Hey guys, what's up? Welcome to the latest edition of the rad cast here is the rad cast news. It's Friday, September 9th, 22 tickle box central here at the rad cast. No, we are punchy. Yes. You have your your adult punch therapy today. We recorded a little later than normal, uh, or maybe we did. Maybe we didn't. Maybe this is, you know, the morning beverage, but yeah, now it cheers to the coin. Yeah, if we'd recorded on time, she'd still be with us. This is a dark joke. Yeah, it was a dark joke. It's fine for you. Yeah, and listen, I can go there. Uh, but yeah, Queen Elizabeth II dies at age 96. She's wild. She was like second, long time, longest serving monarch. She was 70 years. Wow. Yeah, it's a long time to do anything. She was crowned and she was 25, which is the same age that Leo would have stopped dating her. So if you listen last week, Leonardo DiCaprio, Quits on Quits on those lovers at 25, but for some interesting context, Queen Elizabeth has been or was alive for 30% of American history, which is in. That's kind of the stat right there about. Yeah. She got to see a lot of our ups and downs, you know, to be sure. No, more ups and downs, but, but a lot of history. And speaking of history, today's are weekly marking and advertising news edition. Indeed, wherever, however, whenever you are, we're just out of all order here. We don't. That Queen news was kind of breaking news. So kind of needed to break in before even all the intros. So I like it. I don't like the Queen past. I think it's sad. I've never been like a monarch junkie or anything like that, but like. I get to recognize the significance. It's a big deal. It is. Another big deal, literally, physically, Twitter and Elon Musk are going to go into the octagon on October. It is officially said for October. Musk has been trying to get it pushed back, but the lawyers of Twitter will not allow it. We'll not stand for it. Yeah. 44 billion. Is that what? I don't know how this is going to play out. Twitter's. I thought Twitter had a good argument. Yeah. You know, for a while, the whistleblower comes out and you know, they've got like all these platforms have some amount of fraud or spam or whatever going on. So I don't know how they're going to defend that. There's probably proof of it. Right. And I and I don't really know that they can help it, per se. They're just going to be bad actors and bots and everything else. So that's going to be fascinating to watch. It's like. Yeah, I care and I don't at the same time. It's kind of like when you think about it. Like I think about like if you're going to get married and suddenly someone didn't want to marry you, but someone still did. And they're like, we're going to hold you to this. I feel like it's kind of like like an episode of Andy Griffith, like this one family, like didn't want the sun to marry this daughter, because it was they were rivaling families in the Rocky Mountains. And, you know, that's exactly who it was. Thank you. Thank you. You know Andy Griffith. You grew up in the South. I did. That's great show. It's still there. It was so good. Oh, Barney five. Oh, but you know, on the same level, Twitter and Musk is the. The modern day, the modern day had built in McCoy's. Yes. It will be fascinating how this plays out. Yes, truly, truly. I could see an argument for both sides, but when you don't want to buy the company anymore, I think what it's coming down to, the reason they're holding them to it, they just want to get the billion dollar fee. Okay, fine. You don't want to. We'll take a billion dollar store bottom line. Right. I think that's really all this is coming down to. And so yeah, we'll see how it goes in the battle of Twitter's history ownership. And tweet that in some. Rad news of everyone enjoyed our re-release of Will Ahmed from whoop founder of whoop, the most advanced, most popular fitness wearable wearable wearable. It's an interesting word. Yeah, just a wearable. There were no other things tracking. Um, but anyway, really good episode. Will is great, really insightful. A lot of, yeah, a lot of great knowledge on small, small business, large, but running a business, being an entrepreneur. And what it took to kind of get whoop, where it is some of the history, some of the things that have already transpired quite frankly, they're blowing up. And great to have him on. And again, we'll, we'll re-imension, think billions, the event coming up on Nick and I'll be on the road for October 21st of the 23rd, go to think billions dot club, learn more about that. It's all a bit. Look, thinking bigger, acting bigger, I mean, acting, just acting like, you know, you know, you're ready to take the next step. This is like, just do it. You know, we talk about it's successful people that are ready to like really take the top off. And this isn't for people that are trying to get there. There's a lot of events for those. I've been to many of them, please believe me. And, but this is for really high-notch people that have already had a minimum amount of success and they really want to come and learn how to think billions, how to think bigger, how to really play on a higher plane than they have been. And it's going to be a great event where we do lots of interviews there and be involved with that with Howard Payne's and his teams were excited for that October 21st through the 23rd come to the site, learn all about it and you can apply. There is an application that sounds hoity-toity is not meant to be that way. But the reality is this is a small event. This is at 10,000 people in an auditorium. This is maybe 100 people total at a castle, a large home in Palm Desert, California. So we hope you will check it out. And if the shoe fits, you need to wear it. Think billions, think billions dot club. And speaking of other things you need to check out, branded bills, official merchandising, merchandise provider, excuse me, of the Radcast. Christine is our lovely model today, holding up one of our many, yes. The Navy is my favorite, maybe in all of probably. Yeah, good color. Yes, you know, over the head. Yeah, exactly. Go check them out. Our good friends at brand of bills dot com. That's what news today. We do. We've got some social media news. First, I'm excited about this because I've wanted this for a long time. Tweet editing is here with live testing now active in the app. Tweets will be editable. Another fun word within the first 30 minutes of following their publication. This is designed to limit the capacity for people to update viral tweets in retrospect because you won't know just how much reach a tweet will eventually get within the first half hour. About damn time. Yeah. I got to tell you. I don't you I'm on Twitter. I used to use a lot. I have like 10,000 followers. I don't know how I still do because like literally I tweet once a month. Maybe I've got I'm getting better. But this will maybe you want to tweet more. I always thought this is the dumbest thing. It was so annoying. I mean, I would so many tweets. Yeah, we're like I wrote the wrong thing or I didn't finish. I was going to say or I want it like it's just something. I never understood why you couldn't edit it. It was that like real time kind of mindset. Yeah, I get it. And it's definitely not edible. It's because when I first read the article, you very carefully spelled that out. It did. Right. Correct. But I was like it was not edible. So I'm not so do want to eat some tweets. You know, this next one is no surprise. TikTok has been voted the most innovative ad platform in a brand new survey. The study incorporated a response from over 18,000 consumers and 900 senior marketers, which also found that consumers view TikTok ads as the most fun and entertaining while TikTok also increased its overall trust score among marketers this time around. Are we surprised? No, you know, like is it innovative for though or is it just it's just the most it's the fastest growing. And so it's like they got to give it someone. They were awarded to Facebook or Instagram. And the algorithm is better, isn't it? It's better for organic content. That's why you know, like most innovative platform would have I've probably would have been there when they but the ad the ad games improved a lot by the way. But I don't know just because the content is interesting doesn't mean they add platforms. It's been kind of a pain they asked to use into the last like very recently. Yeah. So you know, just because the ads themselves are entertaining right doesn't mean platform itself, but just because the survey says doesn't mean no, but look, I mean, it's just another sign TikToks, you know, here's day, making a big dent. And it's a good place to be for the right ads. And what I think what I think they've done well is early on educating brands. The type of content that works and doesn't work on there. And I think so thus the ads typically are a little better because people learn real quick, you can't just throw a 30 second spot on TikTok. You get swiped city. You know, it's gone. And so no one's watching that. And so I think brands learn that early on and thus the content's been better. Sure. And then the ad buying has gotten better. So we'll see where it goes on to our marketing news. I don't know how I feel about this apple promotes a bigger iPhone screen to accommodate streaming and gaming. The standard iPhone 14. I can't believe we're at 14 comes in two sizes. The popular 6.1 inch design and a new plus version with a 6.7 inch screen that's intended to better accommodate video streaming and gaming just by an iPad. Yeah, I mean, here's what I'll say about this. Really don't relate it. It's difficult. I do watch the commercials with the folding Samsung. And I'm like, that's pretty cool because you can fold it up. Look, I loved my flip. And it gets out of the way. Yeah, you know, so like you get that big huge screen while you're watching, but it folds up like a phone. So it's not gigantic. Like, you know, annoying. You hear us apple. We want to. So yeah, I would love an apple. Now I would never get one because no matter how much how sexy it looks, just iPhones, though, it's just so much better. Sorry. And then I'll give you Android people are going to text me how much. Sorry. Keep it. The point is there's been little innovation in the in the design of the form, the form factor of the phones long time. Yeah. And so just going a little bigger. You know, I mean, what was it before the plus? They had a plus size last year. Yeah. Well, the 6.5. I mean, that 0.2. It's something like that. It's what I have. I don't know, but it's it's large. Yeah, we'll see. And I get it. Look, everyone's watching movies, different things. If you're going to do it, you want a bigger screen, but a tablet or it's folding Sam something out. It's like all they can do is make them bigger. We'll see. Next up, starburst beams tick tox into space to engage Gen Z from now until October 14th, tick tox users can create a video that asks, how do they make starbursts taste so juicy? With hashtag beam it up starburst for a chance for the video to be beamed into space via a partnership with space speak. Gen Z is the cohort most interested in space. 63% of Gen Z is interested over the average US 49%. Well, when you make two things, I really like when you say beam it up. I mean, they go star track. And then starbursts, which I really like. I mean, you have a winner on your hands. It's fun anyway. It's it's a lot of fun. And they actually beam it up. Yes, I did wonder why it was always so juicy. What's your favorite starburst flavor? Strawberry. See, I like the orange ones like a psychopath. I like the orange. I'm a equal. The only ones I don't necessarily love are yellow ones. Sure. I don't know why that yellow and everything is, you know, like yellow. I love women anything. Lemon. I'll pass on that. You know, it's good candy. Pizz. Flavored chalk. Really? Yeah, you know, Nick's. Nick. Come on. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, the toys are fun. Yeah, candy. It's it's chalk. No, it's tasty goodness. They have like special kinds too. Oh, yeah, I like to get the old like I wonder let's get a rad cast. Yes. Oh, yeah. You need a Ryan Pez dispenser. Challenge accepted. Challenge accepted. I think that happened. Oh, man. I do like this. Hey, look, it's the exact user group. Do it in the exact type of content you should. I had no idea that Ginzie was so interested in space. But hey, okay. All right. While we're on our candy kick, Snickers kicks off NFL season with a hunt for rookie mistakes. I love this. Newly released Snickers packaging features a QR code that directs consumers to a link to submit their mistakes. This is a play on rookie football players and obviously rookie mistakes. Yeah. I was clever. I want to see I like to know where you go to watch all these though. Like, you know what I've gotten back into is America's funny some videos a little bit. I've been watching that on Sunday nights here and there. You know, like long week. Oh, yeah, long weekend. Sometimes should have been, but sometimes this. Oh, yeah. And it's like put not a little America's foot. Like just some of this dumbest thing ever. And all Alonso's cheesy as hell. But to this thing. Anyway, I like watching. Look, fails are great. That's the same thing, right? Right. Every little fail videos. My kids are being embarrassed. Oh my gosh. And I love America's money. Some videos because you just start laughing. And then you're just like coughing. This is just a play on fails. And they're wrapping around NFL because, you know, so it's fun. This is the official. You give me that QR code and go watch some fails. Snickers. I like to get stickers. I love Snickers. Yeah. I love a good Snickers bar. It's a satisfying. It does. It's the right right next to you. You're not you and you're hungry. No, it used to be always snicker satisfies is that the original campaign back in your day, back in my day. I worked on some of that. The, yeah, it sticks to your teeth a little bit. But man, it's good for you. You know, I will say this. Snickers is the one candy bar that kind of fills me up like a snack. I can and I don't look out because there's some protein. I can't even tell you last time I had a whole full sized chocolate bar. So this should be clear about this. But back in the day when I would eat more candy bars and was a little heftier. The, you know, chocolate bar. You eat that thing and say, oh, delicious. But I can eat it. Snickers is kind of like, you know, a good. Yeah, I think it's the peanuts, maybe. You know, a little protein. Absolutely. You know, a little caramel. So good. Got it. Tom Brady asks Gen Z athletes to ditch toxic comparisons in an under armor ad in the hero spot NFL quarterback Tom Brady asks Morgan Freeman to read a letter he penned to an up and comeer being called the next Tom Brady. Brady's note instructs the recipient to tune out the noise and compare themselves to nobody but the kid in the mirror featuring the tagline be the athlete to no one saw coming. What's a you. I think Tom Brady's starting to get a little more mainstream is what I think I think he's opened up and done more things like last couple of years like. I didn't like you ever saw him in advertising, you know, but now he's about to come out football and it's starting to open up a little bit. So I agree with that Nick. Yeah, he's been doing all kind of videos on social media too. Yeah, remember that one where he hit the golf ball. All in one. Yeah. When I was in New York, like one of my acting coaches worked with him on some commercials said that he like was awful on commercial. So I think that he's probably just loosened up and gotten more comfortable. Well, he's always been a little stiff. Yeah, I mean, I think it's purse personalities. Oh, yeah, just that that's what makes him great to football. He's intense. Intense, but yeah, I don't know. It's fun. Yeah. I mean, it's be the athlete. No one's all coming. Yeah, but he was he was not. He's been playing that violin for quite a while. It's like he's now like the greatest player to all ever play. Right. He's won 27 Super Bowls. So I mean, unreal. You know, he's he's worn that one. He was like a six round draft picker. So yeah. And yeah. So I mean, again, I think it's smart. It is. And he's going to be on TV, probably as an announcer, whatever. So he needs to expand his horizons. Not the people don't know who he is, but maybe just different generations. When you think about it, 20 year olds, they know Tom Brady is because they're still in the NFL, but they don't know it as well as a 35 year old. Right. You know, right. So that's a good point. You got to keep it up there to keep your market ability. If those jeans in there, yeah. And last but not least, Wendy's latest Rick and Morty crossover opens portal to Uber Eats. Are you a Rick and Morty fan? Not really. Yeah, I couldn't get into it. It's a little silly. Yeah. But Wendy is re-upping its partnership with Rick and Morty as the adult swim series enters its sixth season. The tie up this year incorporates an Uber Eats component where the delivery app will feature a special Morty's menu promoting combo meals inspired by the sci-fi comedy. Yeah. I mean, it's right in the lane for when Wendy's needs to be. Right. So I get it. Are you a Rick and Morty watch Rick and Morty? Not really. I didn't seem like your type thing. I could not get into it. I couldn't see you watching that. I couldn't see myself watching it. But there was a big thing with the the Szechuan sauce with McDonald's. I mean, like they have this huge tie with fast food chains, which I think is interesting. Yeah. And I always thought adult swim, you know, it's like going to be like a dirty channel or something. Right. No, I know you do. I saw it. It's like I was Nickelodeon. Oh, it's like this. So weird. What is this? You know, I don't realize it's adult cartoons that, you know, I can't do it, man. You know, I like Simpsons. Yeah, but the Simpsons is like the OG. Yeah. And I like big mouth. Big mouth is the like the one that I enjoy the most because I like the comics. There's maybe one or two others that were pretty good. But I can't think I couldn't get into this one though. The Simpsons versus I used to be like can't miss TV. Right. Sunday night, eight o'clock. That's Simpsons. You know, Bart Simpson. Yeah. Bart Simpson. You watch Bart, you watch Simpsons a little bit, a little bit. That's kind of a little bit of y'all are too young. I don't want you to watch it. Oh, yeah. I didn't. Yeah. I kind of don't plan before. Yeah, for sure, you know, for sure, for sure, for sure, the deep end. So what they call that at all kinds of crossovers. But there's swimmies on you need to watch that there Nick. There you go. Oh, hey, tight 20 minutes, you know, do you have to pick up children? You know, yes, finished that beer. Who know, who know a beer of any final words? I got nothing. Come on. You got tigers. There you go. That place, Furman. And we did win. So that's why I was a drown in my sorrows. That's why I had a beer. Celebration. Clubs of beating Georgia Tech. There you go. Yes. So we wrecked the rambling wreck. My target was one last weekend. So we're doing good. Third quarter. We're doing good. Yeah. Yeah. That was a crazy game. I'm never seen. That was a fun one to watch. I don't know. We were at the lake and going out on the boat or whatever. And it was 3521 going in for a court. I'm like, I thought climate is going to win. That big deal. Like three hours later, I saw the final score. I had to do double take out. It was insane. It was insane. What 63 20 63 61? I was doing the math. I was like, this court 60 points. I know. In the fourth quarter, it's still lost and still did not with crazy. Anyway, there you go. College football season. Yes. And hopefully you enjoyed last night's NFL game. Just in case you DV art it, we're not going to give away the results. So the rams and the bills. So we'll talk about it next week. For Christina Yassi, Nick Weaver, I'm Ryan Offert. We'll see you next time on the Radcast.
