Well, you're driving home, Well, you know Dilly Dillion at work. Hey, we're here, so let's do it. Rich on a way back Wednesday, I mean, I ask you a quick, quick question, but that you need. Do I have some WD forty for you? Mike? Yeah, you hear that. What is this? What's going on here? Man? 00:02:50 Speaker 2: Orm? 00:02:52 Speaker 1: Was it raining in the studio? It's all rusted sounds like my right knee. Yeah, Rich, way back on Wednesday? What was your favorite baseball video game? Boom bump, But I'm bum baseball but there's only one answer, But I'm rbi baseball, But then again, bases loaded with a better perspective sucked. Basis load it had great grass there you suck, oh basis load of sucked. I had it. I you know what. I liked Baseball Stars because you can make your own players. Baseball Simulator one thousand was better than that. But are you in the video games celebrities or just a good time? Well, if you're in for a good time, Colerich Savis. The Global Gaming League is a video game league with celebrity owned teams from te Pain and Neo competing in everything from Call of Duty to Tetris. Sign up and join the league now at Globalgaming League dot com. So it is to start a baseball shout out to RBI baseball that is the best and let's get into it. Man. Well, hey, it's baseball season. We'll get to NBA and NFL later, but today your Yankees start to see it against the Giant, so we can't delay any further. And I did it properly. I'm wearing the Yankees away jersey because they're playing away. 00:03:57 Speaker 2: Let's go, Yankees. I want you to beat up on the Giants. 00:04:00 Speaker 1: Let's go. I mean, I can't see if people only see waste up on the video stream. Are you wearing baseball pants till full stirrups only? Stirrups only stirrups. Yeah, so let's do it. Are we running back are twenty twenty five? Bet in twenty twenty six? Are we doing one thousand dollars? Who has a better record? Mets are Yankees? We did it last year. Rich got overly confident and he changed the bet mid season. Don't know if I'm gonna do that again. He added one hundred dollars for every game over right, and the Mets imploded and the Mets fell apart. It was an ongoing saga. Do we do it again? I know my thoughts, but you know we'll open it up too. Should we do it again? Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox? One thousand dollars? Who has a better record? Yankees are Mets? And it all starts today. 00:04:47 Speaker 3: Well, you guys signed an extension, so you got to double the money? Oh no, so two thousand and then two hundred dollars for every game. 00:04:55 Speaker 1: I don't know about that double the money. It's not Dan Patrick Cullen money. 00:04:58 Speaker 2: Yet, Rich does he's going to lose again? 00:05:00 Speaker 1: Well, it's funny. You should say they gave me a bonus and meatballs. Danny g Oh, yeah, the boss says, I want to watch you eat them, and they commune on like the old lady in the wedding singer Isaac long Crown, looking handsome and spry on the updates Isaac without looking. Would you think that Vegas has the Mets and Yankees win total similar or to find similar within a couple of games, because if we're making a straight up bet Mets Yankees better record, I'm curious what you think because. 00:05:31 Speaker 4: I would say they are similar if that's the if that's the range that we're talking about. 00:05:37 Speaker 1: Yeah, well get this, as Timmy no Briks would say, get this. By the way, he's the only guy getting shout outs here on Fox Sports Radio or should I say where they only got giving him shatouts? Yeah, Timmy no breaks. Very funny, kill Tony, what's up? So, according to our friends at DraftKings Sports Book are good pals, would you believe that the Yankees win total over under? Make your bets everybody ninety and a half wins? Okay? Will the Yankees go over under ninety and a half. I've been saying it on my Turbo Rock show. I've been saying it here on Fox Sports Radio. I've been saying it to anybody willing to listen to hear me talk about the Yankees. Five wins I did. I told the guy at John Pajuice early this morning, ninety five wins, dude, because they're calling it. If you know, we're talking about running back. This bet they're calling them the run it Back Yankees is to run it back Yankees. There's a team that didn't make any of these big moves because they believe in their team, and they believe in their players that are coming back allah the Garrett Calls of the world. So you get guys like Cole and Freed and Rodin, you get this pitching rotation, Louis Hill when he comes back, the king of the Heel. I'm saying ninety five wins at least this year. So if you want to take that bet, I'll take it right now. Well, I was gonna say, if you're so confident, then besides you're good, pal Rich Davis. I'm saying they're one for reason, and their reason makes me want to run back the bet. I would go to Vegas. I would hit off our friends at DraftKings, and you want you hit that over hard, then ninety and a half because I personally get enough enjoyment out of watching the games where I'm good. I don't need the extra action, especially if you and I are betting. Okay, well, this is interesting because the Yankees are ninety and a half wins according to DraftKings. Guess what the Mets are ninety and a half wins, exact same projection in Las Vegas, Andrey gotta projected even And this is like as even as a bet could get. There's no bs like, yeah, I'm gonna take my team because I'm a homer. The odds are said, and the metsa Yankees are both deemed ninety win teams, playoff teams, not dominant. What do you think the Dawyers are at. 00:07:54 Speaker 2: I'm gonna say one oh two? 00:07:57 Speaker 1: Are you a Vegas odds maker? Two point five? 00:08:00 Speaker 2: Oh nice? 00:08:01 Speaker 1: So they're predicting the Dodgers over under his one o two and insane? Dude, I don't you would think the the underhits on a lot of those big numbers. But the Dodgers kind have a bounce back year. How do you say that's a bounce back year and they just went back to back World Series, and they improved last year. Last year's regular season record and the pitching staff, boy, what did they have like ninety something wins. But remember in the preseason last year as now you got you, guys improved, So it makes sense. Spring training last year we thought the Dodgers were gonna win one hundred and twenty games. They end up winning ninety something win the World Series, so it doesn't matter. But one oh two and a half. That's a high number for perspective. The Yankees, and again it's fair that we talk about them. Not everything revolves around the Yankees, but they open up the series and the season tonight. They were ninety four and sixty eight last year. So they won ninety four games last year and Rich's Mets won eighty three. There were eighty three and seventy nine last year. So clearly I won that bet. And to be fair, I only took the thousand dollars the hundred. Yeah, I didn't take the hundred for every game over. I took the thousand and a show. Hey, rookie, that was our bet, and we did that last year. Do we take it again? I say, Yeah, let's do it. Makes it more fun. We're more invested in fact, are we doing it? Natcho man Hogan, Dan Powers, handshit. 00:09:21 Speaker 3: Document it all right. Took a picture last year when you guys, let's go. 00:09:26 Speaker 1: Over the rules again? Though? Is this a thousand bean rous? Oh? But I have a caveat this year. Instead of instead of the one hundred dollars extra per game, I think there's bonus points one hundred dollars if you nail each of the four categories saw Young Award winners and MVPs. So instead of the one hundred per game, is one hundred one thousand dollars straight up better team record? And then there's an extra four hundred dollars on the line, one hundred bucks each for saw Young's and MVPs. Okay, all right, and ties a push to push Okay, yeah, the season today, to run it back, Yankees running it back again for a thousand dollars. Let's go, let's go, let's go. Yeah, let's go Yankees for a thousand dollars. And I wish all your teams the best of luck. I want everyone to have a fun and healthy season because baseball's popping, Baseball's back in a big way, and you know, more reason to watch, even if you want to watch to hate the Yankees and the Giants. Tonight fine a reminder that we're gonna see something tonight that we haven't seen before. Baseball on Netflix with Jameis Winston in the booth and they're saying that they're gonna make this a big event, like a big spectacle, And I don't know what they have up their sleeve, but we just saw the World Baseball Classic and that laser light show and all the festivities for the final game for the championship. I'm wondering what they're going to do tonight to make it extra interesting and exciting. So more reason to tune in because they're sort of hyping it up like it's gonna be a big event. Well, look at it this way. Baseball is the one sport. Well I want to say the one sport but you know what, no, I will say, the one sport where people are very emotionally attached to their local broadcast team and the coverage they're used to. That's fair. I like that. No, no, I agree, But because of that, anytime a new network takes on like a Baseball package fans are immediately the biggest haters on planet Earth because in the NFL, if you're a Niners fan or a Raiders fan, or Giants fan or Jets, every week your team could be on Fox or CBS or oh, Sunday Night Football, Amazon, Thursday night, Monday Night on ESPN. You just sort of rolling with whatever broadcast team you got, and you're like, oh, this is great. If you're a Yankees fan like you, if you're not hearing Michael Ka's voice, you're like, what is this? If you're a you know, Mets fan and you're not hearing Gary keithan ron, or if you're not hearing Joe Davis and you're a Dodgers fan, you are sort of like, what is this weak ass coverage? So I am curious what Netflix has up their sleeve today here in the La Times. Netflix is turning Major League Baseball's opening night into a big event. What does that mean exactly? We'll find out. We'll find out tonight. And that adds to the fun. But you know, why are we adding so much time to this? Because we love baseball, grew up loving baseball. I feel like it's everyone every guy's first true love in a way, even if you sucked at it, you found something you were great at as a result. And my first true loves were Christy Brinkley in National Lampoon's Vacation, Nicole Eggert on Charles in Charge, and Gary Carter's Ephro. I would say I was always super passionate about baseball as a kid, Doc Goodin's Mechanics on the Mound, that high Dot good and leg kick that and my Cindy Crawford poster. But it all changes tonight, is the point. One hundred and sixty two games have plans every night. You know, there was a lull for the past few weeks, like what are we gonna do? What are we gonna watch? Well, every night, for the most part, you're gonna have something moving forward, We're always gonna have something to talk about. And I'm very excited for the season. Now you already talked about cy Young's and MVP. If you want to give me your four now, I mean I will, and don't hate me because it's obvious. But you know they're calling him to run it back Yankees, right, Yeah, Well, I think there's a lot of players that are also gonna run it back. We're gonna have similar seasons. I don't think much is gonna change, So I think my answers are obvious, but obvious for good reason. I think a lot of these players don't think players are just gonna fall off. I think cal Rawley's gonna fall off, but I don't think my answers are gonna fall off. Meaning for cy Young, I'm not really going out on a limb when I say Max Freed, you know he's starting tonight. Okay, he's a Yankee. I know it's a boring answer. I apologize, but he was nineteen and five last year with a two point eighty six er, and I think that he's the guy this year. With Cole backing him up, I think he's just gonna be more dominant, and I think Max Freed is the guy as far as al MVP. Again, boring answer. But do you see Judge falling off in regular season? I don't. He's had a hot spring yet, he came up short in the WBC. But is he gonna play great in the regular season? Yes, because he got a three thirty one last year with fifty three home runs. I think he has an even better year this year, and in the NL dude. Boring answer, but obvious answer. I don't think Paul Skeen's is falling off. He was ten and ten last year with a one point nine to seven ERA. Paul Skeens is gonna have more than ten wins this year. I really believe that. I think he's gonna have a really dominant year. Again, he plays for a week team, but I think he's gonna have more wins and a similar era. And who's better than Show? Hey, I will say this rich, I think Wan Soto is gonna have a monster year and it's gonna be so close between Wan Soto and sho Heil Tani. But Show he's so valued. I told no chance not so there's no chance to get you got Judge and Show Hey. Yeah, I know these are boring answers, but I think there are obvious answers and Max Freed and Skeens. Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna mix it up just for the fun of it. Okay, there's money on the line, I know, I know, but I think for al MVP. I don't wish this on anyone, but Aaron Judges kept his nose and health pretty clean. Yeah, maybe maybe banged up I don't know, foul ball off the toe and he's out for three weeks. Something may just derailed Judge enough where a guy that true baseball fans will acknowledge like for some reason, this guy's just the most all around ballplayer's he just bleeds baseball and I appreciated him more watching the World Baseball Classic. I think this is the year where Bobby Witt Junior just puts up next level numbers. I feel like, uh, last year statistically a little down from the previous year. He's always in the conversation. I'm gonna go Bobby wit Junior. I just think he's he's a dominant player, but he's not like monster numbers. And I'm just gonna up in the NL as well. I think after what you saw out of the Dominican Republic, and the Mets made all those trades, and I think they got rid of everyone Wan Soto hates except for Lindor so I think we got Soto and Bobby wit Junior, okay, and then as far as Cy Young Award winners go. Yeah, but Soto's a great answer, and I really think he's gonna have a month season. As I said, how is he gonna be better than Shohio Tani. I think if sho Ha has like a good year in Soto bats like three ten with fifty home runs, I think Soto's on a mission. Okay, my say, young Award winners, I like your answers of freedom schemes. I mean that's so to me. Those are both top five guys in Vegas. Oddswise, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go a little different. I'm gonna go Yamamoto. I just think coming off of last year's playoffs, I feel like, you know, guys hit a groove in their career where there's always a year or so with their like unstoppable. I think ya Yamamoto has been here now where it's like all right, he's in his groove and the Dodgers will just give him run support. So even statistically, even if his era isn't the lowest in the NL, even if like Skeens has a one point or two whatever era, I think Yamamoto could win twenty games. And we don't see that anymore in baseball. But the Dodgers are so good that I go Yamamoto, And just to get under your skin a little bit, I'll go with the Red Sox. Crochet Wow saw young for the AL really, I think he had like eighteen wins. Yes, so dominant too. And I think the Red Sox are going to be pretty good man, especially with Roman Anthony. I'm gonna be a young, exciting player to watch. By the way, Roman Anthony is a fifth. Can I give you the top five in AL MVP odds? Rich wants to give his sister a major award? Farbud Anthony. You said it, Aaron, judge your odds on Favorite. Number two is Bobby Witt, junr Cal Rowley, Number three Vladdie and Roman Anthony in the NL, Dude's a stunt. In the NL, your MVP odds are show Hey is by far. It's like minus one forty five. Oh, Tony, I mean it's do you understand minus one forty five insinuates The season hasn't started yet and it's not even even money, Bett, like you, you have to wager more to win for show Hey to be MVP. It's like such a assumption, like, oh, yeah, he's just gonna do it again. Second is Juan Soto at plus nine hundred. Then you got a Kunya Junior. Tatis has good value. He just gets banged up a bunch. He's plus nineteen hundred for MVP, and then there's a bunch of guys at plus twenty five hundred Elie de la Cruz, Bryce Harper, Kyle Schwarber. So those are your MVP odds as far as cy Young. Your odds on favorites are by far schemes and school ball. Again, yeah, Soelable's the guy. Did I read rumors of him ending up as a Met? Did I see that in the news today? From your lips to the Baseball God's ears? I could have sworn I seen it and immediately went to the next screen. I was like, get out of my face with that. But either way, we wish you all a great season, life changes for the next few months. Today one other wish your team's health and wealth, and let's have a great one. Let's enjoy the game tonight, even if you hate the Giants and the Yankees. I think we tune in to see what they do and we'll come back and talk about it tomorrow. But the bet was made, was made, Let's do it one thousand dollars. Who has the better record? Yankees are the Mets. But again, I wish your teams the best baseball is the best baseball's been back, but back in the biggest way possible. And we're just hoping that some of that WBC momentum carries on into this season. That excitement, that fire that we saw in that tournament. We're hoping to see more of that this season in twenty twenty six. Can I tell you that I've seen people now this would be I mean, I could be wrong. If someone wants to stat check me, I don't think it is. It would be unprecedented or not. Maybe I'm wrong. Has there ever been four teams in the division that make the postseason? Now? You know, in the NFL, there's years like this year where the Niners, Seahawks, and Rams all made the postseason, and there have been years where you get, you know, like three teams of the division making the NFL postseason. But in baseball, I've seen a lot of experts do their here's what the postseason is going to look like. You know what they have, Covino. They have the Yankees, Blue Jays, Orioles, and the Red Sox all making the playoffs that they think maybe the three wild cards all come out of the AL East, and because now the way baseball is played, you don't play your division much more than other teams. Remember I used to play your division a lot more. Yeah, because that's not necessarily the case since everyone start of playing everyone more equally. It's very feasible, but that every team in the division except one could make the playoffs in the Al East. Google ai Overview says as of the end of the twenty twenty five MLBC season, no four teams from the same division have never made the MLB playoffs, While the expanded twelve team formats since twenty twenty two allows for three wildcard teams, making it theoretically possible a maximum of three teams from a single division has happened, but never four key details. Current formats since twenty twenty two twelve teams six per league qualifying three division winners plus three wildcard teams. Previous format before twenty twenty two, only one or two wildcard teams were available, making four teams from one division possible. Yea. But since the new formats, you know, six teams in each, three wildcards, three division winner, right, dude, I was thinking about it, well, because there's some dominant teams in the Al East for sure. That's why the Al East will be a fun division to watch because if you look at the special at your boy Alonso and they in Baltimore, it's inching too, dude. They are really good teams. So if you have the Yankees and Red Sox who are expected to be decent, the Blue Jays who are running it back with a World Series team that wasn't you know, a foot away from winning and beating the and the much improved Orioles. There's people saying that who in the West other than a division winner, let's say Texas or Houston or Seattle, whoever wins. They're saying, I don't know if anyone else makes it from those divisions and the Central Tigers maybe right, and then after that what nothing? Yeah, so your thoughts hit us up at eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. We're super pumped. Obviously. MLB Opening Day feels like a little bit of a holiday, like, yes, it's here finally, And I did my best to like to calm down that anticipation and tune out until the WBC. Obviously, so I'm so glad it's finally here. We could dive in full force. And if you have any thoughts, hit us up and we'll get to you next. I do want to remind you, though, that we're gonna do Mike's Wednesday Words of Wisdom, give away some prizes if you could repeat it verbatim, and we got midweek major still coming up. All right, cool, We'll get to all that and something else I want you to think about. I'm gonna put your spot coming up next. I'll give you a second to think about it. Everyone. We just gave our predictions on Cy Young's and MVPs and who you know that's Yankees, Dodgers, all this stuff just we do it for football, So think about it and throw it out there. Give me your out on a limb. What star is gonna fall off? What good team's gonna stink? Or what bad team's gonna be awesome? Like? What? Take a look real quick and think about what is your quote out on a limb? What guy's gonna bring it? I already sort of said one, and I'll explain why in a little Bit're perfect. We got all that and more next right here on Fox Sports Radio. Is your business struggling to find qualified candidates? Well, you're not alone. Usually in these promos they ask you to listen to the show. I'm here to ask you please don't listen to the show. The hosts are two absolute morons who have the dumbest takes on sports, imagicable. Don't listen to the show so it can get camped. 00:24:54 Speaker 1: Wha, what the hell are you doing in our studio? Get employe. Ignore that fool. We got paid hair. That's right. You hear about Joe and Joe. 00:25:25 Speaker 2: Did you see how nasty Otani was pitching yesterday? 00:25:29 Speaker 1: Dude, He's just nasty, bro. He's not falling off anything. He's still gonna be MVP. In my opinion, I think he's gonna be just as dominant as ever. Otani's gonna have a season. I do like what Rich had to say about Yamamoto, though, I mean, with that lineup and his workhorse mentality, he's got a good chance that twenty wins for sure. Watching his tenacity in the postseason made you respect him more that he was gonna be willing to go out there again like the guy's the guy's maniac work course. And with the Dodgers offense, yeah, Kyle Tucker and add Edwin Diaz to shure up any close game out of the bullpen, yamamoo could leave if he's pitching let's say thirty three to thirty four starts. If he leaves two thirds of those with the lead, the guy's gonna win. Like I it wouldn't chuck me it off. We had a twenty game winner on the Dodgers this year, because twenty game winners seem to be a thing of the past, Well, no shock if that happens, because, like Rich said, workhorse, they improve their bullpen. What would be shocking, though, Let's go out on a limb. You're out on the limb predictions as far as MLB twenty twenty six. Hit us up now at eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. We're Covino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio live from the Fox Sports Radio studio. As far as out on a limb, it's hard to go so far out on a limb in baseball, but I have a couple of thoughts that I think, Hey, maybe these players have an off year, or maybe they do better than you thought. Okay, so can I start, because I've already said money and I mean it, and I mean no harm or ill will, And in fact, if I was proven wrong, that's fine, okay, you know, but I really think, until proven otherwise, col Rawley is not gonna follow up with another monster sixty home runs, so you think he's gonna have a dumper of a season, and dumper meaning he's still gonna have a good season, like over thirty home runs, but he batted two forty seven sixty home runs one hundred and twenty five RBI. But the whole story last year was like he's the MVP, Like what are you smoking? He's the MVP, Aaron Judges batting three twenty something with fifty five home runs, Like just how you think? Still an All Star and one of the best. But if he beats two forty with thirty seven home he's gonna and come back to reality Like I I it's not that it was a fluke, but like sixty home runs, I'm not seeing that happening. And he didn't have the best spring. The dude wasn't even in the starting lineup in the final game of the World Baseball Classic. Okay, So if that's any indication I'm not saying that he's gonna stink, but he's not gonna be in that conversation of MVP does fifty home runs. I don't see that happening. Does he have a flat ass? 00:28:57 Speaker 3: Now? 00:28:57 Speaker 1: Did he even lose his ass? Maybe it's not as rumpus as it once was. God, twenty years you're saying twenty five less home runs. You're saying that that the hips and the ass is so saying I'm thinking of at two thirty five to two forty thirty three bombs. Maybe like ninety two, one hundred and five RBI, like still a good season, especially for Patrick. Great season, but like sixty home runs MVP combo not happened. I'm gonna throw four quickies out there just because I feel like one could come true. Livvy Dunn dumps Paul Skins and he loses his mind. Yeah, Livvy Dunn meets some hunky dude on the set of Baywatch. She's a hot commodity. Paul Skiing seems emotionless, but deep down inside, remember what happened to Matt Harvey when a victorious secret model dumped him, Adriana Lima. Matt Harvey was never the same the dark Knight went fro the guy with the dark cloud over his head. That was the story for sure. He was crying in the clubhouse. They say, Matt Harvey, that's the truth. His career was never the same. We're not saying it was necessarily because of that, but it was never the same after that. I remember reading a headline being like, this is for real. He like was he wanted to skip a star because he was so heartbroken. And we were on sn Y in New York at the time. I was sn Y, home of the Mets, Jets and all things New York sports, and there was a lot of buzz like that was the real story of what was going on out on the limp. Paul Skins gets dumb by Livy dun and while he looks emotionless, it'll haunt him and he's like average this year. Okay. Bryce Harper, after being called average, reminds us that he's the man. And Bryce Harper is back on the you know league Leaders. It was called that he wasn't elite owners. So I think Bryce Harper gives everyone a big fu and Bryce Harper I think as a huge season. Unfortunately, he's one of my favorites, but I feel like he's in his mid thirties now, Mookie Bets might be carried by his big team of all stars. I think Mookie Bets might have another pedestrian down year and we might have to just accept it. He's an elite athlete, but like maybe he's just not like that Mookie Bets anymore. And Danny, it's like when remember when like the Broncos carried Peyton Manning for the record. Mookie bets two fifty eight, which is that's pretty weak for mookiy Bets twenty home runs, eighty two RBI last year. But I'm saying he's. 00:31:14 Speaker 2: Moved around on defense and he adjusted and finished the season strong. 00:31:18 Speaker 1: And he's one of my favorites. I'm just saying, if Mooki bets two forty with twenty homers and he's just on the team because it's Mookie Bets, and like you know, it'll go unnoticed because the team is so stacked. 00:31:28 Speaker 3: But I want to be shocked if Mooki had a down year, how about somebody else in their mid thirties. My out on a limb, Mike Trout is going to come all the way back. 00:31:36 Speaker 1: I like that yeah, all the way back. 00:31:38 Speaker 3: He's going to be thirty five this August, and he told MLB dot Com recently that he feels healthy. 00:31:44 Speaker 2: This is the time right now for him to bounce all the way back. 00:31:47 Speaker 1: He was two thirty two last year with twenty six home runs sixty four RBI. No run production there, but dude, I like that. Yeah. It doesn't have to be all negative either. And I wasn't trying to be negative about cal Rawie. I was just thinking that was that was like a dream season. If it happens again, great, I'm rooting for it. Fine, Rich Mookie Bets, Danny g Mike Trout, I like I got one. Mar Danny's gonna hate it, but I love it. 00:32:10 Speaker 2: So hey. 00:32:12 Speaker 1: By the way, you know who else might have a pretty decent year if he stays healthy, Big g bro Sean Carlole stands only forty seven home runs away five hundred Think you're gonna say forty seven years old because it feels like he is. No, I can't lift it, you said. The guy can't take a cap off a bottle. No, he can't open up a bag of potato chips, but he can hit get five hundred foot bombs. Yes if again, health is everything right, So those are big ifs. I got two more. You know, it's an interesting one because the guy just seems like a stud player, but he had a real weak ass second half last year Pete crow Armstrong on the Cubs. Yeah, first half, stud stud second half it was like, yo, did he did they figure him out? Or did he just have a down second half? So I'm intrigued to see what PCA does for the Cubs. By the way, Baseball, for the record is the only place you can call dude studs and not get crooked looks. Yeah, let me let me give you one more. Danny's gonna love this one. In twenty eighteen, this guy had a one point nine to six ERA and he was just like unstoppable for the Mariners. He comes to the Mets has a five point five to nine ERA and was two and seven and he's stunk. That guy is Edwin Diaz. And then in year two, three, four, or five, all of a sudden, then he becomes Edwin Diaz again. I know it's a pattern based on only one move, but what if Edwin Diaz has a hard time adjusting? How dare you to new surroundings because he's Edwin Diaz had one terrible year. It was his first year as a met What if coming to the Dodgers. Maybe he's not a guy that adjust easy. 00:33:48 Speaker 2: I want to stick to trumpet somewhere. 00:33:52 Speaker 1: You know, Dodger Stadium tried it out yesterday for the first time, a very like meager crowd, and it didn't sound right. You might be playing the ass trumpet, you guys, beautiful, You're just playing the ass trumpet. You guys, excuse me. You guys need to figure out a light show for this guy. I saw that week ass entrance. You got to get some bells and whistles for Edwin Diaz or else. He's gonna have a five yarns. 00:34:12 Speaker 2: During a practice game coming up. 00:34:14 Speaker 1: I know this guy's gonna have full on. Madiazzi's here in La Now. Gave me a vegemite sandwich. Why'd you smile when he said six foot man of muscle? I was thinking of Aaron Judge's six foot four stud Uugh Covino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio Live from the Fox Sports Radio Studio, jamming out some men at work. I do like your take though, that it is funny how baseball is the one thing where you could call another grown man a stud and known even thinks twice about it, like, oh yeah, man, dude, Bobby Wood Junior stud, Ice Harper stud. It's time for our ti IRAQ play of the day. Do your girlfriend point that out? She's like, why is it? Why are you calling them studs? It's also okay to slap other dudes in the ass, but no problems weird studs in that slaps up man over, Let me slap your ass, you stud. Yeah. 00:40:25 Speaker 3: Hey, we live in an NFL world, so some people have baseball like second or third down the list. 00:40:29 Speaker 2: Listen. 00:40:30 Speaker 1: I love baseball might be my deep down inside personal favorite, but I follow football more because I just feel like there's something I'm more intrigued by football. But if you ask me, like, what would mean the most to me as a fan, probably the Mets winning the World Series more than any other like sports, you know, fandom. I saw an interesting thought as we go into opening day. Former umpires former retired MLB umpires a lot of them have said this abs system, automatic ball strike challenges and all that it feels like it's designed to humiliate umpires. What do you think of that thought? Is it? Is it humiliate? It wasn't designed for that purpose. And I think as an umpire they almost take a vow or they should have this sort of obligation to want to get the call right regardless. So it wasn't to humiliate them. It was meant to get the call right making their jobs better. But imagine it's a job. How I get it. It's not why it was designed. I get it. As a result, will this happened, Yeah, but it also keep them honest too and make them make them a little better. Perhaps, maybe, But I'm just saying to imagine, if that your job, whatever you do for a living, someone questioned your quality, and then from now on they're gonna have whatever you do for a living, you'll have someone on hand ready to correct and challenge every decision you make. It work the air, but it's how they handle it right. If they if they really are committed to getting it right, then it just gets the game the way it's supposed to be. No one's gonna like look at them like they suck. They got it right, Angel Hernandez walked away just in time. Huh we got more convenion rich next, right here on FSR
