Yeah, it's the internet. You're busy. Let's do this. I'm looking at the wrong camera already us in different camera this time, everybody. So if you're listening to the podcast, just know it's some I'm like softer and lighter. It's what is this the one's that's the face cam, all right, the Elgatto face cam. Yeah, the Elgatto face cam. So you're wondering how it looks like on my face for your own purchasing information. Well, there you go. This is Grubs next. Let's let's get back on the rails. This is Grubs next to the show where I talk about what's happening in the news. I'm Jeff Grub. I right over at games Beat and all that stuff. We're gonna talk about some news. I got some cool stuff to talk about today. I think, Yeah, one thing that I'm like hesitant, but I kind of can't help myself. So we'll get into all that very soon. If you want, you should. Oh, I'm muted, aren't I am I muted? No, I'm not muted. I'm looking at the wrong one. Okay, Obs is being a nightmare for me today. You know what, Let's just keep going. This is the best show I've ever done. Okay, whatever, you know what, I'm gonna make up for it right now. Let's just instead of doing the TZ thing and then waiting, I'll just get into it. Let's just talk about it. If you want to send a question here to ask you a question button there at the top. We we all have things that we want to see get made again or sequels. Right, this is one that I've been asked about a bunch And when Microsoft purchased Bethesda, this is one of a lot of people thought, hey, maybe you could happen because they have that team, and they have that developer maybe, or and they have that IP, maybe they could happen. Okay, so very early, this is very early, but people have begun to have talks and say these words and sentences and those words are Obsidian and New Vegas two. Very early. This is like, listen, we're talking years and years away. But I will say that there's at least an interest and conversations being had about making something like that actually a reality. Obsidian is a team that Microsoft bought before they ever bought Bethesda. Then they bought Bethesda, they got the fallout IP, and a lot of people say, hey, why wouldn't upset Obsidian just do that. Well, Obsidian's very busy. Obsidian's got a lot of games in the works. You know, They've They've got Grounded, They're doing a Vowed, right, Okay, I can't keep all the teams straight at Microsoft anymore. I think they're the ones doing a Vowed. They have some other stuff I think in the works. But if you think about it, it makes sense, right because we've talked about on this show about how far away, how far away a new Fallout game could be if we are just sticking with Bethesda Game Studios proper, right, So if you're sticking with Bethesta Game Studios, we gotta get Starfield out and our Field's not going to just come out and that be that They're going to do a lot of updates for It's going to keep them busy. There will be a team that moves on very quickly to the Elder Scroll six. But how fast are we really expecting to see Elder Scroll six. We're talking years and years after Starfield comes out, and the Starfield is coming this year, so you know the timeframe there, Maybe it's like, okay, maybe it does happen a little bit quicker. But but that's the game. Studios is going to take their time, but they're not going to get to fall Out until after the Elder Scroll six more than likely, and then they're gonna look around and be like, Okay, now that's been fifteen years it's released a Fallout game or something, when we actually get another one released. I think this makes a lot of sense. I think a lot of people at Microsoft think that think that this could work, and I think that there's interest to make it happen. The sentences have been said that contained those keywords, so it's not like people are just throwing out the notion immediately. It looks like they are trying to move in that direction very early, very early. But I know people love this stuff, and you know, like whenever we try to talk about these sort of things, we are trying to like explain the thought process here. And I think if you consider like where they're at with these ips and with their studios, it doesn't begin to like fit with the model. And and also the idea is they want to have these ips active and ongoing, So it makes a lot of sense. Okay, there you go. For my flub, I've made it up to you. The next thing is this one's it's a small thing. It might be a joke, and previously it was a joke that they've sort of played up a little bit. But there was a trademark filed for a game called Hooked on You. This is a dating sim based in the Dead by Daylight universe, which is an online multiplayer sort of horror game where you play as a I think I've not played it, but my understanding is it's one of those asymmetrical sort of someone's the monster, someone's like a famous movie villain, like horror monster, like Freddy Krueger or something, and then all the kids are trying to escape it. You you've played it, my guest here is that you would be dating the monsters, and that's that's how it would work. Like that's what this is. They've there was I think there was a meme in the community about this concept, and I think my guest here is they're probably just playing it up. This isn't gonna be some major seventy dollars release, but I think it's a very cool idea. That's a very smart thing. Let's see and then uh, yeah, you know that by Daylight community is so huge and active, and they eat up everything, all the content they can get, so it makes sense to sort of try to stay on top of that all. Right, before we get into Spartacus, let's talk about Dragon Age four real quick again. We mentioned last week, Oh, it's doing great, and then another executive producer left this week, right, so it's like, oh, okay, well it's obviously not great anymore. No, I've checked in again. It's fine. Dragon Age four is doing just fine. It's meeting it's milestones. Is kind of the key phrase I keep hearing is it is exactly where everyone wants it to be. This is not like Battlefields, I think publicly. I remember when in the lead of the Battlefield publicly, Andrew Wilson and I think probably a conference call with investors, was saying something like the game is ahead of schedule. Well that wasn't that was never true. The game got delayed internally because it needed more time, so it was never really on schedule for that. Maybe for that delay, with that delay in mind, maybe they were on schedule for oh, it'll come out, but not for where the game needed to be, and everyone inside knew that. Everyone at EA knew. Excuse me, I've got a little bit of a fuzz. Everyone at EA knew that, everyone at Dice knew that, and they were just speaking publicly saying the game is going to come out in time for this quarter, at the end of this quarter, so that we can get this money in the holiday and stuff like that. That's what they meant. This is not the same thing with dragon Age. Dragon Age is, first of all, still at least eighteen months out, so there's a lot of time. But for where it should be at this point in the process, it's coming along very nicely. I think a lot of that has to be chalked up to working with unreal engine instead of working with Frostbite. The challenges with with BioWare recently have They're not all Frostbite, of course, but Frostbite is a very challenging engine to work with, especially if you're like doing animations. I mean, we saw that like all the joke the memes about Mass Effect Andromeda and stuff like that, but even Anthem. Anthem was like this stiff world where like the MPCs never moved like you remember, like I remember going back to Mass EFFCT Legendary Edition and going back to Mass Effect one, going in a bar and seeing like, oh, all the NPCs are dancing and flailing around and doing all kinds of crazy movements and you never saw anything like that in any of the Frostbite games from BioWare. Well, they're working on an unreal engine, a very robust tool set, well documented tool set. It seems like if you have the creative side figured out, the tech side's going to sort of take care of itself. Now I say that, and I bet there's developers like nothing takes care of itself, and that's true, and that's true with Dragon Age four. They are obviously having all the kinds of headaches you have when you have to make a big game. That's definitely still happening, but it's nothing that they're not prepared to take on and nothing that they weren't expecting. The game is in really solid shape still, like there's just no reason to panic. Uh sorry, I just saw my message from janc and I look and sound great and I feel very good about myself. Thank you. Jan. Okay, let's talk about Spartacus. So Spartacus we know about because of Jasa Tryer and Bloomberg. He did a report basically saying that it's going to be coming soon. It's it's a new subscription service meant to go head to head with Xbox Game Pass, and it's gonna maybe have classic games and stuff like that. Well, I got a little bit more information, miss some of the details. Now some of these things. I'll preface it by saying some of these things could change. We are probably probably getting pretty close to this actually launching. I my understanding is something's probably gonna happen by the end of this month, and I don't think that necessarily means publicly. I think in terms of like their internal like milestones of where the service needs to be so they can launch it soon. I think they're trying to figure that out by the end of this month early next month. But still the information I have could be outdated. It could be it could be placeholder, but I think in general this is a good explanation of what to expect from this service. So there will be three tiers right now, they are called Essential, Extra, and Premium. The pricing again could be placeholder, but the pricing is ten dollars a month for Essential, thirteen dollars a month for Extra, and sixteen dollars a month for Premium. What do you get in each one. Well, the overall structure seems very similar to something like EA Play. If you've ever subscribed, like EA Play on Xbox or PlayStation or PC or or it should play whatever they call it now, the subscription service basically where I mean, let's start from the top and work down. So for premium sixteen dollars per month, that's a lot. That's more than Game Pass Game Pass Ultimate right now, So what do you get? Do you get full games? Yeah, kinda little bit, not really kind of It's like EA Play you get game trials. You're gonna get full game trials. I don't know if that means for every single game that comes out. It seems to be implying that though, And like, what is the time going to be on that. It's probably gonna very from game to game, But on EA Play it's ten hours per game. You go in there, you try it, and if you want to buy it, you could buy it. Usually you get a discount. I don't know about the discounts. I don't know about the time limit. But game trials for big new games is kind of what's going to be in there. That's not the only thing. You also get classic games and streaming, So none of the other tiers will have a cloud streaming. You only get the cloud streaming through the Premium tier, but you also get classic games. What does classic games mean? I'm sorry, I wish I knew. I wish I could tell you. I don't know, at least nothing that I could feel good about sharing because I feel like some of its speculations of its again, there's there's noise in the signal. Basically, I don't know what classic gaming means means, but I do know that it is a major part of this premium tier. So you have game trials, classic games and streaming on this premium tier. Now I'm gonna move down to tier and obviously all this stuff will be included above. So the Extra tier you get downloadable game catalog. So not if this seems like anything in PS now that was downloadable seems like it'll work in here. And this is I think the number was something like over two hundred fifty over three hundred games or something like that. You don't get cloud streaming, but you do get over three hundred games you can download, and they'll I think if you subscribe to the Extra tier, you will at the very least get these games just popping and appearing in your library. You'll just see them there and you'll be able to just download it. Oh, you know, because it's in this game catalog. I'll be able to download it. And then you get Essential, which is PS plus with the monthly games, just like you know it today. Now, are there annual membership numbers for like how much these things cost? I don't know. I haven't heard anything like that, And to me, that sounds like one of the reasons why they've been getting rid of subscription cards, why they've been like moving away from anything at retail while they've sort of pulled back. I don't know if there's gonna be an annual option, sort of like Xbox Game Pass doesn't have an annual option, right. You don't save money by getting an annual option with Xbox Game Pass anymore. It's one of the reasons they can sort of afford to do it. It's because you're gonna be paying monthly and you're gonna be paying more over the year, but it's a smaller fee per month or something like that. I don't know. That's speculation on my part, but that's the hunch I get so all again, all the services. So if you get the premium, you get monthly games, you get the three hundred plus game game catalog, you get classic games, game trials, and cloud streaming. That is their offer to you for sixteen dollars per month. I think that this is probably gonna be pretty successful. I think the game trials thing is actually a pretty big answer to to to what game Pass does. Because one of the things people say about game Pass it's like, it's great, I pay so much per month and at least get to try the games and know if I like them. And if I like them, yeah, sure they might leave the service one day, but I could always just go in. Uh, I could always just go and buy it or something like that. I am looking at the wrong camera. God, damn it, thank you who you know what? I'm talking to the interview host over here. This is just gonna be a mess today, everybody, I think, and I think this isn't gonna probably be pretty successful because they have I think the pricing is really compelling. Where Okay, you already have uh you know, you probably already have PS plus for ten dollars per month or whatever per year. Now we're all breaking we're now we're bringing in what we're previously a lot of these ps now features, we're breaking those down and we're giving those to you for cheaper and and sure, if you just want to download them, there's paid three dollars more. But if you just paid three dollars more than that, you get all this stuff and classic games. It's it's the medium popcorn thing that we've talked about a lot, where you you see the medium popcorn and then you see a large popcorn, you say large popcorns, only you know, twenty five cents more. Why wouldn't I do that? And then you don't think about the fact that you're spending fourteen dollars and a bucket of popcorn. You will only think about the fact that you're spending a quarter or more than a medium. It's a mental trick. Everyone doesn't And I think that I think that you're going to see a little bit of that psychology used here because at a certain point, you know, what's three dollars more per month is what a lot of people are gonna end up saying, yeah, that's that seems to be Spartacus, that seems to be yes, this is a game mess exactly. Uh that Spartacus, that is I think this is kind of what you can expect. I think we would hear about it pretty soon. Things could change, these prices, the pricing could change, uh, the you know, the the structure of what is in what tier could change. I'll say that this is what they've been considering recently. This is what I've heard. So yeah, that's that's gonna do it for me. Up front, we should probably get to the questions. All right, So I'm gonna hit the button to do that. Let's go to chant view. I'm gonna scroll on down. Okay, there we go from feature creep asking the important question should street Fighter six be renamed street Fighter Thicks because they're thick, because they're very wide? Right, Yes, I you know what, I'm picking up what you're putting down. I'll be honest, I'm I'm getting it from Slane mcawsome. What amazing ten out of ten video game is going to get released four years in four years time, one week after Horizon three gets released? Right, Yeah, that's it is pretty bizarre that that keeps happening in that game. It's not like it hurts Horizon. Horizon eventually did sell twenty million copies, and this one's probably gonna do that even faster than the first one. But but yeah, it is kind of a pattern now, so I'm gonna I'm gonna guess it's gonna be No Runner two. Snow Runner two is gonna come out a week after Horizon, and it's gonna be the first one hundred and one out of one hundred game. It's just Kevin V. Where's Marvel? But seriously, how did you feel about that Street Fighter reveal? I It's kind of what I was expecting. They weren't going to do too much more than what they showed. It was just a teaser. They're gonna find a place to put it this summer. I think the biggest thing is PlayStation's name was nowhere, Sony's name wasn't anywhere. And I feel like if Sony had the deal it had last time, where it helped pay for development and it was like very much involved in getting this game created, we would have saw the PlayStation Sony logo somewhere like they don't spend their money without getting their money's worth. I mean, right, doesn't that make sense? Maybe I'm wrong. It will totally accept if I am This is me just working backwards from what we saw, but that's kind of my big takeaway is this seems like it's probably gonna be multi platform, which makes for a ongoing live service fighting game in twenty twenty two from feature Creep. What impact will a no Call of Duty have on the industry? If any, I mean it's gonna it's gonna have a pretty significant Fewer people will go into game stop. And I know that doesn't sound like a big deal, but it is. Fewer people will go into game stop a game stop this November to pick up their Call of Duty, and occasionally when they did that, they many of them, a certain percentage would pick up another game. They would many of them would would buy new hardware because their old hardware either was last gin or that there was something shiny and new that they could play it on some when they're a bigger hard drive or something like that. Many of them would pick up controllers and headsets. There's going to be a knock on effect through the entire Like when we get the MPD report, it is software, hardware, and accessories, and you're gonna see no like year over year, it's going to be a pretty significant drop I would imagine, especially in something like accessories, where other games don't really push people to like pick up a lot of controllers and a lot of headsets usually, and you know, through the pandemic that changed, like Fortnite and Apex Legends, we're tyfinitely encouraging people to pick up that sort of thing. But I think every November you could sort of count on people getting Call of Duty and then oh, my old controller is kind of busted, kind of covered in cheeto dust, I'm gonna go buy a new one. But I also think it means we could get an opportunity for a lot of interesting games to launch in November. You know, maybe this doesn't scare off Nintendo and we actually get Zelda this year. I'm joking, Nintendo's not scared of anything from buff Pups. Do you have any insight into what Street Fighter six might end up being, as in, is it more of the same with a new mechanic or two, or are they trying to really shake up the series what the series has been to this point. I don't know. I don't know. It's hard to like get a sense of where they're gonna go. I think that Street Fighter has a lot of baggage coming along with it, and you know, I mean, Jeff Jeff g did a good job of talking through it on the BombCast this week where he was like, you know, after street Fighter two, street Fighter three was alienating to sort of the wider audience, even though it became this really fantastic game by the end with Third Strike, and then street Fighter four was back to the basics, and then street Fighter five was sort of more of that, maybe with less of a visual identity, maybe less of an overall identity, and now with six, you're faced with, Okay, we had we We've seen all these ways we could do this before. Do we just keep going down this same path that has sort of been like, do we new Super Mario Brothers this series with street Fighter six and just sort of make four again but slightly modernized, or do we really go for it? I would assume that they probably think they should really go for it. They have a new, like new leadership overseeing the series now from the start at least I think that my guest here, and this is just a guess, is they will take a chance with this with this game from Slay mcawesome. What other video game franchise should get the street Fighter six thick aesthetic. Yeah, Luigi's mansion. I just want to see wide ghosts. I want to see Luigi with a dump trunk behind with the donk, and I just went like, he turns around and knocks the camera over like that deck. So Luigi's matching the easy answer for me from Doug Foot, who I think is named after a Colorado Avalanche hockey player. I'm pretty sure that was whatever. Which potential best game of all time will come out next week after Horizon three? Yeah? So or come out a week after Horizon right? Right? We we just did this one. But yes, absolutely it's gonna be snow Runner to get in your trucks, drive through the mud, and everyone's gonna the game's not gonna be much better than snow Runner one, but the world will have changed to embrace it in the way that I have. That's that's gonna be the big change. From Slay mcaustin, what's the deal with all these video games getting released around the same time? Why are they so good yet so long? Yeah? This is This is a hell of a month for games and it is and I mean that in like it's look even if you don't love them all. Even if you pick like one or two, you're gonna end up with a couple of games that could easily be hundreds of hours. Elden Ring is very long, very big, and you know, I got that sense pretty early on. But then it's bigger than you even it's like really hard, Like I'm okay, I open this one part of the map, this is pretty big, and then there's this whole part of the map, but that looks like it's the ocean. Maybe there's nothing. It's like it's bigger than you even like could comprehend. And then of course it's also very good. So yeah, I know, it's just one of those months. I think the reason they all kind of come out at the same time is a lot of it does have to do with the fist end of the fiscal year, like we should never discount that. That's a big motivating fact. After a lot of it is this is a good time to release games because it's cold in your major territories. It's cold in Japan, it's cold in Europe, it's cold in North America. People are inside playing a lot of games. They also have these new systems that they just got for the holidays and they are looking to spend money, and these are many of these games are not I mean, maybe Horizons not gonna fit this description, but many of these games are not Birthday gift or arms are Christmas gift sort of games, right. They are not Call of Duty. They are not Assassin's Creed, the games where you know you know not that gift buying actually drives so much of the industry. Most people buy their own games. But in February, that's sort of the mindset of the people releasing the games is we're gonna people got these systems for the holidays. Now they're sitting around with them, and they're sort of feeling anxious about I spent a lot of money or someone's spend a lot of money. You get this for me, and I want to get my money's worth. What's out there and now here is Oh, here's the new best new game of all time. Go play that, and everyone's gonna move on it. This game's elder Ring Horizon. These games are gonna sell a ton from Patope, Hey, Jeff any word on Persona for Golden being ported to Switch. I'd imagine with the Shimagami Tense success, they'd at least be considering it. They don't consider anything. They're just consideration is not in their purview of how they operate. They do, so they put out games without consideration. They just throw them wherever. Persona for Golden would make a lot of sense on the Switch. It's made a lot of sense on the Switch from day one. Still not here. Persona going to other platforms is just this bizarre thing where no one knows why, other than maybe Atlas is sort of strange about like they're the one company still operating in that GameCube Xbox mindset of you know, oh, we're LucasArts, and Xbox is gonna get these Star Wars games. GameCube is gonna get these Star Wars games. The PlayStation two's gonna get these Star Wars games. And that's how Atlas still operates today, even everyone's moved on so far from that. It just doesn't make any sense anymore. I don't know. From casual dear Senior snacks. I find myself drawn to Capcom's pixel style of the nineties and get excited when I see a new fighting game compilation. Then I remember I burn out on fighting games. Mondo fast am I alone in this no, you're I mean, it's definitely like they're exciting. They look great. Those nineties capcom fighting games are maybe some of the best aesthetic style ever in the history of the world. It's very attractive. I mean they're literally they were games to attract you to come put money into them at the arcade, so they had to have this sort of raw appeal and they still have that to this day. And I agree with you, it's like, very attractive. I want to go play them myselves and myself and then it's I don't have a crew that's gonna come over and play with me. And even though in the crew that does play fighting games doesn't really love playing them online. So I'm the same where it's just I'm probably gonna burn out on these games. I still gonna pick up that collection though. All right, here's Doug Foot, let me have it. Did you enjoy Colorado beating Detroit last night? Not really, No, it was a you know, the Detroit played better than they did the first time. Detroit is still very young. They are not as good as Colorado. Colorado is probably the best team this year, them or Florida. A couple other teams. Tampa Bay is still pretty good. Who else? I don't I don't need to go through the whole league, but it's it was a tough game. I kind of knew Colorado was gonna come in and win. Colorado bent and didn't break. And then even when they did band they came right back and scored a couple of goals. So their team that's just gonna be that should dominate in the playoffs. Honestly, if Colorado doesn't get to the finals, it's a disappointing year for them based on what this season has been. So better not choking the playoffs. Good luck with that from Slay mccawesome, looking good, Jeff, did you get a new webcam? This is a new new one. I actually I prefer the Chio pros look, but this one's good too. This is the Gotto face camp. It's very good. It's all got to right that that's O Gotto's logo. Yes, all right, let's keep going from Chris Flavian, Hi, Jeff, what's going on with Star Fox? There were rumors a couple of years back about that Namco Star Fox racing game, but nothing since I was never involved with like those rumors. That was kind of like before I was in this sort of quarterman game. Since then, this one's come up a bunch and the people who were involved with it, no one wants to talk about it. Everyone's like, yeah, that was weird. And some people claim it was a hoax buy Nintendo to snuff out leakers and find out who was leaking, and other people claim it's a real game. Some people claim it's both, and I don't know anything about it. I will say that overall, for star Fox, it'll come back eventually. It always does. You know, there's a lot of ip sort of power of Star Fox where it's one of those games that people always talk about and to know, seems to bring back their games to people sometimes even stop talking about, like Advance Wars. So you'll probably get another Star Fox. It's I think it's not even quite in the realm of like F zero, where maybe we won't get another F zero, but I think we will get another F zero eventually. Funk A Doodle asks how do you deal with games? Fomo? I feel like there's so many games, and I just feel bad about missing out on so many experiences other people have. Yeah, Fomo is a it's a it's a real piece of shit, you know, the meditate, it's probably the right answer. Fomo is driven from fear of of like not possessing these experiences and stuff like that, and you sort of have to be a little bit Buddhist about it and just say rid yourself of desire a little bit. Now. I think desire is great. That's how I live my life. I desire all kinds of things. So who amight have talked? But a fomo really bothers. You try to actually meditate and let go of things. And as you as these fears of missing out come in to you let them go and that'll help. It puts things into perspective. If you want to shortcut, there's like there's psychochemical ways of dealing with these things, but I would not suggest those. I'll say probably more more than likely, just shut off Twitter, try to get in a conversation, like build a discord around people who are sort of in your in your same situation, who maybe like the same game you're playing right now. Instead of going on Twitter and having the conversation with everyone, go in your friend group, go on discord, create a channel just for the game you're playing, and have everyone hang out in there and talk about those games. Uh, and and try not to remember that this why the world is out there teasing you. Enjoy what you have in front of you. Let's see from last length a what's going to be the focus of the next State of Play announced to March. I think Spartacus is going to be a big part of it. I think they could announce it in a blog post or a YouTube video of course. And one thing I didn't mention with the with the Spartacus stuff is they're going to completely rework the store as well. I think at least that's one of the things they're considering. So it's gonna be a major overhaul, the kind of thing I think they might want to talk about in a State of Play a little bit. But the State of Play will probably also be them beginning to fill out the rest of their release schedule. And you know, that doesn't mean we're gonna get every big game, but we should get it. I think they're probably gonna have a couple of big games ready to announce, and then when we get around that that you know, that post E three PlayStation showcase timeframe late summer early fall around then then they'll give us the real runway of here's everything coming out in twenty twenty three that you should be excited about and maybe beyond all right. From Watchman Forget elder Ring, what did you think of Tape the tape? Yeah, Tape of Tape looks really cool. It's a it's a Rogue light hockey game. I need to know what it plays like, because I'm like, what does that even mean? I'm like imagining I can't remember the character's name from from Hades now, but imagining like Hades with a hockey stick like that would be very cool. It's not what it looked like, but that's what I'm imagining. I don't know. I'm excited it's coming out later this year. I'm excited to play it. From Zekretz, would you rather completely shave off the hair, the hair off the top of your head or your beard. It's gonna be counterintuitive because my hair is luscious and it grows in nice and full and it's it's it's nice, and then my beard struggles to be a beard. But I would rather cut. I'd rather shave my hair because first of all, I haven't done an That's what I used to do. I would buzz and then I'd grow it out buzz and then grow it out every couple of years or something like that or a year, and I like it. It's like cool to have that like weight lifted off your head for a little bit. And I just think, you know, as struggle beard as it is, it still looks better than my actual face. So uh yeah, I'd rather I'd rather cut off my hair. You know, the hair will grow back just fine. Uh from Shadow? That's like famous last words, isn't it? From Shadow? Viper double? Uh? Where to go? Hi? Jeff Well? Dragon Ball Fighters Z even get role that neck code? Or is a potential sequel the only chance for it to happen? Well, we'll ever get it. I don't know. I don't know the answer to this question. I my gut tells me it's probably gonna be in a sequel if at all from Adam through Maybe if like Street Fighters six comes out and has it and it is like makes it so obvious that every fighting game absolutely has to have this in a post pandemic world, then maybe, But I don't know. From Adam three times, do you think there's a chance Namca will ever make another Splatter House? I think so that what was the what was the last one, the kind of like the more modern one was that on like Dreamcast? More modern was that Dreamcast or I don't know, but I feel like that was like it's like a cult classic now and well received, like you know, like the original. So I don't know, I think they could do another one, like remembering e GM magazine covers with splatter House on it from lud Jennings, New Vegas two sounds like a great idea, any idea if they're going to remaster Fallout three and New Vegas in the meantime, I think there's plans to sort of get around to remastering all of the big franchises that are now under Microsoft, So I think Gears will probably happen. I think Fallout will probably get a sort of legendary edition eventually, So yeah, I think that'll probably happen. I don't know if it's gonna happen anytime soon, but it's on the plate, okay. From vitre ly vetterally Dear Grubsy. Who on Earth is DJ two Entertainment. They do deals with studios and contact every studio I know about bringing their games to the big screen, promising the world, promising them the world. Also turns out they work with Serge Titolf of Big Reg's fame on his latest Nightmare. Okay, so they worked on his latest namemare. I don't know. I'm like unfamiliar with DJ two entertainment for the most part. But I'll ask around. I got some people who like crossing both of those worlds, like of movie studios and video games, and I'll ask around. We'll see what they say. That's like an interesting story right there. I'll check it out from Dixie Dan eighty two. How happy are the staff at Traarch that they have another year to work on the next Black Ops? Very happy, very happy this is I mean, this is not the first Call of Duty game that needed an extra year, it's the first one that's gonna get one. Though, this was always really what everything was about. Yeah, I mean, listen, the toxic work environment at Activision and Blizzard drove down the price absolutely. That made it possible for the acquisition to actually happen. But if it was just that, if everyone said it's gonna be about the money, it's gonna be if investors aren't happy, well why do you sell when the private when the stock is down and only get like ninety five dollars to share or whatever it was. If if, if you're gonna have that next quarter, it's gonna be a big banger. Well they're not gonna have the next quarter. It's gonna be a big banger. Vanguard was going to be a disappointment. This next call of to he's probably gonna be okay. But then after that, you're gonna have to delay the next one after like they're struggling to get talent. We talked about all this, We laid out exactly what was going to happen. It's very not surprising that this is what happened, that they needed to delay a call of duty and they were going to have a holiday without those big numbers rolling in and having to figure out other ways of navigating and bringing in revenue. They knew that their future, that their outlook for the next couple of years was going to be shaky at best, and so when they had an opportunity and they're like, listen, we could just pull the golden parachute and get out here, they did. From Uh from Snake, everyone praises Birth of the Wild and Elder Ring for not having a map filled with icons. What if I like a map, what if I like to have icons? Sorry about my name, Yes, it's S five N A K E. I uh listen. If you like the map, you like the map. Elder Ring does have a map, it just doesn't have like icons that you fill it out, but you can put your own icons. Like Breath of the Wild, I liked it because it keeps you in the world and it forced it obviously forced the developers to make a world that is compelling to look at and when you look around just flung my thing off. Okay, when you just when you look at the map, something interesting has to be in the environment to draw your eye to say, okay, keep moving forward. Because if it's not there and there's nothing on the map, let's say go forward. Well, it's just a it's a bad game, a boring game. Breath of the Wild and Elder Rain both have this thing where you know, if you're standing in a spot anywhere in the world and you look around, you're gonna find something You're gonna want to go look at what is that? And I like that because it keeps you in the world. It keeps you, it keeps you engaged with the actual geometry that the all these developers spend all this time building and not just like a little you know, you're not just a little icon on a GPS going to the next icon, which is how a lot of map games can feel. Now, is there anything inherently wrong with being a little icon on a GPS going to the next icon? Not really. No. If you enjoy that, go go play your Assassin's Creed. Yes there, Yes, Voiburger says, there are loads of games out there for people like that. Map games is probably one of the most popular genres. Right right now, you are at no I mean Horizon for in West, right there, homie, go get it. Go get it from costable costabile. Do game companies care about big release dates being too close to each other? For example, Eldering possibly dominated the discourse when Horizon was still on people's minds. If so, why wouldn't they have planned Horizon's release date accordingly? Well, I mean, these things are messier than that, and there's a lot of these things are big moving trains. They're big moving freight trains with a ton of momentum. I will say, for the most part, companies do care about release dates of other things, absolutely, but it's not as big of a deal as we make it to be a lot of times. Certainly, some games can cancel each other out. I do think titan Fall two was wedged between Call of Duty and Battlefield, and that hurt it. That was EA's own doing by putting Battlefield between or in front of it and stuff like that. But for the most part, the people showing up for elden Ring and the people showing up for Horizon actually are pretty different. And if you are someone who is very into game, getting excited about buying games is sort of a win for everyone because you know, you get excited, you played a very good game, you want to play the next one. You go, oh, what was the last game that came out that was very good? Everyone was talking about, Oh, they were talking about Horizon. Maybe I'll go pick that up. It's not ideal, but there are all these considerations of the big moving freight train. You know, they decide these dates pretty far out. We've known about Horizons date for a few months, quite a few months, I think by the time we got Horizons State, I believe Eldering was still supposed to come out in January and it got delayed into February. And then if you are you're Sony and you're looking around like, Okay, should we move Horizon, Well, probably not. It's probably gonna sell just fine. The first one was right when Breath of the Wild came out, and the first one went on to sell twenty million copies. Also, we have all these promotions, we have all these ad buys on television that we are in the middle of negotiating, and we've spent spend that money, and we have a whole bunch of other money that we want to go out and spend. We don't want to waste time going back and read to go shating these deals, finding other time slots and you know, you know whatever marketing deal we have with merchandising, Oh can you hold on to that for a few extra weeks. Oh you have to put it into a warehouse. Oh that's super expensive. Well that sucks. We don't want to do that. There's just when when a game is as big as Horizon, it is very difficult to sort of just change the date on a whim. It's it's you know, it doesn't mean it doesn't happen, obviously it does. Sometimes. Obviously games get delayed by a month. Here and there. At the end of the day, the most important thing is getting out a good game. If it needs another month, they'll take another month. That rarely makes a difference, as we saw a Battlefield, but for the most part, just having another game coming out not usually, even if it's as big as elden Ring, not gonna be enough to make a big publisher want to change their release date. Let's see from sad Rave, which is the only kind of ray of that I enjoy. Have you heard anything outside of leagues about Armored Cores or anything else post elden Ring. I haven't. Uh you know, there's there's a lot of fake rumors that have been going around in the last couple of weeks about what from is doing next, mostly trying to keep like squelch those and make sure those don't like go out when they come to me. But beyond that, it's like, yeah, there's talk of Armored Core. People are talking about it, but uh, you know, it's just it's the common rumblings. We'll see. I do think the next game is probably either going to be an Armored Cores or like an Armored Souls sort of a spiritual successor. I'm imagining a mech just covered in tentacles and and seventy arms human arms from Corey Kyman Corey Carmen. I saw the mccor that MCC is listed as unsupported on Steam Deck. Does this mean we can't play it at all? From what I've read, it is an issue with anti cheat. But all I want is to play the campaigns, so I could talk more about these specifics tomorrow when I get done with this show. I'm going into my little work cave and I'm not coming out probably tomorrow morning when the embargo is up for the Steam Deck, because I got a lot of a lot of thoughts I want to get all put together in a bunch of different formats. I will say though, that for most games when you try to boot them up and if they have anti cheat, for example, if you if you have something that would block anti cheat, like easy Easy anti cheat for Elden Ring on your PC, and I'll just say from experience I've done this, it says, oh there's there's a misbehavior going on with the software, We're going to boot you into offline mode. That is almost certainly what would happen with master Chief Collection, so you'd be able to play the game in offline mode with the campaigns, I believe I could double check. I'll try to find out. I'll see if I have time downloading games and testing them. Especially when you've limited space on the thing and you're trying to get all kinds of other captures stuff happening. It's difficult, but I'll see what I can find out. My guest here is you're gonna be fine. From Zekretz, who should direct a new Star Wars movie doesn't have to be a numbered movie, so could focus on anything. I don't know. Probably Christopher mcquory. Uh, there's that his name, the guy that's been working with Tom Cruise on all his movies recently. I think I love the Ryan Johnson last Jedi. I thought that was going in the right direction. Obviously, we have decided as a society, as a fandom, and as lucasfilm that we are not going to go down the interesting route. So at least I'm hopeful that they can go down the entertaining route. And I will say that is how I define most recent Tom Cruise movies not interesting, but very entertaining. And Christo mcgory like speaks to that. He's like, uh and He talked about this with like The Last Jedi. He was talking about The Last Jedi, where it's like, listen, you gotta understand you have still surprise fans while giving them exactly what they expect, and his movies do that very well. The Mission Impossible movies are exactly what I expect and always surprised me somehow. And I think if if you know Star Wars is sort of gonna just slowly die this way, you know, slowly die in terms of being a valuable product of culture, you know, at least it could be entertaining. I think Christoph McCory is the right man for the job. Probably won't do it. He seems pretty happy just making Tom Cruise movies, and those movies are very good. I like him a lot. So yeah, whatever from Evil Bender, Any chance of another BattleTech game from Hairbrain Schemes, I think so. I don't know for sure. I bet that that one did pretty well and they would probably want to go have another go From Permanent Side, is Shadow Warrior three launching on PS now a hint of what is to come for the service? Ignore if you already talked about this when you got to your Spartacus segment. I think that it is. I don't know that one seems like it might be a a vestige, a leftover of what like maybe a play path they are gonna take. I think, you know, we were always going to get like they always have done, Okay, new game releases on PS plus. Having this on PS now it is a bit interesting. It doesn't fit into any of those key feature categories we talked about, you know, game, your game catalog, game trials, classic games, monthly games. I guess maybe it fits in the monthly games. I don't know, but then everything gets a monthly game on PS plus. This is different because it's PS now. From what I've heard, it doesn't necessarily fit with what happens with Spartacus, but that doesn't mean they won't do more of it, and this isn't Maybe this is another separate pillar that they're working on. From Wawa Monday. Should I wait for the switch release or Twilight Princess or buy Twilight Princess for WEU before the e shop closes. I mean it's probably more. It's probably more, and I don't know. They probably didn't drop the price in the WU. Now that I'm about to say that I'm gonna wait. I have not bought Toilet Princess. I have Windwakeer HD on the WU. I did not buy Toilet Princess HD. I'm going to wait and get it on the switch. That's my choice. If you are someone who regularly finds your way it finds a way to have Wi you game pad in your hands, which I occasionally do once plugged in right over there for the kids and everything. But I don't have a lot of time to just go sit over there and play games. That's I do have time to like take the switch with me around the house and that sort of thing. So yeah, I don't know, that's my choice. I'm gonna get it on the switch from Ojeebus. The announcement of the Capcom Fighting Collection made me wonder if we will ever see Super Street Fighter two TURBOHD remix on modern consoles. Uh, you know, it's probably got the full back of pad on Xbox, right, They probably just need to release it on PlayStation. I don't know. I wonder with like the back of pad if I would do that, because I'm sure it just works on when it came out on on Xbox three sixty, didn't it And then Pops three. Did it come out? PS three? I remember playing on Xbox three sixty. I don't know. My answer to this is probably not, but you know, we'll see, all right, checking the time got plenty. I know there's a I think there's coming. I think they're doing Arcade Pit today, right? Or is that yesterday? I think I got something coming out. Oh it's Voice Bail Dumb Trunk today. Right. So I'm trying to keep on time and make sure I'm not going too long. But it's only been forty seven minutes. We're doing fine, all right? From Madjevnakov Majennakov. Yeah, there we go to Paraface Tookoda's question from Twitter, just how much more is Kirby in the Forgotten Land going to be critically lauded than elden Ring. Yeah, I mean there's there's untold amounts of praise just waiting to happen for Kirby the Elder Ring could only dream of getting. The Kurby game looks very fun. I hope it's good. I hope it's good. Mike Tokoto is getting his hopes up very high. He's one of those guys that, like usually he plays these games, and occasionally they disappoint him because they're a bit too slow, paces they're too much for kids. They don't challenge kids in any way. It's just sort of like this nice stroll and that could be kind of boring. And I hope, I really hope that that is now a Kurbys. I hope Kirby is just like, yeah, we basically gave Kirby's first real three D platformer. This is like if we were doing another Mario or whatever. It is just as challenging as one of those, just as interesting as one of those. I'm hopeful. From disposable user, I just wanted to say that I recently bought Honey Pop when it was on sale due to you and games Beat talking about it. So thanks for that doing the Yeah, I'm doing the choking on the hot sauce. Listen, I barely talked about it. You gotta tell you gotta blame Rachel, you gotta blame Mike kra That that was. I hardly had anything to do it, although I have tested it on steam Deck, so just to we're clear, I've tested a lot of Purve games on Steam Deck. Of I mean like it's like they're like oh, steam verified, and it's like you open it up, You open the game, like, what is this game? This is Steam verified? Someone at Valve tested this game. It looks kind of perving. You open up, and then like the first thing you see is just a honking giant penis, Like, oh, okay, it's a Purve game. Cool, all right, let's test it out. Let's get in there, let's find out what's going on with this video game. And it's more. It's more penises and genitalia, just all the way down from sad Rave. Any chance Activision games start hitting game pass before the acquisition closes, that's a tough one. That did happen with Bethesda, right, But I would imagine that a lot of those conversations were happening beforehand. And I don't know. I don't know if like, Okay, those conversations weren't happening beforehand here, so now we're gonna have them because we know where we're headed. I don't know if they'd be able to do that. I'm not familiar enough with like the legal navigation that we are required to pull that off. But maybe from eat the hype, will the Spartacus rolled out be supported day and date on PC as well. So that's a good question because PlayStation now does work on PC. What does this mean for PlayStation now, that's a good question. I don't know. And what does it mean, like would you be able to get Spartacus on PC? Probably not right. I didn't even think about it. I'll look into it. I'll see what I can find from misery. No question today, I just wanted to say thank you for doing this. Got home from work and catching up on news and it needed something to take my mind off of everything. Thanks. Yeah, I mean I was like, one, or should we do a show today? How should we address it? And really the my decision making came down to, I am I couldn't. I honestly, embarrassingly couldn't point Ukraine on a map. I can't play up Nebraska on a map as an American. So that's not like, oh, like, oh, I'm just completely blind to that part of the world. I'm just blind in general. And but I'm like, if I am this stupid on the subject, and my opinion is I hope people don't die, and I don't. I think worth's pretty bad, and this is like, I think this is devastating news and this is. It just seems, from the outside looking in, incredibly stupid and incredibly wasteful and incredibly pointless, and just another example of this generation that has ruled everything for fifty years just continuing to make things worse for everyone else because they are on their way out and they want to make their indelible mark by killing more people. Sorry I'm doing it anyhow, But yeah, I figured we could probably just come in here talk about games. The world's gonna be there when we get done. When we get done here, it'll all still be there. So let's talk about games for now and then we'll go back to it when we're done here. From impose a lot, do you think Sony has an incentive to port their PSVR titles to Steam? Yeah, eventually, I think, But I mean they've done a like I would love to see astro Bot. Which one is that called Astrobot on a VR? I think it's the Astrobot A Rescue Mission. Yeah, I would love to see that on Steam. That'd be very cool. I think there's less of an incentive because it's not like there is a much bigger audience on PC for VR than there owns on place other than there's on PlayStation, so it's not like, okay, like Horizon goes to PC and it sells an extra million copies. No VR game's gonna sell an extra million copies by going to Steam. But you know, maybe the math still works out. From feature Creep who said Ben Driver no inside jokes from other podcasts, and also I'm embarrassed, so I don't want to talk about it. From Beef More More, Beef More Tron, Beef Beef Motron, I got it. I got it. Why does Square Nicks shame their poor selling games while other publishers pretend they never existed? I mean, I totally think. I think this is a thing about Square Knicks loves their real children and their step children from the West. They like to just treat as whipping boys. It's like very much that energy, very much. They have a huge step dad energy over at Square Knicks and I it's it happens every time that listen on this show. In December, we we said that The Guardians of the Galaxy was a disappointment. It was selling somewhere between one and one point five million copies at that time, way below what they were expecting, way below what they needed, and really a disappointment, I think kind of all around. I think we even most of us agreed that that seems like a little bit low for what that game should have done. But still at the same time, I think one to one point five million by December probably should have been in their projections as like a possible outcome, Like it should have been on the low end obviously, but it's like, yeah, it's a disappointment, but it's not so far out of their projections. Square Knicks just always expects the world and then they don't, I don't know, and it seems like they don't really have the support to back it up and try to make that actually happen. From Dominito, in the ten years of Infinite, will three four three ever drop support for Xbox One or will we see Infinite two down the road? My hunch here is that Infinite two is going to be part of that ten years of Infinite, and that the Infinite two will be like the campaign getting a big expansion, and then I think the online multiplayer, however, will continue to be supported on Xbox One for a long time, maybe not ten years, but for quite some time, like longer than anyone else would expect because really, they're gonna want that game to run on low end PCs for forever, and the Xbox One while gonna be among the lowest of like the spec spectrum of low end PCs in a couple of years, still they're gonna be like, Okay, if it runs on Xbox One, it'll run on almost any PC anyone's using right now, so they'll probably keep it going. Speaking of Hockey, how tipsy is the doctor? Let's take a look. Oh, still filing very tipsy, Doctor Hockey just gonna he's gonna get me here to talk to you about the new Jersey Devils. All right, I'm glad we were able to do that. Check from Vagrant game or hey Jeff, what does Jeff Gersman smell like? I imagine energy drinks and the ink that new game manuals are printed with. I remember I ran into h An E three and I was showing him my speaker hat, which was very exciting to me, and we talked about sinking up a bunch of speaker hats and terrorizing E three with music coming from all sides while these hooligans wearing Atari speaker hats were coming for you. But it was at E three in a crowded room I think at the the Xbox Show, like the show Hall or whatever they had for Xbox at Microsoft Theater, and so all I could was a thousand humans and some video game kiosks and Phil Spencer, who of course very pungent. So I couldn't I couldn't get a good whiff from Derfeet Derfief. Microsoft had a bunch of great months with great releases, but now they have lost some momentum with not much in arms reach. How can they possibly fix this in the long run, I mean the long run, These months are gonna go by and they're gonna we're gonna forget about him. We talked about this in December as well, where hey, they're having a good months right now. There's gonna be a gap. There's gonna be a drought in the early part of twenty twenty two, and then maybe Redfall comes out and breaks that. You know, maybe, or maybe Stalk or two is a big deal. Stalk or two got delayed, so you know, that's that's where we're at with that right now. One of the ways that they are fighting this is with announcements, with jazz hands. They come at you with jazz hands, like, listen, we don't have a video game right now, but we just spent sixty nine billion dollars on AT Division. Isn't that exciting? A lot of people is like, this is exciting. I don't need video games. I got I've got video game news. And you know, Microsoft loves making announcements for that reason, this is going to be less and less, less and less of a problem. Specifically because they just spent sixty nine billion dollars on ACT Division. They have so many studios, they have so many games, all scheduled for twenty twenty three. Yeah, a twenty twenty two is gonna be still pretty slow. Yes, it's the ongoing thing where when people say, hey, where are the games for Xbox, Well, yeah, we got a couple. Now it's time to wait again. And I just waited, We waited forever just to get Halo and Fortza. Well, no, you gotta wait again. But the waiting, the waiting periods will get shorter, like now you're waiting from You're waiting from Halo to Red Fall in the summer if it gets delayed to the fall, but then the very longest there will be Starfield in November that's a big game. It'll be a big deal. And really what you're waiting until and waiting for is E three when they could start talking about all these games coming out for next year. We've gone through this time, this timeline a million times now, where yeah, Halo, there's gonna be a gap after Halo. But if they could just get to E three, they could start telling you when Perfect Dark's coming, when a Vowd's coming, They'll really show you everything about Starfield, and then they could start those promotions and then you'll sort of forget, like, Okay, there's not nothing here. I'm waiting for Starfield. That's the most exciting thing. I can imagine. That's sort of the plan. In twenty twenty three, they will be able to probably get to a big game per quarter, if not a big game every two months. I imagine many of the big games schedule for twenty twenty three will slip into twenty twenty four. But then that just helps to alleviate the problem even more as we get further down the line, where if games were twenty twenty three, it's been twenty twenty four, and now they have thirty five hundred studios or whatever it is they'll be able to fill in those gaps and easily have a game every two months by twenty twenty four. I think so this is a problem that has already been solved. We are just in the waiting process where it's like now it's just a matter of physics or a matter of contractual obligations, where yeah, if they didn't have contractual obligations, they would have had Death Loop last year as well, and they'd have Ghost Wire Tokyo as well right now. So they're putting out a lot of games, some of them are just exclusive to PlayStation because that's how that's how the Embrakes go done. Breaking which is the famous idiom that everyone always says from casual, could you do your cold cassidy again, Gokay City. I think that's what I did. I don't remember at all what I said. I think I'm good old cold Okay City. The voice is not strong today, so I'm doing my best. From Dio game, A weird rumor went around that resume A four was money added by Xbox BS, right, I think so, I think so. I think so. I think that Microsoft has a lot of money they want to spend by the end of June, especially when it comes to Game Pass. If Microsoft money added resuable four, it'll be for Game Past Day one Resida before remake. But I don't know if they would be like spending that money. I don't know. I think it's probably bus Uh. Nintendo acquires SRD Group Nintendo QUID Group development studio it was worked with for decades. This is from Wesley LeBlanc over a Game Informer. So if you see a little bit of text on screen, that's what I'm reading right now. You go check that out yourselves. Uh, long time PRESOM partner that has worked on titles within Francis is like the legend is old in Super Mario. Okay, this is exactly what what we said would happen, right. Nintendo works with these companies. They know these These are companies that they know, that knows it could trust and wants to keep working with. And these studios at the same time know that they are worth more now than they've ever been worth and probably ever will be worth again. The demand for content, the demand for students, the demand for talent inflation, all these things are working together where hey, we're worth a lot because of the demands out there, because of the market pressures and the lack of supply in terms of being but just go out and start a new studio with new talent. Everyone is looking for talent, and then Nintendo has a lot of money, and that one's gonna be worth less next year than it is this year, so you might as well spend it because of inflation. So it's exactly what happened with Next Level, right, the team that's doing Mario Strikers. It's probably gonna happen with Mercury Steam maybe if they want to acquire Mercury's team after like the works of the reports of toxic corp environments, this is not too surprising. SRD did a lot of their mobile games too, says Marino. Thanks Marino, Okay, yeah, just makes a lot of sense. Okay, we are going to wrap up here pretty soon. If you have any more questions you want to get in, feel free to do so. I'm gonna read these last few from Vagrant game. Are currently addicted to a stupid anime clicker that I've put way too much time into. What was the less game that made you say this is stupid? Why am I still doing this yet still continue to play? That's most things in my life. It's most video games at this point, you know, a certain point, like you get closer to death than to birth, and you're like, huh, how am I choosing to spend my time? I still do it, and I still really enjoy it. I try not to feel too bad about it. But I know what you mean about the clicker games. I had my time with with Cookie Clicker and all those, and deffinitently came out of those with a messive amount of shame and guilt about the way I was spending my time. I get that way with a lot of big, polished games these days, big sort of I mean, as good as I think Horizon is from a distance. When I go to play it, I feel like I'm sort of just going through the motions that someone built for me. Even you know, even in an open world, it's still like, you know, this game's very much just trying to guide me along, and not in a way that like with Death Loop. I like Death Loop because it was very much guiding me along until it wasn't. Once you got to a certain point in the loops, It's like, I it showed me, it like was taking me down these paths and I was noticing all these things, and now I start to have a little bit of freedom to go mess around with those things. Then I noticed and I sort of built this mental map in my head and I could execute on those ideas. I like that, But but a lot of bike big games that are just like, hey, you know, go from this point in the next map games and uh and gout of war and stuff. I just find those ones I like. I don't know if I'm necessarily having. I want to be part of the creative creativity that happens in the game. In a game, or at the very least, I want to be in a sandbox where anything could happen and I can come out and tell an emergent story. That's why I like snow Runners so much. Most people aren't gonna want to hear the story about my truck getting stuck in the mud and how I had to bring another truck around and that truck flipped over, and yet I found a way to bring in a third truck and I jack that truck up, and now I had three trucks, and I had to figure out how like to go from one to the next. The next turn on the engine in the back truck, get in the front truck and sort of dragon like, I am having a great time telling this story. And it's actually that matters more to me than whether or not you're enjoying the story. But still that's what I get out of a lot of games. So if I don't get a chance to tell an emergent story and be part of like the creativity, a lot of times I do end up feeling like I'm wasting my time in a game. If it's just here is a story we wrote for you. If I wanted that, I'll you These days, I say to myself, I'm going to read a book. I'm gonna try to read a book instead from slammick awesome. How's the shrimp situation currently at home? So you should see her pile of meeps and lobsters that she has in her bed. It is getting bigger all the time. All the time. You know, we find we find toys would get him for, but then they'll be like bags of like little plastic animals that my family will send to the kids or something like that. I'm looking at throw on camera again and uh, and she'll always just fine, Oh there's a lobster here, and she just adds it to her collection. She said the words red lobster last night, and me and my wife are both like man when she learns to read and see and we drive past the red lobster and she goes, it's a meep? Can we go in my Oh honey, Oh no, no, you you don't. You don't want to see what they do to the lobsters in there. I feel like I'm gonna have to have the conversation with her before that happens and explain, yes, people eat seafood and they eat some of these meeps, and then she's gonna be like, have you ever eaten one of these meets? And then that's that's gonna be the end of me. That's gonna be That's gonna be it for me. So that's the current situation. That's what I'm dealing with. Uh. We are taking her to h the aquarium here in Denver here pretty soon, and I'm looking forward to that. Uh. Last time we went to that, my my older daughter who was probably around three at that time, she just she pet this thing right, And of course she was the one kid in the high place that got stung by the stingray, not like real bad. But like, just like the whatever it is, the little bit of a shock or whatever, I need to go wash it off, she cried. She like screamed as loud as she could snake bringing up an inside joke from another podcast, again against the rules. Even it doesn't matter that it's embarrassing to me. That's not what this is about. That's not what this is about. From zecrets, tell us more about the speaker hat. Let me see if it's around here somewhere. It usually is, but I don't know where. Okay, sometimes my kids get it, sometimes I wear it. I love the speaker hat. The Atari speaker hat is fantastic because I do have kids, and I like to listen to podcast because it helps me get stuff done and around the house. I need a dopamine go into my brain to make me be able to do simple tasks because like the dishes that or something like that. So I listened to podcasts all the time. But having something in your ears or over your ears, when people are trying to talk to you almost constantly, almost every second of the day, someone's trying to ask me something, it's very frustrating to keep taking things off. For taking things out and you know, with the in ear like wireless earbuds, you can't even hear anything. It sucks. So the speaker hat just puts the speakers right here on the brim and shoots the sound down in your eyeballs, which is where people don't tell you, that's where most of the sounds should go, right in your eyeballs. And it sounds fine enough, and I could hear, I could hear Jeff g and Jeff b argue about hockey or whatever. It just fine. And and then I could also hear when my kids are shouting and need help. So I love the speaker rights. It is the next gen of dad hats, all right. From from Borie Square filed trademarks for guess how luckily could we get a new guests and how badly do we need a new guess? My ongoing theory here for all of these sort of use these older characters getting to re trademarket stuff is Fortnite is going to do a classic game season where they just released a whole bunch of content for classic games, characters from from older games from eight bit and sixteen bit and thirty two bit and all this stuff, and all these companies are just trying to get their ducks in a row so they can cash in on that Fortnite Metaverse money. And it's gonna be It's gonna be real depressing to get killed by a guess that's how it was. How I feel about it, Tokoto Protict Kirby at the Forgotten Lands Metacritic score one hundred and one. It's gonna be the first one h Do you want me to do this for real? Mic? Because it's gonna be like eighty probably eighty one. I hope it's great. If it's great, it'll be eighty five. But it's gonna be in that range. I hope it's great. From Octo, Hey, no question, Just thanks love the grub Cinemac Universe. Thanks Ado. It was in the discord mister mcraig dink a few weeks ago, you jokingly said the new Call Duty would not release this year. How does this field once again feel to once again will the news into existence? I jokingly might have said it like about this year, but I seriously said it about in the next couple of years. They're almost certainly going to miss one of these. I'm like, I think it was on the bomb cast. Actually, I'm like, they are going to miss a call duty eventually, and then what, Well, they already got the answer. They've already sold the Microsoft, so it doesn't sort of matter now that they've they're missing a call of duty. But this was inevitable with the way they were going, with the game's getting bigger, trying to maintain this this cadence, and then struggling to find talent because no one wants to come work for Bobby Cottick. It was inevitable that this would happen. So here we are from pro Skater Tony. When will we start? I wonder if that's the real pro skater Tony. When will we start to see the actual post acquisition acquisition games from all the studios Microsoft is bought. Has there been a change how these devs make games? Any cross dev collaboration? You know about the biggest changes for most of these studios is Microsoft is willing to give them extra time and money. We've already seen this repeatedly with Ghost Wire, Tokyo, with Death Loop, with Psychonauts two, with Halo. You know, it's an older studio, but all these new studios getting extra time and extra money and a lot of guidance as well to make their games as good as possible. And those games come out and have been doing pretty well in terms of the reviews and the reception. Obviously there's like varying opinions on all of them, but at the very least like people consider many of them to be Game of the Year candidates. That seems to be the biggest difference. When will we start seeing more of these post acquisition games coming out? I mean, we're gonna see Redfall this year, We're gonna see Starfield this year. That's Bethesda. I think next year we've getting to see more of those Bethesta games. A lot of the games that were a lot of the companies that were required in twenty eighteen, we'll start seeing those in twenty twenty three, and then by twenty twenty four. This should just be game, game, game, game game. It should just be kind of NonStop. From Mighty macheleven, My sister in law is getting married in northern rural New Jersey next month. Northern rural New Jersey next month. One of the dinner options is lobster tail. Do I trust lobster that has cooked in New Jersey? Find out where the chef is from. If they're from like New England, you're fined. You're fine. They they'll, they'll, they'll take care of you. I mean, it's gonna be a little bit toxic. It's gonna be a little bit like nuclear but that's just gonna make it the taste pop out a little bit more. All right, here we go, Ericle, I'm behind on the videos of anyone else else asked, please, did you see the Keex trademark was was new renewed in Europe and Japan? Un ironically interested in a new gex. I'm like, I'm pretty serious that people probably shouldn't get their hopes up to I for new games in a franchise like this. Uh, I do see there. It seems like there's a lot of possibilities to sell gus skins in other video games. Uh. That's probably a lot cheaper, a lot more cost effective than making a new Guess that said, maybe maybe we get a new one. Uh probably probably not, though probably probably not everybody. Uh and then it's just Kevin V says, yes, the lobster in Jersey is good. All right, Well, there you go. My kid's gonna come kill you. But okay, Uh, let's wrap it up. Thank you everybody. I really appreciate it. This is a great time, a great show. I was a mess, but you all were great. I'm gonna try to get this camera fixed. It was it was working. Oh, I probably have to reset OBS and has already started streaming. So I told Jann I was ready to go, and I lied. I wasn't ready. I thought I could get ready once I was live. So it's a lesson learned for the old game mess. Thank you everybody for tuning in. I really appreciate it. I hope that you know the cool news I was able to break this exciting. I hope I was able to answer some of your questions. We will do this again next week. I can't wait. I'm looking forward to it. Until then, however, take care of yourself. Have a good one, and I mean take care of yourself. Take care, take care of yourself this weekend. Do something nice for yourself. If you are in an affected area and Ukraine, please be safe. Do what you can. I'm worried about you. Even though I feel completely helpless, I'm worried about you. I don't know what else I could say. Take care of yourself, have a good one, I'll see you next time. Goodbye,
