[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to the Forty K-Lorecast.
[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to Forty K. Lorcats with me, John Barsati and Brad Jester.
[SPEAKER_01]: On today's cast, we'll conclude our coverage with the space walls with a deep dive just into the characters themselves.
[SPEAKER_01]: Boo, yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: For those who renew to the cast, the Forty K. Lorcats, a weekly podcast, focusing on the massive lore of the Forty K universe, releasing every Monday at seven PM Eastern time on all podcasting platforms.
[SPEAKER_01]: That sounded professional.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it doesn't sound professional, the fact that
[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't know what time we released until we started putting this down in the podcast.
[SPEAKER_02]: I only because I'm going to put it there, but yeah, I mean, I knew what day we were, but if you would have put a gun to my head and said, when do we release the cast out of like Brad's getting shot?
[SPEAKER_01]: Monday late.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
[SPEAKER_01]: So before we begin, a couple of requests for us.
[SPEAKER_01]: First, please like and comment on the podcast.
[SPEAKER_01]: It really does help the algorithm massively.
[SPEAKER_01]: Also, I enjoy reading them.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the more comments, the more enjoy my coffee in the morning.
[SPEAKER_01]: Some of you guys have some pretty good senses of humor.
[SPEAKER_01]: Additionally, there's a discord link that's inside the show notes or you can go to the Forty K lorecast.com or website and find it there.
[SPEAKER_01]: You can go there.
[SPEAKER_01]: Our discord is a fully free community for anyone who wants to spend more time interacting around Forty K.
[SPEAKER_01]: the game, the lore, video gaming, hobby, whatever it is.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a please if you're interested join.
[SPEAKER_01]: At the same time, we're going to keep doing this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Kevin, Maisie, Brian, Ethan, Steve, Ryan, Trevor, David.
[SPEAKER_01]: Those are the mods that we have running this.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's fantastic for us to have them.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's really made this discord functional.
[SPEAKER_01]: for pushing five thousand members a time of recording.
[SPEAKER_01]: So you can imagine having five thousand people in a giant chat text.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's probably good to have someone organized said jet text and moderate said jet text.
[SPEAKER_02]: Also, we have channels that just pop out for specifically things that I've apparently dreamed about.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and obviously the obvious one of my favorite things they do is they also get all the bots out too because one of it, but that's the number one killer of most of these that's a platform is you have endless bots that are spamming everybody.
[SPEAKER_01]: Also, big thank you to Caleb D, the crew at Hatch Distilling.
[SPEAKER_01]: They had some great whiskey and bourbon from them.
[SPEAKER_01]: This stuff is delicious.
[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, so if today's cast ends up drunk, everyone blame Caleb.
[SPEAKER_01]: Not ours.
[SPEAKER_01]: Additionally, the Forty-K-Lorecasts are web page.
[SPEAKER_01]: We do have merchandise there now.
[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't mentioned that in a while.
[SPEAKER_01]: We now have things like objective markers, dice, and all sorts of clothing.
[SPEAKER_01]: You can go there and get linked to Etsy.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's also just on Etsy.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not that good at a website designer.
[SPEAKER_02]: Never think of that, but stuff from this own website.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Brad bought stuff from it to which I told him, you know, I can just order it.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I had to fulfill an order to Brad.
[SPEAKER_02]: John was very confused.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was just like literally you placed this order and then drove to my house.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't make great decisions.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was amazing.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was the same time.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, speaking of bread and decisions.
[SPEAKER_01]: Brad is a coach for forty cases what he does.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the thing about this, people are saying, Brad spends eighty plus hours a week on more hammer between coaching, playing, talking to us, et cetera.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is a big part of his life, and he actually still enjoys it, which is why I strongly recommend him for coaching services.
[SPEAKER_01]: You've got someone who's not doing this begrudgingly.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is what he has a real passion about.
[SPEAKER_01]: I do get pretty excited.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so for people who want to know play more and understand it a bit better,
[SPEAKER_01]: Brad's really your best option.
[SPEAKER_01]: He can teach you aiding from a brand new player all at the full veteran.
[SPEAKER_01]: If you want to know more about what Brad's offering, you can now go to our website, the Forty Kayloricast.com.
[SPEAKER_01]: You can go to the Discord and message him there.
[SPEAKER_02]: Or you can email him at old man Brad Forty Kay.
[SPEAKER_02]: Gmail.com.
[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, bots.
[SPEAKER_02]: I look forward to hearing from you.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, with that, let's jump into space wolves.
[SPEAKER_01]: Before we begin, I do want to take one to apologize to die hard space wolf fans out there.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's just not enough time for us to cover every space wolf hero.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, we pick the ones that are our personal favorites, but that may not be your personal favorite, so if we don't cover them, one or two things will happen.
[SPEAKER_01]: Either we will never cover them.
[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
[SPEAKER_01]: just kidding, or more realistically, they will probably come up as we're talking about future lore.
[SPEAKER_01]: One thing that, for example, we're going to see a lot of as a lot of characters who we missed in their cast, are going to come up as we're discussing Abadon's thirteenth crusade, for example, the rise of the Yenari.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there's tons of events we may even talk about.
[SPEAKER_01]: We may dive into the town spheres of expansion, for example, tiered invasions, all these things, so your character may come up there.
[SPEAKER_01]: So wait.
[SPEAKER_01]: off we go.
[SPEAKER_01]: Remember answers.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to start with these because it's important for space wolves.
[SPEAKER_02]: A hundred percent because of the fact these were the embedded wartime journalists sort of.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I mean, that was supposed to be what they were.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's a good way, but yeah, they were, they were, they're technically the embedded journalists.
[SPEAKER_01]: The issue is who they work for.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they're wild propaganda pieces.
[SPEAKER_01]: They basically work directly for the inquisition.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so the remembersers, if you've read the novels, they play a big role in the novels.
[SPEAKER_01]: They haven't really touched them yet, so I went ahead and real quick here.
[SPEAKER_01]: The remembersers job is just to sit there, be at the battles and record what happens in the battle for the Imperium.
[SPEAKER_01]: These are different than like the ad-mic records, which are the actual recordings of what happened in the battle, because obviously every space Marine
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they had extra just Walter Cronkite in it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is what happened.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for example, like, yeah, the space marine armor, which I have complained about, but realistically does have a, it records.
[SPEAKER_01]: All of this, all the tanks, all the separate court, the Imperium has a perfect recording of every single battle.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're not relying on some dude with a pen and paper to tell them what happened at the battle.
[SPEAKER_01]: But the remembranceers job is to take what happened the battle and kind of spin it into these amazing tales.
[SPEAKER_02]: They want the propaganda piece.
[SPEAKER_02]: They want the angels to be shown.
[SPEAKER_02]: And certain people were super excited to have them with them.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, cough cough, emperors children were thrilled.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't understand why there isn't three.
[SPEAKER_01]: Remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember, remember.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm part of the empiric.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they did it because they were told to and they just said, well, fine.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: However, the space wolves, and then we're dealing with for the space wolves, primarily hated the remembranceers for a number of reasons.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, they also, well, we'll go to the reason why they hated it, but also, spaces are super good at getting the remembranceers killed.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, they were very good at asking remembers to hold something and the something was a grenade that had no pin in it.
[SPEAKER_02]: You can just come with me.
[SPEAKER_02]: Nothing shows the video better than a front line charge.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that was that was originally Lehman got super mad about them because they were slowing him down because the story is great.
[SPEAKER_01]: Originally the first remembers or two were all assigned to space wolves all just died because the space wolves went like, oh, is this person supposed to follow me into battle?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay, and that they would come out of a drop pod with their remembrance and run straight into enemy fire with, you know, what they holding this guy.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and just some person in like a T-shirt and shorts.
[SPEAKER_02]: They had ten.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Who they're being probably just holding in front of them like a shield.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Have you seen Wolverine and Deadpool?
[SPEAKER_02]: That was happening.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Quite a bit.
[SPEAKER_01]: Are you gonna regen that?
[SPEAKER_01]: Regeneration.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, oh, they're not covered in armor.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they all died at which point, quickly, yeah, Leaming gets yelled at and he said, look, you have to protect them.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he's saying, no, I'm trying to go fast and kill things.
[SPEAKER_01]: And this person sucks at both of those.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't want them at that.
[SPEAKER_01]: This point, the member in series as we were discussing, just start mysteriously dying constantly.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, also think about this.
[SPEAKER_02]: The space wolves.
[SPEAKER_02]: are super proud of their, of their lore.
[SPEAKER_02]: They tell their own son, is they don't need, yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: This guy telling a shitty version of my bail wolf epic ball.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because you couldn't be more right.
[SPEAKER_01]: And a remember answer does not have the talent a space wolf has of telling the glory that is a space wolf.
[SPEAKER_02]: How to present this guy's a bum.
[SPEAKER_02]: You got this hack trying to tell my story.
[SPEAKER_02]: Get out of here.
[SPEAKER_01]: What is funny is that the remembrance is also where aware that the space was in one and there.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the space wolves, uh, the remembers was did all they could not to get a side to a space wolf.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're like, well, but I was good.
[SPEAKER_02]: No one yet.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're a lot.
[SPEAKER_01]: I am like a die.
[SPEAKER_01]: There is no like just send a send a servo skull.
[SPEAKER_01]: Please just send a servo skull.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's no reason to be here.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, to that end, the reason we bring this up is we're about to talk about space wolf characters and all of their stories and all this stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: The space wolves did actually have their own remembranceers.
[SPEAKER_01]: You mean skulls?
[SPEAKER_01]: Because they're awesome.
[SPEAKER_01]: The skulls were often, they were either remembranceers who got converted by the space wolves and how to actually do this stuff, or they was someone that the space wolf just found along the way and converted over.
[SPEAKER_01]: So as with all space wolves, they have something similar enough to what the rest of the Imperium has, but to the space wolves, it's better.
[SPEAKER_02]: And this is a big deal because the blood clots, the youth, all they, they're so, I mean, there's a reason why they have the special role headstrong because they're told the stories, the entire time they're indoctrinated into the Legion.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the stories are mostly true.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're embellished a little bit.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're supposed to be mostly true.
[SPEAKER_02]: They want, that's the whole thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like when you're talking about the trials of Hercules and all these kind of things, you want?
[SPEAKER_01]: Those aren't true.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm saying, no.
[SPEAKER_02]: In the stories of it, those that you went with, these stories are mostly true and then went to Hercules.
[SPEAKER_01]: The stories about him, he is, you know, what we're killing now.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just, you know, that's, that there's no snare I'm editing that out.
[SPEAKER_02]: by point is that when you do those, they're supposed to be outlandish, opposed to when he actually does.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, where is with the blood clause and the stories of space will try to tell, it gives him something to look up to this tells, and this is how great you can be because others space will tell.
[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
[SPEAKER_02]: But the thing is, is that you want them to be romanticized and amazing because
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a poor sucks.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's also pretty boring for the most of the time.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's it's gritty dirty and sucky.
[SPEAKER_02]: You want to romanticize version of it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, to go out there and inspiring it.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, completely.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's not inspiring to say I was sitting in the mud.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, shooting a shooting at a creature made of mud.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, just you want to go to boring sighting.
[SPEAKER_01]: But if we're going to be exciting we're going to jump around a little bit on these characters, but I'm going to open with we're going to open and close on my two personal favorites.
[SPEAKER_01]: So my first one we're open with is Bjorn.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, well, I'll give this full deal.
[SPEAKER_01]: Bjorn the fell hand.
[SPEAKER_01]: There we go.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Bjorn is currently the oldest being in the
[SPEAKER_01]: He's at the run to eleven thousand years old.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think now he's pushing it to that realm.
[SPEAKER_02]: He's been around since the beginning.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because he was there in the great crusades.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it puts us in about eleven thousand years old.
[SPEAKER_02]: He's also had a model since second edition, which is also his original model is two inches tall.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's not that it modeling for advantage.
[SPEAKER_01]: You might you might get a small.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: He could read his original model could ride inside a rider.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: But Bjorn is awesome.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so let's talk about Bjorn for a bit.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Fenris, he and native, he established himself very early within the space world as being a really good leader.
[SPEAKER_01]: And which for space world just means he was a good warrior who stood in the front.
[SPEAKER_01]: So.
[SPEAKER_01]: He was no to be even tempered for a space wolf.
[SPEAKER_01]: That was, well, even tempered more.
[SPEAKER_01]: He would think for a matter of maybe four seconds.
[SPEAKER_01]: True.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's, he knows it's being the practical guy.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, especially now that he's dread not.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's he practical for a space wolf.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: He's also been around forever.
[SPEAKER_02]: So he's just like, we don't need to do that.
[SPEAKER_01]: But so he had a couple of big glow-ups.
[SPEAKER_01]: If we're talking about Bjorn, the first one that big glow-up he had was actually during the Battle of Prospero.
[SPEAKER_01]: And during the Battle of Prospero, he's leading a pack to, again, to kill every thousand sun.
[SPEAKER_01]: While he's there, one of the Skjalds, that's with him, which, long story short, he actually, this Skjald was originally a remember answer.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Bjorn shot his shuttlecraft down.
[SPEAKER_01]: And after saying, say, sorry about shooting your ship down, I thought it was an invader.
[SPEAKER_01]: They actually became friends.
[SPEAKER_02]: He also has the tanks out with him all the time.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's classic species kind of why we have so many Bjorn stories because he has a guy.
[SPEAKER_01]: He has his own skill who just run all around going like and Bjorn's awesome.
[SPEAKER_01]: And this is a great example of Bjorn being awesome while they're invading Prospero, a demon is there and it turns his attention to Bjorn.
[SPEAKER_01]: It actually tries to possess Bjorn's friend the skill.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Bjorn deals with this the only way that you would handle it even by hitting it in the face over and over again with it with an axe.
[SPEAKER_01]: The demon doesn't really care for this and decides to use all of its warp power to try and disintegrate Bjorn and blasts his non-ax holding arm with a disintegration spell.
[SPEAKER_01]: Bjorn ignores, well Bjorn feels his arm disintegrating and basically goes off with I didn't hear no bell and keeps hitting the demon in the face with his axe.
[SPEAKER_02]: Still got my good arm.
[SPEAKER_01]: Still got my ax arm, y'all.
[SPEAKER_01]: Long enough for Constantine Valdor to show up, see it.
[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't just show up myself.
[SPEAKER_02]: He shows up with a sister's son.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, fighting.
[SPEAKER_01]: Shops off Bjorn's arm as his disintegrating.
[SPEAKER_01]: Bjorn, again, couldn't care less in continues hammering the demon in a face with his axe, which then draws the attention of two dreadnots who were nearby.
[SPEAKER_02]: River dance.
[SPEAKER_01]: Stop the demon to death.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just a good story.
[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, that was that the skilled wrote that one down.
[SPEAKER_01]: However, my favorite Bjorn story was involves Arvex, who's a demon king of corn.
[SPEAKER_01]: A monstrous.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, yeah, this demon king, we say demon king worked that's demon prince, blood therster, it's whatever you want to call it.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's an incursion.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is, and the first time Bjorn encounters him, they, it, Lehman Ross is even there.
[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, let's sip it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Bjorn's first encounter with Arvax is on a world in rebellion.
[SPEAKER_01]: They get and the spaceholder sent to deal with this rebellion and it is a full-blown corn rebellion led by a demon king of corn.
[SPEAKER_02]: The in this story is a lot of Bjorn's stories, which almost all of them are, I didn't hear no bell.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because everyone gets killed besides Bjorn.
[SPEAKER_02]: And he's just like, yep, it's Tuesday.
[SPEAKER_02]: Don't give a shit.
[SPEAKER_02]: Let's bring.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Bjorn said everyone around him is dead.
[SPEAKER_01]: Lehman rush shows up to go save the day and arrive just in time to see an enraged Bjorn attack a demon king, the witch by like Lehman rush just stops and goes, I'm watching this and watches his buddy.
[SPEAKER_01]: beat a demon king until a demon king runs away.
[SPEAKER_01]: But that's what happened.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is demon king gave up on fight with your heart.
[SPEAKER_02]: In the best part is Bjorn's response to this, which is he's mortified, shamed that he didn't kill him.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're like, you just stood by yourself against a wave after wave and it means he's like, yeah, but he's still all that's before.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he didn't just fight the danger.
[SPEAKER_01]: He killed all of everybody else every blood letter all of the and then beat up the demon king who then retreated.
[SPEAKER_01]: But of course after the battle, they're having, they're doing a big funeral pire, they're burning all of his dead, and Bjorn is just destitute sitting there.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's so upset.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just looking at him like, are they just for him?
[SPEAKER_02]: Are they still alive?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Arvex still alive worth leaving Russes like that's the greatest warrior I have.
[SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, fast forward five years, Arvex reappears.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the shit for him.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Lehman again arrives with Bjorn, and they recognize his R-vax, and Lehman just turns the Bjorn and goes, all right, do your thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: Bjorn, yellow swags himself straight through all the corn demons, just slaughtering them, running as fast as he can in screaming at the demon king.
[SPEAKER_01]: They engage in battle.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this is again, a demon king who's now even more power from the last time they fought.
[SPEAKER_01]: Bjorn starts ducking his blows, climbs him.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, that's how big this is.
[SPEAKER_01]: Bjorn is a space Marine.
[SPEAKER_01]: So nine feet tall or maybe, maybe, you know,
[SPEAKER_01]: ends up jumping on this giant creature climbs up its body and rips its throat out with his power claw.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think you meant to say he rode house throat ripped him after the battle.
[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
[SPEAKER_01]: I should have mentioned every single space marine watches this happened.
[SPEAKER_01]: It is true.
[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody's just like, no, no, no.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let him do his thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: No one help.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is this is awesome.
[SPEAKER_01]: After the battle, of course, Lehman just walks over and says, yeah, you're in the honor guard now.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Bjorn becomes one of the main pieces of Lehman's honor guard, which was primarily made up by the way at this point of the people that Lehman brought with him after the emperor arrived.
[SPEAKER_01]: Most of the honor guard at this stage were the warriors who served with Lehman before the emperor had arrived.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Bjorn being in this group is an incredible honor.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's also danger zone as we go with when Lehman decides to yellow swag to Horace, which, by the way, is something that swathes will continue to do to this day, which it's just show up places in the middle of things.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love this story about Bjorn, because it's another one of just how incredibly strong and tough he is.
[SPEAKER_01]: Bjorning, we talked about this during the Horace Harris episode, Lehman decided to go stab Horace in the chest.
[SPEAKER_01]: Not to kill him, but just to go stab him in the chest.
[SPEAKER_01]: The bridge of Horace's own ships.
[SPEAKER_02]: So it's not like he saw him somewhere and went to fight.
[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, nah, how about if I take a couple of my best buds?
[SPEAKER_01]: and just show up on in the bridge of his command ship and stabbing with my spear, which is exactly what he did.
[SPEAKER_01]: However, he was, when he did his lean was stabbing a borderline demon prince god.
[SPEAKER_01]: So it didn't quite kill him and they were surrounded by the entirety of the ship.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Horace shoves his claw straight in through Lehman and just drops him in the process.
[SPEAKER_02]: that what's happens when someone puts their hand from one side of your body to the other.
[SPEAKER_01]: Bjorn sees this runs over and grabs Lehman his primar.
[SPEAKER_02]: He also body blocks everybody else.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Lehman's maybe fifty at least thirty percent bigger than Bjorn.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know if you have tried to carry a being who's even half, just carry your child.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not that comfortable.
[SPEAKER_01]: Bjorn's picking up, you know, Bjorn is basically a child picking up an adult.
[SPEAKER_01]: while fighting other people, while fighting with his freehand and carries him full speed back through the ship to then teleport back out.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's not like they just went.
[SPEAKER_02]: We waited patiently for you to pick up your primer.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, they weren't actively trying to kill him.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's pretty clear at this stage, you know, Bjorn's pretty good at this.
[SPEAKER_01]: The tragic part of the Bjorn story that was what happens next.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, let's give him his other prop because when Lehman thinks he's going to die, he tells Bjorn to carry on.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think I forgot about that.
[SPEAKER_01]: He did, he did effectively put Bjorn in charge because he thought that the horse power car of the chest was going to end him, but it didn't.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, one thing that's kind of sad is that when Lehman leaves to the eye of terror to go, this Brex Bjorn, yeah, to go, he brings his entire honor guard except Bjorn.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the reason he does this is what Brad just mentioned because he knew Bjorn was the only member of the entire space worlds who could lead in his stead.
[SPEAKER_01]: But like his dad, he doesn't tell it beyond that.
[SPEAKER_01]: He has leaves.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Bjorn thinks that he's been left behind because he did something weird.
[SPEAKER_01]: So for seven years, the space will go without a leader until the space will just realize, Liam is not coming back.
[SPEAKER_01]: Someone's got to be in charge and they all get together and tell Bjorn, you're in charge now.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Bjorn, it's a tough one for him because he, on the one hand, doesn't think he should be in charge because he was left behind.
[SPEAKER_01]: That means, therefore, I failed my prime mark.
[SPEAKER_01]: I shouldn't be in charge.
[SPEAKER_01]: But he also, it was a long, exactly the opposite though.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: But he also loves his legion.
[SPEAKER_01]: More than anything.
[SPEAKER_01]: So when his legion says, we will be lost without you.
[SPEAKER_01]: He has no choice but to lead and he's a hell of a leader.
[SPEAKER_01]: So unfortunately, well,
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, with this G.D.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you went, hey, everything's looking great for the space rules.
[SPEAKER_01]: And well, he does make it like a thousand years at this point.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he was leading for a thousand years though.
[SPEAKER_01]: He was leading seven years after, after Lehman leaves.
[SPEAKER_01]: Lehman leaves not too long at it.
[SPEAKER_02]: As you say, we have to look, they mess up the time so much.
[SPEAKER_01]: The time, the G.W.
[SPEAKER_01]: timelines, anything that happens in between Horace, Heresy, and modern,
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a little bit tight.
[SPEAKER_02]: He did rock solid for a while.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: But eventually, just because, you know, I don't know the story on this.
[SPEAKER_01]: I just know that it's written in the codex that Bjorn takes a shot from some traders, from a fighting traders, and his bodies just completely wrecked.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they put him into a venerable dread not, which is awesome, because now he can never die.
[SPEAKER_01]: But unfortunately, it means Bjorn can't lead any
[SPEAKER_02]: which is a big thing on this because space marines that are entombed in a dread not are effectively put into stasis when it's not a time of war that they need them to come out and although in the game we constantly have dreadnoughts everywhere
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a big deal when you are waking a dreadnab.
[SPEAKER_01]: It has been the game you also play with.
[SPEAKER_01]: Trigger.
[SPEAKER_01]: Trigger.
[SPEAKER_02]: In every time.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, oh, every battle I'm in.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm having dragos here.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, there's a sanctuary guard show up every street.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_02]: All of the sanctuary guard are in every battle.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just when we play on table top.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not all that great.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Bjorn and so Bjorn first, he advocates his throne because he's in a dreadnab and he starts being put into stasis, only for when he's needed most.
[SPEAKER_01]: And let's just say when they wake Bjorn up at a stasis, it's always impressive.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, one, Magnus decides.
[SPEAKER_02]: I love this story.
[SPEAKER_02]: So much role into the fan.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: And they wake Bjorn and Bjorn upon hearing that the Magnus is here is definitely slips.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know what kind of boots of mighty ass kicking you put on for a dreadnought, but he definitely puts those on.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, in the story is hilarious.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm skipping someone else who's involved with the story because I actually don't care for him.
[SPEAKER_01]: The great wolf, because he's been like, oh, I want to go beat up Magnus, and he never did, and then eventually he does.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, but the story's way better.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, Magnus is attacking, and as always, he's winning because the chaos, chaos always wins until they don't win.
[SPEAKER_01]: until they don't, that's just the rule of writing, and this isn't a knock on the writing, just that's how you write antagonists and pro-tagonists.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the battle is going on, Magnus is winning until Bjorn is a woken.
[SPEAKER_01]: Here's busy, Magnus is here, followed by where, and here's what they say, where the sound of a venerable blood not actually occurs.
[SPEAKER_01]: Bjorn and Magnus meet in combat on a cliff because where else would they meet?
[SPEAKER_02]: You're speaking of Jesus.
[SPEAKER_02]: I forgot it.
[SPEAKER_02]: We were going here.
[SPEAKER_01]: Speaking of I didn't hear no bell.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, this is this is amazing.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Bjorn starts off wrecking magnets because he threw his plasma gun on him.
[SPEAKER_01]: So he's got a plasma gun and the world's largest power claw and starts wrecking magnets at which point magnets gets mad and one by one destroys each of magnets is arms.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that's them off.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, literally.
[SPEAKER_01]: removes his arms.
[SPEAKER_01]: Bjorn, then, realize the situation decides to just say, all of the black knight in Monty Python.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, and he begins head budding mag this with his body to try and push him off a cliff.
[SPEAKER_01]: Which, by the way, actually works.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Bjorn, James Magnus, then to the cliff at this moment, the great wolf of the space wolves arrives.
[SPEAKER_01]: He, this guy, Iron Helm has been hunting Magnus for a thousand, five hundred years, thousand years, who knows somewhere in that realm.
[SPEAKER_01]: Not big fan of Magnus, obviously, and this is his chance to fight Magnus.
[SPEAKER_01]: So he then leaps in, does a superhero landing and tackles Magnus off the cliff, leaving Bjorn staying there with his no arms.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they start fighting in the air, which is pretty awesome.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: He fight in the air all the way down.
[SPEAKER_01]: He breaks Magnus' body, but Magnus kills him back.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: And we're going quick here.
[SPEAKER_01]: The book is a battle of the Fang if you like space wolves.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of a badass.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's one of the required books if you like space wolves.
[SPEAKER_01]: Bjorn also has more of a story role within the wolves that I also like a lot.
[SPEAKER_01]: So every thousand years the space wolves celebrate for the of Lehman's departure into the eye of terror with a giant party.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, this is one of my favorite things about Bjorn because Bjorn
[SPEAKER_02]: gets a woken and then sits down as a dread not and basically tells grandpa's stories.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's also legion.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_02]: He's sitting there as a dread not.
[SPEAKER_01]: So he's got this super big dread not voice, but it's so perfect though because the whole idea is the idea is we are here every thousand years.
[SPEAKER_01]: We are going to celebrate our primarq.
[SPEAKER_01]: We could tell you the stories that have been written down about him.
[SPEAKER_01]: Or we could wake up the guy who was next to him.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the part of the story I love they describe is that this is a incredibly drunken and lively event.
[SPEAKER_01]: The second Bjorn, I don't know if he stands up, I don't know what a dread not does to speak.
[SPEAKER_01]: But the second Bjorn begins, the entire hall goes silent.
[SPEAKER_01]: No one says a word because they just sit there and awe.
[SPEAKER_01]: while listening to Bjorn tell the tales.
[SPEAKER_02]: But it's going to be awesome if you're a modern day space marine.
[SPEAKER_02]: and the tales that are effectively ex-calibur King Arthur tales, you know, like, is any of this rule?
[SPEAKER_02]: You're like, hey, man, I was there.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this guy watched him happen.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: But also, there was five guys, not three guys.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's written down, said this.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no.
[SPEAKER_01]: He punched him, you know, with his right hand, and then his left, and then he actually kicked him in the groin, and then the people's elbow was fantastic.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's actually a bit more on Bjorn later, because he does copy another story that I didn't want to spoil that story.
[SPEAKER_01]: But one quick last little note on Bjorn for we move on is I just want to say thank you to every space wolf player who brings Bjorn in the table top.
[SPEAKER_01]: His models, his rules aren't always great, but there's a lot of space wolf players, so we'll just play him no matter what.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then we'll let you know Bjorn.
[SPEAKER_01]: I strongly appreciate you and I do feel bad killing him.
[SPEAKER_01]: From there, let's jump into kind of just more, this, this cast will be more to kind of celebrating some of my favorite characters.
[SPEAKER_01]: And a quick one, I did, who I just like, again, I like is Harrow Gray Weaver, who I just think epitomizes space walls.
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be right back after a quick break.
[SPEAKER_02]: I gotta get my mojo to get.
[SPEAKER_02]: Get much, because I think my favorite thing about him.
[SPEAKER_02]: First off, I'm jumping the gun.
[SPEAKER_02]: He's a tech Marine.
[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, he's an iron priest because he's not a tech Marine, which is what makes it great.
[SPEAKER_01]: So iron priests are the space wolves.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like they're their sub tech Marines.
[SPEAKER_01]: They still have tech Marines, but they have iron priests.
[SPEAKER_01]: He got he joined the death watch to be their weaponsmith.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so for we haven't done death watch after the death watch have the wrong very special army.
[SPEAKER_01]: In fact, every space may faction has their own armory, but the death watch armory is probably the best.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's he's amazing as a smith.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's the best they've ever had.
[SPEAKER_02]: And also gives zero shits about any rule that's ever been ever.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's all he's just he's also an incorrigible grump.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, the ad MAC did test him because he makes better weaponry than they do.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then, but doesn't follow any of their rules.
[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't know can't.
[SPEAKER_02]: He gives absolutely.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: He won't tell them how he's doing.
[SPEAKER_01]: He just makes stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: The things I like about him though, is he also shit talks other chapters.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because when you're sent to the death watch, it's usually, it's an honor.
[SPEAKER_01]: So when you go over there, your chapter will actually give you special chapter weaponry to take a, what we call relic weaponry to take with you.
[SPEAKER_01]: So you can then really better fight the Zenos and destroy them.
[SPEAKER_01]: They get there and gray weaver will look at it, some, some from Raven Garden, what is this useless blaster you brought with you?
[SPEAKER_01]: because this is our chapter relic, and it's like that thing sucks.
[SPEAKER_02]: Do you want to hand it to me?
[SPEAKER_02]: Because I can make it suck last.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's like, I don't know.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, like, do you guys actually win any battles with your weaponry?
[SPEAKER_01]: I can't figure this out.
[SPEAKER_01]: So everyone basically hates the guy.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that the fact that you want him to fix your shit, but also, you're like, I really don't want this kind of shit talk me for the next two hours.
[SPEAKER_01]: But if he does, my weapon works better.
[SPEAKER_01]: The other one, though, I love is, remember, space wolves are very, very, very loyal to the teachings of the Imperium.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a note written down that, you know, to every single piece of Zino tech that passes through his workbench does so be grudgingly.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's written in the codex.
[SPEAKER_01]: It does so be grudgingly.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, also because originally, they allude to it that apparently he was just breaking.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that doesn't work anymore.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, weird.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, he looks like that's, I don't know what happened.
[SPEAKER_01]: Ten thousand people died so we could have that relic.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my bad.
[SPEAKER_01]: I tripped.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it fell.
[SPEAKER_01]: These neck cron should make their things more sturdy.
[SPEAKER_01]: We saw you hit it with the axe.
[SPEAKER_02]: No.
[SPEAKER_01]: Wasn't me.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, wasn't me.
[SPEAKER_01]: Post this shaggy.
[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, but let's do Brad's favorite Logan Grimdar.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna say it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll say it out right.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love his rules.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love his story.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love how he performs a tabletop.
[SPEAKER_01]: I hate his model with a absolute passion.
[SPEAKER_01]: I hate his model on of his model.
[SPEAKER_01]: I hate his model.
[SPEAKER_01]: I hate every proxy made of his model.
[SPEAKER_01]: I detest this thing with so much.
[SPEAKER_02]: You don't hate him in Terminator armor.
[SPEAKER_01]: When was he in Terminator Armor?
[SPEAKER_01]: He is right now.
[SPEAKER_01]: He can bring this either.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you can't.
[SPEAKER_01]: I do know that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's on me.
[SPEAKER_01]: Fine.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't hate his model.
[SPEAKER_02]: You hate fifty percent of him.
[SPEAKER_01]: I hate.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: I've never seen him in Terminator Armor.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I always see him.
[SPEAKER_02]: He's he's got he's dragging the axe behind.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that's still the same model.
[SPEAKER_01]: Every one I see runs him as a stupid chariot.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is the Santa Slay of Horde.
[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, I might just make that clear.
[SPEAKER_01]: The model for Logan Grimnar is him on a Santa Slay being pulled by two wolves.
[SPEAKER_01]: No.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, no.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I, that being said, I'm going to dive into why I do like him.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so, young warrior in Fenris, like anybody, he catches the eye of the wolf priests really early.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I like like seven years old, whatever.
[SPEAKER_02]: He's also as a
[SPEAKER_02]: Child is already apparently a ninja assassin.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so this is it to the talk at this time when we're talking about for whatever reason they lean more into the Viking thing now.
[SPEAKER_01]: So now they they have long boats.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to dive into that because I'll get I'll get it but he's part of a warrior group that uses long boats to do rating at one point.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're doing a raid and it's just this is a kind of raid you don't do where you're out number thirty to one and they do it anyway.
[SPEAKER_01]: Grimnar just starts hoppin' ship to ship, wrecking people, and eventually, while doing this, the opposing leader that they're invading challenges Grimnar to a duel.
[SPEAKER_01]: This leader is not a child.
[SPEAKER_02]: This is a, well, he just challenged a pre-team to a duel.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is a nine-year-old being challenged by Magnus for Magnus, isn't it?
[SPEAKER_01]: And Grimmar just goes, huh?
[SPEAKER_01]: And he just carries his accident.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, just kills him outright.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the wolf priest who's watching this states that they saw the image of Lehman Russ behind Grimmar as he does this.
[SPEAKER_01]: So obviously, we're gonna add him to the group.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they bring Grimmar in and he goes through all, you know, the normal ritual blah, blah, blah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And now he gets cast up into the wilds beyond the fact.
[SPEAKER_01]: While out there, just love this story, he is very, very cold, and he sees a cave.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'll go to this cave, and I'll get shelter there.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he walks into the cave, and it's just full of dead, spacable for crutes.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're saying keep doing the same thing.
[SPEAKER_02]: Don't keep going the same cave.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's a giant troll.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean luckily it wasn't a deer.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it wasn't a deer.
[SPEAKER_01]: If it was a deer, you would have done some serious trouble.
[SPEAKER_01]: This was just an ice troll.
[SPEAKER_01]: Thank God.
[SPEAKER_01]: The ice troll attacks.
[SPEAKER_01]: Grimnar picks up just a piece of bone and starts jabbing him in the eye with this piece of bone until he kills the troll.
[SPEAKER_02]: And he proceeds to just epic beat it.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's negative a thousand.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he folks, he shows it in the eye, then beats it to death while screaming at it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it doesn't stop for I think the better part of the night is what it is.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're going to go ahead and and chalk that up to passing of the ritual and Grimnar is like, yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Grimmner has made a space world, but what's notable about him is that he is prideful, he is boastful, but he's incredibly brave and fearless.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's also funny.
[SPEAKER_01]: The other thing I like a lot too about it.
[SPEAKER_01]: They talk about when he comes in, even like the older the long fangs, got a kick out of young Grimmner as a blood fan.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, he's the best part about Grimmner.
[SPEAKER_02]: He's a great storyteller.
[SPEAKER_02]: And he motivates everyone
[SPEAKER_02]: But he does the the cunning thing where he'll tell a story that's supposed to be a fun, this story of whoa, but it always has like a meaning to what we're about to do.
[SPEAKER_02]: And I just love that because he's just like, you're like, oh, man, you got some learn on in the middle of that for some reason.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're like, god damn it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's one of the best storytellers.
[SPEAKER_01]: They have who's not a scald.
[SPEAKER_01]: Over time, he rises to the ranks pretty quickly.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of like little quick stories of heroism.
[SPEAKER_01]: Him just demolishing orgs to carry chaos.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like there's one where his the wool floor that he reports into is has a hell of a fall on him.
[SPEAKER_01]: and he's trapped these dying at so Logan does what you should do he runs over and with one hand picks up the hell and with the other hand is punching and hitting with his axe or whatever a bunch of chaos marines who were next to the hell route thereby saving his is lord
[SPEAKER_01]: No surprise over time, Logan becomes a great wolf of the space wolves.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just in time for the first war of Armageddon, and we've covered this a little bit.
[SPEAKER_01]: We've hinted to this in the past, we're going to dive into the level of bad assery that Logan is, but also like why he's a good leader too.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's super loyal.
[SPEAKER_02]: If you're loyal to Logan, he's loyal to you.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he's also a clever leader and he's not just his loyal.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's the thing I like on it.
[SPEAKER_01]: He also brings others to his side.
[SPEAKER_01]: The way that he performs, Logan in a lot of ways is a perfect character because he's not only he's a great fighter, he's a great storyteller, but his actions tend to always come from a place of good and makes others fall behind him.
[SPEAKER_01]: So with all that, we'll kind of go through this pseudo quickly.
[SPEAKER_01]: First more of Armageddon, Angron is leading her attack.
[SPEAKER_01]: planetary defense calls for support, the space wolves arrive.
[SPEAKER_01]: Once the space wolves arrive, they realize what they're fighting.
[SPEAKER_01]: Logan, because he's the great wolf, knows about the Grey Knights.
[SPEAKER_01]: So he calls for the Grey Knights to come and help, which, of course, they do.
[SPEAKER_01]: When they're like, there's a demon prince, we're on our way.
[SPEAKER_02]: We had to do this.
[SPEAKER_02]: We did the cast when we talked about it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Logan rallies the populace of the world.
[SPEAKER_01]: Definitely.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: When the grain at the front grain, I'd get there.
[SPEAKER_01]: The battle has, I would call, stalemated.
[SPEAKER_01]: But the arrival of the grain nights is what pushes it.
[SPEAKER_02]: But they were going to wrecked.
[SPEAKER_02]: And these regular people were taking up arms against demons.
[SPEAKER_02]: We talked about it in that cast.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's John and I ran outside with a stick in a pitch for it to go.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'll last on and let knees.
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what you're doing.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: I got to land my, my litany of don't die to a demon prince.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's a good one to recite.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a very good one.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's probably one of the top ones.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: The litany of blood thirst are hitting.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, the end of the battle ends and there's a problem.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the inquisition just says we have to expunge all knowledge of the great enemy and the all odds of the great nights.
[SPEAKER_01]: Logan in the wolves disagree in the saying, well, look, you know, most of the populist actually was with hold up in their hives.
[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't see any of this stuff, which wasn't actually true.
[SPEAKER_02]: But more importantly, well, he says he can sequester those that did, but also in their mind, these are her heroes now.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's the real.
[SPEAKER_01]: The real reason is that these are heroes.
[SPEAKER_01]: This isn't really a matter of right or whether they saw they didn't see.
[SPEAKER_01]: These are people who saw a blood letter and and charged into it.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's sort of Logan and space.
[SPEAKER_01]: What's the concern?
[SPEAKER_01]: These people are amazing.
[SPEAKER_01]: What are you doing?
[SPEAKER_01]: Hi, Snarros.
[SPEAKER_01]: Who's the leader of the inquisition?
[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's his opinion.
[SPEAKER_01]: So he starts off by ordering that the entire populist be sterilized.
[SPEAKER_01]: The problem will work itself over time.
[SPEAKER_01]: The thing about that, though, which I read it, and I saw it the first time I read it, I'm like, okay, and then after that, they're really like, when you sterilize someone, you don't stop their ability to tell stories.
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's not like, you're not gonna stop word of mouth by making it so they can't kill kids.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you do stop them from telling stories, load them up into ships and blow up the ships.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so what happens is the inquisition orders the evacuation of the planet.
[SPEAKER_01]: And there a whole plan is to just blow the ships up in space.
[SPEAKER_01]: Grimnar catches onto their plan.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so what he decides to do is take his fleet, which is significantly larger, by the way, than the fleet of the inquisition and put it in orbit kind of near where this stuff would only say they would never do anything.
[SPEAKER_01]: First ship of the survivors makes orbit and the English and blows it up with all four hundred thousand people.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's just about say it's four hundred thousand people.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's not like our tiny shit.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's what's the, it's what's not a shuttle.
[SPEAKER_01]: This was everybody.
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, they killed all of them.
[SPEAKER_01]: Grimnar gets pissed, obviously, and says, OK, and now tells his fleet to pin themselves as close as possible to these ships forcing Kaisnaro to actually shoot the space wall.
[SPEAKER_02]: Which he's decided was a great idea.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, okay, Kaiser is about to set to blow up the space world ships just as, because what Grimnar had a backup plan, a massive space world fleet translates into an into orbit.
[SPEAKER_01]: So now the inquisition has to back down because they're outnumbered like three to one.
[SPEAKER_02]: We were already getting there, and we're about to get the rest.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, they were outnumbered, but the difference is, do not let outnumbered three to one.
[SPEAKER_01]: Space wolf ships are all combat ships.
[SPEAKER_01]: The Inquisition ships are borderline transport ships, so this battle would have been about eight seconds.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, true.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Kai's now does not take this loss well.
[SPEAKER_01]: And see those two things.
[SPEAKER_01]: First, he orders the entire galaxy to blow these ships up when they get there.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because as you put it, the space wolves can't be with them all the time.
[SPEAKER_01]: So if any of these ships that I've marked appear in, you don't say a word, just blow it up right away.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, then Logan has the space was escort these.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: So then this becomes the game.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Kai Sleros is now incredibly rich.
[SPEAKER_02]: And the thing is, is that this is one of the things I like about Logan being practical until it's time for shit to go down.
[SPEAKER_02]: Because he could have just went, I'm real tired of this shit.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just killing all of you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Basically, Logan kept giving the inquisition a chance.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the great night is a chance to change our mind.
[SPEAKER_01]: Where this all starts to fall apart is the
[SPEAKER_01]: current Grandmaster is named Joros of the Great Nights.
[SPEAKER_01]: He aligned with Kaisnaros that the Space Wolves basically should know their place.
[SPEAKER_01]: That was the phrase they used, which is not a good line to use with Space Wolves.
[SPEAKER_01]: They don't like being told to know their place.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the two of them decide that they need to bring Grimnar to heal.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, with some super bullshit, cowardly treachery.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, this is lame as shit.
[SPEAKER_01]: As you guys can't tell, Brad does take these stories very serious.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm angry about this.
[SPEAKER_01]: So what they do is this is there's a cat and mouse game happening all over the place.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they say to Grimnar, look, we want to have, we, we are like, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we,
[SPEAKER_02]: This shouldn't be happening.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're both members of the Imperium.
[SPEAKER_02]: We need to basically clear it.
[SPEAKER_02]: We're wasting forces.
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's things that you're using your forces to ask earthy ships and they could be fighting in places that we need you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, let's let's get together and set our distances and set our differences.
[SPEAKER_01]: They set time and place Grimnara appears.
[SPEAKER_01]: The second he translates into orbit.
[SPEAKER_01]: his four escort ships are blown up instantly with everyone on on board dying and his ship is registered flagship.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, Joros and Kisneros then invite Grimnar on their on their ship to discuss the terms of his surrender terrible decision.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if they feel good.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Grimnar agrees and he teleports on to the bridge with
[SPEAKER_01]: three dudes I believe is yet with three with three wolf guard on to the bridge.
[SPEAKER_01]: Joros and and the guys that I was beginning talking at talking and Grimnar just doesn't want to hear who's responsible for screwing this top of his lungs.
[SPEAKER_01]: who is responsible for breaking the, no, sorry, for violating the oath of armistice.
[SPEAKER_01]: And after he yells for about ten minutes, non-stop.
[SPEAKER_01]: Joros just says, shut up, it was me.
[SPEAKER_01]: As soon as he finishes the sound E of that me,
[SPEAKER_01]: He's dead because Grimnard moves at a speed, no one knew he could move at.
[SPEAKER_02]: Also, no one has ever ran, sprinted, and terminated armor before this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he was in full terminated armor.
[SPEAKER_01]: At full speed goes across and cuts him in half with his axe.
[SPEAKER_02]: guy, which by the way, as the inquisitor, once you see the granite grandmaster get Darth mold, yeah, you decide, I should probably start talking again.
[SPEAKER_02]: Christ now.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's interesting because Christ now said this point, I think his thought was, okay, you got it out of your system, but seriously, you need to surrender now because we're going to kill you.
[SPEAKER_01]: While he's doing this, the vibe I like is the Grey Knights have just a cars in the bridge, who start casting a spell to prevent what they know the space walls will do, which is teleport back to their ship, forgetting that there's three wolf guard there, and those three wolf guard just shoot them all.
[SPEAKER_01]: I just was doing all right, kills all of them, and they just teleport off.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then shit went real down because Logan Grimnar went, oh, that's how it is.
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to Kaiser Soze, the Green Arts and the Inquisition, and just starts to just wreck them.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he begins more, wherever gray nights appear, the space wolves attack, wherever in position appear, they attack.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is turning into a full blown civil war.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Kisneros decides is only one way to solve that.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that is to go attack the Fang.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they do.
[SPEAKER_01]: They arrive at the Fang suddenly and with an overwhelming force and begin demanding that the space wolves at their
[SPEAKER_01]: on their home planet at their, on their temple at their home planet surrender to the inquisition.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they wake up beyond.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they begin demanding to speak to whoever's in charge.
[SPEAKER_01]: Grimner is not there.
[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone's off planet.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the people at the Fango.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
[SPEAKER_01]: What does wake up beyond?
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: By default, if some shit's going down, we just wake up here.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: We, the sign on the door says, if you're not, if you're not scared, just get beyond.
[SPEAKER_01]: break glass in case of emergency break the glass of pull the button in Bjorn wakes up and Bjorn just goes what
[SPEAKER_01]: the highest narrowest explains the situation to Bjorn and that, you know, he'll leave as long as the space wolves declare, feel tea to the inquisition, the imperium and vowed and never disobey them again.
[SPEAKER_01]: Bjorn points out that it's a kind of a weird negotiation when there's a fleet of ships pointing bombs at him.
[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, super chill about it, too.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, yeah, this seems kind of trash.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, sure.
[SPEAKER_01]: You guys sure about this?
[SPEAKER_01]: And of course, in classic spaceball fashion, right at this moment, Logan and the entirety of the legion up up here in fleet and just open fire.
[SPEAKER_01]: No negotiations.
[SPEAKER_01]: You shouldn't be here.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Also, I heard that you, you broke into my house and started messing with my family.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no.
[SPEAKER_01]: Looking, of course, drives his ship right into the, into the heart of the battle until he can teleport onto the bridge.
[SPEAKER_01]: Walks up tight-cice narrows and cuts his head off.
[SPEAKER_01]: So good at that.
[SPEAKER_01]: At which point Logan turns to go in effectively destroy the inquisition and gets a vox message from Bjorn saying.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yorns.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Totally.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're good now.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's calm it down.
[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, Bjorn talks Grimnar down and they agreed.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a big deal.
[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, he doesn't like straight.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Grimnar is not exactly looking for crowdsourcing what he's going to do.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, Grimnar is ready to go and Bjorn just gets in his ear and comes up.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, Bjorn is the most respected space wolf.
[SPEAKER_01]: So when he speaks, you're going to listen and he does calm what was a blood raged with space wolf down into like, all right, well, let them leave.
[SPEAKER_01]: And this does, I mean, it effectively saves the Legion, but forever, the space wolves really don't do well with the Inquisition and it's mutual.
[SPEAKER_01]: The great nights aren't huge fans of being around the space wolves.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're okay now to be fair.
[SPEAKER_02]: Space was have never been pretty big on anyone telling them what they're supposed to.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, of course.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this was business fine.
[SPEAKER_01]: But it saves the Legion.
[SPEAKER_01]: That wasn't the last of Grimnar stories.
[SPEAKER_01]: So he's this incredible leader.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a planet called Placia.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like there was a radical uprising.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is why I love Morgan so much.
[SPEAKER_01]: He goes there takes personal command of the regiments and stops and exterminates.
[SPEAKER_01]: He tells them the stop that their plan was just to blow up.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: So this planet is in full rebellion.
[SPEAKER_01]: The viewpoint of the Imperium is we're just going to blow the plan up and Logan goes, nah, I got this.
[SPEAKER_01]: He jumps there and just takes control of the other regiments.
[SPEAKER_01]: He says, no, we got this, guys, watch this.
[SPEAKER_01]: He also goes door to door.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he grabs the regimen and then goes door to door and kills all the heretics, saving.
[SPEAKER_01]: And this is massive.
[SPEAKER_01]: This was a high world with the major manufacturing high world.
[SPEAKER_01]: He saved billions of lives and he saved a lot of the, a lot of the Imperium manufacturing because they would have lost it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, this was a key point.
[SPEAKER_01]: The one I do like a lot though is just, I don't even know where this was.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a space Hulk full of aliens.
[SPEAKER_01]: Doesn't even say which ones, just full of aliens.
[SPEAKER_01]: Logan goes there, jumps in with his crew.
[SPEAKER_01]: And while they're running through the space Hulk, he falls through a hole in the floor.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's like floors and floors.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this goes, this appears and he's gone three days later.
[SPEAKER_01]: He walks, he just walks into world of space.
[SPEAKER_01]: Wolves are completely covered in alien blood and just smiling.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just like, hey, what's going on, guys?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: That was one of the best days.
[SPEAKER_02]: I took a V, I took a V K. Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Another one I like is planet Vara.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a planetary governor who'd fallen to chaos.
[SPEAKER_01]: Grimnar, walling in the presence of the governor realizes this and just reaches over and pulls his head off of his shoulders.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, if you forgot before he does this, the planetary governor was starting to talk shit.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: And he doesn't say anything.
[SPEAKER_02]: He just walks over and pulls his head off.
[SPEAKER_01]: He also jacked up the towel really well.
[SPEAKER_01]: The towel, so the towel attack is an orables shipyard.
[SPEAKER_01]: It damaged basically one of the space wolf ships there.
[SPEAKER_01]: Logan personally led the counterattack and made sure that every single towel.
[SPEAKER_01]: We killed every died.
[SPEAKER_01]: Every single towel was that full full stop.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like hey, no, no touchy touchy our boats.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just endless stories of look.
[SPEAKER_01]: He is this incredible badass.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's also seven hundred years old, which is, I think the longest serving leader.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's Logan Grimnar.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's awesome.
[SPEAKER_01]: Please only run him in it in Terminator armor.
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't do the Santa sleigh with the, with the wolves.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's had a badass ability, though, for one turn.
[SPEAKER_01]: I said, but lose his shoes.
[SPEAKER_01]: completely understand why everyone, the rules are why you run the dumb chariot.
[SPEAKER_01]: My point is, is that just strategically, nothing is easier to kill than two wolves pulling a sleigh with you on the back.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's just, oh, okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: So there's no, like, look out surre doesn't apply because I can see him.
[SPEAKER_02]: But let's talk about if you thought Logan is an old guy.
[SPEAKER_02]: want to talk about an old curmudgeon.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, Ulrich.
[SPEAKER_02]: Ulrich this layer.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Ulrich this layer.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Ulrich this layer is one of the most famous wolf priests actually probably history.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I like him a lot because he's because Ulrich's this super badass who becomes a wolf priest later.
[SPEAKER_02]: In the thing is he's a sewer going to.
[SPEAKER_02]: I think I just know the fact that he's just keeps his teachings going.
[SPEAKER_02]: He's got so many people.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's got so many people.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's got his but okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: So first off before we talk about like
[SPEAKER_01]: Ulrich, as the Wolf Priest, I want to tell you a couple of quick stories of Ulrich, the badass fighter.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the first word of Armageddon he was there.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he single-handedly killed three corn berserkers.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he did it with such flair and power that Angron saw it, looked at him and smiled.
[SPEAKER_01]: gave him a thumbs up.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so this that one.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's pretty cool.
[SPEAKER_01]: But other one I like a lot, though, was there was a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a,
[SPEAKER_02]: space wolves hold a grudge.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like you don't do some shit.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: And then go wonder if anything's going to happen for this.
[SPEAKER_02]: Or it just took forever to track this guy down.
[SPEAKER_02]: And we'll have to him.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, yeah, all we do the story consists of three parts.
[SPEAKER_01]: Part one, a homonculi leads a raid and captures some, some aspirants.
[SPEAKER_01]: Part two, or it goes to find the homonculi.
[SPEAKER_01]: Part three, the Hamankilized Head is on a spike in the Fang.
[SPEAKER_01]: Part one, two and three, concluded.
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, Ulrich is this incredible talent, though, for finding recruits.
[SPEAKER_01]: The people he pulls from Fenras have the highest success rate, not only in converting to space wolves, but actually as space wolf fires.
[SPEAKER_02]: The people he chooses just usually
[SPEAKER_01]: are great war and over and over and over again so he's viewed as this incredible asset to them.
[SPEAKER_01]: I will say there is some some people may or may not know there's some challenging conflict in the in the lower around him in the sense like it was one point stated that he was the one that selected Logan Grimnar but he's too he's over the Grimnar but he's not old enough to have actually done that so if I've seen it written I just want to call it out real quick that
[SPEAKER_01]: I've seen people say, oh, he's actually the wolf priest who selected Logan Grimnar, but I've also seen another area as it is not, so just calling it out.
[SPEAKER_01]: So people won't think about it.
[SPEAKER_02]: I like the idea that he has thought.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because he's, that's, he's calling.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: He, he finds greatness.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's, it's, I mean, I'm a big fan.
[SPEAKER_01]: Y'all storm color.
[SPEAKER_01]: Another one that just funny.
[SPEAKER_01]: We caught a while ago the space wolves hate psychors, because they were at the council of the K-based, and we'd say we should exterminate all psychors.
[SPEAKER_01]: But they have their own psychos.
[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, Araman.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Your boy from the space was didn't treat your right.
[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the space wolves call their, they don't call their psychors librarians.
[SPEAKER_01]: They call them room priests.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's a good thing they didn't get rid of all of them because they happen to have one of the most powerful psychors in the entire galaxy is a space wolf.
[SPEAKER_02]: Roon Caster.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, find Roon Caster.
[SPEAKER_01]: The elements.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, y'all, who later gets named Stormcaller.
[SPEAKER_01]: I tell you that story right now.
[SPEAKER_01]: He can do some stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, Boron Fenris raised in combat.
[SPEAKER_01]: His ascension moment is actually kind of funny.
[SPEAKER_01]: He, another one of the people fighting on long boats in a naval battle was leaping from boat to boat killing everybody.
[SPEAKER_01]: and eventually out just ran into a spear.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's the best way to explain it.
[SPEAKER_01]: So he falls overboard.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's like he ran.
[SPEAKER_02]: He ran into a spear to the chest.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, yeah, to the chest.
[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't like he took arm.
[SPEAKER_02]: He took to, yeah, it wouldn't like my bicep got stabbed.
[SPEAKER_01]: So while he's lying in the water.
[SPEAKER_01]: overboard, drowning and dying.
[SPEAKER_01]: The wolf priests kind of rush in and pick him up and bring him back to the Fang to bring him all the way back to health to then set him off a set of challenges.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're just kind of a messed up thing to do that like you're dead.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now you're not dead.
[SPEAKER_01]: And never, never going to go shove you out in the cold with no clothes on to see if you'll die.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, very way.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's got some pretty cool stories.
[SPEAKER_01]: The first one is a place called Gorswell, which I'm sure is a lovely place.
[SPEAKER_02]: I want a video of this because like some of these things that the Sanker still is what looks so visually stunning.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's animated.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just let's talk about this again.
[SPEAKER_01]: So there's a blood therster there and the blood therster
[SPEAKER_01]: tears his mentor the time apart in combat.
[SPEAKER_01]: Y'all doesn't care much for that and summons all of this psychic power and rips the bloodthirsty of heart.
[SPEAKER_02]: He cast epic lightning bolt on the bloodthirsty and blows it up and blows it up and then proceeds to just cast ice storm and ruin everybody.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it cast ice storm on all the demons around it who basically freeze in place and the rest of Spatles kill them all.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just walking up and go, oh, thank you.
[SPEAKER_01]: So when it comes to the naming mechanics, pretty easy to go.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, that guy's going to be called Stormcaller from now on, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it stinks.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: His other interesting piece in the lore, though, was he had this vision of the all-father returning to save Fenras.
[SPEAKER_01]: And everyone got super excited about it, including space wolf players.
[SPEAKER_01]: When this happened, I just, I'm doing this just to annoy Brad, because everyone thought it meant Lehman Ross's coming back.
[SPEAKER_02]: Should've came back, because the thirdteenth word, Legion was already coming back.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was Gilman.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was Gilman coming back and bringing that primaris reinforcements.
[SPEAKER_02]: when the Wolf Inn and the Thirteenth Company came back.
[SPEAKER_01]: Which, oh crap, we never touched on the ultimate founding.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, let's look quick.
[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry guys, we didn't do the last time, we probably should have started with this.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so the Fenrus genetics are a complication.
[SPEAKER_01]: The space wolves come all come from Fenrus.
[SPEAKER_01]: The reason behind that is because of the canics hex gene seed.
[SPEAKER_01]: If you put the canis hex gene seed as we discussed last time and anyone who's not from Venice, it just doesn't work out and it never worked out blah, blah, blah, blah.
[SPEAKER_01]: When Gilliman does his second founding of the primaris, it's done just like the start of the great crusade.
[SPEAKER_01]: All of the primaris are made back on Mars, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: I think with Mars, they're made back there.
[SPEAKER_01]: So millions of them are created.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they're created with the leftover gene seeds.
[SPEAKER_01]: Also, these did not want to agree to this, by the way.
[SPEAKER_01]: We can take the agreed later anyway.
[SPEAKER_01]: They so did not.
[SPEAKER_01]: I know it, but we'll get the second.
[SPEAKER_01]: As Gilliam is doing this, you can't make her primarist for marine and then later make him a space wolf.
[SPEAKER_01]: He is a space wolf marine.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a bunch of stories about how all of these people in this second founding, all of the people from whatever legion they were, even if they didn't know it, it would always kind of find each other and fight together because that thing was still there.
[SPEAKER_01]: What's interesting about this is that the space wolves
[SPEAKER_01]: never succeeded in pulling this off.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is the first time that anyone was able to be created from the Space Wolf genetics who didn't, who wasn't from Fenris.
[SPEAKER_02]: And it did not go well.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, let's just say they showed up with a bunch of space wolves to the who were not born on Fenris to the Space Wolf saying, Hey, guys, good news.
[SPEAKER_01]: We found all these people.
[SPEAKER_01]: These had not been through any of their rituals, had been to the blood and hadn't been even the other gates of more kind, none of this stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, needless to say, they weren't that into it.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, but not that into it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Wild understatement.
[SPEAKER_01]: Gilliman knows this, though, and he actually showed up himself with him.
[SPEAKER_01]: and walked into the fang and explained what's going on blah, blah, blah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And just said, look, if you guys don't want them, that's fine.
[SPEAKER_01]: They can be their own successor chapter somewhere else.
[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't even finish that sentence before.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's basically okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll do that.
[SPEAKER_01]: But Grimnar
[SPEAKER_01]: realizing that this is a force that he needs, agrees to bring them in.
[SPEAKER_01]: But he makes them all kind of take a full-demotion down to blood or great or great hunter and start from there.
[SPEAKER_01]: Some of these guys that I might have had to be mean
[SPEAKER_01]: hundreds of battles this point.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Logan was like, yeah, no, you have to learn our pressure crews.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I had to bring them up because that's there.
[SPEAKER_01]: We didn't cover it last time.
[SPEAKER_01]: We just talked about new additions to the space wolf.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about some old additions who are now new additions to the space wolves.
[SPEAKER_00]: The thirteenth great company will be right back after a quick break.
[SPEAKER_01]: This was one of the cooler things that GW's added in.
[SPEAKER_01]: So a thirteenth company.
[SPEAKER_01]: These most of almost all of them, no, actually, all of them were the ones who had been with Lehman the longest.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, since, since, since, since, Venice.
[SPEAKER_01]: So these were all, you know, up-converted space marries.
[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of them obviously died as part of that process, but this thirteenth great company would always a company, Ross Ever, where he went, including obviously into the eye of terror.
[SPEAKER_02]: And the big thing about them is these were all adults originally, they had changed.
[SPEAKER_02]: Some of them, I think the youngest was still late teen, you know, I mean, they were still warriors.
[SPEAKER_02]: And the wolf, the curse of the wolf appeared with them.
[SPEAKER_02]: So a lot of these areas soon.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: These guys would turn into wear wolves in the middle of battle.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what it was.
[SPEAKER_01]: The curse of the wolf and you turn into a wear wolf.
[SPEAKER_02]: Which is gotta be terrified.
[SPEAKER_02]: Aware with that's wearing power on there.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: During the burning of Prospero, the entirety of the thirteenth great company disappeared into the war.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it was claimed at the time that they were, they vowed to destroy the enemy of the Emperor and they were going to follow them.
[SPEAKER_01]: So if the, if the Emperor going to the war, they're going into the war.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're gone.
[SPEAKER_01]: Ten thousand years, or eleven thousand years, they disappear.
[SPEAKER_01]: Until Ragnar Black Main, getting it him in a minute, discovered that they actually all still lived.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, a chunk of them still lived, within the eye of, because what's happened was with the eye of terror turning into the rift, the access from the maturing of the immatarium became easier.
[SPEAKER_01]: We saw this happen, similarly with Drego reappeared,
[SPEAKER_01]: The creation of the rift, anyone lost to the immatarium?
[SPEAKER_02]: Now what's the return of the fallen?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, the fallen.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Vox, these guys all start popping back out.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the two is ragging our tells everyone about this.
[SPEAKER_01]: The space wolves are super excited because this is an omen.
[SPEAKER_01]: It rusts supposed to come back.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yep, this is one of the main omen of rust coming back as a return of the thirteenth Great Company.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now I should point out that the thirteenth grade company are all wearables now.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so the inquisitions, not a huge fan.
[SPEAKER_02]: Not a huge fan, but also the space was have been pretty don't tell anybody.
[SPEAKER_01]: And no one knows about this.
[SPEAKER_01]: So what happened, but what I love about this is the space will once they discover these guys are back, begin just scouring the imperial on a news network, whatever you'd want to call it for any sighting of them.
[SPEAKER_01]: And if they even hint that they're there, the space will jump over there to grab them and bring them back to the fact.
[SPEAKER_02]: which is funny because they're exactly the opposite of what the acquisition thinks they are, because these guys are effectively just immune to chaos.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, ten, ten thousand years in the warp.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're either, you either are chaos or you're immune to chaos.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean in these guys are just you can't corrupt them because they don't have Because of the curse of the weapon now they don't really have the same wants that you could Yeah, they're in they may be the most loyal parts.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's some nuts
[SPEAKER_01]: Do they have models?
[SPEAKER_01]: They had rules in the seventh.
[SPEAKER_01]: They have rules in the seventh.
[SPEAKER_01]: Again, it was a place baseball.
[SPEAKER_01]: Actually, we told that story, so we know a story of Ragnar.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, he's such a badass.
[SPEAKER_01]: I like Ragnar.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not my favorite.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll get to my favorite shortly.
[SPEAKER_01]: But Ragnar again, born on Fenris, raised in combat.
[SPEAKER_01]: I do like his origin story though.
[SPEAKER_01]: So his village is attacked by a rival claim.
[SPEAKER_01]: Ragnar, again, this is like a nine-year-old, rushes to the defense and bursts into a blood rage as you just slaughteres all of the enemies around him.
[SPEAKER_01]: But he wasn't able to save his own family.
[SPEAKER_01]: His father gets killed by another... Pretty much the same.
[SPEAKER_01]: ...to eight-year-old at the exact same time.
[SPEAKER_01]: Ragnar, of course, finds the person who just killed his father and tries to do the eningomontoya.
[SPEAKER_01]: of it, and I don't like this part where the rest story is good.
[SPEAKER_01]: They both stab each other at the exact same time in combat.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like that part, but while they're dying, the wolf priests grabbed them and bring them back to the Fang again to bring them back to life and then throw them out there.
[SPEAKER_01]: While they're lying there in bed, this is the funnier part.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're both lying in the infirmary, recovering, and Ragnar tells the guy's name is Strabjorn.
[SPEAKER_01]: I am going to kill you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I'm going to kill you a lot.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he means it so much that when he's placed in the gates of Morikai,
[SPEAKER_01]: they can't he gives the room presuppet of a confusion, because there's just this incredible anger and rage inside of them, and they think it's him becoming corrupted by corn.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then I just want to catch with it, he wants to kill that guy over there.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so they went, they're probably fine.
[SPEAKER_01]: the wolf priests and newsman fight they should they then of course shove the two of them out the door in the middle of the middle of nowhere and they become all the movie step for others they become better and become best friends you should karate the basement they think they think a band together bunk beds yeah but more importantly they slaughter thousands of
[SPEAKER_01]: So nothing will give you camaraderie among Space Wolves like killing thousands of sons.
[SPEAKER_01]: Stryborn and Ragnar are out in the middle of the wilderness and I'm assuming walking through the woods punching each other because that's how I view this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Until they bounce up and they stumble upon a thousand sons secret base.
[SPEAKER_02]: Why did a thousand sons of secret bases everywhere?
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's so this is the whole time we're mentioning this, but it comes up in constantly in space wolf lore where someone on Fenris discovers a thousand sons like cold or secret base.
[SPEAKER_02]: They're really bad about all the time.
[SPEAKER_01]: The space wolf's doing, I'm sorry, so it's you doing terrible job of keeping track of what's on your planet because it's constantly thousand sons.
[SPEAKER_01]: They all the time, yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, the two of them join up and just beat the crap out of the inventors.
[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, I want to point out, when you're put outside in the wilderness like this, you don't have a weapon.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they found a thousand sun base and these two just yellow swagged a bunch of thousand suns.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we don't need weapons to beat the crap out of you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, they also banished the sorcerer who was leading them back into the war.
[SPEAKER_01]: The sorcerer's name is Maddox, which I'm going to mention because he's going to come up a lot.
[SPEAKER_01]: Ragnar does not like Maddox.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, Ragnar's story takes kind of a negative turn on the planet Garm.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Garm is a world who was named after one of Russ' best friends, whatever you want to call it, closest allies, because the Garm sacrificed himself to save Russ from an attack by Magnus.
[SPEAKER_01]: for this rust personally built a shrine there, and this is where his spear of rust was placed.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, of course, a thousand sons love attacking Garn.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like they're favorite.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's non-stop.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, while fighting the resistance on Garn, a Ragnar Chase, a thousand sons sorcerer, who, of course, turned out to be the same one before.
[SPEAKER_01]: Turn out to be Maddox into the temple that holds the spear.
[SPEAKER_01]: The level of failure battle plan here, I'm not going to dive into, but Maddox is inside the temple casting a big spell to open a portal to the imitarium so that Magnus could walk into.
[SPEAKER_02]: With a horde of deep with all of them.
[SPEAKER_01]: Ragnar knows there's nothing you can do other than pick up Russa's spear and throw it at the portal, which will of course close it, but it loses the spear.
[SPEAKER_01]: So good news is
[SPEAKER_01]: because they win the battle.
[SPEAKER_01]: With the portal close, and I will be closed, the rest of the space wolves are able to mop up the invasion.
[SPEAKER_01]: And if Magnus had succeeded in coming through here, there were so many space wolves engaged in this battle, it might have actually demolished the Legion.
[SPEAKER_02]: And Logan is down with that.
[SPEAKER_02]: And Logan Grinar is totally down with this because they did just take their most sacred relic and just threw it into the inventory.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's the most sacred and through it to the thousand sons.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, hey, here's this thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: The only the last remaining thing we have of our primarq, you just threw to our ancient enemy.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: So this creates a problem because people, the Brad's point, wanted regular banished and wanted an executed for it.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, again, you just took our most sacred relic and threw it into the immaterial.
[SPEAKER_01]: You might as well just handed it to Mac.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: which you did do by the way.
[SPEAKER_01]: Logan decides the only way to save Ragnar who he likes lies.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a it's a sudden deterrent to be a bodyguard for one of the navigator houses.
[SPEAKER_01]: This next pick just gets weird because he goes on on a side quest with some dark angels that tracked down some fallen.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's well written, but it's just one of those like, it has nothing to do with anything.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you finished reading and you go, that was cool.
[SPEAKER_01]: Why did any of that happen?
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like,
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, oh, and back to the main plot, because I promised a two thousand pay, a two thousand word book, and I only, and I had four hundred and eighty words, so fill it in.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm like, fast forward, the story does take a nice turn, where Maddox is, of course, the one behind the, the whole plot to, with the fallen and blah, blah, blah.
[SPEAKER_02]: I do, I do love the note on this, you know, Maddox gets the spear, probably because Ragnar threw it at him.
[SPEAKER_01]: Maddox is in possession of the spare of Russ.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to use the spare of Russ to do a major ritual to bring an end to the space wall.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what it wrote, to bring an end to the space walls.
[SPEAKER_01]: Ragnar feels differently and he decides to grab said spear and shove it into Maddox.
[SPEAKER_01]: all the way through.
[SPEAKER_01]: All the way through.
[SPEAKER_01]: Maddox dies.
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that happens when someone shows a spirit of rust unless you're a new Star Wars, then if you get stabbed through the middle of you, it doesn't do anything.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's fair.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, Ragnar now at the same time of doing this, discovers the turtleneath great company.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Ragnar
[SPEAKER_01]: reappears to the space wolves carrying the spirit of rust and leading the community.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're going to go with the people who wanted him executed and and and kicked out.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're okay with them now.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: He really redeemed himself to the rest of those people.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: But again, as with all space wolf stories, he's not done yet fast forward for their there's more.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And
[SPEAKER_01]: uh, Ragnar is brought back into the Legion.
[SPEAKER_02]: I want to say this because this is one of the the first when you start to get Ragnar.
[SPEAKER_02]: Ragnar is a great warrior and he's does great in duels and things of that nature, but the biggest thing about Ragnar, Ragnar is so wild and he's such a crazy character and he gets so many people behind him, especially his band that goes with him.
[SPEAKER_02]: because Ragnar has lightning fast.
[SPEAKER_02]: And he takes on, if there's nobody that takes your lads, like Ragnar takes on ads, he takes on wildly outnumbered.
[SPEAKER_02]: And he's so good at putting down the nonsense, basically.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's so good.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and a good example of that was when he engaged the war boss, Borzag Khan.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Borzag Khan had just finished wrecking a bunch of white scars.
[SPEAKER_01]: and was actually causing a bunch of damage all through this, this, this, this sector.
[SPEAKER_01]: Ragnar is a blood clot at this point.
[SPEAKER_01]: Him and his, and his group, it's just a, he's with a unit of blood clots.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's with a, unit of blood clots.
[SPEAKER_01]: And, but also, it's not just the blood that's all, it's more than just the blood clots there, are just getting wrecked by this war boss.
[SPEAKER_01]: Ragnar decides, I'm not having that, and rushes over and gets into a duel with a war boss.
[SPEAKER_01]: after he deletes everybody that's in between them and then hacks the warboss to pieces and is staying there victorious.
[SPEAKER_01]: Every other member of the space wolves that was there is dead.
[SPEAKER_01]: The reason matters is Ragnar then is elevated because of how brave he wasn't how incredible he wasn't combat.
[SPEAKER_01]: He is elevated to Wolfguard.
[SPEAKER_01]: He skips gray hunter.
[SPEAKER_02]: Only the big deal.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, great.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm supposed to be where you spend most of your life less than five space wolves have ever had done that.
[SPEAKER_01]: His next big one though is equally funny.
[SPEAKER_01]: He encounters a chaos champion named Gore Rock's blood fist spoiler alert.
[SPEAKER_01]: This blood fist kills Ragnar's wolf lord that who he's fighting under in single combat and Ragnar just he tightens the laces.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he leans down tightens the laces of his boots of mighty ass kicking and kills the chaos champion.
[SPEAKER_02]: The one of my favorite parts of a Ragnar as he does single it up quite a bit.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because they're not epic fights.
[SPEAKER_02]: He just smoke fest.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's lying over and his beats in the dead.
[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you know, like, and the fight starts and he's dead.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's that.
[SPEAKER_01]: And of course, all the space walls went well.
[SPEAKER_01]: Our wolf lord is dead.
[SPEAKER_01]: Feel like this guy might be a good candidate.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he now is a wolf lord.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's the youngest person to ever achieve the title of wolf lord.
[SPEAKER_01]: That includes the includes Grimdard.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's also a bananas hothead.
[SPEAKER_01]: Which is fantastic.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, he doesn't he's a little he's a little crazy.
[SPEAKER_01]: His greatest achievement though was actually against Gauss and Gauss.
[SPEAKER_01]: So M-forty too.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're in like modern era.
[SPEAKER_01]: Gauss has opened a great riff.
[SPEAKER_01]: His armies are attacking all over the Imperium.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Ragnar and his company just decided to try to gas down.
[SPEAKER_01]: And there's an imperial city called Kranger.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the two of them getting an epic battle.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the Brad's point like
[SPEAKER_01]: This is full blown gas.
[SPEAKER_01]: And like, like, gas is probably two to three, not the three or four times the size of rags are going to be.
[SPEAKER_02]: It's the middle of the biggest vlog there average.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: Besides, and the one of these, the one of the biggest vlogs there's ever been.
[SPEAKER_01]: So gas and ragnar start dueling.
[SPEAKER_01]: And two gases credit, he just grabs ragnar one point with his power claw and starts crushing him.
[SPEAKER_01]: He breaks his neck.
[SPEAKER_01]: one of his arms get severed by one of the claws.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Gaz just started shoving his claws into Ragnar's body.
[SPEAKER_02]: Just closing his clothes clip him.
[SPEAKER_01]: Ragnar then as he's screaming out raises his remaining arm with a sword and cuts Gaz's head off.
[SPEAKER_01]: Gas drops him, Ragnar is brought back to the Apothecaries, and the comment is even entoming him into a dread not couldn't save him from his injuries, so they have to cross the Rubicon primaries.
[SPEAKER_01]: Which I have to ask a question about, because space marine too, this is the Titus.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm still confused how shoving a couple new organs in you.
[SPEAKER_01]: instantly makes you come back.
[SPEAKER_01]: Also, why are they doing this all the time?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, why do they even wire through any new dreadnoughts?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
[SPEAKER_01]: You're saying the body was too broken to be put in a dreadnought, but we'll put three new organs in you and you just regenerate an arm.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think they just put his head on top of a new body.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I just duct taped his head off.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just new people.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what they're doing.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're like, uh, it's dragged in our part too.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm speaking of head on new body.
[SPEAKER_01]: Guys, because don't worry, we're players.
[SPEAKER_01]: I got you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Guys is not dead.
[SPEAKER_01]: Guys is, well, guys is dead, but luckily, a random grot found his head and actually did it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, don't take it on.
[SPEAKER_01]: Walk over to Mad Dog Grotsnik, who went to legends.
[SPEAKER_01]: So lame.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Mad Dog Grotsnik showed it on the soda back onto the body.
[SPEAKER_02]: He duct tape his head back on his body.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they believe that that was fine.
[SPEAKER_01]: So it worked.
[SPEAKER_01]: So it worked.
[SPEAKER_01]: Ragnar of course after recovering goes back to go basically collect his trophy of dead guys and discover he's still alive.
[SPEAKER_01]: Ragnar is not happy about it.
[SPEAKER_01]: New.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, but let's close this out with a bang and bang by bang.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, my actual favorite character of all.
[SPEAKER_02]: Surprisingly, you're so into Lucas the trickster.
[SPEAKER_01]: Lucas the trickster because it's because his stories are funny.
[SPEAKER_01]: I like it.
[SPEAKER_01]: My thing is is that the forty-k is grim dark.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's incredibly grim dark.
[SPEAKER_01]: I actually my only complaint about the secret level thing is it just, it just felt sad.
[SPEAKER_01]: And everything, to me, a lot of the stuff we do around forty-k is sad.
[SPEAKER_01]: Lucas the trickster is comedic relief.
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, he's awesome.
[SPEAKER_02]: He's still basically a blunt claw because he will never not be a blunt.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because he's always in trouble.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Lucas is incredible.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's the definition of chaotic good.
[SPEAKER_01]: because he takes, he's got, he's pure mischief, but always with good intentions.
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, to Brad's point, he's the oldest blood claw among the Legion in the history of the Legion because no one will promote him because he's such a pain in the ass.
[SPEAKER_02]: He does also have the best artifact.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he also might be one of the best fighters in the entire Legion.
[SPEAKER_01]: So he's only invested in combat one time, and it was by Drew Carrey, who actually survived, but because he's back up heart kicked in, which they then kept, by the way.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll get there later.
[SPEAKER_01]: And one of the things I like about him, he had a fight, he lost the fight, they took one of his hearts, just know that for later.
[SPEAKER_01]: But he is
[SPEAKER_01]: This incredible fighter in hand-to-hand combat, but not like Lucius the Eternal.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's because he's the galaxy's greatest shit talker.
[SPEAKER_02]: Also, he apparently has the ability to speak every and all languages.
[SPEAKER_02]: But only instantly.
[SPEAKER_02]: Only, what's a shit.
[SPEAKER_01]: Only was on the shit.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_01]: So what he does is he just mouths off that you nonstop while in combat with you until the rage bubbles up and then you get you make a mistake and he kills you.
[SPEAKER_01]: He also uses this ability to create incredible victories while avoiding conflict.
[SPEAKER_01]: And this is why I love him.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the first one I like was a planet called Pollux Tertius.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was an organization.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he is with the company that arrives in the Wolflord in charge doesn't want Lucas anywhere.
[SPEAKER_02]: The Wolflord in charge hates Lucas' face.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: And refuses to put him in any situation where he can gain garnered any glory whatsoever.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because he doesn't want to be responsible.
[SPEAKER_01]: What if
[SPEAKER_01]: What if the trickster went down there and did enough good deeds?
[SPEAKER_01]: He would get promoted, not on my watch.
[SPEAKER_01]: So what he does is, while all the space walls are gearing up to dounday the planet, he shoves Lucas on a random like orbital station and tells him you're there for support.
[SPEAKER_01]: Lucas wanders over to the Vox station that's on there and taps into the orb communications.
[SPEAKER_02]: and starts individually messaging the other word bosses talking shit from the other words.
[SPEAKER_01]: He just because he's talking shit in ork.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they assume it has to be so he from this the station he creates a civil war on the planet amongst all the orcs.
[SPEAKER_01]: do which when the space was finally attack, there's only a few orgs left because they were just, you know, the clans just to the other side.
[SPEAKER_01]: So not only does Lucas save the day, but he also robs the wolf lord of any glory because it's a useless battle that they take on.
[SPEAKER_01]: Another time, uh, and Lucas is again on the wrong side of a wolf lord.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a massive work invasion threatening a planet because there's an orc boss there with like, stompers, gargants, all that stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: Lucas,
[SPEAKER_01]: is sent with his blood claws to just be nowhere near the battle.
[SPEAKER_01]: His entire role is just don't be anywhere near the battle.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so he goes, but he realizes the terraformed planet.
[SPEAKER_01]: So he goes to the North Pole where the main terraformer is and finds the thermostat.
[SPEAKER_01]: It just turns it all the way down.
[SPEAKER_01]: It turns it to the freeze.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: This freezes the orcs.
[SPEAKER_01]: because all their machines stop working.
[SPEAKER_01]: And again, the space was mop up, but to no glory because they were beating frozen machinery.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm going to do my favorite story, which is a very, very drunk look as the trickster.
[SPEAKER_01]: So while the rest of the Legion was kind of off system doing their work, which happens a lot, by the way, of the space wolves, the fan gets attacked a lot whenever one's not there.
[SPEAKER_01]: But anyway,
[SPEAKER_01]: a word bears fleet.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's a word, it's, it's, it's a word, it's something.
[SPEAKER_01]: A word bear ship and, and, and more arrive in orbit and it's leader named Mo Frank vox is down to the wolves explaining how I'm going to kill.
[SPEAKER_01]: He gives the villain monologues.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the speech is because the speech, he's like, I'm a master of combat.
[SPEAKER_01]: I've bested numerous space marines before you, and I'm going to, I'm going to, and if you don't surrender to me, I'm going to bomb, I'm going to bomb the Fang from orbit.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then Lucas immediately, as usual, Lucas wanders into wherever the hell he wants to look as what he was there.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just very, I mean, he, and he was drinking.
[SPEAKER_01]: He was incredibly in college.
[SPEAKER_02]: He just gets on and sends a message back.
[SPEAKER_02]: Say it.
[SPEAKER_02]: You've never won any fight.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's your little sister beat you and combat.
[SPEAKER_01]: If you're a Joe, like there's like, you're a word bearer, that we all know you guys can't fight blah, blah, blah, blah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And until this chaos lore just gets furious and just says time and place, and Lucas goes, okay, and sends him coordinates, and then wanders back to continues drinking while the entire Legion just is staring at him, like, what are you doing?
[SPEAKER_01]: Lucas drinks so much that he then just decides to lie down.
[SPEAKER_01]: And everyone is saying, what are you doing?
[SPEAKER_01]: Get up.
[SPEAKER_01]: We have a battle to say.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Lucas goes, oh, no, no, I sent him to this part of Fenris where it looks like it's land, but it's actually incredibly thin ice.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so the chaos lowered the lands with a Honda Chaos Marines and they all drowned.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's his story.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, sorry.
[SPEAKER_01]: One more thing on him.
[SPEAKER_01]: As we said before, Lucas was vested in combat by a Jew carry.
[SPEAKER_01]: So he has a hole in his inside of him where his second heart would be.
[SPEAKER_01]: So he had someone put a stasis grenade there.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's there so that whenever someone does kill him, the grenade will go off and it will preserve him and the person who beats him in stasis for all to see.
[SPEAKER_02]: Also, I love the fact that he's got this.
[SPEAKER_02]: You're like, we could give you another heart.
[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, I don't need that.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was going to stay in the screen.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a big fan of his.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're going to end there.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think I'm hoping that was a good enough.
[SPEAKER_01]: I liked it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Multicast for all you said.
[SPEAKER_02]: I love that I just tried to pat myself in the back.
[SPEAKER_02]: I can't because my arms is too short.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I hope you guys all liked it.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was enjoyable for us.
[SPEAKER_01]: Next week, we're going to do a one off.
[SPEAKER_01]: And as we were gonna talk about just the game of Forty Kay, and some of the times where the rules have been especially broken, cough cough virus grenade, and flying circus, and a bunch of others.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, it'll be fun for me, maybe for Brad, but that's for Brad, because he actually did all the things we're talking about.
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's more of a walk of shame for him.
[SPEAKER_01]: But this will be good.
[SPEAKER_01]: I have played every broken army.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: But we hope you guys enjoyed this, and we'll see you next week with the Ben John Bar Sadi and Brad Chester.
[SPEAKER_01]: This guy.
