This podcast is a shared sacred spiritual garden and the work here is intentional.

Through seasonal readings, conversations, and lived wisdom, we practice reparenting ourselves at the root through the guidance of the cosmic mother, learning how balance, harmony, and reciprocity actually function in real life.

This is a digital community built with care: where mind, body, and soul sit at the same table; where feminine and masculine energies learn cooperation instead of control; and where becoming your best self is not rushed, but cultivated.

Listeners are invited to tend the garden together, to share their voices as guests, and to grow in community  because everyone has something to say, and what we grow together nourishes us all.

Pull up a chair.

The work is meaningful.

The tea is warm.

Welcome to The 3 A.M. Witness a ten-part late-night porch conversation about identity, honesty, performance, relationships, reality, survival, consciousness, and the strange patterns we all quietly notice but rarely say out loud during business hours.

This is not self-help.

This is not preaching.

This is not “five steps to become enlightened.”

This is curious witnessing.

A Gen X style existential conversation for the people sitting awake at 3:00 a.m. wondering if humanity is deeply honest, deeply afraid, or simply doing the best it can inside systems none of us fully understand.

Each episode pulls apart another thread: relationships, masks, memory, survival strategies, social performance, chaos, order, identity, and the stories we build just to make life feel survivable.

No gurus.

No perfect answers.

Just real questions, uncomfortable observations, and the willingness to sit with them long enough to notice something true underneath.

Tonight’s question:

If honesty destroys the relationship… what exactly was the relationship built on?

What if healing was never supposed to become your whole personality?

Week Twenty-One is the turning point.

After months of reflection, accountability, rebuilding, boundaries, nervous system repair, and learning how to hold yourself in the world… this episode asks a new question:

Now what?

Not from pressure.

Not from performance.

But from possibility.

This week is about releasing survival as your identity and stepping back into participation, joy, creativity, connection, and life itself.

You didn’t survive all of this just to become emotionally intelligent and exhausted.

At some point… You have to live.

Motherhood is the only job where people expect perfection from exhausted humans carrying unhealed generations in their nervous system.

This is not a Hallmark episode.

This is a contemplative conversation about mothers, daughters, sons, inherited pain, nervous systems, survival strategies, accountability, and the complicated truth that love and damage can exist in the same home at the same time.

Some mothers survived through silence.

Some through hardening.

Some through performance.

Some through over-functioning.

Some through party mode.

Some through emotional distance.

Some through sacrifice so deep nobody noticed they disappeared inside it.

And now newer generations are trying to heal while sometimes unconsciously passing new pain forward in different language.

This episode is not about blame.

It is about awareness.

Because healing is not pretending your mother never hurt you.

But healing also is not building your entire identity around proving she did.

Tonight at the kitchen table by the ocean, we talk honestly about the architecture that built us… and how to stop unconsciously rebuilding it.

What if your awareness…

is actually making everything about you?

Week Twenty is a reality check.

Not to tear you down

but to bring you back to center.

Because somewhere along the way, “healing” turned into labeling.

“Awareness” turned into diagnosing.

And real-life interactions started getting filtered through words like narcissistic, toxic, red flags—without the lived understanding to back them.

This episode cuts through that.

You’ll learn how to hold the truth that you are your own universe…

without turning yourself into the center of everyone else’s.

And how to navigate real relationships messy, loving, misaligned without over-judging or over-excusing.

What happens when two people don’t match… but fit?

This episode is a playful, poetic, slightly sassy walk through the real dynamic between JC and I where contrast isn’t conflict, it’s curriculum.

Alaska meets Florida.

Heavy metal meets techno.

Sweet meets sour.

Neuroscience meets the cosmos.

We’re not the same people.

We don’t think the same thoughts.

We don’t even move through the world the same way.

And that’s exactly the point.

Because somewhere between structure and chaos… logic and wonder… seriousness and play…

there’s a space where something deeper forms:

Harmony.

Not sameness.

Not agreement.

Not perfection.

But participation.

This is a conversation about how difference can either divide you…

or develop you depending on how you choose to meet it

In case you forgot…

You are not separate from this planet.

You are not just watching something miraculous unfold.

You are one of its expressions.

Today, we move from awe into responsibility

from witnessing the intelligence of the Earth

into recognizing that same intelligence within ourselves.

Because if you are part of something this intricate…

this responsive…

this alive…

then the real question is:

what are you doing with that?

What if the hardest truth about your relationships isn’t about who hurt you or who failed you but about how you continue to engage after you already know better?

This week gets real.

Not dramatic for the sake of it, but honest in a way that most people avoid.

We move out of theory and into lived reality,
where not every relationship is aligned, not every interaction is reciprocal, and not everything is meant to grow.

This episode explores how to stay grounded in who you are
while participating in a world full of people who are not.

You don’t have to force outcomes.
But you do have to decide what continues… and what stops.

Week Eighteen deepens the work into relationships. After learning how to hold yourself and stay aligned in motion, this episode explores the next level of maturity: How to care for others without carrying them. This is where compassion meets sovereignty. Where presence replaces control. Where love is no longer measured by how much you fix, but by how well you allow. Struggle is not the enemy. It is part of ownership. And ownership is part of growth. This episode invites you to stand firm in your own path while allowing others to walk theirs........fully.

You are not living in the world - you are living in the version of it your mind keeps rebuilding.

In this episode, we sit at the ocean, at the kitchen table, and walk through what that actually means - without fluff, without “just think positive,” and without bypassing real life.

This is about patterns.

The thoughts you repeat.

The feelings they create.

The way you show up because of them.

And how that quietly builds the same outcomes again and again.

No matter your age, your background, your beliefs, or your education this applies to you.

Because every time you say the word “you”… you are speaking to your own universe.

Today, we slow it down, make it practical, and give you something you can actually use right now.

Which Way Are You Swaying?

Week Seventeen refines awareness into direction.

After learning how to take action, express truth, and hold yourself steady, this episode explores something more subtle:

The way you move over time.

You don’t fall off all at once.

You sway - quietly, gradually, reasonably.

And that sway can take you away from your alignment through distraction and ego…

or too far into it through rigidity and over-focus.

This week is about learning to notice your direction while you’re still moving.

Because alignment is not just about what you choose once.

It’s about what you continue choosing without losing yourself along the way.

Week Sixteen brings the work inward again, but with a different level of responsibility.

You’ve reflected.

You’ve recognized patterns.

You’ve taken action.

You’ve learned how to move through the world with intention.

Now comes the real practice:

Holding yourself in real time.

This episode explores what happens in the moments before you slip—when old patterns begin to negotiate, when clarity softens, and when you feel the pull to explain, adjust, or abandon yourself.

You don’t need another breakthrough.

You need to hold what you already know.

This week teaches how to stabilize your truth internally so you can move through relationships, conversations, and daily life without losing alignment.

Week Fifteen brings structure to everything you’ve uncovered.

After a season of winter reflection and a decisive step into spring action, this episode introduces a foundational tool for living what you now know:

The Three Faces.

You are not meant to show up the same way in every space.

But you are meant to remain consistent in truth across all of them.

This episode teaches how to maintain your sovereign self while navigating real-world relationships without oversharing, withdrawing, or distorting who you are.

Your private face holds your discernment.

Your intimate face builds connection.

Your public face carries your contribution.

Spring is not just about action.

It’s about learning how to move with clarity in every room you enter.

We spend so much time chasing what we believe will make us feel free only to find ourselves feeling confined once we finally get it. This episode explores the quiet gap between expectation and reality, and why joy cannot exist where self-betrayal begins. Grounded, honest, and steady, this conversation invites you to recalibrate what freedom actually means and how to hold it without losing yourself.

Good evening.

Tonight, we sit with a simple but easily forgotten truth - nothing real can be reduced to one explanation without losing itself. In a time where everything is summarized, labeled, and decided in seconds, we gently examine what it costs us to collapse complexity into certainty. This is not about blame. Not about sides. Not even about being right. It’s about seeing clearly… and noticing where we participate in simplifying what was never meant to be simple.

Tonight’s reflection explores what it really means to raise your vibration, not as a concept to escape pain, but as a practice of returning to yourself. We look at the difference between wanting to leave your life and wanting relief from suffering, and how small, grounded shifts in your body, thoughts, and attention can begin to restore clarity, energy, and direction.

This is a shadow work conversation. Honest. Gentle. Empowering.

Because the goal is not perfection.

The goal is remembering how to come back to yourself - gain and again.

Spring has arrived.

After months of reflection, regulation, and reparenting from the roots, this week marks a clear transition:

You are no longer preparing.

You are participating.

Week Fourteen is about accountability with compassion.

About recognizing that what you saw in winter now asks to be lived differently in spring.

This episode moves beyond awareness into action—inviting you to interrupt patterns, take responsibility for what you now see, and step forward with clarity.

You are not becoming someone new.

You are becoming someone who no longer negotiates with what is true.

When does adulthood actually begin, and excuses expire, and why do so many of us feel like we’ve “done the work,” only to find ourselves starting over at a deeper level?

In this episode, we sit at the kitchen table and talk honestly about accountability, healing, and the quiet patterns that follow us into adulthood. This is a reflection on what it really means to re-parent yourself year after year, how ego can disguise itself as mastery, and why the moment you think you’ve completed a layer of healing… may actually be the doorway into the next.

We explore the difference between seeking validation and being internally grounded, the subtle ways unresolved patterns show up in adult relationships, and how true maturity isn’t about perfection, it’s about ownership, adaptability, and integrity.

If you’ve ever felt like you’ve grown… only to be asked to grow again—this conversation is for you.

Week Thirteen arrives at the edge of a new season.

In just a few days, spring officially begins. After twelve weeks of winter reflection calming the nervous system, returning after missteps, holding shape, practicing discernment, and rebuilding from the roots this episode asks a simple but honest question:

Did you make it through the winter?

For some, the season may feel complete.

For others, winter may still be unfolding internally.

For others still, the first signs of sunlight and growth may already be visible.

This episode explores how repetition in life often signals unfinished learning, not failure. It invites listeners to notice patterns with curiosity and take one small step into spring carrying the wisdom of winter into action.

It also introduces the next tool for the journey ahead: the three faces we wear the one in private, the one in intimate relationships, and the one in public life.

Spring is almost here.

This week is the bridge.

The world does not always look like love.

Turn on the news, scroll through a comment section, or simply move through a difficult day and it can seem like anger, fear, and division are winning. But if you step back far enough and look at the long arc of human life, another truth quietly reveals itself.

The final tally always favors love.

In this evening kitchen-table conversation by the ocean, we explore what love actually looks like in real life not the polished version people imagine, but the lived version that requires patience, honesty, repair, and the willingness to keep showing up.

Jessica shares reflections from her own marriage with JC how love is not always easy, not always soft, and rarely effortless. It is daily work. It is conversations, self-evaluation, compromise, and the choice to keep growing together even when life, business, responsibilities, and the ordinary chaos of living get in the way.

Sometimes love stretches our patience.

Sometimes love slows our reactions.

Sometimes love simply means staying in the room long enough to understand each other.

Together we explore a deeper idea: that conflict, fear, and even rejection are often distorted attempts to protect or find love and that one of the greatest acts of love is simply witnessing another person’s journey.

Like a garden, relationships and communities must be tended with care, patience, and intention. And when we do that work together, something remarkable happens.

Love becomes visible again.

Join us for this quiet reflection on connection, growth, and the steady truth that beneath all the noise of the world, humanity continues to reach for the same thing.

Love.

Week Twelve marks the threshold.

For eleven weeks, this series has lived in winter the season of slowing down, regulating the nervous system, repairing internal structures, and reparenting from the roots.

Winter is where we sit with ourselves. Where we notice patterns. Where we return after missteps. Where we hold shape and develop discernment.

But winter is not meant to last forever.

With only two weeks left in the season, Week Twelve begins preparing for the transition into spring the movement from internal work into outward living.

This episode reflects on what it means to trust yourself after a season of contemplation. Not rushing into action, but recognizing that growth eventually asks to be lived in the world: in communities, relationships, workplaces, and the small ecosystems of daily life.

Winter gave you roots. Spring will ask you to tend the garden.

In a world moving faster than most of us can process, where attention has become the modern currency and truth can feel difficult to locate, Jess Rey and Dr. Rey are setting aside one evening a week to return to something timeless.

Love.

Not the polished version.
Not the curated version.

The real one.

Every Friday, Jess and Dr. Rey sit down together at the proverbial kitchen table and invite listeners into an honest conversation about life, relationships, culture, and the quiet work of staying in harmony with one another even when it’s not easy.

Some weeks they’ll agree.
Some weeks they won’t.

But every conversation is grounded in curiosity, respect, and the belief that relationships are where we practice being human.

Each episode ends with a short poem written and shared by Dr. Rey, offering a moment of reflection to carry into the weekend.

You can explore more of Dr. Rey’s work on The Observable Unknown Podcast and at crowscover.com.

Because at the end of the day, one simple truth remains:

Everybody has something to say

Week Eleven steps into the tension of the moment without panic and without denial.

We are living in a time that feels extraordinary rapid shifts, generational friction, power restructuring, cultural uncertainty, new freedoms, contested freedoms. It can feel like we are advancing quickly. It can also feel like we are wobbling.

This episode asks a grounded question:

Are we progressing or simply cycling back into familiar human patterns dressed up in modern language?

Drawing from Dr. Rey’s conversation on The Observable Unknown about the games people play Parent, Adult, and Child roles, Week Eleven invites every generation to the adult table. No one is assigned to the kid table. Everyone is capable of discernment.

Winter is almost over. Spring is peeking through. Momentum is building.

The invitation is not to rush. It is to choose your posture wisely.

Discernment is the greatest act of self-love.

Some questions do not leave.

They return in different seasons, asking for deeper honesty and a steadier kind of courage.

In this first guest episode of Everybody Has Something to Say, Jess sits down with Dr. Juan Carlos Rey (Scholar, Author, and host of The Observable Unknown) for a conversation about slow growth, inner peace, and the questions that continue shaping a life over time.

Together they explore:

  • What success looks like when progress is quiet but real
  • The habits that protect peace, even when misunderstood
  • The questions that return across decades — not to be solved, but to be lived

The conversation moves from work to sovereignty to poetry. Dr. Rey reflects on what poetry means to him personally and reads a piece that holds one of the questions he is still living inside.

This episode is about authorship.

About co-creation.

About becoming who you say you are  slowly, deliberately, honestly.

If you have ever wondered whether your life can become something intentional regardless of where you started, this conversation is for you.

Some questions don’t resolve.

They deepen.

And sometimes, they stay for a reason.

After learning to hold structure (Week Nine), this episode explores a quieter truth: growth is not always dramatic, meaningful moments are not always obvious, and life often teaches through ordinary encounters.

A slow day in Mesquite a donkey museum, the quiet reality of endurance, and witnessing a living sand art installation becomes the classroom.

This episode speaks to listeners who are doing the work without visible milestones. Who expected a breakthrough and instead found grounding. Who are learning that witnessing others becoming is part of becoming yourself.

Week Ten introduces a turning point in the season:

Consistency is no longer preparation.

It is momentum.

Winter is ending. Nothing is forced. But movement is beginning.

Episode 52: Permission to Ripen

10 min
Open

There are seasons where nothing looks dramatic from the outside, yet everything inside is reorganizing.

This episode speaks to the quiet pressure many people feel to decide faster, become clearer, and produce visible change — even when something deeper is still forming.

Today’s conversation explores the difference between avoidance and ripening, the invisible work of integration, and why steadiness is often more transformative than urgency.

If you are in a space that feels slow, undefined, or transitional, this episode offers language, permission, and a gentler frame for the work that is happening beneath the surface.

Episode 51: 2026 Fire Horse

6 min
Open

Today we close the Year of the Snake and step into the first day of the Fire Horse.

This episode is personal and data-driven. Reflective and forward-facing.

I share what the Snake required of me this past year the descent, the discipline, the pattern recognition, the repair work that no one applauds and what the Fire Horse is asking of us now: movement, courage, clean momentum, and creative risk.

As always, this space is for builders. For re-parents. For late bloomers. For steady hands who want sustainable success.

Three reflection questions.

One small integrating action.

And a warm welcome into a new energetic year.

Week Nine explores what it means to hold your internal structure when other people around you are unstructured.

After learning to return (Week Seven) and to stay when things are quiet (Week Eight), this episode moves into a more advanced practice: remaining stable when others are reactive, inconsistent, or emotionally loud.

This is not about superiority. It is not about detachment.

It is about maturity.

Week Nine speaks to the moments when:

someone escalates,

someone withdraws,

someone projects,

someone refuses accountability,

or someone simply hasn’t done their work yet.

Set again in the winter classroom by the ocean, this episode invites listeners to build strength without hardening, clarity without cruelty, and steadiness without self-abandonment.

The waves move. The table stays.

That is the work.

Valentine’s Day doesn’t land the same for everyone.

For some, it highlights absence instead of connection.

For others, it asks for performance when what’s really needed is presence.

This episode is for the people who felt misunderstood by the holiday, by expectations, or by the story they were told love was supposed to follow.

Through a Friday the 13th that didn’t go as planned and a Valentine’s Day that quietly rewrote itself, this conversation explores cooperation over perfection, redefining success, and the power of being a warm witness to another human being.

Because love that lasts isn’t loud.

It’s responsive.

And it shows up when the script fails.

Friday the 13th gets a bad reputation.

So does joy when it’s disciplined, intentional, and quietly chosen.

In this episode, we sit at the kitchen table and talk about Friday the 13th, the Muppets, misunderstood meaning, and why learning to pause might be one of the most radical things we can do right now. This is a reflection on perspective, timing, and how we flip the script when the world tells us to be afraid or distracted.

We end with a simple, old lucky penny practice to help you carry that shift into the world.

Week Eight explores one of the most overlooked skills in reparenting: staying when nothing is wrong and no one is rewarding you for it.

After learning how to return in Week Seven, this episode moves deeper into the quiet terrain that follows repair the days when things are functional, regulated, and unremarkable. The work has not collapsed. It simply isn’t dramatic.

This episode speaks directly to listeners navigating families, workplaces, communities, and relationships of all kinds where repair is rarely acknowledged, consistency is rarely celebrated, and growth often happens without applause.

Set in the same winter, ocean-side classroom, Week Eight offers grounded encouragement for remaining steady across ordinary life: at home, at work, in community spaces, and inside the family you are actively building within yourself and with others.

Winter continues.

The roots deepen where no one is looking.

Some anniversaries arrive quietly, carrying more meaning than explanation.

This episode was recorded at the kitchen table, one day after marking 365 days since a life-altering internal reckoning. On day 366, we sit with what it means to stay through menopause, illness, identity shifts, and changing family dynamics without forcing clarity or resolution.

We talk about structure as liberation, about crying on the floor and getting back up, and about hope that doesn’t always look shiny or spiritual. Sometimes hope looks like a from-scratch German chocolate cake, baked slowly, shared tenderly, and eaten one honest bite at a time.

This is a gathering place, not a hierarchy. A reminder that we all put our pants on one leg at a time and that none of us has to carry our stories alone.

You’re invited to pull up a chair, reflect, and share your own stories of trials, triumphs, tricks, treats, and everything in between at CrowsCupboard.com, and to continue exploring with us on The Observable Unknown.

Week Seven explores what to do when the structure you built doesn’t hold without turning it into something heavy or dramatic.

Released one day early in honor of a 15-year marriage, this episode offers a lived, light-hearted example of how reparenting skills show up not only in intimate relationships, but with children, family, coworkers, neighbors, and even people you don’t see eye to eye with.

Some days you wake up regulated and wise.

Some days you wake up on the wrong side of the bed.

Both are human. Both are workable.

Repair is not solemn. It is practical. Sometimes even funny.

The ocean is still moving.

Winter is still here.

And returning can be gentle, ordinary, and full of grace.

Episode 44: Hope at the Kitchen Table

6 min
Open

In a time when the world feels loud, urgent, and uncertain, this episode returns to something small enough to hold in your hands.

Hope is explored not as optimism, motivation, or belief in better outcomes, but as a quiet, sovereign participation in being alive.

Through the story of an early Aerogarden leaf on a difficult day and a bowl of rice and greens months later listeners are guided back to their own kitchen table, their own windowsill, their own small acts that restore steadiness when nothing else makes sense.

You may not control the world.

But you always control how you participate in your life.

Episode 43: Injury is not your identity

5 min
Open
This episode is not advice, motivation, or self-help. It is an orientation. Across individuals, families, cultures, and history, one confusion repeats with devastating consistency: mistaking injury for identity. When harm becomes who we believe we are, healing stalls—not because the pain is unreal, but because responsibility feels like threat rather than dignity. This episode names a single distinction that restores agency without cruelty, compassion without collapse, and responsibility without shame. It is offered plainly, without agenda, as a message many humans need to hear right now. Listen slowly. Return when needed     Jessica Rey

Episode 41: Feel Deeply, Think Clearly

13 min
Open
In today’s episode, I’m holding space for the truth that there is real tragedy happening around us, and I am not here to dismiss it, shrink it, explain it away, or “think positive” over it. People are suffering. People are grieving. People are afraid. And that matters.   This episode is simply my attempt to help us keep a clear mind and a steady heart so we can feel what we feel without falling apart, and think clearly enough to take our next right step. Not because the pain isn’t real, but because our ability to stay present matters.   We’ll talk gently about three layers of life: the small world inside us, the big world outside us, and the middle world where our choices still live. This is about building steadiness—not to escape reality, but to meet it with more care, clarity, and courage. For more support and resources, visit crowscupboard.com.   Jessica Rey

This weekly episode brings together the first four weeks of the Yule season catabasis a foundation built underground through lived practice, not performance.   Over Weeks 1–4, we cultivated four primary virtues and their supportive companions: allowing with grace, self-accountability, discernment with compassionate understanding, and perspective before choice. These virtues form a complete root system for reparenting from the inside out helping listeners meet reality honestly, stay present with their lives, set boundaries with heart, and make choices they can live with.   Beginning Week Five, this series shifts into a new rhythm: one weekly episode designed to be self-guided. Listeners are invited to take what they hear each week and apply it in real time, using the first four weeks as the internal framework.   For community reflection, shared wisdom, and continued conversation, visit CrowsCupboard.com.   The foundation is set. Week Four · Day Seven closes this week of the Yule season with a gentle tea-party recap: a moment to rest, reflect, and gather what has quietly unfolded through the practices of Perspective Before Choice and Staying Curious When You Don’t Agree.   Rather than evaluating decisions or measuring outcomes, this episode invites listeners to notice how slowing down, seeing widely, and choosing thoughtfully changes the way we live inside our own lives. It is a celebration of steadiness over urgency, integrity over performance, and care over certainty.   Set like a winter afternoon by the sea with soft light, warm tea, and room to exhale this reflection reframes growth as learning how to choose without abandoning ourselves.   Listeners are warmly invited to rest, reflect, and continue the walk in community at CrowsCupboard.com, an intentional digital space where balance, harmony, and reciprocity are practiced together.   The week closes. Week Four · Day Six brings the practices of Perspective Before Choice and Staying Curious When You Don’t Agree - into the soul - the place where meaning, integrity, and long-term peace are shaped.

In this episode, we explore how the soul is affected when choices are rushed, borrowed, or made out of fear, and how it settles when decisions are made with patience, honesty, and care. Rather than striving for perfect choices, listeners are invited to consider how choosing consciously after truly seeing allows the soul to remain intact and at ease.

Set within the Yule season of personal catabasis, this reflection reframes soul growth as coherence rather than certainty, and wisdom as the ability to live with one’s decisions without turning against oneself.

Gentle questions and one simple, doable practice are offered to support soul-level steadiness and trust.

Listeners are warmly invited to continue walking this season of reflection and lived wisdom at CrowsCupboard.com, an intentional digital community rooted in balance, harmony, and reciprocity.

Week Four · Day Five brings the practices of Perspective Before Choice and Staying Curious When You Don’t Agree into the mind the place where pressure often turns into overthinking, looping, and mental exhaustion.   In this episode, we explore how the mind reacts when it feels forced to decide too quickly, and how perspective and curiosity work together to quiet internal arguments and create space for clarity to emerge naturally. Rather than demanding certainty or silencing doubt, listeners are invited to practice a calmer, more honest way of thinking that allows learning and understanding to unfold over time.   Set within the Yule season of personal catabasis, this reflection reframes mental clarity as patience paired with truth, and emotional steadiness as something that grows when we stop interrogating ourselves.   Gentle questions and one simple, doable practice are offered to support both intellectual calm and emotional ease.   Listeners are warmly invited to continue walking this season of reflection and lived wisdom at CrowsCupboard.com, an intentional digital community rooted in balance, harmony, and reciprocity.   The mind settles. Listeners are invited to notice how the body signals readiness, hesitation, or quiet clarity, and how listening to these signals can support wiser, more sustainable choices.   Set within the Yule season of personal catabasis, this reflection reframes bodily awareness as an ally in discernment rather than something to push through or ignore.   Gentle questions and one simple, doable practice are offered to support embodied clarity and self-trust.   Listeners are warmly invited to continue walking this season of reflection and lived wisdom at CrowsCupboard.com, an intentional digital community rooted in balance, harmony, and reciprocity.   The body speaks. Week Four · Day Three brings together the two virtues we’ve been practicing this week: Perspective Before Choice and Staying Curious When You Don’t Agree.

In this episode, we explore how these virtues work together to support wiser, steadier decision-making. Seeing widely allows us to gather truth from multiple angles, while curiosity keeps us from rushing into certainty too soon. Together, they create the conditions for choices that are thoughtful, grounded, and easier to live with over time.

Set within the Yule season of personal catabasis, this reflection invites listeners to release urgency, trust the value of slow understanding, and recognize that choosing slowly is often an act of courage rather than avoidance.

Gentle questions and one simple, doable practice are offered to help integrate these virtues into everyday life.

Listeners are warmly invited to continue walking this season of reflection and lived wisdom at CrowsCupboard.com, an intentional digital community rooted in balance, harmony, and reciprocity.

Week Four · Day Two introduces the supportive virtue for this week: Staying Curious When You Don’t Agree - the practice of remaining open, thoughtful, and humane when faced with perspectives that challenge or unsettle us.   Building on yesterday’s focus on perspective before choice, this episode explores how curiosity protects us from rigidity and defensiveness, and how it allows understanding to deepen without requiring agreement. Staying curious helps us gather real information before deciding what we believe, where we stand, and how we want to move forward.   Set within the Yule season of personal catabasis, this reflection invites listeners to soften their grip on certainty and trust that curiosity is not weakness, but a sign of inner stability.   Gentle questions and one simple, doable practice are offered to support clarity, patience, and wiser decision-making.   Listeners are warmly invited to continue walking this season of reflection and lived wisdom at CrowsCupboard.com, an intentional digital community rooted in balance, harmony, and reciprocity.   The seeing continues. Week Four of the Yule season opens with the main virtue of Perspective Before Choice, the practice of slowing down long enough to see more than one side of a situation before deciding how to move forward.   In this episode, we explore why many of us feel pressured to decide quickly, take sides, or reach certainty before we’re ready, and how this urgency can disconnect us from our own wisdom. Perspective before choice allows clarity to emerge without force and gives our decisions a steadier foundation.   Set within the ongoing thirteen-week winter catabasis, this reflection invites listeners to practice patience with complexity and to trust that thoughtful seeing is not avoidance, but preparation.   Gentle questions and one simple, doable practice are offered to support calm, grounded decision-making.   Listeners are warmly invited to continue walking this season of reflection and lived wisdom at CrowsCupboard.com, an intentional digital community rooted in balance, harmony, and reciprocity.   The week begins. Week Three · Day Six brings the work of Discernment with Compassionate Understanding and Boundaried Empathy into the soul the part of us shaped not by single decisions, but by how we live with ourselves over time.   In this episode, we explore how the soul is affected when clarity turns into judgment or when compassion turns into self-erasure. Rather than striving for moral perfection or spiritual certainty, listeners are invited to consider how discernment and empathy together create integrity, peace, and a deeper sense of belonging within one’s own life.   Set within the Yule season of personal catabasis, this reflection reframes soul growth as coherence rather than purity, and wisdom as the ability to remain open without losing oneself.   Thoughtful questions and one simple, doable practice are offered to support soul-level steadiness and trust.   Listeners are warmly invited to continue walking this season of reflection and lived wisdom at CrowsCupboard.com, an intentional digital community rooted in balance, harmony, and reciprocity.   The seeing deepens. Week Three · Day Five brings the work of Discernment with Compassionate Understanding and Boundaried Empathy into the mind the place where overthinking, self-doubt, and emotional spirals often take hold.   In this episode, we explore how the mind tries to protect us by explaining, predicting, or rehearsing, and how this can quietly exhaust us when clarity and compassion aren’t working together. Rather than silencing thoughts or forcing positive thinking, listeners are invited to practice a steadier mental approach: seeing clearly without harshness and caring without losing perspective.   Set within the Yule season of personal catabasis, this reflection reframes mental clarity as honesty paired with kindness, and emotional steadiness as something that grows when we stop arguing with ourselves.   Thoughtful questions and one simple, doable practice are offered to support both intellectual clarity and emotional calm.   Listeners are warmly invited to continue walking this season of reflection and lived wisdom at CrowsCupboard.com, an intentional digital community rooted in balance, harmony, and reciprocity.   The mind settles. In this third Sea Goat Sermons reflection, we continue the unfolding conversation on Warm Witnessing love understood not as a feeling, but as a lived commitment to presence, attention, and staying.   This episode deepens the inquiry beyond sentiment and spiritual shorthand, exploring why witnessing another person is often more costly and more transformative than offering reassurance, advice, or distance dressed up as care. We reflect on how love grows through time, effort, patience, and the quiet courage to remain when clarity doesn’t arrive on demand.   Set at the pace of tide and teacups, this sermon invites listeners to consider love as a structure we build with our lives, not a mood we wait to feel. A continuation of the Warm Witnessing series, this episode speaks to relationships, self-trust, spiritual maturity, and the kind of devotion that doesn’t rush what is still becoming.   No fixing. No saving. Just the long, steady work of staying.             Jessica Rey

In this reflective episode, we explore a quieter but necessary tension: the difference between comfort and growth.   While belonging, shared values, and familiar communities are essential for safety and healing, they are not meant to be the final destination. This conversation examines how over-reliance on agreement whether through technology, ideology, or insulated social circles can slowly limit discernment, resilience, and personal responsibility.   With a steady, grandmotherly perspective shaped by lived experience, this episode invites listeners to honor their tribes without becoming confined by them, to welcome contrast without self-attack, and to strengthen their ideas through thoughtful challenge rather than avoidance.   This is not a rejection of community, nor a call to constant disruption. It is an invitation to conscious expansion: to step beyond what soothes us, test what we believe, and allow pressure applied with care to refine rather than fracture.   A reminder that we don’t need to be heroes to grow. We need courage, curiosity, and the willingness to stay present.   No spectacle. No urgency. Just the steady work of becoming solid.       Jessica Rey

I am not your hero I am human  Episode 2   Humans Need Humans   A Reflection on Compassion, Containment, and Care   In this quiet, steady reflection, we return to a simple but essential truth: humans need humans.   This episode explores why we are not meant to carry fear alone, why healing requires being seen, and why support ecosystems matter more than we often realize. As technology moves faster than wisdom and information outpaces integration, we pause to consider what keeps people grounded presence, accountability, and human connection.   Rather than alarm or blame, this conversation offers a middle way: compassion paired with containment, care anchored by structure, and hope held without denial. We reflect on how nervous systems regulate together, why tools must live inside human systems rather than replace them, and how witnessing one another is an act of responsibility as much as love.   This is not a call to panic or retreat, but an invitation to slow down, stay present, and remember what truly supports resilience.   No urgency. No spectacle.
Episode 2 Sea Goat sermon   Goat Sermon: Love as Witness In this Sea Goat Sermon, we explore love not as sentiment or reflex, but as witness the quiet, steady act of presence that stays when things are real, unfinished, and human. This episode reflects on love as engagement rather than abstraction: the willingness to pay attention, to participate, and to offer time, energy, and accountability instead of distance-safe concern. We consider why witnessing costs something, why it requires patience and humility, and why being truly seen is one of the deepest forms of care available to us. Moving gently between devotion and responsibility, this sermon invites listeners to reimagine love as something practiced rather than proclaimed—rooted in boundaries, discernment, and the courage to remain present. This is a slower conversation.  A steadier one.  An offering of love with a backbone. No persuasion.  No performance.  Just presence.

How Allowing with Grace Shapes the Soul

Week One · Day Six turns the lens of Allowing with Grace toward the soul the quiet, enduring part of us that is shaped not by outcomes, but by how we meet our lives over time.

In this Kitchen Talk episode, we explore how good sportsmanship with life supports true soul growth: the kind that doesn’t rush, doesn’t perform, and doesn’t require constant proof of progress.

Rather than measuring success by achievement or certainty, listeners are invited to consider how patience, humility, and presence deepen the soul’s capacity for wisdom, resilience, and trust.

Set within the Yule season of personal catabasis, this reflection reframes soul progress as coherence rather than perfection, and maturity as the ability to stay in relationship with life through both wins and losses.

Week One · Day Five brings the practice of Allowing with Grace into the emotional body where many of us learned to analyze, suppress, justify, or perform our feelings in order to stay safe or acceptable.

In this Kitchen Talk episode, we explore how emotions often become over-managed rather than witnessed, and how this habit turns ordinary feelings into sources of shame, confusion, or exhaustion.

Instead of demanding insight, resolution, or meaning, listeners are invited to practice good sportsmanship with their inner experience by allowing emotions to arise, move, and pass without interrogation.

Set within the Yule season of personal catabasis, this reflection reframes emotional maturity not as control, but as trust…. Trust  in movement, timing, and the body’s natural capacity to metabolize feeling.

Allowing with Grace When the Day Doesn’t Match the Expectation.

This Kitchen Talk episode continues Week One of the Yule season, exploring Allowing with Grace through the lens of expectation, especially on days that carry meaning, memory, or pressure to feel a certain way.

Holidays often arrive layered with images of how things are supposed to look or feel. When reality doesn’t match those expectations, many of us turn disappointment inward, confusing mismatch with personal failure.

In this episode, we talk honestly about what it means to practice good sportsmanship with life when the day doesn’t deliver what we imagined.

Rather than fixing, reframing, or forcing meaning, listeners are invited to stay present with the day they’re actually living without self-judgment or performance.

Good Sportsmanship: Learning How to Succeed at Being Human

This episode marks Week One, Day One of a thirteen-week journey rooted in Allowing with Grace the foundation of all meaningful reparenting work.

In this opening reflection, we explore good sportsmanship beyond the playing field and into real life: how we receive lessons when we’re tired, humbled, frustrated, or facing outcomes we didn’t choose.

While many of us learned sportsmanship in childhood, few of us were taught what it looks like in adulthood when success no longer means winning, but finding steadiness, coherence, and a sense of home inside ourselves.

This episode reflects on why we care about sportsmanship at all: because every human is seeking success in mind, body, and soul.

As the body seeks homeostasis, the mind seeks meaning and when life stops making sense, we often confuse learning with failure. Through lived experience, contemplation, and gentle practice, this episode reframes learning as a lifelong skill that requires cultivation, humility, and grace.

Set within the winter season as a personal catabasis, this episode introduces the idea of conscious descent: cleaving away what no longer serves and continuing our education in what actually matters as life changes.

Listeners are offered a contemplative question and a simple, embodied practice to begin the week and are invited to walk this 13-week season alongside others through shared reflection and lived experience.

Allowing with  Grace begins the cycle because nothing else can take hold until we learn how to meet reality without force.

In this overview episode, we explore what it means to allow experience honestly and kindly, without resignation or self-judgment, and why this capacity is the foundation of all reparenting work.

Throughout this week, short daily reflections will apply this virtue to everyday moments where we often rush, override, or react  offering gentle, practical shifts that help us become a safer place to live inside.

This season is not about fixing or performing change, but about walking differently  one moment at a time  through mind, body, and soul.

Listeners are invited to walk the season alongside this unfolding at CrowsCupboard.com, sharing reflections, questions, and voices as part of an intentional digital community.

This episode opens the path.

The practice begins here.

Episode 3: Walking the Descent Together

Open

This episode opens an annual season of personal catabasis, observed each year from December 20 through March 22  a time for reparenting from the roots rather than managing life from the branches.

While this ritual returns every year, this season is different.

It is being walked more intimately, more honestly, and in real time.

Instead of offering instruction or answers, this episode invites listeners into a shared journey of witnessing what unfolds as the descent begins.

In the episodes that follow, the season will be explored as it lives  through reflection, noticing, and the slow work of tending what asks for care beneath the surface.

This is not a program to complete, but a rhythm to inhabit.

Listeners are warmly invited to walk alongside, to reflect, respond, and share their voices as the season unfolds at CrowsCupboard.com.

Everybody has something to discover, and something worth saying.

This episode opens the door.

The walk continues.

Yule: What Begins at the Root

Yule marks the longest night and the quiet turning toward light.

In this episode, I share a personal reflection from within a 318 day journey of reparenting myself from the roots rather than managing life from the branches.

This is a contemplation of the season of sitting honestly with what feels long, of learning to trust timing again, and of tending the inner fire without trying to rush the dark.

Through the lens of Yule and the guidance of the cosmic mother, this reading invites listeners into their own gentle catabasis: not to fix or resolve, but to stay present with what is becoming beneath the surface.

This episode is part of an intentional digital community - a shared garden where balance, harmony, and reciprocity are practiced together. Listeners are invited to reflect, respond, and join the conversation at CrowsCupboard.com.

The night is long.

The turning has begun.

Mother’s Night: Returning to the Roots
Mother’s Night comes before the turning of the year.

In this opening episode, I share a reflection shaped by a 317-day journey of reparenting myself as an intimate act of self-love a descent to the roots rather than another attempt to manage life from the branches.

This is a seasonal reading about endurance, lineage, and the quiet work that allows life to continue.

It honors the Mothers  human and cosmic  who teach us how to tend what sustains us when spectacle fades and urgency no longer serves.

There is no instruction here, and nothing to fix.
Only an invitation to pause, to remember whose endurance made your life possible, and to consider what in your own life is ready for care at the root.

Listeners are warmly invited to share reflections, questions, and voices at CrowsCupboard.com, and to join future episodes as guests.

 Everyone has something to say.

This episode begins the season.

Yule follows.
