Hardest product and need to study none again.
 You're listening to the Radcast.
If it's radical, we cover it.
 Here's your host, Ryan Alford.
Hey guys, what's up? Welcome to the latest edition of the Radcast is Friday!
September 23rd, 2022 are weekly marketing, advertising and business.
The news of the week. Welcome to the first day of fall.
 Yes, I'm very excited.
It's my season. It's Libra season.
My birthday's coming up. White girl fall.
 The season of Christina.
 Yes.
Oh, I thought I was going to get a kind of a rhyme there.
 The season.
I get the attempt. I'm tracking with Libra.
 What is a Libra?
 Like what image?
 No, I know that.
No, but what's, give me like the, you know, I'm Taurus bull little stubborn.
 I know those.
 Incredibly indecisive.
 But also very fair.
 Indecisive.
 Yes.
 Libra, so it's just starting.
 Start today.
 Okay.
 All right.
 September 23rd through October 22nd, I think.
So if indecisive is kind of like not a great quality.
What's the best quality of a Libra?
It's a very diplomatic and quite charming.
 I've been told.
 Oh.
 Read my lips.
 No.
 I don't know.
 That means I'm a delight.
 I'm a delight.
 I'm kidding.
 Yeah.
 Sort of.
Taurus has also been known for telling lies.
 There it is.
 Yeah.
 I don't know.
I don't get into the planetary things too much.
 It's interesting.
 Anything.
 There's some truths to it.
 Sure.
 Yeah.
 I don't.
 I would say.
 I don't buy into it.
 Hook line and sinker.
 But like.
 Just hook in line.
 Just hook in line.
 Not in the sinker.
 Right.
Your bottom on top of the water.
 But you're in the water.
 I'm in the water.
 I'm holding on to something.
 I'm just not sinking yet.
 Yes.
 Yes.
 So happy fall, y'all.
 There it is.
 Coming from South Carolina.
You're going to hear that and see that.
It was so cute when it first had a first saw.
 That's kind of cute.
 Right.
And now I'm kind of like.
 I hate it.
 Yeah.
 All right.
I don't think that we fall.
 Oh, well, yeah.
But you know, bottom on top of the water.
Yeah, that's quite cultural and I wanna be happy.
And I really wanted to say about
I think she likes, I think we like fogs.
We're football, people, and clumps and people,
and tailgating, and all that stuff.
 It's a fun time.
 It's a good season.
 Yeah.
So yes, it's been a good week here at the agency,
and you had a good week?
We're having a very busy, very tired.
 Yeah.
 How's doing any comedy recently?
 I did.
I was actually in Asheville last night.
 I drove up there.
 How'd that go?
 It was great.
 It was great.
I was listening to Cindy Cassie.
You're going to get on the road and see some comedy.
 Yeah, there you go.
I'll be in Rock Hill, October 21st.
 Okay.
 Yeah.
 Yeah.
 How long is your set?
My full set is about 15 minutes.
 Okay.
I'll be doing 10 in Rock Hill, give or take.
How did it, it was a good response last night?
 Yeah.
I did, like material I wrote two years ago.
And there's a lot of it, like it's about Bob Jones.
So I wanted to see how that would perform in Asheville.
 In Asheville?
 Yeah.
 Did people get it?
 Yeah.
I know you're with it or if they were, they didn't like respond when I said the name
 of the school.
But they understood it was a Christian highly conservative school.
 Yes.
 Yes.
 They did.
 Oh, yeah.
 Yeah.
 So you went well.
 That's cool.
 I'm funny for a girl.
 Scientology.
 Uh-huh.
 I wish.
 Funny for a girl.
 You're just funny.
 Thank you.
 Yeah.
Speaking of funny, I saw this, didn't really necessarily make the news articles, but I'm
going to look, I'm late to the game on Ted Lasso.
Like I've heard about it for four years, three, how long has it been?
 Sure.
And I've known it, but I've kind of been reserving it.
 Sure.
Because we don't have the time to watch a ton of shows.
 Right.
So we kind of, I kind of get up and bank some.
This has been in the bank for a while.
We're on like episode five or six.
 What do you think?
 Oh, it's awesome.
 It's perfect.
 It's, it's, it's, it's the best expected unexpected.
 I don't know.
 Yeah.
 It's, you know, it's great.
I think it's terrific and Ted Lasso actors that don't know Jason Tadekus, yeah, almost
 today.
 Just, he's great.
 He's now a character.
They now have the full team on the 2023 FIFA soccer video game.
I was going to play this game.
Oh, I play as he said.
I just want to be everybody's going to be Ted Lasso.
 Ted and Roy.
 Yeah.
 Oh, God, it's so good.
 So, uh, yes.
 So that's out.
So if you're sure to be a gamer or not a gamer, Ted Lasso, man, I know how you get
 crossover marketing.
 That's it.
 That's how it is.
You know, it's good for the show.
 Good for the game.
 There you go.
How many more copies of the game might they sell because of the last look?
 I would do it.
You know, that's speaking of celebrity endorsements and crossover, Brad Pitt has a new
 face line.
 Yes.
Are you going to try it?
We got to see if we can get you some.
It does say that it's genderless.
 Yes.
 I'm, I'm actually a male, so I can't, I have to use, I can't use it because I'm a male.
You have to be, you have to be a genderless and, yeah, I feel like you're missing that.
 But, uh, okay.
 That's so open-minded of you.
Wait, I love that you're holding space.
Uh, I thought it was just for confused people.
 Yeah.
 Sign me up.
 Yeah.
 I'm not confused.
Personally, you know, I just, I love when celebrities come out with skincare brands
because it's like, right, you look this way because of lotion and not because of, like,
you know, lots of surgery and human growth hormone.
 Yeah.
 Whatever that is.
Hey, give me whatever he's got.
 He looks pretty good.
 He's always been handsome.
 Oh, I know.
 So good.
He does, you know, especially because he smoked, I mean, he was a smoker for probably like,
 I don't know.
It's basically going to tell me.
He was smoked for 20 years, because the same like 10 year, I mean, he would, you'd see
him all sets and do stuff like, he was obviously for a while and he's recovered nicely.
 I would say so.
 Or never had to.
You know, and a lot of you, I know that smoked or smoke heavily and it's become almost
 faux pas now.
It's probably the way with vaping and everything else.
I guess people are doing it.
It's not, you know, cigarettes, but the smoke blowing in your face, have a little bit
 of a grit.
 We're in terror.
 Yeah.
 The Marb, the Marb room.
 Yes.
 The old Seinfeld.
 Yes.
Kramer smoking cigars like for just a month straight around the smoke and he turned into
 an old man.
 It's quite funny.
Anyway, Le Domain is Brad Pitt's skincare line and, you know, I see these kinds of things
come out and I assume kind of like, you know, you see the number like Kardashians stuff,
 like billions of dollars.
I mean, I assume Brad's face line will do wonderfully.
 I mean, right?
 Yeah.
Would you buy it or try it with skincare?
I would wait and see like reviews and if it's good, absolutely, but I'm not just going
to buy it because it's Brad Pitt.
And because it says Le Domain.
 Le Domain.
 Le Domain.
 Le Domain.
 I can't do French.
 I don't know.
 I can't.
 Yeah.
 I can't do French.
 I don't know.
 Yeah.
 I can't.
 I can't do French.
 I don't know.
 Yeah.
 I can't.
 I can't do French.
 Yeah.
He never gets any push the movies are beautiful women never dated tried to women.
 Yeah.
 Yeah.
 Yeah.
 So good luck to Brad.
Hopefully that works off for him.
The speaking of working out on some level, I have signed up for an app called The Wisdom
 app.
You need to check it out.
 It's cool.
I saw this on your on Instagram.
 Yeah.
 It's pretty cool.
I've gotten some really random questions.
 I haven't answered yet.
I've got probably like 12 questions.
What's the weirdest when you've gotten?
 Can you tell us?
No, I know weird ones a lot.
I'm pretty thoughtful like if you could tell yourself something 20 years ago, what would
 you tell yourself?
 Sure.
 And stuff like that.
And I'm going to actually, I've got to get my adapter for my, I have a USB podcast.
Mike, I didn't want, I was being a little, I didn't want to just talk into the phone
and it not sound like profession right?
 Right.
 Right.
It's getting saved on the Instawebs forever.
 Sure, sure.
 That's great.
Once I get my adapter, I'm going to go and answer a lot of the questions that are there.
 But it's pretty cool.
So Wisdom.audio is how you download that.
 Pretty cool.
They sent me a invite for that.
So I'm verified over there, which just means you know it's me.
And you can actually click on, if you search for me, Ryan offered on the app, you can
 find it.
And then you'll see on some of my stories and stuff, I'm going to post where you can ask
 me a question.
Yes, they have that on Instagram and stuff like that.
And I've done those, but what's cool about this is I'll answer it by voice and you'll
get a notification and you don't have to have that, you don't have to have the app to
ask the questions and get sent, I guess, like a notification with my response, but of
course, I want you to download the app, but can you save the response or yeah, it saves
in my profile under the question asked and then my answer.
If I want to save it and then it has some legs.
I think to me, it's a smarter version of clubhouse to be quite frankly, because it's like,
you record certain answers, you short form audio, like is really what it's about.
I mean, they certainly have longer live talks and things, but I like what I see so far.
I think it's got some possibilities.
So I'm going to play around with it and see how it goes.
And if it, if I don't just get tired of it, like six months, like any other apps or
forget about it, but just keeping it real here, folks, you know, but it looks pretty cool
enough that I'm giving it a shot.
So check it out, wisdom.audio, you'll download it on your phone.
And I do think there's pretty some pretty interesting possibilities with it.
So take a look at that.
Other radcast news, we have Sean Maryman next week, great episode with him.
 Tuesday.
 Yeah.
 X NFL all pro.
He's involved in three to four brands.
 Really good guy.
 Um, it was great.
I mean, he's, he's doing a podcast other, I mean, extremely well spoken and like getting
after it, like in like three or four different things and his lights out brand is incredible.
 Yeah.
 That was.
It's like, you have to see, he started with the peril and fit to stuff.
And now he's like it, he's kind of like the minor leagues of UFC kind of like fighters
 before they make it UFC.
 Sure.
 He's got a whole promotion.
 He's out there.
He talked about that and talked about his business.
He had a life insurance company.
 He's out there everywhere.
And what's so funny about these NFL guys?
 He played.
He's an all pro for like six, eight years.
 And he's 38.
I mean, the guy looks 25 like, you know, some of these NFL guys, you think about all
they retired and it seems like a long time ago, like for me, because he retired in like
2013, almost 10 years ago, the guy looks, yo, I mean, I know they took a lot of, I'm sure
 their bones hurt.
 Right.
 Right.
 Right.
Or they look, but you know, it's like crazy.
 Yeah.
Millions of dollars and retired and there's a lot of examples that didn't make that.
But he's turned his, what's interesting and we had this discussion about how he's turned,
you know, his leverage and his fame into these businesses immediately.
And I think some people make that transition faster than others.
 Yeah.
So we just kind of wait and then go back to and then some people he said just can never
recover because the highs of playing in the pros, like just everything that comes with
it, the structure and everything else, a lot of people struggle coming out of it like.
It almost sounds like, I mean, like what you just said reminds me of people who come out
 of the military.
 That's it.
I use that exact analogy with him and he said, yes, it's somewhere to that, like just not
having that boundary, but the structure, the camaraderie, yeah.
And then of course, the high on game day of, you know, 70,000 people square, you know,
like the combination of all of those things.
 So yeah.
So Sean Maryman looked for that episode next week on the podcast Tuesday.
 Check it out.
We had a good relief re-release this week with Christopher Lockehead.
If you're starting a business, you need to get a listen to that episode.
One of the most insightful guys, you know, there's few people in my ear in this business
any longer just because there's a lot of noise out there, but Christopher Lockehead is firmly
in my like pantheon of greats in marketing and business in general.
And so you need to check that out.
 So many nuggets in that.
So that released this past Tuesday.
So if you didn't listen to that, give this shot.
And speaking of giving a shot, you need to give a shot to our official merchandise sponsor.
And though it's not a liquor, it's, it is brand of bills, brand of bills dot com.

 It like Heather Gray.
 Yes.
 Yes.
 Okay.
 Not Rebecca.
 It's the Heather Elite.
 What color would Heather be?
 Heather?
 Like as a person.
 Blonde?
 I think blonde too.
 I don't know why.
I had a dance teacher named Heather, who was blonde.
So I always think of that.
 I don't, I mean, I'd known some Heather's long way, but it's been a while.

successful entrepreneurs and go to think billions dot club, you'll get a lot more details.
But let me tell you, this is where big deals are happening.
 We didn't call it millions.
We call it billions for a reason.
average net worth is in like seven eight figures minimum and so you need to come
hang out we need to make some deals happen and you know what we're gonna be
recording episodes of the radcast for some of the guests that are going to be
there so sign up I think billions dot club exciting we got some social media
holidays indeed as we mentioned first day of fall but it is also the lesser
known holiday of national checkers day checker I really know her that's that's
the stick that was why I put it in here show us the national checkers day you
know my kids like checkers yeah I'm more of a chess guy I was gonna ask you
that's right but now the kids are getting into chess now they like it was
first checkers now they're learning to play chess and natural progression yeah
and so it's cool I mean I have a lot of fun there like growing up like
checkers like if you say it to me I think two things number one the failed
burger franchise that was in green yeah that's right oh my god pretty good
french fries great french fries yes yes I'm not sure about anything else and
they have right the first ones that have little drive-throughs yeah you
couldn't go inside the checkers no just a drive-through it seemed odd it was
like seemed odd back in the day no you can't go in they always have just drive-through
WWE toys I don't know why I remember that but I don't remember that but I do
remember the fries so that and then of course checkers playing growing up and
playing and thinking I was king me yeah you know yeah so national checkers
day is today get your checkers out and play the hell out of there you go tomorrow
national ghost hunting day yeah man you live in ghosts I believe there are
spirits among us I don't think that we can probably see them or hear them but
sure I think there's probably something going on there but I don't believe in
any of these ghosts like yeah I do think some houses can have some bad
car of bad cheating I think there's truth to that because I've felt yeah
walking in some places before and I know why there's some kind of energy going
on but I don't really believe that ghouls and goblins are like walking a
month among us per se but I do think there's just too many I don't know I don't
there's there's too much unexplained yeah I think I probably started believing
UFOs all shit I've been reading anyway another day in the episode Sunday the
25th National I got to celebrate the National Lobster Day man I'll look
some I don't think I've ever had lobster I like seafood though
you gotta have lobsters like I like the okay I talk about it we talk about
food all the time and so lobsters like one of the great treasures of
with loblo lobster lightly you know steamed yeah a little butter like there's
like it's like heaven on earth you know yeah yeah I have never I have never had
like a or a lobster roll oh my god oh my god never so there's a good
lot a good lobster roll yeah you had me in hell of like like literally unlimited
like I could eat them every day yeah okay never get tired of them okay I would
never want to live in Maine it's too cold it's too far north but if there was
one place I might would live be up there was a main lobsters like just hugging
them and hanging out before you eat but that probably thing is I'd have like pet
lobsters but then I'd eat them you know like I love you buddy vicious cycle but
you're gonna taste good on my roll so Sunday the 25th national lobster day the
26 this is a good day today I have I do like pancakes the offer to house might
break some records on the poundage of of pancake mix that we go through chocolate
pancake split they're just plain baby plain baby with like butter and syrup
butter and syrup yeah and the kids everybody likes pancakes and you know
baking and pancakes frequent the offer home quite a bit on the weekend especially
oh yeah it's like these kids expecting pancakes you know so I'm a pretty good
pancake maker I love I'm a much better I'm a much better pancake maker than a
cold well you were a sous chef yes I was but pancakeing takes a little technique to
it technique yeah you know all the risks you don't and you don't want it you
got to know in the flip them no one to hold on no one to fold and you gotta have
that brutal just warm enough and not too high to get burned and it doesn't even
look that burned it tastes burned yeah like it's not golden brown if it's a
little too golden it tastes burnt yep sorry to Chris and I'll send that shit back
I'll be like I've gotten it a table did it it looks okay yeah but I know I'll take
one little note take that back and I'm about that guy usually with stuff like
sending back but pancakes you don't want to burn do you think it's better than a
good pancake and then a burnt pancake true being terrible the fine thin line yeah
pancakes and lobsters this weekend there you go Sunday Sunday Monday happy fall
pancake day here at the office you know yeah I can do it make it for everyone there's your
social holidays yes onto our social media news got some fun little articles YouTube outlines a
new monetization program for shorts creators we knew this was coming beginning in 2023 creators
who have at least a thousand subscribers and draw a minimum of 10 million shorts views over a
90 day period can apply for YPP and perks therein such as monetization from across shorts and long
form videos yes I saw this and I think you're gonna see more and more of this where you know
they're gonna have to I made the analogy or comparison of like programming you know who gets paid
like yeah they pay millions of dollars for these shows to get produced and then were the creators
or anyone that puts content to social media and I think you're gonna see more more
competition for the best creators and so they've got to pay them and a thousand subscribers does
not seem high as in like entrance number entry number for this no but 10 million shorts use
or 90 I mean that's yeah that's significant that's significant but I think you're gonna see more and
more monetization type changes like in different things like do you think that will just
opinion do you think that that will increase the quality of content or decrease it like
if people sell out or do you think that it will like in I think I think in the short term it would
increase you know it's like everybody's kind of a TV station now we're all TV stations like and
there's gonna be there's a taste for different things but now there's set of what 100 TV stations
right every person like there's billion billion people and like so there's a lot of different
tastes and a lot of different niches it's gonna you're gonna see this niching down which is kind of
back to what we had flavors last week where yeah cooking stuff and content creators there and
there but you know I can see people getting paid for doing that and that's a channel with then
you know like it does so I think yeah but I think in the short term it'll get better but you
know to get the views you got to the content has to be no matter what we think is good or bad
if it's getting that many views yeah it's grabbing attention yeah I just don't know like there's
a formula to this stuff like my kids watch these YouTube videos like demos and like
watching other people play video games was kind of a twitch thing obviously but and I mean
it's just crazy but there is kind of a formula to all of it yeah absolutely some staging on some
levels you know Jake Paul fascinating all right what else we got we've got so be real which we've
talked about a lot not a ton to report but they are considering adding paid features as opposed to
advertisements which I think is an interesting twist just on the monetization aspect of it yeah
it is a free like there is none of that right now yeah so am I reading this right I didn't read
as much report like you're you pay for the features in the app yes okay yes like editing aspects of
it filter is things like that yeah that's interesting I think it goes back to show like what is
this platform is this creation platform or is this gonna be truly social media because if you're
paying to create you're going down the avenue of a creator creation platform a you know but if it's
if it's social I think that this makes more sense for them because if it's a purely social app and
you end up with the like you know what having to watch a video or something like I'm yeah and it's
all like timed yeah I would get annoyed and delete the app yeah I don't know so we'll see I'm
we'll see it's an interesting turn or they don't want to compete yeah another long term they can't
compete with TikTok and somebody's gonna buy a Facebook is for probably if they get and they may
be able to scale already to be bought they've data and stuff yeah we'll see how it goes but that's
it for a social media yeah this next one on to our marketing news I thought this was a fascinating
number retail media makes up 11% of global ad spend this year's retail media spend represents 18
percent of global digital advertising and 11 percent of total advertising the the study was
done by group M and they estimate that retail advertising will increase roughly 60% and reach
160 billion dollars by 2027 I mean pandemics over uh-huh you know so uh this is the pendulum like
pendulum swing hardcore swinging either way and they need people back in the stores and whether
that's online or offline I imagine retail makes up both uh but foundation of a lot of retail
still brick and mortar for some and so nine times out of 10 that's the preferred like if you have
that option that's preferred yeah and so they got a you know they've got it they're gonna be
competing even if you know you see dips and other things like you've got to get competitive again
because what you see and I've noticed this whether it's retail stores or restaurants there's
still some that are that have hung on hung on hung on they're closing yep even in greenville we've
seen some of this like some restaurants that yeah historically have been great yeah but
with labor costs and food costs and like other things competition like the competition like
they're still and I think so thus these retailers you know that have made it to come on the other
side of it have got to get things back out there and continue to elevate their brand and then
promote you know right different station you know so you know 160 billion yeah it's a lot of money
and 2027 is not that far away no it sounds like a long time ago long time far far away
galaxy in 2027 kind of does sound like an old Star Wars date you know four years now four four
and some change yeah yeah yeah up next we have some food it'll be old it'll be 30 I will I will
tool for Leo yeah I've been joking that I'm almost 34 years so it but we've got some food news
yes Carl juniors hardies you hardies fan I use some hardies I used to eat the breakfast I like
I like the best biscuits before people kind of got a little better at biscuits like everybody
got a little better at them that's it that's the market like we had the best biscuits
sausage but that better hardies breakfast back in the day when I grew up you went there for
sausage biscuit biscuit and gravy telling you you know this I know you wonder how I'm not 400 pounds
talking about but but they're refreshing daily workouts and lots of HGH it's Brad fits skincare
that's what he is don't like I don't take HGH but hardies is refreshing the brand identity with flavor
as the inspiration the new design system is inspired by the brand's flavors and ingredients
including a made over happy star logo and other design elements that are textured to invoke
char broiled burgers a bold color palette and impactful typography this is so fun yeah I mean
what did you see in the logo it is look they've got to stand out that I think the biggest problem
that hardies have has had over the years and the reason they're not on my radar number one
you forget them I forget them the market there's just nothing really stand out about it I get
hardies and Wendy's and my kids always want to go to McDonald's right because they love happy
meals and I think they put crack in the food and I'm joking it's a joke they're addicted to your
happy meals the uh and then if I want like a bird like a fast food burger flamethrower old burger
king pretty good not that stand out either but if I'm gonna choose the best burger there are
Wendy's probably and so like hardies is kind of like the lat the you know the odd man out I don't
eat that much but personally I don't need much fast food yeah my kids eat McDonald's about once
a week we limited we limited to that um not counting hotcake Friday uh with with the older boys
we do hotcake Friday McDonald's if you're out there charty been sponsoring us 175 school Fridays
in a row we made until the pandemic we've picked it back up literally back on it I should be
the official sponsor of I mean it was hotcake Friday start making to talk start making to talks
it'll happen anyway back to my hardies you know you you got to stand out people like this is like
be different if you and you got to lean into it you got all this competition and in a heavily
crowded category yeah so this makes sense to me I have no idea how it all is gonna come together
and what it all is gonna taste like you know you know you know to be messy and indulge
to be messy and indulge and which are not words I would associate with hardies but maybe now
uh but you know what after reading this we'll see you get implemented I'll give it a shot
you know you know I'll try some hardies I'll try some hardies maybe on air maybe not
ah so we think we better start eating on the bug Carl Jr
yes your key here stand out or stand down either way we'll eat burgers yes this next one your
favorite alcohol of all time uh-huh uh-huh Mike's hard lemonade pays consumer no there it is
pays consumers to take PTO this is very smart uh now through September 28th consumers can
apply for MTO which is Mike's time off for a chance to win two hundred dollars for one
day's worth of time off winners will be paid electronically via Zell or Venmo to give away
comes as a fear of recession looms and could boost the brand's presence among price conscious
Gen Z consumers yeah this is fun I mean I'd love to be paid by my sorry yeah I don't know
where we're getting the sponsor after a few sticks negative I like Mark's hard but it's because I
young and I still like lemonade yeah I don't you know drink it often yeah but
I'm gonna leave it there good call good call I caught it and I appreciate it um I I like
this play a lot it's fun uh MTO clever yeah Mike's time off calm um I don't quite understand
the mechanism here like so you get to receive two hundred dollars for one day's worth of time
off that they're just gonna pay yeah yeah it's for I'm because are they are you Mike's are you
paying my employees to drink while they're work like is that what's happening here I the for when
I read in the article it's it's people who don't get PTO uh this is an option so there's some kind
of like vetting process and I guess obviously mean it's a what it's a six day campaign yeah for
eligibility okay um uh that's cool so I would imagine it's a lot of people who work in the
service industry or have part-time jobs you know Gen Z mm-hmm hopefully they'll spin all that money
on some Mike's hard lemonade you know that's the plan that's the plan and you know I'm not a
hater it's just whatever we had that day I think we had like the bold version it was just not good
like Joe and I were sitting here I know I hadn't so long and I was like uh trying to sip on
one during it was we had like another feature like this so I brought some in I think I bought
the extra bold or something and it was extra not good I'll do it that'll do it yes this next
article I love because I play this game too much but the New York Times subway ads unlock spelling
B in purpose driven campaign are you familiar with this little game yes the New York Times games
division is running a digital out of home oh oh h campaign on subway trains and platforms in
New York City to promote its spelling B title the New York Times games some of which are only
available through their subscription have it become a key revenue and engagement source as
mobile gaming explodes in popularity and profitability I mean the first thing I thought is like
wordal right yep you play some ordal every single morning nice I am not that I don't even have it on
my phone I wake up and do it but it's funny like we're on vacations are doing things like with the
kids in downtown wordal seems to be the fam like a little bit of a family thing that's fine like
figuring it out and stuff the boys like it and so it's pretty fun and the New York
crossword is fun too yeah so I thought it was the New York Times one of the media companies
bought wordal it might be New York Times I don't know like one of them I think I think New York
bought wordal yeah it was one of them yeah so you know obviously they're seeing some benefits
that so is this spell is it truly a spelling B game like there's a little B and you're given
a certain amount of letters and you have to like make as many words as possible and you have to
always use like the center letter it's it's hard yeah it's it's frustrating I don't know if I
would be as good at that I am not as good as I think this is cool I'm okay digital at home I like
by the way so I'm a proponent of digital at a home it's in a more affordable way to buy a high
profile placements and so a little bit of a thing on that you're gonna nurse they're seeing some
radcast digital at home so I do think you know they run ads on these games obviously and they're
getting data from you downloading it so that then they can remark it to you and that's how this
works so you're like why do they make money on these things but you come up with these types of
mechanisms it's no different than like on the internet when someone has like a digital tool on
their website that you might use for something like for instance like if there's a movie database
that you can go to and you can if you put in a movie you get like four more that you would like
right but you got to enter your email to use the tool it's an email capture tool because then
they're going to use that data to sell it or to remark it to you for other things or send you
a newsletter you don't really want every time every time and but it could be a newsletter you want
if they do the newsletter right and so a lot of them just don't excellent point because I have I
have many many a newsletter to actually quite enjoy a bit do you subscribe to NYT
no I don't pay for it yeah I do now because of the games and the articles so they worked on me
see there maxed out my free articles and now I play the games as well so there you go all right last
last article of the day League of Legends enlists Lil Nas X for championship anthem riot games creator
of online battle arena game League of Legends has enlisted rapper singer Lil Nas X I don't even
know if I'm saying that correctly as the games president he also produced an anthem in the
championships star walkin which will debut or has debuted ahead of this event the partnership
includes the game's first co-designed artist in-game collaboration and demonstrates growing
interest by brands to utilize musicians to create original songs to attract new audiences you know
Lil Nas X pissed me off when he did the blood and the shoes thing but like he did old town road with
freaking Billy Ray Cyrus which was fun my kids still love that so this crossover makes a lot of
sense I you know than you know him being a vampire or whatever he was but look kids are in these
games man like they're playing these games and so games are where it's at with between this and
New York Times you know I don't know what it says about us we need distractions we need to play more
yeah we want to be play games at all times yes entertained um it and still in place a reason like
my kids aren't watching TV right you know let's watch in football game with me or something they're
watching YouTube shorts to play video games or their playing sports and so this is where you
got to go and these kind of crossovers make sense with you know music and video games and
had lasso like yeah it's media it's intertwined all connected all these things don't do it in Michael
Jordan I mean Michael Jordan like original like was in games and like Nintendo there was like
all this this stuff ain't new like it's just and music they're like Michael Jackson was on Pepsi
was with like you know it's just spokesperson and interchanging of media and so and they have
attention Barrow they both have a different set of audiences here's what's happening you've got
Lil Nas his circle of influence all the people that like his music could do all that you have a
very popular game of legal legends all these people that are doing that but not those audiences
aren't exactly the same you bring them together and they share the audiences and you bring them
together so that they buy more of each product and more intermingling of those audience for the
circles of influence of each the high tide raises all ships that's why they do these things and so
it does and I think you'll see more and more of this as my kids time in games
so it's going for tonight the new season is pretty cool
for night is actually one of the first games that I like I don't even I can play it but I'm not
that I haven't played enough I actually enjoy watching the kids play it we have it on this like
90 Instagram I don't even know what like gigantic screen and it's like intent it's like you
it's somewhat it's enjoyable I I catch myself like going in there to tell them to do something
else and then in like 15 minutes later I've come out of the vortex I've been like watching the
play yeah so anyway but uh speaking to kids yeah probably kids they're all played baseball the
season Nash had a big night in the right yeah he's a good kid and played well got the first
game ball the season first game of the season yeah he's got a game tonight with you yeah so uh
we're uh headed to baseball bill there you go yeah and uh it's all ball clumps and better
beat weight force this weekend that's all I gotta say go Tigers and a little rocky start season
I mean we're we're three no but it's just kind of a little shaky stress a little shaky we'll see
in a big weekend plans um no no I start rehearsals for the show that I'm in but that's it I'm
a step sister in Cinderella oh yes because I'm just funny yeah he starts on day all right but
