women's Championship match, to the surprise of absolutely nobody. Beyonce
<v Speaker 4>Belle Air gets booed. We even had a cross body
<v Speaker 4>and a matchup very controversially, which I actually love, by
<v Speaker 4>the way, I love that I'm on the side of
<v Speaker 4>do that stuff more. With jay Uso beating his opponent
<v Speaker 4>Austin theory and why, I think that's a great thing.
<v Speaker 4>I really love that Gunther of course does his weekly
<v Speaker 4>from behind attack. And so we've got a lot to
<v Speaker 4>talk about tonight. No shortage of things as raw has
<v Speaker 4>really heated up now. I don't want to say we're
<v Speaker 4>in the home stretch, but we don't have that much
<v Speaker 4>time left before WrestleMania. If we look at the calendar
<v Speaker 4>and at pulling up right now, we've got one, two, three, four,
<v Speaker 4>four more raws, of course, five more spack downs, but
<v Speaker 4>nine more shows total of the main roster. Anyway, before WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 4>It's not a ton of time. So let's get into
<v Speaker 4>it now. This crowd was hot. This crowd was ultra hot,
<v Speaker 4>as expected in Brussels, Belgium. Forest National really just a
<v Speaker 4>The crowd is great. I have nothing nothing negative to
<v Speaker 4>say about them. They played their part and they played
<v Speaker 4>it well. I also kind of enjoy RAW being on
<v Speaker 4>so early, even though most of us with nine to
<v Speaker 4>five jobs are still at work and usually you don't
<v Speaker 4>watch RAW until you're after dinner. If you got kids,
<v Speaker 4>to put your kids down and then you watch RAW,
<v Speaker 4>or you know, you have a routine. For those overseas,
<v Speaker 4>this is a dream come true. I don't mind it
<v Speaker 4>so much because everything's on delay. You can watch it
<v Speaker 4>your convenience, so I actually prefer it as long as
<v Speaker 4>you stay off social media and all the spoilers and
<v Speaker 4>you do your best to avoid them. I think it's
<v Speaker 4>actually a better thing, even for those of us in
<v Speaker 4>the States, because you can skip through commercials if you'd like.
<v Speaker 4>You don't have to sit through segments you don't want
<v Speaker 4>to watch again. That's I know. You can do that
<v Speaker 4>the day after Raw anyway, But if you want to
<v Speaker 4>watch Raw the day of r instead of the day after,
<v Speaker 4>like I often do, It's something that I enjoyed. But
<v Speaker 4>let's get to it. Let's get to John Cena coming
<v Speaker 4>out and the fans booed loudly. John Cena came out
<v Speaker 4>with his irregular music, his regular jeorts, his T shirt
<v Speaker 4>has never give up. I don't know washcloth, whatever that
<v Speaker 4>thing is. And he didn't do his you know, running
<v Speaker 4>to the ring. He had a slower pace to the ring.
<v Speaker 4>Let's go seeing as seeing a sucks chance and you
<v Speaker 4>sold out chant and he teased picking up the mic
<v Speaker 4>and not picking up the mic and dropping the mic.
<v Speaker 4>That's the one drawback of a crowd. This hot is
<v Speaker 4>for those viewers at home. You're sitting there going come on,
<v Speaker 4>you know, you appreciate the energy and only us, US
<v Speaker 4>crowds can dream of that kind of sustained energy. But
<v Speaker 4>at some point the view he was at home, erre like, okay,
<v Speaker 4>shut up, we want to hear from cita, you know
<v Speaker 4>what I mean. It's just you're almost too good of
<v Speaker 4>a crowd. If there is such a thing where it's like, okay,
<v Speaker 4>we get it. Can you let him talk. We want
<v Speaker 4>to hear what he has to say more than we
<v Speaker 4>need to hear chanting right now and yelling. So that's
<v Speaker 4>the one thing if I was to pick anything from
<v Speaker 4>that crowd, it's that. And that's almost a backhanded complimented
<v Speaker 4>you know so so Sina said, when someone is properly
<v Speaker 4>grounded in life, they shouldn't have to look outside themselves
<v Speaker 4>for approval. Sina said, you're making this so easy for me,
<v Speaker 4>she said, or he said, for twenty five years, I've
<v Speaker 4>been the victim. I've been the victim of an abusive relationship.
<v Speaker 4>And he told the crowd, you've lost your time to talk.
<v Speaker 4>All you do is be hurtful. You're abusive. All you've
<v Speaker 4>ever done is expect me to be your puppet and
<v Speaker 4>do it with a damn smile on my face. And
<v Speaker 4>f you seen a chance started. They did the best
<v Speaker 4>to block it out on Netflix, and this is the
<v Speaker 4>no As much as I love the scene of promo
<v Speaker 4>and I did overall think it was an a promo,
<v Speaker 4>I didn't like him saying the words babyface and heel,
<v Speaker 4>and what he said was, I'm not a babyface, I'm
<v Speaker 4>not a heel. I'm a human being in each and
<v Speaker 4>every one of you has been awful to me. You've
<v Speaker 4>been awful. It's been the same damn noise for twenty
<v Speaker 4>five years. And then he goes through his career when
<v Speaker 4>he hated me, he loved me and all that. So
<v Speaker 4>I could have done without the heel and babyface mentioned
<v Speaker 4>on a actual show. I don't need this being injected.
<v Speaker 4>Now that someone's first said it on TV, that everyone
<v Speaker 4>can now say it, it doesn't make anything more real
<v Speaker 4>for me. Those terms have been known outside the industry
<v Speaker 4>for decades of what those two words mean, but for
<v Speaker 4>them to actually put them on the air broke a seal.
<v Speaker 4>I wasn't a fan of I know that Triple Ah
<v Speaker 4>said it in an opening promo. I think to the rumble,
<v Speaker 4>I might have been this year and I didn't like it.
<v Speaker 4>Then there are some things you just need to keep sacred, okay,
<v Speaker 4>and pretend. I don't like being reminded all the time
<v Speaker 4>of how the watch is made. Just tell me the time.
<v Speaker 4>Weird analogy, but you don't you get my analogy. I
<v Speaker 4>don't need to be shown how things are made all
<v Speaker 4>the time while they're actually being shown to me. Let
<v Speaker 4>me have some fun, let me invest emotionally, and apparently
<v Speaker 4>nothing sacred anymore. So I could have done without the
<v Speaker 4>mention of the words babyface and heel. Didn't make it
<v Speaker 4>more real for me. It just came across like he
<v Speaker 4>was trying to make it more real instead of it
<v Speaker 4>actually being more real, if that makes sense. But again,
<v Speaker 4>small complaints here on an otherwise very very effective, memorable
<v Speaker 4>opener raw and he said that moments of embarrassment, moments
<v Speaker 4>of shame, just like this, you let me know that
<v Speaker 4>I wasn't worthy of your attention. So what would I do?
<v Speaker 4>I went and myself and it worked for a second,
<v Speaker 4>but it wasn't enough. So what did I do? I
<v Speaker 4>worked hard like I always do, and I win and
<v Speaker 4>win and win and win no matter what. Yeah, that
<v Speaker 4>song is in my head, so he said, I won,
<v Speaker 4>and you hated it, but it wasn't enough. So what
<v Speaker 4>did I do? I spent the next ten years of
<v Speaker 4>my life trying to give away everything I possibly could,
<v Speaker 4>and it wasn't enough. Then they continue to say shut
<v Speaker 4>the f up, and he said that I announced my
<v Speaker 4>retirement in a move that's never been done before. I'm
<v Speaker 4>actually walking away at the end of the year. I
<v Speaker 4>tried one last time to get along with you, guys.
<v Speaker 4>I tried on last time to do something nice for you,
<v Speaker 4>and you ruined it, just like you ruin everything. And
<v Speaker 4>he's pointing to people saying, you know, these these idiots
<v Speaker 4>are proving my point. He said that whatever he doesn't
<v Speaker 4>do and does do isn't enough. He said, the fans
<v Speaker 4>only take and take and take, and they only care
<v Speaker 4>about themselves. And he said he put his values on
<v Speaker 4>the line to make a very important choice in my life,
<v Speaker 4>and all the fans could think of is what do
<v Speaker 4>they get? And Seena said, the fans get what they
<v Speaker 4>have earned, and what they've earned is nothing. So I mean,
<v Speaker 4>it's kind of so. What he's saying is you're not
<v Speaker 4>getting new music, you're not getting a new attire, You're
<v Speaker 4>not getting a heel version of me. This is just me.
<v Speaker 4>I kind of appreciate that. While I don't like the
<v Speaker 4>mention of heal and babyface, he could have at least
<v Speaker 4>said good guy or bad guy or you know, good
<v Speaker 4>evil instead of saying the insider terms that are not
<v Speaker 4>really insider anymore. But I appreciate he's actually staying true
<v Speaker 4>to his character despite the fact that he's turned on
<v Speaker 4>the fans. He's claiming he's the same guy and that
<v Speaker 4>we're the ones that are to blame, and that's what
<v Speaker 4>heels do. So I think it's a smart strategy. Even
<v Speaker 4>though it would have been interesting to see what a
<v Speaker 4>physically different John Cena would look like as a heel
<v Speaker 4>from a music perspective and from an attire perspective, but
<v Speaker 4>I also can appreciate the consistency that his character has brought,
<v Speaker 4>the consistency of I'm not changing who I am. You
<v Speaker 4>guys are the ones that are have changed, you know.
<v Speaker 4>I do appreciate that, So it's hard for me to
<v Speaker 4>it's I don't know if it's a complaint. It's more
<v Speaker 4>of an observation really, And also the idea that he's
<v Speaker 4>the victim and he's in an abusive relationship and he
<v Speaker 4>tells us he's breaking up with us even though let's
<v Speaker 4>go see it people. That's great. I mean he's doing
<v Speaker 4>a public breakup, like we're in a relationship with him
<v Speaker 4>and he is publicly breaking up with us. I love
<v Speaker 4>that's that's a that's a nice way to describe what
<v Speaker 4>is going on. And he said that we're pathetic and
<v Speaker 4>said the fans don't wear his clothes for support. They
<v Speaker 4>wear it because it makes them feel good. He even
<v Speaker 4>picked on a kid in the crowd, which was very
<v Speaker 4>interesting funny. He said he lives the words hustle, loyalty,
<v Speaker 4>and respect. He said the fans don't support him, they
<v Speaker 4>use him as an excuse for their pathetic failure of
<v Speaker 4>a life, and that he's been the butt of an
<v Speaker 4>invisible joke for fifteen years and all the fans have
<v Speaker 4>done is sit on their ass and watch him be
<v Speaker 4>great and said it's been a toxic, dysfunctional relationship. He
<v Speaker 4>said he's done with us, and he said they know
<v Speaker 4>he's right and also know that they're wrong. So an
<v Speaker 4>attitude change from John Cena, no doubt a promo that
<v Speaker 4>can It's gonna live in infamy, not just because it
<v Speaker 4>was a really well done executed promo, but because it's
<v Speaker 4>John Cena turning heel hear from him for the first time.
<v Speaker 4>It's a It's a promo that's gonna be It's gonna
<v Speaker 4>be youtubed for decades. Is it gonna be one of
<v Speaker 4>the most shocking moments in w W history. Tom will
<v Speaker 4>tell you know, in six months, don't you wonder when
<v Speaker 4>we look back what his heel run is gonna be? What,
<v Speaker 4>what that what that legacy of his heel run will
<v Speaker 4>do or won't do for him? Are we gonna look
<v Speaker 4>back in six months when it's, uh, what is it
<v Speaker 4>September and we're like, oh my god, he's only got
<v Speaker 4>a couple months left and be saying to ourselves, man,
<v Speaker 4>I'm so glad he turned heel. That was awesome. Isn't
<v Speaker 4>that great? Isn't it awesome what he's done the last
<v Speaker 4>six months since WrestleMania, that was great? Or are we
<v Speaker 4>gonna be saying damn? He should have stayed as a babyface.
<v Speaker 4>He should have just wrote it out, maybe worked with
<v Speaker 4>the Rock again and and uh, you know, maybe one
<v Speaker 4>or didn't win the seven teenth Championship, but had some
<v Speaker 4>fun promos with Cody Rhodes. You don't know. I mean,
<v Speaker 4>time will tell, but I do wonder in six months
<v Speaker 4>what we'll be saying about this whole thing. So Cody
<v Speaker 4>Rhods comes out, crowd went nuts, crowd is totally behind Cody,
<v Speaker 4>and Cody had a shorter but very effective promo. I've
<v Speaker 4>got nothing negative to say about him here. In fact,
<v Speaker 4>it's exactly what Cody needed to deliver. And he said that.
<v Speaker 4>I think everybody was willing to hear you out, even myself,
<v Speaker 4>if I understood correctly from what you just said, They've
<v Speaker 4>given you their worst, Cody said, they've also given you
<v Speaker 4>their best for twenty five years. And Cody said they
<v Speaker 4>did that because Sena couldn't. Cody said, they've also given
<v Speaker 4>Sena their best for twenty five years and said they
<v Speaker 4>did that because Sena couldn't or could carry it. And
<v Speaker 4>then Sina said listen, kid, and that's where Cody cut
<v Speaker 4>him off and he said, enough, certainly, it's not kid,
<v Speaker 4>it's WWE champion. And then he asked who the hell
<v Speaker 4>he is and asked where the guy on his T
<v Speaker 4>shirt is. Cody said he was excited about going face
<v Speaker 4>to face week to week with John Cena, but he
<v Speaker 4>said he got this instead. He said he took his
<v Speaker 4>best shot, but it wasn't good enough and he'll retire
<v Speaker 4>him early. Cody told Sena to go find another version
<v Speaker 4>of the other version of himself because that's who he
<v Speaker 4>wants to face at WrestleMania, not this whiny I would say,
<v Speaker 4>but I can't because it's a PG show, which right, great,
<v Speaker 4>perfect John Cena's expressions. Perfect. I'm glad it didn't end
<v Speaker 4>in a brawl because we can wait for that. It's
<v Speaker 4>not necessarily about the physicality right now, or who takes
<v Speaker 4>what bumps. It's about and behold the story. It's about
<v Speaker 4>more understanding why John did what he did. It's the
<v Speaker 4>promos back and forth that I'm looking forward to the
<v Speaker 4>promo where they go back and forth. We haven't got
<v Speaker 4>that yet. We've heard from Cody multiple times. We had
<v Speaker 4>John give his explanation last night, which was just well done,
<v Speaker 4>and then we had Cody come out and respond just
<v Speaker 4>once to John. John didn't respond in kind. Seeing that
<v Speaker 4>dynamic of the back and forth is the promo I'm
<v Speaker 4>looking most forward to of how they get in each
<v Speaker 4>other's faces and maybe it's a sit down, maybe it's
<v Speaker 4>in ring. I hope it's in ring. So that's going
<v Speaker 4>to be the one I're looking forward to, and sure
<v Speaker 4>physicality can follow. I would hope we don't do pull
<v Speaker 4>apart brawl after pull apart brawl after pull apart brawl,
<v Speaker 4>because we've seen a few dozen of those in the
<v Speaker 4>last two months. I'm done with those. Just there's got
<v Speaker 4>to be another way to build this program. So really good,
<v Speaker 4>just really good. It's it's it's a character that has
<v Speaker 4>finally reached its breaking point. Oh, Corey Graves back on
<v Speaker 4>the mic, back on commentary. He's back, so I would
<v Speaker 4>imagine things are smoothed over at least enough to him
<v Speaker 4>for him to come back to television with the company.
<v Speaker 4>Despite the fact that his wife also bad mouthed the company,
<v Speaker 4>trying to play victim because she's a woman and had
<v Speaker 4>a baby that she got fired from the company, which
<v Speaker 4>of course is just absurd on its face. I mean,
<v Speaker 4>she's she's trying, she's grasping its straws to find some
<v Speaker 4>way to make herself a victim. And then Corey had
<v Speaker 4>a falling out with the company before that, then Carmela,
<v Speaker 4>So perhaps cooler heads prevailed. And I do like Corey
<v Speaker 4>Graves un commentary. He's good. Yeah, I really enjoy him.
<v Speaker 4>I do so I hope he stays on commentary. I
<v Speaker 4>think he adds to the product. He's an asset, is
<v Speaker 4>he Jim Ross? No, nobody is. But I think as
<v Speaker 4>a color guy he's great. He could be even played
<v Speaker 4>by play. He could do anything. He's quick on his feet,
<v Speaker 4>he's got a good voice for commentary. I'm down for it.
<v Speaker 4>So I just wanted to mention Corey Graves. But this
<v Speaker 4>was great, And I also like right now that we
<v Speaker 4>have a crowd willing to go forward with this now.
<v Speaker 4>International crowds don't always speak for the United States North
<v Speaker 4>America crowds. Sometimes we can be at odds, sometimes we
<v Speaker 4>can and I'm fearful that if John Cena gets in
<v Speaker 4>front of a crowd in North America that people are
<v Speaker 4>going to cheer him because finally he's a heel. That's awesome,
<v Speaker 4>let's go. And sometimes that does happen, and I don't
<v Speaker 4>think it will in this case, because people are so
<v Speaker 4>in love with Cody Rhodes that they're willing to turn
<v Speaker 4>their back on John Cena because he turned his back
<v Speaker 4>on them. And then he's trying to play the victim.
<v Speaker 4>He's turned his back on even the people that have
<v Speaker 4>cheered him. He's found a way to get them to
<v Speaker 4>boo him. So I think that I'm fearful or cautiously optimistic.
<v Speaker 4>I'm cautiously optimistic that when we get back to the
<v Speaker 4>States that we're not going to suddenly cheer him because
<v Speaker 4>he's this heel. Now, So where's the Rock? By the way,
<v Speaker 4>he wasn't even mentioned in this promo. That was interesting.
<v Speaker 4>That can come later, I mean, right now, it is
<v Speaker 4>all about why John did what he did, But aligning
<v Speaker 4>with the Rock is also a massive missing piece to
<v Speaker 4>this whole puzzle. We haven't heard or seen the Rock
<v Speaker 4>since his Elimination Chamber appearance with John Cena. I do
<v Speaker 4>hope Travis Scott comes back simply for getting his receipt.
<v Speaker 4>I really truly do so. I hope Travis Scott appears,
<v Speaker 4>if even I'll wait till WrestleMania, but somebody needs to
<v Speaker 4>give him a massive receipt. And I mean that with
<v Speaker 4>everything in me, truly. I don't care if I don't
<v Speaker 4>like the Cody Rhods character. I'm partial to the human
<v Speaker 4>being Cody Rhoads and the disrespect Travis Scott showed it
<v Speaker 4>just it deserves a receept. I don't care how long
<v Speaker 4>it's been.
<v Speaker 5>So.
<v Speaker 4>But there was no mention of the Rock, no mention
<v Speaker 4>that will come to me. This was just about John himself.
<v Speaker 4>There's four weeks to fill. That is a maximum of raw. Again,
<v Speaker 4>raw hasn't been three hours in a while, it's been
<v Speaker 4>two and a half ish range. But even if we
<v Speaker 4>rounded it up to three, that's what twelve hours, So
<v Speaker 4>twelve hours more, probably ten and a half eleven hours
<v Speaker 4>of raw left, certainly a lot of time plus SmackDown.
<v Speaker 4>Right now, there are pretty much no rules for the draft.
<v Speaker 4>All the draft rules have gone out the window. People
<v Speaker 4>showing up on each other's shows. Yeah, and I know
<v Speaker 4>I'm a stickler for it, but at this point I
<v Speaker 4>am throwing my hands up. Man. It's not even worth
<v Speaker 4>getting angry about it anymore because they do it throughout
<v Speaker 4>the year and four times on Sunday for WrestleMania season,
<v Speaker 4>and they are just going buck wild. So that's why
<v Speaker 4>when people go crazy about the draft when it happens
<v Speaker 4>every year, or when it sometimes happens every year and
<v Speaker 4>then there's a shakeup or whatever or a trade, none
<v Speaker 4>of that matters. None of it matters because the people
<v Speaker 4>that they want to have a match will just cross
<v Speaker 4>over with no reason or justification anyway. And I don't
<v Speaker 4>want to hear about this portal transfer window, transfer window,
<v Speaker 4>you know, wild card rule, dony, none of that. All
<v Speaker 4>of that is just irrelevant. They just mine as well.
<v Speaker 4>What they're doing is having a draft but also bringing
<v Speaker 4>people over when they need to and not even worrying
<v Speaker 4>about people getting angry that they're not following the rules.
<v Speaker 4>So anyway, so John Cena has SmackDown, he has raw
<v Speaker 4>they can pretty much go wherever they want. The Rock
<v Speaker 4>presumably will be coming to smack Down in the coming
<v Speaker 4>weeks to provide his explanation, and John and him could
<v Speaker 4>have a promo together as heels, which would be very
<v Speaker 4>intriguing as well, and then Cody can come out. And
<v Speaker 4>the big thing is guys, And I keep saying this,
<v Speaker 4>Cody Rhoades needs help. Randy Yorton is a perfect candidate
<v Speaker 4>to help him, except he's going to be facing Kevin Owens,
<v Speaker 4>so Randy can't be the guy to cross over. He's
<v Speaker 4>already got his own stuff going on Stone called Steve Austin.
<v Speaker 4>And I'll continue to say it, and some of you
<v Speaker 4>are just don't understand why I keep bringing it up,
<v Speaker 4>But there is so much evidence that suggests he's at
<v Speaker 4>least going to be there for a couple of stunners,
<v Speaker 4>not a full match. Stunners and beer and helping Cody.
<v Speaker 4>The evidence is he lives in Vegas, so that kind
<v Speaker 4>of helps, does it not. Secondly, he has confirmed WWE
<v Speaker 4>sent out an email that he is going to be
<v Speaker 4>at for a meet and greet I think April nineteen,
<v Speaker 4>eighteen nineteen, a day and two before WrestleMania. He's going
<v Speaker 4>to be there for meet and greets and you can
<v Speaker 4>buy tickets. I forget what it's called ww World or
<v Speaker 4>wherever they do the meet and greets days before WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 4>He is confirmed. They just confirmed him. He's right there.
<v Speaker 4>And so even if he has a knee that needs
<v Speaker 4>a little more time to heal, he's got another four
<v Speaker 4>weeks to just you know, pretend kick somebody and drop
<v Speaker 4>on his ass. Not that big of an ask. So
<v Speaker 4>the evidence continues to pile up that stone cold Steve
<v Speaker 4>Boston will in fact be there. It makes me really,
<v Speaker 4>really really want to purchase a ticket to Vegas and
<v Speaker 4>go there for Wrestlmania. I mean, it's killing me. But
<v Speaker 4>then the accommodations, you know, then you're looking at like,
<v Speaker 4>you know, well over one thousand dollars for an okay seat,
<v Speaker 4>for a hotel, food, you know, all the air for it,
<v Speaker 4>like it's a lot. So the money is the restrictive
<v Speaker 4>piece on top of time and anyway. So let's get
<v Speaker 4>talking about a little bit more here as I sus
<v Speaker 4>spent twenty five minutes on the opening segment, but well
<v Speaker 4>worth it. So Penta takes on Ludwig Kaiser and a
<v Speaker 4>no holds barred match. This match goes ten minutes and
<v Speaker 4>fifty seconds with Penta defeating Ludwig Kaiser no holds barred again.
<v Speaker 4>So the finish was Kaiser holding Pent's head in front
<v Speaker 4>of the camera and Penta saying no. Penta said said
<v Speaker 4>Penta will fear him. Kaiser slammed a chair over Pena's back.
<v Speaker 4>He battled back and then hit the sacrifice on Kaiser's arm.
<v Speaker 4>Penta picked up a chair and I give up, you win,
<v Speaker 4>That's what Kaiser said, and apparently the referee didn't care.
<v Speaker 4>Kaiser took the chair away from Penta, who then kicked
<v Speaker 4>the chair. He hit a destroyer on the chair and
<v Speaker 4>then hit the Penta driver for the victory. After the match,
<v Speaker 4>Kathy Kelly talked to Penta in the entrance aisle. She
<v Speaker 4>brought up WrestleMania and asked him what was next. He
<v Speaker 4>spoke about going after the inner No Championship. So I
<v Speaker 4>like that. There's there's direction, and Lord knows, they've been
<v Speaker 4>protecting him for quite some time. He hasn't lost a match.
<v Speaker 4>Ultra dominant, big performance in the Rumble. The momentum is
<v Speaker 4>certainly in his corner. So then we get some Finn
<v Speaker 4>Balor speaking with Live Morgan and Maraquel in the backstage area.
<v Speaker 4>Balor thanked dom for getting him the title match. And
<v Speaker 4>then Dom brought up adding another person to the group,
<v Speaker 4>and he said Penta. Balor got upset and said he
<v Speaker 4>wants to add someone who's going after my intercontinental title.
<v Speaker 4>Balor called Dom a snake and walked away, and then
<v Speaker 4>Dom turned around and told Carlito that he didn't know
<v Speaker 4>Penta wanted the Icy title, and Carlutle said, you don't
<v Speaker 4>watch the show, do you, which was pretty good. So
<v Speaker 4>Dakota Kai then takes an Ivy Isle super fast match.
<v Speaker 4>Here two and a half minutes, Dakota Kai beats Nile
<v Speaker 4>after the DTK and yeah, so, I mean it was
<v Speaker 4>what it was here. Crowd was really the star of
<v Speaker 4>this one because this match, if it was in front
<v Speaker 4>of a North America crowd, probably would have taken this
<v Speaker 4>one to go. I mean, let's just be honest, they
<v Speaker 4>would have taken the bathroom break during this match. There's
<v Speaker 4>not a lot of bill, not a lot of umph
<v Speaker 4>behind this program, not a lot of interest, and why
<v Speaker 4>would there be no disrespect? But there haven't done much
<v Speaker 4>with either woman. So however, the next segment was Adam
<v Speaker 4>Pearce in the ring with EO and Bianca and Pierce
<v Speaker 4>Spoke Spoke in French and set up the contract signing
<v Speaker 4>between EO. Sky and Bianca Belle Air for their Women's
<v Speaker 4>World Championship match at WrestleMania. And then Sky spoke first
<v Speaker 4>and said no one will disrespect her because she's the
<v Speaker 4>women's World champion. Skuy said she will still hold the
<v Speaker 4>title after WrestleMania. Crowd loved it. Sky signed the contract.
<v Speaker 4>Crowd was really behind Yo Ski. Here bel Air and
<v Speaker 4>Sky would find out who she is at WrestleMania. Bellair
<v Speaker 4>said that that's who she'll find out and she said
<v Speaker 4>that she'll be the new Women's champion. Crowd booter and
<v Speaker 4>bel Air signed the contract. Pierce said the match is
<v Speaker 4>now official for WrestleMania. He thanked them, and here comes Ripley.
<v Speaker 4>Pierce called for officials. Two refs run out and Ripley
<v Speaker 4>said Sky slapped her last week and she was going
<v Speaker 4>to do something about it, unlike bel Air. Ripley asked
<v Speaker 4>bel Air what she was doing, and she said that
<v Speaker 4>she was signing her contract for WrestleMania. And Ripley said
<v Speaker 4>Bellair had no business being out out there during her
<v Speaker 4>match with Sky, and then Rhea and Bianca argued. Sky
<v Speaker 4>continued to interrupt because she feels disrespected and she should.
<v Speaker 4>Bell Air pie faced her. Ripley headbutted bell Air, who
<v Speaker 4>fell on the table. Ripley power bombed Sky onto bell Air.
<v Speaker 4>But the table didn't break. It almost broke. You could
<v Speaker 4>see it buckling. I wish she had just kind of like,
<v Speaker 4>did you know, jumped through the table. That would have
<v Speaker 4>done it. It was so close to breaking it didn't.
<v Speaker 4>It happens and Ripley picked up the contract, signed her
<v Speaker 4>name and walked away with it. Grave said he didn't
<v Speaker 4>know if that was binding. I don't think so. So
<v Speaker 4>so a few things here, actually more than a few things.
<v Speaker 4>Number one, it looks like we're indeed going to get
<v Speaker 4>that triple threat. It's on the table here literally figuratively.
<v Speaker 4>And that's a pun I guess, because while it can't
<v Speaker 4>be binding, there is no contract in the world in
<v Speaker 4>which that would be legally binding. Rhea Ripley signed her
<v Speaker 4>name on a contract that her name doesn't appear on
<v Speaker 4>that would I make this comparison all the time, and
<v Speaker 4>sometimes it happens when someone doesn't sign, the contract gets
<v Speaker 4>interrupted and then someone comes out who's not in the
<v Speaker 4>match signs their name where that person originally was where
<v Speaker 4>the right If your name is John, it's John versus
<v Speaker 4>Dan for the world title. Dan signs the contract as
<v Speaker 4>the champion the challenger. John didn't sign it. I interrupt,
<v Speaker 4>I come out and I signed the name Matt where
<v Speaker 4>John had his name written in the contract. Yeah, that's
<v Speaker 4>not how this works. It's not a first come, first
<v Speaker 4>serve basis. That's not how this works. It would be
<v Speaker 4>the equivalent of somebody with a major league contract in baseball, basketball,
<v Speaker 4>NFL and HL and the owners signed the contract, right,
<v Speaker 4>I don't know, making five million a year. I storm
<v Speaker 4>in the conference room, I take the contract and I
<v Speaker 4>signed my name where they they were supposed to put
<v Speaker 4>their signature, And I say, ah, looks like I'm playing
<v Speaker 4>MLB this year. Give me my five million bucks. It's
<v Speaker 4>not how any kind of contracting works, even if you
<v Speaker 4>I mean, it's just common sense. It's ridiculous. It's not
<v Speaker 4>how things work. But in the world of pro wrestling,
<v Speaker 4>this is kind of a level worse because not only
<v Speaker 4>did Ree Ripley sign the contract, which it wouldn't matter anyway,
<v Speaker 4>but she signed it after the two legally legal women
<v Speaker 4>signed the contract. The two women that are in and
<v Speaker 4>mentioned in the contract as contract Ease signed it, it's
<v Speaker 4>legally binding, and then someone comes along and just signs
<v Speaker 4>their name on it and they're suddenly added. I would
<v Speaker 4>I really hope, I really hope that they don't pretend
<v Speaker 4>that this is legally binding. This is like, this is
<v Speaker 4>even worse than their typical Oh the signature was left blank,
<v Speaker 4>so you know, signed her name in there. I really
<v Speaker 4>hope they don't go with it. It's just ridiculous. However,
<v Speaker 4>the ultimate result is of course going to be a
<v Speaker 4>triple threat by Hooker Crook. However they get there, we
<v Speaker 4>all know that's going to happen, and we've known it
<v Speaker 4>for weeks, and it's fine. I think it's going to
<v Speaker 4>be an incredible matchup. Still would like Ria versus Bianca
<v Speaker 4>one on one. Still would I love EO? I just
<v Speaker 4>want that one on one program. But I totally can
<v Speaker 4>appreciate EO, And in fact, there's a case to be
<v Speaker 4>made to have her walk out as champion, A strong case,
<v Speaker 4>really strong case. So that's number one. Number two. How Over,
<v Speaker 4>eosky Is continues to grow every week, and yes, it helps,
<v Speaker 4>she's in an international audience. They always elevate things. They
<v Speaker 4>amplify the reactions, so that certainly helps. The Eosky movement
<v Speaker 4>here is quite striking compared to last year, where Bailey
<v Speaker 4>was the one that was coming out getting trying to
<v Speaker 4>get revenge and for what EO had done in her
<v Speaker 4>group and damage control all that. Dakota Kai turned on her,
<v Speaker 4>if you remember, and Bailey was a sympathetic one. This year,
<v Speaker 4>people want Io to hang on to it. I don't
<v Speaker 4>think anybody wants either woman other than EO to be champion.
<v Speaker 4>The majority of the audience, if you listened to him
<v Speaker 4>last night, wants Eosky to retain. So that's number two.
<v Speaker 4>This movement for EO Sky continues to grow, and let's
<v Speaker 4>see if it can translate in any form or fashion
<v Speaker 4>to North America. Number three, We'll have to see if
<v Speaker 4>this reaction for Bianca is an anomaly or if it's
<v Speaker 4>something that is a trend. Either way, turning Bianca, heel
<v Speaker 4>no better time to do it. I've been saying it
<v Speaker 4>for years. She's got Naomi to deal with, yes, with
<v Speaker 4>her turn on Jade. But perhaps it's just it's it's
<v Speaker 4>revealed that she was the mastermind or something behind the attack,
<v Speaker 4>and Naomi, you know, spills the secret whatever, so that
<v Speaker 4>that could happen. But or or Bianca just turns heel
<v Speaker 4>on her own in the matchup, cheats to win, and
<v Speaker 4>is your new heel Women's World Champion. Very possible, so
<v Speaker 4>I also enjoy I like that, So Bianca turning heel
<v Speaker 4>is a real possibility. We'll just have to see how
<v Speaker 4>this all translates to their their base core audience, which
<v Speaker 4>is North America, so a few layers of things happening there.
<v Speaker 4>Either way, this triple threat is going to be awesome.
<v Speaker 4>I hope they give the women enough time here. If
<v Speaker 4>twelve to fifteen minutes is not enough time, I say twenty.
<v Speaker 4>Give these women twenty minutes to do their thing. A WrestleMania,
<v Speaker 4>they easily could main event the show a Night one.
<v Speaker 4>In fact, if I was booking, I might do it. No,
<v Speaker 4>I would do it. I would Night one WrestleMania main
<v Speaker 4>event would be the women because the j Uso storyline
<v Speaker 4>with Gunther, and we'll get to that, is just rinse
<v Speaker 4>and repeat. Man, they don't know what to do. They're
<v Speaker 4>stuck on repeat, and we'll get to that. So I've
<v Speaker 4>got some things to say. But well, here we are
<v Speaker 4>actually speaking of I thought this match was a little
<v Speaker 4>further down the card. It was the next match on
<v Speaker 4>the card though. Ja Uso takes on Austin Theory with
<v Speaker 4>Grayson Waller at ringside. Jay hits a running cross body
<v Speaker 4>block gets the victory, and then after the match, Jay
<v Speaker 4>super kicks Waller and he had a bit of a
<v Speaker 4>flop dollar clunky dive to the men on the outside.
<v Speaker 4>It happens, Jay comes up short and then he returned
<v Speaker 4>to the ring, and then Gunther showed up put Jay
<v Speaker 4>in a sleeper. Jay broke free ripped the title belt
<v Speaker 4>from Gunther's waist and then gun Thro charged charged Jay,
<v Speaker 4>he moved, held the top rope down. Gun Thro tumbled
<v Speaker 4>to the floor, and then he went to the ropes
<v Speaker 4>and held up the title before tossing it to Gunther.
<v Speaker 4>And the crowd was, you know, they were supportive, which
<v Speaker 4>was fine, But that's kind of just the theme of
<v Speaker 4>the j Gunther story. It's it's just fine. I don't
<v Speaker 4>think there's a huge movement here for Jay to win.
<v Speaker 4>I really do believe people would be understanding if guntherer.
<v Speaker 4>Even if you support Jay, you'd have to understand if
<v Speaker 4>they decided to keep Gunther champion. This has been fine,
<v Speaker 4>it's been okay. It certainly has not been WrestleMania main
<v Speaker 4>event worthy for a build. It just hasn't. The women,
<v Speaker 4>as I just went over, have a significantly larger amount
<v Speaker 4>of momentum and interest than does Jay and Gunther, and
<v Speaker 4>there are several reasons for that. I think. Number one,
<v Speaker 4>we just saw this match a few months ago where
<v Speaker 4>guntherer beat him. Number Two, people, even if you want
<v Speaker 4>a minute enjoy Gunther as champion, I think most people do.
<v Speaker 4>Gunther is on the rise. He's got a long way
<v Speaker 4>in front of him, which may tend to it may
<v Speaker 4>tip the scale in the favor of Guntherro to retain
<v Speaker 4>because he's not a veteran at the end of his career.
<v Speaker 4>He's also still trying to build himself and make himself
<v Speaker 4>a name. So Gunther is also in kind of a
<v Speaker 4>weird place where typically you know, the heels had enough time. Yeah,
<v Speaker 4>he's older, he can afford with that. You know, he
<v Speaker 4>can live without the title. That's not Gunther. Jay is
<v Speaker 4>on a journey. He could be in a Cody WrestleMania
<v Speaker 4>thirty nine position, which is where I'd put him WrestleMania
<v Speaker 4>thirty nine position, meaning people foresee Cody winning and I
<v Speaker 4>thought he was gonna win it WrestleMania thirty nine to two,
<v Speaker 4>and now Jay wrestle Maana forty one. You could see
<v Speaker 4>it coming. Let's just get it over with, and then
<v Speaker 4>he loses. Right, So, perhaps Jay is in a very
<v Speaker 4>similar position to Cody at thirty nine, where everyone's just
<v Speaker 4>kind of, oh yeah, let's get it over with, let's
<v Speaker 4>have Jay win, and instead he loses. I think that
<v Speaker 4>would be a much better place for Gunther and j
<v Speaker 4>because then it's like, Okay, well, what does Jay do now?
<v Speaker 4>Be fascinating I think, or not fascinating but more interesting.
<v Speaker 4>Fascinating's a bit overdone. But the build so far Man
<v Speaker 4>has just been very light on promos, very heavy on
<v Speaker 4>the attack from behind formula, which I understand is traditional
<v Speaker 4>heel heat. It's happening week after week. Gunther continues to
<v Speaker 4>put him down. This week he grabbed the title in
<v Speaker 4>symbolic fashion. Now what this program needs help if they
<v Speaker 4>have any hope of actually making this main event of
<v Speaker 4>WrestleMania Night one, there needs to be some overhaul of
<v Speaker 4>the structure of raw where you have to gamble on
<v Speaker 4>a really good story woven throughout the show about the championship.
<v Speaker 4>Maybe a tag team matchup with Gunther and a partner
<v Speaker 4>of his choosing versus Jay and a partner of his choosing.
<v Speaker 4>Maybe it is I don't know, Jay could pick up
<v Speaker 4>Jimmy and have Gunther and Kaiser team. I mean, it's
<v Speaker 4>a little predictable, but something along those lines. There needs
<v Speaker 4>to be more substance. This program is slightly boring, and
<v Speaker 4>I shouldn't be feeling about a slightly boring WrestleMania made event.
<v Speaker 4>Boring shouldn't be anywhere near WrestleMania made event. Those words
<v Speaker 4>should not be near near one another, and unfortunately it
<v Speaker 4>feels that way. So we then have Raymistereo and Dragon
<v Speaker 4>Lee taking on Julius and Brutus Creed. Match was nearly
<v Speaker 4>six minutes with Ray and Dragon beating Julius and Brutus Creed.
<v Speaker 4>Ray puts Julius down with the DDT, Dragon Lee pulled
<v Speaker 4>Brutus off the apron with a hurricane rana. Ray went
<v Speaker 4>up top, but Julius jumped up caught him on the ropes,
<v Speaker 4>and then Ray shot Brutus down and hit him with
<v Speaker 4>a six to one nine, and then Ray dropped the
<v Speaker 4>Dime got the victory. After the match, though, the American
<v Speaker 4>made mask mystery man attacked ray and and Lee and
<v Speaker 4>left him lying and hit him with a top rope
<v Speaker 4>headbutt and was chased off by security. So, you know,
<v Speaker 4>I know everyone knows it's Chad Gable, but there is
<v Speaker 4>a speculation that it's Bronson Reid and he just lost
<v Speaker 4>a lot of weight. It's that's a funny. I mean,
<v Speaker 4>that's not, of course gonna happen. But it's Chad Gable.
<v Speaker 4>We all know it is, and that's fine. He's doing
<v Speaker 4>a Hulk Hogan redo. If you remember back in three
<v Speaker 4>was it O three or two two o three, when
<v Speaker 4>Hulk Hogan got fired by Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan
<v Speaker 4>returned as Mister America underneath the mask and Vince you know,
<v Speaker 4>was and we all knew it was Hulk, but with
<v Speaker 4>the mask, he was under a different persona and therefore
<v Speaker 4>he could still be employed. It's kind of like that,
<v Speaker 4>where you know, mister America and Hull Coogan is. I
<v Speaker 4>don't know if that's where they got this. It's been
<v Speaker 4>twenty three years since we've seen that story, but still,
<v Speaker 4>you know, having Chad Gable do what he's doing. It's fine.
<v Speaker 4>I don't know what the payoff is. He gets revealed
<v Speaker 4>as Chad and then what It's just kind of a
<v Speaker 4>fun little intermission of a program. I just hope that
<v Speaker 4>they don't do this with Chad too much longer, because
<v Speaker 4>when he's in his serious role as a heel, Chad's
<v Speaker 4>at his best. Remember when he was the abusive, emotionally
<v Speaker 4>toxic leader of Otis and Maxine Duprix. I mean, that
<v Speaker 4>was when he was at his best. So anyway, we
<v Speaker 4>then have let's see Seth Rollins come out and the
<v Speaker 4>crowd continues to chant Rollin's music, which I'm over and
<v Speaker 4>I mean, can we just stop this please? I'm just
<v Speaker 4>begging everyone in the live attendance. It was fun. Well,
<v Speaker 4>it lasted Seth Rollins music. It needs to end. It
<v Speaker 4>needs to end. It's torture for people at home, all right.
<v Speaker 4>So Rolind said he's not mad that Rains came for
<v Speaker 4>revenge last week because he would have done the same.
<v Speaker 4>He said that after all these years and a wise
<v Speaker 4>man in his ear, Rains can't come up with a plan.
<v Speaker 4>Rollins called Punk the luckiest loser on the face of
<v Speaker 4>the planet and said that if he had just a
<v Speaker 4>few more seconds, he would have done what he promised
<v Speaker 4>by stopping him ending his WrestleMania dream and putting Punk's
<v Speaker 4>career on ice, and said it was just like the
<v Speaker 4>good old days, and in that he's left to clean
<v Speaker 4>up romans mess. Rollin said he would put the OTC
<v Speaker 4>in his place along the way and said that Rains
<v Speaker 4>and Punk would be in the same place at the
<v Speaker 4>same time on Friday's SmackDown. And I ask why he
<v Speaker 4>should let them have the fun and he's making a
<v Speaker 4>trip to SmackDown again brand rules don't apply for unknown reasons,
<v Speaker 4>but he said he that that would happen Friday. But
<v Speaker 4>the Brussels crowd has been great, and asked the fans
<v Speaker 4>to sing his song before the main event, and so
<v Speaker 4>people continued to chant as we all at home are
<v Speaker 4>just groaning, and he said, I'll see a Friday. So
<v Speaker 4>we then have we had Rollins there just to say, hey,
<v Speaker 4>I'm not gonna I'm just gonna go to SmackDown, so
<v Speaker 4>I'll see a SmackDown. It was just a big promotion
<v Speaker 4>for see a Friday. But I still am concerned that
<v Speaker 4>this match presumed match with Rollins and punk and rains
<v Speaker 4>is all for a big nothing. You would think that
<v Speaker 4>the favor from Hayman is bigger than this unless it's
<v Speaker 4>coming later after WrestleMania. It can't just be an empty
<v Speaker 4>triple threat match, nothing on the line, just pride. It
<v Speaker 4>can't be. You can't take three top talent that could
<v Speaker 4>easily in their own rights main event WrestleMania on their
<v Speaker 4>own with an opponent and throw them in a match.
<v Speaker 4>There are all three big names, but throw them in
<v Speaker 4>a match just to have a match with three big
<v Speaker 4>names on it with no consequence for who wins. There's
<v Speaker 4>more to the story. We're missing more pieces to the
<v Speaker 4>puzzle here. I feel like we have three big pieces
<v Speaker 4>if this is in need a triple threat if, but
<v Speaker 4>we don't have the rest. We've got the three, we
<v Speaker 4>have three faces, but what's the environment around them look like?
<v Speaker 4>What's on the line? There has to be more? Is
<v Speaker 4>it its future title opportunity? I hope so, I hope
<v Speaker 4>it is. I hope it's a future title opportunity because
<v Speaker 4>that would make sense.
<v Speaker 6>All right.
<v Speaker 4>We then have aj Styles interviewed by Kathy Kelly. He
<v Speaker 4>started to talk about Logan Paul and we had carrying
<v Speaker 4>Cross interrupt and Cross asked Styles why he couldn't find
<v Speaker 4>respect for a kid who walked into the business and
<v Speaker 4>accomplished what Styles did in record time, and Styles said
<v Speaker 4>he saw what Cross was trying to do and wasn't
<v Speaker 4>going to work, and that was that. We then have
<v Speaker 4>a video package Aaron Triple H making his comeback from
<v Speaker 4>his quad injury and returning at Madison Square Garden and
<v Speaker 4>he plugged tickets for the Hall of Fame on April
<v Speaker 4>eighteenth in Vegas. So then we have Braun Breaker Finn
<v Speaker 4>Balor Intercontinental Championship Championship. Match went twelve and a half
<v Speaker 4>minutes with bron Breaker beating Finn to retain the Intercontinental
<v Speaker 4>Championship and a really decent match here. But the payoff
<v Speaker 4>or the big angle here was Dom quote unquote inadvertently
<v Speaker 4>screwing over Finn by hitting the ropes, causing Finn to
<v Speaker 4>land on the turnbuckle between his legs, and that allowed
<v Speaker 4>bron Breaker to knock Dom off the Apron hit a
<v Speaker 4>spear on Baller and retain And after the match, Dom
<v Speaker 4>and Carlito attacked Breaker and he went to rings Dom
<v Speaker 4>did he went to ringside, grabbed the title belt, brought
<v Speaker 4>it back to the ring. Penta comes out and roughed
<v Speaker 4>up Dom and Carlito. Breaker recovered and speared Carlito. And
<v Speaker 4>it looks like we're getting potentially a fatal four way
<v Speaker 4>for the Intercontinental title in WrestleMania, because Penta wants a
<v Speaker 4>piece we have, you know, we have Dom potentially in
<v Speaker 4>there somehow, and you could add Carly. You could add
<v Speaker 4>Carly too, although I mean, I don't think he's a
<v Speaker 4>big enough name to even be close to believable to
<v Speaker 4>be a real contender. So maybe it is Penta versus Breaker, Yeah,
<v Speaker 4>that's very possible. But two maybe faces right now. You
<v Speaker 4>gotta have Finn in there, so perhaps Finn is added
<v Speaker 4>as a triple threat, maybe not a fatal four way,
<v Speaker 4>but a triple threat with Finn Dom, I'm sorry, Finn,
<v Speaker 4>Breaker and Penta man. That's going to be a presumably
<v Speaker 4>an excellent match a lot of if you notice multi
<v Speaker 4>man matches here. This is a potential triple threat with
<v Speaker 4>the Intercontinental title. The women's match is all but confirmed
<v Speaker 4>for the women's world title anyway, a triple threat between
<v Speaker 4>Bianca and Rhea, Ripley and Eoski, and then the presumed
<v Speaker 4>triple threat with Punk Rains and Rollins for whatever the
<v Speaker 4>hell's on the line. We don't know yet, so this
<v Speaker 4>is so far. Again, nothing's one hundred percent, but it
<v Speaker 4>looks like those three matches are being lined up for
<v Speaker 4>triple threat, triple threat, triple threat, I don't know. Sounds
<v Speaker 4>like a lot of triple threats that they have to
<v Speaker 4>to kind of pair down a bit. So really good,
<v Speaker 4>h Monnonette Raw here one that is mostly going to
<v Speaker 4>be remember remembered for the promo from John Cena, the
<v Speaker 4>you know, quick interaction with Cody Rhodes, the crowd that
<v Speaker 4>continues to just torch it, and yeah, maybe the Intercontinental
<v Speaker 4>title match. I don't know, but this was one that
<v Speaker 4>move things forward in a way that made you excited
<v Speaker 4>to see the next show, especially I mean looking at
<v Speaker 4>SmackDown and what Rollins could do there. Does the Rock
<v Speaker 4>potentially show up although he's not advertised. We've seen the
<v Speaker 4>Rock show up unadvertised before. That's something he does do,
<v Speaker 4>so keep that in mind. All right, Well, what I
<v Speaker 4>want to do get to a voicemailer two that I
<v Speaker 4>didn't get to this past week, and this does not
<v Speaker 4>include them watching Raw from last night. This is kind
<v Speaker 4>of six days old, but still still could be definitely relevant.
<v Speaker 4>So let's take a listen and I'll respond.
<v Speaker 2>I's a French guy here, you're current European champion. All right, guys,
<v Speaker 2>I've been talking about The Rock for a long time now.
<v Speaker 2>I cannot say how much I'm happy to see him
<v Speaker 2>on my screen. Of course, I wanted to see him
<v Speaker 2>against Roman Reigns for the travel Chief status. However, I've
<v Speaker 2>been thinking lately about last year's styline as well as
<v Speaker 2>The Rock's actions recently. So what I thought is, you know,
<v Speaker 2>during the Netflix premiere, the Rock did two things. Maybe
<v Speaker 2>it was planned, maybe not. It's not that important now.
<v Speaker 2>What is important is to know that the Rock acknowledged
<v Speaker 2>Roman Reigns as the tribal chief. Maybe will not get
<v Speaker 2>a tribal combat for the tribal chief status because the
<v Speaker 2>Rock doesn't need it. He doesn't need it because he's
<v Speaker 2>the final Boss and he's building his own faction with
<v Speaker 2>John Cena and I think someone else. I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>I think after after WrestleMania, a new member with joined them.
<v Speaker 2>I hope it's not that of a rookie. I heard
<v Speaker 2>some rumors. I don't like the idea of Drew McIntyre
<v Speaker 2>as well, but that's off topic. Second of all, is
<v Speaker 2>that you know, during the Raw premiere, the Rock acknowledged
<v Speaker 2>also Cody Rose and etc. He said, you're my friend,
<v Speaker 2>how's your mama and all of this, And maybe he
<v Speaker 2>did this to write the storyline of him against Cody
<v Speaker 2>Rhodes as the final boss. You know, I thought at
<v Speaker 2>the beginning he did all of this, of this SmackDown
<v Speaker 2>promo that was kind of mid. He did this maybe
<v Speaker 2>to acknowledge himself on Raw, saying outside of k fape
<v Speaker 2>to Cody Rhodes, I acknowledge you, you are a good champion,
<v Speaker 2>et cetera.
<v Speaker 4>But I want to see more.
<v Speaker 2>I want to see more John Cina heal is definitely
<v Speaker 2>something I'm signing for. But Roman Rains versus Seth Rawllans
<v Speaker 2>nice of Roman Reigns versus cmpun nice, But triple thread match.
<v Speaker 6>I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>Maybe it's it's just the beginning of a storyline between
<v Speaker 2>the Roman Reigns and South Rowdens.
<v Speaker 4>Bye guys, Alex, thank you buddy, And yeah, the triple
<v Speaker 4>threat is it sounds weird to say that you don't
<v Speaker 4>want all three guys in the ring at the same time,
<v Speaker 4>because the story gets muddled down, it doesn't have the
<v Speaker 4>focus that a story with Rollins and range deserves to have.
<v Speaker 4>I also appreciate you bringing up the fact that it
<v Speaker 4>could be or I'm sorry that the Rock doesn't need
<v Speaker 4>to fight to be the tribal chief. He's the final boss.
<v Speaker 4>He's and the hell the on the board of TKO.
<v Speaker 4>The hell would it matter if he's the tribal chief,
<v Speaker 4>you know? And is it gonna fight for the I
<v Speaker 4>mean him and Solo already did that, so it would
<v Speaker 4>be nothing more than just a match about family and
<v Speaker 4>who's the head of the table. Now what the difference
<v Speaker 4>is between being the head of the table and being
<v Speaker 4>the travel chief. I know those are all just you know,
<v Speaker 4>splitting hairs. But that match isn't on the table this
<v Speaker 4>year again. So looks like, just like we say every year,
<v Speaker 4>this is just becoming an annual tradition. It's like an
<v Speaker 4>it's a WrestleMania tradition to talk about a WrestleMania match
<v Speaker 4>that's getting kicked to the next year. It's just become
<v Speaker 4>a WrestleMania tradition since what WrestleMania thirty seven to just
<v Speaker 4>say that the Rock and Roman reigns is going to
<v Speaker 4>happen next year, so in keeping with tradition, looks like
<v Speaker 4>we have to wait till next year. So yeah, it's
<v Speaker 4>a good point. I appreciate all the observations. All right,
<v Speaker 4>let's see how many more we can do here.
<v Speaker 7>This is DJ coolsmoll back added again on your mail
<v Speaker 7>Max record to live on a Wednesday board.
<v Speaker 3>And you know what time it is.
<v Speaker 7>It's time to see his name, man, he peers.
<v Speaker 3>I believe in Joe Hendry. I believe in Joe Hendry.
<v Speaker 3>This right, folks, Joe Hendry is his name.
<v Speaker 7>As I take it to my thirty fifth episode of
<v Speaker 7>the Joe hundred for l like always come it to
<v Speaker 7>you live from an on this closed location.
<v Speaker 3>Before we start the show, I must mention three things.
<v Speaker 7>First, if my voice does not sound the way how
<v Speaker 7>used to, it was because I was chanting, screaming, yelling
<v Speaker 7>from last night line from the theater at MANISOONCT Square Garden,
<v Speaker 7>where I got to witness my first NXT show, NXDU
<v Speaker 7>Roadblock in the whole TNA and NSC collaboration, and most
<v Speaker 7>so poorly, I got to meet the host of the
<v Speaker 7>NXC podcast Jay. I got to meet him and his
<v Speaker 7>dad before the show started. We took a couple of pictures,
<v Speaker 7>We shared some you know, just shared some information. You're
<v Speaker 7>gonna catch me on his show later this week on
<v Speaker 7>the NXC podcast, So stay tuned on the ww podcast now.
<v Speaker 3>I also want to mention.
<v Speaker 7>That that night last night, as I was screaming, yelling,
<v Speaker 7>and chanting, I got to witness not just history but
<v Speaker 7>her story as Stephanie Vacoor defeated Julia to become not
<v Speaker 7>just the NXT Women's North American Champion, but the NXT
<v Speaker 7>Women's Champion.
<v Speaker 3>Now she has two belts. What does this mean going forward?
<v Speaker 7>Stay tuned on the NXT podcast to get more information
<v Speaker 7>about that. I gotta save hopefully NXT comes back to
<v Speaker 7>New York City because the crowd was amazing.
<v Speaker 3>I had two beers.
<v Speaker 7>Okay, I had two beers and water, but the crowd
<v Speaker 7>where I was at, the section that I was at
<v Speaker 7>was one of the most rowdiest sections. It kind of
<v Speaker 7>felt like it was an indie wrestling show. As we
<v Speaker 7>were chanting, as you were saying some funny things, we
<v Speaker 7>was insulting Boosty. I believe he's the ex division champion.
<v Speaker 3>We called it baldy baldy, and you're still bald, you're
<v Speaker 3>stool bald.
<v Speaker 7>Anyway, all of these things was so amazing that I
<v Speaker 7>got to with this my first n XD show. Hopefully
<v Speaker 7>this will not be the last, but I definitely will
<v Speaker 7>say next.
<v Speaker 3>Time I will bring a sign, a WW podcast sign
<v Speaker 3>or Joe Hendry's side.
<v Speaker 7>Anyway, just to kind of slow down my momentum a
<v Speaker 7>little bit, Let's get to my second thing that I
<v Speaker 7>want to mention before we get to the Joe Hendrick part,
<v Speaker 7>and that is.
<v Speaker 3>Shout out to Dino from Scotland.
<v Speaker 7>Dino mentioned in the discord chat, then none other than
<v Speaker 7>Joe Hendry will be having a live concert on March
<v Speaker 7>twenty fourth down in Glasgow, Scotland. Then I said that correctly, Glasgow, Scotland. Glasgow, Glasgow, Scotland.
<v Speaker 7>That's right, Glasgow, Scotland. Joe Hendry will be doing a
<v Speaker 7>live car set. It'll be in collaboration with DJ Mark Henry.
<v Speaker 7>You're here to hear, folks. Mark Henry is a DJ.
<v Speaker 7>Now this event is called the Wrestling Club Night and
<v Speaker 7>it's gonna be happening at the Garage.
<v Speaker 3>In concert. We're gonna have Joe Hendry. We're gonna have
<v Speaker 3>a whole bunch of bangers.
<v Speaker 7>One of your favorite wrestling theme songs will be played
<v Speaker 7>at this event. So if you're in Scotland like Dino,
<v Speaker 7>if you're going to be in Scotland, hopefully you can
<v Speaker 7>see Joe hendriy live in a concert. But also this
<v Speaker 7>is very interesting because March twenty fourth will also be
<v Speaker 7>a WWE Raw from the same location in Glasgow, Scotland. Now,
<v Speaker 7>John Cena, supposedly it is supposed to be on this
<v Speaker 7>episode of Monday Night Raw in Scotland. Will we get
<v Speaker 7>an appearance of Joe Hendry to go face to face
<v Speaker 7>with John Cena to come to the aid Hody Rhodes.
<v Speaker 7>Let's see, but this should be some interesting times as
<v Speaker 7>we get ready on the road to WrestleMania March twenty four.
<v Speaker 7>Remember this, folks, March twenty fourth, Glasgow, Scotland. John Cena's
<v Speaker 7>gonna be on Mondaynight Raw. We might get an appearance
<v Speaker 7>of Joe Hendry.
<v Speaker 8>But most supportedly Joe Hendry will be having a live
<v Speaker 8>concert after Mondaynight with collaborations with DJ Mark Henry. Now
<v Speaker 8>let's get to the Joe Hendrew Report, Episode thirty five,
<v Speaker 8>as we are on the road to TNA sacrifice that
<v Speaker 8>will be happening. Marsh fourteenth Lauren from Alpaso, Texas. Last
<v Speaker 8>week on the episode of TNA Wrestling, we got the
<v Speaker 8>word that there are two members that now will be
<v Speaker 8>added to Joe Hendry's team, and that is Leon Slater
<v Speaker 8>and the former TENNA World Champion Nick Nimitt aka Dolph Ziggler.
<v Speaker 8>So now we have our five guys for Joe Hendry
<v Speaker 8>to go up against the System and the Cologne Brothers.
<v Speaker 8>So we have Joe Hendry, we have Nick Nemitt, we
<v Speaker 8>have Leon Slater, we have Matt Hardy, and most importantly,
<v Speaker 8>we have the newly signed Elijah aka Elias to be
<v Speaker 8>part of this team.
<v Speaker 7>As I get ready to close off here, I have
<v Speaker 7>to say that on this episode of TIN Pro Wrestling,
<v Speaker 7>Joe Hendry made the save after what Elijah defeated Myers.
<v Speaker 7>Here comes members of the Systems to attack Elijah. Joe
<v Speaker 7>Hendry comes in with a white guitar to fend off
<v Speaker 7>the attackers. But then we get another running in the
<v Speaker 7>main event, it was the Hardy Boys versus the Cologne Brothers.
<v Speaker 7>The match got disqualified as members of the System came
<v Speaker 7>to try to beat down on the Hardys, and then
<v Speaker 7>here comes Elijah, here comes Leon Slater, and here comes.
<v Speaker 3>Joe Hendry to make the save.
<v Speaker 7>But here comes the Director of Authority, sad Tina Morella,
<v Speaker 7>and he made a big bombshell announcement. Not just that
<v Speaker 7>this will be a five on five match this coming
<v Speaker 7>Friday in El Paso, Texas at Teenage Sacrifice, but this
<v Speaker 7>will be the first ever in a long time a
<v Speaker 7>steal cage match. So we're gonna have this five vote
<v Speaker 7>five in a steel cage. The last time that TNA
<v Speaker 7>had a steel cage match was way back on August
<v Speaker 7>twenty fifth, twenty eighteen, matchup between Sammy Kellahan and Brian Cage.
<v Speaker 7>Now this is so fun because this week we had
<v Speaker 7>a couple of steel cage matches in professional wrestling. A
<v Speaker 7>w had near steel cage match at aw Revolution in
<v Speaker 7>which we had none other than than Kyle Fletcher versus
<v Speaker 7>Will Osprey.
<v Speaker 3>That this past Monday Night Raw, we had.
<v Speaker 7>A steel cage match of Seth Freykerrallins versus Seal Bunk.
<v Speaker 7>And now on this Friday, we're having this tedman tag
<v Speaker 7>team match including Joe Hendry's team inside of steel cage.
<v Speaker 3>If you are a fan of professional wrestling, this is awesome.
<v Speaker 7>But anyway, as I get to close off here and
<v Speaker 7>we got our teams, ever, get it ready fourteen to
<v Speaker 7>day sacrifice this come in Friday, laur from Apostle, Texas.
<v Speaker 7>Always remember to believe, say his name and he appears.
<v Speaker 7>Always remember the words that Joe Hendry says anytime, any place,
<v Speaker 7>at any show, and most portly, most simporly, always remember
<v Speaker 7>to do this.
<v Speaker 3>Once again, this is your guy.
<v Speaker 7>DJ Coulsbo, have a blessed week, be kid to one
<v Speaker 7>of those stays in my friends.
<v Speaker 3>Believe and peace.
<v Speaker 4>Well DJ, first of all, jealous that you were able
<v Speaker 4>to make that next I wish I could have, and
<v Speaker 4>glad you had some fun. I do take exception to
<v Speaker 4>the Baldi comments. As a very very high level member
<v Speaker 4>of the Bald Club, I take offense to this. You know,
<v Speaker 4>I'm very much that that's my identity, that's very much
<v Speaker 4>a part of who I am, so chanting Baldy in
<v Speaker 4>a you know, in demeaning way. I take very high
<v Speaker 4>offense to that. Although I could grow my hair out,
<v Speaker 4>boy would it would look ridiculous? I mean, if I
<v Speaker 4>did It's not that I'm i'd be I wouldn't be bald.
<v Speaker 4>It's just I got my mother's father's hair, which apparently
<v Speaker 4>is like a thing. So everybody else in my family,
<v Speaker 4>everybody else, even my grandfather on my dad's side, he
<v Speaker 4>had a full head of hair until he died at
<v Speaker 4>ninety years old. Full head of hair. But I got
<v Speaker 4>my mother's father's hair, and I got the exact haircut
<v Speaker 4>that he died with, so anyway, save me a lot
<v Speaker 4>of money on haircuts. However, thank you for that update,
<v Speaker 4>and I'm glad you had some fun. If you ever
<v Speaker 4>make a sign, I mean, obviously you don't have to
<v Speaker 4>do that. I mean everyone, I'm not not giving anybody
<v Speaker 4>a homework assignment to do that. If anyone does that,
<v Speaker 4>I highly appreciate it and certainly take a picture. But yeah,
<v Speaker 4>so cool. As far as Joe Hendry, first of all,
<v Speaker 4>I didn't know that Mark Henry was a DJ. That's
<v Speaker 4>a fun factoid. And then he and Joe Hendry putting
<v Speaker 4>on a it's the wrestling club at the RAJ in Glasgow, Scotland.
<v Speaker 4>Didn't know that, so shout out to Dino as well.
<v Speaker 4>And also that is the same site for Manonette raw
<v Speaker 4>that night. I don't think that's coincidence. Joe Hendry, John Cena,
<v Speaker 4>that would be a fun interaction because yes, it's about
<v Speaker 4>Cody Rhodes. But Joe Hendry, even if he teamed with
<v Speaker 4>Cody Rhodes against John Cena and an opponent for a
<v Speaker 4>Mondonette raw boy, that even if it's not a match,
<v Speaker 4>it could just be a beat down save as you said,
<v Speaker 4>get me excited. It's gonna be a fun road to
<v Speaker 4>wrestle Manium. We're not even where we are getting close
<v Speaker 4>to the end, but four weeks is still a significant
<v Speaker 4>amount of times. So thank you to so much. DJ
<v Speaker 4>final voicemail. I think this is Brad. What's Brad got
<v Speaker 4>to say tonight?
<v Speaker 5>Hey Mad, it's Brad in Florida. Two quick things. Number one,
<v Speaker 5>I was thinking about, you know that everyone's obviously talking
<v Speaker 5>about this John Cena heal turn. It's the biggest thing ever,
<v Speaker 5>which you know, obviously it's huge, And then now everyone
<v Speaker 5>wants Cody to go heal. It's just something. I know
<v Speaker 5>you you've spoken about it quite a bit, But to me, man,
<v Speaker 5>Cody shouldn't go heal for another you know, ten years
<v Speaker 5>and literally should replicate the exact thing that happened with
<v Speaker 5>John Cena and him ten years from now to probably
<v Speaker 5>some kid who's like in high school now, you know,
<v Speaker 5>who is the future or the next Cody or whatever.
<v Speaker 5>I mean, that would be really poetic. I just can't
<v Speaker 5>see them giving up on this nightmare character. I actually
<v Speaker 5>really like Cody after what I saw from him an
<v Speaker 5>elimination chamber, even more than I did previously. I'm always
<v Speaker 5>a big Roman guy, and I.
<v Speaker 6>Usually liked feels, but I love Cody man. I got
<v Speaker 6>a lot of sympathy going against this you know, demon force,
<v Speaker 6>this illuminati force of Sina and Rock and of course
<v Speaker 6>that demon Travis Scott. But here's the here's the thing
<v Speaker 6>that I wanted to bring up to you, the third man.
<v Speaker 6>How much would people's heads.
<v Speaker 5>Explode if the third man to go with the Rock
<v Speaker 5>and Sina is Vince McMahon. How amazing would that be
<v Speaker 5>that we find out the third person who's behind all
<v Speaker 5>of this in conjunction with Rock is Vince. It makes
<v Speaker 5>perfect sense. It would be so insane. It would literally
<v Speaker 5>be the biggest headline story like this was with the Plant,
<v Speaker 5>like regular sports stories. If Vince was the third person.
<v Speaker 5>I mean, this makes the story just absolutely gigantic, and
<v Speaker 5>people thought there's no way Sampunk was coming back. Vince's
<v Speaker 5>lawsuits are done. I'm not saying he's going to come
<v Speaker 5>back like to be a real major part of this company,
<v Speaker 5>but just for this storyline, if they could somehow make
<v Speaker 5>a deal with him to come back and he's the
<v Speaker 5>third man. Wow, I mean, now you're really, really really talking.
<v Speaker 5>We love your thoughts on that. Vince McMahon is the
<v Speaker 5>third man. Unbelievable scenario that would be Thanks Matt, Hey,
<v Speaker 5>Brad and Florida.
<v Speaker 6>Again.
<v Speaker 5>I'm sorry to give you a second voicemail here, but
<v Speaker 5>you know, I figure if dj Kuzmo gets to who
<v Speaker 5>we Love get to email and a voicemail every show,
<v Speaker 5>maybe I can get two voicemails. But you know, after
<v Speaker 5>watching the Rollins Punk cage match last night, one of
<v Speaker 5>the things that's been really bothering me a little bit
<v Speaker 5>about cage matches in today's WWE is that one of
<v Speaker 5>the most exciting aspects of a cage match is the escape,
<v Speaker 5>not through the door, but climbing over the cage and
<v Speaker 5>your feet touching the floor. Since when did that completely
<v Speaker 5>disappear from you know, from a cage match in ww
<v Speaker 5>I mean, why is it just walking through the door
<v Speaker 5>or a pin. I remember cage matches back in the
<v Speaker 5>day where you could only win by climbing out of
<v Speaker 5>the cage, not through the door, but by literally climbing
<v Speaker 5>over it. I just missed that. I think that's a
<v Speaker 5>really fun way to end the cage match. There's so
<v Speaker 5>much drama with the climbing and you know, getting pulled
<v Speaker 5>down potentially, or they're over the top and they get
<v Speaker 5>kind of sucked back in. I don't know, man, I
<v Speaker 5>just wish that that was still part of the modern
<v Speaker 5>cage match in WWE. But that's all I have. And yeah, man,
<v Speaker 5>that and my other points.
<v Speaker 4>And thanks Matt Brad. Yeah, you will give you two
<v Speaker 4>voicemails of course. Now, Okay, so much I want to
<v Speaker 4>say here, and I promise not to be as long
<v Speaker 4>winded as I can. I have been a proponent of
<v Speaker 4>Cody going heel up to the point when John turns heel.
<v Speaker 4>Now there have been reports that it was Cody who
<v Speaker 4>they wanted to turn heel. Cody pushed back on it.
<v Speaker 4>Of course that's all just from the outside looking in.
<v Speaker 4>We don't know what's true, it's not. But my point
<v Speaker 4>is still the same. Even if that was the case
<v Speaker 4>or is not the case, John turn heel, You're not
<v Speaker 4>gonna have Cody do it. I still believe Cody's best
<v Speaker 4>days as a heel are going to be his best
<v Speaker 4>days of his career. I still truly believe that. But
<v Speaker 4>if that is going to be the case, you can't
<v Speaker 4>do it during a John Cena run. I don't foresee
<v Speaker 4>Cody turning heel now a minimum until WrestleMania forty two.
<v Speaker 4>Minimum minimum, bare minimum. It's really now. I know you're
<v Speaker 4>saying ten years, and that would ideally be a fun
<v Speaker 4>thing to do, but there's so many factors between now
<v Speaker 4>and then. Number One, John Cena's character of twenty five now,
<v Speaker 4>they like to round up. It's not exactly twenty five
<v Speaker 4>years as a babyface, but let's go with it. Twenty
<v Speaker 4>five years as a babyface. That's unheard of, it's unprecedented.
<v Speaker 4>You don't ever do that. The only one who came
<v Speaker 4>close again is Hulcoke. Right, I'll call again. That's everyone's
<v Speaker 4>comparing the nWo turn and the outsiders coming in a
<v Speaker 4>Bash of the Beach in ninety six of course, a
<v Speaker 4>massive moment wrestling, an industry changing moment, truly, John Cena
<v Speaker 4>industry changing. I don't know, as I've said, his heel
<v Speaker 4>turn is a little cold water poured on it, given
<v Speaker 4>the fact that he's only back for a very short
<v Speaker 4>window and you can't really capitalize as much as you
<v Speaker 4>normally would on a heel turn like this. But still
<v Speaker 4>fun and I totally agree with it nonetheless, But ten
<v Speaker 4>years is I don't think we will go that long.
<v Speaker 4>Number one. Johnsen is a generational talent. He's a once
<v Speaker 4>in a generation talent. The crowd was polarized on him
<v Speaker 4>for a long time. Some of them never viewed him
<v Speaker 4>as a baby face, even though he was cast as one.
<v Speaker 4>They booed him regardless, which is what spurred the John
<v Speaker 4>Cena let's go Seina chance. John Cena sucks. You know,
<v Speaker 4>Sina sucks. Let's go see a chance. That went on
<v Speaker 4>for his entire career. But also, I don't think you're
<v Speaker 4>gonna be able to keep the fans at bay that long.
<v Speaker 4>They did it with Sena, but that's that is so
<v Speaker 4>much more the exception than the rule for them to
<v Speaker 4>go ten years with Cody being this same guy on
<v Speaker 4>a regular basis or even fading out into a part
<v Speaker 4>time basis. It's going to be nearly impossible to keep
<v Speaker 4>them as a babyface. Nearly impossible because the fans get bored,
<v Speaker 4>and they get bored quickly, and you're also strangle holding
<v Speaker 4>all the opponents that Cody could be working with. There's
<v Speaker 4>only so much you can do as a babyface. Only
<v Speaker 4>so far your character can grow as a babyface. You're
<v Speaker 4>missing a whole other side of that people would love
<v Speaker 4>to see, and I think the fans would just force
<v Speaker 4>it to happen before the ten year mark was up.
<v Speaker 4>The fans would just they do it outright rejected, they
<v Speaker 4>would turn on them. Hell, let me see what they
<v Speaker 4>did to the Rock in two thousand and two against
<v Speaker 4>Hogan at Wrestleman eighteen. Turn the Rock Heel forced them
<v Speaker 4>to even though Hogan was playing the babyface in that
<v Speaker 4>or the heel in that particular matchup. You know that there,
<v Speaker 4>it wouldn't make the ten year mark. I know what
<v Speaker 4>you're saying, and sure it'd be fun to replicate it
<v Speaker 4>in ten years, but that's a that's four eternities in
<v Speaker 4>wrestling speak. You know, people can't remember what happened last week.
<v Speaker 4>You want to add ten years to that, and you know,
<v Speaker 4>I totally get the premise. I just don't think it
<v Speaker 4>would last that long. I still think Cody as a
<v Speaker 4>heel is going to be just epic, but not right now.
<v Speaker 4>I'm willing to ride this babyface road as much as possible.
<v Speaker 4>The fans continue to support them, the merchandise dollars continue
<v Speaker 4>to come in, and why not go until the wheels
<v Speaker 4>fall off? That's fine. I've been pushing for it up
<v Speaker 4>until seeing the turnt heel and I'm like, all right,
<v Speaker 4>you can't have two massive heel turns like that. Somebody's
<v Speaker 4>got to be the babyface and Cody can play that
<v Speaker 4>role very well, and the crowd continues to suppor him,
<v Speaker 4>which is the most important thing. One thing I do
<v Speaker 4>want to talk or one thing I do want to say,
<v Speaker 4>and it wasn't anything you asked, but before I don't
<v Speaker 4>remember to say it, I want to mention it and
<v Speaker 4>then yes, I will answer you about the third man
<v Speaker 4>being Vince McMahon, which is just a crazy ass idea
<v Speaker 4>jay us. I meant to say his victory with the
<v Speaker 4>crossbody was an awesome thing because while people lost their
<v Speaker 4>minds over it and said it was ridiculous. It adds
<v Speaker 4>a layer of Hey, matches can end at any time, anytime,
<v Speaker 4>and what the hell does it matter for Austin theory.
<v Speaker 4>Austin theory is doing nothing and going nowhere right now,
<v Speaker 4>So who the hell cares? It doesn't help or hurt
<v Speaker 4>Austin theory does nothing for him. It also adds an
<v Speaker 4>element of wow, Okay, a finisher doesn't have to be
<v Speaker 4>the thing to end a match. Cool, I like that?
<v Speaker 4>Is a crossbody a little ridiculous. Yeah, it could have
<v Speaker 4>been just one of his you know, forty eight superkicks,
<v Speaker 4>one of those. Maybe he could have done it, but
<v Speaker 4>they chose a crossbody. I don't mind that at all.
<v Speaker 4>It can happen every now and then. Educating your audience
<v Speaker 4>that it doesn't have to be a finisher adds a
<v Speaker 4>lot of intrigue to when matches go longer. It doesn't
<v Speaker 4>have to be a finish that ends the match. It'll
<v Speaker 4>make you pay attention more to the match than just
<v Speaker 4>waiting for the quote unquote finish sequence, because that finishing
<v Speaker 4>sequence you can feel coming. You see it back and
<v Speaker 4>forth when they start to try to attempt their finishers,
<v Speaker 4>and it's reversed and reversed, and hope someone finally hits one,
<v Speaker 4>but then you know it's gonna be kicked out of
<v Speaker 4>because hey, everyone kicks out of finishers these days. When
<v Speaker 4>it can be just a regular move that ends a match,
<v Speaker 4>it actually makes sense, It makes sense, and I think
<v Speaker 4>it does nothing but add intrigue to matches generally. All right,
<v Speaker 4>So your question, and I'll end with this, and I'll
<v Speaker 4>end this podcast or this episode with this answer. Vince
<v Speaker 4>McMahon being the third man to align with The Rock
<v Speaker 4>and John Cena, it would be earth shattering. As you
<v Speaker 4>said you talk about, this would be bigger than Stone
<v Speaker 4>Cold coming back in stun the Rock, which in his
<v Speaker 4>own right is going to be and I think it
<v Speaker 4>still is going to happen. It is going to be
<v Speaker 4>massive news and hilarious and bring back all the feels
<v Speaker 4>and give us goosebumps even though we know it's all coming.
<v Speaker 4>It doesn't matter. It's going to be awesome. That's you know,
<v Speaker 4>still is what it is. But Vince McMahon, given all
<v Speaker 4>of the controversy, as you said, all the lawsuits that
<v Speaker 4>are seemingly wrapped up, and he's put that behind him,
<v Speaker 4>Vince McMahon being the guy would be there's no other words,
<v Speaker 4>earth shattering, like you said, Not for him to come
<v Speaker 4>back long term, not for him to be involved on
<v Speaker 4>a week to week basis or wrestling, of course not.
<v Speaker 4>But to hear this is the No Chance music hit
<v Speaker 4>at WrestleMania, people would lose their minds. And I think
<v Speaker 4>he would actually get cheered. I think at first people
<v Speaker 4>would cheer and be because, like, oh my god, Vince
<v Speaker 4>McMahon's back. I think he would get an incredible ovation,
<v Speaker 4>despite the fact I know a lot of people listening
<v Speaker 4>to this would say Vince's the devil, He's Satan himself. Yep, okay, fine,
<v Speaker 4>you say that on the show, right, or you say
<v Speaker 4>it as a listener. If you're in the arena at
<v Speaker 4>WrestleMania and Vince McMahon is revealed as the third man
<v Speaker 4>to maybe the mastermind behind the whole thing, and he
<v Speaker 4>comes out, if you hear the No Chance music, you
<v Speaker 4>are screaming, like the rest of the men and women
<v Speaker 4>and girls and boys in the audience, you're gonna lose it.
<v Speaker 4>I don't care how much you sit here and you
<v Speaker 4>know you say you hate him. You would because a
<v Speaker 4>It's that big of a moment for the guy that
<v Speaker 4>used to own this company to come back just for
<v Speaker 4>even a night and have a spot in the show.
<v Speaker 4>I don't even to say about it. And in fact,
<v Speaker 4>that we'd even set up Stone Cold's return even better
<v Speaker 4>given the history of Vince and the Rock especially and
<v Speaker 4>hitting a stunner, I mean, this is just fantasy, fantasy,
<v Speaker 4>you know, video game booking, stunning the Rock, stunning Sina,
<v Speaker 4>stunning Vince if I mean, although Vince doesn't have exactly
<v Speaker 4>the best record of taking stunners, even just at an
<v Speaker 4>acceptable in an acceptable way, given what he did at
<v Speaker 4>WrestleMania thirty eight, my god, it was just I mean,
<v Speaker 4>I've seen Vince take some bad stunners. This one he
<v Speaker 4>couldn't even stand up straight, he had no balance. So
<v Speaker 4>I do wonder about Vince's actual health. Again, I don't
<v Speaker 4>want him wrestling. Nobody needs him wrestling. I mean, I've
<v Speaker 4>seen him walking with a cane as of late, so
<v Speaker 4>I don't know what that's about, if that's even you know,
<v Speaker 4>anything major or not. But if Vince can somehow be
<v Speaker 4>revealed as the third man, just for a night, not
<v Speaker 4>anything long term, it would it would shake the total
<v Speaker 4>it would shake the industry. People would be that's all.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, people be just mind blown because everyone has
<v Speaker 4>just in their minds decided they're never going to see
<v Speaker 4>Vince McMahon on w B television again. But what better
<v Speaker 4>place than at WrestleMania to do it, and again with
<v Speaker 4>the lawsuits all wrapped up. That's the biggest thing. If
<v Speaker 4>I'm TKO, you know, if I'm endeavor, I'm thinking, Okay,
<v Speaker 4>I don't want to get myself in any hot water.
<v Speaker 4>I want to make sure that I'm not going to
<v Speaker 4>put myself in a bad place from a public perception.
<v Speaker 4>You know, our our shareholders and stockholders, and I don't
<v Speaker 4>think it would. I think it would do nothing more
<v Speaker 4>than it would be nothing but positive. You can say
<v Speaker 4>all you want about Vince and his his personal issues
<v Speaker 4>and everything else. Number One, we're all here because of
<v Speaker 4>Vince McMahon, and I'm an a vincement I'm not a
<v Speaker 4>Vince mcmaan apologist. I'm talking about a pure professional level professional,
<v Speaker 4>not as personal endeavors and his woes and his merit,
<v Speaker 4>extramarital affairs and the way he treated some of the
<v Speaker 4>talent and set times. Being a heartless businessman, but professionally,
<v Speaker 4>he is the reason we are all here. He's the
<v Speaker 4>reason you're listening to my voice right now. He's the
<v Speaker 4>reason that wrestling podcasts exist. He's the reason wrestling went
<v Speaker 4>national rest The word WrestleMania wouldn't even be in your
<v Speaker 4>vocabulary without Vince McMahon. The moments, every single moment that
<v Speaker 4>happened at WrestleMania would not have existed had it not
<v Speaker 4>been for Vince McMahon. So before we all go and
<v Speaker 4>you know, say that he's satan himself, remember the reason
<v Speaker 4>that a lot of you have a passion for pro wrestling,
<v Speaker 4>and it's primarily due to Vince McMahon. Despite all the
<v Speaker 4>things you don't like about him that have nothing to
<v Speaker 4>do with what he did and accomplished in the industry,
<v Speaker 4>you can't deny his success. There's nothing that you could
<v Speaker 4>say that denies his success. So my point is not
<v Speaker 4>to sit here and go, I I approve of everything
<v Speaker 4>Vince did and he's the best. No. No, I'm putting
<v Speaker 4>my personal feelings aside for his personal issues because that's irrelevant.
<v Speaker 4>I'm saying from a industry perspective. Vince McMahon at WrestleMania
<v Speaker 4>this year. It would be bigger than any return you
<v Speaker 4>could possibly imagine. I cannot from even from a talent perspective,
<v Speaker 4>think of a bigger return Hulk Hogan, No, unless he's
<v Speaker 4>gonna be a heel. No, nobody wants to see Hogan,
<v Speaker 4>no undertaker. Yeah, it'd be fun. We saw it at
<v Speaker 4>WrestleMania at forty. Be fun. Maybe a choke slam, whatever,
<v Speaker 4>you could have a little nostalgic fun there, Stone Cold
<v Speaker 4>Ce of Austin, you get a little bit closer there,
<v Speaker 4>but still, Vince McMahon, I think his return, because of
<v Speaker 4>the shock value, you would be a bigger return. Boy.
<v Speaker 4>All right, you've gotten me all hyped up for something
<v Speaker 4>that is unlikely. But in this era of Paul Levac
<v Speaker 4>and thinking long term and with his you know, his
<v Speaker 4>lawsuits wrapped up, not out of the realm of possibility
<v Speaker 4>for a one night only thing with Vince and then
<v Speaker 4>see you later. Vince wouldn't say no to that. This
<v Speaker 4>is his baby, this is WrestleMania. And now, Brad, you
<v Speaker 4>are forcing me to look at plane tickets for something
<v Speaker 4>that probably won't happen. But boys, it's fun to think about.
