My kids are spending probably $50 a month on their tokens in Roblox, so that shit ain't free. We'll smith slap the shit out of Chris Rock. Sure, I got that a good one. It just is a pack of sunglasses. Yeah, it's a good day. Tell a lie that. That's another reason one. I feel like it's fun that that comes after April Fools. Yeah. They're kind of in tandem. You're listening to the rad cast. If it's radical, we cover it. Here's your host, Ryan Alford. Hey guys, what's up? Welcome to the latest edition of the rad cast. It's Friday April 1st, 2022. April Fool's Day Joe Hammer. I know. Christina Yasi. What's up? Here we are. We're here. That's for sure. You'd be fooling. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you. Yes. Yes. How is everyone? Good week. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Great. Exactly. Do it. Wow. I don't care. You love sports. I'm getting into it. Yeah. I had a rehearsal last night with the Greenville Triumph. Because my play is about a soccer team. So I had my ass kicked for the first two hours. So you literally tried out for the soccer team? No. They came in and worked with us for a rehearsal for the stage. But in there, like a women's soccer team coming? Yeah. They were the ones that came in and worked with us. Oh. It's the lady's triumph. I don't think so. I think it's just the triumph. The triumph. Yeah. It's just a women's division. Lady triumph will be a little. A little questionable. A little sus. Yeah. But they were great. Sus. My 12 year old said that like all weekend. Sus. Sus. Sus. Sus. Sus. Sus. Sus. Sus. Sus. Sus. Sus. Sus. Sus. Sus. Sus. Sus. Sus. Sus. Sus. Sus. Sus. Sorry, I didn't see anything like that. No. I didn't see anything like that. Feeling better than that, I haven't seen the software, there are several of them in their YouTube videos. Yeah. And sort of interesting realический really. Uh you know one guy in the front house and conversation with a lot of fans looking I said something sort of funny, not really funny. What even that good? What even that good? And I saw Will Smith, walking on stage, I was like, they got a bit, this is something. I thought it was staged, I really did. And then even when he's swaying and turned around, I guess that was supposed to be funny. It was very theatrical, it was the slap, too. Yeah, it looked like he napped. It looked like he hit his own chest to make the sound. It did not look like it meant. But in hindsight, he did hit it. In his face. In his face. Chris took it pretty well, though. He did that for the most. Yeah, I mean, I don't know, like people were like, oh, I wouldn't take that. I thought Chris handled himself as good as he possibly could. He's obviously disturbed it through him off a little bit. Yeah. But a pro's pro kind of handling it. And I don't know. Like Will's, I'm not gonna judge anyone. I can't imagine, it got some weird shit going on. You gotta deal with that. But like there's, he's got some pain and some suffering. And so I'm not judging, even though I'm condemning what he did. I'm not judging, because we all have low moments. But, sure, damn it. We don't have him on national television now. Right, I just don't take place in, you know, live. Right, in billion-dollar parties. I don't know what I would have done if it, on which end, if I was Chris Rocking, because I don't, I can't imagine doing that other thing. Even if I was super mad, I think I would have been too, like, just nervous or scared to get up and walk across the state. It wasn't like he was right there. No, he walked like a 30, 40 feet to get to home. No, no, turn a slap, fix his shit, and go sit down. What do you do? And then keep heckling, and then win, and then he wins. That was dog shit. I didn't even see him win. Like I, I was like, number one, I was entertaining to watch it. And number two, I was like, nothing will ever be as interesting as that was, so I flipped it back to whatever else I was watching. And they just let him talk, they didn't play him off or anything. He just stood there and cried, and cried, and talked, and talked, and talked. And I think if I was Chris Rock, I would have been sitting there. And I was like, fuck you. I was talking about right. Or like called for a curse, make or something. Yeah. I just can't believe anyone else get allowed to stay there. Like, you know, if it wasn't someone as big as Will Smith. Right. Like if this was just, you know, a B-level actor, are they getting, like, carted out? Well, they probably wouldn't have been there if they were B-level. Well, no, but they are. There's a lot of people there. Right. Like, let's recognize. Let's recognize. Yeah. Right. Well, I've read something where they said, they asked him to leave, and he refused. Like, how does that work? Yeah. I mean, if you want him to leave, you can get him right now. Right. Right. Get the police or security, whatever. Get him to fuck out. Right. Chris Rock is not going to press charges. No. It's too much of a hassle. Why would he? What's he going to do? Like, yeah. That's the point. Yeah. The point. Look, look. It's just going to make him look. He looks like the big man. He looks like the better man here. He looks like Chris Rock. Chris Rock. I agree, Roof. He's handling like a man. Like, don't get me wrong. Someone slapped me. I probably wouldn't have been his classy, but I give Chris Rock a lot of credit for it. Yeah. I would have at least said something like, fuck you. I didn't think he was in shock. I didn't see you. Yeah, I might have been in shock, too. And then like. Yeah. And it is, it's that performance brain where it's like, there are people watching. Yes. There are people watching. Yeah. A lot. Yeah. Well, not as many as you. I mean, let's be honest. I mean, I think it's because ratings are pretty shitty. Sure. Sure. It's still live around the world. I know. I'm kidding. I guess the Japanese broadcast did not like bleep out or silence it. And either in Australia they didn't either. That's what I went looking for on Twitter. Yep. I was like literally, immediately. Where is the real footage? Where's the real footage? And it showed up about 10 minutes later and I was like, that was real. Yeah. I wasn't watching it. I was watching something else, but I looked at my phone and saw like an alert. And like went and watched a video and I was like, what the fuck? Is that real? I mean, it's pretty late at night. I was like, am I asleep? But what's going on? Yeah. It was weird. And then I actually went to sleep. And then the memes happened so quickly. Oh, all of a sudden I was like, how? Everybody. How did this happen? I made one. Yeah. I put it on my story. I was like, I made it about the final four though. Sure. Because the games on Sunday were so fucking terrible. Yeah. And I'll put, like, Will Smith was UNC and Duke or whatever. Yeah, yeah. And then, uh, the other, the other was Chris Rock. Yeah, okay. Yeah, they didn't get close. That was a little disappointing. Yeah, you just won good games at that point. Right. You know, that was like a 3040 point plot. Yeah. It's like, they talk about all this parody. And then you've got Duke, North Carolina, Villanova, and... Who's my leaving out? Not Miami. No, Duke. Oh, Kansas. Kansas. Kansas, Kansas. Kansas, Illinois. Kansas, Illinois. Kansas, Illinois. Kansas, Illinois. Kansas, Illinois. Kansas, Illinois. Kansas, Illinois. Kansas, Illinois. What makes you look good? I don't know. Just been around for a long time. Yeah. Kentucky's my team, so this has been a pretty disappointing. One and done. Yeah. Yeah. My bracket. Not busted. Yeah. Oh, my God. Day one, I think. What do you do? You win some. You lose most, you know? In your case. Sure. I didn't... I don't think I won some, though. I had the world's first imperfect bracket where I missed... I missed every game. Wow. Every game. I feel like that takes more skill. Yeah. That's pretty good. Not really. That'd be just as hard, right? I would think so. Because it's one way or the other. Yeah. So we've had a good week at Radical. We could talk about the old Will Smith slap for hours. Sure. The slap heard well in the world. Around the world. Heidi Cortes joined the show Tuesday. We've got good feedback on Heidi. She was very transparent, sharing her business journey. And we talked to fight game next week. I can't opinion too. She was an up-and-coming UFC fighter. Female fighter. Who heard her about a month ago? Very interesting. And about the backstory of UFC. About her kind of career path. You know, and I don't know. I think I was a little intimidated. Like she might come through the screen and take my ass. Yeah. But, you know. The only Will Smith does that. Yeah. That's probably pretty tough. No, but really cool. She's a contender. She's like number five in her rankings in the world in her division. She's top ten. So, uh, legitimate contender. And it was just fascinating talking, you know, how big the... Not only UFC's gotten, but the women's side and how popular it is. Yeah. And I think... I don't know what it is about. I think it's just the rawness of it that, you know, makes UFC popular. It's like, you know, you're in the freaking octagon, like cage fighting. And then women in there, like doing shit that, like, just pounding on each other, like guys do. Yeah. And being technical, like, with moves and... I don't know. Holds and... Yeah, I know. Because the women's are, like, even having main events now. You know? Like, it's like the... It's cool seeing... I don't know that crossover, but I don't know why... I think it's that rawness maybe, why boxing maybe hasn't had that same appeal or something. But the women's division on UFC, certain fights have way higher ratings, even the men's. Yeah. That... Ronda, right? You can think Ronda Rousey for that probably. Yeah. Probably. Yeah. But Raquel Pinnington on Tuesday, fastening discussion on her business journey, her marketing journey, and social media, helping her blow up. She was on the... The UFC show. I'm forgetting the name of it, but where contenders come on. And they can... It's called... Make it on the show. It's called... You know what it's called. Fuck. I don't know. But anyway, if you want to learn, come on and watch Raquel Pinnington on Tuesday. So, yes. I'm thinking about nothing. Don't talk to me anymore. I'm going to think about that until I figure it out. I know. It's like right here. Oh. Fight club. Yeah. It's a fool. Okay. Oh. My lips. No. Yes. It's good time as any, because I did get a tracking number yesterday on... Are you being stalked? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. ift. Uh. So what now? So. Maybe it's gonna be a live News clip or some like a long time. We are going to våra added that has. Maybe For know Yes, It's probably is and we provide them and you can get them for 20% off not there's anything wrong with that exactly sure exactly like whatever how does I want to offend anyone another absurd holiday there's no shortage of dumb things to celebrate radcast social media holiday segments yeah perfect yes and while I was trying to get better every time we've got this is a white load this is gonna be our fastest social media holiday segment ever ever I don't know what it was there's just not many early April social holidays April first being today is there's two days today April fulls day yeah I'm just looking around the corner waiting for pranks yeah it's a little bit of a lot of water or something Nick tried to prank us early you know he got us a little bit a little bit he got like an eye twitch yeah a little bit this is gonna be like oh hallelujah yeah and then it's walked to work day did y'all walk here oh my god I thought about it but the rain is so far from my house do you live close you don't live close to here it would be like a 30 minute walk it's not bad that's you it's very far from my house I would be here tomorrow probably yeah April second first one's a serious holiday I did want to mention it we do have fun on the show but it is world autism day on Saturday yeah so I've had family impacted by that and I think you know we have fun on the show sure so all anyone out there doing with that it's a good time to various awareness for it's because a lot of people have have family members or maybe siblings yeah so yeah teachers yeah especially teachers my wife being in the school system deals with a lot of kids have to go through that just a treatment like this this you know it's just a unique you know because they're not again it's just it's just hard to diagnose it's hard to know exactly how to treat and make them feel comfortable and do all these things so I thought you meant autistic teachers oh no I was like seriously is that a big thing yeah probably yeah there might be some some they might be nice I functioning yes April 3rd national DIY day Sunday so get your hammers out the right nails see that moment I heard national DUI day and I was like wait a second wait a second yeah driving under the influence yeah pretty easy yeah right and you do it yourself so in a way yeah DIY DUI sure yeah but you celebrate that every day let's be honest do you I do yeah I'm here I'm right here I had a couple of my friends why you should walk that's right perfect yes call back what I did comedy you know w-i-y walking under the influence to be clear I do not have any DUIs have you seen the tiktoks like the DIY tiktoks and they're like horrible tiktoks yes like you put a calendar over your head and cut someone's hair through it yes they're very funny yes I have seen someone there's the guy that makes fun of it who I think we talked about last week yes who yes who got hired by Pepsi sure they can't pronounce his name can't pronounce his name so get out there and celebrate DIY sure do it yourself day what do you do it yourself do it do myself oh it's a world party day oh boy hey Sunday Sunday oh April 3rd day throw party why so party hey Sunday fun day that's true yeah the Lord's day also that maybe sure uh I can't think of another Sunday thing world party day so another reason to have a party I don't know if I'm gonna be partying too much this Sunday yeah that depends on you and see for me quite frank sure he wins the game yeah who you pulling for heels heels heels baby go Duke I don't really care I would say both I care deeply can they both lose is there a possibility that there's a time they both get knocked out no no no well I don't know the rules it's fraught though because it's coach case last season it is I don't care about that I do finally April 3rd moving on uh find a rainbow day oh like literally a world party day and find a rainbow day it would be a good day to find a rainbow probably right somewhere over the rainbow oh boy oh boy hey uh yeah find a rainbow day Sunday I don't know what to do with that one but uh go find a pot of gold yeah you know April 4th it's a good day tell a lie day oh I saw another easy one I feel like it's fun that that comes after April fools yeah like they're kind of in tandem I wouldn't be today of Friday and Friday's April fools and then April 4th you just get off lying yeah you know it's not a joke anymore it's delicious it's not like it's a drama on TV it's not a joke anymore it's not a joke anymore it's good tell a lie day and uh lastly on April 4th hug a newspaper person Nate news person day news person day newspaper person day news newscaster it's a literal person made of news paper and you just hug it yes news paper person day like there's still people who have delivering the news paper like in the bike or whatever you're on newsboy give him a hug hug a news person day hug a news boy yeah a newsy oh my god like the musical that's illegal there's your social holidays with that we're just going to transition right into it trends in the metaverse better huh clean up a little bit a little bit clean trends in the metaverse this week I like I like a few of these some of my hate some of my like I like this one quervo Jose quervo anders the metaverse with the virtual Jose quervo quervo distillery so we have a distillery alcohol brands are increasingly viewing the metaverse not only it's a place to advertise but also for brand education virtual bars distilleries and breweries provide a space for consumers to interact with brands and learn about how their products are made yep so you can now get drunk in the metaverse with quervo where are your Nike I think they're gonna they're gonna build it into the Oculus goggles like to kill it wasn't to kill a shot in your mouth hey I mean that would get me on there right right right shot it to kill a metaverse yeah put it in there to kill a lot of people to that lure lure people to the kids yeah so metaverse can yes I've got to put some goggles on to go go to the distillery yeah no why not yeah why not kind of cool to see how it works yeah I would have to take at least a shot of Jose quervo before I did it right yeah right you have to I think that's that's recommended here it says at least six shots before going into the metaverse yes for a deeper more memorable level of experience yeah last memorable maybe yes crack out in the metaverse I know more effective yeah what we thought right getting drunk and about doing drugs in the metaverse like sure you know tripping this is a chance your chance quervo entering the metaverse so go check it out then say what platform one of many didn't hit the check figured out figured out I think if you Google you'll find it pro Jose quervo the distillery the first distillery in the metaverse so next NFT project spotlight RTFKT artifact we learned yes yes forgot about that is pushing the boundaries of the metaverse from sneakers to virtual avatars no company has ventured into as many realms of the metaverse as artifact prove it oh they're deep they're deep yeah in the metaverse like these what's so deep in the metaverse they came out the other side yeah they're they're like earth two it's just another upside down they're in China their initial game plan was to sell virtual sneakers and create hype through a variety of prominent collaborations I think Nike actually owns them now celebrities like Elon Musk also bought into the hype and purchased pairs of shoes at their first launch hmm such an Elon Musk thing to do yeah you know 100% yeah he's an early adopter strong Elon Musk energy artifact or whatever so they're expanding past just selling the sneakers and providing broader experiences artifact owned by Nike by the way we talked about that a few weeks ago good for them selling virtual sneakers which Christina last week said she's all for the dresses yeah I just think it's an interesting yeah you know cuz fashion's always it it typically does reflect what's going on culturally whether we give it that credit or not I found it fast thing what you said though about how and I found it that maybe think I was listening back at the episode and I was like how gotty and how like outrageous some of the stuff is that you you see it but you never wear like in the real world it's like cost per wear but you would put on your avatar because you're less inhibited baby yeah yeah cuz you can't damage it oh yeah yeah right you know yeah I can't spill wine on it right right which brings a good that's a good that brings up an interesting point with like you know our world is is kind of built on repeat purchases because things break wear out I buy new shoes I bought jeans in a digital world it's a fascinating discussion though because you don't have the wear and tear right and it's you know practical or will we or will they like your Nike sneakers you if you wear them too much in the metaverse there were the trends are wear it out you know that'd be probably I'd be complicated yeah that's how I think that's a good idea that way you have to keep buying them capitalism that is a good idea yes that is a good idea I wonder if they thought of that for some people you know people can't afford them yeah well if you can't afford them you're not gonna buy right we never be the metaverse yeah the latest probably a leotist oh my goodness I'm saying the metaverse the metaverse the metaverse I'm saying cheap that's what I'm saying it's a little more leotist okay I don't know if the metaverse is free or not to be clear nothing free the shoes you have to buy the internet yet to pay for and the goggles everything you take even roblox you pay to you know I guess for this console and the game and is there some subscription back let me just tell you this my kids are spending probably $50 a month on their tokens and roblox sure so it it that shouldn't free yeah so they use their allowance on that stuff it's like there you go my stuff on NBA and Fortnite and all that stuff exactly I get the email skin yeah for twenty five dollars on the PlayStation yeah seven times today hey hey oh that's what I do it's coming the wild world wild world of metaverse shopping the metaverse might be in its exploratory phases but retailers are ready to pounce so says this article at the shop talk conference here this week apparel companies forever for ever 21 impacts on should off their fledging forays and a metaverse shopping fledging fledgling fledgling fledgling fledgling it's all right you're doing good like it bigger words please flex flexing oh boy uh yes forever 21 partnered with social gaming platform roblox to enable customers to set up their own stores in a place called shop city so you can set up your own store did you get the metaverse they have not done that yet they might do it with packs on there you go that's it yeah I used to buy stuff at that store yeah you still do it I think so I haven't bought anything oh it's got a minute that banana hammock you you always sure I got that a good well it's just it's a pack right you know you know you wanted it used yeah no it's already stretched out you get them they're too tight you can't wear me got to wear my house yeah yeah I'm wearing a shower oh is a little loose had to close pin it in the back Nick help me out with that actually help me close pin it can reach it oh yes it's uh oh my god I'll wear it next time it's bright yellow I like it it's like I can measure glasses uh moving on oh god oh yeah it's pretty good uh moving on happy with it visa launches NFT program as it considers the digital art a new form of e-commerce credit card giant visas launched an NFT creator program in an effort to bring small business into the digital economy we think NFT represent a new form of e-commerce says visa the one year immersion program the visa creator program will bring together a global cohort of creators including artists musicians fashion designers and filmmakers with the ability to build their business within fte's hmm visa's helping small business get in on the metaverse I like how they introduced visa as the credit card giant like yeah like I wasn't sure it sounds familiar like when you travel in computer company you're right right just out just not the fruit yeah organic or not branding but fine yes I like it see how it goes um I'm not sure exactly how this comes to have the visa creator program but you know we get the radicals on their room I know so I'm thinking it's like trying to backdoor this thing yeah how we get in there backdoor of the NFTs in the metaverse yep uh that's what NFTs STDs yep good well banana hammocks oh boy Wendy you know washed it after I wore it the first time right yeah it shrinks it shrinks though we don't want to watch it too much yeah he gets shrinkage in the dryer yeah you know and burns as well yeah if you put it on quickly it burns a little more than it did before I washed it yes so Wendy's that's unveiling the windy verse oh boy that's clever windy verse restaurant within meta horizons world a growing number of brands are launching campaigns in metaverse now Wendy's hot on the heels of other campaigns is getting on the virtual action virtual huh yeah don't we all yeah get in on it virtually uh you know it's cool I like Wendy's what I kind of for for paintings working on maybe is right on it yeah right right on you um so this is going to be good I bet yeah I don't know what the hell meta's horizons world is I'm just being honest there's so many of these things yeah that's one of them but I have to assume it's one of the bigger ones and I might go check it out and get a Dave's single they make a bring Dave back to life oh in the metaverse in the metaverse hmm can avatars something about sure we can rebuild him yeah quite a guy it makes me you know show it makes me think of uh Westworld on HBO oh yeah yeah yeah yeah I could see that a lot of sex robots on that show yeah that's why I like it yeah well I mean it's be honest it's a good show it is a good show it's uh Hopkins was on there to begin with and then uh sure the one guy the main guy the black cowboy whatever name is man in black yeah he's yeah he's turning out to be like the I don't know hey talk but what's funny is I never get what show it was where you don't you you don't actually who's a robot who's real right that's what better it's turned into like hmm who's a robot who's not yeah I think everyone that's a theme in Battlestar galactica too oh my god with the silence yes and that's kind of how Westworld is you watch it and you're like now for three four seasons and you're like because some people are coming end up being one and then you're like now you're just like hmm maybe they're in robot two yeah am I a robot I think everyone's a robot in it and like but they think they're fully wanting one another because they're not they don't know that they're totally would you would you go to Westworld if they're if they were real oh absolutely yeah you can shoot one of them shoot whatever yeah yeah I don't I mean would you take your would you take your wife with you yeah sure would you she might shoot me be careful careful what you wish for buddy yeah we go shoot up some stuff sure Roba train or something Roba train was that five would you go to Westworld I don't know enough about it I've only I mean I'm familiar with it but I haven't watched it so that's why I'm being it's essentially they made a world where you can go and it's the start out as like a western world yeah to all west town but everyone there other than the the humans that are going on the ride is almost like going on a ride like you brought into the world you walk around you walk around and you're part of the western yeah there's no laws so okay you tuned to kill the robots that look like humans and like you can act like a complete asshole a lot of sex with robots yeah I do I do that's what I am most familiar with about it yeah yeah that's the consistently you are uh-huh acutely intimately oh yeah yes hey did you say moving honor yeah no I was actually gonna give it the old oh boy there it is up there we go delay the robots no those robots robots or the human human finger moving on to other news and moving out of trends in the metaverse yes I like I like this quite a bit okay pizza right struggle bus with the experiential push pizza us pizza that's struggle bus seeks to be the cure for the common struggle by giving consumers a respite from daily life with pizza in a variety of experiential activations the bus tour which includes plan stops are on March madness and college exams attempts to connect with consumers during months of stress and activity activity okay this is fun I like the struggle bus yeah that's pretty good about the pizza so pizza yeah it's like a food tracker struggle bus I'll do it yeah right only only if the inside of it is decorated like the old pizza hot restaurants were yes lots lots of checkers got a lot more in the middle oh yeah with the kale the red cuffs the red cuss from pizza hot are like the best I tried to buy one of the this is almost back to like the very first radcaster did they sold those all the plastic ones yeah yeah yeah yeah I tried to buy it out of stock devastating I know devastating you were on the struggle bus hmm I tried to get some it good well as well but yeah this is a good activation look people like I probably had more pizza in March than I can remember I don't know what it was with the games and everything else how do you not you just have to it's our wings yes or both I had a lot of nachos ah yes cool I like nachos I think that's the box oh yeah that's like the one thing our entire family likes is like nachos yeah my kids are still like picky eaters though eat the hell of some nachos not just a hug a nacho just like huh yeah even the nachos it like the ballgame where they're just the shitty chips and the cheese but those are the best so pretty good yeah it's like not cheese it's you know plastic basically mold me seriously I love them right definitely burn them up every time oh yeah can't wait yes what are you waiting for then he gets the film of nachos this is this is really aligning to stars okay to stitos really like this turns sounds of chips and jars into audio logos spoken word audio content listening is up 40% the past seven years this trend is largely fueled by the younger and multi-cultural listeners additionally there are approximately 86 million podcasts listeners in the US alone yes at least at least half of him probably right cast the popularity of such program have driven a need for brands to have a unique audio signature yes I don't get it audio signatures have become more prevalent years so the the crunching the t's t's and the jar opening is what though audio like sound effects like they'll have them they're gonna play them they're gonna use like if you if you like a brand ASMR yeah and if you're you know you have like we all recognize the Nike icon like the check mark sure sure and this is a this is the Nike swoosh yeah um and this is a yeah yeah you're right um I know trying to woman's plan over here I know but this is just like you know if this is the auditory signature I think it's really brilliant sure I like it I crunching the I understand what sound is and I understand the sound of a chip and sound of a jar they're gonna they're they're creating a branded memorable sound of like chips crunching or the jars opening or they'll use it probably in social media posts they'll probably do it when they do like when they become a sponsor tostitos we really like you on they love you sure we'll play those sounds before we maybe teed up the promo okay and it's a recognizable branded asset instead of just you know next time you do a party you should use tostitos goops kind of like really good like this sure that's a branded asset okay in the middle but it's just a lot of chewing sure okay lots of I definitely understand now we can keep talking about it no can we explain it some more right explain explain actually did that man in explaining a little bit so that's just explaining teamwork yeah sure I know we talked about this pre-episode and uh-oh quite interesting Dyson is betting you'll want to strap on an air purifier to your face yeah good strap Dyson's lots of strap on to your face uh they're launching a strap on your face and uh that's fine the maker of high and vacuum and air told on Wednesday unveiled headphones that double as a personal air purifier the new device called the zone is comprised of over the ear headphones and a visor that runs across the mouth and nose creating a clear and air clearing air bubble for the user while simultaneously blocking city to east so you block the noise you block the bad air there's a filter in it or something it's like a air filter on your face all right seems like a maybe a covid avoidor I don't know that's kind of what I'm wondering if that if it's just a they didn't market it is that but yeah sounds a little bit like it feel like they could have brought that out a year yeah could they want to be a little behind yeah it does feel a little European like this this I feel like will definitely European strap on yeah launched into your face yeah launched purification purposes Dyson vacuums I will say are are quite good so are there blow dryers well they have those things can speak to that bathrooms sometimes yeah yeah yeah intro infrared intro red and there's like low air really fast like more concentrated I think that they did a study in those things like not just germ killing as they say they are I you know I have no problem with Dyson I think our vacuum cleaner is Dyson so I'll support grand but I think this is I'm not putting this thing on my face no you know it's a lot it's a choice it's just it not only does it look ridiculous but I'm just not sure about all that shit on my face well and I typically wear my headphones if I'm like walking or jogging yeah I don't want to go jogging in it with a helmet on you know the guy in the gym that puts on the air reduction mask yes yes maybe like that guy permanently and then he got sunglasses on like yeah you look like a freaking terminator I mean I just are there sunglasses on the thing or you know there aren't I'm saying if you're you're too yeah yeah you look like Darth Vader hmm stop yes thanks Dyson I don't know strange strange play there yeah this is my Darth Vader breathing wow read my lips no sounds like Darth Vader she's spicy today yeah yeah spicy did you use them just he does no I didn't sleep oh good really yeah didn't sleep well not well no perfect sleep that well last night either mainly because I stayed up too late working on our report but I slept like a baby everyone oh I came and she's like why are you still awake no I started working on this didn't stop to like 2 a.m. Twitter collabs feature could make it possible for users to co-author tweets with brands you can collab on Instagram but what about on Twitter what about it what about it now we can the social network is continuing to work on a feature that will allow multiple users to co-author a tweet if you can't write it yourself you work with someone else which is referring to it as collaborations the opposite is yet to be made publicly available and only works after one user accepts a request to collaborate from another so it's exactly like Instagram exactly like it yeah yeah but still kind of like let's collab on writing this funky clever tweet I mean yeah tweet this right if you can't create a compose a tweet maybe just don't yeah you don't need to collaborate with you might need to collaborate with like a book or like a teacher or something yeah you know what I mean yeah I'm gonna get it I'm gonna start colliding with a ghostwriter for all my tweets sure you know it's me I'm the ghostwriter yeah no I need you're a writer yeah sure can you just start writing I'm gonna collab with you so yeah funny you're not gonna like it that's better than the tone of the mouth yeah well that's maybe yeah I know so yes coming Twitter collabs I I sort of get it but don't get it I don't know with the writing I have to wait see it I don't know I know it in one way it makes it the same thing is like Instagram but I feel like there's more of that natural engagement on Instagram yeah yeah like okay it's a picture and it's brand or it's a video you're doing live video totally and I guess you could do that on Twitter I don't know but it's the same thing like it it makes more sense for them to do this than to be like we're gonna set that part out you know like they I don't think they lose anything by adding the feature Joey and I use it all the time on Instagram because we'll post it like the yeah no caring videos and one of you you share you know audiences it's better for the algorithm and everything right that makes sense but I guess I could see this maybe if you collab like a branded sponsorship right and you're it's an ad but right right yeah I mean I might get on it should I get on Twitter I'm gonna get on Twitter I think you should I like yeah I think Twitter is worth having you'd be perfect for Twitter I'm gonna get on Twitter yeah you would be and you're witty I'll retweet you my problem is like thank you I just I don't know I think it's something and then I don't get on like I've I'm a complete consumer on Twitter a very little giver sure you know more of a taker moving on yeah uh in the least shocking news I wasn't gonna mention this because I don't want it to be bad for business but but we tell the truth you're on the radcast yeah social media might be bad for teens mental health at certain age windows this is interesting to me uh social media uses more strongly linked to bad mental health for adolescents and teenagers during years around puberty and when they're probably about to leave home so some very specific time periods not necessarily as a whole I think it's like that impressionable maybe stage sure yeah yeah yeah because they're not really home and not have that supervision I guess exactly yeah and it opens up comparison I mean it's part of me says if you taught your kid the right stuff that that they're gonna be okay yeah but then I guess the other side of me says they could have something in their brain that you don't know about it just you know what I mean yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah or whatever well and I when you're younger and more impressionable you like I have time limit set on a lot of my social apps because it will put me in a bad headspace at times yeah like depending on what's going on in my life um but I feel like if if you don't have you know the parental supervision and you are just like constantly consuming this narrative and constructing this narrative and it really is it creates a culture where it's all about you I can absolutely see how it might not be the healthiest maybe it's not particularly dangerous always but the health is an interesting argument I just I look social media is a big part of our business and like I support it yeah I see the benefits of it as a whole I love it but I do with as a father have kids and I go I didn't have the pressures of that when I grew up I almost wish I'm close you know and like I'm gonna not fight it but like I try I'm gonna try to keep them off of it as long yeah humanly possible right and even like I grew I had it I've had social media for most of my life but it's it's changed so much yeah and even when I was in high school the pressures and the the pressure of everything having to look a certain way and even not even yeah you know personally but a consistent aesthetic and we didn't have one yeah we didn't have if somebody you somebody had cooler stuff than you you just saw it right first hand you're like oh he's got a Mustang or whatever not for a shitty viewing right right you didn't care about likes or comments or you know didn't exist right it didn't exist my my son is dirt he's about to be 14 in May and he has TikTok but he has TikTok because he's in a bunch of our TikToks and stuff like that totally wants to watch it you're gonna have child labor you at least let them view yeah oh yeah that's how it works that's how you pay him he actually said he got recognized at school the other day some some came to him and was like oh are you in all those TikToks that's cool yeah played it off yeah nobody deal nobody deal um but yeah he doesn't have Instagram or kids don't do Facebook anymore I guess not typically my daughter doesn't have Facebook not typically yeah I deactivated mine it's Facebook's the one that you could just go look on to see if people are doing dumb shit I think right yeah I mean I think it's where the the is still where the most active people are like the most yeah like 53% of the world's on Facebook like literally but isn't that probably because it was like the first one it was but it's still the most active because I think just scale and people that are you know like I think it's more I guess you can you can do more on Facebook truly like yeah you know and not as it's a little more relational as opposed to like just following easier to use to do but yeah for older folks I think it's yeah well 45 to 65 it's definitely yeah Instagram is pretty much everything else and TikToks coming fast yeah so snapchat's not such a big deal anymore right it's still a deal still a deal but like 20 to 30 year olds yes yeah but not a ton outside of that I mean there's certainly I feel like snapchat's still had a hard time kind of shaking being a little bit questionable racy yeah just with with even though you can do the exact same yeah even though you can do the exact same thing on Instagram now I don't like to me snapchat's still kind of like like if a guy asked for my snapchat handle I'm like oh I would rather you didn't yeah if you're gonna get we interpicks getting those flex all that flexing the flexing yeah you'd copyright that or I think I'm going to okay well it's flexing yeah I would had a uh Tori Hill Muscle on the show yesterday as we're concluding here and you know we were texting and like a pre-episode made the joke about flexing sure you know I think you want to explain it I think it's a great idea well it's sending big some flexing muscles yeah with no explanation or even we're just like a brat you know you can you could do a flex yeah you could see just like a picture of your Rams or something yeah yeah yeah yeah I'm flexing yeah yeah I like that a lot copyright trademark right yes 2020 we're gonna make a sound bite of it yes and you could do whatever Tositos is doing yeah which I still no you understand it emotionally yeah yes we explain it well anything exciting to pass on to the listeners Christina Gossi as we close the door here um tickets for my show are on sale at the warehouse theater in Greenville South Carolina if you're around or if you want to fly in oh if you want to fly in yeah it's a great town it is we got the bridge and ship yeah up and up and coming up and coming yes up and come when it wins that uh we open April 22nd and we close May 7th and the show's only 90 minutes so it's not you know how many shows a day are we talking about one yeah one yeah yeah it is total breeze I don't do this professionally lots of stuff yeah yeah lots of soccer it's very funny too I'm not in I'm I'm also I saw some new uh material yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah we got so excited what that I think it's so excited when it pops up like I'm like yeah it's so weird too because like one will get hundred something thousand views then one will get like eight hundred thousand and then one will get like twenty thousand I'm like how does this work what does this out there I always think there are the funniest are the ones that don't do as well the man's trying to get you down with the algorithm I feel like yeah a little bit like as Denzel Washington would say when you're at your highest that's when the devil tries to bring you down sure sure yeah usually when I just don't slap anyone yeah and then you'll win an Oscar usually when I'm super high is when I see the devil so is that what he man or not is that man because yeah okay come on get out good then works out that was good oh goodness gracious the red cast oh the rad cast we've had a good
