Battery Bargains is back! It's been some time, but we are back to help you shortcut the search for your perfect electric vehicle.

In Episode 55, we’re hunting down incredible value in the used market and answering your specific EV buying questions:

The Avalon Successor: What do you buy when your 2004 Toyota Avalon finally reaches the end of the road? We find a "basically new" electric cruiser with 300+ miles of range and ultra-fast charging for under $25,000.

Tesla Software Alternatives: A Mustang Mach-E owner loves their car but misses the Tesla tech. We look at the best software-forward alternatives available for under $30k.

The Kia EV9 "Lemon" Gamble: Used EV9 prices are dropping fast, especially for manufacturer buybacks. We discuss the risks of the ICCU issue, warranty transfers, and whether these "lemons" are actually the best deal on the market.

Have a request? Email us your needs and budget, and you might be featured in a future episode!

Porsche’s new Cayenne EV sets a fresh benchmark for luxury electric SUVs with blistering acceleration, remarkable range, and ultra-fast charging technology, but faces slow adoption due to it's price We also break down Jeep’s upcoming Recon EV—a rugged, trail-rated electric SUV debuting in 2026—highlighting its impressive off-road features but questioning its charging limitations and lack of a Tesla NACS plug. Plus: the latest on KGM’s affordable Aussie ute, Hyundai’s wild Crater concept, industry awards for the best home EV chargers, and a discussion on the future balance between BEVs and plug-in hybrids.
Tesla’s Cybertruck ended 2024 as America’s most popular EV truck. But more recent monthly registration data show that growth slowing down. Plus, reports this week suggest that discounts are rising and factory workers are being moved off the Cybertruck lines as demand hasn’t met expectations. So where does that leave Tesla’s innovative and controversial pick-up truck? After a year on sale can we call it a success or a failure yet? And what will 2025 look like with the federal tax credit now in place for lower price versions and indications that cheaper models are on the way?
In this special episode, Tom and Domenick sit down with William Reid, Chairman and CEO of Rove Charging, and Jeff Toon, Rove Charging Co-Founder and VP of E-mobility & Charging Infrastructure.
They ask how the company was born, what this initial charging hub site offers EV drivers, some of the technical electrical details, and if it can actually be profitable.
A special interview with GM Energy Chief Revenue Officer Aseem Kapur discussing the company's vehicle-to-home (V2H) system with PowerBank battery storage.
We discuss the elements of GM Energy's suite of V2H and storage products, including the PowerShift Charger, the Home V2H Enablement Kit, and PowerBank.

On today's show, we talk about Enel leaving customers high & dry as they exit the North American market, the arrival of a more affordable Chevrolet Equinox, Ionna breaking ground on its first "Rechargery," Ford giving EV buyers an 80 amp charger with installation, GM's very great sales in the 3rd quarter, driving the Genesis G80 Electrified and BMW i7, and much more!
On today's show: ⦁ the Tesla Superchargers opening to General Motors EVs ⦁ 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV DC Fast Charging Analysis ⦁ Tom graphs Kia EV9 GT-Line charge curve ⦁ Alpitronic officially opening its US headquarters ⦁ Terawatt to supply infrastructure for LA to El Paso heavy duty electric truck corridor and, of course, much, much more!
On this show, we'll recommend an EV for a viewer tired of troubles with his Porsche Taycan, an underwater Nissan LEAF owner looking for a nicer ride, and a Canadian shopping for a second electric. A few days ago, Tesla CEO fired the executive in charge of its Supercharger network and most of the people working for her, throwing the entire industry into a state of confusion.  We talk about that decision and what we've learned about it since. We also talk about driving the Acura ZDX and other EV news of the week. But, mostly about the Tesla Supercharger network.
This week on Battery Bargains we help three more viewers find their perfect electric vehicle.
