We can do this show anywhere, you know. I'm multitasking on the road. You're in the studio. Indeed. I'm in your spot in the studio too. Different share, same spot. So watch it. We've got all, you know, rearranging a furniture going. Oh yeah. It's working. How's everyone today? Doing well. Doing great. It's a chilly rainy day here in G Vegas. Raining for a while now. The river is very high. You're missing that. It's almost flooded. I've been there many times before we clean that thing out that it did for us. So you haven't missing the real excitement. But it's been a good week. We've been transitioning to office over to social. Yes. Talk about that last week. Completely launched. So you're in Greenville. Come check us out. Get your lounge on. Get that membership. Come watch our come celebrate our national championship watch party in January. Yeah. Details to come. It is January 9th. January 9th. So and you can come even if you don't remember. Just a small cup. Exactly. There you go. Open everybody. So have you gotten your Christmas shopping done? Oh, you know, I have, I have like one, I got about a cold last thing. And nine days. Yeah, nine days to do it. Yeah, I got one or two little things. But the cold kind of takes the brunt of most of that. Sure. And she's kind of coming down to the fumes of both energy and time. Right. Top and out. Well, tech crunch has made it super easy. And they released their 2022 gift guide, which is great. And they've got, they've broken it down into coffee, stem toys. Extremely online books, fitness tech, super easy and shoppable. So that's what I'll be using. Because I've bought two presents so far. And I have nine days. Nice. What's the best thing on the list? What's the most exciting thing? Anything worth. I got a category. I mean, a Mac studio for your work from home office. Who wouldn't want that? Yeah, that sounds good. You know, that was the coolest thing in the home office section. What does that set you back? Oh, you know, just a small student loan. The MacBook Air is a better option. But you use that Apple credit card. You know, 0% interest. Finance that shit. That's my mom. These are some price of gifts here. You know, these are gifts for people you really like. Let's see, we'll go to the coffee section. This will be cheaper shortly. Start with the beans. Oh, like a little bean subscription for the coffee lover in your family. You can get a little portable coffee press, which is only like $40. Yeah, that sounds good. It could go with, um, we had what our holiday gift exchange yesterday. Maybe Nick needs to get that to go with his, uh, Joe, Joe. There you go. Little mini. Yeah, that's what I mean. I got my little, uh, solar charger, which could be on this list. How about stole that? And I'm just like, I almost stole my gift, too. I totally hear that. Um, and then I was just going to say, uh, TikTok released their food trends of 2020. Into the year, a wrap up all these big lists. Yeah, of course, it kicks off with the, um, Negroni Spagliato with Prosecco. You've seen all those. That is bougie. Have you had a Negroni Spagliato with Prosecco? Yeah, delicious. I love a good Negroni. They're good. They're good. And that green salad is on. Did you see like all the green salad that went viral? It's just like a bunch of vegetables. You need it with chips. That's on the top of the list. I'm pretty, uh, at this time of year, I'm pretty vegetable deprived. I've got to like, I'm not a New Year's eat like, like, resolution kind of guy. Yeah, try to like keep it all balanced. But I need some more vegetables in my life. I know this. Sure. Liz, at least you're self-aware enough. You know, yeah, self-aware. You want to share some some rad cast news from the road? Yeah, the, of course, everybody, I hope you enjoyed Tuesday's episode with John DeRonte, also a piano extraordinaire. What a great lesson he is. Yeah, and he's like, totally the New York guy too. He's like, total New York guy, total unassuming, but had a great story. I think he's super relatable. So if you haven't listened to that, if so, good check it out on all your favorite channels or wherever you're listening to this, just just hitting back one and you'll get right to it. So go check that out. We'll be continuing and finalizing here the next few weeks, I think, billion recordings. So continue to follow along. A lot of entrepreneurial journeys will be. Lots of cool episodes coming up. Yeah, which is why you need to subscribe. Don't just be a one-time listener. Like and subscribe. Comment. Yeah. Follow all the things. And in that vein, get yourself some swag. I don't know if you can, my video is showing. But I'm in the studio surrounded by all of the branded bells. And unfortunately, with only nine days till Christmas, you probably won't get it in time, but who doesn't love gifts in January? Why wouldn't you want to kick off the new year with the belated Christmas gift? Celebrate the season year round. And you can get 20% off with our Radcast20 coupon code. Ta-da. Go to branded bills, check them out. And you know, when you take that stuff, that you didn't really want back, you can go get you, you know. There you go. Yeah, buy it for yourself. Also, Valentine's Day is coming up. So always an option. Always options. We have any good social holidays. We do. We have ugly sweater day, which I'm kind of celebrating. I don't think it's ugly, but it certainly is like a little tacky with my little champagne. So I'm prepared. It's also national chocolate covered anything day, which can go in so many directions. But we'll just leave it at that. It's a funny chocolate covers anything. Okay. Right, right. Like a little bit of a night, Twitch. It's fine. It's fine. Love that. Celebrate in your own way. And it's also underdog day. Who doesn't love porn for the underdog? I know. It's just like underdog. I think it's like a, I'm having days out here. We got that quick. We've done enough social holiday years now. I usually repeat them, right? Is it underdog the show or is it just an underdog in general? Oh, no. I thought it was underdog in general underdog day to Google. It's, I know, it's just every third Friday in December. And it is, it's the little guy. Not just underdog the cartoon. That's such a strange time to that. But, you know, you don't want to ruin the underdog. Truly. I thought National Rudy Day or whatever. There you go. Oh, I love that movie. My God. Tomorrow, kind of keeping in our buddy, the elf theme that is a through line for this season. Tomorrow, December 17th is National Maple Surup Day. So they go for your pancakes. Get that a Saturday. I use, I used to not think that there was a difference between regular surf and like maple syrup. Rookie mistake or it wasn't worth the difference. That's something you learn when you're grown up. Like there's a big difference in the taste of love. Good maple syrup is worth every dime. And the 17th is also National Right Brothers Day. The lovely inventors of the airplane. So happy for them. Love that. Hanukkah kicks off. Which is exciting for all of our Jewish listeners. Hanukkah on December 18th. Do you like my mom has like a big affinity for Jewish culture? So we have like, Menoras in the house and we will play Dreadel on Christmas Eve. Which is, you know, fun. But she, she just has a big affinity for Jewish culture. And when I get like just the right amount of tipsy, my Italian really comes out and people often mistake it for Jewish. And the amount of times that I have been asked if I'm Jewish is concerning and also quite a compliment. I get very excited whenever anyone says, a Jewish, I'm like, this is the best day of my life. We're going to get to really tipsy so we can see you take your diet out. Listen, it'll happen. It happens at my comedy shows. It's full Mrs. Maisel. Full Mrs. Maisel. Yeah. When I hear of Hanukkah, I think of that out of fan love. Happy. Oh, yeah. So good. It's so good. And then December 19th is National oatmeal muffin day. Hyper-specific as all of these holidays are. And the 20th, we can celebrate National Sangria Day, which I certainly will be doing. Love me some sangria. I like it. I like to get sangria. I feel like if you like wine, you got to like sangria. Yeah. And I have nuts here. And that's our little social media holidays. I know. We're kind of coming up to the big, big daddy here soon. I know. I'm so excited. Next week we'll feature it. We've got some social media news in the throws of, you know, Elon Musk's Twitter takeover, which we have some some Elon Musk news. But Instagram conveniently has now released a notes feature in their app like when you go to your messages, you can post status updates and, you know, essentially tweets. And I've had several friends say that this is all they need to leave Twitter. So I'm interested to see how that's going to move forward. And they also have introduced candid stories to compete with Be Real. So it'll be very interesting to see how this all shakes out just with what's happening with social media in general. I think it's fascinating. And I've spread up and I see I haven't gotten, obviously it's on down like two weeks a week, maybe, depending on beta testers. I haven't like dabbled in it yet to like give it like a full, full on review or whatever. But it it is interesting how they're kind of going for the jugular a bit like with Twitter, you know, having issues like maybe we could backdoor our way into bringing those users over to a little who are a lot, where a lot of a lot of them are. Yeah. I don't know yet, who's this role does not. It's hard to always hard to tell on Twitter. But they're always trolling anyway. But pun intended, but it will be interesting. It does, it is interesting. I wonder what's the tipping point for Instagram being too bloated? I know, I know. And when they're like, you know, between Reels and now they've got notes and now you've got the candid options and you know, I mean, they, they really, what am I trying to say? When they released stories, right? That was the big, like to me, that was like, oh, and why do we care about Snapchat anymore? Like that was that was really when I was like, I don't want another app on my phone. So that was when I deleted Snapchat. So it was just interesting the things that stick and the things that like what, what, when it will become too bloated. Because even though I don't want a million social media apps, I don't just want one either. That's right. But then Elon Musk, our next little article is, he, it's not confirmed yet, but he's talking about increasing the tweet character limit from 280 to 4000, which to me, I mean, right, my thoughts on Elon Musk aside, I like Twitter because it's a short blurb. You know, I like, I don't, I don't mind the threads. I don't want to be on Twitter if I'm going to have to read for like, like a blog post. You know, just, I don't say it's suddenly a blog. Yeah, you know, start your own blog. I don't, that's that I hope that that doesn't happen, because nothing's been confirmed yet. But between like if Instagram is going to drop notes and then Elon Musk pushes a 40000 character limit, that to me feels like maybe not the final nail in the coffin, but like we're starting to hammer that coffin, let down. I still know Elon's smarter than me. He's smarter than a lot of people. He's done some wacky stuff slowly, but he's still an intelligent person. So I don't, but I don't know at the surface level, or get the 4000 character thing, but I would even, I would understand if he just, if you wanted to make him a little longer, okay, a little longer, there might, but 4000. I, yeah, that's a lot. And you're just completely kind of changing the, the angle of the platform, it seems, but I don't know when it makes me think, I'll reserve, reserve judgment, right? But like with Facebook, whenever I see a status that says see more, I scroll right past it. Like I don't, I don't want to read more about, you know, your family's dinner. But again, that's just me. For our marketing news this week, Pepsi's back. Last week we had Pilk. And this week, Pepsi's launching a limited time nutmeg cola. It's inspired by the game of soccer, which I don't personally get that connection, but good for Pepsi. And the drink will be available in an ultra limited product run with released details to be announced soon. I would dabble with this. I'm not, I'm not a nutmeg person. Okay. Understood. I'm not a Pepsi person. Like, I like Pilk better. And I will say this, it was easily like top three things I got DMed about of the year. Pilk, the Pilk, I like, we post it. Everybody like going either how disgusted they were or how funny they thought it was. It was, it caused quite the stir, stir, stir. Literally, stir it. Pilk. Yeah. I don't know if it's a lengthy low hand or the, or the tilt, but probably both. I mean, it's a smart smart collab. Yeah. And but nutmeg, I'd be a note for me dog. I would, I'd try it. I would try it. I wouldn't go out of my way to find it, but if it was presented to me, I would try it. But speaking of unlikely pairings, Blackpink, which is a K-pop group, they are teaming up with Oreo for Black and Pink cookies, which makes sense. Just kind of their name, Oreos. Oreos have been all over the map with their stuff. Right. It seemed like for how many every year, I don't know, maybe around 50, 60, 70 years. Some like that. Long time. But for, for 40 of them, they've never been off of a basic Oreo or a double stuff. Double stuff was as far as they got. But the last, I don't know, 10 years has it. They now just have to completely throw it out in the book. They'll go peanut butter or they go. Caracay, lemon. And to not to, you know, be a know it all, but I just googled it and Oreo originated in 1912. Whoa. Right. 110 years old. I was way off. Just a little just by like double, but it's fine. Yeah. I think you're owned by the biscuit now, but yeah, that who knows. But anyway, again, I would, I would try this. I would try a pink Oreo. Yeah, I can get down with that. I like to go branding at the point that I think, you know, I'd love to know. Like total sales, obviously, there's more people in the world. So there's probably more Oreo. Well, and this is available exclusively in Asia. Yeah, but like adding all of these branded things and all the, the different flavors and they, I'm sure the answer just for they probably wouldn't stop. But have they added more sales or are they just cannibalizing sales of regular records? Like, sure. Were you going to buy an Oreo anyway? Now you've got multiple choices. So you just are deciding between a choice or have they pulled people from other cookie decisions into their, they know, well, my thought would be, no, since even like you didn't ask, you know, you have like cookies and cream, which is the generic. Like if you can't get the copyright or get the actual Oreo, so my thought would be, if you have that option, right? I'm just a generic sandwich cookie and versus all of Oreo's ridiculous flavors. I mean, I would think that it, for as silly as it is, it's been a very smart move for them because any brand can come out. Like, I don't think that they can copyright or trademark that's like a chocolate vanilla chocolate sandwich cookie. So who knows? Not me. And they don't taste as good. The generic, the old Bobo generic Oreo never came. Like, something's come pretty close enough that I'll, like, okay, do the off brand, the off brand, not the off brand Oreo. No, not worth it. Never agreed. Keeping with our food theme, because I'm a Nick and I are starving and need to eat. Doritos is launching a name that triangle, social media contest hashtag name that triangle. They are participants can submit photos of their triangle inspired haircuts for the chance to win tickets to the Super Bowl. The challenge is inspired by Buffalo Bill's linebacker, Von Miller, who recently began sporting a triangle haircut. Got to love the NFL. Yeah. Only they would do this. Doritos have done this plan off the triangle a few times. A little different. But, um, you know, Von Miller's kind of crazy. I mean, he's actually obviously the first name. But I think he does the keeping from having that Doritos haircoat. And inspiring others. You need to get, uh, he's got a sponsor. So deal out of this. It's nothing else. Yeah. At that point, uh, I like some Doritos too now. God, same. You give me some cool ranch. That's, I was like, I'm a cool ranch girl. Damn right. I heard today about dipping Doritos in sour cream. Which like, I, I would eat sour cream with his boon. So that sounds like best snack ever. Do you, you know, I'll let you ask about. Oh, my God. That is, uh, so good. So I'm going to try it. You know, the purple bag of Doritos. Pretty good too. Yeah. The kind of sweet hot one. Kind of spicy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, kind of like me. We got to get you a Doritos collab. Yeah. Doritos, I'll be it. May I, I can, I can combine that. So our last, uh, last article of this episode, got a, a tight 25 minute episode here, um, is about Meghan Trainor, who's also viral on TikTok right now with her major look song, but she is teaming up with Elf Cosmetics and the weather channel. What a, what collaboration there, um, Meghan Trainor is the new face of Elf Cosmetics and the weather channels collaboration. She channeled, but that's her favorite weatherman. Al Roker for the campaign and wore a selection of sparkly iridescent looks with equally shiny makeup. Trainor says it was one of the best work days that anyone, um, that she's ever had and everyone was laughing on set. So this is kind of a fun, yeah. Fun intended. Right. The weather made you look too. Is that our new song? Yes, it is. Hey, yes, it is. Got a lot of, a lot of integrations here. Yeah, and like with, with women, people have always wanted to know what makeup, weather, channel, people wear because they're up so early. They always look so perfect. I mean, this was, I remember being little on my mom was like, you always want to know what anchor women are wearing because they always look perfect at 4 a.m. So again, smart little collab. Got a lot of Meghan Trainor layered makeup, I think. The camera, the camera had kind of hide the, how thick the makeup. That's also very true. High coverage. High coverage. Is that what that's called? Yes. Yeah. Yes, it is. And guy talk, you say, I, you know, I'll pick your coverage. And that's that's all different. Yes, I'll keep my coverage for sure. I got you. I'm tracking. That's all we got today. Anything. No, I mean, it's good. You know, we're keeping it light here. As we roll into the end of the year, we're still like black people with anything crazy. I think we're going to do a trend edition. Sometimes I've done these like November, December. And I think this year I've just decided we had someone's content to get out and think billions to kind of get into the year. Like maybe the first or second week in jay, new worries that everybody listening looking for like this. If you hold on marketing trends and stuff like that, it's coming. We're just taking to the lighter themes here. It'll be close out the new year. To the season. All our news editions. Love it. Well, yeah. Good stuff. Thanks for joining us this week. Now get your Christmas shopping done. Yeah. Don't be like me. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
