Episode 62 - Drukhari pt 3 - Wych cults, Kabals, Mercenaries and The Arenas

The 40k Lorecast

On today's cast we conclude our coverage of the Drukhari. We open with a very deep dive into the Wych cults of the Drukhari, their organization functions and features. After this we jump over to the Covens, to talk about their origins before the fall and the incredible powers they now wield within the Dark Realm. From there we dive into our personal favorite units in the Drukhari line the mercenaries, with deep dives into the Incubi, Scourges, and amazing (while all but useless on the tabletop) Mandrakes. We then close with some coverage of the Arenas of the Drukhari and how they serve more than just the Drukhari in their purpose and affects.

[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome to the Forty K-Lorecast.
[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome to the Forty K-Lorecast with me, John Barsodian, Brad Chester.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, God.
[SPEAKER_03]: On the A's cast, we're wrapping up our coverage of the Drew Carrey with a focus on some of the more of the sub-factions within them.
[SPEAKER_03]: Cool parts.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, some of these are actually way better.
[SPEAKER_03]: Mandrakes.
[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_03]: As always, please like and comment on the cast.
[SPEAKER_03]: The comments and likes will do help boost us up.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're in like the top leisure podcast and Spotify in over six countries.
[SPEAKER_03]: Half and don't speak English.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's kind of badass.
[SPEAKER_03]: Because we're bad at speaking.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's impressive.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, sorry, you guys in advance.
[SPEAKER_03]: It really does.
[SPEAKER_03]: When you guys do these things, it helps us broaden our audience and reach more people.
[SPEAKER_03]: I refuse to spend money like doing fake advertising all this crap with us.
[SPEAKER_03]: So this is how we reach people.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're really against that.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's like we're not doing it.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're kind of like daily against it.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm really against people like I take a lot of pride if you go to our I mean at time of recording we have three thousand reviews were four point nine stars every more of those reviews is real and that's from you all and I just honestly thank you for doing that because it makes me feel better that all of the achievements we have are real not from
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, let's give a quick shout out, because a lot of people have done us a lot of favors on Reddit and Facebook.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm really pushing us out.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I do want to give a hearty thank you.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's, yeah, it's truly loving.
[SPEAKER_03]: I see every now and then I'll see someone, you know, be on Reddit.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'll see someone comment, oh, the forty-kloric ass is great.
[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, I call you out, but it's just your Reddit username.
[SPEAKER_03]: So, but if you're the one who did it, thank you.
[SPEAKER_03]: Same with Facebook, we see you're doing Facebook all time.
[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_03]: It means a lot to us that, you know, you guys like what we're doing.
[SPEAKER_03]: So,
[SPEAKER_03]: Always here.
[SPEAKER_03]: We also promote our discord because it's awesome.
[SPEAKER_03]: This discord was created over a year ago.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to fund place people interact with interact.
[SPEAKER_03]: The goal originally was just to give you guys a place to talk to us and that it exploded beyond that.
[SPEAKER_00]: doesn't seem that long.
[SPEAKER_00]: Time's meaning is for me I'm home.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's only but we're like this is this is episode sixty two.
[SPEAKER_03]: So we're ten episodes past one year.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's been great, but the the discord now is over actually thirty five hundred members at time of recording.
[SPEAKER_03]: Lot of weekly interaction and it's turned into an incredibly positive community where you can
[SPEAKER_03]: Of course, you can still ask us questions and talk to us.
[SPEAKER_03]: Being also talked a lot of other like-minded people and what I consider a very healthy, can't say safe space anymore.
[SPEAKER_03]: But if a very healthy space, everyone there seems to actually have everyone else's best interests at heart.
[SPEAKER_03]: Also, giant, thank you out to Kevin and the other mods.
[SPEAKER_03]: Other mods, I'm learning your name.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll learn them until John don't worry.
[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly, that's how this works.
[SPEAKER_03]: But you guys have really made this thing a great piece.
[SPEAKER_03]: And so for anyone who's listening to this, it's looking for a place to go and spend some time talking about Forty Kay, learning more about Forty Kay, from anything from gameplay to lore to just memes.
[SPEAKER_03]: Come join, totally free.
[SPEAKER_03]: We get nothing out of it other than just joy.
[SPEAKER_03]: So, come on in.
[SPEAKER_03]: Also, in the show notes for the cast, you can see a couple links.
[SPEAKER_03]: One is the discord.
[SPEAKER_03]: Another one is to our new web page, the FortyKlorcast.com, both the new version of a ugly old web page.
[SPEAKER_00]: I told you purple on pink wasn't a good idea.
[SPEAKER_03]: I made it.
[SPEAKER_03]: I made it in the morning while drinking coffee on a Saturday.
[SPEAKER_03]: I probably should have a more effort in.
[SPEAKER_03]: Also linked to our Patreon for those of you who want to support us and help us now get more equipment more this on the last cast here to be called out Brad for causing making the noise of his soda can hitting the table and he's now like overly protective as he lowers it down.
[SPEAKER_00]: with my weird shaky hands.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I don't with this to bang on the table because giant called me out for it because John's a listen to it yet.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like it's also helped us do things like the patrons help us do things like higher and audio engineer by new equipment.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm proof sound dampening all those things to over.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'll make the cast sound better.
[SPEAKER_03]: So to those of you who've helped out so far.
[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_03]: Those you can help us out in the future.
[SPEAKER_03]: Also, thank you.
[SPEAKER_03]: Lastly, of course, though, Brad coaches for DK.
[SPEAKER_03]: Thirty years of playing over a decade of coaching experience.
[SPEAKER_03]: Anyone who's looking to play this game, a kind of a higher level.
[SPEAKER_03]: And a higher level can be, I'd never played it before.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so playing it once would be a higher level.
[SPEAKER_03]: Brad has coaching available for that.
[SPEAKER_03]: He does take a lot of pride in it as much as, you know, sometimes I do this.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I kind of should talk him while we're doing this, but the truth of the matter is I'm actually very proud of what he does to.
[SPEAKER_03]: He takes a lot of pride in it.
[SPEAKER_03]: He enjoys helping people get better at the game because he doesn't really want his goal is to make it so that you don't have to kick yourself for making you stupid mistake and let's you actually that way you can actually enjoy the game with that.
[SPEAKER_03]: You can either go to our website and click a link to find him.
[SPEAKER_03]: You go to our Discord and click click to find him or you can email him at
[SPEAKER_00]: Old man, Brad, Forty-K.
[SPEAKER_00]: Edgy.
[SPEAKER_03]: And for those of you who are writing that down to steal his identity, getting in line.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, don't pop.
[SPEAKER_03]: There's so much, there's so much spam.
[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, back to the due card.
[SPEAKER_03]: And let's just dive right in.
[SPEAKER_03]: So on the last cast, we covered in depth the main faction of the due card, which are the cabals.
[SPEAKER_03]: The cabals are the ruling party of the due card for lack of a better phrase.
[SPEAKER_03]: but there's other key groups within the Juqar.
[SPEAKER_03]: These ones may not like challenge the cabals for a power, but they play a critical role in how much power those people have, and with their backing and their forces, they actually can move, can swing the tides of power in the dark.
[SPEAKER_00]: You have the power, if you have the Colt and the Colt, the Colt and the Colt and the Colt and the Colt and the Colt and the Colt and the Colt and the Colt and the Colt and the Colt and the Colt and the Colt and the Colt and the Colt and the Colt and the Colt and the Colt and the Colt and the Colt and the Colt and the Colt and the Colt and the Colt.
[SPEAKER_03]: you're gonna go pretty for exactly.
[SPEAKER_03]: So let's start with the first ones, which are the witch cults.
[SPEAKER_03]: Or as I call them, the Circti Soleil of Murder.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you're not wrong.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's really all that they are.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's pretty goddamn cool though.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, they're amazing.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're amazing.
[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, I'm gonna set this up first off with what a lot of times they look like.
[SPEAKER_00]: Because this is the one of the most terrifying things in Forty Kay.
[SPEAKER_00]: You're in, where Forty, I don't even know they exact you anymore.
[SPEAKER_00]: We're forty plus thousand years.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the forty ones, yeah, we're the forty ones now.
[SPEAKER_00]: But you're going in with your armor.
[SPEAKER_00]: You've got your huge gun auto targets.
[SPEAKER_00]: You've got a foot of saramide armor around you.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then you've got a girl with a top knot wearing a bikini and high boots doing backflips charging at you with a what looks to be a short dagger.
[SPEAKER_00]: And you go.
[SPEAKER_00]: something is wrong now.
[SPEAKER_03]: And then you get poisoned.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then you get poisoned and stabbed and don't understand what happened.
[SPEAKER_00]: That has to be disheartening to the warriors and the forty-first money.
[SPEAKER_00]: We're just standing there going, did they just not wear armor at all?
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you're like, now they're coming also.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're really fast.
[SPEAKER_03]: Three, orcs don't wear armor either, though.
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's not, let's not.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, they think they are.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is a good point.
[SPEAKER_03]: They don't think the bullets can hit them in the bullets.
[SPEAKER_03]: Just don't hit them like a cartoon.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, fair point.
[SPEAKER_03]: So which calls they're a leaveover from the pleasure calls.
[SPEAKER_03]: So post pleasure call people kind of went a couple different routes within it.
[SPEAKER_03]: the most normal of the pleasure cults were the kubals who just kind of who you know, weaponkin the capital like warriors.
[SPEAKER_03]: These are people who enjoy reflecting pain on others, but they do it, you know, via murder, effectively.
[SPEAKER_00]: One of the biggest things with that is not just that they take pleasure.
[SPEAKER_00]: in the dominance over another because of their skill.
[SPEAKER_00]: So they try to raise their skill levels to just unworldly their magic basically.
[SPEAKER_03]: What the witch cults did was a little bit different.
[SPEAKER_03]: The witch cults, their joy and their power come from the final strike.
[SPEAKER_03]: And what they love to do is actually kind of build a crescendo of movement until they deliver their final blow.
[SPEAKER_03]: And which, called so for example, they call it the artistic kill.
[SPEAKER_03]: What they love to do is like lots of small wounds on to somebody until at the end.
[SPEAKER_03]: They deliver the killing blow.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's because they want to save them.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're suffering.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: But it's not even just they're suffering.
[SPEAKER_00]: They want to instill despair and the fact that you're so much, there's nothing you can do.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's inevitable.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: And that's a, it's a torment.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're victim.
[SPEAKER_03]: And by tormenting their victim, it's at the very end, they get even more release of this energy.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the Brad's point, refighting style, they wear skin tight clothing, right?
[SPEAKER_03]: It's basically, I mean,
[SPEAKER_03]: In the earlier models, there were a couple of them that were a girl in bikini with knee high boots, and then GW realized that's a bit much.
[SPEAKER_03]: And then flip it over to which is basically a skin type clothing.
[SPEAKER_03]: I will say there are male witches.
[SPEAKER_03]: We'll get to them in a little bit.
[SPEAKER_03]: They just don't, they serve a little bit different purpose.
[SPEAKER_03]: And it first sounds kind of cool when you realize now it's actually horrible.
[SPEAKER_03]: But anyway, their whole fighting style is just speed.
[SPEAKER_00]: They, we're going to go speed and precision.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're, even now, they have other worldly precision on the strikes.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the irony is the witches probably could kill their victims in a quarter of the time that takes, but they need to react.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's massively less.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they need to create the agony.
[SPEAKER_03]: Actually, let's actually jump into the mailfighters so quickly because it actually is funny.
[SPEAKER_03]: There are male members of the witch cults.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is just a fun story.
[SPEAKER_03]: I like, and they're there for breeding purposes.
[SPEAKER_00]: Just want to say, yeah, sure they're there.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: But I firmly believe that they're there for breeding, which people are like, ha ha be pretty cool.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is one hundred percent praying mantis style.
[SPEAKER_03]: I guarantee you they'll get murdered and tortured to death.
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of male helians in the models.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's with heliens and beast masters.
[SPEAKER_03]: Those are the two groups that are lead.
[SPEAKER_03]: If you don't want to get murdered, that's a whole point of your options.
[SPEAKER_03]: All you could be, we're going to use you for breeding.
[SPEAKER_03]: Cool what happens after?
[SPEAKER_03]: And a lot about it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: How come I never see anyone leave the concupine chamber at a male ever leave it afterwards?
[SPEAKER_00]: Again, that's not important.
[SPEAKER_00]: You should have went.
[SPEAKER_00]: You'd see him if you went out the trash disposal.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Check the drain.
[SPEAKER_03]: There he is.
[SPEAKER_03]: So to add that the thing about the witches is the main thing for them is to instill fear and despair in their opposition.
[SPEAKER_03]: They do this not so much by having a scary look.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're not wearing like creepy masks or any of those things.
[SPEAKER_03]: They do it by just making it so your death feels inevitable, but not guaranteed.
[SPEAKER_03]: So that you always keep fighting because you believe you could get them.
[SPEAKER_03]: And like, so for example, they wear no armor.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're carrying a usually very, some of them use whips, but I'm carrying a small blade and a pistol.
[SPEAKER_03]: And even those whips by the way are designed just to me.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the pistols aren't even used in like, and they reinforce which we're going to.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the whole thing is is that with the witches, it's to create this.
[SPEAKER_03]: So you look at them and you think to yourself, all I have to do is just hit them once.
[SPEAKER_03]: If I just hit them once, then I'll win and they'll die.
[SPEAKER_03]: And so you always have this piece of hope that they take away from you the very last strike, turn your hope into despair.
[SPEAKER_03]: One other note by the witches I like to point out is that they're not looking for a fair fight.
[SPEAKER_03]: A follower of corn, for example, takes joy in defeating an equal or better opponent.
[SPEAKER_00]: They want the other, you know, for a corn.
[SPEAKER_03]: These are the Eldars the same way.
[SPEAKER_03]: Eldar just, you know, they want to Eldar want the battle just over their whole thing.
[SPEAKER_00]: They don't want to lose anybody.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's their whole thing.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, they say, actually, really.
[SPEAKER_03]: The Eldar or the opposite of this, where the Eldar just don't want to die.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they're going to come in if they see an opponent, snuff them.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's it.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're done.
[SPEAKER_03]: the witch cults are the kind of in between the two of them.
[SPEAKER_03]: They want to extend the battle out for this fear, but they also don't want to die.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they tend to only pick opponents, they can easily be like a regular member of the witch cult would probably never take on a space.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to come back.
[SPEAKER_03]: Could they defeat them?
[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe, but it's not a fight they would want because the space marine would never be a fearful of them.
[SPEAKER_00]: There is.
[SPEAKER_03]: Exceptions of that rule on the top tops.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well yeah, it's suck you about something regularly which you're right.
[SPEAKER_03]: You go to like a really high end, which but again, it's because they always think about which coat is they always punch down.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's the way to think about it.
[SPEAKER_03]: They always fight someone who they know they can defeat because that creates more despair on the opponent.
[SPEAKER_03]: They don't want the opponent who thinks they have the upper hand can excited.
[SPEAKER_03]: They want the opponent to just cause he be lashing towards them to not die.
[SPEAKER_03]: And before any of you get upset, yeah, Lil, Lil has Brex did one single hand at a chaos lord, but it's Lilith and duh.
[SPEAKER_00]: They take, they take, I think that there's something though in the arena, they'll take on challenges.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that when they go on real raids and stuff like that.
[SPEAKER_03]: But even those challenges, it's those are, it's a little bit different of a set up, but even we talk about challenges.
[SPEAKER_03]: There are the rare ones in the arena, and we're like over the arena at the end of the cast, we'll dive more deeply into it.
[SPEAKER_03]: But in that scenario, there are the who is the best title fight, but a lot more that is actually I am, you know, they're going to take on twenty beasts.
[SPEAKER_03]: or thirty like form like colony soldiers type things.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's always designed for the witch to have the upper hand because no one's
[SPEAKER_03]: Actually, just talk about the arenas.
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, let's talk about the arenas, but easier to explain when the arenas is.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the arenas are one of the really key parts in an all-drew car floor.
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, when we talk about unari, the arena are a massive part of there.
[SPEAKER_03]: So awesome.
[SPEAKER_03]: They are.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the arena itself could be, you get to remember, we're talking about
[SPEAKER_00]: fighting in the sky on the ground, everywhere.
[SPEAKER_00]: These are the Coliseum times of fountains.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, let's spend with them that.
[SPEAKER_03]: So each cabal owns a section of the dark city, right?
[SPEAKER_03]: And one of the main things they will build in these dark cities are these giant arenas.
[SPEAKER_03]: And this is because a cabal is, if a cabal wants to gain power, it's not just the killing of the other groups, but you also have to grow the size of your cabal.
[SPEAKER_03]: The more powerful, the more successful you are, the more people will join you.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they also build, as we said in the last cast, they're still elder.
[SPEAKER_03]: They build artistic things.
[SPEAKER_03]: So each,
[SPEAKER_03]: which cult has an arena that they fight in, and each of these aren't as are built primarily by the cobalt.
[SPEAKER_03]: And what's funny is by the cobalt?
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because the witches themselves become, they are patrons.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're funded by patrons and then they are, well, we'll go into the comments.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're juiced up by.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they're juiced up too.
[SPEAKER_02]: Very heavily.
[SPEAKER_00]: But like, it's a big deal on this because that's just what they do.
[SPEAKER_00]: And they're, this isn't always, but to the most part, they're semi outside of all the intrigue unless it forwards their purposes very much so.
[SPEAKER_03]: And so the arena themselves, these are, you know, at their core, they were written by GW to be like the gladitor, real arena's other Romans.
[SPEAKER_03]: But turn it to a million.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, it's got like crazy.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's cartoonish.
[SPEAKER_03]: You've got spinning blades.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're both fixed in place somewhere, but also ones that just jump out of nowhere.
[SPEAKER_03]: They have zero gravity well.
[SPEAKER_03]: So all of a sudden, the combatants can find themselves other, unknowingly end up in one, or they can, or they can just actually fight in zero gravity to put the product in the other way.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, in a arena, they will have ships.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, we'll get there.
[SPEAKER_03]: You know what's a random beast?
[SPEAKER_03]: Just.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's all over the place.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're just random, like, like, warp beasts wandering around it and to Brad's point, the combat's also not just on the ground.
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, they fight in the sky.
[SPEAKER_03]: They've got jet bikes.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're shooting around.
[SPEAKER_03]: We've got Helians who are sitting on freaking flying hoverboards, ripping through the sky.
[SPEAKER_03]: even inside the stands, they'll actually fight inside the stands.
[SPEAKER_03]: So when you attend these events, the air becomes thick with a blood, because it's coming from everywhere, blood, the screams of those dying, they're happening everywhere you look.
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why it's such a big deal.
[SPEAKER_00]: And this is why it's a big deal for the witches to show themselves to be not just I can kill people, cool, everybody can get exactly yet neat.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you have to be your theatrical ability of killing has to be second to not because also there's a billion different things going on.
[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to have anybody put their eyes to you, draw money to your coal, get those people to give you money.
[SPEAKER_03]: And one of the cool things about these arenas though is they also echo inside them all of the screens in the agony and what happens is all of the as we said before that jukari dropped power from pain.
[SPEAKER_03]: those in the audience actually start gaining a power.
[SPEAKER_03]: So these arenas serve a lot of purposes, not the least of which is that if you attend the arena games in your jukari, you actually will just power up sitting there.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's not even just powering up.
[SPEAKER_00]: You don't die.
[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[SPEAKER_00]: You don't also, yes, you're powering up.
[SPEAKER_00]: But the best thing is you're not with the real way.
[SPEAKER_03]: You're always covering away.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that this, this is a national poll.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: These arenas, thousands, millions.
[SPEAKER_03]: We don't know how people sit there, all just sit and absorb from some of the stories.
[SPEAKER_00]: They have to be seeding a million people.
[SPEAKER_00]: Because these are otherworldly, it's just hugely bad.
[SPEAKER_03]: And that this piece of this absorption is one of the main reasons of the Kabbal.
[SPEAKER_03]: Stilled them to is for the archives.
[SPEAKER_03]: Because as we said, everyone, everyone, no matter who you are, have to take in this power from pain.
[SPEAKER_03]: And our con is the most
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I was putting murderable.
[SPEAKER_03]: No one is more in danger in the dark city than actually an arcane.
[SPEAKER_03]: I would actually, are you slaves, the slaves of the Jukari are safer than the Arkans are?
[SPEAKER_00]: No one's actively trying to kill them.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the every second of every day.
[SPEAKER_03]: And everyone is trying to kill everything.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the Arkans need a way to gain the power from pain without exposing themselves.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what the arena is doing.
[SPEAKER_03]: They can sit in the arena and
[SPEAKER_03]: theoretically, you know, just safely absorb all this pain.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, there was a story that will come up later of that not going right.
[SPEAKER_03]: Great.
[SPEAKER_03]: For one, for one of them.
[SPEAKER_03]: One of the key pieces about witches and we handed to it earlier are their combat trucks.
[SPEAKER_03]: Again, one eighth edition back, really one eighth edition back.
[SPEAKER_03]: Did everyone cheat with it?
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: We both know they did.
[SPEAKER_03]: So in eighth edition, with people who don't know, the eighth edition of this game, when you put your ad you car in the board, if you ran witches, you could either pick or roll dice for certain combat drugs.
[SPEAKER_00]: You could roll.
[SPEAKER_03]: You could roll two dice or pick or pick one, which I always picked one.
[SPEAKER_03]: course because everyone picked one because you can get the, the, the, let's go the best one.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the work, work, work, or garbage.
[SPEAKER_03]: But the issue is that people wouldn't write it down and you'd notice all of us on their witches seem to always have the best combat drawing for whatever.
[SPEAKER_03]: So anyway, but he was a really good thing and was incredibly fluffy for the rules because that, that's the way the, that's the way the witch is supposed to work is the witches work with the covens to figure out a way to make themselves even better.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't really stress this one because we're not talking like, hey, I took some adrenaline.
[SPEAKER_00]: This guy cooked up.
[SPEAKER_00]: No, this is other, again, magic exists.
[SPEAKER_00]: These guys are effectively giving you magic powder that you take that makes it seem that bullets are show.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're doing matrix.
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's see even better.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're taking, because we talked about it with Elder.
[SPEAKER_03]: Elder or some of the fastest and most accurate beings in the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_03]: and they're taking these combat drugs, make them even faster and more capable.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the truth is,
[SPEAKER_03]: The rules on a tabletop can never do the lower justice, because in theory, a witch on a combat drug that would make them more accurate could never miss.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what they just would never miss is that you cannot roll a one.
[SPEAKER_03]: Effectively, these combat drugs make them faster, hit harder, actually even take more damage, or just avoid more things altogether.
[SPEAKER_03]: They were incredible.
[SPEAKER_03]: And the idea of the drugs was to actually less in the arena was to make them more entertaining.
[SPEAKER_03]: So you would actually be able to take two, like you think a witch can make her even faster to fight maybe like a big, hulking opponent.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they could, you know, be stabbing them a thousand times and take their time killing it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, effectively not being in danger because there's so much faster than the opponent.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's why, but it would put on an incredible display as the Hulk, you know, is fighting a like, tiny little witch, but she's able to jump all over and put in the literal death by a thousand cuts.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, that's what they were trying to do with them.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the witches are in theory again, not a tabletop.
[SPEAKER_03]: Some of the most like blender level fighters.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's like when it's the eighth edition was, the tenetax was the eighth edition was at night that ninth both.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what's it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're fine.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like he was cool.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like he was.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was.
[SPEAKER_00]: The power is percol.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's one time in the game that it tried to, you know, the eighth was clones.
[SPEAKER_03]: The eighth did the best job of putting the Jew car on the board in my mind.
[SPEAKER_03]: Everything else since then's been, they've struggled a little bit with kind of how to make it work that even at some of the earlier stuff was still like,
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Should we talk about now with our reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds or reds.
[SPEAKER_00]: sometimes.
[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's interesting.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the thing is that in order for the arena's to function, they have to have people to fight and we'll talk later and to how some of them come into the play.
[SPEAKER_03]: But the real space is a key spot of this where they would just, they will take captives from real space rates, oftentimes they animals, awesome.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, be safe those types of monsters.
[SPEAKER_00]: It would be a big thing because we talked about this in the last cast where I had mentioned that the bulls have to plan so well because
[SPEAKER_00]: Sure, this is what your plan is.
[SPEAKER_00]: But for instance, the witch is just one decided they want to show how awesome they are and the five instead of the four backmaps.
[SPEAKER_00]: But also, they need to capture some cool shit to fight in the arena.
[SPEAKER_00]: So their plan might be slightly off your plan.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is the issue with the witches, though, is that the Brad's point.
[SPEAKER_03]: Which is it's not that they end up in kind of like a blood rage per se when they do some of these raids depending on the drone, but they don't not end up in that.
[SPEAKER_03]: So sometimes the raids with the witches don't quite go to plan and that a
[SPEAKER_03]: bunch of witches start, I'll be here.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'll bring out to that quickly.
[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, start attacking.
[SPEAKER_03]: And the ark on doesn't feel like they're following his plan.
[SPEAKER_03]: So he tells him to stop and then the cabal needs a new ark on.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then a giant squad of witches.
[SPEAKER_00]: Distant slaughter.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then it's.
[SPEAKER_00]: And they're also all, I'll jack up a mountain dude.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're not stopping that.
[SPEAKER_03]: So from the witches, we'll jump over the commons.
[SPEAKER_03]: We'll get back to witches in a little bit.
[SPEAKER_03]: We'll bounce back and work a little bit.
[SPEAKER_00]: But the commons, this is the number of the crazy guys we were talking about that hid from Elder Society because they thought that fish oaks and eyeballs were too lame.
[SPEAKER_00]: These are the guys that formed the commons.
[SPEAKER_00]: You took the weirdest guys doing the weirdest shit and went, yeah, let's turn that up to eleven, bro.
[SPEAKER_03]: We'll be right back after a quick break.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the commons are effectively evil scientists who live in the below the surface of the camera.
[SPEAKER_00]: Feel like you're not selling another one.
[SPEAKER_00]: No, let's, there's like the evil scientists where evil is in all caps, bold.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, let's have some fun with them.
[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm going to talk about the government history standpoint.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the pleasure culture forming when they did, they didn't really know what they were doing.
[SPEAKER_03]: They discovered that there's a joy and pleasure from harming others, but it was kind of fleeting and random.
[SPEAKER_03]: But the LDR, because they are very OCD, and once they find a craft to perform, they will perfect it.
[SPEAKER_03]: The impottery?
[SPEAKER_00]: How long it takes?
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you have to be at pottery or murder torture.
[SPEAKER_03]: And the challenge though is that they need a place to do this kind of out of sight.
[SPEAKER_03]: So these Eldar, who later became known as a flesh crafters, not in a good way, moved into the web way.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they built these giant laboratories, like the most underground part of the dark city.
[SPEAKER_03]: Because this is again, this is before they were doing this before the Eldar nobles were into it.
[SPEAKER_03]: So this was really as close to outlawed as you could get.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they were hidden away.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, in these four years.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, thousands of years.
[SPEAKER_03]: And what they did was they began a perfect torture and pain.
[SPEAKER_03]: And it was their findings on torture and pain that magnified the emotional reaction that was that allowed the recipe to be spread.
[SPEAKER_03]: And now that this is what converted so much of the L.D.R.
[SPEAKER_03]: like nobility and culture.
[SPEAKER_00]: They were not so holy responsible for the fall, but they
[SPEAKER_03]: They're close.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're the reason behind it.
[SPEAKER_03]: The Eldar themselves, the reason behind the fall, but without the flash crafters, they never would have, they never walked away from it.
[SPEAKER_00]: They would have never reached this because they wouldn't have got the reward that they got.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and they may have bailed on it, effectively, because it was these monstracies that did it.
[SPEAKER_03]: So after the fall though, the next problem comes into play because now we need sole energy from our victims.
[SPEAKER_03]: And again, your witch cults and cabals, they could create suffering.
[SPEAKER_03]: But they couldn't generate that much.
[SPEAKER_00]: It couldn't create a symphony of suffering.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: These flush crafters began working again to perfect the craft.
[SPEAKER_03]: How do we get the maximum of torment while basically per life?
[SPEAKER_03]: So how do we extend their lives to the victims to get a maximum output of power?
[SPEAKER_03]: And their skills, by the way, are insane.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like my favorite stories is there's a laboratory
[SPEAKER_03]: where there is a human who skin, muscles, nervous system, and skeleton are in four different displays, and the person is completely alive.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they can feel it.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to my favor, because I know that one.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: My favorite's the chair.
[SPEAKER_00]: A rival we have on my Achilles, bends the skid.
[SPEAKER_00]: He's still a sentient chair.
[SPEAKER_00]: but feels all of the pain from the breaking and molding, making him a chair.
[SPEAKER_00]: He's aware of the surroundings and always in incalculable pain.
[SPEAKER_00]: And you're like, you guys have problems.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they're so messed up.
[SPEAKER_03]: If you were to walk, I mean, the other example, someone I read somewhere was, if you were to walk into the workshop of a Monkely, the screams of their victims would actually drop you.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, and suffering that's happening in there would put most of them into their name.
[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, a Drew Carrey who walks in there suddenly powers up.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, you just start leveling up just by entering it.
[SPEAKER_03]: So for this reason, their locations and access are very closely guarded secrets.
[SPEAKER_03]: You'll get to wander into a humongous laboratory.
[SPEAKER_00]: You could, but it's going to go bad for me.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, you were probably led there.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you didn't open the wrong door.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, excuse me, too.
[SPEAKER_00]: You're like, wait a minute, and I don't think I found this place.
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like I might have been allowed to leave here.
[SPEAKER_03]: And this is why much like the witch is the coven's, which is how much you're part of, they tend to be aligned with a cabal.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they trade the cabal a lot of this power, this resources, all these things.
[SPEAKER_03]: And the cabal gives them salt being the torture, obviously.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they do kind of protect them because the issue is that
[SPEAKER_03]: The, the, the, let's just say the covers hated.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, they do bad bad and they do that.
[SPEAKER_03]: Shoo, do, do, do cars as well.
[SPEAKER_00]: A lot, the actually the majority of the bad things they do are too often.
[SPEAKER_00]: So they've got, there's some people with some vendettos.
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, also don't go a heavy night of drinking because you're gonna end up in a bad place.
[SPEAKER_03]: So let's talk about like what a Coven brings the table because like it's an area that like, in everyone plays, so I played your car, I realized we all played your car differently.
[SPEAKER_03]: I actually primarily played Cobalt, director of car.
[SPEAKER_03]: I play, I have some witches I've only got, I only own like, sixty witches, which I know only like much, but I play mostly witches, but yeah, I play a lot of, I don't play, I don't play a lot of Coven's have, I don't, I have seen I have some talos, but that's about it.
[SPEAKER_00]: The biggest thing with the Covins, what they provide, they provide augmentation to your regular worries.
[SPEAKER_00]: But the biggest thing is, is they provide weaponry.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: They are masters of the living flesh.
[SPEAKER_03]: And so they had to preserve it.
[SPEAKER_03]: They don't have to destroy it.
[SPEAKER_03]: As we talked last time, the Brad's great joy.
[SPEAKER_03]: Poison license.
[SPEAKER_03]: All the poison weapons come from the Covins.
[SPEAKER_03]: But also blades, clothing.
[SPEAKER_03]: All of this is made within the Covins.
[SPEAKER_03]: in order to give things, like if you look at witches, like some of witches, and especially like Kabal armor, will have random blades on it and random places.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, also from the cobbins to help them create even more pain.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the thing is, especially the witches' outfits, which are effectively skin-tight synth suits, basically, that even though they look like you're wearing a armor, they give you, they put drugs into your system, they weigh all the combat drugs are made by, or made by the cobbins.
[SPEAKER_00]: hundred percent on that and they have interacted they're almost wearing like a black herpes as their armor yeah I mean it's just a skin sight suit that is of course I wouldn't this is cast the black herpes does nothing exactly I'm saying that they're coding with it there it does everything kind of thing they they go nuts on this stuff mean that won't go into
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's talk about the actual is troops.
[SPEAKER_03]: And so this is where the on the table top is on guy pie most noticeable.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they don't just destroy life, they can kind of create it sort of and by create it and then just evil versions of all of these people are supposed to be the guys are like.
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, can I learn your craft?
[SPEAKER_00]: They go no problem.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then all of a sudden, you have stuff attached to it.
[SPEAKER_03]: The first group that they make are racks.
[SPEAKER_03]: Rack is they're the basics, but it's a server.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a bipedal being usually was actually a Jew car originally where the helmet gets, their head gets a special helmet on and that links them to the Himalayan.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they completely serve into the Himalayan.
[SPEAKER_03]: And then sometimes they might cut their arms off and put blades on or whips on those types of things.
[SPEAKER_03]: To halt the purpose of the rack is really twofold.
[SPEAKER_03]: Primarily, it's like servicer.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're just, they're there to do the bidding of the monkey like because the monkey like don't do manual labor.
[SPEAKER_03]: They, you know, in fact, the monkey like she, however, I should mention that that they actually hover around.
[SPEAKER_03]: They don't want to be bothered with walking because it's too much work.
[SPEAKER_03]: So, and that has to be picked up, moved, anything that's done by Iraq.
[SPEAKER_03]: And, racks can be a whole, racks have a long history of potential sources.
[SPEAKER_03]: They can just be random thing that's turned into Iraq.
[SPEAKER_03]: They can also be the bread's one of the chair.
[SPEAKER_03]: Someone that the Immaculate personally dislike, and they'll turn you into Iraq, then have you just perform a painful horrifying task, like walk across fire.
[SPEAKER_03]: until you melt.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Because that's being a cool thing about it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they're very similar to AdMec and that regard.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, just very, very similar.
[SPEAKER_03]: The only thing that's interesting about Rax is that they can serve in combat and all the humongular units have one thing in common.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're not particularly fast for actually for elders.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, they're slow, but for other people, they're still pretty quick.
[SPEAKER_03]: What makes them different is that all of the augmentations, because it's both about combat drugs, it's less than having.
[SPEAKER_00]: They have actual effectively
[SPEAKER_00]: Mad scientist, vile packs on all of them.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, are they T for now?
[SPEAKER_03]: They were T for us.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're T for us.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're the same toughest as a space marine, but they also have what's called a field note pain.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they actually ignore damage.
[SPEAKER_03]: In this case, it makes sense that they have it because they have all these drugs in there.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not even sure if they still have a functioning like, you know, limbic system.
[SPEAKER_03]: So you shoot them and they made just not
[SPEAKER_03]: feel it.
[SPEAKER_03]: If their main role, though, from a combat standpoint, is usually at the end of a raid, they're used to grow victims and load them into things, because it's a rack, they're kind of nasty, and they're very strong, and they're unpleasant.
[SPEAKER_00]: However, they're not as unpleasant as grotesque.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, grotesque to a lot more fun.
[SPEAKER_03]: So, grotesques are a faster version of Frankenstein's monster.
[SPEAKER_00]: Fast, slightly.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a weird.
[SPEAKER_03]: Also, note, not Frankenstein.
[SPEAKER_03]: Frank's a doctor.
[SPEAKER_03]: And actually, if you read the book, the doctor is the monster.
[SPEAKER_03]: Frank says monster is actually not a bad thing.
[SPEAKER_03]: So good book anyway, those of you who've read it probably just cheered as I said that those of you who haven't or like Yeah, I've heard you will make this complaint before shut up.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want to hear it again.
[SPEAKER_03]: So fair enough.
[SPEAKER_03]: Uh-huh.
[SPEAKER_03]: Growth tasks are oh So first they're basically lobotomized the way servitors are so they just obey a command.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but the next step is pretty crazy because they filled them full of growth they based they're growing it up
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but it's worried up the same way space marines are where it's not just like I'm stronger.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm actually building new muscles.
[SPEAKER_00]: They look like a bombination from from
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's, blah, blah, blah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Are you going to, don't imply IP violations.
[SPEAKER_03]: They would never do such a thing.
[SPEAKER_03]: All of these are brand new ideas.
[SPEAKER_00]: They are one hundred percent Obama.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's, it's just that unfortunately, you know, like, it was like, I wrote Dune.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Time machine.
[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, that's it.
[SPEAKER_03]: So he actually came to the future and saw these things and then went back to write Dune.
[SPEAKER_03]: So there's, but they might rax is that their skeletons are also augmented, didn't like massively increase their size.
[SPEAKER_03]: And then their limbs are replaced with like claws, guns.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there's, it would be say massively, I mean, these are four to five times as big.
[SPEAKER_00]: as an owner, not just straight tall, but like in mass.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, they are, they are literally larger than a custodian.
[SPEAKER_03]: First of the day, on the table top, they're also larger than a custodian.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's not saying much as we discussed during custodian.
[SPEAKER_03]: For some reason, they're the exact same size and space marines.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're used a little bit now.
[SPEAKER_03]: Grotesque's purpose is kind of a bit, it's like the inverse of the rack.
[SPEAKER_03]: The racks main purpose is actually to work in the laboratory and do the bidding of the monkey line.
[SPEAKER_03]: Grotesque, do Grotesque can do that, but they're primarily used to go to work.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're going to kill shit.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but they're even nested in the racks.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's not only are they incredibly tough in immune to pain, they actually seal and combat.
[SPEAKER_03]: They used to regenerate.
[SPEAKER_03]: Let me do any more, do I?
[SPEAKER_00]: No, they just have to show the pain.
[SPEAKER_00]: So they can just go back to their
[SPEAKER_00]: And they have wild regeneration.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if you just don't strike kill these guys.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: In this is lower.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's been different of the games.
[SPEAKER_03]: Games moved around a little bit.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: But like in the lore, you could, if you cut one of these guys in half and he's not holy dead, you better not leave alone because he'll be okay soon.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: There was reform back like T-one thousand stars.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: And just, and then come back up.
[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, these things are, I actually don't want the model, but I love the lore on them.
[SPEAKER_03]: They didn't even know the real model.
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, one uses the real model.
[SPEAKER_00]: I was just saying this story.
[SPEAKER_00]: I actually it was an internment and I grabbed a guy's model and I go, what is this?
[SPEAKER_00]: And converted guy goes, that's the actual grotesque model.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I went, oh, I've never actually seen the actual grotesque model.
[SPEAKER_03]: The actual grotesque models, it's not easy to paint.
[SPEAKER_03]: We perfectly honest, and the look is okay, and there's some, it's like these, some neuro, there's some amazing.
[SPEAKER_03]: I can burst and exist out there.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Bye.
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's talk about the last and my actual favorite of all the things that the monkey might make.
[SPEAKER_00]: Because of the vengeance, their pain engines put the sister's pain engines the shame.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it will cause, but they're different.
[SPEAKER_03]: The sister's pain engines meant to be a punishment.
[SPEAKER_03]: This thing creates pain.
[SPEAKER_03]: All right, so let's have some fun with these things.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was originally made to Brad's point.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was the ultimate torture device, but it wasn't meant whereas the sister's pain engines to help you repent.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, Monkele I was not about that.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm bored and I don't like this person.
[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, I'm going to the drawing board to make the figure out how bad I can make things suck for you.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, and so the stories and these guys are funny though.
[SPEAKER_03]: So what they would do originally is the Himalaya would take a being and they would hack their arms off their arms and legs off and then place them in this like vessel, almost like an iron long type setup.
[SPEAKER_03]: And this thing would just keep them alive while making them feel all the pain of having a limbs dropped off.
[SPEAKER_03]: And it was great.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was just generate.
[SPEAKER_03]: These things would just, they were like little battery packs for power campaign.
[SPEAKER_03]: They would just generate.
[SPEAKER_03]: You could just stand next to them and they'd go.
[SPEAKER_03]: The problem is that how Monk you liar effectively immortal.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they over time would build up enough enemies that they would have so many of these sitting around.
[SPEAKER_03]: It actually started taking up too much space in the laboratory.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's a real story.
[SPEAKER_03]: They actually, they got them, but really, they, there are too many of these things sitting around the lab.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so they were inefficient enough.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I got to do something with it.
[SPEAKER_03]: So then they decided to just, I don't know, turn them into weapons of war.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they shoved an anti-grab harness on them, because they had no legs.
[SPEAKER_03]: They could fly around.
[SPEAKER_03]: And then they put a weird helmet on them, the same way that the racks and their grotesque use.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they could just order them.
[SPEAKER_03]: And then they put the worst parts, which are their arms, which are the ciphons.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is so crazy.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: literally want to take all the bio.
[SPEAKER_00]: They tear it up here.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's in the territory.
[SPEAKER_03]: These siphons they use and they basically float over to a dead body and then suck all the juice and being out of them.
[SPEAKER_03]: to bring back to the the oven for testing.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, this is the crazy part is that they're not just the unlike the titanids who only are just taking your bodies and everything else with them.
[SPEAKER_00]: These guys will take your soul with them.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, so, but the talus, the reason I love talus, first off, I think the model is insanely cool looking.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a great model.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're fun to paint.
[SPEAKER_03]: They look amazing.
[SPEAKER_03]: Some of the better models I have, actually have my collection.
[SPEAKER_03]: But in the bottom, that'll, the talus will actually lead the charge because on, you know, their two hands will have anything from
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, a chain that's like, I don't even have real chain vests.
[SPEAKER_03]: If fist with chains on it, blades, liquefire guns, they have tails that shoot everything from poison to the darklands and check their guns and everything else.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're insane.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they'll just, and they'll blend or the opponent.
[SPEAKER_03]: But then when the battle's over, they hover back over the battlefield, just sucking up all the dead bodies to bring back.
[SPEAKER_03]: You need a lot of raw materials.
[SPEAKER_03]: Are you going to be out?
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, my God.
[SPEAKER_03]: However, of all of things that Hamankeel I do, my favorite one is the immortality that they're able to do.
[SPEAKER_03]: And this is super cool.
[SPEAKER_03]: So we talked before about the power from pain.
[SPEAKER_03]: We thought as I talked before, we said it like nonstop, but it is like the core thing of your car.
[SPEAKER_03]: So when I drew cars around, around pain and suffering, they get faster, stronger and more.
[SPEAKER_03]: How long have they discovered that's actually just scratching the surface?
[SPEAKER_03]: So, each laboratory, if you walk into a homocular laboratory, which I strongly recommend, you don't do unless you're an argon.
[SPEAKER_03]: And even then, even then, make sure you have, you have, and you paid to come in later.
[SPEAKER_03]: Make sure you have body guards with you.
[SPEAKER_03]: There's a central, like, workstation, like, a big, just big cable they're working on, but above it is a bunch of tubes that just hang a comical, evil science.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, this is, this is a cool, cool stuff.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I'll actually be honest, um, in road trader.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is, this is in road trader.
[SPEAKER_03]: You don't, they don't explain a little bit of something, but there is, you, there was a molecular laboratory, you can see.
[SPEAKER_03]: So inside of all these tubes that hang over the workstation are an important dead drew car who died in battle in one way or another.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now dead, we're going to go with mostly dead.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you did lots of Princess Brown because you know, they have, they do have a true love from murder.
[SPEAKER_03]: Or is it too blaze?
[SPEAKER_03]: I thought of which I'm your wife.
[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry, literally watched it last night, and it's so good.
[SPEAKER_03]: Every time I watch Princess Bride, I'm just a happier person.
[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the molecular I have discovered, site note there, that with enough pain and suffering and energy, jukari can be brought back to life.
[SPEAKER_03]: Cool thing on this, it's not just brought back to life, it's actually reformed.
[SPEAKER_03]: They can actually regenerate back to their original.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they fit on them.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because someone watched fit that on it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Look at this, they're going to go all movies here.
[SPEAKER_03]: I haven't done a, I haven't, I don't know where we're going to drop in a money python, but I guarantee you it's coming.
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, well, let's talk about this because if you have a homoculated in your service,
[SPEAKER_00]: You're immortal.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you legitimately buy a contract with them that they can reform.
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, some of these immaculate I've done that without the Arkans express written permission.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, my guess is once the Arkans dead, it's probably over.
[SPEAKER_03]: But it's more that piece of it, if I'm an Arkan and like my lead succubus dies in battle against another.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, bring it back.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'll bring her back.
[SPEAKER_03]: or if I do have a good general.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, you know, do you call your pretty mean about losing, but the idea is that you can bring back key members and here we go.
[SPEAKER_03]: So this is like, this is such a powerhouse and leads us into kind of, I think, is one of the most important parts of understanding, do curry is the last thing that Cubans do, which is manage the cloning operations.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, without them, we would probably just, your curry would not have enough people to do, to do those wars.
[SPEAKER_03]: And this is interesting one.
[SPEAKER_03]: And again, I'm open about getting things wrong, but I am not aware of it ever being mentioned that the LDAR, how the LDAR are, if they're, if they're, if they're, you know what I'm saying?
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not sure if the LDAR is still reproducing.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, excellent ones are.
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so that's about it, but the craft rules.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they have children.
[SPEAKER_03]: So I guess it's possible.
[SPEAKER_03]: So with Drew Carrey, they actually have a full blown operation, which is why the Jew Carrey are potentially, people that make comments are maybe more Jew Carrey than there are imperial citizens, which I disagree with.
[SPEAKER_03]: There are more than there are cow that's not saying much.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a lot of towels.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think I have to put the dig in.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but it's not me.
[SPEAKER_03]: You should talk in the towel.
[SPEAKER_03]: Just true.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like that's what you're not in.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, cover the towel cast.
[SPEAKER_03]: There's not a lot of towels.
[SPEAKER_03]: There are more Jew-carry than the RTL.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, this is probably more orcs than Jew-carry, but maybe.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that's what I'm saying.
[SPEAKER_03]: There's that many of them.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the Jew-carry, just quick side note here, do two things.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're either, they do have a traditional method like normal birth, although they're not mammals.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think we'll show this works.
[SPEAKER_03]: ones who are born in regular wear, called Drew Carrey Trueborns, they ever see and it's a big deal because they are considered an uppercase.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, they consider themselves that.
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's let they get better equipment.
[SPEAKER_00]: How about that?
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: That well, not until this edition.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, they did it before true born and we're allowed to get more special weapons when in which it is all of them not eighth like not seventh That's I'm telling it's only it's true born bow true born bounce in and out of it in and out of a sandwich tapating on yeah, yeah, they don't think by point they don't the true born weren't in a lot of the game
[SPEAKER_00]: They weren't, they didn't exist.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: When they're in the game, they're better.
[SPEAKER_03]: But when they're, I think it was ninth edition.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's where you, that's where you had to get out of there.
[SPEAKER_03]: There's stupid boats of dark lances.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're all in right.
[SPEAKER_03]: Go.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, the dark lances.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know any of those.
[SPEAKER_03]: but the vast majority of jukari are that grown underneath the other city by the humongolai.
[SPEAKER_03]: And this is why again, the jukari are technically a thriving race.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're not a dying race.
[SPEAKER_00]: We're so funny because they're technically thriving, but they're also technically withering.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're having their souls eaten, but if you think the idea is that the craft-rolled LDAR are every minute of every day, they are reducing in total number because they don't have a way to quickly run.
[SPEAKER_03]: because I guess the same way that the craft world didn't share the spirit stones with the Drukari, the Drukari didn't share back the whole cloning operation thing, which would be pretty helpful for the elder.
[SPEAKER_03]: Basically, as long as there are enough souls that they can capture in torture, the Drukari expand infinitely.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you can cause enough suffering.
[SPEAKER_03]: And then you can feed, you can feed enough all the souls, the jukari in the, you know, because the web way itself is infinite too.
[SPEAKER_03]: So there's no limitation of how many of them they can.
[SPEAKER_00]: The real question and this is a thing that they don't really answer in the lore is how fast is the withering in real space.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're right.
[SPEAKER_03]: They never, you're right.
[SPEAKER_03]: We never have no artist.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's obviously pretty quick because they, they do not stand.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they do not spend it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Because it's in my, it's here.
[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to, you know, in one of the spins.
[SPEAKER_00]: Here's the Bradlar.
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's so fast is, which is, I can't imagine that they wouldn't conquer and cause suffering in the real space if they could.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'll rewrite you because there's no reason why they wouldn't build a torture factory in real space.
[SPEAKER_03]: But the fact they don't is because it means that they couldn't get enough energy out of the torture factory.
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
[SPEAKER_00]: They would be, they have a hard time just remaining status quo.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Also, I do think that Slenex knows where they are to the other piece, too, is that even if she's not still.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you show out the radar.
[SPEAKER_03]: The same.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, you just like get them.
[SPEAKER_03]: And now there's, oh, good.
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, we're undoing.
[SPEAKER_00]: Which is also my second question on that.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to throw this out to everybody listening as far as you.
[SPEAKER_00]: Forty K. Lord, officiananos could Slenex be due to her connection.
[SPEAKER_00]: Not only know where they are, but show up because you have to meet, you know, some of them.
[SPEAKER_03]: What do you mean?
[SPEAKER_00]: The Dark Elder in the game always even fantasy and this have a stronger connection with their cults of slenish and stuff like that.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: Would she be able to be pulled into not her the God specifically?
[SPEAKER_00]: No, the demons.
[SPEAKER_00]: The just demons.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's just something to be the thorn of.
[SPEAKER_03]: I will say that there is a question I do have of if the Covins are in charge of growing all of that jukari.
[SPEAKER_03]: How many of them just don't make it to the official count?
[SPEAKER_03]: because now they're wrecks and grotesques and body parts for, well, the cone experiment are wildly extremely powerful.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I do think that they are the real power behind a lot of this, that the Kabbal smash is down frequently.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: I was sure the cabals are routinely having to call the hoard around the ovens because they would get, I mean, a homonculi with a very large force of grotesks and pain engines would be a big problem.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: You need to set them up quite frequently and they have in some of the stories, but they just put their arms away and or just smoke less.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now.
[SPEAKER_03]: That was fun.
[SPEAKER_03]: But we're going to talk about the thing Brad and I actually liked the most.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: So inside of camera, there are, we've got the cabals, the witches in the comments.
[SPEAKER_03]: Those are your main factions.
[SPEAKER_03]: But there's a whole nother section of, you know, jukari.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not doing beast men, by the way.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're just about, okay.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're like, they're considered cults.
[SPEAKER_03]: We either part of the witch cults, the disguise of a beast men.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, you know what, let's have some fun.
[SPEAKER_03]: Before we get into this, are you Spansters?
[SPEAKER_03]: No, raise them in flocks.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, Jesus.
[SPEAKER_03]: I just want people to know how big of a problem they were.
[SPEAKER_03]: Jukari are hold in my mind the greatest broken army ever because and Brad's got a good story on this in the beginning of eighth edition.
[SPEAKER_03]: So there's something called beast men that exist within Jukari.
[SPEAKER_03]: And the beast men are in charge of what it is, you know,
[SPEAKER_03]: random animals for lack of a better phrase.
[SPEAKER_03]: Monsters, Monsters, Monsters, and one of them were Ravens.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but mutated crazy.
[SPEAKER_03]: Mutated crazy events.
[SPEAKER_03]: Each model, this is fun.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is because it's not going to hurt both going to enjoy this.
[SPEAKER_03]: Let me set up because let me set this up and you tell a story.
[SPEAKER_03]: So these are one of them is called a razor wing flock and it was a pack of birds that had four wounds.
[SPEAKER_03]: There were T three and they could have an involved.
[SPEAKER_03]: And in the early part of eight edition, there was no limit on how many of a unit you could take.
[SPEAKER_00]: So you just took all of them.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I believe with the Razer Wing flocks, you could have over a hundred.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, it's more than that.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a hundred and a hundred and a hundred and fifty of these four-wound model, four-wound models.
[SPEAKER_03]: And did almost no damage.
[SPEAKER_03]: They didn't know damage, but you literally could not kill them.
[SPEAKER_03]: And people would run them as an army and just put them on the table and say, OK, OK, you go.
[SPEAKER_03]: And that was the entire game.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's so crazy.
[SPEAKER_00]: We had a game.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is when they first came out.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was at the world championships for teams.
[SPEAKER_00]: And we had America versus France and our guy had brought razor wing flocks and the other guy had brought
[SPEAKER_00]: demons, the smallest demons, brims, which also cost at almost no points.
[SPEAKER_00]: And across from each other was effectively eight hundred wounds of just these two things.
[SPEAKER_00]: And it was so pointless for them to fight each other that they had run their armies to within and inch of each other.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then just didn't fight because it would take too much time to roll dice that were meeting less.
[SPEAKER_00]: So they did the other stuff.
[SPEAKER_03]: That was in the army.
[SPEAKER_03]: They moved, they moved, they moved the models around in the game ended.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was dumb.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they, uh, yet not too many months later, they made a rule change.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the one.
[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't exactly the best thing I've got.
[SPEAKER_03]: I only have like fifteen basic influx I think.
[SPEAKER_03]: But let's go into the cool piece.
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's start with with the ones who are probably the most badass and actually I would argue this is the least cool of the three.
[SPEAKER_03]: So let's start with the incubi.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be right back after a quick break.
[SPEAKER_00]: Incubly are the mercenary fighters, they, well, let's, let's just be honest who they are.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is the corrupted striking scorpion shrine.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so let's, yeah, when we covered the old, we talked about aspect shrines and how.
[SPEAKER_03]: Elder are follow a path.
[SPEAKER_03]: And the path helps them not fall to the old days of the fall.
[SPEAKER_03]: And each of these paths had a patriarch matriarch who invented it and led the followers.
[SPEAKER_03]: And each of them, you know, where, you know, this is James Zarr.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is Ostermon.
[SPEAKER_03]: These are all these groups.
[SPEAKER_03]: One of them, though, fell the temptations of Slanesh and had to be killed.
[SPEAKER_03]: Sort of.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, left.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, well, date, that's a thing.
[SPEAKER_03]: The question really thought he was dead.
[SPEAKER_03]: Our hurrah, AR, HR, I can't pronounce that.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry.
[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry.
[SPEAKER_03]: Our, our, it's a cool story.
[SPEAKER_00]: It becomes Jazar, which isn't actually a name.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a,
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a title.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a title.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a title.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so our founded, so the original striking of scorpions would just hide in shadows and leap out and kill things.
[SPEAKER_03]: They were, they were night lords.
[SPEAKER_03]: They were just, they were dark murderers, whatever you want to call them.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm not going to spend all the time on the mystery of what happened to him.
[SPEAKER_03]: He becomes the bread's point.
[SPEAKER_03]: Drizzar.
[SPEAKER_00]: And in Drizzar shows up at this aspect shrine and just does it says zero words.
[SPEAKER_00]: and just start smoking everybody.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: And takes control of the shrine and the incubi are they they're supposed to be almost samurai.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but the incubi are unique because they're the only aspect warriors of the jukari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they are.
[SPEAKER_03]: And it's strict mainly.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, all melee and they are the greatest melee force probably in the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_03]: And the one of the things these aren't the guys that turn against you.
[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you, buddy.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we'll get to them in a second.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the incubi, I just want to first talk about what takes the meaning, incubi, is kind of cool.
[SPEAKER_03]: So I love the incubi story because the way you become an incubi is they control giant sections of the city.
[SPEAKER_03]: And so the incubi are everyone wants to be an incubi, but everybody wants to say it better.
[SPEAKER_03]: People who want to be an incubi have to enter the section of the city.
[SPEAKER_03]: And in order to do that, it's a rip off of the running man, which again, if you haven't seen, go see it.
[SPEAKER_03]: It has Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jim Brown, and Jesse the body Ventura, and it's actually a very good film.
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'm so happy that you threw that in, because in the notes, he did not save the body.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I was going to say, it's implied.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't have to type out that much.
[SPEAKER_03]: It is, you can't type Jesse Ventura, not say the body.
[SPEAKER_03]: Which by the way, wasn't even that good of a body.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like if we're being honest, like a lot of the eighties wrestlers, I'm like, he actually wasn't that jacked, guys.
[SPEAKER_03]: He was, he was, he was fit, you know, but it wasn't that impressive.
[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, all of these initiatives are playing the running men, where all they need to kill an incubie, if they can kill an incubie, then they can be invited to become, then they can become an incubie.
[SPEAKER_03]: But the incubie, I have a similar goal of killing all the initiates.
[SPEAKER_03]: And the incubie, I have a luxury of being an incubie.
[SPEAKER_00]: also being an incubi armor.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: So it happened just when an issue then kills an incubi intake.
[SPEAKER_03]: They then take their armor and then they're initiated.
[SPEAKER_03]: What's interesting about this is that when you read that, I go, wait a minute, how many incubi are there?
[SPEAKER_03]: Because is it a fixed amount?
[SPEAKER_03]: Or do they actually then go back to the opposite and clone them?
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm saying.
[SPEAKER_00]: They feel a lot of incubation in the stories and everything.
[SPEAKER_00]: In almost every Arkham worth his soul has an incubi retinue all the time.
[SPEAKER_00]: Always.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: So like I
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, is there a thousand?
[SPEAKER_00]: Is there a billion?
[SPEAKER_03]: I do have no idea.
[SPEAKER_03]: Is there a limited number?
[SPEAKER_03]: So I actually have no idea, but I like the story of that once you've done, once you've killed and you buy, which might be by the way, bare-handed, but you probably just have a sword or something because it's still a dark city.
[SPEAKER_00]: Is there like fifty initiatives that try to take on the one guy and they finally get him?
[SPEAKER_00]: And then they pipe the kill each other.
[SPEAKER_03]: Right, for sure.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, you're not doing this.
[SPEAKER_03]: What's great, though, is that once they be common in Dubai, it actually gets even crazier.
[SPEAKER_03]: Because then they just, it's just nonstop combat and practice combat and practice.
[SPEAKER_03]: Until they get to the last piece.
[SPEAKER_03]: which is they have to go kill an aspect warrior and take their soul stone, which is just messed up by the way.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they basically have to leave, go back into real space, find an aspect warrior, kill it, take its soul stone, and then they put this soul stone into their helmet.
[SPEAKER_03]: which is a torture device for the soulstone.
[SPEAKER_03]: So every incubates wearing a helmet that in the helmet has an elder soul in it that is being tortured by the helmet.
[SPEAKER_00]: Which is why their helmet is called a tormentor helmet.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is oh, there's so messed up.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're also just dicks.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you're horrifying things.
[SPEAKER_03]: But that being said, I mean, they can, I begin to lower is a limit difficult, but in Cuba, like, which culture afraid of the in Cuba?
[SPEAKER_03]: like everyone's afraid of these.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they also just don't have a real, they're not really doing this for the money, they're not, what are you guys just doing?
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they're just, well, they are, they're hired off as mercenaries, but not really clear what they get paid with.
[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[SPEAKER_03]: But they are loyal.
[SPEAKER_03]: The thing is once it's hired.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the right thing.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're the one thing that doesn't turn you.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's why they always hire in Dubai, retinues because they are the best ones.
[SPEAKER_03]: Because the problem with Comer is basically no one in Comer is loyal.
[SPEAKER_03]: If you think about it, if you want to hire a bodyguard, it's like great.
[SPEAKER_03]: What are the odds that this bodyguard is actually going to protect me and not murder me?
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, pretty low, but the incubi have built a reputation of being the actual bodyguards.
[SPEAKER_03]: And does Brad said earlier, all of the archives surround themselves with incubi because this way they can walk anywhere outside of harm.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, didn't work great for all of them, but I think abandoning you by can just instant kill and that they see.
[SPEAKER_03]: If you want, you know, the witch cult attack, they're all that.
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, or if you're in real space, space marines, they will blend your space marines.
[SPEAKER_03]: And again, on the tabletop, still the ninth they were better.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're still good.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but it was ninth when Drizzar gave like full rerolls.
[SPEAKER_03]: All of them and it was just like, oh, so just don't go near those.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're auto dead.
[SPEAKER_00]: And they should be because otherwise they're super crazy in the lore because they're just these almost nightmares.
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll get into the real nightmares.
[SPEAKER_00]: But they're so skilled and you can't buy them off.
[SPEAKER_00]: You don't know what
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I knew he did what they want.
[SPEAKER_03]: They just want to make sure they even speak.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's the thing.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's the thing is you're like, just aren't.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not what he's also.
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a reason he doesn't.
[SPEAKER_00]: But this is just a, all he do is train train kill and get new subjects.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, repeat.
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's just scary.
[SPEAKER_03]: But they also, they're not just for defense, they're also for offense.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the same reason they'll also be hired to go kill problematic enemies.
[SPEAKER_03]: If you've got a real lake, again, space marine, if you're doing a raid and there's going to be space marine's there, you're probably going to bring in goodbye because Yankee-buy will slaughter them.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry wolves.
[SPEAKER_03]: They will they will they'll rip through anything and this is why I First of all, I love them and on the table top as we were just saying they actually are one of the few ones that will do this on occasion.
[SPEAKER_00]: The rule was yeah, they've been a nightmare.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's not actually interesting.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, as much as I pine for eight, they weren't that good.
[SPEAKER_03]: Nates.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're still good.
[SPEAKER_03]: Not like a night phone.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, they weren't neither.
[SPEAKER_03]: They just can't come out of a rate or go like thirty inches.
[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[SPEAKER_00]: They just get out and they just kill everything they touch.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, which is what they're supposed to do.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's accurate.
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't be, yes.
[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody's super excited to see incubation up.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's really great.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, from the incubie, we'll move into what I would call, you know, the incubator number three, number two, most awesome are scourges.
[SPEAKER_03]: For cover, it's one aesthetically, super cool.
[SPEAKER_00]: The wings are awesome.
[SPEAKER_03]: The model looks great.
[SPEAKER_03]: Everything about the the angulation on them.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're beautiful models.
[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, they bounce in and out of value on the tabletop.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're kind of good again now.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're really good right now because they can shoot and skewed.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they can move on.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they carry heavy weapons to it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's what they're known for.
[SPEAKER_03]: They carry all shredders.
[SPEAKER_00]: I really like this, you didn't just because all they are is mobile firepower that hires out, or literally going, sorry, it goes to the highest better.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, these are the heavy duty mercenaries.
[SPEAKER_03]: They are have an interesting history in them.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're actually made by the flash crafters.
[SPEAKER_03]: But they're not made by the flash crafters like they're captured.
[SPEAKER_03]: They actually choose to be.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, this is an augmentation.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's a pretty aggressive one because they have wings.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, like, these are Eldar with wings carrying heavy weapons.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they have their own little mini society within Comerah.
[SPEAKER_03]: They live in like the spires above the city.
[SPEAKER_03]: If you're wandering through like Comerah, again, highly recommend, don't visit there.
[SPEAKER_03]: But you'll just get these like shadows that fly over top.
[SPEAKER_03]: Those are oftentimes
[SPEAKER_03]: Scourges.
[SPEAKER_03]: So, as we've said before, all of the dark city is built on backstabbing and murder.
[SPEAKER_03]: And this makes, it's, it's, entering problems creates this communication.
[SPEAKER_03]: How do you send a communicate as an archon to your, to your generals?
[SPEAKER_03]: Because if it gets intercepted, now your enemies can use it against you.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they actually use messenger pigeons effectively, but they're scourges.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they just,
[SPEAKER_03]: bring, they bring letters to each other, telling them what to do, which has two pieces of value for the scourges.
[SPEAKER_03]: One makes them incredibly valuable to the Archons, but also makes no one want to mess with them.
[SPEAKER_03]: Because the concern of them is, since they're seeing carrying messages, if you were to kill the scourge, then the scourges might never want to work with you.
[SPEAKER_03]: Which means now you can't take it.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's double.
[SPEAKER_00]: You got, you can't communicate and or
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, you killed one of Vex messengers and then Vex just decides that your entire existence family and everything you've ever talked to doesn't exist.
[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the scourge is also get this really nice piece where they're almost unantouchable within within camera.
[SPEAKER_03]: The next thing about them, though, is that they're also incredible warriors because they carry mostly heavy weapons and they can fly.
[SPEAKER_03]: In the very first episode, for example, we talked about the Salamanders attacking the dark city.
[SPEAKER_03]: The number one reason that they pulled out and left was discourages.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because they hit him with a fifty-dollar plan.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, it's like an illusion.
[SPEAKER_03]: Consistently, couldn't fear where are these things were coming from these beings, where is the peering, shooting dark lenses at them, and a salamander.
[SPEAKER_03]: It just got gone.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, just the time is when, all right, we've bombed the city enough piece out.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's, I mean, and that's what I actually, we're going to table top.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's one of the scourges play against them.
[SPEAKER_03]: You can kind of suck.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'll be perfectly off.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, but they really do, they're, they're fairly, Laura's good.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, they're, they, they love the lore because the truth is they're also still incredibly fragile and the table top like, so it gives me, look, they're, yeah, they're, oh yeah, the, the whole squad's dead.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you had a pistol.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's like Indiana Jones style line's them all up because they're all of them.
[SPEAKER_03]: But that being said with the scourges, there's still one more piece of the dark.
[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to talk about my favorite people.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's at me.
[SPEAKER_03]: If you don't know about mandrakes, you're about to learn about them and you're gonna go wanna go paint them.
[SPEAKER_03]: The good news is they have new models.
[SPEAKER_03]: The old models are all so cool.
[SPEAKER_03]: There's nothing better than mandrakes.
[SPEAKER_03]: So first off, what is a mandric?
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the coolest model again.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what mandric is.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, back it up and go, what is it lower because it is city of demons or devil's basically with the worst people ever, they're the boogie man of the devil's sound.
[SPEAKER_03]: Every resident of the dark realm is afraid of the mandrics.
[SPEAKER_03]: Every resident of real space who's interacted with mandrics or is aware of their existence is also afraid of mandrics.
[SPEAKER_03]: So, Manjurik's first off, no one knows where they come from.
[SPEAKER_03]: They appear to be a combination of Eldar, demon, and the warp itself.
[SPEAKER_00]: And they also get some, they're crazy, you know, that you can candy man them up and just make them appear basically.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they are, well, yeah, so the other term is their darkness given form.
[SPEAKER_03]: Are they the ultimate fallen Eldar?
[SPEAKER_03]: No one knows.
[SPEAKER_03]: All we know is they seem to be a manifestation of all of the Eldar.
[SPEAKER_03]: And it's all evil of the elder.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's true.
[SPEAKER_03]: We had.
[SPEAKER_00]: And because they, they're half in the warp, half not the RLDAR, but also, but they're also.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're basically a dark shadow of elders.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it's why they're so cool.
[SPEAKER_00]: They suck so much with the table top.
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's so.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, they're four to point.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're, they're used not least now.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're four to point so bad.
[SPEAKER_00]: But they were, they were, they were the worst thing in the Dark Elder Codex.
[SPEAKER_00]: Four, twenty blushes.
[SPEAKER_03]: and in the Lord, they're the most powerful thing in the community.
[SPEAKER_00]: They give other Dark Eldar nightmares about that.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what they can do.
[SPEAKER_03]: So let's start with the art.
[SPEAKER_03]: So mandrakes, they literally say they live in the shadows.
[SPEAKER_03]: We don't mean like, oh, it's a, a forgotten being that tries to hide.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, they actually live inside the shadows.
[SPEAKER_03]: They can traverse the galaxy through shadow.
[SPEAKER_03]: So if you're an imperial colony and you built your, you know, the way the highest cities are built, you know, they have lots of shadows.
[SPEAKER_03]: Mandrakes will just appear through the shadows and they look badass.
[SPEAKER_00]: It also don't have rhyme in a reason a lot of times for why they're there.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and we'll talk more about what their appearance feels like in a second, but they're just, they're description and you can pay them.
[SPEAKER_03]: I haven't paid them.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they like,
[SPEAKER_03]: jet black skin with some like dark green runes or if you're colorblind like black bread, they're jet black.
[SPEAKER_00]: Never like you.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like what do you mean there's runes for this runes really?
[SPEAKER_03]: They're playing hair, though, it's awesome.
[SPEAKER_03]: And the white hair, the white hair does is in the lore.
[SPEAKER_03]: The table, you'd be really good pairing of this.
[SPEAKER_03]: But in the lore, the white hair, it's not that it's actually white.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's more just like it's like a shimmer.
[SPEAKER_03]: And so it creates like almost a little bit of contrast as they move around.
[SPEAKER_03]: On the tabletop, they kind of like, like, children are the corn a little bit, so it doesn't work as well.
[SPEAKER_03]: But there's that.
[SPEAKER_03]: The next piece I like about them is that they carry these like jewel encrusted swords that are actually again covered in runes and these swords are impossibly sharp.
[SPEAKER_03]: But the two best parts about them is first off they look like they're wearing what it looks like a smock or a garment they're wearing of rags.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh you mean
[SPEAKER_00]: The, don't look at this very close, so you're going to have nightmares about it.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's made of the flayed skins of anyone who's ever betrayed them, because that's what the mandrakes are.
[SPEAKER_03]: And by the way, she mentioned they're an independent force.
[SPEAKER_03]: You can completely independent force with it within commerce.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they're wearing the clothes made from anyone who ever betrayed them.
[SPEAKER_03]: And the other part is one of their hands can actually shoot out energy that will kill or admit them freeze an enemy in place.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not the best guy in the game, but it does devastating wounds, which is good.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it should do way more than that.
[SPEAKER_00]: Again, in the lore, if you anger the man drinks,
[SPEAKER_00]: They will hunt you forever until you die.
[SPEAKER_03]: The only way you know they're coming by the way is all of a sudden the air around you gets very, very cold and then out of the shadows pops, mandricks.
[SPEAKER_03]: The good and the bad for the jukari is good and bad to paint on.
[SPEAKER_03]: what they're looking for are mandrakes are the greatest hunters in the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_03]: You cannot hide from them unless you want to just place yourself in summer that has no shadows.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's the only way to avoid mandrakes if there is shadow they can appear.
[SPEAKER_03]: The problem, again, for the true curry, as I said, is if they're, if they want to kill something that you want, dead, awesome.
[SPEAKER_03]: If they want to kill you, that's awesome.
[SPEAKER_03]: But also, then, yeah, I mean, this is actually, there are stories that's happening to archives, where mandrakes join a real space raid.
[SPEAKER_03]: And then the archives, like, great.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm glad you guys are here.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is awesome.
[SPEAKER_03]: And then the mandrakes killed at that archive.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, almost always, the mandrakes have their own reason to join, which might have absolutely nothing to do.
[SPEAKER_00]: And this is again, why it's a problem leading these raids, because
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: I've got three different factions, plus all these independence.
[SPEAKER_00]: And every time I have my perfect plan, did everybody just do whatever the hell they wanted?
[SPEAKER_00]: Again.
[SPEAKER_03]: My favorite part about the man drinks is that if they do kill an ark on do something, no one does anything about it.
[SPEAKER_03]: And that includes by the way, vect.
[SPEAKER_03]: Vector was killed by man drinks.
[SPEAKER_03]: He was resurrected and did nothing about it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Because why?
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, no, it's because that's in the lore.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the concern is the belief is because Vector knew that you couldn't, you can't be the man.
[SPEAKER_03]: Because what are you going to do?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lead a charge into the shadows.
[SPEAKER_03]: How do you go killed?
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's literally living in the shadows.
[SPEAKER_03]: I will tilt versus witness on all day long.
[SPEAKER_03]: You can't stop me.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if you wrote it.
[SPEAKER_03]: I have a donkey-hotey painting.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I didn't even realize that.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's a donkey-hotey.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's a painting of a donkey-hotey.
[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, I love mandrakes.
[SPEAKER_03]: I've only got fifteen of them.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I would... I would... I would... I would... I would love mandrakes.
[SPEAKER_03]: I would run the thirty of them happily if they didn't... They're not in the center.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're just... They're formed to place now.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're finally okay.
[SPEAKER_00]: Look, man, they were, ha, ha, laughable funny.
[SPEAKER_03]: They should kill.
[SPEAKER_03]: They should be borderline incubi.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I agree.
[SPEAKER_00]: However, it's just nice that they're not bad.
[SPEAKER_00]: I find, but they should have jump, they should have, like, bananas.
[SPEAKER_03]: They should be upy downy.
[SPEAKER_03]: They should have all the things.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, every thing about shit.
[SPEAKER_00]: There.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, but everything about their lore makes their, their rules not line up.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you're, you're not wrong.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're amazing.
[SPEAKER_03]: No.
[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway.
[SPEAKER_03]: Before we close this out, I want to jump back because we've covered enough of these things.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now it's easier for us to kind of close out a bit more about the arenas that the witches are in.
[SPEAKER_03]: Because we touched on it earlier, but you need to kind of understand all the players that exist within Jukari to really get a deeper understanding of the arenas.
[SPEAKER_00]: And they did a good job with this because just like a lot of the Roman society, the arena is the center of a lot of things that the only place that people come together.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: And so the arena that games themselves are crazy.
[SPEAKER_03]: because it's much more than which is fighting each other or captured slaves.
[SPEAKER_03]: It includes mandrakes, not often, but they can be anchuby, scourges, cabalites, and everything else from the game.
[SPEAKER_00]: We reject that, Kelly, it's every monster, any warrior, unfortunately, multiple greens have been thrown into the arena.
[SPEAKER_03]: And what's cool about the arena, though, is that it's not, though, just captured.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the thing is, we talk a lot about, like, people think about the arena as you read the code X is a lot of times, like, it's the original bit, we'll say, one thing that you read the stories, and you find out more later, that the arena as you first think, okay, so the, which cults are fighting in the arena is against, like, the captured slat, like, they've captured some space in the arena, so they've captured some guards, and it's not even that often.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the end of the most part, the arenas are actually people signing up to fight in them.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I want to talk about the why there is pretty cool.
[SPEAKER_03]: If you're a jukari, the why is the power from the pain.
[SPEAKER_03]: You can go in there and you're fighting.
[SPEAKER_03]: You are dead center in arena, killing a witch or even sometimes it won't even be witches fighting.
[SPEAKER_03]: You might be fighting something else.
[SPEAKER_03]: You get a chance to kill and do all these things.
[SPEAKER_03]: And as Brad was saying, when you do that in real space,
[SPEAKER_03]: You act sure you're losing part of your soul while you're doing it.
[SPEAKER_03]: But if you do it in the arena, the power ups better.
[SPEAKER_00]: Anybody's allowed to fight in this.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the biggest thing.
[SPEAKER_00]: You can be a nothing.
[SPEAKER_03]: And you can fight your way up.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now the cooler one to me, though, is the people is the non-drew carry who are choosing to fight.
[SPEAKER_03]: And this comes from a very simple thing of going back to the pirate thing.
[SPEAKER_03]: The pirates.
[SPEAKER_03]: The Drew Carrey are capturing slaves to bring back, but they're also capturing other things like spaceships, weapons, resources.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the Drew Carrey are one of, if not the wealthiest races in the entire galaxy.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they've got to what they do, all of these things have no intrinsic value to the Drew Carrey, but they have extrinsic value.
[SPEAKER_00]: Other people want them.
[SPEAKER_03]: Very, very much so.
[SPEAKER_03]: And the Kabbal is used this for a few different things.
[SPEAKER_03]: They use this money to pay off individuals within colonies like lower defenses.
[SPEAKER_03]: They pay off ship captains to lead people into raids.
[SPEAKER_03]: They also will hire mercenaries to create like off-world diversions so they can have their raids.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is one of the biggest things that they do because they give also.
[SPEAKER_00]: What the big thing about this, did you carry pay so up ten, fifty, a hundred times?
[SPEAKER_03]: They're going right.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're going right.
[SPEAKER_00]: So cares.
[SPEAKER_00]: Let them say it.
[SPEAKER_00]: They just, they give no shits about it.
[SPEAKER_00]: So they're just like, here's a pile of stuff.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I have a billion imperial credits.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, we want to buy with that.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_03]: How about the sandwich?
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't care.
[SPEAKER_03]: I get just that piece of like cares.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: And so one of the big things they do with this money is they put on
[SPEAKER_03]: The Kumate, what it basically is, and inside these arenas, they hire people to come and fight in the arena.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they did this because one of the problems that you carry around into is some of two things.
[SPEAKER_03]: One, some of their pitfighters got to be too powerful, where you talking, especially with Sukibas.
[SPEAKER_03]: You get Sukibas who are just so strong that the only people they can defeat are other equally strong Sukibas.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's not even a sacrifice and good warriors.
[SPEAKER_00]: We could be, especially the one of the most famous Lilith, who didn't take drugs because she was thinking, she was going to take things to slow her down because she was so much better than everybody else.
[SPEAKER_03]: So probably Lilith fights in an equal sucky of us, all you're doing now is losing a good sucky.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: And so this becomes kind of a show, but they couldn't cap at anyone that they'd do car, you could capture.
[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously isn't a good enough warrior because they would have died.
[SPEAKER_03]: What do we do?
[SPEAKER_03]: Simple.
[SPEAKER_03]: We'll put out, you know, an ad in the, basically in the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_00]: I never get this though in the lore because they never really say how they met these people.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like are you on the deep web, the dark web?
[SPEAKER_03]: I just honestly, I just view it as it's probably ads.
[SPEAKER_03]: There's probably like, you know, you're watching like, you know, you're on your imperial spaceship and you're talking, you're watching your commercial for corpse starch or whatever it is.
[SPEAKER_03]: Which, oh, I have to call that out real quick.
[SPEAKER_03]: Um, one of the guys in the discord asked a question about the space marine ability when they're eating a dead body and getting all their memories.
[SPEAKER_03]: What happens to the, like, a corp starts sandwich.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they just get the memories.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, it's every bite.
[SPEAKER_03]: Just the memory of a bunch of people.
[SPEAKER_03]: And that was an amazing take and good job, buddy.
[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, but yeah, they're showing the running ads.
[SPEAKER_03]: And so people sign up.
[SPEAKER_03]: So that realizes you're big.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can only imagine this is that terrible link that you get.
[SPEAKER_00]: You're like, I'm gonna follow that.
[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
[SPEAKER_00]: This looks like malware for sure.
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's talk this out because it's not the lore we can have fun with this.
[SPEAKER_03]: People also go to attend the arena.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's televised.
[SPEAKER_03]: It probably is.
[SPEAKER_03]: There's so many independent.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's got a high substance.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think I think people watch you.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like when ultimate fighting championship came out because I'm old enough for this.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was on VHS.
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, as I'm sure you're like ultimate fighting.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's what they had in nineteen ninety five ninety four somewhere in that realm.
[SPEAKER_03]: Ultimate fighting championship one comes out.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, you know, you're bar on the VHS tape for your buddies.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what this was.
[SPEAKER_03]: And then people were like, I want to go fight the guy in the city in the uniform.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm like, who's this?
[SPEAKER_03]: What's a ghee?
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't care.
[SPEAKER_03]: And man, all I'm going to say is, Keith Hackney.
[SPEAKER_03]: Don't fight Keith Hackney.
[SPEAKER_03]: My friend of mine described, Keith Hackney is someone you don't want to fight in the back seat of a Buick.
[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, but that's what it was.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they put out these ads, in my opinion, all over the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_03]: And the galaxy is full of independent operators.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, Eldar, we talked about, they become the Corsairs, which are effectively pilots.
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, the imperiums got nonstop people, not just the road traders, and people trying to make their fortune elsewhere.
[SPEAKER_03]: Even I firmly believe there's talent who are like, yeah, done with this greater good thing and bailed.
[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they're all floating all around there.
[SPEAKER_03]: Or my personal favorite, is there anything in the galaxy you can think of that likes to fight and shiny cool things?
[SPEAKER_03]: Or there are numerous free Buddhist who show up and fight in the arena over the years because it's the greatest thing ever.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm surprised, guys hasn't appeared in the arena.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's okay.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, they totally let him in, they shouldn't fight him.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're like, well, that's gas, and it's like not, and they're him fighting a bunch of not true carry.
[SPEAKER_03]: Also, you'd just be like, oh, I accidentally made a vlog happen.
[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Can we tell a port him out?
[SPEAKER_03]: And so these, the arena fights get to be incredible.
[SPEAKER_03]: Because as Brad was saying, the jukari don't care about the wealth.
[SPEAKER_03]: They could have, like, hey, I've got this.
[SPEAKER_03]: I have a space marine starship.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't really, I don't want to do anything with his anyone want it.
[SPEAKER_03]: And it's like, it's legitimately sitting in the back of your mint condition and someone's like, I want it.
[SPEAKER_03]: All right, just go into Serena and kill all of those people and you can have it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Be fun.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: You get a spaceship.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: You're like, okay.
[SPEAKER_03]: And by the way, the Drew Cari do hold their word.
[SPEAKER_03]: If you come and you fight in the arena and you don't die,
[SPEAKER_03]: They don't like then stab you in the back in your way out because they think as they want you to come back, they want more people to do this.
[SPEAKER_03]: So granted, safe passage in and out, but the part I like a lot more, it's not just people coming to fight.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's also people coming don't watch.
[SPEAKER_03]: And there are numerous stories of rogue traders being in the audience.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, the best part is they want
[SPEAKER_03]: something and it might not be redance.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you didn't think you didn't give money to get in here.
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
[SPEAKER_03]: You probably did something.
[SPEAKER_00]: You probably bought some people that are going to have some terrible things happen to them.
[SPEAKER_03]: There are rumors of the in a members of the inquisition attending this.
[SPEAKER_03]: So how the hell did they get there?
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Probably not.
[SPEAKER_03]: Probably not.
[SPEAKER_03]: Probably not.
[SPEAKER_03]: Ordozino.
[SPEAKER_03]: So if I'm being honest, I mean, they are attracted.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's ordo malias going into this thing and being like, I'm just not going to tell the guys in Ordozino.
[SPEAKER_03]: So I was here.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: It seems bad.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: And these battles within the arena get epic.
[SPEAKER_03]: As we were talking about, you know, people, individual fighters coming in, but it's not just
[SPEAKER_03]: an individual fighter or a few fighters, you will have full blown tens of thousands of combatants waging a like a campaign inside of you.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's how big these aren't.
[SPEAKER_00]: Because they have what is effectively reality changing engines.
[SPEAKER_00]: They have the hollow deck in a million seating stadium.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I love this concept too of the battles again, like I've been to the Coliseum.
[SPEAKER_03]: So if you haven't go, it's kind of cool.
[SPEAKER_03]: But the base of the Coliseum is not that big.
[SPEAKER_03]: So you're not just sitting there watching from the stands.
[SPEAKER_03]: These fights actually enter into the stands.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they'll be
[SPEAKER_03]: not just up close and high, they'll actually be next to you in fighting, but more walkers, tanks, they'll be tightens, we'll be fighting within this thing.
[SPEAKER_03]: But because of the way it's Brad saying, it's, you know, reality altering.
[SPEAKER_03]: Effectively, you're also safe.
[SPEAKER_03]: I can sit there in the arena while two tightens blasted each other with thermal lances.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm good.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I just get to enjoy it and laugh.
[SPEAKER_03]: the best part, though, of the arenas, are as when the arena enters any sort of story within the GW arc, because every single time it gets awesome.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm just gonna kind of drop it there at Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: True.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they're amazing.
[SPEAKER_03]: And we're going to get to them in the future and we kind of dive into that.
[SPEAKER_03]: But with that, we're going to do, it's going to feel like a sudden stop, but just because we got excited and then we kind of ran it for show them.
[SPEAKER_03]: But I think this has been enough to carry for now.
[SPEAKER_03]: As you guys can tell, this is one thing we are a bit more passionate about, so you get excited.
[SPEAKER_03]: We didn't really touch in the characters very much, that's because most of the jukaric characters come up pretty heavily in the unari time line.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's easier to tell the story that way.
[SPEAKER_03]: Otherwise, we're telling a piece of the unari and having to stop.
[SPEAKER_03]: So I remember I just just won three out, play a three episode cast on unari and just guy knock it all out.
[SPEAKER_03]: So with that, we're going to, and this next week, we're going to do a two part, start the two part cast.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a listener request called, where are they now for the primarks?
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just saying I thought we were just going to do only eighties rock bands.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no.
[SPEAKER_03]: I want to have a happy cast.
[SPEAKER_03]: I actually think talking at the lower guard is a happier story than what happened to an eighties one hit one.
[SPEAKER_03]: Flacca Seagulls, baby.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, she had a moment.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I ran.
[SPEAKER_03]: That was that was that.
[SPEAKER_03]: Was that their song?
[SPEAKER_03]: No idea.
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_03]: So anyway, next week, two-part cast will probably the loyalists and then the traders.
[SPEAKER_03]: Spoiler alert, Horace is dead.
[SPEAKER_03]: So that one, I'll save you guys that one at a time.

[SPEAKER_03]: So we're doing Tau in December.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: For sure.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: John does not like shield drones.

[SPEAKER_03]: This guy.
[SPEAKER_03]: Enjoy a week.
