Hosts Amie Just and Erin Sorensen hit the ground running and covered a lot of volleyball on opening weekend. Literally.

Between Arlington, Las Vegas and Sioux Falls, we saw 10 preseason Top 25 teams in person, including Nebraska, Texas, SMU, Florida, Penn State, Creighton, Arizona State, USC, Minnesota and TCU.

They compare notes on what stood out, why Creighton looked so different from Saturday to Sunday, what Nebraska showed against Texas and which teams they're still trying to figure out. Amie also breaks down what worked — and what didn't — at Spikes Under the Lights before sharing her conversation with three-time Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings.

Welcome to Six Zone Duo, a new show covering women’s volleyball across the country (and one day soon, beyond). Hosts Erin Sorensen and Amie Just cover the action from Nebraska, one of the epicenters of the sport, but in case that's confusing: The Huskers will be part of the story here, but just one piece of a national puzzle. In our first episode, Erin and Amie talk through the first weekend of the season, discuss what intrigues them moving forward, and share their hopes for what this show can bring to the rapidly growing volleyball world.
