Hey guys, what's up? Welcome to the latest edition of the Radcast here is the Radcast news Friday October 28th, 2022, our weekly marketing advertising and business news of the week. Christina Yassi, welcome to the show. Thank you. Thank you. Mr. Nick Weaver. What's going on? Here we are. Yeah, welcome back to the Carolinas. I know. We talked pre episode still adjusting. That three hours makes a difference. Yeah, it's hard. It's hard. Just in the sleep patterns back. Just long, just gone long, just long enough to both mess up my words and be a little old. What is it? You both have asked me what date is today. Just for a point of reference. Will we work all weekend? Which, you know, I'm not accustomed to, but a bit working all weekend away from home and at that level. Right. In a different time zone. In a different time zone. So it was a great event. We had a good time. Appreciate how we pee, how we're pains for inviting us out to think billions. We're up in the swag. Yeah, I've got the cap on today. And it was a great event. Really good people. Really good. I don't know, vibe when you agree, Nick. Yeah, very inspirational, very informative. All the speakers were great. Yeah. We had a good time. We interviewed eight-ish people, I think. We had eight interviews. And three days, Dan. I did a keynote and spoke on a couple of panels and, you know, just drop in knowledge. There you go. Drop it like it's hot. There it is. And we had a great time. So we really appreciate Alexa and I think consulting group and everyone involved. And so too many names to name, but we appreciate it and looking forward to future ventures. So it was good. But it's not so good is coming. Yeah, you think about losing billions, right? Yeah, losing billions. Hey, pretty good. Thank you. Yeah, thinking. Not thinking. Forgetting, forgetting billions. And maybe it's a master plan. I don't know. Maybe smarter than all of us. And he's just getting rid of all these brands so he could start to fresh. There's one. But sure. I don't know. I don't know if it's that thoughtful or not. Or it's just the madness of one man. Right. He closed his school down this week as well. Yeah. And I'm doing controversy. And who knows what else? Who knows? Very odd. He was escorted off of the premise of sketchers who just walked into the sketch. Yeah. That's not just a rumor. No, I checked. I checked several different sites. I've seen and had something on it New York Times. That was just like fake news or something. Okay. Yeah. He said last week, like it's clearly something. Something's off. Something's up. But it's funny because I know I don't know if you know about the beef or the history between Kanye West and Taylor Swift. Yes, I am aware of that. So it is. It is funny that all of this is happening while she is breaking all of Spotify streaming records with her new album. I'm just going to say this. Neither one of these people are my favorite. I would if Taylor Swift, okay. So if Taylor Swift started to call, I would join. That sounds like I am a dot. And I have been for over a decade, which makes me feel so old to be able to say that. But it's all I play screaming noises and nose. I love so much. No. If we had I just don't I think she's full of shit. Really? Yeah. I do. I think she's look. Let's make something very clear. Just like Kanye, she's extremely talented. Okay. Extremely a pioneer and very very much not off her shit like Kanye. Right. I'm putting her. I'm not putting her in the same cap. Kanye is fucking crazy and a lot of shit he's doing is not right. Right. I wouldn't put Taylor in that group, but I just don't care for sure. I it's plasticky. Oh, I think she's brilliant. Especially with marketing. Her marketing campaigns are brilliant. There's plastic people that are brilliant in marketing. No, I do, but I think she's got more depth than that. I think she's got more depth than a Kardashian. Maybe. I think she's she's Southern and smarter. Maybe then. It's just my opinion. You know, I know it's an unpopular one, but I tell it like I see it. Yeah. It's super talented. Like great writer, amazing artist, respect. I respect her. I could respect someone and still have an opinion about her. Sure. You know, I don't know. Not buying all not picking up everything. It's been thrown down there. 184.6 million. I think that up. I picked that up on she's thinking billions. That's a lot of money. Oof. And incredibly successful. No doubt. Yeah. A bit of radcast news. If you missed this week's episode, Alexa Diagostina, who's the founder of Think Consulting Group, well put on Think Billions was on. She really told her story of entrepreneurism company. She started and sold and she's had more exits than Elon Musk. I mean, it's crazy. She's been Uber successful. She's running a really great marketing and consulting group. Really good episode. So you should check that out if you did and that came out this past Tuesday. Then next week, Matt Alonzo, filmmaker. And I would say music videos to the stars. It's done a million of big artists from Bieber to every other rapper that seems to be hot now. He's done music videos for and was really enlightening. He was not exactly what I expected. You know, it was he's a California guy, a little right leaning. It was fascinating. And his growth and kind of process. You've got to lose by that mantra. I think this this true that I talk about all the time is certainly don't give things away, but you lean into opportunities for borrowed interests where hey, maybe you do a music video for Bieber. Don't get paid top money. Right. But you understand the association that that brings in what that leads to. So smart guy. Super talented is works amazing. So really enjoy talking to Matt Alonzo. That releases next Tuesday. We've got a lot of the episodes and a lot of content from Think Billions events that will be coming out. We're kind of parsing that away for how that's going to be distributed on the Radcast channel. Also be on the lookout for that. And we've got some big names that I can't quite name yet. But let's just say it's it's heating up. And you know, there's a theme song I would play that we'll maybe we'll play it next week. So some big stuff coming. Yeah, on the Radcast. The speaking of big things, it's always big things with our sponsor branded bills brand official merchandise sponsor of the Radcast always surrounded by merch here in the studio. And it's not a flat bill. I don't even know what to do. I know. I got the curve bill. Think Bill gets happy. I know. Here it is. I don't know. I mean, I'm usually more of a flat. Yeah. Is it, you know, just made my head look weird. No, they both look good. But like flat bill definitely feels more like your brand. Yeah. So that I'm a core bill person. Yeah. Like I got that, uh, who's the core bill country music guy with wear sunglasses? Eric church. Oh, oh, Dean. So true. But I think I'm Eric church. I do love Eric church. But uh, yes. I'm, today is national chocolate day. And I'm sad that that's not on Halloween. But, you know, I'll always celebrate chocolate. I like chocolate, especially milk chocolate. You're okay. I'm a dark chocolate person. I'll look, I don't discriminate though. I will eat any of it. Milk chocolate, me, uh, jive, especially it's got peanut butter and it's called a Reese's. The best, the best. Yes. I don't know, but good chocolate bar. It's pretty good. Like, I used to think like fru fru, like milk chocolate was no good. Like, you know, it's fancy bars. Yeah. I think my tastes have really evolved because I had one and I don't even remember the name of it. It was like some kind of Swiss milk chocolate. Damn, that shit was good. I was like melting into the sea. You know, like, I felt myself getting out of body experience. Yes. And, uh, and I'm not, I say as much as I talk about food, I really don't like crave sweets as much as I do like chips and salsa or something. But like, damn, it is pretty good. Chocolate's like its own category though. I know. You know, if I really didn't have to like, watch my girl's figure sometimes, I would just eat chocolate all day. Wasn't the same. Same. All six, five, two, six, the, you know, those pounds could get added up. Oh, you know, it's so good though. It takes work to look as big as I do. And, and money, working money. Yes. But yeah, happy national chocolate day. Yes. All day. Celebrate. And tomorrow, Saturday, not Friday, Saturday, yeah, hermit day, national hermit day. What the, is this like a hermit crab or just like, no, this is like, you know, like the, the old man. Oh, wait, okay. There's a few of those hanging out around the building sometimes. So like, maybe we need to give him a little balloon. Give him a free call. This is what's confusing though. If it's national hermit day and you are a hermit, do you want to be celebrated or do you want to be ignored? Yeah. Cause don't hermits like not one attention. It's what they are. The hermit crab. Exactly. You know, exactly. So it's a curious, a curious holiday. It is quite curious. Like, I'll get it. So I thought maybe it was hermit crab. You know, what is the actual definition of hermit? The most useless animal of all time, hermit crab. Why do people have hermit crabs? Oh, wait, this is fascinating. So that the definition of hermit is a person living in solitude as a religious discipline. So there's the religious element to it. I didn't realize that. But they want to be in solitude. But yeah, we have a social, social holiday for someone living in solitude. Right. Do you have, so it's not, you know, you're not a Luddite. Like, you still have social media. How curious? I'm gonna go break some hermits right out of solitude. You know, no solitude for you. Happy hermit day. Sorry to draw attention to you. Yes. It's bus that she right up. Sunday. Sunday's my favorite. Yes. National checklist day. I'm a big checklist person. You're I am. I'm sort of really. I always have a notebook. I've got on my phone. It is, I will make a checklist. And the first thing will be make a checklist just so I can I write stuff down, but I don't know that I'm a checklist. Oh, I love it. It's like the most satisfying thing. I email myself or text myself reminders. Sure. And I use Siri reminders. That's my way of remembering things. And I think I'm, I think generally speaking, I'm good at remembering the things I need to be. Sure. Other than the podcast today. But yeah. You made it. It's fine. Rear. But checklist that I like. I don't know. I love it so much. And it's great because I keep I'm a hoarder. I keep all of my notebooks. So I have like all of my checklist from college. You really are secretly a 70-year-old lady. I'm just lady. Weird. Yeah. Pretty much. Uh-huh. Yes. In a 27-year-old spotting. Yes. Well, also being like a 14-year-old boy, it just doesn't make any sense. Don't homeschool your kids. That's all I have to say. Is that where it goes from? Probably. I think I was just like, I just read too many books too young. Maybe. Maybe. Who knows? Yeah. You fed your margins too many things. Too many things. Too many ideas. And this is a small one on Monday. Halloween. Halloween. It's in, it's Halloween weekend. Do you celebrate Halloween? Do your kids dress up? Are you doing anything fun? Does. How do you do? Do you have whipping balls? I couldn't answer that. He does. It was a whipping cartoon. So what are your kids dressing up as? You know, I think, yeah, I've had to think about it because I've had their, I think, Hogan is like a robot costume and Nash is a firefighter or something else. Like, Nicole is a planner. I mean, do you have to do your Nicole dress up? Are you going to be? We, we have. It's a Monday night though. I know. How are we going? So we have before and we might last minute, we have some things we could make happen. But the boys have had their Halloween costumes. It's like August. I love it so much. That's why I had to think about it. Because you're like, I'm not seeing them in a while. I haven't seen them in two months, but yes. So Halloween, Monday's kind of suck for Halloween. I have rehearsal. I'm so annoyed about it. I'm going to wear my inflatable sloth costume anyway though. I have like an eight-foot inflatable sloth. Yeah, because I mean, kids get all jacked up and they get to go school the next day. It's like, I don't know. Barely enjoy it. But they should, they should like have it on a, I don't know, Saturday night, Friday night. Yeah. And a lot of like the the downtown parties are happening on the 29th. Yeah. Do you are you a, you seem like a Halloween dress up conversation? I love it. I right. And because of that, I have had a rehearsal on Halloween. I think since I was 19. Yeah. Like I have always had rehearsal. So I've not had like a fun, celebrate Halloween. I'm in a theater. So typically there are costumes involved. But I still love it. Do you like to go to or you change it out depending on? I have some like, I have my sloth, which is a go to nice and easy. I've been a pirate several times. Oh, which is always easy. Just let my natural essence come through. Mary Poppins. I want to do Mary Poppins in bird with my boyfriend. But we couldn't. I'm dying. Apparently this is my voice. But I have BB-8 like from Star Wars. I have a little like BB-8 dress with a headband, which is cute. That's cute. I have BB-8 tattoo. That's how much I love BB-8. Oh my god. And you're like, what is with this girl? Yes. But the best thing about Halloween is the next day. All of the candies on sale. It's like half off. I'm going to hear first. Very good. Little tip. I do though that. I was having one with the Easter right. Yep. Celebrate all Saints day with discount candy. Yes. All Saints day is Tuesday. Yes. Yeah. It's a big Catholic holiday. Yeah. And then, yeah, no shaved November. I mean, that just shows your braining right there that it's become that it even made our list, you know. I have to put it in there. That's pretty big. Yeah. No shave. It's for like what prostate cancer around us. Yes. And it's a man problem. I will say the mustache thing, you know, I might not shave my entire beard, but the whole mustache. I feel like you have to at least trim, you know, just like general upkeep. Yeah. It's old. I will not be participating. That's for my family. You can get dressed up for Halloween. It depends on if I go to the Halloween party or not. What would you be if you were to dress up? Probably Michael Jackson. Uh, it took him wrong. That's curious. Yeah. Christmas music. What's yours? Yeah. It's a controversial question. Yeah. When are you a Christmas music person before or after Thanksgiving? Or do you care? Uh, I don't know that I care. Sure. It never runs a little early. I think November 15th is fine. Okay. Fair. It doesn't have to actually be November 27th or whatever. Yeah. Right. Right. But November 15th sounds about right. I can do, we can do 40 days of how of fair of Christmas music. You know, it does, I will say, it doesn't quite seem like Christmas time. Yes. Yeah. This is the time. I'm sure it's two months. I guess it's too much life. Yes. It is. Yeah. I don't know. Uh, just I think it's just been, it's been super cold. I guess I'm just done that mode yet. Do you listen to Chris music, Rally? Uh, start after Thanksgiving. Okay. I think working in retail for years, I mean, it's just as soon as Halloween's over before Halloween's over, really. You're prepping for Christmas. Yeah. So we'll see. I don't know. I'd be good. Good poll question out there. There it is. Put it up. Christmas music before or after Thanksgiving. Do you know where does it matter? I don't know. Contra person. It does start to wear out a little bit by like, you know, some of those channels that play it all the time. I have to like stagger it. Like this is what I listened to for this period. And then this is like the real Christmas music and phase myself out of it. Yes. So, uh, get all your music trends, all your music, uh, Christmas holiday favorites on your playlist. There you go. Okay. There's some social media news, huh? Yes. And by the time people are listening to this, we may have a different outcome, but it's Elon Musk. So you never really know what's going on. But he is supposed to close his Twitter deal today. It was hilarious. Uh, before we came in, I looked at his Twitter with the sink. Uh, well, his titles like King Twitter, or something. Uh, he's just such a piece of work. And then he was carrying his sink in. He's like, uh, let this sink in. Yeah. Care to sink in the headquarters. Like literally. I mean, is it a great. God, it's ridiculous. Accenture happening. And funny and brilliant. I'm all I'm I am both like sad and happy that he's not an American citizen and can't run for president. Right. Yeah, you probably get elected probably listen. Listen. Yeah. If third people can make it, you know, and I'm just saying in general, that's good batter ugly. Like it's like, I think anyone with the right formula can get elected, you know, I would agree. And I think he probably got it smart enough to, uh, do it. And he might be the right person. I mean, we're a business. I mean, I don't know. Yeah, it's like, he might have some brilliant ideas with government. He tried to show the whole thing out. Probably. Okay. Which I'm not so sure. Some days isn't very way to do it, but for the baby out with the bathwater, um, I know. This next one is fun. Yeah. Instagram is testing a new option which would enable you to have a song on your profile. There aren't a ton of details. Um, like Instagram hasn't had a made a big public statement about it, but they're workshopping whether or not it'll start playing as soon as you go to somebody's profile. What that looks like. Um, I'm going to make I'm going to back up for one second. I don't want to make one marketing comment on Twitter. So this is actually pretty fascinating. I would do this. It's in the same neighborhood with Instagram. But look, here's what's going on. I have no idea if this is going to be a bomb. If it's going to fail, everything, you know, even Musk knows that it's a risk and he had to have every answer. But right now, if you're a marketer and it makes sense, if it at any time has made sense for you to be marketing on Twitter's platform, now's the time to be on there. Yeah, because there's so much media attention, you're getting not only the natural viewers and people that are on there, but you have all this other microscope on it. So keep that in mind that this it could be the right time to shift some dollars to test on Twitter for marketing because you've got even outside of the normal audience, extra audience that are going to be watching to see what Musk does. So I think you might get some added value or even just be able to make your dollars go further with how you kind of manipulate that or work through that. So one thing to keep in mind, I've never been a huge Twitter ad guide, but if there was a time I would test it, it'd be now. That's a good piece of advice. But I do like this Instagram, you know, personalization, and you know, it makes sense to me. You could have one on your Tinder profile. You could have a a song, which was always interesting. I had Lucy in the sky with diamonds. And everyone was like, let's get high. And I was like, I'm good. Thank you for you. Let's do some gummies. Never again, never again. CBD gummies for you. I've been burned once. Yes. I can even do Delta 8. God. That's a real thing, right? What song would you have? I would put, we're working on a new custom red cast. Oh, you'd have a theme song. My red cast. If you couldn't do your own branding, what song would you do? Um, Kanye's. Jesus is a king. I think I'd say we're for Kanye for a little while. You know, I do still use his song like a couple who's like, you can't die him rapping, but like the instrumental stuff on things. I always tell my back off now. I just don't really want, you know. Yeah, it's like, it's just not worth it right now. Yeah, it's just not worth it. I think everyone should have right to do what they need to do, but it doesn't mean that I agree with everything. And so, um, it would definitely be, I don't know. I got to think about that. Yeah, I think my mind would change frequently. It would change. I think it'd be weekly. Yeah, be like, what about feeling? I probably have like, kind of like three, Jaron Johnson, a man like, I really like their music. That's kind of like an everyday playlist for me. So I'm like something like something like that. And then probably some rap song of the week. And then I've been really digging like a linear lately. And all of that. Yeah. And he does this incredible remix is on some of my like favorite songs. I'd probably have like something like that. Nice. Spend, might even change by the day. Like in the morning, I'm working out like. Yeah. And then, you know, I love this time. It's kind of like three by the night time. It's, uh, I don't know. Sleepy time. Yeah, I don't know that too. Yeah. Yeah. Yes, that postman would make the kind of multiple times. Totally. So we'll see about you. Um, tell us about something. I don't know that it may, maybe, I don't know. That's a little too, like, for example, I love her. I don't know. Probably something Mumford and sons, honestly. That's one of my other like most consistently listened to bands, which again, very stereotypical. Um, or musical theater. I try to have some kind of like musical going on. Yeah. At some point, I had a weird dream that involved a band that sounded like Mumford at the last night. It's something you say. I read a tweet that said Mumford and sons sounds like all of the pastries at Starbucks wearing suspenders, which I thought was very funny. That's pretty funny. You're, you're going to hear some Mumford and sons at Starbucks and a lot of their random, uh, music at the world. Or Frankie Valley or Billy Joel, I would tell one of them. Or like some random African like, yeah, you know, dance song or something, you know, something global. No, global. It's like global music that like, I don't get, but appreciate it. It appeals to someone. I'm like, but I'm like, yeah, I don't have no idea what this is, but you know, Nicholas, you're, yourself. I might have some Van Halens and me. There it is. Classic rocker. I knew it. I might, you know what I might just make it, get story. So, fall for Greenville's a couple weeks ago. And the boys sold water. They made like $200, $300. So water's out in front of our house. Because everybody walks by our house. Yeah. And I had music playing there for them. And they would, I was controlling the music and I had the speaker behind them, so that people walked by and stuff. And I played Pink Floyd money. Over and over again, you know, as the cash register sounded at the beginning, it doesn't want to walk by and start restart the song. So good. So that got their attention. So I'm gonna put that on my, uh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. My life. Pink Floyd's good. Yeah. Does it start playing when you enter the person's profile? That's what we don't know yet. That's what they're trying to figure out. In a rat cash register. Do you remember the profile song when Facebook first came out? Yes. Yeah. Bringing it back. Yes. Exactly. Yeah. I like it. Personalization, braining, braining opportunities. And if you're artists, hey, great option. Yeah. Put your music there. If it auto plays. Yeah. Music is also, it's so social. It gets such an easy way to start a conversation. Or no, if you don't want to start a conversation with somebody, um, I think it's a very cool piece of social media. I can always see you, um, you know, X-Nane, you know, whoever doesn't have the song you like or like if they have, they've been Kanye might be like, we're going to have much to agree on. Yes. Probably not. I don't know that anyone with the right mind is agreeing with some of the shit. Yeah. Yeah. For sure. For sure. For sure. For sure. Universal. You know, I'm just going to have a lot of room for hate. Um, the, uh, Oscar Meyer, I thought this was fun. Give it away. Life's so good. What was the details here? Yeah. So the ironic campaign follows research by the brand that found that 53% of vegans, I am one of these people leave their diets in pursuit of bacon. And this is the latest example of, um, the marketer leaning into like a humorous ad campaign. Man, I like this on a lot of levels. Uh, you know, I love bacon so much. You know, I think I dislike vegans as much as I like bacon. I'm kidding. I'm joking. I really don't care what people eat. Uh, but it's more, uh, it's more like when I meet a vegan, we just start on such opposite. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like, you know, I'm a carnivore bacon eating son of a bee. Yeah, I'm not really love your mom. But like, all the context here. But like, and then to meet someone that immediately, we start right off the bat with being complete opposites on what we eat. It's just a little getting off on the wrong foot. So it's less, and I don't even judge them for it. No, I don't care less what anybody eats. Yeah. But typically it, the planes with which you reside on are very different. No, I was vegan for like a year, um, for like health stuff. I was like, I was like just trying it. Um, and I made it a year. And I was like, I can't. It was also like the most unhealthy I've ever been because Oreo's repeat. I like the Mediterranean diet. That's how, you know, like, that's the thing for you. You get, you can eat meat on that, you know, fish and fish and all that stuff. But that makes sense to me. Yeah. But just going pure, I don't know. Also, there's something in like my dad read some articles. He's a big health guy. There's something in like bacon grease. That's really like, it's a different kind of protein. I don't know, but it's supposed to be really good for you. So my dad was like, I'm at bacon. It's on the better. There you go. You forget coconut oil. It's bacon grease. You know, like, I mean, it's just like, yeah. You know, you eat it. It's like slathers on you. You know, like, so good. Like the popping, like, the cold. Everything is in the cold. One of us, and it's usually Nicole, she's, uh, I mean, we're both up at the same time, but she's like up and functional. Right. She's usually frying the bacon. I usually make the pancakes. The boy get bacon pancakes on Saturdays usually. I love it. And so the house smells like bacon all day. So lovely aroma. So good. Nothing like it. I won't say this. From marketing standpoint, it's brilliant because, look, it's just makes so much sense. It's like leans right into the contrary of what it is. And they've like pixeled out the bacon on the ad to make it look like it's, you know, like a nude almost. It's very funny. Yes. Very smart. Very smart marketing. Sticking with our, our meat theme, um, McDonald's double dips on the stager with a farewell tour for the McRibb. You McRibb guys. Double dip the chip. Those time filled with fans out there. Don't double the chip. I always hear it. I mean, there's certain things like others that I got it. I'd see a lot. You didn't know they're from side. Oh, that's iconic. But, uh, yeah, I never liked the McRibb. I've never had one. You know, there's some people that love that shit. I just don't know if I'm a grip cabin. I appreciate the, uh, the nostalgia that's been around forever. But, uh, are they really, going away with it forever? Or is it just like the temporary? Listen, after the Twinkie or deal, I don't ever trust a brand that says they're retiring products. Twinkie dead or whatever. Right. And then they brought it back. The planters peanut. Yeah, exactly. But they have, uh, like shop online. And they've got items priced as low as 99 cents. Um, available through. Right. Nine cents per cheap. Right. McRibb said, like a dollar or a dollar on you. Exactly. I don't know what goes in that regret. I'm not sure about that. You know, who knows? Yeah, McDonald's. Yeah, I can't. Mystery. That's good. That's good. Yeah, you know, look, McDonald's marketing is always good. They're always like leaning into something and it's one of the biggest brands on iconic brands in the world. Uh, so who's, who's to tell them what to do? But what's interesting about some of the choices with these fast food chains and the way that they're marketing is like when I was a kid, you know, which 10, 12, whatever many years ago, it was like fast food still felt so new and like they were trying to be so groundbreaking. And I think it's so interesting. And I love that now it's all play on nostalgia and like back to the 90s, back to the 80s, which I think is just a very, you know, they need to bring the damn characters back though. Right. Where's the hamburger? I mean, are we really so politically correct? What was the purple one? What was the purple one? Yeah, like the, I don't know, the blob, whatever he was, all of us coming to the B. You know, and then Ronald McDonald, is he like he does a clowns? Who knows? Is that the scares that why? Is there something creepier? Bernie, the early bird. Yeah, like what about where are those characters coming back? Those guys are creepy. The hamburgers creepy. You know, the hamburgers calming. Yeah, it's fun. They should bring them back though. I mean, like Jack in the box has the, the Jack thing, I really hope this is not a politically correct thing. Like if there's, I don't think it is like the hamburger. Oh, he's stealing burgers. How could you have that? This is a bad example. You know someone says that someone say that. Probably bad example for children that he's stealing burgers. But I don't think that's why they're not. I'm like, frankly, googling things. Yeah. I mean, there aren't a lot of mascot, you know, characters now, because I think they just like got a little bit overdone, maybe a little bit creepy. Yeah. I think it's like the same thing. Too late, man. Cool. Yeah, you know. That was good. That was good. Bust through the brick wall. Yes. Yes. That was great. Iconic busing. Oh, yeah. These budgets. I have no idea. But that is funny. You don't, you don't see. He just breaks through the brick wall. He's the coolest guy. I don't know what the hell that was supposed to signify. But he, he come bust. There's no, no rhyme or reason to it. But my god, if you remember, and you remember, I haven't seen that commercial in 20 years. I remember it. Maybe because I've been marketing or just weird. I don't know. It's because it's good marketing. Yeah, yeah. But it is interesting. It's kind of like a super much man's average. Kind of the same thing. Next one, everything again, it's always food-related. Yes. Oreosens, which is a whole other conversation, but they've partnered with Microsoft 365 to encourage workers to take a snack break. This is fun. Consumers can visit a designated landing page to receive a thin invite in their inbox that will block off two to two 15 p.m. Eastern time on the calendars from November 1st through the 3rd for a snack break. And then it links to a Microsoft Teams event, which watches, like, you can watch a video of a puppy. Well, you eat your Oreosens. Puppies and kids. It's the cells. I like this play, but let me just say this. Oreos got like covered on all angles here. Because now you got, you can buy those old Menorios that are literally, you know, like, for inches, it's all mega stuff. Now I got the fins, which is a mistake. I need more, more cream filling than the fins got, you know, like, I love the mega stuff. Right. The double stuff is where it's at. Yeah. Perfect ratio. Yeah, double stuff is our good love. I love without the cookies. Hey, oh, yeah, I'm Tom. I like the golden Oreos. Yes. Yes. Thank you. Thank you very much. That's the elite cookie. I really do like sweet, but I just stay away from, so I don't get fat. Maybe that's what I think I've just made myself told myself I don't like them. But then every dessert we talk about, I'm like, I do like that. I do like that. But I keep them away. And know what has more real power than me. Because if you come into my house with four kids, do you know how many different freaking snacks there are in our cabinet? Like I have the greatest willpower ever. Now I might have a few m&m's at night, but like, but I bypass like 47 other like, yeah, I can't find options. No, I like living alone. Like I learned very quickly. I was like, oh, like, I'm the only person who's eating it too. It's like, you don't have four kids. And I'm like, oh, no. Yeah, you buy it. It's the whole cake. I have to bypass it. It's there. Right in my physical presence. Couldn't do it. Yes. Couldn't do it. I mean, this is a cool crossover. I, it seems like a little bit of a reach, but you know, it's cute. It's cute. It's cute. They invite. Yeah. Two to fifteen. I get it. Watch a puppy. Yeah. We did a campaign. We're a Cardi there where we're like, we could tell you all about cars. Instead, we're just going to show you these puppies and crushed it. It like, we should puppies play. That's so good. And listen, it got the click through. It was like the highest it ever got. That's so good. I love that. We could try to give you a generic Cardi there, but instead, we're just going to show you this 10 second. Yeah. That would have worked on it. He's playing. And I would have remembered the car too. It was like it's publicly stumbling around like going down slides and like it was cute. And click through it. It was ridiculous. I love it. So puppies and babies work. Always. Last article of the day. Coca-Cola. This is good news. A significantly ups marketing spend in preparation for a dynamic 2023. Can't believe we're near the end of 2022. Having significantly stepped up, it's consumer-facing marketing investments over the last three months. The drinks giant claims it has already seen this spend payoff in brands such as Sprite, which is now a $1 billion brand. Sprite alone is a $1 billion brand. Ding, ding, ding. Somebody gets it. One of the biggest brands in the world. Everybody's cutting back. They're spending more and they're getting ROI. Now it helps that they have a product that might be somewhat recession-proof. But at the same time, they're leveraging the pullback to get that means they break through more. Everyone else pulls back. You break through more. Get it? And Coca-Cola is a, I mean, they're, they are icons. Move the icons. I can't talk either. You're passing it on to me. Welcome to the show. Did you know that the very first time Santa Claus was ever seen in a red suit was on a Coca-Cola billboard? That sounds right. I think I did. Isn't that wild? Yes, it is wild. And I have not heard that fact to the long time that I do recall that. Because the first image, you know, right, and a night before Christmas, that poem is obviously what gave us the iconic image, but never not once in that poem doesn't mention anything about a red suit. And it was Coca-Cola that did that with their colors. And now that's all you ever see him in, which is fascinating. That is fascinating. And what's really fascinating is Coca-Cola smart. Look, seemingly stepped it up. Look, next year is going to be weird. And I think I don't think it's like just spin, willy-nilly. Like just, oh, yeah, it's been more. I'm not saying that. But there's going to be some real opportunities for brands to break through because there's going to be pullback. And I think there's going to be some value positioning for brands that may not always have the opportunity to stand out. I think there's going to be some deals in media. And I think those that are bold will win. It's just the way it goes. And you know, it's going to be interesting for some luxury brands on some levels. But I think if I'd be thinking about positioning, secondary products, different things like that, a lot of these companies have sub brands, different brands now. So like layering that stuff on. But I think Coke's been really smart this year with their marketing. I didn't really love the new campaign. Like something magic. I don't know. It was a little fru-fru. But I think the tactics have been better than maybe the overarching campaign. My opinion, you know, we've all got one. But just like you said, I couldn't believe that just bright a lot was worth a billion. Wow. I like had to double check that. So I was like, that's put damn. Yeah. You know, I can't imagine being a brand and having like one facet of my brand being a billion dollars. I didn't really like the Coke energy. It went by the way side. Like I said, it would. How do you're in Africa? It came out. I said, you're going to watch this from being on middle shelf. I view to the the Bobo shelf on lane four. And sure enough, it's on every value. I think I saw it at the dollar store the other day next to the coke coffee. And yeah. So they do just do you buy like freaking bang or like one of the established names. Like yeah, I think they may have already been bought by Pepsi. But one of the and I think that's really good to try to make coke. I don't know. No cross the brands. Keep it separate. But yes. I think that's all we got. So we got for today. Their last podcast of October. I know. Bit of sad news. Christina is going to be leaving us next week. Probably last episode. Yeah.
