 And now they're talking about something called MR, mixed reality, which is a little bit of both.
 McDonald's wants to bring its restaurants into the metaverse.
 What?
 No way.
 I guess you go into the metaverse and make the order and then it delivers to you at your door.
 I will say this.
 The one thing about podcasting that is kind of hard to do is there's not really a community aspect for like direct feedback.

 And then we had our biggest clients here, like the day after I got back.
 And so, which was great to have them.
 It was been a little bit of like a whirlwind.

 It felt like, I don't know, like seven resorts in one.

 Like they had these individual buildings that all have pools and check ins.
 So it really is like, I don't know, like seven units in one all on the beach.
 And they all have themes.
 Huh.
 Like there's a French place and Italian place and Mediterranean.
 And they all have their separate check ins and stuff.
 You share all the amenities.
 It's like 21 restaurants.
 I was going to say probably have their own individual restaurants.
 Yeah.
 And so you, there's 21 restaurants on site.
 Oh, uh, 45,000 square foot water park.
 Geez.
 Um.
 And it was like.
 The kids had a blast.
 It was like Disney World, like a water park that was the Disney, like a miniature Disney World.
 And they're, they're old enough to where you can kind of let them.
 Yeah.
 We let them go.
 And we kind of hung out.
 So the old one to watch.
 The last one.
 Yeah.
 So, uh.
 Yeah.
 And, you know, it just been grinding away all the week.
 You know, I was in grind, bro.
 Rising grind.
 Do you, uh, do you venture off, uh, territory when you're there?
 No.
 Not if we'd have been there for like seven to ten days, we were there for four nights, five days
 or there's so much to do on the resort.
 Yeah.
 And with the beach there too.
 Yeah.
 Um, the beach is beautiful.
 There's a white sand blue water.
 It's like, you know, and it's actually you can get in.
 Some of those Caribbean islands, even Mexico can be kind of rough.
 C-W-E-D.
 It's beautiful.
 Yeah.
 But you don't, you get in much there.
 The water's pretty calm.
 You can get in.
 It's sweet.
 Sounds very nice.
 I'll have to put on your list.
 And you get there direct from Charlotte.
 So, uh, very easy.
 Two and a half hour flight.

 But they did release on Twitch a concert from like 98.
 I want to say.
 Wow.
 It was like a while ago.
 It was like before they were the, even like the electronic, like, middle helmets and stuff
 like that.
 So, uh, yeah, one time only release.

 So we missed it.

 But, uh, I saw that.
 I was like, all right.
 And then you walk in with a daft Punk t-shirt.

 I think so I have a picture of my son sitting on my lap at maybe his first or second birthday

 I've got the receipts yes yes it's been a good week we had William Brannum on the podcast on
 Tuesday that released for more Navy 26 years Navy seal she served 26 years 10 9 or 10 deployments
 uh I'm out owing him a dead of gravitude yeah gratitude uh and gravitude and gravity the gravity
 of the gratitude we uh that's not very good yeah you like spending it around my own miss my own
 tripping over the words that turned into uh for positive yeah but William was awesome he
 owns a company called naked warrior CBD products okay and does a lot in the area of CBD and therapies
 and different things for uh former soldiers and stuff sure and so uh really great guests
 doing a lot of great things and you know it was real transparent about what it takes to be a Navy
 seal which is uh being a badass yeah I can't imagine he's just describing what you go through
 and I asked him I was like how many people could actually do this and he's like uh you know probably
 he actually might could make it maybe more than you think but how many actually get through it
 not many yeah no that's pretty elite group yeah I never I could never yeah I probably wouldn't last
 five minutes for being I'd be like give me a pool I got pools cold yeah much less like making you
 uh almost drowned yeah and uh like unlock yourself under the water at 10 feet pass on that yeah
 stay on the ground stay on the firm surface here yeah so uh he was great next week pace morbby
 he's uh the lead guy on triple digit flip okay I'll call him I guess the host or lead
 cool man reality is he triple digit flip he does some really unique ways for buying houses
 and you know showing how you can make money buying houses with no money down and it's not just
 like that no money down guy from back in the yeah the new little tiny newspaper ads
 we're that guy yeah newspaper ads no money down little tiny ads little tiny ads
 really an infomercial yeah I never thought it made me sense like what are you doing yeah little
 well he's not doing that he's actually buying and selling houses and doing showing you how to buy
 it with no money down doing a foreclosure called sub two is what it's called the type of financing
 he does but uh really cool guy pace was awesome very like probably the most thoughtful guess
 we've ever had really like just very easy but like complimentary and like he'd done his homework
 on the show and really just I don't know just really good guy that seems uh I'm gonna listen to that
 because I mean if that's if that's a good way to make a little bit of it's a lot of good knowledge

 the emo flows so uh but yeah Spencer is out there the him they've gotten they're kind of blowing
 up on tiktok and then Heidi is they're blowing up on on tiktok him and Heidi got into a little groove
 and doing a lot of stuff then he's doing a couple different like online reality shows like so it's
 he's out there yeah I saw there was an interview with him talking about something about the hills
 where he some date that he went on the on the hills was fake or something like that I don't
 know everybody's name on the hills but yeah some girl how can we all we can't all know I can't
 know everything yes everything all the ones jeez and hallelujah I try you try you do try I do so
 hard well I think we should get to it okay it's time for another absurd holiday there's no shortage
 of dumb things to celebrate red cast social media holiday segments yeah
 tab tab let it play through so social holidays this week we've got one two three four days
 and quite a few big ones to get to okay once you can't miss important ones important ones they're
 always important Joe and these are for the big ones okay um today February 25th is national
 chocolate covered nuts day you know okay that's a good one to start with I get your nuts covered
 in chocolate where I'm up in chocolate what do you have that Don do you I don't know that I was
 looking for that up as before the show is like where do you get your nuts covered I was talking
 yeah yeah and I was looking for the you know like the coating chocolate sure this stuff that
 turns hard like you don't want to just chocolate like melted you want it to like you want the
 stuff the magic shell yeah that's what we wanted magic shell coating all your nuts you can't
 get the butterscotch it's gotta be the chocolate yeah yeah but because chocolate covered nuts day

 one of those metal ones so you can break a tooth on it yeah those are the worst those are the worst
 see the the paper ones that dissolve into your drink and like in your mouth while you're in it's like
 oh so they make straws out of I've I've actually had a little experience with this they make them
 out of like pasta like you could buy straws that are made out of like long tubes of pasta okay which
 is quite weird yeah they've made a lot of advances there's like yeah one oh like we're good yeah
 or DVD laced yeah we're just be a big boy right just drag you without it yeah you know how do you
 get it I mean you gotta have a straw yeah not really and sometimes in restaurants I'll use a straw
 just to depending on how clean the restaurant looks if it looks like you know yeah then pop a straw
 that's in case you know pop a straw pop it and just pop a straw pop a straw that's
 a tomorrow pop a straw that sounds like a rapper pop a straw pop a straw pop a straw like pop a
 sort of yeah that's a great rap DJ pop a straw oh that sounds a town you kind of pop a DJ pop a
 big pop a straw and they're going with this big poppy straw a big pop a straw David Ortiz
 yes straw a lot of straws so there's your three days today chocolate covered nuts day
 national Klimtowder Day and national skip the straw day well I'm gonna get some magic what's it
 called magic the the chocolate covered nuts stuff magic shell magic shell you just said it yeah

 I think cold works your ass off like she's doing stuff after school and everything that's I'm
 usually just picking up like to go or crawl through something on the grill it goes not really cooking
 though so yeah yeah maybe you overstated it did I do it yeah I thought I was actually like he cooked
 this I cooked it I mean I'm not picked it up they let me in the kitchen and uh Applebee's and I
 cooked all this yeah I cooked all of it picked Applebee's it's also national pistachio day pistachio day
 on Saturday pistachio pistachio why are you pronouncing all that first talk earlier pistachio pistachio
 mm pistachio I love pistachios these pistachios

 like we should create a radcast day you know it needs to be on a thursday yeah every third thursday of
 of the month that's making multiple times yeah why not who's to tell us that we can't one day of
 the month is radcast day sure it's also national protein day get your protein sure or as my uh
 young my oldest son when he was young he called it protein okay i don't know why but

 read right my eyes are still like from laughing so yes it's uh monday um move on sure national chocolate
 souffle day a lot of desserts i know you got souffle strawberries chocolate cover nuts pistachios
 pistachios caluah clam chowder yeah clam chowder it's also national floral design day on monday the
 28th floral design day last day of the month right or 29 days yeah 29 no 28 days in February 29th
 leap year yep uh it's national tooth fairy day as well on monday okay so if you have too much of
 the souffle et cetera yeah we get the two very yeah exactly how much do kids get for tooth fairy
 now i five or ten bucks i would say five probably but it's been a while we had some we like
 poor nash like had his tooth like had to get pulled on shattered like two hour experience in the
 dentist he got a 20 spot yeah that one's worth that one's worth like I might have worked more than
 that gift card or something yeah yeah get out of free jail free card or something i don't know
 i think we used to get a dollar a dollar maybe yeah yeah yeah inflation
 yeah here we go um it's and finally monday february 28th is i'm doing that Friday's
 charity Sunday monday yes monday the 28th is national public sleeping day
 why is that homeless day yeah i think sleeping in in public i don't know when's the last time
 you slept in public maybe in a public sleeping day sleeping in public nick oh okay
 public sleeping day that's a great that's a great one i'm not gonna tell my kids about this
 they'll be falling asleep at school it's okay yeah national public sleeping day oh freaking kids
 there you have it it's time for another absurd holiday there's no shortage of dumb things to
 celebrate the red cast social media holiday segment yeah
 oh it's quite the adventure it's hard to get through that part of some left in a month's
 probably uh calua calua calua i think i already said i thought it was koala was because polar
 bear day was before it sure so they had these second guessing the spelling that's fair right
 that was the funny thing anyone could have done it anyone i'm glad i'm glad that happened
 yeah that was great yeah it was good good stuff all right yeah what's good now let's get to the
 important things right trends in the metaverse
 such as crisp clear yeah it's good like i was playing the piano it is
 yeah that's the synthesizer okay how does the pianos don't sound like that yeah i'd
 synthesizer would mm-hmm what's the thing thereman you know that is no you know what thereman is
 make that sound read my live sure no so our trends in the metaverse we've got several we have to
 get to these pick up the pace here sure so there is obviously a lot happening in the metaverse
 facebook's talking a lot about it and they've got something come out because you've got
 AR you got reality which is the world we live in sometimes regular yeah you've got
 VR virtual reality sure and now they're talking about something called MR mixed reality which is
 a little bit of both okay so technology that could allow a person wearing an MR headset to use a
 real-world object to trigger a virtual virtual world reaction like hitting a video game character
 with a real-world baseball bat Jesus is one of three types of extended reality technologies
 often associated with the metaverse augmented reality exists with mobile games like Pokemon Go
 but players cannot affect the digital world with a physical object that's true so virtual reality
 headsets like Oculus Merch users into a full-digital world where they can interact with the
 environment so facebook is working on these mixed realities where again you're in the VR world but
 you can use physical objects that have interaction and so you got the VR headset on let's say you've
 got a hammer right next to you sure you got to be careful with your hitting in the real world with
 your goggles on sure but in theory that action I guess it's tied to your motion and everything else
 and so here's my question would it be any like any hammer first a special hammer that you have to buy
 and it's a whole thing more details coming to sure not in the show notes but it sounds like
 it's being developed these mixed realities sure thank god yeah we can't get the real world right
 and somehow we're trying to here we go yeah you know create this mixed reality maybe that's maybe
 that's the great hope escape escape is that we you know screwed up the real world so much we get
 in this mixed reality maybe that's where uh I don't know peace lies wow that's deep was that deep
 that's a deep concept deep thoughts in the metaverse that maybe a new new little sound deep thoughts
 in the metaverse deep thoughts so let's you stew on that one uh McDonald's wants to bring its
 restaurants into the metaverse what no way McDonald's looks to be the latest brand to tap into
 growing interest in the metaverse they have joined they have filed trademarks for an entirely
 virtual metaverse restaurant that delivers your food IRL in real life well I don't understand
 what that means so I guess you go into the metaverse sure and make the order sure and then it
 delivers to you through door for real for real sure that sounds like mixed reality have overheard it
 yeah yeah right so uh McDonald's has plans for both a virtual and real world dining experience that
 doesn't even acquire you hopping off your game to order you were hanging out in the metaverse and
 you get hungry you don't have to put down your headset you all can do it McDonald's in place in order
 it arrives at your door a little while later a little while later yeah that's very interesting
 that's going to seem like real fast food which is typically pretty slow yeah yeah sure you know
 some some faster than others but yeah you're you're absolutely right yeah that's man that's
 how the hell does that work well I mean you it's it's all tied to the internet it's so different
 than ordering on your app I know it's the internet right I mean but you know I'm saying like what's
 everything getting right out right so you're in the metaverse and you order it's all connected
 so it's like ordering on the app but you're in a McDonald's in the metaverse so internet yeah okay
 well I guess my question would be like why not just go ahead and order it bite squad or whatever
 or Uber Eats because you don't want to leave the metaverse I wonder if Uber Eats has metaverse plans
 probably because then any restaurant is a virtual restaurant neck yep that's my top
 hey then Uber Eats could set up a food court and in theory you can order off the food court
 menu and have anything to lift huge a huge food court huge food court never ending every restaurant
 they have wow hey the times we've had man yeah this is when you don't want to leave the metaverse you
 want to stay in the metaverse like doing all that meta stuff you're doing so we could have even
 have mixed reality where you're eating your cheeseburger and you can see the cheeseburger but
 you're really eating it exactly right yeah it's coming it's coming she's yeah it means you can
 interact with others and even buy in real life IRLs no in real life oh yeah I said all the all the
 hipster say hip yeah like a big Mac without logging off yeah sure how to make it log on is what
 you're gonna log on later that big Mac the Wrangler is celebrating 75 years in business with a
 Mr Wrangler campaign that centers on the metaverse and a partnership with musician Leon Bridges
 don't know who that is get soul singer okay who helped conceptualize and choreograph the effort
 that didn't make her marketed walks will auction 75 animated icon tier non-fungible
 token he's always got this week through the platform each capture is one of Bridges dance moves
 and opens access to online communities you will have access to decentralized and a VIP pass to
 an invite only performance with the Grammy winner that will be at New York Fashion Week in September
 sure so you've got the physical and the digital you got the the digital asset of the dance
 and then you get the physical asset to the concert sure Wrangler is a to me and older brand right yeah
 they're trying to get hip more hip do people wear Wranglers yeah do Cowboys and stuff uh I know uh
 Nick they're they're in heart juniors a big Wrangler fan
 Brett farm maybe yeah I think he is there's that Haynes or something or both I don't know yeah
 they're trying to revitalize the brand here make it a little more trendy and I think it is
 getting a little trendier yeah I felt like I had some Wranglers when I was a kid maybe
 yeah you did but I've never I thought about to leave eyes sure well everyone had the I think I'm
 I may be wearing Levi right now I'm not I'm not 100% positive I think they're really
 it wasn't out of campaign I think they're Levi's it should have been yeah I mean you tell me you're
 the right yeah Levi's yeah call us yeah speaking of uh Levi's wearables my uh my hat that I'm
 wearing today if you're watching it's great up is uh mate I come to call branded bills I'm

 the TV they're bringing short form video feature to the big screen that lost a year ago tiktok inspired
 feed of funny videos had previously only been available on mobile devices it serves the way for
 to introduce netflix users to new shows movies and comedy specials though they may want to watch
 so I guess it was just kind of a more a vertical video format sure they're gonna reposition it for
 the television I think I've seen that on the on the mobile app you have fast laugh it's like a

 have to look it up yeah are you big netflix you netflix I do I will so I watch there's a couple
 things I watched pretty religiously over and over in trailer part boys is one of them that's on netflix

 god yeah this this second half of season four is coming out I think April 23rd or something like

 enjoying it sure I did fall asleep watching it last night but it was not really a reflection of
 the show and it happens more reflection of me being tired sure um moving on hmm get

 come back is that right yeah I like that is that true I like that headline um but today
 LinkedIn is announced that it's getting in on the podcast gold rush yeah they're right here
 with redcasts gold rush by launching the LinkedIn podcast network news of the launch rise during
 a moment of steep growth for LinkedIn and the podcast industry yes it has an advertiser supported
 pilot program created in partnership with Verizon aims to transform podcasting into a more
 community oriented industry hmm so we might have to get the radcast on there I was going to say
 we'd be perfect that'd be perfect for that right yep LinkedIn hopes to make it easier for listeners
 to engage with creators and vice versa I will say this vice versa vice versa vice versa
 my my French bestassio very good very good ding so uh I will say this the one thing about
 podcasting that is kind of hard to do is you know you we have our data we know people listening
 we have our website where people can certainly send stuff and we get DMs on our social channels okay
 but there's not really a community aspect for like direct feedback like of episodes and like
 like that want like a forum so to speak sure forum is for them and so if they could bring that to
 life where the community and the engagement between creators which we are sure and the audience could
 be pretty interesting don't know how that will come to life exactly but I do think there is a lot
 of white space for that yeah and I like I'd love like interacting with like on live or whatever I
 love that stuff and I think that's probably the next phase for us is figuring out we're working
 through it like the live you know doing this is a live show yeah maybe fielding questions that
 those sort of things so we did it we I mean we did sort of do it yeah right yeah I mean sort of
 sort of keyword being sort of yeah yeah sort of we'll get it back we'll get back to it
 but yes so we'll see where LinkedIn goes with the Verizon partnership little live Verizon
 partnership I don't know if it's just 5G LTE thing I don't know what what the
 Verizon part is yeah if it's just a sponsorship but we're doing it together well we'll see
