Let me uh roll the windows down and get a fire hydrant out. Yep. There you go. There you go Crack an egg and you could you could have that thing cooking in about 10 seconds on a dashboard. I bet I bet over easy Anyway, it's been a good week. How's your week been? It's been good. It's been good. My insomnia has been bad, but aside from that Yeah, but it's great. It's what good concealers for Concealing right exactly very concealing. Mm-hmm Yeah, I Don't know I've rarely had trouble sleeping. Well, I've had it since high school and it's always worse this time of year I don't know why but I've had doctors but yeah, just have fun with it So I read a lot. I mean, I have too late to them sometimes but like once I'm ready to go to sleep generally But the few times it has happened it is a not a fun thing Well, my dad would kill me if he knew this but the nice thing about living in an apartment It's like I've gone down to my fitness center at like two three in the morning and run on the treadmill for 30 minutes Read my lips No, I'm gonna wear myself out and then I'll go back up to bed It two a.m. Yeah, two or three. Yeah, I mean, I got up at five a.m. to do workouts You know, but I've usually had at least six or seven hours Zombie running on the treadmill like this is fine. Yeah, yeah, no Not a two a.m. This is not normal. Not normal behavior. No, I wouldn't recommend Yeah, so it's been a good week. I did see this it did it was a late breaking It didn't make the article, but I thought it was interesting Heineken has developed a new bottle opener That it's called the closer and when you open up The bottle it's somehow I guess it's blue to do something it turns off your laptop. So all the the apps your workouts turn off That's kind of nice. You can actually unplug a little bit unplug the closer So it's called the closer deployance resembles a traditional bottle opener with Heineken braining It depicts use cases people feel overloaded with work demands and then quickly unplug as snapping off a Heineken bottle top simultaneously shutting down the laptop Offline it's kind of interesting. Yeah, no, it's how exactly it does that functionality No idea, but you're right. It's got to be Bluetooth and just like it's a do not disturb setting probably I guess Nick, you need one of those the closer definitely Oh Yeah, anyone that likes that's your phone down to like you know, it's like yeah, these goes into like do not Yeah, hey don't mess with the music keep the Bluetooth going because my Bluetooth Yeah, leave the music alone Yeah, I'm universe Oh, sorry, I thought I was over a doja cat person myself. It's certainly good No shoes no shirt no problem is my good friend Who sings that song? Oh, Kenny. Yeah, there you go testing the country music. Yeah, that's them. I'm gonna fail that every time Yes next week jj owner founder of ace of spades PR personal branding and a magician Ex-magician Jay was cool. It's not good It's not good, but it's not bad It's a dad joke. I get it. Are you running? Do you run? I've run Away from my problems. Yeah Yes That wasn't I was projecting. No, I was projecting But I'm tired. I haven't I like yes, I run like but I'm not like a I'm like a two to three mile guy. Okay totally like I'm a big dude like Pounding on the knees. Yeah, like you know 10 miles a little much I'm not a marathon person. Yeah, but I do like it because it I feel like it burns The most calories the fastest for me sharing a big guy sure versus, you know, like any of the other stuff So I will you know do it a couple times totally totally you know either outside or on the treadmill Nicole and I've been running a little bit around downtown Afterwork with the kids nice You know, yeah global running day is today. Yeah Which tomorrow after you run today exactly. This is my favorite feed your face with some donuts on national donut day Cannot go wrong donuts. Good Lord. Do you have a favorite donut? I do It's called a sour cream donut. That's my favorite. Oh So are you serious? I'm gonna bring him into the office. I'm gonna do it. Yes. That's my very favorite. Oh, they're so good It's also national hug your cat day, which I will be celebrating No Man That's a that's a successful plumbing system That's how it's supposed to work right there people Full flush all the way down with the trickle in the tank. Yeah. Yeah No no no no doubles no doubles. We flush that cat right down. No Well hugging cat. How do you hug a cat anyway? They don't want you to pet him my cats very snuggly He will run to the door when I get home and then and wants me to pick him up Then I just toss him over my shoulder. Well, that's unusual little buddy He is very weird. It's also a national old maid's day. Yeah, it's in foreshadowing there That's where you had a cat lady one day to old maid the next and look you will know in that light You weren't self-aware enough to know in that light switch flips. Oh man. It'll be one day the next listen I have enough cat t-shirts to know that it's coming It's like I cannot Your self-aware of the stigma with cat ladies, right? Oh, yes. Oh, yes, and yet you still live and I lean into it. Okay. I'm into it. All right. It's part of my personal branding. Okay Hallelujah But you know the cat lady stigma right Nick. Yeah, well aware of right. Well, where do you date girls that are cat ladies? Not usually I don't know who dodged what bullet with that one though. Yeah Sure, but it's like being a single mom. It's like oh, you don't like my cat. Guess. Guess not Guess there's no future here. Yeah, but everyone loves my cat Well, June 5th. I don't well some someone send me a text. So I'll forget about this by the time Sunday rolls around National bubbly day perfect day for mimosas. Yes Is and I mean Bubbly's just champagne right doesn't mean the other being yeah, any any any I don't think it's national, you know, bubbly personality. Yeah. Yeah, that's what I guess So that's a misinterpreted solidates sparkling water. Yes, yeah, that's what it is We got lots of food this month on that or this week and then June 7th is national chocolate ice cream day Nash is gonna be so happy for that He it's really national chocolate ice cream day for him every day He gets a scoop before bed almost every night. I'm like rightfully so yeah On June 7th. I'll make sure that he gets it and then I can't talk like it, but hopefully Niko had some sound effects after the fact very National Donald Duck day It's like I can't do it. I can't I can't I'll fix it in post. Yeah And but two days ago June 1st would would have been Marilyn Monroe's 96th birthday. I think it's interesting I like Marilyn Monroe. I love her movies iconic very yeah very attractive to yeah beautiful woman and so tragic I know such a tragic young too young and D day. Yeah, celebration is 78th anniversary. Yes, so we've had multiple back to back kind of military and or remember patriotic. Yeah, so 78th anniversary 70 man. Not crazy. And I know it's way before our our time right still it's like The years are adding up That's still not that long ago, which is what's incredible 78th so someone I guess there's probably still maybe a few living yeah At participants. They'd be right around 100, but I'm sure there's a handful. Yeah, thank you for your service. Yes Unbelievable and hopefully aren't headed towards World War III Maybe in the metaverse. Oh, yeah Speaking of that Segway Segway Trends in the metaverse You know Almost all marketing news this way this this this day is somewhat related to the metaverse or an fts. It would appear Um, but this was pretty cool and since you're such a fashion queen. I'm gonna get you up It's spearheading this one. Yeah, I mean anything with Gucci in it. Of course that and it's Italian. I mean Yeah, Gucci opens persistent digital space on Roblox. They've got they've have several already But a virtual piazza called Gucci town Includes mini game heights a creative corner for creating art pieces and exhibition space called Vault Plaza a shop that sells digital Gucci items And a power-up place where community members can meet and interact users can earn in experience currency called GG gems And purchase virtual items. It's a whole town. Hey Gucci town. It sounds like a song Gucci town Radcast rap song called Gucci town. Oh, I'm too white for that. You're welcome to try. Oh You know you call alien But with Gucci town the luxury brand is looking to carve out a permanent space in Roblox that will evolve over time Demonstrating its commitment to the concept of a metaverse So I'm gonna do a little Education here persistent digital space means that it's living breathing and changes as you go and not a pop-up and not just like every time So like non-persistent would be I mean, you know for anyone who played like Mario brothers every time you start Mario brothers It starts from the beginning and it's exactly the same Persistent means it stays online. It's online and so that it evolves so that theoretically if there's a bush in a persistent metaverse and someone trims it and you come on five hours later It's still trimmed right and it's not the same original bush from like starting Yes, so it's gonna be persistent. Which is gonna be interesting to see how Gucci evolves. Yeah in a persistent place. I wonder you know Yeah, I'm gonna be smacking you with my Louis Vuitton In Gucci town You're trying to converge the metaverse with the real world and digital experiences Lots of luxury brands have done this with NFTs to generate income and more engagement with consumers Yeah, I mean think about these these brands even though some of the stuff's more expensive like the luxury brands It can stay luxury, but baby be more attainable So you open up their audience base Right makes sense as long as it start doesn't start to creep into Brand affinity and and the perception of luxury right if it becomes too Uh attainable. Yeah, yeah, and then you do have brands like I know American Eagle gap and forever 21 have also Ventured into Roblox So it is interesting you can have all these stuck-up avatars At Gucci town and I'll be hanging out at like you know gap You know, like you know, I'll be a forever 21 H&M t-shirts. Yeah, there you go. Yes, and like man look at her. She's going into Gucci town. They're Gucci Gucci fanny pack Yeah, she must be so loaded in the metaverse. Oh my gosh How many coins does she have oh my god Gigi Gigi term Gigi Gigi gems. Yes, yeah In the coin. I mean put her Gigi gems and her Louis Vuitton pairs Cross branding. Hey, I like it. Yeah, that's cool South Korea is investing $177 million Directly in metaverse platforms. Well, hello The government of South Korea is announced it will start investing in metaverse projects directly more than 177 million dollars will be invested to kickstart national jobs and companies in the field That says they're minister of science and information In communication technology South Korea is one of the first countries to put funds into this field It's an investment part of a new tech focus South Korea has included in its digital new deal Well, it's like that is that the new deal Like that was that jfk. We're not jfk. Uh, who what what president was the new deal? Uh, Hoover. I don't know Roseville FDR FDR. Yeah, that's what it was. I should get history there FDR I know that's an Annie can ask my 12 year old. He know. He's done history right now The sort of guidelines that the government is following to push citizens to transition to a fully digital society I mean, when you live in a smaller footprint of a country. Yeah, and all you have is North Korea above you I'd want to get in that digital world as fast as possible to Escapeism. It's it really is so fascinating that their government is funding this yeah As long as Kim jim jim jjong on stage out of that makes me it makes me get proud. Think about it I you know and I get it. I guess but but hunter said 77 million is a lot of money for South Korea a lot of money for any government But my for South Korea one for your government to be fun. I mean again I can't get past the fact that it's it's being taken so seriously, you know I think people are starting to give up on the real world a little too quickly. I agree You know, I'm not there yet. And then we'll see What else we got oh this this might make me give up on the real world Hey, I've got I've got some personal paintings on this next one Oh my god, she kids Could the future of parenthood be having virtual children in the metaverse? Uh Katrina Campbell one of the UK's leading authorities on artificial intelligence believes that within 50 years Technology will have advanced to such an extent that babies which exist in the metaverse are indistinct from those in the real world Technology has come a long way since the 90s Campbell says virtual children will look like you and will be able to play with you And you can cuddle them. They will be able to simulate emotional responses as well as speech Which will range from Google Gaga to back chat as they grow older This comes from the Guardian the Guardian that come interesting Um I will say this. There's definitely a Segment and I'm not I'm not gonna say who's the judge. I'm just saying it strikes me That certain people might should be focused on maybe some meta-children and not real children right right Because they can barely keep up with themselves. So uh, you know, they should practice in the metaverse I'll keep my And you know, you know, on this one. Yeah, like so It's not in politics mind just the opinion of like the lack of parenting that I see going around I'm like Jesus like, you know, like maybe they need to practice in the metaverse first You know simulation simulation. I mean, you know, I like we do it like we do with um the military Yeah, yeah practice practice your parenthood see how bad it is You don't need to have one and we can simulate birth for men so they can know Hey, there you go nicks. Dicks are he signed up for that. He's doing Le Mans classes of the members Cats won't look so bad after that. You'll be like, I'll be a cat dad. That's fine. Yeah Uh, that's a great one. This one always that would be me with that Oh, yes, Nick read my lips No, uh, I will say this This is interesting. Um, it's a little scary. This sounds like Westworld especially when they start talking about virtual children that are Yeah, her creating babies which exist in the mirror are indistinct from those in the real world Okay, within 50 years. Yeah, well as fair within them she thinks I mean Yeah, only time will tell I The writing's kind of on the wall a bit verbose as much as this being thrown into it But it's still like I don't know 50 years I'd be an old old geezer by then you'd be pretty old yourself. I'm gonna be a pretty sassy 70 year old listen listen to me Yeah, do that do all that hot yoga. I'm gonna be fine. Yes Yes, my three a.m. Runs. I know hot yoga We are next door to us is a good partner soul yoga who it is hot yoga right next to us and it's warm It is yeah, it will get you going. So if you're in green, we'll go check out soul yoga calorie burning yeah plug in our partners here. Yeah, so moving on moving out of our trends in the metaverse American girls unveiling a podcast network rooted in the brands characters the network known only as a g We'll consist of ad free shows touching on a range of themes and formats and lots with reviews and shows American girl 10-minute mysteries will be scripted and adapted from the brand slate of published content American girl fan club and the smart girls podcasts will be non-fiction style and features a slate of guests And behind the scenes content content is produced with Jess Winner and cloud 10 meter cloud 10 media got it So I'm so excited about this. I would have been all Over this is a kid. Yeah, this makes a lot of sense to me Currently 62% of Americans have listened to a podcast and 79% aware of them. That's just like this one folks Here we are if you're listening you are on the forefront and you need to tell others to listen and Subscribe, but this makes a lot of sense. Yeah, I mean it's It's like the people the kids kids listen to the audio anyway with music and different things They have this brand affinity built in American girls like the pot most pot I don't know what the age group like it's up there with I know it's up there with Barbie because it's like four to seven four to eight or Like even old a little older than that But I mean no one plays with toys anymore. So I think it's really smart for them to keep their relevance and Yeah, yeah podcast so It says that children have also got into podcast with 48% of kids between 13 and 17 have listened to a podcast In 2020 so it's probably higher than that now. Totally. It's where the stats from um Podcasts this thing is also higher than previous years it's 32% for their demo of 8 to 12 And currently podcast advertising is 8% of all digital audio spend and increase 60% 68% year every year I'll say this Yes, speaking of that we are accepting new sponsors So if you were to be listening and you want to tap into our 150,000 downloads a month It's be a good time to point that yes. It is worldwide. We're top 107 countries and we did hit back in the top 100 on Apple just this week So one million downloads Yes, one million we did we didn't even talk about that last week That's just like how you know in grade and you know like one million downloads So it's relevant and I think American girl is on to something here. Yeah, because I mean It will take for that audience for that demo to kind of increase it the content has to bring it right So it's chicken in the egg. Well, why aren't more children listening because they haven't had podcasts for that demo right So I think this will bring it along I agree kind of paving the way maybe we need a radcast like You know for kids or something I can spearhead that I've got you. I got you Children's theater over here. We need to start them early, you know get them on the the radcast bandwagon There we go What's next here Miller light fires up the grill with beer infused charcoal just in time for summer Miller light beer coal is intended to flavor grilled foods with the taste of Miller light With four pound bags available to purchase online at Miller light beer coal dot com for 1199 plus shipping The it's griller time campaign is a play on its Miller time the long-used slogan of the beer Beer coal is the latest taste-based initiative from the brewer following flavor drops that went on sale during march madness Similar to the drops beer coal was released to coincide with memorial day And acts as the unofficial marker of summer when beer sales tend to spike I really like this makes a ton of sense. I love that you think you you but you grill and you kind of cook with beer anyway Great. Yeah, you know, I thought the the beer drops the the flavors drops. Yeah, the suckers were a little weird, but cool This it makes tons of sense, right? Do you think it actually works? I have no idea, but I want to try it and I'm and I have like a trigger So I don't know I have to figure out. I don't have a charcoal grill, but I might have to buy like I don't know this like There are any charcoal grill people listening. Please sponsor us This is great. This is great brand extension This is what you do when you have a brand. You're trying to do something to extend your brand get more borrowed interest from certain holidays from certain interest from your tip you know look If you're a beer drinker, you're probably a griller So this is the connecting the dots of the brand versus your target versus the things that they do versus the time of year This is how you do brand extension marketing. I'm gonna give it another clip Clap for Miller light and the Miller light and then the it's Miller time. It's griller time. Yeah, I'm I love that I love a quickie remark. I'll do it. Great. What's next? Pepsi spends cola infused pepperoni pizza and letter latest better with Pepsi push This is pretty fun too and I saw I do Interact and connected and share content back and forth with the CMO of Pepsi and I saw him talk about this exact thing It was Pepsi flavored pepperonis And it was they did it they did a Pepsi Pepsi flavored pepperonis which look kind of interesting Pepsi last week Introduced a pizza topped with soda infused pepperoni versus national pizza party day on May 20th Pepsi is capitalizing on success from past efforts to associate it soda with favorite foods under the better with Pepsi better The new push straws on data that shows 72% of national pizza chains serve Pepsi including pizza little seizures Papa Johns and Papa Murphy's That suggests about nine and ten people recommend Pepsi Pepsi alongside pizza. Okay Let me tell you they have the data to back it up. It's fun. It's cool I mean that I thought it was it can't be bad either right? I mean now. I mean it's pretty like a sweeter exactly It's a sweeter taste. Yeah, I bet you it's a sweeter tasting pepperoni. Yeah, it's us limited supply I think they used diet Pepsi so it's not adding any Calories Sugar pepperoni. There you go. Yeah, that's pretty good. I you don't need more calories to that pepperoni You know Pizza I might have some qt pizza for lunch. Can't go wrong. That sounds too bad. I don't know I'm excited. You pick it up when I'm throwing down. Mm-hmm. Uh-huh. Yes, sir Uh, what's up next? The 80s are back at least in ad design So why the resurgence? Sarah fonts and simple graphics could be a response to years of sans Sarah startup fonts and millennial pink It could also be part of the broader nostalgia marketing trends. It's happening as people cope with the issues of today Everything is always better in the past or so it seems Aerophili Gunaari zoomer and founder of Gen Z social media agency the Z link loves the 80s editorial looks so much She made a tick talk about it. I got so many comments from people say that the design themselves made them want to buy the products and check them out She credits its popularity in part to the sense of nostalgia that's popular among Gen Z and millennials Even if many weren't alive in the 80s Yeah, I was alive in the 80s and I so I loved the 80s. That's why I love stranger things I just started to use a four of last night Pretty interesting. I did fall asleep back to not having a trouble It was no reflection of the show. It was more. It just started creeping in closer to my uh, snoozy time That's um phrase I never heard before. Yes, old snoozy time. Nick knew what I meant. Copyright trademark. Yes, exactly. Hallelujah um That's what I say when I get this snoozy time the uh So burking changed their logo back to like their 80s saying. Yeah, there's a lot of trends And I agree when I see stuff this in the 80s. I tend to want to buy more Which is interesting. I know my mom will see things and she's like oh god. Please know I know I'm a little older than you are, but it's it's interesting where that Generational dynamic is telling me tape cassettes are killing back. No way. I'm like geez. That's such a pain like You know, because I can get behind LPs and get behind I totally got the records thing with the Come on. They say it just sounds so bad. It's good. I'm like I wasn't so many audiobooks on cassette tape when I was a kid. Yeah, because I was homeschool Yeah, I don't know about that, but I do like the 80s look and I am starting and I'm starting to catch it in a lot of design Stuff and I think that nostalgia and things like stranger things is gonna bring that so if you're thinking about a little brand change up Lean look back not forward. Yeah, hey Finally today tiktok is testing a clear mode for a distraction distraction free scrolling experience so essentially When you open the app and you start scrolling you've got the comments and the hashtag or the um all the buttons Caption gone all the stuff's kind of out of your way and it's just the content And a lot of people have requested that because sometimes it gets cut off some of the video anyway You can't take screenshots and yeah, trying to say recipes. It makes sense to me It's gonna if you're a marketer you've got to rethink then If people are scrolling a lot without the hashtags or not without the hashtags, but the caption So if you know the caption probably isn't being seen You might still need it for like I'll call it the SEO value. Yeah, you're still getting Pushed up by the algorithm based on maybe some of those hashtags and content But if you know that it's likely not being read it might make you rethink the actual video You might put more of the words on screen on the video Or just make sure that your message is being fully conveyed via the video itself and not be counting on And I think most people are doing that anyway. Yeah, because you can't really count on the caption being read But I think on some level it makes it deprioritizes it even more It's there are some like comedic accounts that I follow and I think that the caption Is such a nice addition and makes it funnier. So I'm interested to see what like What your performers are gonna do with you know with this option It truly puts another meaning on hashtag no caption needed Verily verily Ah, she I don't know Hallelujah But yeah, it's be interesting. You know, it's such an immersive platform. Yeah, it it did make sense It'll be interesting how that test goes and it rolls out more Universe permanently right we'll see but if you're on a tiktok you need to get there And if you aren't there you need to call us because we can help you get it all set up for you. Yeah, so Any final words there Christina? No, I think I'm good Nicholas I'm gonna go hug my cat. Well, I really thought that tiktok thing was interesting because now Not only are they thinking about the caption, but they're gonna be thinking about how to put it on the video Yeah, it's gonna make you think about how to edit. Yeah, yeah, probably give me more flexibility. Yeah So we'll see Well, hey guys, you know where to find out more about us go check out brandobills.com search for Don't search for but look for those father's days hats radcast 20 save 20 percent You know where to find us the radcast.com search for any of our content you we've got a search bar You learn one search term in scram tiktok and it brings up every highlight clip every episode So don't be afraid to go to the radcast.com to learn more about the show Search for highlight clips search for our YouTube videos all the video content is there on the radcast.com For Christina Gassi.
